- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, listening to to.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't joy?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Joy, you know you.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn. I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Go to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You probably got to turn the mouth the word of
- 1:47Speaker 1: the monja. Look, come come out your think, huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 2: one and only.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It is Steve Harvey.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a radio show. Okay, this is timely
- 2:18Speaker 2: for everybody. I'm sure I want to offer you all
- 2:25Speaker 2: some encouragement because everybody needed. Let me tell you something.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You strike out on your goals, you strike out on
- 2:37Speaker 2: your aspirations, and so you strike out. As it happens
- 2:43Speaker 2: to all of us. Here it comes life. Life just
- 2:49Speaker 2: hits one of them bad notes, as it always does,
- 2:54Speaker 2: as it always does for all of us, for everybody. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 2: when those bad notes happen, when the haters come out
- 3:06Speaker 2: of nowhere, when the setback comes up, when when the
- 3:10Speaker 2: eyut of nowhere appears, when now I didn't see that
- 3:13Speaker 2: coming comes, Here's here's what you have to do here
- 3:19Speaker 2: is the thing that I have been teaching myself for
- 3:23Speaker 2: years that I used to not always understand. So I'm
- 3:29Speaker 2: trying to give it to you. You have to be
- 3:33Speaker 2: encouraged anyway. Now that's difficult, okay, Steve, what you're talking about.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You just told me all this discouraging stuff that can happen,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and you said you got to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you have to, because what's happening to you right now,
- 3:53Speaker 2: the thing that you're going through right now, the thing
- 3:56Speaker 2: that everybody's going through right now.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Ain't nobody on smooth said yelling man.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Everybody got something and if they if they don't smooth sailing,
- 4:05Speaker 2: just know this is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 4:08Speaker 2: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 4:11Speaker 2: happens everybody, So please stop stop getting on the old
- 4:15Speaker 2: woe is Me bandwagon, the old lord? Why met old lord?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Something always happened to me, something always happens to everybody.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But here's what you got to do. When you get
- 4:27Speaker 2: in moments like this, you got to be encouraged. You
- 4:31Speaker 2: got to remember in those times, in those times when
- 4:35Speaker 2: it's going wrong, you got to remember all that you've
- 4:39Speaker 2: been through. You got to remember all that you've come through.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You have to remember those other times when you felt
- 4:50Speaker 2: like this, and somehow, unexplainably you don't even really stop
- 4:55Speaker 2: to say nothing about it. It just changed for you.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And the problem that was is no more. And the
- 5:03Speaker 2: situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it, You
- 5:09Speaker 2: got around it, you got over it. Sometimes you just
- 5:14Speaker 2: got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got to
- 5:19Speaker 2: plow through it. But in those times when it's discouraging
- 5:24Speaker 2: for you, when you feel like giving up, those are
- 5:29Speaker 2: the test. Those are the moments that will determine whether
- 5:36Speaker 2: we make it or not.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'll tell you one thing for sure.
- 5:40Speaker 2: If you give up in these moments right here here
- 5:43Speaker 2: is a for show you'll never make it.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That that's unquestionably the deal.
- 5:50Speaker 2: If you give up in these dark times, if you
- 5:54Speaker 2: give up in these what you think is insurmountable moments,
- 5:58Speaker 2: if you turn back now here is the one thousand
- 6:03Speaker 2: percent for sure you ain't gonna make it. But there
- 6:07Speaker 2: is a bright side to this situation. If you keep
- 6:11Speaker 2: your head down, if you keep forging, if you keep
- 6:16Speaker 2: pressing on sometimes if you just stand there and sometimes
- 6:20Speaker 2: get knocked to your knees.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But if you stay in that place.
- 6:24Speaker 2: If you just stay there and ride the storm out,
- 6:28Speaker 2: my head is bloodied but unbowed. If you can just
- 6:33Speaker 2: stay there, if you consit in that moment and ride
- 6:41Speaker 2: it out, you will win. You will pass the test,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and you will get to move on to the next level.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But there is no next level without a test. You
- 6:54Speaker 2: can't get to grade six without passing grade five. You
- 6:59Speaker 2: can't be your senior without first being a junior. You
- 7:04Speaker 2: can't graduate without fulfilling the hours and requirements. You see,
- 7:09Speaker 2: I don't care what you do in life. Look at it.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's all set up on levels. Well, you've got to
- 7:16Speaker 2: accomplish the thing before in order to get to the
- 7:19Speaker 2: next level. And when you've made those level accomplishments, you
- 7:23Speaker 2: get to graduate. That you can go on and get
- 7:25Speaker 2: a master's and a pH d. You can go on
- 7:28Speaker 2: and become rich. You can go become wealthy, or you
- 7:31Speaker 2: can go or you can go somewhere and think yourself
- 7:33Speaker 2: in another set of circumstances. But you got to go
- 7:36Speaker 2: through something to get to something that ain't nothing free.
- 7:40Speaker 2: So you can stop that notion about being successful. That
- 7:43Speaker 2: is easy. Come on, man, if it was easy. What
- 7:47Speaker 2: we don't what we're talking about. It is not easy.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Stop thinking it is. It is difficult. But I'll tell
- 7:55Speaker 2: you what's even more difficult than becoming successful. What that
- 8:00Speaker 2: is Try not being successful your whole life. That's hard.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You are listening to a person who has done them
- 8:09Speaker 2: both been successful and really really been not successful.
- 8:17Speaker 1: And I got news for you. Both of them hard.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But I would rather deal with what it is to
- 8:23Speaker 2: be something, to make something out of myself, to force
- 8:27Speaker 2: myself to go to work when I don't feel like it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: This morning was a rough get up for me, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: I got up and I said thank you anyway, never
- 8:36Speaker 2: give up, and I do the watch this dude to
- 8:38Speaker 2: Heed the mess around and got close to me because
- 8:40Speaker 2: he just never gave up.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Get You can never ever give up. Never, It's not
- 8:46Speaker 1: an option.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Giving up cannot be an option for you.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You cannot do that. It's out of the question.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's inconceivable in your mind to quit, because to quit
- 8:59Speaker 2: is to what what you get when you quit nothing?
- 9:04Speaker 2: That is a reward for those who hang in there,
- 9:07Speaker 2: who never give up, who forge through, who see it through,
- 9:11Speaker 2: who get knocked down and get back up, who gets trample,
- 9:14Speaker 2: but somehow gathers themselves and get back to your knees.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But stay in that place, man, don't ever give up.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Don't let go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through,
- 9:25Speaker 2: Think of all you come through. Think of all He's
- 9:27Speaker 2: done for you. Think of all the times you thought
- 9:30Speaker 2: you wasn't gonna make it, but somehow, without you ever.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Even saying thank you, he got through. He got you
- 9:35Speaker 1: through it.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Anyway. That's that thing called grace. Now we kind of
- 9:38Speaker 2: need that in our life. All will all I need
- 9:42Speaker 2: is a little more grace. You can't give God no
- 9:46Speaker 2: money for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free. It's available
- 9:49Speaker 2: to everybody, but you can't get none if you quit.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Don't give up. I'll just tell you that flat out.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Don't ever give up your listening to the Steve Harvey
- 9:58Speaker 3: Morning Show.

- 10:26Speaker 1: I want to thank God for it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Man O man or man another trip somebody asked me yesterday.
- 10:35Speaker 2: They said, if you could get one thing for your birthday,
- 10:38Speaker 2: what's the one thing you could get? My response was

- 16:36Speaker 8: But like I said, the guy put the wrong pan
- 16:38Speaker 8: on the on the van, you know, and.
- 16:40Speaker 11: Actually this mother chicken.
- 16:41Speaker 8: Was actually still here, you know, here here at the

- 17:07Speaker 8: I got on it real bad about it from you know,
- 17:09Speaker 8: putting the wrong pain on there. But like I say this,
- 17:12Speaker 8: what you guys had was that was a chicken?
- 17:15Speaker 10: What was it?
- 17:16Speaker 8: Though?
- 17:16Speaker 10: That's why I'm asking you?
- 17:17Speaker 1: What was it? That was?
- 17:19Speaker 8: Actually what he put on there by mistake, Miss Tammy?

- 17:40Speaker 10: you're trying to call me about two hundred dollars? Are
- 17:42Speaker 10: you serious more than that? You owe me more than that.
- 17:47Speaker 10: You don't know who is allergic to that? And you're
- 17:50Speaker 10: calling me about two hundred dollars? Are you out of
- 17:53Speaker 10: your money?
- 17:54Speaker 11: Well? I wanted to credit you all that. You know
- 17:57Speaker 11: what I'm saying.
- 17:57Speaker 10: No, And it ain't gonna be no credit. It ain't
- 17:59Speaker 10: gonna be no credit. It ain't no credit. You mean credit?

- 18:25Speaker 3: Huh?
- 18:27Speaker 10: Are you stupid? I'm so annoyed right now. Seriously, we
- 18:30Speaker 10: ain't no woods people, ain't no country people going with you?
- 18:35Speaker 11: Okay, what would y'all liked it? Though? Right?
- 18:38Speaker 10: No, but you're gonna like my foot up yo, stove,

- 22:24Speaker 8: Take you.
- 22:26Speaker 1: All right?
- 22:27Speaker 3: Well? I also tell you Babma Tell's new Aliah barbie
- 22:31Speaker 3: that sold out immediately on her birthday yesterday. And that's
- 22:36Speaker 3: all coming up at the top of the hour. But
- 22:38Speaker 3: right now it is time to ask the clo. This
- 22:42Speaker 3: one's from Yolanda in Nashville. Yolanda writes, Steve, your birthday
- 22:46Speaker 3: is coming up. Yeah, it is today. It is Yolanda,
- 22:50Speaker 3: and she says, my husband and I pray that you
- 22:53Speaker 3: stay young at heart. We believe that entertaining others is
- 22:57Speaker 3: your ministry, and the motivational talks are great, but we
- 23:00Speaker 3: would love, love love for you to stop, customer. Can
- 23:04Speaker 3: you do that now?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Who is this? Was?
- 23:06Speaker 3: Her name is Landa. She's got a national.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Yolanda in the in the in the in the in
- 23:11Speaker 2: the in the uh what do we call it? In
- 23:13Speaker 2: the tone of what my new mantra is for twenty
- 23:19Speaker 2: twenty five, I could care more less. I don't even
- 23:30Speaker 2: know why you came over here with that. This ain't
- 23:35Speaker 2: I appreciate the birthday wish. I appreciate the longevity. I
- 23:40Speaker 2: appreciate you recognizing that. Did I stay young at heart?
- 23:43Speaker 2: All out here? But why would I stop doing the
- 23:50Speaker 2: two things that has maintained my life and career. These
- 23:57Speaker 2: two things have been with me and I don't see
- 24:01Speaker 2: no reason why to stop.
- 24:04Speaker 3: She just asked, yeah, yeah.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Do you want to know what the two things are?
- 24:09Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:09Speaker 1: What we do? What? Okay? Cussin?
- 24:12Speaker 3: Yeah and line.
- 24:14Speaker 1: There is no reason why I would girl.
- 24:18Speaker 3: That's all she asked. So one little thing. So that's
- 24:21Speaker 3: a no, hard, no hard no, all right, Sorry, Landa,
- 24:28Speaker 3: you tried.
- 24:29Speaker 1: All right?
- 24:31Speaker 13: Why moving on to Desmond in Albany, Desmond rites, I
- 24:39Speaker 13: mean a year older than you, Steve, And like you,
- 24:42Speaker 13: I'm trying to eat right and I work out.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I have a healthy sex life, but I'm not getting
- 24:47Speaker 3: it like I used to because of you. So many
- 24:50Speaker 3: of us men are trying to stay fit as we age.
- 24:54Speaker 3: But what about the mental health part of it? I
- 24:57Speaker 3: know you get knocked down, So how do you you
- 25:00Speaker 3: get back up?
- 25:01Speaker 12: Oh?
- 25:01Speaker 3: Good question? Doesn't prayer?
- 25:03Speaker 1: Very good prayer, prayer and faith.
- 25:08Speaker 2: See I have a track record for getting knocked down
- 25:11Speaker 2: that every time I've ever been knocked down in the
- 25:14Speaker 2: whole entire sixty eight years.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I've always gotten back up.
- 25:19Speaker 2: So now with that type of track record, I have
- 25:22Speaker 2: no doubt that I will continue to get up.
- 25:25Speaker 1: What people fail.
- 25:26Speaker 2: To realize sometimes is you fail to look at all
- 25:29Speaker 2: the things you've overcome in your life and then something
- 25:32Speaker 2: new come up and you act like it's a natural catastrophe. No,
- 25:35Speaker 2: it's just another one of them things. And the older
- 25:38Speaker 2: you get, it's not that life gets easier. It gets
- 25:41Speaker 2: more complicated and more difficult. You just get better at
- 25:44Speaker 2: handling it. So knock me down if you want to,
- 25:47Speaker 2: you can stand over me, but be careful because I'm
- 25:52Speaker 2: getting up.
- 25:54Speaker 1: It's no doubt in my mind that I'll get up.
- 25:58Speaker 2: It's it's just no doubt why I've gotten up for
- 26:01Speaker 2: sixty eight years.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Man.
- 26:03Speaker 2: All right, now, now let's talk about this now. Because
- 26:07Speaker 2: you was talking about six. You getting up. He don't
- 26:14Speaker 2: always make the trip you can get up.
- 26:19Speaker 1: He may not always make it two times.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because he came in here talking about six. All right,
- 26:28Speaker 2: we know nobody getting it like that.
- 26:31Speaker 1: It ain't giving it.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You not only ain't getting it like you used to,
- 26:36Speaker 2: you ain't giving it like you used.
- 26:37Speaker 3: To Hello, Hello, Jerry and Jefferson flo because most times
- 26:49Speaker 3: if I call my husband, he will get another call
- 26:51Speaker 3: and he'll answer it and then click back over and
- 26:54Speaker 3: say it was a spam call. It's funny that he
- 26:57Speaker 3: never gets spam calls at home. My gut tell me
- 27:00Speaker 3: he's lying. Is he getting calls from other women? That's
- 27:04Speaker 3: what cherry is.
- 27:05Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, Now he's getting other calls.
- 27:08Speaker 1: It don't have to be from women.
- 27:10Speaker 2: A lot of spam callses women, though a lot of
- 27:13Speaker 2: spam causes women.
- 27:16Speaker 3: We're talking about.
- 27:19Speaker 1: The spam call can be a female voice.
- 27:21Speaker 3: You do know that catch but it says spam. Yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 3: but it's yeah, that's the point here.
- 27:28Speaker 1: It don't always think.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Well, but if it says spam, why would he call?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Why would not they know? They don't always sometimes be
- 27:34Speaker 2: a phone number.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and so he's just talking sam call. But the
- 27:45Speaker 3: point is you don't answer spam calls.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yes, so okay, I don't understand if you
- 27:55Speaker 2: know he lying?
- 27:57Speaker 3: Uh huh?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Why what he tell you it's a girl? Exactly?
- 28:12Speaker 3: Did I still have a landline? He never?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Purpose of purpose.
- 28:17Speaker 14: Of lyne If you ain't gonna use them? Oh yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 14: why would he tell the truth though all of a sudden?
- 28:32Speaker 3: All right, last last one. See this is from Kinetra
- 28:37Speaker 3: in Tulsa Felo. Kineti writes, I had a man over
- 28:41Speaker 3: for dinner, and I require my guests to take their
- 28:43Speaker 3: shoes off in my house. His feet were so funky
- 28:48Speaker 3: that he had to say something. He said, it happens
- 28:51Speaker 3: when he gets real nervous. Should I appreciate his honesty?
- 28:57Speaker 3: Or is this a deal breaker to you?
- 29:01Speaker 1: I have heard a lot of stuff in.
- 29:03Speaker 3: My life, a lot of lies.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But don't nobody feet stink costs they nervous? Wow, you
- 29:13Speaker 2: done had them shoes so long and wore them socks
- 29:19Speaker 2: for too long, and you keep See you can wash
- 29:23Speaker 2: your feet and put them in a clean sock. But
- 29:26Speaker 2: if you stick them down in them shoes and you
- 29:28Speaker 2: keep walking, you drum up and older in a shoe.
- 29:34Speaker 2: You it's down in there, it's soaked dein, it's in
- 29:37Speaker 2: the leather, it's in the soul.
- 29:39Speaker 1: You just you just walk around, you.
- 29:41Speaker 9: Know how you know how funky that is in the cold,
- 29:45Speaker 9: or you know how to stink? You got to be
- 29:46Speaker 9: in the cold for it to be some many likening.
- 29:51Speaker 5: You.

- 54:14Speaker 2: Boy man, miss me, I'm trying. Quit trying.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Don't you cry?

- 56:24Speaker 3: thanking if your subject? I don't feel anything for him.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Here Stephen Shirley. I'm a fifty two year old widowed
- 56:31Speaker 3: woman and I find it hard to find a partner
- 56:34Speaker 3: that will satisfy me. I've been back in the dating
- 56:37Speaker 3: pool for six years and I've slept with three men,
- 56:40Speaker 3: and none of them measured up to my ex husband.
- 56:43Speaker 3: One of them came close, but he couldn't last as
- 56:45Speaker 3: long as my husband. When I say measure up, I
- 56:49Speaker 3: mean that the men are in a different size class.
- 56:52Speaker 3: They were all younger than I am, so I assume
- 56:55Speaker 3: that God stopped passing out big ones after the seventies.
- 57:00Speaker 3: I decided to date an older guy that goes to
- 57:03Speaker 3: my church. He's fifty eight, and the sex was so disappointing.
- 57:08Speaker 3: He knows how to make love, but he's not blessed
- 57:11Speaker 3: with sighs. He is also a cuddler, and I don't
- 57:15Speaker 3: like the way he smells. His beard, oils and body
- 57:18Speaker 3: sprays irritate my sinuses and it's hard for me to
- 57:22Speaker 3: relax when my nose is burning. He always asks me
- 57:26Speaker 3: why I'm resisting a relationship with him, and I finally
- 57:29Speaker 3: told him that I want my next real relationship to
- 57:32Speaker 3: be perfect because my husband has set the bar pretty high.
- 57:37Speaker 3: He said, since we were being honest, he wanted me
- 57:39Speaker 3: to know that he's seeing another lady, but he likes
- 57:42Speaker 3: me more. He said, we're perfect for each other and
- 57:46Speaker 3: he could spend the rest of his life with me,
- 57:48Speaker 3: but he does not want to get married. He wants
- 57:52Speaker 3: to live together. He said that he is ready to
- 57:55Speaker 3: take an all to take on all of my financial responsibility.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Then he told me that he's as close to perfect
- 58:03Speaker 3: as I'm going to get. At my age. The pressure
- 58:06Speaker 3: is on me now. That whole conversation irritated me, but
- 58:10Speaker 3: maybe he's right. I want desperately to be married again,
- 58:14Speaker 3: but this man made me a great offer. Would I
- 58:17Speaker 3: be foolish to let him go and keep on dating
- 58:19Speaker 3: other men in hopes of finding my next husband. There's
- 58:24Speaker 3: a lot going on in this letter. It would be
- 58:28Speaker 3: called settling. If you married this man and don't get
- 58:31Speaker 3: what you want. You've compared all of these men to
- 58:35Speaker 3: your husband, and that's not gonna work because you don't
- 58:38Speaker 3: even like this guy. What do you even have in common,
- 58:41Speaker 3: you have anything in common. He likes to cuddle afterwards,
- 58:45Speaker 3: you don't because his smell bothers you, and you say
- 58:48Speaker 3: sex with him is disappointing. So what is the point?
- 58:52Speaker 3: And I know you're not okay with him dating another
- 58:54Speaker 3: woman while he's dating you.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Are you?
- 58:57Speaker 3: He offered to take care of you financially, you're considering it.
- 59:02Speaker 3: I don't think you thought this thing through at all.
- 59:05Speaker 3: This man does not want to get married, and you
- 59:07Speaker 3: do so again, what is the point? You have nothing
- 59:11Speaker 3: in common? You say the pressure is on you now,
- 59:13Speaker 3: but it's not really. You could take your time. You're
- 59:16Speaker 3: only fifty two years old. Don't get married because you're
- 59:20Speaker 3: desperate and you have to take these men for who
- 59:23Speaker 3: they are. You can't compare them to who your late
- 59:26Speaker 3: husband was. And desperation is certainly not a reason to
- 59:29Speaker 3: rush into a marriage to you, I say, slow down,
- 59:33Speaker 3: all right, come on birthday boy?
- 59:36Speaker 2: Yeah? Well you know what in honor or my new
- 59:39Speaker 2: mantra for twenty twenty five, Uh huh, I could give
- 59:43Speaker 2: more less than So I'm gonna read this letter of
- 59:51Speaker 2: how I'm really feeling.
- 59:53Speaker 1: All right, Okay, I don't feel anything for him slash.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: He may not feel nothing for you either. Well let's go.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: I'm fifty two, old witted women and I find it
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: hard to find a partner that would satisfy me.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I've been to Dayton Pool six years.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I'd have slept with three men, and none of them
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: measure up to my ex husband. One of them came close,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: but he couldn't last as long as my husband. Well,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: let me go through something in this letter. First of all,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: I think you might be too much if you ask me,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: But who you keep comparing all these people to? One
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: of them came close, but he couldn't last as long
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: as my husband? Your husband dead? Can we be clear
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: about this? He is gone? So how long did he
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: really last? Because he dead?
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: So far? Everybody else is our lasting? His ass he gone?
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: So now all is hear about how long your man
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: can last? And all that he gone? He gone so
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: much for lasting? He might can make love a long time,
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: but he damn sure couldn't live too far.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: So now what is you?
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: What if we want to trade it? I don't feel
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: like it today. What I say measure up? I mean
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: men are.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Different size class. Oh, here we go.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: They are all younger and I'm assuming God stop passing
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: out big ones after the seventies.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Now, can't nobody measure up?
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: It could be you once again, it could be you.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: You know, sometimes when you're talking about a man's size,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: sometimes we need to talk about your size. Oh hello,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: the opposite.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: It's a track.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: What goes around comes around. Something can be too small. See,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: we just need to have an honest conversation here. Maybe,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: just maybe it ain't to me. I just want to
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: put that out there for consider ration. I'm celebrating my
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: sixty eighth birthday today.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Yes, you are in my lifetime.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: I've had one experience, and I'll tell you about it
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: when I come back.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: All right, coming up automatic.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: At twenty three minutes after the hour, we'll recap the
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Strawberry letter, and we'll have part two of Steve's response.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: The today subject is I don't feel anything for him.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: We'll get back into that right after this.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Did you know you could now buy a Hondai on Amazon,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: the same place where you order yoga mats, a toothbrush,

- 1:03:13Speaker 3: All right, come on, see let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: The subject I don't feel anything for him.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Well, like I said, I'm doing this letter. It was
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: my new mantrel that I could give. I could give
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: more less than an I'm fifty two years old. Woman
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: find it hard to find a party that was satisfied.
- 1:03:31Speaker 12: Men.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: And what we don't know is all she talked about
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: is six This is all she talked about in this letter.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I've been back in the Dayton pool six years.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: I've dated three men, and none of them could come
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: close or last as long as my husband, who is dead.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I just want to point that out. He could last
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: a long time, but he is dead. That's what widow means.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: That means you was married to somebody, but they have
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: passed away, so missed.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I can't last a long time. Is dead. We know what, daddy.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: I'd rather be here than be able to be in
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: bed with you for three hours.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I'd rather be here.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I can go to the store or something set up
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: in here and be into bed with.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You for three hours.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: I'd rather go to the damn store, walk around Target
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: with Monica. That's what I'd rather do if I had
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: a choice. I'm not finish, sit up in here and
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: trade in my life shore. I can be dead and
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: then people talking about me how long I last in bed?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: How long did I where my next birthday at? That's
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: the one I'm looking for. Anyway, when I say mersure up,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: I mean that men are in a different size class.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: They was all young, and I'm assuming God stop passing
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: out the big ones after the seventh so you just
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: want a big one? Well, you know, and they got
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: to look at it like this. Things can be too small,
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: but something it can be too big. Now I got
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: great share. I'm sixty eight years old and I've had
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: an experience one time. Well, I was just was not
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: who I thought I was. I was considered, as you
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: are calling in this letter, inadequate. But I've discovered in
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: my life that it wasn't that I was inadequate. It's
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: that who I was dating was too much. That was
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: just one date. It's just one date. One night, the
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: only full one, No, and that's what it was. And
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: I couldn't wait to get up out of there once again.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Maybe ish u. He is a cuttler, and I don't
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: like the way he smells his beard oils and body
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: sprays irritate my sinuses. That's because he buy that stuff
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: down on the corner in the hood. The musk oils,
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: them oils that they sail on the street. The musk oils.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Don't buy that. Go to stove and get you some
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: colone in a bottle. That musk oil is whoa good lord?
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: You being there smelling like a ringano and basil. It
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: smelling like fresh cut grass being there k Walker after
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: wild smell like hey, you know when you get hot,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: then musk all had you in that smelling like an
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: old ass college. It just you have just been up
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: in there like what is he got on? What is
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: them turnips?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: And he always asked me why I'm resistant relationship with him?
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: And I finally told him I want my next real
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: relationship to be perfect because my husband had set the
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: ball pretty up pretty hot. Were talking about him. He dead,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I ain't gonna tell you this now more. This is
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: the third time. You the body dead ass up Now
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: if he was all that, he.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Still be living. He dead, and you want everybody act
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: like the dead man. It's not fit to happen. I
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: don't know nobody dead. I want to be like.
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Damn it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Stop asking these men to live up to your dead
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: ass husband, because he not.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: He wanted me to know that he's because I'm perfect,
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: because my husband had set the ball pity, he said,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: since we being honest, I'm seeing another lady.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: But I like you more. Wow, he said, we're perfect
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: for each other.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: He could spend the rest of his life with me,
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: but he does not want to get married. He wants
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: to live together. He don't want you. He don't want you,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: and you don't want him. He stink, He stink, and
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: he's small. You don't like his bed oil, you don't
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: like his set. He probably smelled like his house. You
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: ever been over his house? He fifty eight, lived by himself.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: All people house smell, butcher house smell. I used to
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: go by butchery house. He lived with his honest he smelled,
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: had just a different little twang to it, and that's
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: what it is. He buy himself, got his shoes at
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: the door and stuff Jim's shoes under the bed. Got
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: a pair of you know, laundry room stay open. He
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: ain't got no hand for clothes, just in the floor
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: somewhere he's stinking.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: He said that he was ready to take on all
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: my financial responsibility. Oh, that's a big one. Then he
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: told me he's close to perfect because I'm gonna get
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: it my age. Shirley said, you shouldn't settle, but you
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: do have to consider this now because you're dating for
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: the wrong reason. If you're dating for good sex, are
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: you dating for a man that can care for you
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: and take care of it. I think he's checking all
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: the boxes. The precious on me now. The whole conversation
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: irritated me, but maybe he's right. I want desperately to
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: be married again. This man has made me a great offer.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Would I be foolish to let him go and keep
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: on dating other men? Well, you need to stop dating
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: all these other men in the hopes of finding my
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: next husband.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: You ain't gonna find your next husband.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Your next husband gonna have to find you that you
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: then already had a man say he's spend the next
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: rest of.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: His life with you.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: He just don't want to marry you, so something wrong
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: with you, And he'd had already told you he's seeing
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: another woman. He just liked you better. You know why

- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I haven't done that in a while. I have worked
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: on my birthday today. Yeah yeah, man, yeah.
- 1:24:39Speaker 16: You know.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: And closing, you know what I want to say.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: Man, First of all, let me just give thanks and
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: honor to God Allmighty for just giving me a life
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: of longevity and a life and a life of health.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: I'm healthy, man, and I thank God for that. I
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: think we all should be grateful for our health, whatever
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: measure of health we have. Some of us is going
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: through some things, but the key is through it, going
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: through it, gotten past it. And so I just want
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: to thank God Almighty for a life of longevity and
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: of good health. I hope I live a long life.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: I hope to live a lot longer. That's one of
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: my prayers. I want to live a long time. I
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: got some things I want to see, you know. I
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: want to see all my son's children I want to
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: see I want to live long enough to see my
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: grandkids have a kid. You know, I'd love to be
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: around to see that, you know. I want to live
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: long enough to see what little BJ gonna turn into,
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: see what he end up doing with his life. Is
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: he gonna ball, is he gonna coach, if he's gonna
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: be in computers, if he's gonna build something. I just
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: want to see it all, man. I want to I wanna.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: I want to live an impactful life. I want to
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: change the way African Americans view Africa. I want to
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: change the way Africa view are African Americans. I want
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: to change the way black people travel. I want to
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: change the way black people view themselves. I want to
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: be a contributor to the uplift and edification of black people.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: I'm not going to be a part of the demise
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: of black people. I'm not going to be a part
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: of the culture of criticizing a person all the time.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: I want God to always keep it in my heart
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: that I be a motivational person, a positive person that
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: tries to bring people up instead of tearing people down.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: I wish I could change that culture that we live
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: in now, but I don't know if I'm capable of
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: doing that. But I know I'm capable of doing my share,
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: and I invite everybody else to do the same. Be
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: in the uplift uptick business. Don't be in the tear
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: down business. You can do that now. I know it
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: seems to be popular nowadays for clicks and likes for
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: people to be in the negative business. But you don't
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: have to be a part of that. You know there's
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: a price for that. There's a penalty you have to pay.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: The Bible says do unto others as you would have
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: them do unto you. So if you're in the hate business,
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: do you understand that God's laws are real, that you
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: are not free to escape his laws, the laws of
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: the universe, the thing that God put into play, do
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: unto others as you would have them.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Do unto you. Do you understand that that's in play that?
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: Do you understand that we have an obligation to love
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: one another, to treat each other right? Do you know
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: that we are under a mandate to be kind to
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: one another, to do something for the less fortunate? Do
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: you understand that we have that placed upon us? Now,
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: you can ignore it if you want to, but that
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: don't stop the placement. Do you understand that the law
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: of attraction is real, that it is is what it is,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: that what you put out is what you're going to
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: get back. Do you know that you operate just like
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: a remote control on a TV. Do you know if
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: you point your remote control at your TV this is
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: where it came from, and you press the own button,
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: you look at your TV with the expectation.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Of one thing for that TV to come on. Do
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: you know if HBO or.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: Is channel four point fifty, if you press four point
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: fifty and select and point it at your TV, do
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: you know you actually stand there with one expectation for
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: HBO to come on your TV? Do you know what
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: appears on your TV? HBO? Do you know where they
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: got that concept from? They got that concept from God?
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: Because God said a man is as he thinketh, and
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: if he can put that concept in a remote control.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: The most powerful remote control you have is your brain.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: Do you know that your brain has the power to
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: emit a signal and that signal has to be returned.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Do you understand that's how life works?
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: So mental remote control is emitting negative signals. Do you
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: know what has to come back to you? Negativity? Some
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: people can't figure out what they life can't get on track.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: It's because you keep wanting everybody else's to be off track.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: Some people cannot figure out why they keep running on
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: a treadmill because you ain't pulling for nobody else, You
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: ain't helping nobody else.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Sometimes, man, you can be and you are your own
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: worst enemy.
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: Stop mistreating your brother, Stop mistreating your sister. Get your
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: life together. I thank God that he gave me that understanding.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: You can talk about me as much as you want.
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: When you get through talking about me, there's nothing you
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: can do. I heard somebody say I'm gonna destroy him.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Do you know My response to that is, I'm not
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: yours to destroy.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: See. I know who I am, and I know whose
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: I am.
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: I don't belong to nobody online. I don't belong to
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: nobody on the internet. I belong to my creator, the
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: person that created me. God created me, God made me.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: God put this path I'm on in place for me.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: God gave me my role, my destiny. God put me
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: on the mission. Not you.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: And you think you can stop what God got planned.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: In the words of my boy Incy that be on
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: the Instagram all the time, you ain't that nice man.
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: You really ain't that nice that you think you can
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: stop what God got planned. Inky said it best You
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: Ain't that nice?
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: What God is? And I got all mine based on him.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: I invite y'all to do the same.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Man, get yourself a relationship with God and have the
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: best twenty twenty five you can have, because that's my plan.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Appreciate it man. Happy birthday to me. Thank y'all for everybody.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: Appreciate you. Monica for having teddys WILLMS call in.
