- 2:17Speaker 1: How amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 1: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 1: just sit up, Just let's run a survey. Just look
- 2:31Speaker 1: at your life where it's at. It might not be
- 2:34Speaker 1: where you wanted to be, but that's probably some decisions
- 2:36Speaker 1: you made. But really, though, in spite of all the
- 2:40Speaker 1: crazy mistakes out of made, I mean, man, I I
- 2:46Speaker 1: look back at some of the decisions I didn't came
- 2:47Speaker 1: up with, and and and man, it's it's it's just
- 2:50Speaker 1: amazing he let me live. I mean, it's it's and
- 2:53Speaker 1: and and to exist the way I exist, that's nothing
- 2:56Speaker 1: but grace, mercy, favor all it is. That's what my
- 3:00Speaker 1: mama praying for me when I wasn't praying for myself.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It had to be it, because, man, I can truly
- 3:06Speaker 1: tell you I have made enough mistakes man, stuff you
- 3:10Speaker 1: would never even know about, and recovered from them all
- 3:16Speaker 1: you can too, And I don't care what you've done.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Marvin Sapp has a song out that says he saw
- 3:23Speaker 1: the best in me when everyone else around me could
- 3:27Speaker 1: only see the worst in me. You know that that's
- 3:30Speaker 1: an important song man, especially you know. I want to
- 3:35Speaker 1: talk to men today because man, being a man is
- 3:41Speaker 1: so so difficult. Please no, it has been my quest
- 3:48Speaker 1: ever since I was a little boy. My father had
- 3:51Speaker 1: one ambition, son, I don't care what you do both.
- 3:55Speaker 1: When I get through raising you, you will be a man.
- 3:59Speaker 1: That's all I want want you to be. And he
- 4:00Speaker 1: never cared what I did for a living, and it
- 4:02Speaker 1: never made a difference to him. You're going to be
- 4:05Speaker 1: a man. Manhood is difficult now, ladies, just listening to
- 4:08Speaker 1: this I'm not saying womanhood ain't. I don't know what
- 4:12Speaker 1: it takes to be a woman, so you know, I'm
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm but I do know exactly what it takes to
- 4:17Speaker 1: be a man. So you know, sometimes when you talk
- 4:20Speaker 1: to people on the radio, you have to preface things
- 4:23Speaker 1: because people are just go he trying to make it
- 4:25Speaker 1: look like womanhood ain't. No, That's not what I'm doing.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'm just talking to men today to explain to them.
- 4:31Speaker 1: To Daign by hisself and struggling trying to figure this
- 4:34Speaker 1: thing out, that you are not alone in your quest
- 4:37Speaker 1: for manhood, that is difficult, even though it's interesting. Yesterday,
- 4:41Speaker 1: the Dating Game guy, he said the reason I didn't
- 4:44Speaker 1: get to say this on the air, but I read
- 4:45Speaker 1: his profile. He said one of the reasons he was
- 4:48Speaker 1: still single because he was trying to find himself as
- 4:51Speaker 1: a man. He was forted too. But I'm I gotta
- 4:54Speaker 1: I go. I gotta tell you, man, um manhood is
- 4:59Speaker 1: that kind of difficult, and it becomes even more compounded
- 5:02Speaker 1: if a young boy does not have a male role model.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I've said it a thousand times, I'll say it again.
- 5:09Speaker 1: A young boy without a male role model is like
- 5:13Speaker 1: an explorer without a map. Well, I have a suggestion
- 5:16Speaker 1: for everybody that's struggling with manhood and all of the
- 5:20Speaker 1: men out there that are men. This messages for all
- 5:22Speaker 1: of us, and it's for me too. You know. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was listening to Joyce Myers the other day and um,
- 5:29Speaker 1: she made a statement. She said, sometimes you gotta do
- 5:32Speaker 1: the right thing even when it feels wrong. You know.
- 5:36Speaker 1: One of the difficulties of manhood is pure pressure and
- 5:43Speaker 1: the misguided principles of manhood. See what God wants us
- 5:48Speaker 1: to be as men and what we believe manhood it
- 5:53Speaker 1: is is sometimes two different things. Give you an example.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I wrote this book for women, right and I was
- 6:00Speaker 1: telling them the three ways that a man shows his love,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and I call him three ps. We profess, we protect,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 6:11Speaker 1: how he exhibits love. We're not talkie talkie comforting with
- 6:16Speaker 1: not great nurturist. But when it comes down to to it,
- 6:19Speaker 1: what we all want to do, what is in our
- 6:21Speaker 1: day DNA, is to profess our love for something you
- 6:25Speaker 1: as a woman, to protect you as a woman, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: to provide for you as a woman. That's in our
- 6:29Speaker 1: DNA now sometimes that gets messed up. And I'll give
- 6:33Speaker 1: you an example. Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper,
- 6:37Speaker 1: real role model in his life, he takes that principle
- 6:40Speaker 1: of love that we all possessing us every man, the
- 6:43Speaker 1: professing part, the protecting and the and the and the
- 6:46Speaker 1: providing part, and we misplay it. That's why gangs exist.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Gangs exist off those three principles. What's the first thing
- 6:55Speaker 1: a gang member do? He professed, He claimed the hood.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That's the first thing do. This is my neighborhood. I'm
- 7:01Speaker 1: duce tray, I'm triple h, I'm due de dude, I'm purple,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm I'm red, I'm blue. The first thing they do
- 7:08Speaker 1: is claim. That's professing. That's how we show our love.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But it's misguided though. Now we're professing something that ain't
- 7:16Speaker 1: even good for us. Your hood, your game, your click.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Now guess what. Now we got to protect it. So
- 7:24Speaker 1: now as a protection part of our love, here we go.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You come down here, we're gonna do this to you.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You go over there, they're gonna do that to you.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You protect your hood. This is your turf, this is
- 7:35Speaker 1: all you got. You ain't nobody coming down here with
- 7:38Speaker 1: blue owned. Can anybody come over here with red on?
- 7:40Speaker 1: You can't come over here with purple on. You can't
- 7:41Speaker 1: come over here with black and gold on. And we
- 7:44Speaker 1: and we protect that because that's in our da name.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And then what's the third thing we provide? So guess
- 7:50Speaker 1: what the game needs money? Guess what we do. We're
- 7:53Speaker 1: selling drugs, We're selling women, we're selling guns. It go
- 7:59Speaker 1: back to the same thing. Man. I don't know how
- 8:01Speaker 1: God gave it to me that way when I was
- 8:03Speaker 1: writing a book, but he showed it to me along
- 8:05Speaker 1: the way. That's how men love well. When you don't
- 8:08Speaker 1: have a role model in your life. Guess what not
- 8:10Speaker 1: that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's off track. Ain't
- 8:14Speaker 1: no man told you that. Really, you're supposed to take
- 8:16Speaker 1: this love and give it to a woman. You're really
- 8:18Speaker 1: supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman, not
- 8:22Speaker 1: your gang set. Now you're professing your hood, repping a color,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by coming over
- 8:30Speaker 1: you on your street. And then you provide. Now you
- 8:32Speaker 1: are here selling drugs and guns for the same thing.
- 8:35Speaker 1: When a boy does not have a male role model,
- 8:38Speaker 1: he has a misguided way of looking at manhood. The
- 8:43Speaker 1: reason I'm saying is today is cause fellas, this is
- 8:46Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Core tripping yourself out, man and find
- 8:50Speaker 1: out the type of man God wants you to be.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Here's the deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:56Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our idea
- 8:59Speaker 1: and in him. That's why I send your DNA to profess,
- 9:03Speaker 1: protect and provide, because guess what, that's what God do
- 9:06Speaker 1: for us, because we his children. God provides for us,
- 9:12Speaker 1: He protects us, and he professes his love for us.
- 9:16Speaker 1: He claims us, he died on the cross for us.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He done all that for us. I'm just talking to
- 9:21Speaker 1: me and right now, you don't want to be in
- 9:24Speaker 1: your house when the when the cop knocking on the dope?
- 9:26Speaker 1: You want to be laying there pc when my doorbell
- 9:29Speaker 1: rang and go answer because ain't no police coming over here,
- 9:32Speaker 1: cause I ain't done nothing for them to come. You
- 9:34Speaker 1: can't go to your dough like that when you got
- 9:36Speaker 1: weed in the back, you got crack in the back,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you got cocaine in the back. You can't go answering
- 9:41Speaker 1: your dough. You hear that, you gotta start flushing tarlets
- 9:45Speaker 1: and stuff. Man, that's crazy. I'm just telling you, man,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I had to wake up about five years ago. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: wasn't doing what God wanted me to do, and then
- 9:55Speaker 1: he shook me. He said, Man, I'm gonna bring about
- 9:57Speaker 1: some changes in your life. I'm gonna call some things
- 9:59Speaker 1: to happen that's gonna put you in a position. And
- 10:02Speaker 1: this time you're gonna listen to me, because if you don't,
- 10:05Speaker 1: you're gonna keep living in this pain you've been in.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But you put yourself in this pain. I owe no
- 10:11Speaker 1: blame to no one else but myself. Please know, I
- 10:14Speaker 1: know that. And that's how we really get to manhood.
- 10:17Speaker 1: When you figure out what you hadn't done wrong. You
- 10:19Speaker 1: can't blame this on none of your exes because you're
- 10:21Speaker 1: a man. You can't go my ex dear this. No, No,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you're a man. Partner. You gotta take responsibility for yours
- 10:28Speaker 1: and yours alone. If you got kids, you got to
- 10:32Speaker 1: get to him some kind of way. Write him a letter,
- 10:35Speaker 1: send them the money. If she won't let you see it,
- 10:37Speaker 1: for the money, whatever, send the money to a mama.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Do what you're supposed to do as a man. Do
- 10:43Speaker 1: what God wants you to do man, because he's not
- 10:45Speaker 1: letting us off the hook for what we're supposed to
- 10:48Speaker 1: be just because you ain't doing it. And if you
- 10:51Speaker 1: do it, you turn your life around. Just holding that
- 10:54Speaker 1: the fellas today, that's all. Sorry about that. You're listening to,
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Now I have your undivided attention, please.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Today's show is dedicated to the ignorant, to those of
- 11:11Speaker 1: you who are touched, slightly deranged, have been accused, or
- 11:16Speaker 1: have heard the two words you crazy. That's who this
- 11:21Speaker 1: show was dedicated to. Oh and when we mean it,
- 11:27Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry, who does not fit in
- 11:30Speaker 1: that category at thank you sir, Hey are you sure

- 12:04Speaker 1: food your side, He's heard it, your your side. If

- 12:12Speaker 1: your man, baby, I'm your man, dedication, dedicated. We ought
- 12:16Speaker 1: to have a holiday sometime. You understand what I'm saying.

- 12:58Speaker 1: to do, and I get the damn grill going. It's
- 13:03Speaker 1: that time. Huh yeah? Is that? That's what I'm down
- 13:05Speaker 1: here for twelve days as a vegan. Enjoyed it. But
- 13:11Speaker 1: bye bye, can't down here. Ain't no way in here.
- 13:19Speaker 1: They have vegetables down there, They don't. They don't have
- 13:23Speaker 1: learned in my cat's they have dairy free products down there,
- 13:29Speaker 1: vegetables on the grill. Can't you do that? Of course
- 13:31Speaker 1: you don't put on vegetables. You got a house of
- 13:34Speaker 1: links on that with only that's what you get you

- 13:57Speaker 1: cod slaw is the vegetable. Well, that's cat it. You
- 14:00Speaker 1: can hear it. M there's gonna be a lot of
- 14:03Speaker 1: that now that you actually hear what. I'm putting almond
- 14:11Speaker 1: milk in my coffee. That's all I can get. What
- 14:14Speaker 1: if I were what you're drinking, maybe you could drink
- 14:16Speaker 1: some like V eight or you know, some fresh questions.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I am just drinking water and I don't know. I
- 14:24Speaker 1: don't drink any diet soda ever. Again Campbell, Well, listen, guys,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Campbells coming up next. We're gonna talk about Dennis Rodman. Uh,
- 14:36Speaker 1: inside of something funny that's coming up in thirty two
- 14:40Speaker 1: after the hour. Wait till you hear that you're listening
- 14:44Speaker 1: to all right, it is time for something funny now.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Dennis Rodman, of course, has had a personal relationship with
- 14:53Speaker 1: North Korean President Kim Jong Oon, and he showed up
- 14:57Speaker 1: in Singapore for the US and North Korea summit. Uh.
- 15:00Speaker 1: We still can't get over Dennis Robin being so emotional
- 15:03Speaker 1: during his interview with Chris Chris Cuomo on a CNN
- 15:07Speaker 1: and saying that President Obama wouldn't give him the time
- 15:10Speaker 1: of day. Take a listen. And I tried to do
- 15:13Speaker 1: that to Obama and Obama didn't even give me the
- 15:16Speaker 1: time of day. I asked him, I said, I have
- 15:19Speaker 1: something to say from North Korea. He just brushed me off.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But that didn't deterred me. I still kept going back.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I kept going back. I kept going back. I showed
- 15:29Speaker 1: my Lord m my trustworthy to this country. And I
- 15:32Speaker 1: said to everybody, I said, the door will open. I
- 15:36Speaker 1: remember you saying, I remember you saying, let me ask
- 15:38Speaker 1: you something. Standing English always, but if it's amazing, he says,
- 15:42Speaker 1: it's amazing, it's amazing. When I said those things, when
- 15:47Speaker 1: I said those stampings. When I went back home, I
- 15:51Speaker 1: got so many filth thrists, I got so many thriasts.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I was sitting up protecting everything, and I believe the
- 15:58Speaker 1: dark career. And when I went at home, I can't
- 16:01Speaker 1: go home. I couldn't be going home to hide out
- 16:05Speaker 1: for thirty days. I couldn't even go home. But I
- 16:09Speaker 1: kept my head. I'm hide brother. I knew thing was
- 16:12Speaker 1: going to change. I knew it. I was the only one.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I never had no one to hear me. I didn't
- 16:16Speaker 1: know one had to see me. But I took those bullets.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I took all that. I took everything everyone came at me,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and I'm still standing and took day is a great
- 16:25Speaker 1: day for everybody to see before Tokyo, China everything. It's
- 16:29Speaker 1: a great day. It is a great historic so happy. Wow.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I just want to say that, dinners, while that's the
- 16:38Speaker 1: same damn thing I felt about the Miss Universe right.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You couldn't go home though. I was crying with dinner. Man,
- 16:55Speaker 1: you hear me, I was crying with dinner. You had
- 16:57Speaker 1: to hide out for thirty days, and every I didn't
- 17:00Speaker 1: saying when he said, wow, well can I take go
- 17:11Speaker 1: ahead y'all, I want to hear y'all's complish No. I mean,
- 17:14Speaker 1: he's just such an emotional guy and he does want
- 17:17Speaker 1: to take credit, and maybe we should give him a
- 17:19Speaker 1: little credit for um, you know, our relationship with North
- 17:23Speaker 1: Korea right now, because he is friends with them, I
- 17:25Speaker 1: think he actually accomplished. You know, I'm gonna tell you
- 17:28Speaker 1: two things has happened this week. I really do think
- 17:31Speaker 1: Dennis Robin hasn't had a role in this. I really
- 17:35Speaker 1: really do. And I also think credit should be given
- 17:38Speaker 1: to Kim Kardashian for her visit to Trump and getting
- 17:42Speaker 1: that woman released. I think that those two things happen.
- 17:46Speaker 1: And feel how you want to feel about the people. See,
- 17:49Speaker 1: sometimes you shoot the messenger and you lose sight of
- 17:53Speaker 1: the messaging. You know, Dennis Robins and and and uh
- 17:57Speaker 1: an emotional guy very much all the time. Still, Steve, Steve,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I need you. I need you to talk to Obama,
- 18:08Speaker 1: tell him my dear good what I'm the one put
- 18:13Speaker 1: him together. Steve. Yeah, I'm so happy raining I never
- 18:19Speaker 1: right now dinner, You're gonna take some of the rings
- 18:21Speaker 1: about you, man, I said the same thing. You're gonna
- 18:24Speaker 1: be talking if you need folks, You're gonna take some
- 18:27Speaker 1: of these hooks out. You distraction. I don't know what
- 18:32Speaker 1: if you talk about my chip stick all the time,
- 18:34Speaker 1: st quite do that. I took all them to steal
- 18:38Speaker 1: with too. Obama didn't give you the time, you see,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you know, justsin defense on Obama? What oh that everybody
- 18:49Speaker 1: thought she was crazy? No, no, but I changed that.
- 18:57Speaker 1: The reason why this meeting came together, on the reason
- 18:59Speaker 1: why they had, oh something, the reason nobody want to
- 19:02Speaker 1: give me my credits due well, and I don't give
- 19:05Speaker 1: a rat to hand. Put them together. Put them together. Yes,
- 19:16Speaker 1: his favorite Dennis Robin line Steve patting him on the
- 19:22Speaker 1: back right now. But I think those some things. I
- 19:24Speaker 1: think what Kim Kardashian did was really really a huge accomplishment. Man.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Nobody was getting that woman out. She used her celebrity
- 19:36Speaker 1: in the right way. That was a huge accomplish. You
- 19:38Speaker 1: know what the New York Post put the rump meets
- 19:40Speaker 1: to Trump and all the headlines and all like that. Well,
- 19:44Speaker 1: you know, when y'all get through with all of that,
- 19:46Speaker 1: she went up there, man, as something happened positive And
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something else, Trump being over here
- 19:53Speaker 1: as big as something nobody else has been managed to
- 19:55Speaker 1: put off. They're gonna have to get a dude from
- 19:56Speaker 1: credit on this one right here. But they don't want
- 19:59Speaker 1: to though, who seeing the end, don't want to. They
- 20:03Speaker 1: don't want him to get no credit for this. Hell,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I think I don't know if it's that necessarily that's
- 20:10Speaker 1: how you see it. I just think that, um, you
- 20:13Speaker 1: know what he stands for, Yeah, because a dictator and
- 20:18Speaker 1: all that, and I understand all of that. I got
- 20:22Speaker 1: all it, and they got sanctions on I got all
- 20:24Speaker 1: of that. And how are you really going to be
- 20:26Speaker 1: able to tell if they denuked the place? I mean,
- 20:29Speaker 1: how you're gonna take a dictator's call the whole country
- 20:33Speaker 1: and figure that out? Okay, So what y'all want to do?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Just just just leave him standing over there and let

- 30:16Speaker 1: Coming up entertainment news, Jada Pinkett Smith says her grandmother
- 30:19Speaker 1: taught her to pleasure herself at the age of nine,
- 30:23Speaker 1: and the duchess Folk Freckle Desire is on the rise.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 30:33Speaker 1: in twenty minutes, a special Happy Birthday message to the
- 30:36Speaker 1: President from Kim Jong Un. But first, Jada Pinkett Smith
- 30:42Speaker 1: says her grandmother taught her self pleasuring at the age
- 30:46Speaker 1: of nine. What this is just need She talked about
- 30:52Speaker 1: this on her her podcast, Red Table Talk. It continues
- 30:57Speaker 1: to pull in the fans in the latest step is
- 31:00Speaker 1: so she sits at the table with her regular co host,
- 31:03Speaker 1: her mom, Adrian Vanfield, and her daughter, of course, Willow.
- 31:07Speaker 1: This time, Willow's best friend joined them from For the
- 31:10Speaker 1: topic of sex, Jada's mom admitted her early experiences with
- 31:14Speaker 1: sex were negative. Jada, on the other hand, came into
- 31:18Speaker 1: her sexuality differently. Uh, Jada said, Um, my grandmother taught
- 31:23Speaker 1: me about self pleasuring because she wanted me to know
- 31:26Speaker 1: that the pleasure was from me. Uh That she didn't
- 31:30Speaker 1: want me to fall into the hands of a man
- 31:32Speaker 1: and if he gave me pleasure, to think that that
- 31:34Speaker 1: was him. And she taught me at the age of nine. Ye,
- 31:43Speaker 1: any anybody Steve here reading the back of a seal
- 31:49Speaker 1: box to find out how to get the sugar Chris
- 31:52Speaker 1: honeycomb hide out stuff. But how do you say this
- 32:01Speaker 1: in front of your mom though? I mean, I know
- 32:04Speaker 1: they're really closer and your child, right, I know they're
- 32:07Speaker 1: really close, But I couldn't do I still couldn't do it.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I mean, I get that they're close, I got it,
- 32:13Speaker 1: but her mama's mama was yeah, but her I was
- 32:16Speaker 1: nine years old. I bought a hostess a chair with
- 32:19Speaker 1: an awesome cold. At one time, you couldn't tell me no, sugar,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I was sitting a hog heaven. You're pleasuring yourself, pleasure
- 32:28Speaker 1: in the hell out of myself. I'm gonna tell you another.
- 32:35Speaker 1: When I was nine years old, one of the biggest
- 32:37Speaker 1: pleasures I had sitting there with a bowl of seal,
- 32:40Speaker 1: watching you send me this Sam bunny, damn pleasure I
- 32:46Speaker 1: could stand. Yeah, sex was still kind of taboo. I'm
- 32:50Speaker 1: sadday night l was pregnant movie. Man. I actually thought
- 32:57Speaker 1: I had a shot at being white, and you saw
- 33:02Speaker 1: that that was your environment. That's yeah, I said, man,
- 33:05Speaker 1: I think when I get tall, I'm gonna be white
- 33:08Speaker 1: like he was kissing a girl on the tree on
- 33:11Speaker 1: the beach one time. Boy. What boy, That's when I
- 33:19Speaker 1: first discovered why I'm feeling thinking of self pleasuring. Why
- 33:27Speaker 1: my notebook he falls. I can't finish my whole Grandma,
- 33:37Speaker 1: that you don't know sex was too We couldn't even
- 33:41Speaker 1: know talk about it. It was really didn't know what
- 33:44Speaker 1: it was. Yeah, yeah, interesting, all right, you think you
- 33:49Speaker 1: know a person? Yeah, learn something everything. My mom had
- 33:55Speaker 1: a hymn book in her hand, scriptures sit your face,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I had. I remember one time I had touched yourself again,
- 34:04Speaker 1: red nail polish on this red nail polis. My grandmother
- 34:08Speaker 1: called me Jezebel. Yeah, that's Jezebel stuff right there. What
- 34:14Speaker 1: is you sitting over there? Touching you y'all? To bring
- 34:18Speaker 1: ode perfect? Oh? We just don't have time. And I
- 34:27Speaker 1: had to say it right right right, all right? Well,
- 34:34Speaker 1: miss Anne is here Steve with our national news. Please
- 34:37Speaker 1: introduce ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Shrump, Thank you, thank you,
- 34:41Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. And here it is. This is Andre
- 34:44Speaker 1: put the news. Let's get it going. A U. S.
- 34:46Speaker 1: District Court judge has ruled that A T and T
- 34:48Speaker 1: and Time Warner should be allowed to merge if they
- 34:51Speaker 1: want to, and that's despite objections from the Trump administration.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Yesterday's decision comes in one of the biggest antitrust trials
- 34:58Speaker 1: and years. It took twenty months. The Trump Justice Department
- 35:02Speaker 1: sued to try and block the planned eighty five billion
- 35:04Speaker 1: dollar merger, making the argument that it would hurt competition
- 35:07Speaker 1: and result in higher costs for consumers. However, A T
- 35:10Speaker 1: and T S lawyer Daniel Petrocelli says that the Trump
- 35:13Speaker 1: Justice Departments simply failed to meet its burden approof after
- 35:16Speaker 1: an intensive pre trial discovery process and after uh grueling
- 35:21Speaker 1: six week trial, the government could present no credible proof
- 35:25Speaker 1: in support of any of its theories. Yesterday's decision. They'll
- 35:28Speaker 1: expected to spark a wave of consolidations and a lot
- 35:31Speaker 1: of movement on Wall Street because of this decision. As
- 35:33Speaker 1: you would expect, Senate Republicans say they're cautiously optimistic cautiously
- 35:38Speaker 1: about last weekend's peace talks. President Trump and North Korean
- 35:42Speaker 1: leader Kim John unheld those over the weekend. Senate Majority
- 35:45Speaker 1: Leader Mitch McConnell is joining the growing number of his
- 35:47Speaker 1: colleagues who say that any deal reached with North Korea
- 35:50Speaker 1: has to be submitted to the Congress for approval. I
- 35:53Speaker 1: think it would be widespread interest in Congress for having
- 35:57Speaker 1: an involvement in those if the President can reach a
- 36:01Speaker 1: significant agreement with the North Koreans. I hope it takes
- 36:03Speaker 1: the form of a treaty. That's what the founders of
- 36:06Speaker 1: our country anticipated, and that's why it's under constitution. Treaties
- 36:10Speaker 1: require support from two thirds of the Senate for ratification.
- 36:13Speaker 1: The Obama era net neutrality rules, designed to ensure equal
- 36:17Speaker 1: access to the Internet expired this week day before yesterday. Actually,
- 36:20Speaker 1: the FCC repealed them last year. The Senate voter to
- 36:23Speaker 1: reverse the decision, but the House of Representatives refused to
- 36:27Speaker 1: act on it. Officially, with the Louisiana Department hell say
- 36:30Speaker 1: they may have to eliminate for Medicaid enrollment programs because
- 36:33Speaker 1: of the state budget cuts down their authorities, say, for instance,
- 36:36Speaker 1: that nursing home page payments could end for thousands of
- 36:38Speaker 1: the states elderly Letters are being mailed to some thirty
- 36:41Speaker 1: seven thousand Medicaid recipients informing them that their care programs
- 36:45Speaker 1: could end on July one. That cuts the result of
- 36:48Speaker 1: a six d fifty million dollar budget shortfall, basing the
- 36:51Speaker 1: Pelican state for the next fiscal year unless the state
- 36:54Speaker 1: legislature agrees to raise and revenue. By the way, President
- 36:57Speaker 1: Trump may have heard this. After partnering America's first black
- 37:00Speaker 1: boxing champ, Jack Johnson, now says he's thinking about partnering
- 37:03Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali. Problem is the greatest doesn't need partnering. Ali
- 37:06Speaker 1: declared himself a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. He
- 37:10Speaker 1: was stripped of his heavyweight title convicted of draft dodging,
- 37:12Speaker 1: but he appealed, avoided jail, and Supreme Court overturned his conviction.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Today is National Love Conquers All Days. Yeah Black with
- 37:21Speaker 1: more entertainment and today's trending topics training us after the
- 37:24Speaker 1: hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:27Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. President Trump and North Korean President
- 37:32Speaker 1: Kim Jong oon signed a historic document. Through his interpreter,
- 37:36Speaker 1: Kim vowed, we're about to leave the path behind the
- 37:40Speaker 1: world will see a major change. I'd like to express
- 37:43Speaker 1: my gratitude to Mr Trump to make this happen. Generally speaking,
- 37:47Speaker 1: the man pledged to improve relations and work toward complete
- 37:51Speaker 1: de nuclearization of the Korean peninsula. This is a big
- 37:56Speaker 1: news for the president right before his seventy second birthday
- 37:59Speaker 1: tomorrow on in fourteen, and that Steve, you talked to
- 38:02Speaker 1: Kim Jong un about the president's birthday. Take a listen.
- 38:06Speaker 1: We have here Kim Jong to wish the president of

- 39:59Speaker 1: You have profoundity because it's a bad ye. Have them

- 55:42Speaker 1: type for you. Here it is the Strawberry Letter. All right,
- 55:46Speaker 1: here we go. Subject. My husband's girlfriend has got to go.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. All right, you said your wife didn't
- 55:54Speaker 1: write a letter or Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm twenty seven
- 56:03Speaker 1: years old and my husband and I have been legally
- 56:05Speaker 1: separated for three years. I recently filed for divorce, and
- 56:09Speaker 1: I cannot believe that he is not contesting it. I
- 56:13Speaker 1: just knew it would make him come to his senses
- 56:15Speaker 1: and come back home to me and the children. I
- 56:17Speaker 1: will admit that I've done some things in my marriage
- 56:20Speaker 1: that many people will say is evil, but I was
- 56:23Speaker 1: just doing me. I had another man's name tattooed on
- 56:27Speaker 1: my chest shortly after we got married. I had several affairs,
- 56:31Speaker 1: and I'm not certain that our youngest daughter is my
- 56:33Speaker 1: husband's child. I also lied to the courts and said
- 56:37Speaker 1: that my husband has not been active in our children's lives.
- 56:40Speaker 1: He's done a lot of dirt too, but we were
- 56:42Speaker 1: both young and played a lot of games. But now
- 56:45Speaker 1: I'm feeling bad. He has moved on, and he told
- 56:48Speaker 1: me that he's really happy now in his relationship. I
- 56:52Speaker 1: see something in him that I have never seen before.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I want him back, but first I need to be
- 56:58Speaker 1: sure that he wants me to. I have a new man,
- 57:01Speaker 1: and I don't want to break up with him unless
- 57:03Speaker 1: I'm sure my husband and I will get back together.
- 57:06Speaker 1: I got my husband misses me but can't admit it.
- 57:09Speaker 1: His new girlfriend is the problem. She is the reason
- 57:12Speaker 1: we can't work things out. I want back what's rightfully mine,
- 57:16Speaker 1: So how can I convince him to leave this woman.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I don't see any reason for your husband to come
- 57:23Speaker 1: back to you. The things you've done, Come on, now,
- 57:26Speaker 1: you had another man's name tattooed on your chest after
- 57:30Speaker 1: you got after you got married. You don't know if
- 57:33Speaker 1: your third child is really your husband's. You've had several affairs,
- 57:37Speaker 1: You've done some stuff in this marriage. Uh, and you
- 57:40Speaker 1: guys have been separated for three years. Uh. I mean
- 57:44Speaker 1: these things are evil as you as you put it.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I mean, you said he did a lot of dirt too.
- 57:49Speaker 1: You didn't you didn't specify what he did, but you
- 57:52Speaker 1: said you were both young and played a lot of games.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You're feeling badly now? Why because he has moved on
- 57:57Speaker 1: with his life with another woman and he seems to
- 57:59Speaker 1: be happy and he not looking back at you. Is
- 58:02Speaker 1: that what it is? Because you have a man right now,
- 58:06Speaker 1: You have a man you haven't said anything about. You
- 58:08Speaker 1: love your husband and you want to get back to
- 58:10Speaker 1: with him because you love him. You want to get
- 58:12Speaker 1: back with him because he's with another woman and you
- 58:15Speaker 1: feel bad about that. So I just you know, I
- 58:18Speaker 1: don't see this working out. I think you should let
- 58:20Speaker 1: your husband go on and be happy, and you try
- 58:23Speaker 1: to be happy with this situation, although I don't know
- 58:25Speaker 1: you can if you can, because you play games. You
- 58:28Speaker 1: play too many games. Divorce is nothing to play with.
- 58:32Speaker 1: You file divorce just because you thought it would make
- 58:34Speaker 1: your husband come back to you. Wrong. Uh, you need help,
- 58:38Speaker 1: That's what I can say to you. You need help.
- 58:40Speaker 1: And how can you convince your husband to leave this woman?
- 58:43Speaker 1: I don't think you can, Steve. Yeah, no, this is
- 58:47Speaker 1: absolutely crazy. Yeah, this don't make no damn sense at all.
- 58:55Speaker 1: What's wrong with both of y'all? But your trip? You know,
- 59:02Speaker 1: first of all, we've been legally separated for three years.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He gone, don't nobody come back after three years, three months,
- 59:14Speaker 1: three weeks, three days, three pay perds. People show up
- 59:20Speaker 1: in them three they show up within that. Ain't nobody
- 59:27Speaker 1: gone for three years and come back? He gone. I
- 59:31Speaker 1: would admit I've done some things that my marriage that
- 59:33Speaker 1: many people would say is evil, but I was just
- 59:36Speaker 1: doing me. So if what you were doing was called
- 59:40Speaker 1: evil by some people, but you was just doing me,
- 59:44Speaker 1: then me must be evil. So let's think. Let's look
- 59:48Speaker 1: at what you did. I had another man's name tattooed
- 59:52Speaker 1: on my chest shortly after we got married. Your man
- 59:58Speaker 1: is gone. I've had several of fans. I'm not certain
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: that our youngest daughter is my husband's child. Lady, Now
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you don't put another man's name on your chest. You
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: don't have several fairs. Now you can't tell his man
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: you don't think that's his baby. He's coming back to
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you for what. Then you lie to the courts and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: said the court that the husband ain't been active in
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: the child's line. Then she tries to double back and
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: go when he done a lot of dirt too, but
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: she never listened what he did. So what you did
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: top tiers, I'm pretty sure. But now you're feeling bad.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: So he had moved on, told me he really happy
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: with his new relationship. Yeah, because it's a real one.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: I see something in him that I've never seen before.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: What you seeing them now is peace, joy and happiness.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: And you know why you ain't never seen them him?
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: He never gave me reach. You tattooed the man's name.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: That's so terrible, that's so awful. That's like the ultimate
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: You just you trifling. You're not evil. You trifling. You're
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: having a fans. You got a baby. You don't know
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: whose it is, you ain't but you don't even show
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: his his what's the difference to what between evil and trifling?
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: You think evil is a person that do wrong. Trifling
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: people take wrong one step further. See evil people. Trifling
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: is to put your another man's name on your chest
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: after you've been married to this dude for a little
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: while after what after? That's evil? But you took evil
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to another level. So that's what I'm just trifling is
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: when you can take evil to another level. Okay, all right,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: that's so crazy. That's that's the craziest thing. She did
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the firs then she don't even know if her kid
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: is her husband's Yeah, all right, we'll come back to
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: deal with more of this evil and trifling letter. Uh
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: my husband's girlfriend has got to go is the subject. No,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: You've got to go? Okay. Uh We'll have part two
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: hour you're listening to the Steve coming to Own from

- 1:02:57Speaker 1: nine Central on Own. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: get it with it, Part two of today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Your response to, Uh, my husband's girlfriend has got to go?
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: That's the subject. Twenty seven year old milk woman been
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: legally separated from her man for three years? Can I
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: tell you he in coming back? You filed for divorce?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Thought that would make him come to his sensus. He
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: didn't contest him. You know why I ain't contested because
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you said, Mitch, you've done some things in your man
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: that people will say as evil. But I was just
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: doing me this whole I did. I had another man's
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: tattooed name tattooed on my chest. Try after we got mad.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: I had several of fans, and I didn't say, no
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: youngest daughters my husband's child. Okay, you evil for tattoo
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: in the man's name on his chest. Okay, you're evil
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: for saying you're gonna get him another man. I put
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: somebody else's name on my chest. That's evil. Trifling is
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: when you do it. Trifling is when you do it
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you are I see somebody you ain't the only man
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: know how to make me feel good. I could go
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: find me somebody. That's evil to say that to your man.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Trifling is you go out and find some people. Trifling
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: is now you'ven been with so many men you don't
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: even know if it's your husband. Okay, this is wrong.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Now I've seen something in him. She sent the feelings.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: She want him back. He's moved on. Told me he's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: really happy now. In this new relationship, and the end
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: of the lady says, I see something I've never seen
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: before that would be peace, joint happiness. I want him back,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: but first I need to be sure that he wants
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: me too. Literally, I can clearly listen to me. He
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: do not want you back. He has nothing to want
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: to go back to. This is a rap I have.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Then right after that, I have a new man, and
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I don't want to break up with him unless I'm
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: sure my husband and I will get back together. You
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: better hold on to this man. And I don't know
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: whose name that is. He looking at it any day
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: on your chest, maybe as he is. I don't want so.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I'm not in the relationship with a woman that's got
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: somebody named on her chest every time I look at you.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I gotta see this minute. But after though, after after
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: they got married, she put she put a man name
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: on her chess. Wise, you man, I'm just doing me now.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I got to look at my wife with another man
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: name or man who's putting up with this. I just
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: don't see any reason for him to come back. What
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: she is trifled, she's done, She's done. Okay, I bet
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: my it was you go come on, I got a
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: new man. I don't want to break up with him
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: unless I'm sure my husband and now I will get
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: back together. I bet my husband missing me. Oh yes,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I missed that name across your ship. I miss you
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: going out sleeping with all the men wondering. I miss
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I miss wondering who baby is? Yeah, oh god, I
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: miss you so much for real. I bet my husband
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: missing me. But he can't admit it. Hell no, he
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: can't because he ain't stupid. But she only sees the
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: new girlfriend as the problem. His new girlfriend is the problem.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Oh this half far Oh, your new man ain't the problem.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: She's the reason we can't work things out, She said, Steve,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I won't back was rightfully mine all How could I
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: convince him to lead this woman? Give it up? Let
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: it go, lady. You can go ahead on with you.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: You ain't even got to worry about this. This is
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a rap. The best thing he did was getting away
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: from you. M h Who is this new man that
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: loving you with this other dude? Name on? But she's
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: gonna dump him if she can get her husband back
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: then Yeah, but but what what name is on that chip?
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Just give me here's the name. I know you were rod,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: but no, she's only Oh yeah, she got read, she
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: got a Spanish name. Yeah, she got the new name

- 1:17:14Speaker 1: started something on this show last break, last break. Uh.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: We tried to stump Steve with some Earth Wind and
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Fire songs. Um because our social media followers they wrote
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: in and told us about their favorite They posted about
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: their favorite earth Wind and Fire songs, so we tried

- 1:17:33Speaker 1: them all. He got them all. So he challenged us
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: to come up with any old school group, any old

- 1:17:42Speaker 1: you have. We're gonna play a snippet of a song, anything,

- 1:18:28Speaker 1: You should let Tommy guess this one. Yeah, I doubt,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: he says, is not a whole draw. But we're gonna
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: play it though. Music from the house right there, Get
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: any kind of musica all times of playing. Just as
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: lord boy to shoot shoot one day, child, I don't
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: have to listen to your own life. On that day,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I'll be able to make up my own mind. Yes,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I will so steve for the young people that listen
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: to our show, tell them what these songs mean to you?
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: What mean? They don't even know. I can't even It's
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: heart Shirley damn, just in words I feel about what
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I feel about what I feel. You don't understand. If
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I tried to tell, they wouldn't understand. We just asked,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: because you know, I don't know if people feel, if
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: young people feel the passion, they cannot feel for their
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: music the way I feel for mine, because the lyrical
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: content is not the same. The preparation for making a
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: song ain't the say so, how can you possibly feel
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: what I feel? Well? Can I assist you this? Because
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you you keep talking about referencing the lyrics, but while
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: we're playing this game, we're not even getting to the lyrics.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: We're just getting to the mute to the note of
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: the snippet, and you know it right away. So that's
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: important to not just the lyrics, but how the all
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: of it came together, melody, all that they cared about,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: the fermentation. We go up the song. The song was
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: set up with the intro free started with Diamond on
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: the drum. One day child, how many Dog. They wrote
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: free in forty five minutes in sugar for his house.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: There was a story behind this. Sugarfoot came home. He
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: was do in love with this girl. He could never
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: find that. She would never round you know, with no
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: cell phones back then, she never asked her phone. He
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: came home, Man, one o'clock in the morning, she wouldn't
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: know where to be found. He called right, anybody know
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: where she was cool. He woke up about four o'clock
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: in the morning because he couldn't sleep, and he just said, man,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I want to be free, he said. And then one day, child,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: I won't have to listen to your lives. I don't
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: need your loving no more. He called Diamond and the
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: whole group over to the house. They walked into the studio.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: They wrote free in forty five minutes. He told me

- 1:24:02Speaker 1: What who stole a car? Right after this you're listening
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, a junkie with
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: a monkey steals a car. That is the headline. Florida
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: cops chased and busted Cody James Hessian with He was
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: busted in the wee hours of Sunday morning after leading
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: cops on a chase that that lasted more than thirty
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: miles and didn't end until he drove the car into
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: the ditch. You guys talk about that a lot where
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: they found him behind the wheel with a frightened monkey
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: clinging to his chest. What do monkey was scared? You'll
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: see him cap carrector mans code code, turn yourself in.

- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I ain't making you. Never smoke all this dope. Get
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: you some bananity. If you're being now, you ain't bought
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: a bananalysis. I stayed with you, sitting up in heating
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: cheerios and from lu Jo, Cody and Monk. We gotta go.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Rby Morning Show right
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steven Show. U Jada
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Pinkett Smith says her grandmother taught her self pleasuring at
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: the age of nine. Ye what this is, just need
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: to keep to you. She talked about this on her
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: her podcast, Red Table Talk. It continues to pull in
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: the fans. In the latest episode, she sits at the
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: table with her regular co host, her mom, Adrian Banfield,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: and her daughter, of course, Willow. This time, Willow's best
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: friend joined them from For the topic of sex. Jada's
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: mom admitted her early experiences with sex were negative. Jada,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: on the other hand, came into her sexuality differently. Uh.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Jada said, um, my grandmother taught me about self pleasuring
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: because she wanted me to know that the pleasure was
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: from me. Uh that she didn't want me to fall
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: into the hands of a man and if he gave
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: me pleasure to think that that was him. And she
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: taught me at the age of nine. Yeah, I am
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: sitting here with chocolate. Anybody, Steve, I'm over here reading
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: the back of a seal box turned to find out
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: how to get the sugar Chris honeycomb hide out man's
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: But how do you say this in front of your mom? Though?
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: I mean, I know they're really closer and your child, right,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: I know they're really close, But I couldn't do I
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: still couldn't do it. I mean, I get that they're close,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: I get it, but her mama's mama was a yeah,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: but I was nine years old. I bought a hostess
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: a chair with an awes cola. One time. You couldn't
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: tell me sugar. I was sitting a hog. You were
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: pleasuring yourself pleasure in the hell out of myself. I'm
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: gonna tell you another hell of When I was nine
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: years old. One of the biggest pleasures I had sitting
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: there with a bowl of still watching you send me
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: this sad bunny damn pleasure I could stand. Yeah, sex
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: was still kind of taboo. I'm Saturday Night, Elvis prevalent movie. Man,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: I actually thought I had a shot at being white. Yeah,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: that was your environment, that's yeah, I said, Man, I
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: think when I get tall, I'm gonna be white like el.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: He was kissing the girl on the tree on the
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: beach one time. Boy, what that's when I first discovered
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: he what hell going on? Why I'm feeling so kind
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: of self pleasuring? Why is my notebook? He fall? Okay?
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Finished my home. Grandma that no sex was too We
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: couldn't even know to talk about it. It was really
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: didn't know what it was. Yeah, yeah, interesting, all right?
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: You think you know a person? Yeah, learn something every day.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Mom had a human book in her hand. I know
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: who I had. I remember one time I had touched
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: yourself again, red nail polish on, just red nail polish.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: My grandmother called me Jezebel. Yeah, that's Jezebel stuff right there?
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: What is you sitting over? They're touching you, y'all to
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: bring oh day on end? Perfect? Oh, we just don't
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: have time. And I had to say it right right right,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: all right? Coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: You don't want to miss it. At fort nine, after
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: the hour you're listening to Steve Harvey Show. All right, guys,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day before we
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: go home for the day. Steve, you have some parting
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: closing remarks for us. Um. One of my callings in
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: life has been to change as many to have an effect.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: I can't say change to have an effect on as
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: many young boys lives as I can. That's my mission
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: in life. That's that's one of my callings. I really
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: believe it to be. And we start this process with
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: two fifty boys. Uh. Tomorrow they get in at three o'clock.
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: I'll be there and we start the process. Uh. I
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: want to think the United States Army up until this year,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: how they helped me. It was really a great help
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to all those soldiers who came every year. Sometimes I
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: saw the same soldiers every year, because the mentoring program
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: wasn't just for the boys. It was for a lot
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: of those men too, who got a chance to give
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: something back, who got a chance to share their experiences
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: with these young boys, who would explain to young boys
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: how I too didn't have a father, just like you,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: and I made it through and as difficult as it is,
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: we're here to help you. Make it through. We're gonna
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: give your phone numbers, emails, gonna text you, We're gonna
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: talk with you. We're gonna keep you on the straight
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: and narrow. We're gonna g and advise you. We're gonna
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: give your mail figure that you can talk to. I
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: think that they were just as important to this whole
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: thing as I am. So this year to replace the military,
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: a lot of my brothers from Omega Side Fire have
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: decided to come and join me. Ricky was Big Blue
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: co Quit and about fifty other bros from around the
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: country are coming in to help me. The military is
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: no longer a sponsor of the meeting program, and that's okay.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: We we still can mentor. They provided a great amount
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: of order and discipline for us. But we men, we
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: know what order and discipline is. We're just gonna do
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: it a different way. But no shade on the military,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: because they were great to us in the period that
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: we had. I really am appreciative to all of them.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Thank you all so much. But to the men that's
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: coming to help this year, thank you so much. But
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to those of you are out there, we're not involved
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: in this program. It don't mean that you can't be
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: a mentor. Every young boy is going to grow up
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: and become a man. What type of man they become
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: is dependent on what type of man they are on
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: as an example. So what happens to a lot of
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: young men is that the example of manhood around them
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: closest can be a bad example. They're gonna emulate one
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: of these men, good or bad, but they're gonna emulate
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: one of them because we have no other way to
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: get to manhood than by example. And to get through manhood,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: you gotta talk to another man. Your mom can't help
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: you get through manhood. Your wife can't help you get
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: through manhood. Your aunt and your grandmama can't help you
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: get through manhood. I'm sorry, they're not men. I've said
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: this before, and it draws a lot of ire from
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: a lot of well meaning women. And this is no
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: shade on you. It's no more than I can take
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: a young girl and teach you how to be a woman.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: How can I How could I possibly do that? When
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: I have no idea the intricate details of being a woman.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I can't even begin to tell them how it's done.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: So when I say that it requires a man to
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: turn a going to a man. It really does. But
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: if you are out here and you're not involved in
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: the program, you can grab somebody. You can get one
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: young man's attention. You can grab him and say, hey
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: my man, let me talk to you for a minute. Man,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: you know somebody see something me? Hey man, you know
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: some man you could be something and then put your
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: pants on. Man, let me talk to you. Young men
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: are cravy for some older man who is righteous to
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: just talk to him. Tell him you care, Tell him
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: they can come by and how let you sometime go
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: down to the park with him. Man, watch him shoot
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: jumpers anything, go to one of his football practices. Hey man,
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: I just came see what you did. Wow, you came
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: to see me. You know what I mean? Young man's
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: fathers never come to games. If you could just go
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: to two kids games on the team that ain't got fathers,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: Hey man, I came to to just check out you
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: a little t man. You would make a huge difference
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: in that boy's life. Then give him a number he
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: can call you. Man. When so we can ask you
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: some questions. You know this ain't bout of financial commitment.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: You got kids. I ain't asking you to do that.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: What I'm telling you is you can be meaningful and
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: impactful in the young man's life. And if we can
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: fix them, fix the boys and the young men in
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: this country, we save a lot of problems for the girls.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: It's just that we ain't giving women a whole lot
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: of good choices no more. So we gotta straighten out
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: the choices. We gotta straighten out the choices of this
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: younger generation so our daughters and granddaughters will have better selections.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: We all can have a role in this. I just
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: happened to be famous and contral a light and a
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: spotlight on a glaring problem. But there's no way I
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: could do this without the help of other men, the speakers,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: the people at the ranches, the motivators, all the soldiers,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: all the frat brothers, the alphas, the capitals, the Sigmas,
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: the olders, and everybody that come down and them don't
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: go on cues who show up year after year after
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: year without any complaint, just because they saw their brother
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: doing it. They said, man, were with you, and they've
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: been a great benefit. So all of you out there, man,
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: grab a young boy. You don't need no money, You
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: ain't gotta spend no money on it. Y'all get ice
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: cream and sit down somewhere. Just go watch him shooting hoops. Complimented,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: but get yourself active in some boy's life because man,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: they showed could use it. A boy without a role model,
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: it's like an explore without a map. It's so hard
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: to get the manhood without an example. And all you
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: men who are men, can be an example. Even if
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: you teach them what not to do, that's as good
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: as knowing what to do. Thank very much. Those are
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: my closing remarks. Y'all have a great weekend because I've
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: been having great thing I love. I love to go
