Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Hegseth on Signalgate "NO War Plans!" plus PBS & NPR Under Fire for Media Bias
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, if there's one scandal the media wants you to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go all in on, it is clearly that they believe
- 0:06Speaker 1: that Pete Headsets should no longer be in charge at
- 0:10Speaker 1: the DoD and that others should be fired because there
- 0:13Speaker 1: was a journalist that was inadvertently put on a text thread.
- 0:17Speaker 1: They're also changing the definition of what you know classified
- 0:21Speaker 1: information actually is.
- 0:23Speaker 2: They claimed it was war plans.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Now they're also changing yet again what that actually means. Now,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Pete Headgset has come out saying no units and no
- 0:32Speaker 1: locations were shared on the signal chat. Fighting back about
- 0:37Speaker 1: what is actually going on the media, he did say,
- 0:40Speaker 1: change the definition of the lead Signal Group chat to
- 0:43Speaker 1: quote unquote attack plans because they know it's not war
- 0:47Speaker 1: plans again, saying no units, no locations, no routes, no
- 0:52Speaker 1: flight pass, no sources, no methods, and no classified information. Now,
- 0:58Speaker 1: he got off a plane in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he
- 1:01Speaker 1: was visiting obviously the bases of military facilities there, and
- 1:05Speaker 1: here is what he'd had to say to the media.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Beautiful, Dave, when we're on the road talking to the
- 1:12Speaker 3: troops and actually in real time re establishing deterrence. You see,
- 1:17Speaker 3: that's what President Trump has charged the Defense Department with
- 1:20Speaker 3: doing reviving the warrior ethos, rebuilding the military, which we're
- 1:25Speaker 3: doing in real time, and re establishing deterrence. And that's
- 1:28Speaker 3: why we're heading out into the Indo Pacific to talk
- 1:31Speaker 3: to our allies and partners and meet with the troops
- 1:33Speaker 3: and anybody that knows me.
- 1:36Speaker 4: For years and knows President Trump knows how much we
- 1:38Speaker 4: love the warriors. That's what it's about the men and
- 1:41Speaker 4: women who serve, who.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Do the tough, difficult, gritty, dirty work that most Americans
- 1:48Speaker 5: will never know about. But we have the privilege of
- 1:50Speaker 5: seeing and understanding the courage and skill of what they do.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I'm going to go see that for the next couple
- 1:55Speaker 4: of days.
- 1:56Speaker 3: We also have seen it on full display and what's
- 1:59Speaker 3: been done to the who the terrorists and what they're
- 2:01Speaker 3: trying to do close freedom of navigation, So you see,
- 2:05Speaker 3: under the Biden administration, we let our troops and our
- 2:07Speaker 3: ships and both warships and commercial ships get shot at
- 2:11Speaker 3: to no consequence.
- 2:13Speaker 4: What does that look like. That looks like weakness.
- 2:16Speaker 3: And what President Trump has said is peace through strength
- 2:20Speaker 3: is back.
- 2:21Speaker 4: We will re establish deterrence.
- 2:23Speaker 3: That's not acceptable and our ongoing campaign against the Houthis
- 2:28Speaker 3: has been devastatingly effective. Now, as I said to this
- 2:32Speaker 3: group a couple of times on this trip, now, as
- 2:34Speaker 3: we moved to the Indo Pacific.
- 2:36Speaker 4: To do our job, which is what we're here to do,
- 2:39Speaker 4: nobody's texting war plans.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Well.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I noticed this morning out came something that doesn't look
- 2:46Speaker 4: like war plans. And as a matter of.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Fact, they even change the title to attack.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Plans because they know it's not war plans.
- 2:54Speaker 3: There's no units, no locations, no routes, no flight paths,
- 3:00Speaker 3: no sources, no methods, no classified information.
- 3:05Speaker 4: You know who sees war plans.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I see them every single day.
- 3:10Speaker 4: I looked at them this morning. I looked at attack
- 3:12Speaker 4: plans this morning. You know who does attack plans and
- 3:15Speaker 4: war plans. Men like that Admiral right there, Caparo for the.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Indo Pacific, or Eric Carilla, our general in Sentcom.
- 3:23Speaker 4: They do attack plans and war plans, and.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Thank god we have those leaders who do it and
- 3:29Speaker 3: do it well, and our enemies know it. My job,
- 3:33Speaker 3: as it's said at top of that, everybody's seen it now,
- 3:36Speaker 3: Team Update is to provide updates in real time general
- 3:41Speaker 3: updates in real time keep everybody informed.
- 3:44Speaker 4: That's what I did. That's my job.
- 3:47Speaker 3: The warfighters will take the fight to the enemy, and
- 3:50Speaker 3: I love what they do. And with President Trump's leadership,
- 3:53Speaker 3: our enemies are on notice. We will have peace through strength,
- 3:57Speaker 3: and we'll keep putting our troops first.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Thank you very much. We're heading off.
- 4:01Speaker 2: They so there it is.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You can hear him saying no units, no locations, no routes,
- 4:06Speaker 1: no flight pass, no sources, no methods, no classified information.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Never let a crisis go to waste, though, that's the
- 4:14Speaker 1: Democratic Party motto. And they're now saying, well, we don't
- 4:18Speaker 1: care what you actually say. We know for damn sure
- 4:20Speaker 1: this is classified information. Senator Mark Warner going on CNN
- 4:25Speaker 1: doing exactly that, trying to turn this into some sort
- 4:29Speaker 1: of quote signal gate where people's heads roll.
- 4:32Speaker 6: All right, Senator, let's turn back to what, of course,
- 4:36Speaker 6: I know you have been focused on over the last
- 4:38Speaker 6: forty eight hours since we learned about this group chat.
- 4:42Speaker 6: It's like more than forty eight hours now. You heard
- 4:45Speaker 6: what Trump administration officials have been saying across the board
- 4:49Speaker 6: that there was no classified information that was in this chat.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Are they lying to the American people?
- 4:57Speaker 7: I don't think they're telling the truth and it doesn't
- 4:59Speaker 7: pass the smell test. Let me give you the two
- 5:02Speaker 7: pieces of this that are so obvious.
- 5:05Speaker 8: The policy dispute.
- 5:07Speaker 7: Between the vice president and the president and the back
- 5:09Speaker 7: and forth. That's the kind of information that intelligence services
- 5:14Speaker 7: literally Russia or China would kill for having that kind
- 5:19Speaker 7: of exposure to private conversations. Second, but even more trying,
- 5:24Speaker 7: the idea that the specific plans of when an attack
- 5:30Speaker 7: was going to be launched against the Hooties and the
- 5:34Speaker 7: ramification to them.
- 5:36Speaker 8: There is no way.
- 5:37Speaker 7: In hell, but that's not classified information, and anybody who
- 5:41Speaker 7: denies that.
- 5:43Speaker 8: Is either ignorant or trying to obscate. And let me
- 5:48Speaker 8: just bring it home.
- 5:48Speaker 7: I mean, we've got the USS Truman is the aircraft
- 5:51Speaker 7: carrier that's deployed in that region. It deploys from Norfolk, Virginia.
- 5:56Speaker 7: We've had outreach from family members who say, my son
- 6:01Speaker 7: or daughter safe flying in that region. If that information
- 6:06Speaker 7: had been given to the Hooties and they could have
- 6:08Speaker 7: turned their defensive mechanisms they have shot down American planes
- 6:12Speaker 7: or drones in the past, you know, we could.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Have had a tragedy here.
- 6:18Speaker 7: The mission in terms of the bombing was successful, granted,
- 6:21Speaker 7: but the idea that we would put American soldiers in
- 6:24Speaker 7: harm's way because this crowd was so careless and so
- 6:28Speaker 7: sloppy that they didn't communicate this on a secure channel
- 6:34Speaker 7: is jaw dropping.
- 6:35Speaker 8: And again, let's be clear, this is not the first time.
- 6:38Speaker 7: Two weeks into this administration they inadvertently revealed the identities
- 6:42Speaker 7: of about two hundred new CIA agents. How many of
- 6:45Speaker 7: those agents going to be able to be posted a
- 6:47Speaker 7: broad We've seen them, the Doge boys post.
- 6:50Speaker 8: A series of properties they thought the government should sell. Well,
- 6:53Speaker 8: one of those happened to be a classified sites.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Almost daily there's information that leaks out either from ignorant
- 7:00Speaker 7: rants or malfeasons from.
- 7:02Speaker 8: Those guys that don't always.
- 7:03Speaker 7: Make the news but are about violating Americans privacy rights.
- 7:07Speaker 7: So this administration's careless, sloppy towards the classified and frankly,
- 7:14Speaker 7: Americans private information is ranking.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Competence there it is, So it's just total incompetence, it's ignorance,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's it is just something that no one can deny.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Now again, you go back to the reality.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm sure everybody agrees that it's not a good thing
- 7:30Speaker 1: to have a scumbag journalist on this text message threat,
- 7:35Speaker 1: but at the same time, was or classified information that
- 7:38Speaker 1: was shared. The answer is no, In fact, it was
- 7:40Speaker 1: real time information, which meant in essence that what you're
- 7:43Speaker 1: hearing about is going to be almost old news by
- 7:45Speaker 1: the time this journalist gets it, because it's like, hey,
- 7:48Speaker 1: here's where we are.
- 7:49Speaker 2: This is what we just did.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You look at the text messages again, which a scumbag
- 7:54Speaker 1: reporter has put out there for the world to see.
- 7:57Speaker 1: And I'm actually glad he did it, because after you
- 8:00Speaker 1: read it, you're actually like, that's it, Like, this is
- 8:04Speaker 1: where we are, and this is why, like you guys
- 8:08Speaker 1: are freaking out and losing your minds over this, We
- 8:12Speaker 1: understand it, but.
- 8:15Speaker 2: This is all there is to see here. And the
- 8:17Speaker 2: answer is yes.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Now, am I glad that this happened early on and
- 8:20Speaker 1: that hopefully it don't never happen again. Yes, but I
- 8:22Speaker 1: also know human beings do, in fact make mistakes. Are
- 8:25Speaker 1: you allowed to use signal this app with this type
- 8:29Speaker 1: of information? We also know from the CIA director that yes,
- 8:33Speaker 1: you are in fact allowed to use it. So here's
- 8:36Speaker 1: what I'll tell you. The Democrats are trying to get
- 8:40Speaker 1: something to stick right now. However they have to do it,
- 8:43Speaker 1: They're going to try to keep doing it.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer today he.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Was out there attacking Donald Trump and Elon Musk, saying
- 8:50Speaker 1: they're eroding the American dream. The Senate Dems on the
- 8:55Speaker 1: Trump administration trying to make real changes that will make
- 8:58Speaker 1: an impact for all Americans on the issue of security,
- 9:01Speaker 1: yet again lying about that, going out there and saying
- 9:04Speaker 1: that Donald Trump is eroding the American dream.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Here Schumer, in his own words.
- 9:08Speaker 9: Trump and Musk are just eroding the American dream. They're
- 9:15Speaker 9: rigging the system for billionaires while stealing from the elderly,
- 9:19Speaker 9: from the disabled to cut taxes for their billionaire club.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So there it is right. Everybody else is evil. We're
- 9:26Speaker 1: the brilliant ones. Even though we've lost Americans. They're not
- 9:29Speaker 1: paying attention to us. They don't think that we're making sense.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It doesn't really matter we everyone else is evil. So
- 9:35Speaker 1: they're going to keep doing this. This is part of
- 9:37Speaker 1: what you need to understand. They are going to keep
- 9:39Speaker 1: doing this over and over and over again, hoping that
- 9:42Speaker 1: something will actually stick.
- 9:44Speaker 2: That is the plan, all right.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I want to move now to another big issue, and
- 9:49Speaker 1: that is the real chance that PBS and NPR could
- 9:53Speaker 1: be defunded because of the just total corruption and extreme
- 9:59Speaker 1: bias from these two organizations, and it's costing you hundreds
- 10:03Speaker 1: of millions of dollars a year. Marjorie Taylor Green blasted PBS,
- 10:10Speaker 1: for example, for what they're putting to try to indoctrinate
- 10:13Speaker 1: your kids on public broadcasting. All right, so this is
- 10:17Speaker 1: your tax dollars going for this.
- 10:19Speaker 2: This was all during the.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Government Efficiency Subcommittee hearing at the Rayburn Office building where
- 10:26Speaker 1: now they're looking at PBS and NPR. This exchange between
- 10:30Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Green blasting PBS for their programming where it
- 10:35Speaker 1: features a drag queen on a kid's show. Let me
- 10:39Speaker 1: say that again, a drag queen they featured on a
- 10:43Speaker 1: kids show, clearly trying to indoctrinate kids with the LGBTQ
- 10:46Speaker 1: plus IA, A dot whatever the hell they want to
- 10:50Speaker 1: identify them, the he she whatever it is, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: pro programming. They want to get this in your kid's
- 10:56Speaker 1: minds at a very early age. I want you to
- 11:00Speaker 1: hear what she had to say in the back and forth.
- 11:03Speaker 10: PBS News is not just left leaning, but it is
- 11:07Speaker 10: actively uses taxpayer funds to push some of the most
- 11:12Speaker 10: radical left positions, like featuring a drag queen on the
- 11:17Speaker 10: show Let's Learn, a show targeted toward young children ages
- 11:23Speaker 10: three to eight years old. I want you to know
- 11:28Speaker 10: I grew up watching children's programming on PBS, and as
- 11:33Speaker 10: a mother who raised three children, I felt confident that
- 11:36Speaker 10: I could leave the room while my own children were
- 11:40Speaker 10: watching children's programming on PBS. But I can tell you
- 11:45Speaker 10: right now, Ms Kirger, specifically, as a mother, if I
- 11:51Speaker 10: had walked in my living room or one of my
- 11:54Speaker 10: children's bedrooms and seeing this child predator and this monster
- 12:00Speaker 10: targeting my children, I would become unglued. And that is
- 12:05Speaker 10: how most parents feel all over this country. This is
- 12:11Speaker 10: not the only example of them sexualizing and grooming children.
- 12:16Speaker 10: They've been doing it for over the last decade. In
- 12:19Speaker 10: twenty fifteen, PBS produce Frontline put out a documentary Growing
- 12:26Speaker 10: Up Trans that takes viewers on an intimate and eye
- 12:30Speaker 10: opening journey inside the struggles and choices facing transgender kids
- 12:35Speaker 10: and their families. This means that PBS is one of
- 12:39Speaker 10: the founders of the trans child abuse industry, all while
- 12:45Speaker 10: taking taxpayer money. Brainwashing and transing children is an issue
- 12:51Speaker 10: so hated by parents across the country that it was
- 12:54Speaker 10: a driving force in the landslide Republican and Trump victory
- 13:00Speaker 10: in the twenty twenty four election cycle and presidential race.
- 13:04Speaker 10: The news that these entities produced is either resented or
- 13:08Speaker 10: increasingly tuned out and turned off by most of the
- 13:12Speaker 10: hard working Americans who are forced to pay for it.
- 13:16Speaker 10: They no longer view NPR and PBS as trusted news sources.
- 13:23Speaker 10: As a matter of fact, with these people, they're a threat.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So let me just be clear about what Margley Taylor
- 13:29Speaker 1: Green is saying here. If you're in the private sector
- 13:31Speaker 1: and you're a broadcast company and you want to put
- 13:34Speaker 1: drag queens in infant and children programming, knock yourself out.
- 13:38Speaker 2: That's your right. You can do that.
- 13:40Speaker 1: My tax hours shouldn't go to that at PBS. And
- 13:44Speaker 1: PBS again, is not the only place that isn't insanely
- 13:48Speaker 1: biased in being run by the radical left. I'll give
- 13:51Speaker 1: you another example of where your tax hours are going.
- 13:55Speaker 2: MPR.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That's a taxpayer funded arm of the Democratic National Committee.
- 14:00Speaker 1: That's what they are at state sponsored media. You want
- 14:03Speaker 1: to know how biased they are, well, one Republican Congressman
- 14:08Speaker 1: exposed it all while talking to the CEO, the president
- 14:12Speaker 1: of MPR, and I want you to listen to what
- 14:14Speaker 1: he said to her face.
- 14:16Speaker 11: The former senior business editor friend PR, how long you
- 14:18Speaker 11: work at MPR. I believe he was there just over
- 14:21Speaker 11: twenty five years?
- 14:22Speaker 12: Twenty five years award winning journalists? Do you win any awards?
- 14:26Speaker 12: Are time to anybody?
- 14:27Speaker 10: Award?
- 14:27Speaker 13: That's pretty important, isn't it? That is a pretty distinguished
- 14:30Speaker 13: journalist right certainly? And I wrote, he wrote a long
- 14:33Speaker 13: story about what you do at MPR is MPR.
- 14:36Speaker 12: Biased, Congressman.
- 14:39Speaker 11: I have never seen any instance of never of pro
- 14:42Speaker 11: political bias determining editorial decisions.
- 14:44Speaker 13: Now, well, mister Berliner in his story A couple last
- 14:51Speaker 13: year wrote, I've in the DC area editorial positions at MPR.
- 14:57Speaker 13: He said he found eighty seven registered Democrats, zero Republicans.
- 15:02Speaker 12: Is that accurate?
- 15:04Speaker 11: We do not track the numbers or the voter registration,
- 15:06Speaker 11: but I find that was.
- 15:07Speaker 13: Award winning journalists who worked twenty five years at MPR.
- 15:11Speaker 13: Mister Berlinner was he lying when he wrote that?
- 15:13Speaker 11: I am not presuming such. I just don't have We
- 15:16Speaker 11: don't track that information about our journalist eighty seven to zero,
- 15:20Speaker 11: and you're not biased. I think that is concerning. If
- 15:22Speaker 11: those numbers are accurate, it's concerned.
- 15:24Speaker 13: I mean, it wasn't forty four, forty three, wasn't sixty
- 15:28Speaker 13: twenty seven, It wasn't seventy seventeen, It wasn't even eighty
- 15:32Speaker 13: to seven. It was eighty seven Democrats zero Republicans. And
- 15:36Speaker 13: you say MPR is not biased. How about the big
- 15:41Speaker 13: stories over the last few years. According to mister Berlinner again,
- 15:44Speaker 13: he wrote on the Trump Russia story, he wrote, at MPR,
- 15:49Speaker 13: we hitched our wagon to Trump's most visible antagonists, representative
- 15:54Speaker 13: Adam Shipp. They said the interviewing twenty five times that accurate.
- 15:57Speaker 12: I was not there at the time, but those numbers
- 15:59Speaker 12: sound accurate. Those sound accurate.
- 16:01Speaker 13: But then he said, when the Muller report came out,
- 16:03Speaker 13: and they said Mueller said, Robert Muller said he found
- 16:05Speaker 13: no evidence of collusion. He said, Russia Gate faded from
- 16:09Speaker 13: our programming.
- 16:10Speaker 12: Is that accurate? Again, I was not there at the time.
- 16:12Speaker 12: I couldn't say. You couldn't say I was not at
- 16:16Speaker 12: unpeer at the time. You didn't prepare for that.
- 16:17Speaker 13: You knew we were going to ask you about this
- 16:18Speaker 13: guy didn't you. It's come up like six thousand times
- 16:21Speaker 13: already into hearing.
- 16:22Speaker 12: I just wouldn't say whether it faded from our coverage.
- 16:25Speaker 12: How about this story.
- 16:26Speaker 13: October twenty twenty, New York Post had the Hunter Biden
- 16:29Speaker 13: laptop story, and one of those editors, I guess one
- 16:33Speaker 13: of those eighty seven Democrat editors said this, we don't
- 16:37Speaker 13: want to waste our time on stories that are not
- 16:39Speaker 13: really stories. We don't want to waste the listeners and readers'
- 16:41Speaker 13: times on stories that are just pure distractions. With that
- 16:44Speaker 13: a pure distraction story.
- 16:46Speaker 11: Our current editorial leadership believes that that was a mistake,
- 16:50Speaker 11: as do I.
- 16:50Speaker 12: Yeah, the whole country knows that was a mistake.
- 16:53Speaker 13: Definitely impacted the election, or I think it certainly impacted
- 16:56Speaker 13: the election.
- 16:56Speaker 12: How about the COVID origin story.
- 16:58Speaker 13: That's pretty big story too, right, mister Berliner said, we
- 17:01Speaker 13: became fervent members of the team natural Origin, even declaring
- 17:05Speaker 13: that the lab leak was debunked by scientists. Turns out,
- 17:08Speaker 13: though the lab leak is what most people think actually
- 17:11Speaker 13: caused the COVID virus.
- 17:13Speaker 12: Sorry, sorry, sorry question there there is.
- 17:15Speaker 13: You guys were zero for three on the three the
- 17:18Speaker 13: three of the biggest stories in the last five years,
- 17:20Speaker 13: you guys were zero for three, and yet you maintain
- 17:23Speaker 13: that MPR.
- 17:23Speaker 12: Is not biased.
- 17:24Speaker 11: Congressman, I do not believe we are politically biased. To know,
- 17:27Speaker 11: we are a non partisan organization.
- 17:29Speaker 13: Non partisan organization, nonpartisan organization.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Let's just go back to the numbers there.
- 17:35Speaker 1: MPR has eighty seven editoral positions, all of them filled
- 17:40Speaker 1: by registered Democrats in DC, so not even independents like
- 17:43Speaker 1: you can't even get in these editoral positions as an independent,
- 17:47Speaker 1: as a like I'm not registered as a Republican or
- 17:50Speaker 1: a Dimocrat because by the way, I'd be.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Fine with some of those. Nope, can't have any of those.
- 17:54Speaker 1: So you got any seven editorial positions, None of them
- 17:58Speaker 1: go to independence, none of them go to register Republicans.
- 18:01Speaker 2: You guys are out for three on the big stories.
- 18:04Speaker 1: You clearly were pushing out them shift left and right
- 18:06Speaker 1: in Russia, Russia, Russia. You clearly are taxpayer funded arm of.
- 18:11Speaker 2: The Democratic National Committee. Everybody knows it.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And this lady who's in charge like, oh no, no,
- 18:17Speaker 1: we're not, we're not by we are we are just
- 18:20Speaker 1: we are not biased at all. We don't do bias.
- 18:23Speaker 1: We are not biased. There's nothing bias about us. We're
- 18:25Speaker 1: just we are just totally normal. We are a completely
- 18:30Speaker 1: non biased organization. We are a non political organization.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? Are you? Are you kidding me?
- 18:37Speaker 1: This is what they're doing now, and I hope that
- 18:40Speaker 1: they will defund gosh, I hope they will defund the
- 18:43Speaker 1: MPR n pvious.
- 18:44Speaker 2: By the way, they can both.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Make it, I think on their own, and if they can't,
- 18:48Speaker 1: then they probably shouldn't be in business. And just be
- 18:51Speaker 1: honest about who you are. Hey, no Republicans allowed. We
- 18:53Speaker 1: got eighty seven editorial people that are democrats. Is a
- 18:56Speaker 1: democratic communist organization. Come on in and if you're gonna
- 18:59Speaker 1: be that, then be intellectually honest about it. But don't
- 19:02Speaker 1: take my damn tax hours to push your state sponsored media.
- 19:08Speaker 1: There was one thing a moment ago that I played
- 19:09Speaker 1: for you, and I want to go back to it
- 19:11Speaker 1: because it was you heard it there and Jim Jordan's
- 19:15Speaker 1: questioning he mentioned NPR branding the hunter Byden laptop story
- 19:19Speaker 1: is a waste of time. I want to go to
- 19:22Speaker 1: Representative Fallen and I watched this hearing so that you guys,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I know many of you didn't, but I wanted to
- 19:27Speaker 1: pull these highlights in there, and I want you to
- 19:29Speaker 1: hear the back and forth on this issue. Specifically, this
- 19:32Speaker 1: is Representative Fallen questioning the NPR CEO, and listen to
- 19:37Speaker 1: how quickly she stops basically answering the questions with everything,
- 19:41Speaker 1: like with facts or anything that It's like, I don't know,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure, I don't know, I don't know, I
- 19:46Speaker 1: don't know.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Listen, missus Kerger.
- 19:48Speaker 14: In twenty twenty three, when PBS had a program Washington
- 19:53Speaker 14: Week with the Atlantic, and when President Biden's mental acuity
- 19:57Speaker 14: was questioned, one of the reporters claimed the GUP was lying.
- 20:00Speaker 14: Another reporter, Jeffrey Goldberg, who's been in the news of late,
- 20:03Speaker 14: described Biden as quote mentally acute. Were you aware if
- 20:07Speaker 14: there were any discending opinions on that program that day?
- 20:10Speaker 12: I don't know from that day there were not.
- 20:13Speaker 14: But fortunately there was a debate, and I believe June
- 20:17Speaker 14: of twenty twenty four where the American people in the
- 20:19Speaker 14: world found out just who was lying the Democrats, Jeffrey
- 20:22Speaker 14: Goldberg and PBS. Miss Marr, I'm sure you're aware that
- 20:26Speaker 14: Hunter Biden had a laptop. I am sure, yes, okay,
- 20:30Speaker 14: And there were many stories written about said laptop, yes, sir.
- 20:33Speaker 14: And in twenty twenty, unfortunately, and PR's managing editor for
- 20:36Speaker 14: News refused to cover the story and he branded it
- 20:38Speaker 14: a quote waste of time, not a real story, and
- 20:41Speaker 14: a distraction. And instead of, unfortunately of NPR investigating, they
- 20:46Speaker 14: ran a puff piece that led with experts say attack
- 20:50Speaker 14: on Hunter Biden addiction deepened stigma for millions. It's an
- 20:55Speaker 14: unfortunate that MPR ignored the Hunter Biden laptop story. But
- 20:59Speaker 14: y'all did talk quite a bit about the debunked Russia collusion.
- 21:02Speaker 14: Do you know how many times NPR interviewed Adam Schiff about.
- 21:06Speaker 11: Congressman I would love to say that we actually believe
- 21:08Speaker 11: we made a mistake on the Hunter Biden left.
- 21:10Speaker 12: Ok. That's sorry and I appreciate that. Thank you.
- 21:11Speaker 14: How many times did y'all interview Adam Schiff about the
- 21:15Speaker 14: Russia collusion?
- 21:16Speaker 12: I'm sorry, sorry, I don't have that number.
- 21:17Speaker 14: It was twenty five times. You know how many times
- 21:20Speaker 14: MPR interviewed Chairman of this committee Oversight Committee, Jamiekomer, about
- 21:23Speaker 14: the Biden impeachment inquiry, the Hunter Biden tax evasion, and
- 21:27Speaker 14: Elysia business seelings of the Biden family.
- 21:29Speaker 12: I'm sorry, sorry, I don't know.
- 21:30Speaker 14: I believe that's zero, So it's twenty five to zero,
- 21:32Speaker 14: Miss Kerger. You're aware there's a political spectrum goes all
- 21:36Speaker 14: the way from the far right to the far left
- 21:38Speaker 14: and everywhere in between. Would it trouble you to hear
- 21:41Speaker 14: that for six months? There was an analysis done on
- 21:44Speaker 14: PBS's News Hour from June to November of twenty twenty
- 21:47Speaker 14: three where they found that far right was that term
- 21:51Speaker 14: was used one hundred and sixty two times and far
- 21:53Speaker 14: left was only used six times. Do you find that troubling?
- 21:58Speaker 11: I don't know the study that you're referring to, and
- 22:00Speaker 11: I'd love I'd be very interested in seeing it and
- 22:02Speaker 11: understanding how they came up with those number.
- 22:05Speaker 14: Media Research Center did a six month analysis, and it's
- 22:07Speaker 14: not how you find it you say far right, it's terms.
- 22:11Speaker 14: They use the term far right one hundred and sixty
- 22:13Speaker 14: two times, far left six times. That's a ninety six
- 22:16Speaker 14: to four percent skew. You're also aware that you covered
- 22:19Speaker 14: the GOP and Democratic National Conventions in twenty twenty four. Yes,
- 22:22Speaker 14: we did, okay, Interestingly, seventy two percent of the coverage
- 22:26Speaker 14: of the GOP convention was negative. Eighty eight percent of
- 22:29Speaker 14: the Democratic Convention was positive. Shouldn't be surprising when you
- 22:33Speaker 14: have anchors like I'm the noat who described the Republican
- 22:37Speaker 14: rhetoric as quote outright racism end quote, echoing white supremacy,
- 22:44Speaker 14: mis mayor NPR. You believe your reporters are fair. You
- 22:49Speaker 14: said you're fair, and they're working at it.
- 22:51Speaker 15: I believe that they work to be every day sir.
- 22:52Speaker 15: They're non biased. And yet you have the voter registration issue.
- 22:57Speaker 15: I mean, we're all human beings. We're all going to
- 22:59Speaker 15: see through the world through a certain lens.
- 23:02Speaker 14: And are you aware of any Republicans, any registered Republicans
- 23:06Speaker 14: in your newsroom?
- 23:07Speaker 11: I couldn't say registered, but I know we have conservatives
- 23:09Speaker 11: in our newsroom.
- 23:10Speaker 14: Yes, Okay, So the recent registration when it was looked
- 23:14Speaker 14: at eighty seven Democrats and zero Republicans.
- 23:18Speaker 12: Register, I found that very concerntive.
- 23:19Speaker 14: Yeah, I would not even forty to thirty or fifty
- 23:21Speaker 14: to twenty eighty seven to zero. But it shouldn't be
- 23:24Speaker 14: surprising when their own CEO says things like I'm so
- 23:26Speaker 14: done with Late States capitalism or cause the President of
- 23:29Speaker 14: the United States a deranged racist sociopath, or that America's
- 23:33Speaker 14: addicted to white supremacy. So billions have gone into both
- 23:36Speaker 14: of your coffers over the last several decades. And I
- 23:41Speaker 14: understand why Democrats on this committee are going to viciously
- 23:43Speaker 14: and vehemently defend you all because you become a propaganda
- 23:48Speaker 14: wing of the Democratic Party. Sixty seven percent of your
- 23:52Speaker 14: viewers and listeners identify as Democrat, with only twelve percent conservative,
- 23:57Speaker 14: and you've become a sandbox for leftists propag and is
- 24:00Speaker 14: to frolic on taxpayer diamond no more. And when you
- 24:03Speaker 14: said in the beginning you're going to promote a symphony
- 24:06Speaker 14: of ideological viewpoints, yeah you do. If you're left leaning
- 24:09Speaker 14: left far.
- 24:09Speaker 15: Left there remarkably watch and stay, you'll back.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You look at how this is all just coming out,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and it's a breath of fresh air now to see
- 24:20Speaker 1: these individuals have to answer questions that they've never had
- 24:27Speaker 1: to answer before. They're having to answer these questions because
- 24:35Speaker 1: their funding is about to run out. There are consequence
- 24:40Speaker 1: for an election, and so they show up only because
- 24:43Speaker 1: they have to, because they're afraid they're going to lose
- 24:45Speaker 1: the money and if they lose the money, then what happens,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and what happens their power and their influence and their
- 24:49Speaker 1: state sponsored media, and it's over. It's game over. This
- 24:54Speaker 1: is incredible. You look at again. I go back to
- 24:57Speaker 1: the message thread for a second. We started the show
- 24:59Speaker 1: with Jeff Goldberg and this whole thing and the Atlantic
- 25:04Speaker 1: and everything else. John Ratcliffe, the CIA director, this is
- 25:09Speaker 1: what he said about it today, and it just goes
- 25:11Speaker 1: back to like, we're not afraid to have these conversations.
- 25:14Speaker 1: We're not afraid to talk about saying. And by the way, Democrats,
- 25:18Speaker 1: it's amazing. If they wouldn't have overplayed their hand on
- 25:21Speaker 1: this signal conversation and they wouldn't have said it was
- 25:24Speaker 1: classified information, they wouldn't have said it was war plans,
- 25:27Speaker 1: and they wouldn't have lied so much to build the
- 25:29Speaker 1: story up. They may have actually gotten more traction out
- 25:32Speaker 1: of it. But now they lied so much about it
- 25:35Speaker 1: and said things that just aren't true. That is in
- 25:38Speaker 1: these text threads, it is actually taking away from the
- 25:42Speaker 1: story because they're so thirsty to end someone's career, they're
- 25:46Speaker 1: so thirsty to try to destroy people. By Pete Headseth
- 25:51Speaker 1: listen to the CIA director talking about this member he
- 25:55Speaker 1: was on this threat.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Okay, it's on this signal threat. Listen to what he said.
- 25:59Speaker 16: You know, there's so much Let's talk about this Atlantic
- 26:02Speaker 16: article and about things that were said and that could
- 26:06Speaker 16: have happened, instead of a focus on what did happen.
- 26:09Speaker 16: So my responsibility as CIA director, one of its responsibilities
- 26:13Speaker 16: is to kill terrorists, and that's exactly what I did
- 26:17Speaker 16: along with President Trump's excellent national security team. That's what
- 26:22Speaker 16: we should be focused on with regard to that article.
- 26:25Speaker 16: I also would appreciate the opportunity to relay the fact
- 26:29Speaker 16: that yesterday I spent four hours answering questions from senators.
- 26:33Speaker 12: As a result of that article that.
- 26:35Speaker 16: Were intimating that I transmitted classified information because there were
- 26:40Speaker 16: hidden messages. Those messages were revealed today and revealed that
- 26:44Speaker 16: I did not transmit classified information, and that the reporter,
- 26:49Speaker 16: who I don't know, I think, intentionally intended it to
- 26:52Speaker 16: indicate that that reporter also indicated that I had released
- 26:57Speaker 16: the name of an undercover CIA operative in that signal channel.
- 27:02Speaker 16: In fact, I had released the name of my chief
- 27:04Speaker 16: of staff, who is not operating undercover.
- 27:08Speaker 12: That was deliberately false.
- 27:10Speaker 16: And misleading, and I appreciate the opportunity to reflect that
- 27:15Speaker 16: my answers haven't changed. I used an appropriate channel to
- 27:18Speaker 16: communicate sensitive information it was permissible to do so. I
- 27:22Speaker 16: didn't transfer any classified information. And at the end of
- 27:28Speaker 16: the day, what is most important is that the mission
- 27:32Speaker 16: was a remarkable success. Is what everyone should be focused
- 27:36Speaker 16: on here, because that's what did happen, not what possibly
- 27:39Speaker 16: could have happened.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I love John Ratcliffe for this job because he's so smart.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I've known him for years. He's one of the smartest
- 27:49Speaker 2: guys I know. And the way that he just.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Responds there making it very clear that you guys are
- 27:56Speaker 1: talking about all these things it didn't happen, all these
- 27:59Speaker 1: scenarios that didn't happen. You're doing all of these things
- 28:04Speaker 1: saying all of these things that did not actually happen.
- 28:10Speaker 1: You're over playing your hand by the way the White
- 28:15Speaker 1: House pressinger Terry Caroline Levitt exposing Senator.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Warner I played him earlier and his fake outrage.
- 28:23Speaker 1: She blasted him for using signal to set up a
- 28:26Speaker 1: contact with a disgraced Steel DOSSI, a author as there said,
- 28:30Speaker 1: no one should be using signal.
- 28:32Speaker 2: The White House throwing facts out today.
- 28:35Speaker 17: Listen, and here's just one example of how bad faith
- 28:38Speaker 17: the Democrat's criticisms are. Democrat Senator Mark Warner is hysterical
- 28:43Speaker 17: over the use of Signal, which is an approved acryptid
- 28:46Speaker 17: app in the killing of who they terrorists, But Senator
- 28:49Speaker 17: Warner himself used signal to work with a lobbyist for
- 28:53Speaker 17: a Russian oligarch to connect with it, to connect the
- 28:57Speaker 17: disgraced Steele dossier author who's he arded the Russia hoax,
- 29:01Speaker 17: which Jeffrey Goldberg later reported on how ironic. We're not
- 29:05Speaker 17: going to lose focus of the bottom line, which is
- 29:08Speaker 17: that Joe Biden's weakness enabled and emboldened hoothy terrorists, and
- 29:11Speaker 17: President Trump's strength and resolve eliminated those terrorists.
- 29:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I love the way that she also describes it there.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Not only is Warner like a scumbag and full of
- 29:22Speaker 1: blank for actually using signal to set up a contact
- 29:26Speaker 1: with a disgrace still D'SCIA author, but they also don't
- 29:30Speaker 1: care that, oh, by the way, we were actually killing
- 29:33Speaker 1: terrorists that you guys should have killed when you were
- 29:36Speaker 1: in charge, but refused to kill. So if you want
- 29:39Speaker 1: to know who's side they're on, if you want to
- 29:41Speaker 1: know it side they are on. This is what you
- 29:43Speaker 1: need to know, Like, this is it.
- 29:47Speaker 2: It's amazing. Do me a favor.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Make sure you share this podcast with your family, your friends,
- 29:53Speaker 1: put it up on social media wherever you are on
- 29:55Speaker 1: social media, and I will see you back here tomorrow
