- 1:47Speaker 3: the money up wouldn't.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think that? Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 6: dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 6: radio show. Hell Man back in business too, Man Man,
- 2:16Speaker 6: how good is God? I mean, really, if you think
- 2:19Speaker 6: about it in spite of all that's going down in
- 2:21Speaker 6: your life, First of all, it could be worse. But secondly,
- 2:25Speaker 6: sometimes you have to remember. And I've just had to
- 2:28Speaker 6: have this conversation with myself this morning. That's how I'm
- 2:32Speaker 6: fresh on this one right here. When a challenge faces you,
- 2:36Speaker 6: are you going through a difficult moment, or you didn't
- 2:39Speaker 6: hit a bump in the road in the middle of that,
- 2:43Speaker 6: If you could manage to be grateful, it would take
- 2:46Speaker 6: you a long way. Gratitude is a powerful resource. If
- 2:51Speaker 6: you can be grateful in the middle of it. Gratitude
- 2:55Speaker 6: is a powerful resource when it's dim for you. And
- 3:00Speaker 6: then got a little bumpy on the road, and he
- 3:03Speaker 6: ran into some obstacles, and you done ran up into
- 3:05Speaker 6: some detailed signs, and your journey ain't smooth as.
- 3:09Speaker 2: It was last week or last year.
- 3:13Speaker 6: You gotta be grateful for the things that are going
- 3:17Speaker 6: right and that have gone right.
- 3:20Speaker 2: And for the thing that's wrong right now to get right? Man?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Can I share that with you? Man? Is that a
- 3:26Speaker 2: tough one to learn? It is? For me.
- 3:28Speaker 6: It has been one of my toughest challenges is to
- 3:32Speaker 6: learn how to be grateful because it's a powerful resource,
- 3:37Speaker 6: but how to be grateful in moments of despair when
- 3:40Speaker 6: it ain't going right. See here's a mistake I would make.
- 3:43Speaker 6: See when something go wrong, I want to focus on
- 3:46Speaker 6: the wrong so much in an attempt to fix it.
- 3:50Speaker 6: But even then the focus ain't always in to fix it.
- 3:54Speaker 6: The focus becomes, Man, this is bad, man, I can't
- 3:58Speaker 6: believe this is happening. Why this keep going down? That
- 4:02Speaker 6: doesn't fix anything? You know, mealing over it, going over
- 4:07Speaker 6: what's wrong, explaining it, sharing it with your friends, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 6: making it sound worse.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Than it is.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Tell the story for pity from other people. All of
- 4:20Speaker 6: that right there, has nothing to do with the fix.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Sometimes you're just mulling over it. You're just making it worse.
- 4:26Speaker 6: You're just making it a bigger problem. You're manifesting it
- 4:29Speaker 6: into your atmosphere, You're putting it out there in your spirit. Now,
- 4:33Speaker 6: all of a sudden, it consumes your day. Next thing,
- 4:36Speaker 6: you know, you're having a bad day. If you're having
- 4:38Speaker 6: a bad day, it's because you've been having some bad thoughts.
- 4:42Speaker 6: So what I've had to learn how to do, and
- 4:44Speaker 6: what I'm working on this morning is I'm working on
- 4:47Speaker 6: this situation that then cropped up. I was going kind
- 4:50Speaker 6: of smooth here for a minute, and now then got
- 4:53Speaker 6: real bumpy in the road, you know, and all this here.
- 4:56Speaker 6: So what I'm thinking about now, though, is even though
- 4:58Speaker 6: I've hit a bump in the and even though I
- 5:01Speaker 6: done ran into a detour, and even though I've hit
- 5:05Speaker 6: this lull.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm going down into a valley, I ain't up on
- 5:09Speaker 2: the peak.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Can I not still be grateful for all the things
- 5:14Speaker 6: that God has given me, for all the things He's
- 5:17Speaker 6: done for me, for all the things He's brought me through,
- 5:21Speaker 6: and realizing that even this that's happening to me again
- 5:26Speaker 6: is going to pass to He gonna get me through
- 5:28Speaker 6: that too. Come on, man, God is a good god man.
- 5:31Speaker 6: It's a lot to be grateful for. So while I'm
- 5:34Speaker 6: tripping on this bumping the road out in here, what
- 5:36Speaker 6: I got to remember is all the things He's done
- 5:38Speaker 6: for me. And like I say, my saying is join
- 5:41Speaker 6: depression cannot reside in the same place. So instead of
- 5:44Speaker 6: being down about this new bumping the road, if I'm
- 5:47Speaker 6: constantly filling my mind with the thoughts of how good
- 5:51Speaker 6: He's been to me, of what all he's done for me,
- 5:54Speaker 6: of all the things he's brought me through, of all
- 5:57Speaker 6: the blessings he's presented me with, when I go down
- 5:59Speaker 6: that listen, I really.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Don't have a lot of time to mull over the situation. Now.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Do I have to fix this bump in the row?
- 6:10Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Are There's some things I'm going to have to do
- 6:13Speaker 6: to straighten it out, of course it is. But Steve
- 6:16Speaker 6: just going to get the business of doing it and
- 6:18Speaker 6: straighten it out. What you mulling over and worrying about
- 6:21Speaker 6: it for you know, old people. I heard old people
- 6:24Speaker 6: say something. When I was growing up in the church,
- 6:25Speaker 6: they say, if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry
- 6:28Speaker 6: about it. But if you're gonna worry about it, don't
- 6:30Speaker 6: pray about it. That's an amazing thing. And prayer just
- 6:34Speaker 6: happens to be my weapon of choice. Now, it ain't
- 6:37Speaker 6: always been that way. I want you to understand that
- 6:40Speaker 6: my first weapon of choice was you do it to me,
- 6:43Speaker 6: I do it to you. You called me out, I
- 6:45Speaker 6: call you out, you say something bad about me. I've
- 6:48Speaker 6: tried to find you say something bad about you. That
- 6:51Speaker 6: was my weapon in the past. How did that work
- 6:53Speaker 6: out for you, Steve?
- 6:55Speaker 2: Not so good?
- 6:56Speaker 6: Because you know what, I spent a lot of time
- 7:00Speaker 6: fighting back, kicking back, swinging back, when I could have
- 7:04Speaker 6: spent all that time climbing. See, all you're trying to
- 7:08Speaker 6: do at the end of the day, folks, is have
- 7:09Speaker 6: a better life than the one you got. All you're
- 7:12Speaker 6: trying to do is to improve your position in life.
- 7:15Speaker 6: You know, it's not my business to make sure you
- 7:18Speaker 6: don't get where you're going. I ain't got no time
- 7:20Speaker 6: for that. It's not my job to assure that you
- 7:23Speaker 6: ain't as high as me. I ain't got no time
- 7:26Speaker 6: for that. Your real mission and purpose is to have
- 7:30Speaker 6: the best life that you can have, to ascend to
- 7:33Speaker 6: the highest plateau that you can get to, to make
- 7:36Speaker 6: your family as comfortable as you can, to provide as.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Much as you can for your family. But legally, see,
- 7:43Speaker 2: those of us are sitting up here trying to come
- 7:45Speaker 2: up with sideways.
- 7:46Speaker 6: You can ask a couple million men sitting in prison
- 7:49Speaker 6: today how they wish they hadn't done that, and they'll
- 7:52Speaker 6: tell you, Oh, man, I wish I never had did it.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I knew not to go down there. Something told me
- 7:59Speaker 2: not to go down there. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 6: If I could change things, I would. But they sitting
- 8:03Speaker 6: somewhere doing some time that had they made another decision
- 8:08Speaker 6: they wouldn't have to do now. That don't make them
- 8:10Speaker 6: throw away people, nah, man, Because everybody make mistakes, and
- 8:14Speaker 6: God is in the forgiving business. And some of us
- 8:16Speaker 6: have done some things that really broke the law, and
- 8:20Speaker 6: a whole lot of other things and deserve to do
- 8:22Speaker 6: some time, But through the grace of God, we didn't.
- 8:25Speaker 6: But now we sit up here we pass judgment on
- 8:27Speaker 6: people who got to do some that I don't care.
- 8:29Speaker 6: I don't care what you've done. God can forgive anything,
- 8:32Speaker 6: but our position, our motivation in life is to try
- 8:36Speaker 6: to have the best life we can have and provide
- 8:39Speaker 6: for those around us and make it comfortable. If that's
- 8:41Speaker 6: your ambition, you don't have time to worry about or
- 8:46Speaker 6: concern yourself with another person. And I wasted time doing that,
- 8:51Speaker 6: And that's not the way to get it done. It's
- 8:54Speaker 6: simply mine to your business. Taking care of you and
- 8:57Speaker 6: getting yourself right and tight is twenty four seven, so
- 9:00Speaker 6: that's a full time job. So what I had to
- 9:03Speaker 6: learn was and what I've the reason I've chosen prayers
- 9:07Speaker 6: as my weapon of choice now is that now prayer
- 9:11Speaker 6: helps me that I don't have to fight back. Now,
- 9:15Speaker 6: if I get cornered, I'm gonna fight you. I ain't
- 9:18Speaker 6: even gonna lie to you. And now I'm still working
- 9:21Speaker 6: on some things that trigger me. You know, you know,
- 9:25Speaker 6: you know, and and and so I'm I'm slowly getting
- 9:29Speaker 6: better at that. But I've learned that my weapon of
- 9:32Speaker 6: choice is prayer now. So when it happens ugly for me,
- 9:38Speaker 6: I pray about it. When it gets tight and dismal
- 9:41Speaker 6: for me, I pray about it. And the thing about
- 9:44Speaker 6: prayer man is prayer changes things.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yes, it does. Now read about it and try it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That's the deal. Okay, Come on, Prayer is a wonderful weapon.

- 11:59Speaker 6: about people who cause I understand where you're coming from,
- 12:02Speaker 6: don't you don't have to cuss. But I'm gonna tell
- 12:05Speaker 6: you right now me personally, Yeah, I recommend.

- 12:24Speaker 6: I ain't got I ain't got chronic illness.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You know I had. I had none of that, man,

- 17:34Speaker 8: Bro Okay, I don't care if you and your mama
- 17:38Speaker 8: got to take them damn life down.
- 17:40Speaker 10: Hold up, brother, what you say about my mama?
- 17:42Speaker 8: God said you and your mama can take them life down,

- 17:53Speaker 8: I shadow ben, I'm on you.
- 17:58Speaker 10: Just you trying to be trying to sign your death sentence.
- 18:02Speaker 10: If you come over to my crib and talk about

- 18:10Speaker 8: You man, you If I come over there and you
- 18:14Speaker 8: and your mama ain't on the ladder trying to get

- 22:15Speaker 1: why he wanted to divorce me, why didn't you just
- 22:18Speaker 1: say that?
- 22:19Speaker 8: Well?
- 22:20Speaker 6: What diffence do with age? You all have the divorce
- 22:25Speaker 6: it's over? What do you mean if this is why?
- 22:27Speaker 6: You know what, let's clear something up about divorce. If
- 22:31Speaker 6: everybody out there is trying to play like victim and
- 22:34Speaker 6: all this here, listen to me.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Quen. The court gives you your divorce date.
- 22:39Speaker 6: That's the date that they legally are no longer marriage,
- 22:45Speaker 6: no longer marriage.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Your marriage has been over long before that.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Now, can we all just agree with that your marriage
- 22:54Speaker 6: ain't over when the court says over your marriage has
- 22:58Speaker 6: been over long before.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Date the problems.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so this he.
- 23:04Speaker 6: Getting married in February. Y'all been messed up for two
- 23:07Speaker 6: years now.
- 23:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I guess she's probably saying, you know, it's so quick.
- 23:16Speaker 8: It was.
- 23:17Speaker 2: It's not quick. Y'all's marriage has been over for a
- 23:20Speaker 2: few years now. That's why you got a divorced.
- 23:24Speaker 1: All right, So Swanda, you need to move on. It's
- 23:27Speaker 1: basically what you're saying.
- 23:28Speaker 2: He gone, Yeah, why didn't he tell me? Tell you what?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Okay?
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Moving on to Reina in Baton Rouge, Reina says, my
- 23:40Speaker 1: boyfriend and I work together, and I'm starting to think
- 23:42Speaker 1: he's dating me. So he'll have a ride to work
- 23:45Speaker 1: during lunch. He's always with the guys we work with,
- 23:48Speaker 1: and he doesn't talk to me until it's time to
- 23:51Speaker 1: go home. We may have sex after work if he
- 23:54Speaker 1: wants to, but never when I ask, is he using
- 23:57Speaker 1: me for a ride or what for a ride insects?
- 24:01Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yeah, for a ride in sick What the hell you
- 24:09Speaker 2: worrying about to ride for?
- 24:10Speaker 6: He don't talk to you when you get right Then
- 24:14Speaker 6: after work it has sex if he want to now
- 24:17Speaker 6: when you want to.
- 24:18Speaker 2: You're being used for the ride and for sex.
- 24:21Speaker 6: But what Yeah, and the ride is secondary, So I
- 24:27Speaker 6: don't know why you wrote this question about the damn ride.
- 24:30Speaker 2: He can come on now, right, But if you made
- 24:39Speaker 2: him uber, you'll probably be out of sex.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right, Raina, it's on you now. Next
- 24:48Speaker 1: move all right. Moving on to Jury and Roanoke Jory.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Jory says, I've been married for two years and my
- 24:57Speaker 1: husband has changed since we got married. He doesn't look
- 25:00Speaker 1: me in the eye or kiss me anymore while we're
- 25:03Speaker 1: being intimate. It feels like we're not connected anymore. Is
- 25:06Speaker 1: this to be expected after a few years.
- 25:09Speaker 2: No, No, it's your man, and quit looking at you
- 25:14Speaker 2: and stop kissing you because he don't want to. That's painful.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Year, just after two years, there's still newlyweds.
- 25:25Speaker 2: No, ain't not. Junior's still kissing your wife, absolutely kissing. God,
- 25:30Speaker 2: but it ain't been six months. Junior is a newly weed.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, absolutely he is.
- 25:38Speaker 6: Because married two years, you are not a newly wed.
- 25:42Speaker 6: You're only wed. Even a baby after two years you
- 25:47Speaker 6: quit doing them damn months.
- 25:49Speaker 1: But he's still a baby.
- 25:51Speaker 2: It's still a baby, though, well, he not twenty nine
- 25:54Speaker 2: months old. It's what I'm saying.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, it's a toddler. He's a toddler. You have
- 26:02Speaker 1: an issue with the newly wed two years.
- 26:06Speaker 2: No, that ain't what the letter is about. You the man.
- 26:09Speaker 6: The man ain't kissing her, and the man ain't looking
- 26:12Speaker 6: her and eye no eye contact is a sign.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you're saying, don't worry about that.
- 26:21Speaker 1: But I'm just saying the relationship is still fairly new
- 26:24Speaker 1: for him to shut all that down so quickly in
- 26:28Speaker 1: the relationship in the matter.
- 26:30Speaker 6: So now, can I ask a question if you're basing
- 26:32Speaker 6: it on the amount of time? Yeah, man, ask you
- 26:34Speaker 6: a questions question? What year in the marriage is it
- 26:39Speaker 6: okay not to get kissed in the mouth and not
- 26:41Speaker 6: to get looking No year.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I just need to know what.
- 26:45Speaker 6: I get no year? Yeah, So so soon when the
- 26:50Speaker 6: cutoff happens, it happens.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It's still painful, that's right. There's no rule for this.
- 26:58Speaker 6: Okay, not kissing you in the mouth and looking you
- 27:01Speaker 6: in the eye no more because you don't want to.
- 27:04Speaker 2: He's looking upside you.
- 27:06Speaker 1: When there while they're intimate, but he's still being intimate
- 27:09Speaker 1: with her. Yeah, sein't looking at it.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Though when they're intimate, he is not making eye contact
- 27:16Speaker 4: where the silver learning is.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They still doing it, so that's good.
- 27:20Speaker 1: That's for him.
- 27:22Speaker 2: They look at you again.
- 27:23Speaker 14: Yeah, eventually.
- 27:27Speaker 2: A lady, what kind of man?
- 27:30Speaker 6: I didn't want to introduce y'all to those two viewpoints.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Y'all kept pushing, though, y'all kept pushing. I said, all right, now, dogs, okay, okay,
- 27:43Speaker 6: I'm gonna let you hear from the male species, and
- 27:45Speaker 6: they ain't gonna be cute.
- 27:47Speaker 2: See ante phone.
- 27:49Speaker 1: When they started talking a minute ago.
- 27:52Speaker 2: It wasn't good enough. When I said, he don't want
- 27:54Speaker 2: to no more.
- 27:56Speaker 6: And then you found out just keep doing until the
- 28:00Speaker 6: do start looking at you to put that.
- 28:03Speaker 2: On you here.
- 28:04Speaker 6: The other one was you know, at least he's still
- 28:07Speaker 6: doing it. You keep talking and even gonna get done.
- 28:14Speaker 2: God, yeah, what you say, Junior?
- 28:17Speaker 1: Stop your complaint?
- 28:19Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Man, what pressure you want?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Walk?
- 28:24Speaker 6: All right?
- 28:25Speaker 9: That's terrible.
- 28:27Speaker 6: It's just it's just how I'm sorry. I don't know
- 28:33Speaker 6: what to tell y'all.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't want yeah, all right, it's clearing.
- 28:37Speaker 2: It ain't that he don't want her. You don't want
- 28:40Speaker 2: to do that no more. You know you didn't hit him.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It's the same thing. Listen to me.
- 28:52Speaker 6: It's like, for example, not saying this applies to all women,
- 28:55Speaker 6: but at one point some people don't care about fixing
- 28:59Speaker 6: a el fuck no more.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I'm just saying, so at what year in the marriage
- 29:05Speaker 2: is that? Okay? But I'm just right now, it's people
- 29:11Speaker 2: in the marriage one else who have cut off.
- 29:13Speaker 6: You have stopped doing what you did, sitting around the
- 29:17Speaker 6: house wearing on and war clothing out fits.
- 29:21Speaker 2: There's nothing here. I can come home and I don't
- 29:24Speaker 2: know you with a bad danna own that you and and.
- 29:27Speaker 6: And a and a matches, scoffing cold cream and cubs
- 29:31Speaker 6: on your eye.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I will see there.
- 29:34Speaker 14: Thank you, Clo.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Mister Steve Harbin, Martin show Man, all your friends, who's
- 29:40Speaker 1: the worst?
- 29:41Speaker 2: Tommy's blood.
- 29:46Speaker 1: He didn't even hesitate.
- 29:49Speaker 6: My apart missing anybody, messed up more cars than anybody,
- 29:53Speaker 6: barred more money than anybody without getting it back, but
- 29:57Speaker 6: got me in more fights than any damn just all
- 30:02Speaker 6: the worst, damn buddy.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I've ever hated. Morning Steve Morning Show coming up right
- 30:08Speaker 2: after you?
- 30:12Speaker 1: All right, come on, see, let's go. You have a
- 30:14Speaker 1: timeline for just a sorry person.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I got a partner I used to work with. I
- 30:18Speaker 2: ain't gonna say his name, Russell.
- 30:25Speaker 14: Say his name though, Russell?
- 30:29Speaker 9: Well, how we know his name?
- 30:29Speaker 2: Russe?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Are you for real right now?
- 30:32Speaker 2: It's slipped out? Well, it's out there now.
- 30:37Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 30:38Speaker 2: He's a timeline, oh Russell.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 30:42Speaker 2: And this is what he would do.
- 30:44Speaker 6: You ready, four times a month, four five times a
- 30:47Speaker 6: month at least seven am, the alarm go off, get
- 30:53Speaker 6: the snooze, wake up at seven forty five?
- 30:58Speaker 14: Okay, I like it.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I don't know who got a forty.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Five minutes news, but he had one put in special
- 31:03Speaker 6: on his clock, my brother eight o'clock. He would call
- 31:09Speaker 6: in to let us know he's running lately. Now in
- 31:15Speaker 6: his mind, that'll give him thirty minutes, which means he
- 31:20Speaker 6: gonna hit the road the highway at eight thirty.
- 31:25Speaker 2: But he waited till eight to make the phone. Now
- 31:28Speaker 2: he's been up, but he waits eight thirty a m.
- 31:35Speaker 2: He in traffic. He make his second call.
- 31:40Speaker 6: Back in to us in the boss to complain about
- 31:43Speaker 6: how bad the traffic. Yes, yeah, Russell, which means he
- 31:50Speaker 6: may not make it till nine, which gives him another
- 31:57Speaker 6: thirty minutes. Okay, genius, but they really don't ever expect
- 32:01Speaker 6: him to ten thirty. Now, since you don't have to
- 32:06Speaker 6: be down to ten thirty. Russell then took his ass
- 32:10Speaker 6: and got some breakfast.
- 32:13Speaker 4: This boy.
- 32:16Speaker 6: Russell sitting down eating breakfast. Somewhere around eleven thirty. Russell
- 32:21Speaker 6: has now arrived at work. He go immediately to the
- 32:27Speaker 6: supervisor's desk to complain about how.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Bad the traffic was.
- 32:33Speaker 6: Right then, every time he at the desk, he always
- 32:39Speaker 6: makes sure he slips this phrase.
- 32:42Speaker 2: In wow, look at the time, man, I gotta get
- 32:47Speaker 2: to words.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Like it. Just come to it.
- 32:52Speaker 2: He said, fresh too, Wow, man, look at hell? I got.
- 33:00Speaker 6: Yeah. Now that's somewhere around eleven forty five, left forty five.
- 33:04Speaker 6: He bs to twelve as an emails personal emails.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Mostly he go to lunch at twelve thirty.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Wait a minute, lunch, twelve thirty.
- 33:17Speaker 14: I love Russell.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Russ because we was in sales. Russ taking two hour lunch.
- 33:26Speaker 6: He's back at two thirty. But then he makes sure
- 33:31Speaker 6: he stopped back by the supervisor his office, but this
- 33:36Speaker 6: time just to show his face.
- 33:40Speaker 2: And you know, just some some bs, yes, just bs conversation.
- 33:46Speaker 2: How about them? Cowboy?

- 34:12Speaker 6: He gets back to his desk and he had the
- 34:15Speaker 6: desk and he played the game of pong, commuting pong.
- 34:21Speaker 2: He because back then.
- 34:23Speaker 6: That's always happens a poem. He's back at his desk
- 34:26Speaker 6: and he's playing pong. He had deck of cards and
- 34:29Speaker 6: he played a little solitaire, which he always wants.
- 34:35Speaker 2: He's gonna strack a card down fifteen in a row.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Fifteen who hel wins fifteen games of solitary?
- 34:42Speaker 5: Boy?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Got that kind of time.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Then they do personal emails to about four.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Eh.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Now it's time to clock out. Got to get the
- 34:54Speaker 6: hell out of him. Now, his next step of clocking
- 34:57Speaker 6: out is very important. When he go to the clock,
- 35:03Speaker 6: he makes sure that the clock time in fairs eight.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So he go on clock out. It for yeah, because
- 35:19Speaker 2: you know you need all them out.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm late.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Ain't got nothing do with how many hours of payout.
- 35:28Speaker 6: So he had a little magnet and a screwdriver, and
- 35:31Speaker 6: he could take the magnet and put it on the
- 35:33Speaker 6: face of the clock. And turn the hands and the
- 35:35Speaker 6: screwdriver blocked it from clicking back. Then as soon as
- 35:38Speaker 6: he said eight, he slided a card in a twink
- 35:40Speaker 6: cheek bone and get him an eight o'clock man.
- 35:44Speaker 14: Yes, that's a lot of work.
- 35:47Speaker 9: What is lazy.
- 35:50Speaker 2: To?
- 35:50Speaker 14: Five times a month?
- 35:51Speaker 2: And that right there? You think that was hard? That's
- 35:55Speaker 2: what Russ say. Put in another hard day.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Man, Come on the house today, same thing, same thing
- 36:02Speaker 1: all over again.

- 56:13Speaker 1: Here it is strawberry letter. Subject, her husband is better
- 56:18Speaker 1: than mine. Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and I have
- 56:21Speaker 1: been together for eleven years total and married for eight.
- 56:25Speaker 1: My older sister has been married for fifteen years, and
- 56:28Speaker 1: her husband is like a big brother and mentor for
- 56:31Speaker 1: my husband. My sister and her husband have always done
- 56:35Speaker 1: great financially, and when I got married, my sister bought
- 56:38Speaker 1: my dress and paid for my glam team. She's always
- 56:42Speaker 1: been the one to take care of my parents as well.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I was struggling through graduate school and then I got
- 56:47Speaker 1: pregnant before I got married, so my sister and brother
- 56:51Speaker 1: in law stepped in to help us out with the baby.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Because the goal was for me to finish school and
- 56:58Speaker 1: for my husband to finish medical school. We have always
- 57:01Speaker 1: been appreciative of the help, but along the way we
- 57:04Speaker 1: tried not to become a burden. After we got married,
- 57:07Speaker 1: we got a loan for home improvement, and my husband
- 57:10Speaker 1: decided to chip in and help my sister and brother
- 57:13Speaker 1: in law with redoing their outdoor kitchen. My husband and
- 57:17Speaker 1: I bought a very expensive grill and smoker for them.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Instead of being grateful, my brother in law was offended
- 57:24Speaker 1: and said he couldn't accept the gift. From then on,
- 57:27Speaker 1: our relationship turned into a competition. My sister and I
- 57:31Speaker 1: aren't as close as we once were because she told
- 57:34Speaker 1: me that her husband is better than mine. Things were
- 57:37Speaker 1: fine and dandy as long as we were needy, but
- 57:41Speaker 1: now my husband is one of the most respected doctors
- 57:44Speaker 1: in our area, and she can't take it. When I
- 57:47Speaker 1: got my new car, When I got a new car,
- 57:49Speaker 1: she got a new car, more expensive car. I got
- 57:52Speaker 1: breast in plants, so did she. Both of our husbands
- 57:56Speaker 1: are successful and great fathers. So why can't she be
- 57:59Speaker 1: happy for us? Should I even try to repair our relationship?
- 58:04Speaker 2: Wow?
- 58:05Speaker 1: I just think, pure and simple, this is nothing but
- 58:07Speaker 1: jealousy and hateration from your sister and her husband. I mean,
- 58:11Speaker 1: I think you're exactly right. They were fine and you
- 58:13Speaker 1: guys were the needy ones, and now that you're doing well,
- 58:17Speaker 1: they just can't take it. I think it was nice
- 58:20Speaker 1: gesture of your husband to help them with their outside
- 58:23Speaker 1: kitchen and to buy them those you know, the expensive
- 58:26Speaker 1: smoker and all the cooking equipment and stuff. I just
- 58:30Speaker 1: don't think they can take it now. It's killing them
- 58:35Speaker 1: that you guys, you know, are doing well, your husband
- 58:38Speaker 1: is respected and the community and everything, and that just
- 58:41Speaker 1: doesn't seem to sit well with them. I mean, it's sad.
- 58:45Speaker 1: It's your sister, it's family. You would think, like you said,
- 58:48Speaker 1: she would be happy for you and understand that you
- 58:53Speaker 1: were struggling, But now you're not. And you guys are
- 58:55Speaker 1: grateful for their support, and you wanted to pay them
- 58:58Speaker 1: back in some way, and of course, you know you
- 59:02Speaker 1: asked should you try to repair your relationship and that
- 59:04Speaker 1: would be nice, and you know, because she is your sister.
- 59:08Speaker 1: But I don't know. I mean, they're so green with
- 59:11Speaker 1: envy right now. I mean, you get breast in plants.
- 59:14Speaker 1: She gets breast in plants. Okay, who does that? At
- 59:17Speaker 1: least not without a conversation.
- 59:19Speaker 4: You like them?
- 59:20Speaker 8: Sis?
- 59:20Speaker 1: Are they okay? Are they big enough? Did you you
- 59:22Speaker 1: know all of that? You know that could have been
- 59:25Speaker 1: a conversation between the two sisters, But no, she made
- 59:28Speaker 1: it into a conversation, so I say, you know you
- 59:31Speaker 1: can try because she is your sister, but don't be
- 59:33Speaker 1: surprised if she stays right there in her hate space.
- 59:37Speaker 6: Steve, Well, I really don't understand this letter. I really don't.
- 59:46Speaker 6: It don't really seem like that big a deal to me.
- 59:48Speaker 6: I go through it and see you why I sold this.
- 59:51Speaker 6: I see the problem just Stephen Shirley. The subject is
- 59:55Speaker 6: her husband better than mine? My husband and I've been
- 59:58Speaker 6: to get eleven years man eight. My older sister been
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: married fifteen husband like a big brother mint to my husband.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: You know, my sister bought my dress from a wedding
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: and paid from a glam team. She always took care
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: of parents and stuff. I was struggling through graduate school
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: and then I got pregnant for I got married, so
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: your sister and your brother in law stepped in to
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: help us out with the baby. Because gold was for
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: me to finish school and from my husband finished medical school.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: We've always been appreciative of the help, and along the
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: way we tried not to become a burden. And after
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: we got married, we got a loan for home improvements,
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: and my husband decided he was now here was what
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: the letter about. My husband decided to chip in and
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: help my sister and brother in law with redoing their
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: outdoor kitchen. My husband and I bought a very expensive
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: grill and smoker for them. Instead of being grateful, my
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: brother in law was offended and said he couldn't accept
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: the gift. From then on, our relationship turned into a competition. Well,
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: I'll see right then, I don't understand problems. I buy
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: you an explicit grill and the ultimate smoker for your
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: new outdoor kitchen, and you turn it down.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: But guess what my outdoor kitchen gonna be banging? Yeah,
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: he no problem.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Plus, you took some of your home improvement money anyway,
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: might well improve your home you know time. You know,
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: I'll put me out though kitchen out there and it'd
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: be nice then, you know, she said, My sister and
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: I ain't as close because the whole relationship turned to
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: a competition. And then she once told you that her
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: husband is better than mine. Well see why your husband
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: might have been doing better than mine or while back.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: But we can catch y'all.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Win the game. Now you up? We will? You got?
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: We got you won't we won't You bought, we bought,
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: but it had turned into a combination, a competition. She
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: wants to know at the end of the lettership, I
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: try to repair our relationship, and I'm gonna tell.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: You how I think you can finally put a stop
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: to this w week cook back.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: All right, all right, Steve, hang on. We'll have part
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: after the hour, subject her husband is better than mine.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. It's time
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: to talk about life insurance. It's one of those things
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: that everyone should have, and Globe Life makes it easy

- 1:03:06Speaker 1: dot com or one eight hundred two five one fifty
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: four hundred. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: strawberry letter. The subject her husband is better than mine?
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: Well, uh, lady got an older sister, been married longer
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: than her her and her husband was in medical school
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: and graduate school and had a baby before they got married,
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: and their sister and brother in law helped out.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Everything seemed to be normal. That's what families do, you know.
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: Everything They tried not to be a burden to them,
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: but her older sister always been the one.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: To help her parents out and everything.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: And finally you and your husband got married, and you
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: got a loan for home improvement, and your husband decided
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: to chip in and help your sister and his brother
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: in law, who's done so much for them with redoing
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: their outdo kitchen. Husband and you went and bought this
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: expensive grill and a smoker. Instead of being grateful, the
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: brother in law was offended and said he couldn't accept
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: the gift.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: From then on, our relationship turned into a competition.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: My sister and I are as close as we weren't
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: worried because she told me her husband is better than mine. Well,
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: let's see, she said that for a while. You know,
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: they were doing better than you all. You know, but
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: my husband is better than yours. You know, I'm not
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: ready bought y'all this grill and this smoker you didn't want,
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: which means I've been had a ball of backyard out
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: though barbecue now, thank you, and so let's just move along.
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: But here's things got a little different though. And things
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: was finding dandy as long as we were needed. But
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: now my husband is one of the most respected doctors
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: in our area, and she.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Can't take it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: When I got a new car, she got a new
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: and more expensive car. I got breasting plants he did.
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: Both our husbands are successful in great father so why
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: can't she be happy for us? She'll even try to
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: repair relation. I don't know if this needs repairing. It
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: don't seem like that bigger deal than me. But if
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: you want to put a stop to her to have
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: some suggestions for you. You said, when you got a
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: new car, she got a new more expensive car. Well
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: you know what your next movie is, don't you. You
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: got to go buy a more expensive car than the
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: one she bought. Nah, let's see what she go with this. Oh,
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: since we up in each other, you got to go
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: buy a car and more expensive than the one.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: She bought and see what she do.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: Then you ought to call up your sister and say, hey,
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: look remember that breast and plants I got? And you
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: wouldn't got some I'm going back down now and I'm
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: gonna go with I'm gonna put it. I'm gonna get
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: an extra d I'm gonna I'm gonna go get it.
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: I'm gonna get double d's this time.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, let's see if she wants to try to
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: get an eat. See, I don't know. I'll tell you what.
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: She ain't gonna be able to cool coffee if she
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: messing with me because I have a breast right up
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: under her throat. They'll be so big, but you won't
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: be able to see your food you eating on the table. Yeah,
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: I'm for all this. Hell, But in all seriousness, you know,
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: let's look at this the right way. It's a competition thing.
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: So what some people can't take them when you do better.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: Some people like it when when they do it better
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: than you, the underdogs. Some people just don't like to
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: see you up even that's that's a sad person right there,
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: and there's really nothing you can do for them. But
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: if that's her objective is to keep you under her,
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: the best thing you could do is just keep winning.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: I don't know how to repair that.
- 1:07:04Speaker 6: I don't know how you go to your sister, your
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: relatively and say, look, I don't want to compete with you,
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: but we're doing okay. Now, It's really I don't really
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: see how what it is what y'all think, because I
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: don't really know.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: I don't truy.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I mean, like I said, she can try that because
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: she is family, but I don't think it's going to
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: do any good. The sister's probably just going to stay
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: where she is because she It gave her something to
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: be able to provide for the family and be the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: one that everybody came to. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Everyone She provided for her family, for her parents and everything.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: So she liked that position and that feeling.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: And now that's well, what our sistert to do is
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: don't get some new friends. You can find you. Listen
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: to me, you can find somebody got molding you trust me,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: you can.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Yeah, stay out there.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Let me tell you something.
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: Don't go out here trying to get in the competition
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: who got the most, because you're gonna be in the
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: world of trouble out here in this world right here, man,
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: because I don't know where you go.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Somebody can show you something, but that's you know, man.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: I saw a meeting where a group of people was
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: laughing at Jeff Bezo's money, laughing our.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Love and he's supposed to be the rich man in
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: the world. Right, Wow, he's not.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: But that's I've been I've been to me where they
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: was laughing at him. I saw it.
- 1:08:28Speaker 13: But everybody can be great. That's room for everybody to
- 1:08:30Speaker 13: be great. What's the competition about living life?
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: But there are some people who make their greatness based
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: on the least of other people, if that makes sense.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: Some people make their greatness based on the group they
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: end and if they're doing better than everybody in they group,
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: then that's their greatness. And that's a sad way to live.
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: And that's the truly sad way to live. That's not
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: cool at all.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: That's sad.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: That's sad. Man.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: When you're making your greatness beyond the backs of others
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: who have less, that ain't nothing right there. That's like
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: being the richest person in the projects. And ain't we
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: all stealed in the projects?
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Don't time? Right?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Yes? Which are going to rise and help get them out.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: It's such a great feeling when you can pay someone
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: back who's helped you. I mean, come on, anyway, all right,

- 1:10:50Speaker 9: I can't do that.
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: Everybody on this show, incid of us, can do that,
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: not one hundred percent, but ninety five.
- 1:11:01Speaker 14: I'm just saying, like, getting stuff out the freezer at

- 1:12:27Speaker 1: A couple more inches.
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: You get two inches? You still short? I lose two inches.
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: I'm still talking.
- 1:12:34Speaker 12: Yeah, you put those in the shoes, but your heel
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: is sticking at the back of your shoe.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: It looks real, man, your shoe about to come on
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: walking lots people. This is Kirk Franklin.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Hey, this Isaka Kahan. What's going on? This is your
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: boy Cheving Hart. Hey, this is Chloe Kardashian. This is
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: your boy, Chris.
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: Brow, your boy. The big Snoop Dog came to shell this.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: This is your boy, said the entertainer.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: This is Yolanda Adams less LF is.
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: DJ Cavin And you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning's Show.
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: There's morning shows, and there's the greatest Steve Harvey Morning's Show.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Another one.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: this one's for you. Kim writes, my BFF and I
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: work together, so we spend five days a week with
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: each other and talk all the time. She was having
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: a bad time with her boyfriend, and I was always
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: there to be supportive and encourage her to stand up
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: for herself. Well, now things seem to be good with him,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: and she's told him that I was encouraging her to
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: break it off with him, and he doesn't want her
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: to be friends with me anymore. He's even trying to
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: get her to quit her job. I think it's a
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: horrible idea for her to get back together with him,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and know it's only a matter of time before he's
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: back to his old self and she'll be looking to
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: me for support. How do I keep my bff from
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: cutting me out of her life and leaving her with
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: no one who's looking out for what's best for her.
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: Okay, how about Hey, this ain't your damn business. See
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: what happened to that? I don't understand why? What is
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: the matter? See hey, let me tell you something. If
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: somebody makes it clear to me, Steve, this ain't your
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: damn business?
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Thank you? So you mean I ain't got to take
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: your call no more?
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: Bro, I promise you you if you insinuate that you
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: don't need my help, that it ain't want it, I
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: promise you.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: I got plenty of.
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: People won't talk to me about stuff. If you ain't, man,
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: let me tell you, Doug. I had to tell one
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: of my own kids that, hey, look, okay, I tell
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: you well, you got it. Go ahead that I'm telling
- 1:14:45Speaker 6: you if you if you go with Route eight, I
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: can tell you what's down that street right there.
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: If you take Route B, I've been on that road too,
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: I can tell you what's down B. I'm telling right now.
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: Don't go down eight. Dad, times is different. Now your
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: ass down eight. Go ahead, class right on down Avenue eight.
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: You ain't gonna believe what's down there, but you know so.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: So she should stay out of her bff's business period, please. Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: But she thinks she's helping. You know, she thinks she's helping,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: so she's looking out for her Shut up, all right,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I think we have time for one more. This is
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: from Bridget. Bridget on Facebook says, I like my current job.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I make a decent salary and enjoy the work, but
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: with everything getting more expensive, it would help if I
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: was able to make a little more. Unfortunately, there isn't
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: any room for advancement at my job, and I'm at
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: the max of what they'll pay. And on top of that,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I work all the time. So I don't have any
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: time to earn money outside of work, or any time
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: to look for a different job. Where do I go
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: from here? How do I earn more when my time
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: is spent on my current job.
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: Well, see, you are in what's called a trap. You
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: are in a trap. You have maxed out, You're at
- 1:16:22Speaker 6: the top level. You can't make any more, and you
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: want more. There's one decision that you can make that
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: can solve this problem.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: You have to quit, quit your current position to pursue
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: your dream.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Jump.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Now that's your option.
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: That's an amazing option to have because it offers you freedom,
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: it offers you progress. The problem with where you are
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: is you've gotten comfort about that if you stay in
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: your comfort zone, that is where you will fail. And
- 1:17:06Speaker 6: right now you are in the process of watching failure
- 1:17:10Speaker 6: come upon you. You can't make anymore, your job doesn't
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: offer anymore. There's no room for advancement. So I don't
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: know how old you are, but you're done. What is
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: it that makes no damn sense at all? So now
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: you're going to have to face what you already know
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: that your greatest chance for an opportunity is outside of
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: your comfort zone. That's that, and all of us have
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: those moments in life all the time. I'm facing one
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: right now.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: That's right, all right, coming up in twenty minutes after
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: the hour. We'll have morning show right after this. All right, So, guys,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: have you ever eaten a meal that just brought you
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: to tears?
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: It was so good?
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I mean, have you ever done that? I'll tell you
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: what's gotten close? What when we were all in Paris.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: That baked potato ooh with that loaded cayeh, that caveard.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it had me so emotional. Yes, all right, okay,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: well wait a minute, so good, hold your tears. It
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: was good. Hold your tears, baby, all right, here we go.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: So yeah, So, so some of us have eaten a
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: meal that has brought us to tears, or at least
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: come close to bring us to tears. Or maybe who
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: knows it was the bill at the end of the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: meal that made you cry. Well, anyway, there is this
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: elderly man in China. He's been diagnosed with an extremely
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: rare condition. It's known as crocodile tears syndrome. I'm like,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: is this for real? You got this?
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: You got a to turn.
- 1:19:02Speaker 14: I beat my mama oxtails and it just happened.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: It causes him to cry every time he eats, and
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: it's ruining his social life. Doctors reported that his nerve
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: fibers are misdirected and they interfere with his UH salivary glands,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: so when he smells or tastes food, it makes him
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: cry and very funny. No, it's not nat. They can't
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: keep doing it try and can't keep doing the same.
- 1:19:29Speaker 8: Doc trink just to eat like this.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: This is ab.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:39Speaker 14: We'll play around the Woods thirty three minutes after.

- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Paper is a paper?
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Yeah magazine?
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I had googled that so many times that my
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: computer made that my screen saver.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, automatically. It's just amazing.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: All right, we'll yeah, all right, all right. Would you
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: rather eat hot sauce in the desert or ice cream
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: in the snow? That's easy to want to eat ice
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: cream in the snow.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna eat that ice cream in the snow.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Yeah, cold and cold, cold, and you can deal with.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: Junior. You gonna go with the hot sauce, not doing that.
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: No, No, your stupid ass is nothing to be out
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: here in this cold and some damn ice cream and
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: you're back in the damn hospital because you know the
- 1:21:47Speaker 6: cold weather kicks in the crisis.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: What is your on the last talking about some damn
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: ice cream and cold for.
- 1:21:53Speaker 15: Dog?
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: Got all us in here praying for you every four
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: times a year and all this, and you'll stake your
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: ass out that house.
- 1:21:59Speaker 8: But you.
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: Slap slap about your mouth if I see you outside,
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: eat the bowl, eyes freeze.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: For you, get your.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's really hot?
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Would you rather, guys, would you rather be constantly I
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: mean constantly surprised in bed? Or would you rather always
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: want to know what's coming? You always know what's coming,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: or you're constantly surprised? Which one would you rather keep surprising?
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: I don't even know what's coming him. I ain't gonna.
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: I'm like, he's sitting up here leaning against the wall.
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: Where about what's going to come out?
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: No, I can't do that.
- 1:22:54Speaker 5: We know what we know.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Everybody know.
- 1:22:56Speaker 12: We know our role.
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: We know.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we're good. You just want to know what's coming.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: I like what's coming?
- 1:23:05Speaker 9: I like making yeah, marking, yeah, Hey, hey, hey, hey, what.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Is the monkey phone.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Round a wood?
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: Why is the little person over there with the camp.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: Coming up?
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: In forty nine minutes after the hour, it's the last
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: break of the day, and we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: from this Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show time to talk about life insurance.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: It's one of those things that everyone should have, and
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Globe Life makes it easy with no medical exam, just
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: a simple application and cover joptions up to one hundred
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Get the coverage you need in twenty twenty five.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Go online and Blodlife radio dot com or call one
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred to apply
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: in minutes. That's Globlife Radio dot com or one eight
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: hundred two five one fifty four hundred. All right, guys,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: it is our last break of the day and Steve,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: it's time for our closing remarks.
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: Hey, here it is today you all. I want to encourage,
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: but I want to remind you of something. You have
- 1:24:26Speaker 6: an opportunity to make a decision that can alter the
- 1:24:33Speaker 6: course of your life. You you have an opportunity to
- 1:24:41Speaker 6: make a decision that can alter the course of your life.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Okay, Steve, what do you mean by that? I mean this,
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: and this is just a true fact.
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: If you change your thought process, if you change the
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: way you live things, if you take every negative spin
- 1:25:04Speaker 6: and put a positive spin on it, if you start
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: setting your dreams and goals. If you start praying, if
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: you start confiding in God, if you form a relationship
- 1:25:14Speaker 6: with your creator, you have done the necessary things. You
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: have made a decision that can alter the course of
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: your life. All you have to do is believe that
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: it's so that simple thing is so difficult for the
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: average person to even conceive for themselves.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: And why is that.
- 1:25:38Speaker 6: I'll tell you why. Because the devil is brilliant. Because
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: the devil uses all the tricks to persuade you to
- 1:25:46Speaker 6: think the opposite way. His only job is to rob
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: you of your destiny. And if he can make you
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: think that what I just said is not possible for you,
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: it is the beginning. But let's go back and look
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: at it. If you look at all the success stories
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: of most honest people, they will tell you at some
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: point I believed it, I wanted it, and I worked
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: for it. But if you do not have the belief,
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: we can stop right there. If you don't believe something
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: is for you, if you don't believe in something you
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: want or aspire to, we can stop right there.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: Now, think about it. Have you given up on the
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: belief system?
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: Have you given up on believing in the things that
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: you used to want for yourself because in the delaying
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: of it happening, you perceive the delay as a denial.
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: How many of you are guilty of that. Have a
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: real moment here now. How many of you have ever
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: wanted something really badly and you want it at a
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: particular time and it didn't happen, so you assumed because
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: it was delayed, it was denied. How many of you
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: have ever felt that way? I know I have, I
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: know the majority of people have. But if that's the
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: way you use your thought process, it proves that what
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: I'm saying is true because the moment you change the
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: way you think, you change everything.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: Because it's delayed doesn't mean it's denied.
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: Because you don't believe something to be So it's the
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: very care of the possibility of it happened, and it
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: gets down to the real basis.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: Of what faith is.
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: Faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: I don't need a lot of faith to walk to
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: the bathroom.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: I just don't. I just say, man, I gotta go
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: to the bathroom, and I get up in a walk
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: over there. It doesn't require faith for me.
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: But if I decide to set up a goal that
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: for to gain attention for my foundation or to gain
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: attention to a cause. And I make the announcement on Facebook,
- 1:28:25Speaker 6: Steve Harvey is going to walk from Atlanta, Georgia to Cleveland, Ohio.
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: A lot of people gonna get cameras out. I won't
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: go see this hill because you know why. That ain't regular.
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: That ain't nothing I've ever done before. They ain't nothing
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: I can see. So that would require faith, wouldn't it?
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: Would It would require faith for a person to say

- 1:29:07Speaker 2: But listen to me.
- 1:29:09Speaker 6: Everything starts from the basis of your belief. Get back
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: to believing. I believe that gonna be the best year
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: of my life. I expect that. I am looking for it,
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: I am watchful for it. I'm paying close attention to
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: everything I'm saying to God so far because I have
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: claimed a.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: Victory for myself.

- 1:30:03Speaker 6: I've been begging them to come to me and sit
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: down with their vision list, because I tell everybody, and
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: this person's really close to me, and they've yet to
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: come and sit with me.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: But they keep wandering around aimlessly in their life.
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: And I watch them time after time after time, thing
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: not go right, thing not go right, and they keep
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: telling me about it.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: And all I said to them was come and sit
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: with me with your vision list, your dream board. They
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: still ain't made one. Well, maybe if they would start
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: believing that that system works, maybe they could change something.
