- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth turn. I probably got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn the mouth turn the water of the mony
- 1:48Speaker 1: UPO me.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Come come out, you think, Uh? I sure will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 6: morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 7: You are listening to the voice one and only Steve
- 2:08Speaker 7: Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 8: Come on, y'all.
- 2:12Speaker 7: I said that a little bit wrong this morning. But
- 2:14Speaker 7: I'm tired. I just came out to gym. I'm a
- 2:16Speaker 7: little out of sorts right now, but it's okay. I'll
- 2:20Speaker 7: pull it together. But let me tell you something, man,
- 2:22Speaker 7: I got a clear cut message for you today.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I really do you know.
- 2:27Speaker 7: As I've gotten older, I've began to take some supplements.
- 2:35Speaker 7: And supplements are to help your body in things that
- 2:41Speaker 7: it doesn't produce as much as it used to. Supplements
- 2:49Speaker 7: are designed to help you replenish what's been depleted in
- 2:56Speaker 7: your body.
- 2:58Speaker 6: As supplements.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Now now people can tell you can speak a lot
- 3:04Speaker 7: more aggressively and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject,
- 3:07Speaker 7: but just giving you just a brief overview of my
- 3:10Speaker 7: understanding of it. Now, if you've been living your life
- 3:16Speaker 7: for a while, supplements are necessary for most of us.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Now.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Also, if you've.
- 3:28Speaker 7: Been living your life for a while spiritually, you may
- 3:36Speaker 7: need some supplements because you've just been at it for
- 3:40Speaker 7: a while. You done got wolled down a little bit.
- 3:45Speaker 7: You're tied some people around you, ain't changing. Some people
- 3:49Speaker 7: around you draining. It's just life just keeps on coming.
- 3:54Speaker 7: Life don't ever get no easier. It just you become
- 3:57Speaker 7: more knowledgeable about how to handle it. It does not
- 4:01Speaker 7: get any either easier. You continue to lose love ones,
- 4:05Speaker 7: you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just
- 4:08Speaker 7: that over course of time you become experienced and you
- 4:11Speaker 7: can handle them better. But life don't get no easier.
- 4:17Speaker 7: But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well,
- 4:21Speaker 7: you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna
- 4:25Speaker 7: flat out tell you, the more God that you can
- 4:31Speaker 7: replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that
- 4:37Speaker 7: you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the
- 4:43Speaker 7: possibilities then become limitless.
- 4:49Speaker 6: You actually have the ability to make a.
- 4:52Speaker 7: Conscious decision to supplement your body, and you have a
- 4:57Speaker 7: conscious decision to supplement your spirit. You can do both.
- 5:03Speaker 7: So what I did was I could just tell you
- 5:06Speaker 7: what I did. I was taking all these supplements. I
- 5:09Speaker 7: started taking supplements when I was about forty five. I
- 5:12Speaker 7: think that's when I began. I was thinking about it
- 5:16Speaker 7: one day and I just went, wow, Man. I started
- 5:20Speaker 7: talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I needed
- 5:22Speaker 7: these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing myself too.
- 5:26Speaker 7: I started praying some more. I started trying to gain
- 5:30Speaker 7: a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and understanding from
- 5:33Speaker 7: scriptures and just try to make sense of all of it,
- 5:38Speaker 7: you know, just make a little bit more sense out
- 5:40Speaker 7: of my life, make sure that I was on the
- 5:43Speaker 7: right path. As a matter of fact, get on the
- 5:45Speaker 7: right path, find out my real purpose and my mission
- 5:49Speaker 7: in life. And nobody can do that for you. That's
- 5:51Speaker 7: something that you have to want to do. But I
- 5:54Speaker 7: started supplementing my spiritual side of my life and supplementing
- 5:58Speaker 7: my body. Now I happen to be right now about
- 6:03Speaker 7: in the best shape I've ever been in. Technically, I
- 6:08Speaker 7: can assure you, though I am in the best shape
- 6:11Speaker 7: spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body has
- 6:15Speaker 7: looked better, it really has. I mean, come on now,
- 6:20Speaker 7: and where I am in life, at the stage with
- 6:22Speaker 7: the years I've been walking this earth, Man, I'm cool,
- 6:27Speaker 7: But spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.
- 6:31Speaker 7: And what has done for me, y'all is it's gave
- 6:34Speaker 7: me a peace and a calmness. You know it used
- 6:36Speaker 7: to be, man, I used to fight so hard against
- 6:39Speaker 7: people who attack me. Now, Man, it ain't that serious
- 6:43Speaker 7: to me because now I have a full understanding that
- 6:46Speaker 7: if I come under attack, that God is with me,
- 6:50Speaker 7: because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen.
- 6:55Speaker 7: That's any weapon formed against you, any weapon formed against you,
- 7:00Speaker 7: you shall not prosper. You can't. You can't come and
- 7:03Speaker 7: get me. I'm not here for you to take down
- 7:07Speaker 7: because you didn't put me here. So why would I
- 7:11Speaker 7: feel a person bringing me down when they're not the
- 7:14Speaker 7: reason that I'm here. So when you attack me, you
- 7:18Speaker 7: have to be careful because I ain't ever by myself.
- 7:23Speaker 7: I formed a relationship with the most High that I
- 7:27Speaker 7: can rely on for protection, for coverage, and for peace.
- 7:31Speaker 7: A lot of times when things used to stress me out,
- 7:35Speaker 7: how to run this, how to handle.
- 7:37Speaker 6: This, how to deal with that?
- 7:38Speaker 7: You know, fame is rough man, And then you put
- 7:41Speaker 7: that together with some business, and you put that together
- 7:43Speaker 7: with your family. You got a lot of stuff you're
- 7:45Speaker 7: trying to tend to. I have a peace of mind
- 7:48Speaker 7: about it now because I have someone who provides me
- 7:53Speaker 7: with a sense of understanding and calmness that lets me
- 7:57Speaker 7: know that this too shall pass. That it ain't just
- 8:00Speaker 7: a saying that I heard old people say that. It
- 8:03Speaker 7: ain't just something my mama used to tell me. It's
- 8:06Speaker 7: something that can really happen once you get in understanding,
- 8:09Speaker 7: this too shall pass. This is just another piece of
- 8:13Speaker 7: life that you are now better equipped to handle. I'm
- 8:17Speaker 7: telling you what's done for me. Millions of people out
- 8:20Speaker 7: there hear me. Man has done the same thing for them.
- 8:25Speaker 7: I'm telling it new to some people, but it's some
- 8:27Speaker 7: people that show enough understand what I'm saying. And then
- 8:30Speaker 7: if you have known this but kind of forgot it,
- 8:33Speaker 7: it's time for some supplements. So when you get like that,
- 8:38Speaker 7: and now you find yourself in a situation with a
- 8:41Speaker 7: disease or something, you gotta do something. Nah, you gotta
- 8:46Speaker 7: start juicing all your greens. You gotta start detoxing your body.
- 8:50Speaker 7: You gotta start purifying the system. See, the human body
- 8:53Speaker 7: has always had a way to repair itself if you
- 8:57Speaker 7: just give it a chance. Your mind has always had
- 9:01Speaker 7: a chance to repair itself if you give it a chance.
- 9:04Speaker 7: And your spirit always has a chance to repair itself
- 9:09Speaker 7: if you give it a chance. It's the only way
- 9:13Speaker 7: I can maintain at this level, and it's the only
- 9:16Speaker 7: way I have any.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Chance of going further.
- 9:19Speaker 7: I have to increase my dosage of spiritual supplements. I
- 9:25Speaker 7: got to talk to God a little bit more. I
- 9:28Speaker 7: got to pray a little bit more. I got to
- 9:31Speaker 7: understand his word a little bit more. That's all I'm
- 9:35Speaker 7: telling you. Man, If you do that, if you just
- 9:38Speaker 7: pray more, if you just studied a little bit more, Man,
- 9:42Speaker 7: just try to get and understanding, ask him to help
- 9:44Speaker 7: you understand. It will open up the possibilities of your
- 9:48Speaker 7: life into a realm you never could have imagined.
- 9:53Speaker 6: I'm telling you, that's real.
- 9:55Speaker 9: Okaying, show.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Wake up, wake up, rise and shine, give yourself that
- 10:05Speaker 2: stretch that morning, yoning, sit on the edge of the bed,
- 10:09Speaker 2: you think the man, and then you got to get up,
- 10:10Speaker 2: get out and get something. Let me say it right now.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Today is August the twenty fourth. Did you hear what
- 10:17Speaker 2: I said? That is one year since my surgery and
- 10:21Speaker 2: I am chncer free.

- 11:14Speaker 9: I'm so glad to see you happy and everything, Tommy,
- 11:16Speaker 9: because it was for a minute there, you know, but
- 11:20Speaker 9: it was it was real scary.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You know that it was scary.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I know that.
- 11:26Speaker 2: You know what, as soon as something like that hits you,
- 11:28Speaker 2: you know what you got. You just got to turn
- 11:30Speaker 2: that positive note on and just turn it on and
- 11:32Speaker 2: just stay positive.
- 11:34Speaker 6: But it's hard.
- 11:35Speaker 2: It's hard, but you just got to stay and you've
- 11:36Speaker 2: got people around you that are being positive. That helps
- 11:39Speaker 2: out a lot.
- 11:40Speaker 1: What Yeah, I mean prayer prayer warriors. Sometimes it's easy
- 11:46Speaker 1: to said than done, you know. Yeah, Yeah, you're only humans,

- 11:59Speaker 6: Yes, what is my knucklehead getting ready to go to
- 12:02Speaker 6: go to school?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Hey, in school?
- 12:07Speaker 2: He can.
- 12:08Speaker 8: Yeah, you're gonna have you have You're really gonna have
- 12:11Speaker 8: to jump on Jordan.
- 12:12Speaker 6: I can see that you're gonna have to jump on. Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 1: His shoulders as white. Yeah, yeah, he's taller than you.
- 12:20Speaker 8: Huh.
- 12:22Speaker 10: They're talking about time that hold on. If O Steve
- 12:27Speaker 10: was here, he would say Johndan was taller than Tommy
- 12:29Speaker 10: when he was born.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, to answer your question.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But to answer your question, R Yeah, everybody had to

- 15:09Speaker 11: Well, yeah, I mean, I'm trying to see if it's
- 15:12Speaker 11: all right for uh, for me to take her out.

- 15:17Speaker 3: Hold up, hold up, holdo, tell about that. You You
- 15:21Speaker 3: were just sending you a new member to the church,

- 15:29Speaker 3: could take an out.
- 15:30Speaker 10: Man.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Well, I wasn't asking you.
- 15:32Speaker 12: I thought I had her phone number. I guess they
- 15:34Speaker 12: gave me your number by mistake. You know, that's my
- 15:37Speaker 12: reason for carl. I thought I was gonna get her.
- 15:39Speaker 12: I want to take her out, you know, maybe to
- 15:40Speaker 12: dinner or something.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Well, I'll be quite honest, me, I just came back
- 15:44Speaker 3: home from overseas, from fighting and everything. Man, And uh,
- 15:47Speaker 3: I mean, you know, my pops just passed away not
- 15:50Speaker 3: too long ago. And I ain't you know, I ain't
- 15:52Speaker 3: too keen on my mama going out with somebody. And besides,
- 15:56Speaker 3: you don't even sound like you. Hey, she in the sixties.
- 15:59Speaker 11: Man, you man, I'm thirty six.
- 16:02Speaker 3: The hell out of here. You how old man, I'm
- 16:04Speaker 3: thirty six, I'm thirty four. What is you doing? You
- 16:08Speaker 3: do realize my mom is pushing sixty right?
- 16:10Speaker 12: Well, you know what, man, I look at it like James, right, James,
- 16:14Speaker 12: I look at it like it's you know heyes, ain't
- 16:16Speaker 12: nothing but the number.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Man.
- 16:17Speaker 3: It wasn't your heart, man, and how you carry yourself?
- 16:19Speaker 3: You know? Yeah, but my mom Hey, hey, but my
- 16:22Speaker 3: mom ain't no cougar like that. And I know she
- 16:24Speaker 3: ain't coming after you right now. I remember telling me
- 16:27Speaker 3: that she tried some new things at this church. But
- 16:30Speaker 3: going out with some thirty thirty.
- 16:33Speaker 11: How are you you do a baby man like I'm thirty.
- 16:36Speaker 11: I'm thirty six.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Dude, Man, you like my brother or something. Man, ain't
- 16:40Speaker 3: nowhere in the world. My mama is gonna be danger
- 16:42Speaker 3: to Okay, okay, thank James. Let me tell this man.
- 16:44Speaker 12: First of all, I ain't even know if calling you.
- 16:46Speaker 12: Second of all, I'm calling to speak with her. I'm
- 16:48Speaker 12: not calling trying to get permission from you.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Ms. Burns is a grown woman. This brother would decided
- 16:54Speaker 3: whoa whoa whoa talking about that? I don't think you
- 16:56Speaker 3: heard it, man, I just came back from fighting over see.
- 16:59Speaker 3: My pops passed way not too long ago. I am
- 17:02Speaker 3: the man at the house. Let's get that straight right now.
- 17:04Speaker 3: All right, I don't care if I'm still living at
- 17:06Speaker 3: home or not. I'm the man of this house, all right.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You calling to ask my mama on a date. Yeah,
- 17:12Speaker 3: you might as well just stick the church dog, because
- 17:14Speaker 3: you know, as I said, be blessed, But it ain't
- 17:17Speaker 3: gonna be no blessing from me to you. I tell
- 17:20Speaker 3: you that right now. Okay, I'm not looking for a
- 17:22Speaker 3: blessing from you at all. Bro.
- 17:25Speaker 11: You might now blessed, but I respect the fact that
- 17:29Speaker 11: you've been overseas and you've been fighting for this country. Okay,
- 17:32Speaker 11: But if I decide I want to speak to miss
- 17:34Speaker 11: Burns about going out, I think Miss Burns has every
- 17:36Speaker 11: right to decide if she would like to go out.
- 17:39Speaker 3: With Gordon or not. And Gordon wants to take her out,
- 17:42Speaker 3: I took her up. Hold up, look, brother, I don't
- 17:45Speaker 3: care how old you say you are, all right, number one,
- 17:48Speaker 3: you're too young. As I already mentioned. All right, this
- 17:51Speaker 3: ain't going down with you and my mom. I'm straight up, hey, man,
- 17:55Speaker 3: that's for your mama to decide. No, no, no, you
- 17:58Speaker 3: bringing up my mama. You letting the word your mama,
- 18:01Speaker 3: come out your mouth again. That's gonna get you up,
- 18:03Speaker 3: all right. I don't know where you're from. I don't
- 18:06Speaker 3: give how old you are. I'm pretty thick. I know
- 18:09Speaker 3: what church my mama go to, and it ain't gonna
- 18:11Speaker 3: be her and you you ain't gonna be asking her out,
- 18:14Speaker 3: all right. I don't give what it take. I would
- 18:17Speaker 3: show up on Sunday, catch up in the pul pit
- 18:21Speaker 3: or wherever you're gonna be sitting in the back and
- 18:23Speaker 3: the choir.
- 18:23Speaker 5: It don't matter.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Something is going down. You wire not gonna get with
- 18:27Speaker 3: my mama like that. You got that.
- 18:28Speaker 12: That's something for your mama to decide. If your mama
- 18:30Speaker 12: want to go out with me to have dinner. I
- 18:32Speaker 12: ain't nothing wrong with.
- 18:33Speaker 3: This, man, I'm deciding it right now. It ain't gonna happen.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I told you before, be blessed or get your whoop.
- 18:41Speaker 3: You got two choices, all right. I didn't fight for
- 18:44Speaker 3: to see three years to come back and also deal

- 39:48Speaker 9: wise decision. So here's a question for you, guys. Where

- 53:24Speaker 1: What does he have in there? I wonder we'll find out, Yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 1: find out by a jams By.
- 53:33Speaker 9: His playlist is going to break us up. That's the

- 54:00Speaker 9: the air, just like we're going to read this one
- 54:02Speaker 9: right here, right now, and you never know, you never know.

- 54:07Speaker 6: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 54:09Speaker 6: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry LETTO.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Thank you, nephews. Subject. His playlist is going to break
- 54:16Speaker 1: us up.
- 54:18Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a hip hop head till the
- 54:21Speaker 9: day I die, but I am married to a diehard
- 54:23Speaker 9: lover of rap music, and I swear it's going to
- 54:26Speaker 9: end our marriage. We have a long standing history of
- 54:30Speaker 9: beefing over our choice of music. His playlist is all
- 54:34Speaker 9: over the place. At first, it was techno music when
- 54:36Speaker 9: we started dating, and then he switched it up and
- 54:39Speaker 9: only listened to house music. I'm from Chicago, so I
- 54:43Speaker 9: could get with that, but it's like, once he's onto something,
- 54:46Speaker 9: that's all he plays. Over the years, I've tried to
- 54:49Speaker 9: explain to him that hip hop has been consistent and
- 54:52Speaker 9: has gotten him through all the phases of his forty
- 54:55Speaker 9: nine year lifespan.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Yes, we actually argue about mus to this day.
- 55:01Speaker 9: I can be listening to ll Coolja and he will
- 55:04Speaker 9: start blasting his ratchet rap music from the bedroom. If
- 55:07Speaker 9: we're in the car, he takes the auxiliary chord so
- 55:11Speaker 9: he can play his playlist of rappers whose names he
- 55:15Speaker 9: can't even pronounce.
- 55:16Speaker 1: This is cy I know, this is I know.
- 55:19Speaker 12: I know.
- 55:20Speaker 9: He says it's the beats that he needs when he's driving,
- 55:23Speaker 9: But if I'm driving, it makes me more aggressive.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I can't do all the vulgar language and nonsense lyrics.
- 55:30Speaker 1: When Salt and Pepper are rhyming, I think back to
- 55:32Speaker 1: where I was when I heard the song, and it
- 55:34Speaker 1: makes me happy inside. He agreed that his rap lyrics
- 55:38Speaker 1: make him more aggressive in the gym, and that's what
- 55:40Speaker 1: he needs at the time. Okay, so leave it in
- 55:43Speaker 1: the gym then, But no, he has to blast it
- 55:47Speaker 1: when he's mowing the yard so all of the neighbors
- 55:51Speaker 1: know where the black people live. I'm hoping this man
- 55:55Speaker 1: grows up and returns to his roots of classic hip hop.
- 55:58Speaker 1: We both turn fifteen Anuary and we want to have
- 56:01Speaker 1: a house party, but I don't know how we will
- 56:03Speaker 1: make it if make it work, if we don't compromise. Again.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I know it's silly to be divided on music, but
- 56:10Speaker 1: this is serious. How can I get him to change
- 56:13Speaker 1: it up?
- 56:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 56:13Speaker 1: This is real silly. This is this is real silly.
- 56:18Speaker 9: And before we get into my response, gotta say happy
- 56:21Speaker 9: fiftieth anniversary to hip hop.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Okay, gotta get that. Of course he's more important to
- 56:26Speaker 1: hip hop, is Yeah, happy, you know, But yes, ma'am,
- 56:31Speaker 1: this is a very serious, silly thing. This is not
- 56:34Speaker 1: serious at all to think that you could injure marriage,
- 56:39Speaker 1: you could break up over some music. It's music.
- 56:42Speaker 9: Music is supposed to bring people together. It's the universal language.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Just because you're married, you don't have to listen to
- 56:49Speaker 1: the same type of music that he listens to.
- 56:53Speaker 9: And okay, I'll give you this one. Playing it too
- 56:56Speaker 9: loud in the neighborhood, Okay, where you might disturb neighbors
- 57:00Speaker 9: and all that.
- 57:01Speaker 1: I got that. I'm with you on that one, because
- 57:04Speaker 1: that one's kind of rude. But but where are your
- 57:06Speaker 1: ear pods? Where are your headphones?
- 57:08Speaker 9: This is an easy problem that can be fixed, just
- 57:12Speaker 9: listen to your your stuff without disturbing others on your
- 57:15Speaker 9: ear pods.
- 57:16Speaker 1: This is such a fixable problem. Please don't try to
- 57:19Speaker 1: use this as an excuse for divorce.
- 57:21Speaker 6: Hearing the white people, Yeah, that's.
- 57:24Speaker 9: The only problem, only only thing. I agree with her
- 57:26Speaker 9: in this entire letter, And please stop trying to change him.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You know you can only fix yourself. This is just crazy,
- 57:34Speaker 1: this letter, Tommy, what you got.
- 57:38Speaker 2: First and foremost? This is stupid, But that's okay. I
- 57:41Speaker 2: deal with stupid all the time. Y'all getting ready to
- 57:45Speaker 2: turn fifty, but y'all damn near just as old as
- 57:48Speaker 2: hip hop, and y'all y'all organs yes about it in
- 57:51Speaker 2: the same year.
- 57:54Speaker 6: And just k right. So I'm upset that y'all arguing
- 57:58Speaker 6: about some music.
- 57:59Speaker 2: But I just don't see this party going right if
- 58:03Speaker 2: the two of y'all are over the music, especially if
- 58:06Speaker 2: we start with that technos.
- 58:07Speaker 6: That techno drives me the hell crazy. But I do
- 58:11Speaker 6: have a solution for.
- 58:13Speaker 2: The fiftieth birthday party that's going down in January. I
- 58:17Speaker 2: think if you're letting me DJ the party, Lord, because car,
- 58:23Speaker 2: as soon as you walk in the door, I'm gonna
- 58:25Speaker 2: drop this one.
- 58:25Speaker 6: On you right here. As soon as you come in
- 58:27Speaker 6: and call her, I'm finna hit you with this hell
- 58:35Speaker 6: what what?
- 58:37Speaker 3: What?
- 58:39Speaker 12: What?
- 58:40Speaker 6: But but so soon as soon as I as soon
- 58:42Speaker 6: as I.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Got you going with that call, I'm gonna keep you
- 58:44Speaker 2: going because I'm gonna mix it in with this right here.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Hey, they're breaking up. They dance.
- 58:58Speaker 6: You gotta do your puppy day.
- 59:01Speaker 2: As soon as you get your puppet dance off, Tommy
- 59:04Speaker 2: gonna come in there and mix this thing up again.
- 59:05Speaker 6: I got the house rocking down here right. Watch you
- 59:15Speaker 6: this how you do the fiftieth birthday party? Maybe just
- 59:17Speaker 6: like this?
- 59:18Speaker 1: I'm not mad.
- 59:20Speaker 6: You ain't man yet, You ain't man.
- 59:21Speaker 2: You ain't gonna be man, because guess what here I
- 59:23Speaker 2: come again, one, two three, into the foul Come on,
- 59:31Speaker 2: come on, nephew, tim the house party. It's nephew time,
- 59:36Speaker 2: house party. Three two one and here.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Lady on tour right now.
- 59:51Speaker 2: He just I ain't got much time. I ain't got
- 59:53Speaker 2: much time. Let me mix a couple of moments one,
- 59:54Speaker 2: two and three.
- 59:55Speaker 6: What you got? Oh?
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I think it is.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Purts some new voting power.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: That's the way your fifty birthday part is supposed to
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: be just like that.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Five. Hopefully we can save this marriage. If you DJ,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: we have more for you.
- 1:00:25Speaker 9: We have part two coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: after the hour. The subject of today's Strawberry letter his
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: playlist is going to break us up. We'll get back
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: into it right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are. Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: The subject is his playlist is going to break us up.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: This is from a woman who's forty nine years old. Okay,
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: she's married to a man. She's a hip hop head,
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: she says until the day she dies. Happy fiftieth anniversary
- 1:00:58Speaker 9: to hip hop, by the way, But but she's married,
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: she says, to a dieheart lover of rap, and she
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: thinks that's going to end their marriage because she loves
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: hip hop and he loves rap. They have a long
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: standing history of beefing, beefing over their choice of music.
- 1:01:14Speaker 9: She says she's mad because his playlist is all over
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: the place. Uh, he was in the techno at one time,
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: he was in the house music. She's from Chicago, so
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: she doesn't mind the house music. But over the years
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: she she uh has huh would you say, Tommy.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: I'll say, with that damn techno, you're with her techno?
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: Man, I'm with her on that techno.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I'm from Chicago, so I love house. Yeah, I love
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: house right uh uh?
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: She says one day she was grooving to a little
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: ll cool Jay and then here he comes, you know,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: with all of his stuff. So they're beefing because of music.
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: And she's seriously thinking about breaking this marriage up because
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: she doesn't like his choice of music and she wants
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: him to change.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: She says his music makes her more aggressive.
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: And when he's out in the yard mowing the lawn,
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: he's got this loud music on, letting the neighbors know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: you know that where the black people live, because of
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: the music. And then meanwhile she wants to groove to
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: some Salt and Peppa and he's just not having it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: He's in the gym playing his loud music because it
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: makes him more aggressive. So they're just at odds over
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: their choice of music. Okay, hey to watch TV.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: BA Yeah, don't listen to what this is crazy. So
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: they're thinking about having a fiftieth birthday party because they
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: both turn fifty in January. They want to have a
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: house party, but she doesn't think it's going to go
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: well because they can't come to any sort of agreement
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: or compromise on this music.
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: She says, she knows it's silly to be divided on music,
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: but it's real serious to her, so she just asks,
- 1:02:55Speaker 9: how can she get him to.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Change it up? What do you say?
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: It's hard? Glow glow, Really, it's hard.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I like that though, a whole bunch of songs.
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: You know, city girls. You can't be listening to city girls, can't.
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: It's just hard, I understand. But we have got to
- 1:03:19Speaker 10: get him back to this house music.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: I'll tell you one thing. House music is a workout.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: That's what that is. Oh, them them songs is twelve
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: thirteen minutes of piece.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: That's perculator. Yeah, it's time for the calculator. You can't stop.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: You can't stop moving for nothing.
- 1:03:35Speaker 10: You don't lose weight to house music to be one
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: three Yeah, time for the everybody know, Hey, we got
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: to get him back there. But I'm with Tommy though,
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: Tommy should just DJ your party because these are songs
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: we all can agree with. See you listen to hip hop,
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: he listened to rap. They don't tell him what he
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: talking about. He may he may, he may pop out,
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: try to rob you. We don't know what he doing.
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: R yes, Charlie, just want the song. Hey, put your
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: hands up, break yourself. You an't know what's going on.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: He is right about that.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: It is.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: But hip hop about love and fun and what you
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: got on party? It's a party?
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: What else is on the playlist?
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: Time on my playlist?
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: This here?
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: What what.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: You? Yes?
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: Questions? That's all you do ask questions at party.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: But watch this though, three two one?
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: Uh to come on? Everybody getting along? Ain't nothing, ain't
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: no fight started, not nothing.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: You talk about the scrub and you want to eat
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: chicken wings while you're at the party, chicken something like
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: this right here?
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: Yeah, that's how.
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: That's how you and I'm looking across the room at
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: the same time. Did you just suck your over there
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: in the.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Strictly you don't play a round?
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: Where's the fight at?
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: But they can't you know this husband and wife can't
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: get along.
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: Though, because he's playing rap music. I think he's.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Confusing the meanings. Hip Hop is a lifestyle. Rap is
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: a form of of of music, So I think they
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: can work this side that.
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: Big yeah, and all your artists you listen to it
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: twenty five you can't do it.
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: I think everybody need their own head sets. That's what
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: I think.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: It's like what else on playing the time? Because this
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: this is dude, this is party.
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Give me one moment, man, give me one walk then
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: see right here, come.
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: On, see right now, I have to walk across the
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: room and talk to the girl. I was just eating
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: the wing off.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I'm talking to her now, slowing down.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: I'm on the east Side. I'm from the east side.
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: Your name is what not?
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Yeah?

- 1:15:37Speaker 9: police officer approached and told her he had found her son, Quantavius,
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: urinating behind her car. Latania said her son didn't think
- 1:15:45Speaker 9: there was a restroom inside the office and chose to
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: go outside. The first officer intended to give Quantavius a warning,
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: but when several other officers arrived, a lieutenant said the

- 1:20:33Speaker 9: wants some advice. This is from Tangi. She says, I
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: love my husband very much and I have never doubted
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: his love for me. But one thing that he consistently
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: does that irritates me to no end is always forgetting
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: important milestones. And the ten years we've been together, he
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: has forgotten my birthday like seven times, and every year
- 1:20:54Speaker 9: on our anniversary he rushes out to get something for
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: me after I've told him happy versary and give him
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: my gift. He's been running his own business since he
- 1:21:04Speaker 9: was just out of college and never misses an important meeting.
- 1:21:08Speaker 9: But he just can't, you know, seem to remember these
- 1:21:11Speaker 9: important days in our marriage.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: So what should I do?
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: It's not good before that's that's not good. I mean,
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: you're supposed to be You're supposed to be a priority
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: to your man. He's supposed to know, he's supposed to
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: know everything. He's supposed to know, your your your birthday,
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: the y'all's anniversary, the day y'all moved in your special home,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: all this stuff. Certain days that y'all. That's supposed to
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: be just etched in your head that you just don't forget.
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: You just don't. You're just not supposed to. I don't
- 1:21:43Speaker 6: like what I'm hearing.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I like what I'm hearing.
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: I'm sorry, Am I am? I ready to little bit.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Like what I'm hearing.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: Certain days you're supposed to remember, and so your man,
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: you're not in his prior hearties. You know you are
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: not a priority to him when it comes to that.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: So you gotta and you keep telling him about it.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: But this didn't happened at least seven years. Get out
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: of here.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: You've been married, Yeah, well that Yeah, they've been together
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: for ten years.
- 1:22:12Speaker 8: And he forgot seven years of your birthday. Your birthday though, Yeah,
- 1:22:18Speaker 8: come on, birth come on, yeah, come on.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: What she got to do a better job of herminding him.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: She got a phone, she gotta counted down my birthday.
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: And we got to do that. You gotta do it.
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: Remember is tosh birthday, Carlos, What is Tosh birthday?
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: November twenty eight?
- 1:22:37Speaker 8: Wow, you didn't need to remind her from a woman, Yeah,
- 1:22:42Speaker 8: don't matter.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: But let me tell you, my husband, If I say
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: when is our anniversary, it'll be like to day we
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: got married. That's a fat and that is the truth.
- 1:22:55Speaker 12: That is it.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: The day we got it wasn't all.
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: But he knows that.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: He knows now. But now think that's the reason to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: get a divorce.
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: I think that's.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: For a divorce. But he definitely needs to do better.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I'm with Tommy and this, so he definitely.
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: Needs So you mean, tell me you want year as
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: it is?
- 1:23:19Speaker 10: It's today, God, God.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna do something. We're gonna do something.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: We're gonna, we're gonna. I'm gonna, you know what, let's go,
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: we'll go out tonight, we'll go to out of guard.
- 1:23:39Speaker 6: We're gonna do something.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 1:23:44Speaker 9: But every year he promises to be better the next year,
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: and she says, nothing has changed, nothing has changed.
- 1:23:52Speaker 8: Yeah, gotta, but.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: She said, he meant. He goes to every meeting at
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: his business. He always shows up for that. He remembers.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Is that And so tell me it's like you said,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: she's not a priority. He's not treating her as if
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: she's a priority. First, her is not a priority to him.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Those dates aren't important.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: So she needs to Well, let me tell you what
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: date is important. Okay, what is that today's date? August
