- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milling bu bu things and it's not true.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve to the mother star, don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn. You got a turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn got to turn out to turn turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water. Come come on your thing. H huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But come on dig me now, one and only Steve
- 2:08Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Well, I gotta tell you something, everybody,
- 2:15Speaker 1: And this is great news for everybody that I'm or
- 2:20Speaker 1: share something with your principle of becoming successful at whatever
- 2:26Speaker 1: level you choose. It can be successful in the relationship,
- 2:31Speaker 1: successful in the family. Successes may be considered to you
- 2:35Speaker 1: becoming a homeowner. It could be being dead free. Your
- 2:41Speaker 1: ideal success could be sixty thousand a year, fifty thousand
- 2:45Speaker 1: a year, one hundred thousand dollars a year, doesn't matter
- 2:49Speaker 1: if you're considering it, if you're wanting it, if you
- 2:53Speaker 1: have a desire to become successful. I want to share
- 2:57Speaker 1: with you the very beginning of that. If no one's
- 3:01Speaker 1: ever done it. I'm going to say the beginning of
- 3:03Speaker 1: it today. See scripture makes it very clear for us
- 3:11Speaker 1: you don't The only thing you need to become successful
- 3:15Speaker 1: is already inside of you. It's not an external need.
- 3:20Speaker 1: God wouldn't do that to you. He puts the core
- 3:24Speaker 1: basis of everything you need inside of you. So if
- 3:29Speaker 1: you discover it, if you tend to it, nurture it,
- 3:35Speaker 1: fertilize it, and water it, it grows, it branches out.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Then it reaches out externally and it starts grabbing things
- 3:43Speaker 1: outside of there to make it even bigger, stronger, better,
- 3:46Speaker 1: last longer. But in the very beginning, you don't need anything.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's all within you. And if you cultivate your relationship
- 3:56Speaker 1: with God, it comes out, it flourishes. Now, let me
- 4:01Speaker 1: tell you that thing that I'm talking about is a
- 4:04Speaker 1: God given gift that He has given to all of us.
- 4:07Speaker 1: We all possess it. It is all within us, and
- 4:12Speaker 1: everybody has a gift. Had somebody told me what I
- 4:16Speaker 1: know now back then, I would have saved myself tons
- 4:19Speaker 1: of mistakes. I just didn't know the principles. I had
- 4:21Speaker 1: to learn them all well. One of the principles of
- 4:24Speaker 1: becoming successful is your mind set. You got to get
- 4:29Speaker 1: your mind right now. This mindset is simply a decision
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you can make. I can't get it for you.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I can tell you what to do, but you got
- 4:41Speaker 1: to make the decision. You that's listening, have to decide.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You know what, I'm gonna go on and get at it.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop writing. I'm gonna become a homeowner. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna stop living check
- 4:51Speaker 1: to check. I'm I'm gonna put a budget together. I'm
- 4:56Speaker 1: gonna stop stepping out on my family. I'm gonna go home.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it together. I'm gonna stop using you
- 5:05Speaker 1: when you make these decisions. That's correcting your mindset. Now.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The closer connection you have with God, the more help
- 5:12Speaker 1: you get sustaining the mindset. How many times have you
- 5:15Speaker 1: started to do something and you stopped? How many resolutions
- 5:19Speaker 1: have you made at the New Year and stop by February?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Over with by me at January? Done in March. Because
- 5:29Speaker 1: if you don't have a clear connection with your creator
- 5:32Speaker 1: to help you carry out the other force out there,
- 5:35Speaker 1: that evil force is designed to get you not to
- 5:38Speaker 1: reach your goals, get you not to come to resolution
- 5:42Speaker 1: with whatever the resolutions are you made, so he can
- 5:45Speaker 1: cons You can consider yourself not worthy or failure or
- 5:49Speaker 1: unable to do something. But the more things you are
- 5:52Speaker 1: able to accomplish, the greater your confidence goals grows. So
- 5:55Speaker 1: we got to get your mind set together. Your mindset
- 5:59Speaker 1: is a decision that you have to make. When you
- 6:01Speaker 1: make the decision, you can begin the process. Your mindset
- 6:05Speaker 1: is also a will of yours, a will along with
- 6:09Speaker 1: the decision, a will, a willingness to do right, a
- 6:15Speaker 1: willingness to change, a willingness to be better. It's going
- 6:20Speaker 1: to then cause you to have to make a decision
- 6:24Speaker 1: to make a change of direction. Don't go where everybody
- 6:27Speaker 1: else going. You got to go your way now. You
- 6:30Speaker 1: can't follow the crowd. You got to take a less
- 6:32Speaker 1: travel path. You cannot do this without changing your direction.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You can't keep hanging with the people you've been hanging
- 6:40Speaker 1: with if you want to be different because they're not.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Then you have to develop an obligation to yourself. You've
- 6:49Speaker 1: got to say, you know what for me and my family,
- 6:53Speaker 1: or if you don't have a family for me, I
- 6:55Speaker 1: owe it to myself. I have an obligation to myself
- 6:58Speaker 1: to be the best meeting I can possibly be, to
- 7:02Speaker 1: be the best self that I can possibly be, to
- 7:06Speaker 1: be the best father, the best man, the best husband,
- 7:10Speaker 1: the best wife, the best mother, the best daughter, the
- 7:14Speaker 1: best son, the best student, the best employ ye, the
- 7:17Speaker 1: best owner. You have an obligation to yourself to give
- 7:22Speaker 1: yourself a shot at the best life you can. That's
- 7:25Speaker 1: an obligation. You owe that to yourself. Why would you
- 7:29Speaker 1: not live the best life that you possibly could. You
- 7:32Speaker 1: have an obligation to yourself. Why would you teat yourself
- 7:36Speaker 1: like that? Why would you take yourself and never allow
- 7:40Speaker 1: yourself to see the goodness that's already in you, to
- 7:44Speaker 1: have the abundance that's been promised to you, to go
- 7:47Speaker 1: and explore all the riches out there that's available to you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And but one of the worst ways that you can
- 7:59Speaker 1: rob yourself off of the joy of your obligation is
- 8:02Speaker 1: to keep comparing yourself to somebody else. Because guess what, Man,
- 8:05Speaker 1: that ain't your life. You ain't jay Z and Beyonce,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you're not You're not open Instead, man, that's not who
- 8:13Speaker 1: you are. Quit looking around at everybody else. That comparison
- 8:19Speaker 1: of everybody else to keep you broken, it to keep
- 8:21Speaker 1: you unhappy. You won't even be able to be grateful
- 8:24Speaker 1: for what you have because you steady talking about what
- 8:26Speaker 1: you don't have. That's not the way, man. You have
- 8:30Speaker 1: an obligation to yourself to be the best you you
- 8:33Speaker 1: can be, not the best them. You're not them. Stop
- 8:36Speaker 1: trying to be them. Be the best you. It's cool.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You got a nice little house. That's cool. You know
- 8:43Speaker 1: how many big houses is empty and feel with hate
- 8:46Speaker 1: and resentment. I'd rather have a smaller house feel with
- 8:50Speaker 1: joy in it than to go to a big house.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Man Prince got a line in a song that says,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I realized in its best disguise, or pretty house don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: make a home. Man. Don't you know I know how
- 9:05Speaker 1: true that is? So I'm just trying to tell you now.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Another part of the mindset is taking dead aim at
- 9:16Speaker 1: your life's goals and ambitions. What are they? What are
- 9:20Speaker 1: your goals and your visions? What do you see for yourself?
- 9:24Speaker 1: What do you dream about? If you knew you couldn't
- 9:27Speaker 1: fail at whatever it is you were attempting, what would
- 9:29Speaker 1: you go attempting? See? That's what we need to be
- 9:32Speaker 1: after It's a mindset, y'all. It's a decision. It's a will,
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's a change of direction. It's an obligation to yourself.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's taking dead aim at your life's visions and goals.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Come on, man, you got to get your mind wrapped
- 9:47Speaker 1: around this thing. You owe it to yourself to live
- 9:50Speaker 1: the best life you can be. Come on, man, talk
- 9:53Speaker 1: to God. God got something for you. You just gotta
- 9:55Speaker 1: check in with him. You're listening tow ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: boys and girls, monkey trainers, pet walkers, fish keepers, hunters,
- 10:14Speaker 1: trapeze artists, strippers, taxi drivers. That's mad at uber drivers,
- 10:22Speaker 1: uber drivers that wanted to be taxi drivers, sears, delivery
- 10:28Speaker 1: truck people, Walmart employees, and anybody that's trying to get
- 10:37Speaker 1: a vaccine. This show is dedicated to you, Steve Harvey,

- 13:48Speaker 1: the CLO. Let's go, Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. This
- 13:52Speaker 1: one is from Mario in Camden, New Jersey. Mario says,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm a six two brother and I'm a bit overweight,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but I've been trying to eat better and work out.
- 14:02Speaker 1: To Mario, I met a female on a dating site
- 14:06Speaker 1: and she's five seven and curvy, so I was comfortable
- 14:10Speaker 1: enough to tell her how much I weigh. She got
- 14:13Speaker 1: turned off immediately and said I was too big. She
- 14:16Speaker 1: says she doesn't date fat man and told me to
- 14:18Speaker 1: lose her number. Surely she knows that she's overweight too.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I tried to be polite, but she's really pretty. But
- 14:27Speaker 1: should I call her back and hurt her feelings like
- 14:29Speaker 1: she hurt mine? No? No, don't. What's what's that gonna do?
- 14:34Speaker 1: You know you liked her, she didn't like you. That's
- 14:37Speaker 1: that's that's how it worked, the only way of some
- 14:39Speaker 1: matches if y'all like each other. Yeah, you like to
- 14:42Speaker 1: weight on her. She ain't liked to weight on you.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Now you said you're six two and overweight? How much
- 14:46Speaker 1: do you wake up? How much you thank you? Way
- 14:48Speaker 1: to me? All right, that didn't make the letter. I couldn't.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That didn't there. Okay, you're fat ass. She don't like
- 14:54Speaker 1: fat ass, But he says she five seven, a curvy,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but she It's different on women. Women look, women carry,
- 15:02Speaker 1: they wait different. A lot of women look good with
- 15:04Speaker 1: them courage. You know, she got that swag and then
- 15:07Speaker 1: he said she is you know, he never said she
- 15:09Speaker 1: never said you was handsome, you know. So you see, see,
- 15:14Speaker 1: women have a lot of stuff working for them. You know.
- 15:16Speaker 1: If a woman keep ourselves up and dress right and
- 15:19Speaker 1: wear her stuff good, a woman can have some weight
- 15:21Speaker 1: on hu me and be all okay with that. Boy.
- 15:24Speaker 1: You can't take your fat ass out here. Shoes ain't right. Head,
- 15:27Speaker 1: ain't gonna watch on clothes hanging off to watch. No, dude, man,
- 15:33Speaker 1: women look at all that mass right there, and I
- 15:36Speaker 1: can't fix off. You too far from fixing? Go here?
- 15:38Speaker 1: You all right? Ricky? Ricky, and I heard radio listener says,
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm twenty five. My boyfriend and I have dated since
- 15:47Speaker 1: high school. My parents used to like him, but now
- 15:50Speaker 1: they think I can do better. I'm a licensed lashing
- 15:54Speaker 1: eyebrow tech and I make great money. My boyfriend is
- 15:57Speaker 1: a bartender, but business has been slaughter, so I let
- 16:01Speaker 1: him move in with me temporarily. My mom, my mom,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and dad said that living together is unacceptable, and I'm
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm dating a boy, not a man. I want to
- 16:10Speaker 1: support this man until he gets back on his feet.
- 16:12Speaker 1: He would be he would do the same for me,
- 16:15Speaker 1: And why can't my parents see this? Well, here's why
- 16:18Speaker 1: your parents are looking at you. Said, you're a lash
- 16:21Speaker 1: and nail lady, and you're doing real well and stuff
- 16:24Speaker 1: in your business. He had just here bartender, and obviously
- 16:27Speaker 1: since y'all been dating, says high school, maybe he ain't
- 16:30Speaker 1: tried to improve himself. That If your parents is looking
- 16:32Speaker 1: at no upward mobility, no promising future for their child,
- 16:37Speaker 1: of course they're gonna buck the system. Now bartend is slow.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Now he'd have moved in with you. I mean, damn
- 16:44Speaker 1: that's so so your response to it's going hard is
- 16:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna go in and move in on this woman,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and your parents see that they're not gonna be okay
- 16:52Speaker 1: with that, and you can't expect them too. He would
- 16:55Speaker 1: do the same for you, really really, Oh but even
- 16:59Speaker 1: if he did it, would you want too? Though? Right?
- 17:03Speaker 1: So's where he staying on the money? He may see?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Would you want to stay there? Would you just going
- 17:07Speaker 1: back to your mama? You see what I'm saying? Spoken
- 17:11Speaker 1: like a true parent. Tu Clo td and Cincinnati says,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm forty six and I've been dating a forty four
- 17:17Speaker 1: year old lady for about five months, and we have
- 17:20Speaker 1: had more sex in that short time than I've had
- 17:25Speaker 1: in my life. Yes, he says, I'm worn out and
- 17:30Speaker 1: tired all of the time from the constant intimacy. I've
- 17:34Speaker 1: started making up excuses to keep her from coming over
- 17:37Speaker 1: because it's hard for me to get excited. Now. Is
- 17:40Speaker 1: there such a thing as getting bored with great sex?
- 17:43Speaker 1: I'm thinking of seeing a doctor, but I wanted to
- 17:45Speaker 1: check in with you guys first. See you saying you're
- 17:52Speaker 1: not getting excited anymore? But you say, but then you
- 17:55Speaker 1: want to say it's great sex. It could be great sex,
- 18:00Speaker 1: but you don't have as high threshold for it as
- 18:02Speaker 1: she does. Maybe you're libete, Okay, handle this. Every day
- 18:06Speaker 1: she coming over, you hide and stuff y'all under the bed,
- 18:10Speaker 1: trying to cheat and treat her like she got his
- 18:12Speaker 1: nigget's pagers for sale at the dog five months. He's
- 18:18Speaker 1: had more sex in five months, and in his entire life,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I've never had that happened to going on. I ain't
- 18:27Speaker 1: never had a five month run at the top what
- 18:29Speaker 1: I did in my damn like okay, and I thank
- 18:32Speaker 1: the Lord for that. No, bro, you just saying no,
- 18:36Speaker 1: you ain't up, ain't don't need to go into the doctors.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And you're a moment dude. Yeah, dog, it's libido. Ain't
- 18:44Speaker 1: got nothing for you. Libido in there. Okay, I'm moving on.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Remy and Oxford, Mississippi says I'm thirty one and I
- 18:51Speaker 1: married a woman I dated only eight months. A few
- 18:54Speaker 1: days before Valentine's Day, we decided to get married on
- 18:57Speaker 1: Valentine's to Day at the courthouse. After our wedding, we
- 19:01Speaker 1: went to Hawaii for three days. We did not tell
- 19:03Speaker 1: anyone or big news until we got home. The news
- 19:06Speaker 1: spread quickly, and my ex girlfriend called me crying. We
- 19:10Speaker 1: had an on again, off again relationship, and the last
- 19:13Speaker 1: time we broke up, I moved on for good. She's
- 19:17Speaker 1: so hurt and I feel terrible. Do I owe her
- 19:20Speaker 1: an explanation? What should I do? Hey? Brother, man? What
- 19:25Speaker 1: in this explanation? What you're gonna say? Yeah, dog, don't
- 19:28Speaker 1: don't go ahead of this conversation, because nothing you're gonna
- 19:32Speaker 1: say gonna fix it for this girl. Secondly, you already
- 19:37Speaker 1: I feel so bad. Now you're gonna want to console her.
- 19:41Speaker 1: One thing gonna lead to the next. Yes, and now
- 19:44Speaker 1: next thing you know, she back over at your new
- 19:46Speaker 1: wife's house. I'm like he was over here last week
- 19:50Speaker 1: cousouling me. Boy, you don't owe nobody nothing. It was
- 19:55Speaker 1: done is done. Y'all own again, off again And that
- 19:59Speaker 1: just stands with me. I tell women all the time,
- 20:01Speaker 1: stop worrying about me and talking about we own again,
- 20:04Speaker 1: off again me, and don't do off Um. You will
- 20:07Speaker 1: say how long you take to get to Hawaii? They
- 20:10Speaker 1: came from Mississippi to Hawaii. That's about well, Mississippi. You
- 20:14Speaker 1: probably got cash about faux planes the Mississippi, you know,
- 20:19Speaker 1: I'm probam with you. Ain't a damn direct flight. I'm
- 20:21Speaker 1: trying to come back by the time they I don't
- 20:24Speaker 1: know that, but I bet it ain't a direct flight
- 20:26Speaker 1: out of Missippa. Thank you. Coming up next, the nephews
- 20:30Speaker 1: run that prank back right after this. You're listening to
- 20:35Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour trending

- 22:09Speaker 1: up between two and between two and three years ago,
- 22:11Speaker 1: you you bout to have my little girl and my son.
- 22:14Speaker 1: O God, I bless on that. I'm glad I was
- 22:16Speaker 1: able to do that service for I was wondering how
- 22:19Speaker 1: did you get my number? Usually anything like this usually
- 22:23Speaker 1: get handled with the church, you know, one of my
- 22:25Speaker 1: deacons or my secretary. But uh uh, you um call
- 22:30Speaker 1: the church and they gave you my number. Um, just
- 22:34Speaker 1: this guy at the church, let me see, his name
- 22:36Speaker 1: is oh Dobs brother, brother Dobs. Brother, brother Dob gave
- 22:41Speaker 1: you my phone number, my information, Brother Dobs. I got
- 22:45Speaker 1: this from brother Dogs that I you I could reach you.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Now you know him right, he's one of your deacons,
- 22:51Speaker 1: brother than I. That's a good man right there. I
- 22:54Speaker 1: know him many of years. Okay for him, my rooson
- 22:56Speaker 1: for wanting to talk to you directly. Okay, like I
- 23:00Speaker 1: that you baptized my little girl Tayling and my son Kareem.
- 23:03Speaker 1: What baptizing is supposed to be, you cleansing them, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: you're watching them because he probably hear my problems. You
- 23:12Speaker 1: baptize my kids, but there ain't nothing shamed. They grade
- 23:16Speaker 1: still bad. He still didn't obed. I don't see where
- 23:20Speaker 1: your back is not look, but if you don't tund him,
- 23:26Speaker 1: if you just let me. I don't see where your
- 23:28Speaker 1: baptizing has done anything. I don't know that I spent
- 23:32Speaker 1: when I was there. I want that money back now now,
- 23:36Speaker 1: oh now you coxcuse me. I'm not sure. I think
- 23:39Speaker 1: you know we need to stop this madness right now,
- 23:42Speaker 1: because you're talking about you money back baptime. I would
- 23:46Speaker 1: like with baptize your kids. I've been at this church
- 23:48Speaker 1: up for many years, so I won't doubt that I'm
- 23:51Speaker 1: probably the pastor you're looking for. But I just don't
- 23:56Speaker 1: understand what you're trying to get at here the baptism
- 23:58Speaker 1: did I'm I'm saying you're supposed to when when when
- 24:02Speaker 1: people get baptized, they're supposed to change them cleansing. Okay,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I see, yeah, it's cleans them. But well if my kids,
- 24:11Speaker 1: let me let me ask you. I'm just trying to brother,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I'm just just trying to get to the bottom of this,
- 24:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean, because she's like when we
- 24:17Speaker 1: gets I don't understand how you got my numbers. The
- 24:22Speaker 1: bottom of it is, yo, yo, baptizing ain't doing nothing.
- 24:26Speaker 1: My kids were still grades bad. They still this over you.
- 24:31Speaker 1: That why they haven't been come to church. You said
- 24:33Speaker 1: you're not going to any congregation. May but you guys
- 24:35Speaker 1: need to come on back to church sitting or some sermons.
- 24:38Speaker 1: You know. I even work with your one on one,
- 24:40Speaker 1: but um, I can't. I can't do nothing about the
- 24:44Speaker 1: grades in school. I mean and and and and overall
- 24:48Speaker 1: that when you when you have them, I should see
- 24:52Speaker 1: a change in them, and I don't see a change.
- 24:55Speaker 1: But all the time I was going to your church.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm paying for these tithes. Well I'm not getting any
- 25:01Speaker 1: hey man, at the end of the day, Past Henry,
- 25:03Speaker 1: I want my money back. That's what That's what we have.
- 25:06Speaker 1: That's brother David. That's not how it worked. Brother. You
- 25:09Speaker 1: hit you understand, I'm not. I'm not trying to raise
- 25:11Speaker 1: my voice at you. But you you all over you
- 25:13Speaker 1: want money back. I don't understand. What can I do
- 25:16Speaker 1: for you? I can tell you now, know you what
- 25:17Speaker 1: you can do. My kids and I have got a
- 25:20Speaker 1: baptized over there with you. All that time I was
- 25:22Speaker 1: going the church, I'm playing knee tis, playing knee tis,
- 25:25Speaker 1: playing knee time, and I getting my kids baptized. And
- 25:28Speaker 1: but the high just gonna have nothing to do with
- 25:30Speaker 1: the baptism. The time I had something to do with
- 25:33Speaker 1: all the path I spit over there, and I'm not
- 25:36Speaker 1: taking anything. And that's what you call in the world.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Am I gonna figure out how much cord you came?
- 25:43Speaker 1: I know you think about that. I know exactly. No, no, no, no,
- 25:47Speaker 1: you're hauling my home with this nonsense. You're not even
- 25:50Speaker 1: a number of congregation, and I just don't like it.
- 25:53Speaker 1: So who do you think your voice just because you're
- 25:58Speaker 1: gonna don't go you're a man of a tan. That's
- 26:01Speaker 1: because I'm a mamorized god. Don't mean I can't cut
- 26:03Speaker 1: your stout. You understand that. Brothers. If it's something you
- 26:05Speaker 1: need to deal with, you need to talk to people
- 26:07Speaker 1: at the church. Why do I need to talk to
- 26:09Speaker 1: brother dogs when I'm talking about do not need to
- 26:12Speaker 1: the problem right now? You're the problem back, I'm a problem.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I just put a bunch of Tide money and I
- 26:18Speaker 1: won't I know exactly how much I spent over there,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and I want my money back. Brother about that? That's
- 26:24Speaker 1: what I care about. Your time? So that I said
- 26:27Speaker 1: your time? Want me to spell it out? Oh? Well,
- 26:31Speaker 1: here kids or spell out. I bet they know how
- 26:35Speaker 1: to spell it. Okay, don't be calling me about no
- 26:37Speaker 1: damn behave your issues with your kids. You're back Tide.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That's the question you need to be asking. Is you
- 26:42Speaker 1: living your life? Think to five? Huh? You know what?
- 26:47Speaker 1: You know what? Brothers? I didn't got out beside myself,
- 26:50Speaker 1: and I'm sorry, Brothers, I should not be using fire language, Skins.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I think what's going on. We need to we need
- 26:55Speaker 1: to get you and your children your wife, come on
- 26:58Speaker 1: down the service on Sunday. I will sick with you
- 27:00Speaker 1: as long as I can't. I truly, I truly think
- 27:03Speaker 1: counseling and talking is the only way out of it.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Should not be fighting on this phone now once again,
- 27:10Speaker 1: I hope you accept my apology from my language. Now,
- 27:14Speaker 1: can I ask something? Go ahead, son, I can hear you, Okay.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Brother Dobbs tells me that you and him are together,
- 27:21Speaker 1: y'all together some mornings having coffee. You and brother Dogs
- 27:25Speaker 1: are every morning that I'm not either function or doing
- 27:30Speaker 1: something for the building maintenance to the church. Yeah, definitely
- 27:33Speaker 1: he's a good brother. Like I told you, I know
- 27:34Speaker 1: him for many years, right right, And he's saying that
- 27:37Speaker 1: when y'all having coffee that y'all y'all listening to the radio.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Is that right? Yeah? Well I suppose y'all be listening
- 27:45Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah, it's always on the radio. Hey, fat,
- 27:53Speaker 1: was so fun? This is this is nephew timing man
- 27:55Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Martin's. Your brother Dogs just got
- 27:58Speaker 1: me to break phone called You didn't know now the
- 28:08Speaker 1: brother dob knew about this. He won game in your
- 28:10Speaker 1: novel I'm too scared to cuss another word. Let's take
- 28:16Speaker 1: the thing out of my character. I didn't think I
- 28:18Speaker 1: didn't did enough for a lifetop to day. I'm gonna
- 28:23Speaker 1: tell you right now, I'm probably these realist didn't come.

- 28:42Speaker 1: Morning Show. There you go, all right, thank you, nephew.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment and
- 28:51Speaker 1: national news right after this you're listening Morning Show. A
- 28:59Speaker 1: New York based attorney has sent letters to officials in
- 29:01Speaker 1: Georgia and in California seeking to open investigations under the
- 29:06Speaker 1: Trafficking Victims Protection Act and Georgia's Rape, Kidnapping and Terroristic
- 29:10Speaker 1: Threat Statues. Reports are out that nearly over thirty women,
- 29:15Speaker 1: survivors and witnesses have accused Ti and Tiny of sexual abuse.
- 29:21Speaker 1: In a statement to The New York Times, a lawyer
- 29:23Speaker 1: for Ti and Tiney said they deny in the strongest
- 29:26Speaker 1: possible terms, these baseless and unjustified allegations. WHOA okay, yeah,
- 29:34Speaker 1: this story, yeah, it keeps having legs. You know that's terrible. Yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 1: just see what the investigation don't know what. Yeah, we
- 29:45Speaker 1: just will stay on the story and let you know
- 29:48Speaker 1: what's going on. Yeah. In other entertainment news, this Sunday,
- 29:52Speaker 1: This coming Sunday, Oprah Winfrey will interview Megan Markle and
- 29:56Speaker 1: Prince Harry. Harry will talk about his mother, Princess Diana.
- 30:00Speaker 1: He told Oprah that he quit the royal family rather
- 30:02Speaker 1: than face the crushing exploitation that killed his mother. He says,
- 30:07Speaker 1: my biggest concern was history repeating itself. Growing interest in
- 30:12Speaker 1: the special convinced CBS to expand the show from ninety
- 30:15Speaker 1: minutes to two hours. According to royal watchers, Queen Elizabeth
- 30:20Speaker 1: stripped Harry of his honorary military titles because he never
- 30:23Speaker 1: asked her permission to be interviewed by Oprah. Now does
- 30:27Speaker 1: he have to ask her now that he's no longer Yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 1: no longer a royal. You ain't sending no check over him,
- 30:36Speaker 1: got no raw security everything. Grandmama, I'm gonna pulled up
- 30:41Speaker 1: the catch and we don't get a ride on the
- 30:43Speaker 1: wagon no more, he got no damns lost him to
- 30:47Speaker 1: do that with the fur hats. You took all that
- 30:49Speaker 1: back that you think I ain't gonna say nothing. Send him.
- 30:53Speaker 1: He ran my mom off the road. Now, y'all asking
- 30:55Speaker 1: him want me to be signed if I ain't beenna
- 30:57Speaker 1: being it? Because that's the only question. I won't ask him?
- 31:00Speaker 1: What the hell would make you lead a damn palace?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Because I'd be in there heaven, women dropping grapes in
- 31:06Speaker 1: my mouth till I was ninety. I'm Keith, I ain't
- 31:11Speaker 1: got to work. I'm looking for none, got a crib.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I'm on the whole. Queen think well, his brother, the
- 31:20Speaker 1: future Queen of the future King Prince William, has no
- 31:23Speaker 1: idea what Harry told Oprah. The brothers have not spoken
- 31:27Speaker 1: for months, and the special will air this coming Sunday
- 31:31Speaker 1: at March. His brother said, I'm not going no damn well,
- 31:35Speaker 1: I'm about to be king King. Yeah, he's gonna be king,
- 31:38Speaker 1: Harry King, so yeah, and he knew that anyway. Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: they never have been king. No, I mean he would have,
- 31:45Speaker 1: yet it would have to be some younger brother. The
- 31:52Speaker 1: first Harry William is the oldest William is the first
- 31:57Speaker 1: son of Prince Princess Diana and Prince Now he already
- 32:00Speaker 1: no will You've been kicking his ass since they were
- 32:02Speaker 1: a little boy. He's nothing the lifted food be king
- 32:05Speaker 1: and he still live in the palace. He got every
- 32:09Speaker 1: out now the name was dog and this girl, so
- 32:12Speaker 1: I understand, you know, yeah, mainly that's what it was.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I think, you know, the treatment of Megan Marko. Yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and that's his wife, and he wanted to protect her
- 32:20Speaker 1: and they got a baby now and she's pregnant again,
- 32:23Speaker 1: you know. So yeah, Duke a boding him up, nothing
- 32:29Speaker 1: like as he just threw it out there. I am
- 32:34Speaker 1: hell hubbing and my wagon on you to ask me
- 32:38Speaker 1: to come in and get my and I was like, man,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I ain't tom. Hello, Hello, Duke, how are you deal? Hello? Hello,
- 32:55Speaker 1: your highness? Wonder what I how you're talking about the
- 32:59Speaker 1: royal family that well, yeah, Queen Elizabeth's and then of
- 33:03Speaker 1: course her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Megan Marco.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah alredy oh rally have you ever met Oprah? Dope?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Rock I love Opra. She's one of the most fabrialist
- 33:20Speaker 1: women I've ever said about. Oprah would be the only raison,
- 33:25Speaker 1: I'd leave the palace and do what what do you
- 33:30Speaker 1: mean by that? To marry Opra? Okay, that's just much
- 33:36Speaker 1: money as a palace got. That looks like I'm traded
- 33:39Speaker 1: off to me. But you'd lose your title. You think,
- 33:43Speaker 1: my damn about you? See the rancher son of Barber,
- 33:48Speaker 1: she's got enough money about Neverland? What are you looking? Woman?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Most forward to in the special this Sunday. I don't
- 33:59Speaker 1: know for on the hell what they have to say.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I wouldn't have never left if I was him, but
- 34:04Speaker 1: I'm awfully glad he then I'm now I'm the only black.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Now what you been doing? You? Your competition? He bought
- 34:14Speaker 1: hell along, and all of a sudden I was sharing
- 34:17Speaker 1: with another black when I was thinking down of the
- 34:20Speaker 1: black that knocks me farther away from the crown that
- 34:25Speaker 1: I'll never get. But I'm wonderful just being a duke. Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: you still have a title, You still have your title,
- 34:32Speaker 1: loved the duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke of wonderful songs,
- 34:40Speaker 1: Duke of he all of arting hounds. But what you've
- 34:43Speaker 1: been doing though, Duke, oh, just preparing myself of vaccination
- 34:49Speaker 1: time you know, I don't have to get one because
- 34:52Speaker 1: I don't never ever, I've never left the Ballace blue Blood.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I've never I've never been outside the wall. I don't
- 35:02Speaker 1: go to high rinser anywhow that bring it all to me.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'm still they rich and I don't love it. I'm
- 35:09Speaker 1: eating cave lunch today, drinking what are you drinking? Over there?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Teen and Aaron on Ends They don't know it, but
- 35:18Speaker 1: I haven't shipped in what Jack Daniels like a shout
- 35:28Speaker 1: of jackets some ell gray tap, Oh my god, thank you, Duke.
- 35:34Speaker 1: We certainly appreciate it. Coming up more on show at
- 35:38Speaker 1: twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 35:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. In trending news, a courthouse where
- 35:45Speaker 1: Derek Chavin will be tried for murdering George Floyd looks
- 35:49Speaker 1: like the same fortress that's around the US capital right now.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Heavy reinforced to black out the general public. Construction crews
- 35:57Speaker 1: have been hard at work over the past week four
- 35:59Speaker 1: to five downtown Minneapolis with the facto force fields, including
- 36:03Speaker 1: areas where protests and unrest are expected as Chauvin's murder
- 36:08Speaker 1: trial gets underway in the coming weeks. Jury selection is
- 36:12Speaker 1: set to begin March eighth, and opening arguments are expected
- 36:17Speaker 1: toward the end of the month. Wow, yeah, well here after.
- 36:24Speaker 1: It's not televised, right, you won't be to watch it, William,
- 36:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if it is. I'm
- 36:31Speaker 1: a watch. Yeah. I can't imagine them televising it, but
- 36:34Speaker 1: I would watch. I'm really interested in the defense. Yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 1: because you know what it It just goes to say
- 36:43Speaker 1: what we've all said all along. It's amazing how we
- 36:46Speaker 1: all see the same video and see something totally different. Now.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I don't know what happens to them twelve people when
- 36:52Speaker 1: they go in that room, but I don't know what
- 36:55Speaker 1: video they see. Yeah, dating back to Rodney King, we
- 36:59Speaker 1: all she's sitting here going, what are you kidding me?
- 37:06Speaker 1: This was murder. He murdered this man for eight minutes
- 37:11Speaker 1: and forty six seconds. He spent the entire time murdering
- 37:16Speaker 1: a man with his hand in his pocket like he
- 37:18Speaker 1: didn't give a damn on camera, on camera, Ram, please
- 37:23Speaker 1: come on, you know, and and and and America keeps
- 37:26Speaker 1: saying this is not who we are as a country.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Well okay, okay, then okay, what's the other side, because
- 37:35Speaker 1: we keep seeing this side, and we see this side
- 37:38Speaker 1: too often for you to convince us that this is
- 37:41Speaker 1: not the America we live in. It's not the america
- 37:44Speaker 1: you've ever seen or you want to deal with. But
- 37:47Speaker 1: it's the America that we've seen and lived with for
- 37:49Speaker 1: a long time. And now the gig is up. Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: we're no longer patient. We don't want to wait on
- 37:57Speaker 1: you to treat us equally. We're past that. We're exhausted
- 38:03Speaker 1: from getting the constitution applied to us. We're fed up
- 38:10Speaker 1: with the people being able to kill us and get
- 38:13Speaker 1: away with it. Yeah, that's why I think it's good
- 38:16Speaker 1: that I hope that they do televise it, because I'm
- 38:19Speaker 1: sure a lot more will come out that we didn't
- 38:21Speaker 1: even know about that dreadful day. That the day I
- 38:26Speaker 1: do see a couple of media publications that are saying
- 38:31Speaker 1: that the judge will allow cameras in the trial needs
- 38:36Speaker 1: to be Yeah, so we'll see if that still holds up.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Gonna be a major major problem across this country. If
- 38:45Speaker 1: that's not a conviction. I'm not promoting it, I'm predicting it. Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with more of a Steve
- 38:55Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show at thirty four minutes after the hour.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening this Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:03Speaker 1: A principal in Indianapolis, Guys, listen to this story. Principle
- 39:07Speaker 1: in Indianapolis, Indiana has gone viral for giving a student
- 39:11Speaker 1: confidence a confidence boost, I should say, with a simple haircut.
- 39:16Speaker 1: All right. It all started with Anthony Moore was sent
- 39:19Speaker 1: to Jason Smith's office at Stony Brunk Intermediate and Middle
- 39:23Speaker 1: School for wearing a hat, which goes against the school's
- 39:27Speaker 1: dress code. I sat across from him and asked, what's wrong?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Why are you being defiant? Why are you refusing to
- 39:33Speaker 1: take your hat off? And he explained Anthony did that
- 39:36Speaker 1: his parents took him to get a haircut and he
- 39:39Speaker 1: didn't like the results. Instead of disciplining the young man,
- 39:43Speaker 1: the principal has experience in cutting hair and he gave
- 39:46Speaker 1: a student a haircut. So take a listen to the
- 39:49Speaker 1: principle is Jason Smith's told CNN how important haircuts are
- 39:53Speaker 1: to black males. I've been cutting hair, you know, most
- 39:56Speaker 1: of my life. Play college basketball, and I cut teammates
- 39:59Speaker 1: here four games and I've been cut my son's hairs
- 40:02Speaker 1: and you know for seventeen years. So I had professional
- 40:06Speaker 1: clippers and edgers at home. So I said, if I
- 40:09Speaker 1: go home and and get my clippers and line you
- 40:12Speaker 1: up when you go back to class, and he said,
- 40:14Speaker 1: he said, yeah, you know, I will. That age is
- 40:17Speaker 1: a time for you know, pere acceptance is huge, you know,
- 40:20Speaker 1: and so young men, you know, especially you know, African
- 40:25Speaker 1: young men. The barbershops a big deal, you know, in
- 40:27Speaker 1: the community and looking good and representing and presenting yourself,
- 40:32Speaker 1: you know, is huge for kids. That's great, man, But
- 40:41Speaker 1: that's an African American man that knows the culture. That's
- 40:44Speaker 1: a Caucasian principle. That young man is suspended for show.
- 40:49Speaker 1: That's what would happen. Yeah, man, what do you think, Steve,
- 40:56Speaker 1: I don't I don't know what would have happened at
- 40:59Speaker 1: the wrong possibility that the rule would have just been
- 41:04Speaker 1: into play. You gotta take your head off, you know,
- 41:07Speaker 1: and if you don't, you're breaking the rules. It probably
- 41:09Speaker 1: has to be some consequences. But like Tommy said, him
- 41:13Speaker 1: being an African American man and understanding the culture and
- 41:16Speaker 1: what it is, I mean, you got you got a
- 41:18Speaker 1: different result. And you know, like rules are like donuts,
- 41:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean. M Yeah, and the holes
- 41:28Speaker 1: are circumstance and conditions. You can't can't blanketly apply a
- 41:36Speaker 1: rule to a situation. A rule is different. It's not
- 41:40Speaker 1: a law, it's a rule. A rule. It's like a donut.
- 41:44Speaker 1: It has conditions applied to it, you know, like that. Look,
- 41:49Speaker 1: there's no fighting at this school. Okay, no fighting. Yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 1: that's the rule. But now hold on, if you dig
- 41:57Speaker 1: into the situation to find out that this boy got
- 41:59Speaker 1: some problems at have him. You know, he'd lost the
- 42:02Speaker 1: loved one at home, you know, and you know he
- 42:04Speaker 1: got put out of the you know, they lost their job,
- 42:07Speaker 1: everything going bad at the house. And you find that out,
- 42:09Speaker 1: then you can explain that, explain to boys behavior in school,
- 42:12Speaker 1: So you can't just throw him out of school, you
- 42:14Speaker 1: know what I mean. Yeah, when principles like this take
- 42:20Speaker 1: their time to understand why is this boy being so
- 42:25Speaker 1: adamant about this hat when clearly a simple rule you
- 42:28Speaker 1: can't wear hats in here. I got I had an
- 42:32Speaker 1: accident one time. Accident was fight when I was in
- 42:36Speaker 1: the seventh grade and I busted my eye and man,
- 42:40Speaker 1: my eye was swollen, black, blue, shut. So I wore glasses.
- 42:44Speaker 1: The next day, I'm sitting in the music class and
- 42:46Speaker 1: the guy says, hey, cool daddy, you want to take
- 42:49Speaker 1: them glasses off? They were dark glasses. Yeah, And I
- 42:52Speaker 1: said no, sir, and he sent me straight to the
- 42:55Speaker 1: principal's office. Now I got down there him, missus Clayton,
- 42:59Speaker 1: I gotta take it glasses off. I showed Miss clay
- 43:01Speaker 1: He said, I gonna put the glass on going back
- 43:03Speaker 1: to class. I understand because I gotta explain this eye
- 43:07Speaker 1: to everybody right all day right, all day right, and
- 43:11Speaker 1: in the public school. This ain't this ain't nobody as
- 43:15Speaker 1: exactly exactly Empathy that that's what we need more of.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Not just like you said, Steve, just that's it, that's
- 43:23Speaker 1: the rule. But this is this is why you want
- 43:25Speaker 1: police officers in the black neighborhood who understand the black community.
- 43:30Speaker 1: This is the reason why absolutely who said this? I
- 43:36Speaker 1: turned into Thomas mild hold on, hold on who to him?
- 43:41Speaker 1: You don't know your personality? He said, said that, wait,
- 43:46Speaker 1: we have to go to commercial break. Yeah, I got right.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Hear what tims just say? Break phone called coming up
- 43:54Speaker 1: right after BOYD, you're listening to show coming up at
- 44:00Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:03Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today and the subject is
- 44:06Speaker 1: my ex wife made my son hate me. Wait till
- 44:09Speaker 1: you hear this. We'll get into it in a little bit.
- 44:11Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here with today's praying
- 44:15Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for his nav? Law and Order?
- 44:19Speaker 1: Great show love its bu law and or to take
- 44:31Speaker 1: a listen, Come on care doll, Good morning, Law and
- 44:34Speaker 1: Associates Office. Hey, how you doing. I'm trying to speak
- 44:38Speaker 1: to the lawyer mister here. He's not in Star, but
- 44:41Speaker 1: I can help you. Um. I can get all the
- 44:43Speaker 1: information um, and also get your actual complain at hand,
- 44:47Speaker 1: and then I can get your scheduled. Okay, what's your name?
- 44:50Speaker 1: My name is Joel. What's your name, Joel? My name
- 44:53Speaker 1: is Dwight. Dwight Turner. I'm trying to file a file
- 44:58Speaker 1: a lawsuit on somebody. I ain't never done this before,
- 45:00Speaker 1: but I'm trying to file lawsuit on somebody, and I
- 45:02Speaker 1: don't know what you know. Everybody tell me Vins a
- 45:05Speaker 1: good attorney or whatever. So I wanted to talk can
- 45:08Speaker 1: talk to him and see how I was supposed to
- 45:10Speaker 1: go about this. Right here. Okay, Well, can I get
- 45:13Speaker 1: all your information and then I can get your schedule.
- 45:15Speaker 1: He's not in the office right now, okay, but is
- 45:19Speaker 1: he coming back to day though? Am I gonna be
- 45:20Speaker 1: in the talk to him today? I'm not sure. He's
- 45:23Speaker 1: in court all day and I'm pretty much his verry thing.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So when am I gonna get to talk to him?
- 45:29Speaker 1: Then He's pretty good on getting back to you. He
- 45:31Speaker 1: would get back to you probably tomorrow. But it's actually
- 45:35Speaker 1: better to schedule as the only way you can meet
- 45:38Speaker 1: with him, and you will actually meet with him face
- 45:39Speaker 1: to face. The conversation is free. You can sit down
- 45:42Speaker 1: with him and have that one on one and explain
- 45:43Speaker 1: everything that's going on. So what you what you need?
- 45:46Speaker 1: What you need from me? Because I want to come
- 45:47Speaker 1: to see you in tomorrow if I can get on
- 45:49Speaker 1: his schedule tomorrow. I need your full name, the day
- 45:51Speaker 1: to birth and your name okay, my birth day to birth? Okay,
- 45:57Speaker 1: hold on, let me say, let's get can you do takedown?
- 46:00Speaker 1: What's going on with the whole situation? As can we get? Well,
- 46:04Speaker 1: I'll give you out that all that other stuff later.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I want you to write down what's going on first
- 46:08Speaker 1: because That's what's bothered me. I didn't get this all
- 46:10Speaker 1: my chicks, And what is the actual point, what is
- 46:12Speaker 1: what's going on? I want to file a lawsuit on
- 46:16Speaker 1: my girlfriend's HUDs. Excuse me, I want to file a
- 46:21Speaker 1: lawsuit on my girlfriend's husband. Are they still together? They're
- 46:24Speaker 1: still married? Yeah, I'm trying to understand. They know they're
- 46:28Speaker 1: still married, they together and everything. You know, that's gonna
- 46:31Speaker 1: bother me right there, But I want to file a
- 46:33Speaker 1: lawsuit on him though. So you're her boyfriend, she's still married,
- 46:37Speaker 1: they lived together, they're still they're not legally separated, not
- 46:40Speaker 1: like the little together, they got kids all that. You know.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I ain't tripping on that part right there. But I'm
- 46:45Speaker 1: sure you're her boyfriend. Yeah, okay, And you want to
- 46:48Speaker 1: sue her husband for what we're messing up our relationship,
- 46:51Speaker 1: for getting in the middle of what me and hug
- 46:52Speaker 1: got going on. That's not a crime, that's not ground
- 46:57Speaker 1: for a lawsuit. Hello, he messed up everything we got
- 47:01Speaker 1: going on. You know. Now he's taking the phone from
- 47:04Speaker 1: he gets taking my name out of it, you know,
- 47:07Speaker 1: he ahskay. And when I'm sending a text messire, he
- 47:09Speaker 1: asking the text menshon I'm sorry to hear that. I'm
- 47:12Speaker 1: sorry that you I'm sorry that it's all going on.
- 47:14Speaker 1: But that's not suple for our type of law. We
- 47:17Speaker 1: don't handle any cases like that, infidelity, which it sounds
- 47:21Speaker 1: like what's going on, that's not crowned for a lawsuit.
- 47:24Speaker 1: We don't address that type of thing. Okay, So what
- 47:28Speaker 1: you're talking about it infidelity. Look, I know you're speaking
- 47:32Speaker 1: with the married you're sleeping with the married woman, and
- 47:34Speaker 1: you have a relationship with her, and you want to
- 47:37Speaker 1: sue her current legal yes, messing up your relationship. Actually,
- 47:44Speaker 1: you're the actual outsider. You're the actual person that's in
- 47:48Speaker 1: the wrong. If you want to make a what's your name,
- 47:53Speaker 1: I told you it's Joel, Sir, Joel, I ain't nobody

- 48:14Speaker 1: There's no lawyer. It's not gonna do this. Please don't
- 48:16Speaker 1: call me with this. I want I want. You're trying
- 48:19Speaker 1: to tear me out of my pocket. Man, you cursed
- 48:23Speaker 1: by somebody. You call me by somebody. Husband. You know
- 48:31Speaker 1: my job is to have some common sense. My job.

- 53:43Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Subject my wife made sure my
- 53:47Speaker 1: son hates me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm going to jump
- 53:52Speaker 1: right on in. I cheated on my wife two years
- 53:55Speaker 1: ago with a woman that constantly threatened to call my
- 53:59Speaker 1: when she didn't get what she wanted. This went on
- 54:03Speaker 1: two years until I ran out of money and decided
- 54:06Speaker 1: to end the affair. This woman called my wife a
- 54:10Speaker 1: few days later. I was out cutting the yard when
- 54:13Speaker 1: my wife when she called my house and my wife answered.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I walked in and my wife was on the speaker
- 54:20Speaker 1: phone listening to my side chick with my son sitting
- 54:24Speaker 1: there listening to everything. He was twelve years old at
- 54:28Speaker 1: the time, and I made him leave the room, but
- 54:31Speaker 1: he had already heard enough. My relationship with him was ruined.
- 54:35Speaker 1: After that day. My home life was terrible too, so
- 54:38Speaker 1: I moved out after my wife served me with divorce papers.
- 54:44Speaker 1: We are in the process of discussing who will get
- 54:46Speaker 1: custody of our son, and I haven't seen him in months.
- 54:50Speaker 1: His mother's brainwatched him to think I'm a no good
- 54:53Speaker 1: cheeter and liar. She has him in the middle of
- 54:56Speaker 1: grown folks business, and when we talked, she's always on
- 55:00Speaker 1: speakerphone so my son can hear all of the conversation.
- 55:03Speaker 1: She sends me text messages with our son on the
- 55:06Speaker 1: text thread, and she's usually calling me names and cursing
- 55:10Speaker 1: me out. She's brought up all kinds of things that
- 55:13Speaker 1: have happened in our marriage, and my son doesn't need
- 55:15Speaker 1: to know all of that. I'm dying to see him,
- 55:18Speaker 1: so I sent him a text asking him to have
- 55:21Speaker 1: dinner with me one day soon. He sent me the
- 55:25Speaker 1: most disrespectful reply a child could send a father. I
- 55:30Speaker 1: wanted to go snatch him up real quick, but I can't.
- 55:33Speaker 1: This is not the boy I raised. He needs his
- 55:36Speaker 1: father back in his life. How can I reverse all
- 55:40Speaker 1: of this brainwashing? Please advise? Well, I don't know if
- 55:44Speaker 1: you're going to be able to do that. And I
- 55:45Speaker 1: have to say this. Everything in this letter is just terrible.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Everything in this letter, I mean, you cheat it for
- 55:51Speaker 1: the lamest excuse ever, I mean, in the history of cheating.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Just say you cheated or wanted to cheat, cheating because
- 55:59Speaker 1: this woman was gonna call your wife if you didn't
- 56:02Speaker 1: cheat with her. It's about the stupidest thing ever, I mean.
- 56:05Speaker 1: And then you you cheated with her for two years.
- 56:09Speaker 1: She scared you for two years. Okay, that's just dumb.
- 56:15Speaker 1: You know you should have told your wife about the
- 56:17Speaker 1: threats when they started, and then call the woman's bluff
- 56:21Speaker 1: and not cheat it since she ended up calling your
- 56:23Speaker 1: wife anyway, you know. I also, this is what I
- 56:27Speaker 1: don't hear in this letter. I don't hear any remorse
- 56:30Speaker 1: from you. I hear no remorse from you about what
- 56:32Speaker 1: you did. I mean, did you try to fix it,
- 56:35Speaker 1: did you try to apologize? Did you try anything anything?
- 56:39Speaker 1: I mean? And of course your wife wanted to hurt you,
- 56:42Speaker 1: and she knows your son is the way to get
- 56:45Speaker 1: at you. I mean, what she did is beyond wrong.
- 56:48Speaker 1: What she did is beyond wrong. There's no way your
- 56:52Speaker 1: son should have been in the middle. As you say,
- 56:54Speaker 1: grown folks business. If she needed an ally, she could
- 56:57Speaker 1: have talked to another adult, you know. She she she
- 57:01Speaker 1: tainted the boy. Now made herself look like a victim,
- 57:03Speaker 1: and yeah, made you hate him, made your son hate
- 57:08Speaker 1: you and disrespect you. I'm not blaming your wife. I'm
- 57:11Speaker 1: not blaming her for anything. This is your fault. This
- 57:14Speaker 1: is you, and of course you. Your son doesn't want
- 57:17Speaker 1: to see his mom hurt and going through because of you.
- 57:21Speaker 1: People get divorced every day and parents do get joint
- 57:24Speaker 1: custody of a kid. So hopefully during the divorce, that'll
- 57:27Speaker 1: work itself out. But yeah, you sir, created all of
- 57:31Speaker 1: this because of your cheating. Now the family's broken. But
- 57:35Speaker 1: you gotta get to your son some kind of way.
- 57:38Speaker 1: You gotta apologize to him. You gotta do something. You
- 57:42Speaker 1: got to talk to your son and not say anything
- 57:46Speaker 1: bad about his mom like you tried to, you know,
- 57:49Speaker 1: allude to in the letter. None of that. I don't
- 57:52Speaker 1: agree with anything she's done either. And your son has
- 57:55Speaker 1: already damaged by what she did, you know, letting him
- 57:58Speaker 1: hear everything. So you gotta get to a counselor. You
- 58:00Speaker 1: got to talk to him, a therapist of pastor Jesus
- 58:03Speaker 1: someone to heal this relationship. Hopefully, like I said, the divorce,
- 58:07Speaker 1: when you get that, when you get custody, you know,
- 58:10Speaker 1: he can begin to understand that you do love him. Steve. See,
- 58:16Speaker 1: I don't think this is a letter at all about reconciliation.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I don't think it is at all. And I think
- 58:25Speaker 1: the man came right on when he said, I'm gonna
- 58:28Speaker 1: just jump right on it. I cheated on my wife
- 58:32Speaker 1: two years ago. He already noticed his fault. I'm just
- 58:38Speaker 1: saying he knows it is his fault. But with a
- 58:41Speaker 1: woman who constantly threatened to call my wife when she
- 58:44Speaker 1: didn't get what she wanted. See, now that's not a threat.
- 58:48Speaker 1: If you don't stay with me, I'm gonna call your wife.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It could be anything she wanted, because he said it
- 58:54Speaker 1: like he was buying her stulf, getting her stulf, probably
- 58:57Speaker 1: helping her, you know, with the bills and all this hidden.
- 59:00Speaker 1: She don't give something, she won't her way or him
- 59:04Speaker 1: to come over at a certain time, then I'm gonna
- 59:06Speaker 1: threatened to call your wife. This went on for two years,
- 59:09Speaker 1: and this is the killer part, he says, until I
- 59:12Speaker 1: ran out of money and decided to end the affair. See,
- 59:17Speaker 1: this affair was based around the money he was given
- 59:21Speaker 1: the mistress. So when the mistress couldn't get what, she
- 59:25Speaker 1: won't and I'll need this, you need to buy me that.
- 59:28Speaker 1: This shit threatened to call the wife. He kept it
- 59:31Speaker 1: going for two years. He liked a little sideline stuff,
- 59:35Speaker 1: but it was costing him too much, so then he
- 59:37Speaker 1: decided to end the affair. What what should he didn't
- 59:42Speaker 1: have to do any of this. He was cheating with
- 59:46Speaker 1: the woman. He was buying the stuff she wanted more
- 59:49Speaker 1: when he didn't have the money to give or won't
- 59:51Speaker 1: She threatened to call him. He tried to keep it
- 59:53Speaker 1: until he ran out of money. That we'll come back
- 59:57Speaker 1: with per two of your response. Girl at twenty three
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: minutes after backing, straightened her letter and her out come
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: on back, you're straighten him out. My ex wife made
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: sure my son hates me is the subject. We'll be
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening show, All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject my ex wife
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: made my son hate me? All right? Man writes a
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: letter to said he gonna jump right on it. Cheated
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: on his wife two years ago. He admitted that he
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: know he wronged with the woman that constantly threatened to
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: call my wife when she didn't get what she wanted.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: That could be I want you to come over now.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: That could be I want a new dress. That could
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: be I want you to fix my car. That could
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: be I need help with these bills. It could be
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: anything she wanted, but she would threaten to call her wife. Now.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: He tried to keep it up, and he said, this
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: went on for two years until I ran out of money,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and I said, man, now I got to end this
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: affair because that affair he was in. It might have
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: been sexual, but it was tied to money. Sugar. Daddy
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: ran out of sugar. He just daddy, now, So that's
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: what happened. I was out cutting the yard when she
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: called my house and my wife answered. Walked in. Wife
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: on the speaker phone listening to my side. Chick, he
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: know he wrong. My son was sitting there listening to everything.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: He was twelve years old at the time, and I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: made him leave the room, but he had already heard enough.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: My relationship when him was ruined. After that day, my
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: home life was terrible too, so I moved out after
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: my wife served me with divorce papers. So this isn't
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: about a reconciliation. It's over. He caused it. His fault,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: bad hit the problem. We're in the process of discussion.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Who would get custody of our son dog. You're not
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: getting custody. You could get joint custody. You know you
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: might get knocked down the visitation, but you're not getting custody.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: You can stop this right now. I haven't seen him
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: in months. His mother has brainwashed him to think I'm
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: a no good cheetah and liar. She has him in
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the middle of grown folks business, and when we talk,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: she's always on speaking phones, so my son can hear
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: all of the conversation. Sirley and I both agree she's
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: wrong for this. I'm gonna tell you at the end.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Sends me text messages with our son on the text thread.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Oh she wrong, man, But I'm gonna tell you why
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: she's doing this too, calling your names and cussing me out.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: She's brought off all kinds of things that happened in
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I managing my son. Don't need to know all that.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I'm dying to see him. So when I sent him
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: a text asking to have dinner with me one day soon,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: he sent me the most disrespectful reply a child could
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: send a father. I want to go snatch him up
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: real quick, but I can't. This is not the boy
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I raise. He needs his father back in his life.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: How can I reverse all the brainwashing? Please advise? Well,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: she here's a deal. She has accomplished what she wanted
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to do. But here's a problem. She won, but he lost,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: not you have lost. Her son has lost because he
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: not only does he not have a husband, but now
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: she got her son thinking he ain't got a father,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: and it don't have to be because his my opinion
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in this whole thing, when your husband doesn't prove to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: be a great husband, it doesn't mean that he's not
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: a good father. Those are two different roles completely, And
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: when I say that, I'm meaning that the two roles
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: can be separated and each can be performed extremely well.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: You can be a great husband and never have any children.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: You can be a great father, but you don't necessarily
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: make you a great husband. So the man is not
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: a great husband, got that, But that don't mean he
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: ain't a great father. But as a scorn woman or man,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: tying the two together only hurts the child. The child
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: is crust. Oh, you're whipping the father's behind. But do
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: you know that? You know in the long run that
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: man is still a man no matter what you say
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: about him. But you are hindering your son's development into
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: manhood because the one person that can teach him how
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to be a man, you've discredited him because he wasn't
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: a good husband. See, y'all just wasn't it for each other?
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: For whatever the reason was. He wrong for cheating one
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: hundred percent. But because he's not a good husband, don't
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: make him not a good father. So now you brainwashed
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the child into hating his own father, and you win.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: But guess what your child loses. And y'all got to
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: stop that. This is knowledge of man. If you are
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: out there, you have to stop that. If you're in
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the process of using your child as upon and your
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: divorce or your relationship, you have to stop that. I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: am speaking from experience. You have to stop that. It's
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: not for you to do this to this boy, because
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I have news for you. One day, this boy's gonna
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: grow up and he gonna know the truth. And as
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: this boy grows up, this boy's gonna make mistakes of
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: his own and he's gonna start to understand that mistakes
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: happen in life. But because he wasn't a great husband
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: to you don't mean that he wasn't a great father
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: to this boy. And you're doing nothing but damaging the board.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: And they tell you all the time. Listen, I don't
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: let my children hear me say nothing about their mother's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: disparaging nothing. Oh I could, but I don't now them.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: On the other hand, Oh, they ain't done. Men done
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: me like like like a damn book. But guess what
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: at the end, the truth comes out hanging it. Though
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I support the man in this letter, I supports the child.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: All right, well wow, okay, Well we'll continue this conversation
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: when we come back. My ex wife made sure my
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: son hates me. Steve and I agree on that that
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: that is definitely wrong and we have some personal experiences
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: to talk about when we come back. All right, after this,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: this this Strawberry letter was was interesting. My ex wife
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: made sure my son hates me. Um, you know, I mean,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: we can relate to it. We can relate to it.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: We've both been divorced on the show. Um, you know,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: full disclosure. Um, my first marriage didn't go well, didn't
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: end well, but we had a beautiful child out of
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: that relationship. And you know, I'm not ashamed to admit
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: um that I was very bitter. I was very very
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: bitter when we broke up. Um. Uh, you know, you
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: get to a dark place sometimes you're angry, you're bitter,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: and um, you know I was on the radio. I
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: was on the radio in LA. A lot of people
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: who listened during that time, probably well hopefully they don't remember.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: It was so long ago. But yeah, I used to
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: bad man. I used to really bad mother my ex
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: husband on the air constantly, because you know, something would
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: happen that it would remind me or you know, trigger
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: me or something like that, and I just go in,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you know, I say one thing, Yeah, call him a
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: dead beat dad or whatever whatever, and uh, just just
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: not a good look. You know when you look back
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: and you look back from now, what you think, Oh,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: it was horrible. I mean I had to stop myself.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You know, you grow, you change, people change, they do.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I had to forgive him that. It started with that forgiveness,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: because forgiveness is not for the other person. We talk
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: about that a lot on the show. Forgiveness is for you.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Once I forgave him, then I could start to heal.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: And I stopped and I apologized on the air. I
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: apologized to him for saying that because we had a child,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I never wanted her to grow up. And you know
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: have people saying, well, your mom used to do this,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: talk about your I never wanted that, so you know
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: mine ain't feel that way. But you wouldn't do that.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: You're too much of a gentleman to do that. Well,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I would never talk about my sons and daughters mothers
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: in a disparaging way publicly. I would never do that,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: you know. I have my comments away in my own
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: personal life because I'm human, but never on the air,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: because I taught my sons. I raised my sons to
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: honor their mothers like I was raised to honor mine
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and to defend her at all costs. I can't they
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: can't see me talking about it. And then I asked
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: them not to honor them. But you know, my yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: but my ex went on a complete and total smear
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: campaign out of out of her anger and score for years,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I understand, for years. I mean just attack, attack, attack, attack,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, and you know, I thank god I
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: had Marjorie, you know, a strong woman who knew me. Yeah,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I could say no. All right, coming up at the
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: top of the hour, we're going to talk about the
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: moment we realized that we've turned into our parents. Oh boy,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: we'll talk about that right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: all right, So, guys, no matter how much as kids
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: we swear that we will never grow up to be
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: like our parents, there does come a time when most
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: of us wind up doing just that. We all I
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: love that commercial. And you know where the guy is
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: helping people not to turn into their parents. We love
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: that commercial. We see all blue hair. Growing up, did
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you swear you weren't going to be like your parents? And?
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Uh so that's the question. Growing up, did you ever
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: swear that you weren't going to be like your parents?
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: And what things did you insist you never do and
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: now you do them? What what are you doing? I'm
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: doing it like you know. My little girl is sixteen,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: so I got me a little girl. We bought my
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: little girl a car. I swear every time she pull
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: out that driveway, I want to know where you're going.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: I want to know when you get there. I want
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: you to call me when you get there. I want
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: you call them when you're on your way back. I'm
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: just paranoid. My daddy was just like that boy. Where
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you going, I'm going around here, call him when you
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: get over there. I don't want to go in the
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: house and call you. Then you ain't going, Then you
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: ain't going. You have a traice. But my little girl
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: is to see one point. She texts as soon as
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: she get what she going the way back. She does
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: everything she's supposed to do so now that the oldest boy. Man,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: who where are you going? You all want to know
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: where I'm going? Daddy? Okay, okay, you're right, you go
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: ahead on. I am my daddy all over. Yeah, what
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: about you, junior? I know you don't have kids, but man, lecturing,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I said. I never lectured like my parents did because
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: my dad didn't give good lecture because he could never
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: finish the sentence. I do the same thing with my nephew.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Time to school called, he messed up. I heat on
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: the phone. Hello, I said, hey, what who? Okay? Now,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: see see here right, you're pushing it. You're pushing it. Okay,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: listen to me. I ain't saying nothing, but I said,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: listen to me. You all right now, okay, let me
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: come down there. Let me come down that. I turned
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: it into the exact ain't Peter Man, No, you know
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I'm the direct opposite there. No, no, no, I couldn't wait.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Could be my damn dad. You wait, I find somebody
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I can tell you get the hell out of my faith.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Ain't go hey, come in here, get that remote, go
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: over there and turn that TV channel to all that. Yeah,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the car. You ain't taking nobody's damn car,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: you better get your ass on that bike. I'm saying,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: do you say no, I'll be going Yeah, I feel good. Yeah,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: he lives. I could never. Mom couldn't get our names right.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: You know, she'd be calling me this name or that
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: name or that you know is Marjorie w Yeah, and
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: I do that now, dude, you really? Yes? What with
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: my mom? She made a big thing about, you know, cleaning,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: getting up and on the weekends, listening to music and
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: maze and all. I'm telling you. The other day, I
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: got Tasha up like my mom used to give me up,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: get down here, let's get busy. And I was turning
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: on Frankie Beverly and Maze. I'm snapping my fingers behind
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: my mom, just liting myself. I was like, oh my god,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and to this right? Are you let go? So has
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: anybody said the thing that we all? I know we
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: all hated this growing up because I said SO said that, yeah,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: and I hate when it comes out of my mouth,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: but there it is. I hated that. Working all right,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: favorite work. That means all right. We'll have more of
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Today's trending stories and more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Show twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: the String show. Well, while millions of people around the
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: country try to set up appointments to go get vaccinated,

- 1:14:45Speaker 1: is reporting that r Kelly has now received both doses
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: of a COVID nineteen vaccine, both doses. Okay. He's one
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: of sixty three inmates at Chicago's Metropolitan Correction Center to
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: be fully vaccinated so far, as well as one hundred
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: and twenty eight staff members. So there you go. I
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: am good. What I ain't even got I'm just saying.

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: A courthouse where Derek Chauvin will be tried for murdering
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: George Floyd looks like the same fortress that's around the
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: US capital right now. Heavy reinforced to black out the
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: general public. Construction crews have been hard at work over
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: the past week four defying downtown Minneapolis with de facto
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: force fields, including areas where protests and unrest are expected
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: as Chauvin's murder trial gets underway in the coming weeks.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Jury selection is set to begin March eighth, and opening
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: arguments are expected toward the end of the month. Wow,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: M yeah, well here after not televised, right, you won't
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: be able to watch it with you. I don't know,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm gonna watch yeah, I can't imagine
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: them televising it, but I would watch. I'm really interested
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: in the defense, Yeah, because you know what, it just
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: it just goes to say what we've all said all along.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: It's amazing how we all see the same video and
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: see something totally different. Now. I don't know what happens
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: to them twelve people when they go in that room,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: but I don't know what video they see. Dating back
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to Rodney King, Oh my god, she's sitting here going,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: what are you kidding me? This is murder? Yeah, he
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: murdered this man. Yeah, for eight minutes and forty six seconds.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: He spent the entire time murdering a man with his
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: hand in his pocket like he didn't give a damn
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: on camera, on camera, Ram, please come on, you know,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: and and and and America keeps saying this is not
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: who we are as a country. Well okay, okay, then okay,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: what's the other side? Because we keep seeing this side,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: and we see this side too often for you to
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: convince us that this is not the America we live in.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: It's not the America you've ever seen or you want
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: to deal with, But it's the America that we've seen
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: and lived with for a long time, and now the
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: gig is up. Yeah, we're no longer patient. We don't
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: want to wait on you to treat us equally. We're
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: past that. We're exhausted from getting the constitution applied to us.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: We're fed up with the people being able to kill
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: us and get away with it. Yeah. Yeah, that's why
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I think it's good that I hope that they do
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: televise it, because I'm sure a lot more will come
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: out that we didn't even know about that dreadful day
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: that the day. You know, I see a couple of
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: media publications that are saying that the judge will allow
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: cameras in the trial. I think it needs to be. Yeah,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: so we'll see if that still holds up. Gonna be
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: a major major problem across this country. If that's not
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a conviction. I'm not promoting it, right, I'm predicting it.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Coming up, it is our last break of the day,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: and of course we'll have some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show all right, here
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: we are, guys, last break of the day. It's been
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: a good day. And I have to say before we
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: get to Steve's closing remarks, Happy birthday to my brother Fish.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: It is his Birthdayishday, Fish Birthday, Fish. I love you,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: love you, love you. Happy birthday. Enjoy your make us
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: a cake for your Birthdake. I don't have artificial pound cake.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: They're good. Yeah, hey, y'all. You know what I was thinking. Um,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I think about all that we've accomplished over the years
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: as people, and I'm talking to us as a people.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: We have a lot that we could be really really
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: proud of. You know, I look back on this past
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: election this year, and it's probably the most proud I've
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: ever been as an African American voting. I never felt
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: more proud for voting and us as a voting block
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that I did this past year. I also was very,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: very impressed with young people in twenty twenty during COVID
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: the way the Black Lives Matter movement showed up. And
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: it's a resurgence because you, black Lives Matter started a
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: little while ago, but it didn't have the correct momentum
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: behind it. Because COVID made sure that the right momentum
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: got behind it this time. Because everybody was at home
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: watching and so what Black Lives Matter did was it
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: took young people and put them in the forefront of this.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: And the Black Lives Matter movement is because of young people,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: make no mistake about it. Young people did this just
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: like Civil Rights was our shot at it in the
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: sixties and seventies, and what we accomplished then made headway.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: This movement here where for the first time I saw
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: a movement about black lives come together in a way
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: where so many people who were non black participated in
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: it to the point where it became disruptive to the
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Republican Party. And why I was I do not understand.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Of course, I do understand, because the leader of that
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: party changed the narrative of the movement, changed the narrative
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: of Colin Kaepernick, changed the narrative of Black Lives matter,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: and they just went along with it. But young people
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: made me beyond proud of them. They were monumental in
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: the change that's occurring in this country right now. And
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: don't you think that things are not changing. Oh they're
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: not changing fast, but there is a change occurring right
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: now because now there is a voting block that they
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: have to they have to contend with now they're gonna
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: continue with voter suppression, and they're going to continue with
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: the little slick tricks, and if any and all else fails,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: they'll bring Donald Trump back. They're going to do every
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: thing in their power to put a stop to this.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: But Stacy Abrahams, they were already talking about stop Stacy.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: They're already talking about it. This woman right here has
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: galvanized the state of Georgia. There are so many people
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: in Philly who galvanized in Georgia, in Detroit, in Milwaukee,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: all across this nation that have galvanized. Texas could turn
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: blue because of young people. These athletes today are more
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: heavily involved in larger numbers than ever before. Now, you know,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I remember the first athlete I saw they got active
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: out there with Jim Brown, with James Browning and all
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: them cats when they started. And I remember Al Green
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: came to the forefront and and all them old old
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: cats was out there on the front lines doing battle.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: But then I watched, you know, Kareem abdue Jabar take
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: his stay and help out none bigger and braver than
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Mohammad our Lee. And then I remember all these brothers
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: who came to the forefront but today though on no sun.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Make no mistake about it, because I was around for
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: both periods of time. I've never seen it at this magnitude.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I've never seen blacks in sports in baseball, basketball, and
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: football get together and band together the way they have.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: We have something to be proud of. This is a
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: slow turnaround because it's long overdue and they're still fighting
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: to make it right. Part, and there's a part of
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: this country that will always fight to make it right. Part.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: They're not going to give it up easily because for
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: some reason they think that if they give you a
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: slice of pie, that cuts into they slice of pie.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: What they don't understand about justice is justice is just justice.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: It ain't if you get too big a piece, we
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: don't get none. It's gnaw, man. Everybody wants the same
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: slice of pie. But you got some people, man, who've
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: got to make you feel less so they can feel more.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: That's the problem that we have in this country. This
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: is the country that we live in. We live in
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: a country that if we keep classes alive, then we
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: can hold you down. If we can keep you in
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: a certain zone, we can keep you down. Why are
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: we fighting minimum wage? Somebody please tell me Democrat or
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Republican the problem with fifteen dollars minimum wage. Well, I'll
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: tell you what it is. They can't give you the
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: taste of success because if you taste success, you're gonna
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: want more of it. And if you want more of it,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: they think you're gonna take it from them. It's simple
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: as that. The rich gonna have to take the cut
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: in pat you. That's why they fight me. Black people
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: who got a lot to be proud of. I'm proud
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: of y'all, man. Uncle Steve just wanted to say that
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: to y'all. Thank y'all for digging in the way you
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: did this year. Man. You've done us all a real
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: service unadjusted. Appreciate it, y'all. Have a great day. Talk
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: to you tomorrow. All right now. For all Steve Harvey contests,
