- 2:02Speaker 8: I sure, well, good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You're listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 8: Come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 8: got a radio show. You know this week, I just
- 2:13Speaker 8: been on it, So today is no different. I'm telling you,
- 2:17Speaker 8: I've just reinvigorated myself. I'm more determined to share the
- 2:22Speaker 8: principles of success. I'm more determined to help and guide
- 2:28Speaker 8: and teach as many people as I can the things
- 2:31Speaker 8: that I've learned. And I mean, man, I've been through it.
- 2:34Speaker 8: I have really been through it. I kid you not.
- 2:36Speaker 8: You know. I used to say, Okay, God, you know,
- 2:39Speaker 8: why is all this happening to me? But as I've
- 2:41Speaker 8: gotten older, I understand that was the ingredients. I needed
- 2:46Speaker 8: the ingredients to be this cake. I needed all those
- 2:50Speaker 8: ingredients stirred up. I need all of that different flavors,
- 2:54Speaker 8: the stuff that I didn't think tastes so good. All
- 2:56Speaker 8: that stuff had to come into the bowl in order
- 2:59Speaker 8: for me to get to where I am today. As
- 3:02Speaker 8: much as I did not like the taste of the ingredients,
- 3:07Speaker 8: little did I know God was making this cake, not me.
- 3:10Speaker 8: But what he did was and you've heard the old
- 3:13Speaker 8: saying God could turn lemons into lemonade, Well that's what
- 3:18Speaker 8: he was doing now. At the time, it all had
- 3:22Speaker 8: a little funky lemonade lemony flavor to it, with some
- 3:27Speaker 8: other stuff in it too. I didn't care for it.
- 3:30Speaker 8: But little did I know that I needed everything that
- 3:33Speaker 8: happened to me, that happened to me in the exact
- 3:35Speaker 8: order that it happened, and the exact array of things
- 3:39Speaker 8: that happened for me to have the knowledge I have today,
- 3:42Speaker 8: the experience, the attitude, so I could turn around and
- 3:48Speaker 8: share that information. Okay, got that out the way. This
- 3:52Speaker 8: is what I want to give to you today. I
- 3:55Speaker 8: want you to understand something that discipline determines your destiny,
- 4:01Speaker 8: not your desire. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 4:08Speaker 8: You've heard me say this how many times on the show. Okay,
- 4:11Speaker 8: here we go again, Steve, I got it. Faith without
- 4:14Speaker 8: works is dead. But let me tell you something. To
- 4:18Speaker 8: be a hard worker, you got to be disciplined. That's
- 4:21Speaker 8: one of the hardest lessons I'm trying to get through
- 4:23Speaker 8: to my sons. You're gonna throw yourself down a cliff
- 4:28Speaker 8: if you're not a young man or a man that
- 4:30Speaker 8: possesses discipline. Because they got something for undisciplined people. They
- 4:35Speaker 8: got some street laws for undisciplined people, and they got
- 4:39Speaker 8: some federal laws and state laws for undisciplined people. So
- 4:43Speaker 8: that's why them signs is outside on the freeway, We're
- 4:46Speaker 8: gonna let you go fast, But seventy is the limit.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Seventy fast enough.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Really, if you're disciplined enough of a person to leave
- 4:55Speaker 8: your house at the time you're supposed to leave your house,
- 4:58Speaker 8: seventy miles per hour is absolutely enough. But if you're
- 5:02Speaker 8: an undisciplined person, if you don't have the wherewithal to
- 5:06Speaker 8: leave your house on time, to get ready to go
- 5:09Speaker 8: where you wanna go, see the desires where you wanna go,
- 5:13Speaker 8: The discipline is how you get there. You understand, you
- 5:17Speaker 8: can wanna go to see your family in California. All
- 5:20Speaker 8: you want but the flight leaves at one eighteen.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You leave your house at twelve thirty.
- 5:27Speaker 8: They told you you must check in one hour before
- 5:32Speaker 8: your flight. Now, if you ain't got the discipline to
- 5:34Speaker 8: get to the airport to check in one hour before
- 5:38Speaker 8: your flight, leaving your house forty five minutes before the
- 5:41Speaker 8: flight departs, what you think gonna happen?
- 5:43Speaker 2: Your desire to go see.
- 5:46Speaker 8: Your family in la is going to be thwarted because
- 5:50Speaker 8: you lack the discipline to prepare yourself and get yourself
- 5:54Speaker 8: ready to do the things that you have to do
- 5:57Speaker 8: to make your desires come true. I'm telling you, discipline
- 6:01Speaker 8: determines your destiny, not your desire. You can write down
- 6:05Speaker 8: a list of stuff you wanna do all day, but
- 6:07Speaker 8: if you don't produce and show the discipline necessary to
- 6:11Speaker 8: get there.
- 6:12Speaker 2: What you think gonna happen?
- 6:14Speaker 9: Huh?
- 6:15Speaker 8: Okay? I wanna be rich. Okay, I wanna make four
- 6:20Speaker 8: hundred thousand a year. Okay, I wanna be the best
- 6:24Speaker 8: player that they is. Okay, but you don't want practice.
- 6:29Speaker 8: See the cat that's disciplined enough to show up at practice,
- 6:32Speaker 8: that's shooting jumpers when everybody gone home.
- 6:35Speaker 2: That's the guy that's gonna be the best.
- 6:37Speaker 8: The guy that's never late for practice, the guy to
- 6:40Speaker 8: study the playbook. That's the guy that's gonna make it,
- 6:43Speaker 8: not the guy that's talking crack, got stalking that smack.
- 6:46Speaker 8: I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl, I'm gonna make the
- 6:48Speaker 8: All Star Team, I'm gonna be All American. That's just
- 6:51Speaker 8: what you're saying. But discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 6:57Speaker 8: So now let's talk about this discipline. What is that, really, Steve.
- 7:01Speaker 8: That's your work ethic, that's your hunger, that's your wheel.
- 7:06Speaker 8: Discipline is how hard you're willing to demonstrate the attributes
- 7:13Speaker 8: and the traits to be what you want to be.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Did you hear me?
- 7:19Speaker 8: It is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner
- 7:23Speaker 8: that is above and beyond what they say is necessary.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Now, this is a good example right here. Now.
- 7:31Speaker 8: You can wanna be in the NFL all you want,
- 7:34Speaker 8: but they got this thing called the NFL Combines where
- 7:37Speaker 8: they bring in some of the top players at every
- 7:40Speaker 8: position to come in and they gonna run a forty
- 7:43Speaker 8: yard dash, They're gonna do a standing broad jump, They're
- 7:47Speaker 8: gonna do a standing vertical leap, they gonna do drills,
- 7:53Speaker 8: running drills, cutting drills. They can determine if a lineback
- 7:57Speaker 8: of God stiff hips by making him back pedal, point
- 8:00Speaker 8: him in one direction and throw the football in another direction.
- 8:03Speaker 8: How does he turn his body? Now you can say
- 8:06Speaker 8: you can tell everybody at your college you want to
- 8:08Speaker 8: play pro football. You can tell everybody at your high school.
- 8:10Speaker 8: You can tell them in pee wee you wanna play
- 8:12Speaker 8: pro football. But they got tests for you though. It's
- 8:15Speaker 8: called the combines. Now you get out here and you
- 8:18Speaker 8: have a bad combine day, ain't nobody trying to hear that.
- 8:21Speaker 8: Let me tell you how excuses don't work with people
- 8:23Speaker 8: when they just trying to get when they trying to
- 8:25Speaker 8: win in the NFL.
- 8:27Speaker 2: The fact that you had a bad.
- 8:29Speaker 8: Day at the combine and you don't run your best
- 8:31Speaker 8: forties and you keep telling them you could do better,
- 8:34Speaker 8: they don't want to hear that. Because see, what ain't
- 8:36Speaker 8: nobody gonna pay you for is to play on Sunday.
- 8:39Speaker 8: And that's one of your bad days. We paying you
- 8:43Speaker 8: to play on Sundays. But because you keep having these
- 8:47Speaker 8: bad days, because you ain't disciplined enough to put in
- 8:50Speaker 8: the work to make sure that your maximum can be
- 8:53Speaker 8: called upon at any time. Now you at to combine
- 8:56Speaker 8: with some slow times that go on your record. Combine
- 9:00Speaker 8: you don't jump as high as you did when you
- 9:02Speaker 8: was at the gym class. Well, hold up, man, this
- 9:05Speaker 8: is show day now in the NFL. Sunday is show day.
- 9:09Speaker 8: What they can't run the risk of is paying you
- 9:11Speaker 8: your money and your bad day happen to be on
- 9:14Speaker 8: Sundays after we don't cut your check.
- 9:17Speaker 2: No, no, no, We.
- 9:18Speaker 8: Looking for people who limit them bad days, who got
- 9:21Speaker 8: the discipline to work hard, to make an effort for it.
- 9:24Speaker 8: You understand what I'm saying to your folks. Please understand this.
- 9:28Speaker 8: Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 9:32Speaker 2: If you can want it all.
- 9:33Speaker 8: You want, But if you ain't working, if you ain't grinding,
- 9:37Speaker 8: if you ain't hurting, if you ain't sweating real bad,
- 9:41Speaker 8: if you always somewhere, got to chill, You got to
- 9:45Speaker 8: have a cold one, you got to smoke one, You
- 9:48Speaker 8: got to do all them things. Can I tell you
- 9:50Speaker 8: something you ain't gonna make it? Discipline determines your destiny,
- 9:55Speaker 8: not your desire.
- 9:57Speaker 9: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
- 10:07Speaker 8: Man, anybody else that's listening, got any pets in the
- 10:10Speaker 8: car sitting down and bring them up to the radio.
- 10:13Speaker 8: This is Steve Harvey Morning show Man, and what a
- 10:16Speaker 8: show it is. But we don't start this show without
- 10:19Speaker 8: saying thank you God. I tell you that for show man,
- 10:23Speaker 8: never have, never will. It's just something you just got
- 10:26Speaker 8: to get it. Man, Please formulate a relationship with God.
- 10:29Speaker 8: It's the most important relationship you'll ever have in your life.
- 10:33Speaker 8: Nuri Mohammad said one time. He said, outside of your
- 10:37Speaker 8: relationship with God, which is the most important relationship you
- 10:41Speaker 8: have in your life, the person you choose the rest
- 10:43Speaker 8: of your life with is the biggest decision you've ever made. Boy,

- 14:45Speaker 9: Chill?
- 14:47Speaker 14: Is that reason your collin?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Uh?
- 14:49Speaker 15: Well, I'm actually the surgeon that actually did the.
- 14:51Speaker 10: Procedure on removing his gallstones. Well, how's he doing? As
- 14:55Speaker 10: any complications?
- 14:56Speaker 2: That's fun?
- 14:57Speaker 14: Well, no complication according to the doctor.
- 15:00Speaker 10: Okay, well listen, there's a couple little bit of things
- 15:03Speaker 10: I want to discuss with you guys and see if
- 15:05Speaker 10: we can maybe get em rectified. Is he around?
- 15:10Speaker 15: Oh?
- 15:12Speaker 8: What reckless?
- 15:14Speaker 10: Actually? Miss Actually, when we actually did the procedure on
- 15:17Speaker 10: your on your husband and removing the gallstones, I will
- 15:21Speaker 10: say that there's a bit of a mistake made and
- 15:23Speaker 10: I'm hoping that he can come back in so we
- 15:25Speaker 10: can kind of get it rectified. You know, it'll be
- 15:27Speaker 10: actually thirty minutes and he'll be in and out. But actually,
- 15:30Speaker 10: when I removed the gallstones, and I'm very embarrassed to
- 15:33Speaker 10: say this, I actually left my wedding ring inside your husbands.
- 15:40Speaker 10: And I understand, man, I say, I actually left my
- 15:44Speaker 10: wedding ring inside your husband when I actually removed the gallstones.
- 15:48Speaker 10: And I'm hoping that he'll come back in so I
- 15:50Speaker 10: can actually take it out and and he'll be on
- 15:53Speaker 10: his way. He's last book. Hello, Hello, hello, mister. Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 10: how you doing this is doctor? I actually did the
- 16:15Speaker 10: surgery on you when you were came in and got
- 16:17Speaker 10: your golfstones removed. I remember you that. I will say this,
- 16:21Speaker 10: missus Clarence, I actually made a bit of a mistake
- 16:24Speaker 10: when you were here. And my apology. If I can
- 16:26Speaker 10: actually get you to come back here, man, I can
- 16:28Speaker 10: get you taken care of. But and this is just
- 16:31Speaker 10: a big mistake on my part. But when you guys
- 16:34Speaker 10: came in and I removed your stones, I actually left
- 16:36Speaker 10: my wedding ring inside inside of me. Yeah, yes, sir,
- 16:41Speaker 10: your wedding ring.
- 16:42Speaker 8: Sir.
- 16:43Speaker 10: I know this is crazy, but yes, I have truly
- 16:46Speaker 10: made a mistake and wanted to see if I can
- 16:47Speaker 10: get this thing rectified and get this thing taken out.
- 16:50Speaker 10: And I tell you, man, I've been without my ring
- 16:53Speaker 10: and my wife is raising holy hell about it. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 10: but you know something, doctor, we got a problem with
- 16:58Speaker 10: What do you mean, I mean, I'm about to go
- 17:01Speaker 10: back to work. I really can't be going back into
- 17:04Speaker 10: the operating room for somebody to take a ring out
- 17:06Speaker 10: of me that the left that they left by mistake.
- 17:09Speaker 14: You know what I'm saying.
- 17:10Speaker 10: Okay, I mean, you know, I realized your wife.
- 17:14Speaker 14: Might be upsetting.
- 17:15Speaker 10: You need your ring, But at this point, that.
- 17:17Speaker 14: Ring's gonna have to stay where it is for a while.
- 17:19Speaker 10: So I can't, ironically can't allow for that ring to
- 17:21Speaker 10: stay there another two or three days. I don't think
- 17:23Speaker 10: you understand exactly what I'm going through. There's no way
- 17:26Speaker 10: I can allow that. Yeah, I got to go back
- 17:29Speaker 10: to work. But you know something, I mean, you know,
- 17:31Speaker 10: I mean, you know we're talking about a bad, bad,
- 17:34Speaker 10: serious problem. You know we're talking about malpractice. I mean,
- 17:36Speaker 10: you know we're talking about me taking out more time
- 17:38Speaker 10: from work when I'm ready to go back.
- 17:39Speaker 14: I mean, you know, we're talking law suit all.
- 17:41Speaker 10: Kinds of stuff here.
- 17:42Speaker 14: We need to get together.
- 17:44Speaker 10: Can you hear me that?
- 17:44Speaker 2: No?
- 17:45Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, you need to come here.
- 17:48Speaker 10: Oh okay, my wife's a upset too. I mean, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 10: I can't get back on an operating tape.
- 17:55Speaker 14: Cirt.
- 17:56Speaker 10: This won't take the seconds is to actually me to
- 17:58Speaker 10: snip that thing and get that ring out of there
- 17:59Speaker 10: one take but a minute. I mean you still have
- 18:01Speaker 10: the same incisions there. I can go right back into
- 18:04Speaker 10: what the same scar was and take that out and
- 18:06Speaker 10: keep it moving on. Go back into the same and
- 18:08Speaker 10: you're gonna operate again if you cut me, Oh for sure.
- 18:11Speaker 10: I promise you that you won't even know I was there.
- 18:13Speaker 10: I'll go in there and take that ring out, just
- 18:15Speaker 10: that quick talk.
- 18:16Speaker 14: Okay, but but that let me ask you this here,
- 18:18Speaker 14: my wife.
- 18:19Speaker 10: My wife is about to go crazy. I'm I'm pretty
- 18:21Speaker 10: I'm a pretty good guy here. But I mean, you
- 18:23Speaker 10: know you got left ring in me. I mean, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 10: do you all have math practice insurance?
- 18:27Speaker 15: And turn we have plenty of insurance.
- 18:29Speaker 9: You know.
- 18:30Speaker 10: It's really more about what I'm going through at home.
- 18:32Speaker 10: So I'm doing this, but you yeah, pretty much here
- 18:35Speaker 10: at this point, I mean, no one actually from the
- 18:37Speaker 10: hospital actually knows what I'm actually calling you. Wow, wow,
- 18:40Speaker 10: you know, I mean, that's the big, big problem. You

- 24:16Speaker 8: you calling my wife because you're trying to be messy.
- 24:20Speaker 8: Now he expects you to call her and say that

- 28:45Speaker 12: At least if you're coming home with a new T shirt,

- 31:16Speaker 1: said that Mary's a legend. She's his sister and he
- 31:20Speaker 1: loves her. He said, if you all can't get this
- 31:23Speaker 1: message to Mary, as if he can't call her himself.
- 31:27Speaker 1: You know, he's saying he wants us his followers to
- 31:31Speaker 1: get the message to Mary.
- 31:32Speaker 9: But Tyree knows her. He could call her himself, right,
- 31:36Speaker 9: if your brother's sister.
- 31:39Speaker 8: Yeah, me and Mary J Blige are not close, her
- 31:43Speaker 8: and Mardria, but me and Mary J Blige are not close.

- 34:53Speaker 9: hate and crying about it?
- 34:56Speaker 2: All right? You know?
- 34:57Speaker 8: But you know, I mean it has to be a
- 35:00Speaker 8: like for a while he was off, I hadn't heard

- 36:17Speaker 1: in his career and in his marriage.
- 36:21Speaker 9: He's rich, Yeah what he thought.
- 36:25Speaker 8: He's not asking for assistance.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he ain't got no gofund me.

- 36:36Speaker 2: I mean, was she pregnant before they got married or
- 36:40Speaker 2: I think so.
- 36:41Speaker 9: Yeah, it sounds like she was pregnant before they got
- 36:43Speaker 9: married because Timeline, Yeah, Timeline yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 8: I mean, I'm happy for the cad. That's what if
- 36:52Speaker 8: he if he happy, I'm overhowing. I don't understand the people.
- 36:57Speaker 8: I am gonna go to Tyree's page for the comments.
- 37:02Speaker 8: I will be doing that.
- 37:05Speaker 2: All right. Yeah, in my truck, I'm gonna be on
- 37:07Speaker 2: with some ear bud.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Zone coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, President
- 37:12Speaker 1: Trump plans to honor former New York Mayor Giuliani with
- 37:15Speaker 1: the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award.
- 37:17Speaker 9: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 37:21Speaker 9: Hardy Morning Show.
- 37:27Speaker 8: What is it that makes the all new Hyundai Palisade
- 37:30Speaker 8: Hybrid and incredible suv? Is it the spacious interior that's
- 37:34Speaker 8: comfy for the whole crew. Maybe it's having up to
- 37:36Speaker 8: six hundred plus miles of range. What if it's all
- 37:40Speaker 8: of that and more?
- 37:41Speaker 2: What is it then?
- 37:42Speaker 12: The all new Hondai Palisade Hybrid so much more than
- 37:46Speaker 12: just another suv. Visit Hondai USA dot com. Oh Carl
- 37:50Speaker 12: five six two three one four four six zero three
- 37:53Speaker 12: for more details.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Well, President Trump plans to honor former New York City
- 37:58Speaker 1: Mayor Rudy Giuliani with the Presidential Medal of Freed Freedom Award,
- 38:04Speaker 1: which is the nation's, of course, highest civilian honor. Donald
- 38:08Speaker 1: Trump said on social media that Giuliani is the greatest
- 38:12Speaker 1: mayor in the history of New York City and an
- 38:15Speaker 1: equally great American patriot. Trump made this statement after Giuliani
- 38:20Speaker 1: was seriously injured in a car crash. To be clear,
- 38:24Speaker 1: since serving as New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani was sanctioned, disbarred,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and criminally charged in two states.
- 38:32Speaker 8: The greatest mayo though, yeah, I mean, but nobody can
- 38:37Speaker 8: be surprised. Nobody.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And while praising Giuliani, President Trump has continued to be
- 38:44Speaker 1: nasty to former president Vice President Kamala Harris.
- 38:48Speaker 9: You heard about this.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Trump has officially stopped Secret Service protection for Harris, and
- 38:53Speaker 1: it went into effect this past Monday, September first, just
- 38:56Speaker 1: as she prepares now for her fifteenth city booked tour
- 39:00Speaker 1: to promote her memoir one hundred and seven days. But
- 39:04Speaker 1: that's just fine, because the California Highway Patrol stepped in
- 39:08Speaker 1: and offer protection services to the former vice president former
- 39:12Speaker 1: vice president who was never hard or sanctioned or criminalist.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Guy.
- 39:17Speaker 8: Yeah right, he's different, man. He Nothing surprises me from
- 39:23Speaker 8: this man at all. If you want to see if
- 39:27Speaker 8: just look at everything he does, it has no morality
- 39:32Speaker 8: attached to it at all.
- 39:35Speaker 2: If you are looking for if you're looking for.
- 39:39Speaker 8: These qualities, morality, if you are looking for compassion, if
- 39:45Speaker 8: you are looking.
- 39:46Speaker 2: For anything to do with tradition, normally throw it out
- 39:53Speaker 2: the window. This is not the guy. No, this is
- 39:56Speaker 2: not the guy.
- 39:57Speaker 8: And the crazy part is the entire Republican Party will
- 40:05Speaker 8: back and support anything and everything he does. And that's
- 40:12Speaker 8: the sadness of it. And the Democrats can't stop it
- 40:16Speaker 8: because they don't have enough seats. They don't have enough,
- 40:19Speaker 8: they don't control nothing, and so the Democrats can't do nothing.
- 40:22Speaker 8: And look, man, the only chance the Democrats have is Morland.
- 40:29Speaker 8: Uh the governor of Maryland, West Moreland, Gavin.
- 40:35Speaker 9: Newsom, California. Yeah, yeah, I'm so proud of his Instagram.
- 40:44Speaker 9: He doesn't he it's a beast and he's tall and handsome,
- 40:52Speaker 9: the exact opposite.
- 40:56Speaker 2: He does not care.
- 41:01Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean that's that's what we have so far.
- 41:06Speaker 1: That's it right now, that's what's going on?

- 53:37Speaker 12: Let's see.
- 53:37Speaker 9: I know it's a night.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Let's see. Let's see. I keep driving, and then I
- 53:42Speaker 2: got a certain strategy. You know, I'm I'm stopping. I'm
- 53:49Speaker 2: stopping a little old small service stations in the hood,
- 53:52Speaker 2: and then way in, going way out in the rule area.
- 53:56Speaker 2: I'm out there too.
- 53:58Speaker 1: So many other people have that same Let me just
- 54:01Speaker 1: get one over here, just one, yeah, all right, and I'm.
- 54:04Speaker 12: Gonna go over here. I'm about a hundred over here.
- 54:06Speaker 12: Give me one hundred over here. I got a strategy
- 54:09Speaker 12: of it, worthing, do the same thing. I'll pull up
- 54:12Speaker 12: in the service stage. If I see a food truck
- 54:14Speaker 12: at the service stations, I'm going in there. Got a
- 54:16Speaker 12: food said, I want you in there and get my ticket.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I'm back out there again. I in these streets. I'm
- 54:25Speaker 2: in these powerball streets.
- 54:27Speaker 9: Why that's right. What would you do if you won
- 54:30Speaker 9: all that money one more time?
- 54:32Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 54:33Speaker 12: I would fake my death right in front of my family,
- 54:38Speaker 12: in front of them. Yes, I'm gonna go get this
- 54:41Speaker 12: real high tech guy out out out of Hollywood. That's
- 54:44Speaker 12: just gonna make me just go up and flames right
- 54:47Speaker 12: there in front of everybody. Y'all had a funeral, Do
- 54:49Speaker 12: y'all thing, and I can assure you life will go on.
- 54:53Speaker 12: Y'all don't need me around, I promise you don't. You
- 54:56Speaker 12: don't need to see what I'm finna do with this money. Okay,
- 55:00Speaker 12: you don't need to see it, but you do need to.
- 55:02Speaker 12: But you do need to see the nephew in Huntsville, Alabama.
- 55:06Speaker 12: That would be September nineteen and twenty, Levity Live Comedy Club,
- 55:10Speaker 12: Levity Live Comedy Club, Huntsville. A nephew coming back through

- 56:45Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject My husband ruined my summer.
- 56:50Speaker 1: My husband ruined my summer. Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty
- 56:54Speaker 1: nine year old married woman. It's my first marriage and
- 56:58Speaker 1: my husband's second marriage. He has a nine year old
- 57:01Speaker 1: daughter from his first marriage, and she spent two weeks
- 57:03Speaker 1: with us this summer. We've been married for almost five years,
- 57:07Speaker 1: but this is the first time that his ex wife
- 57:10Speaker 1: let her come stay with us, and I understand it
- 57:12Speaker 1: because she's older now. She lives in Pensacola, so my
- 57:16Speaker 1: husband drove her home and stayed overnight, and then drove back.
- 57:21Speaker 1: He didn't want me to ride down with him, and
- 57:23Speaker 1: I didn't press the issue. He's big on making his
- 57:26Speaker 1: daughter feel comfortable since it was her first time seeing
- 57:29Speaker 1: him around another woman.
- 57:31Speaker 10: Me.
- 57:32Speaker 1: What bothered me was that he refused to sleep in
- 57:35Speaker 1: the room with me the whole time his daughter was there.
- 57:38Speaker 1: He slept in the spare bedroom next to the room
- 57:41Speaker 1: his daughter slept in. He said she's too young to
- 57:44Speaker 1: understand that he has a new wife that replaced her Mommy.
- 57:48Speaker 1: It's BS to me, and I told him it was
- 57:50Speaker 1: BS every morning that he woke up and every night
- 57:53Speaker 1: that he went to the other room. He told me,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I'm naive and I would understand if I had a
- 57:59Speaker 1: child of my mid This was the perfect time to
- 58:02Speaker 1: let his child know that she is a stepmom and
- 58:04Speaker 1: I'm not going anywhere. But instead, he allowed his daughter
- 58:08Speaker 1: to refer to me as quotes she and her. I
- 58:12Speaker 1: want her to acknowledge me as a parental figure, but
- 58:15Speaker 1: he says it's too soon for her to process all
- 58:17Speaker 1: of this. I want to know what he and his
- 58:20Speaker 1: ex wife have been telling her. Seems odd that she
- 58:23Speaker 1: doesn't know what a step parent is by now, what
- 58:26Speaker 1: am I missing? Was my husband wrong for acting like
- 58:29Speaker 1: we're not a married couple? Or am I being naive?
- 58:33Speaker 9: Like he said? No, You're not being naive.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Your husband is being ridiculous. He's acting like a scared
- 58:41Speaker 1: little boy.
- 58:42Speaker 9: His daughter is not a baby, and at nine years old,
- 58:45Speaker 9: she is more than capable of understanding that daddy is
- 58:48Speaker 9: remarried and you are his new wife.
- 58:51Speaker 1: She knows he doesn't live with you. She knows he
- 58:56Speaker 1: doesn't live with you and mommy anymore. Okay, she is
- 59:00Speaker 1: old enough to be sat down and talked to. She
- 59:03Speaker 1: needs to know the truth because, like you say, you're
- 59:06Speaker 1: not going anywhere. I get that he loves her and
- 59:08Speaker 1: he wants to break it to her gently, but not
- 59:10Speaker 1: at your expense. Who does I mean? Who does his
- 59:13Speaker 1: daughter think you are anyway? I mean you're there at
- 59:16Speaker 1: the house with her dad. Why does she think you're
- 59:19Speaker 1: living there? He's making you pay for something he and
- 59:23Speaker 1: his ex should have taken care of long before the
- 59:25Speaker 1: child came to stay there. I think it's very rude
- 59:28Speaker 1: for her to refer to you as she and her,
- 59:31Speaker 1: not even saying your name or giving you a title
- 59:34Speaker 1: or anything. That's on the parents to set her straight
- 59:38Speaker 1: on that. I don't think he should even allow that.
- 59:41Speaker 1: He's put you, his wife of five years, in the
- 59:44Speaker 1: most awkward space possible by not telling the little girl
- 59:47Speaker 1: who you are. You don't need to have a child
- 59:50Speaker 1: of your own to know that this is, like you say, bs,
- 59:54Speaker 1: shame on him for allowing his ex and his daughter
- 59:57Speaker 1: to treat you this way. I mean, he's treating you
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: horribly too, So speak up for yourself. Tell him to
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: let everyone involved in this mess know what's going on.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: The daughter, the mother, him, everybody. His exit needs to
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: be in agreement, because they should have nipped this in
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: the bud a long time ago.
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: Steve, Normally, when we do these letters, I try to
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: offer maybe a counterbalance to something surely says right, so
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: the letter becomes interesting, so we're not beating the same.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Drum over and up and over. Right.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: I can't offer a counter here because this letter is
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: wrong on so many levels. You know, you're forty nine,
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: you're on your first marriage, just your husband's second. He
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: got a nine year old from his first marriage. Well,
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: the subject is my husband ruined my summer. But I
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: think we're only talking about two weeks.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: HEO.
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: We've been married for almost five years, but this is
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: the first time. Now they've been married five years, so
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: that means he's been away from the daughter of a
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: minimum of four years, but longer than that. See, the
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: divorce is when the court makes it legal. You probably
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: were separated or something. You didn't just wake up exactly
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: five years ago and go, hey, we divorced, and it
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: went down the court and they gave it to you.
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: It's a process. So let's say the girl was three
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: when you're filed for divorce. Then the girl turned four
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: and you got the divorce. So it's been five years
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: since your daddy hasn't been around the girl in her
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: life because you've been married to this woman for five
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: years now and the first time she's let us stay
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: with y'all cause she's older now and you know you
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: don't have a problem with the ex right, So they
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: live in Pensacola.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Now, your husband, let's start with this part.
- 1:01:50Speaker 9: He drove.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: To pick up his daughter. He didn't want you to go.
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: I understood that because maybe he wanted to spend that
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: time with this little girl, kind of prep her for
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: things to come, and spend some time with him and
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: make her feel special. And i' say, okay, Well, he's
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: big on making his daughter feel comfortable, like I said,
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: and this is our first time seeing him around another woman.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Well, that dad ain't been at the house for five
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: years now.
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: I don't know where you think daddy was and what
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: you think daddy was doing, but it's time that you
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: found out. What bothered me was he refuses to sleep
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: in the room with me the whole time his daughter
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: was there. He slept in the spare bedroom next to
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: the room she slept in. And said she's too young
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: to understand that he has a new wife that replaced
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: her mama. That is complete, Bs. She is not too young,
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: she is nine. These are the facts, and y'all should
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: have explained it to her so she can start coping
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: with it. This delayed learning thing y'all allowing her to
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: do is bad for everybody, including the little girl.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: I have always come back.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: All right, all right, Steve, we'll have part two of
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: your responds coming up at twenty three minutes after today's
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, subject my husband ruined my summer. We'll get
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Morning Show.

- 1:03:26Speaker 11: something hugely valuable, equity. It's the portion of your home

- 1:03:32Speaker 11: And Rocket Mortgage is here to help you turn your

- 1:03:47Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve. Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: The subject is my husband ruined my summer.
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: Well, the summer got ruined, but it's really over the
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: two weeks that this girl came to stay with them.
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: This woman and man have been married five years. This
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: is second marriage. He had a little girl from a
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: previous relationship who's nine. They've been married five years and
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: this is the first time that the wife has allowed
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: the daughter to spend time with him.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Over extended period of time because she's old enough, so
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: that was good.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: They live out of state, so he goes to drive
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: to Pennsilcola to get the daughter and ask you not
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: to go so he could spend some time with his daughter.
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: I understood that, you know, he could talk freely, make
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: his daughter comfortable. He's big on making his daughter comfortable.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: And they were a little concerned because this is the
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: first time that the little girl would see him around
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: another woman that's not his mommy.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: Well, the other woman is his wife.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: He ain't around another woman the little girl, mama is
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: the other woman right now, this other woman is the wife.
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: Now on this letter, I blamed the husband and the
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: ex wife because they created this entire situation.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Right here. Here was the crazy part.
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: They get to the house and he refused to sleep
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: in the room with his wife the whole time his
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: daughter was there.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: He slept in the spare room down there next to
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: his daughter.
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: Because he said she's too young to understand that he
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: has a new wife that replaced her mama.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Well, ain't that what happened though? Ain't that what happened?
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: So for the past five years that you've been living
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: with this other woman. Who is your wife that replaced
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: her mama? What y'all been telling this little girl?
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: What you been doing?
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: You was in what was you in prison? You had
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: went to the store. But what y'all been telling this
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: little girl? And you said as BS to me? And
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: I told him it was Bs every morning that he
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: woke up and every night he went to the other
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: room and you met him. Are one thousand percent correct?
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: Because it is. He told me that I'm naive and
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: I would understand that if I had a child of
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: my own. Well, ain't that about the dumbest thing in
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: the world. I think you're naive and you would understand
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: if you had a child of your own. I think
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: fire hot, But I ain't got to get on set
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: on fire to know that what part of you not
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: telling the nine year old that I'm your wife is
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: helpful to anybody in this house. So who does this
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: little girl think this other woman is? You should explain
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: to her. And I'm gonna tell you something, my man.
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: You spending the night in that other room and not
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: what your wife is setting a bad example to your
- 1:06:46Speaker 8: daughter because now your daughter is not clear of how
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: women should be treated. Because now, who is this other
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: woman in this room down the hallway. It is called
- 1:06:59Speaker 8: a family, and you should give her the idea of
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: what her family was. Now, me and your mommy had
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: a family together, but we didn't work or work out together,
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: so we separated. We still love us parents, but the
- 1:07:15Speaker 8: two of us didn't get along, so it was best
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: that we didn't live together. But we are still co
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: parenting and we both love you. Now I have a family.
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: Now I have a new wife. See the problem is
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: here go the problem. The mama ain't found nobody. And
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: so now she over there, she half mad, and that
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: and and and.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. When you said that, uh,
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: this was the perfect time to let his child know
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: She that she has a step mom and I'm not
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: going anywhere.
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: But instead he allowed his daughter to refer to me
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: as she and her and I want her to acknowledge
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: me as a parental figure.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: Well that's cool.
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: I don't know what name you prefer, you know, Mama
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: EM or miss h or or Mama T some I
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: don't know what other name you want to be a
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: parental name, but you get whatever you want.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: But the problem is the mama then told her that
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: you go over there.
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: But that ain't your mama. I'm your mama, and don't
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: you call nobody else mom except me. Oh, she's been
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: instruct because children are not that evil. Children don't own
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: their own She heard, she has heard this saying, and
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: she's repeating what she's been told or over her. You
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: want to be acknowledged as to that. But he said
- 1:08:58Speaker 8: it's too soon for her to process all of this. Well,
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: let me ask you something, brother, when is she supposed
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: to be able to process that You ain't coming back.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: It's been five years. You don't think that little girl
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: then figured this out? No, man, this is some hogwash
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: you and your ex have put together.
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: And brother, you kind of handpecked to me a little
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: bit to your ex because your loyalty should be to
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: your new wife, not to your ex. So to me, man,
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: you kind of hand pecked to your ex wife. I
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: don't know what she got hanging over your head. I
- 1:09:32Speaker 8: don't know how y'all have decided to co parent his daughter,
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: but teaching her disrespect is not a good thing. I
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: want to know what he and his ex wife have
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: been telling her. That you ain't his mama, that you
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: ain't her mama. She ain't got to call you her mama.
- 1:09:48Speaker 8: And that that right there that they have ain't even
- 1:09:51Speaker 8: real because she destroyed your original family with me and
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: your daddy.

- 1:12:48Speaker 2: So you know.
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: It's gonna get to it. Also know what tomorrow is

- 1:13:47Speaker 2: You're throwing the ball to your people that ain't making
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: the playoffs.
- 1:13:50Speaker 9: All right, Thank you, Ju, and you're welcome back.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, a fifteen
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: year old woman Steve needs some advice after she's dated
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a man for eight years. We'll get into that right
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: All right, This is from Quinn in Minneapolis. Quinn says,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I'm a fifty year old single woman, but I live
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: with my boyfriend of eight years. I've recently started referring
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to myself as single because my man told me that
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: we don't need a piece of paper saying we're a couple.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: He said a wedding would be a waste of time.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: I don't plan to make any drastic moves right now,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: but I'm open to dating other people. Am I crazy
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: to want a wedding and to be legally married after
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: eight years?
- 1:14:39Speaker 8: Well, I think it's crazy for you to say you're
- 1:14:41Speaker 8: open to dating other people. Y'all live together. I don't
- 1:14:47Speaker 8: know why women y'all are so accepting of this new
- 1:14:52Speaker 8: way of doing things when you really want the old
- 1:14:55Speaker 8: fashioned thing. You want to be somebody's wife, and you
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: want to be married and have a family. Structure now
- 1:15:03Speaker 8: because some dudes done set up here and told you
- 1:15:05Speaker 8: you don't need a piece of paper between us, and
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: you set up there and let that happen. Now you
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: just set up there and build a life with this dude.
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: And now he then told you he don't need a
- 1:15:14Speaker 8: piece of paper to be I don't care what he said.
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: What about what you want now? This thing that you're
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: saying about, I want to be open to dating? How
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: where are y'all going?
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Cause you can't get dressed and lead that house with
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: a skirt on and some makeup.
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: And your had done and some heels and then tell
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: this dude that's sitting up in here paying bills with you,
- 1:15:42Speaker 8: I'm going on a date. Girl, Girl, you put the
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: whole cart in front of the horse. Now, now now
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: you want to start changing moves, it will never happen.
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: You are not single, and he didn't told and you
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: not start dating?
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: What do you know? You got it? You got it,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: you got you got you gotta tell this god, this
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: is the deal.
- 1:16:09Speaker 8: If you want this to continue to continue, I have
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: to be married or else I'm out.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: And then you have then you go out and then
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: you can start dating. Okay, But you're not. You can't
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: date from this man's how you cannot do that? Yeah?
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: All right, all right, great advice. Thank you.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: We have time for another one, Steve. This is from
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Rashid in Brooklyn. Rashid says, I had a female over
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: at my house during the week and my girlfriend came
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: to visit me this past weekend. When my girlfriend got
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: in my bed, she immediately said she could smell another woman.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: That was impossible because I bought new sheets for her visit.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: What is it about women that make them so suspicious
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: of everything?
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: No, it's not suspicion, dog, it's called intuition. You got
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: the wrong issue. It's no suspicion, it's intuition.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: See. See, you need to get your issues together.
- 1:17:08Speaker 8: Because if you think that you can have a woman
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: over your house and then me and your girlfriend over
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: the house and she ain't gonna know it, I can't
- 1:17:18Speaker 8: even explain it to you. Though, I can't even explain
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: it to you, but you are beyond stupid, Sid. And
- 1:17:27Speaker 8: then you said you went and bought some new sheets.
- 1:17:30Speaker 8: She said she could smell another woman.
- 1:17:33Speaker 9: Smell another woman?
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: Now, bro, the only way you could have slept with
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: this girl and your wife not know it if y'all
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: had to did it in there on the kitchen float
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: and then you mocked with a swift though.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: That's the only way.
- 1:17:58Speaker 8: That's the only way with them as some pine solid fabulous,
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: that's only Wait. If that girl, yeah, if that girl
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: done touched air piece of fabric in that, we will
- 1:18:15Speaker 8: know they know.
- 1:18:19Speaker 9: True dogs.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: She knows how your toothbrushes is arranged.
- 1:18:23Speaker 12: Don't do it.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: She'll see a fangerprint on the corner of the medicine cabinet.
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: Yeah, we got it.
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: Like you can't have no teeth marks in your head
- 1:18:31Speaker 8: board because they wasn't here last week.
- 1:18:36Speaker 9: Worry, you can't have no teeth marks your.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Head board cause there last week.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: All right, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: we'll have more of the no head board.
- 1:18:52Speaker 9: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Well, if you forgot to buy Powerball ticket for last
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: night's massive one point three billion with a b billion
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: dollar jackpot, you're in luck because there was no winner.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: There was no winner, Okay. The winning numbers and Monday's
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: drawing were eight, twenty three, twenty five, forty and fifty
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: three with a red power ball of five. Okay, there
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: were ten tickets that won one million dollars in prizes.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: The jackpot for the next drawing is tonight, and it's
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: now up to a hefty one point three billion.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: The lumpstick who had a million dollars?
- 1:19:39Speaker 9: They had some of the numbers five five.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Powerball is a million dollars. The powerball has to match. Yes,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: that's why it's so hard. So if you get six
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: numbers but the powerball number, well yeah, but.
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: You can only get six with the powerball numbers five
- 1:19:59Speaker 9: without the power ball number.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: But you need that powerball number for the sixth number
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: to win. Okay, So hold on, let me ask you
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: a question.
- 1:20:06Speaker 8: Now, it's six numbers that they pull, right, right, Let's
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: say the powerball number powerball number is seventeen, but your
- 1:20:15Speaker 8: number seventeen is not in that powerball window, right.
- 1:20:20Speaker 9: It has to match.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: I know because I had the powerball number when it
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: was seventeen. Yeah, but I didn't have now the numbers.
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: Fives there you know what you got for that?
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Photouts All right, coming up next, guys, we'll play around it,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: would you rather?

- 1:22:52Speaker 2: I have met every other living song.
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: I met Richard Prior, I met Bill Cosby, I met
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: Mohammad Ali, I met everybody I ever looked. I've been
- 1:23:05Speaker 8: with Barack Obama several times. Tiger is the only dude.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: So I'm gonna come on.
- 1:23:20Speaker 8: I'm gonna pick the golf lessons with Tiger because then
- 1:23:23Speaker 8: I will have completed.

- 1:24:37Speaker 14: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:40Speaker 9: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:25:16Speaker 9: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:25:18Speaker 9: the day. Wow, it's been a fun day. We've had
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: a good time today, yep, Monday. And what did we learn?
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: What did we learn?
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: We spent twelve hundred on the lottery in one ninety.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: Twelve pay off.
- 1:25:34Speaker 9: Tonight gone.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: But let's go big, Tommy, going back, going right back.
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: Junior's back, yup, Welcome.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Welcome back, and the dreams remains that you come around.
- 1:25:50Speaker 9: Well, that was one of your favorites, wasn't it.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: I just love welcome by Carter Junior.
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: Were you around when Welcome back everything?
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: He was still in panthers.
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: I was in the pin watching it.
- 1:26:03Speaker 8: Nobody ain't nobody finish? And don't quit asking him questions?
- 1:26:09Speaker 9: All right, Steve, come on take us out, you.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: Know, uh surely.
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: And I were talking a minute ago as I was
- 1:26:20Speaker 8: thinking about my clothes, remarks, what I might say, and
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: it the topic came up of regrets.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: Do I have any regrets?
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: And you know, of course, everybody, everybody's had something happened
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: to them, and you don't lie. Everybody has had something
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: happened to them that they wish didn't happen. That's I
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: don't know a person that's you know, people caiming I
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: have no regrets, Well, yeah, that's I mean, it's easy
- 1:26:53Speaker 8: to say that once it's over, that you have no regrets.
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: But I've been in so many regretful situations I can't
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: even explain it. And so yes, of course there are
- 1:27:07Speaker 8: things I wished had never happened to me. But on
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: the other side of all of those regrets is the
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: reason why it happened. And that's the key that you
- 1:27:21Speaker 8: have to get to. Because if you wallow in regret,
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: if you sit there and mimic it, rerun it, relive it,
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: remain in the condition that it caused, what good is
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: that to you?
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: What good is that? Regret serves no purpose. Regret is
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: like guilt.
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: It's two of the most useless emotions that we have
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: because guilt serves no purpose for anybody except the person
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: that's applying it.
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: Guilt is crazy, man.
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: Have you ever noticed that every time you feel guilty
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: is usually a person behind it that's making you feel guilty.
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: Have you ever noticed that you don't just wake up
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: and feel guilty? Man, I got a great life. Man,
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: It's crazy. I shouldn't be living this good?
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: Why? Why?
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: Because I can assure you somebody has said something to
- 1:28:21Speaker 8: you to make you feel that way. Regret, y'all, this
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: is the way I handled regret. Regret has been a
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: part of my foundation. The things that happened to me
- 1:28:36Speaker 8: that I wished had not happened to me, I made
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: them a part of my foundation.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: I can stand on all my regrets right now, and
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: I do. I stand on all of them.
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: I realized the mistakes I made, I owned up to them,
- 1:28:52Speaker 8: I learned the valuable lesson that I needed to learn.
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: But I also came away with the blessing that it created.
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: So regret has become one of the stabilizing forces of
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: my foundation. Also, anything I ever regretted has really brightened
- 1:29:12Speaker 8: my future because guess what, I bet I don't do
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: that again. Oh my goodness, how many times have you
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: had a regretful moment that taught you a valuable lesson?
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: See that's what they're for, y'all. Those regrettable moments. They
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: build character. They help shape your future. See, once you
- 1:29:35Speaker 8: you know you know what, man, you know what kind
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: of like you know, the older you get and you're
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: talking to a young person. You're trying to give a
- 1:29:41Speaker 8: young person some advice, and then when they ask you
- 1:29:44Speaker 8: for the advice and you start telling them, and then
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: they gonna say no, but I was gonna do it
- 1:29:48Speaker 8: like this and no, and you say, I stop them
- 1:29:52Speaker 8: all the time.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: I said, listen, listen, listen, man, I don't seen this
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: movie before. It ain't gonna end well. I was the
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: star in that scene, that scene you just described. I
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: was the star in that scene you just described. And
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now it's not gonna end well. Oh,
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: but they keep on talking about well, I was gonna
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: do it this way, and I don't go that way.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Listen to me, man.
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: You can walk around the Marlberry Bush any kind of
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: way you want to. You can skip, you can crawl,
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: you can belly, you can army crawl, you can get
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: up in one leg, hop it. You can walk backwards
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: around the Marlberry Bush. But when you go round to
- 1:30:36Speaker 8: Marlberry Bush and you come back, this is what's gonna happen.
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: And see, that's the problem. Sometimes when you're trying to
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: forewarn a person about something that you live through as regret,
- 1:30:47Speaker 8: sometimes you just gotta let them go. That's that's where
- 1:30:51Speaker 8: sayings come on, you know, that's where sayings come from.
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: Like you just don't believe fat meat, greasy, let me
- 1:30:57Speaker 8: eat some. Go ahead, but listen to me. Regret has
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: taught me so much, and I'm grateful for every regretful
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: moment I've had. But if you have some regretful moments,
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: quit wallowing in it.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: Stand on it.
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: Yeah I did it. Yeah that was me, my bad,
- 1:31:16Speaker 8: my mistake. I'm sorry. I've apologized. I've asked God for forgiveness.
- 1:31:21Speaker 8: I've asked you for forgiveness. Now the fact that you
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: won't forgive me, that's on you. God is in the
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: forgiving business. I take all the regrets, put it on
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: my foundation, and it helps shape my future. So you
- 1:31:36Speaker 8: know what, Hope I don't have too many more regrets,
- 1:31:39Speaker 8: But if I do, I packed that away as a
- 1:31:42Speaker 8: lesson well learned. Also, those are my closing remarks. Hey, y'all,
- 1:31:45Speaker 8: listen to this important fact. Please talk to God to go.
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: He would absolute love to hear from us. He loves you.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: Don't forget me, y'all. Have a great day today for all.
