Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / The Rise of the Smiling Socialist Elites, Nigeria’s Silent Christian Crisis & Bill Gates from Alarmist to Realist Week In Review
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz, we can review
- 0:02Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you. And here are some big stories
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:07Speaker 1: First off, Mandani and Gavin Newsom. They're marketing Marxism and
- 0:12Speaker 1: socialism to the American voter like never before. Will there
- 0:16Speaker 1: be backlash. We're going to break that down for you. Also,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Center Cruse and I set down with an incredible leader
- 0:23Speaker 1: to talk about Christian abuse in Nigeria and why the
- 0:27Speaker 1: media isn't covering this story but we are here and
- 0:30Speaker 1: it's important. And finally Bill Gates reversing course on global warming.
- 0:36Speaker 1: So how much money was made off of selling you
- 0:39Speaker 1: on the big scam? It's the week in Review and
- 0:43Speaker 1: it starts right now.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Did you hear Gavin Newsom on the podcast discussing his rough,
- 0:48Speaker 2: hard scrabble life eating wonderbread growing up in the hood,
- 0:52Speaker 2: because you know, Gavin was an oppressed youth.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Did you see that it was almost as oppress as
- 1:01Speaker 1: he was during the COVID lockdowns when he was the
- 1:02Speaker 1: only one allowed to have dinner with his friends without
- 1:04Speaker 1: mass on.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You know, Look, to be clear, Gavin Newsom is California Royalties,
- 1:09Speaker 2: fourth or fifth generation California old Money. His daddy was
- 1:16Speaker 2: one of the lead lawyers for the Getty billionaire fortune.
- 1:23Speaker 2: He grew up, he was featured in the San Francisco
- 1:26Speaker 2: Paper in an article entitled growing Up Rich. And to
- 1:30Speaker 2: be clear, he started a winery with the Getty millions
- 1:34Speaker 2: billions actually but millions from them. Started a winery at
- 1:37Speaker 2: age twenty five. Now, Benjamin, let me ask you, did
- 1:40Speaker 2: you start a winery at h twenty five? No?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Well, I felt like I worked really hard, but I
- 1:45Speaker 1: promise you it was not a winery at twenty five.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And look, it's okay. I don't fault Gavin for the
- 1:53Speaker 2: success of his parents, or his grandparents or his great
- 1:56Speaker 2: great grandparents. And it's amazing how many leftists were raised
- 2:00Speaker 2: with silver spoons and inserted just about any place you
- 2:03Speaker 2: can insert a spoon. But when he pretends like he's
- 2:07Speaker 2: on this this NBA podcast and he's talking about, oh,
- 2:11Speaker 2: I just had to support myself. I had to support
- 2:13Speaker 2: myself playing ball, like what a load, what a croc?
- 2:21Speaker 2: And it's pathological Newsom is running a different scam than
- 2:27Speaker 2: Mandanni is, but it's the same scam. It is marketing Marxism, socialism,
- 2:35Speaker 2: confiscatory government power and trying to make it. I will
- 2:39Speaker 2: say this, I'm gonna compliment right now both Comrade Mondani
- 2:43Speaker 2: and Gavin Newsom they got great smiles. I mean, to
- 2:47Speaker 2: be honest, every dentist in America must be like, look
- 2:49Speaker 2: at those pearly whitesors smile like it. And you know,
- 2:55Speaker 2: I got to say and I'll say this as as
- 2:58Speaker 2: a Cuban American whose family you know, fled Cuba, it
- 3:02Speaker 2: really feels better if you're a dissident being lined up
- 3:05Speaker 2: from the firing squad, if you know that the communist
- 3:07Speaker 2: ordering your death or smiling like it really makes it
- 3:10Speaker 2: less painful as you're sent to the gulag. To know
- 3:16Speaker 2: it's a good looking tyrant who is sending me to
- 3:19Speaker 2: the Gulag, But sadly that's where we are. And can
- 3:26Speaker 2: I ask you one more question on this topic? Sure,
- 3:29Speaker 2: is there is there a single sane Democrat who is
- 3:34Speaker 2: calling out Comrade Mom, Donnie or Gavin Douso on these issues.
- 3:40Speaker 1: No, because they created these crazies and they allowed them
- 3:43Speaker 1: to fester in their party and they literally didn't police
- 3:46Speaker 1: their party. So this is the Democratic Party now and
- 3:49Speaker 1: their leaders are not Democrats. They are commies, they are socialists,
- 3:53Speaker 1: they are Marxists. Just look around the country. This is
- 3:56Speaker 1: who they are.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, the elected members of the Democrat Party, particularly
- 4:00Speaker 2: on the national scene, they're scared. They're scared of the mob.
- 4:06Speaker 2: They're scared of the angry left wing radicals with torches
- 4:12Speaker 2: and pitchforks. We saw this at the No King's rally,
- 4:15Speaker 2: where they're terrified. We're in the middle, we're in day
- 4:17Speaker 2: twenty seven of the Schumer shutdown, because they're terrified of
- 4:20Speaker 2: the mob, and so elected Democrats are terrified. But again, listen,
- 4:26Speaker 2: we endeavor on this podcast to try to be real,
- 4:29Speaker 2: to try to have facts, to try not to engage
- 4:32Speaker 2: in just empty partisan rhetoric. So maybe you might say,
- 4:36Speaker 2: all right, Cruz Ferguson that they're not the most impartial,
- 4:41Speaker 2: unbiased observers if you're not inclined to listen to us,
- 4:45Speaker 2: Although I will say, if you've made it twenty nine
- 4:47Speaker 2: minutes into this podcast and you're not inclined to listen
- 4:49Speaker 2: to us, wow, you've got some endurance. Bravos of you,
- 4:52Speaker 2: But indulge in indulge the setup. Nonetheless, if you're not
- 4:58Speaker 2: inclined to listen to us, perhaps you would be inclined
- 5:01Speaker 2: to listen to Bill Maher. Bill Maher is a liberal,
- 5:04Speaker 2: he is a Democrat. He's been a liberal and his
- 5:06Speaker 2: democrat a Democrat his whole life. Listen to what Bill
- 5:10Speaker 2: Maher had to say, the warning to Democrats he had
- 5:13Speaker 2: to say about comrade Mundani.
- 5:16Speaker 3: The Democrats, let's face it, they're kind of split. Now
- 5:18Speaker 3: there's the far left version that did not do too
- 5:22Speaker 3: well in recent elections, and then people like the governors
- 5:24Speaker 3: say we've got to come back to the middle, common sense,
- 5:27Speaker 3: And whenever this discussion comes up, this is what you
- 5:29Speaker 3: hear a lot. We need a sister soldier moment a
- 5:32Speaker 3: time when some issue with the Democrat says, look, I'm
- 5:35Speaker 3: not with the far left, and this is how you
- 5:37Speaker 3: know you can trust me that I'm not. I think
- 5:41Speaker 3: I have the issue, okay, and it's the mayor's race
- 5:44Speaker 3: in New York. I think he seems like a sweet guy,
- 5:48Speaker 3: mum donni. But I would just like to say, because
- 5:52Speaker 3: the election is in a couple of weeks, this is
- 5:56Speaker 3: not just New York that's on the ballot. I think
- 5:59Speaker 3: the whole demokrat credit in the country is on the ballot,
- 6:02Speaker 3: and the whole country would be looking at this race
- 6:05Speaker 3: to see which way are the Democrats going to go. No,
- 6:08Speaker 3: Andrew Cuomo may not be that exciting and that inspirational,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but you know, for a party that said we want
- 6:13Speaker 3: to get back to normal, he's kind of normal.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I mean, what, well, he's done some things in his history.
- 6:22Speaker 3: That well, we did a deep dive on that because
- 6:27Speaker 3: we had him on the show. A lot of it
- 6:29Speaker 3: is kind of bulls. I mean maybe he was a
- 6:32Speaker 3: little too handsy, a little too Italian, Uh, a little
- 6:35Speaker 3: too touchy. You know, he did not to Italian, that's
- 6:40Speaker 3: what he said. You know, yes, you know you did
- 6:43Speaker 3: not get the memo.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I mean it's when you're having to defend Cuomo to
- 6:48Speaker 1: try to save your party, you're not in a good place.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Well, but Bill Maher, and let's be clear, Bill Maher
- 6:54Speaker 2: did not vote for Donald Trump. Bill Maher would not
- 6:57Speaker 2: vote for me. He is a liberal, he is a Democrat.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But Bill Maher every day makes more and more sense
- 7:04Speaker 2: because his party has gone so batcrap crazy that he
- 7:07Speaker 2: believes in things like free speech, he believes in things
- 7:12Speaker 2: like not supporting a communist government that seizes private property
- 7:16Speaker 2: and the means of production in society. He doesn't want
- 7:23Speaker 2: to support Hamas terrorists and other jahatists that used to
- 7:29Speaker 2: be mainstream, that used to be all of those propositions
- 7:32Speaker 2: were things. It used to be the case that Republicans
- 7:35Speaker 2: and Democrats came together. Look Bill Clinton. When Bill Clinton
- 7:38Speaker 2: was president, neither you nor I supported Bill Clinton. We
- 7:42Speaker 2: did not vote for Bill Clinton. But you know what
- 7:45Speaker 2: the Bill Clinton election when he was elected, it was
- 7:48Speaker 2: not the fate of Western civilization. It was not do
- 7:52Speaker 2: we elect a communist jihadist. I would have rather a
- 7:56Speaker 2: Republican be elected. But the world didn't end when Bill
- 7:59Speaker 2: Clinton got elected. Bill Clinton's views. If you took a
- 8:02Speaker 2: candidate with the identical policy views of Bill Clinton and
- 8:05Speaker 2: ran him today, they would tar and feather him and
- 8:08Speaker 2: drive him out of the Democrat Party. He would be
- 8:11Speaker 2: completely an.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Entirely as president.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He would not get elected. He probably wouldn't get elected
- 8:16Speaker 2: as a Democrat dogcatcher because they have radicalized and they
- 8:21Speaker 2: instead want someone like Comrade Monami, whose party says release
- 8:26Speaker 2: the terrorists, who murders Jews because they're Jews. That's where
- 8:31Speaker 2: their radical base is. And and you know some of
- 8:35Speaker 2: y'all may not may not know what a sister Soldier
- 8:38Speaker 2: moment is. And and sister Soldier actually refers to Bill Clinton.
- 8:41Speaker 2: When Bill Clinton was running for president, Sister Soldier was
- 8:45Speaker 2: was this rapper and and and Bill Clinton denounced her
- 8:49Speaker 2: in the middle of the primary, and it was viewed
- 8:51Speaker 2: as as a brave moment of sort of taking on
- 8:54Speaker 2: his base. But it demonstrated to the voters, or it
- 8:57Speaker 2: was perceived to demonstrate to the voter that he was
- 9:00Speaker 2: reasonable and rational and not a crazy nutcase. And it
- 9:04Speaker 2: is an interesting question. Is there even one national Democrat?
- 9:10Speaker 2: By the way, Gavin Newsom wants to be elected president,
- 9:12Speaker 2: can he denounce Mundami? Jamie Pritzker wants to be elected president?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Can he do it? Corey Booker wants to, Chris Murphy
- 9:20Speaker 2: wants to. None of them are going to because look,
- 9:25Speaker 2: John Fetterman has been critical. But John Fetterman, I think
- 9:28Speaker 2: the Democrat Party is being quite explicit that they're going
- 9:31Speaker 2: to do everything they can to drive him out of
- 9:33Speaker 2: the Democrat Party, just like they would Bill Clinton if
- 9:35Speaker 2: he were there. But I don't know a Democrat, And interestingly,
- 9:41Speaker 2: one ambitious Democrat is there? Nobody looking around Andy Basher,
- 9:46Speaker 2: who's pretending he's a moderate in Kentucky. Josh Shapiro, who
- 9:52Speaker 2: has got to be horrified at what Mondami's saying. Has
- 9:56Speaker 2: he said a word crickets? Crickets, crickets? There is not one,
- 10:03Speaker 2: and maybe that will change. But I fear not just
- 10:09Speaker 2: for the state of the Democrat Party, but I fear
- 10:12Speaker 2: for the future of our republic. I think we do
- 10:15Speaker 2: better when we have two political parties that are reasonable
- 10:18Speaker 2: and rational and have some meaningful disagreements than we do
- 10:21Speaker 2: with one party that is utterly whack job and trying
- 10:24Speaker 2: to destroy America. Look, we've seen through history it is
- 10:29Speaker 2: a pendulum, and it goes from one party to the other.
- 10:32Speaker 2: There will come a time when these lunatics are a
- 10:34Speaker 2: charge of the country again, and they've gotten so extreme
- 10:38Speaker 2: that I really shudder and fear for our great nation.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 10:44Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 10:46Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Now, Nowijan tell us what's happening in Nigeria. And as
- 10:53Speaker 2: you know, I've been very vocal calling out the mass
- 10:57Speaker 2: murder of Christians over fifty thousand Christians have been ordered
- 11:00Speaker 2: in Nigeria. Since two thousand and nine, over twenty thousand
- 11:04Speaker 2: churches and schools have been destroyed, burned to the ground.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And you have Boko Haram and other radical Islamic terrorist
- 11:11Speaker 2: groups that are targeting and persecuting Christians in particular. And
- 11:14Speaker 2: I will tell you the government of Nigeria is very
- 11:16Speaker 2: unhappy with me. They have decried my saying this. I
- 11:19Speaker 2: have introduced legislation to designate them a country a special
- 11:23Speaker 2: concern And the government in Nigeria is very unhappy. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: I've said, look that there are far too many government
- 11:29Speaker 2: leaders who have turned a blind eyed to what is happening,
- 11:31Speaker 2: who have acquiesced in what is happening, who are enforcing
- 11:34Speaker 2: either Sharia laws or blasphemy laws and facilitating the persecution
- 11:39Speaker 2: of Christians. And as I said, the Nigerian government has
- 11:43Speaker 2: been vigorously resisting me in this. Give me your judgment.
- 11:47Speaker 2: What do you see happening in Nigeria and what do
- 11:50Speaker 2: you think is actually the truth.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Nigeria is the most important African country, largest population, and
- 12:02Speaker 4: obviously there's a vying for control between on the one hand,
- 12:07Speaker 4: the Islamic states of Nigeria and the Christian States of Nigeria,
- 12:13Speaker 4: and it used to be about fifty to fifty. But
- 12:17Speaker 4: because the Islamist movement Bokoharam and others, they want to
- 12:22Speaker 4: apply force that Ji had his force. It's sort of
- 12:26Speaker 4: gruesome killing that we've seen in October seven, twenty twenty
- 12:30Speaker 4: three in Israel. So what is going on in Nigeria.
- 12:35Speaker 4: The Islamists in Nigeria are killing Christians, They're burning their churches,
- 12:40Speaker 4: they're raping their women, they are invoking blasphemilos. So in
- 12:46Speaker 4: the southern regions of Nigeria, Sharia law is the law.
- 12:49Speaker 4: And if you say Taed Cruz has you know he
- 12:53Speaker 4: said something bad against Islam, you can have a mob
- 12:56Speaker 4: come and lynch you and there's nothing you can do
- 12:58Speaker 4: about it. But then the government, it should be doing
- 13:00Speaker 4: something about it. And the government isn't doing anything about it. Now,
- 13:04Speaker 4: what is the characteristic of the government of Nigeria. It's corrupt.
- 13:08Speaker 4: The elites in Nigeria, whether they're Muslim or whether they're Christian,
- 13:13Speaker 4: they're in this bubble, and I think that bubble has
- 13:16Speaker 4: to be burist in a comfort bubble. I don't really
- 13:18Speaker 4: think that they care about that much about or are
- 13:21Speaker 4: hell responsible or accountable or transparent for what is going
- 13:25Speaker 4: on with a large majority of the Nigerian population. And
- 13:29Speaker 4: that's what you see. And we give a lot of
- 13:32Speaker 4: money as the United States and legitimacy to this government.
- 13:36Speaker 4: We've got to hold them accountable. And I couldn't be
- 13:40Speaker 4: more pleased that you are involved in this, Senator Cruz.
- 13:43Speaker 4: You're calling them out and you're going to say, if
- 13:45Speaker 4: you want to be our Allian, our friend, we need
- 13:48Speaker 4: you to uphold your end of being a responsible and
- 13:51Speaker 4: responsive government. There's a goal.
- 13:54Speaker 2: There are more Christians being murdered in Nigeria than in
- 13:58Speaker 2: any country on planet Earth. One thing you said that
- 14:00Speaker 2: I thought was interesting and I think many of our
- 14:03Speaker 2: listeners will not have heard this before. You said in
- 14:06Speaker 2: your judgment, Nigeria is the most important African country. To
- 14:11Speaker 2: tell our listeners why that is because many will will
- 14:14Speaker 2: not have a deep familiarity with that.
- 14:17Speaker 4: It has the largest population, it has oil resources, the
- 14:21Speaker 4: population is very young, it's English speaking, highly educated. Let
- 14:25Speaker 4: me just give you an example. Kemi baranoch I hope
- 14:28Speaker 4: the future Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is from
- 14:32Speaker 4: Nigeria and is Christian. So if we were if you know,
- 14:36Speaker 4: in our relationship with right now Prussia, China, et cetera.
- 14:43Speaker 4: I think the continent as a whole, the continent of Africa,
- 14:47Speaker 4: which is home to over a billion people.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yes, and growing a young population that is growing.
- 14:54Speaker 4: It's the youngest population and it's the only population on
- 14:57Speaker 4: planet art that is growing as happy as it's doing right.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And so Nigeria is strategically important. Nigeria is a sort
- 15:07Speaker 4: of country that should be our ally and there is
- 15:11Speaker 4: a huge Christian population that means they share norms and
- 15:16Speaker 4: values with us, and we should not be abandoning Nigeria.
- 15:21Speaker 4: And so the population is pro American, but then they
- 15:26Speaker 4: are let down by their government. And I think that
- 15:28Speaker 4: can change if we were even to bring a little
- 15:32Speaker 4: bit of leverage down on them, because we have that leverage.
- 15:36Speaker 5: When you say a little bit of leverage, what do
- 15:38Speaker 5: you mean, like, what would the leverage look like that
- 15:42Speaker 5: you think could could literally save lives, especially Christian lives
- 15:46Speaker 5: and Nigeria who are being attacked right now.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Well, it starts from the amounts of Development aid money
- 15:54Speaker 4: that we give them. We could apply sanctions we I
- 16:01Speaker 4: mean we.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Well, in my legislation with sanctions particular government officials, so
- 16:08Speaker 2: government officials at the local level who are engaged in
- 16:12Speaker 2: facilitating and acquiescing in this persecution. And so it's designed
- 16:17Speaker 2: to use the power of the US economy and US
- 16:21Speaker 2: sanctions to incentivize different behavior.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Absolutely and incentivized, as legitimates, is really important for them
- 16:31Speaker 4: to keep their money in America to you know, all
- 16:33Speaker 4: of these the private jets they come and they play
- 16:37Speaker 4: in America and American allies even when they play in Europe.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I think we have a say over that, but I
- 16:44Speaker 4: don't want to go into the details of that, but
- 16:47Speaker 4: I think we can leverage our influence to make the
- 16:50Speaker 4: Nigerian government stop the violence immediately. They have shari a
- 16:55Speaker 4: lot in the southern regions. We can and then we say, oh,
- 16:58Speaker 4: human rights is that and other where you have Sharia law,
- 17:03Speaker 4: you do not have human rights? Are you crazy?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Absolutely? Absolutely, And we need to stand up and we
- 17:09Speaker 2: need to fight vigorously to prevent it here in the
- 17:12Speaker 2: United States. Okay, final topic, and we're going to wrap
- 17:14Speaker 2: up in just a couple of minutes. But you were
- 17:17Speaker 2: born in Somalia, as you know. I've publicly called on
- 17:20Speaker 2: the Trump administration to recognize Somaliland as a separate and
- 17:25Speaker 2: independent nation. Tell our viewers what you think about that,
- 17:29Speaker 2: and if you think that makes sense, tell them why I.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Think we should reward Somali Land for what they have achieved.
- 17:37Speaker 4: They have been since nineteen six I mean the former
- 17:42Speaker 4: dictatorial government si Bar, they were massacred. They llewed into
- 17:47Speaker 4: becoming part of Somalia. They became part of Somalia and
- 17:50Speaker 4: they have come to live to regret it. But at
- 17:52Speaker 4: the moment, very quickly, they are the only viable nation state.
- 17:57Speaker 4: They have a homogeneous population, they speak one language, and
- 18:02Speaker 4: there is a narrative of national identity, of common suffering
- 18:05Speaker 4: but also common survival. You know, as a Somali, I
- 18:08Speaker 4: will tell you something I'm not. I'm an American, but
- 18:12Speaker 4: born in Somali. I will say that one of the
- 18:15Speaker 4: things that we Smaris excel at is in vengeance. But
- 18:19Speaker 4: the leadership of Somaliland have decided after nineteen ninety one
- 18:23Speaker 4: that they are not going to channel the energy of
- 18:25Speaker 4: their population into vengeance but build into building. What is
- 18:30Speaker 4: a nation and they are economically violent. I think they
- 18:34Speaker 4: that may have oil and gas. I think that they
- 18:38Speaker 4: could be a strategic partner I admire.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And they want to stand with America. They are standing up.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It is in our national interest to Recognizeiland to have
- 18:53Speaker 2: a major ally on the horn of Africa that is
- 18:57Speaker 2: standing with us. That's significant. And look, I am someone
- 19:01Speaker 2: who is very much America first. We should be putting
- 19:04Speaker 2: American national security interest first and recognize as Somali Land
- 19:08Speaker 2: enhances those interests.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Absolutely, they are absolutely on the same page as as
- 19:13Speaker 4: they Also they've recognized Israel. They have defined they have
- 19:20Speaker 4: a defined territory, they have a permanent population, they issue passports.
- 19:25Speaker 4: But the most important thing is that they hold elections
- 19:31Speaker 4: one man, one vote for president, for parliament and local elections.
- 19:36Speaker 4: And you can come and survey those and see that
- 19:39Speaker 4: they are actually in some ways better than our American elections.
- 19:43Speaker 4: And so I think Somali Land should be rewarded for
- 19:47Speaker 4: the fact that they have built a nation. They do
- 19:49Speaker 4: not rely on development aid. They never relied on US.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Eight.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so please vibrate them from what is Somalia Mogadishi,
- 20:00Speaker 4: which is just a broken hiding place.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Well, Jan, thank you for taking the time, Thank you
- 20:05Speaker 2: for joining us. I think this has been a very
- 20:08Speaker 2: informative podcast. I think our listeners are really going to
- 20:12Speaker 2: get a lot out of it. Let me encourage our
- 20:13Speaker 2: listeners share this podcast if you want your friends, your
- 20:16Speaker 2: family to understand, understand the threat of political Islam, what
- 20:20Speaker 2: it means, what it's meant in Europe, what it means
- 20:23Speaker 2: here in America. I think it is an incredibly important topic.
- 20:28Speaker 2: It is a very real threat. It is a threat
- 20:31Speaker 2: that I am committed to combating. And one of the
- 20:34Speaker 2: purposes of this podcast is to equip you to give
- 20:38Speaker 2: you information that when you're talking with your friends and
- 20:41Speaker 2: families and colleagues and co workers, that you know the
- 20:43Speaker 2: truth and ayan I think this has been very, very
- 20:46Speaker 2: helpful to our listeners. So thank you so much for
- 20:48Speaker 2: joining us.
- 20:49Speaker 1: As before, If you want to hear the rest of
- 20:51Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 20:53Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 20:56Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 21:00Speaker 1: story number three of the week. You may have missed,
- 21:03Speaker 1: all right, So this one is just one of those
- 21:05Speaker 1: segments that I'm just going to enjoy Bill Gates as
- 21:10Speaker 1: a guy that was like the world's gonna end center
- 21:12Speaker 1: and we're all gonna you know die of heat and
- 21:15Speaker 1: global warming is real, and I'm investing in all these
- 21:18Speaker 1: projects and things, and the government should be doing the same.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And now he's like, all, right, screwed, it's not gonna happen.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It reminds me. I think it was Newsweek back in
- 21:27Speaker 1: the eighties where they said we're all going to freeze
- 21:29Speaker 1: to death from like arctic freezing of the entire globe.
- 21:32Speaker 1: That went away too, So they got it wrong in
- 21:35Speaker 1: the eighties. And now Bill Gates is admitting and Al Gore,
- 21:38Speaker 1: remember we were supposed to be dead like after ten years,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and that was like ten years ago when he made
- 21:41Speaker 1: his prediction that we're all going to die of global warming.
- 21:44Speaker 1: None of it's actually happened. And so now Bill Gates
- 21:46Speaker 1: like a right, screw it. I was wrong, I guess.
- 21:50Speaker 2: So it wasn't ten years, it was twelve years. And
- 21:53Speaker 2: for some reason for the apocalyptic left, the world is
- 21:56Speaker 2: always ending in twelve years. And that's been true for
- 21:59Speaker 2: about two decades now. They've been saying twelve years from now,
- 22:02Speaker 2: we're all going to die. Twelve years from now, we're
- 22:03Speaker 2: all going to die. And I got to say Bill
- 22:05Speaker 2: Gates was willing to be as hysterical as Greta, the
- 22:10Speaker 2: European teenager who shut down the German economy because they
- 22:15Speaker 2: listened to a teenager and said, hey, why don't we
- 22:17Speaker 2: shut down all of our nuclear power plants? And then
- 22:20Speaker 2: they suddenly realized they couldn't power their country, and ironically enough,
- 22:24Speaker 2: instead they're now opening coal plants and polluting a lot
- 22:26Speaker 2: more so. The apocalypse the world is ending because of
- 22:32Speaker 2: climate change. Well, look, all right, don't necessarily believe me.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Let me just read what Bill Gates has done. So
- 22:38Speaker 2: this is from Daily Wire. Microsoft co founder Bill Gates
- 22:41Speaker 2: has done and about face on climate change alarmism recently,
- 22:45Speaker 2: saying that there are more pressing matters people should be
- 22:47Speaker 2: worrying about instead. The seventy year old tech billionaire, who
- 22:50Speaker 2: has been an outspoken environmental activist for years, said as
- 22:54Speaker 2: much in a memo published Tuesday titled Three Tough Truths
- 22:59Speaker 2: about Climate It. Here's what he wrote. Climate change, disease,
- 23:03Speaker 2: and poverty are all major problems. We should deal with
- 23:06Speaker 2: them in proportion to the suffering they cause. The businessman
- 23:11Speaker 2: admitted that the Earth's temperature is not the most important
- 23:14Speaker 2: factor for improving life on the planet, and said the
- 23:18Speaker 2: quote doom'sday view of climate change is wrong. Let me
- 23:22Speaker 2: let me read that again. Bill Gates said the doom'sday
- 23:25Speaker 2: view of climate change is wrong. Here's what he wrote. Quote,
- 23:30Speaker 2: although climate change will have serious consequences, particularly for people
- 23:33Speaker 2: in the poorest countries, it will not lead to humanity's demise.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Shocking that, Bill Gates said that. And and and here
- 23:42Speaker 2: he goes on to say, quote what mean what does
- 23:45Speaker 2: that mean?
- 23:45Speaker 1: He can find his private jets now and like take
- 23:47Speaker 1: a nap, not be like having to buy carbon credits
- 23:49Speaker 1: or get on his shot. I'm just confided, I want
- 23:51Speaker 1: to be here. What does this free him up to do?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Oh no, no, the carbon credits scam is definitely still on.
- 23:56Speaker 2: But but but he's going to keep lying on his jets.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And remember, by the way, John Kerry the Zealot when
- 24:01Speaker 2: he discussed his private play and he said, you know,
- 24:04Speaker 2: he flies private because he says, really, for someone like me,
- 24:07Speaker 2: it's the only reasonable way to travel. Yes, but likely
- 24:10Speaker 2: the utter hypocrisy. But here's what Gates wrote. This is
- 24:15Speaker 2: a chance to refocus on the metrics that should count
- 24:18Speaker 2: even more than emissions and temperature change. Improving lives our
- 24:23Speaker 2: chief goal should be to prevent suffering, particularly for those
- 24:27Speaker 2: in the toughest conditions who live in the world's poorest countries.
- 24:30Speaker 2: And he added quote, although climate change will hurt poor
- 24:34Speaker 2: people more than anyone else, for the vast majority of them,
- 24:37Speaker 2: it will not be the only or even the biggest
- 24:40Speaker 2: threat to their welfare. And he wrote this seventeen page
- 24:43Speaker 2: analysis ahead of next months United Nations Climate Change Conference
- 24:48Speaker 2: in Brazil, hoping to shift funding away from climate initiatives
- 24:52Speaker 2: towards other endeavors that he now believes are more important. Look.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I'm not tired of winning.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I mean this is climate change was an ex.
- 25:03Speaker 1: So it's scam to make a bunch of money. Is
- 25:05Speaker 1: that what we can kind of get to here? It
- 25:06Speaker 1: was just about all of the money.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Money and power. There's a lot of money, a lot
- 25:10Speaker 2: of money, take power. Look look for for democrats. If
- 25:14Speaker 2: you are a socialist, if you are a communist, if
- 25:16Speaker 2: you are a comrade. Uh Mamdani, I assume he's a
- 25:21Speaker 2: climate change not I don't actually know that, but I
- 25:24Speaker 2: know he's a communist. And and and climate change was
- 25:28Speaker 2: the excuse for communists to seize control of our government
- 25:32Speaker 2: and and and that today's Democrat party, it was a
- 25:35Speaker 2: great we're all gonna die unless you let me, the
- 25:39Speaker 2: Democrat politician control the energy and business and your life
- 25:44Speaker 2: and and regulate every aspect of your life. The fact
- 25:47Speaker 2: that Bill Gates is making this change, it really shows
- 25:51Speaker 2: the momentum is moving and people are are are engaged
- 25:54Speaker 2: in just just common sense is coming back.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Well, and not only common sense, but like you look
- 25:59Speaker 1: at these solar farms, they're like being dormited right now,
- 26:03Speaker 1: Like they're just shutting them down because they just can't work.
- 26:06Speaker 1: They're not working in the pollution that comes actually from
- 26:10Speaker 1: the turbines and all the other things they are actually saying,
- 26:12Speaker 1: it's like having a real negative effect on the environment.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Shocker there. And then we also found out that like
- 26:17Speaker 1: a pension fund in California lost like seventy plus percent
- 26:21Speaker 1: of the investment that they went in green alternative energy
- 26:23Speaker 1: that just came out, so like they screwed countless hardworking
- 26:27Speaker 1: even liberals in California with this crap.
- 26:30Speaker 2: And a point to understand, the climate change radicals have
- 26:35Speaker 2: consistently hurt the environment. They are bad on the environment.
- 26:39Speaker 2: If the only thing you care about, if you wake
- 26:42Speaker 2: up every morning praying to Mother Earth. If that's your
- 26:46Speaker 2: only voting issue, you should vote against Democrats. Why Let's
- 26:50Speaker 2: take for example Germany. The Greens forced nuclear power plants
- 26:54Speaker 2: to be closed. The result is today Germany is relying
- 26:57Speaker 2: more on coal, which is much much worse for the environment.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And what country is leads the world every year in
- 27:06Speaker 2: the reduction of carbon emissions?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Which one?
- 27:11Speaker 2: That would be the United States of America? Do you
- 27:13Speaker 2: know why?
- 27:13Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Look, this is a question. Actually I pose when I'm
- 27:18Speaker 2: when I'm in college campus, when I'm talking to college
- 27:20Speaker 2: kids and they're Bernie Sanders supporters and they're they're freaked
- 27:23Speaker 2: out about the climate, I'll ask him a question. I'll say,
- 27:26Speaker 2: tell me what human being has done the most to
- 27:30Speaker 2: reduce climate in our lifetimes? And inevitably they have no idea.
- 27:34Speaker 2: There is an objectively right answer. The right answer to
- 27:36Speaker 2: this is George Mitchell. Now, who is George Mitchell. George
- 27:40Speaker 2: Mitchell was a Texas oil man. He was the son
- 27:43Speaker 2: of a Greek goat herder, and George Mitchell is is
- 27:48Speaker 2: the man most responsible for pioneering fracking, and he did
- 27:52Speaker 2: it in the Barnett Shale under Fort Worth and Dallas.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Fracking unlocked the shale revolution, which resulted in massive production
- 28:01Speaker 2: of natural gas, much of it in Texas, although also
- 28:04Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania and Ohio and other states across the country.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And the reason the United States every year leads the
- 28:11Speaker 2: world in the reduction of carbon emissions is because at
- 28:15Speaker 2: a wide scale level, we are replacing coal powered electricity
- 28:20Speaker 2: generation with natural gas powered electricity generation, and that pollutes
- 28:26Speaker 2: much much less, it emits much less carbon, and the
- 28:29Speaker 2: Greens and the Radical Dems have opposed that at every step.
- 28:33Speaker 2: By the way, do you know what country leads the
- 28:35Speaker 2: world in pollution?
- 28:37Speaker 1: What's that?
- 28:38Speaker 2: That would be Communist China, which pollutes massively, and yet
- 28:41Speaker 2: the Biden administration bear hug them with all they had.
- 28:44Speaker 1: There you go, don't forget. We do this show to
