Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Dems Make Clear: They Support Open Borders MUCH MORE than They Care about Ukraine
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:02Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with
- 0:05Speaker 2: you as well, and we have a lot to talk
- 0:07Speaker 2: about on this episode, including Zelensky coming to Washington begging
- 0:12Speaker 2: for more money that involves you crave funding, which involves
- 0:15Speaker 2: funding at the border, which involves funding with Israel, and
- 0:20Speaker 2: if that's not enough for you, we also have an
- 0:22Speaker 2: update on impeachment moving its way through the House. Senator,
- 0:26Speaker 2: let's go back to the very beginning, and it was
- 0:28Speaker 2: a wild day on Capitol Hill. You've got Zelensky who
- 0:33Speaker 2: comes to town, he's asking for money. The thread that
- 0:36Speaker 2: we've seen of kind of headlines here from the Democrats
- 0:40Speaker 2: is you must stand with them no matter what, forever importuity, Amen,
- 0:45Speaker 2: And you can't ask questions about where the money's going
- 0:48Speaker 2: or transparency. We've just got to write then this blank
- 0:51Speaker 2: check And how dare you Republicans tie this to border security?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Give me your initial reaction to that.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Zelensky's coming to Washington yesterday was designed. It's a manifestation
- 1:06Speaker 3: of the Democrats not living in reality. Chuck Schumer does
- 1:11Speaker 3: not believe that Republicans are serious about securing the border.
- 1:16Speaker 3: He's in absolute denial and I got to say, the
- 1:19Speaker 3: supplemental bill on Ukraine, the border in Israel, the entire
- 1:24Speaker 3: thing is in a stalemate, and I think it is
- 1:26Speaker 3: very possible this thing will not pass for a long
- 1:30Speaker 3: time because Schumer and the Democrats they're living in an
- 1:34Speaker 3: alternate reality and they're just assuming Republicans will cave. Now, sadly,
- 1:39Speaker 3: that is a reasonable assumption in a lot of instances.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Senate Republicans in particular, are are pretty quick to cave.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I don't think that's going to happen in this instance,
- 1:49Speaker 3: and Schumer and the Democrats don't believe it. And so
- 1:54Speaker 3: Zelensky came this week to Washington because they're trying to
- 1:57Speaker 3: bludgeon Republicans into set saying Ukraine really really really needs
- 2:02Speaker 3: the money, rather than Look, there have been a lot
- 2:06Speaker 3: of Republicans. House Republicans have made very clear there will
- 2:09Speaker 3: be no Ukraine bill without serious, strong border security. And
- 2:14Speaker 3: right now the Democrats are saying, we won't do border security,
- 2:18Speaker 3: but give us the Ukraine money. Anyway, that ain't going anywhere.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it was also saying that the news Speaker of
- 2:24Speaker 2: the House Mike Johnson referred to. He said, look, they
- 2:26Speaker 2: basically went silent when referring to negotiations with Republicans on
- 2:31Speaker 2: this US border security package. Take a listen to what
- 2:35Speaker 2: he had to say on Fox News.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Significant steps that are happening, negotiations still going on. Secretary
- 2:42Speaker 4: Mariorcis and others in the administration about changes.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well, I hope.
- 2:46Speaker 5: So.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Look, I've been crystal clear about this. You know, if
- 2:49Speaker 6: we're going to have a national security package of spending,
- 2:52Speaker 6: national security begins at our own border. This is about
- 2:55Speaker 6: our own sovereignty. That these are policy changes that could
- 2:58Speaker 6: be easily made. But the White House has been very reluctant.
- 3:03Speaker 6: They really went silent on us all of this time.
- 3:06Speaker 6: I've been the Speaker for a little over six weeks,
- 3:07Speaker 6: almost seven weeks, and since the day I was handed
- 3:10Speaker 6: the gavel, I've been saying that this was the condition
- 3:13Speaker 6: that we had to do this first, and we passed
- 3:15Speaker 6: HR two. The House passed our bill six months ago.
- 3:18Speaker 6: It's been sitting on the desk of Chuck Schumer ever since.
- 3:20Speaker 6: They've not taken it seriously. And here we are at
- 3:22Speaker 6: the end of the year, and now they're saying we've
- 3:24Speaker 6: run out of time. It's not the House's fault.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yes, here is Center Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on the
- 3:29Speaker 4: timing of all this Sticklers.
- 3:31Speaker 7: They're leaving at the end of the week, so all
- 3:34Speaker 7: I have said is practically impossible. Even though we reach
- 3:39Speaker 7: an agreement to craft it, get it through the Senate,
- 3:43Speaker 7: get it through the House before Christmas, that doesn't mean
- 3:46Speaker 7: it's not important. And even though we've been emphasizing the border,
- 3:52Speaker 7: I want to remind everybody of the importance of Ukraine.
- 3:58Speaker 4: So just logistically, it would you send the house home
- 4:02Speaker 4: and then call them back if there's a deal, or
- 4:05Speaker 4: just punt everything to January.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Look, the House will do its work if there was
- 4:09Speaker 6: a deal, but it has not materialized, and as of tonight,
- 4:13Speaker 6: they have given us the cold shoulders, so they're ignoring
- 4:15Speaker 6: this what I believe is the top priority of the
- 4:17Speaker 6: American people. It doesn't matter where I've been in the
- 4:19Speaker 6: country over the last few weeks, Brett, whether I'm in
- 4:23Speaker 6: New York or the southeast or out west, they all
- 4:26Speaker 6: say the same thing. They're deeply concerned about what's happening.
- 4:29Speaker 6: We had twelve thousand people come over that border one
- 4:31Speaker 6: day last week and Wednesday. If you look at the
- 4:33Speaker 6: statistics from October November and so far in December more
- 4:36Speaker 6: people have crossed that border illegally since any entire year
- 4:40Speaker 6: during the Obama administration. It is not a sustainable situation.
- 4:43Speaker 6: It is a harm in our country in ways that
- 4:46Speaker 6: are hard to describe, and we have to get on top.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So here's my question.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You hear the Senate majority leader there, obviously, Mitch McConnell,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and implying like, hey, there's no deal. So if they
- 4:56Speaker 2: think this is going to get done before Christmas, that's
- 4:58Speaker 2: just not reality. Then you have this speaker saying the
- 5:00Speaker 2: White House went silent on us on border package, and
- 5:03Speaker 2: he said the policy change is easily made, but the
- 5:06Speaker 2: White House has been very reluctant to do this. So
- 5:10Speaker 2: Redisin behind the scenes, why is it this much of
- 5:14Speaker 2: a hell bent answer from the Democrats not to secure
- 5:16Speaker 2: a southern border knowing these numbers we talked about twelve
- 5:19Speaker 2: thousand coming across just last Wednesday alone.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Because the Democrats right now are in a state of denial,
- 5:26Speaker 3: Let's rewind.
- 5:26Speaker 1: A couple of weeks ago.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Two weeks ago, we had a classified briefing in the Senate,
- 5:32Speaker 3: had every senator in there.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was on Ukraine.
- 5:34Speaker 3: It had the Secretary of State, it had the Secretary
- 5:38Speaker 3: of Defense, it had the intelligence agencies there, and the
- 5:41Speaker 3: entire purpose of the briefing was to say, Ukraine really,
- 5:46Speaker 3: really really needs the money.
- 5:50Speaker 8: Now.
- 5:50Speaker 3: On the Republican side, the Republican position for a long
- 5:53Speaker 3: time has been this bill will not move without real
- 5:55Speaker 3: border security. And so right at the outset, when we
- 5:58Speaker 3: got to the questions, most of the briefing questions from
- 6:00Speaker 3: the senators, Republicans began to make clear, all right, well
- 6:03Speaker 3: where are we on border security? And Chuck Schumer, what
- 6:08Speaker 3: happened is something I've never seen before. There was a
- 6:11Speaker 3: screaming match down in the skiff, down in the secure
- 6:14Speaker 3: facility where we're having the classified briefing, where senators are
- 6:17Speaker 3: screaming at the top of their lungs at each other,
- 6:19Speaker 3: and several senators stormed out. I've never seen that. And
- 6:24Speaker 3: what precipitated it is Schumer sat back and crossed his
- 6:28Speaker 3: arms and he was defiant. He was like, no, we
- 6:30Speaker 3: are not doing border security. This is not a part
- 6:33Speaker 3: of it. It's not gonna happen. That's not what this
- 6:36Speaker 3: briefing is about. And we're not even going to talk
- 6:38Speaker 3: about it. And a whole lot of Republicans got pissed.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Now that was the defiance two weeks ago, and Schumer
- 6:48Speaker 3: bizarrely believes that that is a reasonable and viable negotiating position. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 3: last week David Cameron was in town. David Cameron, you'll remember,
- 6:59Speaker 3: it was the former prime of the United Kingdom. He's
- 7:02Speaker 3: now the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom. So he's
- 7:04Speaker 3: back in the government. This time he's Foreign Minister instead
- 7:07Speaker 3: of Prime Minister. And so he came to Washington, d c.
- 7:10Speaker 3: And often when you have heads of state or senior
- 7:13Speaker 3: officials from foreign countries, they will sit down and meet
- 7:17Speaker 3: for coffee with the members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
- 7:20Speaker 3: And so I'm on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and
- 7:22Speaker 3: so I went to that coffee and so we're sitting
- 7:25Speaker 3: it's in a very cool it's a ceremonial room in
- 7:28Speaker 3: the capital, that is the Foreign Relations Committee room. And
- 7:32Speaker 3: when we have it there, they put a tablecloth on
- 7:35Speaker 3: this table that's, you know, one hundred plus years old,
- 7:39Speaker 3: and they serve tea and china. It's it's kind of
- 7:42Speaker 3: very old school, and you sit around talking with the
- 7:44Speaker 3: head of state or in this case, the British Foreign minister,
- 7:48Speaker 3: and he was there talking about Ukraine. He was part
- 7:51Speaker 3: of the lobbying effort to say, you gotta get money
- 7:53Speaker 3: to Ukraine, you gotta give money to Ukraine. And I
- 7:57Speaker 3: got to the coffee a few minutes late, so I
- 7:59Speaker 3: was near the end of the order of the senators
- 8:01Speaker 3: who were commenting or speaking, and so I heard senator
- 8:05Speaker 3: after senator, mostly Democrats, just saying everything is wonderful and
- 8:10Speaker 3: peachy keen, and we're going to vote out more Ukraine
- 8:12Speaker 3: funding and it's going to happen. And at one point
- 8:15Speaker 3: Bob Menendez, Democrat from New Jersey, he was talking about
- 8:19Speaker 3: he mentioned the border briefly and he said, look, the border.
- 8:22Speaker 3: The problem there is there's a lot of poverty in
- 8:24Speaker 3: Latin America, and that's really we're never going to fix
- 8:27Speaker 3: this until until we cure poverty in Central and South America.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So that's what we need to do, is make them
- 8:33Speaker 3: rich countries and we won't.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Have that problem.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So it got to me and I said said to Cameron,
- 8:40Speaker 3: I said, listen, number one, it's not your job to
- 8:45Speaker 3: try to resolve our border security problems. You're here representing
- 8:50Speaker 3: the government of the United Kingdom. However, you should know,
- 8:54Speaker 3: because you have a distinct interest in knowing this, that
- 8:57Speaker 3: right now, this Ukraine bill is going nowhere. It is dead.
- 9:02Speaker 3: And the reason you just heard, you just heard a
- 9:04Speaker 3: bunch of Democrats blow and smoke up your rear end.
- 9:09Speaker 3: They're just telling you everything is fine. And so I
- 9:12Speaker 3: actually relayed the story to Cameron about what had happened
- 9:15Speaker 3: the preceding week in the classified briefing, where Schumer had
- 9:18Speaker 3: defiantly said we'll do nothing and people had screamed and
- 9:21Speaker 3: stormed out, And I said, I said to Cameron, listen,
- 9:24Speaker 3: I don't know what is wrong with my Democrat colleagues.
- 9:28Speaker 3: But Number one, the chances of a bill that funds
- 9:33Speaker 3: Ukraine and doesn't secure the border, the chances of that
- 9:36Speaker 3: passing the House are zero point zero zero percent. There
- 9:40Speaker 3: is no way. Mike Johnson's been saying that from the
- 9:43Speaker 3: day became speaker.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Zero chance.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And Schumer and the Democrats are just incomplete denial. And
- 9:49Speaker 3: I said, let me be clear, I think the chances
- 9:52Speaker 3: are exceptionally slim it would pass the Senate. I can
- 9:54Speaker 3: tell you the Senate Republican conference is as unified on
- 9:58Speaker 3: this issue as I've ever seen it. You played a
- 10:00Speaker 3: minute ago the clip from Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell may
- 10:02Speaker 3: be the biggest Ukraine hawk among the Republicans. He wants
- 10:08Speaker 3: to fund Ukraine. And even Mitch is holding firm on this.
- 10:14Speaker 3: We don't have any defectors on the Republican side. And
- 10:18Speaker 3: the bizarre thing is Schumer is just in utter denial,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and the other Democrats are as well. And by the way,
- 10:25Speaker 3: I pointed out, you know, Menendez said, well, gosh, it's
- 10:27Speaker 3: just poverty in Latin America. I said, with all due
- 10:30Speaker 3: respect to what Bob said, you know what, there's been
- 10:34Speaker 3: poverty in Latin America a long time. That's not the
- 10:38Speaker 3: cause of this crisis. When Biden came into power, he
- 10:42Speaker 3: inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in forty five years.
- 10:46Speaker 3: You know what, there was poverty in Latin America then too.
- 10:49Speaker 3: The reason for the crisis is Joe Biden and his
- 10:51Speaker 3: administration refused to follow the law. They've implemented catch and
- 10:55Speaker 3: release and the numbers of skyrocketed. Nine point six million
- 10:59Speaker 3: ELI legal aliens have crossed under Joe Biden. And what
- 11:02Speaker 3: I said at this this coffee with the Senate for
- 11:05Speaker 3: Relations Committee, I said, listen, Eric Adams, the liberal Democrat
- 11:09Speaker 3: mayor of New York City, says that one hundred and
- 11:12Speaker 3: ten thousand illegal immigrants in New York City are a
- 11:15Speaker 3: crisis and they are destroying New York City. Now he's
- 11:19Speaker 3: right about that, Yeah, But if one hundred and ten
- 11:21Speaker 3: thousand are doing that to New York City, what in
- 11:24Speaker 3: the hell do you think nine point six million are
- 11:27Speaker 3: doing to Texas and the other states of the southern border.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And so I made that point to Cameron. And the
- 11:31Speaker 3: bizarre thing is, listen, I had multiple conversations with my
- 11:34Speaker 3: Democrat colleagues today. They still believe, oh, we'll reach a
- 11:38Speaker 3: deal on this, you know, just some reasonable compromise.
- 11:42Speaker 9: You know.
- 11:42Speaker 3: One one Democrat senator suggested to me, well, well, maybe
- 11:45Speaker 3: the White House will agree to reinstate Title forty two. Well, no,
- 11:49Speaker 3: forget it. That is not When Title forty two was
- 11:53Speaker 3: in place, we still had the worst illegal immigration in history,
- 11:56Speaker 3: and they got.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Title forty two. What that was, because some of you
- 11:59Speaker 1: may not remember.
- 12:00Speaker 3: So Title forty two was a law that allowed individuals
- 12:04Speaker 3: to be sent back because of COVID and so it
- 12:07Speaker 3: was the one area where Biden was not practicing catch
- 12:11Speaker 3: and release, where there was some limited deportation, and then
- 12:14Speaker 3: they ended Title forty two and they decided, okay, everyone
- 12:16Speaker 3: gets to stay. Basically the problem that goes right to
- 12:22Speaker 3: the heart of this why do we have a border crisis?
- 12:25Speaker 3: Three words, catch and release. Joe Biden unilaterally ended the
- 12:31Speaker 3: Remain in Mexico agreement and began when people got apprehended,
- 12:35Speaker 3: they release them. As long as we do catch and release,
- 12:38Speaker 3: the border will not be secure. And by the way,
- 12:40Speaker 3: you could build one hundred foot tall wall and put
- 12:43Speaker 3: ten million troops on the southern border. If you did
- 12:46Speaker 3: catch and release, you'd still have a border crisis. Why
- 12:49Speaker 3: because when the people crossed and turned themselves into the
- 12:53Speaker 3: ten million soldiers, Joe Biden would then release them, so
- 12:56Speaker 3: they'd keep coming. It doesn't matter how many border patrol
- 13:00Speaker 3: agents or how much military you have, if the administration
- 13:05Speaker 3: releases whoever they apprehend because as long as that happens,
- 13:09Speaker 3: more and more and more keep coming.
- 13:11Speaker 2: New Year's is coming, and you don't have to wait
- 13:13Speaker 2: until New Year's to get on with your New Year's resolutions. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 2: you can get a head start. Why wait till January
- 13:20Speaker 2: the first, when right now you can do what I
- 13:24Speaker 2: and many others did this last year. Boost your testos

- 14:37Speaker 2: about what you were just talking about with the Democrats
- 14:39Speaker 2: and them not understanding the reality the situation is.
- 14:43Speaker 1: There was Senator at Raphael Warnock.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He went on MSNBC and made it very clear that
- 14:50Speaker 2: he said, you know, this is the Republican's fault, this
- 14:53Speaker 2: is Republicans not willing to support Ukraine, and cynically he
- 14:57Speaker 2: called it using the border issue. I want you to
- 15:00Speaker 2: here two things here that made me laugh. One the
- 15:03Speaker 2: hysterical bowing down to Warnock introduction. I can't not play
- 15:07Speaker 2: it and that just made me laugh. Welcome to MSNBC, right,
- 15:11Speaker 2: And then the second thing is is him trying to
- 15:13Speaker 2: go on offense against Republicans with a terrible argument.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 15:17Speaker 9: Helpful to have a pastor around, even better if they're
- 15:19Speaker 9: also a senator. And joining me now is Senator and
- 15:22Speaker 9: Reverend Raphael Warnock and Georgia, senior pastor at Doctor King's Church,
- 15:26Speaker 9: Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Happy Holidays in advance, Merry
- 15:30Speaker 9: Christmas in advanced.
- 15:31Speaker 8: Happy holidays. Great to be with.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You, Thank you.
- 15:33Speaker 8: It is good to see something that's taking the preacher's voice.
- 15:35Speaker 8: But I'll do my best.
- 15:36Speaker 1: That's okay, Liotle.
- 15:36Speaker 9: Preacher can always find their voice. That's one thing I
- 15:38Speaker 9: know about a pastor. But let's talk about all of
- 15:40Speaker 9: the Let's go through a few other things. I want
- 15:42Speaker 9: to start with Ukraine. In the House as well as
- 15:46Speaker 9: some in the United States Senate, there is this resistance
- 15:49Speaker 9: to providing funding for Ukraine, which is still suffering this
- 15:52Speaker 9: attack from Russia, trying to trade things like border border policy,
- 15:57Speaker 9: border security for funding jd Vance saying basically that Ukraine
- 16:01Speaker 9: should seed land and cut a deal. What in the
- 16:04Speaker 9: world is going on on the other side of the aisle.
- 16:07Speaker 8: That's a very good question. I'll tell you that this
- 16:09Speaker 8: is politics in the worst sense of the word. There
- 16:13Speaker 8: is no replacement for American leadership in the world. I
- 16:18Speaker 8: have had occasion now on a few opportunities to hear
- 16:24Speaker 8: President Zelensky, to meet him, and I think he's just
- 16:27Speaker 8: a very impressive person who is standing up in a
- 16:30Speaker 8: critical moment, not only for his country but in terms
- 16:33Speaker 8: of the world order. And it's unfortunate that I've got
- 16:38Speaker 8: colleagues who are reducing such an important geopolitical crisis to
- 16:44Speaker 8: typical political horse trading. Look, there are issues at the
- 16:49Speaker 8: border and they need to be addressed. I for one,
- 16:53Speaker 8: am open to any reasonable bipartisan proposal that will get
- 16:58Speaker 8: there on the way to what we really need. It's
- 17:00Speaker 8: comprehensive immigration reform. But this is one of the most
- 17:03Speaker 8: fraught issues in our political system, and so unfortunately not everybody,
- 17:09Speaker 8: not all the Republicans. But on the other side you
- 17:11Speaker 8: have some Republicans who are not willing to support Ukraine
- 17:14Speaker 8: no matter what, and so they're just using this issue
- 17:18Speaker 8: of the border, which is very serious in the most
- 17:22Speaker 8: cynical way. I hope that at the end of the day,
- 17:25Speaker 8: Kula heads will prevail. Certainly, we don't want to see
- 17:31Speaker 8: American soldiers on the ground as Putin continues his aggressive
- 17:36Speaker 8: move across Europe. I think it only makes sense for
- 17:40Speaker 8: us to support our friends in Ukraine.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but by the way, I just have to go
- 17:44Speaker 2: to the very end part there when he says, well,
- 17:45Speaker 2: it's almost like a weird threat. And this is like
- 17:48Speaker 2: the third or fourth time I've heard this this week
- 17:49Speaker 2: from Democrats. Well, if you guys don't give the funding,
- 17:53Speaker 2: you may see American troops over there.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So you should really give.
- 17:57Speaker 2: This funding because if you don't, then it's your fault
- 18:01Speaker 2: that we have to send American troops. That is the
- 18:04Speaker 2: most messed up negotiating I've ever seen from Democrats. And
- 18:08Speaker 2: I've seen a lot of pretty crappy stuff. You've seen
- 18:10Speaker 2: more being in Washington Center. But that's a whole nother
- 18:13Speaker 2: level of vile politics that I just don't I can't
- 18:15Speaker 2: beliether even trying it.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Well, look, you got to understand that that those comments
- 18:20Speaker 3: that that Raphael Warnock made were filled with hypocrisy and
- 18:26Speaker 3: sadly with dishonesty. You know, it started right at the
- 18:28Speaker 3: beginning by emphasizing that he's a pastor. It's true, although
- 18:31Speaker 3: I'll tell you I've never seen a pastor that refuses
- 18:33Speaker 3: to say Merry Christmas. That he insists on saying Happy Holidays,
- 18:36Speaker 3: because it turns out more important than being a pastor
- 18:39Speaker 3: is he's a Democrat and Merry Christmas is not allowed
- 18:42Speaker 3: for Democrats to say. But then when he gets into
- 18:45Speaker 3: the substance, he gets very moralistic about American leadership on Ukraine.
- 18:50Speaker 3: You know what, Raphael Warnock didn't mention that it was
- 18:52Speaker 3: Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer that caused the war in
- 18:55Speaker 3: Ukraine when they refuse to vote in favor of my
- 18:58Speaker 3: sanctions to Sanctionstream two. I had shut down nord Stream two.
- 19:02Speaker 3: I had passed legislation that shut it down. And on
- 19:05Speaker 3: the day of the vote, Joe Biden came personally to
- 19:08Speaker 3: Capitol Hill and lobbied the Democrat senators. Now, actually Raphael
- 19:11Speaker 3: Warnock voted with me, but forty four Democrats flipped their
- 19:15Speaker 3: votes at Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer's behest and voted in
- 19:19Speaker 3: favor of Russia and putin and against sanctioning the pipeline.
- 19:22Speaker 3: And weeks later Russia invaded Ukraine. So he admitted no
- 19:26Speaker 3: responsibility for his own party in causing this war. He
- 19:29Speaker 3: also admitted no responsibility of the Biden administration for funding
- 19:33Speaker 3: both sides of this war, for sending billions of dollars
- 19:36Speaker 3: to Iran that is used to make drones that Russia
- 19:38Speaker 3: is using to kill Ukrainian soldiers that right now Biden
- 19:42Speaker 3: is literally funding both sides of the war. He admits
- 19:44Speaker 3: no fault there, and Stad he moralizes, and he says
- 19:47Speaker 3: on the border he's open to reasonable quote bipartisan solutions.
- 19:51Speaker 3: What Boloney, Raphael Warnock and the rest of the Democrats
- 19:55Speaker 3: have voted every single time, over and over and over
- 19:59Speaker 3: again in favor of open borders, against anything to secure
- 20:04Speaker 3: the border. They have not budged even once. And I
- 20:07Speaker 3: will say I will invite Raphael, I will invite any
- 20:09Speaker 3: of my Democratic colleagues come with me to the border.
- 20:13Speaker 3: See the dead bodies that Texas farmers and ranchers find
- 20:16Speaker 3: every day. Look in the eyes of the children who
- 20:19Speaker 3: were being sexually assaulted and brutalized by the human traffickers.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Look in the eyes of the women who've been violently raped.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Look in the eyes of the parents who've had kids
- 20:29Speaker 3: who they've lost to fentanyl and drug overdoses because of
- 20:33Speaker 3: the drug traffickers. This is an existential crisis. And you
- 20:37Speaker 3: hear him saying, well, it's just playing politics. Listen. The
- 20:41Speaker 3: position of Republicans, quite reasonably is that we're not going
- 20:45Speaker 3: to focus on securing Ukraine's border until we secure our
- 20:49Speaker 3: own border, because right now, Joe Biden and the Democrats
- 20:53Speaker 3: led by Chuck Schumer have an open invitation to Hamas
- 20:57Speaker 3: and Hezbeala terrorists to cross our southern order and Ben,
- 21:01Speaker 3: we are living on borrow time. I think it is
- 21:03Speaker 3: only a matter of time before we see tragically another
- 21:06Speaker 3: major terrorist attack because this administration is doing nothing to
- 21:12Speaker 3: prevent terrorists from coming in and they've sat by and
- 21:16Speaker 3: allowed nine point six million to come into this country.
- 21:20Speaker 2: You know, the other day, and this is the clip
- 21:22Speaker 2: we played a moment ago. There was I think it
- 21:24Speaker 2: was when you say twelve thousand, thirteen thousand league immigrants
- 21:26Speaker 2: and came across the.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Border for twelve thousand and one.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, on Wednesday.
- 21:31Speaker 2: When you have twelve thousand people coming across the border
- 21:34Speaker 2: in one day, terrorists are not stupid. They understand that
- 21:39Speaker 2: that means there's a very good chance that you'll be
- 21:42Speaker 2: able to get terrorists in because a lot of the
- 21:44Speaker 2: twelve thousand are people that want to be are turning
- 21:49Speaker 2: themselves into the discoverment because of all the free stuff
- 21:51Speaker 2: they get.
- 21:52Speaker 1: They're not afraid of border patrol.
- 21:53Speaker 3: There's sick and ben That twelve thousand doesn't include the
- 21:56Speaker 3: god away. So as concerning as the twelve thousand is,
- 22:00Speaker 3: the number that is more concerning are the godaways of
- 22:03Speaker 3: the people that run Those are the ones that are
- 22:05Speaker 3: likely to be the criminals that are likely to be
- 22:07Speaker 3: the terrorists that are on the terror watch list that
- 22:10Speaker 3: are the rea that are the gang members, Those are
- 22:12Speaker 3: the ones that are really dangerous, and we have no idea.
- 22:15Speaker 3: What we do know, and what this podcast has covered
- 22:19Speaker 3: is the border patrol agents have been instructed to be
- 22:21Speaker 3: on guard for Hamas and Hesbela terrorists coming in. What
- 22:24Speaker 3: we do know is Chris Ray, the director of the FBI,
- 22:28Speaker 3: has suddenly discovered that there's a risk at our southern
- 22:31Speaker 3: border and his testimony in Congress has changed dramatically in
- 22:37Speaker 3: recent months about the risk of terrorism for the southern
- 22:40Speaker 3: border and the only reasonable explanation for that is the
- 22:43Speaker 3: FBI is seeing more and more that has them worried
- 22:47Speaker 3: about what's coming because this administration won't secure the border.

- 24:23Speaker 2: and this goes back to the issue you're talking about
- 24:25Speaker 2: with border security.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And there was one.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Democrat that it actually made me laugh.
- 24:30Speaker 1: He was on CNN. They were talking about that.
- 24:32Speaker 2: At the bottom of the screen it said Russia's war
- 24:34Speaker 2: in Ukraine's Lenska in Washington to ask for more aid,
- 24:37Speaker 2: and they had on a House Democrat by the name
- 24:41Speaker 2: of Representative Multon, and he was actually telling a lot
- 24:46Speaker 2: of truth about the Democrats and what their real objective is.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And there's words I want everybody to listen for here.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I want you to listen to how he talks about
- 24:53Speaker 2: a pathway his citizenship and how he loves the number
- 24:56Speaker 2: of legal immigrants coming across their border. And he's saying, look,
- 24:59Speaker 2: I'm not willing to give that up just to give
- 25:04Speaker 2: funding to Ukraine, which the Republicans are demanding.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 25:08Speaker 10: Notitible to hear from President Zelenski today say that the
- 25:11Speaker 10: Ukrainian economy has grown five percent this year, this after
- 25:15Speaker 10: and now second year in brutal war with Russia. That
- 25:19Speaker 10: obviously sending a message to lawmakers here that their help
- 25:23Speaker 10: has been effective and warranted and welcomed. We talk a
- 25:28Speaker 10: lot about Republicans not wanting to continue funding Ukraine, at
- 25:33Speaker 10: least without getting something in return. The President making clear
- 25:37Speaker 10: last week that he is willing to negotiate on border
- 25:39Speaker 10: security and take that issue seriously with more investments. How
- 25:43Speaker 10: is that sitting with some members of your own party
- 25:46Speaker 10: who may be worried, as has been reported, that he's
- 25:50Speaker 10: conceding too much on this front.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Well, here's the concern.
- 25:54Speaker 5: I think there are a lot of members of my
- 25:56Speaker 5: Democratic party that recognize we have to do more on
- 25:59Speaker 5: the border, that we need to strengthen the border, but
- 26:02Speaker 5: we don't want to scuttle what we fundamentally need when
- 26:06Speaker 5: it comes to immigration policy in the United States, which
- 26:09Speaker 5: is a full immigration deal, a deal that not only
- 26:12Speaker 5: includes what Republicans want, which has increased border security, but
- 26:16Speaker 5: also what Democrats want, which is a pathway to citizenship
- 26:20Speaker 5: some hope for all the kids, for example, were brought
- 26:24Speaker 5: here years ago by their parents and yet are sitting
- 26:26Speaker 5: in legal limbo through no fault of their own. They
- 26:29Speaker 5: go to American schools, they participate in the American economy,
- 26:33Speaker 5: and yet they're not technically legal citizens. The vast majority
- 26:37Speaker 5: of Americans, Republicans and Democrats, want a fix for that
- 26:41Speaker 5: problem as well, but Republicans in Congress aren't willing to
- 26:45Speaker 5: do it unless it's paired with border security. So the
- 26:49Speaker 5: concern is that if the President bargains away what the
- 26:52Speaker 5: Republicans want on border security just to get aid on Ukraine.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Then it imperils the chances of what we really need
- 27:00Speaker 5: on immigration, which is full comprehensive reforms.
- 27:03Speaker 10: And a reminder for our viewers, this isn't just about
- 27:05Speaker 10: a to Ukraine. Obviously, this bill includes funding for Israel
- 27:09Speaker 10: and Taiwan as well.
- 27:11Speaker 2: All I mean, you just got to laugh, like it's like,
- 27:13Speaker 2: all right, Well, at least that guy was willing to
- 27:15Speaker 2: tell you the truth.
- 27:16Speaker 1: This is all about pathway. It's a citizenship.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Oh and then we'll get to the issue of funding
- 27:20Speaker 2: for Israel at the very end of the conversation, which,
- 27:22Speaker 2: by the way, you and I need to talk about
- 27:24Speaker 2: in LinkedIn a second.
- 27:25Speaker 1: But give me your reaction to this.
- 27:27Speaker 2: I mean, this is at least a Democrat saying, yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 2: we're all in favor of legals come across the border
- 27:32Speaker 2: at these rates, and we need to give them a
- 27:33Speaker 2: pathway to citizenship, and we're willing to make a trade
- 27:35Speaker 2: on that.
- 27:36Speaker 3: You know, there's an old line that a gaff is
- 27:38Speaker 3: when a politician tells the truth in Washington, and he
- 27:42Speaker 3: just let the cat out of the bag. It's interesting
- 27:44Speaker 3: he says, well, it's Republicans that want to secure the border,
- 27:47Speaker 3: not us, not us Democrats. You know, Democrats occasionally claim
- 27:49Speaker 3: they do. In fact, you just played Warnock claiming he did.
- 27:53Speaker 3: But Moulton is emitting, No, we don't care about that.
- 27:55Speaker 3: We don't care about that at all. What do we
- 27:56Speaker 3: care about amnesty? What do we care about a path
- 27:59Speaker 3: to citizenship? What do we care about turning every illegal
- 28:02Speaker 3: alien we can into a Democrat voter? It's only politics,
- 28:05Speaker 3: you know. What's striking Seth Moulton as someone who holds
- 28:08Speaker 3: himself out as one of the more moderate Democrats, so
- 28:11Speaker 3: he typically is not lumped in with the crazies on
- 28:14Speaker 3: the left, and even a so called moderate Democrat, he's like, eh,
- 28:18Speaker 3: and we don't care about border security. And by the way,
- 28:21Speaker 3: he says he wants hope for the kids, Well, what
- 28:24Speaker 3: about hope for the little boys and the little girls
- 28:27Speaker 3: who are being brutalized, who are being sexually assaulted today?
- 28:31Speaker 3: Right now, today, there are children being assaulted by human traffickers.
- 28:37Speaker 3: The Democrats, literally, Ben do not care why there's a
- 28:40Speaker 3: political objective, what do they care about? They want citizenship
- 28:44Speaker 3: and if a bunch of children have to be violated.
- 28:47Speaker 3: That is a perfectly acceptable price. It is cynical, it
- 28:51Speaker 3: is cruel, it is evil, And I've seen too many
- 28:55Speaker 3: of these kids. I've looked in their eyes. I talked
- 28:57Speaker 3: about on Verdict the last time we were down there,
- 28:59Speaker 3: the ten year old girl that had an adult man
- 29:02Speaker 3: who claimed to be your father and obviously wasn't. And
- 29:05Speaker 3: when you've seen children being abused day after day, you
- 29:09Speaker 3: can't turn a blind eye to it. The entire Democrat Party,
- 29:14Speaker 3: that is their position, and they're simply in denial. And
- 29:17Speaker 3: right at the end, the CNN host I loved it
- 29:19Speaker 3: through it. Well, don't forget this is also about Israel
- 29:23Speaker 3: funding without mentioning because of course CNN they're not actual journalists,
- 29:28Speaker 3: they are propagandas they are, propaganda's for the left wing
- 29:31Speaker 3: of the Democrat Party. You know what she didn't mention.
- 29:34Speaker 3: The House of Representatives passed funding for Israel separate, completely
- 29:39Speaker 3: separate from this, and the Senate, as we talked about
- 29:42Speaker 3: in length on Verdict on a previous podcast, I and
- 29:45Speaker 3: several other Senators forced a vote on the Senate floor
- 29:49Speaker 3: to pass Israel funding separate from all of this, and
- 29:53Speaker 3: every single Democrat voted no. Chuck Schumer whipped against military
- 29:59Speaker 3: fi funding for Israel. And by the way, he did
- 30:02Speaker 3: this after several Democrat senators had just come from the
- 30:05Speaker 3: National Mall on the march for Israel. They walked onto
- 30:09Speaker 3: the Senate floor and voted against military funding for Israel.
- 30:12Speaker 3: And you know part of why they did that because
- 30:14Speaker 3: they knew the useful idiots at CNN and at the
- 30:17Speaker 3: Washington Post of the New York Times would not report
- 30:20Speaker 3: on it. They would tell nobody. So yes, it is true,
- 30:24Speaker 3: we don't have military aid to Israel that has passed yet.
- 30:27Speaker 3: And the reason is Chuck Schumer and the Democrats blocked it.
- 30:32Speaker 3: And if they hadn't, that bill would have been on
- 30:35Speaker 3: Joe Biden's desk weeks ago.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Let's talk about that Israeli funding because this is really important. Obviously,
- 30:41Speaker 2: as you mentioned, Democrats said hell no to it. No one,
- 30:44Speaker 2: not a single Democrat would go with you guys, What
- 30:47Speaker 2: does it look like now moving forward and how desperate
- 30:51Speaker 2: is the need from Israel at this point? It's amazing
- 30:54Speaker 2: that Democrats are going all in with Ukraine and the
- 30:56Speaker 2: corruption there asking no questions, where as in Israel there's
- 31:01Speaker 2: none of those questions that need to be asked, and
- 31:03Speaker 2: there's transparency and we know what's going on, and yet
- 31:07Speaker 2: they're saying, ah, not so much. And even the White
- 31:09Speaker 2: House now is starting to distance themselves from Israel, changing
- 31:14Speaker 2: their tune a little bit over the last couple of days,
- 31:16Speaker 2: which is is what I expected.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's also incredibly disheartening.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Well, look, the one word I disagree with that you
- 31:23Speaker 3: said there, as you said even the White House. Listen,
- 31:26Speaker 3: We've outlined at length on this podcast how this White
- 31:29Speaker 3: House is the most anti Israel White House we've ever had. Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 3: joint and Joe Biden, this White House has been undermining
- 31:35Speaker 3: Israel from the day Biden was sworn in as president. Repeatedly,
- 31:39Speaker 3: and we've outlined from the very first minutes of this
- 31:42Speaker 3: attack on October seventh, this White House has been undermining Israel.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Has been urging Israel, do not retaliate, do not attack hamas,
- 31:49Speaker 3: do not kill the terrorists from day one. The State Department,
- 31:53Speaker 3: the State Department literally tweeted that out on the night
- 31:56Speaker 3: of October seventh, while people were still being murdered, while
- 32:00Speaker 3: women and children were being raped. The State Department is
- 32:02Speaker 3: tweeting out, Israel, do not respond militarily. Do not kill
- 32:07Speaker 3: the terrorists, and so, yes, you're right. The White House
- 32:11Speaker 3: doesn't really care about the Israel funding. In fact, we
- 32:14Speaker 3: know they don't because if they cared about it, we'd
- 32:16Speaker 3: pass it as a free standing bill. It has the
- 32:18Speaker 3: votes to pass as a free standing bill. But their
- 32:21Speaker 3: only interest on Israel funding is to use it as
- 32:24Speaker 3: a sweetener to try to convince Republicans to fund the
- 32:28Speaker 3: rest of the Democrats' priorities. And I think that's incredibly cynical.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I think it's wrong, and their focus is on Ukraine.
- 32:37Speaker 3: But it's interesting if you want to take away from
- 32:40Speaker 3: what we've seen over the last six weeks in Washington,
- 32:43Speaker 3: it's the Democrats are much much more committed to open
- 32:48Speaker 3: borders than they are to the war in Ukraine, and
- 32:51Speaker 3: they're willing to abandon funding for Ukraine in order to
- 32:55Speaker 3: keep the tragedy of open borders at our southern border.
- 32:59Speaker 3: That is a higher priority for them. And it's incredibly
- 33:02Speaker 3: revealing because they self righteously claim otherwise, and look you
- 33:08Speaker 3: look at Wiseelenski came this week. It's Chuck Schumer trying
- 33:11Speaker 3: to browbeat Republicans into saying, give us what we want,
- 33:16Speaker 3: even though we will do nothing on the border, and
- 33:19Speaker 3: I think that has zero chance of success.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Let me talk to you about your IRA and your
- 33:23Speaker 2: four oh one k. It has been a crazy year
- 33:26Speaker 2: with our economy. It's been a crazy year on Wall Street.
- 33:29Speaker 2: And if you are in retirement or getting close to
- 33:32Speaker 2: retirement planning for it, then you know the stress of
- 33:36Speaker 2: what happens when you see those dollars disappear and you
- 33:40Speaker 2: know that there's not a lot of time left to
- 33:42Speaker 2: make up those losses. That is where people turn to
- 33:46Speaker 2: gold to help diversify their portfolio. Now, there are a
- 33:50Speaker 2: lot of companies that sell gold. The one that I
- 33:53Speaker 2: use is a gust of Precious Metals because they help
- 33:56Speaker 2: me protect my retirement, They help me diversify, and they
- 34:00Speaker 2: answer all of my questions and have a plan that's
- 34:03Speaker 2: right just for me. Now here's the other thing about
- 34:06Speaker 2: Augusta Precious Medals. They do a one on one web
- 34:09Speaker 2: conference with each and every person so that you can
- 34:12Speaker 2: ask them and they answer every question that you have
- 34:15Speaker 2: because they understand everybody's goals, everybody's portfolio, everybody's retirement account
- 34:22Speaker 2: is different, so they shouldn't be treated like they're all
- 34:25Speaker 2: the same. That's what makes august of Precious Metals so
- 34:30Speaker 2: unique is a company. You can call them and you
- 34:33Speaker 2: can sit down with them and do a one on
- 34:34Speaker 2: one web conference, and you can also get the free
- 34:38Speaker 2: Investor's Guide on Gold. They answer your questions and talk
- 34:41Speaker 2: to you about how to protect your hard earned dollars
- 34:43Speaker 2: by using gold in your IRA or your four oh
- 34:47Speaker 2: one K the number eight seven seven four, the number
- 34:50Speaker 2: four gold IRA. That's eight seven seven the number four
- 34:55Speaker 2: gold IR or online at Augusta Pressure Medals dot com.
- 35:01Speaker 2: That's Augusta Precious Medals dot com R eight seven seven
- 35:06Speaker 2: the number four gold I R a centator. I want
- 35:10Speaker 2: to also move to one other subject real quick that
- 35:12Speaker 2: I think is obviously an important one, and that is
- 35:16Speaker 2: to give an update on what's going on now with impeachment.
- 35:21Speaker 2: We've seen the House Committee is going to vote on impeachment.
- 35:24Speaker 2: The House Speaker Mike Johnson says the White House is
- 35:26Speaker 2: impeding the investigation to President Joe Biden and the next
- 35:30Speaker 2: step will be a vote to formalize an impeachment inquiry.
- 35:33Speaker 2: This also, as Fox News is reporting the hunter Biden
- 35:36Speaker 2: received two hundred and fifty thousand dollars wires originating in
- 35:41Speaker 2: Beijing with a beneficiary address listed as Joe Biden's home.
- 35:46Speaker 2: This is all about, as the House Oversight Committee put
- 35:49Speaker 2: with the Biden's influence pedaling and what they have been doing.
- 35:52Speaker 2: This vote center is a very important vote and it's
- 35:55Speaker 2: also going to give Republicans more power. Explain why this
- 35:59Speaker 2: vote is in important to happen now.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Well, the House has scheduled the vote today. It is
- 36:04Speaker 3: a vote on a resolution formalizing the impeachment inquiry into
- 36:08Speaker 3: President Biden. And previously the House had not scheduled that
- 36:12Speaker 3: vote because it wasn't clear that they had the votes
- 36:15Speaker 3: to pass it. And so Kevin McCarthy when he was Speaker,
- 36:18Speaker 3: he didn't schedule it because it looked like the votes
- 36:20Speaker 3: weren't there. What Republicans are telling the press at least
- 36:25Speaker 3: is it looks like the votes are there. And so
- 36:27Speaker 3: a number of the Republicans who are in blue districts
- 36:31Speaker 3: that Biden carried are now moving forward. So, for example,
- 36:35Speaker 3: Mike Garcia in California said, quote, there is enough substantiation
- 36:40Speaker 3: to move forward and quote the Executive branch made clear
- 36:43Speaker 3: they're not going to cooperate with the inquiry unless we
- 36:46Speaker 3: formalize it. So let's formalize it. Another one, Mark Boalinaro,
- 36:50Speaker 3: who's a Republican from New York again in a district
- 36:52Speaker 3: Biden carried, said quote Congress has every responsibility to provide oversight.
- 36:57Speaker 3: There are serious questions of impropriety. The White House and
- 37:00Speaker 3: the President have yet to comply with requests for information
- 37:03Speaker 3: and subpoenas, adding that he is quote inclined to support
- 37:06Speaker 3: the measure. And another Republican from New York again in
- 37:11Speaker 3: a district and in fact the most Democrat leaning district
- 37:16Speaker 3: of any Republican, Anthony Desposito, said said that he will
- 37:21Speaker 3: vote to authorize the inquiry. And so what we're hearing
- 37:25Speaker 3: is the votes are there. It's scheduled for a vote today,
- 37:30Speaker 3: and and the resolution directs the House Oversight, Judiciary, and
- 37:34Speaker 3: Ways and Means committees to quote continue their ongoing investigations
- 37:39Speaker 3: as a part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry
- 37:42Speaker 3: into whether sufficient grounds exist to impeach Biden. And so
- 37:46Speaker 3: formally voting this for this is a significant step forward,
- 37:50Speaker 3: and I'm glad they're going to do that. I hope
- 37:52Speaker 3: they pass it, and we will discuss on the next
- 37:56Speaker 3: verdict what happens when the vote happens later today.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Don't Forget.
