- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like theming bus things and it's not good. Steve Hartley,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joy. You gotta use that turn. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out, turn love, got the
- 1:44Speaker 1: turnout to turn, turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back. Uh huh, I sure will. A good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on, dig me?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Now what and only Steve Harvey got a radio show? Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 1: here we go today, folks. This is a good one
- 2:16Speaker 1: because today I want to share with you something that
- 2:21Speaker 1: affects every living soul, and that one thing is your attitude.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This affects everyone. It is your attitude. You know. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: don't know if anyone's ever told you, but I mean
- 2:39Speaker 1: many of you who listen know this, But there are
- 2:42Speaker 1: a lot of people who don't understand a positive attitude
- 2:49Speaker 1: can bring about a change. A positive attitude can bring
- 2:54Speaker 1: about a change. Well, now here we go with the
- 2:56Speaker 1: nay says well, Steve, what you mean if I'm just
- 2:58Speaker 1: positive being changed? My mama gone, What me being positive
- 3:01Speaker 1: got to do with that? Okay? Now listen to me carefully.
- 3:05Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about change. Well, okay, Steve,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I hear you saying that, but they didn't fired me.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So now what does my having a positive attitude have
- 3:16Speaker 1: to do with the fact that they fired me? Well,
- 3:21Speaker 1: one more time, A positive attitude can bring about change.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Or Steve, I set up in here and gave eight, nine,
- 3:32Speaker 1: twelve years of my life to this man and he
- 3:35Speaker 1: just he cheated on me and walked out. Now what
- 3:37Speaker 1: does me being positive have to do with him cheating
- 3:41Speaker 1: on me? How that's gonna change that? Okay, here we
- 3:45Speaker 1: go again. A positive attitude can bring about change. Now
- 3:49Speaker 1: listen to the whole thing. Now, the positive attitude and
- 3:55Speaker 1: the change that can happen starts just to start, It
- 4:00Speaker 1: starts within you. See, life is tempercent. What happens is
- 4:09Speaker 1: what you do about what happens. Okay, you gave twelve
- 4:12Speaker 1: years of your life to this man. He cheated and
- 4:15Speaker 1: left you hold in the bag, the kids and everything.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now what does being positive have to do with changing that?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Or they came in and they fired you. You lost
- 4:23Speaker 1: your job that you was a stellar performer at. But now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: how does you having a positive attitude how does that
- 4:30Speaker 1: change things for you? So far? You can use any example.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:40Speaker 1: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 1: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: have a positive out look, to expect things to virtually
- 5:00Speaker 1: turn around and and and and turn into a positive
- 5:03Speaker 1: That's very important because as the law of attraction comes
- 5:07Speaker 1: into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things.
- 5:15Speaker 1: If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know, if you want for nothing, then nothing comes
- 5:23Speaker 1: your way. If you want for positive attitude, if you
- 5:26Speaker 1: want for positive results, if you want for a great outcome,
- 5:29Speaker 1: that's what you attract to you. The change will begin
- 5:32Speaker 1: within you. So let's take the man that walked out
- 5:36Speaker 1: your life and left you hold in the bag. Here's
- 5:39Speaker 1: a positive attitude. Okay, two things have happened as positive here.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Number one, you've ridded yourself of someone who is obviously
- 5:48Speaker 1: going to be, if not already been, toxic in your life.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Cause you many restless nights, a lot of uncomfortable feelings,
- 5:57Speaker 1: an uneasiness, not sure in security you've been going through
- 6:01Speaker 1: it with this person, whoever they are. Number One, that
- 6:04Speaker 1: person has been released from your life. Number Two, it
- 6:08Speaker 1: allows you now to have the someone who will treat
- 6:12Speaker 1: you just the way you want to be treated. That's
- 6:15Speaker 1: the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way. That's when you're
- 6:19Speaker 1: a positive person. You see the positive in things that
- 6:22Speaker 1: happened to you instead of burying yourself under the what's
- 6:26Speaker 1: wrong with it? A old woe is me? Now concept?
- 6:29Speaker 1: See a positive attitude. When they came in there and
- 6:32Speaker 1: they fired you and let you go, could this not
- 6:36Speaker 1: have been just the opening you needed to finally start
- 6:40Speaker 1: on a new career path that you've been talking about doing? Anyway?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Could it possibly be a brand new chance for you
- 6:48Speaker 1: to get the dream job or dream career of your choice.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Could it not possibly be the perfect opportunity now for
- 6:56Speaker 1: you to finally finally do something about that gift, about
- 7:02Speaker 1: that talent that God gave you, that thing that you
- 7:05Speaker 1: love to do. Could it not be the perfect time
- 7:07Speaker 1: for you to pursue that. But if you don't have
- 7:09Speaker 1: a positive attitude, then you lay there, Oh they finned
- 7:13Speaker 1: come getting my house? Oh what I'm gonna do now,
- 7:17Speaker 1: all this unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord, when this unemployment
- 7:21Speaker 1: run out, what am I gonna do? Then I won't
- 7:23Speaker 1: have nothing? And you old woe is me until you
- 7:27Speaker 1: become old woe is me. But if you take it
- 7:30Speaker 1: from the positive approach, some amazing things can happen in
- 7:34Speaker 1: your life. I will tell you on a personal note,
- 7:38Speaker 1: that's some of the most some of the best changes,
- 7:41Speaker 1: some of the biggest moments in my life came after
- 7:44Speaker 1: a loss. So I don't want to go down on
- 7:47Speaker 1: the list, but boy, I could tell you. Let me,
- 7:48Speaker 1: let me tell you something. When they didn't want me
- 7:50Speaker 1: on the radio anymore in La, when they didn't know
- 7:54Speaker 1: when they went it was sick of the way I
- 7:55Speaker 1: did radio out there, and they wanted me gone. And
- 7:59Speaker 1: on May twenty third, two thousand and five, when my
- 8:05Speaker 1: when when when my deal was done with the beat
- 8:10Speaker 1: out in La? Okay, look what happened though, y'all? I
- 8:15Speaker 1: was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I started
- 8:18Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four cities. You see.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I didn't go old war was me? I said,
- 8:26Speaker 1: Oh okay, God must have something else from it then,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because if he didn't remove me from this. That must
- 8:32Speaker 1: be something else. Same thing can happened when you lose
- 8:35Speaker 1: and you and you and you break up in a relationship,
- 8:38Speaker 1: Same thing can happen to you. You never know the
- 8:40Speaker 1: one God God for you that here you go, here
- 8:43Speaker 1: you go again. Now you get put into a situation
- 8:45Speaker 1: with somebody, treat you just the waere you want to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be treated, provide you the whole lot of aspects of
- 8:50Speaker 1: your life you knew nothing about prior to that. But
- 8:52Speaker 1: you gotta stay positive. If you stay positive, that positive attitude,
- 8:57Speaker 1: that optimistic outlook, that that always thinking God got me
- 9:03Speaker 1: no matter what happened to me, some amazing things that's
- 9:06Speaker 1: going can will happen in your life. It's a fact.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't know how it works that way. I just
- 9:12Speaker 1: know that's what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So get off the old woe is Me negativity train
- 9:18Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and
- 9:20Speaker 1: get get your outlook up. If you change your attitude,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you change your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude.
- 9:29Speaker 1: How high you go, how big you become, how far
- 9:32Speaker 1: you go. It all depends on how you think. It
- 9:36Speaker 1: all depends on what type of attitude you got. Ain't no,
- 9:40Speaker 1: ain't no very very successful, super negative people. It just
- 9:44Speaker 1: doesn't coincide that way. If you see that something that
- 9:47Speaker 1: happened to them along the way, and don't wear you
- 9:49Speaker 1: ain't gonna weary about it because you ain't gonna see
- 9:51Speaker 1: them long because you can't stay up there like that.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It's just too hard, all right, that's the conversation you're
- 9:58Speaker 1: listening morning show ladies and gentlemen. Let me have it
- 10:04Speaker 1: undivided attention. Papa was a rolled and stone. Wherever he
- 10:11Speaker 1: laid his hat was his home. All who he left
- 10:17Speaker 1: this was alone. M m Papa was who rolled and stone,
- 10:26Speaker 1: wherever he laid his hat was his home. And when
- 10:31Speaker 1: he died, oh, he left dudes was alone. Hey mama,
- 10:43Speaker 1: that was my part right there, Hey mama, any of
- 10:48Speaker 1: the hard singing. Heard some folks talking about Papa doing
- 10:53Speaker 1: some storefront preaching, talking about saving souls and all the
- 10:58Speaker 1: time reaching then and dealing in the name of the lood.

- 11:22Speaker 1: chance to see him, never heard nothing but bad things
- 11:27Speaker 1: about him. Mama, I'm depending on you to tell me
- 11:32Speaker 1: the truth. Who Mama just hold her head down and said,
- 11:37Speaker 1: nephew Tommy. But the jacka kay, because that's Papa doing.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Folks say Papa with bag baba steel to pay beaus.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Did anybody hit that note that's walking around right now?
- 11:59Speaker 1: They do that? They don't. They don't do that type
- 12:02Speaker 1: of singing. No more man emotional that high note, that
- 12:07Speaker 1: high note or Philip Bailey from Earth and Fire he
- 12:14Speaker 1: got up there with Maxwell can do and er don't forget?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh but sing as you name it now, all dimm

- 13:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I feel like that about you. You feel

- 25:23Speaker 1: thought it would be, you know, like a sign of something,
- 25:26Speaker 1: something implements something from me, you know, kind of like
- 25:29Speaker 1: a token of where I wanted the relationship to go.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I don't even know you. You got my damn in
- 25:37Speaker 1: divorce court behind some damn draws, and I don't even

- 26:18Speaker 1: don't say that's what you want, because I'm trying to
- 26:20Speaker 1: explain to you. You didn't upset my whole alsehold, got
- 26:23Speaker 1: my over here to nerve, and you ain't understanding that,
- 26:27Speaker 1: so obviously what you are looking for as an altercation?
- 26:30Speaker 1: No I'm not looking for I'm looking for I'm looking
- 26:33Speaker 1: for some personal time with you. That's what I'm looking for.
- 26:36Speaker 1: My personal time is with my person. What about fit?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Don't you understand? I? Will you send me a pair
- 26:45Speaker 1: of your underwell? What I mean? I mean you're asking
- 26:49Speaker 1: too much? If you just send me a pair of
- 26:51Speaker 1: our go away? I sentially give me an address? Yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 1: tell me where to send them? Tell me where to
- 26:57Speaker 1: send right now? Are you gonna sell? What? Say? Hell?
- 27:01Speaker 1: Are you coming the address? You give address? Now? In fact,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I handle it the right tonight. So you're trying to
- 27:08Speaker 1: create an aufcake. Why don't just give you a po bucket?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Because so you're trying to create an affication. No, give
- 27:13Speaker 1: me your address, you got mine, you got my address.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Let me send you something to your address? No, no,
- 27:19Speaker 1: that's all right. Look, you know what? Can I say
- 27:21Speaker 1: one more thing to you? No? Yea, you know what
- 27:23Speaker 1: I wanted? What? What? What the do you have to
- 27:25Speaker 1: say to me? Can I say one more thing until
- 27:27Speaker 1: you please? What do you want? I just want to
- 27:31Speaker 1: tell you who I am? Can I tell you who
- 27:33Speaker 1: I am? You know it? Told me who you are?
- 27:36Speaker 1: I want to know how to you know me. Where
- 27:38Speaker 1: you getting my Listen to me real closely. This is
- 27:42Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just
- 27:46Speaker 1: got pranked by your sister. Oh hello, Oh I'm gonna
- 27:56Speaker 1: go what what the I want this? Yeah, I wan't
- 28:04Speaker 1: gonna get her. Oh my god. Hey, look we started
- 28:07Speaker 1: this over a week and a half a go. We
- 28:10Speaker 1: sick me. I'm been going through hell phone week behind me.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I ain't breath. Tell you man to
- 28:22Speaker 1: sim it down. It was all a break phone called baby.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Oh he is not going to believe this. Oh my goodness,
- 28:29Speaker 1: he is not gonna believe it. Tell me this, bree,
- 28:31Speaker 1: What is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 28:34Speaker 1: show in the land. Just Steve Harving Morning Show, draws
- 28:38Speaker 1: and all drows and oh my goodness, give me a call.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I'll do it for you. Our mail drawls, bras, penns, socks,
- 28:51Speaker 1: choose whatever it takes to get somebody up sick. So, yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 1: she wasn't having yet. You got her an age your
- 29:00Speaker 1: trouble with her. Her sister allowed us to do that.
- 29:03Speaker 1: That was a bit rescate. I knew it when we did.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Oh you knew that. All right, listen, we gotta get
- 29:08Speaker 1: out of here. Coming up, Thank you, coming up, coming
- 29:13Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. We'll have some
- 29:15Speaker 1: entertainment and national news right after this. You're listening to show,
- 29:23Speaker 1: all right, So Steve, you are trending big time. Uh.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Something you did yesterday was wow, like really something you
- 29:33Speaker 1: sat down and met and talked to Kanye West. What happened?
- 29:39Speaker 1: How did this come about? Yeah? Jealous? Yeah? Yeah, you
- 29:47Speaker 1: know what what happened that chopped up? Come on? Yeah?
- 29:55Speaker 1: You know? I like Kanye h oh, I do. Man,
- 30:01Speaker 1: He's really really a smart guy. And look, I think
- 30:05Speaker 1: we all realized that we all make mistakes, some tremendous mistakes.
- 30:10Speaker 1: So what Kanye and I did, and it was just
- 30:13Speaker 1: as simple as this, We just sat down with one another.
- 30:17Speaker 1: It was all about love, man. It was just all
- 30:20Speaker 1: about love man, you know, not criticizing anybody, but just
- 30:26Speaker 1: sharing different knowledge that we have and on a plethora
- 30:31Speaker 1: of subjects, mandom. We talked a lot about Jesus. We
- 30:36Speaker 1: talked a lot about Christ. We talked a lot about family.
- 30:42Speaker 1: We talked a lot about the media. We talked a
- 30:49Speaker 1: lot about social media. We talked a lot about our feelings,
- 30:55Speaker 1: you know, and we just ended up came away to
- 30:58Speaker 1: say that you know, you know, just just how we both,
- 31:05Speaker 1: you know, become better men and you know everybody you know,
- 31:13Speaker 1: Like I explained to him, you can live your life.
- 31:17Speaker 1: You can make it without your mother. All of us,
- 31:21Speaker 1: three of us on this show know what that is.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You can live your life without your father, almost all
- 31:29Speaker 1: of us know what that is. You can live your
- 31:32Speaker 1: life without your siblings or your brother. But the one
- 31:35Speaker 1: thing in life you cannot live without. You cannot live
- 31:38Speaker 1: without a friend. And we talked about that because and
- 31:43Speaker 1: I'm not just saying that because I know it from
- 31:47Speaker 1: a difference respective. Friendship truly is essential to the soul.
- 31:52Speaker 1: You cannot live your life without a friend. You got
- 31:55Speaker 1: to have somebody man that when it goes down, you
- 31:59Speaker 1: can turn to them and say, hey man, I'm messed up,
- 32:02Speaker 1: and they don't go what you do? You did? What
- 32:05Speaker 1: you need somebody man that when you make a mistake,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you go, hey man, I think I'm messed up. This
- 32:11Speaker 1: is what I said, all right, cool, my man, this
- 32:15Speaker 1: is what we're gonna do. And we talked about that,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and that's really the extent of it. Without me talking
- 32:22Speaker 1: about any particulars or anything. That was the gist of
- 32:26Speaker 1: the conversation. I'm really really happy that that we had
- 32:32Speaker 1: a chance to sit down together. You know, as he says, no, no, no, absolutely,
- 32:42Speaker 1: he's well, let me tell you something. Kanye is not
- 32:45Speaker 1: joking about Jesus now. No, no, he's not playing with that.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Kanye is not joking about Jesus. Don't nobody write it.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Don't nobody take what I said and twist it. The
- 32:58Speaker 1: brother is serious about his walk with Christ. You can
- 33:03Speaker 1: believe that. Now. You can judge him just like you
- 33:06Speaker 1: can judge me. You're not supposed to, but I mean,
- 33:10Speaker 1: but they gonna do it anyway. Yeah, so you can
- 33:13Speaker 1: judge him on his walk, just like I've been judged
- 33:16Speaker 1: on my walk. But that's the thing we had in common,
- 33:20Speaker 1: because we are both judge about our walk. And but
- 33:24Speaker 1: so is a lot of other people too. I mean,
- 33:26Speaker 1: at times they judge Bishop Jake's Kenneth Olmer, or Bishop
- 33:30Speaker 1: Getty's Billy you know him, everyone, Billy Graham, Joel Lolstein himself.
- 33:36Speaker 1: They were Joel lostin off as just a motivational speaker, right, Yeah, exactly,
- 33:42Speaker 1: they do. So he is really serious about Christ. All right, yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 1: go ahead. Well, I just wanted to ask you this
- 33:51Speaker 1: because we know you're Steve Harvey. But it's not every
- 33:54Speaker 1: day that you know. I mean, how did this meeting
- 33:56Speaker 1: come about? That You're just you have a meeting with
- 33:59Speaker 1: Kanye West? You know, I mean, I know you guys
- 34:02Speaker 1: knew each other and everything without divulging, you know each
- 34:06Speaker 1: other at the stove shirt and they just decided to talk.
- 34:09Speaker 1: That's That's a good one time. I like. And what
- 34:15Speaker 1: store was that? Yeah? You just having to both be
- 34:20Speaker 1: in there here right getting that peach milkshake. But I'll
- 34:25Speaker 1: tell you one thing though, if Steve Harvey and Kanye
- 34:29Speaker 1: West is sitting in a chick for late or let
- 34:33Speaker 1: me let me explain what the attention that come with that,
- 34:41Speaker 1: that's different. That was different that one hard chicken sandwich
- 34:45Speaker 1: eat never has everything, you know. Some of the comments
- 34:51Speaker 1: on the Graham were that you were going to be
- 34:53Speaker 1: as running mate VP. Now now let me say this
- 34:59Speaker 1: right here. We were there to share and aid one another.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I'll say it like this, and and and and before anybody,
- 35:06Speaker 1: let's be clear about something. I did not vote for
- 35:09Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I told him that when I sat there
- 35:13Speaker 1: and saw him, I didn't vote for Donald Trump at
- 35:16Speaker 1: that time. I went up there and met him. I
- 35:19Speaker 1: told him, I didn't vote for you, right, And I'm
- 35:22Speaker 1: not voting for Donald Trump this time. I am so
- 35:27Speaker 1: against his presidency. Now, you know, I can't speak for
- 35:32Speaker 1: everybody else, but I ain't with it, so you know, y'all.
- 35:35Speaker 1: But once again, you can say what you want to say,
- 35:37Speaker 1: but I'm I'm in the salvage business of young men,
- 35:42Speaker 1: my mentoring camp. Let me finish talking about it when
- 35:45Speaker 1: we come back. And then I just strattened it out.
- 35:48Speaker 1: You're listening to so Steve, you were telling us we
- 35:53Speaker 1: were about to go, but you were telling us about
- 35:55Speaker 1: your meeting with Kanye West yesterday. I mean, it was
- 35:59Speaker 1: just good overall. Now, let let me straighten a couple
- 36:02Speaker 1: of things out. Steve Harvey had ever been a Trump supporter, y'all,
- 36:08Speaker 1: and got on social media ran with that up the
- 36:10Speaker 1: mountain for no reason because you ain't having nothing else
- 36:12Speaker 1: to talk about. Steve Robert didn't vote for Donald Trump.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I voted for Hillary Clinton. And when I met with him,
- 36:17Speaker 1: I told him I didn't vote for you. I'm not
- 36:21Speaker 1: gonna vote for him this time. I think he's horrible
- 36:24Speaker 1: as a president. I've made that obviously clear. So for
- 36:28Speaker 1: anybody that's dealing from that standpoint, you're dealing wrong because
- 36:32Speaker 1: you just want to be messy, you want to have
- 36:34Speaker 1: something to say. This was not about Donald Trump. I
- 36:37Speaker 1: could care less. My whole mission is to not have
- 36:39Speaker 1: him as the president for a second time. I didn't
- 36:42Speaker 1: want him in there the first time. But I can
- 36:45Speaker 1: promise you. I can promise you, man, what it was
- 36:50Speaker 1: was really two men just putting their arms around each other.
- 36:57Speaker 1: You and I have a mintoring program. Yeah, I'm not
- 37:02Speaker 1: in to throw the brother away business. If a brother
- 37:07Speaker 1: is good and righteous and salvage your boat, we have
- 37:10Speaker 1: to make an attempt. Everybody make mistakes. Now, he didn't
- 37:13Speaker 1: come to me for that. You know again, you helped me.
- 37:17Speaker 1: He didn't ask me for that. That ain't what this was.
- 37:21Speaker 1: What we talked about was a lot of things. But
- 37:24Speaker 1: now one thing about it. Now, I'm gonna tell you
- 37:26Speaker 1: where I stand and what I think. Yeah, and we
- 37:31Speaker 1: can go for that. And let me just say that
- 37:33Speaker 1: that brother was open to a lot of good stuff. Man,
- 37:37Speaker 1: He was open to a lot of good stuff. And
- 37:38Speaker 1: I think, man, he just really was glad to have
- 37:41Speaker 1: somebody to talk to him from. That's from an older standpoint,
- 37:45Speaker 1: and that the don't want nothing from him because I
- 37:48Speaker 1: don't work for Kanye. Kanye don't pay me. I got
- 37:52Speaker 1: my own I don't need nothing from nobody. So I
- 37:55Speaker 1: think it was really good for him to sit with
- 37:58Speaker 1: somebody that wasn't trying to extra track because he got
- 38:01Speaker 1: a lot of people around him. That's that's coming to
- 38:05Speaker 1: him in the name of Christianity to extract. That's the sad.
- 38:12Speaker 1: That's the sad part. I wish Christianity was a little
- 38:17Speaker 1: bit different when it comes to you know, each other.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Just turned the other cheek, Steve turned try Jesus, please
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't try come on because I thow hands because I fight.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Well when you left him, did you feel better about
- 38:42Speaker 1: it when you left him? Oh? Yeah? Man? Great dude. Man,
- 38:46Speaker 1: he really is trying to make it mean. He got it.
- 38:50Speaker 1: He got some money to all right. Listen, coming up
- 38:53Speaker 1: in thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll do a
- 38:56Speaker 1: quick round of ask the CLO Chief Love Officer in
- 38:59Speaker 1: the bill right after this. You're listening to this morning
- 39:05Speaker 1: show time now to ask the chief love officer that
- 39:10Speaker 1: is a CLO or the cloth as the nephew calls
- 39:13Speaker 1: it ready, Steve Harvey clo. This one's from Jalicia in Topeka, Candas, Kansas.
- 39:22Speaker 1: She says, my husband and I are in our early
- 39:24Speaker 1: thirties and we've been married for two years. We met
- 39:27Speaker 1: by him sliding in my dms and asking me on
- 39:30Speaker 1: a date. The other day, I saw an Instagram DM
- 39:33Speaker 1: pop up on his phone. He was in the bathroom,
- 39:37Speaker 1: so I checked it for him. It was from a
- 39:39Speaker 1: video vixen looking half naked woman that he had sent
- 39:43Speaker 1: a message to. He asked her about a fat burner
- 39:46Speaker 1: that she used, and she replied to him it appeared
- 39:49Speaker 1: to be innocent. But that's how he met me by
- 39:53Speaker 1: messaging me on Instagram. He says, I'm tripping and he
- 39:58Speaker 1: changed his passcode. Would I be worried it was a
- 40:02Speaker 1: fat burner? He was asking about a fat burner. All
- 40:05Speaker 1: the DM was about was a fat burner. Whatever, Yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 1: that's all it was. You gotta ask somebody. We'll ask
- 40:13Speaker 1: the people at the store. The DM stand for don't
- 40:17Speaker 1: mess with it. DM stands for don't make Yeah, don't
- 40:25Speaker 1: make me. He in the COVID gaining weight. Oh, come on,
- 40:33Speaker 1: come on with this good. Thanks, that's all go ahead,
- 40:38Speaker 1: Tamica and Burston Burston, Texas says, I'm engaged and my
- 40:43Speaker 1: wedding is in five months. My fiance and I uh
- 40:47Speaker 1: sent out or save the date notices and we are
- 40:50Speaker 1: in the process of sending out the invitations. He asked
- 40:53Speaker 1: me if I had a few extra invitations because he
- 40:56Speaker 1: wants to invite his son's mother and her mom. They
- 40:59Speaker 1: have a great co parenting relationship and I think that's great.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But she and a mama don't need to be at
- 41:04Speaker 1: my wedding. He says. He loves her mama and they're
- 41:07Speaker 1: still close, so he wants her there. This is a
- 41:11Speaker 1: never ending battle and I don't think he understands my
- 41:15Speaker 1: point of view. Should we invite them or not? They
- 41:18Speaker 1: don't have to be at the wedding. No. See what
- 41:21Speaker 1: he's not understanding is the wedding is her day and brot,
- 41:25Speaker 1: you can't have causes your wedding too. Also, you can't
- 41:30Speaker 1: make your bride uncomfortable. Now, I got you like her
- 41:33Speaker 1: mama and her at your wedding? Man? You nuts? Are you?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Are you? I chilled? Mindzy? Hey doll, just keep sitting
- 41:44Speaker 1: them Christmas cards? Dog don't having people at your fandom
- 41:48Speaker 1: trying thing. Man, Is there anyone here who sees jes
- 41:51Speaker 1: cause I do. Yes, you're inviting trouble. You need to
- 41:58Speaker 1: ask him if he, for show still talks to us.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Ronald Ronald, Hey, dog man, don't do that. Don't don't
- 42:11Speaker 1: do that, sir, sir, that's not smart. And no, the
- 42:15Speaker 1: young lady has every right not to want them at
- 42:18Speaker 1: her way, and she should not be uncomfortable on her
- 42:20Speaker 1: best day of her And this is a never ending
- 42:23Speaker 1: battle before they get married. It's gonna be a battle
- 42:26Speaker 1: afterwards too. Yeah. Okay, this one's from Red and B
- 42:31Speaker 1: in The Bronx, New York. He says, or she says.
- 42:35Speaker 1: My husband and I have been married for seven years
- 42:37Speaker 1: and we just bought our second home. We need to
- 42:41Speaker 1: do some major upgrades to the home, and I've shown
- 42:43Speaker 1: my husband several ideas that I have. He doesn't like
- 42:47Speaker 1: anything I like, and he's taken it upon himself to
- 42:50Speaker 1: start redoing rooms on his own. He's doing way too much,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and I don't like the flooring he's chosen or the
- 42:57Speaker 1: cabinets he wants for the kitchen. I feel like this
- 42:59Speaker 1: is my area of expertise, he can add his input
- 43:03Speaker 1: and that's all. How can I get him to stop this? No,
- 43:09Speaker 1: this ain't gonna go good. First of all, everything you
- 43:12Speaker 1: put the reason he want to do it himself because
- 43:14Speaker 1: he keeps control the money. Oh is that what it is?
- 43:18Speaker 1: That's all it is. It's control the money. If I
- 43:21Speaker 1: put these cabinets in and this flow in here, I
- 43:24Speaker 1: didn't control the money. The reason he don't like nothing
- 43:26Speaker 1: you picked it is called everything you picked it out
- 43:29Speaker 1: his budget. I'm telling you, I'm telling this is a budget.
- 43:36Speaker 1: He don't like nothing you like. Yeah, I like this
- 43:39Speaker 1: here flow. I don't know what dude, don't understand that. Man,
- 43:42Speaker 1: if you force a woman to live in conditions she
- 43:44Speaker 1: don't want to live, you couldn't have been a miserable
- 43:46Speaker 1: house partner. All y'all gotta do is sit down and say, Okay,
- 43:49Speaker 1: what's the budget. This is what I can buy. Let
- 43:51Speaker 1: me make the choices. Yeah, all right, Celo, thank you.
- 43:54Speaker 1: It's always nailed it. Coming up the nephew with his
- 43:57Speaker 1: prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening Dave Harvey
- 44:02Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:05Speaker 1: right about four minutes after it's my strawberry letter for today.
- 44:08Speaker 1: The subject he loves to mention his ex wife. But
- 44:15Speaker 1: right now the nephew is here. Yeah, today's brank phone call?
- 44:21Speaker 1: What you got for us? Nap hooking up at the daycare?
- 44:27Speaker 1: Really one at the daycare run that if you would
- 44:34Speaker 1: cat dog? Hello, Hello, I'm trying to I'm trying to
- 44:40Speaker 1: reach freedom. This is freedom and cool? Is this? You
- 44:44Speaker 1: don't know me? My name is Lynnie Linnie. I know
- 44:48Speaker 1: I wanted to call you. I've been looking for trying
- 44:50Speaker 1: to get your phone number actually for like about the
- 44:53Speaker 1: last about two weeks nine. What do you need my number? Four? Baby?
- 44:56Speaker 1: Can you get on weeded because I'm on lunch like
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm trying here and meet me lunch and need to
- 45:00Speaker 1: come on with Okay, now is your um? Your husband
- 45:04Speaker 1: is uh? What is your name again? My name is Lynn? Okay,
- 45:11Speaker 1: and you're asking about my husband? Now what about Yes,
- 45:14Speaker 1: that's my husband. See. The problem I'm having, miss Freedom,
- 45:18Speaker 1: is that I looked through my wife cell phone about
- 45:23Speaker 1: two three weeks ago, and I have found out that
- 45:27Speaker 1: this actual phone number belown to your husband named and
- 45:31Speaker 1: he been text messaging her and stop right stop stop
- 45:36Speaker 1: stop wait at because but see, let me finish. Though
- 45:40Speaker 1: he's been text messaging her different uh text message and
- 45:44Speaker 1: stuff about he want to meet up with her, and
- 45:46Speaker 1: and how she looked the other day and stuff like
- 45:49Speaker 1: this hill. But then, but then even worse than this hill,
- 45:53Speaker 1: is he you know done, send some some some pictures
- 45:57Speaker 1: of himself some some naked pictures on the on the
- 46:01Speaker 1: on the sale phone. No, no, sir, not, I know
- 46:07Speaker 1: not because if anything, if he texting anybody needs to
- 46:11Speaker 1: be an employer about a jaw. I know you're not
- 46:14Speaker 1: saying to me, whole body, who is your wife? What's
- 46:16Speaker 1: your name again? What's your name again? My name is Linnie,
- 46:19Speaker 1: and my my my wife name is my wife name
- 46:22Speaker 1: is Denise, Denise, Denise Denise. That ain't registering with me.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I don't. We pretty much have an opera relationship where
- 46:31Speaker 1: we kind of communicate and m I don't. I don't
- 46:34Speaker 1: know about no Denise together. Okay, dude, do your husband's
- 46:40Speaker 1: last fold digits on his phone is sixty eight twenty two. Yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 1: that would be last digit. Okay, see that what I'm saying, man,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I'm not trying to call you, you know, I mean,
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm I'm disappointed in my wife because of these text
- 46:56Speaker 1: messes and in these pictures and stuff. You know, I'm
- 46:58Speaker 1: I'm the one. That's what I say. Okay, I need
- 47:01Speaker 1: to call this man wife right here and see what
- 47:04Speaker 1: you know? Do she even know it? I need you
- 47:07Speaker 1: the way to meet it? Back up and re quiet
- 47:09Speaker 1: for me to look here. Okay, denise your lineing? Okay,
- 47:14Speaker 1: where they supposed to have mad ed? What? What you know?
- 47:16Speaker 1: Because we used to go everybody again when we go
- 47:18Speaker 1: to first of all, the don't work. Let's let's go there.
- 47:21Speaker 1: He does not work. I don't know where it is
- 47:24Speaker 1: when he got when he generally when he leaves the house,
- 47:27Speaker 1: we're together. So where did they meet with? How did
- 47:30Speaker 1: how did they meet two weeks ago? You say, because oh,
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'm listening to you now, you got I don't. I
- 47:34Speaker 1: don't know if they meant two weeks ago. I'm just
- 47:36Speaker 1: I just found him in the cell phone two weeks ago.
- 47:41Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Now. You say, if you're saying
- 47:43Speaker 1: he don't work, then evidently it must be doing the
- 47:46Speaker 1: day while you go, or something I don't do. I
- 47:49Speaker 1: mean you you say, you on your lunch break right now? Yeah? Huh?
- 47:53Speaker 1: And where is your wife right now. Wait a minute,
- 47:55Speaker 1: do you know where your wife feel is right now? Uh? Well,
- 47:58Speaker 1: she's bosed to be at work right now. And you
- 48:00Speaker 1: know what I just called. He told me he was
- 48:02Speaker 1: gonna getting the tube and when I called back the
- 48:05Speaker 1: tacond along he used it. It's okay, it's yeah, okay,
- 48:09Speaker 1: if I ain't have to go back in this hospital,
- 48:11Speaker 1: baby baby, baby, See, yeah, where's your wife? I need
- 48:15Speaker 1: you to get to We need to your wife field.

- 48:27Speaker 1: so upset. I'm working all day. I get up a
- 48:32Speaker 1: fow in the morning to make sure I got everything
- 48:35Speaker 1: prepared for the whole day. Try to get the kids
- 48:37Speaker 1: or we have three kids? One, two, and three? Yeah, okay, okay,
- 48:44Speaker 1: is he the one? Because he I do he because
- 48:47Speaker 1: my wife works at a at a daycare? Do he
- 48:50Speaker 1: drop him off at a daycare? Don't start you, your baby.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You is getting deeper if I get to this, what
- 48:58Speaker 1: daycare does your wife working at? Because I see, don't
- 49:02Speaker 1: start me. Yeah, he's dropping them off okay, uh huh.
- 49:06Speaker 1: If you tell me the baby, just sell me if
- 49:08Speaker 1: our poem I sweat lining. No, Now she's been at
- 49:11Speaker 1: this place called children's Academen. You lie, you bet not
- 49:17Speaker 1: tell me this non working. Its w thaty're supposed to
- 49:21Speaker 1: be watching our kids. See see I'm already and see
- 49:24Speaker 1: but see I'm already up set and been upset about.
- 49:27Speaker 1: This year is for the lad. I've been holding it
- 49:29Speaker 1: for the lands two weeks. I've been holding it. Ain't
- 49:32Speaker 1: said nothing tied. Why are you holding it? Ye? Why
- 49:37Speaker 1: you the big called me with them. I was just

- 49:56Speaker 1: he feels good as a man although he's not working.
- 50:00Speaker 1: You know when this party y'all laid out, But hey,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I want him to feel good. I'll go he's nowhere
- 50:04Speaker 1: because you know y'all don't feel too good when you
- 50:06Speaker 1: not work, So I wanted him to feel good. I
- 50:08Speaker 1: tell the kids, you know it's gonna be okay. But
- 50:11Speaker 1: I bet you this got that is my wife. Don't
- 50:16Speaker 1: be she's my wife. No, wait a minute, not for
- 50:20Speaker 1: wait a minute. See I told you it was ignoricancy.

- 50:29Speaker 1: because she said she too. She said he raised that out.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I say, I'm not a player game and with my
- 50:35Speaker 1: hut and he's spending our neked pitcher. He ain't got
- 50:38Speaker 1: to be showing up No, like trust me, it ain't
- 50:41Speaker 1: worth on. I was just with him because he was
- 50:43Speaker 1: a good man. I guess mine. She's dumb too. Oh.

- 53:38Speaker 1: we have here is Strausberry Atlanta. You're stupid. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Subject he loves to mention his ex wife. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I'm married to my high school sweetheart, but we have
- 53:54Speaker 1: only been married for four years. After high school, we
- 53:58Speaker 1: went our separate ways and he was married for twenty
- 54:00Speaker 1: years and had three kids with his wife. I was
- 54:04Speaker 1: married for thirteen years and I got a divorce and
- 54:07Speaker 1: was raising my two children alone. When I reconnect it
- 54:10Speaker 1: with my high school sweetheart, we blended our families and
- 54:14Speaker 1: picked right back up where we left off in high school.
- 54:17Speaker 1: We have lots in common and we share a lot
- 54:19Speaker 1: of old friends and memories. The only problem I'm having
- 54:23Speaker 1: in the marriage is when my husband mentions how his
- 54:26Speaker 1: ex wife did things, and he compares me to her.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He makes sure he always gives me credit as being
- 54:34Speaker 1: better than his ex. But I need him to stop
- 54:37Speaker 1: mentioning her altogether. We were having a crab boil and
- 54:40Speaker 1: I peeled the shrimp before adding them to the pot.
- 54:43Speaker 1: He told me he likes a shrimp peeled because he
- 54:46Speaker 1: likes a shrimp peeled because Carol used to leave the
- 54:50Speaker 1: shell on. I don't need to know what Carol did
- 54:53Speaker 1: with her shrimp. It's annoying and hurtful, especially when he
- 54:57Speaker 1: does it in front of others. Some of his friends
- 55:00Speaker 1: from his previous marriage are now my friends too, and
- 55:03Speaker 1: it's uncomfortable for them If my husband mentions his ex
- 55:06Speaker 1: wife in our conversation. I get that he spent twenty
- 55:10Speaker 1: years with the woman, so he got used to how
- 55:12Speaker 1: she did things, but he and I need to get
- 55:14Speaker 1: settled into our own ways of doing things. He overheard
- 55:18Speaker 1: me talking to my son and I told him he's
- 55:20Speaker 1: the spitting image of his daddy. My husband later told
- 55:24Speaker 1: me that it sounds like I miss my ex husband.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Why can't he understand that's how I feel when he
- 55:29Speaker 1: talks about his ex How can I get him to
- 55:32Speaker 1: stop bringing up his ex wife to me and others. Well,
- 55:38Speaker 1: if I were petty, you know, if I were like
- 55:40Speaker 1: a petty and vindictive person, I would just tell you
- 55:43Speaker 1: to mention your ex every time he mentioned Carol, his ex,
- 55:48Speaker 1: every time, and maybe even in the bedroom, although I
- 55:52Speaker 1: really wouldn't advise that one. But for me, you know,
- 55:55Speaker 1: depends on how petty you want to get here. Okay, Patty, Betty, Patty, Betty,
- 56:04Speaker 1: you know you could make a contest out of it
- 56:05Speaker 1: to see who could mention them the most. Okay, But
- 56:08Speaker 1: I'm not petty, Betty, so I say explain it to
- 56:12Speaker 1: him in a rational, calm way. You could start with
- 56:14Speaker 1: something like, you know, honey, remember when you overheard me
- 56:17Speaker 1: talking to my son, to our son about how much
- 56:21Speaker 1: he looks like his dad. Well, you told me, you know,
- 56:24Speaker 1: you said it sounded like I missed my ex. That's
- 56:27Speaker 1: what you said. But that wasn't the case, you know.
- 56:32Speaker 1: But guess what, I understand what you meant by that completely,
- 56:36Speaker 1: Because every time you mentioned Carol, your ex, I feel
- 56:40Speaker 1: like you're comparing me to her, and I think you
- 56:43Speaker 1: do that a lot. You were with her for twenty years.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I get that, so you became accustomed to the way
- 56:48Speaker 1: she did things so much so that it seems like
- 56:51Speaker 1: you can't help mentioning it every chance you get, especially
- 56:55Speaker 1: when we're around our friends. At least I said that
- 56:57Speaker 1: to my son, our son, and private when it was
- 56:59Speaker 1: just to two of us and no one else. I'm
- 57:01Speaker 1: bringing all this up because I don't think you realize
- 57:04Speaker 1: how much you mentioned Carol, your ex to me. I mean,
- 57:08Speaker 1: do you understand how that makes me feel? You're talking
- 57:11Speaker 1: to your husband now, do you understand that? And I
- 57:15Speaker 1: hope that's what it is, that you just don't really
- 57:17Speaker 1: get or realize what you're doing, and not the fact
- 57:20Speaker 1: that you miss her like you accuse me of missing
- 57:23Speaker 1: my ex. So I'm you know, I'm saying all this
- 57:26Speaker 1: to say, please, let's be mindful. Let's be conscientious of
- 57:30Speaker 1: what we say to each other and how we say things,
- 57:32Speaker 1: how we speak to each other. Please, we've been married
- 57:35Speaker 1: for four years. We want this to last a long
- 57:37Speaker 1: time till death. So as not to cause any more
- 57:40Speaker 1: hurt feelings or misunderstands, we both have moved on. Remember,
- 57:45Speaker 1: that's why we're together. That's how we got together in
- 57:47Speaker 1: the first place. Because we've moved on. Let's leave the
- 57:50Speaker 1: past and the past we have to do that, say
- 57:53Speaker 1: something like that, Like I said, in a rational, calm manner,
- 57:56Speaker 1: don't go tit for tat with them, you know, unless
- 58:00Speaker 1: you absolutely have to. But I wouldn't do that. But
- 58:02Speaker 1: just remind him. Maybe he's you know, not thinking clearly enough,
- 58:06Speaker 1: and you got to remind him. But if you need
- 58:08Speaker 1: to get Patty Girl gone and get Patty Steve, well,
- 58:15Speaker 1: I'm in total disagreement with you. Sheldon Ah, this letter
- 58:20Speaker 1: don't call for all that I think so beautiful response,
- 58:25Speaker 1: well thought out, everything like that. Here's a problem. High
- 58:29Speaker 1: school sweethearts. He was married for twenty years, had three kids,
- 58:33Speaker 1: he was man for thirteen hand two. Y'all got back together,
- 58:37Speaker 1: pick right back where we left off. We got lots
- 58:41Speaker 1: in commas. We share a lot of old friends and memories.
- 58:46Speaker 1: The only problem I'm having with this marriage here is
- 58:49Speaker 1: what the letter is about. It's quinn. My husband mentioned
- 58:53Speaker 1: how his ex wife did things, and he compares me
- 58:57Speaker 1: to her. I have one for him. Why is she
- 59:04Speaker 1: your X? The fact that he keeps mentioning her. We've
- 59:10Speaker 1: got to dig into why she is the X? Because
- 59:17Speaker 1: if you miss hug and you keep mentioning her and
- 59:21Speaker 1: you keeps comparing you to her. Maybe he didn't want out,
- 59:29Speaker 1: he just ended up out. Maybe he's not mentioning her
- 59:33Speaker 1: because he's just habit. Maybe it's a longing. I don't know,
- 59:39Speaker 1: but I have a couple of ideas for you when
- 59:41Speaker 1: we come back, because this is crazy. Just keep mentioning
- 59:45Speaker 1: her name. That's wrong with you, Carol? Part two Seves
- 59:55Speaker 1: Carol used to lead the shells on. Well that Part
- 59:58Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: after be our subject he loves to mention his ex wife.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: He loves to mention his ex wife. This man keep
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: bringing up his ex wife to his carron wife. Your
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: husband mentions how his ex wife did stuff, and he
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: compassed me to her. Now he makes sure he give
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you credit though for being better than his ex. But
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I need him to stop mentioning her altogether. He was
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: a good example. We're having a crab barrel crab boyl
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: excuse me having a crab boil. I peeled the shrimp
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: before adding him to the pot. He told me he
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: likes to shrimp peel because Carol used to lead a share.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I don't need to know what Cal did. Okay, see,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: well he is just shlly say get patty. I disagree
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: with it, but he is a freem You have to.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: He told me he liked the shrimp po calls Carol
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: used to leave it on the shall. Then your response
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: should be Harol always liked him off to shell it,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: and that's why I figured you would too. That sometimes
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: all right, well let me try. It's annoying. It her fault,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: especially when you do it in front of others, some
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: of his friends from the previous marriage or now my
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: friends too. And it's uncomfortable for them. If my husband
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: mentioned that his ex wife in our conversation, if he's
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: still uncomfortable for them, if he mentions his ex wife
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: in our conversation, Shirley saying mentioned yours too. Okay, Shirley,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: say something that the man would say about a woman
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: in the conversation with a group of friends, and I'll
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: give you her response. Oh that's how you wearing your hair.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Oh I liked it better when Carol Carol. When she
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: wear hair, she used to have the bangs kind of
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: swooped to the side. Well, I wear my hair like
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Carol Mama. That's how I go to just started right there,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: got to be patty side. Try nothing to Suley. Oh
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: you got on those shoes. Oh Carol used to wear
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: red bottom. Well you know, I get some red red bottoms,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: but you don't wear they don't come in your side.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I don't know who I insulted on that. What you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: say you got too deep? Yeah, I don't know. I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: just try to hurt somebody. Okay, Now who am I Shirley?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: You're the husband who always compares his wife to No,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you're doing the husband, and I'm showing how how to
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: come back. Okay, so you know her? Okay, now I
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: go okay, yeah, so I'll just do the same one up.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Those aren't red bottoms. Carol always wore red bottoms my
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: ex Carol. Yeah, well Carol must have had more money
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: because you're broke. Ass I'm down here, pay less. You're
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: supposed to bring in her ex husband? Go ahead, shit, Okay,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: all right? What are these pancakes or waffles? Because when
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Carol cooked him I could always tell the difference. Well, hell,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: it never made hair no difference what I did because
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I was naked cooking both of them. Okay, now now
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: you get your legs, ye come on now I'm ready, Okay,

- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Former Secretary of State Republican Colin Paul announced yesterday that
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: he supports Joe Biden for president. Yeah, you know, he
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: is a Republican. But you know, look, man, people who
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: are Look, you can be a conservative. I don't have
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: a problem with that, right it, But if you care
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: about this country, man, you have to care about the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: type of leadership that represents the country. If you're going
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: to vote conservative, didn't vote a righteous conservative. End somebody
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: with some character, right, don't just get this, dude. They
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: ain't got no morals. But he's a conservative moral less president. Man,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Get out of here. Yeah, come on, y'all. And he
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: doesn't even represent what you all's values are supposed to be.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: I mean, he don't even come close. Yeah, right, you're
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: absolutely right dictatorship attitude. But I did love last night.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: I just wanted to say this. Last night at the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Democratic National Convention. I loved when they show all of
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the delegates all from all around the country video of
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: them nominating. You know, they took role, took the vote
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: in nominating Joe Biden. That was nice because you saw America.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: You saw people from all backgrounds, Americans casting their vote
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: for their candidate. That was not Yeah, you saw the people,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: like you say, people, not the party. You saw the people. Yes,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: the vote represented in this country. Yeah. Speaking of voting, Carla,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: there are seventy six days left until the November thirty election.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Go right now to get registered. Please vote for one

- 1:09:43Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, it's some shocking news
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: coming out of Saint Louis. At the top of the hour,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: we'll talk about the owners of Sweetie Pies restaurant. You're
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: not going to believe what happened. We'll tell you right
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, well, we all are
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: familiar with the restaurant and the TV show. Welcome to
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Sweetie Pies. We all know that we've been to that restaurant.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, the owner and founder of
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Sweetie Pies, Miss Robbie, is dealing with some shocking news.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: This is regarding the death of her grandson. Well, cops
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: have arrested Miss Robbie's son, Timothy his name is Tim Norman,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: for his alleged role and involvement in the two thousand
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and sixteen shooting death of Andre Montgomery. That is Miss
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Robbie's grandson. Yes, yes, yes, so remember, yeah, this is
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: really crazy. Tim took out a four hundred and fifty
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: thousand dollars life insurance policy on his nephew, who was
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: also Miss Robbie's grandson, Andre. And it was Tim. It
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: was Tim, her son who allegedly hired a woman named
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Terica Ellis to kill Andrea, a lady killed allegedly allegedly.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: This is all yeah until yeah. According to authorities, Terrika
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Ellis and Tim, missus Robbie's son, communicated on burner phones
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: to kill Andre for the insurance money. Both. Yeah. Now
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Tim is in jail in Madison County in Jackson, Mississippi.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: He is facing murder for higher conspiracy charges. Right now
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: he's in jail in Mississippi and Jackson, Mississippi. This is
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: crazy and I really yeah, Miss Robbie hasn't been on
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: the show before this. Yes, lad, we've been to a restaurant.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Wow shows when you come to Saint Louis, she can
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: watch a perform And so now she lost her grandson
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: at the hands of her son, and who's in jail
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: her son, so she's lost them both. I mean this
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: is really really yeah, god, yeah, this is the kind
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: of oh though to take out you have life insurance
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: on your nephew, that's yeah. Yeah, well, I mean that's
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: what helps lead him to it. Nobody's stupid now right,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: that's right, Steve, that's it. He did work. Yeah. I
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: just I just I don't even know what to say
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: about this. This sounds like something out of date line.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: You know this this Forensic files right here. This this
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: is like we missed, like by older Davis how to
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: get away to murder? You know his story from you
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: know this is a woman a woman to kill his nephew.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: That's that's sad. Yeah, come on, man who knows family
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: got the former stripper or something? I don't know, all um,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you know details are still coming in and because they're
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: saying that he after the murder, she called him Ellis,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: called Tim Norman. She left town and there was nine
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: thousand dollars cash deposit in various bank accounts, and so
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: they kind of, you know, like you said, Steve, they
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: pieced it together, I guess, and followed the trail, you know,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: and the burner phones and cell phone records what they
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: call them cell phone towers. I mean, I feel so
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: bad from miss rob What a sweet, beautiful devastated You
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: got to be heartbroken, devastated this family man. Yeah, this
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: happened four years ago, in twenty sixteen. Yeah, so you
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: know they've been following this case, the authorities, and finally
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: they pieced it together. Um. Wow, four hundred and fifty
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: thousand dollars. You hire someone to kill your own blood,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: your own nephew, your mother's grandchild. That's what you did
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: to your mother. What do you think this is going
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: to do to her? But nine thousand dollars, well that's
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: how much was deposited so far. Who knows Junior with
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: it money trail will lead to. But no amount of
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: money can justify any right, Yeah you can nothing. Yeah,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: we talk about and on top of that, we talk
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: about family. Yeah, the prayer is going out to you
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: and condolences Miss Robbie. Um, yeah it is. We'll be
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show. While the United States
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Postmaster General has now decided to suspend all major changes
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: to the US Postal Service until after the November election,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: uh Lewis DeJoy announced yesterday that in order to avoid
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: even the appearance of voter suppression, he's immediately suspending the
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: restriction of changing the hours at the post Office. He
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: vowed to keep mail processing equipment in place and blue
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: collection boxes in place. No word on whether the Post
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Office will bring back the blue collection boxes that have
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: already been remote dangels already done. Yeah, yeah, that did happen.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: That's what they do. See, they're so sliquid it the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: damage is already done. Yeah, you had a plan for this,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: but you didn't have a plan for COVID nineteen. But
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: you had a plan for this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: so we got enough we can call it off now. Yeah.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I mean really, this was strategic right here, That's what
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I said. With him appointing that guy. This is all
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: a part of it. He was a huge Trump supporter
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and he's made large contribution big Now all of a
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: sudden he's expected attorney general, really US postmaster general whatever,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: No con That's what I keep saying, that how can
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: they do this tampering with you know, agree is up
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: there where Russia to me, tap with the election right
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the same thing? Ye? Look yeah, but he got out
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: of that. He weaseled his way out of that. We'll
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: You're listening to show time now to ask the chief
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Love Officer that is the clo or the cloth as
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: the nephew calls it, ready, Steve Harvey clo. This one's
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: from Jalicia in Topeka, Candas, Kansas. She says, my husband
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: and I are in our early thirties and we've been
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: married for two years. We met by him sliding in
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: my DMS and asking me on a date. The other
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: day I saw on Instagram DM pop up on his phone.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: He is in the bathroom, so I checked it for him.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: It was from a video vixen looking half naked woman
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: that he had sent a message to. He asked her
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: about a fat burner that she used, and she replied
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: to him it appeared to be innocent. But that's how
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: he met me by messaging me on Instagram. He says,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I'm tripping and he changed his pass code. Should I
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: be worried? It was a fat burner? He was asking
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: about a fat burn All the DM was about was
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: a fat burner. Whatever, Yeah, that's all it was. You
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: gotta ask somebody. We'll ask the people at the store.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: The DM stand for don't mess with it. DM stands
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: for don't make Yeah, ok, don't make me. Yesterday he
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: in the COVID gaining weight. Oh, come on, come on
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: with this good fake it. That's all Tamika and Burson Burston,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Texas says, I'm engaged and my wedding is in five months.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: My fiance and I sent out or save the date
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: notices and we are in the process of sending out
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: the invitations. He asked me if I had a few
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: extra invitations because he wants to invite his son's mother
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: and her mom. They have a great co parenting relationship
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: and I think that's great. But she and a mama
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: don't need to be at my wedding. He says he
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: loves her mama and they're still close, so he wants
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: her there. This is a never ending battle and I
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: don't think he understands my point of view. Should we
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: invite them or not? They don't have to be at
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: the wedding. No. See what he's not understanding is the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: wedding is her day, and Brot, you can't have causes
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: your wedding too. Also, you can't make your bride uncomfortable. Now,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I got you like her mama and her at your wedding? Man?
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: You nuts? Are you? Are you at your mind? Hey? Dog?
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Just keep sitting them Christmas cards? Dog? Don't have people
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: at your fandom, John Man, Is there anyone here who
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: sees Jess cars I do. Yes, you're inviting trouble. You
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: need to ask him if he for show because he
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: still talks to us. Ronald, Ronald, Hey, dog man, don't
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: do that. Don't don't do that. So coming up our
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: last break of the day, it's last break, it is
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: her day, and we'll have some closing remarks of course
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: from the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: minutes after right after this you're listening show. All right,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: here we are, last break of the day. Democratic National
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Convention going strong in Wisconsin. Uh, Steve, Yeah, seventy six
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: days left. Yeah, real good Yeah, John Legend, Yes, a
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: good job away. Yeah, Doctor Joe Biden, fantastic. I mean
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: just I'm just enjoying it. I'll just say that. Yeah. Yes, Uh,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: President Black Obama will spend tonight night night, baby, All
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: the real chief speaks tonight. All the hitters is rolling
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: the end the seven uh huh. And then Thursday night
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: they accept the nomination. Wait, does Kamala speak tonight? Yes, yeah,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: she's going to speak tonight? Obama? Hillary Clinton? Yeah, who speaking?
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Who's speaking tonight? Hillary? President Obama? Hillary Clinton? And Kamala
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Harris VP presumptive VP nominee. This is such a look
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: we've got to do. Oh man, Yeah, he's got the nomination,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: but we got to do our part. And I'm talking
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to brothers and sisters, man, because I want you to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: understand something here. Your vote is absolutely critical. Every one
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: of your votes is critical. We cannot sit this out.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: We cannot run the risk of you not voting. Every
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: time you don't vote. Listen to me, it's a vote
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: for Donald Trump. I'm just telling you we are responsible
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to change We have the responsibility to change this election.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: But we have the power to change this election. We
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: can change this election, y'all, We really can. We single
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: handedly can change the direction of this country in November
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: with a vote. Now, listen to me. If you don't
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: think that Joe Biden is a stark difference between Donald Trump.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I mean, come on, let's stop for a minute. Now,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: listen to me. I understand the conservative argument that we
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: are conservative people. We've voted conservative our whole life. Understand that.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I just want to ask conservative this question right here.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: If you had to pick a conservative candidate to make
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: sure that your morals and values were upheld, really, really,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: would it be Donald Trump? I don't think it would, man,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I just don't think it would. I know too many
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: really good conservative people that are nothing like Donald Trump.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I know some great liberals Democrats that are nothing like
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I would not want any one of my
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: children to emulate anything about him. And he's the president
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: of the United States. I can't say his service record
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: because he ducked out of that. I can't say his
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: education because I'm not really sure he don't sound very
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: educated to me. I'm sorry. If he went to the
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: brightest school in this country, Warden or Worthington or whatever
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: the name of it is, Warden, whatever he does, he
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: sound like it to you, not to me. Would you
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: morally want your children to grow up to be like that?
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Would you knowingly want your child to grow up while married,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: paying off porno stars, having playboard bunnies walk in the
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: same house that you share with your family. Would you
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: want your children to be that way? Would you want
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: your children to grow up to treat human beings the
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: way he's treated human beings? Would you want him to
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: cancel the debt? Would you want your child to ruin
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: people's lives by canceling doctor program? Would you want your
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: children to go up to repeal Obamacare, even at the
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: risk of stopping a medical plan that helps people with
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: pre existing conditions. I just don't think you would. Man,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I don't keep I don't see conservative people that way.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I think they're Christians. I think they have Christian values,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: of course I do. That's what I think conservative people have.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I do not understand why, as a conservative, a Christian,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: a moral people, that you would vote for Donald Trump
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I mean, man, I would rather vote for Biden and
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: then wait for years and try to come up with
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: a good Republican candidate. But Donald Trump is just not
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: a great candidate. I don't care if he was on
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: the Democratic ticket, the independent ticket, order Republican ticket. He's
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: not good for this country. He's too divisive. He really
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: doesn't care about the common man. I don't know if
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: you all are paying attention to this, but he cares
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: nothing about the common man. He don't even know who
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you are because he never been one. I think that
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: conservative people are better than Donald Trump. I really do.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: And it's sad that you have found a way to
