Latest / The Lila Rose Show / E16: Coronavirus: How We Respond
Transcript
- 0:00Hey everybody, welcome to the Lila Rose show.
- 0:03It has been several months since I have done this podcast.
- 0:06We finished season one last year and now this is the first
- 0:09episode of season 2. I took a hiatus because I was
- 0:14out for maternity leave. I had my baby three months ago.
- 0:18It has been amazing. I look forward to sharing more
- 0:20about that. We welcome to a little sun into
- 0:22the world three months ago and also I was planning to do some
- 0:26new things with the podcast for season 2.
- 0:28So as many of you who are listening and following along
- 0:30for Season 1, thank you so much for joining for that.
- 0:34I wanted to expand for Season 2 to include video and to have a
- 0:38studio where I can actually interview guests in person.
- 0:41As you may notice, I'm not in a studio right now.
- 0:44I'm actually in my living room. We are part of this global
- 0:49crisis that's taken place in just the last few weeks.
- 0:51Where we are now, My husband and I, my our baby, have been in
- 0:54this apt. I think it's been maybe 10 days
- 0:57now. And I know a lot of you guys are
- 0:59in the same boat, but I wanted to get started with the podcast
- 1:03regardless because I was planning on doing this late May
- 1:06and there's so much to talk about.
- 1:07So thank you for bearing with me and I'm excited to cover a lot
- 1:10of stuff in the coming weeks. I'm going to try to do this
- 1:13weekly with everything going on. I'm going to see if I can keep
- 1:16that going. But we'll talk at the end of
- 1:19this episode about some of the things that you can expect, some
- 1:20of the great topics we'll be covering and folks we will be
- 1:22looking to interview in the next coming weeks.
- 1:25But for today, I wanted to talk about coronavirus.
- 1:28Of course, it's all over the news.
- 1:30It's impacting virtually everybody.
- 1:32It's a global pandemic, COVID-19.
- 1:36Almost no one had heard of this just a few months ago, but now
- 1:40everyone has heard of it. And, you know, India is
- 1:43completely shut down. Shelter in place for all 1.4
- 1:50citizens of India, China. This disease, it appears,
- 1:53started in Wuhan, China, and there were thousands of deaths
- 1:56and 10s of thousands affected. If you're in the United States,
- 1:59I'm here in Los Angeles. We've been sheltering in place
- 2:02in Los Angeles by order of the mayor and the governor of the
- 2:04state for over the last week. And many of you across the
- 2:08country have received similar orders from mayors or governors.
- 2:12And then the president of the United States has said that we
- 2:14should practice social distancing for the end until the
- 2:19end of this month. And then there will probably be
- 2:21an update about what to be, what should be done next to try to
- 2:24slow the spread or flatten the curve of the disease.
- 2:28There is a lot that I could say about this issue, about this,
- 2:33this, this crisis that's affected so many people.
- 2:36There's a lot of debates happening about it.
- 2:38And, you know, how serious it is.
- 2:40Is it worth these strident measures that the government is
- 2:43taking? Is it enough, You know, concerns
- 2:45about overwhelming our medical system.
- 2:48I don't want to get into that though, because a lot of that is
- 2:52are things outside of our control.
- 2:54I do not envy the position of a an elected official right now of
- 2:59a public health official who has to make really tough calls with
- 3:02limited information because this virus is brand new.
- 3:05COVID-19 has not been studied for for months or years or
- 3:08decades. It's been, it's really just
- 3:09entered the the world seen just the last few months and just
- 3:12entered the United States in just the last several weeks.
- 3:14So I don't want to talk too much about that.
- 3:16What I want to focus on are the things that we can control.
- 3:20And again, this is not to say that we don't have an impact.
- 3:22We don't, we aren't supposed to have an impact in those bigger
- 3:25decisions. I mean, we elected our
- 3:26officials. We should be voicing our
- 3:28concerns. We should be having the debates
- 3:30that we're having. It's all really important.
- 3:32But the reality is there are a lot of people feeling a lot of
- 3:35anxiety right now. There's a there's a sense of
- 3:37chaos and potential impending doom out there.
- 3:40Some people feel more at peace than others, but everyone has
- 3:42been affected. Some of us know loved ones who
- 3:45are facing have COVID-19. We have loved ones who maybe
- 3:50have lost their jobs or people that we know who are losing
- 3:53income because of this. So many of us are affected in
- 3:55one way or another. And certainly the threat of the
- 3:57thing, whether it's the economy that's potentially going to
- 4:01continue to take a plummet. I mean, already over a million
- 4:04people have filed for unemployment in just the last
- 4:07week. And this is more than filed for
- 4:10unemployment in the 2000 since the 2008 recession.
- 4:12So it's been really crazy the reaction both economic and then
- 4:17of course what is happening with this actual spread of the
- 4:20disease. So I don't want to get into
- 4:22that. What I want to get into is what
- 4:23we can control because I think it is crucial for each of us to
- 4:26think about what is up to us in our day-to-day right now.
- 4:30And there are 6 things that have been really helping me in the
- 4:32last 10 plus days and that I hope will be helpful to you.
- 4:37First of all, the context here is not many of you, many of you
- 4:42may know this might not, but we right now smack dab in the
- 4:45middle of what is called Lent. Lent is the 40 days before
- 4:49Easter that a lot of Christians observe as a time for us to
- 4:55really confront our own mortality, recognize that we are
- 5:00to dust and to dust we will return as human beings.
- 5:03We cannot control death, that death comes for us all.
- 5:06That's one certain thing that we all share is that we will all
- 5:08die just as much as we are all living.
- 5:11And at the beginning of Lent is 40 days before Easter, and
- 5:13Easter is when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- 5:16And these 40 days starts with Ash Wednesday, which is when we
- 5:20are signed with. And many Catholics especially
- 5:22observe this and Orthodox, but some evangelicals as well, when
- 5:25we are signed with the sign of the cross in ashes on our
- 5:28forehead to remind us that we are from dust and to dust we
- 5:32will return. So I think it's a particularly
- 5:36Lenti Lent or fitting time. I mean, if the global pandemic
- 5:40is going to strike the world and make us all wonder about death
- 5:43and be confronted with their own mortality and in some ways their
- 5:46own helplessness, what better time than Lent?
- 5:49I mean, that's really the season of Lent.
- 5:51And it's also a time for conversion, for repentance, for
- 5:54renewal, and for prayer as we prepare for again Easter, which
- 5:59is when Christ is resurrected from the dead after offering his
- 6:02life for all humankind because of the sin of mankind.
- 6:07So that's this context that I found particularly striking.
- 6:10I've been thinking about that and praying about that a lot.
- 6:12But the six things that I think in that context, I, I think
- 6:16would be really valuable for us is, first of all, there is a
- 6:20barrage right now of media, social media, news reports.
- 6:24I mean, we're hearing about every death, every update.
- 6:26There's a constant political fighting happening.
- 6:29There's concerns about the economy, of course, concerns
- 6:31about the spread of the disease. Number one, I think it's so key
- 6:35that we keep our curiosity in check because yes, it's
- 6:38important to be aware of what's happening.
- 6:40But constantly consuming the news, constantly looking at our
- 6:43social media feeds, constantly reviewing things that we cannot
- 6:46control, that we do not have direct ability to change, that
- 6:51does not help us be at peace. It does not help us be present
- 6:54to our day and what we're responsible for today.
- 6:56And I get it. A lot of us right now are
- 6:58struggling. I mean, people out of jobs,
- 7:00people at home, people not having to homeschool their kids,
- 7:04struggling and fearful, but constantly consuming media,
- 7:08constantly looking at the headlines is not going to bring
- 7:11us peace. It's going to bring us anxiety.
- 7:13I mean, there are people dying everyday, not just from COVID,
- 7:16but people driving from car accidents, people dying from
- 7:19natural causes, people dying from cancer.
- 7:21If we read a headline about every time somebody died, we
- 7:24would be overwhelmed. It we, we, we, we're not made to
- 7:26be able to take in that kind of information.
- 7:28We're only made to be able to deal with what's in front of us
- 7:31today. And of course, to be to be a
- 7:34good citizen aware of what's happening, but to constantly be
- 7:37studying it is overwhelming. So I think our anxiety will have
- 7:40a direct correlation to how much we are consuming news media and
- 7:43how much we're considering social media.
- 7:45So I think keeping our curiosity in check, turning it off and
- 7:48going about our day, I think is crucial for the next coming
- 7:51weeks or months for however long this lasts.
- 7:54And we will get through this. This is not going to last
- 7:56forever. There will be a time we can all
- 7:58look back on this period of time and we will wonder, you know,
- 8:00did we were we present to our days?
- 8:02Were we just not on our anxiety and the sense of chaos to take
- 8:06over our minds and our time? Or were we making the best of
- 8:09this time? So #1 keep our curiosity in
- 8:11check #2A lot of us are sheltering in place or even
- 8:15quarantining and many of us are with our families right now.
- 8:19And you know, that is really special time because we might,
- 8:24this might be a time where because we're not allowed to go
- 8:27out, largely speaking, we don't have the distractions or the
- 8:29busyness of our typical schedule.
- 8:31We have all this time with physically with our, our family
- 8:34or with our loved ones. And even if we don't have that
- 8:36time, we are here sitting in our apartments or our homes and we
- 8:40can FaceTime them or we can reach out to them.
- 8:42And I, I often think, you know, what, if this was my last day on
- 8:46earth, what if I don't, I won't have tomorrow because guess
- 8:49what? I'm not promised tomorrow.
- 8:50You're not promised tomorrow. We might not be here tomorrow.
- 8:53We don't have control over that. And what am I going to do with
- 8:57today then? Am I going to use today to love
- 9:01the people placed in my life and to serve them and to really be
- 9:05present with them, look them in the eyes, ask them how they're
- 9:08doing, do something fun with them, enjoy them, appreciate
- 9:12them. I know it can be frustrating,
- 9:14especially if we've got issues in our family or if we're
- 9:16stressed or if we're distracted. And I've certainly been
- 9:19distracted the last few weeks. I mean, I have a tremendous
- 9:21amount of work to do. I mean, all of us are feeling
- 9:23that. But I have this newborn baby, my
- 9:253 month old, and I just look at him and I look into his eyes and
- 9:28I think, wow, you are the most important part of my day.
- 9:31You are my number one priority. And I hope that I can treat you
- 9:34that way with that intention and with that love.
- 9:37One of the things my husband and I really love doing in the last
- 9:39few days as we've been stuck at home is having FaceTime time
- 9:44with our families, so extended families.
- 9:46So we've been doing dinners where we actually set up our
- 9:48phone and we have a family dinner.
- 9:50And we just had dinner with my brother and sister-in-law the
- 9:53other night where we both were eating while we were Facetiming
- 9:55and we had a great conversation. Over the weekend, we did brunch
- 9:59with my extended family. So we had all my brothers and
- 10:01sisters and their families on Zoom and we all had brunch
- 10:04together. Doing being, being creative and
- 10:06doing things like that can be really beautiful to have really
- 10:09meaningful time with your loved ones or with friends.
- 10:12A third thing that's been really helpful for me, and I think it
- 10:15is crucial, especially when there's a sense of chaos and
- 10:18anxiety and, and all kinds of things outside of our control
- 10:21going on. The third thing is to keep a
- 10:23good schedule, to have a schedule, a sense of order for
- 10:27your day. This can be as simple as three
- 10:29things that you want to do that day.
- 10:30You know, you plan for it the night before.
- 10:32There are three things I want to do tomorrow and you set a time
- 10:34for each one. It can be very simple and maybe
- 10:37because of kids, you know, I know with my son, if he's
- 10:38skipping a nap right now, he's napping.
- 10:40But if he doesn't, I want to have his nap then.
- 10:42Yeah, that thing that I was planning to do during his nap, I
- 10:44wasn't able to do today. But having that sense of order
- 10:47and saying, OK, today I'm going to stick to this plan of life.
- 10:50I'm going to have this sense of order for my day.
- 10:52I'm going to have. This schedule is really powerful
- 10:55because it makes us be aware of our precious time and how we're
- 10:57using it. And it gives us a sense of a
- 10:59control over the things that we can control and the
- 11:01responsibilities that we do have, which is the present day,
- 11:04what's on our plate. So keeping that order.
- 11:07The fourth thing that has been really, I think useful for me
- 11:11and my husband and I think is really important for all of us
- 11:13right now. And I, I see this happening and
- 11:15I love it. It's so inspiring to see this
- 11:18already happening, which is to ask ourselves to stop and think,
- 11:21OK, how can I serve other people right now?
- 11:24What can I do to love other people right now?
- 11:28Maybe if you have the means, if you have the resources, you can
- 11:32send some money to somebody that who might be hurting because of
- 11:34the economic, effectively economic shutdown.
- 11:38Maybe somebody that you know, you can send them $50.00 or $100
- 11:41because you know they're not able to work for the next few
- 11:42weeks or maybe they even lost their job.
- 11:44Maybe you can write that letter that you haven't written yet to
- 11:47a friend or a thank you card that you haven't written yet to
- 11:49a friend or a loved one. Maybe you can call your grandma
- 11:52and ask her how she's doing. Maybe you can do something
- 11:55around the house that your spouse wanted you to do or a
- 11:57roommate that you haven't done, but do something really
- 11:59intentional that really will make them happy.
- 12:02Maybe, you know, my husband's really neat and really orderly.
- 12:05So for him, him like when I take time to organize the bookshelf
- 12:08or whatever it is, that means a lot those little things.
- 12:11So asking ourselves, how can we serve?
- 12:13How can we help? Maybe we're in the position
- 12:15where we can serve and help a lot more because we are an
- 12:17employer. And so maybe we can find a way
- 12:19to make sure that our staff knows that they're taken care of
- 12:23and we can find ways to financially support others.
- 12:25I mean, there's lots of things we can do, but you know, one
- 12:28thing too as far as donating, you can go into your Venmo
- 12:30history and see who you last Venmoed.
- 12:32And if you have the means, you can Venmo surprise gifts to
- 12:36people that you think might be struggling because their jobs
- 12:39might be on the line right now because of the the closure of
- 12:41businesses. So those are just ideas, but
- 12:43it's really amazing how when we change the focus from our own
- 12:48interior fears and concerns, you know, that focus on ourself and
- 12:51focus instead on somebody else, it can transform our days.
- 12:55It can transform our outlook because we were, we were made to
- 12:58love, we were made to give to others.
- 13:00And when we actually practice that in concrete ways, even if
- 13:03we're not feeling it, it really can transform our day.
- 13:07So focusing on other people, asking yourself, how can we
- 13:10serve and, and taking the time to think about it creatively.
- 13:13It might take a minute like, OK, who can I actually help?
- 13:15What's a tangible way I can help somebody?
- 13:17And then following through on that, the fifth thing, which I
- 13:23think is really important, is to use this time.
- 13:27Again, a lot of us have this time on our hands.
- 13:29It's very unusual. We're sheltering in place, we're
- 13:32social distancing, we're at home.
- 13:33Many of us aren't working. Or if we are working, our
- 13:36working has changed dramatically because we're at home to use
- 13:41this time to get creative instead of consuming media,
- 13:46instead of consuming a ton of entertainment.
- 13:48And I'm not saying don't watch any media.
- 13:51I'm not saying don't watch Netflix.
- 13:52I'm not saying that's a bad thing.
- 13:54Some of it can be good and even inspiring, like a good movie or
- 13:58whatever. But instead of just consuming a
- 14:00lot. And I think there's a temptation
- 14:01right now to kind of binge on stuff because of again, our
- 14:04disruption to our lives, the uncertainty around us.
- 14:07Instead of binge watching Netflix shows or binge eating
- 14:09whatever's in your cupboard after your long line in the
- 14:12grocery store to try to get for the week, create.
- 14:16Do something creative. Do you like to draw?
- 14:19Maybe you like to draw a long time ago or paint and you
- 14:23haven't done it in years. Pull that paintbrush out.
- 14:26Pull that sketchbook out. Maybe you like to write poetry.
- 14:30I like to write poetry. I haven't written poetry in a
- 14:31very long time. And the other day I was like,
- 14:33I'm just going to write a little poem for myself.
- 14:34Even though it's kind of silly, I'm just going to do it.
- 14:36Maybe you like to read and you like to read poetry or
- 14:39literature or history. Maybe you like music and you
- 14:42like to play piano or sing or record songs or play guitar.
- 14:47Maybe you like to just enjoy nature.
- 14:49Nature's not out of limits. Maybe you can just go and enjoy
- 14:51nature and and sit in the beauty of the the natural world if you
- 14:55have access to that. I mean, there's a lot of
- 14:57different ways that we can be creative.
- 14:58Maybe you're a designer, maybe you like to cook, maybe you like
- 15:01crafts, but take this time to just let yourself create without
- 15:06an expectation on the creation. Meaning you're not creating for
- 15:09it to then be a product that you sell or showing up for your boss
- 15:14or you know, making it somehow be productive in the world, but
- 15:18it's just out of the pure beauty of your creative soul and
- 15:22wanting to make something fun and beautiful for yourself.
- 15:25And maybe you could do it with family.
- 15:26Maybe you do it with your kids. We can do it with your spouse.
- 15:28We can do it with a friend. Do something creative with a
- 15:30friend. So don't just consume, take time
- 15:33to create. Time is a huge blessing.
- 15:35And we were made to create. I mean, I believe God our
- 15:38creator created us in his image as creators ourselves and that
- 15:43were made to Co create with God by being by utilizing that
- 15:47creative spirit that we've been given.
- 15:49The last thing, and I've talked about this before on other
- 15:52podcasts and I talk about it on social media at Fairmount, but
- 15:55this is something that has changed my life dramatically
- 15:59over the past 10 plus years. And I can't stress enough how
- 16:03important it is. But then also and how simple it
- 16:06is, but then also how difficult it can be.
- 16:09And what this is is prayer and prayer meaning setting a timer,
- 16:14literally setting aside a chunk of time and taking that time to
- 16:18say, I'm going to pray. And you might think, OK, sounds
- 16:22nice, but what is what is? What do you mean by prayer?
- 16:24I mean that can mean a lot of things to a lot of people.
- 16:27I think the most direct, simplest definition is prayer is
- 16:31conversation with God and rawness realness with God.
- 16:35So sitting down and actually telling him completely what
- 16:40where we're at, what we're thinking, who, what's inside of
- 16:43us. It's also discovering who God
- 16:46is. I mean, God, I believe is
- 16:48perfect love. He is the author and creator of
- 16:51all life. He loves us, he saves us.
- 16:53And to spend time to thank him, to spend time to meditate on how
- 16:57good he is. Think about these
- 16:59transcendentals like goodness, truth and beauty, which are what
- 17:03who God. God is made-up of all these
- 17:05things. We, we pick up these ideas, but
- 17:07really that's a person, that's God.
- 17:09So marvel at that perfection that God is and that love that
- 17:12God is to ask him for help. If we're feeling stressed, ask
- 17:17him for relief, ask him for support.
- 17:20If there's something we need, ask him for it.
- 17:22To say that we're sorry. I mean, we screw up every day.
- 17:25I screw up every single day. I mean, I won't speak for you.
- 17:27I know I do. And telling God I'm sorry, you
- 17:30know, explaining this is what I, this is where I'm at.
- 17:33I'm sorry for, for my shortcomings and asking him for
- 17:36help to do better. It can be very simple like a
- 17:39child, I mean think about what your child or think about when
- 17:42you were a child or if you have a niece or nephew, like how
- 17:45simple children are when they communicate.
- 17:47That's how we are meant to be with God.
- 17:49Just be be real and and true to what is in our hearts and
- 17:53trusting of him. I mean, I think a part of prayer
- 17:55too is trust. Trust that he hears us, trust
- 17:58that he loves us. Trust that he has the power to
- 18:01forgive and to heal us. So taking that time to pray can
- 18:04be as simple as setting a timer can be simple as setting a timer
- 18:07for 10 minutes and saying I'm going to do these 10 minutes.
- 18:10Sometimes it's really helpful to have a spiritual book with our
- 18:14prayer or for me, Bible. I'm again, I'm a Catholic
- 18:16Christian. So reading the Bible, reading a
- 18:19spiritual book, one that I really love.
- 18:22A friend of mine gave it to me recently.
- 18:24Shout out to Christine is a book on spiritual discernment,
- 18:27Discernment of the spirits by Dan Burke.
- 18:30And you can actually pray for Dan because he is right now in
- 18:34ICU because of Corona, because of COVID, coronavirus, COVID-19.
- 18:40So pray for him. But that's a wonderful book.
- 18:41I will be sharing more book ideas and resources in the
- 18:45description of this podcast and on social media of books that we
- 18:49can read, spiritual books or just other books that might be
- 18:51useful or resources. But taking time to pray everyday
- 18:55is incredibly powerful. It's changed my life.
- 18:58And there will be 1000 reasons why not to pray.
- 19:02And This is why I believe, I, I, I know that Satan is real, evil
- 19:07exists. Satan is real, just like God is
- 19:09real and wants to do anything he can to keep us going in the
- 19:12frenzy of our own thoughts, in our own emotional realities and
- 19:17complexities, in our own fears or our own kind of drive to
- 19:22achieve things as opposed to stopping and taking time for
- 19:25prayer. There will always be something
- 19:28else to do. It's funny, sometimes when I sit
- 19:30down to do my prayer, it's like, OK, now I'm hungry, I want to go
- 19:32eat something or now I have to send that one more e-mail or
- 19:34respond to that one more text. And it's like, no, just stop.
- 19:37Take the time to pray. It can be so difficult.
- 19:40It can your whole day can go by and you're like, wow, when did I
- 19:42pray? Did I pray at all?
- 19:43And I think it's a crucial with prayer, just like with any
- 19:46relationship to actually stop and do the prayer instead of
- 19:48being like, well, I just kind of prayed in my mind as I went
- 19:50about my day. Well, that's good too.
- 19:52But taking that time to stop and pray.
- 19:55So take time to pray. I mean, again, we should have a
- 19:57lot of time for right now we are in our homes and yes, I know
- 20:00many of us are juggling a ton of stuff, but taking that time
- 20:04right now, I think will be, it always is so important, but it
- 20:08will be very especially poor and powerful and important now.
- 20:11So those are the six things that I thought would be really
- 20:14helpful as we take a step back and look at this time.
- 20:19You know, a lot of people are scared and hurting, but I think
- 20:22that we can choose to experience this time, this calamity as
- 20:27either a blessing or as a curse. Is it a blessing in our personal
- 20:31lives, in the way that we respond to it?
- 20:33And we choose to do some of these six things.
- 20:35We choose to grow ourselves and love the people around us.
- 20:39Or is it a curse because of the frustration and the anxiety that
- 20:44we are allowing Or we have filling up our hearts and our
- 20:48souls? And I think we can experience it
- 20:50as a blessing. I'm not trying to whitewash
- 20:53this. I'm not trying to say it's easy.
- 20:55I'm not trying to not acknowledge that a lot of people
- 20:58are really struggling right now and there's a lot of fear and
- 21:01there's real stuff that's happening that's really hard.
- 21:03I mean, literally people losing jobs.
- 21:05I know somebody who recently a couple people who've lost jobs,
- 21:09people who are sick of people maybe who have even died.
- 21:11I mean, this is extremely serious, but as a Christian, I
- 21:15believe that, as Romans 828 says, God works all things for
- 21:20the good of those that love him. That doesn't mean that evil
- 21:23isn't evil, sickness isn't sickness, death isn't death.
- 21:27But it means that God has the power to use all those dark
- 21:30things for good. And that too is the story of
- 21:34Lent unto Easter, that God uses even the mortality, even the
- 21:41fact that to dust we are, and to dust, dust from dust we came
- 21:44into, dust we will return. That He will ultimately use that
- 21:48to invite us into His resurrection so that we may have
- 21:51eternal life, That there's more beyond death because of God's
- 21:54love and God's saving power. In upcoming episodes, I'm going
- 21:58to try to do this weekly. A few topics I'm going to cover.
- 22:01I just wanted to let you guys know, especially if you have
- 22:03ideas for me, of things you want me to make sure I talk about
- 22:06with these topics. And you can contact me at
- 22:09thoughts@lilaroshow.com or via Instagram.
- 22:12I try to respond. There's a lot of messages I
- 22:14sometimes am not able to get to, but I try to read most of them
- 22:17if not all of them. The topics I'm going to get into
- 22:21are my birth story. I know a lot of women right now
- 22:24who are expecting babies and this is kind of a crazy easy
- 22:27time to be having a baby. I get that and it can be
- 22:29overwhelming. But they're all champs and I
- 22:33wanna share some of the things that helped me during my labor
- 22:35and delivery process that I hope are helpful.
- 22:37As well as my birth story. I am also going to be doing an
- 22:41episode on homeschooling because I was homeschooled, some of you
- 22:45might know that, and I am one of eight kids and all my siblings
- 22:49were homeschooled. So my mom is basically and my
- 22:51dad are experts. And also my husband is also one
- 22:54of eight kids and he was also homeschooled.
- 22:57And so both of them I'm hoping to interview on the podcast and
- 23:02then I'm also planning to do an episode on financial well-being
- 23:05and what to do if you lose your job or lose income.
- 23:07Interview an expert about that, about what we can do to be
- 23:10smarter financially or to deal with really tough challenges
- 23:12financially. And I think I hear a baby.
- 23:16That was great timing 'cause I'm wrapping up.
- 23:17He's waking up from his nap, so I'm gonna go get him.
- 23:20But thank you all so much for tuning in.
- 23:22I'm really excited about this season.
- 23:23I'm looking forward to getting into a legit studio in the
- 23:26future and having legit guests in studio.
- 23:27But for now, we'll do it long distance remotely.
- 23:29Well, we're social distancing from home.
- 23:31Have a wonderful rest of your day.
- 23:32God bless. And we'll talk to you soon.
- 23:35Oh, and don't forget, you can always review the podcast and
- 23:38rate it. Give it five stars on iTunes and
- 23:40share it because that will help the podcast reach more people.
- 23:42Thanks so much guys.
