- 0:00Speaker 1: The Threat is a new hit podcast from Azzi Media
- 0:03Speaker 1: that explores history surprising connections in order to discover how
- 0:06Speaker 1: one thing leads to another, like how movie moguls in
- 0:09Speaker 1: early Hollywood helps spark the me too movement Today, Get
- 0:13Speaker 1: it on I Heart Radio or wherever you listen join
- 1:06Speaker 1: be you go with me? Say you gotta turn? Yeah?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Do you you gotta turn? Won't the townho turns? Do
- 1:57Speaker 1: you love? You got to turn out? Come? Come on?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Uh huh? I show well, good morning everybody you are
- 2:20Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on, dig me now, want
- 2:23Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show? Man oh man,
- 2:27Speaker 1: oh man? How good is God to me? And part
- 2:31Speaker 1: of the mission and the reason that I have a
- 2:33Speaker 1: radio show is to is to become a share of
- 2:37Speaker 1: more and more of a shaff you know. Um. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: used to hear my mother say it to me all
- 2:42Speaker 1: the time. But God blesses you to become a blessing.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And I think the more you understand that about yourself,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I think the more blessings will flow your way. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: think that once you understand the principle that you know it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures
- 2:59Speaker 1: and I'm too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but I do know what I've heard. You know, and
- 3:07Speaker 1: you know, if you look at something simple as do
- 3:09Speaker 1: unto others as you would have them do unto you,
- 3:13Speaker 1: wouldn't you want somebody to help you if you needed help?
- 3:16Speaker 1: I mean, look, I'm I don't know how to wind
- 3:20Speaker 1: it down into some intellectual lecture. I just know how
- 3:24Speaker 1: to get it down there to where I've been able
- 3:27Speaker 1: to understand it. If if if there's a scripture similar
- 3:31Speaker 1: that it says do unto others as you would have
- 3:34Speaker 1: them do unto you, or if that's you know, in
- 3:39Speaker 1: a prayer, would not you want somebody to help you
- 3:43Speaker 1: if you needed help? You've heard you reap what you so?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Do you understand that if you so discord, that discord
- 3:55Speaker 1: is gonna come your way. That if you hate, hate
- 3:59Speaker 1: gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but negative
- 4:03Speaker 1: comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 4:08Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 4:10Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 4:13Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 4:18Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the trials
- 4:22Speaker 1: and tribulations, that I've had is to take those lessons
- 4:27Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:29Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes, and the reason it
- 4:33Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times is what I am
- 4:37Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:40Speaker 1: to say the same thing. Because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:44Speaker 1: You got to hear it a certain way forward to
- 4:46Speaker 1: click with you. How many times have I heard a
- 4:52Speaker 1: saying and then I heard it a different way that
- 4:56Speaker 1: it clicked with me. You know, I've heard of this
- 5:01Speaker 1: saying right here, remember this now, everybody is not happy
- 5:05Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, Everybody is not
- 5:08Speaker 1: happy for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't
- 5:12Speaker 1: need no explanation. That simply means of all the people
- 5:16Speaker 1: you know or do not know, when something happens to
- 5:20Speaker 1: you and you celebrating it, everybody's not gonna join in
- 5:23Speaker 1: on the celebration. That's all that is. But then you
- 5:28Speaker 1: take it one step further. My father used to say
- 5:30Speaker 1: something to me all the time. He says, son, everybody
- 5:32Speaker 1: comes with you can't go with you. I didn't get
- 5:35Speaker 1: that when I was fifteen. Everybody comes with you can't
- 5:37Speaker 1: go with you. He said, you're gonna lose some of
- 5:40Speaker 1: these friends you got along the way. You know, just
- 5:43Speaker 1: that the space time, you're gonna grow in different directions.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You know you're gonna do something ain't into. They're gonna
- 5:49Speaker 1: do something you ain't into. They're gonna want you to
- 5:51Speaker 1: go here. You ain't gonna make it. They're gonna disappoint you.
- 5:53Speaker 1: You're gonna disappoint him. He ain't never lied. But I
- 5:56Speaker 1: don't care where you get in life, how old you get,
- 6:00Speaker 1: how far you go, who you think you are, what
- 6:04Speaker 1: you make, what you say, what you claim to be. No,
- 6:07Speaker 1: this right here, everybody can't go with you. If you
- 6:10Speaker 1: are constantly trying to improve yourself, you constantly have to
- 6:13Speaker 1: take assessment of the people around you. Because if you're
- 6:18Speaker 1: going to continue to go and continue to grow, then
- 6:21Speaker 1: guess what. You got to have people that's on the
- 6:23Speaker 1: goal and willing to grow. If you've got people in
- 6:27Speaker 1: your life that are not on on the goal or
- 6:29Speaker 1: willing to grow, how can they help you go or grow?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Do that makes sense? So you have to constantly make
- 6:36Speaker 1: assessment of the people around you, or else guess what
- 6:42Speaker 1: you're gonna learn? The valuable lesson. You know, the late
- 6:45Speaker 1: boxing promoter Butch Lewis. I was talking with butch Lewis
- 6:49Speaker 1: one time, and uh, man with a good brother man.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'm talking about man with a good brother man Jesus.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And I was talking with him and he shared with
- 6:59Speaker 1: me a lesson that I had never thought of before.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And he told me this. Let me say this clock.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I don't know on the time I got. I don't
- 7:07Speaker 1: want Yeah, I got that. Butch Lewis told me this
- 7:10Speaker 1: one time. He said, every successful man, it's doing what
- 7:15Speaker 1: I call he got rope work to do. He got
- 7:18Speaker 1: rope work to do. He got to put in work
- 7:21Speaker 1: on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to butch Lewis
- 7:25Speaker 1: and all the money he had made in all the
- 7:27Speaker 1: people's lives he had changed, and all of the moves
- 7:29Speaker 1: he was made, and his an incredible skills as a
- 7:32Speaker 1: negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people. He
- 7:35Speaker 1: was just an amazing man with no education. But he
- 7:39Speaker 1: read everything. He butch Lewis read all that, all the papers,
- 7:43Speaker 1: all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said, you
- 7:47Speaker 1: got to put it in rope. And I was sitting
- 7:49Speaker 1: there listening he said, he is the analogy, little brother.
- 7:52Speaker 1: He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
- 8:04Speaker 1: just below the knee and they tat it. You got
- 8:07Speaker 1: dirt on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge
- 8:11Speaker 1: raw rope over your shoulder. There's burn marks on all
- 8:15Speaker 1: of your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon.
- 8:19Speaker 1: That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 8:24Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 8:29Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your your co workers, your friends.
- 8:34Speaker 1: They all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there.
- 8:38Speaker 1: He's saying, what you gotta do is you gotta pull
- 8:40Speaker 1: that wagon up the heel. Now, only thing with it is,
- 8:43Speaker 1: can't nobody help you pull your wagon. You pull your
- 8:47Speaker 1: wagon alone. He said. Now, what you can do along
- 8:51Speaker 1: the way of pulling your wagon is you can find
- 8:53Speaker 1: yourself a good wife, a good woman. He's saying that
- 8:56Speaker 1: what that woman does is she get down off the wagon.
- 9:00Speaker 1: She fan you while you pull it. She put water
- 9:02Speaker 1: on you while you pull it. She put stuff in
- 9:05Speaker 1: your mouth while you pull it. She kicked rocks out
- 9:07Speaker 1: the way while you pull it. But she but she
- 9:10Speaker 1: pull it for you. But she is equally as important
- 9:13Speaker 1: as you are on the pull of the rope. He said,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you hear me clearly, now, young soldier, he said, now
- 9:18Speaker 1: I got this here. He says, it's people on your
- 9:21Speaker 1: wagon that you're responsible for. But you want the people
- 9:25Speaker 1: on your wagon to help you get your wagon to
- 9:28Speaker 1: the top. So what you hope is that they got
- 9:30Speaker 1: their foot hanging over the side pushing, They got one
- 9:34Speaker 1: leg over the back, or maybe both legs over the
- 9:37Speaker 1: back pushing. They got they might have their butt on
- 9:39Speaker 1: the wagon, but they push you with both legs. They're
- 9:42Speaker 1: back facing your back, maybe some of them facing you
- 9:45Speaker 1: with one of them got left leg hanging over trying
- 9:47Speaker 1: to push. And you hope that all the people on
- 9:50Speaker 1: the wagon you pull it is back there at least
- 9:53Speaker 1: trying to help the wagon get to the top of
- 9:55Speaker 1: the hill. Here goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing,
- 9:59Speaker 1: Everybody ain't puck it, ain't bear, body ain't pull it.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Everybody ain't kicking rocks out the way. You got some
- 10:05Speaker 1: people on your wagon that's just laying on the wagon
- 10:08Speaker 1: drinking lemonade, looking at you talking about how long it's
- 10:12Speaker 1: taking you to get your wagon up to the top,
- 10:15Speaker 1: looking at you talking about whitest wagon is so slow.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Then when you start picking up picking up speed, they
- 10:21Speaker 1: want you to pull harder, you to pull faster, you
- 10:24Speaker 1: to pull more. Then they want you to throw what
- 10:26Speaker 1: you then earned on the way up the hill backed
- 10:29Speaker 1: on the wagon so they can have more. But guess what,
- 10:31Speaker 1: they ain't helping you get more, but they got a
- 10:33Speaker 1: sense of entitlement that since you got more, they should
- 10:37Speaker 1: have more. Everybody come with you can't go with you.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta kick the people off the wagon that
- 10:44Speaker 1: ain't pushing and pull it and say, hey, man, I'm sorry.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I thought I could do this with you, and I
- 10:49Speaker 1: thought you was going with me. But it's clear to
- 10:51Speaker 1: me you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't
- 10:54Speaker 1: my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried
- 10:57Speaker 1: you as long as I have to carry you. You
- 11:00Speaker 1: are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family,
- 11:04Speaker 1: my wife, my children. I'm not responsible for you. You
- 11:07Speaker 1: got to get off my wagon because I'm a man
- 11:09Speaker 1: on rope. I'm on a mission, baby, I'm pulling. You're
- 11:12Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ladies and gentlemen, boards and girls, man,
- 11:18Speaker 1: have your attention please, Steve Harvey Martin Show is underway.

- 11:27Speaker 1: the fabulous calling for el. Good morning Steve. What's up crew?
- 11:31Speaker 1: This little bitty food June with his happy saying ay
- 11:37Speaker 1: every day, we got to see if he all right
- 11:39Speaker 1: to day balancing, put him together, get him up out
- 11:43Speaker 1: the ditch, pick him up over the float cars, down
- 11:46Speaker 1: to the high through the Christis, get him to Ja
- 11:50Speaker 1: not here. A lot of work and getting on that
- 11:53Speaker 1: last nerve, but he healed. King of pranks, the food
- 11:58Speaker 1: nephew term me yes up top top nobody good? Yeah, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: my favorite question? What the president did do? Now? What? Man? Steve?
- 12:11Speaker 1: This country? Whoa We're an all time low to me?
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah we are, yeah, yeah, we're just it's like the
- 12:19Speaker 1: I don't know, it's just you're right a divide. It's
- 12:23Speaker 1: almost like evil against good or something. Yeah, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: it's almost like that, like you know, this is a
- 12:29Speaker 1: movie or something we have never had a president more
- 12:34Speaker 1: divisive than it him and him and Jimmy fallon at it. Yea,
- 12:38Speaker 1: how do you think you can possibly say more clever
- 12:42Speaker 1: stuff than this manna comic? Why though you're the president,
- 12:47Speaker 1: don't you have some work to do? And which which
- 12:51Speaker 1: says it all takes up the time for the most
- 12:54Speaker 1: mundane stuff, and then don't mention the most critical Petty Betty,
- 12:59Speaker 1: come over here, something about these kids and wedn't get
- 13:01Speaker 1: them back with their families. Come over and say something.
- 13:04Speaker 1: But then the Supreme Court them racists up there that
- 13:07Speaker 1: uplifted his third version of the travel band, which is
- 13:12Speaker 1: now like it's upholding it and it and it kind
- 13:18Speaker 1: of sucks in the White House is claiming the victory.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So all your victories have a negative connotation. So you're saying,
- 13:26Speaker 1: we weren't separated these kids at the border with determ
- 13:29Speaker 1: people from coming to our country, Boom, Not I'm fixing
- 13:32Speaker 1: where these seven countries Kate brain, these and these people
- 13:35Speaker 1: in here, that's Muslim Boom. Who are we all Muslims
- 13:42Speaker 1: together as terrorists? And that's not what they are. Look,
- 13:48Speaker 1: Islam is a beautiful religion. Who am I to tell
- 13:52Speaker 1: another person that their faith and belief ain't right or
- 13:56Speaker 1: ain't good and after us our people as a race
- 13:59Speaker 1: that have been and persecute it for so long. Here
- 14:02Speaker 1: we are having to speak up for someone else because
- 14:04Speaker 1: we know how it feels. We know what they're going through.
- 14:07Speaker 1: We've been there and are still going through it. You
- 14:10Speaker 1: know about these kids, It's like the Republicans said, those
- 14:13Speaker 1: are not our kids. Hole, you can't You can't even
- 14:20Speaker 1: understand because you've never been in that position. You can
- 14:24Speaker 1: stop expecting President Trump to understand because he's never been
- 14:27Speaker 1: in a position. What made Obama great worlds Obama came
- 14:31Speaker 1: from those conditions. He was a street fighter, man of
- 14:35Speaker 1: the people, so it was easy to become Donald Trump
- 14:39Speaker 1: is just who he always been. Stopped the surprise. All right,
- 14:45Speaker 1: coming up, Steve, we're gonna talk about the worst barbecue
- 14:48Speaker 1: meal you had at someone's house or family reunion or
- 14:51Speaker 1: something like that. We've got something funny barbecue stories coming
- 14:56Speaker 1: up for you this you're listening Steve Barbue Morning Show.
- 15:02Speaker 1: All right, Steve, Fourth of July right around the corner,
- 15:05Speaker 1: the biggest summer holiday of the year, I guess you
- 15:08Speaker 1: can say so. I wanted to ask the guys, what's
- 15:11Speaker 1: the worst. I mean, the absolute worst barbecue experience you've
- 15:15Speaker 1: ever had, whether it be at a barbecue, family reunion,
- 15:18Speaker 1: some sort of celebration. I don't have a worst. I
- 15:22Speaker 1: have a series of things. You want to go, Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I got We all got down to I'll go down.
- 15:32Speaker 1: This is real quick. Though. My boy called me up.
- 15:35Speaker 1: He said, hey, man, we're going over to this barbecue.
- 15:37Speaker 1: My boy, barbecue man is off the chain. I get
- 15:40Speaker 1: over there to his house where he took that lead off,
- 15:44Speaker 1: that old smoking Weena's and Hamburger pants. There was no
- 15:48Speaker 1: barbecue barbecue. Now it's bread buzz over there. I'm a
- 15:55Speaker 1: grown ass man. Though I didn't eat all day. It's
- 15:59Speaker 1: two clock. I came on here to eat Bobby Kill,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but he only got the spatula pushing the meat dowth
- 16:05Speaker 1: like he doing something. I was gonna kid, that's right here, man.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I was so there disappointed. So I go home with
- 16:18Speaker 1: a fraternity bro. This is I'm in college, pray brother
- 16:21Speaker 1: for the Fourth of July. They're cooking out everything smell good,
- 16:25Speaker 1: look good. I'm like cool. He loaded my plate up.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I got you straight tea. Here you go, man, I'm
- 16:31Speaker 1: eating and I'm eating, and then his uncle come over
- 16:36Speaker 1: and say, how you like that cool? I said what
- 16:40Speaker 1: I said? I smoked that cool all night last man,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I put my frat brothers raccoon. Yes, but Tommy, it
- 16:56Speaker 1: didn't look different. You know what it has sauce on it?
- 17:03Speaker 1: Always question? That's for real to wonder what said? I
- 17:16Speaker 1: had a fight right there. If I don't know what
- 17:19Speaker 1: it is, I'm not eating it. They get famous for
- 17:24Speaker 1: Bobby Q. Just ain't in a state, ain't rendezvous commissary.
- 17:30Speaker 1: This ain't gates, This ain't this, ain't blood souls, this
- 17:34Speaker 1: ain't whit molds? Why what where we come from? Man?
- 17:41Speaker 1: How did it taste? Tommy? Though? You ain't you know
- 17:43Speaker 1: what it has on my sauce on? I kept eating.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I was like, this ain't that bad. But the fact
- 17:50Speaker 1: that he didn't tell me that just made me hot.
- 17:53Speaker 1: All right, here here we go. I want to just
- 17:56Speaker 1: go on and talk about the wonder words. Bob Q.
- 17:59Speaker 1: We've been at and I have a series on routine.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Will forever call her that is that she hated did
- 18:08Speaker 1: night for her to hate me? But right, I'm not
- 18:14Speaker 1: Michelle Obama. I ever made it a lot of my
- 18:23Speaker 1: jokes was gonna give out here? Okay, Well, can I
- 18:26Speaker 1: start with why did she hate you as a little boy?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Because I studied and she would send me to the
- 18:32Speaker 1: store and I take too long, so she would give
- 18:35Speaker 1: anybody boys and nickel to go to stove for. She
- 18:38Speaker 1: would never give me the nipple because I ain't got
- 18:40Speaker 1: all day while you're little stupid ass down there trying
- 18:43Speaker 1: to get me the bread. You're fat, you pick? Why lose?
- 18:54Speaker 1: You need makeup acress right now? I used to couldn't
- 18:58Speaker 1: stay in home, So that's why can't standard all the time.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Even when I stopped studied. Well, I wonder when you're
- 19:04Speaker 1: gonna quit being stupid. I had speech impediment. I ain't stupid.
- 19:11Speaker 1: My cousin, Charles, he's stupid, Your damn son, he's stupid.
- 19:16Speaker 1: He had juvenile detention as we speak. How smart he's
- 19:20Speaker 1: as oh man, that's why you did like and she
- 19:26Speaker 1: didn't like even to that fact. When the family first
- 19:29Speaker 1: came to my first comedy club where they died, they're
- 19:32Speaker 1: doing line. So she just had no love for a
- 19:37Speaker 1: little bit. So this was she made. She prided herself
- 19:41Speaker 1: on her potata set. Let me tell you something that
- 19:46Speaker 1: everybody came making. First of all, this woman put it heavy,
- 19:51Speaker 1: heavy mustard. I've had it with a little mustard, twitter,
- 19:56Speaker 1: but heavy mustard, no damn mail. So you got litt
- 20:00Speaker 1: no damn mail, heavy mustard. Now you know how you
- 20:05Speaker 1: cut little cubes up in the potatoes the same size?
- 20:10Speaker 1: Did she sprinkle a whole bunch of celery seeds in it? Them?
- 20:13Speaker 1: A little bit of self? Now the celery chunks and
- 20:20Speaker 1: the potato chunks and the carrot chunks all the same size,
- 20:31Speaker 1: salary chunks in the potato selling, all this with celery
- 20:36Speaker 1: seeds on it, wrapped up in heavy, heavy ass muscles.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Mr Best, I call this my tanging potato selling. My
- 20:50Speaker 1: daddy couldn't dad y'all itself? Men tanging in enough? Why
- 21:00Speaker 1: don't you? Why don't you describe the flame? All this
- 21:05Speaker 1: sugar honey ice TV. She couldn't stay there and food.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Don't put that next to my boby cute And I'm
- 21:14Speaker 1: over here doing bill, Bill, make my potato salad for
- 21:19Speaker 1: my plate here, Mom, Bill, don't don't put sugar hunted.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I t over here. He didn't even want it next
- 21:26Speaker 1: to the inside on the stove. Ain't nobody going put
- 21:33Speaker 1: it out here without somebody get confused and think me
- 21:36Speaker 1: and my wife have made this all right. Listen, Uh,
- 21:42Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here because nephew, Tommy is
- 21:45Speaker 1: coming back with a run that prank that's right after
- 21:47Speaker 1: this run that prank back. You're listening coming up at
- 21:53Speaker 1: the top of the hour and Entertainment news, Cardie B
- 21:56Speaker 1: has confessed. Yes, she's secretly married off. It was last year.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Last year. I've been married for almost a year. Girl.
- 22:05Speaker 1: But come on, nephew, let's get to it. Run that

- 28:06Speaker 1: You ain't getting it from me. You're gonna get your
- 28:08Speaker 1: buzzon from me. I got one more thing I need
- 28:10Speaker 1: to say to you. What you're listening to me? I'm listen,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I can hear you. But this is Matthew Tommy from

- 28:55Speaker 1: I've been glad with somebody drank Yo. I'm gonna get that.

- 29:03Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, man, what is What is the
- 29:06Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land,

- 29:19Speaker 1: Somebody got to be the prankster. It's me. Chose myself,
- 29:22Speaker 1: all right, all right, let me put you on. So
- 29:24Speaker 1: on tap right here and a few time me with
- 29:26Speaker 1: blazers and bow ties. A night in the city. That's
- 29:28Speaker 1: in Houston, Texas. It's a party. Were celebrating women. Got
- 29:31Speaker 1: a lot of a k's come to town, so I
- 29:33Speaker 1: thought i'd throw my own. So it's Saturday, July seven
- 29:35Speaker 1: at the Health Museum Herman Drive. You do not want
- 29:40Speaker 1: to miss it. I got the lavish buffet, I got
- 29:42Speaker 1: the red carpet, I gotta live band, I got the DJ.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I got all that, and I got an open ball.
- 29:48Speaker 1: So what more do you want in the summer party?
- 29:52Speaker 1: What else? I need? This buffet, open ball, a mission?

- 30:03Speaker 1: teaket written there. That's the deal. That's the deal. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: beat there with my aunt. You're all right. Coming up
- 30:12Speaker 1: next in entertainment news, Cardie B confesses that she's secretly yes,
- 30:16Speaker 1: she's secretly married Offset and Steve is going to give
- 30:20Speaker 1: some marital advice. Okay, we definitely want to hear that.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Two young couples that's coming up right after this. You're
- 30:25Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, well, well
- 30:31Speaker 1: it looks like Cardi B and Offset did the dog
- 30:34Speaker 1: on thing. They did it in the old fashioned way,
- 30:36Speaker 1: after all love marriage and then the baby carriage. Okay,
- 30:41Speaker 1: apparently the two have been married for almost a year now.
- 30:45Speaker 1: The marriage certificate, Yeah yeah, the marriage certificate list the
- 30:52Speaker 1: date as the Yeah, it was doing me and the
- 30:58Speaker 1: all right, I just try to keep right. The marriage
- 31:09Speaker 1: certificate lists the wedding date as September twentie, two thousand seventeen. This,
- 31:15Speaker 1: according to an insider, Offset just woke up one day,
- 31:18Speaker 1: looked at Cardi and said, marry me. So instead of
- 31:21Speaker 1: announcing the news to their friends and family, they decided
- 31:24Speaker 1: to tie the knot right away and got married at
- 31:26Speaker 1: the house. For the record, yeah, Cardi B was not
- 31:29Speaker 1: married at the time. I mean she was not pregnant
- 31:31Speaker 1: at the time. This means that when Offset stage that
- 31:34Speaker 1: whole public engagement. Remember back in October, he and Cardi
- 31:37Speaker 1: B had already been married a month. Okay, Cardi actually
- 31:43Speaker 1: confirmed the news on yesterday. She kept it private because
- 31:46Speaker 1: she wanted that moment for herself and I understand that,
- 31:49Speaker 1: you know, because Papa Rozzi is all around them, so
- 31:52Speaker 1: they wanted something special for themselves. I love it, She says.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Our relationship was so new, we had a lot of
- 31:57Speaker 1: growing up to do, but we were so in love
- 32:00Speaker 1: we didn't want to lose each other, so that's why
- 32:03Speaker 1: they did it. Yet. Yeah, okay, so Steve, since you
- 32:08Speaker 1: said that, So there are a lot of young people
- 32:10Speaker 1: out here that are so in love and they don't
- 32:12Speaker 1: want to use each other what advice do you have
- 32:14Speaker 1: for for young people that want to get married. Well,
- 32:17Speaker 1: first of all, you should exercise patients because, especially when
- 32:24Speaker 1: you're young, because the decision you're making today may not
- 32:29Speaker 1: even be applicable to one year from now. What you
- 32:34Speaker 1: want today is going to change, and what you will
- 32:38Speaker 1: accept and who you are if you're young twenty years old,
- 32:44Speaker 1: in one year, all of those three things will be different.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Who you are will be different, what you won't will
- 32:51Speaker 1: be different, what you will accept will be different. All
- 32:56Speaker 1: of that changes over the year, I promise you it does.
- 32:59Speaker 1: So patient, if you all really love each other, then
- 33:02Speaker 1: it won't nothing happen to it marrying a person. And
- 33:06Speaker 1: this is not about Cardi B and Offset at all.
- 33:11Speaker 1: That's not that they did the thing. I'm I'm cool
- 33:13Speaker 1: with it. I'm just talking about in general. A pastor
- 33:17Speaker 1: told me something that's stuck with me. He said, when
- 33:20Speaker 1: you get married, the only thing that changes is the
- 33:22Speaker 1: appearance of your left hand third finger. So if you're
- 33:25Speaker 1: tripping before you get married, when you get married, that's
- 33:28Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. You're gonna be tripping. It changes nothing.
- 33:33Speaker 1: What it does is it's a tool that unifies people.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Under the eyes of God, with some vows between you.
- 33:43Speaker 1: That's it. If that's meant to be, it will be
- 33:47Speaker 1: that way this year or two years from now, And
- 33:51Speaker 1: so you might as well be patient and wait, because
- 33:53Speaker 1: if you get married at twenty or twenty four, tell
- 33:57Speaker 1: me what's the difference if you plan on be married
- 33:59Speaker 1: or to see your life? Are you trying to get
- 34:01Speaker 1: your six years in now? So you move on to
- 34:03Speaker 1: somethinghow that's a logical, experienced answer, you know. But when
- 34:09Speaker 1: you're young and in love, it's hard, you know, to
- 34:12Speaker 1: to follow those rules. I'm sure everybody's parents told you
- 34:15Speaker 1: have told their kids that and everything, but it's just
- 34:17Speaker 1: hard when you're young and have no experience and you're
- 34:20Speaker 1: just in love, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, all right, listen,
- 34:23Speaker 1: we have to get to miss Anne. I'm sorry, ladies
- 34:28Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss and Okay, thank you very very much.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Everybody here we go, all right. This is Andrew Puts
- 34:35Speaker 1: the news. The majority GOP appointed Supreme Court has voted
- 34:39Speaker 1: five to four to uphold President Trump's controversial travel band,
- 34:43Speaker 1: this time on six, mostly most of nations. This was
- 34:46Speaker 1: the third tribe by the White House. Now the first
- 34:48Speaker 1: one took place only days after Trump was inaugurated. Remember,
- 34:52Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete
- 34:55Speaker 1: shutdown of Muslims entering the United States on kill our
- 35:00Speaker 1: countries representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.
- 35:06Speaker 1: That band involves seven nations Iraq, Iran, Serious Sudan, Libya,
- 35:10Speaker 1: Somali and Yemen and was struck down by the course
- 35:13Speaker 1: because officials say was a Muslim band death and that
- 35:16Speaker 1: was pure and simple, just a Muslim band. But the
- 35:18Speaker 1: Justice have now okay to ban on people from six nations,
- 35:21Speaker 1: saying that the US can exclude visitors from certain countries
- 35:25Speaker 1: if their presence is quote detrimental to the U S.
- 35:28Speaker 1: And this is how President Trump sees the ruling. The
- 35:31Speaker 1: ruling shows that all of the attacks from the media
- 35:34Speaker 1: and the Democrat politicians are wrong, and they turned out
- 35:37Speaker 1: to be very wrong as to how many As to
- 35:41Speaker 1: how the many of the Muslim communities see the ruling,
- 35:43Speaker 1: they say the Supreme Court has been wrong before, like
- 35:45Speaker 1: upholding slavery and segregation, like putting Japanese Americans in prison camps,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and that they're wrong this time. And yesterday's primary voting
- 35:53Speaker 1: uh in Utah, former presidential candidate and Mormon Mitt Romney
- 35:57Speaker 1: was the winner of the US death Senate primary in
- 36:00Speaker 1: that mostly Mormon state, and in South Carolina, Governor General
- 36:04Speaker 1: Henry McMaster beat his challenger thanks to an endorsement by
- 36:07Speaker 1: President Trump. The head of the Health and Human Services Administration,
- 36:10Speaker 1: Alec Hazer, says that two thousand forty seven migrant children
- 36:13Speaker 1: separated from their parents at the southern border are in
- 36:16Speaker 1: the agency's custody by the federal judge has ordered them
- 36:19Speaker 1: to be reunited with their parents as soon as possible,
- 36:23Speaker 1: and in turn, for the New Hampshire Democratic Center, Maggie
- 36:26Speaker 1: Hassan has been suspended for a week for cursing at
- 36:29Speaker 1: the President and footage captured by NBC News, the President
- 36:33Speaker 1: is seen arriving at the capitol rotund of the other
- 36:35Speaker 1: day to meet with GOP lawmakers about immigration, when a
- 36:38Speaker 1: voice is heard calling out Mr President, f you although
- 36:42Speaker 1: she did she use the whole word. She didn't force letter.
- 36:45Speaker 1: All toys are stores set to close on Friday, Stores
- 36:48Speaker 1: with a lot of unsold inventory offering discounts. Folks, they
- 36:52Speaker 1: want to think about that when closing of toys. R
- 36:54Speaker 1: US is seventy seven forty stores in the US finalizes
- 36:58Speaker 1: the downfall of the chain that dominated the toy store
- 37:01Speaker 1: business in the nineteen eighties and nineteen nineties. How wherever
- 37:03Speaker 1: the market change over time, as you know, and Toys
- 37:06Speaker 1: r US began to get lose customers to stores like
- 37:09Speaker 1: Target and Walmart and mostly to most recently to Amazon.
- 37:12Speaker 1: So it's you know, the market change. Folks were looking
- 37:14Speaker 1: for discounts of the police. Finally, today is nifty shoes Day. Oh,
- 37:21Speaker 1: I know you were the best entertainment. Today's trending topics
- 37:24Speaker 1: and entertainment twenty minutes after the hour and the Steve
- 37:26Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show now, guys.
- 37:32Speaker 1: According to Fox News, a Republican Congressman named Andy Briggs,
- 37:36Speaker 1: Have you guys heard about this from Arizona has introduced
- 37:39Speaker 1: an initiative to censor California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters and
- 37:45Speaker 1: they he wants to ask for her resignation and for
- 37:47Speaker 1: an apology after she encouraged others to confront Trump administration officials.
- 37:53Speaker 1: The congresswoman. Congressman Waters is calling for people to push
- 37:57Speaker 1: back on members of President Trump's cabinet over the migrant
- 38:00Speaker 1: family separation crisis. The President tweeted Congresswoman Maxi and Waters
- 38:04Speaker 1: and extraordinarily low i Q person has become has become,
- 38:08Speaker 1: together with Nancy Pelosi, the face of the Democratic Party.
- 38:12Speaker 1: She has just called for harm to supporters of which
- 38:15Speaker 1: there are many of the Make America Great Again movement.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Be careful what you wish for, Max. What that's the president,
- 38:25Speaker 1: that's the president. Yeah. The congressman called for her resignation
- 38:32Speaker 1: and for an apology from her. But then the President
- 38:35Speaker 1: doubled down and said, uh, you know, called her again
- 38:38Speaker 1: an extraordinarily low i Q person. Uh. With her and
- 38:43Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi, they're saying they have become. He's saying they
- 38:46Speaker 1: have become the face of the Democratic Party now. And
- 38:49Speaker 1: he said that she has just called for harm to
- 38:51Speaker 1: supporters of which there are many, to Make America Great
- 38:54Speaker 1: Again movement. So be careful what you wish for, Max.
- 38:59Speaker 1: The just from your president. I'm just speechless President with
- 39:03Speaker 1: tweets something like this, you got this Congress, I'm just
- 39:08Speaker 1: man ignorance. When when you know, long after we're dead
- 39:13Speaker 1: and gone, the history of this presidency right here was
- 39:17Speaker 1: going down in the books. Yeah, when you know, young
- 39:21Speaker 1: people read about him I'm sure they're going to be
- 39:24Speaker 1: just a stunt. Dare's gonna be so many hands raising
- 39:26Speaker 1: that classroom did what I don't understand. We don't need
- 39:37Speaker 1: a little willy and no one said anything. I'm gonna
- 39:43Speaker 1: do a series of stuff like that. I'm gonna do
- 39:46Speaker 1: it on the radio show. Remember I used a little
- 39:50Speaker 1: Timmy stories. Yeah, I'm gonna do I'm gonna do books,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know, like a children's book. You know, you know,
- 39:56Speaker 1: look you remember run Jip Run, Little Tom Headed Dog. Yeah, yeah, Yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna do a series called loul Willie Louil Donald.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I can't imitate him because no idea. Well. Um. Congresswoman
- 40:17Speaker 1: Maxine Waters Steve responded to the president uh to his
- 40:21Speaker 1: claim claiming that she called for violence against his supporters
- 40:24Speaker 1: by reading a list of times that Trump has used
- 40:27Speaker 1: violent rhetoric. Uh huh, yeah, all of that, the s obs,
- 40:35Speaker 1: you know, when he talked about the football players and
- 40:38Speaker 1: nearly all right, listen, we'll talk about the divide in
- 40:41Speaker 1: this country. That's coming up at thirty four after the hour.
- 40:44Speaker 1: You're listening to the stew all right, Steve, So, yesterday
- 40:49Speaker 1: there were primaries, there were elections in Colorado, Maryland, Mississippi,
- 40:53Speaker 1: New York, South Carolina, Utah, and more states. However, it
- 40:57Speaker 1: seems like America is just so divide did um every
- 41:02Speaker 1: day we we see more breaking news every single day,
- 41:05Speaker 1: like the Supreme Court upholding Trump's travel band. We have
- 41:08Speaker 1: to we have a divide on immigration policies. We're still
- 41:11Speaker 1: demanding justice for unarmed black men getting shot and killed
- 41:15Speaker 1: by the police, horrific school shootings, white women calling the
- 41:19Speaker 1: cops on on people just having a barbecue in the park,
- 41:22Speaker 1: or or or kids selling bottled water. So what is
- 41:27Speaker 1: going on really in this country? What what is going on?
- 41:30Speaker 1: I mean, what's your take on It's Steve, I just
- 41:33Speaker 1: think that, Um, we're at a time where because you know, um,
- 41:38Speaker 1: you have to understand something about sugar honey iced tea. Okay,
- 41:44Speaker 1: if you throw sugar honey iced tea on the wall,
- 41:47Speaker 1: it drips down the wall. It doesn't drip up the wall.
- 41:51Speaker 1: So what's happened here is now the rhetoric that's coming
- 41:56Speaker 1: from the White House is making it okay aid for
- 42:00Speaker 1: common people to think it's okay to say what they
- 42:04Speaker 1: want to say to No more time out for this.
- 42:07Speaker 1: This is politically incorrect time out for this holding our
- 42:11Speaker 1: feelings in and trying to be understanding of other people.
- 42:14Speaker 1: He doesn't do it. We don't have to do it
- 42:16Speaker 1: anymore either. So it's it's given an okay to racism
- 42:21Speaker 1: and bigotry to rear your ugly head, and it's the
- 42:24Speaker 1: American thing to do because we stand on the constitutional
- 42:29Speaker 1: right and the flag. The problem with this is the
- 42:34Speaker 1: emphasis in this country has nothing to do with God anymore.
- 42:39Speaker 1: That little emblem on the money in God we trust. No,
- 42:43Speaker 1: they should take that off the bill because this has
- 42:46Speaker 1: nothing to do with God. We're doing nothing that's godly.
- 42:48Speaker 1: When you separate kids from their mom, that's not godly.
- 42:51Speaker 1: When you tell people that because their Muslim they can't
- 42:54Speaker 1: come in this country, that's not godly. That's not what
- 42:57Speaker 1: this is. They should just put money and power is
- 43:00Speaker 1: the source that operates this country. The morality of America
- 43:05Speaker 1: is slipping because there is no morality coming from the top,
- 43:09Speaker 1: and there you have believe that. It makes it iced
- 43:14Speaker 1: tea and slid down the wall and then covered everybody.
- 43:18Speaker 1: So they think it's okay, he's doing it. He doing
- 43:21Speaker 1: it this right, and we we voted for him, so
- 43:24Speaker 1: we can do. But like that brother's T shirt said
- 43:28Speaker 1: best t shirt. Come on, let your present get your
- 43:33Speaker 1: ass Okay, okay, you listen to me. Don't let your
- 43:41Speaker 1: president now because see somebody gonna pull the phone out
- 43:46Speaker 1: to make a phone call on somebody and go get
- 43:48Speaker 1: the whole phone pushed up in a crack. Really, you're
- 43:53Speaker 1: gonna have to pull it out from your throat, your
- 43:56Speaker 1: answers ringing you goodness time you can't click over? What
- 44:13Speaker 1: do you know? Did you hear the president on Tuesday
- 44:16Speaker 1: where he was campaigning in South Carolina. I think we
- 44:19Speaker 1: have a SoundBite where he was telling the voters to
- 44:24Speaker 1: to get out and vote cat Do you have that
- 44:26Speaker 1: play that? So this week it is so important to
- 44:29Speaker 1: go out and vote for country, vote for family, vote
- 44:34Speaker 1: for values, just man values, vote for victory, and vote
- 44:38Speaker 1: for Henry. He is a great, great gentleman. He's a
- 44:45Speaker 1: great gentleman because as a group together, we will make
- 44:52Speaker 1: America wealthy again. We will make America strong again, we
- 45:00Speaker 1: will make America safe again, Henry, and we will make
- 45:07Speaker 1: America great again. Thank you, South Carolina. Get your asses
- 45:11Speaker 1: out tomorrow and okay, keyword ray Yeah, he said the
- 45:21Speaker 1: word get your Okay, that's what they like about him,
- 45:25Speaker 1: say like no decorum, you know, no class, They just
- 45:28Speaker 1: like just say it, just say whatever, say how you feel.
- 45:31Speaker 1: All right? If you want to comment on this, please
- 45:33Speaker 1: go to all social benias Steve Harvey F and up
- 45:36Speaker 1: next it is the nephew with a prank phone call
- 45:39Speaker 1: coming up right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 45:42Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after, it's today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 45:49Speaker 1: why do I need a man m But right now
- 45:54Speaker 1: it is the nephew on deck with today's prank phone call.
- 45:58Speaker 1: What you got King of your daughter, bit my son?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Your daughter, bit my son. Uh. We're gonna take time
- 46:13Speaker 1: to expound on that your daughter my son. But I
- 46:20Speaker 1: can get everyone to turn where you will read where
- 46:25Speaker 1: the daughter being the son? I'm headed towards that eighteenth birthday.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Here it is your daughter bit my son. Hello, Hello,
- 46:34Speaker 1: I set this look do you do you do your
- 46:41Speaker 1: daughter go to the Little Academy? Yes, and her name
- 46:45Speaker 1: is Listen your daughter and bit my son. Uh, Joshua
- 46:50Speaker 1: want on the back. This is Wilton, your daughter and
- 46:54Speaker 1: bit my son. You can't just call my house and
- 46:58Speaker 1: tell me my daughter bit. Can't be cussing at me. Lady,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I just said, your daughter Secura bit my son Joshua
- 47:05Speaker 1: in the back, and I just meant no. I just
- 47:07Speaker 1: said no. Two things. One my daughter wouldn't bite nobody,
- 47:10Speaker 1: and two, don't call my house with this tone. I
- 47:13Speaker 1: called with any kind of tone, and I want to
- 47:14Speaker 1: call with all I'm saying is your daughter then bait
- 47:18Speaker 1: my son in the back. And I'm gonna tell you
- 47:19Speaker 1: what I'm saying is don't call my house with this
- 47:23Speaker 1: to saying something that my daughter beat your child in
- 47:26Speaker 1: the back. My daughter has manners and she wouldn't be
- 47:29Speaker 1: biting nobody in the back. Somebody, how the hell you
- 47:33Speaker 1: know what your daughter gonna be doing if you ain't
- 47:35Speaker 1: there my daughter, you're raised, She ain't your You just
- 47:41Speaker 1: come in one month and trying to do some kind
- 47:43Speaker 1: of daddy work. But four years old, how nail you
- 47:46Speaker 1: don't you know how that damn well? I've been with
- 47:49Speaker 1: her for four years. You being my daughter does not
- 47:51Speaker 1: be biting people around in the back of the neck
- 47:53Speaker 1: or anythingthing like that. What the hell is wrong with you?
- 47:56Speaker 1: Don't call my house with you where I get who
- 48:00Speaker 1: figure I'm a weekend daddy. I'm calling you about what's
- 48:02Speaker 1: going on with my child. But I don't think you
- 48:05Speaker 1: got your facts straight. So next time you call somebody
- 48:08Speaker 1: to tell them about their child, figure out everything about
- 48:11Speaker 1: your child first. All I'm saying is that the people
- 48:14Speaker 1: at the academy said secret my son Joshua were in
- 48:17Speaker 1: the back. Well, I can't understand what you're saying because
- 48:20Speaker 1: I don't like your tongue. So don't call me about
- 48:22Speaker 1: my baby. Have her mama called me. That'll make no difference.
- 48:26Speaker 1: If a mama or daddy call along with somebody, call hello,
- 48:30Speaker 1: call her back. Hello? Is this Carol? Why you hanging
- 48:35Speaker 1: up on me? Why are you still calling me? And
- 48:37Speaker 1: why are you yelling at me? My child didn't bite
- 48:41Speaker 1: your child in the back. When I picked up my child.
- 48:43Speaker 1: They didn't say to me your child is body in
- 48:45Speaker 1: the back. Child every day, Like I said in the
- 48:49Speaker 1: first lace, you must be some kind of weekend daddy
- 48:52Speaker 1: my child. I'm with my child every day. How you
- 48:56Speaker 1: are you I'm with I don't even know who Joshua is.
- 48:59Speaker 1: She should have just hit him in the head. You
- 49:01Speaker 1: ain't what you ain't gonna do and sit there and
- 49:03Speaker 1: talk about my baby. Now you asked me to lower
- 49:05Speaker 1: my toe. You know what I'm gonna do. I'm I'm
- 49:06Speaker 1: gonna hang up one moment. Hello, Hello, called back, call
- 49:15Speaker 1: her back cat Hello, don't hang up on me no
- 49:19Speaker 1: more like I'm again. I'm gonna call you until you
- 49:23Speaker 1: tell me why you your child and beat me? Is
- 49:25Speaker 1: it just bite my child in the back. I am
- 49:27Speaker 1: not in the mood to play with you right now.
- 49:29Speaker 1: You're gonna miss trying to get you and your child,
- 49:32Speaker 1: You and your child? You don't why whoa whoa? Guess
- 49:36Speaker 1: what Shaquira got her daddy? You're talking about whipping somebody?
- 49:40Speaker 1: Daddy else to say? You can't call my house and
- 49:43Speaker 1: threaten me and my job. If my child beat up childhood,
- 49:47Speaker 1: that's what your child is up. He got who daughter
- 49:51Speaker 1: whooped your sons? This probably want me to last trying
- 49:54Speaker 1: the little fat not in Those kids'll be talking about
- 49:58Speaker 1: when the fake facts she didn't bite him in the back.
- 50:01Speaker 1: She might have worked, but my daughter don't play. Now
- 50:07Speaker 1: keep talking. You found my phone number, fred my address
- 50:11Speaker 1: and have kills. Daddy? Beat you what I said, bring
- 50:14Speaker 1: your over here with my babies, with your baby my baby.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Daddy gonna whip you. Bring it on. I'm coming over
- 50:22Speaker 1: there and beat you and your child. You don't call

- 50:43Speaker 1: He ain't got no damn job. He got a job.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Y'all gonna make me come overout a night. Bring it
- 50:50Speaker 1: on right now? Do you know you know what I'm
- 50:52Speaker 1: gonna tell. You're selling over to tell me something else.
- 50:55Speaker 1: You're gonna get bit and your baby gonna get bit too.
- 50:57Speaker 1: You don't bite me and my baby she carried, are
- 51:00Speaker 1: gonna whoop? Yo? Can I say something to you? Say
- 51:03Speaker 1: something to me? The few timing from the Steve Harvard
- 51:07Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got prank you. Oh I am shame.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I am just got pranking. Your sister Glenda told me
- 51:20Speaker 1: she said they could give me. She said give my
- 51:24Speaker 1: She said you always time and never give me that. Oh.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I told them that wouldn't happen to me. But you
- 51:30Speaker 1: can't call somebody talk about baby. That's that's where it killman.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Don't don't call nobody about it. You got my heart hurt. Look,
- 51:43Speaker 1: can I ask you something? Let me ask you what
- 51:46Speaker 1: is the baddest radio show in the land, Steve Harvey
- 51:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. You if you're gonna you're gonna go with
- 52:02Speaker 1: somebody about their kids, you gotta go with the mama
- 52:05Speaker 1: push the bull man play too much. It's button pushing
- 52:08Speaker 1: to if somebody's mom whipped your behind. I think no
- 52:15Speaker 1: I can do. Yeah. This coming from because everybody got
- 52:20Speaker 1: time off. Oh yeah, because it's the holiday Friday. You yeah,
- 52:29Speaker 1: people got time off. When I tell you what Friday

- 52:37Speaker 1: that thirteen was a Friday, I would be in Jacksonville, Florida.

- 53:08Speaker 1: an attempt on my nephews life. That's what's gonna happen.
- 53:13Speaker 1: They're gonna try to kill and I got to beat
- 53:15Speaker 1: that for security. Okay, well listen to the US Open
- 53:22Speaker 1: Tennis Championship. Thank you, nephew. Uh will no longer penalize
- 53:26Speaker 1: players for becoming mothers. I love this, I love it.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Starting this year now, the tournament, which runs from August
- 53:33Speaker 1: to September ten is changing the way its seeds players
- 53:38Speaker 1: coming back from giving birth, which is great news for
- 53:41Speaker 1: our girl, Serena Williams, who just came back, of course,
- 53:44Speaker 1: a couple of months ago. The move is in response
- 53:47Speaker 1: to the controversy from this year's French Open where Serena,
- 53:51Speaker 1: the former number one player and twenty three time Grand
- 53:54Speaker 1: Slam champ, was not given a seed because she took
- 53:58Speaker 1: thirteen months off to have a babe. So there, you know,
- 54:01Speaker 1: they fixed that, They fixed it fixed. There's a lot
- 54:04Speaker 1: of companies. Yeah, they fixed that. You want to have
- 54:11Speaker 1: a baby, you can have a baby shirt. I'm I
- 54:14Speaker 1: have baby fever. Yeah, Carla wants to have a baby.
- 54:18Speaker 1: And you know what, some companies give men time off too.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Don't know what it is. I probably should have took
- 54:23Speaker 1: some time. You would have never been at working. Was
- 54:27Speaker 1: a mistake when you started. Ain't gonna lie to you.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I mean, who in here playing the key? We have
- 54:36Speaker 1: to come, We have to go sub change and handsome
- 54:40Speaker 1: woman walking and I'm pregnant? What? Oh, I'm not on
- 54:44Speaker 1: the wall. What would you say? I'm pregnant? Were having

- 55:45Speaker 1: it is Mary got asked me participation. You don't really
- 55:51Speaker 1: care at all? But the lion though, people think were
- 55:58Speaker 1: right to make the letters up in its number one,
- 56:04Speaker 1: I have a very active imagination. Nope, buggle up, hold
- 56:09Speaker 1: on tight, we got it here. It is the straw
- 56:11Speaker 1: very lettle subject term. I'm like gon subject. Why do
- 56:16Speaker 1: I need a man there? Stephen Shirley, I am a
- 56:20Speaker 1: twenty seven year old divorced female with no children. I
- 56:24Speaker 1: work full time and I am in school full time.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I am finally able to pursue my dream of becoming
- 56:31Speaker 1: a comedian. Since my divorce, I've been very happy being
- 56:35Speaker 1: single and care free and dating. I don't want a
- 56:39Speaker 1: serious relationship right now. See in the past, I put
- 56:42Speaker 1: all of my time and energy into helping my ex
- 56:44Speaker 1: husband build his comedy career, and like a dummy, I
- 56:48Speaker 1: let my goals and dreams get lost in his shadows.
- 56:51Speaker 1: My friends say that I'm not getting any younger and
- 56:54Speaker 1: I should want to be settled and married again, but
- 56:56Speaker 1: I don't. Right after high school, I enlist did in
- 57:00Speaker 1: the military, and I got married young. So I missed
- 57:03Speaker 1: the best part of my twenties. Now I want to
- 57:05Speaker 1: put myself first. The guy that I've been dating regularly
- 57:08Speaker 1: is also pressuring me to settle down. I told him
- 57:11Speaker 1: straight up that I'm not looking for anything too seriously,
- 57:15Speaker 1: but he doesn't get it. He told me that I
- 57:17Speaker 1: need to learn how to balance work and my social
- 57:20Speaker 1: life so we can be together. This brother is fine
- 57:23Speaker 1: and all, but I don't want to throw a man
- 57:25Speaker 1: in the mix right now. I don't want to end
- 57:27Speaker 1: up on my second marriage and wishing I had done
- 57:29Speaker 1: things differently. Is there something wrong with me doing me
- 57:32Speaker 1: for a while? Why do I need another man? Your thoughts, Well,
- 57:38Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure what what you want here. Um.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You started off talking about you know, you finally are
- 57:45Speaker 1: going to be able now to pursue your dreams of
- 57:48Speaker 1: becoming comedian. Um, now that you're divorced and everything. You
- 57:51Speaker 1: also talked about how you helped your husband with his
- 57:55Speaker 1: comedy career. You diverge your deferred your dreams and goals
- 57:58Speaker 1: to help him and every thing. So and now you
- 58:01Speaker 1: just want to do you. So that's how you started
- 58:03Speaker 1: the letter off. Then you talked about, you know, how
- 58:06Speaker 1: you're in a relationship now and uh, you know the
- 58:08Speaker 1: guy is pressuring you to to settle down and be serious.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Your family's pressuring you to settle down. So do you
- 58:15Speaker 1: want to do you? Do you? I mean, nobody's stopping you.
- 58:19Speaker 1: You're okay, It's it's okay to do you. It's okay.
- 58:22Speaker 1: People do it every day and all the time. Um.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Do are you working on your comedy career? You know? Um?
- 58:31Speaker 1: Being in a relationship won't necessarily stop you from doing that.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I mean, you're a woman, you can multitask. We do
- 58:37Speaker 1: it all the time. So what is it that you're
- 58:40Speaker 1: that you're really asking other than um? Uh? Is something
- 58:44Speaker 1: wrong with you doing? You know? The answers no to that?
- 58:47Speaker 1: Why do you need another man? Uh? You don't need
- 58:50Speaker 1: another man to you? You don't. Uh, you may want one,
- 58:53Speaker 1: but UM, I'm just a little confused. What you what
- 58:58Speaker 1: you want? What do you want? You want to be
- 59:00Speaker 1: a comedian or you want to be in a relationship.
- 59:02Speaker 1: If you don't want to be in a relationship, don't
- 59:04Speaker 1: be in one and and work on your comedy career. Um.
- 59:08Speaker 1: That's all I have to say to you, Steve Well,
- 59:12Speaker 1: The comedy career was confusing in the whole better because
- 59:17Speaker 1: first of all, you're talking. When you say Shirley and
- 59:20Speaker 1: Steve and you come to meet with this side of it,
- 59:24Speaker 1: I'm able to see the comedian side. I understand totally
- 59:27Speaker 1: and completely. Does nothing. Nothing you could tell me about this.
- 59:32Speaker 1: This is what I've done for thirty three years. I'm
- 59:35Speaker 1: an expert at this. I may not be good at
- 59:37Speaker 1: a whole lot of stuff, but just I got a
- 59:39Speaker 1: lock on this. Yet I know how to do it.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I've done it. Here's here's your problem. You're this divorce
- 59:46Speaker 1: woman who doesn't want to be in a relationship right now,
- 59:49Speaker 1: but you seeing somebody. I'm confused. Now, if you don't
- 59:54Speaker 1: want a man, then don't have a man. But what
- 59:57Speaker 1: you can't do to people. You can't turn around and
- 59:59Speaker 1: do to people what other people have been doing and
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: think it's all right. That's what happens to women they
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: date a man that don't want nothing, sins, But do
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: you want to just have something? Then when the woman
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: want to get sins, he tells how, oh, this ain't
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: what I want right now. But hold up, you wanted
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: everything that came with it, but now you don't want
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: a man, but you're seeing the man and he finding
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: all that and he pressured me to settle down. You
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: told him I ain't looking for anything to sis, but
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: he don't get it. He told me, I need to
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: learn how to balance work on my socialize so we
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: can beginner the brother fine and all, but I don't
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: want to throw a man in the mix right now.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I'm doing me like Shirley said, go do you go?
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Do you? But I got news to you. Let me
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: let me help you clarify one thing about this coming.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You don't work full time and go to school full
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: time and then turn around and say you're stand up
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: comedian because you're not. You're not stand up comedians are
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: stand up comedians. We're not waitressing m we don't work
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and shoot stove. We're comedians. We we we got it
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: all riding on this hill. And let me tell you
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: something else. You helped you let me destroy a couple
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: of mills in this letter. Don't nobody know you are
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: your hut. I have a career you to build his
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: up to, and that way is because we don't know
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: who he can't die? Yeah, come here and talking about
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I helped his career? Who is here? So we can
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: see just how much of help you wash. You know,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I'm twenty seven. Who is this boy we ain't never
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: heard of by now? If he was in anybody of
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: value in the comedy business, one of us would have known.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: He just got divorced from seven year Oh you're talking
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: about rock t New Okay, yeah, cool, See we would
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: figure that out. But that's not the case. You're not
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you're trying to become a comedian. How do you do that?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: What are you doing to prepare to become a comedian?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: If you just want to do you, let's not dry
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: coming into it, because full time job and a full
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: time student isn't enough. This is enough for most people.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: So look, at the end of the day, you don't
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: need a man, but you may want one in the future,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: so do you. But sooner or later you're gonna want
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: to get done. Listen to me again, do you? But
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: sooner or later you may want to get done. And
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you don't push the one dude out the way they
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: want to do you. You don't push him out and
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you think he's still gonna be there when you could
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: get yourself together. Nope, I don't. We got more of
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: what we come back if you hope more because you
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: may not want no mornes and we will have part
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: the hours subject why do I need a man? Right
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: after this you're listening to Steve by Steve. Come on,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: let's get to part two of your The subject is
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: why do I need a man? Okay, you don't need Yeah, sweetie,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you don't need a man. That's not about that. Baby.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You can live your life without a man, do you you?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you can go get another woman that
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: has always had an appeal to me. What I can
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: understand if she wanted another woman, because I have to
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I've had those same feelings. You don't have to get
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: a man. Why do I need a man? You don't
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: just keep doing you? But if you don't need a man,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: then stop fooling with them because you're gonna mess why
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: the food with somebody that ain't gonna hear this. You
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: need to grow up and settle down. You can't play
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: with these men out of here. You don't want a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: man playing with you, So don't come out here playing
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: with no man because y'all can't do the game like
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: we do. I'm gonna just explain this to you now.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I don't care what rap records you to listen to.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You can't do this the way we do it now.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: It's not gonna work out for you the same way.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Our recovery skills are much greater than yours when it
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: comes to getting it back together, especially after you sold
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: your reputation. A man can get his retation reputation back
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: way faster than a woman can. You're talking about it
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: is a double standard. It is a double standard. My
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: father taught my daughters a long time ago. I mean
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: talking to my sisters a long time ago. You can't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: do what I do and still be a lady. Hello,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you just cannot do what a man does and still
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: be a lady. Somebody gonna disrespect you for it. And
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: does that make it right? Absolutely, especially what I do.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: But is that the way it is? If I slept
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: with ten minutes ten women, I'd be damn Steve, you doggish? Okay,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you can survive that. You sleep with ten men, you
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: become whoolish. You can't survive it. You can't and it's
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: too ugly. Try to survive now. So if you don't
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: want a man right now, you don't need one, just go,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: do you? But quit seeing me just gonna do you
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: then when you want somebody, then you make yourself available.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: But quit leading these people down the donnybrook Pam, and
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I don't really thank you. Then the letter isn't funny,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: not one joke. She didn't even say nothing human. Ain't
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: trying to make it out a little like something. Give
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: me something that you might stand a chance in this
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: big seven year died at your husband and you left
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: yourself alone. Who is he that's is that offensive to you? Steve?
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Going down the list, I'm like Kerra hard he this
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: ain't his girl. Okay, this ain't d C fly girl.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Don't sound like Chico Bean. Okay, who the young dudes
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: out there? It don't sound like it is real girl,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: d lay girl, j read girl, none cold, It don't
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: sound like none of them. Uh you know who? I
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: died laughing that the other day that day, I'm like,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: some people were talking about why don't you dress your age?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Huh Mike el say, f y'all these are clothes. We
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: were these clothes, cross colors and all this way for
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: y'all got help. These ain't nothing new. Jesus are close.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: He out on a son at Jersey and I had
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: he said, I ain't even to wear them. Steve Harvey
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: SUPs this part I wear somebody a man. You get
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: offended with Mike Up said that you think I care
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: about that. I can't even tell you how that. Don't
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: move the need with me. That's what I've been going
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: here and put these suits on four more times today.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I don't know they're gonna pay me to put them
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: suits on on four more times a day. If I
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: told your answer gonna get a SUPs, I promise you
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: you would, though, listen to me. I promise you if
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you knew what I made today, you can't you and
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: over there and get you one of those suits. I'm
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: not stiding nobody, y'all. Please, no Steve Harvey wearing these suits.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: This is my brand, so it wasn't my girl. These
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: are closed, he said, after y'all talking about Jesus our
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: close y'all little pos They have no clothes. But he
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: said he's gonna be dressed like that till he that dog,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I'm dressing like this till I said go ahead else
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: And you know what me too? Now I am. Can
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I issue a warning? We threw the struggle and I
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: can't tell you something up on my talk show. This
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: new talk show season, I am flipping the squitt What
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: do you mean? What you do? My wardrobe changes? What? Yes,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: my wardrobe will change. You've never seen me this way?
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Well you the skinny leg down? Yeah. Switch, I'll tell
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: you exactly how who is gonna be by the whole
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: season on? It's will still dressing you. Oh that's my guy.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: What is the most talented wardrobe guy I've ever seen.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: We've collaborated and put together the new style of Steve
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Harvey on the talk show. I'll be the same guy
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: on Family few as I got to. But on my
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: talk show I'm gonna wear my newer style suits and
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: dressed like I've been wanting to for a while. Anyway,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: all right, we'll see stuff that I wear on a
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: personal I'm on not wear I'm on TV. I'm just
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: to reinvention. I talk to you all about this a
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: hundred times, and I am a firm believer in reinventing you.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, constantly reinventing you. The next change in Steve
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Harvey's wardrobe will begin September. Okay, September. The tip to
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: see it tell the people about blue cheese. Blue cheese
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: is what they called me. And why is that they
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: called me blue cheese? Because I'll be dressing alright, Steve,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: we gotta go email at their instagram as your thoughts
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey f M and
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: this Thursday a one hu this Thursday at one pm

- 1:10:03Speaker 1: the guys once again for filling in for me last Thursday.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: You guys are crazy, right, I was on a plane
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes. Asked Steve. Questions from um
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: from our Steve Harvey FM all social media pages. Okay,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: questions from you our audience. All right, cool, let's get
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: it on right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is time for Asked Steve and
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Steve today. All of our questions are from all of
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey FM social media pages. Carla, you have
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: some questions for us, Shirlie, Steve, you're ready, yeah, okay.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: This one is from our Instagram page Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: This is from at plumb Sugar. That's a cute name, Sugar,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: very cute. All right, Steve, how can you manage up
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the strength to do what you want in life even
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: if it hurts others? Hashtag as okay, say that again
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: for me? Hey, attention, I'm paying attention. I'm trying to
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: be clear about what they're saying. I don't like that
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: when you talk to him like that. Here's me shortly,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: what what hi you? In the ask Steve say, ain't
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: nobody email ahead? Alright? Fum plumb sugar on the gram?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: How can you manage up the strength to do what
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you want in life even if it hurts others? Well,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you can't understand what you understand perfectly? Now, how do
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: you do muster up the strength to do what you
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: want in life even though what you want to do
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: hurts others? Well, First of all, let's go over a
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: couple of things you must first manage. Is what you're
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: going to do going to better the situation for you
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and your children, if you have children involved, if there's
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: another person involved, it's what you're wanting to do going
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: to better your situation or their situation. Now, that's only
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: important if the person that I'm discussing or you're talking
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: about in this question matters to you. If the person
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: doesn't matter to you, why are you considering how they
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: feel about it? Secondly, you need to analyze why are
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: they hurt with your decision to do what you want
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: to do? Does it cause them to see less of you?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Does it cause them to get less of piece of you,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: less access to you? Or will they feel like they
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: won't share in the moment with you? If those are
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: the things that are happening, is that self manipulative on
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: their part or self motivate national on their part because
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: they want something to slide to the side of the table.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: If all of that's true to the negative slant, you
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: should go on and do what you want to do.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: But if they have a point, if you're doing what
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: you want to do is going to hurt others and
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you care about the others, you have to consider. You
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: have to weigh it out. Is a result of what
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna get up, This thing that I'm going to do,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: is a result going to be better for us and me?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Then if I don't do it and stay with this
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: person and keep from hurting them, is their hurt going
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: to outweigh what your action is going to produce. That's
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the best way I can put it. Does that make sense? Yes,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: yes it does. All right, here's how can I get
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: my fifteen year old grandson to be a part of
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: your mentorship program? You just completed the Steve Harvey mentoring camp.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: You have to register your son with the proper information
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: letters and everything. Bio is everything, medical reports required, everything. Okay,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: where are they going on? Steve Harvey Foundation dot com,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, But Steve though it sounded really good. Though,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: I gotta give you that you faked until you made it.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I love it when you courted him though, you give me,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: got me? Harvey Foundation dot com. What's next? All right?
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Ready for another one? This one is from the Graham
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: from Instagram. This is from on a Schamir. Al right,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: here's the question. Can you please do a stand up tour? Mr?
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Steve Harvey too? But I'm afraid because the political climate
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: has changed. It's so PC right now, and because my
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: whole career now a sponsor driven. Radio and TV are
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: sponsor driven. If I say something that I think is funny,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: somebody take offense. They started complaining I lose one sponsor.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: They all gonna pool and the way you all, the
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: way they judge comedy now you can't even do it anymore.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: The president is tweeting about comedy. You know, you lose
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: your jobs over jokes. Now, all somebody gotta do is
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: be offended. Oh how could he has nothing to do
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: with comedy anymore? So I would love to. I really
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: thought about it, but I don't think it's a smart
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: movie for me at this stage. I think I think
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I should take the bout it I took. I went
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: out on top gracefully, selling out everywhere. I'm gonna just
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: ride with that. Thank you for asking, because I showed
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: one too. It's in your heart, man, I will all
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: to just go do one and just take all the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: cameras from everybody at the don't put them in them bags,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: and just go and ripped one. That's what Chris Rock does.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: He makes you turning your phone when you go in
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to the venue mm hmm, and then you get it
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: back when it's over. So that's we haven't heard anything
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: from him, I mean about you know, anything that was bad.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: But I guess Steve, he's not sponsor driven him and
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Chapelle can say what they want to say. Yeah you're
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: gonna take them off TV. Yeah, now you what you're
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: gonna take the radio show. So they are a lot
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: more freer and can be much better at it than
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I would be at this stage. Okay, all right, okay,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: another question, Uh this is for Twitter, uh to t
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: M you direct? All Right, here we go. When it
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: comes to entrepreneurship, what are the main qualities you should
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: have when starting at ground zero? How do you make
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: it work? I'm speaking for all young entrepreneurs, Mr Harvey,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: that that's the question. Well, you gotta have a series
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: of things, Okay, Okay. You gotta have a fierce desire,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: you've got to have a huge dream, you have to
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: have unrelenting faith, and you have to have a dog
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: matic work ethic, dog maddic. It can't be anything else.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: All right, yeah, all right. Coming up at the top
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: of the hour, James Harden a m v P and
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Kanye attempts to clear up his slavery comments. All Right,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: we'll talk about that right after this. You're listening to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: the Steve Hardy Morning Show. The NBA handed out its
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: awards for the two thousand eighteen season, and to no
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: one's surprised, Houston Rockets guard James Harden won the MVP award. Alright, alright, alright, alright,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: m v P. Still, while many would argue Lebron was
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: a better, uh better player, most knew that it was
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Hardened that was going to receive the award Hard and
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Leather League in scoring with thirty point four points per
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: game while guiding the Rockets to the NBA's best regular
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: season record. How about that, Steve Harvey. Now he's deserving. Yeah,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: he's deserving to be v P. They didn't. They didn't.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: They didn't. H they didn't. They didn't slide it. Now,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Lebron took a team that had no business being there
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: there and Lebron's a bad boy. He's the greatest basketball
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: player on the planet. But the m v P numbers

- 1:18:35Speaker 1: He did great job. Man. I will say this though,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: I saw the speech that he gave. He just should
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: have just had the basketball is just taking and dripped off.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Yeah he yeah, you know he didn't know. No, I'm
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: just saying I saw the speech. I saw speak I'm

- 1:19:20Speaker 1: was that he got the crag saying Walter. I thought
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: the cookie Moss was on TV. Thank you, thank you,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I said, the cookie moster got the water from downstairs.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Pull it up, pulling it up right now. What You're
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: not gonna called me a lot? His last word on
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: his speech. You tell me James hard last word was swag.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: The last word swag. You can pull it up because
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: you're not gonna call me, don't lie. Didn't wear that.

- 1:24:20Speaker 1: So that's what Junior was looking for a little bit
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: more trash talking. Yeah, okay, I understand that if you're
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: from Houston and all the stuff. He had to go.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: You know how long that one you got the call
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: forget it forget? No, no, no, you're gonna do me.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: You hadn't have you staying out all right. More to
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this. Yeah,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right. In
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: entertainment news, hey listen, Kanye West is trying to clear
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: up his comments on slavery. Uh, he did it. In
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: a New York Times interview, Kanye opened up about a
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: state of mind during that infamous TMZ rant when he
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: said the slavery was a choice. He also revealed that
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: he was scared that his wife, Kim Kardashian was going
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: to leave him after those remarks, He says, there was
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: a moment where I felt like after TMZ, maybe a
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: week after that, I felt like the energy levels were low.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Kanye said, I called different family members, and I was asking,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: you know, was Kim thinking about leaving me after TMZ?
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: That was a real conversation. When asked to clarify if
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: he really believed that slavery was a choice, Kanye said,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: he never said that. I said, the idea of sitting
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: in something for four hundred years sounds sounds like a
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: choice to me. I never said it's a choice. I
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: never said slavery itself, like being shackled in chains, was
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: a choice. He explained, That's why I went from slave
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: to four hundred years to mental prison into this and
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: that if you look at the clip, you see the
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: way my mind works. There you go, I'm confused more.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: He said he never said slavery was a choice. He
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: you know, said that the four hundred years that sounded
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: like a choice. Sitting Kanye had kind of spoken out
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: of place, marks was gonna be taken in a negative way,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: but rightfully so if you listen to it, it sounded
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: exactly that way, and not everybody was wrong about it.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Now you're intent. I think his intent was true. I
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: think Kanye intentionally meant to say what he's explaining to
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: us now, and it came out wrong, horribly wrong. But
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: that's the part he's paying for. And you know, people
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: make mistakes, so he made the mistake. Well, did you
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: understand what you did? Free? Did you understand any of it?
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: He said he never believed that slavery was a choice.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: He said, he never said that. He said the idea
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: of sitting in something for four hundred years sounds like
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: a choice to him. He said, I never said it's
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: a choice. I never said slavery itself, like being shackled
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: and chains, was a choice. That's why I went from
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: slave to four hundred years, to mental prison to this
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: and that. If you look at the clip, you see
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: the way my mind works. Well. While a lot of
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: people were ready to cancel Kanye after the controversy, he
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: said he's not worried about losing his black fan base.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: In fact, he said that it's not going to happen.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: You're not always going to agree, but you're not going
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: to leave. That's what Kanye said. Well, they can't leave
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: lead you. Black fan base can't lead me because I've developed.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I've stole a song from Temptation. I know you won't leave,
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: but I received, yeah, and if I have to, big
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: and please for your sympathy. I don't mind because you
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: mean that much to me. They just mean too much.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: I can't leave black people, no matter what I could,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: in no way they mean too much of me. I know.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: You have to misunderstood me on quite a few days
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: out of done Trump visit was the biggest place. You
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: will never be able to let that go. What did
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: you say, Well, you know, I went up there to
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: try to do something that ain't worked over. I ain't
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: been back. Well, you know, you gotta take a chance
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: with you know, if you can get something good out
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: of this. Just like you said about Kanye, you're intense.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Three people keep putting them in that's you're both working
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: opposite that X. But they're still together. They're still together.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: They have three beautiful children family, So which feats Kanye?
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: See right there? Alright, coming up, we'll have more of
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, well, well, it
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: looks like Cardi B And Offset did the dog on thing.
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: They did it in the old fashioned way. After all, love,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: marriage and then the baby carriage. Okay, apparently the two
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: have been married for almost a year now. The marriage certificate. Yeah,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: who I love. Yeah. The marriage certificate list the date
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: as in the me goes Yeah, it was doing me
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: and the like. I just try to keep track of everybody, right.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: The marriage certificate list the wedding date as September two
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: thousand seventeen. This is according to an insider, Offset just
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: woke up one day, looked at Cardi and said, marry me.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: So instead of announcing the news to their friends and family,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: they decided to tie the knot right away and got
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: married at the house. For the record, yeah, Cardi B
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: was not married at the time. I mean she was
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: not pregnant at the time. This means that when Offset
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: stage that whole public engagement. Remember back in October, he
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: and Cardie B had already been married a month. Okay,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: Carti actually confirmed the news on yesterday. She kept it
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: private because she wanted that moment for herself. And I
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: understand that, you know, because Papa Rozzi is all around them,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: so they wanted something special for themselves. I love it,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: She says. Our relationship was so new, we had a
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: lot of growing up to do, but we were so
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: in love we didn't want to lose each other. So
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: that's why they did it yet. Yeah, okay, so Steve,
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: since you said that, So there are a lot of
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: young people out here that are so in love and
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: they don't want to use each other. What advice do
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: you have for young people that want to get married. Well,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: first of all, you should exercise patients, because, especially when
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: you're young, because the decision you're making today may not
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: even be applicable to one year from now. What you
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: want today it's going to change, and what you will
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: accept and who you are if you're young twenty years old,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: in one year, all of those three things will be different.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: Who you are will be different, what you won't will
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: be different, or what you will accept will be different.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: All of that changes over the year. I promise you
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: it does. So, Patients, if you all really love each other,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: then won't nothing happen to it marrying a person? And
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: this is not about Cardi bing uh offset at all.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: That's not that they did the thing. I'm I'm cool
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: with it. I'm just talking about in general. Up Pastor
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: told me something that's stuck with me. He said, when
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: you get married, the only thing that changes is the
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: appearance of your left hand third finger. So if y'are
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: tripping before you get married. When you get married, that's
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. You're gonna be trimping. It changes nothing.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: What it does is it's a tool that unifies people
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: under the eyes of God with some vows between you.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: That's it. If that's meant to be, it will be
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: that way this year or two years from now, and
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: so you might as well be patient and wait, because
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: if you get married at twenty or twenty four, tell
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: me what's the difference if you plan on be married
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: the rest of your life. Are you trying to get
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: your six years in now so you move on to
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: something else. That's a logical, experienced answer, you know. But
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: when you're young and in love, it's hard, you know,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: to to follow those rules. I'm sure everybody's parents told
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: you have told their kids that and everything. But it's
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: just hard when you're young and have no experience and
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: you're just in love, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: all right, Steve, coming up closing remarks right after this.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: You're listening to all right, Steve, here we go, last
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: break of the day. Um, some parting words for us
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: with your closing remarks, please all right, Um, I guess
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: so without thinking about this much, I want to talk
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: to you about life, how fragile it is, and I
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: want to have something to say about m You know what,
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: I'm really not gonna get into the whole situation because,
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: like I just be honest with you, there are times,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: there are actually times when I'm actually sick and tired
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: of talking about it. I am exhausted with the fact
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: that the color of my skin has to come into
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: play in my everyday life, my just day to day.
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I really can't think of any days
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: realistically why I do not have to consider the color
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: of my skin, the shape of my nose and my
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: lips wherever I go. The situation i'm in, I very
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: rarely I can think of a day that I'm not
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: made aware of it or I have to factor it in.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: If you're not a person of color or minority, you
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: may not even be able to understand what I'm saying.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: But I'll just give you an example. When riding in
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: the car and being stopped by the police, as me
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: and my buddy Greg Calhoun was doing last year after
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: golf out in coming from Montgomery to Alabam him in
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: his car and we were speeding, and we were supposed
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: to get pulled over. We were speeding. But what I
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: had to do was immediately become aware that I am
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: a black man. Skip your money and your fame. I
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: don't have time to throw that out at you. I
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: got to get and start preparing myself. As the officer
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: approaches the car, I must understand without him getting my
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: I D. I'm a black man, just a black man.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: So I put my hands up on the dashboard and
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: the officer came to the passenger side and said, why
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: is your hands on the dashboard? I said, because I
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: don't want nothing to happen to me. The officer said,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: while that's acting mighty suspicious. I said, no, it's not.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I'm just being safe, officer. If you don't mind, she said, well,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: I'll need to see I D. I said, my I
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: D happens to be, you know, pouch in the back seat.
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: I would have to reach. She said, we'll go ahead,
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: and I was tense because I didn't. I didn't want
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: to be mistaken. When I'm on an elevator and I
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: get on, I am conscious of the fact that me
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: and my guy are the only ones on the elevator,
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: when I go to golf courses, and I oftentimes see
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: that there are hardly any African Americans out here. It's
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: just me and one maybe the foces something that I'm
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: playing with, and and and I'm just always aware of it.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: If you're not that, you don't have to be aware
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: of it. But it's the awareness that becomes draining at times.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: It's the fact that you got to be the only
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: one on your floor, the only one on the elevator,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: the only one in the cubicle, the only one in
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: your department, the only one at the meeting, the only
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: one in the cafeteria, the only one on the on
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: the trip, the only one, the only one at the hotel,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: at the front desk, the only one, the only one,
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: the only one's kids that's in the recital, the only
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: one's kids that's after, that's on the soccer team, the
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: only one, the only one, the only one, the only one.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Gets to be exhausting at times. This will not change.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: And two more people who are not of color can
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: try to empathize or sympathize or generalize or something with
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: us to say, you know what, I don't know how
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: that feels. But I bet that ain't right, because, as
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: I've often said many times, slavery didn't end just because
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: black people got sick of being slaves. We were sick
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: of it the thought of it. When they put us
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: on the boats. Nobody wanted to ride the boat over
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: here and come be no slave. Nobody was under the
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: belly of them slave ships, going, man, this is nice.
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: It's gonna be a new opportunity. Nobody. So I want
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: to wake up and just see what it feels like
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: to just go about my day without having to calculate
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: my race, without to have to calculate the color of
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: my skin, to watch other people get paid a certain
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: amount of money and then you don't get paid a
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: certain amount of money with the same type of ratings,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: and then you got you got to incorporate something else again. Now,
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: I've been very blessed with the life that I have,
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: and I would not trade mind for anything, with all
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: this sick and tire of being sick and tired. Also,
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: what makes this also tolerable for me, it's my love
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: of who I am, my love of our power to overcome,
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: our power to maintain in the struggle, our power to
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: still be something where we were brought here to simply
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: be nothing, So for us to have accomplished what we've accomplished,
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: I'm grateful and awful proud of that. So I guess
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: my pride just keeps me going on. I hope that
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: God will continue to let whatever light that I can
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: let shine through my existence to inspire someone else to
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: overcome when it looked like you ain't gonna make it,
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: Because that's exactly what I've done, by the grace of God.
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: I have overcome against all the odds, even when they
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: said I wasn't gonna make it. And even though I'm
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: tired of being tired, I wouldn't trade places and be
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: nothing else, no how, because it in this struggle has
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: taught me so many items of strength. I've learned so
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: much about myself. My soul is strong, my spirit is strong.
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: Thank God for that. Y'all have a great weak it
