- 1:42Speaker 6: Turn You probably got to turn the mouth turn out,
- 1:46Speaker 6: turn the water the water jump.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on you think, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 7: dig me now one and on it. Steve Harvey got
- 2:11Speaker 7: a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 8: Okay.
- 2:15Speaker 7: I want to share something with you that I had
- 2:17Speaker 7: to come to the realization one time, and even in
- 2:21Speaker 7: the reinvention of myself right now, I've had to come
- 2:24Speaker 7: to that and I want to share it with you today.
- 2:27Speaker 8: Give it to you.
- 2:28Speaker 7: I want to tell you about something that a lot
- 2:30Speaker 7: of people do in their life and I want you
- 2:33Speaker 7: to be aware of it. Here it is, don't get
- 2:38Speaker 7: stuck on yourself. You could be wrong.
- 2:41Speaker 9: You know.
- 2:46Speaker 8: I said, don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong.
- 2:52Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:55Speaker 8: The reason I'm saying this is because people have a
- 3:01Speaker 8: tendency to.
- 3:02Speaker 7: Once they make a decision about something, or once they
- 3:06Speaker 7: decide to go a certain path. They go against all everything,
- 3:11Speaker 7: anything anybody says, anything anybody might do, any other ruling
- 3:18Speaker 7: they may come across. They shun advice, They don't listen
- 3:25Speaker 7: to counsel. They just I made the decision. I'm gonna
- 3:32Speaker 7: do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself. You could
- 3:37Speaker 7: be wrong, you know. Now here's a sure fire way
- 3:41Speaker 7: to tell if you're wrong. If you don't see any
- 3:49Speaker 7: movement in the direction you've chosen, if you don't see
- 3:55Speaker 7: anything going right in that decis if you feel as
- 4:02Speaker 7: though you're in a rut, if the wall you're climbing
- 4:08Speaker 7: seems so insurmountable that you ain't even moving an inch,
- 4:13Speaker 7: and every time you turn around you keep getting knocked
- 4:17Speaker 7: by down, knocked back down. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 4:19Speaker 7: You know you could be wrong, you know. See, that's
- 4:23Speaker 7: why it's important for people to always be open to
- 4:28Speaker 7: the reinvention of yourself. You know, you cannot be afraid
- 4:33Speaker 7: to reinvent yourself. In other words, you can't be afraid
- 4:38Speaker 7: to change. Change is necessary when it comes to growth.
- 4:44Speaker 7: There is no growth without change. The more you know,
- 4:49Speaker 7: the older you look, that is no growth without change.
- 4:56Speaker 7: If you're heading in a direction, it ain't nothing going
- 4:59Speaker 7: right in your life.
- 5:00Speaker 8: Could it be the wrong direction.
- 5:03Speaker 7: If you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it
- 5:06Speaker 7: be the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the
- 5:10Speaker 7: wrong choice. Don't get stuck on yourself cause you done
- 5:13Speaker 7: made the wrong stuff. It's okay to forgive yourself. It's
- 5:17Speaker 7: okay to let yourself off the hook. It's even smarter
- 5:20Speaker 7: sometimes to admit that you were wrong. You ever met
- 5:23Speaker 7: somebody ain't ever wrong. Have you ever met somebody you
- 5:27Speaker 7: talk to? They ain't ever wrong about nothing. Man, They
- 5:30Speaker 7: just it's they way or the highway. It's this is
- 5:34Speaker 7: my way, this is the I know people like that,
- 5:36Speaker 7: stuck on them power trips and all like that.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know what I had to learn how to do.
- 5:41Speaker 8: I had to learn how to let them go.
- 5:42Speaker 2: On them power trips.
- 5:43Speaker 1: But listen to this.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Though you're not taking me on that trip. Though you
- 5:47Speaker 7: going on that trip by yourself, I'm going in the
- 5:50Speaker 7: right direction. I've decided to stop the way. Okay, listen
- 5:55Speaker 7: to this person.
- 5:56Speaker 2: This person, I.
- 5:58Speaker 8: Decided to stop doing business the way I was doing business.
- 6:02Speaker 7: I decided to stop to allow business being done around me,
- 6:06Speaker 7: the way business was being done around me. You know,
- 6:10Speaker 7: the best decision I made was to allow for God
- 6:16Speaker 7: to have some say so and to offer me his direction.
- 6:21Speaker 7: I have found him to be a better driver than
- 6:24Speaker 7: anyone else I know. I have found him to know
- 6:28Speaker 7: more about the man he made than anybody else who's
- 6:34Speaker 7: merely associating with me. I have found it to be
- 6:37Speaker 7: a fact that my maker knows more about the vehicle
- 6:42Speaker 7: he created than does anybody else. If your Chevy break,
- 6:47Speaker 7: don't you take it to Chevy. You don't take your
- 6:50Speaker 7: Forward when it breaks down to a Toyota dealership. They
- 6:54Speaker 7: not gonna know everything that the Ford dealership would know
- 6:57Speaker 7: about the vehicle.
- 6:58Speaker 8: You know why, because they're not the maker of it.
- 7:01Speaker 8: So now, why are you letting?
- 7:03Speaker 7: You're letting your life being led, controlled and guided by
- 7:08Speaker 7: somebody other than your maker. I'm just asking you to
- 7:13Speaker 7: let's all take a common sense look at this. So,
- 7:16Speaker 7: if going to your maker is the best way, the
- 7:18Speaker 7: best decision I made in my business was take over
- 7:22Speaker 7: my brand myself, and to allow the maker of this brand.
- 7:27Speaker 7: See without God, I'm none of this. I'm none of this.
- 7:30Speaker 8: I want you to clearly understand I ain't none of
- 7:33Speaker 8: this without him.
- 7:35Speaker 7: I wish I could have the guts to reach back
- 7:38Speaker 7: there and pat myself on the back for what I've
- 7:40Speaker 7: accomplished in my life.
- 7:42Speaker 8: I wish I had the guts.
- 7:44Speaker 7: I wish the nerve of me because I know for
- 7:48Speaker 7: a fact that there is no way that I could
- 7:50Speaker 7: have manufactured the life that I have.
- 7:53Speaker 8: I could not even have thought of it.
- 7:56Speaker 7: It's no way I could have told you that this
- 7:58Speaker 7: was the route I was gonna take, and this is
- 8:00Speaker 7: the outcome because of it. I had no idea, no clue.
- 8:05Speaker 7: The one thing I had, though, was an unshakable faith
- 8:08Speaker 7: in God. I had an un and I just kept
- 8:13Speaker 7: believing in him. I kept believing that he had something
- 8:18Speaker 7: more for me. And then when I touched base with
- 8:21Speaker 7: him and asked him to show me what it is
- 8:23Speaker 7: what he had for me, Tada, the magic show began.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Because you know what he did.
- 8:28Speaker 7: He took all my natural abilities that he had given
- 8:32Speaker 7: to me, This gift that he gave me, that he
- 8:35Speaker 7: poured into me at birth, that same gift that he
- 8:37Speaker 7: poured into you at birth. The moment you go to
- 8:41Speaker 7: him and let him show you that gift, and then
- 8:44Speaker 7: guess what Once he takes what he naturally put in
- 8:47Speaker 7: you and put his super his superpowers on top of that,
- 8:52Speaker 7: then you have some supernatural things going on in your life.
- 8:55Speaker 7: And you may not be feeling me. I'm cool with that,
- 9:01Speaker 7: but I done have some supernatural things happen to me.
- 9:04Speaker 7: Every day I wake up some supernatural the man, the
- 9:09Speaker 7: rewards of my life, the awards of my life, the accomplishments,
- 9:14Speaker 7: the how I'm working, the how I manage it. All
- 9:16Speaker 7: all that ain't nothing but God. That ain't nothing but God.
- 9:19Speaker 7: You can't even explain this schedule to people. Sometimes when
- 9:23Speaker 7: people ask me, Steve, how do you do it? I go, well,
- 9:25Speaker 7: this is when I manage my time. Then at the
- 9:27Speaker 7: end of when I get through, I say, hey, man,
- 9:29Speaker 7: you know what I need to tell y'all for real,
- 9:30Speaker 7: it's God. I don't really know, but I'm letting him
- 9:34Speaker 7: manage me. So he handling it. He ain't gonna put
- 9:36Speaker 7: no more on me than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all,
- 9:39Speaker 7: don't be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this.
- 9:42Speaker 8: Don't get stuck on yourself because you could be wrong.
- 9:46Speaker 7: You know, you absolutely could be wrong if you don't
- 9:51Speaker 7: tie this to your gift. You will be struggling the
- 9:55Speaker 7: rest of your life.
- 9:56Speaker 10: You're listening.
- 9:58Speaker 11: Morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Top top top top top up the morning, Rise and shine,

- 14:06Speaker 9: My name is Robert. I'm the one of the owners.
- 14:10Speaker 9: You know, my wife Michelle, we own there.
- 14:13Speaker 15: Yes, can I help you?
- 14:15Speaker 9: Okay, we've been I think we've had your son, Malik,
- 14:18Speaker 9: probably be close to a year now.
- 14:19Speaker 5: All right, yes, you have is everything?
- 14:22Speaker 9: Okay? So everything's fine, Everything is fine. I don't think
- 14:24Speaker 9: we we have a problem that we can't clear up.
- 14:28Speaker 9: I have a question for you. Have you been noticing
- 14:32Speaker 9: anything different about Malik, like concerning hygiene at all?
- 14:36Speaker 10: Hygiene?
- 14:37Speaker 16: No, not that I can recalled.
- 14:40Speaker 15: What are you talking about?
- 14:41Speaker 9: Okay? How old is maliks? Okay? Well, we soon have
- 14:46Speaker 9: come across a little glitch here that we're going to
- 14:48Speaker 9: try to take care of here at the at the
- 14:50Speaker 9: daycare Actually my wife didn't. I told her I would
- 14:53Speaker 9: make the phone call and leave her out of it.
- 14:55Speaker 9: I know you see her every day once.
- 14:56Speaker 15: Yeah, what glitch are you talking about?
- 14:59Speaker 9: What is this? I'm sorry, glitch?
- 15:01Speaker 15: What is this glitch that you want to talk about?
- 15:03Speaker 3: I'm confused?
- 15:04Speaker 9: Okay. Well, actually what we're having is it seems like
- 15:07Speaker 9: every day here lately, for the last two months, Malik
- 15:11Speaker 9: has been you know, very musty. You know, he hasn't
- 15:16Speaker 9: been really sweaty, but just real musty.
- 15:18Speaker 17: Okay, you clearly have the wrong child because I give
- 15:21Speaker 17: my son a bath every night, and most mornings before
- 15:24Speaker 17: he leaves to school, I give him another bath again.
- 15:26Speaker 15: So yeah, I'm pretty positive you have the wrong child.
- 15:28Speaker 9: No, ma'am. Your son is Malik, right, and he's two
- 15:31Speaker 9: years old. You guys have been here with us right
- 15:34Speaker 9: close to a year now, correct, Yes, and okay, and
- 15:38Speaker 9: he's a cute little kid with the curly hair. I
- 15:40Speaker 9: know exactly which one he is. So what I'm what
- 15:43Speaker 9: I'm saying to you is that we are having problems.
- 15:46Speaker 9: He's just reeking. You know, he's real musty.
- 15:48Speaker 17: Okay, you know what my son does not reek.
- 15:50Speaker 15: I don't know what child you're talking about, but you're
- 15:52Speaker 15: not talking about my child.
- 15:53Speaker 17: I just told you and make sure that he gets
- 15:55Speaker 17: a bath every night.
- 15:56Speaker 15: So that's not my child.
- 15:57Speaker 17: My child is very clean.
- 15:58Speaker 9: Okay, Well on, Vanessa. What I'm trying to get you
- 16:01Speaker 9: to understand is I'm trying to This is why my
- 16:03Speaker 9: wife didn't want to call. Okay, and I'm glad I'm
- 16:06Speaker 9: actually the one that made the call. What we need
- 16:08Speaker 9: to do. This is what I'm gonna do. I'm just
- 16:09Speaker 9: gonna try a little experiment for the next month or so.
- 16:13Speaker 16: Experiment.
- 16:14Speaker 9: I'm sorry, Well, what do you mean experiment?
- 16:16Speaker 7: What kind of experiment?
- 16:17Speaker 9: What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put some male
- 16:19Speaker 9: deodorant on him for the next well just for the
- 16:22Speaker 9: next month, and we'll see how it plays out.
- 16:24Speaker 15: No, no, no, you're not You're not.
- 16:25Speaker 17: Gonna put anything on my child. That's not gonna happen.
- 16:27Speaker 9: Man, I'm trying to. I'm trying to fix the problem here.
- 16:30Speaker 9: I just wanted to call it.
- 16:31Speaker 17: He doesn't have a problem.
- 16:32Speaker 15: I already told you that.
- 16:33Speaker 17: My son is clean. You're not gonna put any on him,
- 16:36Speaker 17: and if you do, it's going to be a problem.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Do you understand me.
- 16:39Speaker 9: Okay, ma'am. I'm not trying to have an argument with you.
- 16:42Speaker 9: What I want you to know is that I'm not either.
- 16:44Speaker 15: But you're trying to talk about putting the order on
- 16:46Speaker 15: my child.
- 16:46Speaker 14: You you can't do that.
- 16:48Speaker 17: I'm not gonna have to happen in Please don't make
- 16:50Speaker 17: me have to come back to that school for you
- 16:52Speaker 17: and your wife.
- 16:53Speaker 9: Okay, Now listen, we're gonna have to do something about
- 16:56Speaker 9: your child. Your child is musty, okay, And you're sitting
- 16:59Speaker 9: here getting an attitude with me, and I'm trying to
- 17:01Speaker 9: let you know your.
- 17:02Speaker 17: Child is not nonsense.
- 17:03Speaker 15: Maybe you're the one that's musty. Maybe you and your
- 17:05Speaker 15: wife are musty. My child is not musty.
- 17:07Speaker 17: I keep telling you that I base them every night,
- 17:09Speaker 17: which don't you.
- 17:11Speaker 9: Under sand I understand everything that you're saying. Maybe it's
- 17:13Speaker 9: the soap, Maybe something is not taking effect. I'm not sure. Okay, But.
- 17:19Speaker 18: Because I don't know what child you are not my child?
- 17:25Speaker 17: Do I need to come down there for you with
- 17:26Speaker 17: the comps and suit your entire establishment. You don't want
- 17:29Speaker 17: that to happen. Stay it away from my child?
- 17:31Speaker 18: Are you crazy?
- 17:32Speaker 9: You know?
- 17:32Speaker 15: Matter of fact, is my son ma'am.
- 17:34Speaker 9: Your son is fine. Your son is in there with
- 17:36Speaker 9: the rest of the kids. They're playing. You know, today
- 17:38Speaker 9: is the first day I sprayed a little bit of
- 17:39Speaker 9: mail at the odor and way works.
- 17:42Speaker 17: You crazy, Look, Cheryl L. Can you come up from
- 17:45Speaker 17: me for a couple of minutes. I'm going to my
- 17:48Speaker 17: right now. I'll be there within the hour, because you
- 17:50Speaker 17: must be crazy. What you mean sprayed my son?
- 17:53Speaker 9: Scraam. I just prayed a little bit of the odor
- 17:55Speaker 9: and on and just to see if we can give me.
- 17:57Speaker 15: Permission to do that.
- 17:57Speaker 17: And I keep telling you that there's nothing wrong with
- 18:00Speaker 17: my child. How you took up on your shop to

- 54:48Speaker 13: All right, Thank you A for you subject he still
- 54:50Speaker 13: sleeps on his wife's pillow case. Dear Stephen Shirley, I
- 54:55Speaker 13: met a man online recently. I had a very bad
- 54:58Speaker 13: divorce and he went through losing his wife. She died
- 55:02Speaker 13: from complications of COVID three years ago, and he was
- 55:06Speaker 13: ready to get back out there and date. We connected
- 55:09Speaker 13: on many levels, and I was nice enough to help
- 55:12Speaker 13: him clean out his wife's things. He said that I
- 55:14Speaker 13: could take anything of hers that I wanted, from her
- 55:17Speaker 13: jewelry to any of her clothes, because she didn't have
- 55:20Speaker 13: any sisters to give the stuff too. I told him thanks,
- 55:24Speaker 13: but no thanks, because I was creeped out by it all.
- 55:27Speaker 13: We moved out everything except the bed that he shared
- 55:30Speaker 13: with his wife. I did not know it was the
- 55:33Speaker 13: same bed and same mattress. Till he attempted to have
- 55:37Speaker 13: sex with me for the first time. He tried to
- 55:39Speaker 13: get things started on the couch and make love there.
- 55:42Speaker 13: I told him that I imagined our first time being
- 55:45Speaker 13: a little more special, like in a bed, for example.
- 55:48Speaker 13: He said that he's not ready to be intimate with
- 55:51Speaker 13: another woman in his marital bed. I stopped everything and
- 55:55Speaker 13: put my blouse back on. I asked him why the
- 55:58Speaker 13: bed was so special, and he said it's where his
- 56:01Speaker 13: beloved wife took her last breath.
- 56:06Speaker 2: I'd be there.
- 56:07Speaker 13: He said he can't bring himself to change her pillowcase
- 56:10Speaker 13: when he washes the sheets. He told me I was
- 56:13Speaker 13: welcome to spend the night with him, but if I did,
- 56:16Speaker 13: he would sleep on his wife's side and I would
- 56:18Speaker 13: sleep on his side. Now, listen, I'm not feeling this
- 56:22Speaker 13: man at all after this. I was hoping he's the one,
- 56:26Speaker 13: but this set us back so far. I've recently talked
- 56:30Speaker 13: to him and asked if we got serious when he
- 56:32Speaker 13: get rid of that.
- 56:33Speaker 10: Bed sheets and pillowcase.
- 56:34Speaker 13: He said it would be hard, but if we fell
- 56:37Speaker 13: in love, it might it might be possible. Would you
- 56:42Speaker 13: guys be okay with sleeping in that bed or is
- 56:45Speaker 13: it creepy to you too? Should I put this relationship
- 56:48Speaker 13: on pause?
- 56:50Speaker 5: Girl?
- 56:50Speaker 13: You know the answer to these questions. Yes, this is
- 56:54Speaker 13: creepy to us too, Yes it is. Should you put
- 56:57Speaker 13: this relationship on pause?
- 56:59Speaker 10: Yes you should. This is not what we're doing. We
- 57:03Speaker 10: are not sleeping on the bed where your wife took
- 57:06Speaker 10: her last breath. Okay, we're not doing that.
- 57:10Speaker 13: He can live, and you know, honor his wife and
- 57:14Speaker 13: her memory as much as he wants to to himself.
- 57:17Speaker 13: But this is a lot to ask any person, especially
- 57:20Speaker 13: a black person, anybody on the face of the earth.
- 57:23Speaker 10: Okay, that's black. We don't get down like this.
- 57:27Speaker 1: It's not what we do.
- 57:28Speaker 10: We don't mess with dead people.
- 57:30Speaker 13: We don't do the dead stuff, the spirits, the seances,
- 57:34Speaker 13: the Luigi boards, we don't do ghosts.
- 57:36Speaker 10: We don't do any of that.
- 57:38Speaker 13: And after he told you that, not only were you
- 57:42Speaker 13: turned off immediately, but you were scared, I'm sure, and
- 57:45Speaker 13: looking for your car keys in the door.
- 57:47Speaker 10: I'm sure. Give me my blouse, my car keys to
- 57:50Speaker 10: my purse. I'm out of here.
- 57:52Speaker 13: Life is about moving forward, it's not about dwelling on
- 57:55Speaker 13: the path. Of course, it's painful, and we empathize with
- 57:59Speaker 13: him and anyone when a loved one dies. But you've
- 58:03Speaker 13: got to find the strength to move on, as hurtful
- 58:06Speaker 13: as that is, and he's not quite ready to do that,
- 58:10Speaker 13: and he cannot drag you into this situation. I suggest
- 58:14Speaker 13: for him some grief counseling immediately, and maybe you can
- 58:18Speaker 13: go with him on his first meeting as support.
- 58:22Speaker 10: That's my suggestion to you, Tommy.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Get your ass this house.
- 58:28Speaker 6: I don't care if your blouse ain't, Get your car
- 58:30Speaker 6: with your bra on, get your keys, and get the
- 58:33Speaker 6: hell up out of here. Why are you hanging around
- 58:36Speaker 6: after you didn't found out that. Once you found out
- 58:39Speaker 6: that that's why that woman died, you should have got
- 58:41Speaker 6: your mother about that in your out of wall, right
- 58:43Speaker 6: out of there, in my bra and got in my
- 58:45Speaker 6: car and rolled out.
- 58:47Speaker 2: I don't need that damn blouse. I don't need my purse.
- 58:50Speaker 2: All I need is my keys and I'm out. This
- 58:53Speaker 2: is the damn saying. What is the last question on
- 58:56Speaker 2: the letter? What is she asking us?
- 58:57Speaker 13: Yes, you guys be okay with sleeping in that bed?
- 59:00Speaker 13: Or is it creeping to you too? Should I put
- 59:02Speaker 13: this relationship on pause?
- 59:04Speaker 6: This relationship needs to stop right here. Right now, we done,
- 59:08Speaker 6: We out. We don't want a while because guess what now,
- 59:11Speaker 6: I don't know what lenen he got on the bed.
- 59:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 59:13Speaker 6: I don't know if he gonna ever change it. I
- 59:15Speaker 6: don't I don't want to lend. I don't care what
- 59:17Speaker 6: pillar cases is in there.
- 59:19Speaker 2: I'm through.
- 59:20Speaker 6: I'm rolling Tommy out. I am in my bra Can
- 59:23Speaker 6: y'all picture me in my bra rod at the light
- 59:27Speaker 6: in my want.
- 59:28Speaker 10: I don't want that visual time.
- 59:31Speaker 6: I'm in my brall. Tommy had to make a make
- 59:35Speaker 6: a left on Florence. Tommy Rowling, Now you need you
- 59:40Speaker 6: need to get your butt out of this. This is
- 59:41Speaker 6: not because guess what he is not He is not
- 59:43Speaker 6: moved on. He's not done.
- 59:45Speaker 2: He's still mourning.
- 59:46Speaker 6: He's still he's still mourning that his wife has passed,
- 59:50Speaker 6: passing his bed. You know, you would think he would
- 59:52Speaker 6: have gotten a new bed for himself this period. You
- 59:55Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, He just you know, so he's
- 59:57Speaker 6: a he's still attached baby. So you gotta let this
- 59:59Speaker 6: man go. But uh but yeah, but but getting your
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: getting your braw and rolla.
- 1:00:04Speaker 13: Hang on, Tommy, hang on, we'll have part too. We'll
- 1:00:08Speaker 13: hear from Junior coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:11Speaker 13: the hour today Strawberry letter, subject he still sleeps on.
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: His wife's pillowcase. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: You're listening.
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: Morning show.
- 1:00:22Speaker 13: All right, we're going to recap today's Strawberry letter, the
- 1:00:24Speaker 13: subject he still sleeps on his wife's pillowcase.
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: A woman wrote this letter.
- 1:00:29Speaker 13: She met a man online and uh, you know, they
- 1:00:31Speaker 13: kind of got together because they had she had a
- 1:00:34Speaker 13: bad divorce, and then he was getting through losing his wife.
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: His wife had died three years ago from complications of COVID.
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: And you know, she said he went through losing his wife,
- 1:00:48Speaker 13: but actually he's not done with it. He's still going
- 1:00:51Speaker 13: through it. He's still mourning her. And it's been three years.
- 1:00:54Speaker 13: He has not completely cleaned out everything from his uh,
- 1:01:00Speaker 13: his late wife, especially the bed, the marital bed. This
- 1:01:04Speaker 13: marital bed that's in his house is the same bed
- 1:01:08Speaker 13: where his wife died. And that's the kind of scary part,
- 1:01:13Speaker 13: and that's what this letter is all about. This woman
- 1:01:16Speaker 13: is creeped out by this. You know, the man still
- 1:01:20Speaker 13: he doesn't he washes the linen, but he doesn't wash
- 1:01:22Speaker 13: his wife's pillowcase. He wants to bring his new woman
- 1:01:27Speaker 13: into this marital bed where his wife died. Who does that?
- 1:01:32Speaker 13: And she's creeped out about it? She asked us, would
- 1:01:35Speaker 13: we be okay with sleeping in this bed? And the
- 1:01:37Speaker 13: answer to that is no. Is this creepy to us
- 1:01:40Speaker 13: as well? The answer to that is yes. And should
- 1:01:43Speaker 13: she put this relationship on pause? Yes, she should, especially
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: until he can get some sort of grief counseling to
- 1:01:50Speaker 13: work through this, because he's not over this. He's definitely
- 1:01:53Speaker 13: not over this. Now, we heard from Tommy Junior. Tommy said,
- 1:01:57Speaker 13: run leave the situation alone.
- 1:01:59Speaker 9: J Bra.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Roll out what I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 1:02:05Speaker 12: I'm embracing my whole culture right now.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I'm black. I don't do spirit.
- 1:02:09Speaker 12: I don't do that, especially if I've already seen the
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: spirit before.
- 1:02:12Speaker 11: I know what this is.
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: No.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Now, let me tell you something.
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: Margaret's spirit in here in his whole bedroom, black people,
- 1:02:21Speaker 12: I don't.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: Do this here.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Margaret's spirit is in it. Margaret watching us, Mark, Margaret
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: is in here.
- 1:02:31Speaker 12: It's hard to kiss and something go behind you.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: I can't see that. Did she just come across the room.
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: It's Margaret in the color with all folded watching. Yeah, no, no, no, no,
- 1:02:44Speaker 12: no no, we got to burn this whole bed everything.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: You got to go.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: No, Black people don't even play this type of game.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I can't do this.
- 1:02:51Speaker 12: You have us, Yeah, timmon, I can't see this, man,
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: I promise. The minute I see something white float across
- 1:03:01Speaker 12: the rood, everything that I'm putting clothes on the me
- 1:03:08Speaker 12: because your spirit is in here.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: She's in here. Wait a minute. What is that I smell?
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: Is that her sin? Is that her perfume just came
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: in here? It's not doing it.
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: I hate to say this, y'all. What that body might
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: be in that house. I'm just trying to that mighty much.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: The body might be in that house now, I'm just
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: telling you might be. You need looking at at it
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: in the basement. That body might be in that house.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: I'm telling you.
- 1:03:32Speaker 12: Let me just tell you all this. Y'all have never
- 1:03:35Speaker 12: known this by me. But again, I don't do this.
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: I'm tell you right now. I was at my great
- 1:03:38Speaker 12: grandmother's funeral.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: We went back to that house. I saw standing in
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: at the window. I've seen the spirit before.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I'm not lone.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Don't play with me. Your grandmama was in the window.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: My great grandmother spell. I just went to the funeral
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: that day.
- 1:03:51Speaker 12: That night, her spirit was in that house and look
- 1:03:54Speaker 12: out that window.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: I'm not doing this.
- 1:03:57Speaker 12: When you went to nine, don't ask me, all you
- 1:04:00Speaker 12: and you saw your breaking Freddie by Rogers in the window.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: I'm telling y'all, don't blame me. I don't do this.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Just know what I do.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Don't do this to me. Asked me about no?
- 1:04:12Speaker 13: You know, I think the crazy part about this letter
- 1:04:15Speaker 13: is that his wife died in this bed. He wants
- 1:04:21Speaker 13: to bring this other woman and and and make love
- 1:04:25Speaker 13: to her and try to have a relationship. That's the
- 1:04:28Speaker 13: crazy part. You're supposed to get rid of this bed.
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: Now she.
- 1:04:38Speaker 12: Is?
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: How long was Jane Brown? And that how James Brown
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: did I how about sick?
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: Money?
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: Wasn't?
- 1:04:43Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: What ain't?
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: Now? They put him in a tongue.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: I had to.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I'm with time.
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: James Beary, I know James Beard run now saying his
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: ass runs.
- 1:04:55Speaker 12: Oh, don't play, don't play about this. I'll play with
- 1:05:01Speaker 12: y'all all day long, but not about these spirits.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: Bro Okay, all right, let me ask you this.
- 1:05:13Speaker 13: When he was giving trying to give her some of
- 1:05:15Speaker 13: his wife's things, like the jewelry and stuff.
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: Would you have taken the jewelry?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: The value?
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: It was value taking that her And.
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: That's and that's crazy to him to have given to
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: be trying to get out of way too. That's what
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: she didn't have it.
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: He didn't have anyone else to give it to. That's
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: what That's what she said.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: We're talking. Yeah, come on, okay, let me ask you this.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Would you would you want her wedding ring? That's about
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: to say her. I said, would you put that wedding
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: ring on?
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: We would get it? Yeah, we would get it redone. Yeah,
- 1:05:50Speaker 10: we geown.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: We know what to do if it's off the chain.
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: I don't.
- 1:05:55Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm telling you, I'm now I'm scared.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: What's your grandmama name?
- 1:06:03Speaker 20: Again?
- 1:06:04Speaker 14: Man?
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: What's Rodgers? My great grandmother in the window which she
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: used to always look Go play with me. I'll pay

- 1:09:56Speaker 10: Morning Show. Well, guys, listen DJ on Facebook rights.
- 1:10:01Speaker 13: I'm torn between being a good dad and being fiscally responsible. Okay,
- 1:10:06Speaker 13: fiscally responsible. My son just called me up, tripping and
- 1:10:11Speaker 13: almost in tears because his car is irreparably damaged and
- 1:10:15Speaker 13: it looks like he needs to buy a new one.
- 1:10:17Speaker 13: Without a car, he can't get to work. He's also
- 1:10:20Speaker 13: twenty five and has won bankruptcy under his belt already
- 1:10:24Speaker 13: and has been evicted from two apartments for not paying
- 1:10:27Speaker 13: his rent. However, he always has the latest video games
- 1:10:31Speaker 13: and streaming subscriptions. He's begging me to co sign a
- 1:10:34Speaker 13: loan so he can get a car, but I'm sick
- 1:10:37Speaker 13: of him. What do you all think?
- 1:10:40Speaker 14: What?
- 1:10:40Speaker 10: Okay, yeah, come on, daddy, Tommy.
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: I got it.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I got twenty six year old okay, So yeah, tough love.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: It's time for some tough love.
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: So yeah, But the issue is the boy got to
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: get to work, and if you don't get to work,
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: then he's steal in your pocket.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: So you might have to buy a little you something
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: so he can get to and front.
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: I know you don't want to do it, but you
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: may have to break down and buy a little some
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: something you know, or what they call the cash cash car, yeh,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: cash car. You know, you might have to spend a
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: few thousand dollars to get your son in a car.
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: And you got to and then you got to you
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: got to lean on him, You got to put that
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: tough love on and say, look, this is it, man.
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: You got to get yourself together.
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: This is it.
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: You got to take care of yourself and and and
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: you got to quit running back the banker's clothed. Okay,
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: this is the last straw, the banker's clothed. And if
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: you don't, the bank will continue to stay open. He
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: will continue to run the daddy every time he needs something.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: It's over.
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: Take care of yourself, okay. And he's twenty five and
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: he's twenty five. Let me tell you this, twenty six,
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: guess what he gonna be off your insurance and he's
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: gonna have no money for that because I.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Just went through that.
- 1:11:54Speaker 13: I just went through that too, through that now, Yeah,
- 1:11:57Speaker 13: I just went through that. Yeah, Junior, No, Tommy, just
- 1:12:03Speaker 13: good daddy.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:12:05Speaker 12: Let me tell you something that I am learning a
- 1:12:07Speaker 12: new phase in my life with having step children, but
- 1:12:11Speaker 12: I love them being my own. But at the same
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: time we have those issues too with the children coming
- 1:12:16Speaker 12: to us and asking us, and I keep doing it,
- 1:12:19Speaker 12: and I'm trying to work with her son. I said, listen, man,
- 1:12:22Speaker 12: you have no other options.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: And you younger, you have to do something with your life.
- 1:12:27Speaker 12: But it's not going to be putting a band aid
- 1:12:29Speaker 12: on here every time you need something, because every time
- 1:12:31Speaker 12: I give you a cop hundred dollars, two hundred dollars
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: and pay this bill, it's just a band aid because
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: you're not worried about what you're going to do for
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: the rest of your life.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: And you have children, you know what, it's a lot
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: of it is our fault because we've given them so much.
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: I think that we've given them so much that we
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: have not actually trained them to you have got to
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: do this for yourselves and and and we've we've created
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: a monster. We've created a lot of monsters out there
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: that it's just like, oh my god, you have you
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: don't have these skills to get yourself through life. And
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: it's my fault that I gave because I wanted to
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: give to you because I was but I didn't have exactly.
- 1:13:11Speaker 10: Yes, and we didn't have this, Yes, unlike our parents.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Yeah, our parents, they were trying to survive and so
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: they did the best they could.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: In each generation. You want your children to look better,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: they better.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: So with this generation, like you said, Tommy, we were
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: just giving them, giving them, giving them.
- 1:13:32Speaker 6: We have.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: We did those life skills and teaching them how to
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: be disappointed and to do without and.
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: To know what it is.
- 1:13:42Speaker 13: But if I learned nothing to get wages from working
- 1:13:45Speaker 13: hard for your money, that they if we just give
- 1:13:49Speaker 13: it to them, there's no lesson in that. They don't
- 1:13:51Speaker 13: know how hard you have to work to get these
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: few dollars. They don't understand that if you constantly give
- 1:13:57Speaker 13: it to them.
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: Yeah, if I learned nothing else from my father, I
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: learned how to survive, and I learned how to save.
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: If I nothe else, I'll learned how to say. Yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: you say you're a great savior. I always tell you
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: that stack stacks, stack stack stack.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Hurt my feelings.
- 1:14:13Speaker 12: The most is my nephew came to me two weeks ago.
- 1:14:16Speaker 12: This actually happened two weeks ago. See, if I just
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: don't do well, I just come live with you. That's
- 1:14:21Speaker 12: not your attitude. Now I failed you, young man, and
- 1:14:27Speaker 12: we just gave gave game.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: You can't stay here, so get it out your head man.
- 1:14:33Speaker 13: Yeah, all right, guys, all right, we'll have more of
- 1:14:36Speaker 13: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes
- 1:14:38Speaker 13: after the hour.
- 1:14:39Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening.
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: Morning Show.
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:14:45Speaker 13: In trending pregnancy news, I don't know where that came from,
- 1:14:49Speaker 13: but here it is. A reason poll of two thousand
- 1:14:55Speaker 13: women shows that eighty nine percent experienced at least one
- 1:14:59Speaker 13: type of craving during their pregnancy. It also used data
- 1:15:03Speaker 13: to determine some of the most popular food cravings, as
- 1:15:06Speaker 13: well as some of the strangest ones. The most popular
- 1:15:09Speaker 13: cravings include seasonal foods that are out of season when
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: the cravings strike, for instance, pumpkin pie or sweet potato
- 1:15:16Speaker 13: pie in the spring. Others want very specific food combinations
- 1:15:21Speaker 13: like peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches or pickles and cheese.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: So here's the.
- 1:15:28Speaker 13: Question, what kind of cravings? Uh, what kind of cravings
- 1:15:33Speaker 13: did your wife have while pregnant? Plus Carl and I
- 1:15:37Speaker 13: had some cravings that are own can't remember.
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: I can't remember Jackie's cravings ice cream.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: Yeah, we did that together.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, way too.
- 1:15:49Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Oh, I was going through too.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: I wanted pizza all the and I could not stand
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: the smell because you know, pregnant when would smell.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're so the smell of popcorn? Oh wow?
- 1:16:06Speaker 13: Okay, And as much as I love pizza, I couldn't
- 1:16:09Speaker 13: stand pizza at that time, I couldn't. I didn't want
- 1:16:12Speaker 13: to smell it. All I wanted was watch her melon.
- 1:16:16Speaker 13: And you know watermelon wasn't in seasons and October. Yeah,
- 1:16:21Speaker 13: all right, coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:24Speaker 13: we'll play around it.

- 1:16:41Speaker 13: in a cabin in the woods?
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: Remember that movie Need to Be by the Water?
- 1:16:47Speaker 10: Okay, so there's no bears in the woods.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I didn't seen a movie called cabin.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it was scary.
- 1:16:57Speaker 10: Yeah, on the beach, all right?

- 1:17:50Speaker 12: fifty now. I'll be forty five next month, and you

- 1:17:59Speaker 13: One bar Yeah, yeah, that makes sense, all right? Would
- 1:18:03Speaker 13: you rather never be able to drink water again? Or
- 1:18:07Speaker 13: only be able to drink water?

- 1:20:07Speaker 13: from Bria on Steve Harvey FM. Bria wrote to us.
- 1:20:11Speaker 13: She says, my roommate and I have lived together for
- 1:20:14Speaker 13: the last two years. I really like her, and we
- 1:20:18Speaker 13: moved into this apartment together, but I want to live
- 1:20:21Speaker 13: alone now. I make enough money and I'm the only
- 1:20:25Speaker 13: person on the least, so I'd like to continue living here.
- 1:20:28Speaker 10: And have her move out.
- 1:20:30Speaker 13: How do I get her to move out without coming
- 1:20:32Speaker 13: off as a complete mean the word?
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: I think you got to say it the same way
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: you just told us that you know, you want to
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: live by yourself. You you really want your space. I
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: don't know if you can. It's gonna be hard either
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: way you say it. You just gotta let her know,
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: you know, but you gotta and you gotta let her know.
