- 0:00Alan Carroll: Our next guest on the mind for your podcast. He
- 0:07calls himself a coach. I met coach Ron few months back at a
- 0:19staples store out in the Silicon Valley. And he was helping me
- 0:26understand the computer in order to get it to create a label. And
- 0:33as we, as we chatted, all of a sudden there is a realization
- 0:40that I'm chatting to someone who is definitely walking on the
- 0:48mindfulness path. And not only is Ron walking on the
- 0:52mindfulness path, not only is Ron talking on the mindfulness
- 0:57path, Ron also is a teacher is a coach who has coaching other
- 1:05people to walk on that mindfulness path. And one of the
- 1:11gifts that Ron, that Ron has, is that he has been blessed with an
- 1:19with a realization, not just reading about mindfulness and
- 1:26meditation and spirituality, but an experience of mindfulness
- 1:32being touched by divine by divine energy. And then to be
- 1:39able to take that experience, that abstract metaphysical
- 1:48experience, and then be able to articulate it in a way that
- 1:56other people can understand and have greater clarity on how they
- 2:04too, can walk the mindfulness path. So is with joy in my
- 2:10heart. That I welcome coach Ron, to the mindful you, podcast.
- 2:20Coach, Ron, welcome to the mindful you podcast. It's
- 2:26guiding you on the podcast. And when I met you in Los Gatos,
- 2:30several months ago, there was a spark there was a spark between
- 2:36what you said and what I said. And what I want to be able to do
- 2:41was add more kindling to the spark to create a flame sir
- 2:46flame of light a flame of light only permeates the the
- 2:53individual experience of a person but also permeates the
- 2:58organizational structures that we have as humans, for example,
- 3:03the corporations and you had mentioned a little bit about the
- 3:07the spirituality in the corporate world, our the need
- 3:12for more of that spirituality in the corporate world. And I call
- 3:16that mindfulness spirituality. And before we go into the that
- 3:21particular path, I would like just to have our audience hear a
- 3:24little bit about your path about what ignited the spark in you,
- 3:30which now burns like a burning bush. A bright light, sir
- 3:34universe.
- 3:37Coach Ron Kardashian: Well, thank you again for having me.
- 3:38I'm honored to be here. The my history dates back all the way
- 3:43till I was 22 years old Alan, where I was heavy into the party
- 3:48scene, drug use, did jail time, I mean, anything. A young boy
- 3:55who has no real strong governances on his life could go
- 4:00I went, which I'm a big advocate of boundaries now in principles
- 4:06that that I didn't even know existed. I mean, we were just
- 4:10living life vicariously so much. So it costs me not one but three
- 4:15near death experiences. And remember, one evening, I had
- 4:19come down with the chicken pox in the third grade, and my fever
- 4:24at hit scarlet fever level, which for our listeners, that's
- 4:28that's 103 104. They say 104 You begin to fry up 105 And my
- 4:36mother at the time who was not an overly spiritual person, but
- 4:39was a devout Catholic. You know, I say that I'm a Catholic and
- 4:42recovery, you know, because religion never bode well for me
- 4:46at all. But that night, that night, she brought in the nuns,
- 4:54that's all she knew how to do because her little boy in the
- 4:57third grade, which was the love of her life was dying. Hang, and
- 5:01they didn't know how to stop it. I mean, at one point, Alan, my
- 5:05father could not lift me up under my arms because the
- 5:10chicken pox was so bad that it would skull me scalding burning
- 5:16my flesh if he tried to touch me. So they had to use a cold,
- 5:21crisp cotton sheet to help lift me up to get me into the baths.
- 5:26Where I would soak. I mean, at one point, she said, we had
- 5:28thought that maybe you had a form of leprosy. And I don't
- 5:31remember all the details of that. But I do remember just
- 5:35asking God to take my life. You bet. It was at that moment that
- 5:39the transition began. And you fast forward now, you know, till
- 5:45I'm 22, having gone up and down and being confused, no
- 5:49direction, but all but having this near death experience led
- 5:52to my second one, which was a fatal car accident, where I
- 5:55crossed over. And you know, how people say that they've seen the
- 5:58light, you know, I didn't just see the light I saw Jesus face
- 6:02to face. I mean, when people asked me to articulate what it
- 6:07was to look into the face of Jesus, and we have all these
- 6:11religions that have soured that name, I mean, in the Western
- 6:15culture, Jesus Christ is a cuss word. None of my Buddhist
- 6:18friends have Buddha as a cuss word, you know, just Jesus. And
- 6:22I thought, Man, the guy has been really given a bad rap. And
- 6:25actually, he just was the most warming loving entity of light
- 6:30that all of us are crying out for. And I saw him, and I've
- 6:33seen him twice since then. And so much so that it impacted me,
- 6:39right, I thought I should become a Catholic priest. Uh huh. And
- 6:43so, funny story was, I enroll in the priesthood. And two boys
- 6:49show up at this massive retreat. Long story short, the priest
- 6:52tells me all his problems out on one walk one morning, and
- 6:56actually deters me from becoming a priest. But you know, when you
- 7:01have encounters like this, and they're happening more and more
- 7:04often, the the spiritual realm is so powerful. And then fast
- 7:09forward into coaching companies, you know, you're you're talking
- 7:13to high level individuals who are actually having the same
- 7:17encounters, but they don't know how to articulate them. They're
- 7:21too afraid or embarrassed or pride or people are gonna think
- 7:25you're crazy. Or, you know, and not just the light, the demonic
- 7:29side, too. I mean, I hear people talking about, they saw black
- 7:33hatted figures standing in the hallway, repetitively over and
- 7:36over again. So this, this began to fascinate me. And I began a
- 7:42deep exhaustive study over the last 25 years, into the Word of
- 7:45God into the Holy Bible. And also, Hey, I gotta admit, I
- 7:50started at the East West bookstores, had some psychic
- 7:56readings in the beginning. I mean, when you're touched like
- 7:59that, you don't just say everything else is obsolete,
- 8:04your mind opens up to a whole plethora of knowledge seeking
- 8:11where you need to grab a hold of what happened. Because if you
- 8:15don't, then you really have no portal of destiny, which I call.
- 8:20In other words, you know, the trajectory now you should be on.
- 8:23And I encourage people always to seek but at the end of the day,
- 8:26Jesus is Lord in my heart, Allen lock, stock and barrel.
- 8:31Everything that I teach, and everything that I do comes from
- 8:35a spirit of love, which was the main difference. I was noticing
- 8:40amongst a lot of different ecumenical circles, if you will,
- 8:44that that behavioral trait of like how we met, you know, in
- 8:49fact, I think you need a little help with something that you
- 8:52were doing and right, what started the conversation? That's
- 8:55right. I said, Well, let me let me offer some, some kindness,
- 9:00which is something I think the world needs a lot of, and by the
- 9:02way, I'm still a work in progress. But that that began
- 9:06the journey right of, of deep diving. Now, I pivoted early on
- 9:13early on in my career, because I always had a call to be in
- 9:16health and fitness. So, you know, right around 22, after I
- 9:20got touched, I had the Bible in one hand, and then I had the
- 9:22strength and conditioning journals in the other hand, so I
- 9:25was completely perplexed on which direction of which path I
- 9:29should take. Power of mentorship, the power of coaches
- 9:32like you, Alan, I meet a woman who tells me, why can't you do
- 9:36both? And that began my spiritual journey of not
- 9:40becoming a priest, because God knows I wanted to be married.
- 9:43It's better to marry than to burn, and this boy was burning.
- 9:46And I said, you know, I think I can do both. And I did. My
- 9:51career started me off all the way went up to the NFL, or I
- 9:54started to coach and pro athletes got my license and
- 9:57strength and conditioning. And then what One of the, one of the
- 10:02NFL athletes asked me to help him with his money. And I didn't
- 10:05have any money. I mean, I had done well, but not not millions
- 10:08well, and it was just a very precious relationship. He was
- 10:12also a Christian brother. So we had this commonality, of course,
- 10:17pro sports are filled with a bunch of spiritual guys who have
- 10:20very little direction. And that's what started the business
- 10:24career. So I have a little little saying is I went all the
- 10:27way from the weight room to the boardroom, you know, because I
- 10:31found a niche, and that niche was Executive Council. Lee
- 10:35confidant is the name of my company, I became a confidant, a
- 10:40private confidant to some of the most powerful people in the
- 10:44world. And now here I am, 25 years later, living my dream,
- 10:49running my own companies speaking all over the world,
- 10:53authoring books, and the light is still with me. So I prayed
- 10:58never leaves.
- 11:01Alan Carroll: That's a wonderful, wonderful story.
- 11:03coach Ron, that's very, very illuminating is a word to
- 11:08describe it. It's like being touched by the light and allow
- 11:11the light to transmit through you. And in the Course of
- 11:15Miracles, which I think that you're familiar with, we might
- 11:17have mentioned, on in Los Gatos talk talks about the
- 11:23Unknown: Marianne Williamson fact, we just met at a party and
- 11:26she asked me to endorse her for the presidency. I, I didn't know
- 11:30what to say, Alan, I was so honored. But yes, I in fact, I
- 11:34brought up her book, and she looked at me like, it's been 30
- 11:38years since right 20 a while since I've been a while
- 11:42Alan Carroll: I'm 70 was the 70s. I think it first first came
- 11:45out, sir, almost 50 years. And one of the things is that you
- 11:50remind me of is God cannot do for you what God cannot do
- 11:55through you. And to allow yourself to have the audacity to
- 12:01claim to be a spokesperson for the Lord, a spokesperson for my
- 12:05office, a spokesperson for the Holy Spirit. And to be able to
- 12:10have that, that that clear. It's not it's not Yes. It's not
- 12:15faking it. It's clear experiential in my body kind of
- 12:20in this moment, and to be able to illuminate the dark, sir. And
- 12:28we talked about corporations and corporate folks have a
- 12:34tremendous opportunity to be able to use the organization's
- 12:39to disseminate. I'll call it the light, why they why they're
- 12:44doing the business. And I'm wondering, yes, what you do to
- 12:49uncork that bottle of spirituality into the corporate
- 12:53boardrooms?
- 12:56Unknown: Well, it's a very powerful question. I think deep
- 12:58within that we have to remember these are natural people living
- 13:00supernatural lives. I always tell people that I said, you
- 13:04know, you live a very supernatural life, you just
- 13:05don't realize it yet. I said, the mere fact that you exist out
- 13:09of all the sperm that went into that egg, the millions that had
- 13:12the opportunity to penetrate here you are with a template and
- 13:16that template starts with a DNA strand. I said Make no mistake
- 13:19about it. There's no mistaking you even to the aborted to the
- 13:23child who was almost aborted, you know, there's no mistake
- 13:26because you you feel like you were born out of wedlock.
- 13:29There's no mistake. And I've learned this through the path of
- 13:32gods and unconditional love Alan, which is a vital force
- 13:38that mankind is looking for. Yet, here's the beautiful part
- 13:42about it. We don't need to have that mastered in order to give
- 13:45it we do have traces of it. We we give traces of it. We give
- 13:54traces of this unconditional love, which is Love is patient
- 13:58love is kind it's not jealous, angry, boastful, proud or rude.
- 14:02I mean, look, the template is set. You just got to read the
- 14:04manuscript. You know, First Corinthians 13 is very clear, on
- 14:09really what love is. And I had a major wake up call behaviorally
- 14:15around the spirit of arrogance, conceit, pride, which are all
- 14:22spiritual matters. These are behavioral traits, but man,
- 14:26they're wit down into the gut or the soul of man, which the soul
- 14:32as you know, Alan is mind will and emotions, mind will and
- 14:36emotions is so a lot of spiritual people get this
- 14:38confused. Then again, my manuscript is you know, we swear
- 14:42to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, lock,
- 14:44stock and barrel, that Bible and it's very clear about it the
- 14:47soul is different than the spirit and the spirit is
- 14:50different than the body. We I like to say we are spiritual
- 14:54people having an earthly experience not earthly people
- 14:57having spiritual experiences.
- 15:00Alan Carroll: Yes, sir, let that sink
- 15:01Unknown: in for a second. You know, I'm a spiritual being on
- 15:05the earth having an earthly experience, how do I facilitate
- 15:09that? And the business side is very, very important because the
- 15:15higher of a spiritual person you are, the more of a mandate, you
- 15:19have to bring resources into the earth. I believe that I'm
- 15:22convinced of it. I think wealth has been misappropriated in the
- 15:26hands of corrupt people. And here are the sweet, gentle
- 15:30people like yourself, who are doing well for yourself. But we
- 15:34have the ability to do even better, Alan, we have the
- 15:37ability to reach new economical spheres that we never dreamed
- 15:42up. And it's important that we remind ourselves of these. When
- 15:47I begin to talk like this, I attract the business sector
- 15:50because their language is all about renumeration. That how can
- 15:55we be compensated? How can we get an ROI? And when they pull
- 16:00me in to do that? I recenter them and realign them to say,
- 16:05talk to me about what the real power is behind what you're
- 16:09trying to do. And when you peel back those layers, you see more
- 16:13good than bad. At least I do. I don't see I don't see I don't
- 16:17see the darkness too much anymore. And that's because
- 16:20light, light does attract light, light does attract darkness as
- 16:23well. But when you're really an advocate of championing light,
- 16:26you will reciprocate, we call it the law of reciprocity, right?
- 16:31The the law of sowing and reaping. We you know, we see
- 16:35this through the whole movement of the secret, they actually
- 16:38took Galatians four, and they opened it up to a level I tell
- 16:43the church world don't Don't Don't Don't get upset at these
- 16:46people don't don't they took what God created and actually
- 16:51did something with it. And this is where my boost comes in to
- 16:54say get off your spiritual high horse. And let's get to work.
- 16:58Let's put the spiritual power to use. And that's what I'm doing
- 17:01day to day.
- 17:04Alan Carroll: As you go on,
- 17:07Unknown: if that makes sense. Yeah,
- 17:09Alan Carroll: yes. But as you were, as you were talking, I
- 17:14think of a word called the Holy Spirit. Answer I think of the
- 17:20Apostles Creed. I think the I believe in the Holy Spirit. I
- 17:27believe in the goodness of sin. I find that beautiful. When you
- 17:31start talking about I believe in the Holy Spirit, you're saying
- 17:35there's something beyond the physical. And when you say I
- 17:38believe in the forgiveness of sin, to me, that's a pathway to
- 17:42the Holy Spirit. And the pathway. Spirit is the doorway
- 17:46to salvation. And yes, sir, my question that I'm formulating
- 17:51is, my background is transpersonal psychology. And
- 17:57psychology focuses on the egoic being the egoic identity, which
- 18:03is, I would say source of suffering, and transform that
- 18:08into the being identity, which would be no resistance to what
- 18:14is. And when you get to no resistance to what is then then
- 18:18that's love. Love is unconditional space, there's no
- 18:22resistance to what you have to say. And if I have resistance,
- 18:26it stirs up the thoughts. And when the thoughts get stirred
- 18:29up, it parallels my identity. And so how do you sail through
- 18:35that, that Island have an egoic identity? And have people
- 18:40realize that they're not that they're much more the Holy
- 18:44Spirit, which is the mindfulness and being this, of the of the
- 18:50God God being? I'm not sure even how to say it. But how do you?
- 18:56How do you get that wrath from one place to the other?
- 19:01Unknown: Very, very powerful question and beautiful of
- 19:04background with you, Alan, I didn't know that. That's those
- 19:07words you're using about identification of suffering and
- 19:10the component to parallel unconditional love is a very,
- 19:13very powerful Christian aptitude, which most people do
- 19:17not understand. And that is Christ. Yet while we were yet
- 19:21sinners, corrupt, yet died for us, and that he became the
- 19:27appropriation of sin, to appropriate justification for a
- 19:35man and woman who knew him not. Yet before we even knew him, he
- 19:39loved us and gave His life for us as a ransom. And when you hit
- 19:44then you use the word redeemed, to redeem us into redemption is
- 19:49actually a financial term, right? We it means read means
- 19:53before deemed to buy back so someone had to buy us back. This
- 19:57is what I didn't catch early on in those Press. 10 years it was
- 20:00always religion is about conformity. If you don't do this
- 20:03boy, you're going to hell. And I mean, it was horrible, horrible.
- 20:08Who would ever want to serve God with this condemnation, spirit
- 20:13binding? So in answer to your question, the bridge is
- 20:17understanding when you hear him knocking, hard, not your heart.
- 20:23And that is the pivotal moment Allen, where we either induce
- 20:27pride and say, No, it's really not him, or we humble ourselves
- 20:32to the probability of God calling. I always tell great and
- 20:38powerful leaders that are seeking the face of God. Well,
- 20:41Ron, you hear from God, it's easy for you. It's not that it's
- 20:46easy. It's developed. It's It's learning to yield to the Holy
- 20:52Spirit. It's like, what was God's voice? What was Ron's
- 20:55voice, and in that yielding is a constant state of humility,
- 21:01which is the per the correct understanding of what humility
- 21:06is, it's not genuflecting before an altar and making the sound
- 21:11beautiful that you do that, or, you know, hands together and we
- 21:16bow and martial arts are here. You know, we we use the word
- 21:20peace, peace, be you know, Namaste, Namaste. And those are
- 21:26elements of humility. But the real root of Humility is saying,
- 21:31I don't know everything. And there could be something more.
- 21:36And it's right at that moment. When you hear him knocking, you
- 21:40hear broadcasts like this, he's knocking. He's calling us back
- 21:46to say, just accept, don't resist. And Alan, I think it's
- 21:52in that moment, that the human psyche, then begins to move into
- 21:56a new space of neurological adaptation. That is a fancy way
- 22:00of saying your brain begins to fire do tu Tu, Tu, Tu, tu tu
- 22:03synaptic connections that you even, you know, we got 100
- 22:07billion of these things. I wrote it about it in my book. So where
- 22:10are they retiring and rewiring, you know, they're either
- 22:13rewiring to more labor and hustle, which by the way, I hate
- 22:17that word hustle. Or it's rewiring to more of a
- 22:19conscientiousness, higher state of consciousness to where we are
- 22:25more in a state of bliss, calm. And as the Holy Spirit would
- 22:29say, Peace, internal peace, if that makes sense. Oh, yeah,
- 22:33transition sum that up is humility. I believe. That's my
- 22:38belief. Yeah,
- 22:41Alan Carroll: the I find that in the in, and my knowledge of the
- 22:50Bible is this, your knowledge is like that. So but I know a
- 22:54little I know a little because it's a boy scout, you have to
- 22:58get the Purple Heart. And the Purple Heart. Christian merit is
- 23:02a Christian metal. And part of the Purple Heart was to memorize
- 23:07some of the key passages from the Bible. And you do it, you
- 23:11know, yeah. However, I went back. And I started to look at
- 23:16those passages. Here I am in my 70s. And beautiful, and the last
- 23:23night 23rd song. Yes, me, makes me to lie down in green
- 23:31pastures. leadeth me beside the still waters. And I said, Okay,
- 23:37what does that mean? I went into the method, it has to do with
- 23:39coming to rest, and allowing the Lord God to take care of you.
- 23:44And for me, that means surrender. And when you talk
- 23:48about humility, you talk about the ego, it talks about the ego.
- 23:52What the ego does not do is surrender. Yes, the ego is
- 23:56defending its point of view, not surrendering its point of view.
- 23:59And for me to surrender, my point of view would be a
- 24:03describe it as in A Course of Miracles, it talks about if I,
- 24:08why can't I surrender my point of view, and they say it entails
- 24:14an unfair sacrifice of my righteous wrath. And somehow, I
- 24:21believe, and I believe you believe it, that we have to get
- 24:24beyond the ego, which is self centered, to get to the being or
- 24:28the Holy Spirit or the mindfulness state of
- 24:30consciousness, which is, which is centered on the we're all
- 24:35together. I am. I am that love that you're talking about? Yes.
- 24:41Yes, very
- 24:42Unknown: good point. In fact, the Bible alludes to that, that
- 24:44we're all one body. And so it's important for us to recognize
- 24:49that there's something bigger going on here. So how I like to
- 24:52have these discussions now in this postmodern world era is
- 24:55like, okay, let's just put all the swords on the table, and
- 24:58just really talk about what To the ultimate need here. I mean,
- 25:02me being a cognitive behavioral expert. You know, Mike Mike, one
- 25:06of my tech companies helps people understand cognitive,
- 25:12emotional intelligence. So we're all governed by the same 24
- 25:15behavioral traits, conscientiousness, ambition,
- 25:18endurance, self confidence, composure, etc, etc. But at the
- 25:23end of the day, we all have families, we all bleed crimson,
- 25:27we all cry, we all have emotions, we all want to be
- 25:31loved. And I find that in business, probably the number
- 25:35one request I get is, How do I stay at peace? I'm believing for
- 25:42millions of dollars on my bottom line, My guts are at a mess, My
- 25:46blood pressure's high, my cholesterol is high, the body is
- 25:50sending the signals. And so when I say put all the swords on the
- 25:54table, let's not talk dogma, as much as we talk, how do we
- 25:59handle life's vicissitudes? How do we better ourselves to help
- 26:05you be better? How can I better me so I can obviously help you.
- 26:12And it may not be through counsel or coaching or
- 26:15therapists or people like in our trade, but having a calm
- 26:19disposition, knowing that the power of God Almighty and the
- 26:25integrity of his word can support me when I have no way
- 26:30out, is unbelievably phenomenal. It's phenomenal. Alan, if and we
- 26:37do this in business, we call them covenant agreements, we
- 26:40signed contracts. Well, I always joke with my Jewish friends. I
- 26:44had a great Jewish attorney for many years. And I you know, when
- 26:48we met, you know, I told him, You believe in Jehovah, he goes,
- 26:50Oh, yeah, we've served them for years. He goes, he's a wealthy
- 26:52God. That's why every Jew that I meet as wealthy, it's
- 26:56unbelievable. Why, you know, when you really talk to them, a
- 27:00lot of them have dogma, but there's another side that they
- 27:02don't even, it's just part of their DNA. They say, Well, if
- 27:05it's in red, it's what he said, you know, they kind of they kind
- 27:09of have this little chip, like, wait a minute, what do you mean?
- 27:12Well, he said, God's god of integrity, they put it down to
- 27:1566 books, you wrote it down New Testament is the the new
- 27:19contract, and I go, wow, it's a contract. And, you know, I like
- 27:24to do my Italian voice. You know, I think God made me an
- 27:26offer, I couldn't refuse. You know, when he came to me, he
- 27:29goes, I'll put it in black and white. I'll write it down lock,
- 27:33stock and barrel. And for a guy like me, who didn't grow up with
- 27:37those, like a governor, you got to have a governor in your life,
- 27:41you've got to have a series of instruments around you. Because
- 27:46if you don't, you'll be easily persuaded, you know, move. So So
- 27:51I took the Bible as a instrument, and a contract. And
- 27:56I said, Well, if you put it in black and white, I'm looking to
- 28:00be a man of integrity. I never had that. Just still working on
- 28:04it. I want to be a man of my word. And I found that God is
- 28:08the God of the word. He is the Word made flesh, man, you cannot
- 28:14separate him. So when you start living your life from a place of
- 28:19someone's genuinely got my back, despite how I'm treated, despite
- 28:24how I treat others, just let me say this first, despite my
- 28:28behaviors or my sins, it's unconditional. It's at that
- 28:32point, you are automatically humbled. It's overwhelming. You
- 28:38literally have nothing else to say, but praise the Lord. Thank
- 28:44You, Lord. It's just an automatic. If that piece doesn't
- 28:48drop 12 inches from the head to your heart, it stays in
- 28:52information, it does not become revelation. And Revelation is
- 28:57the key Alan, to manifestation. We all know it's true. Because
- 29:02we didn't know the law of reciprocity until we had a
- 29:05revelation of it. You got to take the cash out of your
- 29:07pocket, go give it to someone else. And watch it reciprocate.
- 29:11Coming back to you. Theory only takes you so far. application.
- 29:17Application is the principle of wisdom, the application of
- 29:21knowledge. Proverbs four is wisdom at its highest level. And
- 29:26as you begin to slowly apply, just the right thinking. Ie I'm
- 29:33open to this. All right, Lord, speak to him speak to me like he
- 29:37spoke to Ron, speak to me like he spoke to Alan. It begins this
- 29:41new neurological adaptation, where he's able to speak and
- 29:47boy, he doesn't.
- 29:51Alan Carroll: You talked about practice, and the need to
- 29:55reinforce and what I like to do before we complete today His
- 30:00podcast is I'd like you to imagine the audience is
- 30:03listening. And what is a practice that they could do on a
- 30:08daily basis, let's say five minutes, because that's part of
- 30:11the problem with practices. Well, it takes you two hours,
- 30:14knowing ain't gonna happen. But for five minutes just to just to
- 30:18plant a seed, and see if they can cultivate that seed over
- 30:22time that is sustainable. But what would you suggest that they
- 30:26do in order to achieve that, that letting go state of humble
- 30:32and also faith, it's the faith that the Lord will take care of
- 30:37us?
- 30:38Unknown: This right. That's a very, very powerful question. 30
- 30:42years in practice, out of my own personal stash, that I'm doing
- 30:49now, and I wish someone would have told me this early on. It's
- 30:53found in Joshua one nine, it's very clear, it's in black and
- 30:56whites the integrity of his word, he said, If which the word
- 31:01if is is a preposition, it means on the condition that so this is
- 31:05strictly a measure of the human will, things that we can do. If
- 31:10you meditate on my word, night and day, you will be prosperous
- 31:16in all you do. If you meditate on my word, night, and day, you
- 31:24will be prosperous and all you do. That word all really got me
- 31:30right between the eye because I said, Well, God, you said all he
- 31:33said I sure did. And Alan for the last couple of years, not
- 31:37even, not even in the last 10 Maybe in the last five. I never
- 31:42put meditation at the top of my list. But man, I'm walking my 13
- 31:48year old little boy through it now. I said, Come on, baby.
- 31:51Let's bow our head and find one scripture in the Bible. This is
- 31:57a time tested book. This is not coach Ron and we got a lot of
- 32:01books, but my books aren't nearly as good as the main book.
- 32:04Just go to the main book. And I always recommend starting
- 32:07Proverbs. Proverbs is the wisdom of dealing with business, or
- 32:11other people and then Psalms like you were reading from Psalm
- 32:1423. Allen is about dealing with ourselves, calming ourselves,
- 32:19and find one of them. For instance, my personal stash
- 32:22right now is Ephesians. One, you're gonna love this one night
- 32:26and day, my little 13 year old hasn't memorized. I says, Father
- 32:30of the Lord Jesus Christ. So it's acknowledging God, right,
- 32:33you got the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. So it's acknowledging
- 32:37God, Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, Father of glory, given
- 32:40to me the spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of
- 32:45you very key, so that the eyes of my heart are flooded with
- 32:50light, that I would come to know the hope of your calling,
- 32:54please. And we go to sleep. We wake up in the morning, Father
- 32:59of glory, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the
- 33:02knowledge of you so that the eyes of my heart are flooded
- 33:05with light helped me to be a blessing to all my clients
- 33:07today, my family, my children, give me strength where I'm weak.
- 33:12And you know, man, I'm telling you, I have had two more
- 33:16encounters with them. Two more, or I saw him face to face. And
- 33:22when I put up on YouTube, says Kardashian has encountered with
- 33:25Christ I mean, man, this is, this is, this is a love message
- 33:30where he is he, you know, Alan, all throughout history all the
- 33:34way back to the Garden of Eden. God has always taken a man or a
- 33:38woman to work his method. I don't know why he does this on
- 33:41he could he could appear to the whole world all at once. Why
- 33:45does he take frail little flawed men like us? I'll say myself,
- 33:50because I'm such a work in progress. And why does he take
- 33:53imperfect people in work is perfect plan. And for the life
- 33:58of me, I still don't know. But I'm constantly humbled, like you
- 34:03said, just take it wrong, and just just be humble about it and
- 34:07just keep going. I think that's the rub. And when we meditate,
- 34:12it keeps us in balance, keeps us in good balance.
- 34:16Alan Carroll: I find that the meditation is one of the sayings
- 34:20that you have to go in to get out. If you want to escape from
- 34:25that prison of sin, we'll call it sin, that prison of
- 34:28suffering. It's going inside and allowing that calmness through
- 34:34meditation to happen. So it begins it begins you begins to
- 34:37create mental stability, emotional stability. So when the
- 34:42events happen in the outer world, you don't react anymore,
- 34:45you're able to take a pause, take a breath. Can I keep myself
- 34:51relaxed and still operating the levers? What's going on in order
- 34:55to produce the result? Or am I or am I agitated and defending
- 34:58my point of view and use Do that. And then after that, well
- 35:01your skill is going to be farm sailing. So I'm, I'm excited to
- 35:06hear that you talk about meditation so much. So coach
- 35:09Ron, I want to, I want to just, you know, thank you and give you
- 35:13a chance to say anything else you'd like to say, especially
- 35:16how we can contact you, and what's the title of the book.
- 35:19And also, we'll all your contact information will be in the show
- 35:24notes. So all that information you sent me.
- 35:28Unknown: Great. Well, thank you. I'd be honored to assist in any
- 35:32of your listeners, whatever you need. We have a beautiful
- 35:34practice here. And in Los in Silicon Valley, Los Gatos, we
- 35:38met but we're right here in Silicon Valley, right down the
- 35:41street from Facebook, and Twitter and Instagram and all
- 35:44the biggest companies in the world. It's such an honor to
- 35:46live here. But I just in closing notes, I want to make a comment
- 35:49about the sign that you have above your head here. My right
- 35:53probably your left, the power of the pause, which Alan I really
- 35:57commend you for saying that fact I write about it in my book, Dr.
- 36:01Daniel Amon, of course, the the famous psychologist who wrote
- 36:05Change Your Brain, Change Your body. He endorsed my book and
- 36:08did the entire forward. He said something very powerful,
- 36:12alluding to the pause. And he said, if you put into practice
- 36:16coach Ron's book to help you develop new brain pathways that
- 36:19will enhance impulse control, focus and forethought. And I was
- 36:25so honored that you had this PhD, who would actually
- 36:29authenticate my thesis in 30 seconds. And to your point,
- 36:35that's all it takes to pause to respond before you react. And I
- 36:42talk about in the book How, right here in my neighborhood, a
- 36:47gentleman decided to react to incoming traffic and not wait.
- 36:53And Alan he killed a little girl right down the street from where
- 36:56we were on impact. Because he did not hit his own internal
- 37:02pause button and her him and her daddy were crossing the street
- 37:06going to school and he killed the little girl. That man in
- 37:101/32 decision has three, let me repeat 330 year life sentences
- 37:18that all could have been avoided if we just had the tools.
- 37:24Alan Carroll: Thank you, coach Ron, you're an inspiration.
- 37:27You're a gift to the world. And thank you for all that you do to
- 37:30reduce the suffering of we all feel and to bring us up and to
- 37:34allow us to have that experience of mindfulness and be closer to
- 37:39the Lord.
- 37:41Unknown: Thank you, sir.
- 37:42Alan Carroll: And you as well. Thank you. God bless you, Alan.
- 37:45All right.
