- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: This is Jeff Anis.

- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I am spends rejoining this week with Todd Todd, hello and the Green Bay Packers are officially in the playoffs after a Can you give a single word to describe the game on Sunday?
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say, I want to say a fancy word for it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't matter.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's great word.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Packers are now 97 and one, right?
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: 97 and one.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: We are the seven seed and the NFC and happy new year.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: What a year, right?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what a year.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's been amazing so far.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: How's your new year?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's warming up a little bit.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's not super cold.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm already supreme on Saturday.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was good.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was present.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Marty supreme the movie?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: No idea what that is.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, god.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: You'll have under up.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got that up with the kids.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Timothy Shalame.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: I know who that is.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the dude from the sand people.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, very good.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you do know your movies.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Packer.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, I am hit with the kids.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: Packer Viking game about the least event full, least important Packer regular season Packer game.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is since 2018, the which was also a Packer line game to end the season.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the last one under Joel Filbin, who is the interim coach.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Roger's got a concussion and the packer is lost to the Lions 31 to 0.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think Pat McAfee was on the call and the Kicker through a touchdown or something in that game.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: God, I forgot to use to call games to see he doesn't call games anymore I don't think so.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think he just does the college football shed
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's right.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, well, this episode will briefly go over that stupid game Take news.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna talk about Luke Buckis, the offensive line coach, you know, it seems random But will these said something is interesting about him and his job security?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about metal floor his contract stuff along with how John Harba, Jim Harba, John Harba, leaving How that might affect the Packers stop spending Packers trivia, and then we will have a extensive
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Preview of the Packard's Bears playoff game only the fourth in the history of the two franchises that have been around for like what 105 years or some shit at this point So should be interesting.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad we're playing were you were you watching the late games on Sunday and going Oh, and the Eagles were winning and the bears were losing
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I actually turned it on right as the commanders went back up and then the lions were getting ready to kick fuel.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I tuned in at the right time where it was not nerve-racking at all.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because for a while there didn't look good and I told myself I'm like, okay.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: If I can only control the outcome of one of these two, I want the commanders to win.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: Just so that the bears can have a two game losing streak and yeah, they did not look good.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: They had their normal fourth quarter, no points of then 16 points in the fourth quarter.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Come back late, Cardiac Caleb as they call the guy.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we have very catchy.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: But this game will breeze through it.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, again, what was the score?
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: 16, 2, 3, nice that we had some points for the show.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what was your thought on the late time out there?
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: S like fucking pants were pissed.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: I, I feel like that's the only reason you do it is you call the time out just to just to make people mad, just like just to spite other people, like that's the only reason you do that, right?
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: You don't care about kicking the field well, I, I do get it for like, you don't want it to go down in the history books that you were shut out in a game, right?
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess that is, that's what it is, it's that.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's just for, like, the optics is basically all it's for.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yeah.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: I was maybe not to spite Viking fans, although I think there might be a little bit of that.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: Kevin O'Connell apparently was, I don't think he was upset, but he did say post game that if they got the ball back, they were gonna have Harrison Smith and CJ Hamm back there for the kneel down apparently.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, I think you had enough of the ovations that they showed, which was fine.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: That was nice right.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: He came off the field with like five minutes left in the game.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he coming off the field now?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: What was the significance?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that's what they usually do for players last games.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: You call it time out.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: They come out.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're the only player that comes out of the game.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone knows it's a thing and then everyone starts watching.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's why they do it.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't even realize that was the thing.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to remember if I've ever seen that before.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, I don't know if you have.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you've had do of.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the Packers have done that and the Packers have done it.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Packers have done it.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: What have the Packers done it?
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Not Randall.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody retires a Packer anyway.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: So we just trained away.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very good point.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: Be out.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: We're week two leading up to what the Packers made.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Literally 25 roster moves since we last had a podcast.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, it was an odd number.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: It was at least 25 different moves, especially this week too, or today with a couple of the roster moves, which we'll talk about here, along with signing or claiming Trayvon Diggs, which is fun, and we'll talk about him a little bit later.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the last thing on the time, I wish we would have just at least tried to throw a ball to the end zone, but I think LeFlor was even being so conservative.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't want to attempt passes because you're probably more likely to get hurt on a play like that, at least with a receiver self there.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then you've got him.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: Or like Clayton Tune gets hurt and then you've got to put Jordan Law then because he's the backup quarterback.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yes, but did you hear what LeFlor said post game to?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: That they weren't kind of throw the ball at all.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that he would go out there and just hand the ball.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was funny when they kept going to blood on the sideline too.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: And he looked like he didn't want to be there.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: It was funny too, because he had his helmet on so that he could listen to the play calls.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, OK, yeah, I get it.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: Matt, you wanted me to go through the whole game day experience.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not rusty, but either way, I'm in our to glad that we went with the rest.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: Instead of the, you know, a thousand years game game doesn't matter.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing to gain by doing this.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: it sucks that you have a game in the middle like at the end of the season where you just like nothing happens it's essentially a preseason game right smack dab and beginning to play offs but like whatever
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't, I don't like going into the playoffs cold, right?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're going to go in cold, this is the way to go in.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: You might as well have to get people.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like get Zack Tom healthy, right?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's worth it in itself.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: Especially with the early buy that we had this year as well.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would hopefully be very, very beneficial.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, the floor was a little scarred from last year when.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: a Jordan love you remember he hit his elbow and he couldn't really grip the ball well and then Christian Watson obviously tearing his heels and that's what I was thinking I forgot about the Jordan love elbow thing
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, he was like limited and practice the weekly nut, but yeah, this game I'm clicking tune terrible six for eleven thirty four yards net negative seven he was sacked four times did you hear that bit to the pre game?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: The production crew said that we'll floor when up to four is and big term to take it easy on tune.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was pretty
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: And he said that?
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I wrote it down because I'm like, I swear to God, that's what he said.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Unless they were saying, I I hope you went up and said that, but either way that I believe that was like an actual cool.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: I could be wrong.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, I don't know tune fucking terrible.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: He had a cool QB sweet play other than that terrible elongated motion blah blah blah.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: My original question was do you think he'll compete for QB 2 next year?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: We have since caught him.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: I assume we'll bring him back on the practice squad and Desmond River got called up to the 53 so he'll probably be our emergency third string quarterback on Sunday.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, do you even need to talk about quarterback there?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think you think Desmond River is going to be worth anything?
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, be better than Clayton too.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I wonder if he'll be back for training camp next year or if Goody makes some type of offseason trade for 7th round picking get someone like Anthony Richards Center.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, some other quarterback that is flamed out somewhere else.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Who who was the dude that I loved for a few years back with a big arm, I think you went to the paths as the back of it.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, Milton.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think he had some snaps of this past week too.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: Joe, you got traded to the cowboys.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: I want Joe.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: Joe, well, I don't it would be something if you got traded for a second straight off season and he has three different teams in three years without getting cut.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's just expanding his brain with all those different playbooks.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: Running backs not good.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: Minimal Wilson lost 19 yards on that one run pretty impressive It was the first rush for negative.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was 18 or 19.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what it was But it was the biggest loss by running back on a rushing place.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's 2000 and 7 I'll play that wasn't like a bad stand with something broken He did finish with a 2.4 average Chris Brooks a 4.7 Chris Brooks at 13 carries Wilson had 18
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, here's a thought for you.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you want the number two back to be for the playoffs?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think a manual.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I'm all in on Brooks now.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: I am done with the manually.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it's not even that.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, the past month he hasn't been very good.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he had that one really good game against the Vikings, but other than that, he's been very black.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and especially Jacob's coming back, I think we're going to hit the draft, decently hard at running back with one Josh Jacobs.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this year he was so banged up.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting older, March on Lloyd.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, we don't know if he exists.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Manwo Wilson's just fine.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Brooks is like a journeyman.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, he can pass block, he can catch passes, he can run just fine.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather have them out, help them out there than a manwo Wilson at this point.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine like I like Brooks and like for sure passing situation slash two minute right like right I think he's great for that but like if Josh Jacobs goes down I want to make you a Wilson running the ball not Chris Brooks and yeah I there's just no flair like there's no flair like Chris Brooks doesn't he'll get what's there yeah like he's not breaking a tackle
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he's not running around anybody like it's he might just different athletically He might have had more carries in this game that and he had the rest of the season combined You know the 13 in this so I don't know I just I don't think Wilson is a bad game for Wilson.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Wilson gives you that juice Neither of them give you any juice But but I think the floor is so much higher on Chris Brooks's play the Nman bulls and especially in the playoffs You just don't want to make music.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean Brooks is the best pass blocking running back
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't know.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: There's been times during the season, though that a manual Wilson runs better between the tackles and Josh.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, when Josh is dead or something, I mean, there's been like, no, one or two games were games.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: There's games were like, Josh is doing too much laterally, and it's just like, I'm just saying between the tackles.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: Fair.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: Fair.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're wrong, but I understand.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Anything to take away from the offensive line here, mostly backup.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Jordan Morgan was in the whole game, though, correct.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: He did not look good.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: He, he was fine.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: He was fine.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: He, he, people either thought he was bad or good.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, there doesn't seem to be much of an in-between.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think he was fine.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he let up the sack on like a blitzing safety, which might not have even been his guy.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's that other one where the game were the titan chipped and Morgan like it again wasn't his guy either so I don't know he I think he grazed out pretty well to sack to Dallas Turner of Dallas Turner's untouched what ran right around him I think that might be the one the dabney was responsible for.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so he that might have been him right exactly.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think it was him at left Jackal, but Dabney was the tight end who was like matched up straight up on him.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: I It doesn't I don't think we need this matter.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that was my only comment.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's like during Morgan Public shit at left tackle.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was fine Two weeks in a row playing tackle like some people are asking for Morgan to start at left tackle in the playoffs
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: that I've seen on Twitter who have like podcast and shit.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so maybe I just looked at, I don't know.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, when he looked up to see a left tackle, give, and then there's a sack.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I mean, there were two that were coming off of his edge, but I don't think they were his responsibility, especially like, oh, tune got, tune got sacked on that one, but I think that was a play where he, it was a wide receiver screen, and he's supposed to get it out like immediately.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: So it, so it was like a broken play essentially.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure that's what we're talking about here.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Jacob Monke played fine too at center.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: He actually played pretty well for how bad he's been in the past.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Unlike last year when Josh Myers got hurt, I think I'd feel fine if Monke maybe not fine, but I'd feel better than what we did last year when Josh Myers went down and fucking, I don't even remember who came in anywhere.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: It might have been Elton, but then he got hurt and then someone else came in.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he was shunny.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it was.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can't remember.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember being a shit show.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's a couple things and then a Belton played fine too.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, injury stuff, safety's, I mean, Catinal Adapo, he dropped that one easy safety, whatever.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, how old were you and you saw bored?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Go down.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, I guess, worried because I love him, but at the same time, it's like that's like the one position Hobbes is good at.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: Well, of the people to get, well, hard pubs is on the IR.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: That was another really, yes.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he, unless we go to the Super Bowl, I don't think we're seeing eight Hobbes again.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: well then yes super worried okay good good catch yeah a lot of people really pissed especially your boy Rodney and then I looked at the roster literally behind like the starting group it was katanoladapo Jonathan Baldwin um alien simpson shemar barthalamu al-bolmelton and trevon digs and then
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: Milton got hurt, so it's like we literally couldn't like feel a full team in the secondary, depending on what package they were in.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: So, I thought it was fine.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God he came out fine.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: Bulmelton, he got hurt.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: He in a walk through today.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: He was a non-pertspint.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: So he's, I'm going to guess he's going to be questionable or probably not play in this game, which,
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: It could mean something playing in Chicago and Daniel Will and Punting, I think it's going to be a big field position game, so I wouldn't be surprised if that has some type of effect on there.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like all the Wendy City, you know, on sick one of the defense here, I mean, J. Jim McCarthy, again, that fucking guy.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: What did you think at the penalty on that first drive of the game where he goes out of balance, he's deforms Tyron Hopper,
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: Kishan sticks and like hits him out of bounds of then he he comes up and is like John out on the rough poles of a way He like tries to get around the rough or whatever and then later He hurts his hand.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's on the silent he puts like a fucking cowl over the hand and shit He is just something
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I, I honestly don't know what to think about him because like on one hand, like you, you like, like if you're a Vikings fan, you like seeing your quarterback run somebody over and get fired up to some extent, like maybe if it's starting quarterback, you're a little worried about it, but like
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: I like the fire, but then it's also like he kind of takes it too far where you're like okay what what do we do in here like he's you ran over a was it a corner Who was it that he ran over right for next to a topper's who we stepped on to the Nixon kind of got bodied when going out about
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was pretty disappointed in Hopper for not just absolutely laying them out because I feel like that I felt like that was coming and then honestly to run over Nixon Nixon's a pretty pretty tough for a corner, but still like you ran over a corner you're like six five
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: 244 hours he he he so pitch made at the end of last year when the season was over Kevin O'Connell said that JJ is the franchise quarterback and when asked about JJ Going into the next year after the game Kevin O'Connell is like non-committal about help He's like oh, I hope my blah blah blah blah, but it's like, well, we'll see what the likes do this off season
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people say molyk wills is gonna go to the Vikings and I just don't think he fits that system as well as others might think I don't know Yeah, I hope he doesn't cuz I love Blake right?
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: It would be a bummer to root against him guys up front line backers and edge players I mean, Surrell great game, you know, he's a guy we kind of talked about all year having a full a lot of snaps here had a huge stop on third and short Shoulda block and we have a tackle with backfield.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: He also had a sack
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: But again, really, really good game it felt like, Colin Oliver, his first action, two pressures in his first three reps that I saw.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: He finished with four Bretton Cox, was a second lake on getting a sack on JJ McCarthy's blind side, but he got rid of the ball.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: Then of course, later in the game, he has that sack force fumble on Brazmann, Cyril picks up the ball.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: That was the most like preseason play of all time.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and like you mentioned Tyron Hopper was meant, I mean, Jamon Johnson, the practice squad call up was almost more impressive than Hopper in this game, but not a lot to talk about there.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sorrell Cox calling all of her, do you think they played well enough where we've seen enough from them that they should get more stamps in the playoffs here?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's enough.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I would say like Sorrell, I maybe Cox, I don't know.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: For what for what Bretton Cox like could be I'm always just like I want to see more of him because I feel like it's there and we just like don't use him enough for him to like get hot And just the way Gary's playing it just makes you feel like you could put anybody in there and just generate more rush
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe I maybe with yeah, maybe maybe Cox maybe all three, I don't know, just more than what they've got in the past, which obviously all of her hasn't this is his first game, but which he was he's fun to watch he is small like a shit off the line.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's small, but yeah, we'll see I wouldn't be surprised if Colin Oliver is even inactive in this first round of the plants, especially going up against a runtime if we're going up a past team I could see us making him active having another past rush or maybe do some of that yeah what do we call it not psycho not NASCAR what is it this year what were they calling it well, psycho NASCAR what's the other one?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it may be a pop-up later, but I don't know.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think though he's like, do you think Colin Oliver's fast enough to chase down?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know because he, there was even a play where J. J. McCurthy kind of got away from him this week.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: He did, he did chase down a little screen pass on the opposite side of the field.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: That was impressive too.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I think more than anything, anything again.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's good that he got some snaps when it seemed like the season was going to be a whole lot of nothing.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we couldn't quite register him.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: Ben Sims had a catch in this game, the former Packer, Ben Sims revenge game.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: He was elated after the game.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then the only other thing to really talk about is Daniel wheeling.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: Great game.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people were reporting at first that it was the most put yards in Packer's history.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: However, that stat was incorrect.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was not the most.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: He had that one that he pinned and bow-melt like downed it at the two, I was like bow-one, you just let it bounce another yard before you downed it.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: They were all standing right there, but I'm probably being a little too harsh.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then wheel and did finish the season with the highest net and gross punting for a packer in the history of the franchise.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: He actually finished with the highest average in the NFL on punts at 51.7 and was fourth and net with 44.3 so pretty good.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: you're out of wheel and you can see all pro did you I was saying it's you see justice yeah skaters tweet he like make wheel and all pro you you coward he texted one of his like rider buddies who has a vote and he was like hey did you put your voting yet wheel it make wheel and all pro that was another text that he or tweet that he had out there too that's funny
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then the only other thought I had in this game.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was hilarious that the commentator got which guy it was So that floor is can learn a lot from KLC on how to handle Coaching up a young quarterback Again, I just thought that was hilarious because that was like the worst part of Kevin O'Connell's job all year was not getting McCarthy ready and now I mean they're going into the offseason looking to find competition for him So I just thought that was
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: such a stupid comment and it makes sense for a, you know, I mean, that was like the worst game on Sunday and the CBS or whoever didn't really care who they had commenting like this crew said some dumb things.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to remember what the other thing was, but it just wasn't like, I don't the play by play wasn't awful.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's good.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: He had a voice.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but like, when I must have been David Archoleta, who was talking, which, I mean,
- 22:15[SPEAKER_02]: What did I say?
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: You said David.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: David.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: Is that like a, yeah, if we talked about that, actually, yeah, American Idol.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the two.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, it's one of them.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: David are to let it is.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: He just like he would just say things and I'm like, What is I you talking about?
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I don't agree with that at all.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't mind it because the game is so boring.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: I was fine with them talking about stupid things.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: But when they're like someone, I can't remember any of the example, but like some of the stuff he said, I was like, that's not even true.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: There were a few things like that.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: With that, we will have a quick commercial break.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back and we are back with take news for the week.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hell.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Should I, we'll, we'll play the drop here.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: But ball time.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_05]: Take news.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: All right, take news for the week.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, because we talked about the game so briefly It's like how do I how do I position out the segments?
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's a very tough thing to run the podcast I'm always thinking about that when I'm on the pod Take news just some coaching stuff to talk about again I know we're going into the playoffs here and what we're gonna mostly talk about that But there were a couple interesting things that popped up
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: One, Jason Willdy, talked a little bit about Luke Buckis, and we're going to talk about it here because I found it quite interesting.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: Basically, we might be moving on from Luke Buckis, the offensive line coach after this season.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: How do you think we like ranked out offensive line-wise for like past blocking and run blocking?
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: each.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: This is like PFF, it was like, uh, not a, not a malcomation, uh, aggregate, it's just a couple of things put together here.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, just give you a ranking.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say middle of the road.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: Probably like 14th for past blocking sure.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, past blocking was pretty good.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: I would I would say run blockings, probably middle.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: I thought we're doing overall.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Has blocking probably like 10th run blocking.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, maybe like 16 17th.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: So we were, and this is like PFF, some other stuff, some pressure rate things.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: We were ranked 28th in pass blocking and 25th in run blocking, which I was surprised by.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: Turn left just a good one.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: He never gets sacked.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't get sacked, but he does get pressured quite a bit.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: We did especially at the beginning of the year.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: We talked a lot about that.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: How in the pocket he's pretty good at getting out of things.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: But yes, that's what that's what the ranking say and I'm not shocked.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not shocked is kind of ridiculous.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and I'm not shocked.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm surprised And I guess you know the last couple years it has been weird to but here I will play the clip.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: This is Jason Wildy.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is on KBN on the S.B.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: No lockie, which is I don't I'll listen to his Wildy and Tauche on there and then I'll listen to like the segments that Wildy goes on on the other shows this show is terrible all those guys besides Mortman the puncher are fucking idiots, but here is the clip of Wildy talking about bookbuckus
- 25:21[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want the sound graph, but I think there's a feeling among many that they will probably go in a different direction with their offensive line coach.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_04]: I do think there's been some frustration there.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_04]: But again, I think Stennell was, I think.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_04]: before Adam cent of it moved to the offensive coordinator role.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think there was a universal feeling that he was a very good offensive wife.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't remember what year Van Lannon was drafted.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_04]: If it was 19, 20 or 21, it was a best still win.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: 20, I don't want it.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: I think he was the best people who was probably the best draft pick in that 21 class.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_03]: That they are.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't want that.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: That's not.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying much, yeah.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't wait a minute.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_03]: So what you're saying, Jason, is that Rich Massaggio may still be around, but there's some feelings that StinaVitch will be gone before Massaggio.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I think maybe they're looking at it and they need someone to have an old wily.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_04]: Again, I don't know what that looks like and there's so many things that are going to happen between now and then.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if it's on the head coach, they block the imperstaff and obviously then you don't know what the future will.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought that was interesting kind of out of nowhere too like I don't even think they pressed Maybe they brought up Cole Van Lannan earlier in that talk and that's what spurred though offensive line and the coaching and the left down to some of the players there But do you would you be for moving on from Luke Buckus?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's been I guess offensive line coach since 2022
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: I did pull up some stuff here, I was like pressure in a loud, no blitz, pressure in a time to throw and the only of like these five stats that they reference the only one where we're middle of the road is time to throw and we're tied with like eight other teams at the end of the road and the rest are pretty bad and all the other ones are like bottom.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: 25% I did not realize that it was that bad.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'm fine with it.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: The line hasn't been great the past couple years But man, I'm really surprised at how much it's falling off this year.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really know what that's a tribute to I mean obviously you had Elton go down, but Elton hasn't really looked the same either and then you've got a lot of movement on the interior and then at the same time injuries
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to give a guy a little bit of break, but I guess I don't really have a huge problem with it as long as we can get somebody that's got an OK reputation or nothing coming guy.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I mean, obviously, shoddy here, and I think a lot of the stuff was understandably like Billy Turner and the playoffs, Jared Valdeer, which actually worked out pretty well.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Rick you Agner, Rick you Agner the badger tackle he was terrible when he filled in in the playoffs But it's you know, Cole Van Lannon who we traded in 2022 That off season or that training camp at the end of it when Luke Buckus first took over He just got a three year 51 million dollar contract from the jigs So good for him Josh Myers if you remember he got an extension from the juts after starting at center for them this year
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's the whole Jordan Morgan, Sean Ryan, Elton Jenkins.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Anthony Belton of it, of not being able to figure out the offensive line combination this year.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: And we had similar issues last year.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: The Jordan Morgan at right guard and Sean Ryan and all that.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I get it.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Um, not surprise.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'm surprised because I, I would think, you know, you would literally have to put a gun to Matt's head for him to like move on from a current, especially on the offensive side of the ball, unless they're getting some type of promotion, either within the building or outside of it.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't make me think, because I hadn't thought of it until listening to it again there.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: But Jason, saying that maybe they'd look for a more old, widely, coach or whatever, James Camping the old Packers' offensive line coach, who was coach from like,
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: 2000 until 2018.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: He is working for the front office right now, and the big thing which we'll talk about here too is how cheap the Packers are I wouldn't be shocked if they're like, hey, you want to come down here and Be our offensive line coach.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he is like retired retired and doesn't want that grind But he's already living in green bay so I guess it wouldn't be shocking if something like that happened and he was like, I mean, I don't know
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like an offensive line circle's legendary.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was like for those 20 years.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it was amazing what he did year in and year out with just like seemingly not the most talented guys in the world, right?
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's kind of, we drafted, we spent capital on offensive linemen and we did, obviously, have a lot of like,
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: tackles that were highly to draft and highly touted, but like the interior was always solid and just like you know taking what was like TJ laying and sitting were like day two day three picks weren't they?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, fourth and fifth round picks, I believe, maybe sixth, even, yeah.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, even David Bocchiari, being a fourth round pick.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he marked how sure being a seventh rounder.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's been a bunch of undrafted gems, too.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I wonder what will actually happen, or if that does happen, too.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe even, maybe LaFlores forced to make some other changes.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Steno gets demoted to like offensive line coach.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: We've been bringing a new OC.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: I would be shocked by that because,
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: Stenos had some head coaching interviews, so maybe you wouldn't want to put that mark on his career, but I don't think anyone's really, you know, amazed by what Stenos done as an OC while had that title the last four years or whatever it's been.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, moving on.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: The metal floor is he going to get a new deal.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I know we've kind of talked about this a little bit this year, but and I'm shifter talked a little bit about this to saying that it might more so be money related than anything else, which is fair because he's in a really weird spot.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Again, the Packers don't spend money all that much.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they obviously do on the roster.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: They have to with a salary cap and all that.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: But when it comes to coaches, they try to be cheap.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: We've obviously talked about the special teams coach back in 2019 being unable to join the Packers because Mark Murphy didn't want to pay up for his contract.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: Metal Flores contracts when he first got hired, it was $5 million per year, which was on a low end of the scale for a first time NFL head coach, but now things have changed so much.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like Ben Johnson, albeit he was a more sought after coaching candidate, he was making 13 million per year right now, which is right at the top 10, and to look at the stats too, under his
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, mostly with Aaron Rogers, LaForement 39 and 10, 80% finishing first and then FC North with three straight first round playoff buys.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: Under his second contract now, he's 37 for 30 in one, 55% finishing second and third and the NFC North and we've been the seventh seed, three out of those four years.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Just a little interesting, especially looking at those stats again, you know, whenever it's brought up all of the packers going to fire a little floor, they're like like as winning percentage and it's like, well, when you look at his most recent winning percentage, it's not as great as it was that to be getting of his career, again, he's probably being paid outside of the top 10 right now, and I mean, if we fire them to, I mean, I know, hard block out fire today.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: but he'd probably be the number one name on the coaching market and there's really not any sexy names out there right now anyways.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: So what would you do with the floor right now if you were at policy, remember ring that he does have one year left on his current contract?
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: I would not fire the floor.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think that has been ridiculous for a while.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if, I feel like you can pay him as a top 10, I don't give him, I wouldn't give him top of the market money given the recent history, but like, it doesn't battle a lot of stuff recently.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it is disappointing to see the inconsistencies, but you also have to remind yourself, like this is the literally the youngest team in the league.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: for like the last two or three years.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're gonna have growing pains in that.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: And like finding guys and fitting them into the right spots is a challenge, especially when they're all 22, 23, 24.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's not the easiest thing in the world when you have that young barossa.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know he I don't know how much like does he did he hire halfly like I feel like that is yes That is something to be proud of like if I've in recent history like the halfly hire was amazing like I Feel like he's done an okay job with some of the coaches.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's brought over like who I guess there's a half the guy wasn't at the linebacker coach That last
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's done some good things outside of actual football field stuff too, so it's been a weird, these last few years have been a little bit weird with injuries, so I gave him a little bit of leeway on that.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: I would fire him though, that's really nice.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Especially now too, when we have this window, especially right now, whatever you think of it, and the next year is really, really, you know, because now that 2023 draft class will be in a contract to your next year,
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I would, I would try my darn dust to get a two-year extension, pay him, not whatever he wants, but it's like, what's the difference between 15 million and 20 million over two-year span, like 10 million bucks, like I think you can take that risk.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, just to make sure he's here because even if you do want to make a change, it's like, well, now is not the time to do it again.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: I would end with that extension.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: You kind of go far enough out for whatever this window is.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: So if you do want some type of break, you know, you can fire him say two or three years from now if it does go to shit.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then maybe you keep goody if you want if you keep strapped in like the way he has the last three drafts And then you can actually change that power structure which robbed him off ski mentioned a couple weeks ago I think that's the best way to do it because you can't really you know again like right now You can't change the power structure with goody and LeFlor just because you know It's been this way for seven years now with the two of them
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: So it would be very weird to all of a sudden change that do you think Ed would do that like I don't have a any read on who Ed policy is like what kind of decisions he makes, but no one is more bold And so we don't know is already I'm just saying what he has been already
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, how was so that I mean the mic up person straight.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how much you really give him credit for you know to make a statement about that like that is what I was talking about there was one report that I'm not It was it was something to just about like okaying it like I don't think okaying a trade is all that big of a deal.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he got he wasn't
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: The read between the lines and that was that Murphy had vetoed it.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was the consensus on like the reason to set this because Murphy was vetoing trades.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: There was some line that that the board had Murphy vetoed.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: But it not vetoed, but like talk it down or something.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they just didn't go on.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I mean, they offered as much as the bears who got collial Mac, you know, for the trade that we're talking about here, but I, I just, your president shouldn't be putting
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: unless you're an owner.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see kind of going along with those lines to John Harba fire today.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: Reason we're bringing that up.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: One, it does kind of change the head coaching thing.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Two, they said that there's been more teams calling about him than there are openings right now, so potentially policy, made a call.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't despise a hiring like that if you moved on I mean, well, I actually what I would hate it.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: I would I would not want to fire Matt LaFlor with how the season has gone and everything and what this roster is.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: But if it did happen, harbors kind of the guy, it makes sense.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to like a,
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: a good system, a good managing style, but it would also feel like a ultra overreaction to the special teams too.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Baltimore has always had good special teams.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Harbour was obviously a special team's coach before becoming an ad coach, 18 years with the Ravens 2, which is, it's wild.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Because wasn't it, it's him and Tomlin were the two most veteran guys, right?
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then it might be Andy Reed after that or whatever.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: But the thing that makes this interesting now is, do you think now it's more likely that halfway would return?
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: Because it sounds like that Harbal would be the front runner for the Giants job currently.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: The thing I wonder is if what if the Ravens hire halfway to replace Jim Harbal to that one shock me either.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that honestly feels like
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have a good handle.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: It does anybody have a really good handle with the landscape.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to look like here in the next week, right?
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Cause like the firings are all going to happen this week.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's most, most have.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's seven.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, six openings right now.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: The, yeah, this position opening up feels like more likely for halfly to make an exit, just because like defense invited team, you know, you get a defensive coach in there and halfly's been, I don't know.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I, I really like halfly.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like the media and the nation wide, like media seems to like him a lot too, so I don't know.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: He might get a lot of publicity.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that Derek Henry game kind of changed some things to and maybe how it looks in the playoffs.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love to keep up.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we'll see again.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: And if that happens, I'll reiterate and kind of what we were talking about here with the Packers trying to save money a lot of spots.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: I would be very surprised.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: probably shocked, if halfly moved on, if we didn't just promote someone from within more than likely, Derek Ansley, the DB coach, or Marcus Covington, the defensive line coach who both have coordinator experience.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: I would be surprised if LeFlor, when wanting to bring those guys on, told the front office, okay, I know they'll cost a little bit more money than position coaches usually, but
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: If Hathley ever moves on, they'd be a cheap replacement and they were not signing someone outside of the building and bringing in a whole new staff, which I would assume either one of these guys would keep most of the staff in place.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: Going back to the harbour, they're really quick.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: How surprised were you that he got fired?
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: uh... i was surprised not shocked it is weird looking at like his record i think he only had two losing seasons and i mean they were twelve and five last year it's uh... there was some report that lomar jackson and a lot of the players and even coaches rekind of out on harba to
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I mean, he's a little outspoken on stuff.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: You, you know, 18 years shit gets old.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I don't know.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's weird because I mean, God, you've got to feel for Tyler loop that kicker and out to her.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's the heart of first.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, man, I lost the game.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: Am I still going to have a job?
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's like, you got the 18 year tenure head coach fired and they probably would have been back how they won that game and went to the playoffs.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's like why I'm so surprised because like if they win that game, they don't fire him They make it not like us and then you don't fire a head coach that just went to the playoffs So like I mean has that that never happens did let me Smith make the playoffs But did they win 10 games?
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was one or the other when he got fired.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's too I don't know, but it's gotta be super super rare.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: It does happen.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's like
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: And by all accounts, he has to make that kick, like that is not a hard kick.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes, so I don't know like that's what surprised me the most is like that's how you get fired Like after 18 years, that's how they let you go is like the kicker misses a seemingly today And that's like yes, yeah, I don't know that that was what was wild to me.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: You stick with a guy for 18 years and then you let him go for that I don't know
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, who knows what's going on behind the scenes bay you're not wrong.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: It last thing on this too, very, very important.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: But again, getting away ahead of myself as well, Derek, Ansley, and Markus Comington, too, I don't know if you know this too black dudes.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: If they were really good, and they got a head coaching gig.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: the expansion of the Rooney rule.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think we talked about this way back in the past.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: But so the Niners once again, they could when Robert Salah, who's now their defensive coordinator again, of course after you know hanging out with us last year, which didn't benefit us at all, I'm sure.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's the DC for the Niners.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: His name is going to brought up and head coaching circles again.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: If he gets hired as a head coach like last time The Niners would receive two third-round picks.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's part of you know the have a minority Getting GM jobs and head coaching jobs and stuff.
- 42:39[UNKNOWN]: So
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Potentially, if one of those two guys showed out really well, uh, you know, we could get additional compics too.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: But again, I just, I'm like, you, so Sala can get the Niners four third drum picks in the span of like six years.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: That just, that was, I get why I guess you can make some type of argument for the first one.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's still two third drum picks is a lot, but again, seems nuts.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's like, you gotta, you gotta add that to the rule book.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like like do you think teams that have a coach already and like aren't like for a coach like are they it annoy it like I would be so annoyed if like you just don't have a chance I guess you could fire your coach but like these third round picks are just up for grabs for teams that are bad because they get to hire new coaches all the time because they're bad.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: It just says, I don't like right.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe you're misunderstanding.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: The Niners would receive two third-drunk picks.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: If Robert saw a left being a defensive coordinator to be a head coach somewhere else.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying in general, like with the Rooney rule of like, because you get to hire, if you hire, where it's if you hire him, I might already coach.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: You get a you get a you get a pick too, but and then the team that has the guy poach, that's the Rooney rule, isn't it?
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the Rooney rule I knew, I know for sure, maybe there's something else for hiring a minority, but I know before as you have to hire someone of color for every front office and head coaching hire that you do.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's part of the Rooney rule.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we need to get into Rooney rule rules here, but that's what expands way past just head coaches.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was more like a long and head coach lines, but it's senior leadership roles for minority and female candidates and head coaching.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe kind of Lisa Rice is going to be the head coach for the Browns.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that?
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: 20, 18.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll kind of do.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: With that, getting closer to the actual game coming up, but Stump Spenny, Todd, I am nine for nine on the year, I believe after last week.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: This will count.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we can.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: We can't.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's over.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: So we're into the playoffs.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: But we have to continue it because I'm at 500.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Stump Spenny for the week.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: Two Packers combined to intercept three passes in the 2011 NFC Championship game.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: Name them.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Two Packers, three INTs, two Packers, three Interceptions, 2011 NFC Championship game at Chicago.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Who was it?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it's B.J.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: Rajee and Sam Shields.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, okay.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was a good question.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: I obviously, everyone knows the B.J.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: Raju on, and I was like, who had two?
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't realize Shields had two, but the game ended on a desperation heave that he picked off going from right to left at the bottom off like 10-yard line where he high pointed it picked it off and I was like, ah, we're going to maybe if it was asked like how many exceptions did we have in the 2011 game, that would have been, that would have been a tough one.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would have, I would have, I would have,
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: I should have worked shop that with Philly before we aired it and I'm really sparking what was the best play from that game.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: The best play.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: The Rajee picks six.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's what most say I would still say it was Aaron Rogers cackling Brian Erlacker when he threw that fumble day think when they were in the red zone if that doesn't happen we're not going to the Super Bowl.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: Fair.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: Also Sam Shields two picks pretty important.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I suppose, but I think it was like a 10 to 3 game.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's what the score is.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that sounds right.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: but moving on to the next bears packers playoff game the packers are playing the bears at soldier field 7 p.m. on amazon prime al michael's and Kirk herbsry on the call uh... i like getting a night game uh... al michael's manned again he is just fallen off to do you see that other call where he it was a good morning play and he's just sleep in through it it isn't really how bad he is now yes
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Flip flip the switch did you see Tureko's call at the end of the match he was so good He used to be like boring like I don't think he brought energy way back in the day again like 2007 He was the Monday night guy, but yeah, now he's like the best of the best like adding in little facts when they're showing Rogers disappointed that he's potentially missing his The playoffs for a fourth straight year, whatever.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: I hope and it's the kicker has been good all year bubble
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: talks about like they picked this guy because they think he's got the stuff like and he's just like setting it up but like not in like an over-exaggerating way it's just like perfect like I've never I can't remember the last time I was like when that happened I was like that was like set up perfectly by the commentating like I can't remember the last time that he felt that he's good yeah he's really good and the game that end of that game was wild
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll talk a bit a little bit about that at the very end as well.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: Again, yeah, Psyldr field 7 PM, those two on the call, al-miclos and herb streeth, weather.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_02]: Right, just great now.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, it should be around freezing.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be like 28 kickoff or something.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_02]: Good chance for snow or rain.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: And it's going to be windy again, like it was last time 10 to 20 mile per hour winds throughout the game.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll have to look out for that.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Vegas, over under is 45 and the half and the spread has been really, really weird.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't, I can't remember seeing this before.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, it's hyped up a little bit more with it being the playoffs, but especially for the Packers being the line for this game is, it was Packers getting a point.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was the Bears getting a point.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_02]: It has gone back and forth a week, depending on the book that you're going through, like it's changing every day.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: So it is about as much of a pick-up as you could possibly have in the NFL.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: Something else of note, Repping, Adrian Hill is the lead refer to this game, his crew and it's part of a different crew as well now because it's the playoffs.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_02]: But he called the most pre-snap penalties in the league this year that something that the Bears have struggled with.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're bottom five for that in the NFL, so could benefit us.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: He also calls a lot of taunting and personal foul penalties.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully Kishan can hold it in, well, he did a little bit last and we did have that one that should have been a flag But if you remember too, I mean the bears had a couple of those penalties the last time we played apparently He calls a lot of holds as well.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that's much of a benefit now that Mike Parsons is dead But hey, did you see that video today if him bended his knee?
- 49:36[SPEAKER_02]: No
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: He put a he put it on I got put a video out.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was sitting his knee.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: He was on like a sitting cycle thing and he bent his knee all the way a week after the ACL all the way all like pretty pretty close to like straight a week after and I don't know if
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: Probably a few, but if you were listening back when John Cooen, John Cooen, I wish, well, whatever.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: When a Brett Goode came on the pod cast a couple times, he talked about when he tore his ACL and coming back from it.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: And how the toughest part is when you have to make your knee completely straight, how it's the most painful thing ever.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: And Michael did a police straight as worse than bending it.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought it was bending it.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's the hard part.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: We need so many degrees of like Defliction at the joint is like yeah, God.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's whatever one or the other whatever bent under the video.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's just riding the bike
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: very, it's one rotation incredibly slowly.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's crying.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's crying.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's a thing too.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's talking during it.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, well, he's like, oh, look at this flee.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: Who's the trainer or whatever.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot who it or it was the other physical therapist.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the other physical therapist.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: But again, yeah, ruffs, something to watch there, bears, team were playing, they were coming off a 19 to 16 loss to the lions at home.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God that happened and again, God, if we, I said it after we lost him the first time.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: But God, if we just didn't lose to the fucking Ravens, especially the way we did, we could have been the two seed right now with how things played out.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: Because the week before they lost to the Niners 42 to 38,
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and this is, again, this is our third time.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it was talked a lot, like I think we kind of saw this coming, but it was talked a lot when we played them twice and three weeks.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're now playing them three times in six weeks.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: How many times has that happened in the NFL?
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, but it's still playing them twice and three weeks.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: I hate it with another year.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's stupid.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think Pepper, four of them in the middle of the season are three of them.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: Then once at the end, the spread for playing the lines this year was perfect.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: First game, it then thinks giving something like that is nice.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's a much better way to do it.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: their offense again I mean we've had some previews here so I'm trying to fucking slim it down but hey you got to know exactly what's going on.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: Points per game they were scoring 25.9 ninth best and again they're off of this very hot and cold we saw that when we played them two and they obviously had that comeback late um they get a lot of their points in the fourth quarter again Cardiac Caleb their columnum he had all 16 of their points last week came in the fourth quarter as well
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Williams, fine, whatever everyone knows about him at this point.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: He was like what 57-year short of 4,000-year-old's pastig years.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: So the bears still don't have a 4,000-year-old pastor and franchise history.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be at he is now the leading Pastrore or whatever in bears for a single season and it was a great last week into Troy.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean again, he was good-lapety did throw a pretty bad pick towards the end
- 52:48[SPEAKER_02]: Their weapons, again, I mean Luther Burton, Colson, Lovelin, have been the sending players on their offensive of late, uh, Lovelin last week had 91 yards and he ended up being the leading passcatcher for that team.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: They obviously also have DJ Moore, who's very solid, cool, commit the backup tight-end and rolema Dunesay the second year wide out who probably would have been their leading receiver had a state health failure.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: he should be back this week.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think he was limited.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's been out for about a month now with a foot injury.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's a huge difference maker, but he is a talented player.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: Running the ball.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: They're good running 4.9 yards per carry.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a top 10 in the NFL.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Swift is the fast one, meningas, the one that runs between the tackles, both are solid, good offensive line, left tackle, the second round pick is banged up, but should play.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like, and it sounds like the guy who was the left tackle to begin the year, he's a little banged up as well.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: I assume one or both are going to play, but still something to think about there.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: Their center was also named a pro baller along with their guard, Thuny, so again, that's
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: If we if we just didn't play pay banks in me and we instead signed Drew Dalman who who's the bear center I wonder how much better offensive line would be right now.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, their defense is me and Has been pretty much that same thing as late pretty shitty Obviously with the nine or his game two giving up 42 points
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: On the season though, they gave about 24.4 points per game, which was 25th, and 361 yards per contest as well, which is 29th, they give up 7.6 yards per pass, which is 28th, 5.0 yards per run, which is 29th, however again they force the most turnovers and the league and average of 1.9 per game.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: guys on their defense to note by art or whatever the safety he led the league and picks do you know how many picks led the league this year?
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I guess 10.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_02]: Seven.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was a low number.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: There are corners or are okay, but a little banged up.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_02]: They're kind of they're hot and cold players too kind of like Kisha Nixon.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um, let me got who do they have there now?
- 55:06[SPEAKER_02]: Because, uh, well, whatever.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get to that later.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um, D-Line is me.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: Linebackers are fine.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_02]: Again, like edge players want us wet.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_02]: He led them with 10 sacks.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: Jurvan Dexter, the interior
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: Kevin Bard, who had just much in there along with the two offensive linemen, should be good game packers obviously rested our starters last week, the bears played a full game against a trait all six minutes and God I was really hoping there that it was going to go into overtime especially after seeing the commanders were going to win that would have been nice.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and at the same time, you know, rest first, rest.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: Some people are like, hey, maybe we should have played Jordan love, we should have played our starters.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's been times in the past when we had those buys, and maybe when he rested guys where we came out a little flat, the one thing that Jordan loved pushed against for that is last week, there was a lot of ones, first ones in practice, which you usually don't do in season.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_02]: So again, another, you feel bad for a Clayton tune, because he
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: didn't really get all the first team reps, and then he was thrown in against a Bryan Flores defense because you know, Jordan love getting all those good reps during the week.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_02]: But again, Packers should be full strength, minus Bull Melton, the bears, O'Line will see what happens.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_02]: Their nickel corner C.J.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: Gardner Johnson has a concussion.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: I guess he's out.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: Since this is a short week his replacement Kyler Gordon was activated.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: I off I are this week So we'll have to see it would be him along with Jalen Johnson the outside corner who I don't know He's he's an up and down player too.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, doesn't he have a fair amount of pixels here?
- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think so most of them have multiple.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's probably got three or four.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he was hurt for a stretch of the year two So maybe he doesn't have all that many
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I guess before we get into the different match-ups, uh, I know we don't have multiple expectations here, Todd, but is this the biggest game of the LaFlor love era?
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, you can get this.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: What is?
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Why would say the divisional game two years ago?
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: against the Niners, I suppose bigger game.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's a bigger game than this.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: This might have implications within the building, but like I feel like this isn't the bigger game.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_02]: I guess, but I mean, I think it is, you know, it's been a tumultuous season in some regards, Jordan Love is 30 year here now, that 23 season.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're playing with house money,
- 57:50[SPEAKER_02]: It just feels like, you know, for the ups and downs and the questions about the floor, whatever, the team getting banged up.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's the bears, the way you lost to them in the regular season.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: If you lose to them in the playoffs, it would be pretty bad.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's one thing to lose in the playoffs, but to lose your divisional rival as well.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think, like...
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: A way to judge it too is between, say we lose on Saturday, which isn't going to happen, between that the next day after that loss, the next day after the Eagles lost last year or the next day after the Niners lost, like what hurt the most.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think this loss would hurt the most than any of those previous two playoff games.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: It hurt.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're fucking doing the way we lost to the Niners hurt.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we outplayed the Niners and brought party sucked and we still lost.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, yeah, we'll actually be on that a little bit later, too.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: But looking at the matchups here, Jordan love verse the Bears secondary.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just go through the offense and defense first.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: How are you feeling with this matchup?
- 58:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's kind of the sexiest one of the of the day.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the biggest ex-factor.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if we'll come out hot and try to try some deep bombs to Christian Watson.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I mean, the bears are a team that kind of give up leads early and then they try to come back late.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of what it's been this year.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Watson killed them in the last game.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: Remember going up against Jill and Johnson on that crossing route,
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: I guess how do you feel about Jordan love going up this bare secondary, which has had their issues as far as coverage goes, but they do force a lot of turnovers.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I feel I do feel pretty good about it.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: With what you highlighted with Christian Watson too, like that makes me feel a little bit better because it felt like the floor did have their number a little bit and like what he was calling
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was hitting, we were connecting, like it felt pretty good for the majority of the game, up until obviously the very end last time, but I felt like it was one of those games where like love and the floor were kind of clicking against that bear's defense.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: It did really well.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: League Willis did play a lot in the last bear's game, that's when Jordan love got hurt.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm thinking of the first one then.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, I mean, it was kind of both to with just Malik being the one who is airing out the ball a few times as well.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think I don't know.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I don't feel super bad about it.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the interceptor is going to come.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think he threw like one bone headed pick.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds right.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_01]: Was that one of the two he got only though.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, just to throw it right to, I can forget which one it was.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I might have been right or something like that.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like a pick is going to happen, there's that dad taxes is incoming, the thing that I'm most worried about with Jordan is just like being rusty and like not just being cold coming into this game, like that's my worry, so if he's cold, that secondary is going to take advantage.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: If he's like sling in the ball and they're off of their fret farm throws, like they're going to pick him off.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're gonna test that second year early and again I talked about a couple of weeks ago But I think there is something where Jordan loves gonna want to have to prove himself a little bit here One, I mean, it's the playoffs.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_02]: You want to do that anyways, but again the Mleek Willis talk Maybe he wants to come out and show who he is Do you think he cares about the I don't think he cares about that?
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I don't think it's nothing Do I think it's something big?
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: No, but I think it's something I don't think he cares at all.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_01]: He is just like the I don't think that's just seem like something that would bother him
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's other, there's a certain QB that we used to have that it would maybe bother.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it's bothering him, but it's just another piece of motivation that you can have going out there.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_02]: And something else to remember too, I mean, Dobbs had a huge game.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_02]: The last time we played the Bears 2, maybe not huge, but a big game yet like 90 yards receiving before he fumbled on the onside kick.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then with the win too, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more short shit to Jane read again.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's are one.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah guy on this offense, so I wouldn't be shocked if we see a little bit more of him getting the ball a little bit moving on Tucker craft still lead the team in yak.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: He probably, you know, Justice misguided it.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think craft is still like, I don't know, he was still up there for the Packers.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's definitely one or two.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, God, it could be, um, Of course, it could be Watson with, yeah, with a couple of those of these had.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: Our run game versus the bears run defense Joshua Jacobs.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously getting I mean fuck he's probably the healthiest now since the giant's game.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_02]: I would say I don't know I think Belton look pretty good again on Sunday like one of the nice price bright spots there getting banks and Tom
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_02]: back healthy.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna get in Tom.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's played in like a month here either, so he should probably be as healthy as he's been all in season.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't talked to the media yet this week, but I would think that's the case.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: But again, the bears that give up five yards of carry, we ran pretty decently.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think, you know, a manual will somebody had a decent game against them the last time he played.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_02]: after, you know, it's trash in him earlier, but I think he did.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: But I would like to see, I think the run game has a chance to play pretty well here.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: Again, this offensive line is healthy.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Jacobs is healthy.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_02]: The bear's D isn't very good.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't mind, you know, maybe getting up early one way or another and then leaning on that run game obviously.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I'd like to see Chris Brooks number two, but Todd, how do you feel about the run game going into this one?
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_01]: I was just looking up to last time manual Wilson had 14 for 82 yards against the bears that was on.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I feel good about it.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_01]: I do feel, it's, it gives me hope feeling like Josh Jacobs is healthy.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: The knee is good.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: We can work in a manual Wilson, work it, like keep the guys kind of fresh because I do feel like if it's nasty and stuff like that's really going to play to the bears advantage, just with their interior offensive line, the way they run the ball.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_01]: Although we did a pretty good job against some last time, but this front seven looks a little bit different now.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like, uh, I feel, I feel confident about it actually.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I, the more I think about the more we talk about the more I do feel pretty confident in this offense, as a whole, going up against the bears and just like there.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_01]: They just have a pretty pedestrian defense minus the turnovers.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm almost more worried about the weather than I am about the Chicago bear.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in the same boat as you.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, if it's shitty out.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to feel a lot different if it's snowing or raining and just like sloppy.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, like, that's our advantage just to be able to throw the ball.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we'll have to see on that again, because if you remember last time to Malik Willis and love both had balls in the red zone that just fucking the wind carried on like a couple yards out of where they should have been.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: Was it that one ball that Malik through that was off by like three feet when in reality it was going right at Watson something like that.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, both of them to Watson crazy.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_02]: Kale Williams verse are defense.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean one the front seven containing him too.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously the secondary We don't have a speed guy at edge to get to him.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously with Micah being dead We did not sack him our first two games, but yeah, do you think maybe Bretton Cox or Surrell or JJ can help with the speed here?
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: I almost wonder if you like I don't know what the solution is
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: It almost feels like you have to spy him with a linebacker, like some but like Cooper or Quay that are like, we haven't spied him, I don't think with halfway this year.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think we just played a lot of his own.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: And it'll be interesting to see how well, I guess, the rush, maybe it doesn't even matter, maybe he can just sit in the pocket, which is honestly where he want him to be.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you just had your edge guys kind of play contain, that might even be the best case scenario, and you don't even have to do anything that's what they do.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's one of the reasons why we didn't sack them.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like remember how upset you were getting last year when we,
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: weren't blitzing and it was just kind of containing some of those rushing quarterbacks instead of actually trying to sack him like that's kind of what is happened with Caleb this year to work they much rather have him throw the ball than makes it with his legs especially in the pocket like I just remember like watching him
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like for the first time this year when we played them and being like, oh, like when he's on the run he's a completely different quarterback right then when he's thrown from the pocket he kind of sucks from the pocket and then you get him out there on the run he never misses yeah I think that's exactly if they're going to want to keep them in there and
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_02]: Rashon Gary will have to see, I mean, to get he did not, he has not had a sac since October.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't play in this last game.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_02]: I did see this stat out there.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot to tweet this out.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_02]: But despite not recording a sac since week eight and finishing with seven and a half total, Rashon Gary ranked 18th among edge crushers with 54 pressures, which is more than Brian Burns and Max Crosby despite 200 fewer snaps.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_02]: However, both burns and cross-be had a cross-be 10 and then burns 16 and a half sacks.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's interesting that he had more pressures than both of them.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm not really sure what to make of that.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's 18th, 18th in pressures.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've been saying it to when everyone's getting on.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm rightfully so for the most part.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he hasn't had any TFLs either.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_02]: I believe, but it's a key, he is affecting the game.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's just not making the plays that a guy just $26 million a year, you know, should be doing.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's also too that like what it there's like a name for this where it's like a quick rush or something like that like quick pressure we talk about Yeah, zero quick pressures right none so like those quick pressures are probably usually sacks Where you know for version like if you can't get past your guy they're long pressures
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_02]: he has a lot he only has long pressures yeah um secondary i mean bounce back game for kisha nicks and how do you feel about the secondary here i mean maybe x or even Williams can pick a ball off actually
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's, I feel better if I felt like we could catch the ball.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, maybe having things back there, at least when Caleb throws a wild ball, somebody can capitalize.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's at least someone on the field I can catch the ball.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's pretty much Diggs's best quality as far as I can tell.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not coverage.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, according to the statistics.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we might talk about here.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_02]: The bears run D or run offense.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_02]: I should say verse are run D again.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_02]: Got to once it Taylor Swift.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_02]: What's his name?
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_01]: That divine taste, man.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's starting to the D. The Andre is it the Andre Swift?
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's the Andre.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: We'll go up if not today.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's the Andre Swift.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_02]: Swift and Kyle Menungai.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_02]: A postrophe Andre.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, there you go.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_02]: This might be like the matchup of the game.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, the thing we're probably most worried about on Saturday can this group of Colby wooden carl Brooks, Jonathan Ford, getting called back to the Packers and is your stack.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_02]: I was hold up in the middle after such a terrible game.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: What we had when we played the Ravens and Derek Henry, LVN healthy, Quay Cooper, Evan Williams might make a difference to, um, they've all been pretty good in the run game.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_02]: Are you, I mean, is this your biggest worry going into the game?
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think like on paper, it looks really bad.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, but we had this exact same defensive line, not without Jonathan Ford.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_01]: When we played him last time and like Swift had less than 60 yards, manungai, 50, like Caleb was almost the most deadly.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so it's like,
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it's it's interesting to me, like on paper, it looks like they should they should just run the ball the middle over and over and over again, but when we play it them end in December, they weren't able to run the ball in us, which is interesting.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really know what to make of that.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_01]: I guess for that reason, I'm not that worried, like it feels like they should lean into it and they did a little bit that game and they just wound up not being successful.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and I mean, you're not wrong, but then it's also, you know, then I feel stealing from each other obviously the Raven showing what you can do against this defense, maybe you have differently, though you can do a lot.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_02]: True, but it's a lot running between the tackles, I think the bears have run a lot outside the tackles, but.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_02]: especially with Swift, you know, but on guys obviously the one who's more of the ground and pound in the middle there.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_02]: But again, with the weather too, if it's a sloppy game, this would be a big advantage for the bears running the ball in two.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just their offensive line, big old boys, good interior.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_02]: That could be something, something problematic.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_02]: but I'm sure it's something to where the defensive line is probably embarrassed by the way that they played against the ravens and they know going into this one it's contained Caleb and you know plug shit up in the middle and have the linebackers do what they do.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_01]: My hope is that they try and get swift going because he's not the one that I'm scared of.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: The one I'm scared of is my own guy, just running between the tackles four or five yards of pop.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's what I'm scared of.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like our second level is fast enough that I agree.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: They fed DeAndre and like every time they did, he's moving laterally and we're there.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_01]: So like I felt better about that and like,
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like at times, too, like our quarters do, like, bullets really good down in the box.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone Williams comes down in the box, plays amazing.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: So like, running outside on us is really not the play.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Run right up the middle and like, so if they lean on me, no guy, it's going to be, yeah, it could be bad.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_02]: For sure big a Quay Walker game once again.
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed like you know, maybe a little suspect at times against the Raven So maybe he'll be a big boy in this one in Chicago Something else with the run game.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_02]: I guess you can talk talk about here could have mentioned it with the past game too But digs I wouldn't be surprised or what I would probably expect because we love our packages and moving guys around
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_02]: I would expect on Saturday, Diggs is going to start opposite kishan in early downs and then I think in more passing situations, maybe that's when they put karington valentine out there just because of the tackling.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_02]: I guess maybe you go back and forth on the two now that I'm thinking about it because a lot of Valentines bad tackling have came on the short passes You know, so they're still passing the ball and it's passing situations But I wouldn't be shocked if Diggs plays a lot more than you would expect just because he has that length You know, we could say he has that ball skill stuff.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_02]: We play a lot of his own defense But if nothing else, what he showed on Sunday too was he's a physical corner like he's a big guy And he uses all of them to make play so
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be shocked if he does out now carrying some valentine here.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't he have like a perfect rating with thrown at though?
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I mean, that was, there's the cowboys.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_02]: They were historically terrible.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think he should have made a little bit more.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not like I'm saying he's going to play good or great.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_01]: You're just saying you think he's the guy.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think again, if you're playing corner,
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_02]: And you're in his own defense here, I think there's a lot less, you're a lot less likely to fuck up bad and as long as you can tackle, which seems to be one of his strengths, I think it's a plus for the secondary in this game.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Carrington Valentine tackling ability just really is tough to watch, like, I do feel like at times, like, not at times, he's in the right spot, actually a lot of times in coverage.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: He can't catch a single thing, but then like you see him come down and like he's aggressive He gets he gets down in there and then just like misses the tackle.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_01]: This is the tackle This is the tackle and you're like fuck like here and it just it can pick in one of our quarterbacks or all of our quarters together We could make one or two good quarters
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_02]: And not sure.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_02]: I do.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_02]: I do wonder too.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: Again, getting away early, but I wouldn't be shocked if we draft someone's, you know, somewhat early next year, but then we end up running a back with Kishan valentine and then we signed digs to.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_02]: a short-term contract.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe just a one-year proof at deal.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_02]: He can stay with Mike.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like he already likes Green Bay.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_02]: He talked about two.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_02]: There was like some fan who made like a custom poster for him to sign pre-game at the Viking game.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's been there for less than a week.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe he likes Green Bay.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he wants to stick around.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I wouldn't be shocked with something like that happens.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: I do think like, I think there's no way, not no way.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's unlikely with the money, the money situation, that Goody lets Kishan walk like that.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's like getting, that's like when you get your house and your mortgage is 1% so you're like, this is free money.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's making like, is it like five million or something like that?
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's like literally nothing.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's, it's six million or eight million.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's less than 10 mil for a starting corner, no matter what you think a Kishan like that.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_01]: and that's where it's like you could literally keep him on the roster like he's making what a backup it's not even a good backup makes it's I believe it's comparable to Isaiah McDuffie's contract
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, like that's why there's like no way, right?
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's highly unlikely that Goody walks away from that contract.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't like keep a It doesn't hurt me thing.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad you brought this up to because I didn't write it down.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'd say it's 50 50 If Kishan is our kick returner on Saturday because it's like on Saturday you think
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I don't think he's a good puncher.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think and I'd rather have I'd rather have Roll me on puns just fucking catch it.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_02]: Just don't fuck up.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, which is not gonna keep talking there But kickoffs.
- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_02]: Savions on the IR Bow Milton is banged up and they probably even if he's healthy don't want him taking those hits So then it's Emmanuel Wilson That guy with three names who was the receiver on Sunday
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_02]: And Neil bit you remember that how he did one foot out one foot in he ought to out a half patty Um, I don't think they're gonna have him be a returner.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I would think they're like hey, Key Shawn, why don't you come on in and return kicks for us?
- 1:16:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's the playoffs.
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_02]: We know last year Maybe we don't want to remember that just hold on the ball and do your thing
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_01]: And manual had one nice return he did have a good one in this game that is a good point.
- 1:16:44[SPEAKER_01]: It was a really nice return actually.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that was a nice best which was a lot of manual.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not wrong.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes having the runny backs in there like they're never going to break one, but like they'll get you a couple extra yards like every time.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the last month we've been pretty good on, I don't want to jinx anything.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_02]: The last month, we've been pretty good on returns.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Rich gets a lot of shit, but our coverage units have always been at least average under a rich pasacha.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_02]: And if you remember back in the day, when we really, I mean, we still hate our special teams, but it was like big returns in the last moment every time.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_02]: With Rich this year, it's been like the kick, like past blocking kicks and we lost three special
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, that's a good point.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_02]: So Zayn Anderson.
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_02]: He, I believe he went on IR.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Welch did.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_02]: But we are going to have, well, I don't know, but I believe Nick Neiman was a screaming even.
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's back and you want to know how much of a loser I am when it comes to me in a pack or fan?
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't upset but I was upset to see that he was practicing last week and came off the shirt term I are because no one in the media ever asked about Nick Niamin when he got hurt Niamin when he got hurt initially if it was seasoned ending.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_02]: So since he's gone on IR, which was like week eight or week six, whatever it was, we've had no idea if he was going to come back or not because no one on the beat asked about it.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden it's like, hey, he's practicing.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_02]: He's not out for the year.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because they probably don't think anyone cares.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, but I'm sure if I reminded a couple of them to be like, oh, yeah, we probably should have followed up on that earlier, but you're right special teams is getting out of the Nulse.
- 1:18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, fuck them, but not actually, besides right what I fucking hate him.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_02]: LeFlor and Ben Johnson, did you see what Ben Johnson said after the game on Sunday?
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_02]: No, I did not.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really.
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_02]: He said, quote, some teams, they rest their starters.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_02]: We don't.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_02]: We play football a lot of taking this as a shot at the Packers.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because did also rest their starters when they were playing for something.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_02]: Um, what do you think of that?
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think of that quote?
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think Ben likes to stir the pot.
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_01]: which i think is wonderful like i love that he likes to stir the pot and like put because i just feel like the packers can stand to gain a little bit of motivation right and so like if that can be a lock room material i'm all for it like let's hear it say more dumb shit you want to know what i would do if i were that coach of the packers this week yes i do want to know
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_02]: Within the facility and this is probably dumb, I'd put up a bunch of signs that say we play football like all over the place because I think it's really funny for him to say we play football like we didn't play football, but if you just put a quote on quote, we play football, I think that's a pretty good message to drown the players.
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's dumb.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's caveman shit.
- 1:19:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's not even that great amount.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_02]: Eat the dumb caveman shit though, like you like simply keep it simple stupid.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_02]: Something that's going to still be in the back of your mind because you're seeing it all day and it has to do with the car feast and smashing the watermelon with a sledgehammer.
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_02]: You always bring this up with you.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know it wasn't with the packers, but I don't care.
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's such a great example of like dumb football guys shit that like gets the guys fired up.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe fired up strong.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's something to remember though.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like you think about it.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's something it's something is better than nothing It's better than coming in and giving some dumb boring locker room speech like you come in you smash a fruit like that You'll talk about that for forever.
- 1:20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I will me.
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_02]: I will I was even in the room.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, good to good to know might not have even yeah, well, yeah, you ring it up every at least once a year
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, any other thoughts in this match up here taught?
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a pretty it's a nerve-wracking game I I really do quite hope we win this one more than any other game so far.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_02]: I would say this here.
- 1:20:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also hopeful I might I feel like I'm turning the corner
- 1:20:52[SPEAKER_01]: just on my hopes and dreams for this game.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was pretty down about it coming out of the lost to the to the Ravens and just like who felt like this team can't fucking like yeah.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_01]: But playing the bears were kind of healthy.
- 1:21:10[SPEAKER_01]: I hate to even say it.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_01]: We are healthier.
- 1:21:12[SPEAKER_02]: We're healthy.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're at Bull Mountain.
- 1:21:16[SPEAKER_02]: If he's out of wood suck, but I mean, that's it.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_01]: it's just whether or not we can come how long is it take us to shake the rust off and start playing football like that is like the big question and like we talked about the weather I think plays a big part.
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, for me, I mean, again, I just want to win this game.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like how much I hate the bears now compared to how I did.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's getting able to season hate Caleb.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's Caleb.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's been Johnson and it's their good, you know, the one that NFC North.
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought of this this week, um, I won't reveal how this thought popped into my head.
- 1:21:53[SPEAKER_02]: But the bears they really are just a shit stain in a toilet bowl, you know, and usually they're just one of those shit stains of the toilet bowl, and you know, where guys, gall listeners, you might not might not be able to relate to this as much.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they don't poop.
- 1:22:10[SPEAKER_02]: But usually there when you know there's a shit stain in the toilet like when you take a piss you're cleaning the toilet you're getting that shit stain off That's not this that's what the bears have been it's been one hot piss you clean up that shit stain the bears this year there's still a shit stain but they're tougher they're tougher shit stains it's one of those where you try your best
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's sad all night you flush and it's still there even after you piss you got to come back and might take two or three peas But you take out that shit stain.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's still a shit stain.
- 1:22:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a better shit stain at the end of the day That's what I think the bears are this year.
- 1:22:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a dried up one the dried up ones like if it sits overnight or all day And then you come back and come from working like oh still there and then it's like oh, it's fucking it's dry now
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I thought of weeks where the work I thought of getting into like with the science panel like But I don't want to get into fibrous whatever, but uh, okay.
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, the contents of the fecal matter barefoot Exactly, uh, Todd what is your score prediction for this game?
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think, I think Packers 24 bears 19.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think we win.
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I feel, I was, that was not my prediction this morning.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to hype myself up all day.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting there.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm feeling, we're turning the corner, like I said.
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_01]: What was Billy's bold prediction?
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_01]: Billy hasn't turned the corner yet.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_01]: So Billy has 23, 20 Chicago in a heartbreaker.
- 1:23:46[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's the only way we ever seem to lose the playoffs.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_02]: Fair, fair, yeah, that's fair.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I mean, I like that he picked us to lose.
- 1:23:55[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like we do better when Jesus, nice.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_02]: when it's mixed okay yeah not not cut that out not cut that out um yeah I don't I think I said that last and we still lost so maybe I guess we'll see on this on Saturday my score prediction I have us winning 27 to 16 oh maybe I'm wrong here maybe maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but it's still I think there's a chance where we come out early
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan love has a couple first half touchdowns.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_02]: And then we can just run, just keep running the ball and then you know, the hashtag run the ball.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like again, we haven't forced turnovers this year.
- 1:24:40[SPEAKER_02]: But when they come, they come in bunches.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I wouldn't be shocked if Caleb Williams, who we've seen at Times 2 go in the games.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_02]: And you can tell he's just a little too hyped up.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_02]: And he heirs a couple of them out.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I saw it even in crunch time last week when it happened.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_02]: I hope I don't regret it, but I do think we're going to win this game more than likely it's going to be a nail biter, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have enough of a lead in the first half, and then we just kind of skirt there.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_02]: Again, if we score, if we get the ball, if we score our first drive, and the bears don't or whatever, and it's seven off, and I'm going to feel really, really good about this game.
- 1:25:13[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 1:25:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure most people would say that, but if we go down and put up seven on the first drive, I'm going to feel very good.
- 1:25:21[SPEAKER_02]: What is your bold prediction for this game?
- 1:25:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say along the same lines of when you talk about the picks kind of coming.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's pretty bold.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say digs two picks.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_01]: If we're talking about him being in the game, being getting some actual snaps.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's the only guy with ball skills and just watching Caleb when he throws for the first three quarters of the game.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_01]: They're not good.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're not accurate.
- 1:25:55[SPEAKER_01]: So we just need him to be a little bit high, a little bit inside, et cetera.
- 1:25:59[SPEAKER_01]: So digs two picks is what I have.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_01]: What was Billy's bold prediction?
- 1:26:05[SPEAKER_01]: his bold prediction was one and a half sacks for your boy Rishan Gary okay i like that too i i mean it was sacks since what you said October yeah yeah i think i think that's a good one wouldn't shock me if i'm well it would surprise me if the only sack if Gary gets a second Caleb
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb will have to run into Gary, because there is no chance in hell, Gary could ever run him down.
- 1:26:29[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be one of those where he's getting flushed by LVN.
- 1:26:33[SPEAKER_02]: He turns around and then Gary smacks.
- 1:26:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that is what he'll have to track back to the inside, which he doesn't do.
- 1:26:38[SPEAKER_01]: So this is very bold.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_02]: My bold prediction, so originally I had Traveon digs forces a turn over something else too.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_02]: He does kind of try to pin up punch at time So I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happens, especially if the weather comes into play But obviously he gets a bunch of picks too.
- 1:26:56[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 1:26:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be at that hasn't been his deal for a couple years now So mine
- 1:27:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to say a Luke Musgrave touchdown.
- 1:27:05[SPEAKER_02]: He did not have a touchdown all season.
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Wiley has out snapped him for the most part.
- 1:27:11[SPEAKER_02]: I would assume Wiley will out snap him in this game as well.
- 1:27:14[SPEAKER_01]: But Luke comes out and gave us it that he had a bunch of snaps.
- 1:27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Luke had a ton of snaps.
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_01]: One gave these last four losses.
- 1:27:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, well, it's rotated a bit of whatever a pass.
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_02]: I thought I had a bunch of one of them.
- 1:27:27[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe even the Broncos he had a bunch.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:27:30[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been the bear.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was the bear.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been the bear first time.
- 1:27:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 1:27:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'll look you boy.
- 1:27:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's been something to of underperforming tight ends performing in the playoffs.
- 1:27:43[SPEAKER_02]: Jimmy Graham had a good game against the
- 1:27:45[SPEAKER_02]: C-hawks or Rams whoever was I think was the C-hawks that one game where you had the clenching first down for that one So maybe Luke must go if it can help us out a lot here.
- 1:27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you That's the bear's game.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's the the preview We'll have to see how it goes on Sunday Every part.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's the whole the whole episode yet that it's on Saturday
- 1:28:08[SPEAKER_02]: The whole episode I said Saturday then I forgot it's been so tough wanting to say Sunday too It's been tough this year especially like we played on Sunday this week We've played Saturday what we played with the last two Saturdays in a row.
- 1:28:19[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't we?
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we did so three or four weeks were playing on the Saturday
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's wild.
- 1:28:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's the NFL should look into that too because the body time is got to be off up for the Packers playing on different days throughout the season this way.
- 1:28:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of unfair you're saying what is what is your problem like your body clock like you know clock Yeah, I'd attribute like four of the most recent losses to that
- 1:28:45[SPEAKER_02]: people are saying yeah see I'm not the only one thinking it leave a five-star rating on Spotify or Apple that would be cool you can leave a comment on Spotify or I guess a review on Apple and I will read it on the podcast we had one comment this week this is from Logan.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_02]: He said, watch the Viking game earlier and got a few notes.
- 1:29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Why the hell is Daphne the Titan wearing 49 as a number that's disgusting?
- 1:29:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was the same number as Dominique Daphne had back in the day two.
- 1:29:14[SPEAKER_02]: He also had a ugly number.
- 1:29:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure.
- 1:29:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that might be true.
- 1:29:19[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't ugly number.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_02]: Weelin is the man and if we just won out, we would have been the NFC North champs because the bear's lost again anyways onto the playoffs, yes, I agree.
- 1:29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Very true.
- 1:29:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, okay.
- 1:29:31[SPEAKER_02]: I knew what was going to happen to.
- 1:29:32[SPEAKER_02]: I knew what was going to happen.
- 1:29:32[SPEAKER_02]: I really thought we were going to fucking beat the ravens to I did not think the game was going to go the way that it didn't unfortunately.
- 1:29:39[SPEAKER_02]: It was embarrassing.
- 1:29:41[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, also a shout out to Genji was sporting her cozy last week during the game.
- 1:29:46[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully You know, everyone got bring all your stupid little coosies for the game.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I don't ever use one of the coosies because that would be Weird I think.
- 1:29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Why is it weird?
- 1:29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's it's my podcast, you know, I feel like it would be it was your face.
- 1:30:02[SPEAKER_02]: This is the best analogy ever.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_02]: It would be exactly like if we'll bronze James like wore his jersey out in public.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_02]: I bet he would do it.
- 1:30:10[SPEAKER_02]: It'll bronze.
- 1:30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I guess I would be sure if you did.
- 1:30:15[SPEAKER_02]: With that, one other thing I had to talk about before we get out here.
- 1:30:18[SPEAKER_02]: Did you watch the Aaron Rogers first of the Ravens come back?
- 1:30:22[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 1:30:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I was very cool.
- 1:30:25[SPEAKER_02]: The whole ending at the back and forth, the back and forth was awesome.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then like the way I was like, oh, okay, like this is going to get good.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to like the ravens have to put a drive together.
- 1:30:36[SPEAKER_01]: At the end, they come out.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was like was like two plays and they were in the field.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_01]: Go range.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a clean shit.
- 1:30:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then comes out to Rico with the amazing call.
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_01]: They miss it.
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then they just immediately paned Rogers, which was fun, which I'm super happy for him.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm very happy to, I don't know if people would like this.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Packers aren't going to lose in the past.
- 1:30:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what you're going to say.
- 1:30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Packers aren't going to lose in the playoffs, but definitely a route and for the Steelers and the AFC.
- 1:31:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of those things.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_02]: If you told me, I'd feel this way when we drafted Jordan love, I would say you're crazy.
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_02]: But now it's like we saw Roger suffer with the Jets.
- 1:31:17[SPEAKER_02]: It was a pretty amicable, amicable.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Amicable.
- 1:31:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_02]: Um, departure and it's like, especially with the pads and Tom Brady Square having so many super balls like there's almost something like you don't want the other top franchises to get a bunch of super balls because you want to be up towards the top and I'm like, I wouldn't hate seeing Rogers go far in the playoffs with the Steelers.
- 1:31:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's, especially with the Super Ball.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I want Aaron Rodgers to what it was.
- 1:31:44[SPEAKER_02]: If we make the soup of that.
- 1:31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if we do want to do our step.
- 1:31:48[SPEAKER_02]: No, that would be nuts.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, I know I'm just saying, but that would be, but to have it be Steelers Packers again.
- 1:31:54[SPEAKER_02]: No chance.
- 1:31:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what less than one percent.
- 1:31:57[SPEAKER_02]: Very easy.
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:32:00[SPEAKER_02]: Something else.
- 1:32:00[SPEAKER_02]: This is really dumb, but what I thought about that game.
- 1:32:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it seemed to be another Rogers late loss, you know, in a pseudo playoff game.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, just like it all like we always saw where it's always defense and special teams I mean it was like two touchdowns back to back and then again They just marched down the field to attempt the seal right with too much time left Any mess yeah 44 yard field goal that I must say I think it was something that he hadn't missed under 50 yards all year or something It did so this is dumb again.
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_02]: This is dumb.
- 1:32:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's dumb fans stuff, but the kickers name
- 1:32:39[SPEAKER_02]: So the Packers.
- 1:32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Since we won this role in really since 2014, it's been defensive collapses and special teams.
- 1:32:49[SPEAKER_02]: Misapps, obviously 2014, it was both 2016, the NFC Championship game with no defensive little Darious Gunter, 2019 defense couldn't stop for him.
- 1:32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Most 20, 20 little bit of Rogers, but also Tampa put up 31 points in Kevin King couldn't do anything at the end of the first half.
- 1:33:06[SPEAKER_02]: then obviously we had the blocked punt in 2021 and then 2023 Anders missed.
- 1:33:13[SPEAKER_02]: Special teams defense.
- 1:33:15[SPEAKER_02]: This seems to be the first time that Aaron Rogers had some luck when it comes to that at the end of a game.
- 1:33:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's felt like in the playoffs, it's been a endless loop of these losses on defense and special teams maybe a loop giving Roger some luck something in the NFL with the NFL gods here.
- 1:33:37[SPEAKER_02]: You think there's some magic happening maybe there's some magic here and if we do lose it's not going to be due to special teams or the defense now that the loop has been broken.
- 1:33:48[SPEAKER_01]: it'll be the offense that loses the game maybe or maybe we just magic well or maybe there isn't some type of collapse and it's just like it was a hard-fot game but it's just like every starting quarterback that we face in the playoffs gets hurt like they slip on ice the day before and then it's like the prophecy as foretold is true
- 1:34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Really I really hope we win two cuz then it's like we get a we get a Samdarn old week You know like that would be kind of fun.
- 1:34:18[SPEAKER_02]: He's But then I can also wait a Jimmy G lot of reasons.
- 1:34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, that's fair Usually doesn't seem like quarterbacks matter all that much cuz a lot of shitty ones of beat us in the playoffs But Todd that's all that I have I don't have anything else do you have anything else
- 1:34:36[SPEAKER_01]: I got nothing else.
- 1:34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for this game.
- 1:34:38[SPEAKER_01]: I guess this is something else.
- 1:34:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited.
- 1:34:40[SPEAKER_01]: The more I think about it, the more I'm excited, which is leading me down Billy's road of like heartbreak.
- 1:34:47[SPEAKER_01]: You get yourself up all week.
- 1:34:49[SPEAKER_01]: You get excited.
- 1:34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Saturday comes and you're just fired up and then you know, so be ready.
- 1:34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, oh, I don't know.
- 1:34:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want heartbreak.
- 1:34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you can I'm just saying I'd build myself up to it.
- 1:35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean it's still sucks cuz it it would suck cuz it's the bears But I guess you know the divisional round ones really hurt the body championships hurt
- 1:35:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't even know why I started talking about it again.
- 1:35:19[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I do like that.
- 1:35:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's at night though.
- 1:35:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like that adds to the whole mystique to it.
- 1:35:23[SPEAKER_02]: If it was during the day, I think I'd feel a little different about it.
- 1:35:27[SPEAKER_02]: But under the lights outside at Soldier Field, that kind of adds the mystique as well.
- 1:35:32[SPEAKER_01]: Having a Saturday day game in the playoffs with suck.
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yeah, though we can't have new games.
- 1:35:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, it's like a three o'clock game usually.
- 1:35:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those are for the poverty franchises anyways, we would never do that with that was playing at who is playing before us.
- 1:35:52[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't tell you I could not tell you I didn't get any comments.
- 1:35:58[SPEAKER_02]: But who's playing before us in Saturday or we didn't get any comments.
- 1:36:01[SPEAKER_01]: We already read we already read the comment.
- 1:36:03[SPEAKER_01]: We read the comments.
- 1:36:07[SPEAKER_02]: Any reviews?
- 1:36:08[SPEAKER_02]: I check no no reviews none sense like September.
- 1:36:12[SPEAKER_01]: So come on with the fuck whatever you guys do yeah, what are you guys doing?
- 1:36:18[SPEAKER_01]: That oh, is there a new there is a new game.
- 1:36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:22[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, Buffalo and Jacksonville play at noon.
- 1:36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and then what's after that?
- 1:36:28[SPEAKER_01]: After that it was Philly and San Fran.
- 1:36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and then we play.
- 1:36:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, this is wrong.
- 1:36:35[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the wrong days.
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's a 3 30.
- 1:36:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:39[SPEAKER_01]: With the time to do anything else down there.
- 1:36:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, this was really good though.
- 1:36:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad we went a little longer.
- 1:36:45[SPEAKER_02]: As soon as I saw your screen line up, you're going to work up the schedule.
- 1:36:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, should I just try to cut it off now Carolina LA 330.
- 1:36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Then we play at seven.
- 1:36:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:55[SPEAKER_01]: The dates are correct for that.
- 1:36:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:58[SPEAKER_02]: With that, I don't have anything else, I'll tell you.
- 1:37:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, I'll hop it.
- 1:37:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm just that.
- 1:37:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:37:04[SPEAKER_02]: AJ Dillon, take a selfie.
- 1:37:06[SPEAKER_00]: See anybody on Twitter or whatever?
- 1:37:08[SPEAKER_00]: You can't do what we're doing, just enjoy, just watch.
- 1:37:12[SPEAKER_06]: How do you work with mine, down?
- 1:37:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:37:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:37:17[SPEAKER_06]: Good, just won't hate, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:33[SPEAKER_06]: and working like me down here.
- 1:37:43[SPEAKER_06]: I said, hey, now a little baby, I'm gonna leave her down in bed.
- 1:37:49[SPEAKER_06]: And honey, I ain't leaving here.
- 1:37:51[SPEAKER_06]: I got a six pack of beer and a pack of cigarettes.
- 1:37:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think Clayton-Tune gets somebody who's going to pull Jim.
- 1:38:00[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:38:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think they cut him so that he gets a chance to catch on with a playoff team.
- 1:38:07[SPEAKER_02]: Simply start.
- 1:38:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it could only help us.
- 1:38:14[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that's Hammer.
- 1:38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Brasmer literally looked a thousand times better.
- 1:38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:38:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe not literally, but yeah.
- 1:38:24[SPEAKER_01]: Not actually a thousand times, but it looked better.
- 1:38:27[SPEAKER_02]: It was like the passing of the torch game of like finishing with negative net passing yards, like Brazmann, Tune, like they have to be two of like three or four quarterbacks that finished without this year.
