Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Center, Ted Kruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:04Speaker 2: you as well. We are right in the middle of
- 0:06Speaker 2: a government shut down that Democrats were yearning for.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's the Schumer shut down.
- 0:12Speaker 2: But there's also a lot of misinformation or as I
- 0:15Speaker 2: like to call it, lies that are coming out of
- 0:17Speaker 2: this shutdown, and things that Democrats are accusing Republicans are
- 0:21Speaker 2: that just aren't true, and we're going to cover that
- 0:24Speaker 2: today as well.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Well. The Schumer shutdown continues. The federal government is partially
- 0:28Speaker 3: shut down. Between seventeen and eighteen percent of the federal
- 0:31Speaker 3: government is closed. It's going to stay closed as long
- 0:34Speaker 3: as the Democrats continue their temper tantrum. But at the
- 0:38Speaker 3: same time, we're also getting a bit of a history lesson.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Seventy six years ago, George Orwell wrote the classic book
- 0:45Speaker 3: nineteen eighty four about the oppressive totalitarian government he perceived
- 0:51Speaker 3: of the future, and also about Orwellian doublespeak. And I
- 0:55Speaker 3: got to say, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats in Congress
- 0:58Speaker 3: are doing an illustration of this now. They are gaslighting
- 1:02Speaker 3: the American people. They are attempting to argue things that
- 1:04Speaker 3: are simply false. In particular, to shift from a book
- 1:09Speaker 3: to a movie like Casablanca. They are shocked, shocked to
- 1:13Speaker 3: find there's gambling, and they're shocked shocked to find that
- 1:16Speaker 3: anyone is saying that they want free, taxpayer provided health
- 1:20Speaker 3: care for illegal aliens. Well, the nice thing about this
- 1:23Speaker 3: podcast is is that we bring the receipts. So we're
- 1:26Speaker 3: going to lay out the actual facts because the Democrats
- 1:29Speaker 3: are gaslighting, the media is gaslighting, and the facts are
- 1:32Speaker 3: clear that this is the Schumer shutdown and it's going
- 1:35Speaker 3: to end when they cave. We're also going to talk
- 1:38Speaker 3: about a hearing that was in the Senate Judiciary Committee
- 1:40Speaker 3: this past week focused on rising crime and the horrific
- 1:44Speaker 3: murder rates and crime rates in blue cities and the
- 1:47Speaker 3: Democrat policies of releasing violent criminals that endanger their citizens.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Democrats have decided they are all in not in support
- 1:56Speaker 3: of protecting innocent families, but rather in support of the
- 1:58Speaker 3: murderers and rapists and child molesters that Soros DA's are
- 2:03Speaker 3: releasing onto the streets. We're going to break those facts
- 2:05Speaker 3: down as well, and finally, we're going to talk about
- 2:07Speaker 3: the continued pattern of left wing ideologically motivated violence whether
- 2:13Speaker 3: it is attacks on ICE agents and ICE facilities, or
- 2:17Speaker 3: whether it is yet another horrific anti Semitic attack in
- 2:21Speaker 3: Great Britain. Over and over again we see the extreme
- 2:25Speaker 3: rhetoric from the left has deadly real world consequences. All
- 2:29Speaker 3: of that on today's podcast.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really it's going to be interesting to look
- 2:33Speaker 2: at what we're witnessing now and how the world's reacting
- 2:36Speaker 2: to it as well. Want to tell you real quick
- 2:38Speaker 2: though about our awesome sponsor, and that is Patriot Mobile.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I have got a cell phone and I can tell
- 2:44Speaker 2: you I've been using now Patriot Mobile for years. And
- 2:47Speaker 2: the reason why is because I know that my dollars
- 2:50Speaker 2: are going to a company that are not actually fighting
- 2:52Speaker 2: against my Christian values. Patriot Mobiles started more than a
- 2:56Speaker 2: decade ago by a group of conservatives that found out
- 2:59Speaker 2: where their money was going with Big Mobile. They didn't understand,
- 3:02Speaker 2: and you may not realize just how bad it's gotten.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Big Mobile gets big donations to hard core leftist causes,
- 3:09Speaker 2: organizations and groups that actually support and pay for abortions.
- 3:13Speaker 2: For example, if you don't want your money going there,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you now have an option. It's Patriot Mobile. They give
- 3:20Speaker 2: you amazing nationwide coverage. I travel all the time, and
- 3:24Speaker 2: I love the coverage I get with Patrio Mobile because
- 3:27Speaker 2: they're on all three major networks. That also means that
- 3:31Speaker 2: you are going to get the coverage you're used to,
- 3:33Speaker 2: if not even better coverage when you switch.
- 3:35Speaker 1: But here's where the magic happens. Every time you pay your.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Bill, they take about five percent of that bill at
- 3:41Speaker 2: no extra costs to you, and they give it back
- 3:43Speaker 2: to conservative causes that fight for our First and our
- 3:46Speaker 2: Second Amendment rights, that fight for the rights of unborn children,
- 3:50Speaker 2: and also that support and advocate the families of fallen soldiers,
- 3:55Speaker 2: wounded warriors, and our men and women that wear a badge.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So if you want to make a difference with every
- 4:01Speaker 2: call you make, with every text you send, then switch
- 4:04Speaker 2: to Patriot Mobile and I'm gonna give you a free
- 4:06Speaker 2: month of service. Go to Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict
- 4:10Speaker 2: it's Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict. Or you can
- 4:13Speaker 2: call them nine to seven to two Patriot. That's nine
- 4:17Speaker 2: seven to Patriot. Use the promo code vertic. You're gonna
- 4:19Speaker 2: get free month of service and switching has never been easier.
- 4:23Speaker 2: You do it over the phone, in literally minutes. Keep
- 4:25Speaker 2: your same cell phone, keep your same phone number that
- 4:28Speaker 2: you've got right now, and or upgrade to a new phone.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Treat yourself if you want a new one, and every
- 4:33Speaker 2: dollar you spend you're making a difference. Patriot Mobile dot
- 4:36Speaker 2: com slash vertict or nine seven to two Patriot. All right,
- 4:39Speaker 2: so let's just give a quick overview of the shutdown,
- 4:42Speaker 2: real quick center for people that are just joining us.
- 4:45Speaker 2: This shutdown was premeditated. It was well thought out and
- 4:50Speaker 2: organized by the left. And this is all because Chuck
- 4:53Speaker 2: Schumer need to say, hey, crazy, he's in the Democratic Party.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I promise I'm crazy. Please AOC don't primary me, and
- 5:00Speaker 2: you don't get rid of me as being your leader.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Well, I'm not sure I would say it was well
- 5:04Speaker 3: thought out, but it was certainly premeditied. And you're right.
- 5:07Speaker 3: You put your finger on the reason, which is Chuck
- 5:10Speaker 3: Schumer and the Democrats have a political crisis. And the
- 5:13Speaker 3: political crisis actually has nothing to do with government funding.
- 5:16Speaker 3: It has to do with the rise of the extreme
- 5:19Speaker 3: left in the Democrat Party and Schumer. Several months ago,
- 5:23Speaker 3: Schumer worked with Republicans to keep the government open and
- 5:26Speaker 3: that was the responsible thing to do, and so of
- 5:28Speaker 3: course the crazy left wing fringe got furious and they
- 5:32Speaker 3: almost cost him his job. And in fact it's striking
- 5:36Speaker 3: Democrat Senate candidates all across the country are being asked,
- 5:39Speaker 3: do you support Chuck Schumer to be leader of the
- 5:41Speaker 3: Democrat Party, And to a person, not a one of
- 5:44Speaker 3: them is saying yes. Nobody's saying yes. It's that bad.
- 5:48Speaker 3: AOC is breathing down his neck, he's looking over his
- 5:52Speaker 3: left shoulder at her. And so this shut down is
- 5:55Speaker 3: really Schumer beating his chest and saying, see, I hate
- 5:58Speaker 3: Donald Trump too. I can shut the whole federal government down,
- 6:01Speaker 3: aren't I tough?
- 6:02Speaker 4: Now?
- 6:02Speaker 3: What's interesting he doesn't have an exit ramp. He doesn't
- 6:05Speaker 3: have a plan to end this. This is just a
- 6:07Speaker 3: temper tantrum. And amazingly, almost all the Democrats are standing
- 6:12Speaker 3: with him, all but three. The first couple of times
- 6:14Speaker 3: we voted, all but three Democrats voted shut the government down. Now,
- 6:20Speaker 3: the ostensible policy demand they're making is they want free,
- 6:24Speaker 3: taxpayer provided health care for illegal aliens. Although the amazing
- 6:29Speaker 3: thing I mentioned nineteen eighty four a minute ago, they
- 6:33Speaker 3: are engaged in doublespeak where Democrats are going on TV
- 6:36Speaker 3: and saying no, no, no, we don't want free health care
- 6:38Speaker 3: for illegals. That's not remotely what this is about. And
- 6:41Speaker 3: the media CNN, boy, they are spinning so fast that
- 6:46Speaker 3: they are like windmills in a tornado. They're spinning so fast.
- 6:51Speaker 3: So I'm going to give you three compelling reasons to
- 6:55Speaker 3: demonstrate that they are utterly full of crap when they
- 6:58Speaker 3: are lying to you. Reason number one, the actual text
- 7:04Speaker 3: of the Democrats CR. Now, what's a CR. A CR
- 7:07Speaker 3: is a continuing resolution. It is legislation that keeps funding
- 7:12Speaker 3: for the government going. The House representatives controlled by Republicans
- 7:17Speaker 3: past what's called a clean CR. That means all the
- 7:20Speaker 3: House did is say the funding that we had a
- 7:23Speaker 3: couple of days ago keeps on going tomorrow. We fund
- 7:27Speaker 3: everything at exactly the same levels. We change nothing, We
- 7:30Speaker 3: just keep the lights on. We don't shut the government down.
- 7:33Speaker 3: We keep going. That's what the House passed. Now, when
- 7:37Speaker 3: Joe Biden was president, do you know how many times
- 7:41Speaker 3: Republicans worked with Democrats to pass a clean CR and
- 7:44Speaker 3: keep the government open for Joe Biden?
- 7:47Speaker 1: More than a dozen if I remember correctly.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Thirteen thirteen times the House is passed a clean CR
- 7:53Speaker 3: the Senate. We voted repeatedly on the clean CR. If
- 7:56Speaker 3: the Democrats voted yes, boom, the government would stay open.
- 8:00Speaker 3: What they've done instead is they have not a clean CR.
- 8:04Speaker 3: They have a CR that keeps government open. But it
- 8:06Speaker 3: also repeals major portions of the One Big Beautiful Bill
- 8:11Speaker 3: and in particular provides for healthcare free taxpayer healthcare for illegals. Now,
- 8:15Speaker 3: let me read you the text from the Democrat CR.
- 8:19Speaker 3: On page fifty six of the Democrat R. It says,
- 8:22Speaker 3: Subtitle B of Title seven of the Act, titled an
- 8:25Speaker 3: Act to Provide for Reconciliation pursuant to Title two of
- 8:29Speaker 3: h Conreds fourteen Public Law one nineteen twenty one, is repealed,
- 8:34Speaker 3: and any law or regulation referred to in such subtitles
- 8:37Speaker 3: shall be applied as if such subtitle and the amendments
- 8:40Speaker 3: made by such subtitle had not been enacted. In no
- 8:44Speaker 3: event shall payment be made to a state under this
- 8:47Speaker 3: section for medical assistance furnished to an individual unless such
- 8:50Speaker 3: individual is a a resident of one of the fifty States,
- 8:53Speaker 3: the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States,
- 8:55Speaker 3: and b either a citizen or national of the United States,
- 9:00Speaker 3: or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residency. That's the
- 9:05Speaker 3: language they're repealing. It says you have to be a
- 9:08Speaker 3: US citizen or a legal immigrant to be eligible for medicaid.
- 9:12Speaker 3: That's the language they want to repeal. I'll tell you
- 9:13Speaker 3: what else they want to repeal. They want to repeal
- 9:16Speaker 3: section seven to one to one zero nine, entitled Alien
- 9:20Speaker 3: Medicaid Eligibility. That's further language that makes clear that illegal
- 9:24Speaker 3: aliens are not eligible for Medicaid. They also want to
- 9:27Speaker 3: eliminate section seven one two oh one, limiting medicaid coverage
- 9:32Speaker 3: of certain individuals. They want to eliminate section seventy one
- 9:35Speaker 3: to three to OZHO three, requiring verification of eligibility for
- 9:39Speaker 3: premium tax credit. All of that is what they're trying
- 9:44Speaker 3: to get rid of. That's number one on the express
- 9:47Speaker 3: terms of what they're doing. Here's a second point. Every
- 9:52Speaker 3: time you see a Democrat or anyone from the corporate
- 9:56Speaker 3: media aligning to you and say Democrats don't want to
- 9:59Speaker 3: prove free health care free illegals, I want you to
- 10:03Speaker 3: remember the debate in the presidential election with all the
- 10:08Speaker 3: Democrat candidates. Now, for those of you watching on YouTube,
- 10:12Speaker 3: you're about to see it. But if you're not watching
- 10:13Speaker 3: on YouTube, just listen and we'll describe what happens here.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Give a listen and give a watch.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Raise your handed government, if your government plan would provide
- 10:21Speaker 2: coverage for undocumented immigrants.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's everybody center everyday for those of.
- 10:31Speaker 3: You all just listening, listening on radio or listening on podcasts.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Every single Democrat candidate, every one of them, raise their hand.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Poor Joe Biden, he looks around, he's a little sort
- 10:41Speaker 3: of scared, and he's the last one whose hands shakily
- 10:43Speaker 3: goes up when he realizes, uh oh, my party is
- 10:46Speaker 3: now all crazy people. This is what we have to say.
- 10:49Speaker 3: So just I promise you, if you turn on the TV,
- 10:53Speaker 3: you're going to see Democrats lying to you saying we
- 10:55Speaker 3: don't want health care free illegals. All of them. There
- 10:59Speaker 3: was not a single candidate for president who disagreed. That
- 11:03Speaker 3: is the position of the party across the board. But
- 11:07Speaker 3: here's argument number three. If they didn't want free health
- 11:13Speaker 3: care for illegals, why are they shutting down the government
- 11:18Speaker 3: that they say right now? Well, existing law prohibits providing
- 11:24Speaker 3: health care to illegals, and they're deliberately lying to you.
- 11:29Speaker 3: If that's true, why would they want to repeal the
- 11:32Speaker 3: language from the Reconciliation bill that blocked illegals from getting
- 11:36Speaker 3: the benefits. The reason they're going all in, the reason
- 11:39Speaker 3: they're willing to shut the entire federal government down, is
- 11:43Speaker 3: they've made the decision that their party is all about
- 11:48Speaker 3: open borders and free stuff for everyone, especially illegals. I
- 11:52Speaker 3: don't understand why. I genuinely don't understand why today's Democrats
- 11:57Speaker 3: have decided they care more about helping illegal immigrants in
- 12:00Speaker 3: this country and in some instances, violent criminals and gangbangers,
- 12:04Speaker 3: then they do American taxpayers. Then they do American citizens
- 12:08Speaker 3: who go and work hard, provide for their family, pay taxes.
- 12:11Speaker 3: And apparently they do all of that in order to
- 12:17Speaker 3: give free health care to illegals. And by the way,
- 12:19Speaker 3: remember this also, you know, because they admit it, both
- 12:24Speaker 3: California and New York provide free health care to illegals.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Gavin Newsom campaigned on this. He was very proud of
- 12:29Speaker 3: saying We're going to give free health care to illegals.
- 12:32Speaker 3: And here's one of the games that Senate Democrats are
- 12:35Speaker 3: playing is California says it pays for the health care
- 12:39Speaker 3: for illegals with state funds, but money is fungible, and
- 12:43Speaker 3: so the federal government is flowing money into California, they
- 12:46Speaker 3: use it, they fill one bucket with it, and they
- 12:49Speaker 3: use state money for the illegals. But it all goes
- 12:51Speaker 3: to the same effect. That is why the Democrats are
- 12:56Speaker 3: willing to force a government shutdown, and they have forced
- 12:58Speaker 3: to government shut down because the eligibility requirements of the
- 13:05Speaker 3: One Big Beautiful Bill have real teeth to them, and
- 13:08Speaker 3: the Democrats are panicking about it. If they had no teeth,
- 13:12Speaker 3: if this wasn't happening, why would they throw this gigantic fight.
- 13:17Speaker 3: It makes no sense. And the Democrats know this.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they certainly do as well.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And this goes back to why I think it's shocking
- 13:26Speaker 2: Democrats are still digging in on this shutdown center, and
- 13:29Speaker 2: that is because the American people are not behind this.
- 13:32Speaker 1: They don't support it.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Even almost fifty percent of Democrats it's upper forties now
- 13:38Speaker 2: of Democrats say they're not in favor of this shutdown.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So this really does go back to what you and
- 13:44Speaker 2: I were talking about a moment ago. This is all
- 13:46Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer's shutting down the US government to try to
- 13:50Speaker 2: save his own political future.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Look, that is exactly right. And if you're not inclined
- 13:57Speaker 3: to believe me, if you're not inclined to believe Ben,
- 14:00Speaker 3: take a listen to Chris Cuomo fact checking the Democrat
- 14:03Speaker 3: lies on.
- 14:03Speaker 5: This is not true.
- 14:06Speaker 4: The Republican partisan spending bill that they introduced is not clean. Well,
- 14:11Speaker 4: first of all, let's be clear, it's not a clean bill.
- 14:14Speaker 4: It's a dirty bill. Well, that's all a lie. It's
- 14:16Speaker 4: not a clean continuing resolution.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Listen, I like how keem Jeffries. I think he's got
- 14:21Speaker 5: an amazing future. He's got better fights than this. This
- 14:26Speaker 5: is a clean CR. What does that mean? By the way,
- 14:29Speaker 5: continuing resolution instead of passing a real budget like they should,
- 14:32Speaker 5: this just says, hey, remember the last one, let's just
- 14:35Speaker 5: continue at those levels again, all right. Now. That may
- 14:39Speaker 5: mean that certain people who should get less won't, certain
- 14:42Speaker 5: people who need more won't, But a clean CR means
- 14:45Speaker 5: that this is an extension from the last set of
- 14:48Speaker 5: in this case, Biden's spending levels. Okay, that's what a
- 14:52Speaker 5: clean CR is. This is a clean CR. Wait a minute,
- 14:54Speaker 5: Cuomo disagrees with Jeffries. Jeffries must be right. Don't take
- 14:58Speaker 5: my word, take the word. I'm a nonpartisan committee for
- 15:01Speaker 5: a responsible federal budget. They say this is about as
- 15:04Speaker 5: clean ACR as you could get. Okay, again, it's a
- 15:08Speaker 5: continuation of a March stopgap measure.
- 15:12Speaker 2: This is literally going and saying we're going to keep
- 15:14Speaker 2: Joe Biden's budget. Like that's the easiest way I can
- 15:17Speaker 2: describe this and understand.
- 15:20Speaker 3: That is Chris Cuomo. That is former CNN primetime star.
- 15:24Speaker 3: That is loud, vocal Democrat Chris Cuomo saying, Hakeem Jeffries,
- 15:31Speaker 3: the Democrat leader in the House, is lying to you
- 15:34Speaker 3: because you know what he is. He's gas lighting. And
- 15:39Speaker 3: kudos to Chris Cuomo for having the guts to speak
- 15:42Speaker 3: the truth. I wish his old colleagues at CNN could
- 15:45Speaker 3: follow suit.
- 15:47Speaker 2: All right, I want to move to something else, and
- 15:49Speaker 2: that's really important. The Senate Judiciary is having a big
- 15:53Speaker 2: hearing and it deals with blue city chaos, democratic run cities.
- 15:58Speaker 2: The report that's out now is pretty cool. Are the
- 16:00Speaker 2: top twenty most crime ridden cities. Eighteen of them are
- 16:05Speaker 2: controlled by left wing hard court Democrats, and you guys
- 16:09Speaker 2: are now looking into this, So what does this actually mean.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Well, this week the Judiciary Committee held a hearing on
- 16:16Speaker 3: out of control crime in Democrat cities, and it really
- 16:19Speaker 3: is horrific the policies. It turns out, when you let
- 16:23Speaker 3: violent criminals go, when you undermine the police, when you
- 16:25Speaker 3: put in place prosecutors who won't prosecute crime, you get
- 16:29Speaker 3: more crime. This summer, the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley's
- 16:33Speaker 3: the chairman, put out a report that showed that the
- 16:36Speaker 3: Biden Department of Justice sent taxpayer funded grants to Soros
- 16:41Speaker 3: backed soft on crime and goos. And in particular, here's
- 16:46Speaker 3: what the report said. Under the Biden Harris administration, the
- 16:48Speaker 3: Vera Institute was awarded millions of taxpayer dollars to prop
- 16:52Speaker 3: up left wing district attorneys who would then partner with
- 16:56Speaker 3: the Vera Institute to implement Soros backed progressive policies. These
- 17:00Speaker 3: policies included prioritizing violent criminals over victims and declining to
- 17:05Speaker 3: fully prosecute felony charges including assault, kidnapping, rape, and murder.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And here's some of the key findings from the report.
- 17:14Speaker 3: In New York, New York County DA Alvin Bragg partnered
- 17:17Speaker 3: with the VERA Institute and declined to prosecute certain misdemeanor felonies,
- 17:22Speaker 3: actively working to downgrade felony charges to misdemeanors, and refused
- 17:26Speaker 3: to detain criminals before their trials. Meanwhile, Bragg attempted to
- 17:30Speaker 3: prosecute President Donald Trump for federal campaign finance violations. In
- 17:36Speaker 3: the year twenty twenty five, there were over forty eight
- 17:40Speaker 3: thousand individuals arrested for misdemeanors in New York County WOW,
- 17:46Speaker 3: but only three thousand of them were detained. Forty eight
- 17:49Speaker 3: thousand arrested, three thousand detained. In Georgia, Athens, DA Debor
- 17:54Speaker 3: Gonzalez partnered with the vere Institute and pledged to protect
- 17:58Speaker 3: illegal immigrant defendants and release criminals on bonds that do
- 18:03Speaker 3: not require the posting of money. In Wisconsin, Milwaukee DA
- 18:08Speaker 3: John Chisholm partnered with VERI Institute to implement progressive, soft
- 18:12Speaker 3: on crime policies and reportedly told the Milwaukee Sentinel Journey quote,
- 18:17Speaker 3: is there going to be an individual I divert or
- 18:19Speaker 3: who I put into a treatment program who's going to
- 18:22Speaker 3: go out and kill somebody? You bet? That is the
- 18:26Speaker 3: Soros DA bragging he's going to release criminals who murder people,
- 18:31Speaker 3: and in twenty twenty, the Milwaukee DA's office released a
- 18:35Speaker 3: criminal twice before he ultimately drove an suv through a
- 18:39Speaker 3: Christmas parade, killing six and injuring sixty two others. This
- 18:45Speaker 3: pattern is happening over and over and over again. What
- 18:48Speaker 3: is amazing is the Democrats are not learning. They're not saying, gosh,
- 18:53Speaker 3: maybe we should stop siding with the criminals. Instead, they're
- 18:56Speaker 3: doubling down.
- 18:58Speaker 1: They're doubling down. And you see these stories that pop up.
- 19:00Speaker 2: And there was one dad that went before Congress to
- 19:04Speaker 2: testify about his daughter and just how many times the
- 19:08Speaker 2: man that killed his daughter, that took his daughter's life
- 19:11Speaker 2: had been arrested and released. And if you didn't hear that,
- 19:15Speaker 2: people should go listen to it because I think it's
- 19:17Speaker 2: really important. But we're seeing this happen where criminals are
- 19:20Speaker 2: being caught and released dozens of times, like dozens of
- 19:25Speaker 2: Time Center and they're just like, yeah, so what they
- 19:28Speaker 2: go out and then they kill somebody, like Okay, maybe
- 19:30Speaker 2: we should have guess locked that guy up.
- 19:31Speaker 1: My bad. It's insane.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Well, and here was a portion of the hearing this week,
- 19:36Speaker 3: Give a listen prosecute violet criminals. Innocent victims die right
- 19:43Speaker 3: here in Washington, d C. In twenty twelve, murders in
- 19:46Speaker 3: DC totaled fewer than one hundred. By twenty twenty three,
- 19:50Speaker 3: murders had nearly tripled, two hundred and seventy four lives
- 19:55Speaker 3: taken in a single year. These are the real world
- 19:58Speaker 3: consequences of Democrat crime policies that let murderers go.
- 20:04Speaker 2: And the policy, to be clear center is a simple one.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Das were instructed when they took money basically from Sorus.
- 20:11Speaker 1: They're bought and paid for by Soros.
- 20:13Speaker 2: And what they were instructed to do was to have
- 20:16Speaker 2: prison reform and bail reform.
- 20:18Speaker 1: They wanted people out of the prisons.
- 20:20Speaker 2: They didn't want Peo to go to prisons, they didn't
- 20:22Speaker 2: want people to be held in prison because of bail,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and so that is part of what they're advocating for here.
- 20:29Speaker 3: It's comprehensive and it's at every stage. It's a left
- 20:32Speaker 3: wing agenda that wants to number one, abolish the police,
- 20:34Speaker 3: wants to defund the police. And by the way, that's
- 20:37Speaker 3: not just empty rhetoric. If you look at jurisdictions across
- 20:40Speaker 3: the country in Minneapolis, they slashed funding for the police department.
- 20:44Speaker 3: In New York City, the NYPD, they cut over a
- 20:46Speaker 3: billion dollars from the NYPD's budget. In Austin, Texas, our
- 20:51Speaker 3: home state, one hundred and fifty million dollars cut from
- 20:54Speaker 3: the police department. So that's one way they do it
- 20:57Speaker 3: is they attack the police directly to wanting to e
- 21:00Speaker 3: they abolish or defund the police. But secondly they go
- 21:02Speaker 3: after DA's and George Soros has spent tens of millions
- 21:06Speaker 3: of dollars funding DA campaigns for radicals who've gotten elected
- 21:11Speaker 3: in many major cities across the country. And when they
- 21:14Speaker 3: get in, they refuse to prosecute violent criminals. They downgrade
- 21:18Speaker 3: felonies to misdemeanors, they abolish cash bail. So they catch
- 21:21Speaker 3: a murderer, they let them go. They catch a violent criminal,
- 21:23Speaker 3: they let them go. Here's another portion from the hearing.
- 21:28Speaker 3: You know, it's clear from this hearing the Democrat talking
- 21:30Speaker 3: points have come out. Both Senator Padilla and Senator Booker
- 21:34Speaker 3: spent a great deal of time talking about quote red
- 21:36Speaker 3: states as a reason they were talking about red states
- 21:39Speaker 3: because unfortunately, most red states had blue cities and that's
- 21:43Speaker 3: where the crime is. If you want to look at
- 21:45Speaker 3: in twenty twenty three the large cities with the most
- 21:48Speaker 3: homicides per one hundred thousand people, Number one was New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Number two was Memphis, Tennessee. Number three was Saint Louis City.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Number four was Baltimore City. Number five was Washington, DC.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Democrat crime policies kill people. Soros das who let murderers
- 22:05Speaker 3: out of jail kill people.
- 22:07Speaker 2: So when you look at this being exposed the way
- 22:10Speaker 2: that you guys are doing it, what is going to
- 22:13Speaker 2: be the mechanism that can obviously help stop this from happening?
- 22:17Speaker 2: And how can Congress use that leverage?
- 22:20Speaker 3: Well, there are lots of things we can do. One
- 22:22Speaker 3: is what President Trump has done, which is he sent
- 22:24Speaker 3: the National Guard to Washington, DC. And the result of
- 22:27Speaker 3: that is the crime rates of plummet. The plummeted. The
- 22:29Speaker 3: murder rates have dropped fifty eight percent. Now you would
- 22:33Speaker 3: think rational people, If Democrats were rational people, they'd be celebrating, Wow,
- 22:39Speaker 3: the murder rate has plummeted. That means people are alive
- 22:42Speaker 3: because the National Guard is they're stopping murders, but they're not.
- 22:45Speaker 3: They're furious and I'll tell you. In the wake of
- 22:49Speaker 3: George Floyd dying, the DC City Council passed a soft
- 22:54Speaker 3: on crime package of legislation that lessened the penalty for
- 22:58Speaker 3: violent crime across the board, that tied the police hands
- 23:02Speaker 3: and made it much much harder to prosecute crime. And
- 23:05Speaker 3: the result was crime rose dramatically, carjacking and violent crime
- 23:09Speaker 3: rose dramatically. I've introduced legislation in the Senate called the
- 23:13Speaker 3: Clean DC Act. The Clean DC Act reverses those twenty
- 23:16Speaker 3: twenty two laws. It reinstates tougher penalties on violent crimes,
- 23:21Speaker 3: and it allows the police to actually go after the
- 23:24Speaker 3: violent criminals. At the hearing, the head of the DC
- 23:27Speaker 3: Police Union testified and he explicitly asked the Senate to
- 23:32Speaker 3: pass my legislation. Pass the Clean DC Act. Give a
- 23:35Speaker 3: listen to the head of the DC Police Officers Union.
- 23:39Speaker 6: That is why we also support the Clean DC Act.
- 23:42Speaker 6: It begins the process of undoing harmful legislation, restoring balance,
- 23:45Speaker 6: and rebuilding MPD strength. This is not just a DC issue.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Other cities that embrace the same policies are now facing
- 23:52Speaker 6: the same consequences. The lesson is clear. When leaders attack
- 23:55Speaker 6: police communities suffer when lawmakers strip away tools and protect actions,
- 24:00Speaker 6: criminals thrive. If this is not corrected, the crisis will
- 24:04Speaker 6: deepen here and nationwide. Urge Congress to act, support the
- 24:08Speaker 6: Clean DC Act, roll backfield legislation, and work with law
- 24:12Speaker 6: enforcement instead of against US officers want nothing more than
- 24:15Speaker 6: to protect their communities, but they cannot do it alone. Again,
- 24:19Speaker 6: I thank you for the opportunity to testify, and I
- 24:21Speaker 6: welcome any questions the committee may have.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 24:23Speaker 2: One of the things Centaer I like about where you
- 24:25Speaker 2: guys are going with this is that this is not
- 24:28Speaker 2: going to be a short term thing. This is actual
- 24:31Speaker 2: reform you are advocating for to make sure that these
- 24:34Speaker 2: cities don't go back to these liberal policies where innocent
- 24:37Speaker 2: people are dying every single day.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Now, that's exactly right. And the first obligation, the first
- 24:44Speaker 3: obligation the president, the commander in chief has is to
- 24:46Speaker 3: protect this nation, to keep us safe. The first obligation
- 24:50Speaker 3: really every elected official should put front and center is
- 24:53Speaker 3: protecting the health and safety of the men and women
- 24:55Speaker 3: you're elected to represent. And you know it is striking
- 24:59Speaker 3: just we talked about a minute ago with the shutdown
- 25:03Speaker 3: where the Democrats are engaged in gaslighting. You heard in
- 25:06Speaker 3: the segment I was talking about what both Corey Booker
- 25:09Speaker 3: and Alex Padilla said in that hearing where they both
- 25:12Speaker 3: had talking points almost exactly the same, where they said, well,
- 25:15Speaker 3: you know, there are bad crime stats in a bunch
- 25:18Speaker 3: of red states, and they went through a bunch of
- 25:20Speaker 3: red states, and then they're right, there are red states
- 25:22Speaker 3: where the crime stats are problematic. My response, which they
- 25:26Speaker 3: have no refutation to, is that is entirely driven by
- 25:30Speaker 3: the blue cities and those red states that are governed
- 25:33Speaker 3: by left wing Democrat mayors and left wing Democrat DA's
- 25:36Speaker 3: who refuse to prosecute violent crime. And so yes, look, Memphis,
- 25:40Speaker 3: Tennessee was number two on the list. Now Tennessee is
- 25:43Speaker 3: a red state. But you know, God help you if
- 25:46Speaker 3: you live in Memphis when you have local officials who
- 25:48Speaker 3: will not prosecute the bad guys. And that that's true
- 25:51Speaker 3: in Baltimore, that's true in New Orleans, that's true in Washington, DC.
- 25:55Speaker 3: And rather than address it and admit it and fix it,
- 25:58Speaker 3: the Democrats are trying to distract people by engaging in
- 26:03Speaker 3: dishonest rhetoric.
- 26:05Speaker 2: The left wing crimes cistics center are brutal BLM protests.
- 26:09Speaker 2: For example, twenty twenty, there are over ten thousand demonstrations
- 26:14Speaker 2: and cause one to two billion and ensured property damage.
- 26:17Speaker 2: According to Axios, this is the most expensive civil disorder
- 26:22Speaker 2: in US history. There were also nineteen Americans into the
- 26:27Speaker 2: conservative numbers, who died directly caused by the demonstrations, And
- 26:32Speaker 2: that's another data point that the left in the media
- 26:35Speaker 2: does not want to talk about. But if you look
- 26:37Speaker 2: at this and you see what the Democrats have done
- 26:41Speaker 2: to our cities, and the fact that this has all
- 26:44Speaker 2: been i think bought and paid for, funneled money going
- 26:48Speaker 2: into these groups that are advocating for this type of
- 26:51Speaker 2: organized violence. That's the other thing that scares the hell
- 26:54Speaker 2: out of me.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Well, and I want to draw a linkage between each
- 26:58Speaker 3: of the stories we're talking about today, which is that
- 27:02Speaker 3: we see left wing policies that undermine law enforcement, that
- 27:08Speaker 3: seek to abolish or defund the police, that put Soros
- 27:11Speaker 3: prosecutors in office, that release violent criminals, and you see
- 27:14Speaker 3: the result being more and more violent crime. You then
- 27:18Speaker 3: see democrats engaging rhetoric to obfuscate, to hide that, to
- 27:23Speaker 3: pretend it's not happening. But you also see the left
- 27:27Speaker 3: engaging in increasingly angry rhetoric demonizing their opponents. And if
- 27:32Speaker 3: you look at ideologically motivated crime, the vast majority of
- 27:38Speaker 3: it violence that is ideologically motivated, the overwhelming majority is
- 27:42Speaker 3: on the left. As you mentioned, the BLM riots all
- 27:45Speaker 3: across the country, American cities burned all across the country,
- 27:49Speaker 3: not just that. You look at the anti Semitic, anti
- 27:51Speaker 3: Israel campus protests. Those were leftists, those were anarchists, those
- 27:54Speaker 3: were Jihadis, those were communists. All across the country. Over
- 27:58Speaker 3: two thousand and three hundered anti Semitic incidents reported on campuses,
- 28:03Speaker 3: which is, by the way, the highest ever recorded. That
- 28:05Speaker 3: was in twenty twenty four and twenty twenty five. The
- 28:08Speaker 3: La riots this year twenty twenty five, seventeen people injured,
- 28:12Speaker 3: a state of emergency in La County. The city reports
- 28:15Speaker 3: nineteen point seven million cost as of mid June.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Wow.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Of course, President Trump the target of two assassination attempts. Tragically,
- 28:23Speaker 3: our friend Charlie Kirk successfully murdered in a horrific assassination.
- 28:29Speaker 3: This pattern that the murderer who flew from California to
- 28:33Speaker 3: Maryland and to murdered Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Thankfully he was
- 28:36Speaker 3: arrested by the police before he could carry out that
- 28:39Speaker 3: heinous act. And by the way, you go back to
- 28:43Speaker 3: twenty seventeen when a gunman came to Washington, d C.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Looking for elected Republicans to murder, went to the congressional
- 28:50Speaker 3: baseball practice and opened fire, hitting multiple elected Republicans, nearly
- 28:56Speaker 3: killing Steve Scalise. Had the bullet been an inch one
- 28:59Speaker 3: side of the other, Steve, a good friend, would have
- 29:02Speaker 3: been killed that day. Instead, he was injured badly. Thankfully
- 29:05Speaker 3: he survived. This pattern is happening over and over and
- 29:09Speaker 3: over again, and there's a direct connection between the demonization.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Look when Charlie Kirk was murdered, far too many on
- 29:18Speaker 3: the left celebrated, cheered it on. When Luigi the nutcase
- 29:23Speaker 3: murdered the CEO of health insurance company, supposedly respected members
- 29:28Speaker 3: of the media celebrated leftister getting his face tattooed on them.
- 29:32Speaker 3: They celebrate violence, and this week we saw two more
- 29:37Speaker 3: instances happen. We saw number one Immigration and Customs enforcement
- 29:42Speaker 3: agents targeted in two separate car attacks during enforcement actions
- 29:47Speaker 3: in Chicago this past week. Two different car attacks. It
- 29:51Speaker 3: turns out that when Democrats demonize Ice, when they call
- 29:54Speaker 3: him Nazis, as the Democrats have done over and over
- 29:58Speaker 3: and over again. Our last podcast played a whole clip
- 30:01Speaker 3: of Democrats calling Ice and law enforcement Nazis and gestapos.
- 30:05Speaker 3: That turnout, when you use that kind of language, there
- 30:10Speaker 3: are lunatics who listen to it and move to violence.
- 30:13Speaker 3: As you know, I was on the ground in Dallas,
- 30:15Speaker 3: uh and and was on site within minutes of the
- 30:18Speaker 3: sniper attack at the ICE facility in Dallas by a
- 30:21Speaker 3: deranged leftist who wrote who wrote wrote his his left
- 30:26Speaker 3: wing agenda on the shellcasings, emulating what Charlie Kirk's murder
- 30:32Speaker 3: had done. This pattern is happening over and over and
- 30:36Speaker 3: over again, and I got to say it's Bet Bennett's disturbing.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I don't see I don't see many Democrats modulating their rhetoric.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Gavin Niterson just this week called Steve Miller, the deputy
- 30:51Speaker 3: White House Chief of Staff, a fascist, using the same
- 30:53Speaker 3: language that that that motivated, among others, the murderers of
- 30:58Speaker 3: Charlie Kirk. And they keep doubling and doubling down and
- 31:01Speaker 3: doubling down, and they know more ICE agents are going
- 31:03Speaker 3: to be targeted. They know more police are going to
- 31:05Speaker 3: be targeted. And I want to be clear about something
- 31:08Speaker 3: because some will say, well, gosh, there are crazies on
- 31:12Speaker 3: the right who commit violence, and that's true, but if
- 31:16Speaker 3: you look at ideologically motivated violence, the crazies on the
- 31:19Speaker 3: right who commit violence are usually just mentally deranged people. So,
- 31:25Speaker 3: or to put it a little different, liberals can be
- 31:28Speaker 3: the victims of violence as well. So Nancy Pelosi's husband
- 31:31Speaker 3: was attacked by a deranged, mentally ill person with a hammer.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Now that was tragic, but I would not describe that
- 31:40Speaker 3: as ideologically motivated violence. He was simply a victim of
- 31:46Speaker 3: a mentally ill person engaging in an active violence, and
- 31:48Speaker 3: that's horrific. And there's a difference. You and I didn't
- 31:51Speaker 3: celebrate that. Nobody. Violence is never, never, never, right. And
- 31:55Speaker 3: the difference is the left celebrates it far too often,
- 31:58Speaker 3: encourages it on the front end, celebrates it on the
- 32:00Speaker 3: back end where it whereas any principal conservative I know
- 32:04Speaker 3: it will condemn violence across the board say do not
- 32:06Speaker 3: engage in violence. And compare the difference of the reaction
- 32:10Speaker 3: when George Floyd died and you had violent riots and
- 32:13Speaker 3: fires across the country. Compared to when Charlie Kirk was murdered,
- 32:16Speaker 3: and you had candlelight vigils and prayer vigils, and the
- 32:19Speaker 3: violence was from the leftist attacking people praying and holding
- 32:23Speaker 3: up candles.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well, and not only that, you even had Democrats
- 32:26Speaker 2: this week attacking Jeffries talking about those that went to
- 32:30Speaker 2: the Republican Convention as being like extremists.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I mean, they're not dialing this.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Supervillains. Supervillains is what he called the inauguration.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, excuse me, the inauguration. Yeah, he talked about
- 32:41Speaker 2: the inauguration. He said that there was a super villain convention.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And that is them not downplaying this. That is him
- 32:48Speaker 2: ratching it up, knowing that we just left Charlie Kirk's
- 32:52Speaker 2: funeral from being at.
- 32:54Speaker 3: And the hate on the left. It is directed at conservatives,
- 32:57Speaker 3: it is directed at capitalism, it is directed at American
- 33:00Speaker 3: but it's also viciously antisemitic and on Young Yong Gapour
- 33:04Speaker 3: in Manchester, a a Syrian Assyrian ironically, uh with the
- 33:14Speaker 3: name wait wait for it, what was the name? What
- 33:16Speaker 3: was the name of this murder? His name is Jahad
- 33:20Speaker 3: al Shami and and he he targeted worshippers at a
- 33:27Speaker 3: synagogue on Young Kapoor Uh. This pattern is happening over
- 33:34Speaker 3: and over and over again, and it's wrong and we
- 33:37Speaker 3: need to stand against it.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I am into that. Don't forget.
- 33:40Speaker 2: We do this show as a podcast three days a week,
