- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: How are you doing guys?
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate you.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go and have a great.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's happened.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: How are you guys?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: How are you doing, Filling?
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm great.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't complain.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: How about you?
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get bloody.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: OK. Why?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: About what?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, when I complain about.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Who would listen?
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: We do.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: I always listen, buddy.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: I have not let's complain about you you you come on here like I asked I'm not the complain about I have not the complain about Okay, you know, I'm good my team is in the right direction we're good You're right, but it's not like we're zander in the Wow Why don't listen to what they have to say so listen hold on here now get this We're gonna go back and forth here So I'm gonna ask you the question that I started out with zander today so while last few mark Do you believe your team
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: will be a Super Bowl contending team heading into 2000 in 2006.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're following me here.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: You signed an edge rusher like Crosby, okay?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: You'll get Crosby on that side at a ball.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: You've improved your defense.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: You keep pickins.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Your offense was number one in national football league.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you get your defense to 15th, instead of being the shitty 30 second,
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: How do you not look at yourself as a social contender?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you're putting no scenarios there, then you have to.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: You would have to say that they would be a Super Bowl contender.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: But we're talking about the Cowboys and Jerry Jones.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: Will they do anything?
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm wrong.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you got better this year.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you didn't care.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: We got younger, but the defense, of course, was just a complete food screw.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if we can get the defense to 15 and get ourselves some tackles and keep George Pickins, yeah, that team you would have to look at it and say, you are because the difference between the teams that are there if you had that to them, you're not far away.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you did a few equals one time with the Sarias defense that we had.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Mark did see pros via the Dallas airport, right?
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: The Dallas was going to get them then.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: They was at the airport in Dallas, Mark.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Break it down.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, wait.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's not what we did in the airport.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's not what we did in the airport.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was with tattoos.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I like that.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what, though, Mark.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: So Christian Parker's here, right?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: What if he adds a Kobe Dean and Jalen Phillips to your defense?
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: That would definitely help.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: We need, okay, you know, Zander was saying, yeah, if they had Max Cross me, but we've got problems across the board.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: We definitely need nine backers, and the Kobe Dean would be definitely an upgrade.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Overshone should be better having the offseason now coming back from the ACL or actually complete knee rebuild, but we're still need help in the secondary as well.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, yes, there are some positive things out there.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how fully 500 would like seeing that happen, seeing the Kobe come to Dallas.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: with Christian Park.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: So let me, let me go to the man here then.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Do you believe right now, Philly, that you're sitting right now?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look, we're going to change this up because obviously March 11th, we start the new year in the NFL.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's free agency begins also to the April 23rd, drafts coming up and about 79 days or so.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: March 11th is right around the corner.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about, we haven't even had the Super Bowl yet.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a tag.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: That shows you how the NFL works so fast.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Do you believe right now on February 4th?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Jerome Brown's birthday, do you believe that you are a Super Bowl contending roster?
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: Do I believe the Eagles are?
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they were one last year as well.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they got the most out of the talent that they had, but from a talent perspective, I do.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now, a lot's got to happen this whole season, but right now where we stand where the roster is right now on a team?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think they are, but a lot's got to happen.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: How about this, too, Philly?
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: You believe that Landa Dickerson is going to bounce back.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know, I looked up his injury history.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's got 13 injuries and surgeries that he's had
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, why am I to believe that he's going to be getting healthier or better when this will be number 14, the Cam Jurgen's is an issue.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: Can't jargon scares me more than land in land and like you said he's come back from injuries before so he's kind of he's kind of done it can worries me Lane if Lane's healthy.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think he'll be alright another year if he comes back, but You know if we're judging it today in the roster today he's still playing so I think he'll be fine, but they I mean they got work to do.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: There's still question about it Mark
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is 11th year coming up for DAC, right?
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is year 11.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Is DAC ever going to win a Super Bowl in Dallas?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good question.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you listen to Jerry Jones, he wants to retire with more Super Bowl wins than anybody else.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess he's never retiring.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: The Cowboys could put together a team if they want to.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's not, I don't think it's ever been a can day.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's really will day.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: If they flip the triggers on DAX, CD, and Quentin Williams, and you can go down the line, they can get $120 million of cap space.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: very easily.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: Will the Cowboys actually be a player?
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they talk the talk, but, you know, the first week, two weeks of free agency, usually they're on vacation.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, if they don't, no, they won't win one.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to have to.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Do you believe that the failures of the Cowboys in the postseason have been non-dacc-related?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Some are and some aren't, you know, DAC did not have a great game with San Francisco, but he's had good ones too.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: The bigger problem is is in the playoffs, you have to stop the run, bottom line.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: And every time we get to the playoffs, we've been not been able to run the football and not been able to stop the run, in which case you put everything on the quarterback and throwing into tight windows when a team knows you can't run is damn near possible when you're playing the league talent.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Philly, look at this here.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Happy, heavenly birthday to one of my favorite Eagles today, is Jerome Brown's birthday today.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And also, how about this one?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Eight years ago today, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Patriots to win the Super Bowl.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: What was your first reaction?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll go out to park what his was.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: What was your first reaction when the Eagles eight years
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to sleep, I don't believe it, I'm not going to sleep.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't sleep for three days because I was so afraid I was going to wake up and it was a dream.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I was afraid to go to sleep because I could not believe that it actually happened.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there were times cheese, right?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was never going to happen.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: So no, it took a couple of days to feel real, that's for sure.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: That stuff, you know, you go back and you remember, seriously, the less the words you say, aren't they stuff like this?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Holy shit, we won.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like that, right?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I saw, I was afraid to go to sleep.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I literally didn't sleep.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: I was coming on here like this.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, because I had not slept, I was like, I'm gonna wake up, this gonna be dream.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing it.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, this is crazy.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: So as a group man, Mark, how did you feel about your nemesis winning their first Super Bowl?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I have to tell you I was there in Minneapolis for that Super Bowl.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and I was right on the aisle seat in opposite of us.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: There was a couple who had been season ticket holders since 1973.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's older couple, you know, they were excited about being there at Super Bowl with their team and hoping that they would win.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: And actually watching them go through the emotions of that game and everything else.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then when they won, just slobbered all over, it's like, oh, man, get a room.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: I actually felt good for them to finally get that.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I knew right then all of the jokes that we had had to go away, you know, the ringless wonders and all that stuff.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I was actually happy for the Eagles when they did win the game.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it reminded me of, it reminded me when the Red Sox won and had, you know, knocked down the curse of the babe, it reminded me of like when the cubs had a hundred years of not winning the world series, you know, it was stuff like that where, dude, I thought my life time too, seeing the Eagles ever win a championship, you know, and who they had gotten there, they got there with for me, and I got there with Andy.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, they're never going to get there.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be like the bangles.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be like one of those teams.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be like the Browns.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're not.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to win it.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: But they did.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, they've continued it, right?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Philly.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, ever since that Super Bowl, they've it's been the best era of football since that Super Bowl night in Minneapolis, right?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, they went to two more since then and they won one.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: So no, it's been great.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I say, let's not stop this train now.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: Let's keep it going.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: So a mark.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to keep it going.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Eagles are going to hire the 33 year old nobody.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: So let me, let me ask you to let me know.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, hey, Philly, this coach has been a coach for 25 months.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's your new O. C. So let me set the room up for Mark kept the two of those actually call plays.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Mixer Eoni's actually call plays.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: The guy Josh Kuzard to pass coordinator was the O. C. Down in Tampa last year.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And so the only guy that's never called plays in that office.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, let me guess the office is not going to be this quarter.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: How do you know?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know what to be honest with you.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think sometimes it's a bit overrated.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: Not not saying that it's not important.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: It is, but I also think you can either do it or you can't do it.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: You can either figure it out or you can't figure it out.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so Nick Syrian Nicole plays, but they have been horrendous.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: But through local plays, but they were horrendous.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to tell me this guy has some upside that he's looked with great eyes around the league.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say give him a chance.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: I like it better than getting met in agony or getting a re-traid guy that's been to multiple places.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: Give me somebody new that can see stuff a little differently.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take a chance on it.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I'm okay with it.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: You can either call plays or you get call plays.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: Easy, they're going to figure it out or it's not.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's how I see it.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Mark the number one area a need in the number one concern in the offseason for the Dallas cowboys is what God, there's so many to narrow down to one.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say Ed Russia.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: We've got to get better on the edges.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't think that kid you got a year ago made enough of an impact.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think he did, but we'll have to wait and see how well he goes.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now with uh it we're looking at probably more five men friends.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like we're probably going to go to a three, four defense, in which case you'll end up becoming an outside linebacker.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it goes in there because that's truly our strength is our defense of line.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to still say you want a beast out there at Edge Rushing.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: If we trade for Max Krause me, hey, great.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: That would be a major step up because we could not put pressure on quarterbacks and we could not take away the football.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: What do you make a kale of downs?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody like that that the cowboys could maybe take a look at a corner there, would you be in some in a room with that because they need some help back there in that secondary too.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: They definitely do.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think in part of the thing that Shot and Humber's talked about is getting guys that can teach that, because they look at a guy like Saban Revell who would have been probably a first round draft pick for sure, heading not towards ACL, but being a raw talent, trying to get to run land back to where he was, you know, a couple years ago, but for the injuries of things.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: But calvedowns would definitely be an upgrade to me.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, you can look at Edge Rush, you can look at linebacker, you can look at cornerback.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Any one of those places are going to improve this defense.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: But them by themselves are not going to be enough.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to go and free agency and you're going to have to bring in some other people and spend some money to really fix this thing.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: Philly, do you believe that how we, you believe how we rose from had a good year last year?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: What do you laugh at a band?
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: What do you laugh at a band?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's always the fluffy question for Mark and it's always left.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to do it again and again.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let me read a little bit.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let me read a little bit.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go by another negative.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're all right.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let me read a little bit.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll save that thing up.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Let me put that over here.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like I give you.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Are you saying I'm saying I've got you here a little bit here?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: What do you do with 23 in your opinion?
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's hilarious, by the way.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me what you do with 23.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Edge, O'Liamond, or is what goes down with AJ Brown dictate that 23rd peck?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: That really, that, that if, if AJ got traded, that could affect it, I think.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm gonna say, and I said this, so far, I think you gotta go offensive line with one of the first two picks.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think you need another right card.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Possibly a center.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I would go offensive line actually over any other position as of right now with AJ getting traded, if he got traded.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I still don't believe that's gonna happen.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: then then I think that could change things a little bit.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: Mark up being accused of throwing softball questions at you right now, I mean, I'm being accused by everybody here now, giving you the softball and railroading of my boy over here, Philly 500.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: After the ride he had, and me just literally getting bent over every week, are you serious?
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Philly, I mean, you know, I guess it was responding.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't saying you quit as man.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I think, okay, how do you think, here look, all up so that I can make that question, I'm going to go back and visit him on, how do you think Jerry Jones did this past season, trading away Michael Parsons, and adding quitting Williams though to your football team and Clark, and I think you got better on defense actually.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: potentially the defense got better.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: And in the problem, of course, of Micah is he's an undersized edge rusher.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: who when you end up getting in playoffs and you have people running at him, it's not not a good fit.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're saying the choice is having make a Parsons who's a game record without a doubt, but not being able to stop the run when it comes playoffs, we weren't going to go anywhere with that defense right there.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think potentially if the Cowboys end up using that number one pick and getting the stud, you have to look at and say Jerry Jones won that trade at the moment, you have to look at it and say Jerry won that trade.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: The whole thing, though, about the coaching staff, Matt Everfus, and that crew.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: that just didn't work, but you're seeing Bryan Shottenheimer is definitely taking the lead on this, and they are very methodical with really turning over every rock trying to find a good coach.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: What do you smile about there there?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm smiling because I've got to make sure that I have a fluffy question here.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not here for Philly, because I don't want to get a gift going through and hanging on that.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Ask me whatever you want.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't care.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: It would ever.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: All right, because you asked me why I was laughing.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I was just trying to hate.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here we go.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: So how do you think how we had this past year?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a little bit of an all-fear to be honest with you.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think winning the Super Bowl, I think.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think they did maybe in some ways one too many moves and in the wrong ways and then in other ways, I think they didn't do enough moves like, for example, I don't think there was any reason to get rid of CJ Garner Johnson.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: I still don't understand that move.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was like one of those moves you didn't need to make.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: They claimed it was for salary cap reasons, but it wasn't.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: In other ways, I just felt like they were already looking for this year.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: They were worried about the big contracts with Carter and they got a signed these guys.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I think they were looking two, two, three years down the road instead of the next year.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it goes a little bit of an all-fier form.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: a kick in or check real quick, your defense was number one, that wasn't your team's problem.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So getting rid of CJ Gardner does not look like a bad move.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like you.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it did look like a bad move because we struggled multiple weeks, yeah, but early in the year, we struggled at the safety position.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: It was a battle that you didn't need to have.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, you know, and then McCuba gets hurt.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: And if you look at the safety plane next to Reed down the stretch, it wasn't great.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, it wasn't good enough.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: It was as bad as my shit was.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but you guys stunk naturally stunk.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't need to read it.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't need to read it.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my, okay, so, but, okay, Philly, you think we've seen the best of jail on hurts?
- 18:44[UNKNOWN]: No.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think I think once and hopefully it will be with this corner or once you get a corner that will actually take the handcuffs off the kid and let them go out and play, I think you are going to see more and I think he's going to take it to another level.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: I hope we're going to I'll tell you this.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: I do believe we're going to find the answer though this year.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to know this year.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the content you that I've been saying this, Mark, you tell me, too.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that this is gonna put Nick Seriani in the bullseye even more, because if this shit's the bad here, you're gonna pull this guy out at the end of 26, do you not agree, Philly?
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if this thing shit's the bad again, by first-year play caller, and this thing doesn't go sideways here, doesn't that give them a better off ramp to because if the reports are right from Jeff McLean from the inquire saying that there was thought process that the owner was gonna fire on twice,
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: You blow this thing here with this talent that you have on the team if that's all in the likelihood that you bring AJ back and you shift the bed here.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Philly.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do that for 26.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: It could be he could be and that may not be the worst thing for us.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to be honest.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think it's possible, but I do think that getting the outside coordinator.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Gainesville body who hopefully will change the office little more.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: I really think it's going to show.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's really going to end as debate whether is Jalen Hurts the quarterback or is it the coaches the quarterback?
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to know.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the one thing that we'll get out of this season is we'll know who's the problem more than anything.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Mark, do you believe Dak Prescott's a better quarterback than Sam Darnl?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: The difference, you can go through a
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: Do you look and say Trevor Lawrence is a better quarterback than backpressed got no man the ninth rated defense Seattle gets takeaways they give you your offense more opportunities good field position and so on.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now that's not to say the same Donald has played great on the spread and he's been playing great in the playoffs he's a really good quarterback he has turned around his career.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: but if you're saying apples and oranges, if it's just quarterback's quarterback, I think that's better.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: How about this though?
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: So in the last two years, he's won 31 ball games.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's 31 and eight.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's 21 one in the playoffs.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's won an NFC championship.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: He did this with two different teams, two different regimes.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was in Minnesota with a completely different personnel, completely different coaching staff,
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: in Seattle.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: See, I think it's more about the organization, Mark.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: Then more about the player, I think organizations don't.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: You keep constantly saying this, right, Philly?
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't Mark say this all the time?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: The Cowboys, you believe, have failed, the Cowboys have failed that, right?
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, I'll put it down in the line that has to apply to Sam Darmal, then too, that those other organizations like the jets.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they don't fail them, too, right?
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's a true statement.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: That is a true statement.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: You can't look at, I mean, with Sam Darnold, Minnesota's defense was really good.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: Filly, do you believe that Jalen Hurts is a better quarterback than Sam Darnl?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think right now you have to say no.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sam Darnl is one of a lot of games in two years and if he goes on to win a Super Bowl, I don't know how you can say that.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now, is it Sam in the same position that Jalen is with this conversation here?
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, no shaded.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: This is not shade on Jalen.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is more shade on the organizations that fail Sam Darnell on where this guy is.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you agree, if you have a top five off, a top five defense.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like the Eagles did a year ago where they won, they were number one.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Sam Darnell could throw four picks, right?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like he did in that Rams game and the first Rams game and almost win that game, they lost by three in that game on the road in Los Angeles.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: So my point is, guys, would you rather have an elite quarterback or would you rather have an efficient quarterback like Hertz and Darnell?
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: in a leap roster.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: To me, I'd rather have the elite roster, right?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, yeah, yeah, but you've got to have a quarterback that can win in those situations and doesn't raise you.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: Donald Donald proved and the big question with Donald was the same question that I had with I have with that presscott.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: Donald had to go out and show that in the playoffs and the big moments he can deliver and he could step up and he did.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think so far now he's got to go finish it off.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: Jalen has gone and finished it off.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: That has not finished it off.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the truth.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's the difference.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: So if you ask me who would I rather have?
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: Donald, Hertz, or a DAC Presca, I'll take Donald and Hertz over the guy that does the wood of the plows every single time.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Look at Mark.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Mark, I want to throw something at ownership to you guys.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to show you something because I brought this up to Zander.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: You want to hear this?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: So since the Super Bowl is going to be 60 years old, the New England Patriots have been to 12 Super Bulls.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's 20 percent.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: of the Super Bowls that have ever been played.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: And since Kraft owned a team in 94, let's sit at this one, Philly, since they owned a team in 94.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: Bob Kraft has been the 37.5% of the Super Bowls, which means every two years, the Patriots have been in the Super Bowl.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll ask you, first Mark, what separates why is Bob Kraft the better owner than Jerry Jones?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: He has football people doing football things instead of putting his hands all over it.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: Jerry Jones has run the Cowboys as a mom and pop shop with his chemical engineer son as the capologist, okay, capboy aka, trying to deal with contract stuff and letting his emotions be in here trying to say, I'm the big dog, I'm the one that's going to win this because of the shadows of Jimmy Johnson.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Philly, why is Bob craft the better owner than Jeffrey Laurie or do you think that?
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, I mean, look, the guy's been to how many Superballs and more and how many 116, I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, you got to give credit or credit to do.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I like Jeff and Lori, I actually think he does a really good job, but I mean, look, Crafts been to what we'll see.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we'll see.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: Can he win?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: Can he finish it with Brady not there?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think having Brady, you can't deny that that helps a lot when you have Tom Brady as well.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: and billball check.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, you know, he, you got to give credit where credit is due, but, you know, let's see what happens on day first.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a more lot.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think Seattle's going to win.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think Seattle's going to win.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, I'll take that back.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's going to be a blow out.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be like 28, 20.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be somewhere near and I'm going to ask you first Mark, where who do you like on Sunday?
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: See, I don't.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to still go back to New England, great record.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: They beat the teams at front of them, but I still go back to that 11 of the games that they played were against teams that fired their coach.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: you didn't have the top quarterbacks that you were playing in facing week after week.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I think with Seattle being a West Coast team, it's, you know, they're used to playing in San Francisco.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that Seattle has the advantages.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: Let me show you the coaching difference guys.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll get to you, Philly here in a minute here.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'll, here's the, get this.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: So you have Mike Rable.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: You have Mike McDowell.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Two savant defensive coaches, head coaches.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: You got Josh McDaniels and Clint Kubiak.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: as your office coordinators.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these might just be the best coach football teams and that's why these guys are also there in the playoffs because we saw coaching matter, right?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: Especially filling in these San Francisco, Philadelphia game, we saw coaching matter.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: What do you like on Sunday, brother?
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm why.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: I like to say, I like to defense and I like the run game.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: I like doing the run the ball.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think your office is pretty balanced attack, and I just think they're going to be too much for the Patriots So I'm taking Seattle.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: Your favorite players birthday today.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: Draw.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: What do you make it at?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: What events?
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you will.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: That would have been, yeah.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: I often wonder what it would have been like if he would have stayed.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: You know, what would have been like?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, very well could have, but man, I still to this day haven't seen anybody like Jerome Brown as far as on the concern.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: He was amazing now.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: I got to give you a story on the Cowboys mark on every time that the Eagles played.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: the Cowboys when Jerome was on the Eagles, and Jimmy was the head coach of the team.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: So those guys never ever really wanted to meet before the game, like before the game and the kickoff.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you know what they would do?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: The night before they would kind of have like,
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: They would have like a meeting that would meet somewhere secretly because these guys had so much love for one another, but they didn't want to show anything on the football field because they're competitive edges.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so one night, Jerome get this drone picks Jimmy up.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Billy, you're going to love this.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: They went to a Mexican place.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're in Dallas right next to campesies.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so they go there.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: So Jimmy he goes I got to go to bathroom.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: So he goes to the bathroom.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: He walks out the back door.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: He leaves Jimmy there.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Jimmy, the guy, the restaurant guy comes in and goes, where'd you go?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: He goes, oh, he left out the back door and said, coach, I'll see you Monday.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: I see his Sunday.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's a boy.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's just my boy.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, damn.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was in Dallas, so, hey, man, those rivalries, you know, the body bag game and all that shit.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that was, that was when really that rivalry was at it's all time high.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, that was great.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: That was great.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody helped each other off the ground.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I loved it, man.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: I hate Dallas.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Go on.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's, let's get some day off, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's, let's,
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a prize.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I mean, I guess they're making and pay for it for the possible cheating and stuff, but yeah, it's crazy.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think they couldn't not put bullet check in and then turn around and put craft it because you can't look at one without the other.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: So then does it make it a sense either way, because you've got the winning is owner and the winning is coach that they're not first about all famous so wait a minute, but that means it has to affect Brady then, too.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: It won't.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's no chance.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: No chance.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: Because he pruned it off to a Tampa Bay.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's got more rings than anybody else.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if they do that, then they need to burn the place down.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: They do need to.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, I appreciate you very much.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, man.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: You got it.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Really five points in the legendary Mark Holmes.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's right.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't put in,
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Brady on the first ballot, they need the burn.
