- 0:01Speaker 1: My fellow Americans, get ready for an incredible future, because
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Golden Age of America has only just begun. It
- 0:10Speaker 1: will be like nothing that has ever been seen before.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Thank you, God bless you, and God bless you.
- 0:18Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning to you, Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:25Speaker 3: there's just one story we're talking about. On today's Morning Update,
- 0:29Speaker 3: the President of the United States of America delivered one
- 0:32Speaker 3: of the most effective and powerful addresses I would argue
- 0:36Speaker 3: in my lifetime. The President wove his early accomplishments into
- 0:39Speaker 3: his agenda and his vision for the future. And for years,
- 0:43Speaker 3: failed politicians have said they needed legislation to secure the border,
- 0:47Speaker 3: especially on the Democratic side. Well, President Trump showed it
- 0:51Speaker 3: was not a matter of legislation, but a matter of will,
- 0:55Speaker 3: and the American people are clearly in favor of the
- 0:58Speaker 3: lowest border cross numbers that have ever been recorded in history.
- 1:03Speaker 3: In February, the President also focused on the issues that
- 1:06Speaker 3: united the country around his campaign and the issues that
- 1:09Speaker 3: will continue, as he put it, to bring the country together,
- 1:13Speaker 3: such as lowering taxes, keeping men out of girls' sports,
- 1:17Speaker 3: restoring American manufacturing, fighting crime in our cities, and restoring
- 1:22Speaker 3: national security. President Trump put a face to the policies
- 1:26Speaker 3: in an emotional and personal way, which is where the
- 1:29Speaker 3: biggest shock of the night came. As Democrats put their
- 1:34Speaker 3: face of anger and radical policies and positions that they
- 1:38Speaker 3: want to divide the country on display. Instead of standing
- 1:42Speaker 3: for things that you would assume everyone could be in
- 1:45Speaker 3: favor of, the Democrats refused to show support for lowering taxes,
- 1:50Speaker 3: fighting child cancer, capturing terrorists, protecting girl athletes, law and order,
- 1:58Speaker 3: and law enforcement officers. And that's just some of the
- 2:02Speaker 3: high whites. So what did the President say? And maybe
- 2:06Speaker 3: you didn't get to see the entire speech, we decide
- 2:09Speaker 3: to put together a montage of the biggest moments of
- 2:12Speaker 3: the night. Here's the President of the United States of America,
- 2:15Speaker 3: Donald J. Trump, in his own words.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I returned to this chamber tonight to report that America's
- 2:22Speaker 1: momentum is back, our spirit is back, our pride is back,
- 2:27Speaker 1: our confidence is back, and the American dream is surging
- 2:30Speaker 1: bigger and better than ever before. How we have ended
- 2:34Speaker 1: weaponized government, where as an example, a sitting president is
- 2:38Speaker 1: allowed to viciously prosecute his political opponent like me. How
- 2:46Speaker 1: did that work out?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Not to?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Not to? Within hours of taking the oath of office,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I declared a national emergency on our southern border, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: I deployed the US military and border patrol through the
- 3:01Speaker 1: invasion of our country. And what a job they've done.
- 3:06Speaker 1: As a result, illegal border crossings last month were by
- 3:10Speaker 1: far the lowest ever recorded ever. To unshackle our economy,
- 3:20Speaker 1: I have directed that for every one new regulation, ten
- 3:24Speaker 1: old regulations must be eliminated, just like I did in
- 3:29Speaker 1: my very successful first day, and I have stopped all
- 3:33Speaker 1: government censorship and brought back free speech.
- 3:37Speaker 2: In America's back.
- 3:41Speaker 1: We've ended the tyranny of so called diversity, equity, and
- 3:45Speaker 1: inclusion policies all across the entire federal government, and indeed
- 3:51Speaker 1: the private sector and our military and our country will
- 4:00Speaker 1: be worked no longer. I also signed an executive order
- 4:06Speaker 1: to ban men from playing in women's sports, and in
- 4:12Speaker 1: the near future, I want to do what has not
- 4:15Speaker 1: been done in twenty four years balance the federal budget.
- 4:20Speaker 2: We're going to balance it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: One point three million people from ages one hundred and
- 4:27Speaker 1: fifty to one hundred and fifty nine and over one
- 4:30Speaker 1: hundred and thirty thousand people according to the Social Security databases,
- 4:38Speaker 1: our age over one hundred and sixty years old. We
- 4:44Speaker 1: have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby, including to
- 4:53Speaker 1: finish one thousand and thirty nine people between the ages
- 4:56Speaker 1: of two hundred and twenty and two hundred and twenty
- 4:58Speaker 1: nine person between the age of two hundred and forty
- 5:02Speaker 1: and two hundred and forty nine, and one person is
- 5:05Speaker 1: listed at three hundred and sixty years of age, more
- 5:11Speaker 1: than one hundred years, more than one hundred years older
- 5:15Speaker 1: than our country. But we're going to find out where
- 5:20Speaker 1: that money's going, and it's not going to be pretty.
- 5:23Speaker 3: So as the president has America behind him on stopping waste, fraud,
- 5:26Speaker 3: and abuse, which you heard him talking about right there,
- 5:29Speaker 3: Democrats were sitting on their hands. They were angry. So
- 5:33Speaker 3: let's go through the major list of all the things
- 5:36Speaker 3: the Democrats refused to clap for. It, refused to stand for.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Many of them were actually not political things, but since
- 5:42Speaker 3: the President was talking about it, they decided to say
- 5:45Speaker 3: no to it. No matter what tax cuts. They are
- 5:49Speaker 3: not in favor of that and refuse to clap. The
- 5:52Speaker 3: border being closed, something they claimed they were in favor
- 5:55Speaker 3: of and said that they were willing to pass the
- 5:58Speaker 3: legislation to quote get done. They wouldn't clap for that either.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Even foster children finding hope and success was something that
- 6:07Speaker 3: apparently Democrats are not in favor of. And then there
- 6:11Speaker 3: was the personal stories of children being murdered by illegal
- 6:14Speaker 3: immigrants and the parents being in the audience. They wouldn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: even clap for the family members. Police officers dying in
- 6:23Speaker 3: the line of duty being honored and their family something
- 6:26Speaker 3: they would not stand to honor. Supporting workers including US
- 6:30Speaker 3: steel workers with something apparently they couldn't clap for. And
- 6:34Speaker 3: even a child with brain cancer becoming an honorary Secret
- 6:39Speaker 3: Service member was too much for the Democratic Party to say,
- 6:45Speaker 3: we can stand with J. D. Daniels. The President had
- 6:50Speaker 3: no problem honoring him with a special surprise, and this
- 6:54Speaker 3: is what he said.
- 6:55Speaker 1: DJ Daniel is thirteen years old and he has always
- 6:58Speaker 1: dreamed of becoming a police officer. In twenty eighteen, DJ
- 7:03Speaker 1: was diagnosed with brain cancer. The doctors gave him five
- 7:07Speaker 1: months at most to live. That was more than six
- 7:10Speaker 1: years ago. And tonight, DJ, We're going to do you
- 7:14Speaker 1: the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our
- 7:17Speaker 1: new Secret Service Director, Sean Kerran, to officially make you
- 7:22Speaker 1: an agent of the United States Secret Service.
- 7:34Speaker 3: The clapping that you heard there was the Republicans, not
- 7:38Speaker 3: the Democrats. There was even also a surprise for a
- 7:42Speaker 3: teenager who had lost a family member, a father, getting
- 7:45Speaker 3: into West Point, something they couldn't clap for. Even the
- 7:49Speaker 3: men and women in uniform that traditionally do not clap
- 7:52Speaker 3: that are in attendance serving our armed forces knew that
- 7:56Speaker 3: was a moment where it was okay for them to
- 7:58Speaker 3: clap for that teen getting into West Point. Advancing our
- 8:02Speaker 3: military and defense structure was something Democrats couldn't support either.
- 8:06Speaker 3: And then, in a more shocking moment, as the President
- 8:09Speaker 3: announced the apprehension and extradition of an ISIS terrorist linked
- 8:14Speaker 3: to the twenty twenty one abbigate bombing in Afghanistan where
- 8:19Speaker 3: thirteen Americans lost their lives, the Democrats couldn't be bothered
- 8:24Speaker 3: to clap when he talked about catching that terrorist of.
- 8:28Speaker 1: The country tonight, and please to announce that we have
- 8:32Speaker 1: just apprehended the top terrorists responsible for that atrocity and
- 8:37Speaker 1: he is right now on his way here to face
- 8:40Speaker 1: the swift Sword of American Justice.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yes, Republicans were excited because the President broke news in
- 8:48Speaker 3: that moment. All the people in the chamber did not
- 8:51Speaker 3: know that that had just happened, and there was genuine
- 8:54Speaker 3: cheering for a moment knowing that that isis Terrace was
- 8:57Speaker 3: coming to America. That wasn't just on that issue. The
- 9:01Speaker 3: Democrats couldn't stand or clap. Bringing an American hostage home
- 9:05Speaker 3: from Russia because it was done under Donald Trump's time
- 9:08Speaker 3: in office was something they couldn't clap for. And even
- 9:12Speaker 3: the man who died because the Butler Rally assassination attempt,
- 9:17Speaker 3: when the President honored him, Democrats refused to honor that man.
- 9:22Speaker 3: So if you want to know where we are right
- 9:24Speaker 3: now with the forty seventh President of the United States
- 9:27Speaker 3: of America and his time in office, these are the
- 9:31Speaker 3: issues the Democrats refused to stand for now the Democratic Party,
- 9:36Speaker 3: they clearly are out of touch with the American people.
- 9:39Speaker 3: And one thing that's for sure is what Donald Trump
- 9:41Speaker 3: said at the State of the Union is an agenda
- 9:44Speaker 3: that is driven by the people, a mandate that the
- 9:48Speaker 3: people gave him to work on all of these issues.
- 9:52Speaker 3: And I have a feeling the present's approval ratings will
- 9:54Speaker 3: go up significantly because of what he said to America.
