- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: come on, y'all dig me now, one and only Steve
- 2:10Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show man. Is God good to me? Unbelievable?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah he is. And and I can only attribute it
- 2:19Speaker 1: to one thing. It's it's just been a turnaround in
- 2:21Speaker 1: my life. It's it's been me finally making a decision
- 2:26Speaker 1: to see what all God has from me, but at
- 2:29Speaker 1: the same time trying to be more God wants me
- 2:32Speaker 1: to be instead of more of what I want to be.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That's the trade off. You know, you gotta do something now,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know you know you want God's blessings. You gotta
- 2:40Speaker 1: be willing to do something on his behalf. And I'm
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm not saying I got it right right now, because man,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I just don't. I'm just being real with you. I don't.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I don't have it all together by any stretch of imagination.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to get better in several areas. I'm praying
- 2:58Speaker 1: about it, I'm working on it. But you know, it's
- 3:01Speaker 1: a process, and I've i've I've I've grown to accept
- 3:04Speaker 1: the process. But I'm improving in a lot of areas
- 3:07Speaker 1: from day to day. But I'll tell you what, Man,
- 3:09Speaker 1: my success, all that's going on with me, I can
- 3:12Speaker 1: only attribute to this turnaround. And to turnaround was simple.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I turned around and started looking at God. That was
- 3:21Speaker 1: the simple move. Man. I just turned around and started
- 3:24Speaker 1: looking at him, and I was going, Okay, I get it. Now.
- 3:27Speaker 1: You created me. You're the creator. You have a purpose
- 3:32Speaker 1: for me. I understand that. Now. Now let me just
- 3:36Speaker 1: walk in that purpose and let me get to doing
- 3:39Speaker 1: that purpose. Now, my purpose and your purpose and their
- 3:43Speaker 1: purpose and anybody's perfect purpose could be different, and the
- 3:47Speaker 1: way you go about the purpose can be different. And
- 3:51Speaker 1: that's the part that I've really grown up to I've
- 3:53Speaker 1: opened up my mind to understanding that everybody's different, nobody's
- 3:58Speaker 1: quite the same, and that is not my right or
- 4:01Speaker 1: position to judge, but to be of a forgiving spirit
- 4:05Speaker 1: and understand and forgive those as I ask God to
- 4:08Speaker 1: forgive me. See that's the key. That's the key, y'all.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So when you out here and you stuck on this unforgiveness,
- 4:16Speaker 1: understand in in the large prayer as a segment that says,
- 4:22Speaker 1: forgive us our trust passes, as we forgive those who
- 4:25Speaker 1: trust passed against us. There's another verges says forgive us
- 4:28Speaker 1: our debts, as we forgive our debtors. It's two different versions,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but either one it means the exact same thing. It
- 4:37Speaker 1: means simply this that you are asking God to forgive
- 4:42Speaker 1: yours like you forgive others. Forgive us our trust passes,
- 4:47Speaker 1: as we forgive those who trust passed against us. When
- 4:50Speaker 1: I crossed the line with you, God handle me the
- 4:54Speaker 1: way I handle people when they crossed the line with me.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying to you, See, understand that
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's the breakdown of it. The best way I can
- 5:03Speaker 1: give it to you. Forgive us our trust passes as
- 5:06Speaker 1: we forgive those who trust pass against us, forgive me
- 5:10Speaker 1: God for stepping over the line like I forgive those
- 5:13Speaker 1: that step over the line on me. That's the hard part, man,
- 5:17Speaker 1: that's the part. Man, I've really been working on. I've
- 5:20Speaker 1: been really trying to get that together. And so I've
- 5:23Speaker 1: learned forgiveness a lot better over the past five years
- 5:26Speaker 1: than I have before. And it's paid off. I can't
- 5:30Speaker 1: tell you how it was paid off, because now God's
- 5:34Speaker 1: mercy and grace is all over me, because I've learned
- 5:38Speaker 1: to become more graceful. Now. I ain't graceful like him,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I ain't merciful like him, but I've learned to become
- 5:47Speaker 1: more more graceful, more merciful, because man, I can't live
- 5:52Speaker 1: my life like that. I just got sick of me. Man,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you're mad at me now, I'm mad at you. You
- 5:58Speaker 1: hating on me, Now I'm gonna hate on you. Ain't
- 6:00Speaker 1: got time for that, man, I've got you. Look here,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you got somewhere to go. Hate take up time, it's
- 6:07Speaker 1: time consuming, and hating Trying to seek revenge it time consuming.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It take up way too much of your time to
- 6:15Speaker 1: seek revenge when vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Vengeance is mine. Say if the lord it ain't yours.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So now when you go to seek it to take
- 6:26Speaker 1: it out, guess what you're doing. You're doing something now, man,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Now you off in the area that you've got no
- 6:32Speaker 1: business being in and instead of steady climbing your ladder
- 6:36Speaker 1: like you're supposed to, you didn't take out time for
- 6:38Speaker 1: vengeance to hate. I'm a hater. I'm gonna be a blogger.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm a blog about so and so. When you're blogging
- 6:47Speaker 1: about somebody, and most of these people you don't even
- 6:50Speaker 1: know when you're blogging about somebody what you're doing, what
- 6:55Speaker 1: you're hating. It takes time to hate. Man. I just decided, Man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I gotta take all my time and instead of have
- 7:05Speaker 1: doing time and being active, I got to be pro active.
- 7:09Speaker 1: See some people get that confused being active and being
- 7:13Speaker 1: pro active. Pro is positive. Pro means to move forward.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You know, if you put pro in front of most words,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's a positive influence. You know, does the pros and
- 7:25Speaker 1: the cons? The pros is the good side, the cons
- 7:29Speaker 1: is what can go wrong the bad side. You know,
- 7:32Speaker 1: if you're active, that's one thing, But if you pro active.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You're going forward in a positive direction. When you become
- 7:40Speaker 1: a pro that means you're the best of the best
- 7:43Speaker 1: at whatever it is you chosen to be. I'm a
- 7:45Speaker 1: pro so somehow, and I know, uh English teacher, grammatical god.
- 7:52Speaker 1: The word pro a lot of times when you put
- 7:55Speaker 1: it in front of something means positiveness. So now a
- 8:00Speaker 1: lot of people think that if you just active something
- 8:02Speaker 1: all to happen. Well, I'm doing something, and that's what happens. Man.
- 8:06Speaker 1: We just find ourselves doing a lot of busy work
- 8:08Speaker 1: that really ain't bout nothing, and it ain't going nowhere.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It ain't got no direction or no purpose because we
- 8:13Speaker 1: haven't tried to find out the direction of purpose. So
- 8:16Speaker 1: you wake up and you and you and your wheels
- 8:19Speaker 1: are spinning you a hamster on the tread mill. You're
- 8:21Speaker 1: running real fast, but you're just going in the same spot.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You understand, that's cause you're just out here being active
- 8:27Speaker 1: instead of proactive. Why don't you get God in your life?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Why don't you turn and face your creative and find
- 8:33Speaker 1: out how to become more proactive so you can do
- 8:37Speaker 1: things to move yourself forward, How you can get your
- 8:40Speaker 1: life off the ground and get off the tread mill
- 8:43Speaker 1: and really get it rolling in the direction that it
- 8:45Speaker 1: need to be going. Man, I'm telling you, God can
- 8:49Speaker 1: make that change for you if he see you making
- 8:52Speaker 1: the change for him. See the whole key, man, the
- 8:56Speaker 1: whole key is, you got to be willing to do something.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You got to of God, something to bless bless me God,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and then you gonna sit on your couch and you
- 9:05Speaker 1: ain't trying, okay, bless me God with what? What? What? What?
- 9:10Speaker 1: What are you working with? He can't have the people
- 9:13Speaker 1: high you if you ain't put the app in. Come on, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: how you how you think this works? You know he
- 9:20Speaker 1: can't heal your body if you ain't gonna take the
- 9:22Speaker 1: medicine and you ain't gonna do none of the things
- 9:25Speaker 1: to counteract. You know, you you you can't get lung
- 9:30Speaker 1: cancer and then keep smoking and then expect the blessing
- 9:34Speaker 1: to come. Come on, man, the blessing comes when you
- 9:37Speaker 1: make a proactive step, when you try to do something
- 9:41Speaker 1: on the positive side. Look, man, I'm gonna quit messing
- 9:44Speaker 1: around with all these people. I'm gonna start going home.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave these women loaning out here. You got
- 9:49Speaker 1: to say, all right, man, I ain't going over that
- 9:52Speaker 1: at night. I just ain't gonna get then. God can
- 9:54Speaker 1: work with you. God help me stop seeing all these women.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But you steady going over there calling them setting up stuff.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We can nobody help you, because once you get over
- 10:05Speaker 1: there you already know. See, you gotta get proactive. You
- 10:10Speaker 1: gotta do something yourself. You make one step, he'll make two.
- 10:14Speaker 1: That's that's the key, man. So come on, y'all, you
- 10:17Speaker 1: know what. We can straighten this thing all the way
- 10:19Speaker 1: out for ourselves. You don't have to be wondering what's
- 10:23Speaker 1: going on all the time. You don't have to be
- 10:26Speaker 1: confused anymore. You don't have to have your life in
- 10:29Speaker 1: the rut. You don't have to hate waking up in
- 10:32Speaker 1: the morning. You don't have to feel like your life
- 10:34Speaker 1: is going nowhere. There is an answer for all of is.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Turn around and look at God. Why what you got
- 10:42Speaker 1: to lose? Why would you not try it? Just turn
- 10:46Speaker 1: around and face him, Turn around and try to make
- 10:50Speaker 1: yourself a more righteous brother. Just look, man, I'm gonna
- 10:53Speaker 1: do better. You feel me? All right, Let's go to
- 10:55Speaker 1: theare y'all you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, boards and girls
- 11:02Speaker 1: might have your attention. Please. You are listening to the
- 11:04Speaker 1: baddest morning show in the land. It is the Steve
- 11:09Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Today's show is dedicated to those early
- 11:16Speaker 1: rise those people that get up for the sun come on,
- 11:21Speaker 1: the people who are producing things to make your day better.
- 11:26Speaker 1: The day's show is dedicated to the donut makers around
- 11:30Speaker 1: the world. Thank your Lord for the doughnut makers around
- 11:36Speaker 1: the world. Those of you who make doughnuts early in
- 11:40Speaker 1: the morning, piping hot the doughnut palace down in Politexts,
- 11:48Speaker 1: the don't Go nuts in Little Lamb, Texas, those donut makers,
- 11:56Speaker 1: everybody at Dunkin Donuts. I would say that do not
- 12:03Speaker 1: makers that whole food that awesome. But you know, look
- 12:08Speaker 1: what I have learned about everything that I have ever
- 12:11Speaker 1: eaten that was gluten free after tasting it. I don't
- 12:16Speaker 1: know what it is, but it do need the gluten. Yeah,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell gluten is, but everything
- 12:25Speaker 1: I have eaten that didn't have gluten in it need
- 12:28Speaker 1: that gluten back in it. Yeah. I really, I don't
- 12:30Speaker 1: really know what gluten is, but I'm well for joke purposes,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. You know, let's not
- 12:38Speaker 1: kill the joke with your question. What is the form
- 12:42Speaker 1: of weak? Is it? But I gotta go doctor day.
- 12:46Speaker 1: So I'm for the first time in my life, I'm
- 12:48Speaker 1: being checked for food allergies and ud you can eat, yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 1: you know some food just really So what if you
- 13:00Speaker 1: say no more barbecue, what you're gonna turn? Oh? Come on, man, everything,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I gotta do something. I'm once again, I'm gonna just
- 13:06Speaker 1: turn them. I don't really et barbecue. They ain't no problem.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I eat bobbecue. You in the world. That is not
- 13:15Speaker 1: the same. More barbecue is Harvey barbecue. You grilling? You
- 13:18Speaker 1: roasting corn and you know, sutage vegetables and kebabs. We neesh,
- 13:26Speaker 1: that's just grit. That's barbecue. That's grilling. Yeah. When grilling,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I'm Bobby cuting. I'm Bobby cue. I did that on
- 13:36Speaker 1: Caimel last night. Yea, Gluten is a substance in wheat
- 13:41Speaker 1: and flower that holds dope together. It's a substance in
- 13:45Speaker 1: wheat and flower that holds dope together. So it's glue.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It's food glue, glue gluten. Yeah, but in the actuality,
- 13:52Speaker 1: it's actually what's a scientific word for flavor? Yeah, So
- 13:57Speaker 1: I don't know what's holding it together, but it takes.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm good. Yeah, we love our donuts. And also to
- 14:06Speaker 1: my trainer, who we'll be hearing from later this week,
- 14:08Speaker 1: give your update on my report and projecs that I'm doing. Uh.
- 14:12Speaker 1: We posted a picture and a guy said to him,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I don't see how I'm gonna just save it for
- 14:19Speaker 1: when he come on. All right, we'll coming up Steve.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It's Junior's Truth be Told. And then, ladies, Steve, you're
- 14:27Speaker 1: gonna have some tips on how to get your man
- 14:30Speaker 1: to open up and share. This is for the ladies now,
- 14:33Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back at thirty two after the hour.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Don't look at me like that. Information. You're listening to
- 14:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, this time for something funny. Junior,
- 14:45Speaker 1: of course you're up first with the truth. Well then,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I know, ladies, we promise you tips. We'll do that
- 14:50Speaker 1: a little later in the show. We have something even
- 14:53Speaker 1: better from Steve coming up. Go ahead, Jr. Alright, listen,
- 14:58Speaker 1: I have a date this weekend, shre Yeah, it's the
- 15:02Speaker 1: first date to Okay, so this is your truth be told? Yes, sir, Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: I have a first date this weekend and it's the
- 15:09Speaker 1: first date. I just want you to know, first date
- 15:11Speaker 1: with a girl. Yeah I thought you're talking about comedy
- 15:16Speaker 1: stand up the first time. No, No, it's the date,
- 15:24Speaker 1: first date. This could go either way, but you know
- 15:28Speaker 1: it could go like the date. I don't know, you know,
- 15:30Speaker 1: if I'm gonna like her, if she's gonna like me.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I don't want you. Well, you know, we just you know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: somebody set it up. It's a blind Yeah, we see talking.
- 15:38Speaker 1: We're gonna gonna try to, but I don't know if
- 15:40Speaker 1: it's really gonna work because I really choose the spot.
- 15:43Speaker 1: She's chose a steakhouse. Now, truth be told. I'm just
- 15:48Speaker 1: gonna tell you right that, truth be told. First days
- 15:51Speaker 1: don't start with with steak. They start with chicken. Yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, first state, let's start with chicken.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You'll start with steak. Yeah, that's that's putting too much
- 16:07Speaker 1: in on Now, what if I don't like you, Okay,
- 16:09Speaker 1: you don't like me, then you haven't got a steak
- 16:12Speaker 1: off of me. Let's there ain't nobody mad when you
- 16:14Speaker 1: eat chicken. Restaurants served family packs of chicken. I've seemed
- 16:20Speaker 1: knocked down, drag out. Arguments have fallen out over chicken,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and ain't nobody mad? But when you get a steak, okay,
- 16:30Speaker 1: it's an issue. If we don't, we'll see the eye
- 16:32Speaker 1: because a lot more than Hey, why should you have
- 16:35Speaker 1: eighty of my dobs? I ain't gonna see you no more.
- 16:38Speaker 1: You ain't gonna call me no more. Go ahead, let's
- 16:41Speaker 1: go down here to churches and let's sit around and
- 16:43Speaker 1: talk what happened to this? Right here? When a man
- 16:46Speaker 1: meets a woman, he puts his best foot, and chicken
- 16:51Speaker 1: is the best foot. I'm putting my foot right out there.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Let's get this ten piece. Let's talk about this. You
- 17:00Speaker 1: mean like fried chicken, Frid what chicken you want? Long
- 17:05Speaker 1: as this chicken? Baked grill? Bobby que, I don't care.
- 17:09Speaker 1: But what we can't do was had your steak? Now
- 17:12Speaker 1: you got eighty of my dollars? And then you're talking
- 17:14Speaker 1: about all then you go bad talking to your friend already, Well, junior,
- 17:18Speaker 1: why didn't you pick the restaurant? Why didn't you set up?
- 17:20Speaker 1: I didn't know what she liked, and she said, well,
- 17:22Speaker 1: this is real place. I looked it up on LA
- 17:24Speaker 1: and find out this is a steakhouse. And a very
- 17:25Speaker 1: nice steakhouse at that. Now furst of all together? Wait,
- 17:31Speaker 1: wait what you all missed something? Further of all? When
- 17:35Speaker 1: I first saw all them toes eight together right there,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I don't even know why you go yeah, well yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 1: why are you going for toes? Ain't Yeah, but they
- 17:46Speaker 1: just set up I agree today Eddie Murphy and Boomerang.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I just wanted to put that out. Now, go ahead, No, man,
- 17:54Speaker 1: that's you can look at me different if you want you.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you you make a lot of money there
- 18:01Speaker 1: because about eight dollars. This is my mother dollar steaks
- 18:11Speaker 1: that it should you fix her feet instead of we
- 18:18Speaker 1: need Okay, well, okay to the Nelson. I was thinking
- 18:23Speaker 1: a dietry, a reflexilogist. I saw them that pinky toe,
- 18:29Speaker 1: little damage to it. I want you to know now
- 18:34Speaker 1: that's the start with chicken. That's all I'm saying. I like,
- 18:38Speaker 1: how we get to know you, Junior through your truth? Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: they're all honest. They're all about your life. He does. Okay,
- 18:49Speaker 1: all right, you and your Steve, you have to tell
- 18:54Speaker 1: us the story, uh you we're talking about at the
- 18:57Speaker 1: mentoring camp with the mother's was you know we U
- 19:02Speaker 1: was at many camp this last year down at the
- 19:05Speaker 1: Chick fil A place. Uh, it's a great facility to
- 19:08Speaker 1: having this year close to Atlanta, and the mothers were
- 19:12Speaker 1: in town at this church facility having one of their sessions.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So I drove from the ranch down to the church facility.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Not get in there, and they've been waiting on man.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I saw him up and I'm talking to the mothers,
- 19:25Speaker 1: now one of the mothers or two. I was not
- 19:27Speaker 1: sure one or two of them. I couldn't hear and talk.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They couldn't talk, or I don't talk. I'm not whatever
- 19:38Speaker 1: they what they be signed, that's I'm not sure. I
- 19:43Speaker 1: don't really, you know, keep up. So I'm in here talking.
- 19:46Speaker 1: So the lady up there and standing off to the
- 19:48Speaker 1: side is sign it ain't. Nobody told me nothing. So
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm talking and she just over the sun. So I
- 19:56Speaker 1: looked over there and now they ain't saying nothing at first,
- 19:58Speaker 1: Then she kept on. I turned around this, do me
- 20:00Speaker 1: what is you doing? So now instead of talking, he
- 20:06Speaker 1: keeps saying, So I said, ma'am, I don't know what
- 20:09Speaker 1: you're doing, but sit down because I don't like all
- 20:11Speaker 1: that talking around. You know, I don't know what you're
- 20:17Speaker 1: over there doing all that moving, but just come on
- 20:19Speaker 1: sit down with everybody else. So she smiled and kept
- 20:22Speaker 1: on sign it. And now I noticed this laid it
- 20:26Speaker 1: down front. It's just standing up. So I still ain't.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Ain't did the math on this ship. So the women
- 20:35Speaker 1: in the audience is covering their mouth, like, no, this
- 20:38Speaker 1: fooling here. And then I said, hey, look I don't
- 20:42Speaker 1: like all that. Just come on, sit down. So this
- 20:46Speaker 1: woman was waving at me with both hands like Steve,
- 20:49Speaker 1: you know, waving like two hounds and trying to get
- 20:51Speaker 1: my attention. I said, what did you do? I said, Hi,
- 20:57Speaker 1: I spoke to everybody when I came in here. What
- 20:59Speaker 1: you double hand hid for the ladies in that was
- 21:03Speaker 1: holland laughing, but they had their hand over their mouth
- 21:06Speaker 1: because they was all sitting hand this lady. And so
- 21:09Speaker 1: finally this one lady said Steve, Steve, look over here
- 21:13Speaker 1: at me, I said, looking at you for what he said?
- 21:16Speaker 1: She signed it. I said, wait a minute, let me
- 21:20Speaker 1: explain something, y'all. We've seen all the paperwork. You came
- 21:26Speaker 1: here all sign it. You need to do all that
- 21:29Speaker 1: for you. Come in here, your uncle Tom man. I'm
- 21:32Speaker 1: gonna sit yours So the lady was out there looking
- 21:36Speaker 1: at me, signed and she laughing. I'll tell you what
- 21:39Speaker 1: happened right out there. Man, we'll be back with the
- 21:42Speaker 1: nephew and run that prank back and the end of
- 21:45Speaker 1: Steve's story to this most crazy you're listening Steve show,
- 21:51Speaker 1: all right, Uh, come on see it before we get
- 21:54Speaker 1: to the nephews. Well, I was just trying to tell
- 21:56Speaker 1: y'all about the lady was signed, and ain't nobody told
- 21:59Speaker 1: me nothing. So I'm so confused. I thought they're telling
- 22:02Speaker 1: my sign from I'm just reminding them all. This had
- 22:05Speaker 1: to be in two weeks for y'all team here. The
- 22:08Speaker 1: lady was sitting there and the ladies said Steve, Steve,
- 22:11Speaker 1: look at me. I said, looking, I'm looking at you.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Now what she said, Steve, that woman is signing because
- 22:19Speaker 1: one of the mothers in his death. I said, who?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Them women in that orders had their hands over their mouth,
- 22:30Speaker 1: tears coming down their faith. They said, no, this fool,
- 22:32Speaker 1: ain't She pointed at that lady down front. I said,
- 22:35Speaker 1: you're deaf, and she ain't say no. So I said,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I said, as you death. So the ladies and so
- 22:45Speaker 1: then she looked at me and now her head called
- 22:47Speaker 1: the lady said that to him, I said, what do
- 22:50Speaker 1: you read? Little? I said, most people don't have trouble
- 22:53Speaker 1: with me because you can be caught and pick up
- 22:56Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And so he's sitting here and I said,
- 23:00Speaker 1: listen to me. I mean, I mean, really what they
- 23:02Speaker 1: go they came boycott? Because right now I'm on the radio,
- 23:05Speaker 1: and if they came here, I'm just saying. I'm just saying,
- 23:11Speaker 1: commedially speaking, what is the feel of the boycott coming from?
- 23:18Speaker 1: And he made me think of Jesus. And so I'm
- 23:20Speaker 1: sitting up in here, so I said, I said, look
- 23:22Speaker 1: at me. This is all you need to know. I said,
- 23:26Speaker 1: this is how I'm gonna show you a sign if
- 23:28Speaker 1: a five breakout. Then I did the whoosh if you
- 23:34Speaker 1: see the black people. Then I pointed at my face turned,
- 23:38Speaker 1: then I turned. I said, we got to get your
- 23:43Speaker 1: blank out of here. And then I just started doing
- 23:46Speaker 1: this here black women. I started doing the black women
- 23:51Speaker 1: in that room. How on Smith's wife was there? Tears?
- 23:59Speaker 1: Just come on, first of all, getting your uncle Tommy,
- 24:06Speaker 1: then come on with the friend. All right, let's add
- 24:09Speaker 1: to come on. Yeah, I'm gonna add right on with
- 24:14Speaker 1: hot checks at the church. Goodness running that prank bag?
- 24:18Speaker 1: I checked at that church. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 24:23Speaker 1: reach you, Monica system, Monica Please, this is brother de Sean.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm calling Actually I'm a member Greater Missionary Baptist Church.
- 24:33Speaker 1: How can I help you? Calling you actually about the offering? Now?
- 24:36Speaker 1: Did you? I know you paid your ties Sunday? Okay?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Now you paid a love offering as well? Right? Yes? Okay,
- 24:44Speaker 1: now this past Sunday. Um, I'm looking at a check
- 24:48Speaker 1: that you left us with the bank, right right, I
- 24:52Speaker 1: check Sunday? Okay. Now the check, ma'am was two hundred
- 24:56Speaker 1: and fifty, Am I correct? Right? Right? I wrote to
- 24:59Speaker 1: check for my ties and the love offering? Right, I
- 25:02Speaker 1: wrote one for two fifty for the love offering. Okay?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Now what is this call regarding? Why are you calling me?
- 25:09Speaker 1: What I wanted to tell you is that I hate
- 25:11Speaker 1: to be a very bad news, but you your check
- 25:14Speaker 1: that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced. And
- 25:18Speaker 1: wait a minute, you said my check bounce for your
- 25:22Speaker 1: check bound. So what I'm doing is calling you about
- 25:26Speaker 1: recouping the two fifth as well as you know you
- 25:28Speaker 1: you cost us thirty dollars uh in bank fees. Wait,
- 25:34Speaker 1: now I wrote two checks. I wrote a check for
- 25:36Speaker 1: a hundred dollars. Did that one bounce? I don't see
- 25:38Speaker 1: to it that that that one bound. All I know
- 25:40Speaker 1: is the one that the love offering has bounced. What
- 25:43Speaker 1: did you put him in at the same time? Because
- 25:44Speaker 1: I wrote him at the same time. They all go
- 25:47Speaker 1: in on Monday, ma'am. Now, I didn't put them in
- 25:49Speaker 1: at the same time. I've been putting them in for
- 25:51Speaker 1: the last two or three years. The problem is why
- 25:53Speaker 1: would people right there, brother de Shaun Sunday, I was.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I don't think it matter, doesn't win. I was there, man.
- 26:01Speaker 1: The problem isn't that I didn't put these checks in.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And I don't understand why y'all write these checks to
- 26:06Speaker 1: the track knowing that they're gonna bound. There's a lot
- 26:09Speaker 1: of people right good, well not check? Why one clear?
- 26:13Speaker 1: Why the other one didn't clear? Maybe you didn't have
- 26:15Speaker 1: enough money for both of them to clear? What What
- 26:19Speaker 1: did you just say? Maybe you didn't have enough money
- 26:21Speaker 1: in the bank for both of them to clear. And
- 26:22Speaker 1: I don't understand why people mighty in the bank at all?
- 26:26Speaker 1: My checks clear. I don't write no checks. Well, you
- 26:29Speaker 1: wrote one on Sunday and that's the problem. How are
- 26:32Speaker 1: you gonna try to give a look Wait a minute,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I think you got me confused with somebody else. I
- 26:36Speaker 1: don't write no bad checks. You didn't wrote to you.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to be nice to you. When can we
- 26:41Speaker 1: expect the two fifty plus the thirty dollars? So that's
- 26:45Speaker 1: the bank fees, ma'n for the dolls gonna check bouncing?
- 26:48Speaker 1: My check didn't bounce. I don't check my bank. And
- 26:51Speaker 1: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 26:54Speaker 1: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 26:56Speaker 1: fifty dollar check bounce. I don't write no Why would
- 26:59Speaker 1: you right check what you want to? Sit up in
- 27:01Speaker 1: the church and write these big number checks when you
- 27:03Speaker 1: know you ain't got it in the bank. I said,
- 27:07Speaker 1: why would you write these checks when the money ain't
- 27:10Speaker 1: in there? Let me tell you one thing. I don't
- 27:13Speaker 1: write no bad check. And you got a lot nerds
- 27:16Speaker 1: calling me telling me my check bounce. Y'r check is
- 27:19Speaker 1: the one that has bound. And you tell you what
- 27:21Speaker 1: you do since my check bounce, you paid them, since
- 27:24Speaker 1: you got all the money and don't call me with
- 27:26Speaker 1: this again? Hello, don't you hang up on me no more?
- 27:32Speaker 1: When when don't we gonna get this two fifty and
- 27:34Speaker 1: this thirty dollars? About it? From the church to my?
- 27:38Speaker 1: I wrote a bad check, A bad check. I didn't
- 27:42Speaker 1: write bad Yes, Why are you calling me? Why the
- 27:46Speaker 1: treaser don't call me at church? The traas is bus
- 27:50Speaker 1: I ain't never know the deacon called nobody about no
- 27:51Speaker 1: bad check. You're fully thank you you got the money?
- 27:58Speaker 1: I ain't got Who analysts that in the background? Who
- 28:01Speaker 1: is that for mine? Who it is? We're both go
- 28:03Speaker 1: to the same church, and you're gonna call me to
- 28:05Speaker 1: my I wrote a bad check? You don't you call
- 28:07Speaker 1: me no more? And if the check bads you paid?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Keep passed to know you're talking like this, pass to
- 28:14Speaker 1: know you're calling me? Can you after that? Look? When
- 28:17Speaker 1: are we gonna get this? Two eighty dollars? Is what
- 28:19Speaker 1: we're looking for from you? I wrote a check for
- 28:21Speaker 1: two fifties and not get to eighty. You with it?
- 28:26Speaker 1: You put two fifty in there. It pounce thirty dollars
- 28:29Speaker 1: cost us on bake fees. That's too eighty. Waken the
- 28:32Speaker 1: church expect their money. Never not no to eight. You
- 28:36Speaker 1: will never get to eight. You're gonna make me come
- 28:38Speaker 1: by your and my check in what you say, I'm
- 28:41Speaker 1: gonna do what. You're gonna make me come by your
- 28:43Speaker 1: house and get this money? Bring it on, bring it,
- 28:46Speaker 1: bring it? What is the address on this check? Check?
- 28:50Speaker 1: I got it off the check. I bet you you'll
- 28:53Speaker 1: be limping back and I'm watching you. You bet not
- 28:56Speaker 1: be spending no money nowhere. You bet not spend nothing
- 28:58Speaker 1: until I get this too. They think plus thirty whatever.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I want to know you and you know what I am.
- 29:04Speaker 1: And you don't call me no more with this because
- 29:07Speaker 1: my check did not bounce. I don't see how one
- 29:10Speaker 1: check went through and the other bounce. Let me say
- 29:12Speaker 1: this to you. We cannot accept you back into the
- 29:14Speaker 1: House of the Lord no more until you are not
- 29:18Speaker 1: don't you come in and Sunday until we get coming
- 29:20Speaker 1: up in the Sunday. And I'm gonna make sure I
- 29:23Speaker 1: find your because you the person I want to see you.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And you know what, I'm gonna call the pastor right
- 29:29Speaker 1: now and asked him because I don't believe my check bounce.
- 29:31Speaker 1: You feel what? Let me say this before you called pastor.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I got no I'm a called pastor. No, you should
- 29:37Speaker 1: have talked with pastor before you call me with this information.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say. You
- 29:42Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to say to me. You don't upset
- 29:44Speaker 1: me with this I talk about I bounced a check.
- 29:47Speaker 1: You should have went to pastor before you call me
- 29:49Speaker 1: with you. I tall pastor one I got, But I
- 29:51Speaker 1: got one more thing to say before I leave that
- 29:53Speaker 1: you're listening. What what are you about to say to me?
- 29:56Speaker 1: What do you have to say now that you're gonna
- 29:58Speaker 1: pay the check? This is net you tire me from
- 30:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by
- 30:05Speaker 1: your girlfriend. What did you say, baby? This isn't What
- 30:14Speaker 1: did you say, I'd say? This is nephew tim me,
- 30:17Speaker 1: baby brother, Steve Harby Morning Show. Your girlfriend has pranked you.
- 30:25Speaker 1: He just left. Let me ask you one more day, though, baby,
- 30:33Speaker 1: what is the baddest radio show in the land, Steve Harvey?
- 30:39Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This Anna
- 30:44Speaker 1: standing by with today's headlines. Potentially catastrophic, potentially catastrophic. That's
- 30:52Speaker 1: how forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are describing Hurricane
- 30:56Speaker 1: IRMA Florida Governor Rick Scott warrened that IRMA could bring
- 30:59Speaker 1: life threatening storm surges, wind and rain. President Trump has
- 31:04Speaker 1: approved emergency declaration freeing up federal funding to prepare for IRMA,
- 31:09Speaker 1: and seven thousand Florida National Guard members to report for
- 31:12Speaker 1: duty by tomorrow this Friday morning. Uh, that's all happening, okay,
- 31:18Speaker 1: this Friday morning. Um, Carla and Tommy man oh man,
- 31:21Speaker 1: you guys were just affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I know you don't like to say that, I get
- 31:30Speaker 1: it by the hurricane, the first hurricane. They didn't say that.
- 31:40Speaker 1: What are some good tips though, Carla, you guys have
- 31:43Speaker 1: some good tips. Yes, I mean, especially for the Floridians.
- 31:48Speaker 1: The whole state of Florida has been under advisement and
- 31:52Speaker 1: you need to first listen to local officials. Tommy, would
- 31:55Speaker 1: you agree when they tell you to evacuate, you out,
- 32:00Speaker 1: You have to evacuate. And this is the thing about
- 32:03Speaker 1: the hurricane. I think we've talked about this as well,
- 32:05Speaker 1: that you guys at least know it's coming, so you
- 32:09Speaker 1: hurricane don't sneak up on you know that they're coming,
- 32:12Speaker 1: So you have to listen to your officials, your city leaders,
- 32:16Speaker 1: state leaders, county leaders, when they tell you to evacuate.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I mean the situation where Harvey. We just saw what
- 32:22Speaker 1: happened with Hurricane Harvey in Houston. It was more about
- 32:24Speaker 1: the flooding. But you have a catastrophic hurricane coming, so
- 32:29Speaker 1: you need to have get your supplies together. Get your food,
- 32:32Speaker 1: get your water. Food, yeah, plenty of food and water.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Get your medicine, your first aid, and make sure that
- 32:38Speaker 1: you have all your medication. You don't think about these things,
- 32:41Speaker 1: but you need to go ahead and get your prescriptions reviewed.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And but you still need your medicine. If you get out,
- 32:48Speaker 1: you still evacuating. I heard them talking about a lady
- 32:52Speaker 1: that had diabetes and she was standing in line because
- 32:54Speaker 1: she wanted water. She still needed to take her meds
- 32:58Speaker 1: during you know, the hurricane season, but she need it
- 33:00Speaker 1: water and water was of short supply at that particular time. A. Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: you need to make plans for that. You have to
- 33:08Speaker 1: plan ahead when you evacuate. You have to kind of
- 33:11Speaker 1: plan ahead as well. Communications, extra batteries, especially if you've
- 33:15Speaker 1: got disabled people in your family, you really want to
- 33:18Speaker 1: get them safe and get them out. I'll get them
- 33:21Speaker 1: out to the next whatever the neighboring state or that
- 33:23Speaker 1: would be on my way. Yeah, yeah, fill up your
- 33:27Speaker 1: car with gas. You know, we saw gatch gas shortage
- 33:31Speaker 1: with a Hurricane Harvey, with the refineries being shut down
- 33:36Speaker 1: due to the flooding waters and things like that. So
- 33:39Speaker 1: you know, you just got to prepare. You just have
- 33:41Speaker 1: to pare. This is this is more important, fellas. If
- 33:45Speaker 1: you find to be in the house with your wife
- 33:47Speaker 1: for a long time, it's gonna be rough in there,
- 33:50Speaker 1: It really is. I'm just letting you know. It's it's
- 33:53Speaker 1: it's gonna be real sorrying about where it's just going.
- 33:56Speaker 1: So you have a tip for for husbands who are
- 33:58Speaker 1: they're riding out the hurricane, don't problem the whole time,
- 34:02Speaker 1: y'all in the house. Just don't say nothing to him.
- 34:05Speaker 1: What just just don't say nothing to him, because don't
- 34:08Speaker 1: talk to your wife that you say it ain't right.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Just don't say nothing. So are you speaking from Harvey experience?
- 34:16Speaker 1: I'm speaking from experience. I was looked at it as
- 34:19Speaker 1: if I was the just worst surviving type of person
- 34:23Speaker 1: in the world. She was looking at me like I
- 34:24Speaker 1: had no clue. I thought I was being a man,
- 34:27Speaker 1: a protector taking care of my family, and I was
- 34:29Speaker 1: not being looked at that way. I was being looked
- 34:32Speaker 1: like I was the most pathetic person walking around. But
- 34:35Speaker 1: what did you do playing for the family. I did everything,
- 34:39Speaker 1: I moved everything, I did it all, but I was
- 34:41Speaker 1: still looked at as zeal. I had no idea what
- 34:44Speaker 1: I was talking about. Lightning scared of lightning. It was
- 34:52Speaker 1: not like they gonna look at you crazy. All right,
- 34:56Speaker 1: let's go. But I did have a lightning ship. Okay,
- 35:07Speaker 1: and it's gracious, good morning everybody. This is entered with
- 35:12Speaker 1: the news. Okay, let's get serious. Hurricane Irma passed just
- 35:15Speaker 1: north of Puerto Rico overnight, leaving about a million people
- 35:19Speaker 1: on PR without any power. About fifty thousand of people
- 35:22Speaker 1: over there have no water. Haiti and the Dominican Republic
- 35:25Speaker 1: were glanced, but Irma is still a Category five storm
- 35:28Speaker 1: with top winds now a hundred eighty to two hundred
- 35:30Speaker 1: miles per hour, and nine deaths have been reported so
- 35:33Speaker 1: far and not now. The Bahamas and Florida are bracing
- 35:37Speaker 1: for a hit. In fact, residents and tourists of Miami
- 35:40Speaker 1: Dade County already under orders to leave. Evacuations ordered in
- 35:43Speaker 1: the Florida Keys two days ago. Just North and Broward
- 35:46Speaker 1: County coastal evacuations are ordered starting at noon today. Mayor
- 35:50Speaker 1: Barbara Shariff says there is enough gas for every one
- 35:52Speaker 1: so long as people don't start hoarding it. The tankers
- 35:54Speaker 1: are refueling and getting the gas to the stations as
- 35:57Speaker 1: quickly as possible. But you as you know, that is
- 36:00Speaker 1: a high demand, so there will be lines. But there
- 36:03Speaker 1: is enough gas to supply Brower County. So just don't,
- 36:06Speaker 1: you know, necessarily fill up when you don't need to
- 36:08Speaker 1: top it off. Meanwhile, nine of the buildings in Barbuda
- 36:11Speaker 1: have either been damaged or destroyed. There are now two
- 36:14Speaker 1: other storms churning in the Atlantic. On top of all this,
- 36:17Speaker 1: there Jose and Katia. President Trump broke with fellow Republicans
- 36:21Speaker 1: yesterday and agreed to a short term increase in the
- 36:23Speaker 1: federal debt limit. Trump says the increase is going to
- 36:25Speaker 1: be paired with a bill that will keep the government
- 36:27Speaker 1: going and provide some eight billion dollars in emergency funding
- 36:31Speaker 1: for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. We had a very
- 36:32Speaker 1: good meeting. We essentially came to a deal, and I
- 36:37Speaker 1: think the deal will be very good, right up, very
- 36:40Speaker 1: very cordial and professional meeting Republican Congress. So it had
- 36:45Speaker 1: demanding a longer term increase with the debt limit. Trump's
- 36:47Speaker 1: agreeing with the Democrats will now force the Congress to
- 36:50Speaker 1: take a second vote to raise the debt ceiling just
- 36:52Speaker 1: before next year's midterm elections. That's nothing that the op
- 36:54Speaker 1: was trying to avoid. The fifteen States and the District
- 36:57Speaker 1: Columbia have filed suit against President Trump over his the
- 37:00Speaker 1: and DHACA, the program that keeps people brought here illegally
- 37:03Speaker 1: when they were children from being deported by the way.
- 37:05Speaker 1: President Obama has commented in a Facebook post about it.
- 37:08Speaker 1: He calls Trump's decision clearly political and not legal, saying
- 37:12Speaker 1: that DONCA was about young people who grew up in
- 37:14Speaker 1: America and are Americans in every single way, but one
- 37:19Speaker 1: on paper today is National Google Commemoration, Dave, if you
- 37:22Speaker 1: want to Google somebody, do it today. And National Field
- 37:25Speaker 1: the Love Day. Please please, please please mow. This has
- 37:30Speaker 1: been a tripping me back with Eugene the Butterfly twenty
- 37:32Speaker 1: minutes after the hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:35Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show. All right, Steve,
- 37:39Speaker 1: he's here. Please introduce the butterfly. He's here, can get money.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, Come on, Eugene. That's pretty good. Now
- 37:54Speaker 1: make your voice. Come on, do it one more time, Steve,
- 37:57Speaker 1: with a little more energy. Ladies and gentlemen, Now that
- 38:01Speaker 1: was some fake. Good morning everyone. That's not good. And
- 38:10Speaker 1: you always bring people out. Why you can't bring me out?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Ludy up, chuckle me. That wasn't too bad. Good morning.
- 38:30Speaker 1: To take it, take it in, running with it anyway,
- 38:31Speaker 1: good one? Who all you out? Junior, Shirley Carlin, Stephen, Tommy,
- 38:36Speaker 1: this is it tonight. It is happening Alabia, South Carolina.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna grace the stage. I think they sold out.
- 38:45Speaker 1: It's all because of me. But anyway, to hit stage
- 38:48Speaker 1: play Mama's Boy at the Township Auditorium. You do not
- 38:51Speaker 1: want to miss it. Eugene and Twine Ferguson tonight you
- 38:55Speaker 1: will be who are you play? You? Jane my my name?
- 39:02Speaker 1: But anyway, they also called me butterfly and the attest.
- 39:06Speaker 1: But anyway, Stephen, I am so fabulous. I think after
- 39:10Speaker 1: this this run, Stephen, I think you and I should
- 39:13Speaker 1: sit down. I think there's room for me in Hollywood.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I just think there is. I just think that, oh,
- 39:19Speaker 1: it's a lot of room for You're not but I
- 39:24Speaker 1: want you to now I want to shower, and I
- 39:32Speaker 1: just think that I think you could be my eat pep.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I don't think you're strong enough to carry a show.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Come on the name of the playing Mama's boy. He
- 39:41Speaker 1: ain't the Mama on the ball. But I'm comedic relief, Stephen,
- 39:47Speaker 1: and I'm telling you I'm doing a very very good job.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I think I think you would be very overwhelmed by
- 39:52Speaker 1: what I'm doing. I think you would love what I'm doing.
- 39:54Speaker 1: And I think that you would see that there's room
- 39:56Speaker 1: for me in Hollywood. I think you being my EP.
- 39:59Speaker 1: I think you and I can go a long way.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Maybe you should go see the play Steven, then decide
- 40:06Speaker 1: see Steve should hello? Will you come see me? Go
- 40:10Speaker 1: see the play? Go see Butterfly in the play. No,
- 40:12Speaker 1: I don't have to out here in l a here
- 40:14Speaker 1: in Columbia. Um, I can't get there. I gotta work.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I got a new show. I got I got a
- 40:19Speaker 1: new show. But I got a new show. But you
- 40:23Speaker 1: could get back in time in the morning. You could
- 40:26Speaker 1: get down here in jet back for what you ain't
- 40:30Speaker 1: the Mamas or the boy. You can't even have thought
- 40:33Speaker 1: the show. I'm coming here and watch this little penny,
- 40:36Speaker 1: Little Penny in it part you playing in the things. Hello,
- 40:40Speaker 1: you have a big, healthy role. Yes, yes, media, I
- 40:44Speaker 1: always have to use the word of media. I have
- 40:45Speaker 1: a media role. All right, thank you, better fly when
- 40:48Speaker 1: we come back from the break up. We'll be back
- 40:50Speaker 1: at thirty four after the hour you're listening to. The
- 40:53Speaker 1: Deferred Action to Childhood Arrivals program protects roughly eight hundred
- 40:58Speaker 1: thou undocumented dreamers who were brought into the US illegally
- 41:02Speaker 1: as children. President Obama approved DHACCA in an executive order
- 41:06Speaker 1: in two thousand twelve. Now, as you know, Attorney General
- 41:09Speaker 1: Jeff's Sessions on Tuesday of this week criticized President Obama
- 41:14Speaker 1: for bypassing Congress implementing an unconstitutional exercise of authority. Former
- 41:21Speaker 1: President Barack Obama released a strong criticism of President Trump's
- 41:24Speaker 1: decision to end uh DOCCA. In a long Facebook post,
- 41:29Speaker 1: Obama urges that the dreamer's program benefits everyone, including native
- 41:34Speaker 1: born citizens. Obama called it an issue of basic decency.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He says these dreamers are Americans in their hearts and
- 41:42Speaker 1: their minds in every single way but one on paper.
- 41:46Speaker 1: He said, Let's be clear, the action taken today isn't
- 41:49Speaker 1: required legally. It's a political decision and a moral question. Ultimately,
- 41:55Speaker 1: this is about basic decency. This is about whether we
- 41:59Speaker 1: are a people who kick hopeful young strivers out of
- 42:02Speaker 1: America or whether we treat them the way we want
- 42:05Speaker 1: our own kids to be treated. Well, you're sending this
- 42:09Speaker 1: message to a man who doesn't have any of those concerns,
- 42:17Speaker 1: nor has he ever had to concern He's he's never
- 42:21Speaker 1: had to be worried about how you treat his children
- 42:24Speaker 1: because he's had his children grow up in a very
- 42:27Speaker 1: privilege privileged, structured, and secure environment. His children have never
- 42:33Speaker 1: known what it is to won't to do anything. He
- 42:39Speaker 1: hasn't either, Like Tommy said, So you're asking a man
- 42:43Speaker 1: at seventy years old who's lived a privileged life mostly
- 42:48Speaker 1: all of his life, never been poor, not a single day,
- 42:52Speaker 1: to have a heart for the poor. When in actuality
- 42:58Speaker 1: he has what my father taught me, he has undeserved power.
- 43:04Speaker 1: See him never having been a servant to people. Uh,
- 43:08Speaker 1: the greatest leaders were first great servants if you look
- 43:12Speaker 1: at Gandhi, if you look at Martin Luther King, if
- 43:17Speaker 1: you look at Nelson Mandela, if you look at Billy Graham,
- 43:23Speaker 1: if you look at anybody a Bishop Jakes, that are
- 43:28Speaker 1: great leaders on any platform. They were great servants. This
- 43:35Speaker 1: man that's our president has never been poor, underprivileged, or
- 43:41Speaker 1: never served anyone. So now you are asking him to
- 43:47Speaker 1: have a heart. See, he thinks if he blows out
- 43:50Speaker 1: Obama's coundle, it's gonna make kids brighter. So everything Obama
- 43:53Speaker 1: has done, let me undo this. So you can quit
- 43:56Speaker 1: talking about Obama and talk about me. But everything you're
- 44:00Speaker 1: doing is wrong and hurts the people in this case,
- 44:04Speaker 1: eight hundred thousand dreamers. That's a lot of people days.
- 44:08Speaker 1: That's a lot of comedy. Oh man, come on, yeah,
- 44:13Speaker 1: And you gotta be kidding me. Why I punished these
- 44:16Speaker 1: kids who were bought here as children? Yeah, how would
- 44:19Speaker 1: they know? Hey? Look man, date and then half these
- 44:22Speaker 1: kids were born here. This is the only country, that country.
- 44:27Speaker 1: They've never been to. These countries. You're trying to send
- 44:29Speaker 1: them back, Go home, go home. They'll be foreigners in Mexico.
- 44:34Speaker 1: All I've ever known like that, you know, And for
- 44:38Speaker 1: those of you. But those of you out there who think,
- 44:42Speaker 1: for some stupid, idiotic reason that because I went to
- 44:48Speaker 1: visit Trump, that I'm a Trump supporter, get that stupid
- 44:52Speaker 1: ass notion out your mind right now. The visit had
- 44:56Speaker 1: nothing to do with support. As a matter of fact,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I told him why I was sitting there. I voted
- 45:01Speaker 1: for Hillary Clinton, and I used all my weight on
- 45:03Speaker 1: this radio show to get her elected. I said that
- 45:06Speaker 1: to this man. While you're gonna ask him, I said that,
- 45:09Speaker 1: So don't don't don't. Don't. Don't sit up here and
- 45:11Speaker 1: think I'm a damn supporter. They don't stop being an idiot.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I have always been for the down trodden and unprotected
- 45:20Speaker 1: and and underdog. That's what I'm always before. This move
- 45:24Speaker 1: right here is up third. What he's doing. It makes
- 45:29Speaker 1: no it's no benefit to the country to throw these
- 45:34Speaker 1: people out. It's no benefit. They're not criminals. Oh he
- 45:39Speaker 1: just want to undo everything. Obama Dear. We'll be back
- 45:41Speaker 1: when you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 45:45Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after
- 45:48Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. But first, here is the nephew with
- 45:51Speaker 1: this prank phone call. What you got here. You know,
- 45:59Speaker 1: you know I have to take my time with its.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Shut this one right here. Uh, this is a different
- 46:04Speaker 1: type of prank ability. Um prank ability. Yeah, this right
- 46:11Speaker 1: here is called they moved big Mama. They move big Mama.
- 46:22Speaker 1: The way he was talking, I thought it was gonna
- 46:23Speaker 1: be cutty coming through or something. This is this is
- 46:26Speaker 1: a different kind of prank ability. But you're gonna love
- 46:28Speaker 1: this right here. They moved big Mama. Here ability. Yeah,
- 46:32Speaker 1: look that up my picture that with that cleaning services.

- 53:05Speaker 1: more thing that you man, what is what is the
- 53:08Speaker 1: baddest And I'm talking about the baddest radio show in

- 53:14Speaker 1: to y'all every morning. Man, y'all every more, Look here,
- 53:17Speaker 1: why don't you tell Dteve Man, y'all need to put
- 53:19Speaker 1: a copper cleaning, the war over in the hoodie wards cleaning,
- 53:25Speaker 1: the corper cleaning in the category carper cleaning category. Man,
- 53:28Speaker 1: y'all need to go and put one in there. See,
- 53:31Speaker 1: that's prankability. You know what I'm saying. You gotta know
- 53:35Speaker 1: prankability when you when you prankster lizing. You see what
- 53:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. See, you have
- 53:41Speaker 1: prank fuition, but you're not gonna you can't do that.
- 53:44Speaker 1: You understand because you're not a prank alization. Let me
- 53:48Speaker 1: let me let me break it down to you. When
- 53:50Speaker 1: you when you when you when you're franking, you have
- 53:55Speaker 1: to be prank alicious first. You understand what I'm saying.
- 53:58Speaker 1: To have prankability, to have the prank for wishing to
- 54:01Speaker 1: bring a Frank alization to Uh what am I? What
- 54:06Speaker 1: am I? What? Is this? Something else we could be
- 54:08Speaker 1: talking about right here? And Junior, how you doing it?
- 54:12Speaker 1: Because I had no clue? Calling good Steve, Yes, thank
- 54:17Speaker 1: you for singly down in Houston. What you have ak Charlotte?
- 54:26Speaker 1: How your husband doing? Frank alicious? He's gonna help going
- 54:36Speaker 1: on how to show? The show was going great, man.
- 54:39Speaker 1: I appreciate all the support. Man. Uh, you know, um,
- 54:42Speaker 1: I think the new show was gonna be right in
- 54:44Speaker 1: the wheel house of what I need to be doing.
- 54:47Speaker 1: You know, if nothing was wrong with what I was doing,
- 54:49Speaker 1: I realized that you have to reinvent yourself every now
- 54:52Speaker 1: and then. All Right, we gotta go to break. We'll
- 54:55Speaker 1: be back right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 54:58Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up next Today's Crazy Strawberry Letter. You
- 55:02Speaker 1: do not want to miss it. But the NFL season
- 55:06Speaker 1: kicks off tonight. And did you hear about this? Now?
- 55:08Speaker 1: This is according to the Baltimore Sun, a treat from
- 55:11Speaker 1: the A tweet from a girlfriend of Colin Kaepernick was
- 55:14Speaker 1: behind the Ravens decision not to sign Colin Kaepernick. Okay,
- 55:20Speaker 1: NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis said on Showtime Inside
- 55:23Speaker 1: the NFL the August second post by radio host NSSA
- 55:28Speaker 1: diab Colin's girlfriend compared Ravens owner Steve Bisciatti, the Scottie
- 55:34Speaker 1: and ray Lewis, a longtime face of the franchise two
- 55:38Speaker 1: characters from Django unchained. You know that was Leonardo DiCaprio's
- 55:42Speaker 1: cruel plantation owner and Samuel L. Jackson's loyal house slave, respectively. WHOA,
- 55:51Speaker 1: you don't need to nick. Some say the NFL is
- 55:57Speaker 1: using Colin's girlfriend's post at the scapegoat as to why
- 56:01Speaker 1: they really don't uh didn't hire Kaepernick or won't hire Kaepernick. Uh.
- 56:06Speaker 1: The NFL season, of course, kicks off tonight with Kansas
- 56:09Speaker 1: City at New England. So now what do you think
- 56:13Speaker 1: about that? It compared Ravens owner Steve Biscotti and ray Lewis,
- 56:17Speaker 1: the longtime face of the franchise, to characters from um
- 56:21Speaker 1: Django unchained. I don't know why she say that, but
- 56:25Speaker 1: why would he be injured by what his girlfriend said?
- 56:28Speaker 1: Exactly an excuse? But now listen to me when yes, right,
- 56:35Speaker 1: surely if you don't want something to happen any any
- 56:38Speaker 1: excuse would do. And so they're using his girlfriend. But
- 56:42Speaker 1: you gotta ask your question just because you gotta what
- 56:45Speaker 1: radio show does she have? She works for one of
- 56:48Speaker 1: the stations in New York. You know, all they're gonna
- 56:51Speaker 1: do is say, well, is that what he's thinking? That's
- 56:54Speaker 1: all that is? Man just gonna be you know, is
- 56:57Speaker 1: that what he's thinking? You know? But it's just crazy, man.
- 57:03Speaker 1: But I mean, you know, I think you know, a
- 57:07Speaker 1: woman standing by a man, I'm okay with that. Uh,
- 57:10Speaker 1: the django reference of Ray Lewis is not really cool.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I could want ball players get out of trail. They
- 57:19Speaker 1: got a whole lot to say after they after the
- 57:22Speaker 1: spotlight ain't on them no more. And you're talking about
- 57:28Speaker 1: Ray Michael Vick. They seem to have a whole lot
- 57:32Speaker 1: to say once they ain't in trouble no more. Well,
- 57:34Speaker 1: it's called learning a valuable lesson. And maybe saying that's
- 57:43Speaker 1: just from my perspective, I mean, that's that's fair assessment.
- 57:46Speaker 1: I don't I don't know what opinion. I mean, you know,
- 57:49Speaker 1: everybody got mad at Michael Vick because he made the statement,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and maybe cal calling need to cut his hand. I
- 57:54Speaker 1: kind of understood where he was coming from, because when
- 57:57Speaker 1: you're trying to change your people's view of you, sometimes
- 58:01Speaker 1: your image is a part of your view. And I
- 58:04Speaker 1: don't think Michael Vickmanny harm by it at all. I
- 58:06Speaker 1: think the admitted with the best intentions, but a lot
- 58:08Speaker 1: of people jumped on it when you shoe shine and
- 58:11Speaker 1: now you're tapping it. Not at all. He just offered
- 58:13Speaker 1: a suggestion to the brother because I'm telling you all man,
- 58:16Speaker 1: you you don't think your hair stops you from having
- 58:19Speaker 1: things in this country? Your best to believe it. Do
- 58:22Speaker 1: all right, we gotta move on here. I'll play golf
- 58:25Speaker 1: with these people. It's what they say. You got to
- 58:27Speaker 1: understand how they are. Man, it's not gonna change because
- 58:30Speaker 1: you wanted to change. I got one somebodyel has set
- 58:34Speaker 1: me the way I am. Okay, well cool, but when
- 58:36Speaker 1: they don't though, all right, nephew, let's get to this letter,
- 58:40Speaker 1: all right, let's do it. Buckle up, hold long tight,
- 58:42Speaker 1: we gotta fun. You stop every letter subject? Think you
- 58:46Speaker 1: tell me Children of the Corn isn't a movie like that? Children? Evil,
- 58:53Speaker 1: Little children? Stephen Shirley, please help. I have a best
- 58:57Speaker 1: friend with whom I have been friends for many years.
- 59:00Speaker 1: We've gone through a lot of ups and downs together,
- 59:03Speaker 1: supported each other through hard times, traveled together, and I've
- 59:07Speaker 1: even watched our children grow. She even gave me a
- 59:09Speaker 1: baby shower for my son, who is now five years old.
- 59:13Speaker 1: She's been a real good friend. She has a son
- 59:16Speaker 1: who is nine years old, and this child is a
- 59:19Speaker 1: demon seed. My son is a normal rough boy who
- 59:23Speaker 1: takes taekwondo, loves power rangers, and does all the rough
- 59:27Speaker 1: stuff that boys usually do, so he's not fragile at all. However,
- 59:31Speaker 1: I do not like to have her son around my
- 59:33Speaker 1: son because my son always winds up accidentally hurt. We
- 59:39Speaker 1: now live in two separate states, so last summer, me
- 59:42Speaker 1: and my children I have a teenage daughter as well,
- 59:44Speaker 1: went to visit her and her children. On the first day,
- 59:48Speaker 1: her son this is on the first day, let me
- 59:50Speaker 1: read that line again. On the first day, her son
- 59:54Speaker 1: accidentally hit my son in the stomach with a bat
- 59:58Speaker 1: while they were outside playing. My son came into the
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: house crying and her son said it was an accident.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: On the second day, he accidentally threw a baseball into
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: my son's stomach with excessive force. On this day, I
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: was sitting in the house while they were outside. My
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: little voice told me to go outside and check on them,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: because I just knew that my son would wind up
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: accidentally hurt. As soon as I opened the door to
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: go outside, my son was coming towards the door, crying
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: as her son was trying to stop him from telling.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: From that point on, I did not let my son
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: out of my sight for the rest of the trip.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: My girlfriend and I are both single, so when we
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: went out that night, I told my teenage daughter not
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: to let her brother out of her sight because I
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: was afraid of what my friend's son might do. Her
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: son's dad is around on a very minimal level and
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: does not discipline him at all. This child is pure evil,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and I have recommended that she get hustling to see
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: what's going on. Well, here's the problem. My friend wants
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: to bring her kids to my house for a visit.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: By the way, her other kids are wonderful. I would
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: love for her to visit, but do not want her
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: child of the corn sun to come. How do I
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: tell her that her son is not welcomed in my
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: home without straining our relationship? Signed A mom who was
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: about to do some corn shook and all right, yeah,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: this is really crazy. You know what, dear mom, You know, listen,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: it's your house. You make the rules in your own house.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: You cannot bring this confusion around you or your son.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: You know where you lay your head. This is your
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: best friend. So you guys should be able to talk
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: about any and everything. And really, this talk right here
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: is long overdue. Uh. You know what, you put your
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: five year old son at risk with this. You know,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: nine year old little monster. He just could not hit
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: my son in the stomach with a bat or a baseball.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: He just couldn't do that with excessive force. Uh. You
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: know her mom might be right that the sun needs
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: counseling and might be something wrong with him, But how
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: about just some plain old fashion discipline, you know, how
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: about that for a change on his bad behind. Uh?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Just too many accidents happening here, too many And and
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I'm surprised, mom that you haven't said something long before this,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: long before this. So you know, tell her she can't
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: come Unlet's see she gets her son in check. I mean, yeah,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: it's gonna put a strain on the relationship because nobody
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: wants to hear bad things about their children. But this
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: is excessive and something needs to be done. So talk
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: to her before she comes, not when she gets there.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Twelve minutes after. Yeah, well what you got, Steve. That's
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: what you say? Oh that's what I say. What I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: think need to have totally different, a little bit different.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: We'll be bad. You're listening to Steven Show Jean Good
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: today at one p m. I said, today at one

- 1:03:03Speaker 1: one day. Anyway, join me for Facebook Live one thirty
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: pm Eastern today. I'll be there, so make sure you
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: come to But come on Steve with your part two
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: of Today's Strawberry Letter. Children are the caring Stephen Shirley,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: please help. I have a best friend with whom I've
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: been friends with for many years. We've gone through a
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: lot of ups and downs together, supported each other through
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: hard times, traveled together, and I've watched our children grow.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: She even gave me a baby shower for my son,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: who is now five years old. She's been a real
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: good friend. She has a son who's nine years old,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: and this child is a demon. See, my son is
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: a normal rough boy who takes taekwondo, loves pile rangers,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and does all the real stuff that boys usually do,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: so he's not fragile at all. However, I do not
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: like to have her son around my son because my
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: son always winds up accidentally hurt. We now live in
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: separate states, so last summer me and my children. I
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: have a teenage daughter as well, I went to visit
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: her and her children. On the first day, her son
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: at saidently hit my son in the stomach with a
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: bat while they were playing outside. My son came into
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: the house crying and her son said it wasn't accidentally.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: On the second day, he accidentally threw a baseball into
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: my son with excessive force. On this day, I was
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: sitting in the house while they were outside, and my
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: little voice told me to go outside to check on them,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: because I just knew to my son would winding ba
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: accidentally hurt. As soon as I opened the door to
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: go outside, my son was coming towards the door crying
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: as her son was trying to stop him from telling.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: From that point on, I did not I did not
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: let my son out of my sight for the rest
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: of the trip. My girlfriend and I are both singles,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: so when we went out that night, I told my
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: teenage daughter not to let her brother out of her
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: sight because I was afraid of what my friend's son
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: might do. Her son's dad is around on a very
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: minimal level and does not discipline him at all. This childish,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: pure evil, and I recommended that she get him counseling
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to see what's going on. Well, here's a problem. My
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: friend wants to bring her kids in my house for
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: a visit. By the way, her other kids are wonderful.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I would love to have her visit, but not want
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: her child of the corn son to come. How do
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I tell her that I said that her son is
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: not welcomed in my home without straining our friendship. Sign
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: a mom who is about to do some corn shucking, Well,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: corn shucking mama, let me tell you a couple of things.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Because you're a single mother, maybe you haven't heard this.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Boys play like this all the time. The problem is
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: when you put boys together, someone is going to exert
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: themselves as the alpha male. Someone is going to be
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: lead dog in the group. Now, you got a five
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: year old playing with a nine year That four years
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: is huge, especially so early in life. Well, the nine
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: year old boy is just doing what he want to
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: do to your boy. Two things you can do. He's
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: bullying your boy around. He's trying stuff on TV. Finish,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: see some wrestling moves. Get put on him on his
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: next trip. Your boyfriend gets suit flayed and do a
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: couple of fives and carry overs on your side. Notice,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: because he ain't tried this yet. He's just been working
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: on stomach stuff lately. So what he hadn't done is
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: he didn't accidentally hit the five year old in the
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: stomach with a bat then the next day throw the
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: ball so hard in the boy's stomach. Now your boy
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: taking taie kwando. I don't really know what this is.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Y'all know that, but I don't know what discipline it is.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: What's defense? See defense? Maybe your boy needs to take
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: up back swinging in baseball through the offense. See what's
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: gonna happen to the bullet is when he stopped bullying,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: then he gonna find something else. When you hit the
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: bullet back, and the bullet take his first shot in
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the stomach with the baseball back. See the way I
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: raised my sons. Is somebody step on your finger at
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: the school before you get there, I'm sorry or anything
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: from them. You have my permission to step back on
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: their I'm sorry. That's all. And I see be up
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: at the school. Is the whipping bowl his kids listening? Okay, okay,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: see that. I'm sorry. This is the Strawberry letter, the
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: only way to school. These are my the way I'm
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: raising mine. Thank you, Steve. We do have to go
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: join me on Facebook Live today at one thirty pm
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Eastern time, and we're gonna talk about the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Of course, today's Strawberry letter. It was a good one.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Today we'll talk about it. So come on, Steve, introduce
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: that girl. She is here, sure on the whoa her?
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: I need everybody to get on that. Trump then decided
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: that people got to lead the country at the chair.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Got the need the country we need have, Steve Harvey.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: We got the hurricane problems. Now we got people almost
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: gonna get put out of the country. And when President
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Obama speak on this, when President Real Clinton speak on this,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: we know we're on the right side of good. And
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: now I know y'all saying we'll sure what you're talking
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: about we're talking about doctor the deferred action for child
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: of the rivals policy. Now could the President Trump say, well,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: it broke the law. The executive order of President Obama
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: broke the law. Know what he was trying to do
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: was get people to come on and do something about it,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: like the Congress, go do something about it. That's all
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: this was keepen trying to get somebody to do something
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: about it. But I got a question for you, Shirley. Uh.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: The show did not ask this question. I'm asking this question,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: how Malania get here while we're talking about people and
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: keeping it too real for you today? Why are you
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: talking about the charry that brought here by their parents?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: How about people brought here by their benefactors who said
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: they was on the work visa. But that kind of
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: works you can put on top of the table. They
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: got to go under the table. Then you mabody to
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: stay Yes, that ain't even cool. And now you are
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: first lady. So anybody need a dream act that the
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: need to call it the Milannia Trump. People need to
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: stay here the best way they can and say oh
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: did I go too far? Because looks all immigrants not
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Hispanic but the Hispanic people need up to help need
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: black people to help them now more than ever. But
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I need to hear from all the Eastern Europeans and
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Russians and everybody else that's here that's under the dacka
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: the Dream Act too. So y'all need to be speaking
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: up too, because once they finished with the people of color,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: they're coming after you. So tell your congressman to adopt
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: a Dream Act right now, and to force the money
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: for Hurricane Harvey and Herricane Irma. And don't be attaching
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: to the stuff, and don't be up the trippers and Milania.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: We need to see your papers and your birth certificate.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Seed Harvey, who love it? I got your dacker. All right,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: we'll be back. Thank you, Cheryl, as always always always,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: that was right on point. Thank you. We'll be right back.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, coming up.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Steve ice Cube was your special guest on your new
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: talk show. It's just called Steve. I love that, yeah,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: because you know I've followed all the big big people.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: You know, open, she ain't open with open. You know
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: you don't see generous up there. Just ell yeah, okay,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: So I just went with Steve. Yeah, and then you know,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: like when I when I, when I get bigger and
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: most successful, I will just change it to Steve. Hey,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: we gotta say the V black. Don't put the V
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: on it anyway. I've been calling They've been calling me
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: STV my whole life. Ah, my friend Stave. Yeah, I
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: ain't heard the V. Steve. I always call you. Yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: but you pretty and the girl Steve. You know, yeah,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: just you pretty and the girl. One of my friends say,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: now I look at him strange, Steve, don't you know? Yeah?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I was just tripping, man, I'm sorry. Don't When did
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: you go from a little Stevie to Steve just? I
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: was never a little Stevie. I thought you were a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: little Stevie when you were younger. I mean, you know,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: you know, little at school or something like that. You
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: know somebody you know, I don't really know you, you know,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: little dude. I was skinny. So you know, a couple
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: of dudes don't play little Stevie. You know older boys
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: that my brother friend little Stevie was up. But you know,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: I didn't really accept that anyway. Back to what I
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: was saying, you asked ice Cube some after the show,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: rapid fire questions. But first Cube got his start in
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: hip hop with a chipped tooth. Take a listen. This
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: guy is one of the great greatest mcs. We don't
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: call it that. People might not know this, so listen
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: to this. It all started with a chip tooth. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it did. My uncle Jerry, he was taking me. I
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: was ten years old. I chipped my tooth because I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: i uh stayed home from school. I told my mama
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: was sick, and when she went to the store, I
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: went and played in the garage and there was a
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: thing called a dolly when kids used to have to
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: take out the trash. I don't know if they take
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: out the trash. No, they don't do none of that.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I was playing what I stepped on the end of it.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: It came and hit me in the mouth, chip my tooth.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: So my uncle Jerry was taking me to the to
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: the dentist and he was playing this song called rappers Delight,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: and it just blew my mind. And I made him
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: play it over and over and over and over again
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: until he said, oh, Shay, look, I'm tired of this
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: damn song. We need to listen to some compunction. So
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: but I wasn't you know? I was. I was hooked.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I was hooked on wrap from then on and I
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: was just seek it anywhere I could. And uh started
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: doing it at fourteen. That's crazy that you know. You know,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it's crazy because you meet people. It's always the smallest thing.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: He chipped his too. This is a pretty messed up
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: thing as a kid because you gotta go to public
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: school tomorrow, which I hated that it was right here
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: in the front too. Yeah. This also, you got a
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: historic album called Death Certificate to celebrates twenty fifth year.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: This is the adversary, the Death Certificate. Yeah, and to
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: celebrate it, that's gotta be a rerelease with three new
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: songs on it. Death Certificate. This is a true story
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: for me, the first hip hop album I ever bought
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: because of a line that you had in it. I
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: can't say on TV, but that line made me buy
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: the album. I ain't want nothing else, just that line. Right.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: I should have did a remix for you. Yeah, Hey man,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: let's get on a little bit bus because this summer
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: was big for you. Man. You got the Big three League.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: It launched this summer which justus had this championship game.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: If you all watched in here. This this is some
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: great basket. This is your brain child, you came up
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: with this. Man, how would how would you describe it
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: for folks that haven't seen it. Well, you know it's
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: professional three on three basketball. Um, And you know, we
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: all grew up playing basketball. Most of us grew up
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: playing three on three in the backyard. You know, we
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: could rarely get a five on five game. You know,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: either the courts were taken up when you get there,

- 1:21:04Speaker 1: is dre for ray Rays hide away location spot. Angela
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: helped Tasha track down Tyreeks cell phone to figure out
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: where Tyreek was. Long story short, Ghost and Tommy shows up,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: goes to ray Ray spot, so does Tasha. Tyreek killed
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Ray Ray and got for killing his twin sister was
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: going trip. Now Ghost gonna be heard cause that's his
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: soon right. But now Ghost and went out there with Tommy.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: They're gonna handle some beers and Tyreek had already handled it,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: but they can't find Tyrek or he had here. He
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: didn't say and downloaded that damn little Wayne video. I

- 1:23:13Speaker 1: the damn that's how we're hoping it. I explained, I
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: explained everything to him. How I ain't want no Trump. Yeah,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: you hold on. You got off in the village. I
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: went in. Now there's black people over here. We all
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: want no problem. I can't even finish. We can't talking
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: about power. I want to get your opinion of something else.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Go ahead, you can talk about what you want, all right.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: So now Tarik he realizes that he finally sees we're

- 1:24:29Speaker 1: when we left off last break, we were talking about

- 1:24:34Speaker 1: We know that Tyreek kill Ray ready to give revenge
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: on his twin sister Rain is death. Now what I
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: think Trek has learned Steve for what I think he
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: sees what kind of family he's in now because his
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: mama told him how to clean up after you kill
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: somebody and how to wash this. You know you don't
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: kill someday an body. Yeah, you know I want to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: go to prison. You got you to your mama. Now,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: your mama didn't tell you to go down there. And kill.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: But we're out there on that sarup and it got
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: your answers to the situation. Mess around with no Wayne
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: nor Waine put it on he go down Wayne recipe
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: for Sarah Lean. Now you're gonna leave your ass damn
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: near the prison. Now your mama trying to help you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: not college here. See the kind of family you got
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: trying to keep his ass out of jake Ye. They
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: got cleaned up that blood. You gotta get rid of forensics.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: But the ain't nothing can really help you Ghost. His
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: dad and his uncle Tommy got them get rid, got
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: rid of the body. But there's something. They're gonna mess
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: around and have some fibers down there because they're gonna
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: find it. Cause black people got the same kind of hell. Yeah,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: we do, same kind of call guilty. Black hair on
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: the floor. Is it could be in the well? Actually
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: yeah we Actually they left the bullet. There's a bullet
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: in the wall. And Angela here she comes found the
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: bullet in the wall, and so she's found some evidence.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: So now Tyrek is turning into a young ghost. Yes exactly, Carlin.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: That's that's why ghost gonna go. Tyrek gonna take his place,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Gold go ahead to go now ghost Oh okay, who
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: played go Murray Hardwick, he was on your show. He
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: don't dog, Oh, Maury got other gigs. He can't. He
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: can't leave power okay all the money, although we did
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: say that when he left being married Jane Carlin. Just
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: this boy could act for real. They finn to give
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: him my offer. He got to go, Steve. You playing
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: that kind of money on stars. Usually when you say
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: stuff like that, it comes true. So I'm trying to
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: tell y'all when you ain't gonna want the boy got
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: to come up. He got time to stay here playing
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: with Ficken died. He won. You can be fifty. You
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: keep taking it down right in the fifty cane in
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: fifties character Tommy and ghosts now are together because guess
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: who got the power right now? Dre dr has the

- 1:28:23Speaker 1: need to be? We gotta go. Thank you, thank you.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: does marriage make you a better person? That is a
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: question on the table right now, Hey, let me get
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: on this show. A new study from Tilburg University in
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: the Netherlands the just that marriage can make you a
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: better person, specifically, getting hitched makes you more forgiving and
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: more like lead to exercise self control. All right, that's
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: what it said. Who they studied. This is a new study.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: They studied married married people, people that are in from
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: the Netherlands. It suggested marriage can make you a better person. Specifically,
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: getting hitched makes you more forgiving. It makes you more forgiving,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: tom mar and it makes you more likely to exercise
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: self control. Not if you're married to the wrong nothing, tommy, No,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: that's in the Netherlands. What are the one they got
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: for over here? Thank you man, you married the wrong person.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: It will not make you a better person. It makes
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: you better at doing certain thing like become a lot
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: more craft better cheater, you don't ask its real craft.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Can learn something you can thank you, chee. Would you
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: learn like not how to go home? If you learned
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: about spots, you know about a lot of restaurants. You
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: have a lot of little cubby holes in the restaurants.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: You know how to walk in places of spot cameras,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: you learned a lot of the back way. You know,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: you use your phone different. But I was out there.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Wasn't no phone cameras, was no GPS, was none of that.
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: When you're out there, Yeah, and I was out there.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: All is now I already know I'm good because where
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna go, everybody call my heads home. GPS off
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: your phone. You got to turn that off soon as
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: you leave out. Hey, dog, if you famous, you can't
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: do nothing. You just can't do nothing. Just go home. Dog.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: If you're famous and you're not happy, just get yourself
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: a divorce man, because you're gonna get seen. Yeah, and
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: it will be a scandal. I'm gonna go put you
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: out to Yeah, just freaking me. Did you did you
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: want to say that aloud? And did you want to
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: keep that to yourself? He said, just go for a
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: miserable meeting. That's time you can go to talk to
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: other miserable. Why didn't he get married? I didn't. Y'all
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: ain't telling me everything. Oh, let's move on. If you're
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: stressed out about money. According to data from the American
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Psychological Association, money is the number one cause of stress
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: for Americans. Uh, these may be a few reasons why.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: Credit card debt, stuff like that, student loan um, and
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: just Americans have no savings. Those are a couple of
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: the reasons. I mean it's hard. You know a lot
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: of people live check to check. Is hard because you
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: need all your money to live on. And then you go,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: you go won't something. Yeah, it's hard to save. Man,
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: you want something. Now, if you quit won't stuff, you
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: could save your money. You ain't gonna have nothing now
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you're going to work for nothing. That's the that's the
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: catch twenty two. You go to work to have something.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Then if you're gonna need to have something, you need
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: to save it. Now. You cahing man, all right, We'll
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: be back with just one more thing. We'll close out

- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Hurricane Irma potentially catastrophic. It's what the forecasters are saying.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: That's how they're saying it. At the National Hurricane Center Uh,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: that this is how they're describing Hurricane Irma's so they're
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: warning you. They're telling you be prepared. Stock up on food,

- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Florida Governor Rick Scott warned that IRMA could bring life
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: threatening storm surges, wind rain, all of that. Um. President

- 1:35:43Speaker 1: by Hurricane Harvey. Harvey, so I think you did the
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: tips earlier this morning. Carla, let's do those tips again
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: because they're so important. Yeah, we were telling everyone to,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: you know, prepare. I've been reading some of the news
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: reports that some of the Florida stores or out of
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: bottled water. So you need to if you're evacuate and
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: go to your neighboring states. You know, you have to
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: go to North Carolina, South Carolina, George or all of
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: these neighboring states. Alabama. You've got to be prepared. If
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: your leaders tell you to evacuate, evacuate, listen to what
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: the leaders are telling you. Surely just talked about what
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: the weather report is saying about the wind and the rain.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: You have to evacuate and be safe and make sure
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: you have batteries, your medication, get your prescriptions. You need food,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: nonperishable food items. All of these things that you have
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: to have to be prepared. Charge your phones going by.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I went to buy a bunch of these a portable chargers,
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: those phone chargers that you can take with you. Get
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: some of those. Have all those handy and ready, so
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: you can be safe and your family can communicate to
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: you and hear from you and know that everything is
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: is okay and most of all prey. Okay, you just
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: scarlet and got all the main stuff out there. But
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: here's here's something you need to remember. Sleep in another
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: room where your wife and sleep sleep in there. Okay. Now,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you through the full five days
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: that you find to go. I'm just trying to get
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: you a nice little area in another room. Get you
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: a bag with some food and stuff in there, because
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: you may be in there for a while without you don't.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: You don't want to be in the room with your
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: wife in case something you can protect, and you want
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: to be if some happening to your Holly, and tell
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: you it's happening from the another room, and keep your
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: head level. This is a time in your life you're
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: gonna realize this really might not be your soul making
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: that when you did you ever think it was your
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: soul mate? Yes? For years, but them four days together
