- 1:57Speaker 1: my next game is one of my favorite guess. He's
- 1:59Speaker 1: a person UH I met on Money Making Conversation. We
- 2:02Speaker 1: developed a relationship soon as I got all fair. We
- 2:05Speaker 1: talked about it. Uh. We talked about this TV show
- 2:07Speaker 1: that I appeared on a little bit later on. His
- 2:09Speaker 1: name is Ash Cash. He's one of America's leading financial educators,
- 2:13Speaker 1: a personal finance expert, business coach, speaker, best selling author,
- 2:17Speaker 1: TV and radio personality. He's the founder and CEO or
- 2:21Speaker 1: mind Right Money Management and Financial Education and media company
- 2:25Speaker 1: and bilding in psychology and personal finance. He holds the
- 2:29Speaker 1: ash cast Show, or a daily live financial news show,
- 2:32Speaker 1: which streams money through Friday eight a m the nine
- 2:34Speaker 1: am Eastern Standard Time on his YouTube channel, providing motivation
- 2:38Speaker 1: and advice on finance, entrepreneurship, and more. He's on the
- 2:42Speaker 1: show discussed this new book which I just read. It
- 2:44Speaker 1: was a very entertaining book. It's a memoir slash motivational
- 2:48Speaker 1: book about financial and how to get your life right
- 2:51Speaker 1: in many different circumstances. It's entitled From the Block to
- 2:55Speaker 1: the Bank, How to make the most of your circumstance
- 2:57Speaker 1: to maximize your full potential. He's on the show to
- 3:00Speaker 1: talk about unlocking the vault please working to money making
- 3:03Speaker 1: conversations as cast brother. Thank you so much, man, Thank
- 3:08Speaker 1: you so much for having me. Always always a plea,
- 3:11Speaker 1: always good energy. Will be connected. Well, you know, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: I love talking to you and I love I love
- 3:16Speaker 1: reading books and um because I I you know, I
- 3:19Speaker 1: get a lot of great authors on my show. And
- 3:21Speaker 1: one of the things I guess that they do a
- 3:23Speaker 1: lot of interviews with people kind of act like they're
- 3:25Speaker 1: ready to read your book and then interview you because
- 3:28Speaker 1: nothing about your book at the end of the interview.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But the importance of your book is why you on
- 3:33Speaker 1: the show. The i portness of the value and the
- 3:35Speaker 1: experience you brought to being able to write the book.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's why you're on the show. And I want to
- 3:40Speaker 1: read a little a little extract I pulled from the
- 3:42Speaker 1: book very On. This is from ash Cashers book. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: was born to an immigrant mom who spoke no English.
- 3:48Speaker 1: My father didn't want me, my brother didn't like me,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and my sister beat me up. My neighborhood was filled
- 3:53Speaker 1: with cracking poverty. The church despised me, the schools thought
- 3:57Speaker 1: I was dumb and wanted to put me in their
- 3:59Speaker 1: special head, and my basketball coach didn't think I was
- 4:01Speaker 1: good enough. Today, I am the greatest money mindset coach
- 4:06Speaker 1: on the planet and one of the world's top financial
- 4:08Speaker 1: educators and financially free and run multiple businesses with my wife,
- 4:13Speaker 1: best friend and the mother of my two sons, all
- 4:16Speaker 1: the same person. I'm a bestselling author who has written
- 4:20Speaker 1: over ten books, and I have positively affected millions of lives.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have been featured on more major media outlets and
- 4:26Speaker 1: world media outlets worldwide, and I'm regarded as one of
- 4:29Speaker 1: the true financial motivators because of my unmatched energy that
- 4:34Speaker 1: came from your book. That shows that you know, people
- 4:38Speaker 1: can stereotype, people can bach and hold you. People can
- 4:42Speaker 1: tell you what they think you should be or can be,
- 4:46Speaker 1: but that does not determine your destiny. That is why
- 4:49Speaker 1: I pulled that out, because that is the message I
- 4:51Speaker 1: put on money making conversation on a weekly basis. And
- 4:54Speaker 1: here you do it in this book, your memoir that
- 4:57Speaker 1: you've written. This a memoire slash financial book. And I
- 4:59Speaker 1: think it's an poor not, says him in Wall, because
- 5:01Speaker 1: a lot of people write books, man, and they don't
- 5:04Speaker 1: have money in the bank. They don't need motivated or
- 5:07Speaker 1: frog to jump. Okay, And what he's telling you is
- 5:09Speaker 1: that his life is a motivation And if I'm missing
- 5:12Speaker 1: anything feeling filling the blanks their ash, you know, that's
- 5:15Speaker 1: exactly it. And it's funny because even even years later,
- 5:20Speaker 1: as you were reading that like that, it was it
- 5:22Speaker 1: was painful, right, not painful because of the memories. But
- 5:28Speaker 1: how many people out there have the same story, um,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and they allow that story, uh to dictate their life. UM.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I have a bunch of my friends who are dead
- 5:38Speaker 1: or in jail because they were, They too had the
- 5:40Speaker 1: similar background. Um, but instead of you know, taking their
- 5:44Speaker 1: destiny in their own hands, um, they listened, you know.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And And so for me, you know, one of the
- 5:51Speaker 1: reasons why I wanted to write this book was because, um,
- 5:54Speaker 1: there's somebody right now who's going through something right who um,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you know, who thinks that worthy, who believes that they
- 6:01Speaker 1: are you know, aren't gonna amount to anything, um, and
- 6:04Speaker 1: they're ready to give up. Um. And too many times
- 6:07Speaker 1: we look at successful people um and don't know the
- 6:11Speaker 1: backstory um, and we just believe that they just kind
- 6:14Speaker 1: of kind of woke up and was successful. Right. But
- 6:17Speaker 1: but but if we tell the stories and someone who
- 6:20Speaker 1: looks at me and says, oh my god, look at
- 6:22Speaker 1: this guy's got get kicked out of school four times.
- 6:25Speaker 1: He was expelled from the tenth grade, he was kicked
- 6:28Speaker 1: out in the first grade for fighting, like and this
- 6:31Speaker 1: guy like this is the guy who's doing all this
- 6:33Speaker 1: falsome stuff. Oh, I believe I could do it. And
- 6:36Speaker 1: so that was one of the reasons why I decided
- 6:38Speaker 1: that it was time to tell the story. Well, then, importantly,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I think that when we talk about like I grew
- 6:44Speaker 1: up in the neighborhood, Houston, Texas, you know too, very
- 6:48Speaker 1: shotgun house. I tell the story all the time on
- 6:50Speaker 1: the show because I want to remind people that don't
- 6:52Speaker 1: look at me now, look at me back then and
- 6:54Speaker 1: back then? Is that journey? And then we talked about
- 6:57Speaker 1: putting together this book. So when we talked about the
- 7:00Speaker 1: memoir portion of the book and then the financial motivation
- 7:03Speaker 1: portion of the book, why combined the two? Yeah, because
- 7:07Speaker 1: I think that a lot of times, I mean you
- 7:09Speaker 1: you alluded to this earlier, right, A lot of times
- 7:12Speaker 1: people just write these motivational books like they might have
- 7:15Speaker 1: read a book, and then because they read the book,
- 7:17Speaker 1: they're like, oh this sounds good. Let me let let
- 7:19Speaker 1: me not give the advice. They might have went through
- 7:21Speaker 1: one coaching session, and then because they went through the
- 7:24Speaker 1: one coaching session that now they are a certified coach
- 7:26Speaker 1: and the coaching people. Um. For me, I wanted people
- 7:29Speaker 1: to know, uh that yes, I'm from the projects, but
- 7:32Speaker 1: I wanted you to understand all of the ups and
- 7:35Speaker 1: downs that I went through for forty years of my life. Right,
- 7:38Speaker 1: so I wrote this book, uh, you know, right as
- 7:40Speaker 1: when I turned forty years old. And so when when
- 7:43Speaker 1: you when you look at from from the day I
- 7:46Speaker 1: was born, you know, to forty. Here's some ups and
- 7:49Speaker 1: downs that I was going through. But despite it all,
- 7:52Speaker 1: I've still managed to be successful. And so in a way,
- 7:56Speaker 1: my memoir is my receipt. It's just it's to kind
- 7:59Speaker 1: of show you live sent you know, regardless of what
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're going through. Here you can go through. You you
- 8:03Speaker 1: could go through and still be successful. But now here
- 8:06Speaker 1: are these forty principles that I call the class advances.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Here are these forty principles that you can actually you know,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know, um um take the action towards you can
- 8:17Speaker 1: really just uh you know, you know, implement them to
- 8:20Speaker 1: actually maximize your full potential regardless of what your circumstances.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm talking to Ash Cash his book From the Block
- 8:26Speaker 1: to the Banks, brand new book. Uh Like he said,
- 8:29Speaker 1: he's written over ten books From the Block to the Bank,
- 8:31Speaker 1: how to make the most of your circumstances, to maximize
- 8:34Speaker 1: your full potential. Because we had a lot, Ash Cash,
- 8:36Speaker 1: we had a lot about potential with a lot by gifts, purpose, faith,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you know, especially the last ten years, especially with social media.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Social media is driven by motivation uplift that drives and
- 8:48Speaker 1: so you've got a lot of people out there talking
- 8:49Speaker 1: about potential and following your gifts and not being denied
- 8:53Speaker 1: as to who you are. But you are a financial
- 8:55Speaker 1: motivator and I love your energy. What is separating you
- 8:59Speaker 1: right now from the competition? Yeah, I think I think
- 9:02Speaker 1: that that the ability to just not be uh, not
- 9:06Speaker 1: be afraid to be vulnerable. Um. There's so many people
- 9:09Speaker 1: who believe that if they don't give uh or if
- 9:13Speaker 1: they give their full self people, people are not going
- 9:15Speaker 1: to connect with them. Uh. And so they put up
- 9:18Speaker 1: this um you know, this this this vision or this
- 9:21Speaker 1: person that's not really who they are. UM. For me,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I I still may I still make mistakes right now,
- 9:28Speaker 1: like I'm I'm talking about like I made a mistake yesterday, right,
- 9:31Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, Uh, it is
- 9:33Speaker 1: the ability to to to look at everything, the good,
- 9:36Speaker 1: the bad, the ugly, put them together and just know
- 9:39Speaker 1: that everything is perfect, everything is working for your greater good. Um.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And and so I I don't I don't hide against
- 9:46Speaker 1: my imperfections. Uh. In fact, it is it is my
- 9:49Speaker 1: imperfections uh that that make me greatness on display, right
- 9:54Speaker 1: because I I know that in order to be great,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you have to uh, you know, know what great people
- 10:00Speaker 1: do and and it hasn't been a great person that
- 10:03Speaker 1: I've connected with that I've read about that that that
- 10:07Speaker 1: that that that wasn't flawed. Um. And so I think
- 10:10Speaker 1: that that that ability to uh, you know, to be
- 10:12Speaker 1: relatable UM to you know, you know, reach people where
- 10:16Speaker 1: they are, UM is you know, is what makes me different.
- 10:19Speaker 1: We you know what I'm to share. I always like
- 10:21Speaker 1: to share personal stories, just like you just shared a
- 10:23Speaker 1: personal story or flaw I've I've recently had an account
- 10:27Speaker 1: where I was asked to do an event and I
- 10:30Speaker 1: went to the event and I and I was just tired,
- 10:33Speaker 1: mentally tired, and that I didn't want to walk around.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I don't want to I didn't want to put on
- 10:38Speaker 1: effort even though I was physically there. Well, some notes
- 10:41Speaker 1: came back, and every note that the caming back about
- 10:44Speaker 1: the event was stuff I could have fixed, of stuff
- 10:47Speaker 1: I could have character the next all created relationship and
- 10:51Speaker 1: explained it out, and so it let me believe that
- 10:53Speaker 1: that was my mistake. My mistake was that I and
- 10:56Speaker 1: a lot of times we do make mistakes. We make
- 10:58Speaker 1: mistakes because we know it. We just don't maximize our effort,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and so you know, that's the understanding. Mistakes are kind
- 11:05Speaker 1: of controlled eras I'd like to call them, because of
- 11:08Speaker 1: the fact that you're in a position to stop it.
- 11:10Speaker 1: But sometimes you go, I don't feel like doing it, dude.
- 11:12Speaker 1: It becomes a mistake when you don't do it, but
- 11:14Speaker 1: it may not become a speake if you exercise the
- 11:17Speaker 1: effort to do what you've been required to do, get
- 11:20Speaker 1: up on time, do the work that's been assigned you.
- 11:24Speaker 1: If you owe somebody of the money, pay it back
- 11:26Speaker 1: to it, don't take a loan you came back, pay back.
- 11:28Speaker 1: These are mistakes that you can actually control. And that's
- 11:30Speaker 1: what your book is about. It's five transactions and it's
- 11:33Speaker 1: forty cash advances. So naturally, you know, when we talk
- 11:37Speaker 1: about the vault, we talked about the ash cash. So
- 11:40Speaker 1: we keep it everything normal, keep it everything and flow
- 11:43Speaker 1: with your tone and your brand. That's what I love
- 11:45Speaker 1: your brand. So how did the brand of ass cash
- 11:48Speaker 1: come about? Yeah, so the brand of aask cast is
- 11:51Speaker 1: really I've always been an entrepreneur, you know, packing bags
- 11:54Speaker 1: eight years old at the local supermarket, selling mixtapes and
- 11:58Speaker 1: T shirts, and so I'm you know, don't forget that, right,
- 12:04Speaker 1: that's out the cool lady, that's out, the rid s kid.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Who put me all? You know?
- 12:08Speaker 1: And so uh you know, you know, you know, you know,
- 12:10Speaker 1: always being an entrepreneur, always figuring it out. Um you
- 12:15Speaker 1: know from that working you know at the video store
- 12:17Speaker 1: Blockbuster Videos at seventeen. You know, that'sh out of my
- 12:20Speaker 1: sister who who helped me not become a drug dealer, right,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and so you know I had I had one ft
- 12:25Speaker 1: and one foot out trying to figure out what I
- 12:27Speaker 1: was gonna do. You know, sister was like, listen, let me,
- 12:29Speaker 1: let me get you a job and then becoming a banker.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So I've always, um, you know, had you know, this
- 12:35Speaker 1: entrepreneurship spirit. The funny thing is that I was a
- 12:38Speaker 1: vice president at one of the largest financial institutions in
- 12:41Speaker 1: the world. Decided that I wanted to write a book
- 12:44Speaker 1: in two thousand and nine. Um, and you know I
- 12:47Speaker 1: could have wrote it as ass examtis, but because I
- 12:50Speaker 1: was licensed, because I was uh you know, you know,
- 12:53Speaker 1: uh officer of the bank. Um, you know, I couldn't
- 12:56Speaker 1: do it. And so I needed to you know, I
- 12:58Speaker 1: needed to find an alien and I said, why m
- 13:00Speaker 1: not tap into the to the to the guy you
- 13:03Speaker 1: know who who was eight? Who the guy was? You know,
- 13:06Speaker 1: twelve years old packing bags and twelve years old selling
- 13:08Speaker 1: mix tape and t shirts. Um. And that's how you know.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I started riding with the name ash Cash UM and
- 13:13Speaker 1: then it continued to grow UM. And now literally if
- 13:18Speaker 1: you google ash Cash right now, Ash examples which is
- 13:22Speaker 1: my real name, right, you know comes up? Which is
- 13:24Speaker 1: which is beautiful, which means you cant run from the truth.
- 13:29Speaker 1: It's finally here, the season of celebration. And no matter
- 13:32Speaker 1: how you celebrate with family and friends, whether you're preparing
- 13:36Speaker 1: for reys magos or karamu lighting the Manura, are going
- 13:39Speaker 1: to midnight mass, Coals has just what you need to
- 13:42Speaker 1: make those traditions special. Plus you'll find gifts for all
- 13:46Speaker 1: your loved ones. Send warm wishes with Cozy Fleece's sweaters, loungeware,
- 13:51Speaker 1: blankets and throws. Support minority owned or founded brands by
- 13:55Speaker 1: giving gifts from Human Nation and shame moisture or treat
- 13:58Speaker 1: them to everyone's favor it activewear from top brands like Nike,
- 14:02Speaker 1: Adidas and under Armour. And in the spirit of giving
- 14:06Speaker 1: Coals Cares is donating eight million dollars to local nonprofits
- 14:10Speaker 1: nationwide committed to the health and well being of our communities.

- 14:23Speaker 1: dot com. Hi everyone, I'll Roker here as a guy
- 14:26Speaker 1: with his own catchphrase. I appreciate that Smokey's only said
- 14:30Speaker 1: only you can prevent wildfires, but I'm filling in because
- 14:33Speaker 1: there's a lot more to report, like when they're parched
- 14:36Speaker 1: or windy conditions out there. You've gotta be extra careful
- 14:39Speaker 1: with things like burning yard waist. After all, wildfires can
- 14:43Speaker 1: start anywhere, even in your neck of the woods. Go
- 14:46Speaker 1: to Smokey Bear dot com to learn more about wildfire prevention,
- 14:50Speaker 1: brought to you by the U. S. Forest Service, your
- 14:52Speaker 1: state Forrester, and the ad Council. Adoption of teams from
- 14:56Speaker 1: foster care is a topic not enough people know about,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and we're here to change that. I'm April Dinuity, host
- 15:01Speaker 1: of the new podcast Navigating Adoption, presented by adopt us Kids.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Each episode brings you compelling, real life adoption stories told
- 15:09Speaker 1: by the families that lived them with commentary from experts.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Visit adopt us Kids dot org, slash podcast, or subscribe
- 15:15Speaker 1: to Navigating Adoption, presented by adopt us Kids, brought to
- 15:19Speaker 1: you by the U. S Department of Health and Human
- 15:21Speaker 1: Service as Administration for Children and Families and the Council. Now,
- 15:25Speaker 1: when we talk about the book that we've talked about,
- 15:27Speaker 1: we're talking about your life. Who are you targeting, ash
- 15:29Speaker 1: Cash when you write a book like this? Uh, you know,
- 15:31Speaker 1: the millennials are just dominating social media that that they
- 15:36Speaker 1: age you from eighteen to thirty four. They want to
- 15:38Speaker 1: be entrepreneurs, they want to be vendors, They don't want
- 15:41Speaker 1: to work that four day hour week shift. Then we
- 15:43Speaker 1: have the fourth the plus forty, who tend to use
- 15:47Speaker 1: their ages and excuse as say why they can't achieve
- 15:49Speaker 1: their dreams. So talk to us about who are you targeting,
- 15:53Speaker 1: especially on the male female breakdown. Yeah, and so so
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's really it's all of the above, you know, because
- 16:00Speaker 1: us I feel like um from from that that person
- 16:03Speaker 1: who UM is you know, working or the person who's
- 16:07Speaker 1: the eighteen and thirty four year old millennial UM who
- 16:09Speaker 1: doesn't want to work and is becoming an entrepreneur. Um. There,
- 16:13Speaker 1: you know, the book is just to them because when
- 16:16Speaker 1: you think about the ups and downs, right, I you know,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I I was a VP, quit my job, then you know,
- 16:22Speaker 1: started to become an entrepreneur, entrepreneurship didn't work, had to
- 16:26Speaker 1: get a job again, then had to quit again. So
- 16:28Speaker 1: there was a lot of ups and downs. Um. And
- 16:29Speaker 1: so anybody who is going through that journey is gonna
- 16:32Speaker 1: learn some lessons about you know, how to really uh
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know, make that transition from from nine to five
- 16:40Speaker 1: to a full time entrepreneur. But then also, uh, you
- 16:44Speaker 1: know that forty plus person right who is looking for
- 16:47Speaker 1: that reinvention who says, you know what, it's my age,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I can't do anything, but really just needs to know
- 16:53Speaker 1: that regardless, as long as you have breath in your body,
- 16:55Speaker 1: there's always an opportunity to move forward. And so you know,
- 16:58Speaker 1: the book is for anybody, right, anybody who has ever
- 17:04Speaker 1: thoughts or been told that they can't maximize their full
- 17:09Speaker 1: potential and just needs that extra motivation and the instruction
- 17:14Speaker 1: and step by step instruction on how to actually make
- 17:16Speaker 1: it happen. Well, it's a fun book. It's a fun
- 17:19Speaker 1: and when I say fun book. When I'm saying, you're
- 17:21Speaker 1: gonna talk about his life, I'm saying, some of the
- 17:23Speaker 1: things that happened to life isn't funny, but it's entertaining,
- 17:26Speaker 1: because that's why he's a colorful writer. You know, you
- 17:29Speaker 1: actually can see I was telling my stuff. They said, sure,
- 17:31Speaker 1: what do you think of the book? I said, you know,
- 17:33Speaker 1: if I if I've watched fifty since series on Stars,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know, raising Kanaan, I think that I think this.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I think this is his I said, I think this
- 17:49Speaker 1: is his pro rand there, I said, because and that's
- 17:51Speaker 1: the beauty of this timing of this book because of
- 17:54Speaker 1: the fact that I'm talking about the Prepowers series that
- 17:57Speaker 1: they have on right now. This feels so ingrain because
- 18:01Speaker 1: it's by New York is about that the colorful era
- 18:03Speaker 1: of drugs and violence and living in the community. I
- 18:07Speaker 1: think he couldn't have brought this book out at a
- 18:09Speaker 1: better time because it's such a popular summer series. And
- 18:12Speaker 1: when I read it, I kept envisioning and looking at
- 18:15Speaker 1: the character structure and all that talk about that man,
- 18:17Speaker 1: and I am I missing the boat. When I'm saying
- 18:19Speaker 1: this as cash now your hundred said, right, you know
- 18:22Speaker 1: what one of the things, um that it isn't talked
- 18:25Speaker 1: about a lot, is um how dangerous the eighties and
- 18:28Speaker 1: the nineties were, uh you know how uh you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I remember, you know, being eight years old, ten years old,
- 18:35Speaker 1: having to go to school by myself, right or with
- 18:38Speaker 1: my sister. My mom was at work, um, and it
- 18:41Speaker 1: was a dangerous time. You know, there were shootouts, there
- 18:44Speaker 1: were you know, you know, drug dealing, there were you know,
- 18:47Speaker 1: crack happening. There was our sexual activity, you know saying
- 18:51Speaker 1: there was a lot going on in our neighborhoods. And
- 18:54Speaker 1: so I think that people don't realize, um, how that
- 18:58Speaker 1: time has been paid pivotal um and who we have become, um,
- 19:03Speaker 1: not only as adult, for that society as well, and
- 19:05Speaker 1: so um, you know it is definitely, um urban story.
- 19:10Speaker 1: It's an urban tell. It's it's it's something that you
- 19:12Speaker 1: know people, you know, I saw a dead body right
- 19:15Speaker 1: before I turned twelve years old, Like to actually see
- 19:18Speaker 1: somebody dead, right like that, Like that's something that you
- 19:22Speaker 1: know as a parent, right you know, my my my
- 19:24Speaker 1: daughter's thirteen, My son is is six years old. Like
- 19:27Speaker 1: some of the things that like, like I was looking
- 19:29Speaker 1: at my son the other day, I said, I can't
- 19:31Speaker 1: even fathom him having a fist fight with anybody at
- 19:35Speaker 1: his age. And but at his age, I was kicked
- 19:38Speaker 1: out of school for for having fist fight, so the
- 19:42Speaker 1: time was different. Um. It's a blessing though, to to
- 19:46Speaker 1: actually be here and be able to have the conversations
- 19:50Speaker 1: and tell the stories, um, And and also to be
- 19:53Speaker 1: able to, you know, as a parent, understand how blessed
- 19:57Speaker 1: I am, but then also how blessed my my family
- 19:59Speaker 1: and children are. Absolutely I was, like I said, the
- 20:02Speaker 1: book is five five transactions, forty cash advances. That's how
- 20:07Speaker 1: the chapters are broken down. Now, it was like I
- 20:09Speaker 1: pulled out by five of I wanted to just just
- 20:12Speaker 1: just throw some gems out in conversation with you. The
- 20:15Speaker 1: first one in our cash Advance five believe in your
- 20:18Speaker 1: powers to make anything happen. And then I'm gonna just
- 20:21Speaker 1: rattle them off and then we're gonna come back. And
- 20:23Speaker 1: then Cash Advances of a ten take action despite of fear.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That's very important. And then Cash Advance number twelve embraced
- 20:31Speaker 1: negative and positive feedback. And you kind of talk about
- 20:34Speaker 1: that in me just a minute ago when I talked
- 20:36Speaker 1: about I went to the event and then I didn't
- 20:38Speaker 1: just shut down and go hey man, screw that. I
- 20:40Speaker 1: looked inside myself, look in the mirror, and said, what
- 20:42Speaker 1: did you do? And so Cash Advance number thirty two
- 20:45Speaker 1: create your legacy now, and Cash Advance thirty four change
- 20:49Speaker 1: your perspective on struggle. Wow, this is just several of
- 20:53Speaker 1: the forty fantastic chapters that he has, and they are
- 20:57Speaker 1: all Each one is called a cash Advanced with the
- 20:59Speaker 1: associated number. Let's go back up to Cash Advance number five.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Believe in your powers to make anything happen? Why so
- 21:07Speaker 1: so so yeah, yeah, Eddie Spears says, anything is possible, uh,
- 21:12Speaker 1: with no matter who you are or where you come from,
- 21:15Speaker 1: find your path and stay on it, right, And so
- 21:19Speaker 1: you have to believe in your powers to make anything
- 21:21Speaker 1: happen because no matter who you are, you know, everything
- 21:24Speaker 1: starts in the mind, right everything. And and so when
- 21:28Speaker 1: we start to allow other people to um tell us
- 21:32Speaker 1: who we are, why we are, and what we can
- 21:35Speaker 1: and cannot do, we are giving up our power. And
- 21:38Speaker 1: so we have to believe in our powers to make
- 21:40Speaker 1: anything happen. We have to know that regardless of what
- 21:43Speaker 1: our current circumstances, regardless of that you know, we have
- 21:47Speaker 1: the power today. The only time that we have is
- 21:50Speaker 1: here and now. Yesterday is gone. I don't care how
- 21:53Speaker 1: much running you out. I don't care who you know,
- 21:54Speaker 1: who's in your vola days. You cannot bring yesterday back.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Tomorrow is actually running from you. Right. You know, at
- 22:02Speaker 1: the end of the day, we all could focus on tomorrow,
- 22:04Speaker 1: but when tomorrow comes, it's actually gonna be today again. Right,
- 22:08Speaker 1: it's a while focus on anything else but today but
- 22:11Speaker 1: the here and now. Um. And so once you believe
- 22:13Speaker 1: in your papers to make anything happen in the here
- 22:16Speaker 1: and now, then then there's no limits to where you
- 22:18Speaker 1: can go. And we're live here outside the Perez family home,
- 22:22Speaker 1: just waiting for the and there they go, almost on time.
- 22:26Speaker 1: This morning, Mom is coming out the front door, strong
- 22:29Speaker 1: with a double arm kid carry. Looks like Dad has
- 22:31Speaker 1: the bags. Daughter is bringing up the rear. Oh but
- 22:35Speaker 1: the diaper bag wasn't closed. Diapers and toys are everywhere.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Oh but mom has just nailed the perfect car seat
- 22:43Speaker 1: buckle for the toddler. And now the eldest daughter, who
- 22:46Speaker 1: looks to be about nine or ten, has secured herself
- 22:49Speaker 1: and the booster seat. Dad zips the bag closed and
- 22:52Speaker 1: they're off. Ah, but looks like Mom doesn't realize her
- 22:56Speaker 1: coffee cup is still on the roof of the car
- 22:58Speaker 1: and there it goes. Oh, that's a shame that mug
- 23:02Speaker 1: was a fan favorite. Don't sweat the small stuff, just
- 23:05Speaker 1: nail the big stuff, like making sure your kids are
- 23:07Speaker 1: buckled correctly in the right seat for their agent's eyes.

- 23:15Speaker 1: slash the Right Seat, brought to you by NITZA and
- 23:18Speaker 1: the AD Council. What grows in the forest trees? Sure
- 23:23Speaker 1: you know what else grows in the forest. Our imagination,
- 23:26Speaker 1: our sense of wonder, and our family bonds grow too,
- 23:30Speaker 1: because when we disconnect from this and connect with this,
- 23:36Speaker 1: we reconnect with each other. The forest is closer than
- 23:40Speaker 1: you think. Find a forest near you and start exploring.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I Discover the Forest dot org, brought to you by
- 23:46Speaker 1: the United States Forest Service and the AD Council. If
- 23:50Speaker 1: I could be you and you could be me for
- 23:52Speaker 1: just one hour, if you could find a way to
- 23:55Speaker 1: get inside each other's mind, walk a mile in my shoes,
- 24:00Speaker 1: come out in my shoes. We've all felt left out
- 24:05Speaker 1: and for some that feeling lasts more than a moment.
- 24:08Speaker 1: We can change that learn how it belonging begins with
- 24:11Speaker 1: us dot org. Brought to you by the ACT Council.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Welcome out in my shoes. It's all about the limits.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So I think that we we we tend to limit
- 24:22Speaker 1: ourselves and we learned ourselves based on races, gender, age,
- 24:27Speaker 1: and a stereotype, you know. And I think that that's
- 24:30Speaker 1: why I was important in reading this book, is that
- 24:32Speaker 1: you know, as a young African American male, you can
- 24:35Speaker 1: say you're not gonna be anything if you read the
- 24:37Speaker 1: newspaper or or people stare at you when you go
- 24:40Speaker 1: down the street, or or the opportune or the mentors,
- 24:42Speaker 1: because you have mentors that push you in the right direction.
- 24:45Speaker 1: That we talked about that like you said, you wanted
- 24:47Speaker 1: to be a kill Davidson, you know from wrecking effect.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You know, just watching him impacted you. And I always
- 24:54Speaker 1: tell people that young mind is so important because, like
- 24:56Speaker 1: you said, at the age of forty, you can vividly
- 24:59Speaker 1: remember or situations and time and dates and situations. That's
- 25:03Speaker 1: why you got shaped in But that didn't impact you.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Now if you had to tell somebody when I'm going
- 25:08Speaker 1: through the book, this is a fantastic book. Like I've
- 25:10Speaker 1: stayed up talking to ash Cash from the block to
- 25:13Speaker 1: the bank. How to make the most of your circumstances
- 25:16Speaker 1: to maximize your full potential. That's what this is all about.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Every time I met as Cash, he's always talking about maximize, maximize, maximize. Now,
- 25:23Speaker 1: a lot of people coincide that with effort, well, true enough,
- 25:27Speaker 1: you have to get up at a certain time, you
- 25:29Speaker 1: have to put out a certain amount of work in
- 25:30Speaker 1: order to accomplish that goal. When you talk about that
- 25:33Speaker 1: and take action despite of fear, that chapter I had
- 25:37Speaker 1: to bring out because of the fact that fear stops
- 25:40Speaker 1: people based on stereotype. M Absolutely, yeah, you know, a
- 25:44Speaker 1: lot a lot of people are so afraid of not
- 25:48Speaker 1: only uh, some people are feeling afraid of failing. Some
- 25:52Speaker 1: people are afraid of success. Some people are afraid of
- 25:55Speaker 1: what other people are gonna say about them. Some people
- 25:57Speaker 1: are afraid of you know. You know, it's so funny
- 25:59Speaker 1: because even and and and you know, not even pointing fingers.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I used to have survivor's remorse. I used to be
- 26:05Speaker 1: the guy who limited my success because my guys were
- 26:10Speaker 1: still on the corner, and I'm like, yow, how am
- 26:13Speaker 1: I living this this grand life? And then and they're
- 26:16Speaker 1: still trying to figure figure certain things out. So I
- 26:18Speaker 1: used to have survivor's remorse. But the truth of the matter,
- 26:21Speaker 1: um is that fear is something uh that it's it's
- 26:25Speaker 1: a warning, right. I I give this example all the time.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You know, imagine if you were driving on any interstate
- 26:31Speaker 1: in America and you start to fall asleep at the
- 26:34Speaker 1: wheel and you start to veer left. If if the
- 26:37Speaker 1: bumps in the road didn't wake you up, you would
- 26:40Speaker 1: hit the divider and you would cause you know, you know, accident,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you will flip over. But once you hit the side
- 26:47Speaker 1: of that road and the bumps happen, it's actually waking
- 26:50Speaker 1: you up and says, hey, you're veering off to the left,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you're being off to the right. Wake up, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 1: get you you know, get the steering wheel straight again. Right.
- 26:57Speaker 1: That's what fear is. A lot of times people he
- 26:59Speaker 1: had this fear and they let it stop them. But
- 27:02Speaker 1: what happens is fear is just waking you up. Fear
- 27:05Speaker 1: is just telling you that you off track. Fear is
- 27:07Speaker 1: just telling you that you're out of alignment. So get
- 27:10Speaker 1: you wake up, get back in the alignment, and stay
- 27:12Speaker 1: focused on where you're going. Um And so you know,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I think that's the biggest message in Cash Advanced Number
- 27:17Speaker 1: ten is saying that you meet you need to take
- 27:19Speaker 1: action despite your fear. Because the truth of the matter,
- 27:23Speaker 1: you will still feel your fear. But as long as
- 27:25Speaker 1: you don't a lot of that fears to stop you,
- 27:27Speaker 1: then fear is okay. It's just a warning. It's just
- 27:30Speaker 1: telling you to wake up. It's telling you that you're
- 27:32Speaker 1: focused on the wrong things. You're not focusing on what
- 27:34Speaker 1: you need to focus on. And once you wake up,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you take back that wheel. You drive faith anything, it's possible,
- 27:40Speaker 1: it's beautiful. I'm gonna skip one because I know I
- 27:42Speaker 1: don't want to take up too much time here, because
- 27:44Speaker 1: I want to talk about create your own legacy now.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That's number thirty two, because I also want to talk
- 27:49Speaker 1: about the Ashcash Show as we wrap up. But let's
- 27:52Speaker 1: talk about creating your legacy now, because legacy is a word.
- 27:55Speaker 1: You know, the thing about the word brand is over
- 27:57Speaker 1: you sometimes, legacy is overusing that time, uplift, motivation, It's
- 28:01Speaker 1: so many overused terms. That's why I recommend people by
- 28:04Speaker 1: this book because you're getting it from I would call
- 28:06Speaker 1: him a legend. He's a not you know, he's fit
- 28:08Speaker 1: out in New York, used to legend down in Atlanta,
- 28:10Speaker 1: turning up down in the South on it both sides
- 28:13Speaker 1: north and south in the in the motivation because of
- 28:15Speaker 1: the fact that he takes common terminology, or I should
- 28:19Speaker 1: say terminology is not common and make it common and relatable.
- 28:22Speaker 1: And that's what makes him so gifted and why I
- 28:25Speaker 1: enjoy talking to him. He and I walk in the
- 28:27Speaker 1: same room, we have same clothes on. He would speak
- 28:29Speaker 1: totally different from me, and I don't mind it because
- 28:32Speaker 1: sometimes I I can't reach everybody, so he allows but
- 28:36Speaker 1: he can reach people I can't reach, and he can
- 28:38Speaker 1: reach people I'm reaching, probably reaching better. That's why I
- 28:41Speaker 1: love him because I don't fear him. I don't fear
- 28:44Speaker 1: him at all. I don't fear sharing his knowledge of
- 28:46Speaker 1: sharing his style with anybody all. I want people to
- 28:50Speaker 1: know more about it. That's what I love. I would
- 28:51Speaker 1: tell more people about that has cash. So as when
- 28:54Speaker 1: we talk about create your own legacy and now what
- 28:56Speaker 1: are you talking about? Brother? In chapter you know what
- 28:58Speaker 1: one of the it gets travesties. Um, that I see
- 29:02Speaker 1: is that a bunch of gifted people, a bunch of
- 29:04Speaker 1: people who, um, you know, have have these abilities to
- 29:08Speaker 1: be great. They chase money, you know, they chase money,
- 29:11Speaker 1: and they they they care about what kind of car
- 29:15Speaker 1: they drive, They care about the house they live in. Um,
- 29:17Speaker 1: they care about you know, you know, all the material
- 29:20Speaker 1: things in the world. But the truth of the matter
- 29:22Speaker 1: is that you know, when when, when, when God calls
- 29:25Speaker 1: you back home. Um, no one's really gonna care what
- 29:27Speaker 1: kind of car you drove. Nobody's gonna care about your house. Uh.
- 29:30Speaker 1: You know Steve Jobs, you know when he when he died,
- 29:33Speaker 1: he was worth seven billion dollars. A lot of people
- 29:36Speaker 1: you know don't even don't really know that, right, and
- 29:38Speaker 1: so nobody cares. Everybody knows Steve Jobs as somebody who
- 29:42Speaker 1: you know created Apple, you know, and and it has
- 29:44Speaker 1: been a pioneer in in in in the text space. Um.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And so you know, creating your legacy now is making
- 29:51Speaker 1: sure that we don't waste, we don't waste our time
- 29:53Speaker 1: on earth. We don't waste um, you know, our time,
- 29:57Speaker 1: chasing after money, chasing after things old. In your legacy
- 30:00Speaker 1: is about you know, writing your life story right, like
- 30:04Speaker 1: if if, if, if your life were to end, Like,
- 30:07Speaker 1: what are people gonna say to you? What kind of
- 30:09Speaker 1: you know hearts have you touched? Right? Shannon Atlas says,
- 30:12Speaker 1: you know, carve your name on hearts, right, not on tombstones?
- 30:16Speaker 1: And so are people gonna remember you? Are people gonna say,
- 30:19Speaker 1: you know what your Rashan McDonald was that guy like
- 30:22Speaker 1: I remember this this time when he you know, helped
- 30:25Speaker 1: me get to this level and he introduced me here
- 30:27Speaker 1: and he was, you know, he helped me get my
- 30:29Speaker 1: first home, or you know, all the different things that
- 30:32Speaker 1: people are gonna say, like, that's what makes you a legend.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's that's what makes you legendary. Is when you are
- 30:38Speaker 1: still alive and people have these great stories, people remember
- 30:42Speaker 1: the things that you've done for um And so I
- 30:44Speaker 1: want I wanna remind people, you know, in in this
- 30:47Speaker 1: in this cash advance, to not focus on the money,
- 30:51Speaker 1: not focused on the things. And the truth of the
- 30:53Speaker 1: matter is that things are great. I love money, I
- 30:55Speaker 1: love things right, but I don't love those I don't
- 30:57Speaker 1: love money or things above. The purpose is because the
- 31:00Speaker 1: truth of the matter is that when as I'm carving
- 31:02Speaker 1: my legacy. The money in the and the things are
- 31:05Speaker 1: coming anywhere, and so why focused on you know, the
- 31:09Speaker 1: tree when you can have the whole for us? And
- 31:11Speaker 1: so you know, I want people to focus on the legacy.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Now where. Every every day Monday through Friday, eight am
- 31:16Speaker 1: the nine am Eastern Standard time, you have a YouTube
- 31:18Speaker 1: channel and it's called The Ash Cash Show. Tell everybody
- 31:21Speaker 1: about the show so we can so we can reach
- 31:24Speaker 1: you and we can see you motivating this on a
- 31:26Speaker 1: daily basis. Yeah, so the Ash Cash Show is the
- 31:29Speaker 1: most financially empowering show on the planet. Every monthy through
- 31:33Speaker 1: Friday a a m. To ninety and Eastern stand a time,
- 31:36Speaker 1: Tell a friend and tell a friend. Uh we you know,
- 31:38Speaker 1: every every morning. Um, it's really about helping people stay motivated.
- 31:42Speaker 1: It's helping people understand. You see my shirt. I want
- 31:45Speaker 1: people to understand that abundance is their birthright. Uh. You know,
- 31:49Speaker 1: abundance isn't something that you have to get, you know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it's it's just something that you have to allow. Like
- 31:54Speaker 1: if you just allow abundance to come in, the opportunities
- 31:57Speaker 1: will come and then you you definitely still have to
- 32:00Speaker 1: take action, but you have to allow the abundance to
- 32:02Speaker 1: come and so uh, you know, we fellowship every Monday
- 32:05Speaker 1: through Friday. Really just helping people, you know, elevate their
- 32:08Speaker 1: minds so they can elevate their life. And and that's
- 32:10Speaker 1: available UM on you know, on we we simulcast on
- 32:14Speaker 1: on Instagram, on YouTube, on Facebook, um on Twitter and
