- 0:02Speaker 1: Saving you money.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It is a promise that Donald Trump said he was
- 0:05Speaker 2: going to make good on when it came to government waste, fraud,
- 0:08Speaker 2: and abuse. We know what DOJE has been doing, but
- 0:10Speaker 2: we now have found out other ways that the President
- 0:13Speaker 2: is helping make Americans more money.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And this is.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Coming from the EPA administrator, Leeves Zelden. He said in
- 0:20Speaker 2: an interview that he is quote shocked by how much
- 0:24Speaker 2: money we are able to save with quote the largest
- 0:27Speaker 2: deregulatory action ever slashing quote trillions of dollars in deregulation.
- 0:34Speaker 2: The Environmental Protection Agency chief. Zelden spoke during a roundtable
- 0:40Speaker 2: with Breitbart News editor in chief about what all is
- 0:43Speaker 2: happening and the agency's efforts to slash government waste, fraud,
- 0:47Speaker 2: and abuse. The EPA administrator, a former congressman, has now
- 0:51Speaker 2: moved to cancel over twenty two billion in contracts, is
- 0:57Speaker 2: part of President Donald Trump's initiative to eliminate diversity, equity
- 1:02Speaker 2: and Inclusion policies known as DEI. He also has said
- 1:07Speaker 2: that they are canceling environmental justice grants and canceling other
- 1:13Speaker 2: government spending that is basically just straight up waste and fraud.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Zelden emphasized the degree to which the administration has been
- 1:21Speaker 2: able to make significant savings by cutting Zelden said, the
- 1:26Speaker 2: agency's annual operating budget is ten billion dollars, while they
- 1:32Speaker 2: have been able to cut twenty two billion in grants alone. Yes,
- 1:37Speaker 2: twenty two billion in grants now, the leader of the
- 1:41Speaker 2: agency said, quote, one month ago, we announced that it
- 1:44Speaker 2: amounts to the largest deregulatory action the history of the
- 1:48Speaker 2: United States of America. One agency will do more deregulation
- 1:53Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five than entire federal government wide deregulatory
- 1:58Speaker 2: efforts ever of any administration. He went on to say,
- 2:03Speaker 2: we're going to have trillions of dollars of deregulation just
- 2:08Speaker 2: in the EPA, just in twenty twenty five. We're going
- 2:12Speaker 2: to do all this while creating jobs, including in the
- 2:16Speaker 2: auto sector. We're going to make it easier to buy
- 2:19Speaker 2: a home, make it easier to be able to heat
- 2:23Speaker 2: your home. This is the mandate. This is the term mandate.
- 2:28Speaker 2: This is what people voted for last November, and we're
- 2:31Speaker 2: going to follow through to get it done. He went
- 2:34Speaker 2: on to say, So, if you're asking what is the
- 2:37Speaker 2: future of these terms like environmental justice or climate change.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We're going back to the basics, to the core mission
- 2:45Speaker 2: at EPA. It is protecting human health and the environment,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and we are going to power the great American comeback now.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Zelden announced in mid March that he would move to
- 2:56Speaker 2: clear hundreds of backlog cases to clean up, saying that
- 3:01Speaker 2: the Biden administration focused on partisan ideological pursuits rather than
- 3:06Speaker 2: the agency's core mission, saying, we're going to go back
- 3:09Speaker 2: to those basics, and the core mission at the EPA
- 3:11Speaker 2: is protecting you the environment, and we're going to make
- 3:15Speaker 2: sure that we do that. Pillar Wani said is clean
- 3:20Speaker 2: air and water for all Americans, to unleash energy dominance.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He said, it's important that we make sure that the
- 3:28Speaker 2: American people understand that the government is on their side.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Zelden also made it clear that the total goal of
- 3:35Speaker 2: his job and his department is to make it easier
- 3:39Speaker 2: for Americans to succeed in business while also giving us
- 3:42Speaker 2: protection for the basics at the core of the EPA,
- 3:47Speaker 2: not a partisan political green ideology or green religion. And
- 3:53Speaker 2: this is exactly what the American people voted for when
- 3:56Speaker 2: they said we want Donald Trump back in the White House,
- 3:59Speaker 2: and they're getting it now. Zelden also is getting in
- 4:03Speaker 2: on the other major issue today, and that is political
- 4:06Speaker 2: violence that has been mainstreamed against conservatives. You may not
- 4:10Speaker 2: remember this, but Zelden was actually a victim of political
- 4:14Speaker 2: violence when he was running for office in New York.
- 4:17Speaker 2: He spoke with Laura Ingram about exactly how bad it's
- 4:21Speaker 2: gotten in this country because of the Democrats that are
- 4:24Speaker 2: advocating for this.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And that's the angle joining me now, EPA Administrator Lee Zelden.
- 4:29Speaker 3: He's also been the target of political violence in recent years.
- 4:34Speaker 3: In twenty twenty two, during his own New York gubernatorial campaign,
- 4:38Speaker 3: a man with a sharp object climbed up on stage
- 4:41Speaker 3: while Zelden was speaking, and Lee quickly grabbed his arm
- 4:45Speaker 3: and others jumped in to subdue the man. Fortunately no
- 4:48Speaker 3: one was hurt.
- 4:49Speaker 4: It's a close.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Call, and last November, a pipe bomb threat was sent
- 4:53Speaker 3: to his home with a pro Palestinian themed message, mister administrator,
- 4:58Speaker 3: it's good to see you tonight your reaction to the
- 5:03Speaker 3: ramp up of this violence, and we should say tonight
- 5:07Speaker 3: that we're learning that Congressoman Nancy Mace was threatened by
- 5:12Speaker 3: another man arrested for threatening the president Sean Monper of Butler,
- 5:16Speaker 3: Pennsylvania allegedly said he wanted to put a bullet in
- 5:20Speaker 3: her skull. Your reaction to all this tonight.
- 5:23Speaker 4: This needs to be treated as the fringe. And there
- 5:26Speaker 4: are people who are in politics who have individuals across
- 5:31Speaker 4: the country who follow them, and these people in office
- 5:35Speaker 4: have been following those people instead of leading them. This
- 5:39Speaker 4: comes from the fringe. It needs to be treated from
- 5:42Speaker 4: the fringe, and it needs to be treated with your tolerance.
- 5:46Speaker 4: There's a lot of clickbait. You played the clip by
- 5:49Speaker 4: Taylor Lorenz and maybe she gets more following. People who
- 5:53Speaker 4: might be followers of this assassin might now start following
- 5:58Speaker 4: Taylor Lorenz. Feeds into it and it normalizes it. And
- 6:03Speaker 4: we shouldn't be trying to make assassinations great again in
- 6:06Speaker 4: this country. It should be something that's identified as a
- 6:09Speaker 4: ten crazy on the matrix. And whether it's coming from
- 6:12Speaker 4: the right or the left, if you're a leader in government,
- 6:15Speaker 4: if you're a leader at all, you should be leading
- 6:18Speaker 4: those people who follow you as opposed to being led
- 6:20Speaker 4: by them. And the last thing I would say on
- 6:22Speaker 4: this is there's an attempt right now to try to
- 6:26Speaker 4: figure out how to oppose President Trump and the right.
- 6:29Speaker 4: The people who are out of power right now, and
- 6:31Speaker 4: they're flailing. They can't figure out the right names to call,
- 6:34Speaker 4: the right tactics to use, and they're getting more and
- 6:37Speaker 4: more extreme. There's not a more important moment than right
- 6:41Speaker 4: now for these Democrats who are out of power to
- 6:44Speaker 4: be sending that message that this is from the fringe,
- 6:47Speaker 4: zero tolerance. It won't be normalized. And if you are
- 6:50Speaker 4: following me, that leader, you make it very clear that
- 6:54Speaker 4: this is not welcome in this society in this moment.
- 6:57Speaker 4: They need to find a tactic where we are debating
- 7:00Speaker 4: instead of promoting political violence.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Well, you listen to Zelden there, and he's absolutely right.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He said, we shouldn't be trying to make assassinations great
- 7:11Speaker 2: again in this country. This is fringe behavior and it
- 7:14Speaker 2: needs to be treated with zero tolerance. You look it
- 7:17Speaker 2: out radical the left has become. They're now actually getting
- 7:21Speaker 2: together to go and stand up for illegal immigrants that
- 7:24Speaker 2: are members of terrorist organizations. I wish I was joking,
- 7:28Speaker 2: Unfortunately I'm not. And when you hear the President of
- 7:31Speaker 2: the United States of America talking about how important it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Is for us to go back to the basics.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That is also something that Leads Elden is advocating for.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Here he is talking and saying it with a clear
- 7:43Speaker 2: voice as an individual that has been a victim of
- 7:47Speaker 2: political violence, and he's saying, where are the Democrats now?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Why are they not standing up? Why are they not
- 7:55Speaker 2: telling their followers that this is wrong? And I'm going
- 7:58Speaker 2: to answer the question because they don't believe that they're
- 8:01Speaker 2: crossing any line. These are the same democrats that called
- 8:07Speaker 2: Donald Trump Adolf Hitler. These are the same democrats that
- 8:12Speaker 2: advocate for Jewish students to be attacked on college campuses.
- 8:17Speaker 2: These are the same democrats that backed the cities that
- 8:22Speaker 2: were under the summer of rage with Black Lives Matter.
- 8:26Speaker 2: These are the same democrats that when you were burning
- 8:28Speaker 2: down police stations and killing innocent people, they were advocating
- 8:32Speaker 2: for those that were arrested to bail them out. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: we're telling you please give more. That is the Democratic
- 8:41Speaker 2: Party today And what Leaves Elden is saying there, and
- 8:45Speaker 2: it's unfortunate, but the media has mainstream this. The political
- 8:50Speaker 2: violence is normal. The political violence is something that we
- 8:53Speaker 2: should all be just standing here and saying, yeah, we
- 8:56Speaker 2: have no problem with you know, not getting your way
- 8:59Speaker 2: and deciding that we're going to do these types of
- 9:02Speaker 2: political violence and anarchy. It's wrong and it's going to
- 9:07Speaker 2: cost people their lives because Democrats refuse to stop and
- 9:12Speaker 2: act like statesmen, and instead what they're doing is they're
- 9:15Speaker 2: advocating for the craziest among us to act out.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So this is not a joke.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Democrats right now are going all in and quote intensifying
- 9:28Speaker 2: their efforts to secure the release of Kilmar Albrego Garcia.
- 9:34Speaker 2: He is that man from Maryland who was deported to
- 9:38Speaker 2: Al Salvador and currently being detained in the country's high
- 9:42Speaker 2: security terrorism confinement center. Senator Chris Evan Holland as leading
- 9:48Speaker 2: the way with Democrats who think somehow this is going
- 9:52Speaker 2: to be a winning issue with the American people. He
- 9:55Speaker 2: has announced plans to travel to El Salvador for what
- 9:59Speaker 2: is It's nothing but a photo op because we just
- 10:02Speaker 2: heard from the president of El Salvador and he's like,
- 10:04Speaker 2: we're not releasing him, and why is he going to
- 10:07Speaker 2: quote advocate for the man's release, stating is intent to
- 10:12Speaker 2: meet with the Salvadorian officials and visit the attention facility
- 10:15Speaker 2: to quote check on Garcia. As well being Now. I
- 10:19Speaker 2: am glad to know that they know where he is
- 10:22Speaker 2: because in another photo op, his wife said, we don't
- 10:27Speaker 2: know where he is, hours after the senator said we're
- 10:31Speaker 2: going to see him in the prison. Take a listen
- 10:35Speaker 2: to the propaganda from MSNBC is they have also decided
- 10:40Speaker 2: to go all in to back the.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Illegal immigrant over the American people.
- 10:47Speaker 3: The wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia just spoke outside of
- 10:50Speaker 3: a courthouse in Maryland ahead of a hearing about his
- 10:53Speaker 3: wrongful deportation, his mistaken deportation to El.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Salvador today, twenty four days of after his disappearance, and
- 11:04Speaker 5: I stand before you filled with spirit that refuses to
- 11:08Speaker 5: bring down. I will not stop fighting until I see
- 11:13Speaker 5: my husband alive. Kill maar if you can hear me,
- 11:17Speaker 5: Stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are
- 11:22Speaker 5: asking when would you come home, and I pray for
- 11:27Speaker 5: the day I tell them the time and date that
- 11:29Speaker 5: you'll return. As we continue through Holy Week, my heart
- 11:34Speaker 5: aches for my husband, who should have been here leading
- 11:38Speaker 5: our Easter prayers. Instead, I find myself leading with the
- 11:44Speaker 5: Trump administration and the Buquet administration to stop playing political
- 11:50Speaker 5: games with the life of killmar.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Now, this is clearly propaganda. You heard the wife there
- 11:58Speaker 2: say today is thirty four days of after his disappearance.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Well, you know where he is.
- 12:04Speaker 2: He hasn't actually been disappeared, because he was arrested, and
- 12:09Speaker 2: you know where he has been sent and they're center
- 12:11Speaker 2: saying they're going to check on him. Now, if you
- 12:14Speaker 2: think that Democrats are going to give up on this,
- 12:17Speaker 2: you are wrong. Even the Trump borders are talking about
- 12:22Speaker 2: how all of this went down and how El Salvador
- 12:25Speaker 2: he's saying, look, they can give him back if they
- 12:28Speaker 2: want to. It's pretty clear that the l Salvador president
- 12:31Speaker 2: said we're not sending him back because why he's our citizen.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Tom, how do you respond to these democratic lawmakers, including
- 12:39Speaker 6: Van Holland, who say they're going to now ask for
- 12:42Speaker 6: a meeting with the president there in El Salvador. They're
- 12:45Speaker 6: going to travel there and demand his release.
- 12:48Speaker 7: Well, good luck with that, Carol. Evan's exactly right. Every
- 12:51Speaker 7: time I read a story about this, it's Maryland father,
- 12:54Speaker 7: Maryland father. They don't mention he's a member of MS thirteen,
- 12:57Speaker 7: doesn't a terrorists one most violent gangs in the world.
- 13:01Speaker 7: They don't mention he's MS thirteen member. They don't mention
- 13:04Speaker 7: he's an Al Salvadoran citizen being held by the country
- 13:07Speaker 7: of Al Salvador. Al Salvador makes that decision. Now, the
- 13:10Speaker 7: court said we gotta facilitate, will facilitate, but L Salvador
- 13:15Speaker 7: has full authority on this again, a terrorist trat. Now, Now,
- 13:20Speaker 7: if somehow he comes back and that happens, he's going
- 13:23Speaker 7: to be detained and removed again. He's an MS thirteen
- 13:26Speaker 7: gang member. Based on our intelligence and Al Salvador's intelligence,
- 13:29Speaker 7: he will be detained and he will be deported. And
- 13:31Speaker 7: what's the sense of bringing someone back to simply go
- 13:34Speaker 7: and face deportation again. He's a public safety tread, he's
- 13:37Speaker 7: a gang member, he's a designated terrorist. We should not
- 13:40Speaker 7: be bringing any of those people back to the United States.
- 13:42Speaker 7: That's my opinion.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Isn't it amazing that the wife doesn't tell you that
- 13:47Speaker 2: her husband is a member of the MS thirteen gang,
- 13:49Speaker 2: which is also a terrorist organization. Isn't an amazing that
- 13:53Speaker 2: MSNBC also refuses to tell you why he was actually
- 13:58Speaker 2: deported from this country. Senator Kennedy, however, was on MSNBC
- 14:03Speaker 2: just kidding. No, he wasn't he was on Fox News Channel,
- 14:06Speaker 2: where the same people are.
- 14:08Speaker 1: He was asked about this entire issue. Take a listen.
- 14:12Speaker 8: I think the President's right. If you're in our country illegally,
- 14:20Speaker 8: you're a criminal. Illegal immigration is illegal.
- 14:24Speaker 9: Duh.
- 14:25Speaker 8: And I think they're a plenty of laws which President
- 14:29Speaker 8: Biden ignored that allow us to deport you. I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 8: to me, it's just straightforward, and people who oppose that approach,
- 14:38Speaker 8: it seems to me, are not being intellectually honest. They
- 14:42Speaker 8: just ought to go ahead and admit they support open borders.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Senator Kennedy is absolutely right, He said the same way
- 14:50Speaker 2: I would have. The President is right, and if you're
- 14:53Speaker 2: in this country illegally, you're a criminal, Illegal immigration is illegal.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Duh.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And I think there's a plenty of laws which President
- 15:01Speaker 2: Biden ignored that allowed us to deport you. That is
- 15:05Speaker 2: exactly why we are seeing law and order now. And
- 15:08Speaker 2: we're also seeing the Democrats choosing sides. They are not
- 15:12Speaker 2: in favor of keeping you safe. They are not in
- 15:15Speaker 2: favor of going after MS thirteen gang members. They're not
- 15:19Speaker 2: in favor of deporting people that are a danger to
- 15:22Speaker 2: your family. And that's why President Trump is doing it now.
- 15:26Speaker 2: As for these Democrats, they're going all in to protect
- 15:30Speaker 2: the people that aren't even citizens of this country that
- 15:33Speaker 2: broke in. So let that sit in and decide which
- 15:36Speaker 2: side of the aisle you're gonna sit on on this issue.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile real quick.
- 15:41Speaker 2: If you've got a cell phone and your cell phone
- 15:44Speaker 2: is not with Patriot Mobile, then the question I gotta
- 15:47Speaker 2: ask you is why why have you not made the switch? Well,
- 15:51Speaker 2: you should make the switch, and the deal is really easy.
- 15:55Speaker 2: You get cutting edge technology. Switching has never been easier.
- 15:59Speaker 2: There's no store of visits, no hassles. You get to
- 16:02Speaker 2: keep your same phone number you have right now. You
- 16:04Speaker 2: get to keep your same phone you've got now or
- 16:06Speaker 2: upgrade to a new one. And they have a one
- 16:08Speaker 2: hundred percent US based team that can activate you literally
- 16:11Speaker 2: in minutes. The other thing that I love about Patriot
- 16:14Speaker 2: Mobile is this they have access to all three major networks,
- 16:18Speaker 2: meaning you get exceptional nationwide coverage.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I use Patriot Mobile and half for years.
- 16:24Speaker 2: They can even put a second number on a different
- 16:27Speaker 2: network on your phone.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's like carrying two phones in one. You can have
- 16:32Speaker 1: a work number and a personal number. It's amazing.
- 16:36Speaker 2: They have unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet
- 16:41Speaker 2: on the go devices, and home internet backup as well.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You can get all of this from Patriot Mobile, So
- 16:48Speaker 2: why are you waiting?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Make the switch today.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And by the way, when you pay your bill, you
- 16:54Speaker 2: know that about five percent of that bill every month
- 16:56Speaker 2: is going back to support conservative causes. Causes stand for
- 17:00Speaker 2: our First or Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children,
- 17:04Speaker 2: and they stand with our veterans, our first responders, our
- 17:07Speaker 2: police and firemen or EMTs, and are wounded warriors. So
- 17:11Speaker 2: make a difference with every call you make. So right now,
- 17:14Speaker 2: go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or call them
- 17:20Speaker 2: nine seven to two Patriot. You're gonna get a free
- 17:23Speaker 2: month of service with the promo code ferguson. So switch
- 17:26Speaker 2: to Patriot Mobile and make a difference with every call
- 17:28Speaker 2: you make. Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine
- 17:32Speaker 2: seven to two Patriot.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Now, let me also just.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Give you a little bit more background, just so you
- 17:37Speaker 2: know about Garcia. He apparently has lived in the US
- 17:40Speaker 2: since two thousand and five, when he came into this
- 17:43Speaker 2: country illegally. He was also at some point granted protection
- 17:47Speaker 2: from deportation back in twenty nineteen due to quote threats
- 17:52Speaker 2: from gangs in El Salvador. He was then deported in
- 17:56Speaker 2: March of twenty twenty five, despite lack of any criminal record.
- 18:01Speaker 2: His family says, well, that's not true. He broke into America.
- 18:06Speaker 2: He was here illegally. He was then sent with other
- 18:10Speaker 2: deportees alleged to have gang affiliations to El Salvador. The
- 18:14Speaker 2: Trump administration is defending the deportation, citing the Alien Enemies
- 18:20Speaker 2: Act of seventeen ninety eight and asserting that Garcia's ties
- 18:24Speaker 2: to MS thirteen, a terrorist organization, are more than enough
- 18:27Speaker 2: with him also breaking this country to send him to
- 18:30Speaker 2: El Salvador. El Salvador's president has also said the exact
- 18:34Speaker 2: same thing. I'm not releasing Garcia. He says, this isn't
- 18:37Speaker 2: gonna happen. He says, this is a person who is
- 18:40Speaker 2: actually as citizen of his country, and so why would
- 18:43Speaker 2: he then send him back to America.
- 18:45Speaker 8: Now.
- 18:46Speaker 2: The situation has obviously sparked a lot of fake outrage
- 18:50Speaker 2: from the liberal media and the left about human rights
- 18:53Speaker 2: concerns and the treatment of quote deportees. Human rights organizations
- 18:58Speaker 2: have reporter that detainees in a Salvador prisons, including the
- 19:02Speaker 2: prison where he is being held, face harsher conditions than
- 19:07Speaker 2: in America. Well, let's be clear, if you don't want
- 19:10Speaker 2: to go to El Salvador's prison, maybe you shouldn't break
- 19:13Speaker 2: into the United States of America. Now, as for the Democrats,
- 19:17Speaker 2: they're trying to do anything they can to stand up
- 19:20Speaker 2: to Trump and Democratic leaders now including Representative Maxwell Frost,
- 19:24Speaker 2: a Democrat from Florida, another one from Arizona, they're now
- 19:28Speaker 2: expressing support for Van Hollins's initiative and are considering joining
- 19:33Speaker 2: the delegation the Democrats are putting together to El Salvador.
- 19:38Speaker 2: They say it's important that they quote stand up for
- 19:41Speaker 2: the rule of law. To be clear, all the people
- 19:43Speaker 2: they're standing up for broke American laws by breaking into America.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And they also said that we must ensure the safety
- 19:51Speaker 2: and the rights of individuals like Garcia. Well, to be clear,
- 19:55Speaker 2: it should be their actual country of origin that should
- 19:58Speaker 2: be looking into that, the United States of America, and
- 20:02Speaker 2: if other countries are concerned about their citizens being in
- 20:05Speaker 2: that prison, that is their job. But clearly the people
- 20:09Speaker 2: they're going to check on they're not Americans. Which brings
- 20:13Speaker 2: us to the bigger question, why are they spending all
- 20:17Speaker 2: of this time and money defending people who are not
- 20:21Speaker 2: actually United States of America citizens. Why are they going
- 20:25Speaker 2: down They're doing more than even their own host countries
- 20:29Speaker 2: are doing for these individuals. Well, I can answer that question, unfortunately,
- 20:34Speaker 2: and the answer is actually very simple. The answer is
- 20:38Speaker 2: the Democratic Party is willing to go all in to
- 20:41Speaker 2: protect and defend I legal immigrants, including those that are
- 20:44Speaker 2: in terrorist organizations, as long as it means one day
- 20:48Speaker 2: they become American citizens and they vote for Democrats. This
- 20:53Speaker 2: is no different than what we talked about months ago.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's the great replacement theory. If you want to get
- 21:00Speaker 2: get rid of conservatives and Americans, then what do you do.
- 21:04Speaker 2: You import new voters, give them citizenship, and they'll vote
- 21:07Speaker 2: for you forever. And that's how you fundamentally change the
- 21:11Speaker 2: United States of America. I don't expect this fight, by
- 21:14Speaker 2: the way, to end anytime soon, and it's going to
- 21:17Speaker 2: be shocking to see how many more Democrats come out
- 21:20Speaker 2: and put illegal immigrants that are in gangs and terrorist
- 21:24Speaker 2: organizations ahead of you and I Americans. In a major move,
- 21:30Speaker 2: the Trump administration has just frozen two point two billion
- 21:34Speaker 2: in grants to Harvard University after the elite university announced
- 21:39Speaker 2: it would not comply with demands for reform to stop
- 21:43Speaker 2: anti semitism and other forms of discrimination.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Harvard University revealed.
- 21:49Speaker 2: That it will not comply with the Trump administration's quote
- 21:52Speaker 2: list of demands for the university to make changes to
- 21:56Speaker 2: its policies regarding hiring, governance, students, admission, and anti semitism.
- 22:03Speaker 2: In a letter issued on Monday, lawyers for the university
- 22:06Speaker 2: criticize an earlier letter from the Trump administration as quote,
- 22:11Speaker 2: disregarding Harvard's efforts to make changes to its campus use
- 22:16Speaker 2: policies to address and combat hate and bias on campus,
- 22:20Speaker 2: and enhance campus safety and security measures, among other efforts.
- 22:25Speaker 2: The university added that the demands from the administration invade
- 22:30Speaker 2: university freedom long recognized by the Supreme Court. Now, the
- 22:35Speaker 2: requests from the Trump administration were actually very simple. They
- 22:40Speaker 2: asked for Harvard to quote, adopt and implement merit based
- 22:43Speaker 2: hiring policies and cease all performances based on race, color, religion, sex,
- 22:51Speaker 2: or national origin throughout its hiring, promotion, compensation the related
- 22:58Speaker 2: practices among faculty staff in leadership by August twenty twenty five. Quote,
- 23:03Speaker 2: the university must reform its recruitment, its screening, and admissions
- 23:08Speaker 2: of international students to prevent admitting students hostile to the
- 23:12Speaker 2: American values and institutions inscribed in the US Constitution and
- 23:16Speaker 2: Declaration of Independence. Including students supportive of terrorism or anti
- 23:22Speaker 2: Semitism is one of the other things that was written
- 23:25Speaker 2: by the administration. Nine response the Trump administration to Harvard
- 23:30Speaker 2: saying we're not playing ball well, they now suspended some
- 23:34Speaker 2: two point two billion of the nearly nine billion in
- 23:38Speaker 2: federal grants that are at risk. The Harvard Crimson, the
- 23:42Speaker 2: university student run newspaper, reported this way, saying, quote the
- 23:46Speaker 2: Trump administration paused two point two billion and multi year
- 23:49Speaker 2: grants and sixty million and multi year contracts to Harvard
- 23:53Speaker 2: over its decision earlier today to reject the White House's
- 23:56Speaker 2: demand a dramatic escalation in its crusade and the university. Now,
- 24:01Speaker 2: if you want to know what the White House says
- 24:03Speaker 2: about this, take a listen to Caroline Levitt speaking the
- 24:07Speaker 2: media on this issue.
- 24:08Speaker 9: When it comes to Harvard, the President's position on this
- 24:11Speaker 9: is grounded in common sense, in the basic principle that
- 24:15Speaker 9: Jewish American students or students of any faith should not
- 24:19Speaker 9: be illegally harassed and targeted on our nation's college campuses,
- 24:23Speaker 9: and we unfortunately saw that illegal discrimination take place on
- 24:27Speaker 9: the campus of Harvard. There are countless examples to prove it,
- 24:31Speaker 9: particularly with the stunning confession by then Harvard president Claudine
- 24:37Speaker 9: Gay who said that bullying and harassment depended on the context.
- 24:42Speaker 9: The President at that time made it clear to the
- 24:44Speaker 9: American public he was not going to tolerate illegal harassment
- 24:47Speaker 9: and anti Semitism taking place in violations of federal law.
- 24:51Speaker 9: So the President made it clear to Harvard follow federal law,
- 24:54Speaker 9: no longer break Title six, which was passed by Congress
- 24:57Speaker 9: to ensure no student can be discriminated against on the
- 25:00Speaker 9: basis of race, and you will receive federal funding. Unfortunately,
- 25:04Speaker 9: Harvard has not taken the President or the administration's demands seriously.
- 25:10Speaker 9: All the President is asking, don't break federal law and
- 25:12Speaker 9: then you can have your federal funding. I think the
- 25:14Speaker 9: President is also begging a good question. More than two
- 25:18Speaker 9: billion dollars out the door to Harvard, when they have
- 25:20Speaker 9: a more than fifty billion dollar endowment, Why are the
- 25:22Speaker 9: American taxpayers subsidizing in university that has billions of dollars
- 25:27Speaker 9: in the bank already, and we certainly should not be
- 25:29Speaker 9: funding a place where such grave anti semitism exists.
- 25:34Speaker 2: At the end of the day, it is very clear
- 25:36Speaker 2: that Trump administration is saying, we're going to save you money,
- 25:39Speaker 2: and we're also going to make sure that places like
- 25:41Speaker 2: Harvard have to follow the federal law, and if they don't,
- 25:45Speaker 2: there's going to be consequences.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Now.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I also sat down with sitter Ted Cruz, who's been
- 25:50Speaker 2: a big advocate for making sure that these universities.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Are not given our tax dollars if.
- 25:56Speaker 2: They are advocating supporting these radicals on college campuses. Here
- 26:00Speaker 2: is what Senator Cruz had to say on his podcast that.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I co host. Take a listen.
- 26:05Speaker 2: So when you look at this fight, I do think
- 26:08Speaker 2: one of the very interesting parts of all of this
- 26:11Speaker 2: that we're talking about is now Americans are really waking
- 26:13Speaker 2: up and realizing like where their money has been going,
- 26:16Speaker 2: how much of it is going. And you're right, there's
- 26:18Speaker 2: some of this as research, and that's the thing we
- 26:20Speaker 2: can be proud of, and that's a good thing. But
- 26:22Speaker 2: a lot of this is going to indoctrinating kids with
- 26:25Speaker 2: radical leftist ideals. And that's part of the reason why
- 26:29Speaker 2: I think they need this money, right They want the
- 26:31Speaker 2: money for that reason. They've been doing a great job
- 26:33Speaker 2: of doing that for the last several decades. So if
- 26:36Speaker 2: the money does dry up at places like Harvard and
- 26:40Speaker 2: then we start to see more questions being asked about
- 26:43Speaker 2: other money, not only could this change universities in a
- 26:46Speaker 2: positive way, I think, for free speech and not having
- 26:49Speaker 2: one set of views that are indoctrinated, but it could
- 26:52Speaker 2: also save the taxpayers a hell of a lot of money,
- 26:54Speaker 2: because it's not just Harvard that's getting cash.
- 26:57Speaker 10: Oh yeah, but Harvard is the perfect test subjet. And
- 27:00Speaker 10: our universities right now have become in doctrination labs. They've
- 27:05Speaker 10: become places that enforce rigid orthodoxy. And if you say
- 27:09Speaker 10: something that is contrary to the radical leftist view, you
- 27:13Speaker 10: risk being disciplined, you risk being having your grades, and
- 27:17Speaker 10: you also risk just not being admitted. And look, some
- 27:20Speaker 10: of the question comes down to a very simple what
- 27:24Speaker 10: is it that the administration was requesting? Because if the
- 27:28Speaker 10: administration was demanding, Harvard must teach in every class that
- 27:32Speaker 10: Donald Trump is the greatest president who have ever lived.
- 27:35Speaker 10: I would agree with Harvard that no university could give
- 27:38Speaker 10: in to a government demand about a specific position like that,
- 27:43Speaker 10: particularly if it's one they disagree with. But that's not
- 27:46Speaker 10: what the Trump administration said. And I have in front
- 27:48Speaker 10: of me the letter that the Trump administration said. It's
- 27:52Speaker 10: five pages. I'm not going to read it all, but
- 27:54Speaker 10: I'm going to read some of the portions of it.
- 27:57Speaker 10: So it is addressed both to Alan Garber, who is
- 28:01Speaker 10: the president of Harvard University, and A Penny Prisker, who
- 28:04Speaker 10: is the lead member of the Harvard Corporation. Penny Pritzker,
- 28:06Speaker 10: by the way, was a cabinet member under Barack Obama.
- 28:09Speaker 10: And the Harvard Corporation runs all of Harvard, and it's
- 28:11Speaker 10: this privately held corporation of all Democrats that run Harvard
- 28:17Speaker 10: as this left wing bastion. Here's how the letter begins,
- 28:20Speaker 10: Dear doctor Garber, the United States has invested in Harvard
- 28:24Speaker 10: University's operation because of the value to the country of
- 28:26Speaker 10: scholarly discovery and academic excellence. But an investment is not
- 28:31Speaker 10: an entitlement. It depends on Harvard upholding federal civil rights law,
- 28:35Speaker 10: and it only makes sense if Harvard fosters the kind
- 28:38Speaker 10: of environment that produces intellectual creativity and scholarly rigor, both
- 28:42Speaker 10: of which are antithetical to ideological capture. Harvard has in
- 28:47Speaker 10: recent years failed to live up to both the intellectual
- 28:50Speaker 10: and civil rights conditions that justify federal investment, but we
- 28:54Speaker 10: appreciate your expression of commitment to repairing those failures and
- 28:57Speaker 10: welcome your collaboration in restoring the university to its promise.
- 29:01Speaker 10: We therefore present the below provisions as the basis for
- 29:04Speaker 10: an agreement in principle that will maintain Harvard's financial relationship
- 29:08Speaker 10: with the federal government. Here's the first governance and leadership reforms.
- 29:14Speaker 10: By August twenty twenty five, Harvard must make meaningful governance
- 29:18Speaker 10: reform and restructuring to make possible major change consistent with
- 29:22Speaker 10: this letter, including fostering clear lines of authority and accountability.
- 29:27Speaker 10: Apparently that was objectionable, empowering tenured professors and senior leadership,
- 29:32Speaker 10: and from among the tenured professorate and senior leadership exclusively
- 29:37Speaker 10: those most devoted to the scholarly mission of the university
- 29:40Speaker 10: and committed to the changes indicated in this letter. Reducing
- 29:44Speaker 10: the power held by students and untenured faculty, reducing the
- 29:48Speaker 10: power held by faculty, whether tenured or untenured, at administrators
- 29:52Speaker 10: more committed to activism than scholarship. Now, again, this is
- 29:57Speaker 10: something Harvard found unacceptable. We're willing to focus on scholarship
- 30:01Speaker 10: instead of activism. Note that's a violation of what we
- 30:04Speaker 10: want to do. And reducing forms of governance bloat, duplication,
- 30:09Speaker 10: or decentralization that interfere with the possibility of reforms indicating
- 30:13Speaker 10: this letter. So that's the first one. Apparently something was
- 30:16Speaker 10: objectionable about that. What's the next one? Merit based hiring reform.
- 30:21Speaker 10: By August twenty twenty five, the university must adopt and
- 30:24Speaker 10: implement merit based hiring policies and ceased all preferences based
- 30:28Speaker 10: on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin throughout its hiring, promotion, compensation,
- 30:34Speaker 10: and related practices among faculty, staff, and leadership. Now, mind you,
- 30:38Speaker 10: that is existing federal civil rights law. You cannot discriminate
- 30:42Speaker 10: against based on race, and yet for Harvard that is
- 30:47Speaker 10: it is outrageous. Of course they want to discriminate based
- 30:51Speaker 10: on race. It's an ideological commitment. What's the next one,
- 30:54Speaker 10: Merit based admissions reform. By August twenty twenty five, the
- 30:57Speaker 10: university must adopt and implement merit based admission policies and
- 31:01Speaker 10: ceased all preferences based on race, color, national origin, or
- 31:04Speaker 10: proxies thereof, throughout its undergraduate program, each graduate program, individual,
- 31:08Speaker 10: each of its professional schools, and other programs. Again, the
- 31:13Speaker 10: idea of actually admitting students based on merit rather than
- 31:16Speaker 10: discriminating based on race, which minds you, discriminating based on
- 31:19Speaker 10: race as illegal under federal civil rights law, to Harvard,
- 31:23Speaker 10: is anathema. What's the next one? International admissions reform. By
- 31:29Speaker 10: August twenty twenty five, the university must reform its recruitment, screening,
- 31:32Speaker 10: and admission of international students to prevent admitting students hostile
- 31:38Speaker 10: to the American values and institutions inscribed in the US
- 31:43Speaker 10: Constitution and Declaration of Independence, including students supportive of terrorism
- 31:50Speaker 10: or anti Semitism. Again, apparently, that is outrageous and unacceptable.
- 31:56Speaker 10: The next one viewpoint diversity and admission and hiring. By
- 32:00Speaker 10: August twenty twenty five, the university shall commission an external
- 32:04Speaker 10: party which will satisfy the federal government as to its
- 32:07Speaker 10: competence and good faith to audit the student body, faculty, staff,
- 32:10Speaker 10: and leadership for viewpoint diversity, such that each department, field,
- 32:16Speaker 10: or teaching unit must be individually viewpoint diverse. Now, notably,
- 32:19Speaker 10: they're not saying higher conservatives, They're not saying higher Trump supporters.
- 32:24Speaker 10: They're saying, you cannot have a faculty that is universally
- 32:30Speaker 10: orthodox and indoctrinating that all have the same view that
- 32:34Speaker 10: the left loves to prattle on about diversity as our strength.
- 32:38Speaker 10: And by diversity they mean we must all be leftist
- 32:40Speaker 10: to believe the same thing, but saith though with different
- 32:44Speaker 10: skin colors. Now, I actually think diversity means having different ideas,
- 32:48Speaker 10: confronting ideas you disagree with. Look I go through these
- 32:53Speaker 10: to give an example. I think each of those demands
- 32:56Speaker 10: are very reasonable. They're saying, comply with federal law being
- 32:59Speaker 10: in institution that actually does what you say, what you
- 33:02Speaker 10: claim to be doing, and yet Harvard is outraged. How
- 33:07Speaker 10: dare you hold us to the terms of federal law.
- 33:12Speaker 10: We cannot comply with that.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Do me a favor.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Make sure you share this podcast with your family, your friends,
- 33:18Speaker 2: put it up on social media wherever you are on
- 33:20Speaker 2: social media, and I will see you back here tomorrow.
