- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join Jo. You got that turn you're going
- 1:10Speaker 1: to do. You gotta turn to turn them out. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water got me. Come come on your tha Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shure will good running everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. Real glad about it too,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know. Um um. I hope that God always keeps
- 2:19Speaker 1: me in the frame of frame of mind to try
- 2:22Speaker 1: to be sharing and try to be motivational, and even
- 2:27Speaker 1: when it's not felt or wanted by some people. I
- 2:32Speaker 1: have people around me who seem to not benefited off anything,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and I can sit with them and talk to them
- 2:40Speaker 1: or take meetings with them to try to encourage them,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and for whatever reason, you know, they want to just
- 2:45Speaker 1: keep going the way they're going. When you run into
- 2:48Speaker 1: people like that, you have to pray for them. You
- 2:50Speaker 1: have to just hope that one day that they release
- 2:53Speaker 1: the chains on their mind and open up your mind
- 2:56Speaker 1: to a new way of thinking. A couple of things
- 2:58Speaker 1: I wanted to go over with that I want you
- 3:00Speaker 1: to all today in terms of motivation, I want you
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be aware of statements or old sayings that have
- 3:10Speaker 1: been created that you hear over the course of time,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and you may be applying them to your life. And
- 3:17Speaker 1: I want you to be careful of some of them
- 3:20Speaker 1: because some of these old sayings, man, are not designed
- 3:25Speaker 1: for people who are dreamers, are not designed for people
- 3:30Speaker 1: who have any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not
- 3:35Speaker 1: designs or sayings that people who want to be extremely
- 3:40Speaker 1: successful at anything or have high aspirations to put these
- 3:45Speaker 1: sayings into your life. Let me give you an example.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Statistics say that's it. That's the one who want you
- 3:55Speaker 1: to be careful about statistics, say, be very careful of stats.
- 4:04Speaker 1: When a person says, you know statistics, say one out
- 4:07Speaker 1: of every what see, listen to me. These are things
- 4:12Speaker 1: that sound like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're
- 4:16Speaker 1: setting you up for failure. And you can't adhere yourself
- 4:21Speaker 1: to a lot of these sayings that's been passed down
- 4:24Speaker 1: from generations, and it's not scripture, it ain't in the
- 4:29Speaker 1: scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people and
- 4:34Speaker 1: a lot of people who have lost have come up
- 4:37Speaker 1: with these sayings to justify why they keep losing or
- 4:42Speaker 1: why they lost. When I was arst got started in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the business, there were more stand ups around now than
- 4:50Speaker 1: it is today because the comedy boom in eighty four
- 4:54Speaker 1: eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentums,
- 4:59Speaker 1: comedy club, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:03Speaker 1: told me I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:14Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:27Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: oh that's rough. Because a guy had also said that
- 5:35Speaker 1: there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country at
- 5:40Speaker 1: that time. I don't know if it was true. I'm
- 5:42Speaker 1: just telling you guy was out the sputing numbers. I
- 5:44Speaker 1: have no idea how many it was, but he said
- 5:48Speaker 1: one in every two thousand will make it to the
- 5:50Speaker 1: Tonight Show. And he let the air out of everybody
- 5:53Speaker 1: in the room. Button be so every night before I
- 5:57Speaker 1: went on stage. I used to do this right here
- 6:00Speaker 1: that Papa Da Bada La la La da bada Pampaa
- 6:06Speaker 1: baa la la la da. That was the tonight theme song.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I was young opening act know where near Hollywood, didn't.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I was in Cleveland telling jokes at one night us.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But that was my thing because I was bent and
- 6:20Speaker 1: determined that if it's one in two thousand, okay, why
- 6:23Speaker 1: don't I just be the one? Be careful when people
- 6:27Speaker 1: say statistics say because they are set up to ful failure.
- 6:31Speaker 1: If you're gonna adhere to him, see that one in
- 6:34Speaker 1: so many it one don't so many people win the lottery.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:38Speaker 1: be the one to hit. Now when the dude hit
- 6:39Speaker 1: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:43Speaker 1: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be. All right,
- 6:48Speaker 1: let's go one step further. I guess it wasn't the
- 6:51Speaker 1: Lord's will. Don't you dare blame God for something you
- 6:57Speaker 1: may have not done yourself because you didn't get the
- 7:01Speaker 1: proper education, because you didn't do the things you were
- 7:04Speaker 1: supposed to do, because you didn't stay to the task,
- 7:08Speaker 1: because you quit turned around and went the other way. Now,
- 7:11Speaker 1: maybe it's not. It wasn't the lord's will. These are
- 7:15Speaker 1: all statements that sound like sound advice, but they ain't
- 7:21Speaker 1: all the time, got nothing to do with you. Stop
- 7:24Speaker 1: letting these old fogy sayings get in your way of
- 7:28Speaker 1: what can happen in your life. Don't put all your
- 7:33Speaker 1: eggs in one basket? Wow? Who came up with this?
- 7:39Speaker 1: Who came up with the If you don't pour all
- 7:42Speaker 1: your efforts into one thing, how are you gonna be
- 7:45Speaker 1: great at that one thing? If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordans,
- 7:50Speaker 1: Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had not played basketball sun up
- 7:54Speaker 1: to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't go to Michigan to get
- 7:59Speaker 1: an education. Land Burry didn't go to Indiana to get
- 8:03Speaker 1: an education. These casts was bawling. Michael Jordan didn't go
- 8:07Speaker 1: to North Carolina get an education. They went to play ball.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They went to do one thing. Tiger Woods didn't go
- 8:15Speaker 1: to Stanford to get an education. He went to play golf.
- 8:19Speaker 1: As soon as he got good enough, he'd gone. These
- 8:23Speaker 1: are guys that put all their eggs in one basket.
- 8:27Speaker 1: See what's cool with putting all your eggs in one
- 8:29Speaker 1: basket is you now can maximize your effort and laser
- 8:33Speaker 1: beam what you're doing. Your problem is. All you gotta
- 8:38Speaker 1: do is make sure what is your basket made out of.
- 8:42Speaker 1: If your basket is made out of faith, hope, hard work,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and belief, then guess what, that's a good basket. I'm
- 8:51Speaker 1: dumping all mine in it because ever since I was
- 8:54Speaker 1: a young dude, I've been telling jokes one thing, one
- 8:57Speaker 1: thing only. Even when he got ugly and I was
- 8:59Speaker 1: living in a car, I never quit telling them jokes. Man.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 9:05Speaker 1: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I ain't take no time off. Go work at to Walmart,
- 9:11Speaker 1: give me a job, go back to Forward and beg
- 9:13Speaker 1: for my job back. Hey man, put all your eggs
- 9:17Speaker 1: in a basket. Just make sure that your basket is
- 9:19Speaker 1: made up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket
- 9:25Speaker 1: woven by God. What you're tripping for. You're defeating yourself.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Where is your faith? Where is your belief? Where is
- 9:33Speaker 1: your trust? At one point in time, you got to
- 9:36Speaker 1: believe that God could do what he say gonna do,
- 9:39Speaker 1: because he didn't done it. For others, He'll most certainly
- 9:41Speaker 1: do it for you. Be careful of these sayings that's
- 9:44Speaker 1: out here, that's aligned by losers and people to justify
- 9:48Speaker 1: why they are not succeeded. Don't apply this stuff to
- 9:51Speaker 1: your life. And it ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You're gonna mess yourself up. All right, Okay, you're listening.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 12:03Speaker 1: couldn't even see all our wonders in the window. To
- 12:06Speaker 1: cut all draft out. That was our ceiling. You know,
- 12:11Speaker 1: there was an insulation and everything for us. And that
- 12:13Speaker 1: front door had a rug that stayed against the bottom crack. Yo, yep,
- 12:19Speaker 1: my daddy came by there and didn't see that rug
- 12:21Speaker 1: when the hell moodist rug got away from this dough

- 23:20Speaker 1: he asked her out in front of me. They've gone

- 34:43Speaker 1: He threw with it. Yeah, like one year he just
- 34:47Speaker 1: gonna up in whole ass. But a man, if they
- 34:54Speaker 1: ever do the ceremony down by the river, he's gonna
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'm going straight in, get to the other side, and
- 35:01Speaker 1: I'm out. All right, we are moving on for real now,
- 35:06Speaker 1: coming up a twenty minutes after the hour, right, we're
- 35:08Speaker 1: gonna talk about sleeping with the enemy. It all ties
- 35:11Speaker 1: in with your favorite TV show, Judge, Steve. Right after this,
- 35:16Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, there
- 35:20Speaker 1: are a few things in life that people are as
- 35:22Speaker 1: dedicated to and passionate about as their favorite sports teams. However,
- 35:27Speaker 1: a survey found that seventy five percent of diehard sports
- 35:31Speaker 1: fan sleep with a fan of a rival team. Did
- 35:34Speaker 1: not know that there was a similar case last night
- 35:37Speaker 1: on your show, Steve, Judge Steve. Now remember Robert, the
- 35:41Speaker 1: husband who was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan, sued his
- 35:45Speaker 1: wife Cynthia, who was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Yeah,
- 35:51Speaker 1: that's just as stupid as he want to be. Now,
- 35:54Speaker 1: Syndey destroyed her husband's Cleveland Brown's jersey and cut his
- 35:58Speaker 1: Miles Garrett auto graphed cap up. Yeah, that's that's fine,
- 36:04Speaker 1: that's fine. They needed you, Steve. She said she don't
- 36:09Speaker 1: know what happened to this stuff. Yes, she lying. Man.
- 36:15Speaker 1: This woman right here, man, this woman right and she
- 36:18Speaker 1: was talking. She was so rough. I was afraid of her.
- 36:22Speaker 1: You said that. Wow, Yeah, this woman right here, there's
- 36:27Speaker 1: a sister. No, no, no, the inter racial couple they
- 36:33Speaker 1: were a older couples funny as held on that. Yeah yeah,
- 36:36Speaker 1: so John As you ended up Judge Steve awarding the
- 36:40Speaker 1: husband two official authentic autographed jerseys. She was very happy about.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Some cats I know in Cleveland sent me to two
- 36:49Speaker 1: jerseys for Jim Brown autograph Jim Brown and Miles Garred. Yes, wow, yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 1: she cut up the autograph cap. Why would she do that?
- 37:02Speaker 1: But she don't remember none of that. It never happen. Happen.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what happened. Man, I'm
- 37:10Speaker 1: trying to tell you get in on the fun and
- 37:13Speaker 1: the judgment all of that. Make sure you check out

- 37:39Speaker 1: What you mumbled off, what happened, just trying just keep
- 37:42Speaker 1: hitting it on on Hulu over and over and over. JA,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I get credit. I'm trying to stay in the game. Game, sir,
- 37:49Speaker 1: You're in the game. You're in the game everywhere I
- 37:53Speaker 1: got Because people know we worked together. They talk about
- 37:56Speaker 1: Judge Steve exactly. People coming up to me, Steve. We
- 38:00Speaker 1: love Judge Steve. It's a great show. We watch it
- 38:03Speaker 1: all the time. Make sure you check out Judge Steve
- 38:06Speaker 1: tusdays at eight seven pm Central on ABC and Hulu.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Coming up with thirty four minutes after, we're gonna check
- 38:11Speaker 1: Steve's voicemail. Right after this, you're listening to Name Harvey
- 38:16Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, it is time now to check
- 38:19Speaker 1: Steve's voicemail. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven
- 38:23Speaker 1: seven twenty nine, Steve, if you want to leave Steve
- 38:26Speaker 1: a voicemail, this is a caller Steve. This first one
- 38:29Speaker 1: about the Supreme Court justice nomination. Good morning, Steve. Shirley
- 38:34Speaker 1: Collin Junior Jay that few times, just going to throw
- 38:39Speaker 1: this out here to you regarding Joe Biden and the
- 38:42Speaker 1: Supreme Court. While he promised to nominate a black woman,
- 38:48Speaker 1: I don't believe that Joe Biden even really thinks that
- 38:53Speaker 1: a black woman would be confirmed on the Supreme Court
- 38:58Speaker 1: because the powers that be. They'll whole that thing up forever.
- 39:03Speaker 1: And I just don't see it happening. Trust me, the
- 39:07Speaker 1: powers that be didn't want a black woman vice president.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Can't see putting a black woman on the Supreme Court
- 39:15Speaker 1: by the old boys who run that process and procedure.
- 39:21Speaker 1: The only promise to nominate one you've been promise to
- 39:24Speaker 1: give one. And this is your boy, John Love calling
- 39:29Speaker 1: out of Virginia Peace. Well, you know, man, listen to me.
- 39:35Speaker 1: The only problem I have with it is that I
- 39:39Speaker 1: don't like telegraphing everything and every move I'm gonna make
- 39:43Speaker 1: to the enemy, because all you do is give them
- 39:46Speaker 1: time to line they ducks up in a row. I
- 39:49Speaker 1: would have just if I would have, if I would
- 39:50Speaker 1: have just bought her out as the candidate. Listen, but
- 39:53Speaker 1: see this always trying to appease the black voter and
- 39:56Speaker 1: make us think like he's something special. I'm gonna a
- 39:59Speaker 1: lot of people. Let me explain something to you. The
- 40:04Speaker 1: average white voter, and this is just a fact, could
- 40:09Speaker 1: care less whether a black person is nominated or not.
- 40:15Speaker 1: They just don't. That's not that doesn't make them racist.
- 40:20Speaker 1: It's just not how many blacks are anywhere. It's on
- 40:23Speaker 1: the radar screen for the average white person. So I
- 40:28Speaker 1: just disagree with Joe Biden telegraphing the fact that this
- 40:33Speaker 1: is what he's gonna do. And it's like a campaign
- 40:35Speaker 1: promise that you can't guarantee you'll keep that, because what
- 40:40Speaker 1: the call is saying is really right, man. These boys
- 40:43Speaker 1: right here, man, and they're blatant with their racism. Now
- 40:46Speaker 1: they blatant with it. They ain't playing with it no more.
- 40:49Speaker 1: They've gotten permission from Donald Trump to blatantly do and
- 40:52Speaker 1: be what they want to say. And they're not playing
- 40:54Speaker 1: with this man. So when you give them or heads
- 40:58Speaker 1: up or the horse coming, they start line and they
- 41:00Speaker 1: ducks up in a row. Let me ask a question,
- 41:03Speaker 1: how can how can Trump pull off getting the person
- 41:07Speaker 1: on the Supreme Court? At how he was able to
- 41:10Speaker 1: do it? Why can't Biden do the same thing because
- 41:13Speaker 1: he was able to get what's the named Kavanaugh? Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: because the Republican Party is unified and they have the
- 41:22Speaker 1: help of two Democrats. That woman and meet him mecham
- 41:26Speaker 1: whatever his name is, out of West Virginia. There is
- 41:28Speaker 1: two Democrats. That's really wolves and wolves and Lamb's clothing.
- 41:35Speaker 1: This dude, meet him out of West Virginia is a
- 41:37Speaker 1: Republican on paper, but that don't mean not dog. What
- 41:44Speaker 1: did he do? He don't ever side with the Democrats.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Noms problem was sticking together. I mean they don't, that's
- 41:53Speaker 1: for sure. And they cowards and they play the game. Yeah,
- 41:57Speaker 1: next called, all right, let's go to UM. Oh here's
- 42:01Speaker 1: the call about Judge Steve. Steve Edwin. I'm Sarah, New York.
- 42:07Speaker 1: You was doing a great job. I like the UM
- 42:09Speaker 1: Judge show. You're doing something different. You don't have to
- 42:12Speaker 1: do what they do. You come up with your own
- 42:14Speaker 1: knowledge and your own wisdom. I like that. And plus
- 42:17Speaker 1: you a guy's child, you blass. Oh, I like that
- 42:20Speaker 1: making that Keep up from Tyler Perry. I would get
- 42:23Speaker 1: lost in that place. That place is matterless. I ain't

- 42:28Speaker 1: You're on the crew and I love to see. Keep
- 42:31Speaker 1: doing what you're doing. God bless, take care of bye.

- 44:47Speaker 1: man just got ruined. And now we're pushing things from
- 44:50Speaker 1: our twelve to four. So between twelve and four, man,

- 45:30Speaker 1: do your work, and you know I scheduled everything, yes
- 45:33Speaker 1: around this because I'm supposed to. You know, I gotta
- 45:35Speaker 1: have a refrigerator to pound on my food and stuff
- 45:37Speaker 1: and in the kitchen and whatnot. The refrigerator went out?
- 45:42Speaker 1: Did it go? Refrigerator went out? Is that what happened? Yea,
- 45:44Speaker 1: it's very so did. I mean I hadn't had it
- 45:46Speaker 1: for quite some times, which you know, so it's just

- 46:09Speaker 1: we'll be that man. We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
- 46:11Speaker 1: be that what you're refrigerated day. Okay, okay, So so

- 46:16Speaker 1: want you to call me and let me know that
- 46:17Speaker 1: you on your way so I know what's going on.
- 46:19Speaker 1: We don't know. We don't know him to call when

- 52:51Speaker 1: is Strawberry Letter, Thank you enough, subject his super Boo
- 52:56Speaker 1: Game Party. Dear Steve and Shirley, I'm a thirty three
- 52:59Speaker 1: year old female dating a thirty four year old man.
- 53:02Speaker 1: We met at our college homecoming two years ago, and
- 53:05Speaker 1: we didn't know each other in college, but we found
- 53:08Speaker 1: out we have a lot of mutual friends. He's an
- 53:11Speaker 1: alpha man, and he's very active in the fraternity and
- 53:14Speaker 1: he loves hanging with his Pratt Brothers. I am a
- 53:17Speaker 1: photographer and a lot of my clients are attractive single women.
- 53:21Speaker 1: My boyfriend's neighborhood as a nice clubhouse and he's been
- 53:26Speaker 1: planning a party for the Big Game on Sunday. He
- 53:29Speaker 1: gave me flyers to give to my clients, and he
- 53:32Speaker 1: said he'd be inviting a lot of his single male
- 53:34Speaker 1: friends that are looking for good women. I thought that's
- 53:38Speaker 1: a great way to hook up some of my clients,
- 53:40Speaker 1: so I told three of my clients to come. I
- 53:42Speaker 1: went over to spend time with him this weekend, and
- 53:45Speaker 1: on Sunday morning, it's fraternity brother and two other friends
- 53:49Speaker 1: came over early to start grilling, even though it was
- 53:52Speaker 1: snowing outside. He was talking on the back patio and
- 53:58Speaker 1: I heard him say that he dm several of the
- 54:01Speaker 1: baddest girls he follows on Instagram, and his boys chimed
- 54:05Speaker 1: in with excitement over all the bad bees they'd invited.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I asked my boyfriend about his guestless for the Big Game,
- 54:13Speaker 1: and he told me he had some of his colleagues coming,
- 54:16Speaker 1: but didn't go into detail. He was telling a boldfaced
- 54:20Speaker 1: live but I let it slide. Then I found text
- 54:23Speaker 1: messages in his phone to nothing but females inviting them.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I've seen the females he's following on Instagram, and none
- 54:30Speaker 1: of them need to be around my man or his friends.
- 54:35Speaker 1: I'm thinking of skipping his super bout party or maybe
- 54:39Speaker 1: invite a bunch of fine men to balance off the room.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Should I beat him at his own game? Or do
- 54:44Speaker 1: I avoid the party altogether and reevaluate my relationship. Well,
- 54:50Speaker 1: I definitely think you should go to the super blue
- 54:53Speaker 1: game party. I mean, you gotta be there to see
- 54:55Speaker 1: what's going on. And yes, yes, yes, of course invite
- 54:58Speaker 1: some cute guys the party, right, although I don't think
- 55:02Speaker 1: your guy is gonna like that because you're inviting other
- 55:05Speaker 1: guys to his house and he doesn't know them. So maybe,
- 55:09Speaker 1: on second thought, still go, but don't invite a cute guys.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Hopefully the party won't go too wild because you're gonna
- 55:17Speaker 1: be there. You know, your man should know how to
- 55:19Speaker 1: conduct himself, be good side of hand, and disrespects or
- 55:23Speaker 1: embarrasses you. You'll know at that moment where your relationship stands,
- 55:28Speaker 1: and you know what, make sure you bring your camera.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I strongly sug trust that. So the other fellows are
- 55:35Speaker 1: gonna behave you know. If you do that, they don't
- 55:37Speaker 1: want to catch themselves on camera with the bad bees,
- 55:40Speaker 1: you know, especially if they're married and such. So don't
- 55:43Speaker 1: try to or have girlfriends, don't try to beat him
- 55:46Speaker 1: at his own game. Just go so you can be
- 55:48Speaker 1: in the game. You could be part of his game, Steve.
- 55:54Speaker 1: You know, look, lady, you can do what Shirley says
- 55:56Speaker 1: if you want to. But let me hit through to
- 55:58Speaker 1: a couple of things. Sorry to be the bearer of
- 56:01Speaker 1: bad news, but let's just tell the truth in this letter.
- 56:05Speaker 1: You're thirty three dating this forty third disting this thirty
- 56:08Speaker 1: four year old guy you met in college home coming.
- 56:11Speaker 1: You don't know what you're coming. You don't know each
- 56:13Speaker 1: other in college, but you find out. You got a
- 56:15Speaker 1: line in comment. He's an alpha man, and he's very
- 56:19Speaker 1: active in the fraternity, and he loves hanging with his
- 56:22Speaker 1: fraternity brothers. No comment. Let me read this line again.
- 56:29Speaker 1: He's an alpha man, and he's very active in the fraternity,
- 56:33Speaker 1: and he loves hanging with his fraternity brothers. No comment
- 56:44Speaker 1: does the basis of your problems you're having right now?
- 56:49Speaker 1: That's all I would say. Oh, six brothers, let's just
- 56:54Speaker 1: messing with y'all. A lot of good brothers in every
- 56:57Speaker 1: fat man. I'm a photographer and a lot of our
- 57:00Speaker 1: clients are attractive single women. Now, my boyfriend's neighborhood got
- 57:04Speaker 1: this clubhouse and he's planning a party on the big
- 57:07Speaker 1: Game on Sunday. You do know the big game we're
- 57:09Speaker 1: talking about on that Sunday they're planning it. It's for
- 57:13Speaker 1: February the thirteenth. It's on a Sunday. It's a big game,
- 57:18Speaker 1: has the word bowl in it. Yeah, and it's that Sunday.
- 57:24Speaker 1: They call it like Super Sunday. Get it? Wink wink.
- 57:28Speaker 1: So now that we've got that, he gave me flyers
- 57:31Speaker 1: to give to my clients and said he'd be inviting
- 57:34Speaker 1: a lot of his single male friends that are looking
- 57:36Speaker 1: for good women. That's a lie. See, attractive men don't
- 57:42Speaker 1: have problems finding good women. They're inviting the fine women
- 57:47Speaker 1: to increase their selection pool. That's what this is for.
- 57:52Speaker 1: So just know that he'd be invited of his single
- 57:55Speaker 1: field looking for I thought that'd be a great way
- 57:57Speaker 1: to hook up some of my clients. So I told
- 58:00Speaker 1: three of my clients to come, and then you went
- 58:02Speaker 1: over to spend some time with him. A Sunday morning,
- 58:04Speaker 1: his frat brothers and two other friends came over early
- 58:08Speaker 1: to start grilling, even though it was snowing outside. He
- 58:12Speaker 1: was talking on the back patty, and I heard him
- 58:14Speaker 1: say that he dm several of the baddest girls he
- 58:17Speaker 1: follows on Instagram, and his boys chimed in with excitement,
- 58:20Speaker 1: all the bad bees that they had invited. Okay, me
- 58:26Speaker 1: and talk like that when women ain't around. I got it.
- 58:29Speaker 1: It's no excuse. I don't condone it. But you know,
- 58:32Speaker 1: you talk like that when they ain't around. You know so.
- 58:36Speaker 1: But then again, y'all let them put it in videos
- 58:38Speaker 1: and you buy their records, so they probably think it's cool.
- 58:41Speaker 1: That's another whole other conversation. I asked my boyfriend about
- 58:45Speaker 1: his guest list for the Big Game, and he told
- 58:47Speaker 1: me he had some colleagues coming, but didn't go into detail.
- 58:52Speaker 1: He was telling a bold faced lie though he wasn't. No,
- 58:57Speaker 1: he wasn't. He told you, YE have some colleagues coming by,
- 59:01Speaker 1: and that's what he did. Not a lot come hark too,
- 59:06Speaker 1: of responds, his angry responsive coming up at twenty three
- 59:11Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter. Subject is the
- 59:15Speaker 1: super Boot Game Party. We'll get back into it right
- 59:18Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to come on, Steve. Let's recap
- 59:24Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. The subject is super Boot Game Party.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Thirty four year old girl thirty four thirty three year
- 59:31Speaker 1: old ladies dating the guy thirty four that they went
- 59:33Speaker 1: to the same college. They met each other at home coming.
- 59:36Speaker 1: They didn't know. They talked. They have a lot in comments,
- 59:38Speaker 1: so they started dating. Uh, he's an out for He's
- 59:41Speaker 1: got a lot of fat brothers. He's very active with
- 59:43Speaker 1: his fat brothers. Come good with that. They got a
- 59:47Speaker 1: nice club house in the neighborhood. And so what he's
- 59:49Speaker 1: planning is to have a big party on the Big
- 59:52Speaker 1: Game day this year. You know that super thing that
- 59:55Speaker 1: they have out there that's a party and got the
- 59:58Speaker 1: word bold in it. And so you know, as long
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: as I don't say them together, I can't get in
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: no type of trouble. But we know what we all
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: talking about. What game it did, big Big It's like
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: the fifty something, the one that they thought, you know,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and it's gonna be in la you know, you know,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you need to the game anyway, and so uh, he
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: said he's gonna throw it. And he had been playing
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: in the party, and he gave flyers to uh this lady,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: this beautiful girl to give to her clients, he says,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: even inviting a lot of his single male friends looking
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: for good women. So you thought it was a good
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: way to hook up from your clients. So you told
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: three of your clients come over. Then you went over
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: that Sunday early and he had a couple of fat brothers,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: semetri friend. They was outside grilling in the snow. But
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: you overheard them talking about all the bad bees that
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: was gonna be at the party. And then he had
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: said he had dm some of the finest chicks he
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: follows to invite them over. Huh. So now after you
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: hear this, you walk in and then you know you
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: asked your boyfriend about the guest lists for the Big Game,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: and he told you he had some of his colleagues coming,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: but didn't go into detail. He was telling a boldfaced lie.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Once again, No, he wasn't. That was not a lie.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: You asked about the guest list. He said he invited
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: some of his colleagues. A few of them was outside.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Bobby que he has colleagues, people that he worked with,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: that's coming to the party. Your nose. He dipping behind
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: overheard him say he was gonna DM some of the
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: baddest chicks that he follows on Instagram, and the boys
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: was excited about it. Why would he tell you that
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: he was dming some chicks to invite him to the point,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: why would he tell you that? Why? Why would he
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: say that so the party could be lit? What you mean?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Why he do it so the party would be lit?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: She wanted to be lit. She didn't invite it three
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: of her fine friends because she wanted to be lit
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: for her girls. So now he said, and I've seen
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: the females he's following on Instagram and none of them
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: need to be around my man or his friends. Who
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: are you? You can't say that, man, they don't need
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to be around your man or his friends or his friend.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: You are? Who is you? The police? You don't get
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: to decide who who? Girls stopped And I'm thinking of
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: skipping the super Boo party or maybe invite a bunch
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: of fine men to balance off the rule. Don't do that.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: That's one thing Shirley told you not to do. Don't
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: don't you as dude. Let me tell you what. Men
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: don't mix. You can't mix men. You cannot do that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Men have to know who at their house. Men have
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: to know who in their space. You can't bring other
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: men in that because that's a whole nother masculine energy
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: and you don't even know who what these dudes gonna
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: bring or something started having seat. Look reading you have
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: your friends over your house is because when they start drinking,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: you've seen him drink before you can handle them. You
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: bring these other men in here, they get drunk, they
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: cater everybody stepped to them because they don't really know him.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Not a party out of hand? Should I beat him
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: at his own game? Or avoid the party altogether? You're
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: a little chicken, little girl. Invite it, avoid the party.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: He just told you to come, So why don't you
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: just go and see what's happening. It might be a
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: nice time. You don't know, but you're assuming all the worst.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: He's a bold faced lie. No he ain't. He just
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: didn't tell you everything, and no man does ain't. No
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: manfing to tell you everything that's not reality. Nobody's doing that.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Come on, young lady, if you're waiting on a man
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to tell you everything. You're not gonna be in a relationship,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and if you are in a relationship, is not gonna last.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: And don't you tell him everything? Women don't tell everything?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: And bet not. No, you can't go in the house
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: and tell your man who Holly that you at the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: stow today? You know why because we're gonna write back
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: down to that damn stoke. See mister produce clerk, see
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: how you want to talk about when I'm now he
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: what's up? Bro? All you need to do with being
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: here just selling this celery dog. You don't need a
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: holid celery, not just sell your celery many up in
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: here on her like this hill you do the celery dog.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: You don't do. You don't do Celeste, you do cele Celery.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: She ain't your business. You can't tell you man everything,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: and a man can't tell this woman everything. That's what
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: keeps the relationship alive. Period. That's right. Go to the
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: party and enjoy yourself. Do not break up with this
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: man because you're throwing a good man over to one
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: of them bad chicks that he didn't DM. Lord, I'm
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: much I wish I could see this part all right.

- 1:11:18Speaker 1: lot of truths. I got to talk with my little
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: brother about you. You need to shoot your headline because
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I comment you sitn't it be gone? You'll be able
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: to collect on that. You can just collect on that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I think about another year, another year to you're gonna
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: wake up a lot of your headline gonna be on
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the pillar. But you know what he's holding onto it,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Steve No why because it's wavy? What does it make
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: it a good grade? Have? It ain't up there no more.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: But I'm just saying that's why he's holding onto it,

- 1:12:30Speaker 1: says Wood, you got to laugh at yourself. I'll put
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: so and they match up with my headlines. I tell
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: you he's laughing because we all remember the day Steve
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: shaved his head. He called allfa it was the big
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: thing hold up. But I had shaved it actually when
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I was forty nine on Rise Save. I shaved it
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: on Christmas Eve when I was forty nine. What happened
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: was they came to do radio at my house, her
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: and NONI and I opened up the door and they
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: walked in and they didn't even say nothing. They know
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it was you. I opened up the dope ball headed
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: as hell. But that's where you know, people come to
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: your house looking at your house instead of you. What
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: they know is zed we're walking looking all around. Oh
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: the seals as I ain't got no help made. But
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: finally we said, oh, you've got a nice shaped head, Steve.

- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Morehouse College. The Broncos sale, which comes in at a

- 1:14:46Speaker 1: We haven't talked about it. He didn't run it. When
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: you say hey, he ain't called me and saying nothing.

- 1:16:06Speaker 1: that problem. I don't, man, I got you. Here's another one.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Would you rather have sex every day in a haunted house?
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Or would you rather have no sex for a year
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: in your dream house? Well, you got a problem in

- 1:16:41Speaker 1: fitting it, dude, whatever, Just too much of that, too
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: much of that. I'm standing on him, looking at you.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: You necking that dude behind you? Standing on here. Ain't

- 1:17:08Speaker 1: third night, We're gonna change the deal. Then I got
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: to get out of here. Man, I'm not sitting to
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: sit up here. No sex for you in the dream house,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: all right? So no sex for one year in your
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: dream house. I ain't gonna be. I ain't. I ain't
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: gonna be to make it in that harnted house. That ain't.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: I ain't getting no sleep all behind and nothing happening
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: in this harnted I can't sleep. We show ain't going
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: to hold each other, every man, all right? How about
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: this one? Would you rather have a speaking voice like
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: James Earl Jones this is? Or would you rather have
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: a singing voice like very white. Oh, I want very white.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: You'd be very white all day, Not James Earl Jones.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Very way. I'll take the singing voice and just deal
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: with your voice. I got the voice, the talking voice.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: I got that served me pretty good. So I'm gonna
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: need to change in that. I get it. I thought
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: told me a little billionaire old practice, you change your
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: all right? All right, thank you guys. Coming up next

- 1:18:33Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Wednesday. It's been
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: a fun day, great day, been a great day. Yeah,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: and Carlo, we got to say congratulations to you, mommy
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: of Tasha who's killing it with her dance team. Yeah, yes, yes,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: that's awesome. Guys in Dallas the Indian Alliance competition. They
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: are the national champions. Thank you. The team is called Stellar,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: So shout out to Stellar and Tasha and her dance steammates. Yes,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: she keep winning. They're gonna put her ass off the team.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: But it's a team No, it's a team effort. It's
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: not just her winning. It's the whole team winning. It's stupid,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: it's crazy, it's so crazy. Appreciate the love the baby.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: We're proud of our little baby. Congratulation growing up, keep winning.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Never know where it's gonna turn out. Thank y'all, Love y'all,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: love y'all. So much to be a world class coordinator,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: choreographer or something. But then y'all ain't got to pay
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: for college. Yeah there you go. Skip scholarships. Yeah, baby, scholarship.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: What as we going to college? What a scholarship you corfor?
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Can't teach you how to dance in college? They don't
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: they allow you to dance. They don't teach you going
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: there with the skills. We've been to go to college. No,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: we've been be well class choreographer. We threw it this
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: here we we we found our guilt and it's not
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: in college. They don't teach your choreography in college. It So,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: what you're saying is that if you could get a
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: scholar shield for just talking crazy, you had a full rad.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I wasted my time. What he was not down there?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I just didn't know it. I went out there trying
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: to get an education. Were dumb assn't need no education.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: We can't educate you. You don't even pay attention, you
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: don't know how to study, you can't stay in testing.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Question every time we tell you something, why why are
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: you down here? When you questioned everything? We tell you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: why that? Why? What? It's pie squared times ten? Who
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: need this? Who? Who needs this? At what point in
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: my life? My life? And I'm gonna need pie? What
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: saw these is my clothes? Remarks? Your child? Let me
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: tell you something. If you find your child's guilt, man,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: focus on that gift, man, because that's what it's gonna
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: take them far in life. And I'm kind of serious
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: about that too. You A lot of times we push
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: education on everybody when everybody ain't in this world to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: go to college. Everybody's not set up in this world
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: to go to college. And you could make your children go.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I wish I had understood that about my children earlier.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I got better at it while I said, hey, let's
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: find out what you want to do. Let's go do that,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: and let's tie to your gift and let's go do that. Now.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I'm not knocking education at all, because it's a beautiful thing.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: And I spoke to a group of a college students
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the other night. I'm amazed at people who can go
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: to college and get the groups breathes and masters and
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: PhDs and all that stuff. I think that's a fascinating gift.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: And being smart is a gift. So college is for
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: a lot of people, because if smart is your gift,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: that's just as good and oftentimes better than running, jumping,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: singing and dancing. So I'm not knocking education. You gotta
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: get educated to be a surgeon, a doctor, a lawyer,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: a dentist, and engineer and architect. You gotta do that.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: So this is not a knock on education. What about
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: the other folks? What about the other folks that don't
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: have that in their DNA? They can't be successful too.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I think they can. I'm a living witness to it.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Now I don't. I don't recommend my out. I do
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: not recommend my route to anybody because it's route right here.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: When you talk about I went up the rough side
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: of the mountain, I'm not playing with you, but you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: got to be a certain time type of person to
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: get up the rough side of the mountain. It's in you.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: But do you want to develop it? Is the question?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Do you want to go through the things that's necessary
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: for you to attain your dreams. That's why a lot
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: of people give up because they don't want the requirements
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: that come with being successful. It's in all of us.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: But do you want to develop it? Do you want
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: to keep going when you feel like quitting? Do you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: want to see it through when you don't even know
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: where the end is at? Do you want to keep
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: stepping when they chopping off your legs? Do you want
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to keep getting up when they continually knock you down?
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: When the answer for me was yes, because there's nothing
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: in staying down and said now I'm down. There's nothing
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: in quitting for me except it's over. So when your
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: children are talking to you, listen very carefully. Spend time
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: asking your children, what do you really want to do?
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: If you could be anything you could possibly be, and
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you knew you couldn't fail at it, what would you do.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Let's talk to our children about their dreams and vision
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: because God can put a different thing in them that's
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: in it for you. You don't know. I'm pretty sure
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Barack Obama's mother had no idea when she gave birth
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: to him that he would become the first African American
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: president of this country right here. I'm pretty sure she
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: had no idea, but he had it in his head.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Find out what's in your kids heads. That's all I
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: got to say. That's turned out to be my clazy laws,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: even though I did in ten. Now have a great day, Hey, look,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: talk to God in love to here from me. Bye
