Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / BIDENFLATION MELTDOWN: Baby Formula Shortage, New Record High Gas Prices and Biden says "It is OUR FAULT for NOT paying attention to our spending"
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Joe Biden is dealing with a whole lot of problems
- 0:03Speaker 1: today with our economy, and these are problems that are
- 0:06Speaker 1: actually created by his own policies. Gas prices have now
- 0:12Speaker 1: hit an all time new high for unleaded gasoline, the
- 0:15Speaker 1: highest we've ever paid on record. Triple A just announced
- 0:19Speaker 1: well over four dollars a gallon now, and diesel prices
- 0:23Speaker 1: today have hit the highest ever on record, five dollars
- 0:26Speaker 1: and fifty five cents a gallon. This on top of
- 0:30Speaker 1: the fact that we had worse than expected consumer prices
- 0:35Speaker 1: up eight point three percent in April. Inflation is what
- 0:40Speaker 1: they want you to believe somehow retreated in a big
- 0:42Speaker 1: way in April, but no, it's not exactly what you think.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It remained higher than forecasts. The Department of Labor said
- 0:49Speaker 1: today that the consumer price index rose eight point three
- 0:53Speaker 1: percent compared to a a year ago. In other words, you're
- 0:56Speaker 1: paying eight point three percent more for everything right now
- 0:58Speaker 1: than you were a year ago. Prices were up zero
- 1:02Speaker 1: point three percent compared with a month prior, meaning that
- 1:05Speaker 1: it's still totally out of control. What's happening in our
- 1:09Speaker 1: economy now. This is the eleventh straight month of inflation
- 1:13Speaker 1: above five percent, which means your wages are clearly not
- 1:18Speaker 1: keeping up with inflation, which has been one of the
- 1:20Speaker 1: arguments that democrats have been saying, justifying, well, things aren't
- 1:24Speaker 1: really that bad, right because your wages are skyrocketing. Prices
- 1:28Speaker 1: are rising at an annual rate of eight point five
- 1:31Speaker 1: percent in March, and this was economists had forecasts that
- 1:36Speaker 1: the CPI would rise by zero point two percent for
- 1:40Speaker 1: the month and at eight point one percent overall number
- 1:44Speaker 1: when it comes to inflation, comparing that to a year ago.
- 1:48Speaker 1: The problem is that number exploded. Why because the costs
- 1:52Speaker 1: of goods and services across the board have continued to
- 1:55Speaker 1: go up. Now, I also want to say thank you

- 3:42Speaker 1: know we've got the new show out there makes you
- 3:44Speaker 1: hit that real quick while you're listening now, after inflation
- 3:49Speaker 1: and these numbers came out and seeing that also food
- 3:52Speaker 1: and energy prices are going through the roof, that the
- 3:56Speaker 1: average alley earning for all employees actually fell by zero
- 4:01Speaker 1: point one percent from March to April. The US Bureau
- 4:04Speaker 1: of Labor Statistics also said the real average hourly earnings
- 4:08Speaker 1: decreased two point six percent seasonally adjusted from April of
- 4:13Speaker 1: last year until April this year, meaning no, you're not
- 4:16Speaker 1: making more money than you were making a year ago
- 4:18Speaker 1: when you factor in inflation. Now, the President of the
- 4:23Speaker 1: United States of America had to come out and he
- 4:25Speaker 1: had to deliver these remarks on combating inflation, and behind
- 4:29Speaker 1: him on the backdrop it said he was lowering costs
- 4:31Speaker 1: and tackling inflation. And he also said that the real
- 4:34Speaker 1: problem is my predecessor. He claimed he was lowering the
- 4:37Speaker 1: deficit by more than a trillion dollars this year. That
- 4:40Speaker 1: is a lie. He said that it was really the
- 4:42Speaker 1: Republicans that had no plan on how to deal with inflation.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That is also lie. He said that I inherited all
- 4:48Speaker 1: this bad stuff from the last administration. That is also lie,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and he said that he's reproducing more oil under his
- 4:55Speaker 1: leadership in the first year in office than Donald Trump did,
- 4:59Speaker 1: which is credibly misleading. Why let me explain that to you.
- 5:03Speaker 1: When Donald Trump came in off as his first year,
- 5:06Speaker 1: he had to undo all eight years of Obama Biden
- 5:10Speaker 1: regulations on the oil and gas industries. What was the
- 5:15Speaker 1: goal of the administration. Donald Trump's administration was very clear,
- 5:21Speaker 1: we're going to have this change. People are going to
- 5:24Speaker 1: come in and what is going to happen is when
- 5:27Speaker 1: you come in right, we are going to make sure
- 5:30Speaker 1: that you can have the Keystone Pipeline, that we're going
- 5:33Speaker 1: to give out drilling permits, that we're going to allow
- 5:35Speaker 1: for energy independence, so we're not beholden to places like
- 5:38Speaker 1: China and Russia and the Middle East. And that's what
- 5:40Speaker 1: he did. It took time to unwind it. The idea
- 5:43Speaker 1: that he can claim that he's pro more pro oil
- 5:46Speaker 1: and gas. Then the last guy is insanity because the
- 5:50Speaker 1: first thing that he did when he came into office,
- 5:52Speaker 1: Joe Biden, is undo everything that Donald Trump did to
- 5:55Speaker 1: have the issue of energy independence work in our favor.
- 5:59Speaker 1: One another thing that I think it's very important for
- 6:01Speaker 1: you to understand is Joe Biden, and this is how
- 6:03Speaker 1: absurd he is about you having to pay five fifty
- 6:07Speaker 1: five a gallon on average for diesel and four fifty
- 6:11Speaker 1: a gallon for unleaded nationwide average. He says he's going
- 6:15Speaker 1: to help you create and produce biofuels at home. So
- 6:21Speaker 1: if you want to lower your price to the pump,
- 6:23Speaker 1: what he's telling you to do is he's going to
- 6:25Speaker 1: allow for you to make your own gasoline at home
- 6:28Speaker 1: with biofuels. How many people can afford to do that
- 6:30Speaker 1: or even know how to do this? Right to quote
- 6:33Speaker 1: democrats here, that's saying, you know, I'm not an a biologist.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Well guess what, I'm not a chemist. I don't have
- 6:38Speaker 1: enough of any byproduct to make biofuels in my backyard.
- 6:44Speaker 1: This is actually what he offered to the American people
- 6:47Speaker 1: during his press conference that the US government, for the
- 6:51Speaker 1: first time ever, is going to allow for you at
- 6:54Speaker 1: home to make biofuels. Now, this may work for some
- 6:57Speaker 1: farmers out there, Okay, that work, It really might. I
- 7:02Speaker 1: want to make this could be good for a couple
- 7:04Speaker 1: of farmers that have a massive amount a byproduct to
- 7:08Speaker 1: make biofuels. But the average American is not going to
- 7:11Speaker 1: go into the biofuel business tomorrow. You have to have
- 7:15Speaker 1: something to do this with, right. You got to have
- 7:17Speaker 1: a massive amount of spent cooking oil, right or grease
- 7:20Speaker 1: to be able to pull this off. Or corn. I
- 7:23Speaker 1: cannot produce enough corn in my backyard to start making
- 7:26Speaker 1: biofuels for me each and every day. And this is
- 7:29Speaker 1: his response to that. Now, if you're not buying, by
- 7:33Speaker 1: the way, what I'm what Biden is trying to sell
- 7:35Speaker 1: you on all this, then let me let you hear
- 7:38Speaker 1: Biden in his own words when he was talking about
- 7:40Speaker 1: the real problem here with inflation, as he put it
- 7:44Speaker 1: is really not him, not his administration, but it is
- 7:47Speaker 1: you're ready for this, Covid and Putin, that is who
- 7:50Speaker 1: you're supposed to blame, he says. The Republicans are to blame.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Trump's to blame, but He's not to blame. And if
- 7:56Speaker 1: you want to blame somebody, he says, blame Putin and
- 7:59Speaker 1: blame Covid. Listen, the first cause of inflation is a
- 8:03Speaker 1: once in a century pandemic. Not only did it shut
- 8:08Speaker 1: down our global economy and through the supply chaine and
- 8:11Speaker 1: demand completely out of whack, especially in countries were more
- 8:15Speaker 1: effective recovery responses weren't available, especially in those sectors that
- 8:21Speaker 1: rely on semiconductors. These supply challenges have been further hampered
- 8:28Speaker 1: by the onset of delta and omicron viruses. And you've
- 8:33Speaker 1: all seen it, you've all felt it. And this year
- 8:36Speaker 1: we have a second cause, a second cause, mister Putin's
- 8:40Speaker 1: war in Ukraine. There it is. You don't need to
- 8:44Speaker 1: be worried about any of this. And because this is
- 8:46Speaker 1: really other problems, a once in a century pandemic, that's
- 8:50Speaker 1: the real cause here. Not that I'm not paying attention,
- 8:53Speaker 1: not that I'm not pushing and advocating for energy independence here,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you know. Jen Saki at the White House also was
- 9:01Speaker 1: asked about the massive spending at the White House. Right,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you guys are spending in record numbers, which is causing
- 9:06Speaker 1: problems with inflation. You're spending trillions of dollars while lying
- 9:09Speaker 1: saying that you're cutting the deficit by every trillion dollars
- 9:12Speaker 1: this year, which is not true. The fact checkers should
- 9:14Speaker 1: fact check it. It's very clear. But the White House
- 9:17Speaker 1: President tary lying to you and the American people, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: they say, no, we don't believe that massive spending has
- 9:23Speaker 1: anything to do with inflation, which it absolutely does, just
- 9:27Speaker 1: to make sure, like what he's saying is the pandemic
- 9:31Speaker 1: is distinct from the spending in response to the pandemic,
- 9:34Speaker 1: and he does not believe the size of the spending
- 9:36Speaker 1: matter with regard to inflation. Again, no, no, he doesn't.
- 9:42Speaker 1: So the government apparently can spend as much money as
- 9:44Speaker 1: they want on any port rail projects they want, pushing
- 9:46Speaker 1: anything they want to push, and it will have no
- 9:48Speaker 1: bearing on inflation except it is literally the United States
- 9:51Speaker 1: economy and our government is that deals with inflation. Now,
- 9:55Speaker 1: if the president believes that he that the government spending
- 9:57Speaker 1: has anything to do with inflation, then the president need
- 10:00Speaker 1: explain this to me. How is it that the government
- 10:02Speaker 1: can reign in inflation? Then it's a fair question, right. Also,
- 10:06Speaker 1: he had a lot of gaffs yesterday. Don't worry. MSNBC says,
- 10:09Speaker 1: quote Biden has made gaffs his entire career, and that
- 10:13Speaker 1: comes with the Joe Biden package. So everybody needs to
- 10:16Speaker 1: calm down. One of the things they've now done has
- 10:20Speaker 1: made fun of Donald Trump because it couldn't defend Biden's
- 10:23Speaker 1: speech on inflation. They couldn't defend what he was saying,
- 10:27Speaker 1: so instead they went back to attacking Donald Trump. Mocking
- 10:32Speaker 1: Donald Trump when Donald Trump said he'd be more than
- 10:34Speaker 1: happy to take a cognitive test, which he passed with
- 10:36Speaker 1: flying colors back in the day when he was a president,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and you can hear them laughing about this, right, And
- 10:41Speaker 1: instead of actually talking about the cognitive decline clearly of
- 10:45Speaker 1: Joe Biden, which is obvious to anyone that watched a
- 10:48Speaker 1: speech or listen to this speech, they say, this is
- 10:53Speaker 1: normal behavior for Joe Biden, Like, this is just who
- 10:58Speaker 1: Joe Biden's He's always had problems, right, He's always had issues.
- 11:04Speaker 1: He's always had you know, these oops moments. This is
- 11:08Speaker 1: now how they're trying to say, Oh, it's not a
- 11:11Speaker 1: big deal, right, Like everything's totally normal with Joe Biden.
- 11:14Speaker 1: There's no cognitive decline of Joe Biden. This is just
- 11:17Speaker 1: Joe Biden. And we'll make fun of Donald Trump, by
- 11:19Speaker 1: the way, to compare it, so you'll remember, Donald Trump sucks.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I know this guy's terrible, but Donald Trump has sucked.
- 11:26Speaker 1: He's the worst guy ever. Listen, first, to begin with
- 11:29Speaker 1: an asside I was part of the pres school in
- 11:30Speaker 1: Air Force one. Maybe three years ago when President Trump
- 11:33Speaker 1: started talking about that connentive test and brag that doctors
- 11:36Speaker 1: told him. He said that no one had ever done
- 11:38Speaker 1: that before, had successfully achieved those five boards, And now
- 11:44Speaker 1: years later he is still doing it from the rally stage.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But I think you're the thing about Rick Scott is
- 11:49Speaker 1: I think the tell here is how other Republicans have
- 11:52Speaker 1: run away from him and run away from his plans.
- 11:55Speaker 1: The Minority Leader McConnell has shoots death stairs at Rick
- 11:59Speaker 1: Scott every time he sees them, because I think Republicans
- 12:02Speaker 1: go into this November elections dragists have said to me, like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: just keep your head down here, like, you know, the
- 12:08Speaker 1: environment looks good for Republicans, the party in power tends
- 12:11Speaker 1: to lose seats. We know. Inflation and we're gonna get
- 12:13Speaker 1: a report on this later today is really bad. Right now.
- 12:16Speaker 1: They feel like they trends are heading their direction. Now
- 12:19Speaker 1: whether that is true remains to be seen, but they
- 12:21Speaker 1: don't want to commit unforced errors, and they feel like
- 12:23Speaker 1: the Rick Scott thing is an unforced error. And the
- 12:26Speaker 1: attack to hypocrisy here of attacking President Biden for you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: his cognitive alleged cognitive issues. I mean, it is, it's absurd.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I love it's alleged cognitive issues, right to alleged. So
- 12:40Speaker 1: so you're supposed to be talking about Joe Biden and
- 12:42Speaker 1: the economy and how bad things are, and instead you
- 12:45Speaker 1: moved to Risk Scott, the Republican Party, the GOP, and
- 12:49Speaker 1: Donald Trump, and then you'll laugh at Republicans saying, oh,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Donald Trump really isn't that smart. He's not that great
- 12:54Speaker 1: when it comes as cognitive you know issues either. So
- 12:58Speaker 1: so this is, you know, to allege that Joe Biden's
- 13:01Speaker 1: got any cognive is who's absurd? This is just Joe
- 13:04Speaker 1: Biden being Joe Biden. Alleged cognitive issues, I mean it is,
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's absurd. And yes, does President Biden occasionally make mistakes. Yes,
- 13:11Speaker 1: for instance, yesterday he said Rick Scottish from Wisconsin rather
- 13:14Speaker 1: than Florida. But as you point out correctly, he's made
- 13:17Speaker 1: gaps his entire career that comes with the Joe Biden package.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And certainly he has never humiliated himself on the public
- 13:26Speaker 1: stage like President Trump did when he was in office. Repeatedly, repeatedly, Yes,
- 13:31Speaker 1: because so Donald Trump is humiliated himself on stage repeatedly
- 13:36Speaker 1: when he was president. So and this is just you know,
- 13:38Speaker 1: Joe Biden being Joe Biden. Look, I know he doesn't
- 13:40Speaker 1: know where senators are from and what states they're from,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and Wisconsin didn't even close to Florida. But that's just
- 13:46Speaker 1: Joe Biden. But Joe Biden is clearly has zero cognitive decline.
- 13:50Speaker 1: They're saying that's on MSNBC while they're supposed to be
- 13:53Speaker 1: talking about inflation, right right, while they're supposed to be
- 13:59Speaker 1: taught talking about inflation. This is what they're saying. I
- 14:05Speaker 1: will tell you this right now, Republicans better really focus
- 14:10Speaker 1: in on the issues now more than they ever have before.
- 14:14Speaker 1: They better do everything they can to focus in now, Okay,
- 14:19Speaker 1: because if they don't focus on the issues, it's gonna
- 14:23Speaker 1: be game over. If they don't focus on the issues,
- 14:28Speaker 1: they're gonna miss out on a massive opportunity to have
- 14:30Speaker 1: a huge impact in a positive way on this election. Now,
- 14:36Speaker 1: Joe Biden's speech should be turned by Republicans running in
- 14:40Speaker 1: this midterm election into their commercials. These candidates shouldn't even
- 14:45Speaker 1: put themselves up there on the screen, just their name.
- 14:48Speaker 1: This is the guy in charge of America. This is
- 14:51Speaker 1: what he's saying about your suffering. This is what he's
- 14:54Speaker 1: saying about five fifty five a gallon diesel and four
- 14:58Speaker 1: fifty unleaded fuel. This is what he's said about what's
- 15:01Speaker 1: happening right now to you and your pain, and you're suffering.
- 15:05Speaker 1: He is continuing to tack people that work hard and
- 15:07Speaker 1: employee people in the private sector. He's now going back
- 15:09Speaker 1: after rich people, saying that's the real problem. He also
- 15:12Speaker 1: is saying that inflation is good. This is an unedited
- 15:17Speaker 1: minute and a half of Joe Biden speaking. I'll try
- 15:19Speaker 1: not to interrupt, but listen to carefully to what he
- 15:22Speaker 1: says from his big speech on tackling inflation and lowering costs.
- 15:28Speaker 1: And I agree with what Chairman Paul said last week
- 15:31Speaker 1: that the number one threat is the strength, and that
- 15:36Speaker 1: strength that we built is inflation. So the FEDS should
- 15:40Speaker 1: do its job and it will do its building inflation.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Sorry I had to interrupt there. Did he just say
- 15:45Speaker 1: that our number one thing we're doing is building inflation?
- 15:47Speaker 1: So inflation now is a good thing? Apparently, can we
- 15:50Speaker 1: go back that? Now, that's not a teleprompter. It shouldn't
- 15:52Speaker 1: be hard to screw this one up. Right. I've built
- 15:55Speaker 1: a strong We've built a strong economy with a strong
- 15:57Speaker 1: job market. And I agree with what Chairman Paul said
- 16:01Speaker 1: last week that the number one threat is the strength
- 16:06Speaker 1: and that strength that we built is inflation. Is inflation.
- 16:10Speaker 1: So now inflation is a good thing. The President's telling
- 16:12Speaker 1: you it's not a bad thing. It's a good thing. Meanwhile,
- 16:15Speaker 1: we have a worse sending baby formula shortage, which is
- 16:18Speaker 1: angering parents right now because they can't find baby formula
- 16:21Speaker 1: for their children. They're having to limit the number of
- 16:24Speaker 1: baby formulas you can buy at the store. But we're
- 16:27Speaker 1: sending forty million dollars a new aid to Ukraine on
- 16:31Speaker 1: top of the other four hundred million for the other day.
- 16:32Speaker 1: But we got a shortage of baby formula in the
- 16:35Speaker 1: United States of America and five dollars and fifty five
- 16:39Speaker 1: diesel gasoline. But don't worry. The President has something for you.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You're gonna be excited about. Listen. So the Fed should
- 16:46Speaker 1: do its job, and it we'll do a job. I'm
- 16:47Speaker 1: convinced with that in mind. Now, as I said when
- 16:52Speaker 1: I came to what Congress and the President can do
- 16:56Speaker 1: to fight inflation, Americans have two potential to pass forward.
- 17:00Speaker 1: The first is my plan and Democratic Plan plan put
- 17:04Speaker 1: forward by Congressional Republicans as a second alternative. Here's how
- 17:08Speaker 1: each of us would take tackle inflation. My plan is
- 17:11Speaker 1: the lower employer and lower everyday at costs for everyday
- 17:15Speaker 1: costs for hard work in Americans. You are noticing, I hope,
- 17:18Speaker 1: how hard it is for him to just get a
- 17:20Speaker 1: sentence out. I'm not saying this to me mean, but
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's very clear, even with a massive teleprompter, that the
- 17:25Speaker 1: president cannot get through these basic sentences. He keeps having
- 17:30Speaker 1: to close his eyes and really might seriously focus on
- 17:35Speaker 1: basic words to get out of his mouth. Every sentence
- 17:39Speaker 1: is not clean. Now and lower the deficit by asking
- 17:43Speaker 1: large corporations and the wealthiest Americans to not engage in
- 17:48Speaker 1: price cougy and to pay their fair share in Texas.
- 17:51Speaker 1: All right, so let's talk about that sentence. It's a
- 17:54Speaker 1: great idea. Right, Rich people are evil, they're not paying
- 17:58Speaker 1: their fair share. Rich people need to pay their fair share.
- 18:02Speaker 1: And so we're going to raise taxes. Now, that's not
- 18:05Speaker 1: going to help problems with inflation, because when you raise
- 18:07Speaker 1: taxes on corporations, they're going to pass on. Okay, that
- 18:12Speaker 1: money that they're now having to pay in higher taxes
- 18:15Speaker 1: onto the consumer, which is actually going to make inflation
- 18:18Speaker 1: even worse. Anybody that understands basic economics will tell you
- 18:22Speaker 1: that now is not the time to raise taxes in
- 18:25Speaker 1: a massive way on corporations, which is what he just said.
- 18:29Speaker 1: The second thing that he said is he talked about
- 18:31Speaker 1: price gouging, and he said that price gouging is the
- 18:35Speaker 1: other real big issue here, price gouging. Why don't you
- 18:42Speaker 1: give an example, mister president, You just told the American
- 18:46Speaker 1: people that we have a real problem in this country,
- 18:48Speaker 1: not with inflation, but price gouging. So where is the
- 18:51Speaker 1: price gouging? Because what people are saying when they go
- 18:54Speaker 1: to the grocery store right now is record high prices
- 18:57Speaker 1: on every single thing. We have a worsening baby formulas
- 19:01Speaker 1: shortage in America. You would think the president would understand
- 19:05Speaker 1: that mothers who are having to to you know, many
- 19:07Speaker 1: who can't breastfeed for example, who desperate are women that
- 19:12Speaker 1: are working, right, I mean women feminists? Where are you
- 19:15Speaker 1: women that are working who can't always be tied to
- 19:18Speaker 1: a breastpumper or breastfeeding They need right formula. Sometimes you
- 19:24Speaker 1: have to supplement and you need formula. Why didn't the
- 19:28Speaker 1: president address the formula shortage as parents are angry because
- 19:31Speaker 1: they can't find formula for their babies in the United
- 19:34Speaker 1: States of America, you can't find baby formula. President didn't
- 19:40Speaker 1: talk about that, right, Why would you? No? Instead, we're
- 19:43Speaker 1: going to tell you that there's price gouging happening, even
- 19:45Speaker 1: though we have not a single example of price gouging,
- 19:49Speaker 1: which is against the law. Why isn't someone charging people
- 19:51Speaker 1: with crimes if in fact there is price gouging happening
- 19:53Speaker 1: and going on? Right now, somebody answer me that question.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You can't just walk out there and and make these
- 20:02Speaker 1: types of accusations of massive price gouge and going on
- 20:05Speaker 1: and not giving a single example of it, unless I
- 20:07Speaker 1: guess you're Joe Biden, you're a Democrat. Because the media
- 20:10Speaker 1: is not going to ask you that follow up question
- 20:12Speaker 1: apparently right now, Why would we We're never gonna We're
- 20:17Speaker 1: never going to ask that follow up question. Why would
- 20:19Speaker 1: we do such a thing as asking you that follow
- 20:20Speaker 1: up question? Come on now, right, He's not done. The
- 20:27Speaker 1: plan is to increase taxes on the middle class families,
- 20:30Speaker 1: but billionaires of large companies off the hook as they
- 20:34Speaker 1: raise profits and raise prices and reprofits and record number,
- 20:38Speaker 1: record of miles. And it's really that simple. But let
- 20:42Speaker 1: me explain why this choice is so important all right now.
- 20:45Speaker 1: To be clear, he just said Republicans plan on inflation
- 20:49Speaker 1: is to raise taxes on the middle class by billions
- 20:51Speaker 1: or trillions of dollars. There's not a single plan out
- 20:54Speaker 1: there for Republicans to raise taxes on the middle class.
- 20:57Speaker 1: No one's walking around going vote for me in the
- 20:59Speaker 1: mid terms and we'll raise taxes on the middle class
- 21:01Speaker 1: because they know that that would destroy our economy, and
- 21:05Speaker 1: with the issues that we have with inflation, it would
- 21:07Speaker 1: destroy it as well. Everybody knows this. Okay, this is
- 21:14Speaker 1: everybody understands it in the Republican Party. He's now just
- 21:18Speaker 1: making crap up as he goes. Actually he's not. His
- 21:20Speaker 1: speechwriters are. The people around him are. That's what's really
- 21:24Speaker 1: happening here. They're the ones that are where they're saying,
- 21:28Speaker 1: all right, well, we'll just accuse the Republicans and fearmonger,
- 21:31Speaker 1: boogeyman you into believing that things are terrible right now,
- 21:36Speaker 1: things are awful right now. If the Republicans get in office,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you may think they're bad under us, you've seen nothing yet.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Wait till the Republicans get an office again, and then
- 21:44Speaker 1: look at what they are going to do. That's who
- 21:48Speaker 1: you should really be scared of. That's the that's their
- 21:50Speaker 1: boogeyman argument for actually what they're doing. Let me start.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Let me start with the put price HUK high gas prices.
- 22:01Speaker 1: There it is. Let me move over to Putin real quick.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Putin's a bad guy. I hate Putin. Putin's terrible, and
- 22:08Speaker 1: Putin's the reason why you're paying five fifty five a
- 22:10Speaker 1: gallon for diesel and four fifty a gallon for unleaded.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Not because I shut down the Keystone pipeline, not because
- 22:17Speaker 1: I stopped drilling, not because I stopped handing out oil leases,
- 22:20Speaker 1: not because I did undid every single thing that Donald
- 22:23Speaker 1: Trump did to give us energy independence. No, no, no,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you can't blame me for any of this. You have
- 22:29Speaker 1: to blame now Vladimir Putin because you should hate Putin
- 22:33Speaker 1: right now. Right these are this is the logic of
- 22:35Speaker 1: the Democratic speechwriters. It's the best game they've got for
- 22:38Speaker 1: you right now, as the American people are suffering as well.
- 22:41Speaker 1: This is Putin's fault. Which it is clearly not and
- 22:44Speaker 1: Anderson prices. My plan has already been in motion. I
- 22:49Speaker 1: led the world and other countries can be joined with
- 22:51Speaker 1: us to coordinate the largest release of oil from our
- 22:55Speaker 1: stockpiles of all the countries in history, two hundred forty millions,
- 23:00Speaker 1: to boost global supply. Here at home, US oil and
- 23:04Speaker 1: gas production is approaching record levels. In fact, we produce
- 23:09Speaker 1: more oil domestically on my first year in office to
- 23:11Speaker 1: my predecessor did in his first year. To further drive
- 23:15Speaker 1: down prices, my administration is allowing the State of the
- 23:18Speaker 1: sale of gasoline using homegrown biofuels biofuels this summer. Okay,
- 23:24Speaker 1: so there it is. Don't blame me, blame Putin. But
- 23:27Speaker 1: if you're still blaming me, I'm going to give you something.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm going to allow you at home to create your
- 23:35Speaker 1: own gasoline through biofuels. Biofuels are expensive to make, especially
- 23:45Speaker 1: if you're doing it in small batches. Right, this is
- 23:49Speaker 1: a small batch. If you're doing it at your home,
- 23:52Speaker 1: in your backyard, you still have to have the byproducts
- 23:55Speaker 1: to make the biofuel, which they don't have. That is
- 23:59Speaker 1: also a major problem. This isn't what you would refer
- 24:04Speaker 1: to as a totally empty gesture. It is an empty gesture.
- 24:14Speaker 1: He knows and the White House knows that the majority
- 24:17Speaker 1: of Americans ninety nine point nine have absolutely no way
- 24:22Speaker 1: to do biofuels at home. So telling me to go
- 24:27Speaker 1: create my own gas is one of the most arrogant,
- 24:32Speaker 1: cocky and really, I would say condescending comments that any
- 24:37Speaker 1: present could say that people in this country, when you
- 24:40Speaker 1: have inflation at a forty year high, you have gas
- 24:43Speaker 1: prices at record highs that we've never seen, with no
- 24:47Speaker 1: end in sight of it continuing to go up. During
- 24:51Speaker 1: Joe Biden's press conference at the White House, Biden actually
- 24:55Speaker 1: accused Americans of quote not doing enough on inflation, because you,
- 25:01Speaker 1: as an American, are not focused. So let's go through
- 25:03Speaker 1: the blame game here. He has blamed Trump, he has
- 25:07Speaker 1: blamed COVID, he has blamed Putin, He's blamed the GOP,
- 25:11Speaker 1: the ultra extreme Maga. Right, he went on a tirade
- 25:16Speaker 1: about the Maga party, right, the evil Maga people in inflation.
- 25:21Speaker 1: And then if that's not enough, this is what he says.
- 25:24Speaker 1: He said, Americans think I am not doing enough on inflation, Well,
- 25:27Speaker 1: that's just because they are not focused. You as Americans
- 25:31Speaker 1: are not focused. Take a listen. Number two, I think
- 25:35Speaker 1: that you know it's they're not focused. They're all they're
- 25:40Speaker 1: focused on, understandably, is the problem they're facing. They get
- 25:45Speaker 1: a five and a half percent raise in average rays
- 25:47Speaker 1: in their salaries and yet inflation exceeds that. And they
- 25:51Speaker 1: look around the world and they know that a lot
- 25:54Speaker 1: of it's extremely complicated, and so they're frustrated. And I
- 25:58Speaker 1: don't blame them, but you're not focused. All right, you're
- 26:02Speaker 1: not focused. You need to focus up. You're hurt right now?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Then focus you. The American people, they are not focused.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I really don't blame them. There's a lot we have
- 26:13Speaker 1: to do. And but you know as well, I shouldn't
- 26:16Speaker 1: say you. I think what I have to do is
- 26:20Speaker 1: explain in simple, straightforward language what's going on. I reason
- 26:26Speaker 1: why thirty percent in front of all right, So now
- 26:28Speaker 1: you're dumb, I guess is that what he's saying, like you,
- 26:31Speaker 1: the American people are, I gotta I gotta dumb it
- 26:33Speaker 1: down for you in simple terms. Number One, you're not focused,
- 26:36Speaker 1: So you need to focus, pay attention. Maybe you need
- 26:39Speaker 1: to start spending. Last, you need to start hunkering down
- 26:41Speaker 1: a little bit. Okay, you're not focused, so you need
- 26:45Speaker 1: to focus up. And two I'll dumb it down for
- 26:48Speaker 1: you because clearly you guys don't understand how complex this
- 26:52Speaker 1: issue is. Right, this is really on you, the American people.
- 26:56Speaker 1: You are not focused enough. Placing last year is because
- 27:01Speaker 1: autobills cost more. Why did they cost more? They couldn't
- 27:03Speaker 1: get the computer chips to make them. People are making
- 27:06Speaker 1: a lot more money. You wanted to buy them. People
- 27:09Speaker 1: were making a lot more money. You want to go
- 27:11Speaker 1: buy in your car. Maybe you shouldn't. I think that's
- 27:13Speaker 1: what he's saying. Maybe maybe you shouldn't buy that car.
- 27:16Speaker 1: In fact, maybe you should just stop buying anything. Maybe
- 27:19Speaker 1: you should just sit down and shut up a little bit.
- 27:23Speaker 1: You got a southern border that's underseige. You got a Biden,
- 27:27Speaker 1: a drug problem with fetto in this country like we've
- 27:29Speaker 1: never seen before. And you got the White House Presecretary
- 27:33Speaker 1: Jen Saki today saying, well, Joe Biden is the president.
- 27:35Speaker 1: We don't control all branches of government. We don't. Are
- 27:38Speaker 1: you guys are in charge of the House, Are you
- 27:39Speaker 1: guys are in charge of the Senate? So that's your
- 27:42Speaker 1: other alibi what the President's done is taken steps to
- 27:46Speaker 1: address both of those uh enormous, enormous challenges and tried
- 27:52Speaker 1: to put forward solutions to them. We'll leave it to
- 27:55Speaker 1: the Federal Reserve, outside economists, inside economists to make other
- 27:59Speaker 1: projections on it's next. They've already made projections about when
- 28:02Speaker 1: they expect inflation to come down. As he noted today,
- 28:05Speaker 1: he is the president. We do control all forms of
- 28:07Speaker 1: branches of government. That's why he laid out very clearly
- 28:10Speaker 1: what he'll continue to do as president to bring down prices.
- 28:13Speaker 1: There it is so, but we don't control all branches
- 28:16Speaker 1: of government. Wait, who's in charge of the House Democrats? Okay,
- 28:19Speaker 1: will you control that one? You'd think there'd be a
- 28:22Speaker 1: follow up question for the White House Press going hold
- 28:24Speaker 1: on a second, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa whoa? Hold on
- 28:27Speaker 1: just for a moment here, can you please calm down
- 28:30Speaker 1: and explain something to do us right? Business insider by
- 28:35Speaker 1: the way, Lopez said, the Biden administration knew the inflation
- 28:37Speaker 1: was a problem early last year, and quote they did
- 28:40Speaker 1: not do enough to fix it early on MSNBC even
- 28:44Speaker 1: admitting this. The New York Times, writing an article this morning,
- 28:47Speaker 1: saying consumer prices are climbing rapidly, but increases are likely
- 28:51Speaker 1: to moderate as they're trying to tell you, but it's
- 28:53Speaker 1: gonna be okay. Quote, the increases are now being measured
- 28:57Speaker 1: against high price readings from last ring when inflation began
- 29:01Speaker 1: to take instead of depressed twenty twenty levels. That higher
- 29:05Speaker 1: base makes annual increases look less severe. In this administration
- 29:09Speaker 1: knew it was coming. They went on to say, accept
- 29:12Speaker 1: their paycheck. Yeah, and Lynette mean well. The New York
- 29:15Speaker 1: Times pointed out this morning about how price increases are
- 29:19Speaker 1: being measured, saying, quote, increases are now being measured against
- 29:24Speaker 1: high price readings from last spring, when inflation began to
- 29:27Speaker 1: take off, instead of depressed twenty twenty levels. That higher
- 29:31Speaker 1: base makes annual increases look less severe. President Joe Biden
- 29:37Speaker 1: will visit a farm in Illinois to announce steps the
- 29:39Speaker 1: administration is taking the lower the cost of farming and food.
- 29:42Speaker 1: What exactly does that mean? In other words, is there
- 29:45Speaker 1: something going on with how the numbers are being read?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Or is this normal? I love this right? Well, maybe
- 29:52Speaker 1: it's just how you're reading the numbers. Let's insult the
- 29:55Speaker 1: farmer's intelligence now and say, well, maybe you guys that
- 29:59Speaker 1: the farm aren't real reading the numbers the right way.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Maybe things really aren't that bad. Maybe things are okay. O.
- 30:08Speaker 1: What they're saying is that because we've had this inflationary
- 30:11Speaker 1: problem for so long, the year over first are a
- 30:19Speaker 1: big number on top of a big number, which is
- 30:21Speaker 1: why it feels even worse than it actually is. That's
- 30:26Speaker 1: that's all that means. And so the government started talking
- 30:31Speaker 1: about fighting inflation early last year. They knew it was
- 30:35Speaker 1: a problem, but the problem just became more and more
- 30:39Speaker 1: complicated with the war in ukra In and with China
- 30:44Speaker 1: being and now I mean the court at Shanghai is
- 30:48Speaker 1: just absolutely clogged with ship with goods that have not
- 30:51Speaker 1: been able to make it here to the United States,
- 30:54Speaker 1: and China is having the same problem with mobility within
- 30:56Speaker 1: the country that we are having. So what was already
- 31:00Speaker 1: known to be a problem that we, you know, and
- 31:03Speaker 1: we fed watchers and people in the government that would
- 31:06Speaker 1: only last for as long as we were getting out
- 31:08Speaker 1: of our COVID misery, it's actually been prolonged because of
- 31:12Speaker 1: these geopolitical issues, and so what we thought was once
- 31:17Speaker 1: going to be a transitory thing is even stickier and
- 31:20Speaker 1: that makes it even more important that the Fed start.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I just got to jump in here. This is MSNBC,
- 31:27Speaker 1: and this is when they're they're starting to sound like
- 31:29Speaker 1: Joe Biden. So you're admitting that Joe Biden knew over
- 31:33Speaker 1: a year ago that inflation was a problem under his
- 31:36Speaker 1: administration and they didn't do enough to stop it a
- 31:39Speaker 1: year ago. Then it got worse, they say, And then
- 31:42Speaker 1: they try to blame it on China, They try to
- 31:44Speaker 1: blame it on COVID, they try to blame it on
- 31:46Speaker 1: on all of these other issues. But they knew over
- 31:49Speaker 1: a year ago it was going to be a problem
- 31:52Speaker 1: and they didn't do enough to stop it. Then that's
- 31:54Speaker 1: what they are saying. And then they're like, well, but
- 31:57Speaker 1: but it's not as bad as you think it is, Okay,
- 31:59Speaker 1: So when does it actually get bad? That's that's what
- 32:02Speaker 1: I want to know, right I go back to when
- 32:06Speaker 1: people will finally break with you, And I think this
- 32:10Speaker 1: is the perfect way to sum up the insanity of
- 32:12Speaker 1: this administration right now and why you shouldn't fall for
- 32:15Speaker 1: any of this crap. Let's go back to the baby
- 32:19Speaker 1: formula issue. There is a shortage of baby formula in America.
- 32:25Speaker 1: In my lifetime. We have never had this issue. There
- 32:29Speaker 1: are ways that this administration could fix this problem very quickly. Right.
- 32:34Speaker 1: This is not something that is hard to do. This,
- 32:37Speaker 1: this is a major problem. Now the White House is saying, well,
- 32:41Speaker 1: we're working with the FDA on this issue, right, We're
- 32:43Speaker 1: working on it to address this problem. The President didn't
- 32:47Speaker 1: mention this problem yesterday at all. Well, let me first say,
- 32:50Speaker 1: as you know, but the FDA issue to recall to
- 32:53Speaker 1: ensure that they are meeting their obligation to protect the
- 32:56Speaker 1: health of Americans, including the babies who, of course we're
- 32:59Speaker 1: receiving or taking this formula, and a sure safe products
- 33:02Speaker 1: are available. That's their job. Ensuring the availability of these
- 33:06Speaker 1: products is also a priority for the FDA, and they're
- 33:09Speaker 1: working around the clock to address any possible shortage. Okay
- 33:14Speaker 1: are they Are they really working around the clock? Because
- 33:18Speaker 1: a newborn mother says that she's panicking over the shortage,
- 33:24Speaker 1: and she says the government's doing nothing to address her problem.
- 33:27Speaker 1: June Care. Have they worries if she'll have enough milk
- 33:29Speaker 1: to feed her eleven week old daughter, Honey June. A
- 33:32Speaker 1: shortage of baby formula has mothers scrambling to ensure their
- 33:36Speaker 1: newborns are well fed. I mean, I am panicking a
- 33:39Speaker 1: little just in case I have to formula feeder because
- 33:43Speaker 1: there's no formula available. But I'm going to try and
- 33:47Speaker 1: breast sweet her as long as I can. The outest
- 33:50Speaker 1: stock rate for baby formula nationwide is soaring now at
- 33:53Speaker 1: forty percent, according to Product Pricing firm Data Assembly. When
- 33:58Speaker 1: asked what she'd do if the shells remain empty, Kiavi said,
- 34:01Speaker 1: we'd go back to the old school way of evaporative milk.
- 34:05Speaker 1: But pediatricians don't advise that. In fact, they see mothers
- 34:09Speaker 1: shouldn't feed their babies other types of milk, including almond
- 34:12Speaker 1: soy and goats milk, because it's not milk, right. We
- 34:16Speaker 1: just allow people ly and tell you that it is. Right.
- 34:19Speaker 1: There's there's milk, and then there's these other things like
- 34:21Speaker 1: soy juice. It's not milk. We call it milk to
- 34:24Speaker 1: make you feel better about birching it. And they're saying,
- 34:26Speaker 1: don't get that to your kids. Baby formulas shortage should
- 34:31Speaker 1: be on top of Biden's a list of things to address.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Tuger Carlson said it this way. I mean, if you
- 34:37Speaker 1: were running and I don't want to make it plug necessarily.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But if you were running the country, whoever you were,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and you're facing you know, multiple crises at once, Ukraine
- 34:44Speaker 1: or whatever, short of baby formula in your own country,
- 34:47Speaker 1: that have to be pretty close to the top of
- 34:50Speaker 1: the list, wouldn't it. I would think so. But I
- 34:54Speaker 1: mean understand that there are other things that aren't bigger news.
- 34:59Speaker 1: But for mom's across the country, I know that this
- 35:01Speaker 1: is a big issue and should be big news. Let
- 35:04Speaker 1: me tell you, when we had our twins, I can't
- 35:07Speaker 1: imagine the stress of a newborn, the stress of everything
- 35:11Speaker 1: comes with it, and then not knowing if you're going
- 35:14Speaker 1: to even be able to get baby formula, and the
- 35:18Speaker 1: President didn't mention it, is it a crisis? By the
- 35:22Speaker 1: way they're saying it's a crisis. The news media is
- 35:26Speaker 1: saying it's a crisis, not me, But it's because it
- 35:29Speaker 1: really is. Going to any store and look at baby
- 35:31Speaker 1: formula shoves, They're empty. The shortage, fueled by supply chain
- 35:34Speaker 1: issues and recent recalls, is leaving stuff at local diaper
- 35:38Speaker 1: banks like Baby's Bounty feeling helpless. It's a crisis situation
- 35:42Speaker 1: right now. Executive director Kelly Maxwell says, She's getting dozens
- 35:46Speaker 1: of calls from frantic parents every week to each day.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Folks would come by picking up a can, two cans,
- 35:53Speaker 1: and now we're nearly empty. It's a crisis, a crisis
- 35:59Speaker 1: that you would think the white Out would be able
- 36:00Speaker 1: to focus on. Tucker Carlson said, baby formula shortage should
- 36:04Speaker 1: be on top of the Biden's list to address in
- 36:06Speaker 1: this country, but apparently it's not because they can't even
- 36:09Speaker 1: get this right right. They would rather go after Supreme
- 36:12Speaker 1: Court justices in their homes. They would rather go after
- 36:16Speaker 1: people that are out there at the Spring Court with
- 36:18Speaker 1: Roe v. Wade. They would rather focus on Ukraine. They
- 36:21Speaker 1: would rather attack the GOP claiming that we're the problem
- 36:24Speaker 1: with inflation. They would rather talk about you making biofuel
- 36:30Speaker 1: at home than the price of four fifty a gallon
- 36:33Speaker 1: gas and five fifty five a gallon gas for diesel
- 36:36Speaker 1: right now in America, they have no idea what they're doing,
- 36:40Speaker 1: and this present can't even focus on a simple issue
- 36:43Speaker 1: like a baby formula shortage. I will say this, where's
- 36:46Speaker 1: the vice present a woman? Isn't this a women's issue?
- 36:50Speaker 1: Isn't this a definition of a feminist issue? Where's the
- 36:54Speaker 1: first lady. Why isn't she saying I'm gonna be the
- 36:57Speaker 1: baby formula tsar. Why isn't she come out and said,
- 37:01Speaker 1: I'm on top of this. The first ladies on top
- 37:03Speaker 1: of this. As mothers, as women, we understand this issue.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Joe Biden predicted food shortages and now they're here. Baby
- 37:10Speaker 1: formula very hard to find in case you haven't tried. Recently,
- 37:14Speaker 1: Fox Business is reporting that the largest retail tailors in
- 37:17Speaker 1: the country are now rationing the product. Watch In Georgia,
- 37:21Speaker 1: Amy Thorne is two weeks away from being out of
- 37:24Speaker 1: her son's hard to find baby formula. It's a real
- 37:27Speaker 1: problem for moms and especially mothers like myself who have
- 37:32Speaker 1: adopted our children the problem or isn't. Following a recent
- 37:35Speaker 1: formula recall and continued supply chain issues, I started looking
- 37:39Speaker 1: online and when I noticed online was there was a
- 37:42Speaker 1: lot of limitations or caps to the number of things
- 37:45Speaker 1: that you could order. The country's two largest retailers told
- 37:48Speaker 1: Fox News they're limiting customers to three baby formula products
- 37:53Speaker 1: per purchase. Any president of the United States of America,
- 37:59Speaker 1: regardless of parties, should be able to look at this
- 38:01Speaker 1: and go I can fix this. Problem. Right, we're the
- 38:04Speaker 1: United States of America. I can figure out how to
- 38:07Speaker 1: get baby formula on the shelves. That's something I can accomplish. First, Lady,
- 38:13Speaker 1: you get involved, Vice President, you get involved. You guys
- 38:18Speaker 1: are going to fix this problem. Ready, set go. They
- 38:23Speaker 1: can't even do that. What makes you think they can
- 38:26Speaker 1: fix the economy hyper inflation? What makes you think so
- 38:29Speaker 1: they can fix the problem in Ukraine? What makes you
- 38:32Speaker 1: think watching and witnessing what I just told you that
- 38:35Speaker 1: they can fix your pain at the pump? Five dollars
- 38:39Speaker 1: and fifty cent unletted average gas five or excuse me,
- 38:43Speaker 1: four fifty unletted five fifty five for diesel, and the
- 38:48Speaker 1: number is gonna keep going up, not down. It's up
- 38:50Speaker 1: like seventeen cents over yesterday. Don't worry, though, it's really
- 38:54Speaker 1: Donald Trump's fault. We don't know how. And if that
- 38:56Speaker 1: doesn't if that doesn't sell you, that's how stupid they
- 38:58Speaker 1: think you are. Then put and if that doesn't work,
- 39:01Speaker 1: then we'll blame COVID. And if that doesn't work, well,
- 39:04Speaker 1: then you're an idiot, right, I guess that's what they're saying.
- 39:07Speaker 1: So it's your fault. Really, don't forget it's your fault.
