- 1:41Speaker 7: To turn the mout turn. You probably got to turn mouth,
- 1:46Speaker 7: turn the water of the mony up.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Looking, come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 6: You think that I sure will come rnit.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Everybody you're listening to the voice, come on, dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 2: one and only. Steve Harvey, I got a radio show.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Somebody sent me an email one day that, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 2: kind of a nasty little email. You know, I think
- 2:20Speaker 2: I said it once before, Steve Harvey trying to be
- 2:22Speaker 2: a preacher.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Man.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I'm so far from being a preacher. Man, I can't
- 2:26Speaker 2: even tell you. But what I am trying to do
- 2:29Speaker 2: is share information.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:31Speaker 6: I understand how haters work, and I understand how the
- 2:33Speaker 6: devil work. Believe me, I do you know, sometimes even
- 2:40Speaker 6: he the devil.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Surprises me at the level and the angles of attack
- 2:46Speaker 2: they use, you know which I go, wow, man, I
- 2:49Speaker 2: didn't see that one. Ooh, that was pretty slick. Gotta
- 2:52Speaker 2: get hit credit on that. We try to get me.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But every time you try to get me, I get saved.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I get saved every time time, man, because because God
- 3:03Speaker 2: got me, God got some angels camped around me. That's
- 3:08Speaker 2: what my mama used to always say as Sunday school teacher.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Never really understood it, but you know when I was
- 3:13Speaker 2: growing up as a kid, but I got it.
- 3:14Speaker 6: Now.
- 3:15Speaker 2: He got some angels around me. And angels come in
- 3:18Speaker 2: to form sometimes of people, people who pull your coat
- 3:22Speaker 2: to this, or introduce you to that, or reveal some
- 3:25Speaker 2: information to you like this. He got them all around me.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So see, having a relationship with God has been beneficial
- 3:33Speaker 2: to me, y'all. It's not just that what he gives
- 3:38Speaker 2: to me, but what he protects me from. And you know,
- 3:46Speaker 2: some some people wonder, well, if you were God, why
- 3:48Speaker 2: he let them people do that to you. Now, that's
- 3:51Speaker 2: not how it works. See, there's two forces in this world,
- 3:54Speaker 2: as good and as evil. And if you succumb to good,
- 3:57Speaker 2: that's what you become, that's what you do. But everybody
- 4:00Speaker 2: don't succumb to good. Some people succumb to evil. Some
- 4:03Speaker 2: people's mission is to hate, to destroy, to tear down,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and so that force is at work in this world. Too,
- 4:11Speaker 2: and when that force comes up against me. What God
- 4:15Speaker 2: never promised me that I wouldn't see none of that,
- 4:19Speaker 2: that I wouldn't see the attacks, that I would not
- 4:22Speaker 2: come under fire, that I would not be falsely accused.
- 4:25Speaker 6: He didn't say that. Matter of fact, he forewarned me
- 4:27Speaker 6: that it would happen.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Or what he does give me in those moments are
- 4:33Speaker 2: moments of comfort and peace, knowing that He's with me,
- 4:36Speaker 2: and no matter what my enemy does to bring me down,
- 4:40Speaker 2: it ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 6: It ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So come if you want to fight, if you will,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I have a man that has been attacking me since
- 4:51Speaker 2: I owned the comedy club in Dallas. He has been
- 4:55Speaker 2: on a mission and that if I don't give him
- 5:00Speaker 2: five million dollars, he gonna do it. He hadn't done everything, man,
- 5:04Speaker 2: he has done everything. Now you've a mess around and
- 5:08Speaker 2: got hisself now claiming in his letters physically ill and
- 5:13Speaker 2: his illnesses and what's befalling his family.
- 5:17Speaker 6: He's blaming that on me too.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Had Steve Harvey not stressed me out and paid me
- 5:22Speaker 2: this money he owe me, well, where were you were
- 5:25Speaker 2: you coming with this? He just has kept on and
- 5:28Speaker 2: on and on and you know what, he a mess around,
- 5:31Speaker 2: got hisself sick. He messed around, man, got himself in
- 5:35Speaker 2: some situation. And can I tell you something that's been
- 5:38Speaker 2: going on since nine teen? Uh, maybe ninety seven. He
- 5:48Speaker 2: started the attack when I first went on, No before that,
- 5:54Speaker 2: probably ninety five. He started the attacks in ninety five.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Every now and then he didne got six lawyers. All
- 6:02Speaker 2: the lawyers don't drop the case after they come in
- 6:05Speaker 2: and they discover the fact. But he steadied trying. But
- 6:09Speaker 2: it's to my angels that's around me. And I forewarned
- 6:12Speaker 2: him several times. Man, And man, if I was you,
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'd go ahead on because what I'm not gonna do
- 6:16Speaker 2: is being because see, you cannot break me. Because I
- 6:21Speaker 2: happened to be a soldier for Christ. I happen to
- 6:24Speaker 2: be an imperfect soldier for Christ as nothing, man as nothing.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And oh it ain't like a bunch of people and tried. Now,
- 6:34Speaker 2: Oh y'all been on YouTube, y'all been on the internet.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Oh they done tried. Oh they don't put some dirt
- 6:40Speaker 2: on me. Man, that ain't true. But if you keep
- 6:43Speaker 2: looking at me though, and I am not surprised, but
- 6:47Speaker 2: if you put your eyes on God, it's where you go.
- 6:49Speaker 6: But if you look at me, He's covering me through
- 6:51Speaker 6: it all.
- 6:52Speaker 2: And that's been the importance of the relationship I form
- 6:55Speaker 2: with God, is that I know that I'm under his wings,
- 7:00Speaker 2: that I'm ever under his ever loving protection, that he
- 7:03Speaker 2: got me.
- 7:05Speaker 6: And I just wanted to share that with you that
- 7:07Speaker 6: if you got.
- 7:08Speaker 2: If you're looking for some protection, if you're looking for
- 7:12Speaker 2: a way to have the strength to get through what
- 7:14Speaker 2: you're going through, get some God man. If you want
- 7:20Speaker 2: a weigh out, get some god man. If you've been
- 7:23Speaker 2: gang banging and you're sick of gang banging, get you
- 7:26Speaker 2: some god man. If you tired of being on drugs
- 7:29Speaker 2: and you tied of drinking, get you some God man.
- 7:32Speaker 2: If you're tired of being if you're sick and tired

- 7:39Speaker 2: If you're trying to make your dreams come true and

- 8:25Speaker 2: See a lot of times we go to God asking
- 8:28Speaker 2: for prayers and stuff, but we go to him and

- 53:44Speaker 6: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter,
- 53:47Speaker 6: thanking of you.
- 53:48Speaker 5: Subjects he went missing and magically reappeared. You're Stephen Shirley.
- 53:53Speaker 5: I'm married to a drunk, plain and simple. I have
- 53:57Speaker 5: dealt with him for nine years and it's not always
- 53:59Speaker 5: bad and we do have fun family times with our
- 54:02Speaker 5: seven year old. My husband has tried to stop drinking
- 54:05Speaker 5: a few times, and he got ashamed when we could
- 54:08Speaker 5: not stay. When he could not stay sober, he went
- 54:11Speaker 5: to stay with his brother for a few days so
- 54:13Speaker 5: he could get himself together. He avoided my calls, so
- 54:16Speaker 5: I would call his brother to make sure he was okay.
- 54:19Speaker 5: He also skipped work, so I had to call his
- 54:22Speaker 5: boss and make up a lie so he wouldn't get fired.
- 54:25Speaker 1: He did that four years ago.
- 54:27Speaker 5: After that, he only drank on special occasions and I
- 54:30Speaker 5: helped him keep afore drink maximum. That didn't last but
- 54:34Speaker 5: one year, and he started back being a functional drunk.
- 54:37Speaker 5: He can keep a job, do sports with our son,
- 54:40Speaker 5: and take care of most of his stuff, but I
- 54:42Speaker 5: have to deal with the crankiness and constant mood swings
- 54:46Speaker 5: with him. We went to an anniversary party in October
- 54:50Speaker 5: and he had a lot of champagne. When we were dancing,
- 54:54Speaker 5: he was kissing all on my breasts and grinding on me.
- 54:58Speaker 5: I went and sat down and tim on the dance floor.
- 55:01Speaker 5: He made a big scene and started yelling that his
- 55:04Speaker 5: own wife hates him. I left with my cousin and
- 55:07Speaker 5: his wife and one of my husband's friends said he
- 55:12Speaker 5: would bring him home.
- 55:13Speaker 1: But he never came home.
- 55:14Speaker 5: He didn't call, he didn't come get any clothes, and
- 55:17Speaker 5: he wasn't at his brother's house.
- 55:19Speaker 1: This time.
- 55:20Speaker 5: I called his job and he was going to work,
- 55:22Speaker 5: so I knew he was alive. His friends advised me
- 55:26Speaker 5: to give him some more time, give him time, and
- 55:29Speaker 5: to stop trying to find him. This made me even
- 55:31Speaker 5: more anxious, because wherever he was, he was eating, and
- 55:35Speaker 5: he had clothes. How can he magically reappear after two
- 55:39Speaker 5: weeks without any explanation? Am I crazy to still be
- 55:43Speaker 5: with him after this? There's nothing magical about any of this,
- 55:48Speaker 5: nothing magical about it.
- 55:50Speaker 1: He was drunk.
- 55:51Speaker 5: You left him at the party because of it, and
- 55:53Speaker 5: he had someone else, a woman. I'm sure willing to
- 55:56Speaker 5: take him in because it wasn't his brother this time,
- 55:58Speaker 5: you said, and take care of him.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Your husband's an alcoholic, you said it.
- 56:02Speaker 5: The alcohol makes him do crazy things, stuff like embarrassing
- 56:06Speaker 5: you on the dance floor, and because he had too
- 56:08Speaker 5: much to drink that night, he lost it and started
- 56:11Speaker 5: yelling at you at the party. You walked off, and
- 56:14Speaker 5: he said you hated him, No, you hated his drunkenness
- 56:19Speaker 5: and how he was acting. You were sick of his
- 56:21Speaker 5: drunk behavior at that point and wanted out of the party.
- 56:25Speaker 5: His friend said he would bring him home, so you
- 56:27Speaker 5: knew he would be safe, and you let the party
- 56:30Speaker 5: and got out of there. You thought he would come
- 56:32Speaker 5: home later, But a whole two weeks went by and
- 56:35Speaker 5: you never heard from him. The only way you knew
- 56:38Speaker 5: he was alive, you said, is because you called his job. Well,
- 56:41Speaker 5: that is way too long not to hear from your husband.
- 56:45Speaker 5: He messed up big time this time. So what did
- 56:48Speaker 5: he say when he came back?
- 56:49Speaker 4: You said?
- 56:49Speaker 1: He offered no explanation, just nothing.
- 56:52Speaker 5: So an answer to your question, I would say, yes,
- 56:55Speaker 5: you would be crazy to stay with him after this.
- 56:57Speaker 1: He's not going to change.
- 56:58Speaker 5: It's been nine years of you being married to a drunk.
- 57:02Speaker 5: Plain and simple, Steve, this is a very very.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Easy letter because he's given me no reason to fight
- 57:12Speaker 2: for him. This man has zero redeeming qualities as of
- 57:20Speaker 2: right now, because the thing that's in his life that's
- 57:25Speaker 2: most prevalent is the drinking. You're married to a drunk.
- 57:30Speaker 2: You're married to an alcoholic who needs help people who
- 57:36Speaker 2: are alcoholics need help, and help is available. But help
- 57:41Speaker 2: only works when the person who is the alcoholic wants help.
- 57:48Speaker 6: That's it.
- 57:49Speaker 2: You can't want it for them. You can't want a
- 57:53Speaker 2: person to stop drinking more than them. If they don't
- 57:57Speaker 2: want to stop drinking, you're fighting. I've had this in
- 58:02Speaker 2: my life before. Nobody I was married to, of course,
- 58:06Speaker 2: but I've had family members that was a full blown alcoholic.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Your husband's tried to stop drinking a few times. He
- 58:13Speaker 2: got ashamed when he could not sober up. He he
- 58:17Speaker 2: he he need help, He need help, just a real problem.
- 58:21Speaker 2: This is an addiction. You got to go get help.
- 58:25Speaker 2: If he couldn't stop, he'd have been stopped. He wouldn't
- 58:27Speaker 2: stay with his brother for a few days so he
- 58:29Speaker 2: could get hisself together. He avoided my calls, so I
- 58:31Speaker 2: would call his brother to make sure he was okay.
- 58:34Speaker 2: He also skipped work, so I had to find call
- 58:37Speaker 2: his boss and make up a live so he wouldn't
- 58:39Speaker 2: get fired.
- 58:40Speaker 6: What you tell him he was in the hospital in coma.
- 58:42Speaker 6: What did you do?
- 58:42Speaker 2: Which one did you use? Because that's a good one.
- 58:45Speaker 2: He's in the hospital in the coma out of state,
- 58:48Speaker 2: so they can't call around to check local hospital because
- 58:51Speaker 2: anybody got tired to guess what city he is in hospitals?
- 58:57Speaker 6: So now he did that four years ago.
- 59:00Speaker 2: I listened to this after that, he only drank on
- 59:02Speaker 2: special occasions, and I helped him keep a foul drink minimum.
- 59:09Speaker 6: That's too damn high.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Four drinks usually usually trigger something in most human beings.
- 59:20Speaker 6: Four drinks, I've.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Never heard nobody try to stop by holding it down
- 59:27Speaker 2: to four drinks. One, two, maybe that, but by foe,
- 59:34Speaker 2: you can't keep counting no more. He don't stop counting,
- 59:38Speaker 2: and after four he can't count. But then, guess what
- 59:41Speaker 2: you said? He only drank on special occasions. Do you
- 59:43Speaker 2: know the problem with alcoholics, it'd.
- 59:46Speaker 6: Be a lot of occasions that's special. Oh my god,
- 59:51Speaker 6: you dropped by. Let's drink to that? Hang on all
- 59:55Speaker 6: you figuring to leave, Let's drink to that, to drink
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: to that.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Game?
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Hold, let's drink At twenty three minutes after, we'll hear
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: part two of Steve's response to today's Strawberry letter. It's
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: called he went missing and magically reappeared. We'll get back
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: into it right after this. You're listening hard Morning show,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: all right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: The subject is he went missing and magically reappeared.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: This lady lives with a functional drunk, but he is
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: an alcoholic. I haven't got to the functional part, but
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: I'll explain that to you in a minute, because I
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: know somebody just like that now alcoholics who are functioning alcoholics.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: And you actually have one. You've dealt with him for
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: nine years, and it's not always bad. We do have
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: fun family times with our seven year old. Or that
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: must be fun down there at Chucky Cheese. He can
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: go chuck E Chee because you can't drink down there.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: But as soon as he leaves Chucky Cheese, as soon
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: as he get out there Chucke Cheese. Matter of fact,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: I think he down there drinking at the Chucky Cheese.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I think he got a little something in the band. Anyway,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: that's another story. He tried to stop a couple of times,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: but he needs help.
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: He can't do it.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: He's just shamed because he can't stop. People are alcoholics
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: need real help. He went to stay with his brother
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: for a few days, who get himself together. He avoided
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: calls and have to call his brother and make sure
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: it's okay, and he quit going to work. You had
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: to call his boss and make up a lie so
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: he would lose his job. So he told his boss
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: he was in a medical coma out of state, and
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: then he'll be soon as he gets back, you'll let
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: him know. And then after that he only drank on
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: special occasions. And I helped him keep a folk drink minimum. Wow, lady,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: that you ain't helping with foul drink minimum. The folk
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: drink is usually good for most people. Two two, and
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: most people really need to go sit down somewhere after two.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Surely it won for sure. Shore Strawberry is one. She
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: can't knock in the glass of wine. Nothing, just be
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: just as ignorant when she drank. She don't get loud
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: or nothing, but she gets sleepy and she swore her speech.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Little missus Budgey I thum souther thief.
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: Who is thief?
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: Sether thie anyway.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: That didn't last long and after a year he started
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: back as a functional drunk. Now listen to me. This
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: is the key to this letter, lady, that you need
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: to know. You're realizing that he's a functional drunk. He
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: can keep a job do sports with our son and
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: take care of most of his stuff. But I have
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: to deal with the crankiness and the constant mood swings
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: with him. Went to an anniversary party in October. He
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: had a lot of champagne. When we was dancing, he
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: was kissing all on your breast and grinding him. I
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: went and sat down and left him on the dance floor.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: He made a big scene and start yelling that his
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: own wife hates him, and you do, you do, you
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: do hate him, and it's okay, But after that you
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: left with your cousband and his wife. And one of
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: my husband's friends said he would bring him home. But
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: he didn't come home. He didn't call, he didn't get
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: any clothes, and he wasn't at his brother's house.
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: This time.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: I called his job and he was going to work,
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: so I knew he was alive. His friends advised me
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: to give him some time and stop trying to find
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: him because they know where he at. This made me
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: even more anxious because wherever he was, he was eating
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: and he had clothes. Remember what you said back in
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: the letter. He's a functional drunk.
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: He knows what he's doing and he knows how to
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: do it, so quit being anxious.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Take the drunk out of it. He's just functional. He
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: used a drinking as his excuse to you. So wherever
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: he was at, he was eating, and he had clothes.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: How can he magically reappear after two weeks? It wasn't magic.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: He just walked in the door.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: That's not a magic crick. He just came wrong.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: But two weeks without any explanation? Am I crazy to
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: still be with him after that?
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: Yes?
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: You're crazy? Yes, you crazy, and it's something wrong with you.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: It's no way a man can disappear from a woman.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: He's in a relationship with a relationship, Let lone marry.
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: You can't ghost your girlfriend for two weeks.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: And if you met a girl and y'all had eight
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: conversations on the phone and you told each other you
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: cared about each other, you can't ghost for two weeks
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: and then show up without no explanation. How is he
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: going to sleep in that house? You ought to be
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: sitting on the bed, just shaking him on the shoulder
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: every time you roll over. Hey, where you being? We
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: need to talk about this two weeks now? Who house
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: you been over? Where you get clothed from?
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: What?
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: Was you eating? Who took care of you?
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: So?
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: Yeah, you crazy for being with him.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Because he ain't explaining nothing to you, because he has
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: no explanation, because he's a functional drunk.
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: He's functioning just fine for two weeks without you.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: When you gonna learn stop trying to find the good
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: times in this. We have fun family times with our
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: seven year.
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: That's a chuckie cheese when you ain't down there? What
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: hell y'all doing? And y'all marriage make me sick?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: On today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: At Steve Murphy at them and check us out on
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: the Strawberry Letter podcast on the Free iHeartRadio app where
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: free never sounded so good. Coming up next to the
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: Junior and Sports Talk right after this you're listening.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Morning show. It is time now for Junior and Sports Talk.
- 1:06:38Speaker 9: What you got Junior, I'll call of you was right girl,
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: I'm telling you right now. The NBA is on the investigation.
- 1:06:44Speaker 9: Oh my goodness, oh my NBA. You guys him explaining
- 1:06:48Speaker 9: to do yes, it has been filed. The United States
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: Department of Justice is investigating the National Basketball Association for
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: anti trust violations against ice tubes.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Big come off.
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: I'll tell than you and listen what they're guilty of.
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: They are guilty for using their power and their position
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: to to get sponsors not to work with them, and
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: televisions not to showcase their games.
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: This is what they have been up to.
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: Now if they are found guilty of this, they're gonna
- 1:07:15Speaker 9: have a hefty fine to pay for that.
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: But you when you say sponsors, you talk.
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: About like Nike, Adidas, Rebox, You start talking about TV,
- 1:07:23Speaker 9: You talking about ESPN, t N T those stations.
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: No Q they hate no Q, yes, and the Big
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: three three allegedly, let's just a Q.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: You know what?
- 1:07:40Speaker 7: Heres another thing too.
- 1:07:41Speaker 9: It was also said that Adam Silver discouraged owners who
- 1:07:45Speaker 9: already owned NBA teams for even going over there to
- 1:07:48Speaker 9: the Big Three to even help with the building of
- 1:07:50Speaker 9: the franchise.
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: So he said, look, if you're on the NBA team problem,
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: Oh man, hey man, he the commissioner. So yeah, you
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: know Q, We we hear you, dog. And this is
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: absolutely true.
- 1:08:01Speaker 9: But if you taking the money for the TV rights
- 1:08:04Speaker 9: to showcase this game from CBE and then you taking
- 1:08:07Speaker 9: the sponsor, how is this man supposed to make some money?
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: See that?
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Did the pros play though? Did the NBA pros play
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: in the Big No, the.
- 1:08:14Speaker 9: NBA knows don't play. All of these are retired over time. Yeah,
- 1:08:19Speaker 9: but that's the problem there.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: NBA players see n b A don't want to give
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: the money away they keep.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: They keep it in the n b A.
- 1:08:28Speaker 9: So we understand Cube, I hear you, man, But that's
- 1:08:31Speaker 9: just crazy, man, Like I think CB should just go
- 1:08:34Speaker 9: over there to the NBA over the silver and just
- 1:08:36Speaker 9: start rapping no vascline.
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: Maybe you ain't hear him, Yeah you must, didn't.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Hear Cube won't with the president.
- 1:08:47Speaker 9: So yeah, it's gonna continue, man, So we're gonna have
- 1:08:52Speaker 9: to see what happens with that. But I'm telling you, man,
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: I'm just shocked that the NBA would do that, you know,
- 1:08:57Speaker 9: just to keep Ice Cube.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: Yes, how because Cube the big show even the same lane.
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: It's three on three basketball, y'all playing five on five
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: full pot if he want a half court by.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: They said they got a four point shot. They ain'tvolved
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: in nobody. They even got a game similar to y'all.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: Why is y'all messing with you?
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: You don't make no sin and don't proNT.
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: Mc rare because I remember when you drove a be
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: too ten broke up.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: You're gonna investigate union, back up the.

- 1:09:34Speaker 3: all of.

- 1:09:37Speaker 5: A woman wants to know if she should let her
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: fiance know he's coming up a bit short.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening Harvey
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve.
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: This is from two D on Steve Harby FM. Twudy says,
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: I am thirty years old and I've been with my
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: fiance for almost three years. He said if he based
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: our relationship on sex, he wouldn't be marrying me. I
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: was crushed, so I went to see my doctor and
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: asked her if I was too big down there, because
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: my fiance said that was a problem. My doctor said,
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: I'm normal size, so my fiance must be tiny. And
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: he has never been told that he's tiny. He's the
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: only guy I've ever had sex with, and I never
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: thought he might be the problem. My doctor said to
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: call him tiny the next time he insults me, should
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: I do it or not?
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: Don't know?
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I would see you say that you're gonna end up
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: leaving me. I don't know why your doctor would suggest
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: some stuff like that, but that ain't how you get
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: to it. They have surgeries now for me, and I
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: know a urologist who has surgery. Now you can get
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: with addie and you can get hang factor added.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: It's like a woman getting a BBL. They have that now.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I listened to him say the whole thing you can
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: add with and you can add hang in. Homeboy can
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: come up in there strong, like urologists told me. As
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: couples go down there together and pick out the fit
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: that they want. They had it now, so you can
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: go down there.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I mean, so she shouldn't. She shouldn't clap back.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: If it ain't nothing wrong with two D the doctor
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: that told her two do you find you normal size?
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: Homeboy ain't cutting it. He ain't got it.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Don't say that. But you can go get help. There's
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: new technology out there, guys. You can go get yourself
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: some help.
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: Okay, all right, Uh, we have time for one more Steve.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: This is from Rich and Ypsilani. He says, I've been
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: singing since I could talk, and everyone says it sound
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: just like Johnny Gill when I sing at weddings. I'm
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: forty eight years old, so I need to know if
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: I should use my savings to pursue a career in music,
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: at least to a real and send it to a
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: major recording label. I am retired military, so I have
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: time on my hands and the money to do it.
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: How old is too old to pursue a dream? Would
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: I be wasting my money?
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Well, you just use a couple of terms that doesn't exist.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Tom On, I'm gonna make it real?
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: What dog?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Don't nobody make that? Nobody makes you sis a real
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: send to you know, just emailing the PDF file or
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: something like that, but don't do and you send a system. Now,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: let me say this here. Everybody told you you sound.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Let's get that part mind.
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: You see, listen to me. Listen to him?
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Dog, did you hear what you said? You forty eight
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: and your best gig so far has been wedged? I
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: don't know if you noticed, but there are not a
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: lot of weddings that you get invited to to say. Now,
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I'm not in the dream crushing business, but things can happen.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: They don't give record deals to forty eight year old people.
- 1:13:09Speaker 6: I'm just saying they don't.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: But there are so many ways to make it in
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: music right now because of the Internet, most of these
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: guys now is self published.
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: So go on to self published music though.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: But you.
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: You know your ex military, you know happy? Yeah, see,
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: I ain't.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: Finna do all that because that ain't going to let
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: us out. Okay, yeah, I ain't finna thank him for
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: a service.
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: And I don't know what he did.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I don't know what he was doing anythday.
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: Your left, your lift, your left, right and left.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: That's not singing though, So you singing in the military,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: what what that meant? Get them body and buy your head?
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: See that ain't that?
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: Ain't say it though, So I ain't trying to destroy
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: your dreams.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: But sure sounds like it.
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: Well okay, man, I table gone pursue it. Don't go ahead.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: He might sound like Johnny Gill. But minutes after the
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: hour we'll have more understand We get Johnny right after this.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: We're getting in the holiday spirit, of course, and there's
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: a new trend for some but Steve, I think you've
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: been doing this for a while at your house. Studies
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: show that only one Christmas tree just isn't enough this year,
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: and homeowners plan to fill their homes with multiple Christmas trees.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Dey core experts wad in and agree that the Christmas
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: joy needs to be spread beyond just.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: The living room.
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: Trees belong all over your home, like in the bedroom
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: places like that. So so my question to you is
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: do you agree with this? And how many trees are
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: you guys gonna put up this year?
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: Yeah, couldn't have your main tree, and then you can
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: have little trees. Margie's done that.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: Before we got the main tree, we would have like
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: smaller trees somewhere, maybe two, something like that.
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: I've seen. It's just festive you. This just makes you
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: feel good all over. It's just once a year, you know.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: But if you can't afford to get that one damn
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: tree and be quiet, damn this article, you ain't got
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: to read every article and use it.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I wish to hell my mama would have went in
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: there and told my daddy she's want two trees this year.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: We're gonna buy two damn trees for.
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: What you can.
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: Well, I wouldn't have a hard time getting on in
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: this little tight ass house now, I didn't.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: Hell, we.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Were gonna sit on porch, you know, roll on still
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: if you put it on the porch, because they gonna
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: think there's some boxes up under there, so we don't
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: need to putting.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: All right, So do what makes you feel happy and
- 1:16:13Speaker 5: in the spirit.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: We'll play around it. Would you rather right after.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: This you're listening Harvey Morning Show. Would you rather stand
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: in a t s A line for two hours? Or
- 1:16:28Speaker 5: would you rather sit in a middle coach seat which one.
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: Coach see the coach seet that's a long time. Get
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: in that line.
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: I'm finish getting, I'm sting talking to people.
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: Meeting people some time, gonna fly by sea.
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: Yeah, what I'm not fin to do is sitting in
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: that middle seat on a flight.
- 1:16:55Speaker 9: You don't feel like about the middle seat. It's that
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: elbow fight for risk fight be serious. I can't wait
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: for you to raise your home because my ea be
- 1:17:04Speaker 9: right there.
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: Soon as I got on. I want a quiet it's
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: a quiet fight, all right. But you had to sit
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: in that middle seat before. I've had to sit in there. Yeah,
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: I can't see you there. I just can't see you
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: sitting there. Not now, all right?
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: Would you rather die and die and come back as
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: a Leprechaun. Would you rather die and come back as
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: the jolly green giant.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: Y'all behind?
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: I knew y'all was goinna say that. I knew that
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: was gonna is the first thing time and timing going
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: on with that?
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: What you want to do?
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: I don't want to be dying giant. That's that's too
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: that's just too tall that you ain't gonna be.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: So you're gonna come back at yourself, No improvements. You
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: don't want another view, you don't want to see what
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: they're like up here, None of that, Junior.
- 1:18:09Speaker 7: I'm going ahead and be the leprechaun for the time.
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: I'm going to be the lepchan You that.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: Man, y'all too little shorts be over there by your dance,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Johnny Green giant step on both?
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: Oh sorry about that? All right?
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: Would you rather buy your wife five small Christmas gifts?
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: Or would you rather get her one nice, real, nice
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: big Christmas gift?
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Just one?
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: Hell? I do both of them. Hello, get the big
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: one and a bunch of small on.
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: I like it.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I like it gifts together, Yes, Steve.
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: One big one, get it over with uh value you
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: got to do?
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: I'll get the one big.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Gift, I mean seeming to tell you the danger of
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: the five little gifts. Because she opening them five, you
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: know you ain't gonna get no wild factor.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: And you got to hope she's still like you by the.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Time you'll real she gets the number five.
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: Because she keeps opening up all this. What the hell
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: is this? It ain't.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: the day on this Friday. It's been a good day. Yeah,
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: it's been a fun day. We definitely want to say
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: Happy Veterans Day to all our servicemen. Thank you for
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: us your service. Veterans Day is tomorrow Saturday. We want
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: to send women and women, right and women, you're absolutely right,
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: yes and yeah Veterans Days.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: Come out there and volunteer. You've got to be a
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: special boy, do that. So thankful for all you do.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you for all you do. And Dave,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Dave is a Veteran Day.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: Davids great and David is a prime example of what
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: can happen when you don't get help.
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: When you come home.
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: Okay, anyway, I want to thank Dave for just somehow
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: pulling his own self together, being to find individual.
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: Congratulations to days.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: So Davids having his first child to everybody, will keep
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: you posted, healthy, baby on the way.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: All right and married. Now this is his first child.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: You know, the VA said he could go on to
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: have a kid now he had completed all the test
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: Oh my god. Well, you know a couple of things
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: that happened to him when he was at war. So
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: once he got all right, he told him to go
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: ahead and have babies. They didn't let him have no
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: kids up for awhile, because they tell me, you don't
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: need to do this right now, you.
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: Need to finish these tests.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Dave saying veterans shout out.
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: Well, you know the jokes. She just didn't got to do.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: I would tell y'all something my clothes remarks today. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: was talking to a young man the other day and
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: he is in a career and he's up and coming,
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: and he talks about this career often, and every time
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: I talk to him, he's very I don't want to
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: say arrogant, but he brags a lot in me, always
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: talking about what he's gonna do. And I kind of
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: understand that because you got to kind of speak your
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: expectations into existence. But you have to be careful how
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: you phrase it. And I was just telling the young man.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: I said, hey, man, listen to get to where you
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: eventually want to go. It's a long, perilous journey. You're
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: on a quest to become successful. He said, no, no, no,
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: mister Harvey, I beg to differ. I'm already successful. I said, okay.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: He said, I only speak positivity in my life. I said, okay,
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: I understand that you're preaching to the choir. I said,
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: but I just want to give you some advice because
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: you came to me and asked me, knowing you, what
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: would I recommend to you? And I said the one
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: thing I would recommend to you is humility. I said, brother,
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: because listen to me, it's going to be really, really
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: hard to become successful. He said again, mister Harvey, I'm
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: stopping you. I'm already successful. I said, see, man, right there,
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: just right there, why would you come to me. I'm
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: double your age, plus you come to me and asked
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: me for a piece of advice, and then I give
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: you the piece of advice and you keep rejecting it.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: I said, man, humility is important, I say every day
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: of your life. You have the capacity to learn. I said, man,
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: open yourself up to learning something. Maybe you need to
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: figure out why I keep telling you about humility. He said, okay,
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Well why I got to be humble? Or why do
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: I have to practice humility? I said, man, because it's
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: it's it's a great quality to have. Nobody likes an
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: arrogant person. Nobody likes somebody who thinks who they're talking
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: to and they feel like they talking down to them.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: I say, it's humility, man, I said, what's the matter
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: with it? I said, you ain't got to flex and
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: flaunt everything you do. I say, that's the problem with
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: this society today. As soon as we do something, we
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: want to post it. As soon as we get something,
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: we want to show it. As soon as somebody say
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: something good about us, we gonna let everybody know what
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: we're doing. I said, Man, keep something to yourself. I said,
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: because bruh, it's some evid flows to this thing. The
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: journey you on, it's gonna be some ups and some downs.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: But see, you ain't gonna want to post the downs though.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: But when you're talking to a person like me, I
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: know the downs is coming because who in here and
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: who amongst us don't have ups and downs? I said, man,
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: So what I try to do is I try to
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: stay level when it's going good for me. I try
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: to stay right here when it's going bad for me,
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: I try to stay right here. I pride myself on
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: staying as level.
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: As I can.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Now do I hit the bumps in the valleys and
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: all that. Yeah, man, I'm human, but I try to
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: remain humble. And part of your humility is doing something
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: for other people. Oh, I ain't got time for that,
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: I said, brother. I said, look, man, me and you're
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: gonna have to stop talking. Men, stop asking me for advice?
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: He said, Why would I help somebody? And I ain't
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: got nothing yet. I said, wait a minute, man, didn't
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: you just tell me a minute ago you were successful?
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: I said, But see, brother, the reason you have to
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: help people is because there's a philosophy to success that
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: a lot of people try to ignore. The more people
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: you help become successful, the more successful you become. Don't
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: you understand that, I said, Bruh. Part of your rise
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: to fame and success be how well you treat and
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: do for other people. God blesses you to become a blessing.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: He don't bless you to just get chosen. I can't
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: get a big house up on a heill, and don't
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: never share with nobody else how to get up on
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: the hill.
- 1:25:13Speaker 6: That ain't why.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: God give it to you, and God rewards you according
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: to how much he can trust you. God gives you
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: what he can trust you with. So if you're gonna
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: get it all and keep it to yourself and you
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: ain't gonna share none, he gonna quit giving it to you.
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: I never looked at it like that. I won't be
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: talking to him no time soon. It took too long
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: to get to that. I condensed it in the closing remark.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: We talked for two hours.
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: Y'all. Have a great day, and listen to me.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: When you're talking to a person that don't want help,
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: stop talking to him because you can't help him.
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: You have a great day, y'all.
