- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only, Steve Harvey, I got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show. Somebody sent me an email one day that,
- 2:15Speaker 1: you know, kind of a nasty little email, you know,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I think I said it wants to before Steve Harvey
- 2:21Speaker 1: trying to be a preacher. Man, I'm so far from
- 2:24Speaker 1: being a preacher. Man, I can't even tell you. But
- 2:28Speaker 1: what I am trying to do is share information. Now.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I understand how haters work, and I understand how the
- 2:33Speaker 1: devil works. Believe me, I do you know? Sometimes even heat,
- 2:40Speaker 1: the devil surprises me at the level and the angles
- 2:45Speaker 1: of attack they use, you know, which, I go, wow, man,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I didn't I didn't see that one. Oh, that was
- 2:51Speaker 1: pretty slick. I gotta get credit on that. We try
- 2:53Speaker 1: to get me, but every time you try to get me,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I get saved. I get saved every time, man, because
- 3:01Speaker 1: because God got me, God got some angels camped around me.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's what my mom used to always say as Sunday
- 3:10Speaker 1: school teacher. Never really understood it, but you know when
- 3:12Speaker 1: I was growing up as a kid, but I got it. Now.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He got some angels around me. And angels come into
- 3:18Speaker 1: form sometimes of people, people who pull your coat to this,
- 3:22Speaker 1: or introduce you to that, or reveal some information to
- 3:26Speaker 1: you like this. He got them all around me. So see,
- 3:31Speaker 1: having a relationship with God has been beneficial to me, y'all.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's not just that what he gives to me, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: what he protects me from. And you know, some some
- 3:46Speaker 1: people wonder, what if you were God, why he letting
- 3:49Speaker 1: people do that to you? Now, that's not how it works. See,
- 3:52Speaker 1: there's two forces in this world, as good and as evil.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And if you succumb to good, that's what you become,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's what you do. But everybody don't succumb to good.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Some people succumb to evil. Some people's mission is to hate,
- 4:05Speaker 1: to destroy to tear down, and so that forces at
- 4:10Speaker 1: work in this world too, and when that force comes
- 4:12Speaker 1: up against me. What God never promised me that I
- 4:16Speaker 1: wouldn't see none of that, that I wouldn't see the attacks,
- 4:20Speaker 1: that I would not come under fire, that I would
- 4:23Speaker 1: not be falsely accused. He didn't say that. A matter
- 4:25Speaker 1: of fact, he for warned me that it would happen.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Or what he does give me in those moments, on
- 4:32Speaker 1: moments of comfort in peace, knowing that He's with me,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and no, no matter what my enemy does to bring
- 4:39Speaker 1: me down, it ain't gonna work. It ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So come if you want to fight, if you will.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I have a man that has been attacking me since
- 4:51Speaker 1: I owned the comedy club in Dallas. He has been
- 4:55Speaker 1: on a mission and that if I don't give him
- 5:00Speaker 1: five million dollars, he gonna do it. He didn't done everything, man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: he has done everything. Now he've messed around and got
- 5:08Speaker 1: itself now claiming in his letters physically ill and his
- 5:13Speaker 1: illnesses and what's befalling his family. He's blaming that on
- 5:18Speaker 1: me too. As Steve Harvey not stressed me out and
- 5:21Speaker 1: paid me this money he owed me. We were you
- 5:25Speaker 1: coming with this. He just has kept on it on
- 5:28Speaker 1: it all and you know what, he a messed around,
- 5:31Speaker 1: got itself sick. He'n messed around, man, got himself in
- 5:35Speaker 1: some situation. And can I tell you something. It's been
- 5:38Speaker 1: going on since nine teen, maybe ninety seven. He started
- 5:48Speaker 1: the attack when I first went on, No before that,
- 5:53Speaker 1: probably ninety five. He started the attacks in ninety five.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Every nine he even't got six lawyers. All the lawyers
- 6:03Speaker 1: didn't drop the case after they come in and they
- 6:05Speaker 1: discover the fact. But he steady trying. But it's too
- 6:09Speaker 1: angels that's around. And I forewarned him several times. Man,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and man, if I was you, I go head on
- 6:15Speaker 1: because what I'm not gonna do is being because see,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you cannot break me because I happened to be a
- 6:22Speaker 1: soldier for Christ. I happened to be an imperfect soldier
- 6:27Speaker 1: or Christ as nothing, Man as nothing. And oh it
- 6:32Speaker 1: ain't like a bunch of people and tried. Now, Oh
- 6:34Speaker 1: y'all all been on YouTube, y'all been on the internet.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Oh they didn't try. Oh they didn't put some dirt
- 6:40Speaker 1: on me. Man, that ain't true. But if you keep
- 6:43Speaker 1: looking at me though, and I'm not the prize. But
- 6:46Speaker 1: if you put your eyes on God, it's where you go.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But if you look at me, He's covered me through
- 6:51Speaker 1: it all. And that's been the importance of the relationship
- 6:54Speaker 1: I formed with God, is that I know that I'm
- 6:58Speaker 1: under his wings, that I'm ever under his ever loving protection,
- 7:03Speaker 1: that he got me. And I just wanted to share
- 7:06Speaker 1: that with you that if you got If you're looking
- 7:09Speaker 1: for some protection, if you're looking for a way to
- 7:13Speaker 1: have the strength to get through what you're going through,
- 7:16Speaker 1: get some God man. If if you want to weigh out,
- 7:21Speaker 1: get some god man. If you've been gangbanging and you're
- 7:24Speaker 1: sick of gangbanging, get you some god man. If you're
- 7:27Speaker 1: tired of being on drugs and you're tied to drinking,
- 7:30Speaker 1: get you some god man. If you're tired of being

- 17:59Speaker 1: say is the most I don't know, the most important
- 18:02Speaker 1: invention of your lifetime? Oh, as you've been here see
- 18:12Speaker 1: Venten m Well, I think I think the bullet brenda
- 18:18Speaker 1: was probably one of the greatest inventions. And because you
- 18:23Speaker 1: could do a lot of things with a bullet, watch
- 18:26Speaker 1: yourself like, yeah, well you can make a small man,
- 18:36Speaker 1: you can make a lot of other things that motor.

- 18:47Speaker 1: you know. I like the bullet. And I'll tell you
- 18:48Speaker 1: something else that I thought was question invention. Oh was
- 18:53Speaker 1: what I thought to pacify Pacified was a was a
- 18:59Speaker 1: wonderful invention. For babies. Oh well, when they first came out,
- 19:05Speaker 1: they wasn't for babies. That's what I used to get
- 19:10Speaker 1: one of the mens once I was done with us
- 19:15Speaker 1: and put them asleep. Can't you're gonna wait tucking up
- 19:22Speaker 1: till you calm your nerve. You're something else good? And
- 19:28Speaker 1: then they finally said, you know what, we ought to
- 19:31Speaker 1: try this own baby. Yeah, that was made for men though,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you know, uh with the ship on the end of
- 19:38Speaker 1: it and everything. You know, yes, man, I was gonna ask.

- 29:29Speaker 1: entertainment and national news for you. Right after this. You're
- 29:32Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. So, Steve
- 29:38Speaker 1: Lebron James has finally broken his silence on the tragic
- 29:42Speaker 1: death of Kobe Bryant and his Instagram post. Lebron wrote
- 29:46Speaker 1: that he was heartbroken and devastated by the loss of
- 29:49Speaker 1: Kobe and his thirteen year old daughter Gianna. Here is
- 29:52Speaker 1: some of what he posted. He said, I literally just
- 29:55Speaker 1: heard your voice Sunday morning before I left Philly to
- 29:58Speaker 1: head back to LA. Didn't think for one bit and
- 30:01Speaker 1: a million years that would be the last conversation we'd have. Wow,
- 30:06Speaker 1: to lose a friend like that, I'm sure everyone listening
- 30:09Speaker 1: was crying. If you got a chance to read Lebron's
- 30:12Speaker 1: entire emotional goodbye post. Lebron went on to say that
- 30:17Speaker 1: he would continue to honor Kobe's legacy. Wow. Man, Yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I read that post. Yeah it was, Yeah, it really
- 30:28Speaker 1: really was. Did you see it's Steve? Yeah. I mean,
- 30:32Speaker 1: you know, the reason I liked it was for different reasons.
- 30:35Speaker 1: So I'm not you know, I just like when people
- 30:39Speaker 1: appear and honest, you know, the custom that he typed
- 30:42Speaker 1: in nails what hours? You know. I know that sounds crazy,
- 30:48Speaker 1: but it's being real. That affected me more than anything.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I went, Okay, now that's really how you feel, because
- 30:56Speaker 1: he typed how he felt. Yeah, and sometimes you have
- 30:59Speaker 1: to say and it just it just it kills me.
- 31:02Speaker 1: The judgmental people. I can't believe the language he used.
- 31:05Speaker 1: What what are you talking about? Hey, man? If if,
- 31:09Speaker 1: if somebody's grieving, you have to be careful how you
- 31:13Speaker 1: how you tell people how to grieve. Don't judge, no,
- 31:18Speaker 1: but you have to be careful. Your grief is rough, man,
- 31:22Speaker 1: There is no woo to this. This thing. Man. Have
- 31:26Speaker 1: you sitting up somewhere doing doing it, saying and feeling
- 31:30Speaker 1: something you never knew you was capable of feeling? Yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 1: make you feel like you're losing your mind? Hey man,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I remember the doctor told me when my mama passed.
- 31:41Speaker 1: He said, you know, because my mother had a stroke
- 31:44Speaker 1: and she was really she was really gone. You know.
- 31:46Speaker 1: When I got to the hospital, she was on a ventilator,
- 31:49Speaker 1: and the doctor said he was just telling the family
- 31:53Speaker 1: member and me and my brothers were sitting there. He said, well,
- 31:57Speaker 1: she's gone, She's she she won't live through the night.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And my brothers stood up and said, well you ain't either.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Whoa God, because that's where he was. You know. She
- 32:10Speaker 1: said he ain't gonna live through nothing. My brothers stood
- 32:12Speaker 1: up and saying, okay, then you ain't either. I want
- 32:16Speaker 1: you to understand he was dead serious. It it. It
- 32:21Speaker 1: took my older sister Mona to calm his ass down
- 32:26Speaker 1: because he was dead serious. Yeah, ain't yeh, ain't no problem.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Okay, cool, since you over here
- 32:34Speaker 1: talking freely, let me give you something to think about.
- 32:40Speaker 1: And then the cold part was me and mather Brother.
- 32:43Speaker 1: We was good with it. Wow. So you know, man,
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'm just saying that it sounded in a humorous way.
- 32:51Speaker 1: But you know, people deal with grief differently. Man. People
- 32:55Speaker 1: they so quick this society. Even in this tragedy, people
- 33:00Speaker 1: got looked cute things they want to say. You know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you'll be going, wow, man, inappropriate. You know a lot
- 33:09Speaker 1: of people are affected by this room right here, A
- 33:12Speaker 1: lot of people absolutely tragic loss. It is. Yeah, I
- 33:15Speaker 1: don't I don't recall hearing as many men openly talk
- 33:20Speaker 1: about the passing of somebody until I mean, I'm but
- 33:25Speaker 1: I've been around for yeah, yeah, you're really grieving about it. Yeah, well, Steve,
- 33:32Speaker 1: it is now time to get caught up on today's headlines. Ladies,
- 33:37Speaker 1: A gentleman, miss An Tripp, thank you, Thank you very much, everybody,
- 33:41Speaker 1: Good morning. Donald Trump's impeachment defense team chose to quickly
- 33:45Speaker 1: wrap up its case yesterday rather than deal with the
- 33:48Speaker 1: possibility that for Senate Republicans might jump ship and vote
- 33:52Speaker 1: to override Mitch McConnell's and no more information or witnesses
- 33:55Speaker 1: position or before they could finish or laying out their
- 33:58Speaker 1: case and thereby opening the door or for Trump's former
- 34:00Speaker 1: National security chief Robert Bolton to testify testifying about the
- 34:05Speaker 1: charges he makes against the President. In his upcoming book,
- 34:08Speaker 1: So White House Counsel Pat Sippoloni explained his decision to
- 34:12Speaker 1: stop trying to defend Trump from the two impeachment articles
- 34:15Speaker 1: lodged against him, and just he deflected the whole argument.
- 34:18Speaker 1: The election is only months away. The American people are
- 34:22Speaker 1: entitled to choose their president. Well, that's what he made
- 34:25Speaker 1: the whole thing about. Next up, two days of questions
- 34:28Speaker 1: by senators are going to be questioning each other, and
- 34:31Speaker 1: then after that there will be a vote on the
- 34:33Speaker 1: possible admission of extra information and witness testimony. And that's
- 34:37Speaker 1: something Leadhouse Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff is really hoping for.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I don't see how the oath of impartiality can be
- 34:44Speaker 1: interpreted any other way than demanding a fair trial that
- 34:47Speaker 1: includes witnesses and documents, and a final vote on that
- 34:50Speaker 1: is not expected until this Friday at the earliest. And
- 34:53Speaker 1: then after that down the line will come the overall
- 34:55Speaker 1: center vote on the articles of impeachment. So all is
- 34:57Speaker 1: still has two unfold. We'll see how layout. According to
- 35:01Speaker 1: the LA Coroner's office, now all nine bodies have been
- 35:04Speaker 1: recovered from the scene of the helicopter crash to kill
- 35:07Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven other people. Doctors say
- 35:10Speaker 1: they're going to update the public when all the identities
- 35:13Speaker 1: of the victims are officially verified. Now the Dennis have
- 35:16Speaker 1: already been mentioned because family members have said yess my
- 35:20Speaker 1: loved one was aboard that flight or whatever, but the
- 35:22Speaker 1: victims still have to be officially verified in that is
- 35:25Speaker 1: what the current Corner's office is about this morning. Meanwhile,
- 35:28Speaker 1: investigators from the National Transportation Safety Boards say they expect
- 35:31Speaker 1: to be on the scene for a few more days,
- 35:33Speaker 1: really trying to definitively find out what happened and why
- 35:36Speaker 1: it happened. By the way, is an example of what
- 35:39Speaker 1: many people have come to feel are the sometimes really
- 35:42Speaker 1: wrong British media. A lot of folks feel that in
- 35:44Speaker 1: the wake of of the Meghan Harry mess, the British
- 35:47Speaker 1: Broadcasting Corporation is under five for running a news clip
- 35:50Speaker 1: about Kobe Bryant's death using a voiceover outlining the world
- 35:54Speaker 1: class athlete's achievements while actually showing scenes of King James
- 35:58Speaker 1: on the court, not Bryant. Social media is criticized the
- 36:01Speaker 1: BBC for the arrow or, some accusing the media outfit
- 36:04Speaker 1: of incompetence, others saying it's an example of their racism.
- 36:08Speaker 1: The opposition labor parties David Lammy tweets Kobe Bryant and
- 36:12Speaker 1: Lebron James don't Knowlion looks similar. The BBC has hired
- 36:15Speaker 1: If they hired more black producers and editors, appalling mistakes
- 36:18Speaker 1: like this wouldn't happen. It wouldn't happen if a black
- 36:20Speaker 1: if a white star had died. According to reports, ethnic
- 36:23Speaker 1: Minardi's are severely uppresented. It's underrepresenting the British media. The
- 36:27Speaker 1: total number of journalists mostly white. Over there. Now back
- 36:30Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show you're listening to show
- 36:35Speaker 1: it's been fifty years since the Kansas City Chiefs appeared
- 36:38Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl, and the family that owns the
- 36:41Speaker 1: team is making the most of it by throwing a huge,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm talking huge Super Bowl party. The Hunt family is
- 36:47Speaker 1: hosting close to two thousand staff members, friends, families in
- 36:53Speaker 1: Miami for the Big Game. I love it. We can't
- 36:57Speaker 1: get it. Yeah, that is how you throw a party. Okay, now,
- 37:01Speaker 1: who's doing that? The Hunt family, the owners of the
- 37:04Speaker 1: Kansas City Chiefs, because it's been fifty years since they've
- 37:07Speaker 1: even been in the Super Bowl. Yeah that was you
- 37:11Speaker 1: see the one Cleveland goal though. The family. That is
- 37:19Speaker 1: a lot of wings. There's a lot of nachos. Okay. Yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 1: so you're going to the super Bowl, right, Steve, Yeah,
- 37:26Speaker 1: leaving right after this. Oh okay, okay, head him down
- 37:30Speaker 1: there on. They got some things to do. Gonna do
- 37:32Speaker 1: first take Steven ain't gonna do the Rich Eisman show.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I got to go to a walk through for the honors. Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 1: they play golf twice. A couple of ball players invitament
- 37:46Speaker 1: go down there and in Friday, live your life, do
- 37:53Speaker 1: the rehearsal, and then Saturday, I'm going on there and
- 37:57Speaker 1: try to clown. Yeah, that's when you talk about it.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Abody got platts. You gonna let him know how you
- 38:02Speaker 1: know what time? I forgot about that, But I show
- 38:04Speaker 1: him that we need to talk, make a vote on it.
- 38:10Speaker 1: If we think you should do this tonight. We really
- 38:13Speaker 1: no See I always do a joke I'm not supposed
- 38:16Speaker 1: to do. Oh see, they took out last year to
- 38:20Speaker 1: Tom Brady joke I did because I said, all this
- 38:24Speaker 1: money in this room, all y'all got money, All y'all
- 38:28Speaker 1: sitting around because you know, last year Tom Brady wasn't
- 38:32Speaker 1: at the NFL Honors because he was in the Super
- 38:34Speaker 1: Bowler next day, I said, ain't y'all tired of Tom
- 38:37Speaker 1: Brady going to the Super Bowl? Ain't I'm the only
- 38:41Speaker 1: one time? Yeah? Yeah, Roger Goodelle came back and talk
- 38:47Speaker 1: to me about that when he said that I ain't
- 38:49Speaker 1: gonna make it, you know, thank God, But in your
- 38:54Speaker 1: mind it was brilliant. I'm trying to figure out what
- 38:57Speaker 1: your podcast is over here talking to me about the
- 39:02Speaker 1: football play off. Holly, all right, we're moving on Steve
- 39:08Speaker 1: coming up there are minutes after the hour the Steve
- 39:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Shows Health and Wellness segment sponsored by d
- 39:14Speaker 1: Herbs coming up right after this. You're listening to show
- 39:21Speaker 1: well many of us made New Year's resolutions to lose
- 39:23Speaker 1: a little weight and get back in shape, as you
- 39:25Speaker 1: know a lot of people do. At the beginning of
- 39:27Speaker 1: every year, and well many of us have already given up.
- 39:32Speaker 1: But hey, we know it's rough. We all fall short.
- 39:35Speaker 1: But right now we're about to help you get back
- 39:37Speaker 1: on track and reach your twenty twenty goals to lose
- 39:40Speaker 1: weight and just live a healthier lifestyle. And joining us
- 39:44Speaker 1: now is a CEO and the president of d Herbs.
- 39:49Speaker 1: We love him, he is family. Please welcome back to
- 39:52Speaker 1: the show first time this year in twenty twenty, mister
- 39:55Speaker 1: A D. Dolphin. How are you guys doing this morning? Hey,
- 40:03Speaker 1: we know you by your Hey, well, welcome back a
- 40:09Speaker 1: d Like we said, we have missed you. We're going
- 40:12Speaker 1: to get right into it. So eighty percent of Americans
- 40:16Speaker 1: have made New Year's resolutions to lose weight this year.
- 40:18Speaker 1: That's always how it goes, right, right, exactly. Yeah, So
- 40:22Speaker 1: we want you ad to tell us how the d
- 40:25Speaker 1: Earth's Full Body Cleanse can help them stay on track
- 40:28Speaker 1: and get clean and lean for this new year. Well,
- 40:32Speaker 1: the reason why I can help them stay on track
- 40:34Speaker 1: is because it's easy. It's really easy. All you have
- 40:38Speaker 1: to do is follow the instruction. It's easy and it works,
- 40:42Speaker 1: and probably the best thing about it is the results itself.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You're talking about weight loss between ten to thirty pounds,
- 40:48Speaker 1: a huge boosting energy, stronger immune system, clearer skin. You'll
- 40:52Speaker 1: be able to focus and concentrate a lot better. The
- 40:55Speaker 1: d Earth's Full Body cleans is truly a life changer.
- 40:58Speaker 1: All that is true, and it is important that we
- 41:02Speaker 1: educate the listeners and how different the Derb's Full Body
- 41:05Speaker 1: cleanses than other cleanses out there. So ad, let's talk
- 41:08Speaker 1: about that for a minute. Okay, Well, most cleanses they
- 41:12Speaker 1: kind of just focus on your colons. The Derbs Full
- 41:14Speaker 1: body clans focuses on your entire body. That's your gall bloody,
- 41:18Speaker 1: your heart, you deliver, your colon, your spling, your lunch
- 41:21Speaker 1: and kidneys, your adrenal glands. You're blood in your skin,
- 41:24Speaker 1: your entire body, not just your colon, because that can
- 41:27Speaker 1: give you the illusion of cleansing. And also our formulas
- 41:30Speaker 1: which are one hundred percent natural down to the capsules themselves,
- 41:35Speaker 1: which are vegetarian capsules, so it's easy for your body
- 41:38Speaker 1: to consume. I love that. And one thing we've left out,
- 41:42Speaker 1: we've all done it. Basically, you can eat on the
- 41:45Speaker 1: DRS Full Body cleanse absolutely, so you're not drinking some
- 41:50Speaker 1: weird concoction. You're not starving yourself. You can eat you
- 41:54Speaker 1: know what, long as you stay within the diet itself,

- 42:06Speaker 1: should try the DearS full body cleanse and tell us
- 42:09Speaker 1: why that might as well well. Ninety present of all
- 42:14Speaker 1: diseases today are diorelated. We're literally eating our way into sickness.
- 42:19Speaker 1: And surely people actually believe, since their parents had diabetes,
- 42:24Speaker 1: since their parents had high blood pressure, that God has
- 42:27Speaker 1: predetermined those diseases for them, and it's true, simply not true.
- 42:33Speaker 1: You determine that by your eating habits. Yes, you have
- 42:36Speaker 1: the same genetics, if you eat the same same diet,
- 42:39Speaker 1: you're definitely gonna give yourself a better chance of getting
- 42:42Speaker 1: those things. But if you if you take a different path,
- 42:46Speaker 1: a healthier path, if you start to cleanse, you can
- 42:49Speaker 1: change your life, you can change your existence. You are
- 42:52Speaker 1: in control of that, and it's so important that we
- 42:55Speaker 1: get that message across because people think that God has
- 42:59Speaker 1: predetermined that for them, and it's simply not true. They
- 43:02Speaker 1: do it now, wary concern and it manifests itself into
- 43:09Speaker 1: high blood. If you stop worrying, man and start doing
- 43:13Speaker 1: some breathing exercises and change your diet where you ain't
- 43:17Speaker 1: beating yourself up with the food you put in your body,
- 43:20Speaker 1: you could make a huge difference in high blood. You
- 43:23Speaker 1: heard it right here on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 43:26Speaker 1: If you are looking to see lasting weight loss and

- 46:21Speaker 1: might come once once out of a month. You're not
- 46:24Speaker 1: tithing as we expected. You know, the church can't really
- 46:28Speaker 1: depend on you. Um, it's you. You got you know,
- 46:31Speaker 1: you bring your kids. I think your brother comes to
- 46:33Speaker 1: the church, but everybody is coming every now and then.
- 46:37Speaker 1: We cannot depend on you all to be the members
- 46:40Speaker 1: and have the expectation of what we're trying to say.
- 46:46Speaker 1: You say your name is yes, and you work, you
- 46:51Speaker 1: work under the dan. I'm sorry, I've never heard of
- 46:55Speaker 1: you before. I have been officiated by the pastor as
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm over actually to finance and we're going through all
- 47:02Speaker 1: of the books and looking at all of the numbers
- 47:04Speaker 1: of the of the members of the church and directory,
- 47:07Speaker 1: and we're noticing what people are pan tide, what people
- 47:10Speaker 1: aren't fans I who's coming to church, who's participating in
- 47:13Speaker 1: different in different uh ministries and whatnot. And Sister Dakar,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I got I have to be honest with you, you
- 47:20Speaker 1: would maybe once every one of the mind we might
- 47:24Speaker 1: see you might not see you, you know, and like
- 47:26Speaker 1: I said, God may not be through with you, but
- 47:29Speaker 1: we are well, okay, you been saying that this. Listen,
- 47:34Speaker 1: why I don't understand, like, like y'all monitoring my my
- 47:38Speaker 1: my church going like I can't. I can't. I have
- 47:42Speaker 1: to go every single week. I mean when I came,

- 48:01Speaker 1: got two jobs, but we're not getting ties like you
- 48:04Speaker 1: got two jobs. You're not tiding like you got two
- 48:06Speaker 1: jobs because I can't afford you just you just said
- 48:10Speaker 1: I got two jobs. That's what you just said. And
- 48:12Speaker 1: that those two jobs are in supporting my kids. I mean,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I can't support the church and my kids. It's the
- 48:18Speaker 1: same trum kid you both. I mean, I I give
- 48:20Speaker 1: when I can. Let me ask you something. What are
- 48:24Speaker 1: you making on that other job? Are you serious? Are
- 48:28Speaker 1: you really? You? Really? You? Really? As I didn't know
- 48:32Speaker 1: the church? God? Is this deep with you really asking
- 48:36Speaker 1: me how much I make and my second job that
- 48:39Speaker 1: I hate to support my kids? Cool? Now? Did this
- 48:43Speaker 1: got to be something? This is I'm gonna say this
- 48:45Speaker 1: to you again. God may not beat through with you,
- 48:49Speaker 1: but we are thank you. You are gonna pay your tides.
- 48:54Speaker 1: If you're not gonna come to work on a consistent basis,
- 48:58Speaker 1: then what what do you gonna fit the church? Is

- 49:13Speaker 1: One more time? I'm serious. No, I'm gonna tell you
- 49:16Speaker 1: this you're talking about? This is that what the church
- 49:17Speaker 1: is about? Let me tell you what the church is.
- 49:19Speaker 1: The church is a hospital for cripple souls. You understand
- 49:24Speaker 1: that that's what. That's what the church is. But when
- 49:27Speaker 1: when we have the souls that are coming in to
- 49:31Speaker 1: be saved, we are doing our job. And guess what
- 49:35Speaker 1: those people that are coming and you know what they're doing.
- 49:37Speaker 1: They're tithing. That's what they're doing. They're tithing. You, sister Dakara,
- 49:42Speaker 1: I'm sure your soul it's crippled. You're not coming and
- 49:46Speaker 1: you're not tithing. You may give us a little something
- 49:49Speaker 1: something when you show up. If you show up, Am
- 49:52Speaker 1: I right? A wrong? Okay? Hold up, let me get
- 49:55Speaker 1: worth the straight. This is what you call me for
- 49:58Speaker 1: in the middle of my day to tell me that
- 50:02Speaker 1: you're kicking me out the church because I don't give
- 50:04Speaker 1: enough money to the church while I'm asking my job
- 50:09Speaker 1: that I can barely afford to pay my bills with.
- 50:13Speaker 1: Not a fact, I don't even know who you are.
- 50:15Speaker 1: I've never met you in my life, and I don't
- 50:18Speaker 1: know what this church. You know? This church. I hate
- 50:21Speaker 1: to say it, but if that's what the church is about,
- 50:23Speaker 1: you had the nerve to call me. I'm the plan people,
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm sho okay na na na, na na. Let me
- 50:32Speaker 1: say something now, you're being very unchristian like. Nah, just
- 50:37Speaker 1: to the car where you're gonna watch it done in
- 50:39Speaker 1: your language? Him, this is not Christian life. Well, well
- 50:43Speaker 1: do you do? You know? Brother Dwayne? Isn't that your brothers? Okay?

- 53:57Speaker 1: think you're ready, nephew. Subject were seventy and selling sexiness.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm desperate for some sound advice. I'm
- 54:07Speaker 1: a thirty six year old divorced female with two kids.
- 54:11Speaker 1: My mom is in her early seventies and recently widowed.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Her life changed drastically, so the kids and I spent
- 54:19Speaker 1: a lot of time with her. About six months ago,
- 54:23Speaker 1: I saw that my mom was getting back into her
- 54:25Speaker 1: normal routine, so I backed off a bit and let
- 54:28Speaker 1: her have some space. When we visit it with her,
- 54:31Speaker 1: she seemed to be in good spirits. She wore jazzy
- 54:34Speaker 1: new wigs that were longer than she normally wore, and
- 54:37Speaker 1: she started wearing very tight and revealing clothing, which was shocking.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I asked her if my dad had a secret life
- 54:44Speaker 1: insurance policy that she cashed in on because she was
- 54:48Speaker 1: spending a lot of money. She said she was able
- 54:50Speaker 1: to save a lot of money over the years, so
- 54:52Speaker 1: she's fine. A week later, she had a new Jaguar
- 54:56Speaker 1: in the garage and she had bought a new living
- 55:00Speaker 1: room and bedroom furniture. I insisted that she'd be honest
- 55:04Speaker 1: with me. She just came right out and told me
- 55:06Speaker 1: that she was doing porn. Oh, I'll missy. She came
- 55:13Speaker 1: right out, and I told her, I told you, I
- 55:16Speaker 1: told you you weren't ready for this one. She came
- 55:18Speaker 1: right out and told me that she was doing porn.
- 55:22Speaker 1: I nearly lost my mind and asked her to repeat
- 55:25Speaker 1: what she said. She said it again. She's a porn star,
- 55:30Speaker 1: she said. She live streams videos of herself on a
- 55:33Speaker 1: porn website for men who are attracted to mature senior women.
- 55:39Speaker 1: She said it makes her feel very sexy because all
- 55:42Speaker 1: kinds of men pay real good money to see her goodies.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I told her that it's disgusting, demeaning and trashy and
- 55:50Speaker 1: she's too old to be doing this. She to come on, Steve,
- 55:53Speaker 1: I need your help right here. She too old to
- 55:57Speaker 1: be there. She told me to kiss her way bilders exactly,
- 56:06Speaker 1: thank you, sir. Turn Come on, I told her that's disgusting,
- 56:11Speaker 1: demeaning it trashy. She too old to be doing this.
- 56:14Speaker 1: She told me to kiss her old way and mind
- 56:19Speaker 1: my old damn British, which YO broke. I was crushed
- 56:27Speaker 1: and we haven't spoken for weeks. My kids miss hurt,
- 56:31Speaker 1: but I refused to take them to visit her because
- 56:33Speaker 1: only God knows what she's been doing on that new furniture.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I am ashamed to be in her presence. This is
- 56:40Speaker 1: unimaginable and I don't know what to do about it.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, how can I talk some sense at her?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Please advise every time I think I cannot be surprised
- 56:53Speaker 1: anymore with these letters, because we have seen and heard
- 56:57Speaker 1: it all. Here you come with this believable story about
- 57:01Speaker 1: a seventy year old poor star who just happens to
- 57:04Speaker 1: be your mama. What imagine I mean, just imagine if
- 57:12Speaker 1: this were your mother, I mean, all of us your mama? Right?
- 57:17Speaker 1: This is crazy, Gay, You're right, I mean, this is
- 57:21Speaker 1: this is unimaginable I can't. I mean, the only thing
- 57:26Speaker 1: I can think of at this point is that maybe she,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I don't know, snapped a little bit after your dad
- 57:32Speaker 1: passed away. My condolences, by the way, Uh you know,
- 57:36Speaker 1: I mean I think she's still going through I think
- 57:39Speaker 1: she is in a way. My advice to you is
- 57:43Speaker 1: you gonna have to, I guess, because she's in her
- 57:45Speaker 1: seventies and you can't tell her what to do. She's grown.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Uh you know, wait this one out. I mean, you know,
- 57:53Speaker 1: I say, what do you say? What do you say?
- 57:58Speaker 1: I mean, you can you can shut up. She got
- 58:04Speaker 1: some new furnitures, she's good, she's feeling sexy. How much
- 58:09Speaker 1: we make it, mam, Yeah, she didn't say that. I mean,
- 58:12Speaker 1: you know, you got to continue to talk to her,
- 58:14Speaker 1: tell her how this makes you feel, how ashamed you are,
- 58:17Speaker 1: you know, and all of this. I mean, the kids
- 58:19Speaker 1: don't know what she's doing. Necessarily, you didn't say how
- 58:22Speaker 1: old they were, but to her, to them, she's still grandmother.
- 58:26Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily think you should keep them away
- 58:29Speaker 1: from her. Maybe have Grandma come to your house and
- 58:32Speaker 1: them not go to theirs. But this is crazy for
- 58:35Speaker 1: the family, and you really have to talk to your mother,
- 58:38Speaker 1: sit her down, try to continue to try to talk
- 58:42Speaker 1: some sense into her. I mean, yeah, this is crazy.
- 58:46Speaker 1: This is your mother. Your mother is a born Steven
- 58:53Speaker 1: to make this great. Yeah, I feel for you, I
- 58:55Speaker 1: really feel for you, Steve. Yeah, lady, Jimmy, he'll go come.
- 59:02Speaker 1: You know this lady thirty six years old, divorce, got
- 59:06Speaker 1: two kids now her mama and her seventies and recently widowed.
- 59:12Speaker 1: That means her daddy died while back. Her life changed drastically.
- 59:20Speaker 1: So you went over there spending some time with about
- 59:22Speaker 1: six months ago, you saw that your mama was getting
- 59:25Speaker 1: back to normal, so you backed off in your let
- 59:27Speaker 1: her house from space. Then you went over that a
- 59:30Speaker 1: visit and she see season good spends, but a couple
- 59:33Speaker 1: of things with them. She has new wigs see this
- 59:36Speaker 1: the beginning of it. Some new wigs that was longer
- 59:40Speaker 1: than she normal. Your mama got had down to her.
- 59:43Speaker 1: But you just trying to figure out where you start
- 59:47Speaker 1: growing this at seventy then she started wearing really tight
- 59:51Speaker 1: and revealing clothes, which was shocking. Then you you tried
- 59:56Speaker 1: to did your did daddy leave your secret life? And
- 59:58Speaker 1: should now need you? Night of money? She said, shoot,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I'm saving money. Hold on right there. Hold on, We'll
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: have part two and Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter. You don't
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: want to miss Part two, subject over seventy and selling sexiness.

- 1:01:41Speaker 1: had if dad had a secret life policy. She says,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: she don't need her dad and money. How did she say,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I don't need I got money. He wasn't the brand
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: winning him. She said she was able to save a

- 1:02:42Speaker 1: stream videos herself on the pawn site for me who
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: are attracted to mature senior women. She said it make
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: her feel very section, because all kinds of men pay
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: real good money to see her goodies. See the reason
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: they do that just because they're in something they've never
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: seen before. See you see, lady you said, is sick.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: You don't even have one of them yet. These men
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: is paying for something they've never seen before. I'm sixty three,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I ain't ever seen it before. I'm curious, my damnself,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: what if it? What do it? Do? Nah? I do
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: the point. I'm trying to figure out what condition is
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: it in men pay money to see stuff they've never
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: seen before. Man. I told her it was disgusting, demeaning
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and trashing, and she was too old to be doing this.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: That's when she told me, yeah, come on, hold on,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: let me bring sister old day all in here. Please.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve, thank you. I was just sitting in
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the sitting over there, thinking to myself, they need somebody
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: in here, sperience. You need experienced women in here, cause
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: shut lly don't know nothing about this. Him. Chilly is
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: a good little Christian girl, and I thank you for
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: that shit, But lett me handle this girl. She told her, mamma,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: it was disgusting, demean and trash and she was too
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: old to be doing it. She told me to kiss
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: her ass and mine your bid. Now, sweetie, I didn't
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: want it. You know, I'm trying to be trying to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: answer this nothing but you thirty six, You shouldn't ran
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: up on your mama. Man. Now, your mama told you
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: to kiss her whole ass, and there's a lot of
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: men that's paying to do it. Oh, that's your fun,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: That's all I wanted to say, Take it away, stave.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: So I was crushed, and we have her spoken four weeks.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: My kids miss her, but I refused to take him
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: to visit her because only God knows what she's been
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: doing on that new furniture. She bought the new furniture
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: because she am on film now see these is live
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: stream videos. She had got a couple of negative comments
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: on one of her live streams because she had the
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: sofa with the plastic and she had the plastic on
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: her head and tanned, and she was trying to be
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: sexy and that plastic cutter one time, and then that's
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: when she said, oh damn it. And then that's when
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: she had to get some new furniture. And when she
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: doing the bedroom scenes, you know, she don't want to
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: be in the same bed that her husband was ore.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: So she was being real respect guy. I am ashamed
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: to be in her presence. This is unimaginable and I
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: don't know what to do about it. Stephen Shelley, How
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: can I talk some sense into it? You can't. She said,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: clock is ticking, and it's ticking different from for her. Yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: he actually said that though. The key to this whole
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: letther is she told me her mother told her to
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: kiss her old ass and mind my whole best. Yeah,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: and that's probably one of her go to lines when
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: she las that ain't a line she just came up
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: with that really gets the cash register ranging. When she
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: said you could kiss my old ass, they just money,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: just poee and said again more deal. That's what they

- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. We're gonna
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: switch gears here. Today's office topic is it possible to
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: be too tired to go to sleep? We'll talk about
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: All right, guys, here's a question for you. Is it
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: possible to be too tired to go to sleep? It's
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: perfectly possible to feel tired and at the same time
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: have trouble dozing off. Certain life stresses and health problems
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: can leave us feeling exhausted, but at the same time
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: make it difficult to relax and go to sleep. Also,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: missing out on sleep can disrupt our natural rhythms, which
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: can make us feel wide awake when we usually be sleeping.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: So here's the question. You've ever been too tired to sleep?
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: I've heard people say that before. I'm just I'm I
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: was so tired I couldn't even sleep. What do you
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: think cause that? Well, I know for a fact you
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: can be tired and not be sleepy. And then sometimes, man,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: you can. You I've done myself like that many times.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I just pushed myself to the edge and then it's
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: so much adrenaline that it takes a while for the
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: adrenaline to go because you've just been exerting yourself. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: you know, and then that adrenaline is flowing and you're
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: up in your hype because man, it's sometimes, like Tommy
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Junior tell you, after the show is kind of hard.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to go to see you're seen excited. Yeah,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: you're tired. Yeah, just yeah done. A show is run.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: So you just be sitting in the morning. Yeah, just
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: So what do you do in that case when you
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: know you have to get some rest? I packed his
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: bags all missed this flight, is what I do? You
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: sleep on the plane? Yeah? I try to get sleep
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: on the plane. I love sleeping on the plane. Yeah yeah,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: but Steve, when you're not too tired and you're getting
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: and you look forward to that sleep, and how do
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: you good sleep? You know you're about tom I'm I'm
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: talking about when I know I'm sleeping, like you know,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: like I'll be talking to somebody and be looking dead
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: at their ass, but don't but don't be listening, right,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: but be rocking back and forth just a little bit,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: you know, but not side to side, back and forth
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: like closer to him, fall away, close to him, fall away,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: and just be rocking like that, so it don't look
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: because you don't want to rock side to side because
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that throw people off. But when you rock towards them,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that just lures them in. And be just talking and
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I don't be hearing nothing. They say, I've shut my
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: eyes completely while somebody was talking. Okay, at lady one
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: time at this meeting, she was talking and I was
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: just looking at how rocket I fell asleep. She said,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: are you okay? I'm fine? You right? What's wrong with you? See?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I really think you hold the record of getting on
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the plane and falling asleep the fastest. Yeah, yeah, but
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I go to sleep on the plane in the heartbeat.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I don't guess you will on the plane. Oh no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: no no no. Sandy Entertainers boy KB kp KB KB
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: snor We just on the plane one time, king to him.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: KB was snoring so loud. The white dude next to
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: him said, hey, are you serious? Are you really serious?
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: So k KB say, hey, man, my bad, but I
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: do snore. So Kaby went back in again. Now we
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: crossed the aisle, KB snowing so loud. We on the
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: other side of the aisle me and said, just holly.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: White dude said, oh my god, for crying out loud, mister,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: can you please set up kbl KB saved. Hey, man,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I just told you I snore, So listen to this
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: right here. If you wake me up one more time,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you ain't gonna believe what else I do. Real loud too,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: causin my ass whipping skills is just as loud as
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: my soul source. So Kaby went back over there, and
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: ten minutes later k' be with ripping them in again.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: That dude got up out of first class and went

- 1:17:03Speaker 1: So Steve Lebron James has finally broken his silence on
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and his Instagram post.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Lebron wrote that he was heartbroken and devastated by the
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: loss of Kobe and his thirteen year old daughter Gianna.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Here is some of what he posted. He said, I
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I left
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Philly to head back to LA. Didn't think for one
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: bit in a million years that would be the last
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: conversation we'd have. Wow, to lose a friend like that,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I'm sure everyone listening was crying. If you got a
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: chance to read Lebron's entire emotional goodbye post. Lebron went
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: on to say that he would continue to honor Kobe's legacy. Wow. Man, Yeah,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I read that post. Yeah it was so felt. Yeah,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: it really really was. Did you see it's Steve? Yeah.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I mean you know the reason, I like, there was
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: a different reasons. So I'm not you know, I just
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: like when people appearing honest. You know the custom that
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: he typed in Eils, what hours you know, I know
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: that sounds crazy, but it's being real's No, that affected
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: me more than anything. I went, Okay, now that's really
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: how you feel, because he typed how he felt. Yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: And sometimes you have to say that and it just
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: it just it kills me to judgmental people. I can't
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: believe the language he used. What what are you talking about?
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Hey man? If if, if somebody's grieving, you have to
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: be careful how you how you tell people how to grieve.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Don't judge, no, but you have to be careful. Your
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: grief is rough, man. There is no woo to this
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: this thing. Man. Have you sitting up somewhere doing doing it,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: saying and feeling something you never knew you was capable
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: of feeling. Hey man, I remember the doctor told me
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: when my mama passed. He said, you know, because my
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: mother had a stroke and she was really she was
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: really gone. You know. When I got to the hospital,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: she was on a ventilator and the doctor said he
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: was just telling the family member and me and my
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: brothers were sitting there. He said, well she's gone. She
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: she she won't live through the night. And my brothers
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: stood up and said, well you ain't either. Whoa God,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: because that's where he was. You know. She said, he
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna live through not. My brothers stood him said, okay,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: then you ain't either. I want you to understand he
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: was dead serious. It took my older sister Mona calmed
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: his ass down because he was dead serious. Yeah, ain't yeh,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: ain't no problem. I tell you what. Okay, cool, since
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: you over here talking freely, let me give you something
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to think about. And then the cold Paul Well, me
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: and Maula brother, we was good with it. Wow. You
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: know people deal with grief differently, man, I don't. I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: don't recall hearing as many men openly talk about the
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: passing of somebody. Coming up next to our last break
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: of the day, and we'll have some closing remarks of
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: course from Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after right
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: after this. You're listening all right here we are, guys,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: last break of the day. Steve, you have some closing
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: remarks for us. I know you do. Yeah, you know.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I want to remind everybody of something that God created
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: us all for greatness. All of us were created in
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: his likeness. All of us were created to be an
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: example of what God can do in people's lives. We
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: were all created for this. What happens along the way
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: is we make decisions. Because God gave us the power
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: of choice. We make decisions at people as people that
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: counteract what God really intended for us. And one of
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: the reasons we counteract what God intended for us is
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: because the devil's main job the opposition is to not
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: allow you to reach your potential. See the devil don't
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: ever want you to reach your potential because then he'll
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: have another child of God out there spreading the word
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: and showing off and being an example of what light
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: can do and what love can do, and what the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: power of prayer can do. So his job is to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: make each and every one of us fall by the wayside.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: That's his constant mission in life. To make us think
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: we're not worthy, to make us think we can't, to
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: make us think it ain't possible, to make us look
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: at our environment, to make us feel like, well, it's
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: because I'm this, I can't be that. Ain't none of
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: that truth, None of that is true. I bought a
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: book the other day by Joel Oldstein because I was
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: listening to him over the weekend and he sent this.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: He was talking about his new book called Next Level Thinking,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: and I bought the book. And because I constantly try
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: to reinforce myself. As successful as you may think I am,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I still have a ways to go and I will
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: always try to improve myself. And people like Joel os To,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes, Bishop Olmer, Bishop Getties down there in North Carolina.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: My boy, you know it's a lot Charles Jenkins up
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: in Chicago. There's a lot of dudes, man that called
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: me to make sure I'm okay. Check in on me. Tyler,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: check in on me, doctor Phield, check in on me.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I got a lot a lot of people check in
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: on me, man, make sure I'm okay. I was reading
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: his book because it's just I just needed some more
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: information and one of the things I had learned from
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: his book. But in the first chapter, the title of
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: his chapters be a barrier Breaker, Be a barrier Breaker.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: And throughout the book it just talks about your surroundings,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: your environment. That because you're from a family who ain't
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: nobody never made it out, don't mean that you have
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: to not be one of that. You have to be
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: one of those and not make it out because you
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: come from a hood that don't have a whole lot
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: of millionaires made from that hood. That don't mean that
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you can't be a barrier breaker and be one of
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: the millionaires from the hood. Just because nobody on your
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: block ever went to college, don't mean you can't be
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: the first one. Maybe nobody in your family ever went
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: to school, you're the first one. Maybe nobody in your
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: family ever became a supervisor at a post office or
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: the FedEx or UPS or anyplace else. Don't mean that
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: you can't. You can become a barrier breaker. But see
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: what a lot of us do is we get so
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: immersed in our environment that we adapt to our environment,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: and we must we act like this is it? Well,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: if God had wanted me to be rich, I'd have
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: been born rich. What what did you say? I heard
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: of guy say that if God had wanted me to
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: be rich, I would have been born rich. So let
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: me ask you something, brother, all these people that have
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: gone from poverty to riches, what was their excuse or
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: what mindset did they use to become a barrier breaker,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: to break the barrier poverty to become well off. I
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: chose to be a barrier breaker. I knew what my
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: family was. I loved my family dearly and still do.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: But what my family had I didn't want. As much
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: as I loved my mother and father, what my father
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: was and how hard I saw him work, I didn't
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: want that. I wanted something else. Now, do I appreciate
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the work as to keep putting, most certainly do that.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I appreciate the faith in the fear of God that
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: my Mamma put in me. Oh, I most certainly do.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: But I didn't want to be the warre sitting at
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: the church on the usher board. I didn't want that.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: I didn't want to work as hard as my father
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: and make the same money as my father. I wanted
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to something else. I wanted to be a barrier breaker.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: A barrier breaker. And one of the things he talked
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: about in the book is that so often we led
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: our environment and how we were raised, and other people's
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: expectation of us set limits in our life. He was
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: saying that we adapt to what's around us. So what
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: he said in the book I wanted to share with
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you all. In the book, he said that if you
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: take an oak tree seed, the seed of an oak tree,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: and you plant this seed from this oak tree, in
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: a two foot pot. That oak tree will never become
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: what it was created to be if you leave it
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: in that pot, not because there's something wrong with the seed,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: but because of the environment is in. Did you hear
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: what I just said. There is nothing wrong with you.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: The problem is your environment. If you stay in the environment,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: you will never grow. But you can choose to become
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: a barrier breaker and get out of any environment that
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: you're in. You can escape poverty, you can escape the hood,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: you can escape bad thinking people. You can escape the
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: dope game. You can become non addicted to drugs. You
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: can stop being an alcoholic. You can stop with God's help.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: If you take an oak tree seed and you plant
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: it in a two foot pot, that tree will never
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: become what it was created to be if you leave
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: it in the pot, not cause there's something wrong with
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the seed, but because the environment is in. You got
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: to change your environment. You fine, You got to see
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: you got everything you need to grow? You did. Those
