  I'm thinking today, again, of Psalm 47 .3. It

  says, He subdues people under us and puts all

  nations under our feet. Sounds almost like a

  battle cry for a theocracy or like a religious
• 0:13
  country, but it isn't like that. We are the kingdom
• 0:15
  of God. We submit to God and He is in charge
• 0:18
  of us. It occurs, then, that we are the people
• 0:21
  of Christ who are somewhat destined to suffer
• 0:23
  as Christ suffered. When we do, if we don't understand
• 0:26
  the purpose of that suffering, it can feel like
• 0:28
  we are losing. Jesus died on a cross at the hands
• 0:31
  of those who would claim to be the people of
• 0:32
  God, but in truth had chosen a path preferring
• 0:35
  the things of this world. We must not fall into
• 0:38
  that same trap, but rather realize the better
• 0:41
  thing. His presence, our eternal salvation, has
• 0:44
  been reserved for us. Looks can be deceiving.
• 0:47
  Hence, we are called to walk by faith, not by
• 0:50
  sight. The more we face hardships, perhaps, or
• 0:54
  it may be true the more we face prosperity, that
• 0:56
  we must realize the insignificance of hardships
• 0:59
  and prosperity of this life and the absolute
• 1:02
  significance of being chosen by God as his people.

  Choose truth, choose eternity, and trust God.
