Latest / Life For Toledo / What it Means to Belong to His Kingdom Psalm 47:3 Part 2

- 0:00I'm thinking today, again, of Psalm 47 .3. It
- 0:03says, He subdues people under us and puts all
- 0:06nations under our feet. Sounds almost like a
- 0:09battle cry for a theocracy or like a religious
- 0:13country, but it isn't like that. We are the kingdom
- 0:15of God. We submit to God and He is in charge
- 0:18of us. It occurs, then, that we are the people
- 0:21of Christ who are somewhat destined to suffer
- 0:23as Christ suffered. When we do, if we don't understand
- 0:26the purpose of that suffering, it can feel like
- 0:28we are losing. Jesus died on a cross at the hands
- 0:31of those who would claim to be the people of
- 0:32God, but in truth had chosen a path preferring
- 0:35the things of this world. We must not fall into
- 0:38that same trap, but rather realize the better
- 0:41thing. His presence, our eternal salvation, has
- 0:44been reserved for us. Looks can be deceiving.
- 0:47Hence, we are called to walk by faith, not by
- 0:50sight. The more we face hardships, perhaps, or
- 0:54it may be true the more we face prosperity, that
- 0:56we must realize the insignificance of hardships
- 0:59and prosperity of this life and the absolute
- 1:02significance of being chosen by God as his people.
- 1:05Choose truth, choose eternity, and trust God.
