- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like a million bucks bus things and it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not doing me good. Mother, stolen joy. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn very You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out. The water, the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your bab, I will a good morning everybody.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Y'all listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now
- 2:10Speaker 1: one it only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:14Speaker 1: God is in a blessing business. I'm in the receiving line, man.
- 2:19Speaker 1: That's a good feeling. I thank God for waking me
- 2:23Speaker 1: up in the mornings, I really really do. I thank
- 2:27Speaker 1: God for the spirit that he wakes me up with
- 2:29Speaker 1: because I finally, but I finally figured it out. Such
- 2:34Speaker 1: a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. The fact
- 2:37Speaker 1: that you are up today, the fact that you just
- 2:40Speaker 1: got off working, you driving home, the fact that you
- 2:42Speaker 1: got a job to come home from, the fact that
- 2:45Speaker 1: you got a job to wake up too. Whatever it is,
- 2:48Speaker 1: the fact that you can see, think here, smell, walk, talk, rhyme, reason,
- 2:55Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing Man. I was talking
- 2:58Speaker 1: to a partner mine Land last night, and an analogy
- 3:02Speaker 1: came to me last night of what my life has
- 3:04Speaker 1: been like. Just going over my story with a friend
- 3:07Speaker 1: of matter, all some of the things I had gone through,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and he never knew it because he said, man, you
- 3:13Speaker 1: never told me that we were just talking. One of
- 3:16Speaker 1: the things I remember, and it's kind of equated to
- 3:20Speaker 1: my life, was when I was a little boy and
- 3:25Speaker 1: she'd go to the store with my mom and she
- 3:29Speaker 1: would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for those
- 3:33Speaker 1: of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box that
- 3:36Speaker 1: are no instructions. It just comes in a box and
- 3:41Speaker 1: it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in a
- 3:44Speaker 1: pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces together
- 3:49Speaker 1: until it looks like the picture that's on the cover
- 3:53Speaker 1: of the box. That's as simple as it is. Here
- 3:59Speaker 1: is the d H. I would select a jigsaw puzzle
- 4:06Speaker 1: based on the picture that I liked and if I
- 4:12Speaker 1: thought I could do it. Now, if the picture looked
- 4:16Speaker 1: too crazy, if it looked too intricate, I didn't want
- 4:20Speaker 1: that puzzle, you know. And the thing was, back in
- 4:24Speaker 1: the day you got a jigsaw puzzle. You had a
- 4:26Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred piece puzzles, man, then they
- 4:29Speaker 1: say a thousand piece puzzle. You go, oh. So those
- 4:34Speaker 1: were a little difficult for me when I was a
- 4:36Speaker 1: little boy, so I didn't want that. As I got
- 4:40Speaker 1: a little bit older, I had more challenging puzzles, you know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: four fifty five hundred piece puzzles. But I always picked
- 4:51Speaker 1: a picture of something I liked. So it's very simple.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You get the jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you
- 4:57Speaker 1: open it up, you dump it out on the table.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You flipped all the pieces over so you can see them,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and then I would try to saw them based on
- 5:08Speaker 1: the colors on the box. If it was like a
- 5:11Speaker 1: black section, I'd take all the black pieces and slide
- 5:14Speaker 1: them over there. If it was some flowers, I try
- 5:16Speaker 1: to find all the pictures with little jigsaw pieces with
- 5:19Speaker 1: the little floor, and I separate them. And then I
- 5:22Speaker 1: started putting it together. And the way I started was
- 5:25Speaker 1: I try to build the border first, because I knew
- 5:28Speaker 1: all the straight edges had to be side by side
- 5:31Speaker 1: at one point. And it was funny, man, because it's
- 5:34Speaker 1: related to my life. I would start putting the pieces
- 5:38Speaker 1: together of the picture I saw that I liked, and
- 5:44Speaker 1: that would be my picture. A lot of people didn't
- 5:47Speaker 1: like Jig saw puzzles. As a matter of fact, none
- 5:51Speaker 1: of the boys on the street like Jig saw puzzles
- 5:54Speaker 1: but me, because they just didn't want to go through
- 5:57Speaker 1: the intricate details of figuring that out. Really go outside
- 6:01Speaker 1: and run or something like that. And so what happened was,
- 6:05Speaker 1: as I got older, I wanted more difficult than challenging puzzles,
- 6:10Speaker 1: but I wouldn't go too far. I wanted some nice
- 6:13Speaker 1: stuff to happen. I had a picture of what I
- 6:15Speaker 1: wanted for my life, but I didn't want to go
- 6:18Speaker 1: too far because it was so challenging and difficult. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: couldn't see myself at all of that, and I didn't
- 6:25Speaker 1: have the time, the knowledge, the expertise to figuring all
- 6:30Speaker 1: the intricate detail. And I discovered something when I was
- 6:34Speaker 1: talking last night. That's what happens in life to a
- 6:38Speaker 1: lot of people. You get bogged down with the details
- 6:42Speaker 1: of coming up and trying to create the picture that
- 6:44Speaker 1: you want for yourself. You put it to the side.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You said all that puzzles are crazy. Next thing you know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you crumble it up and put it back in the box.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So you go halfway and you get stuck, and you
- 6:55Speaker 1: get to the part where it ain't a lot of
- 6:56Speaker 1: different colors. It's all the same, and that's a little
- 6:59Speaker 1: bit more challenge. So that may stop you. But it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: somewhere in the jigsaw puzzle that it gets very difficult
- 7:05Speaker 1: and challenging. The bigger the picture you want, but then
- 7:10Speaker 1: what a happened in your life, It's just like what
- 7:14Speaker 1: ha happened in the jigsaw. Once you get comfortable and
- 7:18Speaker 1: you don't mind the challenge, you could get a bigger picture.
- 7:23Speaker 1: But here's the key to it, though, if you put
- 7:27Speaker 1: God in your mix. See the picture that I saw
- 7:31Speaker 1: for myself as a boy is not the picture that
- 7:34Speaker 1: has happened to me as a man. Because along the
- 7:38Speaker 1: way from boyhood to manhood, from the time I was ten,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you understand what happened along the riding now was I
- 7:47Speaker 1: started putting God in the mix. And so now the
- 7:50Speaker 1: picture that I have now is not the picture I saw.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It's the picture that God saw. So what I'm saying
- 7:58Speaker 1: this analogy is the picture you have may be difficult
- 8:03Speaker 1: to complete, but if you were to include God in
- 8:07Speaker 1: your life. Put God in your jigsaw puzzle. God will
- 8:12Speaker 1: not only help you complete the puzzle, and he gonna
- 8:15Speaker 1: add some pieces, he gonna do some favors, he gonna
- 8:19Speaker 1: show some mercy, and you're gonna look up and the
- 8:22Speaker 1: picture that you're able to end up with or be
- 8:24Speaker 1: totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful or
- 8:29Speaker 1: bigger picture than the one you had. Because there's no
- 8:32Speaker 1: way that I could have saw the life that I
- 8:34Speaker 1: have today back when I was a boy. And it
- 8:38Speaker 1: amazes me when I hear people say I always saw
- 8:40Speaker 1: this for myself. I didn't do that. I didn't quite
- 8:44Speaker 1: see this for myself. I don't know how you can
- 8:46Speaker 1: have the ability to see what God really has for you.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But man, he's a masterful jigsaw man. He's an incredible
- 8:54Speaker 1: puzzle complet So if you got a puzzle that's challenging
- 8:57Speaker 1: to you, maybe you need to see what it's the
- 9:00Speaker 1: picture that God has for your life. If God were
- 9:04Speaker 1: in your life, if you completed the puzzle, what would
- 9:08Speaker 1: it look like. It'll be a far more extensive puzzle,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and it would be a far more beautiful piece of
- 9:15Speaker 1: scenery than you could have ever imagined. Tears come in
- 9:19Speaker 1: my eyes because I can't believe God bought me this far.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I can't believe that when I opened up and accepted
- 9:26Speaker 1: him and started talking to him, that he would add
- 9:29Speaker 1: all these pieceles to my jigsaw puzzle, and my jigsaw
- 9:32Speaker 1: puzzle would look like this. And I can tell you
- 9:35Speaker 1: I ain't got a whole lot to do with with
- 9:38Speaker 1: with what I had and turned into, it's mostly favored
- 9:41Speaker 1: and blessings and grace and mercy of God. And I
- 9:44Speaker 1: looked up and I just got a much bigger jigsaw
- 9:47Speaker 1: puzzle completed. And guess what, He ain't through with me yet.
- 9:51Speaker 1: That's what's amazing and exciting about a relationship with God.
- 9:55Speaker 1: God could take your jigsaw puzzle and fix it. Good
- 10:00Speaker 1: morning show, ladies and gentlemen, The time is up, partners
- 10:05Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show, loud and clear, vivid color

- 10:21Speaker 1: gratitude that one can possess with being provided and yet
- 10:26Speaker 1: another opportunity to get it on, to live long, to
- 10:31Speaker 1: be strong, to carry on. Thank you, Heavning Father for
- 10:35Speaker 1: this blessing. I greet you with open arms and praise

- 11:33Speaker 1: a little bit interesting. Oh. I got a dark week
- 11:39Speaker 1: too from taping, so I'm probably gonna try to go somewhere.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, but I've decided to just
- 11:48Speaker 1: enjoy my life more instead of just packing every single
- 11:52Speaker 1: waking minute with work. You know. I used to get
- 11:55Speaker 1: my dark week and I put my other show on
- 11:57Speaker 1: the dark week, and I just work, work, work, work work.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm decided I'm gonna stop doing that, man, go and
- 12:04Speaker 1: enjoy my life while I got it. Yeah, short is short,
- 12:10Speaker 1: that is told us anything. I'll see these ideas summer.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Don't even know what what I did. You gonna got
- 12:20Speaker 1: from me? On where he needs to? Let me get
- 12:23Speaker 1: this weekend. This weekend, the pool opened up at my apartment.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You come through an apartment poo, you go to an
- 12:34Speaker 1: apartment pool. Hold on, hold on, hold hold on, Jay,
- 12:38Speaker 1: hold on. Let me ask it, ste how many pools
- 12:41Speaker 1: you got? Put that all my house? He said he did. Yes,
- 12:47Speaker 1: Steve just not say he was going to enjoy himself more,
- 12:51Speaker 1: do different things. He just said that. So, John, I
- 12:54Speaker 1: don't want to go to the apartment pool. Well, um,
- 12:57Speaker 1: but you know how good I'm gonna look if you come, well,
- 12:59Speaker 1: I'm beating you. I didn't need you to fall through.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Don't fall through and sit at your own. That's it,
- 13:15Speaker 1: n right, man, all you need, junior man minutes, it's
- 13:21Speaker 1: all I need. That's what You're gonna love it all right,
- 13:26Speaker 1: Julia might do that, man, something different, do regular stuff
- 13:32Speaker 1: regular Steve, Okay, I love it all right. Coming up
- 13:36Speaker 1: with thirty two minutes after the hour, asked the Cello
- 13:39Speaker 1: Chief Love Officers, Steve Harvey in the building right after
- 13:42Speaker 1: this regular Steve, I love it. You're listening to show.
- 13:48Speaker 1: All right, guys, it is time for ask the clo
- 13:53Speaker 1: Are you ready is the question? Laughing? Okay, here we go,
- 14:00Speaker 1: Blonnie and Augusta says, my mother and I fell out
- 14:04Speaker 1: over the guys she's seeing. She is seventy seven and
- 14:06Speaker 1: he is fifty one, and he's moved in and living
- 14:09Speaker 1: off her retirement and her social Security check. When I
- 14:13Speaker 1: go over there, the house is a mess and his
- 14:15Speaker 1: friends are usually there. Mother has already been the type too,
- 14:20Speaker 1: has always been the type to need a man, any
- 14:22Speaker 1: man around her doating over her. The final straw for
- 14:26Speaker 1: me was when she called and said that this man's
- 14:28Speaker 1: twenty eight year old daughter and three months old baby
- 14:31Speaker 1: will be staying with her temporarily. This is insane. How
- 14:35Speaker 1: do I stop this madness? Wow, Cello, I don't know.
- 14:40Speaker 1: This ain't a Chief Love officer question. This is a
- 14:43Speaker 1: social service Yeah, yeah, you need to call You need
- 14:48Speaker 1: to call in down to the office. You know, these
- 14:53Speaker 1: are social services issues right here. I don't know how,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but over there with babies, no, I mean her mama
- 14:59Speaker 1: seventy seven, she'd have made a decision. She'd been doing
- 15:03Speaker 1: this for a long time. This man fifty one being
- 15:07Speaker 1: used the friends is always over there. Not a daughter
- 15:10Speaker 1: and the baby baby fitting to move in. She canna
- 15:14Speaker 1: have a lot of company. I don't know, you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: I mean, maybe that's what she liked the daughter. Maybe
- 15:19Speaker 1: the daughter. The daughter might have to understand her mama
- 15:22Speaker 1: likes company at this age and want people around her
- 15:25Speaker 1: all the time, and maybe Field makes her feel vibrant.
- 15:28Speaker 1: She may have to come to that. I know it
- 15:30Speaker 1: sounds crazy for your mama. I know they're using your mama,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but if she don't see it that way, I can't
- 15:36Speaker 1: make them, and I'm not sure if you can too. Wow,
- 15:41Speaker 1: living off her retirement and her Social Security check, Okay,
- 15:45Speaker 1: that ain't a lot of living. Should what to hell?
- 15:49Speaker 1: All the people in there doing all right? Well, Christie,
- 15:54Speaker 1: we're moving on. CHRISTI and Southfield, Michigan says. I'm a
- 15:57Speaker 1: twenty nine year old teacher and I was in a
- 15:59Speaker 1: friend with benefits relationship for a year with the principle
- 16:03Speaker 1: of my school. We kept it low key because we
- 16:05Speaker 1: worked together, and during the pandemic, he said he was
- 16:08Speaker 1: falling from me, and I was overjoyed because I love
- 16:11Speaker 1: this man and I thought we could finally stop hiding.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I was wrong. Last weekend I saw him at Whole
- 16:17Speaker 1: Foods and I met his wife. She was pregnant. He
- 16:21Speaker 1: texted me later that day. Yeah, he texted me later
- 16:24Speaker 1: that day and said he only married her because of
- 16:26Speaker 1: the baby. My heart dropped. Is he being honest about
- 16:30Speaker 1: his feelings for me? Or was I just a side piece? No? No, no,
- 16:35Speaker 1: he married her, just calls it a baby that's been
- 16:40Speaker 1: his wife. Yeah. Yeah, this ain't a shotgun when that's
- 16:45Speaker 1: been his wife. They planned that baby. Sorry, sister. Yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I don't know how with all his stuff. Ladies, I
- 16:56Speaker 1: mean really, and I'm not mad at you. I'm not dogging,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but you gotta be smarter these days. Y'all have too
- 17:02Speaker 1: much stuff on access where you can go on their
- 17:06Speaker 1: social pages. You can ask questions, you can google, you
- 17:10Speaker 1: can find out stuff. Everybody got a friend in the
- 17:14Speaker 1: police department. Every grown woman got a girlfriend that data
- 17:23Speaker 1: the police officer, got a family member that's a policeman
- 17:26Speaker 1: or something. Run these license plates so you can find
- 17:32Speaker 1: out this man. All you gotta do get thyself security them.
- 17:37Speaker 1: This stuff ain't hard. You're right, all right? Moving on
- 17:42Speaker 1: Valencia and The DMV says, my forty four year old
- 17:45Speaker 1: ex husband is a hater and he keeps throwing shade
- 17:48Speaker 1: because I beat him at his own game. He cheated
- 17:50Speaker 1: on me, I cheated back, and now he can't take it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: He had the nerve to have a woman come into
- 17:56Speaker 1: our garage and give him an oral exchange in his
- 17:59Speaker 1: car while he thought I was asleep one night. So
- 18:02Speaker 1: I did him one better and I had sex in
- 18:05Speaker 1: our bedroom with my ex boyfriend and I sent him pictures. God, yes, yes,
- 18:12Speaker 1: this is ugly. Right. Yeah, we're getting divorced and he's
- 18:16Speaker 1: trying to get sympathy wherever he can. How can I
- 18:19Speaker 1: get him to be happy with with his mistress and
- 18:21Speaker 1: keep my name out of his mouth? Who? Whoa keep
- 18:27Speaker 1: your name out of his mouth? Didn't y'all didn't you
- 18:32Speaker 1: do this to shame him? How y'all? How y'all do
- 18:37Speaker 1: all this dirt to each other and then all expect
- 18:39Speaker 1: everybody a clean I don't understand. I'm at a loss.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'm very confused here. He had a woman do an
- 18:49Speaker 1: all exchange on him in the garage while he thought
- 18:51Speaker 1: you were sleep. You want up to him and had
- 18:53Speaker 1: your ex boyfriend come to y'all's house in your bed.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I don't know who this fool is that did that
- 19:00Speaker 1: could have got shot in his back. But I don't
- 19:02Speaker 1: know who this dumb ass boy is that did this.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But now, all y'all tricky. Two wrongs don't make it
- 19:09Speaker 1: right and wrong number three or four ain't gonna make
- 19:11Speaker 1: it right either. So how can I how can you
- 19:13Speaker 1: keep your name out of his mouth? He don't try
- 19:17Speaker 1: to keep stuff out people's mouth. Okay, yeah, just get
- 19:29Speaker 1: divorced and man, yeah, all right, I do you're dating
- 19:38Speaker 1: a woman who has a dog. It's obvious that this
- 19:42Speaker 1: dog don't like your ass. What heck do you do?
- 19:48Speaker 1: What do you do? Well, I'll do one of two things.
- 19:55Speaker 1: First thing, I'll let her make the decision the dog
- 19:58Speaker 1: on me, because I ain't gonna keep coming over here
- 20:00Speaker 1: getting bit Oh he's biting you too. Well, I'm just saying,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I ain't gonna come here kick getting ground at, snipped
- 20:09Speaker 1: that ball at, all this mess. I'm not gonna do
- 20:11Speaker 1: that every time I come on. So what I'm gonna
- 20:14Speaker 1: do is I'm gonna make one one of the things
- 20:18Speaker 1: will be Uh, it's either gonna be the dog or me. Oh,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna brank some specially prepared treats over there, Steve
- 20:30Speaker 1: and your ass in the corner throwing up hard to
- 20:32Speaker 1: ball can throw up at the same inedible. That's what
- 20:37Speaker 1: it sounds like. You're the dog. I'm hereful all right,
- 20:42Speaker 1: thank you, Cella. We'll stop it right there. Uh, coming
- 20:46Speaker 1: up next Church complains with Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening, Coming up at the top
- 20:56Speaker 1: of the hour, guys, Miss Anna standing by with our
- 20:58Speaker 1: national news and then entertainment news. The countdown is on
- 21:02Speaker 1: for the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Also in Trending Gymnastic News.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Did you guys see the most biles? She is the ghost?
- 21:11Speaker 1: All right, we'll talk about all of these stories. Yes,
- 21:14Speaker 1: we'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:16Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now it is time for
- 21:18Speaker 1: some laughter and some fun. Here with our church complaints
- 21:21Speaker 1: is Rebend Motown and Deacon death Jam. Human excute, neshning,
- 21:30Speaker 1: we gavel all go aquariously work on this fontificus daylight
- 21:41Speaker 1: of pontinuity, as we enlightened our overdaciousness of what we
- 21:52Speaker 1: are here in the bytnical. We to do this thing
- 21:59Speaker 1: spect leg you better know I am. Come on, come on,
- 22:08Speaker 1: let's get down to the past. Listen, Deacon John Sherman,
- 22:12Speaker 1: who is bow legged, pigeon told, and knock Need is
- 22:15Speaker 1: asking for dance lessons, but nobody wants to help him. Yo. Come,
- 22:21Speaker 1: we've already labeled him as crazy legs because we need dancing.
- 22:25Speaker 1: It's all over the place. I don't think he need
- 22:27Speaker 1: dance lessons. I just think he needs to just work
- 22:31Speaker 1: on whatever moves he knew to keep all the bow legged,
- 22:34Speaker 1: knock Need and pigeon too, and pigeon told, that's right,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and slew footed. I didn't know that, and I see
- 22:41Speaker 1: that's something new. They didn't tell me he was slew
- 22:42Speaker 1: foot pigeon told, slew footed, knock need and bow legged?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Good god, Yo, whoa going on? That? Sound like that?
- 22:54Speaker 1: They sound broke? Well, he can walk, but you know
- 22:57Speaker 1: night and then each each leg acts individually at different times.
- 23:03Speaker 1: So I think his best thing is to get into
- 23:06Speaker 1: pop locket and kill the game with that girl ahead.
- 23:14Speaker 1: All right, here's another problem. Passing brother Andre Bailey got
- 23:21Speaker 1: the visor Maderner and the Johnson shot and it's now
- 23:26Speaker 1: premiering on this new TV show called Saved Naked and Afraid.
- 23:31Speaker 1: He's feeling invincible that they want you to talk to him.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Side note, you need to know that he is blessed.
- 23:38Speaker 1: That's what they're saying. So I just I'm fine with
- 23:40Speaker 1: him being on this show or I feel no man
- 23:44Speaker 1: who is blessed, because I'm very secure with that. We
- 23:50Speaker 1: could just be on the show together and just we
- 23:53Speaker 1: just be standing in to just see who give first.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. He's taking all these vaccines,
- 24:02Speaker 1: you say, deacon yea pastor. He's had the fire, the Maderna,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and the Johnson and now he's on the new TV
- 24:09Speaker 1: show Saved Naked and Afraid. That's what he's on. Willie
- 24:15Speaker 1: got Willie got plenty protection, gets COVID. But what he
- 24:18Speaker 1: got to worry about doing mosquitoes and that malaria. It's
- 24:22Speaker 1: a whole other vide. Yeah, only what the hell he
- 24:26Speaker 1: think he gonna do? And them ticks don't give a
- 24:29Speaker 1: damn what you didn't dook. Okay, there we go. All
- 24:33Speaker 1: the men who have painted their beards on, We're asking
- 24:38Speaker 1: them passer to choose a color according to the age group.
- 24:40Speaker 1: If you over sixty, jet black does not apply for
- 24:44Speaker 1: you now, pastor they're asking about what type of color
- 24:48Speaker 1: you're using on your mustache. That's what the members want
- 24:51Speaker 1: to now, Well, what they really need to do is
- 24:53Speaker 1: go with real black or real black is the color,
- 24:57Speaker 1: not jet black jet black hair. If you looking like
- 25:00Speaker 1: the man that due the commercial for oxy clean in
- 25:06Speaker 1: the world where you can seal your boat and ride
- 25:10Speaker 1: it across the ever gleage your hair that black. Ain't
- 25:14Speaker 1: nobody believing that real black is the color you want?
- 25:18Speaker 1: Real black, not yet black, real black all you mean
- 25:22Speaker 1: out there with the beards and real black is what
- 25:25Speaker 1: you want, not yet all right, Now, we got a problem.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Brother Simon Finley fell asleep watching the Underground Railroad TV show.
- 25:36Speaker 1: He walked up in the middle of the night and
- 25:39Speaker 1: left his house headed the New York on foot. He
- 25:42Speaker 1: is in the woods in Georgia and they can't stop
- 25:47Speaker 1: him from running. You're gonna have to try to get
- 25:49Speaker 1: out there and talk to him. Pass I think faulting
- 25:52Speaker 1: to sleep on the TV show US, what did it? Well?
- 25:55Speaker 1: If he can't, if he won't stop running, where is
- 25:57Speaker 1: he now? He's in the US and Georges, but he's
- 26:01Speaker 1: filling the North Star. He's headed to New York is
- 26:03Speaker 1: from what I understand, Well, let men ain't nobody got
- 26:07Speaker 1: no hounds here we go. I mean, if I mean,
- 26:13Speaker 1: if you want to be the TV show, let's get it,
- 26:16Speaker 1: you know, let's just get it on. Put some hounds
- 26:19Speaker 1: in behind his ass. We run him down in no time.
- 26:26Speaker 1: All right, Moving around aloud. One of the junior pastors,
- 26:31Speaker 1: your young Elijah demosn in the church, wants to challenge
- 26:36Speaker 1: you to preach off any book in the Bible any
- 26:41Speaker 1: day in that place. Are you up for a path?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Little lies, you're gonna get your little draws snatched off.
- 26:49Speaker 1: You don't know who you message with. Boy, I didn't
- 26:53Speaker 1: out preach the preaching this preachers. I'm gonna ask somebody
- 26:57Speaker 1: about me. I didn't out preach the preaching this preacher.
- 27:01Speaker 1: You better ask somebody about me. I can take a
- 27:05Speaker 1: nursery rhyme, maybe maybe a little lamb for leice. Why
- 27:18Speaker 1: that's now one real wall, I said, re waw ray
- 27:29Speaker 1: win lamb. I said the lamb your show show to go,
- 27:41Speaker 1: come on here now. I don't know if you had
- 27:43Speaker 1: lamb chops. I don't care if you had lamb stew.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I don't care if you wear lamb sweather. I don't
- 27:51Speaker 1: care what the lamb me do you. I ain't talking
- 27:55Speaker 1: about you. I'm talking about Mary little lamb. Mary had
- 28:00Speaker 1: a little lamp, seize wid a snow boy. I can
- 28:07Speaker 1: take a nursery rhyme and turn it into a sermon. Hi, Dad,
- 28:11Speaker 1: you bring your young ass over here thinking you I'll
- 28:16Speaker 1: preach a preacher literal lies you. Your name might have
- 28:21Speaker 1: come out the Bible, but you're gonna stepped out yourself
- 28:26Speaker 1: if you think you can come over here and I'll
- 28:28Speaker 1: preach me. Boy, you don't know jingle bell, horse, jingle bell,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I said a jangle all the way. What fun it
- 28:45Speaker 1: is to ride in one halls old personally. Now, I
- 28:53Speaker 1: lay me down to sleep, pray the Lord, my son.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Keep that's preaching, boy, Yes it is. Thank you Reverend

- 30:23Speaker 1: It's the black girl magic for us. We gotta say this.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Simone Biles made history this weekend in Indianapolis at the
- 30:31Speaker 1: US Classics. She's twenty four years old. Simone Biles became
- 30:35Speaker 1: the first gymnast ever to lando your Chenko double pike
- 30:41Speaker 1: and she rocked her rhinestone goat leopard leotard and made history.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's the your Shenko double pike. Let me
- 30:51Speaker 1: tell you, it was unbelievable what she did. It's unbelievable
- 30:55Speaker 1: what she did. She defied all under all disunbelievable. It's amazing. Yeah, rumbling,
- 31:03Speaker 1: it's just yes, and it's effortless, speakable, it's effortless. It's
- 31:10Speaker 1: like she's floating and flying. She's you know what when
- 31:14Speaker 1: you do moves like that, you know what they do,
- 31:16Speaker 1: they outlaw the move. We can't do that. Nobody else
- 31:20Speaker 1: do it. They do it all the time. They really
- 31:23Speaker 1: do it. Girl. No, did you see the that was
- 31:28Speaker 1: I think it was an analyst for NBC and they
- 31:31Speaker 1: were talking about the Tokyo Olympics coming up, and one
- 31:34Speaker 1: of the gymnasts, one of the analysts said, uh, Simone Biles,
- 31:38Speaker 1: lets her, you know, her gymnastics speaks for it because
- 31:41Speaker 1: she when she did that, she said, the queen has spoken.
- 31:46Speaker 1: When the announcers give you the queen title. I just
- 31:55Speaker 1: like how she just moves, I mean ahead, girl, unbelievable, man, yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm just blown away by there's no gravity when you
- 32:03Speaker 1: watch her, there's no gravity. Yes, and to run, but
- 32:12Speaker 1: she needs that speed in order to do all those
- 32:14Speaker 1: tumbles on the dismount, right, she has to get that
- 32:17Speaker 1: speed up hour. I can't even do a forward roll
- 32:25Speaker 1: and sprain to my feet right right. Yeah, man, yeah, congratulation. Hey,
- 32:36Speaker 1: we want to say a very very special happy birthday
- 32:39Speaker 1: to one of the living legends, one of the greatest
- 32:42Speaker 1: female vocalists of all times. That dog gonna miss Patty LaBelle,
- 32:47Speaker 1: Patty Label Patty LaBelle fine behind turns seventy seven to day. Yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 1: fine as she want to be pat We love you,
- 32:59Speaker 1: miss Patty, beautiful person. We never stop being a wonderful person.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Happy birthday, paddler Bill. Yeah, all right, Steeve. Time now
- 33:08Speaker 1: for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, good morning,
- 33:13Speaker 1: Thank you everybody. It's this Antwerp at the news. The
- 33:16Speaker 1: Egyptian mediated ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is apparently holding.
- 33:19Speaker 1: When I get that out of the way first, so
- 33:21Speaker 1: you know. However, the Godza strip is reportedly in ruins.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the brutal police
- 33:27Speaker 1: killing of mister George Floyd, and members of his family
- 33:30Speaker 1: attended a remembrance rally yesterday in Minneapolis. His name George Floyd,
- 33:37Speaker 1: Say his name, George Floyd was solely strangled to death
- 33:41Speaker 1: by now ex cop named Derek Chauvin merely over a
- 33:43Speaker 1: questionable twenty dollar bill and video of that nine minute
- 33:47Speaker 1: plus outrage sparked protests against police brutality and racism, not
- 33:50Speaker 1: just in this country, but in countries around the world.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Derek Chauvin's scheduled to be sentenced next month. The Minneapolis
- 33:57Speaker 1: mayor says he's urging legislative report for a safety posal,
- 34:00Speaker 1: which he says will keep police accountable. By the way,
- 34:03Speaker 1: now several states either prohibit or limit the use of
- 34:06Speaker 1: chokeholes and any kind of neck restraints by the cops.
- 34:09Speaker 1: The new mayor of Saint Louis, Missouri, to Sharat Jones,
- 34:12Speaker 1: is about some quick changes. She's just reallocated four million
- 34:15Speaker 1: dollars from the police budget in that city, using it
- 34:18Speaker 1: to expand the power of the citizens board that was
- 34:20Speaker 1: supposed to oversee police shootings, but critics said it was
- 34:23Speaker 1: never given any teeth. She also cut all funding for
- 34:26Speaker 1: the city jail nicknamed the Workhouse, because she says community
- 34:30Speaker 1: leaders have been calling for its closure for decades because
- 34:33Speaker 1: of its inhumane conditions, and she says she's promising to
- 34:36Speaker 1: shut that down to get this. Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique
- 34:41Speaker 1: Wilkins says he was turned away from an Atlanta restaurant
- 34:45Speaker 1: yesterday because he's black. A pro Basketball Hall of Famous
- 34:48Speaker 1: says he wanted to be seated at the Ritzy La
- 34:50Speaker 1: Bibliaquette in Buckhead, but was told at first there were
- 34:53Speaker 1: no tables, and then when he said, well, what do
- 34:55Speaker 1: I see some tables, he says, well, it's because you're
- 34:57Speaker 1: not dressed properly. In other words, there was one excuse
- 35:00Speaker 1: after another they didn't want this guy seated. And there's
- 35:02Speaker 1: something from the Atlanta Hawks can't get a seed in
- 35:04Speaker 1: a restaurant in Atlanta. CNN has cut its ties with
- 35:07Speaker 1: one of its senior political analysts, Republican Rick Santorum, over
- 35:10Speaker 1: the marks he recently made about Native American statements considered
- 35:13Speaker 1: not only raceists of rather ignorant. Santorm told a Young
- 35:16Speaker 1: Americans Foundation conference, referring to white people, that quote, we
- 35:19Speaker 1: birthed the nation from nothing. I mean there was nothing here. Finally,
- 35:24Speaker 1: there's an effort to have a star on the Hollywood
- 35:25Speaker 1: Walk of famed African American actress One need a More
- 35:28Speaker 1: nominated for an Oscar for her part as a mother
- 35:30Speaker 1: whose daughter passed for white and the remake of the
- 35:32Speaker 1: movie Imitation of Life. Do you explain to your child.
- 35:36Speaker 1: She was born to be heard, we need a more
- 35:40Speaker 1: featured in over eighty films, and died in twenty fourteen
- 35:42Speaker 1: at age ninety nine. Nominating applications for her, by the way,
- 35:45Speaker 1: have to re receive by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce
- 35:47Speaker 1: by this Friday. Okay, just so, Jano boaks. Now back
- 35:50Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Steven Show.
- 35:55Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, introduce you boys here, ladies
- 35:59Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Jake Anthony Brown I will be at the
- 36:03Speaker 1: Hogpin June the nineteenth in Raleigh, North Carolina. All right,
- 36:09Speaker 1: here we go. The CDC announced the other day that
- 36:13Speaker 1: if you've been vaccinated, you don't have to wear your mask.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Then vaccinated you can go out without your mask. Now.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I don't know if you know this, but they've come
- 36:23Speaker 1: out with a list of things you should stop wearing.
- 36:26Speaker 1: This is a listen thing. This isn't me, it's a CDC.
- 36:29Speaker 1: You should stop wearing. You should stop wearing furry ass
- 36:33Speaker 1: house shoes with a jogging suit. CDC said you should
- 36:37Speaker 1: stop doing that. Okay, if you have not been to college,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you can't wear a college T shirt. Okay, CDC, don't
- 36:46Speaker 1: blame me. You cannot wear the CDC, don't get mad
- 36:51Speaker 1: at me. You cannot wear more than one animal print
- 36:55Speaker 1: at a time. Okay, yes, you can't mix giraffe with zebra.
- 37:03Speaker 1: And these animals don't even like each other in real life.
- 37:09Speaker 1: If you are a black man, you can't wear Black
- 37:13Speaker 1: Lives Matter with your white girlfriend. You can't do that.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Okay, you can't. You just can't. You
- 37:23Speaker 1: you're mixing us up. If you don't have a job,
- 37:27Speaker 1: you can't wear a company T shirt that you don't
- 37:32Speaker 1: work for it. If you don't have a damn job,
- 37:38Speaker 1: you cannot wear an across your head headset with a mouthpiece.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You're not an air traffic controller. Okay, you can't wear it.
- 37:49Speaker 1: You look stupid. Tell your daddy and your uncle. He
- 37:55Speaker 1: looks stupid. If you ride the bus, you can't wear
- 38:00Speaker 1: five hundred dollars tennis shoes in your ass is on
- 38:04Speaker 1: the bus right, okay? If you wear if you wear
- 38:09Speaker 1: daisy dukes, if you wear daisy dukes, if you wear
- 38:13Speaker 1: daisy dukes, you got to put some lotion on your dukes, ladies.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Damnit your ass dukes hanging out. You can't wear don'tch
- 38:25Speaker 1: cabana is that you cannot wear it if you can't
- 38:30Speaker 1: say it or spell it. Take it out. Take it
- 38:33Speaker 1: out and take it, take it completely off. And last,
- 38:39Speaker 1: but not least, if you're gonna wear a lace front wig,
- 38:43Speaker 1: pull it to the front. Okay, it's not a It
- 38:50Speaker 1: don't belong on the back of your head. Pull it
- 38:53Speaker 1: to the damn front. The CDC. It's not me. Don't
- 38:57Speaker 1: get mad at me. Don't don't get angry at me.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Anthony Brown. Coming up in thirty four minutes
- 39:04Speaker 1: after the hours Steven after Tommy has some grilling tips
- 39:09Speaker 1: were coming up on Memorial Day holiday this Monday, just
- 39:12Speaker 1: in time for the weekend. Right after this, you're listening
- 39:15Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Stephen Tommy, you two
- 39:20Speaker 1: are like the grilling experts on the show, the barbecue
- 39:23Speaker 1: experts on the show. So Memorial Day is coming up,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and I wanted to know if you guys had any
- 39:29Speaker 1: tips for us hips for grilling, for grilling. Let me go.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Let me go first. One, you've been cooking, loan out him.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Let me go first. This is what bothers me about
- 39:38Speaker 1: people grilling. Okay, quit putting all that light of fluid
- 39:43Speaker 1: on your charcoal or your rulers. That just drives me crazy.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Do you realize your meat smells just like that light
- 39:52Speaker 1: of fluid. It tastes like that. Oh yeah, come on, man,
- 39:57Speaker 1: get you some wood. They got some natural wood starters
- 40:01Speaker 1: that you can put in there and light those up.
- 40:03Speaker 1: And now your wood or your charcoal, whichever one you're using,
- 40:07Speaker 1: doesn't taste like a smell like all this gas lighter
- 40:10Speaker 1: fluid You didn't put on that. That's that's one of
- 40:12Speaker 1: my tips right there. That's a pet peever, man. So
- 40:16Speaker 1: let me just piggyback off that and say to start
- 40:20Speaker 1: your fire. They sell, they'd sell what time he's talking
- 40:24Speaker 1: about as fire starters. Wood starters wear the little white chunks.
- 40:29Speaker 1: They got match sticks that burn naturally that you can
- 40:32Speaker 1: put on them. But they have these things that look
- 40:35Speaker 1: like coffee cans. They look like a big giant coffee mug.
- 40:40Speaker 1: You put your charcoal in it and light it from
- 40:43Speaker 1: the bottom right, and that can get your charcoal started
- 40:49Speaker 1: a little bit more even for you. You don't pour
- 40:52Speaker 1: the charcoal in the basin of your thing. You pour
- 40:55Speaker 1: the charcoal in this like big round pot. Then start
- 40:59Speaker 1: them like that. Yeah, it's got a handle on it.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Then you just pour it in there and they're burn
- 41:03Speaker 1: Even this is little stuff you can learn. I have
- 41:06Speaker 1: another tip when it's mind turn Okay, here's another people
- 41:10Speaker 1: that people that are you know, amateurs, are grilling. They
- 41:13Speaker 1: throw their chicken on and then you think twenty minutes later, yo,
- 41:16Speaker 1: chicken is done. Yo chicken ain't done it? Yeah, no
- 41:23Speaker 1: it is. Surely this is a sport. And why are
- 41:29Speaker 1: you talking? Why are we talking about cooking? Why trying
- 41:35Speaker 1: to stay awake? Why so long? We'll learn how to
- 41:38Speaker 1: cook awaken The people will come over your house and
- 41:43Speaker 1: not leave so much. If you can cook, you have whatever,
- 41:46Speaker 1: bring something. So listen while you're cooking your chicken, keep
- 41:50Speaker 1: flipping it and don't be afraid the slice of piece,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and see where you are. If you see a little
- 41:56Speaker 1: light red water, you need to cook a little longer.
- 41:59Speaker 1: That means it's still some blood in there. Keep cooking
- 42:01Speaker 1: your chicken, keep flipping it, and keep cooking. That's all
- 42:04Speaker 1: I'm asking. Look, man, grilling, ain't no thing where you
- 42:06Speaker 1: can leave your meat for ten minutes to walk off somewhere.
- 42:09Speaker 1: That ain't There's some people going in the house for
- 42:12Speaker 1: thirty minute. What did you do? You can't do that
- 42:15Speaker 1: when you grilling. Grilling is a sport, it's an activity.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You got to move that chicken to the front, to
- 42:22Speaker 1: the back. Go ahead, okay, okay, let's go back. Yeah,
- 42:27Speaker 1: go ahead, okay. I don't know nothing about grilling. I
- 42:31Speaker 1: think what you guys are saying is great. What is weak?
- 42:34Speaker 1: If you add a barbecue, Please bring good ass plates. Okay.
- 42:39Speaker 1: If the sign says cheap plates. If it says cheap plates,
- 42:44Speaker 1: damn it, don't bring them. Okay, it says cheap plates,
- 42:48Speaker 1: right there, bring good ass plates? All right? Jack, All right,
- 42:52Speaker 1: here's one quicker. I give it back when you when
- 42:55Speaker 1: you he said your charcoals? Are you even them out? Um?
- 42:59Speaker 1: You know when you get when you get it going.
- 43:01Speaker 1: But some of us like to have a real hot
- 43:04Speaker 1: side and then a warm side while you cook it.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You understand. So you may have more wood or mar
- 43:09Speaker 1: charcoals on one side and then on another side you
- 43:11Speaker 1: got you still got wood charcoals, but it's not as
- 43:13Speaker 1: heavy as the other side. That's just one of my tips. Yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 1: My tip is I have the back side of my grill,
- 43:21Speaker 1: I put no charcoal back there on the back side.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I put none so you can move some meat off
- 43:29Speaker 1: that heat if it's cooking too fast. Those you gotta have.
- 43:33Speaker 1: What time he's talking about a cool spot on the grill.
- 43:36Speaker 1: I put no charcoal on the back on the back
- 43:40Speaker 1: forth of the grill, I put no charcoal. This was
- 43:43Speaker 1: so exciting. And you can set the money on. You
- 43:45Speaker 1: can set the meat on top of each piece if
- 43:48Speaker 1: you have to to keep it off the stack. And Shirley,
- 43:52Speaker 1: don't rush us with your non kicking as it's people

- 44:17Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 44:20Speaker 1: subject my ex won't let me meet his boom. We'll
- 44:24Speaker 1: get into that and a little later, yes, but right

- 44:34Speaker 1: what you got for us in f your check bounced?
- 44:38Speaker 1: Your check bounced? Let's go kat Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 44:44Speaker 1: to reach a Monica system. Monica. Please, this is brother DeShawn.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I'm calling Actually I'm a member Greater Commissionary Baptist Church.
- 44:54Speaker 1: How can I help you? Calling you actually about the offering? Now?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Did you I know you paid your tie? Yeah, every Sunday? Okay,
- 45:02Speaker 1: Now you pay a love offering as well? Right? Yes,
- 45:05Speaker 1: I do? Okay, Now this past Sunday. I'm looking at
- 45:09Speaker 1: a check that you left us with the bank, right right,
- 45:12Speaker 1: I sure did. I wrote a check Sunday. Okay. Now
- 45:15Speaker 1: the check, ma'am was two hundred and fifty dollars. Am
- 45:19Speaker 1: I correct? Right? Right? I wrote two checks for my
- 45:22Speaker 1: ties and the love offering? Right? I wrote one for
- 45:25Speaker 1: two fifty for the love offering? Okay? Now what is
- 45:27Speaker 1: this call regarding? Why are you calling me? Well, what
- 45:31Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you is that I hate to
- 45:33Speaker 1: be a bar of bad news, but you your check
- 45:36Speaker 1: that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced. And
- 45:40Speaker 1: wait a minute, you said my check bounce for two
- 45:43Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Your check bounce. So what I'm
- 45:46Speaker 1: doing is calling you about recouping the two fifth as
- 45:49Speaker 1: well as you know you you cost us thirty dollars
- 45:54Speaker 1: in bank fees. But wait a minute, now, I wrote
- 45:56Speaker 1: two checks. I wrote a check for one hundred dollars.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Did that one bounce? I don't see to it that
- 46:01Speaker 1: that that one bounced. All I know is the one
- 46:03Speaker 1: that the love offering has bounced. What did you put
- 46:05Speaker 1: them in at the same time? Because I wrote them
- 46:07Speaker 1: at the same time. They all go in on Monday, ma'am.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Now I didn't put them in at the same time.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I've been putting them in for the last two or
- 46:14Speaker 1: three years. The problem is why would people write, there
- 46:17Speaker 1: is your name, m brother Deshaun, and you was at
- 46:19Speaker 1: it Sunday. I was. I don't think it matters, and
- 46:22Speaker 1: when I was there, man, the problem is that I
- 46:24Speaker 1: didn't put these checks in. And I don't understand why
- 46:27Speaker 1: y'all write these checks to the track knowing that they're
- 46:30Speaker 1: gonna because a lot of people write that good well
- 46:33Speaker 1: not checks one clear? Why the other one didn't clear?
- 46:37Speaker 1: Maybe you didn't have enough money for both of them
- 46:39Speaker 1: to clear? What what did you just say? Maybe you
- 46:42Speaker 1: didn't have enough money in the bank for both of
- 46:44Speaker 1: them to clear. I don't understand why people planning money
- 46:47Speaker 1: in the bank at all. My checks clear I don't
- 46:50Speaker 1: write no rubber checks. Well, you wrote one on Sunday,
- 46:53Speaker 1: and that's the problem. How are you gonna try to
- 46:55Speaker 1: give a look? Wait a minute, I think you got
- 46:57Speaker 1: me confused with somebody else. I don't write no bad check.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You didn't wrote that to be nice to you. I'm
- 47:02Speaker 1: trying to be nice to you. When can we expect
- 47:04Speaker 1: the two fifty plus the thirty dollars? So thirty dollars
- 47:08Speaker 1: that's the bank feeds, ma'am for the dog gonna check bouncing.
- 47:11Speaker 1: My check didn't bounce. I don't check my bank. And
- 47:14Speaker 1: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 47:17Speaker 1: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 47:19Speaker 1: fifty dollars check bounce. I don't write no Why would
- 47:22Speaker 1: you write check? What you want to sit up in
- 47:24Speaker 1: the church and write these big number checks when you
- 47:26Speaker 1: know you ain't got it in the bank. What did
- 47:29Speaker 1: you say? I said, why would you write these checks
- 47:32Speaker 1: when the money ain't in Now, let me tell you
- 47:34Speaker 1: that's one thing. I don't write no bad checks. And
- 47:37Speaker 1: you got a lot nerds calling me telling me my
- 47:40Speaker 1: check bounce. Your check is the one that has bounced,
- 47:43Speaker 1: and you tell you what you do. Since my check bounce,
- 47:46Speaker 1: you paid them, since you got all the money, and
- 47:48Speaker 1: don't call me with this again. Hello, don't you hang
- 47:54Speaker 1: upon me no more? When don't we gonna get this
- 47:56Speaker 1: two fifty and this thirty dollars? Somebody from the church
- 48:01Speaker 1: to my I wrote a bad check? I write, you
- 48:04Speaker 1: did write a bad check. I didn't write no bad Yes,
- 48:06Speaker 1: you damn it. Why are you calling me? Why the treasure?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Don't call me at church? The treasure is business. I
- 48:13Speaker 1: ain't never know the deacon called nobody about no bad check.
- 48:16Speaker 1: You're fully thank you you got the money? I ain't
- 48:21Speaker 1: got Who in the hell is that in the background?
- 48:24Speaker 1: Who is that? Ever? Mine? Who it is? We both
- 48:26Speaker 1: go to the same church, and you're gonna call me
- 48:28Speaker 1: to my I wrote a bad check. You don't you
- 48:30Speaker 1: call me no more? And if the check bads, you paid? Okay?
- 48:34Speaker 1: He passed to know you talking like this. You passed
- 48:37Speaker 1: to know you calling me? Can you ask for that? Look?
- 48:40Speaker 1: When are we gonna get this two hundred and eighty dollars?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Is what we're looking for from you? I wrote a
- 48:44Speaker 1: check for two fifty and not get two eighty. You
- 48:48Speaker 1: put the thirty dollars with it. You put two fifty
- 48:51Speaker 1: in there, it bounce thirty dollars cost us on bank fees.
- 48:54Speaker 1: That's two eighty. Waken the church expect their money. Never
- 48:59Speaker 1: not no two eighty. You will never get to eighty.
- 49:01Speaker 1: You're gonna make me come by your and my check?
- 49:03Speaker 1: Then what did you say? I'm gonna do what You're
- 49:06Speaker 1: gonna make me come by your house and get this money,
- 49:08Speaker 1: bring it own, bring it bring you what is the
- 49:12Speaker 1: address on this check? Check? I got it off the check,
- 49:15Speaker 1: Bring your own. I bet you you'll be limping back
- 49:18Speaker 1: and I'm watching you. You bet not be spending no
- 49:20Speaker 1: money nowhere. You bet not spend nothing until I get
- 49:23Speaker 1: this two fifty plus thirty whatever I want to Okay, No,
- 49:27Speaker 1: you you know where I am, and you don't call
- 49:29Speaker 1: me no more with this because my check did not bounce.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I don't see how one check went through and the
- 49:34Speaker 1: other bounce. Let me say this to you, we cannot
- 49:37Speaker 1: accept you back into the House of the Lord no
- 49:40Speaker 1: more until you are not. Don't you come in the
- 49:43Speaker 1: sunday until we get coming up in the sunday, and
- 49:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure I find your because you the
- 49:49Speaker 1: person I want to see you go. And you know what,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna call the pastor right now and ask him
- 49:54Speaker 1: because I don't believe my check bounce you fully? What?
- 49:57Speaker 1: Let me say this? Before you called pastor I got No,
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna call pastor. No, you should have talked with
- 50:01Speaker 1: pastor before you call me with this information. I got
- 50:04Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say. You ain't got
- 50:06Speaker 1: nothing to say to me. You don't upset me, but
- 50:08Speaker 1: this I'm talking about, I bounced a check. You should
- 50:11Speaker 1: have went to pastor before you call me. With you
- 50:14Speaker 1: I talk pastor one I got, but I got one
- 50:16Speaker 1: more thing to say before I leave. But you're listening.
- 50:18Speaker 1: What are you about to say to me? What do
- 50:20Speaker 1: you have to say now that you're gonna pay the check?
- 50:23Speaker 1: This is Nephew timing from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 53:11Speaker 1: read this one right here, right now. It could be
- 53:16Speaker 1: hold on tight, we got it for you here. It
- 53:19Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter, all right. Subject my ex won't
- 53:23Speaker 1: let me meet his boo. Dear Stephen Shirley. My ex
- 53:27Speaker 1: husband and I are both in our forties and we
- 53:31Speaker 1: have three children under age twelve. We divorced over two
- 53:34Speaker 1: years ago, and recently he allowed his girlfriend to move
- 53:38Speaker 1: into my old house with him. The kids mentioned it,
- 53:41Speaker 1: so I asked my ex to let me meet the
- 53:43Speaker 1: woman that my kids are around. He got upset and
- 53:46Speaker 1: said it's none of my business. I said I should
- 53:50Speaker 1: know who my children are around, and he said all
- 53:53Speaker 1: I need to know is that they're with him, and
- 53:55Speaker 1: that's all that matters. Well, I do happen to know
- 53:58Speaker 1: the woman, and she's a whore he messed with while
- 54:02Speaker 1: we were married, and I'm sure he's afraid for me
- 54:05Speaker 1: to be Yeah, you heard it. You don't even say that,
- 54:11Speaker 1: but that's what it says. It's a letter. Well, I
- 54:14Speaker 1: do having to know the woman, and she's a whore
- 54:16Speaker 1: he messed with while we were married, and I'm sure
- 54:19Speaker 1: he's afraid for me to be face to face with
- 54:21Speaker 1: her because I might snap. It's been years since this happened,
- 54:26Speaker 1: so I'm not tripping at all, But even if it
- 54:29Speaker 1: was another woman, I would want to meet her. He
- 54:32Speaker 1: is planning to take our children and his girlfriend to
- 54:34Speaker 1: Destin when the kids finished with school, and I saw
- 54:38Speaker 1: this on social media because he puts all of his
- 54:41Speaker 1: business out on there. He hasn't mentioned anything to me
- 54:44Speaker 1: and still hasn't set up a meeting between me and
- 54:46Speaker 1: this person he lives with. I still let the children
- 54:49Speaker 1: go visit him, but I think it's very disrespectful that
- 54:52Speaker 1: I don't know this woman. My family says I need
- 54:55Speaker 1: to reach out to her, but that is his job.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I asked him, if the tables are turned and I
- 54:59Speaker 1: had a and living with me, would he like to
- 55:01Speaker 1: meet the man I have around his children? He said
- 55:04Speaker 1: he doesn't ever want to meet another n word that's
- 55:07Speaker 1: with me. He doesn't respect or drop off and pick
- 55:12Speaker 1: up times either, and it's a big ordeal because he
- 55:16Speaker 1: doesn't want me coming by the house. I've kept quiet,
- 55:20Speaker 1: but it hasn't been easy. Should I reach out to
- 55:22Speaker 1: this woman he lives with or let it be well?
- 55:26Speaker 1: I mean, this certainly is your business. Despite what he
- 55:30Speaker 1: said about it being none of your business. It is
- 55:32Speaker 1: your business. I mean, these are your kids and you
- 55:34Speaker 1: have every right to know what's going on with them,
- 55:36Speaker 1: as long as your intentions are pure, and you really
- 55:38Speaker 1: do want to meet this woman and you're not gonna
- 55:40Speaker 1: snap like you say you want to meet this woman
- 55:43Speaker 1: for the reasons you speak of, then okay, you're not wrong.
- 55:46Speaker 1: But the chances of this actually happened, it sounds like
- 55:51Speaker 1: are zero to none. Okay, your trifling ex husband is
- 55:54Speaker 1: just not about to let this happen. He knows he's wrong,
- 55:58Speaker 1: and he's too petty to care about that. I say, Patty,
- 56:01Speaker 1: because it's not about him. It's not about you. It's
- 56:04Speaker 1: not even about the girlfriend. Really, it's about the kids.
- 56:08Speaker 1: That's all you're trying to find out, is that the
- 56:10Speaker 1: kids cool. You want to know what this person's character is,
- 56:13Speaker 1: what she's teaching them. Does she really care for them?
- 56:16Speaker 1: I mean she's living in the home, so they're going
- 56:19Speaker 1: to be around her quite a bit. Does she discipline them?
- 56:22Speaker 1: If she does, How you want to know all those things,
- 56:25Speaker 1: all these questions you want answers to, Well, you do
- 56:28Speaker 1: sound like the adult in this situation. Your husband is
- 56:32Speaker 1: bitter and very disrespectful, as you said, and you're going
- 56:36Speaker 1: to get nowhere with him, so I don't think it'll
- 56:39Speaker 1: hurt anything to reach out to this woman. You can,
- 56:42Speaker 1: but I also say be watchful, listen to your children,
- 56:45Speaker 1: wait for any change in their behavior or anything they
- 56:47Speaker 1: might tell you. They're under twelve, which means you know
- 56:51Speaker 1: they can talk and everything, So if there's any kind
- 56:54Speaker 1: of change, then you speak to your husband about it
- 56:57Speaker 1: if you have to go over there. I don't think
- 56:59Speaker 1: there's a wrong answer here. I just don't. I don't
- 57:02Speaker 1: think there's a wrong answer. You you do it how
- 57:05Speaker 1: you feel you should do it, as their parents. Steve, Well,
- 57:09Speaker 1: we've got a few things going on in this letter.
- 57:12Speaker 1: At first, my ex won't let me meet his boo.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Was a little deceptive, But now that you have children involved,
- 57:19Speaker 1: that changes everything. I was a little confused as I
- 57:23Speaker 1: was reading the letter because it wasn't clear who the
- 57:27Speaker 1: children were with until later on in the letter. They
- 57:30Speaker 1: just go to visit him, So you have custody of
- 57:33Speaker 1: the kids. Now, let's start with a couple of things
- 57:37Speaker 1: I pick up right away. My ex husband and I
- 57:39Speaker 1: both in their forties. Y'all got three children on the
- 57:42Speaker 1: age that we divorced over two years ago. Recently he
- 57:45Speaker 1: allowed his girlfriend to move into my old house with him. See,
- 57:52Speaker 1: once you say that's my old house, that adds a
- 57:55Speaker 1: little extra to sauce in the story. It's obviously not
- 57:59Speaker 1: your house. The kids told you about it, so you
- 58:02Speaker 1: ask your ax and let him meet the woman that
- 58:04Speaker 1: my kids around. He got upset, said that ain't none
- 58:07Speaker 1: of your business. It would be none of your business
- 58:10Speaker 1: if the kids weren't around. But the kids are around,
- 58:14Speaker 1: especially if they talk about vacation together. But here's the
- 58:17Speaker 1: part that who gets trouble. I need to know who
- 58:21Speaker 1: they're with with him, and that's all that mattered. And
- 58:24Speaker 1: then you said, well, I do happen to know the woman,
- 58:28Speaker 1: and she's a whore. Now when you say that lady,
- 58:32Speaker 1: now your old house and she's a whore. Now you
- 58:38Speaker 1: don't like this woman. And then you said, he's afraid
- 58:42Speaker 1: for you to be face to face with her because
- 58:44Speaker 1: I might snap. Well, we're there with your old house,
- 58:47Speaker 1: the whore, and you're gonna snap. That's why you ain't
- 58:50Speaker 1: meeting No damn. All right, we'll have part two of
- 58:56Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject my ex won't let me meet
- 59:01Speaker 1: his boob. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:04Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 59:10Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, subject my ex won't let me meet his boo. Well,
- 59:14Speaker 1: the subject is a little misleading because we didn't know
- 59:17Speaker 1: it was children involved. But children are involved. I think
- 59:20Speaker 1: you should meet him. But let me tell you why
- 59:23Speaker 1: you start to let off wrong. Y'all divorce, you got
- 59:25Speaker 1: three children under twelve. He recently allowed his girlfriend to
- 59:31Speaker 1: move into my old house. If it was your house,
- 59:35Speaker 1: you still be there, especially with possession of the kids.
- 59:40Speaker 1: So I guess you wanted out of the house for
- 59:42Speaker 1: some reason or some reason you weren't awarded the house
- 59:45Speaker 1: or something something to that effect. But it's not your
- 59:48Speaker 1: old house. It's his house. And the kids told you
- 59:53Speaker 1: about that, and you want to meet the woman. But
- 59:55Speaker 1: he said, that's none of your business. I disagree, because
- 59:58Speaker 1: they're kids involved, and you should know who's around my children.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: He said, all I need to know is that she's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: with him, there with him, and that's all the matter.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: And then you said, well, I do happen to know
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the woman she's a whore. Well okay, now naw, we're
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: getting into some other stuff now. Because that's the case.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Meet it's gonna get ugly. And said that he's afraid
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: you to meet a face face because I might snap.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Because this is the woman that slept with your husband.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Why y'all was married. Now you say it's been years
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: since it's happened, so I'm not tripping at all, even
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: if it was another woman I would want to meet,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: or which makes sense. He's planning to take our children
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: and his girlfriend to Destin when the kids finished with school,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and I saw this on social media because he puts
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: all his business on there. He ain't mentioned nothing to
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you and still hasn't set up the meeting between me
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and the person he lives with him. I still let
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: the children go visit him, but I think it's very respectful.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I don't know who this woman is. I agree with you.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I think it is disrespectful. My family says I need
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to reach out to her, but that's his job. Well,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: it's supposed to be his job, but he'd obviously don't
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: do his jobs real well, or else y'all will still
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: be married. Yeah, I asked him if the tables would turn,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: if I had a man living with me, would he
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: liked to meet the man I have around his children?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: He said, he don't never want to meet another end
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that's the that's with me. Well, that's stupid of him,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: because if it's a man raising your kids, that's in it,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and they under twelve, that at an impressionable age. You know,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: we all got to meet. He doesn't respect I drop
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: off and pick up times either. It's a big ordeal
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: because he doesn't want me coming by the house. I've
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: kept quiet, but it hasn't been easy. Should I reach
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: out to this woman? He lives with them, all right,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: So let me tell you to co parenting is hard work,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: especially when they're co parenting and they're divorced. Now, the
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: fact that you've mentioned she's a whore and in y'all's
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: old house and she slept with her husband and you
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: might snap is exactly why you haven't met this woman yet.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: But you have to. I think your family's up to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: someone when they said you should reach out to them.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I think you should call an inviter for coffee or
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: a place of her choosing and just meet her and
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: just say woman and woman, I just want to meet you.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I love my children, I love them dearly. I just
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: want to make shooting that you're okay with the kids.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Are you having any problems with any one of them?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Maybe I could clear it up for you, teach you
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: a little bit about my children, because some of them
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: have All kids have different ways. You might be struggling
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: with the behavior over there, something as any thing I
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: can help you with. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: So you can feel comfortable dropping your kids off. That's
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: what co parenting is. That's what you have to do.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: That's the tough word. You think marriage was tough, co
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: parenting is tough too. So that's what you have to do. Now,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: let's talk about your attitude and say attitude. You're gonna
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: have to quit calling this woman a horse, okay, because
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: that right there, Yeah see, that's gonna keep you in
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: stink mode with this heath for the whole time. And
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: right see right there, but it ain't your husband no more.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So what you gotta look at it from now on
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: is she slept with your ex husband, not your husband,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: because he's your ex husband now, so the man, he's
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the way he was man she was sleeping with is
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: actually your ex husband, So fix that in your mind.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: The other thing you need to do is you have
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: to quit calling the woman a whore, because a whore
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: definition of a horse is different from she was just
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: with your husband. She wasn't with a lot of men.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: She was just with your hus and she could have
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: been with your husband for some other reasons. He could
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: have lied, you know, and I told her all the facts.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Oh that you're saying, may this woman that he was
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: married at the time could have said, y'all was going
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: through some things and separated. All is him, So you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: gotta kind of feel to that he But the key
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: is so you can get comfortable with the woman that's
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: around your kids. And you want to do a flex
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: a little bit too, because you are the mother, and
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: mothers have every right to flex. I made these babies.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: You can't just drag them off where you want, which
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: is true. And I don't know what you all visitation
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: rights is, but taking the babies out to state as kids,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: or they could or they could go to desk and
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: winter babies if you could charge her were kidnapping and happen. Okay,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: thank you, Steve Poster comments on today's Drugberry Letters, Steve
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: harveym Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Driving to Hell. Thank You. Coming up at forty six
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: minutes after the hours, Sports Talk with Junior. Right after this,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Junior is here with Sports Talk. What you got Junior? Okay, Schulie,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Before I get to that, June fifth, Dallas, June fifth,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: the kers Hope five K fund one and walk will
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: be happening at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Go ahead,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: go to kars Hope dot org. That's k I E R.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: S Hope dot org and registered today. Well, it was
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a whole weekend full of NBA basketball. That's how I got.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: You know, the Warriors alread eliminated. I'm sorry they go
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: on home, but it was you know, if you was
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: a home team this weekend. It really didn't go well
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: for a lot of home teams this weekend. Nah. So,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: like I said, like the Heat, the Heat lost to
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: the Bucks one oh seven, one o nine. The Mavericks
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: though beat the Clippers. Dog. Yeah they was, they were
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: not all of them, but they was one thirteen one
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: on three was the Mavericks over the Clippers at home.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Then you had the Celtics who lost to the Nets.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: So that was expected because they had all three of
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: them on the court at the same time, Durant, Irving,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: and Harden. They all played for the first time and
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: in almost two months, so they wont. Then you had
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: the Trailblazers over the Nuggets one twenty three to one
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: oh nine. And then you had on Sunday you had
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the seventy sixes who beat the Wizards. The Lakers lost
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: to the Suns, and then the Hawks beat the Knicks
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: at home. Now he's Cleveland, dude, dog Cleveland. Yeah, they
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: did good watching. Oh they was watching. Okay, I mean
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I mean they was watching with the Rockets. Here we go.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: That's the same way the Texas is gonna be doing
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: this playoff season for the football. Here we go. See.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: So my question is, even though the Wards are going home,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: does Steph still get the MVP? Yes, probably not, he
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: had the best season. They don't. They don't give out
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the award after the playoffs. You would think whoever on
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: number one team be up for MVP most of the times. No,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: that ain't hard work. So it's not even the best team.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: It's just the best player for their team. This situation
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: they was in. Yeah, I mean, but you know they
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: a lot of times I don't. I don't always agree
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: with the MVP myself. But oh really, really you have
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: a hard time, you have it a hard time. But
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: what do you say? Or Harvey, what do you say?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I mean? I think Steph carry the numbers he put
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: up this year. If you asked me, who put up
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: the best number? The best numbers to me is Russell Westbrook.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Yeah he did. He averaged a triple double. He did.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: But that's not what they do. That's that's why the MVP.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I don't get this cat is valuable man all in
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: triple doubles. That boy playing basketball man like nobody else. Well,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: we're gonna find out a couple of weeks. All right,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: thank you, Junior. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Here's a question for you guys. What's the dumbest thing
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: you believed as a kid. We'll talk about it right
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, here's a question for
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you guys. What's the dumbest thing you believed as a kid. Now,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: this question was on faithbook, and we just wanted to
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: ask you, Steve. We wanted to ask Tommy Junior and
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: of course Jay, what was all the dumb stuff you
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: believed as a kid, Like, you know, if you dug
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: a big enough hole, you would be in China. You know,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: another was watching too much TV would literally ruin your brain.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: The list goes on and on. If I got one
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: for you, yeah, I was paranoid. And and my uncle
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: can attest this. He used to make me think that
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: if you swallowed one of those watermelon seeds that one
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: of them will start growing in your stomach. So I
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: used to go through and just cut that watermelon up
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: so fine. I mean I was just jack of watermelon
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: up before I ate it because I was trying to
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: get every seed out of it. I was parangosed to
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: be all right, that was dumb. I'll tell you one.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: I'm shamed to say this because I was way off
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: areging to at school that Santa Claus was really real?
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, I was going to school. He
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: is real. Now I got a girl fridd at everything.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: He is real? Ain't the right bait? I mean, I
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: signed the craziest hell can we do that? You're in
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: the Christmas and he is real, next saying yes, he's real.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I tell what I believed. I went to Carver Elementary
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: called Carver Elementary School, Columbia, South Carolina. I believe they
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: had a basement and if you went in the basement,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: there was a lady down in that basement that would
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: snatch your ass up and nobody would ever see you
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: again if you went or the basement. So I always
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: walked around the school to make sure I didn't even
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: go past and the steps that went down in the basement,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: because she was known to come up the steps and
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: snatch kids around. Uh. This was what I believe, and
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I believe that. And when I still passed the school,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I never looked in that direction because I took one
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: time and she was in the window. I sweat about
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I saw lady in the window. So I believe that.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I thought that why you was running if you look
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: down at the cracks on the sidewalk when they was
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: going by, I thought that meant I was going faster.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I believe that. I kick it. Oh my god. The
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: other thing you believed as a kid, Tommy, I believe.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I believe the I believed in the tooth fair. You
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: know I did. I believe in ye Okay, yeah, yeah, there'n't.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I haven't seen her in a while, okay, But I
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: was like, but I used to be wondering, like, who
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: is this white lady my daddy letting in the house.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I just didn't understand, lady. I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Y'all remember the movie Candy Man. Oh yeah, if you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: say candy Man in the mirror three times, I thought
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: he was really gonna pare. I would always get to
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: two and just stopped. I couldn't never get Canny Man.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: Candy Man said, I hated to play with this. That
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: was it. You don't play with it, Canny Man, stop
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: it right there? Okay. I I tate what I believe.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I believe when I was in the eighth grade that
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I was gonna pass to the ninth. I really believe
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I was gonna pass. I thought I had it locked.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I thought that I thought there was nothing that was
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: for me, making, no way that could keep my dumb
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: ass back, because but they did. But I believe I
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: was gonna seem closer. That was the dumbest thing you
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: thought as a kid, You believe. When I was eight
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: years old, I thought, yeah, if you was thirty years old,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: that you was old as hell. If you who your
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: ass is almost out? All right, We'll have more of

- 1:16:14Speaker 1: And then other trending news. It's the black girl magic
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: for us. We gotta say this. Simone Biles made history
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: this weekend in Indianapolis at the US Classics. She's twenty
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: four years old. Simone Biles became the first gymnast ever
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: to lando your Chenko double pike, and she rocked her
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: rhinestone goat leopard leotard and made history. I mean, it's
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the your Shanko double pike. Let me tell you, it
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: was unbelievable what she did. It's unbelievable what she did.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: She did, fight all under it. It's amazing. Yeah. Yes,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: And it's effortless, speakable, it's effortless. It's like she's floating
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: and flying. You know what, when you do moves like that,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: you know what they do. They outlaw the move. We
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: can't do that, nobody else do it. They do it.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: All the time. They really do it, girl. No, did
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: you see the that was I think it was an
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: analyst for NBC and they were talking about the Tokyo
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Olympics coming up, and one of the gymnasts. One of
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: the analysts said, uh, Simone Biles, lets her, you know,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: her gymnastics speaks for it because she when she did that,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: she said, the queen has when the announcers give you
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the queen title. You know, I just like how she
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: just moves. I mean, oha, girl, unbelievable. Yeah, man, yeah,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: I'm just slowing away by. There's no gravity when you
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: watch her, there's no gravity. Coming up at forty nine
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, it will be our last break
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: of the day. It's the last break of the day,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: a short work week. Thank you Jesus, thank you, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of course we will have some inspiring closing remarks from
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: listening to all right, here we are, guys, our last
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: break of the day on this Monday. It's been a
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: good day. Yeah yeah, yes, really really really yeah. Great
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: kind of went back kind of quick though, it did,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: didn't it. Yeah, I wasn't as snappy today. As I
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: wanted to be. I don't know what that was. You
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: were good, I just wasn't as snappy as I wanted
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: to be. Better, Get snappy, don't come about to take
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: my but to work. So again, off one job and
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: go to another one. Yeah, at least we got commercial
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: breaks on this job. You're standing in front of that camera.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Ain't no off so hey, you know, let me let
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: me say this inclosing. You know, um, I want to
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: keep encouraging people to keep to keep making an effort
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: to make your dreams come true. Look, I know that
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: life can be tough at times, and I know there
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: are times when life seems like it's completely unfair. But
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: life ain't really fair. But life ain't really fair for anybody.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: And what I mean by it's not fair, the unexpected
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: always happens. I mean, you know, as prepared as you
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: may be, you can be setting your plan for your
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: day to go one way or another way, and then
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: something completely happens out of the blue, and it seems unfair. Well,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I just want to remind you that that happens to everybody.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: That's not just happening to you. Life happens to every everybody,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: and these sudden surprises. They seem so unfair, but that's life.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: The counter that you have for the unexpected is if
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you are a believer, if you can work yourself up
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: to become a person of faith, if you can form
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: a relationship with your creator. The thing that will help
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: you get through all of that is the realization that
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: even though the unthinkable has happened, even though this unforeseen
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: circumstance has popped up, this unexplainable moment, just the fact
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: of knowing that God is with me no matter what happens.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: He is a very present help for me in the
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: good times, in the bad times, when it's sunnay, when
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: it's reigning, when it's thunderstorming, when the waves is real high,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: when when your ship gets turned over it can get
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: righted again. You know, I want you to understand, to
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: stop wanting everything to be smooth for yourself. That's not realistic, y'all.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: That's not what life is. If life was smooth for
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: us all the time, we would have no level of appreciation,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: we would have no need for faith, We would have
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: no relationship with God. I promise you we wouldn't. If
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: everything was level and smoothed, that would be no flow
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: to life. You wouldn't even have real emotions if it
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: stayed smooth all the time. You would have no appreciation
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: for sunny days because if the sunshine every day, because
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: we are human, all of us, we would just get
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: accustomed to it and we would just go about thinking old, well,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: if this is how it's supposed to go. But God
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: treats the weather just like life. It has its sunny days,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: it has its partly cloudy days, it has its days
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: when it's thunderstorming. It has its days where it's windy outside.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: It has its days where it's just great. Then it
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: has some days where it's just perfectly beautiful weather. And
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: then and then, just like life, the weather it has
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: seasons to it. You have a season whereas it just
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: seems like for a period of time you're just out
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: here tall and working, and then it seems like there's
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: a period of time where it might seem like all
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: your crops is dead and and ain't nothing coming out
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: the ground. And then you'll have seasons in your life
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: where you're just harvesting the fruit and the manner and
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: the crops are coming all in. That's life, and God
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: gives us these examples of life all through nature and everything.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: When the leaves turn brown and orange, how beautiful they
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: can be. But if some people, if you don't see
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: the beauty of the orange and the scarlets and the
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: red and the oranges of the leaves, then you missed
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the beauty of fall. If you're just sitting there going
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: old wol Lord, it's fit to be winter. Now you
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: spend the whole beautiful fall where it about when winter come,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: When winter come, and that beautiful snow is coming out
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: the sky and you're able to go snowboarding and skiing
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: and sledding and making snow creaming and making ice ice milk,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: and making snow men and making angels and stuff. You
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: missed the beauty of winter. Fix your mind, y'all. This
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: is life. Life has all these evan flows, and we
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: are waking a life to partake of all these evan flows.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: And it's a beautiful thing to be able to partake
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: of life with all this ups and downs, sunny days,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: rainy days, when you need rain for flowers to go.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: It's like God's word. It's just like the rain. God
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: does not send rain and snow to earth without it
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: returning something. You know, what I mean. When the rain
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: falls from the sky, it returns flowers. When the rain
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: falls from the sky, it returns greenery and trees. It returns,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: It supplies nourishment for seeds. That's when rain gonna. When
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: God gives his word. God don't give you his word
