- 1:06Speaker 7: Love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I got to turn the mouth turn You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 3: to turn the mouth turn out, turn the water of
- 1:47Speaker 3: the money.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Jo look me.
- 1:55Speaker 9: Come come out. You think that I sure will? Good
- 2:04Speaker 9: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 9: me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 9: Man o man o man Wow. I think about all
- 2:18Speaker 9: the things God has done for me is overwhelming at times.
- 2:22Speaker 9: And I want everybody to have that feeling and to
- 2:25Speaker 9: sharing that feeling of completion and satisfaction. And the only
- 2:30Speaker 9: reason I got this, and it's the thousandth time I've
- 2:33Speaker 9: said it, is because I formed a relationship with my creator. Period.
- 2:37Speaker 9: That's it. That's that's it. I can't tell you as
- 2:41Speaker 9: anything else else. You know, I've always had a strong
- 2:44Speaker 9: work ethic. My father put that in me. My father's
- 2:47Speaker 9: conversation with me growing up was always constantly about work hard,
- 2:52Speaker 9: don't be lazy, be a man, Do what you say
- 2:54Speaker 9: you're gonna do YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA YadA. Man, I
- 2:57Speaker 9: was so tired of my father at times. I was
- 2:59Speaker 9: going and, man, what is with this dude right here? Man,
- 3:03Speaker 9: every time we have a conversation, it's got to be
- 3:05Speaker 9: about work, it's got to be about you know, man,
- 3:08Speaker 9: doing your best, trying hard, you know, working and being honest,
- 3:13Speaker 9: do what you say you're gonna do.
- 3:15Speaker 10: But that was his mission. I can't tell you how
- 3:18Speaker 10: much I appreciate that now.
- 3:21Speaker 9: I can't even I can't even put it into words
- 3:23Speaker 9: when I think about my old man and what he
- 3:27Speaker 9: was to me, and I just, man, I'm so grateful
- 3:32Speaker 9: for that balance I had in my life. And then
- 3:34Speaker 9: my father was a fighter. He fought on the weekends.
- 3:39Speaker 9: You know. My father used to come home with his
- 3:42Speaker 9: with his clothes toe off of him. He put a
- 3:45Speaker 9: fresh shirt on and he go back. My mom used
- 3:48Speaker 9: to talk about my father fighting all the time, slick,
- 3:50Speaker 9: while you are always fighting. You know a little bit
- 3:53Speaker 9: of that rubbed off on me too, you know that
- 3:55Speaker 9: that kind of got into me. And I didn't understand
- 3:58Speaker 9: that either. But then the same turn, my mother was
- 4:01Speaker 9: a Sunday school teacher, for forty years, So her conversation
- 4:05Speaker 9: was never about fighting or anything. It was all about
- 4:07Speaker 9: love and understanding and doing another that you would have
- 4:10Speaker 9: to do unto you. My mom was a Sunday school teacher,
- 4:13Speaker 9: so I learned about faith. I had to go to
- 4:15Speaker 9: Sunday school, prayer meeting, Bible study, young people meeting, choir rehearsal.
- 4:20Speaker 9: You know, I was a church man so much I
- 4:22Speaker 9: was actually looking as there's got to be an alternative
- 4:25Speaker 9: to this, you know. I want you know, I was
- 4:28Speaker 9: a little kid even I was thinking at one point,
- 4:31Speaker 9: maybe I ought to look into Hell because it's got
- 4:33Speaker 9: to be something cooler than this going on every day.
- 4:36Speaker 9: It had got that crazy for me. But the balance
- 4:39Speaker 9: between those two people created who I am today. And
- 4:43Speaker 9: I want you to understand that the things that you
- 4:46Speaker 9: are in your past have helped create who you are today.
- 4:50Speaker 9: If you view it the right way, everything that has
- 4:54Speaker 9: happened to you in your past has happened to you
- 4:57Speaker 9: for a reason, and as you usually for the good
- 5:01Speaker 9: if you view it that way. But if you, on
- 5:06Speaker 9: the other hand, are a type of person who can't
- 5:09Speaker 9: move forward because you are allowing your past to stop
- 5:13Speaker 9: you from having your future. Then you, my friend, are
- 5:18Speaker 9: doing a disservice to your life. You are not honoring
- 5:23Speaker 9: God's blessings. You are not taking advantage of the gain, knowledge, wisdom,
- 5:28Speaker 9: and experience of your life. Example, if you are a
- 5:34Speaker 9: woman and you are always talking about a former relationship,
- 5:42Speaker 9: what he did to me. If he had not did
- 5:45Speaker 9: this to me, I wouldn't be in this place today.
- 5:50Speaker 9: I thought I had a man. Now I ain't got
- 5:53Speaker 9: no man ah llah lah lah lah lah. If I
- 5:58Speaker 9: you know, he came along and I was doing just swell.
- 6:02Speaker 9: He just came in and he just lied to me.
- 6:05Speaker 9: He lied to me. Now he did this to me,
- 6:08Speaker 9: then he cheated, then he left. All of that that
- 6:12Speaker 9: you're saying can very well be true. Have you thought
- 6:17Speaker 9: that maybe maybe somewhere in God's infinite wisdom, that he
- 6:25Speaker 9: knew that you had made a mistake in picking him anyway?
- 6:32Speaker 9: Maybe he knew you had made a mistake in saying
- 6:35Speaker 9: yes or I do to him anyway, or come on,
- 6:39Speaker 9: move in? And so what he did was based on
- 6:46Speaker 9: your decision now to say yes, I do or come
- 6:49Speaker 9: on let's move in together.
- 6:51Speaker 10: That was your decision. You ain't go to him about
- 6:53Speaker 10: this one. You made this decision.
- 6:56Speaker 9: Based on that decision and all the negative things that
- 7:00Speaker 9: started happening, he allowed you to get away from it.
- 7:04Speaker 9: Now how you got away from it, it's always not
- 7:08Speaker 9: the choice of ours. See, you stuck on the fact
- 7:12Speaker 9: that he left, that he walked out. But let me
- 7:15Speaker 9: share this with you. When he was there, how good
- 7:18Speaker 9: was he to you? How good was he for you? See,
- 7:22Speaker 9: you got to stare at you got to look at
- 7:24Speaker 9: the blessing. The blessing is. Now you are on your own.
- 7:30Speaker 9: Now you walk in your house. Ain't nobody in there
- 7:33Speaker 9: with a disruptive spirit. Now you go home.
- 7:36Speaker 10: You could take your clothes off, walk around like you
- 7:38Speaker 10: want to.
- 7:39Speaker 9: Now you go home, you can sit down and look
- 7:42Speaker 9: at TV or catch your breath if you want to.
- 7:47Speaker 9: Your kids don't have to see y'all arguing all the time.
- 7:51Speaker 9: Have you looked at the blessing in it? But now
- 7:54Speaker 9: if you gonna keep looking at the negative, then guess what.
- 7:58Speaker 9: Now you can't move forward because you keep allowing your
- 8:03Speaker 9: past to keep you from moving forward. If God has
- 8:07Speaker 9: brought you through it, why don't you move on from it? Look,
- 8:13Speaker 9: you got through it, gone, he ain't coming back. He
- 8:15Speaker 9: got somebody else, So you gonna sit there and just
- 8:19Speaker 9: keep tripping. Becauts he gone and he got somebody else. Hey,
- 8:23Speaker 9: pick yourself up. Thank God for the blessing. It didn't
- 8:27Speaker 9: feel like a blessing. Why you was going through it,
- 8:30Speaker 9: and all the pain of him leaving and the divorce
- 8:32Speaker 9: and all that messed you up? Got it when you
- 8:35Speaker 9: get through it, all of that. You ain't the first
- 8:37Speaker 9: one being left. You ain't the first one being divorced.
- 8:41Speaker 9: You ain't the first one been in a bad relationship.
- 8:43Speaker 9: Pick yourself up, Thank God for the blessing, and move
- 8:48Speaker 9: forward in your life, because maybe when you quit complaining,
- 8:53Speaker 9: maybe you'll find out that God has something in store
- 8:57Speaker 9: for you that he wants you to have. But I
- 9:00Speaker 9: can't give it to you if you ain't grateful. So
- 9:03Speaker 9: God gives you a blessing, but because you don't see
- 9:05Speaker 9: it as a blessing, you ain't grateful for it. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 9: guess what, You steady asking God to do something for you,
- 9:12Speaker 9: but you ain't thanking him for what he's done for you,
- 9:15Speaker 9: but you steady wanting him to do more. How does
- 9:18Speaker 9: that work? How does that work?
- 9:20Speaker 1: Man?
- 9:21Speaker 9: That He should keep on giving you things when you
- 9:24Speaker 9: ain't even working with the stuff he didne gave you
- 9:27Speaker 9: and I don't know. And I'm just using that one example.
- 9:30Speaker 9: It could go for me and too, vice versa, and
- 9:33Speaker 9: so on and so forth. I'm just using that as
- 9:35Speaker 9: an example. Now, why I laid on that one so long?
- 9:39Speaker 9: You have to take that over God. That's all just set.
- 9:42Speaker 9: I ain't pointing fingers at nobody in nothing, because I've
- 9:45Speaker 9: been guilty on both sides of the coin. Who am I?
- 9:49Speaker 9: But I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 9:52Speaker 9: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 9:55Speaker 9: interfere with my future.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 9: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, others. How y'all doing today?
- 10:12Speaker 9: How you're feeling? Let me answer a couple of them.
- 10:17Speaker 9: I'm grateful to be alive today. I feel fine. I
- 10:21Speaker 9: felt better, But this will do. I've accepted my journey.
- 10:26Speaker 9: I've accepted my route. It's very unique, as is yours.
- 10:30Speaker 9: God has you on the path that's unlike anybody else's.
- 10:34Speaker 9: As a matter of fact, it's very similar to your fingerprint.
- 10:37Speaker 9: Ain't nobody got the same one. It's just yours, So
- 10:41Speaker 9: get on with it. Make the best of it and
- 10:43Speaker 9: be grateful for it because it's here. It's a gift.
- 10:47Speaker 9: It's called the President. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shelton Strawberry
- 10:50Speaker 9: calling for a Missippi Monica Jr. And the Legend of
- 10:53Speaker 9: Nephew Tommy Jr.
- 10:55Speaker 11: Uh, what's going on, man, Yeah, let's talk about it.
- 11:00Speaker 11: You know, growth, growth, growth as a person. Growth, Uh huh.
- 11:05Speaker 12: You know they say it's hard, and so what areas
- 11:08Speaker 12: you think you have grown in the most in your
- 11:10Speaker 12: life and.
- 11:11Speaker 9: All all, every last one of them.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Does that answer your question?
- 11:20Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 11:22Speaker 11: One.
- 11:24Speaker 9: The only thing I'm the same in that I've always
- 11:30Speaker 9: been is I am a bit of a difficult person.
- 11:34Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 11:36Speaker 9: Yeah. No, I'm a bit of a difficult person, and
- 11:39Speaker 9: I know that I don't like I will challenge you.
- 11:45Speaker 9: I will not accept status quo. I don't like you
- 11:49Speaker 9: assuming anything about me. I do not like to be
- 11:53Speaker 9: told what to do. It has to be in the
- 11:56Speaker 9: form of a request, and even then I will turn.
- 11:59Speaker 10: It into a de mand.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Difficult.
- 12:07Speaker 9: Other than that, I'm fine. Yeah, Yeah, I've been on
- 12:13Speaker 9: the journey of steady growth and improvement Junior myself. Other
- 12:17Speaker 9: than that, yeah, I'm a go Everything else is up.
- 12:22Speaker 12: You've grown in every area except that every area.
- 12:25Speaker 10: But I think what it is is not that I
- 12:26Speaker 10: haven't grown in that area. I have perfected it.
- 12:31Speaker 9: You know. It's a defense mechanism. If I'm being honest,
- 12:34Speaker 9: my being difficult is a defense mechanism. It helps me
- 12:38Speaker 9: ward off extra bs, and I use it to keep
- 12:43Speaker 9: it at bay because people will take advantageing. I'll give
- 12:47Speaker 9: you an example on this show. Monica Barnes and Carlin
- 12:51Speaker 9: Farrell produce the Morning Show, and they do an excellent job.
- 12:55Speaker 9: They do research, they come up with ideas, they come
- 12:58Speaker 9: up with the scheduling, they come up with our segment ideas,
- 13:04Speaker 9: they come up with thought provoking things for us to discuss.
- 13:07Speaker 9: They stay on top of current events. Got all that
- 13:10Speaker 9: beautiful job, ladies. Thank you very much, Thank you sir.
- 13:13Speaker 9: But sometimes they will try to make me about say
- 13:18Speaker 9: something about one of them, and I don't want to.
- 13:21Speaker 9: So now we off to an ugly segment that's broke.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So you're gonna pat yourself on the back.
- 13:30Speaker 9: Thank you, Steve, Thank you, Steve.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You're welcome. All right, guys, coming up at thirty two
- 13:37Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we will hear from the nephew
- 13:40Speaker 1: as he runs that prank back right after this, Yay, yay,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 13:54Speaker 9: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 13:58Speaker 9: drifting toward your lamp, that lane splitting biker creeping up. Besides, fortunately,
- 14:04Speaker 9: every Hunday offers advanced safety features that can alert you
- 14:07Speaker 9: to potential dangers around.

- 14:50Speaker 6: back and forth on the site talking and we haven't
- 14:54Speaker 6: you know, really talked yet.
- 14:55Speaker 5: So yeah, it's okay. I think I'm gonna expecting a car.
- 14:59Speaker 9: But yeah, it's good to hear from you.
- 15:02Speaker 6: It's good to hear from you know, you know, I
- 15:03Speaker 6: mean we've been we've been talking for well a long time, well,
- 15:08Speaker 6: texting and on the site for at least what five
- 15:11Speaker 6: weeks now.
- 15:12Speaker 5: Yeah, so really I'm glad you called a corell seriously,
- 15:16Speaker 5: like an, I love your voice, So I'm exciting.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Yeah, you know you got anything going on this weekend?
- 15:26Speaker 5: I don't think so. I just have to, like you know,
- 15:28Speaker 5: go grocery shopping or whatever. But like, other than that,
- 15:30Speaker 5: it's pretty helping.
- 15:31Speaker 3: What's up.
- 15:32Speaker 6: I was thinking maybe we get together, get a get
- 15:34Speaker 6: a drink or two, just you know, kind of yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 6: and a little bit feel each other out if if
- 15:39Speaker 6: you're feeling that, you know, I don't want to.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Yeah, that's cool, we can get together. I'm interested, you know, like,
- 15:46Speaker 5: I'm happy you called, and I would love to see
- 15:48Speaker 5: this weekend.
- 15:49Speaker 6: You got a place in mind, like you know, I
- 15:52Speaker 6: was thinking about letting you pick something, because you know,
- 15:55Speaker 6: I'd rather go somewhere where you're comfortable, an atmosphere that
- 15:58Speaker 6: you used to I think that would be the best
- 16:01Speaker 6: thing to do.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Okay, Well, let me. Look, I don't want to find out.
- 16:05Speaker 5: I'll direct you on that, but yeah, I'm down.
- 16:08Speaker 6: I just want to hang out a little bit.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Yeah, cool, I'm excited.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Good, good? What's good for you? You know? If you
- 16:19Speaker 6: want to do Friday on Saturday?
- 16:21Speaker 5: Up, let's go on, Let's do Saturday to give me,
- 16:24Speaker 5: you know, some time to like, you know, gut myself together.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Text for Saturday, text me you know the location or
- 16:30Speaker 6: whatever wherever you want me.
- 16:31Speaker 5: To cool, I can't wait to see you.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Well one thing, okay, let's let's do this first. Tell
- 16:37Speaker 6: me this what what? What are we wearing? So I'm
- 16:39Speaker 6: not don't want to be overdressed or underdressed.
- 16:41Speaker 5: I don't really trip on that you take to be
- 16:43Speaker 5: chill like I'm not. You know, we don't have to
- 16:45Speaker 5: do like a five hundred dollars dinner or nothing like that.
- 16:48Speaker 6: You don't need on a touch.
- 16:50Speaker 5: This ain't a rocky.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Brunch all right? Right? But if you don't mind, if
- 16:56Speaker 6: I could get you to do something for me, could
- 16:58Speaker 6: you could I get my cash app for what? Well?
- 17:03Speaker 6: What I want to do is you know, sometimes these
- 17:07Speaker 6: things actually go wrong. You know, I don't see it
- 17:09Speaker 6: going wrong with me and you because we've had you know,
- 17:12Speaker 6: the way we've been chit chatting and going back and
- 17:13Speaker 6: forth on the site, things have been really really well.
- 17:16Speaker 6: You know, you know, I would like to get you know,
- 17:19Speaker 6: like a you know, a love deposit of two hundred
- 17:23Speaker 6: and fifty dollars that way of this going wrong, at
- 17:25Speaker 6: least I haven't wasted my time, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Hold on, I'm just saying, what does happen? You said
- 17:40Speaker 5: you want me to get your cash app and send
- 17:43Speaker 5: you a love deposit of two hundred and.
- 17:46Speaker 6: Something dollars two fifty two fifty, like you know that
- 17:49Speaker 6: way if this don't if this don't go right, you know,
- 17:52Speaker 6: then at least I haven't love It's like a love deposit,
- 17:56Speaker 6: you know, if it go if it goes right, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 6: then I give it back to you. If it don't
- 17:59Speaker 6: go right, you know, at least I haven't waited til
- 18:01Speaker 6: my time. You see what I'm saying?
- 18:03Speaker 10: You serious?
- 18:04Speaker 6: Or no?
- 18:05Speaker 5: Yeah? Like yeah, okay, Uh this is super weird and
- 18:09Speaker 5: uh yeah, this is all weird, and uh you know
- 18:14Speaker 5: I'm coming. I don't you really know what to say,
- 18:17Speaker 5: like other than you could probably love my number, like
- 18:20Speaker 5: you a week do like, don't call me like your corny.
- 18:24Speaker 5: I'm not interested, You're a bum like I'm straight, like
- 18:28Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I wasn't
- 18:31Speaker 6: all let I wasn't. You've been talking. We've been talking
- 18:33Speaker 6: for five weeks. Everything's been good. We've been we've been
- 18:36Speaker 6: on the site talking to each other.
- 18:37Speaker 5: So the two weeks though, you're trying to ask me
- 18:39Speaker 5: for a cash app for real, a love deposit? How
- 18:42Speaker 5: corny are you? Are you serious? Seriously?
- 18:47Speaker 6: If you believe listen to tip tip on the reil.
- 18:50Speaker 6: If you believe in yourself.
- 18:52Speaker 9: You you.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Know what?
- 18:54Speaker 5: If I believe in myself, you're so out of your
- 18:58Speaker 5: you have lost your in mind? Okay? Was your please? Like,
- 19:04Speaker 5: gather your thoughts because I don't know who you think
- 19:06Speaker 5: you're talking to? For real, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:08Speaker 5: So I need to do two things. Lose my number
- 19:12Speaker 5: and don't don't look for me for real? Show up
- 19:15Speaker 5: like this is ridiculous, Like this is stupid, you ignorant?
- 19:19Speaker 6: For real?
- 19:19Speaker 5: Shut up?
- 19:20Speaker 6: Okay, okay, show me, show me where I'm wrong. If
- 19:23Speaker 6: you believe in yourself.
- 19:25Speaker 5: If I believe in myself, Jude, what you mean, if
- 19:28Speaker 5: I believe in myself, if you believe in yourself, you'll
- 19:31Speaker 5: we'll move around. Get off the phone and stop wasting
- 19:34Speaker 5: my time.
- 19:35Speaker 4: For real.

- 24:33Speaker 1: I made tangy. Keyword tangy.
- 24:38Speaker 9: All right?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Moving on to Big Joe in The Bronx, Big Joe writes,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I date and have sex with whoever I want, and
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm honest with women. They say they're fine with it,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but they end up popping up at my house or
- 24:49Speaker 1: calling me all night to try to disturb me. Why
- 24:52Speaker 1: can't these women appreciate my honesty?
- 24:58Speaker 9: Uh?
- 24:58Speaker 10: They still want what they want. That's her name, Big.
- 25:00Speaker 9: Joe, Big Joe bron Yeah, okay, you know they appreciate
- 25:07Speaker 9: your honesty. Okay, what bro these are women, but that's

- 25:19Speaker 9: again here we go? What what has that gotten you?
- 25:24Speaker 9: All this honesty? That's what I was waiting for.

- 25:55Speaker 9: You can do like you want to do, man, but
- 25:56Speaker 9: you know, since you make it the public, it kind
- 25:58Speaker 9: of opens it up for judgment. And so you know,
- 26:01Speaker 9: once you do stuff publicly, hey, I'm cool with it.
- 26:04Speaker 9: What y'all tripping for?
- 26:05Speaker 7: What?
- 26:05Speaker 9: You showing it to us. And the reason we tripping
- 26:09Speaker 9: is because it don't look normal. And now I don't
- 26:12Speaker 9: think the girls is happy. And if they are, they

- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, good point, good point, or maybe neo's all that
- 26:24Speaker 1: and we just don't know.
- 26:26Speaker 9: No, no, shouldn't sure. Should listen to me, Listen to me.
- 26:30Speaker 9: Somebody is a favorite. It's no way. You don't have
- 26:35Speaker 9: a favorite. There's no way. Just like Big Joe in
- 26:39Speaker 9: the Bronx, he got a favorite. Yeah, and eventually one
- 26:44Speaker 9: of them favorites is gonna win. They always do.
- 26:49Speaker 4: But the ladies have to have low self esteem for
- 26:52Speaker 4: this to work in order for this to work. Yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 4: if they have to have it, yeah, I got it,
- 26:59Speaker 4: all right, all right, this is what I heard. I'm sorry,
- 27:02Speaker 4: That's what I mean.
- 27:04Speaker 9: Moving on.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It's hard enough to take care of one woman. Moving
- 27:08Speaker 1: on to Lisa and Chattanooga, Lisa writes, my husband is
- 27:12Speaker 1: from the hood, so he thinks our son needs to
- 27:14Speaker 1: experience that. He takes our twelve year old to his

- 27:49Speaker 9: the day to learn it ain't the day and show up.
- 27:52Speaker 9: You need to have seen some of it before. I
- 27:55Speaker 9: understand what your husband is trying to do. Smart because
- 28:00Speaker 9: one day you're gonna need it. You're gonna need it.
- 28:02Speaker 9: It happens to everybody.
- 28:05Speaker 1: They gamble, drink, smokes, cigarettes and weed over there.
- 28:09Speaker 9: Well, you know I got your son. Don't like it

- 37:14Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 37:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:24Speaker 9: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 37:26Speaker 9: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 37:30Speaker 9: drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting biker creeping
- 37:34Speaker 9: up beside you. Fortunately, every Honday offers advanced safety features
- 37:38Speaker 9: that can alert you to potential dangers around you.
- 37:41Speaker 4: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the
- 37:44Speaker 4: road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have won over one
- 37:47Speaker 4: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two thousand
- 37:50Speaker 4: and six to twenty twenty four as of December twenty
- 37:54Speaker 4: twenty four.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Well, despite the stock market being in a slump all week,
- 37:58Speaker 1: President Trump's administration insists that the tariffs are being are
- 38:03Speaker 1: in the best long term interest of the country, that's
- 38:07Speaker 1: what he says, and the economy will ultimately boom as
- 38:10Speaker 1: a result. President Trump's ten percent tariff on all imports
- 38:13Speaker 1: into the US went into effect this past Saturday, and
- 38:17Speaker 1: higher tariffs are expected to start today. The countries that
- 38:22Speaker 1: can expect higher tariffs include the US's major trading partners
- 38:25Speaker 1: like China is expected to get a thirty four percent
- 38:29Speaker 1: tariff and Europe twenty percent. According to CNN, billionaire business
- 38:33Speaker 1: leaders are turning on Donald Trump. One of Trump's major
- 38:37Speaker 1: endorsers for his twenty twenty four presidential bid, has warned
- 38:41Speaker 1: that if Trump imposes higher tariffs, it will be comparable
- 38:44Speaker 1: to launching an economic nuclear war.
- 38:47Speaker 10: Wow.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Wow, that's strong. An economic nuclear war. Wow, what a
- 38:54Speaker 1: president's alled. Americans don't be weak.
- 38:58Speaker 6: You know.
- 38:58Speaker 9: The stock market, Yeah, you gotta hang in there, gotta
- 39:04Speaker 9: hang in there. Yeah, I mean, you know, it's gonna
- 39:06Speaker 9: be some rough time. And it's what people don't understand.
- 39:09Speaker 9: The rich look man, they don't care what the food costs.
- 39:14Speaker 9: They don't care the gas costs. And the reason they
- 39:18Speaker 9: don't is because they have the money to afford whatever
- 39:20Speaker 9: the price is. And secondly, when oil prices go up,
- 39:25Speaker 9: they profit. Gas and oil go up, they profit. Now,
- 39:32Speaker 9: the problem he's creating, though, for a couple of his buddies,
- 39:36Speaker 9: is that the majority of people will suffer if you
- 39:39Speaker 9: put a ten percent tariff on Mexico. All those cars
- 39:43Speaker 9: that's coming over from Mexico are going to be more
- 39:45Speaker 9: expensive to buy. Yeah, all that steel, all that lumber
- 39:50Speaker 9: that they get from Canada, it's going to be more
- 39:53Speaker 9: expensive to buy everything. So everything costs more to build
- 39:58Speaker 9: houses just have lumber. We don't make our houses from
- 40:03Speaker 9: still framing like they do overseas. No, we make our
- 40:06Speaker 9: maybe well, all our houses frames are from trees. So
- 40:11Speaker 9: you know it's going to be tough. But that's who
- 40:14Speaker 9: you voted for.
- 40:16Speaker 1: It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
- 40:19Speaker 9: This was this is great. That's what great's supposed to
- 40:21Speaker 9: feel like, right, this is great?
- 40:26Speaker 1: Great again?
- 40:28Speaker 9: We in the middle of great.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Into a recession? Is that greatness? Absolutely?
- 40:37Speaker 9: M hm?
- 40:38Speaker 1: Well, all right, like you said, Steve, this is this
- 40:42Speaker 1: is who you wanted in office.
- 40:43Speaker 9: You had you know, look man, and and for those
- 40:48Speaker 9: of us listen to me, we knew, we had an
- 40:51Speaker 9: idea what was going to happen. So and we're gonna
- 40:54Speaker 9: be fining regardless. We we ain't ain't they ain't never
- 40:56Speaker 9: gave us nothing. It's all this what you call it,
- 40:59Speaker 9: yourself taken back. You've been fighting to give it to
- 41:02Speaker 9: us anyway. So we've been fighting to get everything we've had.
- 41:05Speaker 10: This a power for the.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Course for yeah, yep, all right, thank you guys. Coming
- 41:09Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour? Are you
- 41:11Speaker 1: required to leave a big tip at restaurant? We'll talk
- 41:14Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:22Speaker 1: A popular Atlanta restaurant that is part of the Hillstone
- 41:26Speaker 1: family of restaurants faces backlash after the manager of the
- 41:30Speaker 1: restaurant allegedly confronted a customer for leaving only a seven
- 41:35Speaker 1: percent tip on a fifty seven dollars tab. The customer
- 41:38Speaker 1: defended herself by saying she tipped based on the level
- 41:41Speaker 1: of service she received. Then the manager allegedly told her
- 41:45Speaker 1: that it's customary at that restaurant to tip at least
- 41:49Speaker 1: eighteen or twenty percent, and if she couldn't do that,
- 41:52Speaker 1: then she wasn't welcome there. So here's a question. Should
- 41:56Speaker 1: you be obligated to leave a big tip? I mean,
- 42:00Speaker 1: if you don't like the service or whatever, should you
- 42:03Speaker 1: Are you obligating?
- 42:04Speaker 9: Well, let's start with Yeah, let's ask Judie. He oh, okay,
- 42:08Speaker 9: we're going to Apple.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead.
- 42:11Speaker 9: Are you obligated to leave a big tip? Absolutely?
- 42:13Speaker 12: Not obligated. No, well, I'm not taking me and herb
- 42:17Speaker 12: making me the same money?
- 42:18Speaker 9: Why when I do that?
- 42:23Speaker 6: You mean?
- 42:23Speaker 1: Well, well, tell us the story, junior. I think you
- 42:26Speaker 1: mentioned this yesterday about what was off the air about
- 42:29Speaker 1: you being at dinner with your wife and there was
- 42:31Speaker 1: a live band and when you got your bill, you
- 42:33Speaker 1: had to pay for the band.
- 42:35Speaker 12: Yeah, well see the difference.
- 42:36Speaker 6: What that was.
- 42:37Speaker 12: I was out of money before I sat down.
- 42:38Speaker 11: They charged you an entertainment fee in your check and
- 42:41Speaker 11: you didn't even know that you were beginning it.
- 42:44Speaker 9: So it was thirty dollars per person.
- 42:47Speaker 12: So that's six hours and I ain't even ordered nothing.
- 42:49Speaker 10: What if I don't like the band, ain't really word
- 42:52Speaker 10: for all that to me?
- 42:54Speaker 12: Exactly?
- 42:55Speaker 10: I get my thirty back I'll tell him I wouldn't
- 42:57Speaker 10: listen it. I didn't even need it.
- 43:03Speaker 1: And who Yeah, yeah, I want my.
- 43:09Speaker 10: Thirty back because they didn't play nothing I wanted to hear.
- 43:13Speaker 1: But you didn't even know that before you.
- 43:16Speaker 11: Nothing the tip in the check based upon the sixty
- 43:21Speaker 11: being in there too, So now you're getting you're getting
- 43:24Speaker 11: charged for your tip with the band sixty dollars in that.
- 43:29Speaker 9: They added the tip in there too. Yes, for just
- 43:32Speaker 9: two people. Yes, I thought the tip was like when
- 43:35Speaker 9: it's added when it's like six mos.
- 43:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, depends. I guess it depends on the location.
- 43:42Speaker 7: But I'll say this, I've been a waitress, I've been
- 43:44Speaker 7: a hostess. It's it's a lot of work. It's hard working. Yes, yes,
- 43:48Speaker 7: you have to earn your tip. But the amount of
- 43:51Speaker 7: money that you make hourly as a server, it's like
- 43:55Speaker 7: way below minimum wage, way below that. So how you
- 44:00Speaker 7: make your money is based on your tips and how
- 44:03Speaker 7: you survive.
- 44:03Speaker 1: All right, So it's it's.
- 44:09Speaker 7: That's what I'm getting to. You have to steal your service,
- 44:13Speaker 7: you have to earn that service. You have to be polite,
- 44:16Speaker 7: you have to be friendly, all of these things, and
- 44:18Speaker 7: sometimes there are things that happen. That's beyond a service control.
- 44:22Speaker 7: The kitchen is backed up, all these things that happen.
- 44:26Speaker 7: But you still have to be, you know, friendly to
- 44:28Speaker 7: the customer because you want the tip.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Yeah, what I'm saying, So, I mean I have to.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Those things go together.
- 44:35Speaker 10: Yes, tip because I'm famous, Yes you do.
- 44:42Speaker 3: I was the way.
- 44:44Speaker 9: But Steve, Steve, if you go to a restaurant, the
- 44:47Speaker 9: service is poor, they brought your food out forty something
- 44:50Speaker 9: minutes late.
- 44:51Speaker 4: Everything is wrong in cook the food, right. But just
- 44:54Speaker 4: because you who you are, you steal, gotta leave a
- 44:57Speaker 4: big tip.
- 44:58Speaker 9: Yeah. I don't really go nowhere like that, but you know,
- 45:02Speaker 9: you don't know where. You gotta restaurant where they have
- 45:05Speaker 9: bad service and bad food and got your order. You
- 45:10Speaker 9: know I ain't going down there.
- 45:13Speaker 10: Elijs h.
- 45:17Speaker 9: Elijah crab Houses, Willy Dean's Barbecue, pitt.
- 45:24Speaker 10: Yeah, you know that's sound. That sounds good though, willly Deans.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Sound good, you know, yeah, wow, yeah, but it's it's uh.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I just yeah, you gotta get a hard industry.
- 45:39Speaker 10: You gotta be good at your job.
- 45:40Speaker 9: Though.
- 45:41Speaker 10: I never tip under twenty five percent.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Oh nice, twenty five Okay, all right, you go over
- 45:50Speaker 1: and above.
- 45:51Speaker 10: I've done one hundred percent tip fifty percent tips. You
- 45:55Speaker 10: know it's cool.
- 45:57Speaker 9: I don't even work there, but I'll come. I'll come
- 45:59Speaker 9: wait on you and take your.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Sir.
- 46:03Speaker 9: What we're looking like today?
- 46:04Speaker 3: What you need?
- 46:07Speaker 9: All right?
- 46:08Speaker 1: All right, guys. Up next it is the Nephew and
- 46:12Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening to
- 46:16Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at about four
- 46:23Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. It's my Strawberry letter for today,
- 46:26Speaker 1: and the subject is nothing has changed since she got
- 46:30Speaker 1: her ring. Okay, we'll get into that find out what
- 46:34Speaker 1: that's all about in just a few minutes, because right

- 46:58Speaker 10: tell you something.
- 46:59Speaker 4: I'm finished or campaigning for Ready to Love, Charlotte.
- 47:03Speaker 10: I'm a campaign for that.
- 47:05Speaker 3: All right.
- 47:06Speaker 4: That's a great spot for Ready to Love. That is
- 47:08Speaker 4: a great spot ready to Love. So we're gonna run

- 47:34Speaker 4: So this right here, Shirley, this is called your check bounce. Yeah,
- 47:38Speaker 4: you know, people still bounce on checks at the church.
- 47:40Speaker 4: They're still doing.

- 47:52Speaker 9: Greater Missionary Baptist Church.
- 47:54Speaker 8: How can I help you?
- 47:55Speaker 9: Calling you? Actually about the offering?
- 47:57Speaker 10: Now?
- 47:57Speaker 4: Did you?
- 47:58Speaker 9: I know you paid your ties my times every Sunday? Okay,
- 48:01Speaker 9: Now you paid a love offering as well?
- 48:03Speaker 6: Right?
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yes, I do?
- 48:05Speaker 10: Okay, Now this past Sunday, I'm looking at a check.
- 48:09Speaker 8: That you left us with the bank, right right, I
- 48:12Speaker 8: sure did. I wrote a check Sunday.
- 48:14Speaker 9: Okay. Now the check ma'am, was two hundred and fifty dollars?
- 48:19Speaker 9: Am I correct?
- 48:19Speaker 5: Right? Right?
- 48:20Speaker 8: I wrote two checks for my ties and the love offer. Right,
- 48:23Speaker 8: I wrote one for two to fifty for the love offer. Okay,
- 48:26Speaker 8: now what is this call regarding why are you calling me?
- 48:29Speaker 4: Well, what I wanted to tell you is that I
- 48:31Speaker 4: hate to be a very bad news, but your your
- 48:34Speaker 4: check that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced.
- 48:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 8: Wait a minute, you said my check bounce for two
- 48:40Speaker 8: hundred and fifty dollars.
- 48:42Speaker 10: Your check bounced.
- 48:43Speaker 9: So what I'm doing is calling you about recouping the
- 48:46Speaker 9: two fifty as well as you know you you cost
- 48:49Speaker 9: us thirty dollars in bank fees. Back.
- 48:53Speaker 8: Wait a minute, now, I wrote two checks. I wrote

- 49:02Speaker 8: What did you put them in at the same time?
- 49:04Speaker 8: Because I wrote them at the same time.
- 49:06Speaker 4: They all go in on Monday, ma'am. Now, I didn't
- 49:08Speaker 4: put them in at the same time. I've been putting
- 49:10Speaker 4: them in for the last two three years. The problem
- 49:12Speaker 4: is why would people write there, what is your name,
- 49:15Speaker 4: brother Deshaun?
- 49:16Speaker 8: And you was at his Sunday?
- 49:17Speaker 9: I don't think it matters when I was there, ma'am.
- 49:21Speaker 9: The problem is is that I didn't put these checks in.
- 49:23Speaker 9: And I don't understand why y'all write these checks to
- 49:26Speaker 9: the checks knowing that they're gonna.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Boce the checks.
- 49:28Speaker 8: There's a lot of people, righte good, well not write
- 49:31Speaker 8: bad check? One clear? Why the other one didn't clear?
- 49:34Speaker 9: Maybe you didn't have enough money for both of them
- 49:36Speaker 9: to clear.
- 49:37Speaker 7: What did you just say?
- 49:39Speaker 9: Maybe you didn't have enough money in the bank for
- 49:41Speaker 9: both of them to clear. And I don't understand why
- 49:43Speaker 9: people write these.
- 49:43Speaker 8: Plenty money in the bank and all my checks clear.
- 49:46Speaker 8: I don't write no rubber checks.
- 49:48Speaker 9: Well, you wrote one on Sunday, and that's the problem.
- 49:51Speaker 9: How you're gonna try to give a look?
- 49:53Speaker 8: Wait a minute, I think you got me confused with
- 49:55Speaker 8: somebody else. I don't write no bad checks.
- 49:57Speaker 6: You done wrote that to be nice to you.
- 49:59Speaker 9: I'm trying to be nice to you. Win up, Can

- 50:05Speaker 9: Bank fees ma'am for the dog go on check bouncing?
- 50:08Speaker 8: My check don bounced. I'm gonna check my bank and
- 50:11Speaker 8: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 50:13Speaker 8: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 50:16Speaker 8: fifty dollars check bounce.
- 50:18Speaker 9: I don't write no why would you write check? You
- 50:20Speaker 9: want to sit up in the church and write these
- 50:22Speaker 9: big number checks when you know you ain't got it
- 50:24Speaker 9: in the bank.
- 50:24Speaker 6: What did you say?

- 51:31Speaker 9: Pastor know you talking like this?
- 51:33Speaker 8: You pastor know you calling me?
- 51:35Speaker 5: Can you ask for that?
- 51:36Speaker 3: Look?
- 51:36Speaker 9: When are we gonna get this? Two hundred and eighty

- 56:43Speaker 9: Hold on time. We got it for you.
- 56:44Speaker 10: Here it is strawberry letter.
- 56:47Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject. Nothing has changed since
- 56:51Speaker 1: she got her ring. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm about to
- 56:54Speaker 1: marry an intense woman and she stays lit, meaning she
- 56:58Speaker 1: doesn't know when enough is in. It was fun when
- 57:01Speaker 1: we first met and we were out every night, or
- 57:04Speaker 1: we'd take a limo ride to Chicago for dinner and
- 57:06Speaker 1: have sex and a limo on our way home. She
- 57:09Speaker 1: would shop all day and get me as many nice
- 57:12Speaker 1: things as she bought herself. We have a lot of
- 57:14Speaker 1: money between us, so it was not an issue. I
- 57:18Speaker 1: did a big thing and I bought a big ring
- 57:20Speaker 1: and decided to settle down. We're both forty one, so
- 57:23Speaker 1: it's time to stop kicking it and get serious about marriage.
- 57:27Speaker 1: We bought a house together and I let her furnish
- 57:30Speaker 1: it when we still didn't have furniture. Three months later,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I asked her, what's up. She said, it is being
- 57:35Speaker 1: shipped from overseas. I told her that was a bit excessive,
- 57:40Speaker 1: and she argued that she's not settling for less when
- 57:43Speaker 1: it comes to any part of her life. I should
- 57:46Speaker 1: have taken that as a warning, but I kept letting
- 57:48Speaker 1: her spend a lot of money, and I started paying
- 57:51Speaker 1: all of the bills. She planned a very extravagant housewarming
- 57:55Speaker 1: party and I picked up the check. Since I gave
- 57:58Speaker 1: her that ring, I'd become her personal banker. I'm a
- 58:01Speaker 1: real man and I want to be a provider, but
- 58:04Speaker 1: it's too much for me because I'm a saver, not
- 58:07Speaker 1: a spender. I also have to work hard and cannot
- 58:11Speaker 1: have sex all day and night on demand. At my age,
- 58:14Speaker 1: I'm exhausted and I can't have sex twice a night
- 58:17Speaker 1: like we used to. I'm worn out in more ways
- 58:20Speaker 1: than one. To make matters worse, her sister is coming
- 58:24Speaker 1: to visit, and she already has a car service booked
- 58:26Speaker 1: for each day so they can run the streets at
- 58:28Speaker 1: my expense. My wife works, but she never pulls out
- 58:33Speaker 1: her credit card. Would I be wrong to ask her
- 58:36Speaker 1: to cut back a bit or at least discussed major
- 58:39Speaker 1: discuss major money moves with me first. No, it's not
- 58:42Speaker 1: wrong for you to ask her to cut back and
- 58:44Speaker 1: to discuss major money moves with you. You guys should
- 58:48Speaker 1: be able to discuss anything. But the question is, why
- 58:51Speaker 1: haven't you already discussed this? This is a you problem
- 58:54Speaker 1: all the way through this letter, because why are you
- 58:57Speaker 1: expecting her to change when she's been like this since
- 59:00Speaker 1: day one? You used to participate with her in this.
- 59:04Speaker 1: This is who she is, you wrote to Steve, and
- 59:07Speaker 1: I like, you know there's something we can say to
- 59:10Speaker 1: you to make her change. You said it yourself. She's intent.
- 59:14Speaker 1: She stays lit, meaning she doesn't know when enough is enough.
- 59:17Speaker 1: These are your words, But what.
- 59:20Speaker 7: Did you do with that?
- 59:21Speaker 1: You went out and bought her a big ring, saying
- 59:24Speaker 1: it's time to settle down and get serious about marriage.
- 59:28Speaker 1: It sounds like you're the only one that's serious about
- 59:31Speaker 1: marriage in this situation. She obviously didn't get the memo
- 59:34Speaker 1: because nothing she has done is out of character and
- 59:37Speaker 1: you can't change her again. This is who she is.
- 59:40Speaker 1: You've changed though.
- 59:42Speaker 9: Here you are just.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Forty one saying you're exhausted and worn out. I think
- 59:46Speaker 1: you guys need to reevaluate your relationship because you two
- 59:50Speaker 1: are on two different pages. You're on two different stages
- 59:53Speaker 1: in life, and it's not going to work like this.
- 59:55Speaker 1: You guys have to talk and try to work this out.
- 59:58Speaker 1: If you can see.
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: Yeah, dog, you got a problem now.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: I don't really know how you're gonna handle this, because
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: there's a lot of information in here we don't have.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: But the stuff you've given us, it's not looking good.
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: This just leads me to one thing that somebody told
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: me one time about marriage. When you get married, the
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: only thing that will change between the two of you
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: is appearance of your left hand, third finger. Whatever is
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: going on, Whatever is going on, it's you know, it's
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: it's going to continue, and it's only going to get worse.
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: How you haven't had budget talks by now it is
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: beyond me, But now it's here. Now really has been passed. Though,
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: I'm just gonna be honest with you. I don't know
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: what y'all was doing in the beginning, Spending whatever you
- 1:01:03Speaker 9: want to spend how you want to spend, going to
- 1:01:05Speaker 9: dinner in Chicago, getting a limo, having sex in the
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: car on the way home. Well, y'all make it now
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: you hear what not hear? Where you sound a little
- 1:01:13Speaker 9: confusing to me? We have a lot of money between us,
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: so it's not an issue. Okay, then why it's an issue? See,
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: I don't care who you are. And let me be clear,
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: this whole lot of money do like you want to.
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: I don't know a lot of people can do that. Man,
- 1:01:36Speaker 9: I don't know a lot of people can do that.
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: And I know a few billionaires, and I've actually been
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: in the room with them and they're going, Man, my
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: wife tripping, and I'm sitting there going nobody's tripping, and
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: I'm thinking they talking about some infidelity. Man, she's gonna
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: spend too much money. And that's always interesting to me
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: because you have billions. But guess what, I don't care
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: who you are, you could do too much. And guess what,
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: y'all don't done too much. Even major corporations who are
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: worth hundreds of billions of dollars, guess what. They have budgets.
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: Each department has a certain amount that they have to
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: stay within. Every small company should have budgets. Every marriage
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: should have budgets, and any relationship should have budgets.
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: Y'all ain't got none.
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: So here we go. I guess I'll come back on
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: the next half tell you what's fitna happen to you?
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: But it already is, because I don't think y'all really
- 1:02:48Speaker 9: got as much money as y'all thought y'all had. But
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: now this coll service is finna throw.
- 1:02:53Speaker 10: You into so.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: All right, we'll have part two of your response Steve
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes to after the hour.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Today's strawberry letter subject nothing has changed since she got
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: her ring. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside?
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean? And
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: half the time make the swap to Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: The only one.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: Cleaning Hero has a built in solution that breaks down
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: dirt and grime like magic. With hundreds of scrubbing strips
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: on the pad, it absorbs sticky messes with ease. Plus,
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: it'll leave your home smelling great for hours after cleaning.
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: Get yours today and mop smarter with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: The subject is nothing has changed since she got her ring.
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: Nothing has changed. These women and this man been dating
- 1:03:55Speaker 9: each other. They bot forty one.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:03:58Speaker 9: He says, I'm about to marry an intense woman and
- 1:04:02Speaker 9: she stays lit. At first I thought she meant she
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: stay high, but that the form of lit he's talking
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: about in this letter. It's just she just she keep
- 1:04:13Speaker 9: it on tilt, she spind she shopped. Whatever she do
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: is at the higher end of it. She's extreme. She's extreme.
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: I think it's the best way to say it. We
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: first met, we were out every night, take trips in
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: the limo ride Chicago, have sex and the limb on
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: the way home. She shop all day, give me as
- 1:04:36Speaker 9: many nice things she bought herself. We have a lot
- 1:04:39Speaker 9: of money between us, so it's not an issue. Okay,
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: Then the whole rest of this letter is about money
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: and the problems they have.
- 1:04:49Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: I did a big thing. I bought a big ring,
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: decided to settle down. We bought a house together. Man,
- 1:04:57Speaker 9: you falling. I'm about a ring at a house same year,
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: and when we still didn't have furniture three months later,
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: I asked her what's up. She said, it's being shipped
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: from overseas. I told her, well, that's a big excessive.
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: She augus.
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: She ain't selling for less when it comes to any
- 1:05:19Speaker 10: part of her life.
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: I should have taken that as a warning, but I
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: kept letting her spend a lot of money, and I
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: started paying all the bills. Then she played an extravagant
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: house woman party and you picked up the check. Now, bruh,
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: say ever since I gave her that ring, I'm a
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: real man and I want to be a provider, but
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: it's too much for me because I'm a saverer, not
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: a spender. Well, bro, we got a problem because she's
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: not a saver, she's a spender, okay. And then he
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: talked about I gotta work hard all day and I
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: can't all day and on the mad okay, hold of
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: dag is she working? Because y'all said it was a
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: lot of money between y'all, Yeah, she works, work were
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: and as what?
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: He didn't say that? He said, my wife works, but
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: she never pulls out her credit card.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: Then I'm worn out in more ways in one. Now
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: her sister come to visit, and she already got a
- 1:06:28Speaker 9: car service book for every day so they can run
- 1:06:30Speaker 9: the streets. At my experience, see dog a minute ago.
- 1:06:34Speaker 9: We have lots of money between us, so money is
- 1:06:38Speaker 9: not an issue. But the whole letter is about money issues.
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: My wife works, but she never pulls out her credit card.
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: Would I be wrong to ask her to cut back
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: a bit or at least discuss major money moves with me,
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: pray should have been did this sounded to me like
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: you a whole lot of money too late? But then
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: she'd a told you she ain't cutting back in no
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: area of her life. So prepare yourself, brother, not to
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: have nothing. Yeah that's where you head at, homie. Yeah,
- 1:07:15Speaker 9: you're about to have a whole lot of nothing. And
- 1:07:18Speaker 9: y'all keep talking about them credit cards. All you finna
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: have is some debt. You're finn have credit card debt. So, bro,
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: I don't know what to tell you. Man. If y'all
- 1:07:28Speaker 9: don't put a budget to the spending, you're not gonna
- 1:07:30Speaker 9: have it for long. And you're forty one and the
- 1:07:34Speaker 9: older you get, you don't increase your spending. You should
- 1:07:38Speaker 9: be working on increasing your assets. But right now here
- 1:07:42Speaker 9: y'all spending money on a lot of liabilities.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Say that again, Steve that what you said.
- 1:07:49Speaker 9: The older you get, well, older get you need to
- 1:07:51Speaker 9: be accumulating assets and not liabilities. You have to come
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: up with stuff. A home is a to me. I've
- 1:07:59Speaker 9: hear grant hard to owning. Several people say lately owning
- 1:08:02Speaker 9: a home it's the worst thing you can do. I'm sorry,
- 1:08:06Speaker 9: I like owning my house.
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: I just do.
- 1:08:09Speaker 9: It might be the stupidest thing. It might be some
- 1:08:11Speaker 9: tax advantages to get in the house and living in
- 1:08:14Speaker 9: it rent and all like that, but I want my house.
- 1:08:19Speaker 9: I wants to be able to say to somebody, get
- 1:08:23Speaker 9: out of my house. I don't want nobody coming in.
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: And I like the house.
- 1:08:30Speaker 10: Now he telling me we're gonna sell it, We're gonna
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: need you to move get out.
- 1:08:37Speaker 9: So I've heard all of this. I'm gonna have to
- 1:08:39Speaker 9: pull a grant to the side and talk to him.
- 1:08:41Speaker 9: But I'm not finna do that. And bruh, I don't
- 1:08:46Speaker 9: know where you at, man, I don't. I just don't
- 1:08:50Speaker 9: know where you're at. So good luck with it. I
- 1:08:54Speaker 9: wish you the best. Sounds horrible to me, a myth. Well, brother,
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: y'all getting married now you seem like you, deep in
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: you do love the girl. But y'all gotta work this out.
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: If either y'all worked this out or it's gonna work
- 1:09:12Speaker 9: you out. But you can't keep spending like this for
- 1:09:15Speaker 9: help it don't that ain't had well. You're about ring
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: in the house and to save me and assistant coming
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: to call service. Car service gonna crack you. That means
- 1:09:22Speaker 9: you don't have a lot of money. Okay, let's stop this.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Well, why did he say that though we have a
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: lot of money between us?
- 1:09:29Speaker 9: Because he was flexing, he hadn't finished the letter sherely.
- 1:09:32Speaker 9: You know, when you start typing, you gotta beginning of
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: middle in an end. He forgot that the middle of
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: the end was going to gate the beginning. Bad storyteller
- 1:09:43Speaker 9: is what he is.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Maybe his idea of a lot of money. Yeah, all right,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: thank you, Steve. Leave your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter

- 1:10:42Speaker 1: It is time now for junior and sports talk, which
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: you got junior all.
- 1:10:46Speaker 9: Right, surely won't last Fridy.
- 1:10:47Speaker 11: Let's give a shot out to coach Prime because the
- 1:10:49Speaker 11: University of Colorado Buffalo's had their pro day and man,
- 1:10:52Speaker 11: they look good. Shador look good. Scout's love they saw,
- 1:10:54Speaker 11: They said, he's seen four years of it. It looks silid.
- 1:10:57Speaker 11: Sharlo Sander's ran a full five in the forty Shiloh
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: Sad that's going for free safety in the NFL. Jimmy
- 1:11:04Speaker 11: Hornt junior ran a four to four wide receiver. Jimmy
- 1:11:07Speaker 11: Hornt Junior ran in four four. Now, Travis Hunter did
- 1:11:09Speaker 11: not run the forty. He opted out of that city.
- 1:11:11Speaker 11: Wanted to concentrate on other aspects as far as like
- 1:11:15Speaker 11: being a wide receiver his route running. Now, the NFL
- 1:11:17Speaker 11: scots said they think they think that Travis Hunter wants
- 1:11:20Speaker 11: to be a wide receiver in the NFL because he
- 1:11:22Speaker 11: didn't backpedal one time.
- 1:11:24Speaker 10: For the dB.
- 1:11:24Speaker 11: He didn't do no dB drills. He just did wide receiver.
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: So they don't know if he wanted to play cornerback
- 1:11:30Speaker 11: in the NFL. So, but that shoutout coach Pride brings
- 1:11:34Speaker 11: out Also, man, can we get to this what's going
- 1:11:36Speaker 11: on with John Moran? Did anybody want to say, do
- 1:11:39Speaker 11: we just stop talking to John? Just don't even say
- 1:11:42Speaker 11: nothing no more?
- 1:11:43Speaker 10: What happened Jr?
- 1:11:44Speaker 11: Because he got fined seventy five thousand dollars for point
- 1:11:47Speaker 11: guns at the Miami He benched this time the same
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: gun yet again.
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: He did it again. They just talked to it again.
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: They just talked to him about doing it over there
- 1:11:57Speaker 11: to Golden State, and he went and did it again,
- 1:12:00Speaker 11: and they finally this time seventy five thousand.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: I'm through with this with him here, I'm through with that.
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: You did it again. Well, here's a part we're leaving out.
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: He has a father, His father be at all the games.
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: If your daddy can't get through to you, I mean,
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: I don't understand.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: Look man, it's got to be another way to show
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: your excitement, another way to threaten somebody, you know, or.
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: Celebrate your yeah, your moves, your shots, you're you know,
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: on the floor, another way to celebrate that beat your chest.
- 1:12:34Speaker 9: You know, it's working.
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: Like, do that in front of their face. Go over
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: to the bench and just start tworking.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Men don't really work a lot, but yeah, that would
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: be fun.
- 1:12:50Speaker 9: We're gonna work for I send you to seventy five thousand.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, immediately.
- 1:12:59Speaker 10: This just don't mean just can't get the court man,
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: that's all.
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: Do the snake. It's nice little dance mood. Do the snake.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: Just get the running man.
- 1:13:08Speaker 9: It's still good on basketball, running man. You don't my dance?

- 1:13:31Speaker 11: Colin Marrakawa.
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: And Bryan is playing.
- 1:13:36Speaker 12: No Tiger is not playing time all right, but we
- 1:13:39Speaker 12: still gotta watch no no.
- 1:13:41Speaker 9: Moving on, moving on.
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: There you.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: All right, junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: of the hour, lady is pregnant by her sister stepson
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: and she needs some advice. We'll get into that right
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: after this. Yeah, you're listening to the Steeve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:02Speaker 12: All right, here we go.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: This is from Olivia in Mobile. Olivia says, my family
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: is not speaking to me because I'm having a baby
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: by my nephew. He is my sister's stepson, so they
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: are not blood related at all. She is married. She
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: married his dad four years ago and we met at
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: their wedding. He and I started hooking up after the wedding.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: He's twenty six and I'm twenty eight. This is my
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: first child. But I can't be happy because my own
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: mother called me a piece of trash. How can she
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: talk about me when my daddy was married to another
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: woman when she had me and my sister. I want
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: a healthy pregnancy. Yeah, so how do I get past
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: these haters? True, that's a lot.
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: Well, you know what I think the reality of it
- 1:14:52Speaker 9: is is they're not really related, that they're not blood
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: relatives at all.
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: This is her sister's step son.
- 1:15:03Speaker 9: Her sister married a man, and at their wedding, this
- 1:15:08Speaker 9: woman that's pregnant, who wasn't pregnant at the time, met
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: her sister's husband's son.
- 1:15:15Speaker 10: So now you got the daddy, I got the boy.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a two year differenced.
- 1:15:26Speaker 9: Yeah, it's it's really not that big a deal. And
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: they started hooking up right after them. Yeah, I wouldn't
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: do that.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Though, Yeah, that's crazy, right there, don't say that.
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: Yeah, stop saying that.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Well, she didn't say, but her mother certainly is mad
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: at her.
- 1:15:47Speaker 9: Hell yeah, Well I promise you the dadd ain't mad
- 1:15:51Speaker 9: at the son because you're going to see you boy.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but her mother's mad at her though for doing it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 10: I don't think yeah, I don't think that she needs
- 1:16:01Speaker 10: to be mad at the daughter.
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: No. I think they met at the wedd and they
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: started hooking up after that. They're not really related and
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: we need to stop all this.
- 1:16:11Speaker 10: Yeah, baby gonna be fine.
- 1:16:13Speaker 9: Well, the baby is gonna be confused.
- 1:16:15Speaker 10: It's gonna be a lot of people to me.
- 1:16:19Speaker 9: You know, your uncle is your daddy's couzy, Yeah, crazy
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: uncle daddy. You know your brother is your daddy.
- 1:16:35Speaker 10: That's right.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, my baby daddy slash nephew. That's not cool.
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: Yeah, but the baby coming now, so they need to.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Yeah, they do. They need to work it out. Yeah,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: all right, we have time for another one. See this
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: is from Lloyd in Huntsville. I said, come on, yeah, Lloyd, Yeah,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: yeah yeah l l O Y d in Huntsville. Lloyd said,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I repeated something that my wife told me, and she
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: had a big blow up with her girlfriend over it.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I was so busy gossiping and telling jokes about the
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: situation that I didn't consider how embarrassed her friend would
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: be if it got out. It's so bad that I
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: can't even tell you what happened. But it had something
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: to do with not making it to the toilet on
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: time or in time. I'm sure you have taken a
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: joke too far before. It would mean the world to
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: me if you could tell me how to fix this.
- 1:17:39Speaker 10: Oh no, Dog, I can't him.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Yeah that's the middle name, sugar.
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: Yeah. See, you may nothing you can do exself? See me,
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: wells I know how and took it too far? Gone,
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: finish it on out? Yeah, remember we comediate? Why was
- 1:18:02Speaker 9: you over here in the joke division anyway?
- 1:18:05Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 1:18:05Speaker 9: He was. Yeah, the people you told it to can't
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: take a joke. And then you don't tell a joke
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: right because you have told it to the wrong people.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Uh huh?
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: And some information your girls shared with you and you
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: went around and blabbed it. Why are you gossip it? Yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: it ain't the joke, Dog. Is you running your mouth
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: behind some stuff your girl told you in secret? That's
- 1:18:30Speaker 9: the problem. You have and that's not how do you
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: fix a joke.
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: You can't feel on yourself no more without somebody said
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: coming up.

- 1:19:19Speaker 1: rise across the country, and a second child has died
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: from measles in Texas. It's sad to say, according to
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Texas health officials, the child had not been vaccinated. There
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: are six hundred and forty two cases of measles across
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: twenty two states, with four hundred and ninety nine of
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: the cases in Texas, Okay. Measles spread through the air
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or through direct
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: contact with infected droplets. Wow. Yeah, well at least he's
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: into vaccines now, you know, for meesels, it's insane. Yeah,
