- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them move like the milking buck things and its
- 0:17Speaker 1: coubins be true. Good it. Steve ha listening to movie
- 0:26Speaker 1: together for Stuary. I don't join joining me. You gotta turn,
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out to turn the water the water. Come, come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back at it. Uh huh, I shall will.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But like I said the other day, you got something too, though,
- 2:15Speaker 1: don't you. God hadn't done something wonderful for you. You
- 2:18Speaker 1: just gotta thank Him for it, you know, in the
- 2:21Speaker 1: midst of all that's going on in my life and
- 2:23Speaker 1: in your life. You know, I always use myself as
- 2:27Speaker 1: an example because well, I mean that way. I guarantee
- 2:31Speaker 1: one hundred percent I know what I'm talking about. Um,
- 2:34Speaker 1: here's the situation, you know, with everything that's going on
- 2:38Speaker 1: in my life and all the things I'm asking God
- 2:40Speaker 1: for in the midst of a taxing and a very
- 2:47Speaker 1: trying situation. That's very challenging for me right now. Man,
- 2:51Speaker 1: God just keeps on, keeps on surprising me. He keeps
- 2:57Speaker 1: doing things, And I want you to look at your
- 2:59Speaker 1: life or for a second, Okay, let's do this. Let's
- 3:06Speaker 1: make two columns here. Let's make a column of all
- 3:10Speaker 1: the things you want from God. You know, just do
- 3:13Speaker 1: that throughout the course of the day. You know, you know,
- 3:16Speaker 1: run down the list of all the things you're asking
- 3:18Speaker 1: God for, all the things you're praying for, the things
- 3:21Speaker 1: you aspire to, what your dreams, your visions, whatever it is.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Just make a column, a list of all those things.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Let's make three lists. And then the second list, I
- 3:32Speaker 1: want you to make a list of everything that you've
- 3:37Speaker 1: been asking God for, so I guess that could be
- 3:40Speaker 1: a little bit of the same. But this third list,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I want you to do a check off point. I
- 3:45Speaker 1: want you to do a make a list of everything
- 3:48Speaker 1: that God has given you that you've asked him for.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Just think about it like that for a second. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: may be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm
- 3:57Speaker 1: gonna pull it together for you. Make a list of
- 4:01Speaker 1: everything you're asking God for. Just just listed. You know,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's okay. It's a dream board. You can call it that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I got one. It's a vision board. You know. Every
- 4:09Speaker 1: everybody's got something you hope for. Make a list now.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I want you to make another list of everything you've
- 4:17Speaker 1: asked God for that he's given you already. See this
- 4:22Speaker 1: is a good list because sometimes and what I've been
- 4:26Speaker 1: guilty of, and maybe you two in my request list
- 4:30Speaker 1: on my dream board. I keep focusing so hard sometimes
- 4:35Speaker 1: on the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing
- 4:39Speaker 1: so hard on the what I hope he gives me.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I keep focusing so hard on the things that I
- 4:46Speaker 1: yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he
- 4:51Speaker 1: starts checking off my wish list, the things I've asked
- 4:55Speaker 1: for in the past that have come to pass that
- 4:58Speaker 1: he's given me. Sometimes, in praying for what I want
- 5:03Speaker 1: forget to thank him for what he's done for me.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: this morning when I woke up, I really, man, I
- 5:12Speaker 1: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
- 5:14Speaker 1: tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God, you
- 5:17Speaker 1: know what I really do need all them things I'm
- 5:20Speaker 1: asking for and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
- 5:26Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here. I had to
- 5:31Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:34Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and look. Or you
- 5:37Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, so just leave yourself in it. Then,
- 5:42Speaker 1: But man, I started looking at the eye part of me,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and I started looking around at the what's happening overall, Like, man,
- 5:50Speaker 1: he has kept my family together in spite of the
- 5:54Speaker 1: attempts to tear it apart. I look at all of that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I look at how he's blessing my children with the
- 5:59Speaker 1: desires of the heart, which I pray for my kids.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You know, I want my kids to have a better
- 6:03Speaker 1: life than I've had. I really really do. I don't
- 6:06Speaker 1: want them to take as long as it took me
- 6:09Speaker 1: to get it together. I really really don't. I'm trying
- 6:12Speaker 1: to say, hey, man, if you go to college, this
- 6:13Speaker 1: is what you can be. Don't do like your father did.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Don't go three years, drop out, throw yourself into a spiral.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And then got to start to scratch all over again,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you know, and for the most part so far, you know,
- 6:26Speaker 1: they're doing quite well of it, you know, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 1: they they're getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me
- 6:34Speaker 1: overcome with some of the previous mistakes I've made in
- 6:38Speaker 1: relationships in my life. And then I started looking about
- 6:42Speaker 1: the things he's blessed me with that I've been asking
- 6:45Speaker 1: him for. But since I've moved on from it, I
- 6:48Speaker 1: forgot to keep thinking him because I gotta always thank
- 6:51Speaker 1: God for a roof over my head, because guess what,
- 6:53Speaker 1: when I was asking for the roof and I didn't
- 6:56Speaker 1: really have it, then he gave me one. Since he
- 6:58Speaker 1: gave it to me, what, I'm just cool now, I
- 7:00Speaker 1: can't ever go back to him and go, hey, man,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I really do appreciate this roof over my head because
- 7:05Speaker 1: that was a time when I was living in a car.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But see, so every morning I wake up, I gotta
- 7:10Speaker 1: remember the fact that I have a home now, because
- 7:13Speaker 1: I got to look back and go, man, that was time, Steve,
- 7:16Speaker 1: when you didn't have no home. But see, we forget
- 7:18Speaker 1: what God has done for us because in our column,
- 7:22Speaker 1: the won't column, the need column. We oftentimes forget for
- 7:28Speaker 1: the columns and the check marks as He's already fulfilled
- 7:31Speaker 1: in our life. You've got to take inventory every now
- 7:35Speaker 1: and then daily if possible. But I know we're humans.
- 7:39Speaker 1: We're not gonna do that. I don't. But you've got
- 7:42Speaker 1: to take inventory of your life to say, hey, what
- 7:46Speaker 1: has God done for me? Because man, you're overlooking as
- 7:50Speaker 1: He's doing these wonderful things for you, because there's so
- 7:54Speaker 1: much onner yet to be fulfilled. I don't have part
- 7:57Speaker 1: of your life. You forget that sax And man, how
- 8:01Speaker 1: crazy is that that, of all God has done for me,
- 8:05Speaker 1: that I keep wanting so many more things, needing so
- 8:09Speaker 1: many more things, hoping so many things come to pass
- 8:12Speaker 1: and get fulfilled. I forget to check off. To listen
- 8:15Speaker 1: and take inventory today. Take inventory of your life. You
- 8:19Speaker 1: will find out that God is watching you, That He
- 8:24Speaker 1: is really really watching over you, in spite of yourself,
- 8:27Speaker 1: in spite of your shortcomings, because we all got him.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Please know, I do you know? And remember something else too.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge
- 8:40Speaker 1: that it is. Look, a lot of you come up
- 8:43Speaker 1: to me all the time and say Steve Man, thank you, man, boy,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you in the morning. Man, I really be needing that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I said it a hundred times, but I'm gonna say
- 8:52Speaker 1: it again, y'all. I'll be needing it too. You know,
- 8:56Speaker 1: you understand, sometimes what God is dealing with me is
- 9:01Speaker 1: for me. But now I'm in a sharing position where
- 9:04Speaker 1: I can open up and if I just if I
- 9:06Speaker 1: just quit being so about me and become a little
- 9:09Speaker 1: bit more transparent, I can maybe some of me that's
- 9:13Speaker 1: happening to me is happening to you, and you can
- 9:15Speaker 1: see some of this in me. That's why I use
- 9:17Speaker 1: myself as an example, because man, I'm catching it too, y'all.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I ain't perfect either. So for those of you that
- 9:25Speaker 1: come up to me and say that, I want you
- 9:26Speaker 1: to understand these talks in the morning. Man, this is
- 9:30Speaker 1: important for me because man, I need these conversations from God.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I need God to continue to strengthen me, to show
- 9:39Speaker 1: me the way, to help me understand what's happening to me.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And see, as we've all those of you who have
- 9:46Speaker 1: made the decision to change to become a better person,
- 9:49Speaker 1: a better woman, a better boy, a better girl, a
- 9:51Speaker 1: better man. For those of you has made the decision
- 9:53Speaker 1: to change. Change is a challenge, and accept the challenge
- 9:56Speaker 1: because it's gonna come. Because right out of that here
- 9:59Speaker 1: come to hate us. Here they come people you don't
- 10:02Speaker 1: even know. Discussion your life in your change. If God
- 10:06Speaker 1: see you really really mean what you say in spite
- 10:09Speaker 1: of what they say about you, God will raise you
- 10:12Speaker 1: above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you. He'll keep blessing you,
- 10:17Speaker 1: He'll keep moving you up. He will use you as
- 10:21Speaker 1: a show off point. He'll show you off. Man. He'll
- 10:24Speaker 1: make you. He'll make you look good to people man
- 10:27Speaker 1: who wish you'd fall all day long, and so to
- 10:30Speaker 1: all your haters. All your haters will end up just
- 10:32Speaker 1: watching you rise. Man, They will watch you continue to grow.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That's what God will do for you. Man, you can
- 10:38Speaker 1: fool the world, but you can't fool God. God know
- 10:41Speaker 1: your heart, He know your every thought. Man. So change
- 10:45Speaker 1: is good. But change is a challenge. Accept the challenge,
- 10:49Speaker 1: Expect the haters, expect the unnecessary. But God will strengthen
- 10:53Speaker 1: you and get you through it all. Man, y'all doing
- 10:55Speaker 1: swell this morning. Man, don't let anybody make you. Thank
- 10:58Speaker 1: you all keep talking to God, all right? You're listening
- 11:01Speaker 1: to Steven Show. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people
- 11:09Speaker 1: all around the world. Come on now, you are listening
- 11:13Speaker 1: to the baddest morning show on planet Earth. Watch it
- 11:16Speaker 1: sucker see right there for no reason at all, just
- 11:20Speaker 1: stuff come out has all of a sudden wedded ones.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It's just no reading, ladies and gentlemen. This show is
- 11:29Speaker 1: dedicated to crossing guards. Yes the world who never get
- 11:35Speaker 1: ahead clapped and people are stand up in the middle
- 11:39Speaker 1: of traffic and stop traffic. They still have was that sodio?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Dumbass child can cross the street that not once a day,
- 11:49Speaker 1: but twice a day, going and coming, so your child
- 11:54Speaker 1: won't pay attention why he crossing the street? Stay out there,
- 11:58Speaker 1: fault ray, sleet of snow. They didn't even go to
- 12:02Speaker 1: the bathroom. No, we salute all of the crossing crossing
- 12:08Speaker 1: god man, because don't nobody never mentioned it? Then you
- 12:13Speaker 1: want to be one When you was in school, didn't
- 12:14Speaker 1: you want to hold them? Yeah? I was, I was.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I was a guard. You know we had flag duty.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yea have a flag and be a guard and you
- 12:21Speaker 1: opened the flag for the kids to go cross. Oh
- 12:24Speaker 1: that was an important job back then. Yeah, I had
- 12:28Speaker 1: that job while I started to come on this way
- 12:35Speaker 1: now this this sit by time I said, stopped it. Damn,
- 12:42Speaker 1: somebody kid got hit. Yeah yeah, the kids get hit
- 12:48Speaker 1: on block down. I ain't know. We don't want to
- 12:54Speaker 1: go this way. You shut up, you boy, Come on.
- 12:59Speaker 1: He kills later for school. He comes up. Hey, man,
- 13:07Speaker 1: I broke my GUARDI did a car pass. I broke
- 13:11Speaker 1: my guard stick on the last singleton's head because he
- 13:14Speaker 1: was the bullet that used to beat us up all
- 13:16Speaker 1: and just one day, man, I just got tired of
- 13:18Speaker 1: he was just standing there, just mocking me. This is stupid,
- 13:22Speaker 1: this this this this dude what I was just standing
- 13:26Speaker 1: that talking about stupid on my bush? You cross your
- 13:29Speaker 1: here with the damn guards. Whoa splitted in half? Love? Man?
- 13:35Speaker 1: I got suspended for that, I bet you did, which
- 13:37Speaker 1: was like really cool. I ain't had to go up
- 13:39Speaker 1: there for three days. I thought that was to fight
- 13:41Speaker 1: him again. Oh yeah, y'all. Oh oh he wu my ass?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Oh how much bigger was he than Oh? Lad was huge? Lad?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Hey man, we were nine. He looked like he was fifteen.
- 13:53Speaker 1: But come mass boy. But but but great big old front,
- 13:58Speaker 1: great big old a man. He was so damned stupid man. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: big ass teeth, Yeah, big back. He was muscular. What
- 14:09Speaker 1: grade was this man? Child? Six? So he looked like
- 14:12Speaker 1: you like in a night like yeah, high school junior.
- 14:15Speaker 1: He could have went to high school and played like
- 14:18Speaker 1: a junior. But he was older than us because he
- 14:22Speaker 1: got put. He was dune for it. So now he
- 14:25Speaker 1: in the sixth grade, just looking a bitter and level grade.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, thirty something funny is coming up, and
- 14:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna rename this segment. Yeah, please come on in,
- 14:37Speaker 1: don't go nowhere. You're gonna love it. Yeah, because it's
- 14:40Speaker 1: gonna have a word funny in it, but it ain't
- 14:42Speaker 1: gonna be the same. Come on back. We'll be back
- 14:44Speaker 1: at thirty two after you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:49Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, we're back. The words funny
- 14:53Speaker 1: is in it. But what Steve, Ladies and gentlemen, just
- 14:56Speaker 1: a new segment that I created just for today. Oh
- 15:00Speaker 1: this is because of the Carrie Irving trade man. So
- 15:06Speaker 1: instead of thirty something funny, this is sugar hunted iced tea.
- 15:10Speaker 1: That ain't funny. This is the sugar hunted iced tea.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Segment that ain't funny. Let's go from Cleveland. Darrie Irvin
- 15:21Speaker 1: was traded to the Boston Celtics, but Isaiah Thomas and
- 15:28Speaker 1: Jay crowd Hand got a first round kick, first round pick, Brooklyn,
- 15:34Speaker 1: don't worry about first don't worry about that. We just
- 15:43Speaker 1: throw another body. Cain't say we got him because I
- 15:45Speaker 1: don't even know. Ziziac has played on the Israeli Chick
- 15:52Speaker 1: and just got out and he's actually an immigrant from
- 15:56Speaker 1: parts unknown. We had no idea who he what he do?
- 16:02Speaker 1: He don't even know if he never scold? But he
- 16:06Speaker 1: sound like he beat U. You mean scored? Yeah? Okay,
- 16:12Speaker 1: what what? What I think? I'm just clarifying what? No,
- 16:16Speaker 1: what did you think I'm talking about? Let's just say basketball.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I don't know if he g averaging two points. I
- 16:21Speaker 1: don't know if he didn't hit the basket. Sound like
- 16:23Speaker 1: he slowed. He sounds slow. Ziziac don't sound like who
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know? Zi Zac? Sound like he got his name.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Ain't zigzag? And you reverse that he act like he
- 16:39Speaker 1: got zigzag? So what you think you think that's good? Well,
- 16:43Speaker 1: here's the problem with the trade. First of all, Boston
- 16:47Speaker 1: did win the East, right last year because of that
- 16:51Speaker 1: point guard, because of Isaiah. Isaiah was the man on
- 16:56Speaker 1: that team. When it got down to the playoffs, they
- 17:00Speaker 1: doubled Isaiah because they didn't have another star score. So
- 17:04Speaker 1: now Kyrie's Irvan's wish to be on the team and
- 17:08Speaker 1: be the man has come true. He is going to
- 17:12Speaker 1: be the man in Boston. But the problem with this
- 17:16Speaker 1: is Kyrie will not be as good in Boston as
- 17:20Speaker 1: he was in Cleveland because the all of the emphasis
- 17:25Speaker 1: goes to Lebron. Where is he on the floor, what
- 17:29Speaker 1: is he doing? And it made Kyrie a better player.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Now Kyrie is a great basketball good but going to Boston,
- 17:36Speaker 1: the same thing gonna happen to him that happened to
- 17:39Speaker 1: Isaiah when they got to the playoffs. They're gonna double
- 17:41Speaker 1: him up because he doesn't have another star player on
- 17:44Speaker 1: the team. So now you're gonna be the man. But
- 17:49Speaker 1: now the first game of the new season is Boston
- 17:52Speaker 1: versus can Go And why you have a new problem.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Kyrie got his wish to be traded Isaah Zaia didn't
- 18:00Speaker 1: want to be traded Boston. After this kid plays, after
- 18:05Speaker 1: his sister passes, puts his heart and soul on the
- 18:08Speaker 1: line from Boston and then they trade him. You have
- 18:11Speaker 1: now sent a player to your rival who has an
- 18:15Speaker 1: attitude a chip on his shoulder. So now you trade me,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and that's not the place to have, No man, when
- 18:21Speaker 1: I didn't want to be traded, and you send me
- 18:23Speaker 1: to the cavaliers. Who is our arrival? And now we're
- 18:26Speaker 1: gonna face y'all to see who we're in the east.
- 18:29Speaker 1: That guy gonna be playing with another piece of information,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and now he's playing with the greatest player on the planet, Lebron.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Jay question, Steve, hasn't Lebron like open with open arms
- 18:43Speaker 1: welcomed him in which they could not have made that
- 18:48Speaker 1: trade without talking to Lebron. That's the only way that
- 18:51Speaker 1: trade could happen. You gotta go to your star and go,
- 18:54Speaker 1: hey man, we're gonna give up Kyrie, but we're gonna
- 18:57Speaker 1: bring in Isaiah. Can you play with Isaiah? Hell won?
- 19:01Speaker 1: And they get crowded. Who is an animal defense? So
- 19:10Speaker 1: now we got some more people that can check somebody
- 19:14Speaker 1: at Golden State. That is it gonna help? I don't know,
- 19:18Speaker 1: But let's beyond the Cleveland walked away slick on this deal.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Right here, they know they got the first I mean
- 19:27Speaker 1: you get Jay crowded, Isaiah Thomas and the first round
- 19:30Speaker 1: and because because Ziplock and soon we found out who
- 19:45Speaker 1: we're gonna have something to talk about. So now, um,
- 19:52Speaker 1: here's the other point I want to make about the
- 19:54Speaker 1: Kyrie Irving train because you have a lot of points.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Here's the point. Yeah, I feel for Kyle Read because
- 20:00Speaker 1: I understand that he wants to be the man. But
- 20:03Speaker 1: you got a lot of people in your ill talking
- 20:05Speaker 1: about Man, you the real star on that team. Man,
- 20:08Speaker 1: that all the credit God Lebron, you don't get none. Man,
- 20:11Speaker 1: y'all to go somewhere, your your option up. Man, y'all
- 20:14Speaker 1: demand to trade or you can go be the man
- 20:15Speaker 1: because you thank you. Everybody want to go be Russell
- 20:18Speaker 1: or Westbrook. But you can't be Russell rust Book because
- 20:21Speaker 1: number one, you ain't gonna do all what Russell doing
- 20:25Speaker 1: team work though, I mean Russell is the team yeah
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'm talking about But you can't win a championship with
- 20:32Speaker 1: one team. Yeah, why would you leave a team that's
- 20:37Speaker 1: been to the NBA Finals three years in a row
- 20:40Speaker 1: and now what's gonna happen to the Cavaliers. Another opinion
- 20:43Speaker 1: of mine Cleveland here's another opinion of mine. The Cavaliers
- 20:50Speaker 1: now have infused and injected new blood, new energy into this,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know, instead of that same team. It got a
- 20:58Speaker 1: little bit extra now, you know, man, and something can
- 21:02Speaker 1: go down, And I think the Cavaliers came out on
- 21:06Speaker 1: top on this. I think Lebron is happy on this deal. Yeah,

- 40:18Speaker 1: village's care of me is trembling yours. This is the
- 40:31Speaker 1: thumb you get bought into this. We'll be working one.
- 40:37Speaker 1: We're working working on Whitey, We'll be working on the Buie.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Co host on this show, Coop. This is a therapist,
- 40:45Speaker 1: not back. Oh my god, you're listening to show. All right,
- 40:58Speaker 1: here we are with Steve. You have some more you say, yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 1: this is uh, this is goes in Lying without thirty
- 41:06Speaker 1: something funny segment. Yeah, earlier today, but I've re named
- 41:09Speaker 1: it today. This is sugar hunting iced tea. That ain't
- 41:12Speaker 1: really that damn funny to me. And this time you
- 41:15Speaker 1: want to talk about Baccari Sellers something. Baccari Sellers said.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Baccari Sellers, in case you don't know as a CNN contributor,
- 41:22Speaker 1: he's a politician, he's an attorney. And he said something
- 41:26Speaker 1: a couple of nights ago after the president's speech or
- 41:29Speaker 1: after his rally, I should say, in Phoenix, Arizona. And
- 41:34Speaker 1: you kind of want to take him the task about
- 41:36Speaker 1: that hunt sty because he brought your name up, he
- 41:38Speaker 1: had your name in his mouth. Yeah. First of all,
- 41:40Speaker 1: I like Baccari Sellers, Oh I love it. I think
- 41:42Speaker 1: he does excellent work on CNN. He does. I've had
- 41:45Speaker 1: him on my talk show. The only problem I had
- 41:48Speaker 1: with Baccari sellers it's a comment he made about me
- 41:51Speaker 1: the other night on CNN, which is unfair. He said,
- 41:56Speaker 1: where are the Jim Browns, the Kanye West, the Steve Harvey's,
- 42:03Speaker 1: Why aren't they taking Donald Trump to task? Now? My
- 42:07Speaker 1: problem with what you're saying, brother, is because I went
- 42:10Speaker 1: up there under the request of the Obama transition team
- 42:15Speaker 1: and the Trump transition team. I was asked to come
- 42:18Speaker 1: up there. Now you're asking me to take him to
- 42:21Speaker 1: task for. What what you want me to do? You
- 42:25Speaker 1: the elected official, y'all take him to task. I didn't
- 42:30Speaker 1: vote for him. I pushed very hard to try to
- 42:33Speaker 1: get Hillary Clinton elected. Everybody heard before yea. So now,
- 42:38Speaker 1: so what I went up there? Yeah, And looking back
- 42:41Speaker 1: on it, I wish I had said, hey, y'all, I'm
- 42:43Speaker 1: going up there to see the president. But I didn't
- 42:46Speaker 1: know at the time that I would get that type
- 42:48Speaker 1: of backlash. But I did. I'm a man. I stood
- 42:51Speaker 1: up to it. But all of you jumping on the
- 42:53Speaker 1: bandwagon because it's trending and it sounds popular. Super car,
- 42:57Speaker 1: here's a deal. Do what you do, dog, but don't
- 43:00Speaker 1: take me to task. Why I got to take Donald
- 43:03Speaker 1: Trump to test health? Can't kids can't take him the task,
- 43:08Speaker 1: can't nobody. He got a wife, He got a wife
- 43:11Speaker 1: and some kids. He got a whole cabinet. Can't nobody
- 43:15Speaker 1: get him to do nothing? Why you want Steed to
- 43:17Speaker 1: come up? Down? I ain't no damn politician. You are
- 43:21Speaker 1: an elected official. If you take his ass to task,
- 43:24Speaker 1: I want to see you do it. Now. You're sitting
- 43:26Speaker 1: up on seeing every now and then talking about him.
- 43:29Speaker 1: But it's cool man, you can talk about him, bro,
- 43:32Speaker 1: But what you want me to do? What you want
- 43:34Speaker 1: see to do? What you want? Old ass? Jim Brown,
- 43:41Speaker 1: what was you doing when you heard your name? Come on? Look,
- 43:43Speaker 1: I'm sitting now. I was eating what you know what
- 43:51Speaker 1: Jim Brown? And done for the movement? Man? Dog, I'm
- 43:54Speaker 1: sixty years old. You know what I can? It just
- 43:57Speaker 1: throws me off. Man, Look, I'm sixty, partner. I haven't
- 44:02Speaker 1: done more than you fit to ever do for black folks.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that out loud, Baccari sellers, you ain't
- 44:09Speaker 1: done for black folk? What out? And you ain't put
- 44:12Speaker 1: the money behind black folk for what? Out? And down?
- 44:14Speaker 1: I promise you you have. So I'm just saying, man,
- 44:17Speaker 1: I like you and I'm still gonna I had you
- 44:19Speaker 1: on my talk show and I still have you on
- 44:21Speaker 1: my show. But be careful when you talk about another brother, man,
- 44:24Speaker 1: because I'm tired of people. See I wouldn't give a
- 44:28Speaker 1: damn about this if this was a blog what you
- 44:31Speaker 1: said it on See anything. And that's the very reason, Steve.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Do you understand he said your name on Seeing and
- 44:38Speaker 1: after the President's speech. That's how big you are. Okay,
- 44:42Speaker 1: that's how you have to look at that too. You
- 44:44Speaker 1: are major. You're a major force in the community in America,
- 44:48Speaker 1: even in politics because of you responsible for this man
- 44:52Speaker 1: speech is crazy and I get that, Steve, But I'm
- 44:59Speaker 1: just saying I got to do the fact that your
- 45:01Speaker 1: name was mentioned mentioned means you're big. You're big, right wait, okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: one time big, But just stop talking about me like this. Man,
- 45:14Speaker 1: I don't want to be responsible for taking the president
- 45:17Speaker 1: to ten. His kids can't do nothing with him. I
- 45:20Speaker 1: ain't got his nub what you the Senate can't do
- 45:24Speaker 1: nothing with it. The House, the rest of the Republicans can't.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Why are you bringing on Steve and Jim Brown? Name
- 45:30Speaker 1: what you wanted to old Black do nothing with him.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Comey can't do nothing with him. Listen to Sugar on
- 45:40Speaker 1: the ice team. I'm talking about. We'll be back with
- 45:45Speaker 1: the nephews. Frank phone call right after the you're listening
- 45:48Speaker 1: to the stow coming up at the top of the hour,
- 45:52Speaker 1: right about four minutes after today's Strawberry letter. But first, nephew,
- 45:57Speaker 1: it's time for today. It's a prank phone call. What
- 46:00Speaker 1: do you have? Your baby going back to pre k,
- 46:02Speaker 1: Your baby going back to your baby going back to
- 46:10Speaker 1: pre k. You have to do with that? Your baby
- 46:14Speaker 1: can't color y'all hold tight here, however, Yes, I'm timeing
- 46:23Speaker 1: to reach miss Thomas. Please, my name is mister Stapleton.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I'm actually the principal over at elementary school. You're I'm
- 46:32Speaker 1: looking at my records indicating that your son, Thomas is
- 46:35Speaker 1: going to be starting his first grade. Ready, right, listen,
- 46:40Speaker 1: miss Thomas. Um, I've been going through actually all of
- 46:43Speaker 1: the children's records that will be starting school, and I'm
- 46:47Speaker 1: looking at your son's grades from his kindergarten. Well, no,
- 46:54Speaker 1: not exactly. I mean there's been a few uh. I
- 46:57Speaker 1: actually spoke with the teacher who he was under in kindergarten,
- 47:01Speaker 1: and it seems like he just really wasn't up to
- 47:03Speaker 1: par as the rest of the children. M Now his conduct. Now,
- 47:08Speaker 1: he talked, but he gets his work. So what else
- 47:11Speaker 1: is she saying on that that ain't right? Well, what's
- 47:14Speaker 1: what it seems to be, ma'am, is that his grades
- 47:16Speaker 1: weren't up to par as the rest of the other children.
- 47:18Speaker 1: She did tell me he was a disobedient child. Now
- 47:21Speaker 1: he can disobedient and talking two different things. Come on, Okay, well, man, listen,
- 47:25Speaker 1: what we've decided here is we're gonna let a little
- 47:29Speaker 1: actually do another year of kindergarten. O. No, y'all ain't
- 47:32Speaker 1: gonna let him do another year of kindergarten. No, sir man,
- 47:36Speaker 1: that's that's the only choice I have. No. We got
- 47:40Speaker 1: our letter in the mail with our report card the
- 47:43Speaker 1: week after school started, and it said on the back promoted.
- 47:47Speaker 1: And if I got to get about this couch and
- 47:49Speaker 1: go get it, I'm gonna be because I'm telling you
- 47:53Speaker 1: right now we will be in the first grade. Kindergarten.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Weren't that hard. I'm not sure what they told you
- 47:59Speaker 1: about him, but it must be the wrong. Well, I
- 48:02Speaker 1: understanding he's he doesn't color as well as arrested kids.
- 48:05Speaker 1: He's all he's out of the lines when he color.
- 48:07Speaker 1: He doesn't know his numbers completely. And that's kind of
- 48:10Speaker 1: what we need when you first come into into the
- 48:14Speaker 1: first grade. When I can show you on this paper
- 48:16Speaker 1: he did satisfactory all the way through. Now you about
- 48:19Speaker 1: to me off and I'm already sick calling me with
- 48:22Speaker 1: some about my son blank and kinder garden. He ain't
- 48:26Speaker 1: that kind of does not color well. Man, Listen, color
- 48:29Speaker 1: ain't gonna do with the dad guard kindergarden. He is
- 48:32Speaker 1: going to the first grade, and I'll be down there
- 48:34Speaker 1: on August twenty four. No, I will not be able
- 48:36Speaker 1: to allow you to get in the school on August. Mister.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and let me get Let's tell you what.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Let me go in and get my pencil pen because
- 48:44Speaker 1: I don't live that far from this school. And if
- 48:46Speaker 1: y'all aren't read it down there causing some comfort, I
- 48:49Speaker 1: need to get up and go down there because I'm
- 48:50Speaker 1: not telling my baby when he come home to day
- 48:52Speaker 1: that he ain't going to the dad come first, man.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to
- 48:56Speaker 1: refuse education from him on August twenty. You know what,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I just went back. I can put him in public school.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I know that was a stake in the first place.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Food which I'm talking about some coloring. Give me your
- 49:06Speaker 1: name again, sir Stapleton man. And what's that number down there?
- 49:09Speaker 1: The number here is actually area code women. I got
- 49:13Speaker 1: the number. Now, mind, I pulled up this report card.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I got the number in your name on the back
- 49:17Speaker 1: of this paper. I'll tell you what, August two hundred
- 49:19Speaker 1: fourth will be coming in there, going to school, and
- 49:21Speaker 1: I might make a trip around that this evening when
- 49:23Speaker 1: I come from the document. The bottom line is, I'm
- 49:26Speaker 1: not going to hear that Colin ain't got nothing to
- 49:29Speaker 1: do with nothing else. But it's not only color. He's
- 49:32Speaker 1: a rhythm of tickets back. No, are you working with
- 49:35Speaker 1: him at home? Are you doing anything at home? Day?
- 49:39Speaker 1: What you're trying to say, I'm an incompetent parent. I'm
- 49:41Speaker 1: just asking, as a parent, are you working with your child?
- 49:43Speaker 1: I'm working with my child every day. He can read
- 49:45Speaker 1: better than you. Probably, No, he can't read. I can't
- 49:48Speaker 1: read better than you, because honestly, you read that role
- 49:51Speaker 1: on that paper that he's supposed to be going back
- 49:53Speaker 1: to kindergarten when I know the paper saying from it
- 49:56Speaker 1: going to the first grade. And I'm not listening to
- 49:58Speaker 1: no more this about him. I'm backwards now. If you
- 50:01Speaker 1: got a problem with your paper word, maybe you need
- 50:04Speaker 1: to go talk to your secretary of somebody in there
- 50:07Speaker 1: that wrote my baby name down, your name, your son's name,
- 50:10Speaker 1: Thomas Man. No, it ain't him, baby, I know it
- 50:13Speaker 1: ain't him. You're not gonna sit up and tell me
- 50:15Speaker 1: my son is flocking kindergarden. He is not going back
- 50:17Speaker 1: to that kindergarten. Don't bring your son down here, August,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I call you once, be ready to up me and
- 50:24Speaker 1: my husband, but we will be down there auer for backpack, shoes,
- 50:28Speaker 1: uniform everything you hear me, I will not be able
- 50:31Speaker 1: to allow him and education and that right now. I
- 50:33Speaker 1: will come down there right now and make that correction
- 50:35Speaker 1: on that paper for you can bring this baby is
- 50:38Speaker 1: not going back to no kindergarten for no coloring. Can
- 50:41Speaker 1: you bring him down him and let him color for me?
- 50:43Speaker 1: So I can't you tell my color in the rimon
- 50:45Speaker 1: taking out therselves? No, uh no, I'm sorry. Um. We
- 50:48Speaker 1: will be down there August to twenty four I would
- 50:51Speaker 1: have this poor card in my head that says you
- 50:54Speaker 1: have been promoted to the first boy that he gonna
- 50:56Speaker 1: have a mile on his face, and so are you?
- 50:58Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to tell are
- 51:00Speaker 1: you Are you listening to me? I'm listening. You ain't
- 51:02Speaker 1: saying nothing. Yeah, you better say something that sounds like
- 51:05Speaker 1: the first grade, because I'm not playing. I would go
- 51:07Speaker 1: down to this dag on the administrative office, and I
- 51:09Speaker 1: had because my son would be in that first grade.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Are you raising your voice? Who are you raising your voice?
- 51:16Speaker 1: You talking crazid to me? I'm cresident him what. I'm
- 51:19Speaker 1: a grown woman. I don't need to be as plain
- 51:21Speaker 1: to you. Why I'm trying to find did you graduate? Honey?
- 51:25Speaker 1: I am a college degree person. I have a great job.
- 51:29Speaker 1: My husband and I do well for ourselves and for
- 51:31Speaker 1: our children. And that's why we're not You're not even
- 51:33Speaker 1: You're not even at work right now? Man's I'm sat phone.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I told you that when you call him writing on
- 51:38Speaker 1: the doctor to call me now a partner missing my phone? Call?
- 51:41Speaker 1: Can you color? Because your son can't color? Got question
- 51:45Speaker 1: is that? Ask me? Can I color? Why are you
- 51:48Speaker 1: white and black? Y? Ask miss I dressed me. I'm
- 51:50Speaker 1: my color. No I ask you, can you color like
- 51:54Speaker 1: some racist lines and that can you color? No? I'm
- 51:58Speaker 1: my color and me being colored ain't nothing to do
- 52:00Speaker 1: with none of this. It's just a race thing. No,
- 52:03Speaker 1: I'm trying to make sure you send him back. No,
- 52:05Speaker 1: I'm not trying to send him back. I want to
- 52:06Speaker 1: send him back to color to get his coloring together.
- 52:09Speaker 1: You what that ain't got nothing to do with nothing?
- 52:11Speaker 1: And if you are the head person down there now,
- 52:14Speaker 1: you aren't competent and you aren't in a literate call
- 52:17Speaker 1: me and tell me that my son has to go
- 52:19Speaker 1: back to the first grad. I got one more thing.
- 52:21Speaker 1: You don't want you mixed up. I'll tell you what.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I'm through with this guy. Through with this guy. I'm
- 52:24Speaker 1: gonna say one more thing, and I'm gonna be out here.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Are you listening, I'm listening. That's his nephew, Tommy from
- 52:29Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got prank by
- 52:32Speaker 1: your girlfriend, Felicia. I'm gonna be Felicia's. I am gonna
- 52:39Speaker 1: beat hot. You're about to get told out the plant.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I mean, I'm right now and everything thing now, I'm
- 52:46Speaker 1: gonna everything I'm gonna beat her because you know I
- 52:49Speaker 1: don't play when it comes to back. That's all right,
- 52:53Speaker 1: all right, But one more question. Now, what is the
- 52:55Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land.
- 52:58Speaker 1: That's Steve Harvey. Baby? Did I do it right? Man? Man?
- 53:05Speaker 1: Did I Did I make a man enough? If I
- 53:06Speaker 1: don't want to know babies coloring? Coloring? No, I'm sick
- 53:13Speaker 1: right now. But if I got to come down now,
- 53:15Speaker 1: you're gonna have some problems. They're calling me about some
- 53:18Speaker 1: damn coloring. That's crazy, all right. I guess we didn't
- 53:25Speaker 1: win the powerball. Huh we all here? Yeah, because I
- 53:30Speaker 1: ain't if I win the power Ball, Yeah, I'm gonna
- 53:34Speaker 1: just come on him, man, and do so much custom
- 53:38Speaker 1: How did you see that something? El found that he
- 53:42Speaker 1: is profound? Let me say that you don't know, well, okay,
- 53:46Speaker 1: Tommy said he give us all ten melon give you forty.
- 53:49Speaker 1: I think because you were gonna help him, you know,
- 53:50Speaker 1: with the whole murder the death FETs, I mean, not
- 53:53Speaker 1: the murder, but the fake jets so he can get
- 53:55Speaker 1: away from his family. Crazy man, Now, you gotta stay
- 53:58Speaker 1: with your family. You didn't win understand that. But if
- 54:01Speaker 1: I would have won, I would have got shot right,
- 54:06Speaker 1: So you ain't on the next round. Why do you
- 54:09Speaker 1: guys love that so much? Because I hated Carlin. I
- 54:12Speaker 1: hated hate. He got the what he made to do,
- 54:17Speaker 1: and I can't explain this to her. Everything everything, No,
- 54:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna immediately the track phone all right, I'm going
- 54:29Speaker 1: immediately and getting me a track. I'm buy me just
- 54:32Speaker 1: about trac phones and use him as burning with a
- 54:37Speaker 1: flip phone. Yes, I'm loving a fact. When you hung
- 54:43Speaker 1: dog dog, I ain't gonna emil uh huh No social media,
- 54:54Speaker 1: all right, we gotta go. I show you a show.
- 54:58Speaker 1: President Trump still added to the whole type. We have
- 55:01Speaker 1: another strawberry letter on deck. We will be right back
- 55:03Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Coming up Today's crazy strawberry letter. You definitely don't want
- 55:11Speaker 1: to miss it. But our president again in the news,
- 55:14Speaker 1: back to his old ways. Did you see him in
- 55:16Speaker 1: Phoenix the other night. We've talked about this this morning. Somehow,
- 55:19Speaker 1: according to Bocar, sellers need to check him and Jim Brown,
- 55:26Speaker 1: we shore calling man. Let's call it in front of
- 55:33Speaker 1: the stadium full of supporters. He once again, this is
- 55:36Speaker 1: the president now, defended his response to the white supremacist
- 55:39Speaker 1: rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, attacked by the media Democrats and
- 55:44Speaker 1: encouraged to supporters to boo reporters, but then called for unity. Huh,
- 55:52Speaker 1: don't sound like him, y'all. He also and this was
- 55:55Speaker 1: the crazy thing. He also hinted that he plans to
- 55:58Speaker 1: pardon controversial Sheriff Joe Pio and once again promised to
- 56:02Speaker 1: crack down on illegal immigrants and build a wall on
- 56:05Speaker 1: the Mexican border. Was this America again? But that wall
- 56:13Speaker 1: was never getting built. No, yeah, it's not presidential. That's
- 56:18Speaker 1: you should be building bridges. Yeah, that's you know. But
- 56:22Speaker 1: you know what happens is the rally was really at
- 56:25Speaker 1: it a bad time. That's what the mayor said. Can't
- 56:29Speaker 1: you put this off? Because you know what, he had
- 56:32Speaker 1: a good a good speech for him the day before
- 56:37Speaker 1: about the troops in Afghanistan. It was because he read
- 56:40Speaker 1: directly from the teleprompters. Yeah, he was subdued, very low energy.
- 56:46Speaker 1: He gets in front of his base man, something happens
- 56:51Speaker 1: to this guy. Did not believed he should have took
- 57:00Speaker 1: the off the sign because it's just black, just him. Yeah,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and he had to sign. He was agreed with everything.
- 57:07Speaker 1: T These rallies are so contrasted, strategic. They keep then
- 57:11Speaker 1: they switch out signs, and all of them had the
- 57:14Speaker 1: same sign. Somebody down below slides on the siding and
- 57:17Speaker 1: the black dude didn't want no sign. He didn't wanted
- 57:18Speaker 1: his T shirt on that. You can't really trust a
- 57:22Speaker 1: black dude with opponent heil. But you can't tell me
- 57:26Speaker 1: that's not a paid gig. Definitely, that's one hundred dollars
- 57:29Speaker 1: dollar job. If you stand right here, we're gonna pay
- 57:31Speaker 1: you the whole side and looked ignorant. Oh no, no, no,
- 57:34Speaker 1: it ain't a hunt. Yea, no, not that much. Oh no,
- 57:37Speaker 1: no no, but I believe he was paid, but not
- 57:39Speaker 1: that much. I think it's that much. Hundred down and
- 57:47Speaker 1: be sitting at all the Trump every day red hat
- 57:52Speaker 1: on hell billy, he's changing to make America hate again
- 57:58Speaker 1: because you know he's not bringing in the country together
- 58:01Speaker 1: with what he's doing. He's not. They're real. Yeah, and
- 58:08Speaker 1: then your back door. Yeah, look at hand. I love Fox.
- 58:14Speaker 1: All right, nephew, come on, let's get to this letter.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Bug it up. Hold on, tight, We got it. The
- 58:19Speaker 1: strong letter. Why does it take such a long A letts?
- 58:24Speaker 1: This one's long, too real one, Let's get through it. Yeah,
- 58:27Speaker 1: it's a good one. Subject to albatross, Dear Stephen Shirley, albatross.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Albatross is a bird. You know that, but in this
- 58:37Speaker 1: one or another meaning. Another meaning is that it could
- 58:40Speaker 1: be like a burden to you, you know, something weighing
- 58:44Speaker 1: you down. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty two year
- 58:47Speaker 1: old black female living and working in New York City.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Many people consider me to be the model of a
- 58:52Speaker 1: young girl climbing her way to the top. But it
- 58:55Speaker 1: seems as though even I can't escape the conundrum called
- 58:59Speaker 1: the black male. She's smart, I mean, you know that
- 59:07Speaker 1: that's a riddle puzzle. Okay. Anyway, When I was nineteen,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I began to date a twenty five year old man
- 59:15Speaker 1: from Harlem. To me, he seemed to have a promising
- 59:17Speaker 1: future as a cartoonist. He was funny, he was caring,
- 59:20Speaker 1: and he accepted me in all my quirks. The problem
- 59:23Speaker 1: is my parents and my friends hate them. They dislike
- 59:26Speaker 1: the way that he dresses, which I can't admit. He
- 59:29Speaker 1: needs a wardrobe update. But just because someone does not
- 59:31Speaker 1: fly doesn't mean I can't see past that. My father
- 59:35Speaker 1: actually said that his appearance is disrespectful. I have told
- 59:38Speaker 1: him many times that my family is big on appearance,
- 59:41Speaker 1: and I've asked him to please dress appropriately when he
- 59:43Speaker 1: knows that he will be around my family. Recently, on
- 59:46Speaker 1: Thanksgiving and came to my grandmother's house for dinner. I
- 59:48Speaker 1: was appalled to see that he showed up in jeans
- 59:51Speaker 1: and a T shirt, a dingy T shirt at that
- 59:55Speaker 1: when I confronted him. When I confronted him about his ai,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he told me that it seems superficial to him that
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: a parents should count so much, and that even if
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: he were a millionaire, he would have worn the same
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: thing to prove a point. I wanted to scream, you
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: are twenty eight and you should use common sense to
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: realize that it is not about your point, It is
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: about appropriateness. My parents and my friends have been pressuring
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: me to break off my relationship with him because they
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: feel like he is not worthy of me, but I
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: have feelings for him now. Not since Thanksgiving have I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: been able to have a conversation with my parents about
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: this topic coming up, and after having it pounded into
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: my head. I feel like it is the right slash
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: logical thing to do, but my heart is telling me different.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Is there something that I am missing? Is there something
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: about this guy that my parents can tell by looking
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: at him that I can't see because I'm caught up? VJ.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Dear VJ. Okay, since we're making points, let me just
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: make this point. Your boyfriend really needs to learn how
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: to pick his battles. Okay. Like you say, he's twenty
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: eight now, which is way old enough to know that
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: you don't go to your girl's grandmother's house on Thanksgiving
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: and embarrass her in front of the whole family. You
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: just don't do that, you know, because you need to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: know you need to wear something appropriate. A DNGT. Come on,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I agree with your dad. It's disrespectful. He cares more
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: about making his point, your man, than he does about
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: making you happy. He is trying to make the case
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that your family only cares about what a person looks
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: like outside, And to that, I say, he couldn't be
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: more wrong. Your boyfriend needs to know that there are rules, there, requirements,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: you know, when he dates you. Okay, that's what your
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: family is upset about he just can't come in here
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: looking like, you know, just any old kind of way.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Mind you, your boy, if he's on a limited budget
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: and all that and he can't afford all that, then
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: that's a whole different thing. But you didn't say that,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: so we're not even going to go there. But because
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I don't think that's the case here, I think he's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: deliberately dressing this way out of spite. I understand you
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: have feelings for him, but please know that if he
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: really cared for you, he would care what you say,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: and he will want to make you happy and dress appropriately,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: especially in front of your family. Okay, that's what I
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: think you're missing in all of this. It's selfish and
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: it's inflexible on his part. Yes, yeah, Glory to God.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: That's right up there with conundrum boy. Oh it is
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: not say that word again. Inflexible. He's yeah, inflexible. He
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: wants to do it his way. He won't then word
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: it has never come out of me and Tommy mouth
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: that are Alba trolls. But he doesn't. Just know that
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: you deserve better. Okay, just know that, young lady flexible.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: All right, Steve will have part two of today's Strawberry
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Letter coming up at twenty three after the hour you're
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: listening to Harvey Morning Show, Don't Forget Today, That is
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: today at one thirty pm, you can join me for
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter after the show live on Facebook. You can
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: find me at my Girl Shirley or Shirley Strawberry. We're
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: gonna talk about today's letter. We'll talk about trending topics,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: we'll talk about we'll have a pick of the week,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: whatever you want to talk about. So join me today
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: one thirty pm Facebook Live for the Strawberry Letter Live
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: after the show. Thank you, Steve, how much your turn
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: for part two of this letter? Your response? God, let
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: me help you out. First of all, your boyfriend is
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: a man. He's twenty eight years old. Men are very
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: very simple for me to figure out, because I'll tell
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: you why. I have been one for a long time now,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and ladies, men are basically the same. We have very
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: very simple creatures to figure out. You put emotion in
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: with us, emotion in with us, and it causes you
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: unable to figure us out because you figure in your
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: emotional tie to this guy, and then it deadens yourself
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: senses of looking at what's really going on him. So
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: let me hip you to yourself. First of all, young lady,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you can't escape the conundrum called the black male. This
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: ain't the black mail. This is any kind of male.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: All men fit into the same category. Black, white, Puerto Rican, Latino, Mexican, Honduras, Ecuadorian, Perubian, whatever,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: We all the same. We ain't no conundrum. We ain't
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: none of that. If you would take an emot if
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you took the emotion out of this situation, you wouldn't
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: even be bothered with this dude no more. See, but
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you are making your decisions with this emotion involved. Your
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: parents are trying to tell you. First of all, he's
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: twenty eight now. You made him at twenty five, so
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: you've been kicking him with him for three years. This
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: food right here is about him. He's a cartoonist, he's funny.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: He's carrying all that your parents and friends hating because
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: they did dislike the way he is he addressing now.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Your father actually said that his parents his appearance is disrespectful.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Your father is one correct, because there are times when
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you can be disrespectful, coming to your grandmother's house in
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: a nasty T shirt and some jeans is disrespectful to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: you as a woman that he's representing as her man,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: as your grandparents coming in her house that way, your
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: mother and father, who got to sit here and deal
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: with this. Nobody else in your family came to Grandmama's
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: house dressed like this, except this fool that you didn't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: picked as a man. You didn't pick the worst kind
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: of man. You know why, because, young lady, what you've
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: picked now is a man that suffers from a lot
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: of things that men suffer from. It's called foolish pride.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: And your man is fool or foolish pride. Because this
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: stupid dude right here is trying to tell you you
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: are Paul. When he came to your grandmama's house, he
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: told you that when you confronted about him, he said
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: that it seems superficial to him that a parentship count
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: so much, and that even if he were a millionaire,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: he would have worn the same thing to prove a point.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: He just a damn lie. He is just a damn lie.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: He'll never have a million. The moment you become a
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: millionaire and you black, it will reflect in every aspect
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: that you get a chance to let it shine. I'm
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: telling you you don't do that. You don't do that
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: when you pluke. Hello, I said correctly that are broke
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: black people that know how to come to dinner. So
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing to do, no millionaire. See, he
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: don't want to let it go cause a foolish pride.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: See you want to scream at him that you twenty eight.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: You should use common sense that it's not about your
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: point is about appropriateness. No, it ain't about his point,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: young lady. It's about him and nobody else. It ain't
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: about you. And when a man cares about you or
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: loves you, he will do some things that he's uncomfortable
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: doing just to make you happy. That's right. But see
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: he ain't about nobody. But it some he can't even
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: for a moment saying, you know, man, this will make
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: my girl happy if I dress better, let me just
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: go buff up for my girl. But he ain't willing
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: to do that because he is about himself. All right,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: thank you, Steve, but we gotta go email or Instagram.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at my girl Shirley.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Okay and join me once again today at one thirty
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: pm on Facebook for Strawberry Live after a show. All right,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Steve she is here, introduced our girl Sheryl Underwood, Boys
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: and Girls Troopers, girl Scouts and boy Scouts. Everybody put
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: your hands together for sure. The world save you, my friend.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: I love you and I'm glad that you out there
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: doing Thanks you everywhere. And you've got the tropical storm
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: named that for you. What you're doing it? What are Yeah?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: This is Harvey. Here are chrome tearing up everything? Hey, ladies,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: if you want to find a man, go to Owen's Mills, Maryland. Uh.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: It's a barber shop called Dapper Naps, cuts and coils.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Every fine man in the nation was in Owen Mills,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: So get there as fast as you can. I'm on
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: my way to Tampa for the Tampa Improv. Courtney Black
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: and Kyle Irby. We're stepping in from Mike Watson. He's
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: not feeling well. Hey, Uh, Tommy, Steve Junior, did you
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: hold that Dick Gregory talked about my kin folk in
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: one of his books. Hey, use speaking of shout outs.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: When when y'all come to the Tampa Improv, I'll be
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: talking about ri Kelly Usher's Bill Cosby. We're gonna talk
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: about everybody. We're gonna shout out the Cluness. We shouting
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: out the Cluness for giving one million dollars to the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Southern Party Law Center to fight racism. That's what I'm
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: talking about. But don't forget to donate to the end
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of LACP. We out there fighting racism too. Now we
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: all gonna get together help capping. They get a job.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: But big up to all the white players that are
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: joining with the blacks, but coming together at last, but
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: not least time for the Mayweather fight. Let me tell
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: you how close to the fight game I am. See
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: back in the day, I was in the center of
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the fight. It was the fight of the century, that's right.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: And when I lost the fight of the century, I
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: had to go to super fight too. Then I went
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: on to the people came up to me and said
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: saying the same. I started to sell grills. They said,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I have asked you all right, Cheryl, thank you so much.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Gonna hit a griller's grilla right there. Thank you, Cheryl.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: We love you, you know we do. Coming up, coming
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: up Steve's thoughts on Kyrie Irving. We'll be right back.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Morning Show in case you missed it earlier.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: This morning, we talked about Kyrie Irving the Big Trade
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and Steve had his thoughts on that, and we'll replay
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: it right now. You're a little shook. Yeah, he's still
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: going through. You know, he loves Cleveland. Yes, here it is.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Check it out, ladies and gentlemen. This is a new
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: segment that I created just for today. Oh, this is
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: because of the Kyrie Irving tree Man. So instead of
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: thirty something funny, this is sugar honey iced tea that
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: ain't funny. This is the sugar honey iced tea segment
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: that ain't funny. Let's go from Cleveland. Darrie Irvin was
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: traded to the Boston Celtics, but Isaiah Thomas, Yeah, and
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Jay crowder Man got a first round. Yeah, first round, Brooklyn,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: don't worry about I don't worry about that. Then we
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: just throw another body. I ain't say we got him
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: because I don't even know. Zizi Ac played on the
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Israeli Chick and just got out and he's actually an
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: immigrant from Part unknown. We had no idea who he
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: what he do? He don't even know if he never spold,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: but he sounded like he beats you mean scored. Yeah, okay,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: what what what I think? I'm just clarifying what? No,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what did you think I'm talking about? Let's just say
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: my basketball. I don't know if he gaveraging two points.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I don't know if he didn't hear the basket point.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: He sound like he's slowed. He sounds slow. Zizac. Don't
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: sound like who you know? Zizac? Sound like he got
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: his name, ain't zig Zac. And you reverse that, he
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: act like he goes zigzag. So what you think you
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: think that's good? Well, here's the problem with the trade.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: First of all, Boston did win the East right last
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: year because of that point guard, because of Isaiah. Isaiah
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: was the man on that team. When it got down
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to the playoffs, they doubled Isaiah because they didn't have
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: another star score. So now Kyrie's Irvan's wish to be
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: on the team and be the man has come true.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: He is going to be the man in Boston. But
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: the problem with this is Kyrie will not be as
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: good in Boston as he was in Cleveland because the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: all of the emphasis goes to Lebron. Where is he
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: on the floor, What is he doing, and it made
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Kyrie a better player. Now Kyrie is a great basketball
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: but going to Boston, the same thing gonna happen to
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: him that happened to Isaiah when they got to the playoffs.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: They're gonna double him up because he doesn't have another
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: star player on the team. So now you're gonna be
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the man. But now the first game of the new
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: season is Boston versus Calms, And why you have a
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: new problem. Kyrie got his wish to be traded. Isaiah
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: didn't want to be traded Boston. After this kid plays,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: after his sister passes, puts his hard and soul on
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: the line in Boston, and then they trade him. You
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: have now sent a player to your rival who has
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: an attitude, a chip on his shoulder. So now you
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: traded me and no man when I didn't want to
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: be traded, and you send me to the Cavaliers, who
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: is our arrival. And now we're gonna face y'all to
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: see who we're in the east. That guy gonna be
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: playing with another piece of information. And now he's playing
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: with the greatest player on the planet, Lebron. Jake hasn't
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Lebron like open with open arms, welcomed him in CA,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: which is a good thing. They could not have made
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: that trade without talking to Lebron. That's the only way
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: that trade could happen. You gotta go to your star
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: and go, hey, man, we're gonna give up Kyrie, but
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: we're gonna bring in Isaiah. Can you play with Isaiah? Oh?
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: He won't And they get crowded. Who is an animal defense?
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: So now we got some mold people that can check
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: somebody at Golden State. That is it gonna help? I
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: don't know, but let's beyond the Cleveland walked away slick
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: on this deal. Right here, they know they got first.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I mean, you get Jay, crowded Isaiah Thomas and the
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: first round and because because he was zip block, and
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: soon we found out who we're gonna have something to
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: talk about now. I'm here's the other point I want
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: to make about the Kyrie Irban trade because you have
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: a lot of points. Here's the other point. Yeah, I
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: feel for Kyrie because I understand that he wants to
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: be the man, But you got a lot of people
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: in your ear talking about man, you the real style
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: on that team. Man? That all the credit. God, Lebron,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: you don't get none. Man, y'all to go somewhere. Your
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: your option up. Man, y'all demand a trade so you
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: can go be the man because you thank you. Everybody
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: want to go be Russell or Westbrook. But you can't
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: be Russell first book, because number one, you ain't gonna
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: do all what Russell doing. Team works though, I mean
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Russell is the team, yeah I'm talking about but you
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: can't win a championship or one team. Yeah, why would
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: you leave a team that's been to the NBA Finals
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: three years in a row? Absolutely? And now what's gonna
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: happen to the Cavaliers? Another opinion of mine. Here's another
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: opinion of mine. The Cavaliers now have infused and injected
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: new blood, new energy into the you know, instead of
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: that same team. It got a little bit extra now,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: you know, man, and something can go down. And I
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: think the Cavaliers came out on top on this. I
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: think Lebron is happy on this deal. Yeah, I think
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: that Kyrie is happy on this zip zip block. Anybody
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: mention his name, but I bet you his hair got
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a cow lick in the front. Zip zips his name.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Listen to me. You gotta do is putty in z
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: NBA play. How many you think coming up? Him? Zuz
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: old man with black folk's names. That's your name, Ziplock
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: about Ziplock? It turned you're listening to Steven show. All right, Steve,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: it's time for our health and Wellness segment. Look at you,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: I see you over there. Of course we're trying to
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: get in shape. We really are. And our special guest
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: is your trainer. His name is Obi ob dk who
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: you got it right? Right? What do you call him? Obie? Right?
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: You got to hear the guard at the gage, sir,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: we have a to get killed all the time growing
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: up in school. So I heard that Obi one. You
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: always get that person that says, have you ever heard
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: of Obi wan Kenobi? No, you're a genius as the
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: first time I've ever heard that all the time, all
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: the time. So welcome to the show. Thank you so
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: much on the show. What we're doing here is a
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: fun way to encourage people, especially in the baby booming
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: generation and everybody, to get up, start moving, get yourself together,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: take care of yourself. How to avoid rust, how to
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: lose weight the right way, how it can be done
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: and done without high impact. Because a lot of people
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: don't like a lot of videos because there's high impact.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: So I've been working with this guy. We are entering
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: week what this is week four? This is week four.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is He's a killer. He's a killer. The
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: man has lost eight pounds in three weeks. And what
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I love about Steve working with him is that he
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: wants it so bad. He's like Kobe Bryant. I remember
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: when Michael when a Madrashad was saying who is better
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Kobe or Lebron and Michael Jordan went with Kobe because
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: of the will. He wants it so bad, and Steve
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: wants it so bad. So a lot of times I
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: gotta save himself from himself. Well I want fat. He
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: ain't saying. I was like, it's the will, It's the
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: will to win it. It's the desire to win, the
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: desire to succeed. When I'm giving him a workout and
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I'm saying, yo, Steve, Okay, we're gonna do a plank
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: for thirty seconds, Steve's gonna end up doing it for
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: forty forty five and I'm like, Steve, the set is done,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: but he's still going. But I want to get this
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: fat off my ass. That's good. I want to back
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: up just for a second and find out how you
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: guys met. How'd you find it? Well, on my talk show,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I had Morris Chestnut came on as a guest and
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: he was promoting this book called The Cut. Well, the
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: guy on the the cover of the book is Obie
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: and they first Morris Chester that came out. Then on
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: the second season he bought his trainer. You couldn't help that.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: What's uptime? You don't have to shout out when you
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: gasped like that. No, there wasn't no gas. Yeah, So
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Morris came out, he said and talked, he got in
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: great shape shoot this movie. And then he bought his
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: train out and his trainer walked out and he had
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: a six pack under that show through his shirt through
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: the actually painted abs. By the way, that's not really
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I don't know how much you can a paint cast.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: So anyway, I sat there and I met him, and
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: so we started talking. So I told him, you know,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: after the season was over, when I was gonna move
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to la and then everything yell, yeah, this is yeah,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: this is for the baby. Anyway, you know, I just said,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: when I come back from my vacation and I moved
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: to La. I like to contact you, and I did,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: and I came back off to the boat, off the boat,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: and I spend a week doing my last you know, Hurrah.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I came off the boat away two forty four. So
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: I'm down to two thirty six because i lost three
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: pounds first week, two pounds a second week, three pounds
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: a third week. And I'm doing it the right way.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: It isn't waterway, that's real fat. How many days a
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: week Steve right now is training four days a week
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and where because he has a limited amount of time,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: he has about an hour a day to train, So
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: we do thirty minutes of high intensity weight training the
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: thirty minutes of high intensity cardio. And so people have
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: to understand is that when you're doing high intensity weight training,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: what that does It allows you to burn calories after
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: the workout when you're resting. When he's resting, he's burning calorie.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: So you're burning calorie. Run I'm slimming right now. Okay.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: So so so let me ask you this here. If
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: you can call me open, one can know because everyone
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: else does. I didn't know it was ok So let
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: me ask you this man, give me a tell me
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: what thirty when you say intense thirty minutes of the
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: weight training, just give me an example. Well, let me
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: say this because Tommy's the runner on our show. Okay, okay,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: he likes to run. It's crazy. Thirty minutes depends on
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: who you are of intensity, everybody's intensity. Go ahead. So basically,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: in a Nut show, let's say, for example, like today
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: we did shoulders and back, So I'll have Steve do
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: one set of standing shoulder dumbell press, one set of
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: standing standing dumbbell road. So we're going back and forth.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Just see shoulders and back, back and forth. So he'll
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: do shoulders and then he'll go back to back. Then
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: he'll do shoulders and back to back, and he'll do
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: like three to four sets with each body part, NonStop,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: non stop. Sometimes sometimes he does rest sometimes when he's
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I would say, like after the first set of shoulders
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: and back, he might rest about twenty five to thirty seconds.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: But what's amazing is that we're in week four and
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: his endurance is no joke. I mean, it's increased dramatically.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: So is he gonna look like Morris Chestnut when he's done? Hey,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: let me tell you something. What? Let me tell you something.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: I guarantee. I'm gonna make a guarantee right now. I
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: guarantee you that his stomach is gonna be super flat
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: by the end of this year. I guarantee, guarantee, by
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: the end of this year, he's gonna have a super
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: flat stomach. Look at look at me. Let me tell
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: you some oldest. Let me tell you something. Steven tell
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: you his nephew was stupid, right you. Let me tell
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you something. I'm committed to this. I'm gonna get it
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: done so I can show everybody out there that's sixty
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: that you can do it too. I do low impact.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: The high intensity I do is because I work hard. Anyway.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I hear your voice. I see Morris Chestnut, though I'm
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: just saying, okay, well as look, I hear your voice.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I see. We'll be back. We'll be back with Omar.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: You're listening to show all right. Here we are with Obie,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Steve's trainer, and Steve Harvey. All right now, listen. This
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: is to encourage people to get involved, to start moving.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: High intensity for me, maybe high intensity for a different person.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: It's different. You know, it doesn't matter as long as
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you operate on the scale of one to ten. If
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: you're putting out a five effort, you're doing good enough
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: to lose weight. Is that absolutely? You have People need
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: to understand living a sedentary lifestyle. Research has shown it's
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: equivalent to smoking. To smoking, So I'm serious, you have
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: to move. If you just get up and move, do
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: you know how do you know how much influential that
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: is to your health? So just getting up and move,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: if you're sitting ten to twelve hours a day, that
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: is totally it's negative, negatively impactful to your health. If
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you want to live a long life, you gotta move.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: What about diet? Have we talked about diet and nutrition? Absolutely,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: when nutrition is sixty to seventy percent of the battle.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: And so what we're doing with Steve is that it's
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: we're going through more balanced approach where we're having the fruits,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: the veggies, the fish, the chicken, the beef, the steak,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the complex carbs, the sweet potatoes, the brown rice, the
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: healthy fats, the avocados. And he has the ability to
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: indulge with the pizza sometimes sometimes he might have a
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: fish taco. So indulging is important. I would say about
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I would say ten to twenty ten to twenty percent
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: of the time indulging. So you're cheating eighty I'm sorry,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: you're eating healthy eighty percent of time and you're cheating
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: indulging twenty percent of time. How late do you eat when?
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: What's your cut all time and night? Okay, now we're
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: gonna debunk this smith right now. Okay, we're gonna debunk
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: this smith. Everybody thinks that if you eat after seven
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: o'clock you're gonna gain weight. That's a bunch of bs. Okay,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. It is about the amount of calories
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: you consume. So let's just say, for example, you had
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: two meals within the day and your third meal was
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: after ten pm. It's okay as long as you're within
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: your moderate caloric range. So it doesn't matter the time
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: of the day. Let me tell you, go ahead, I
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: eat my last meal late at night, or you get
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: home then I get home late. Well, what is your
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: last meal? So my last meal last night was I
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: had real by steak, brown rice, and I had some
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: some sturf fry vegetables. That's what I had last night.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: So I had a steak, some brown rice, and some
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: sturf fried vegetables. Now, if you have a baked potato
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: all the way, they'd have been wrong, right. No, no, No,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: he's had, he's had, he's had carbs with every single
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: mel and he's still losing weight. Look, man, because what
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I learned was carbs is not the enemy. It's how
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: much of it you eat and the type of cars. Now,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: if you're gonna eat a doughnut from Crispy Kreme, six
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: in them, I'm sorry papath to blow up. Yeah. Man,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: Come at the end of the day, rude number one,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I've learned you cannot outtrain a bad dike yet. But
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: there are a lot of really delicious foods that you
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: can eat that would just allow you to lose weight.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: If you eat the right foods. You just gotta give
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: up some of the bad stuff so you can live.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: I'd rather live absolutely healthy. Yeah, and you'd be surprised
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: when you have so many different options to eat where
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: it doesn't even feel like you're eating health anymore. Yeah. Hey,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: we're gonna have obion, you know, every now and then
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: to come on the show and help people get started.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you my weight loss, I'm gonna show
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: you some of my workouts, and I'm gonna show you
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: the meals that I'm meeting. I just want to encourage
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: everybody getting in shape. Obi will be with us next
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: time for Let me right back. Steve Harvey Martin Show.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's all
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: about the Graham these days. You guys, hear about this
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: story the wife of Treasury secretary, the new wife. I
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: should say they've just got married earlier this year, Steve Manuchin.
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: He's a Treasury secretary. His wife. She has apologized for
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: her inappropriate and highly in sensitive comments on social media.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Her name is Louise Lynton. She posted a picture of
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: herself on Instagram that showed her with her husband now
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: walking off a government plane and flaunting her wealth as
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: she added hashtags for each designer article of her outfit.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: You saw that, okay. She was heavily criticized on social media,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: especially by one woman who wrote, glad we could pay
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: for your little getaway hashtag deplorable now missus Linton fired
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: back with a lengthy post in which she attacked the
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: woman and boasted about her wealth. She then changed her
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Instagram Yeah. After some people got to her. She changed
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: her Instagram account to private so that the woman couldn't respond.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: Lynton is a thirty six year old actress who married
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Manuchin earlier this summer. Has issued an apology through her publicist, saying,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: I apologize for my post on social media yesterday as
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: well as my response. It was inappropriate and highly insensitive. Yes,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: it was because she was like flaunting good. Now, don't
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: get me wrong, she looks. Yeah, she looks really good.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: But come on now, you gotta be mindful of that
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: when you marry, you know, politicians and public figures and stuff.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: You know, you gotta be mindful of the people who vote. Again,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: she looked good. No, no shade or anything like that.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: But I'm throwing shade. But you know, but you can't
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: say nothing about yourself, no, mo man. You can't say
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: getting off a government plane you nah, that was smart.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: It wasn't if you're getting off your plane, yes, do you?
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: And what are you responding for? I mean, just let
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: it go. Yeah, you know you're responding to citizens who
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: pay tax Yeah, different stuff like that. Yeah, but the
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: clapback is different. Yeah. Yeah, you're rich, Mitch, think you
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: talk to whe the hell I want to wear? Yeah? Exactly. Basically,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: it's real, he could not say that. I mean, and
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: in the situations I mean, Steve, you and Marjorie always
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: fly all over the world. But that's quite different than
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: you know, of the wife of a public figure, politician
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: and all of that, you know what I mean. And
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: we like to see that we do, like, yeah, we do.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: I'm not benefiting from any government funding. Exactly, you're not
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: in a government. You're not doing it as exactly clearly
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: they ain't and they ain't sending nothing to the house.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: And I go to work and hard don't. I don't
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: know what else I should do. Yeah, you know, but
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: I don't care why you do it, you know, Margine
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: and I will post something because she's into social media,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: because she's building her brand, because she's working on her business,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: and she's coming out with the new business this year.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: Hey man, you know, so I'm we take a picture
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: of us. It's gonna look like it's stunting. All right,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: We'll be back, coming back with just one more thing,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: talking about Samuel L. Jackson and Magic Johnson. You're listening
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: to the stew all, right, Steve, A couple of your
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: rich friends, a couple of friends to the show, and
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: family members to the show. We love them. We're talking
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: about one Magic Johnson and Samuel L. Jack. Everywhere they
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: were mistaken for some lazy migrants. What. Yeah. The two
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: are currently enjoying an Italian vacation with their wives, Cookie
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: and of course Latania, respectively. Cookie Johnson Latania Richardson. They're
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: celebrating Magic's fifty eighth birthday and Sam's, and they're also
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: celebrating Sam's wedding anniversary. Magic even posted a photo a
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: picture of him and Sam chilling after Louis Vatan and
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Prada shopping spree. Oh nice. The photo went viral on
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: Twitter after one user made a meme an Italian that
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: translated to bowl Drini's resources in for today Marmie's shop
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: at Prada with our thirty five euros. Share this picture
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: if you are outraged. Okay, so I don't know what
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: that means exactly. Let me find out. This was on
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: This was on Magic's Instagram. He posted a picture of
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: him and he posted a picture of Sam. They're just chilling,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you know, doing a shopping spree. So then it went
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: viral and uh a Twitter user, yeah he was Italian.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: He posts, whatever this means Buldrini's resources in for today
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: Marmi's shop at Prada with our thirty five euros. Share
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: this picture if you're outraged. Several Italians share the memes,
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: showing their disgust over Italy's migration immigration laws for refugees.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: So they thought that Sam, Yeah, they thought that Sam
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: and Magic, I guess we're some Italian immigrants were over
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: They don't look Italian at all at all. Okay, let
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: me tell you some refugees. Okay. Yeah, as a matter
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: of fact, wherever you thinking about them? Right there, they
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: could really buy your way somewhere because you message with
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: casts right there. I'm looking at this picture. Yeah. Eventually,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: the man who shared the meme apologized because he knew
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: they were celebrities since he'd lived in the US. So, yeah,
