Survey shows overwhelming support for Stratos referendum
A recent survey of 515 registered Box Elder County voters found that 71% of those polled opposed the proposed Stratos data center project, compared to 23% in support of it. The survey, commissioned by Stewardship Utah and conducted in partnership with the Box Elder Accountability Referendum (B.E.A.R.) campaign, showed that respondents found issues related to water and agriculture, tax breaks and incentives, and the decision-making process were “very convincing” or “somewhat convincing” reasons to support efforts to place a referendum about the project on the ballot for voters to decide.
