- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like the milling bus things and it's not
- 0:19Speaker 1: doing me good. Steve Hartley, I don't joy. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out to turn turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, aha, I said, ah, I
- 2:04Speaker 1: show will, Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:09Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 1: got the radio show. I feel it's necessary to explain
- 2:16Speaker 1: what I say in the morning because somebody asked me,
- 2:18Speaker 1: what do you mean by that when you say that
- 2:20Speaker 1: in the morning. When I say huh, it's in response
- 2:25Speaker 1: to David Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead,
- 2:29Speaker 1: big Daddy, go ahead, I said, uh huh. I show will.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Then I say good morning everybody. Because I was raised
- 2:37Speaker 1: at Ray, You're supposed to speak when you come in
- 2:39Speaker 1: the room. I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your
- 2:42Speaker 1: bad room, the room in your house, your car, your office,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, wherever you at. I come in the room,
- 2:48Speaker 1: or God speaks, I say good morning, everybody. You are
- 2:52Speaker 1: listening to the voice. And then I got to introduce
- 2:55Speaker 1: myself because as a performer, I always felt my best
- 2:59Speaker 1: when I was in introduced. It's knowing. Why would you
- 3:02Speaker 1: walk out on stage anybody introduce you? You know you
- 3:04Speaker 1: can't get the round of applause. It's just it's horrible.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So I say, you are listening to the voice want
- 3:10Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now
- 3:14Speaker 1: that's old school. I got that, but that's I was
- 3:17Speaker 1: once again, dig me now? Is I want you to
- 3:20Speaker 1: feel what I'm about to say. That's all I'm saying.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's not a bragging thing. You know, you're listening to
- 3:28Speaker 1: the voice wanting only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to feel what I'm saying in
- 3:34Speaker 1: the morning, because it's part of a promise that I
- 3:37Speaker 1: made to God. See a long time ago, I told
- 3:40Speaker 1: God if he allowed me to make it, that when
- 3:43Speaker 1: I got there, I would tell everybody I know how
- 3:46Speaker 1: I did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or
- 3:49Speaker 1: shade him on it. I say, if you allow me
- 3:52Speaker 1: to make it, if you give me the strength, the courage,
- 3:56Speaker 1: the wisdom, you gave me a gift if you let
- 3:59Speaker 1: me apply by it, don't destroy myself in the process.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Forgive me for my sins along the way, continue to
- 4:07Speaker 1: hold and rock me when I need it. When I
- 4:10Speaker 1: make it, I promise you Lord, when I get there,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I will tell everybody how I made it. Well. This
- 4:18Speaker 1: started back in LA when I got on the radio
- 4:23Speaker 1: and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:27Speaker 1: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:30Speaker 1: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:33Speaker 1: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:37Speaker 1: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 1: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:45Speaker 1: to fulfill my promise, because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:48Speaker 1: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:52Speaker 1: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:55Speaker 1: I had show walked away from him. See, and I
- 4:59Speaker 1: didn't walk awa from him once. I walked away from
- 5:02Speaker 1: him a bunch of times. But guess what he forgave
- 5:06Speaker 1: me a bunch of times. I'm a living example of
- 5:10Speaker 1: hundreds of chances. His forgiveness and his mercy is available
- 5:17Speaker 1: for everybody. It's the only reason I get on this
- 5:21Speaker 1: show every day. The only reason I have the blessings
- 5:23Speaker 1: that's coming my way. It's the only way that the
- 5:26Speaker 1: things that keep happening in my life, man, that I
- 5:29Speaker 1: have no explanation for, it is because of His grace
- 5:33Speaker 1: and mercy. See, anytime something good happens in my life
- 5:38Speaker 1: and I can't explain it, that's usually him, he exhibits
- 5:42Speaker 1: to me. Remember, I'm a forgiving god, man. Remember, So
- 5:47Speaker 1: when you fall, Steve, don't lay down now, don't you
- 5:50Speaker 1: lay down there. Don't you let the devil fool you
- 5:53Speaker 1: that because you'd have made some mistakes that you ain't
- 5:56Speaker 1: that you can't do it because everybody gonna make them
- 5:59Speaker 1: now as none perfect, no, not once. So get up,
- 6:03Speaker 1: keep moving, keep pushing, step on what you're laying there for.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Your daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man, my
- 6:12Speaker 1: father was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you.
- 6:14Speaker 1: My daddy never had a conversation with me about church.
- 6:18Speaker 1: He beat me for not going, but you know a
- 6:21Speaker 1: couple of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:27Speaker 1: being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving your life,
- 6:30Speaker 1: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:33Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher, so I got all of that from her.
- 6:36Speaker 1: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:39Speaker 1: My old man talked to me about one thing all
- 6:41Speaker 1: day long, hard working manhood, and when you're gonna get
- 6:44Speaker 1: that if you don't get nothing else from me, he
- 6:46Speaker 1: gave that to me, so I got it. See, so,
- 6:50Speaker 1: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:52Speaker 1: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You ain't an what you're finn to do. You fin
- 6:56Speaker 1: to get up and go do what you're posted to do. Now,
- 6:58Speaker 1: stop all that wine and some little punking gonna get
- 7:01Speaker 1: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. Now,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I'm just telling you real. It worked for me though,
- 7:05Speaker 1: And before you start emailing me, they had nothing to
- 7:08Speaker 1: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:12Speaker 1: turn for a man, not acting like a man. That's
- 7:15Speaker 1: all it was. It had. It was not a gay
- 7:17Speaker 1: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:19Speaker 1: you start emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That
- 7:23Speaker 1: was not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:25Speaker 1: to us. That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:27Speaker 1: it meant. He couldn't admit. No, hedn't even know nothing
- 7:29Speaker 1: about that. My man clueless when it comes to that
- 7:32Speaker 1: right there. So when I was getting down and feeling
- 7:36Speaker 1: bad about myself, my old man, he taught me this toughness. Man,
- 7:40Speaker 1: he gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go to
- 7:43Speaker 1: work and work hard. That's why today, when God does
- 7:46Speaker 1: bless me with something, he ain't got to wear about
- 7:49Speaker 1: me not working hard because that's in me. And when
- 7:54Speaker 1: I get tired, I asked that same God for strength
- 7:57Speaker 1: to keep on doing so I can do the blessings
- 8:00Speaker 1: he got for me. So when you ask me how
- 8:03Speaker 1: you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I don't know.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I ain't got to figure that out. All I got
- 8:09Speaker 1: to do is show up with the same amount of
- 8:11Speaker 1: faith for being showing up with God handle the rest
- 8:13Speaker 1: of it. See y'all, hey man, let me tell yourself.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I don't see how you do it. I don't either,
- 8:20Speaker 1: can I can I get hey man, news flash? Let
- 8:22Speaker 1: me hear. I don't see how you're doing all that, Steve.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You're doing this, You doing that you can. I tell
- 8:27Speaker 1: you something I don't either. I just wake up with
- 8:29Speaker 1: the faith man and trusting that if He gonna bless
- 8:32Speaker 1: me with it, he must be gonna show me a
- 8:34Speaker 1: way how to get it done. See I ain't tripping
- 8:37Speaker 1: on that part. See I. Once you take yourself out
- 8:40Speaker 1: to how to business, you can go on and get
- 8:42Speaker 1: with it. But see, if you're gonna trip yourself out
- 8:45Speaker 1: with the how to, you can't think like God can think.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You can't figure like God can figure. So now you're
- 8:50Speaker 1: sitting up in here gonna Lord, I want this to
- 8:52Speaker 1: have him for me? Then I don't know how I'm
- 8:55Speaker 1: will do all that. Well, guess what you and the way? Now?
- 8:59Speaker 1: See you? Now you in the way because see God
- 9:01Speaker 1: ain't ask you to figure out how to? He said,
- 9:04Speaker 1: ask and believe. Then he said faith without works is dead.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's my solution. That's the concoction that I'm functioning on.
- 9:15Speaker 1: All I got to do is accept the blessing, keep
- 9:18Speaker 1: the faith, be willing to work and believe God can
- 9:23Speaker 1: do anything but fail. Why would God bring me this
- 9:27Speaker 1: far to leave me? Why would he bring you this
- 9:31Speaker 1: far to leave you? So? Why I get up every
- 9:36Speaker 1: morning I have no choice. I got to get up
- 9:40Speaker 1: in here the rap. When I'm running late, man, I
- 9:42Speaker 1: try to ply through here. Sometimes I don't make it. Man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I gotta do a rerun. But I ply through here
- 9:46Speaker 1: because man, Steve, you're gonna run out of something to say. No,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna just keep thanking him. Now. You can't run
- 9:51Speaker 1: out of that, can you, because you owe him that?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Matter of fact? When I get through talking, I really
- 9:56Speaker 1: ain't thanked him enough. Morning Show, All right, everybody, it

- 14:07Speaker 1: all I gotta say. Go ahead, share it here you go.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh this is an interesting name. La Crystal like that
- 14:20Speaker 1: in Montgomery. La Crystal says, my stepfather is a hot
- 14:23Speaker 1: mess and he's got women all over the city and
- 14:26Speaker 1: my mother doesn't know it. Mama is a sweet Christian
- 14:30Speaker 1: woman that feeds the hungry and takes care of drug
- 14:32Speaker 1: addicts that are trying to get clean. That's how she
- 14:36Speaker 1: met my stepdad. He's been clean for seven years, and
- 14:39Speaker 1: she helped him build his self esteem and got his
- 14:42Speaker 1: teeth fixed. Now he thinks he's a castanova. I don't
- 14:46Speaker 1: want my mama to get hurt. So should I confront
- 14:49Speaker 1: this fool? No? Not at all? And what and what
- 14:52Speaker 1: do you expect a man to do with a brand
- 14:55Speaker 1: new set of teeth? Really? Forget his ma to get what?
- 15:00Speaker 1: What the grinning in folks face? I mean, there's nothing
- 15:05Speaker 1: nothing for him to do but show off them teeth.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I mean he got to be grinning twenty four seven.
- 15:10Speaker 1: That ain't your business. Let him. That's what you would
- 15:13Speaker 1: do if you didn't have no teeth and you finally
- 15:15Speaker 1: got teeth. What you're gonna do? You in folks face?
- 15:18Speaker 1: You said it best. Everything is funny, overlapping, overlading. Wad
- 15:34Speaker 1: what time is it? I you gotta do? I let
- 15:38Speaker 1: to say the time? Were you so all for some teeth?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Stupid jay? You got no health there? Sorry, you got
- 15:51Speaker 1: no Okay? Joyceon Delaware as we move on right something
- 15:55Speaker 1: in my mid sixties. My husband died last year, but
- 15:58Speaker 1: we were separated when he died. His family is giving
- 16:01Speaker 1: me a hard time because I am I was still
- 16:04Speaker 1: on his insurance policies, and I own half of our house.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I had to handle all of his arrangements last year,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and I sold his sports car. His brother thought he
- 16:13Speaker 1: should have gotten the car, and his sister thought she
- 16:15Speaker 1: was in his will. To be honest, he didn't have
- 16:18Speaker 1: much when he died. Yet they look at me like
- 16:21Speaker 1: I'm sitting on a gold mine. Now, how do I
- 16:23Speaker 1: cut these people off my back? I let him keep looking,
- 16:27Speaker 1: Let him keep looking. That's all you gotta do. Let
- 16:28Speaker 1: him and let him keep looking, and just them don't
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't cross this, don't okay, you look all you won't.
- 16:34Speaker 1: You can talk all you want, but you ain't got
- 16:36Speaker 1: a damn thing coming. Your brother didn't have nothing, and
- 16:39Speaker 1: you ain't gotten that in coming. You gotta be strong.
- 16:42Speaker 1: When did people leave you? You gotta be strong, yea
- 16:45Speaker 1: to the other side of the family, because they wreck
- 16:47Speaker 1: your whole life. Yes they will, Yes, they will do it.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I'm t they will do it, man, they will do it. Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: They always wanted me to have that rocking shire. Yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you stop lying in He always wanted me to have
- 17:05Speaker 1: that big back, Keith. You know he didn't tell you that.
- 17:12Speaker 1: He always wanted me to have that he always I'm
- 17:15Speaker 1: coming to get in the frigerated you you bring your
- 17:17Speaker 1: hands over. Come on what happened when me and him
- 17:20Speaker 1: talked about that deep freezer for years. Man agreed that
- 17:25Speaker 1: I was gonna move that day. I just had moved to.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Jake said to try to. He had that old time
- 17:31Speaker 1: washing machine on the back porch. He said, when he
- 17:35Speaker 1: leave it, that was gonna be mine. No it ain't,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and damn ain't gonna be yours. No, I remember that space.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You remember that space, Heather. He kept in the background
- 17:45Speaker 1: that he had an old time oscolating fan, and he
- 17:55Speaker 1: said that you had. All right, We're moving on. Chris
- 18:00Speaker 1: for himself, philm Michigan says two weeks ago, I got
- 18:02Speaker 1: into a fight in a restaurant after our server dropped
- 18:05Speaker 1: a tray of water on my wife. I politely asked
- 18:08Speaker 1: him to take care of our meal, and the manager
- 18:11Speaker 1: offered us a free dessert and started talking slick, so
- 18:14Speaker 1: I cursed him out. He got in my face and
- 18:16Speaker 1: I hit him. We got into a scuffle and the
- 18:19Speaker 1: security guard broke it up, and the manager said, my
- 18:21Speaker 1: wife and I are banned from the restaurant. He was
- 18:24Speaker 1: out of line. So how can I fix this? Okay?
- 18:27Speaker 1: What you think you think? You go, okay, this is yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 1: then look at this. Let's break this down. You whooped
- 18:37Speaker 1: the manage the ads, and you really think you can
- 18:40Speaker 1: go back getting it and eat? Really you think that
- 18:44Speaker 1: I own a restaurant. If somebody whooped my ass, they
- 18:48Speaker 1: can't come back to that is it? Some suffers are given,
- 18:52Speaker 1: some suffering something don't come back next We no, like,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I ain't gonna recognize you when you come into Dolly.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I will know when you call for uber. Yes, I'm like,
- 19:09Speaker 1: hell no, don't you take anything over there? No? Oti
- 19:13Speaker 1: the no, and he shouldn't want to eat. I'm doing
- 19:21Speaker 1: like many, like many on the hill. That's what I feel,
- 19:23Speaker 1: making many don't burn this. She ain't got no Pennis
- 19:30Speaker 1: over the platinum, right, you're really not hoping today? Shay alright?
- 19:36Speaker 1: Or hey and Los Angeles says, I'm fifty four years
- 19:39Speaker 1: old married to a fifty nine year old retired corrections officer.
- 19:43Speaker 1: She recently retired, and she's put her whole life on
- 19:46Speaker 1: a schedule for insidence. This is crazy right here. For instance,
- 19:51Speaker 1: when I come home from work, we have to eat
- 19:54Speaker 1: dinner right away. I changed my clothes. Then she takes
- 19:59Speaker 1: a shower, then I have to shower right after her.
- 20:02Speaker 1: She no longer lets me watch TV in bed, so
- 20:05Speaker 1: I have a few hours to watch each night. Lights book,
- 20:08Speaker 1: it's lights out, that's right. I feel like she's a

- 22:59Speaker 1: I ain't going back and forth with you. In words
- 23:02Speaker 1: that I loved that passage. I love that he stood
- 23:06Speaker 1: up living. In other words, he's telling you the life
- 23:08Speaker 1: that he's living is the best life he's living. And
- 23:11Speaker 1: he's not gonna go back and forth and back and
- 23:15Speaker 1: forth with you. In words, I love it, and that's
- 23:18Speaker 1: what and that's what they'll make you go back and forth.
- 23:23Speaker 1: And he said I can't do that. Why Why did
- 23:25Speaker 1: he say that? Why did he say that? Man? Because
- 23:27Speaker 1: he lived in his best life exactly. I'll be reading
- 23:36Speaker 1: from the book of Brown, from the book of Brown,
- 23:39Speaker 1: the book Brown Apostle Brown, where he says, get up
- 23:43Speaker 1: all for that thing and dance till you feel better.
- 23:48Speaker 1: In other words, and other words, you've been on that
- 23:51Speaker 1: thing too long and it's time to get up all
- 23:55Speaker 1: for that thing. That you get up worse you get
- 23:59Speaker 1: off the thing, dance Do you feel better? Say that
- 24:04Speaker 1: one say that, he said, he says in the book,

- 24:08Speaker 1: you're listening. He said, get up for that sing wow,
- 24:12Speaker 1: Get up over that thing. That means you own the thing,
- 24:15Speaker 1: whatever it is, Get up off it and dance to
- 24:19Speaker 1: you feel better. Go right ahead, and you read from
- 24:21Speaker 1: your book. You read from all right, let's let's let's
- 24:23Speaker 1: let's let's let's let's let's let's let's let's let's let's
- 24:26Speaker 1: let's go from the the hip hop Testament. There you
- 24:30Speaker 1: can look in the book, a bell be of the fault,
- 24:35Speaker 1: the old great apostles, great apostles, let apostles right there.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And now you look at the fourth chapter. It says
- 24:40Speaker 1: there never trust a big butt and a smile. That's
- 24:45Speaker 1: what it said. It says, now what that means right there?
- 24:47Speaker 1: What that means right there, I reverend is you can
- 24:50Speaker 1: you can trust a smile. But if if there's a
- 24:54Speaker 1: big butt alone with it, those two don't go that alm.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Do you understand where I'm coming? But He's is you
- 25:00Speaker 1: can trust a smile. A smile not gonna hurt you,
- 25:04Speaker 1: will hurt you. It's some big butt that'll do you
- 25:07Speaker 1: in that will that will do you in every time.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it. I'm gonna keep it on that
- 25:13Speaker 1: book right there. What you're reading from Bill, I'm gonna
- 25:15Speaker 1: read from bib bib Bot. I'm gonna be a little
- 25:18Speaker 1: Another passage in that book, another passage it says right here,
- 25:23Speaker 1: when they said smack it up, flip it and then
- 25:27Speaker 1: rub it down. I break it down, smack it up.
- 25:32Speaker 1: And then once you smack it up, what do you do?
- 25:35Speaker 1: You flip it? Flip it said again? You say it again,
- 25:38Speaker 1: say it again, and then and then rub it down.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Then rub it down, smack it up, flip it. Those
- 25:47Speaker 1: are great apostle. You go ahead and read now you
- 25:49Speaker 1: read now what we're gonna do now we are going
- 25:52Speaker 1: to go from the Old Testament here. Let's see, this
- 25:56Speaker 1: is from the book of Pendergrass. Yes, turn off lights,
- 26:03Speaker 1: turn them off, and light a candle. That's what it's saying. Now,
- 26:06Speaker 1: what people don't understand what this is not about? Romance
- 26:09Speaker 1: the light Bill was getting out of control. That's what
- 26:12Speaker 1: this was all about. What did he say? What did
- 26:15Speaker 1: he say? He turned off the lights and light ain't candle?
- 26:21Speaker 1: That ain't nobody just trying to turn off the lights
- 26:26Speaker 1: and light ain't candle, that's what he said. That's somebody
- 26:30Speaker 1: trying to conserve energy. Right there, I'm gonna be reading
- 26:33Speaker 1: from the Book of Genuine, Genuine, so genuine. When he said,
- 26:40Speaker 1: is there any more room? Know? He said, have you
- 26:46Speaker 1: heard this? Pass your sister getting ahead of me? You're
- 26:49Speaker 1: getting ahead of me, sister, He said, have you heard
- 26:53Speaker 1: this the book? And you read the book that you
- 26:56Speaker 1: know what I'm about to say. He said that any
- 26:58Speaker 1: more room? And a sister, sister, please don't get ahead
- 27:04Speaker 1: of me. Can't you watch it? Anymore room? Because he
- 27:12Speaker 1: looked at him genus he wants to know, he wants
- 27:15Speaker 1: to know any more room? Yeah, in them, Jane, that's
- 27:19Speaker 1: when you ask Uno. All right, we're going back to
- 27:27Speaker 1: the hip hop testing and let me see. Let's see.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It's the third book. It is the Book of Smalls
- 27:33Speaker 1: and the Book of Smiles and it and it reads
- 27:36Speaker 1: I here's the passage. It says, thought he worked hells
- 27:39Speaker 1: until I handled my bills. Do you do understand that?
- 27:43Speaker 1: So he working? Here? What you said? He worked hells
- 27:47Speaker 1: until I handled my bells? That's the book up biggest
- 27:50Speaker 1: smiles right now? Thought he worked here behind until I
- 27:54Speaker 1: handled my bed. Such a great passage, such a great
- 28:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna be reading from an apostle. I don't know
- 28:02Speaker 1: who wrote this, I have no idea. I think it's
- 28:04Speaker 1: Scias Santana where he says, let me see you walk,
- 28:08Speaker 1: walk walk. You can talk all that trash, but let
- 28:13Speaker 1: me see you walk. In other words, in other words,
- 28:16Speaker 1: he said, you're talking. You're actually talking, and I like
- 28:20Speaker 1: to talking. But what I need to do, what I
- 28:25Speaker 1: need to do. Oh, I don't believe you with me today.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Come on, I don't believe you. Listen what I need
- 28:31Speaker 1: you do, and let me see your walk. Whop, let
- 28:35Speaker 1: me see your walk. Go right ahead, pous to go ahead.
- 28:38Speaker 1: All right. We have one of our one of our
- 28:40Speaker 1: Caucasian apostles here. We're going to go to the Book
- 28:44Speaker 1: of Collins. It says I can't feel it coming in
- 28:50Speaker 1: the air tonight. That's what it said. I'm gonna say
- 28:54Speaker 1: it one more time, coming in the airmy nba tonight.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Oh man, let me get this last Let me get
- 29:11Speaker 1: this last one it. Let me get this gut from
- 29:13Speaker 1: the book the Book of Usha. Don't nobody kissing like
- 29:17Speaker 1: you do? Bang bang bang bang, bang bang, bang bang.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Thank you. That's church complaint. Coming up entertainment and national news.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:31Speaker 1: In today's entertainment news, seventy nine year old Reverend Jesse
- 29:35Speaker 1: Jackson and his wife Jacquelin have been hospitalized in Chicago
- 29:39Speaker 1: after testing positive for COVID nineteen. Reverend Jackson is vaccinated
- 29:44Speaker 1: against the virus and received his first dose back in
- 29:46Speaker 1: January during a live broadcast as he urged others to
- 29:50Speaker 1: get vaccinated at the time. Despite having been diagnosed with
- 29:53Speaker 1: Parkinson's disease, Reverend Jackson has remained active and has advocated
- 29:58Speaker 1: for COVID nineteen backs scenes for black Americans now, according
- 30:02Speaker 1: to m Sen. Earlier this month, he was arrested outside
- 30:06Speaker 1: the US Capital during a demonstration calling for Congress to
- 30:09Speaker 1: end the filibuster in order to support voting rights. Prayer
- 30:12Speaker 1: of healing, of course, going out to Reverend Jackson and
- 30:16Speaker 1: his lovely wife Jacqueline. Yeah, it's brave with him. Yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 1: And this story makes you think that maybe they need
- 30:29Speaker 1: to rethink and maybe speed up the third dose or
- 30:36Speaker 1: especially those that were vaccinated early, which is our elderly population.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Back in January and February. Yeah, so yeah, I get many. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: we gotta take nine most shots. If they got him
- 30:56Speaker 1: around whatever pills shot, whyever you want to do it. Yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 1: we're praying for Reverend Jackson is absolutely absolutely quick and
- 31:16Speaker 1: speedy recovery and other entertainment news during the R. Kelly trial, well,
- 31:21Speaker 1: it has had some shocking testimony. Chris G. McGrath took
- 31:25Speaker 1: the stand. The doctor, who is a faculty member and
- 31:28Speaker 1: Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine UM, testified about his
- 31:34Speaker 1: twenty five years social and professional relationship with Kelly. Doctor
- 31:37Speaker 1: McGrath said he started treating him for STDs as early
- 31:42Speaker 1: as nineteen ninety four, occasionally making house calls. He also
- 31:46Speaker 1: said that he prescribed herpes medication as early as two
- 31:49Speaker 1: thousand and seven and uh now to review. Prosecutors say
- 31:53Speaker 1: that Robert had unprotected sex with two partners and didn't
- 31:57Speaker 1: disclose the diagnosis his diagnosis. Those allegations fell under ten
- 32:02Speaker 1: of the charges Kelly faced in federal court. Even though
- 32:05Speaker 1: Kelly had had health insurance, he never paid McGrath for treatment.
- 32:10Speaker 1: He would, however, invite him and his wife, Jean to
- 32:14Speaker 1: parties dinners and pay for his flights to concerts around
- 32:18Speaker 1: the country. So you didn't pay your insurance, but you
- 32:21Speaker 1: paid for them to go to concerts. Well, the fact
- 32:25Speaker 1: that did they go, did they accept that? Yeah? You
- 32:28Speaker 1: know that. Well, he probably kept promising them, I'm gonna
- 32:31Speaker 1: pay you. I'm gonna pay you. I'm going to pay you.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You know, man, did you see those videos on social
- 32:37Speaker 1: media of the prosecutors going to the courthouse all the
- 32:43Speaker 1: carts of evidence cases? If they get your wi in one, two,
- 32:49Speaker 1: three up Krogel with them back, Yeah, moving their stuff
- 32:59Speaker 1: from the mansion. All right, Jay, it is time for
- 33:04Speaker 1: today's headlines. Please introduce. All right, everybody, it's time for
- 33:07Speaker 1: the news with miss ann Trip. Thank you, Good morning everyone. Well, yes,
- 33:11Speaker 1: the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Missus Jaqueline Jackson in a
- 33:14Speaker 1: Chicago hospital after both being diagnosed with COVID nineteen. However,
- 33:18Speaker 1: both were vaccinated. Their son, Jonathan says that both are
- 33:21Speaker 1: responding well to treatment, so we're very happy about that.
- 33:24Speaker 1: And that's even though the civil rights icon, as you know,
- 33:27Speaker 1: is afflicted with Parkinson's disease. The Reverend Jackson is seventy nine,
- 33:31Speaker 1: his wife is seventy seven in Tennessee, now about twenty
- 33:34Speaker 1: two people reported dead, as many as sixty people missing
- 33:37Speaker 1: in the middle of that state, hit by record rainfall
- 33:39Speaker 1: Friday into Saturday morning courtesy of tropical storm on re
- 33:43Speaker 1: on Remay Landfall, and Rhode Island. Yesterday, the President has
- 33:46Speaker 1: approved emergency status and aid for New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island,
- 33:50Speaker 1: authorized FEMA and Federal Emergency Management Agency work, in other words,
- 33:54Speaker 1: to coordinate disaster and relief efforts. In a televised address
- 33:57Speaker 1: on the White House yesterday, President Biden updated nation on
- 34:00Speaker 1: the evacuation efforts in Afghanistan. Mister Biden says close to
- 34:04Speaker 1: four thousand people were evacuated this weekend by US forces.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Another four thousand or so airlifted out aboard thirty five
- 34:10Speaker 1: coalition vehicles or coalition planes, bringing the total number of
- 34:14Speaker 1: evacuations to over twenty five thousand people so far since
- 34:18Speaker 1: Afghanistan fell to Taliban last week. Past week has been heartbreaking.
- 34:22Speaker 1: We've seen gut wrenching images of panic people acting out
- 34:26Speaker 1: of sheer desperation. They're frightened, uncertain what happens next. We
- 34:31Speaker 1: have almost six thousand of America's finance fighting men and
- 34:35Speaker 1: women at the Kabul airport. Our NATO allies are strongly
- 34:39Speaker 1: standing with us, their troops keeping century alongside ours and Kaboul.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It'll be plenty of time to criticize in second guests
- 34:47Speaker 1: when this operation is over. But now now I'm focused
- 34:52Speaker 1: on getting this job done. And the President also hopes
- 34:54Speaker 1: to host a summit meeting on the situation maybe tomorrow,
- 34:57Speaker 1: and will convene the G seven group of the world
- 35:00Speaker 1: leading democracies so together we can coordinate our mutual approach,
- 35:04Speaker 1: our united approach on Afghanistan and moving forward, we are
- 35:09Speaker 1: uniting with our closest partners to execute the mission at
- 35:13Speaker 1: hand and to bring international pressure on the tally bomb
- 35:16Speaker 1: with respect to the treatment of Afghan people overall, but
- 35:20Speaker 1: including Afghan particularly women and girls. And the President's reiterated
- 35:24Speaker 1: than any American who wishes to leave Afghanistan will get home. Meanwhile,
- 35:28Speaker 1: while mister Biden's being knocked for the way the evacuations
- 35:30Speaker 1: going at Homeland, security advisor to former Vice President Pence
- 35:33Speaker 1: has a different take. Oliver Olivia Troy accuses the Trump
- 35:36Speaker 1: administration and Republicans of distorting the truth, and she writes
- 35:40Speaker 1: on Twitter the ex President actually sought to prevent Afghan
- 35:43Speaker 1: refugees from entering the US. Finally, sadly, actor Charlie Robinson
- 35:47Speaker 1: has died. Charlie Robinson was seventy five. He was perhaps
- 35:50Speaker 1: best known as Mac on the sitcom Night Court. Now
- 35:54Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show,
- 35:59Speaker 1: Come on, Tommy introduced your the Captain team, Tommy President
- 36:05Speaker 1: and CEO Captain all of that. Ladies and gentlemen, it
- 36:09Speaker 1: is that time. We're about to take a ride. Buckle
- 36:11Speaker 1: up and hold on tight, because we're going to deep,
- 36:13Speaker 1: deep into the mind of the one and only Jay
- 36:17Speaker 1: Anthony propping head. If you won't do full up on me,
- 36:20Speaker 1: if you want through, it's all going down to the
- 36:23Speaker 1: Jay Spot, y'all to Jay's body is wide open Tuesday Night.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I got mister Alex Thomas and friends. Here we go,
- 36:30Speaker 1: Here we go. It's time once again for last week's
- 36:33Speaker 1: news with yours truly James ze Brown sung by Jay
- 36:37Speaker 1: Anthony Brown. Stop in the name of Love, and I'm
- 36:41Speaker 1: talking about COVID and the Delta virus. And it don't
- 36:44Speaker 1: look like it's gonna stop until we We're gonna be
- 36:47Speaker 1: rebody and go get your damn shot. I lost it.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Sorry I lost it. Yes you did, CHICR. But we
- 36:54Speaker 1: love you anyway. You came in dead last, damn run
- 37:00Speaker 1: a race, but then I got high. I wan't gonna

- 37:10Speaker 1: still love you. Next is my girl Emma Rose. Somebody's
- 37:14Speaker 1: sleeping in my bad looked like her boyfriend a E
- 37:20Speaker 1: had sex with the whole damn alphabet. Damn twelve people.
- 37:25Speaker 1: That's a lot of people. That's like, we are the world.
- 37:29Speaker 1: We are the children. Rock the boat, rocked the boat.
- 37:34Speaker 1: That's right to live. Music is shotting on the gram,
- 37:37Speaker 1: y'all number one. I love my mama. She's my favorite girl.
- 37:44Speaker 1: That's what Marlon Wayne said why he didn't marry his
- 37:47Speaker 1: baby mama because he wants his mama to be his
- 37:50Speaker 1: favorite girl. That's all right, Marmy. We love you anyway,
- 37:54Speaker 1: as long as you take your your beat. Hey be
- 37:57Speaker 1: why this goes out to all your baby mammas, just
- 38:01Speaker 1: goes out to all the baby mamas. I hate you
- 38:04Speaker 1: so much right now. I hate you so much right now.
- 38:08Speaker 1: That happened to Trump at his own damn rally when
- 38:11Speaker 1: he told his people to go get vaccinated. They were like,
- 38:13Speaker 1: moved trumpet get out the way, Trump, get out the way.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Moved Trump, get out the way. Upside the head sits
- 38:24Speaker 1: upside the head side the head sit oops upside the
- 38:29Speaker 1: head and oops is right? I think Biden me the
- 38:32Speaker 1: big mistake when he pulls the truth out of Afghan
- 38:35Speaker 1: understand whatout a planning, without a plan at all, left
- 38:38Speaker 1: all those people behind. But you know what, in the
- 38:41Speaker 1: words of Salt and Pepper, what a man want, A
- 38:43Speaker 1: man want, A man want a might a good man
- 38:46Speaker 1: and for me, for me is always a good week.
- 38:50Speaker 1: It is always a good week when the Cowboys lose.
- 38:54Speaker 1: We love you Cowboys fans, but I gotta sing this fan,
- 38:58Speaker 1: why don't you pick up yo feeling? Because it's been
- 39:03Speaker 1: the new with your shoon j Nthony Brown with the
- 39:06Speaker 1: Steve Hobby Morning Show. Watch that did get up all
- 39:12Speaker 1: that is going on inside of this Okay, coming up
- 39:16Speaker 1: in thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll talk about
- 39:19Speaker 1: dropping your kids off at college. We'll talk about that
- 39:21Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 39:27Speaker 1: it is time for back to school. I think Carla
- 39:29Speaker 1: mentioned that earlier she has to get her daughter up
- 39:32Speaker 1: today to go to her first day of school. A
- 39:34Speaker 1: little yeah, wait wait wait, yes, wake up too early, baby,
- 39:43Speaker 1: sleep all right. First, we've been seeing a lot of
- 39:47Speaker 1: posts on social media, on Instagram, on Facebook, TikTok about
- 39:51Speaker 1: dropping kids off at college. Now, this one guy posted,
- 39:54Speaker 1: my sister had to drop one of my nieces off
- 39:56Speaker 1: at college yesterday, and she and my brother in law
- 39:58Speaker 1: were both a hot men us, crying and everything. But
- 40:02Speaker 1: my niece, on the other hand, couldn't wait for them
- 40:05Speaker 1: to leave so she could start her college experience and
- 40:08Speaker 1: just kick it, you know. So this goes out to
- 40:12Speaker 1: the Morning Crew. Were you Were you happy to see

- 40:40Speaker 1: years I was in in drama in school and stuff
- 40:44Speaker 1: like that. I had no idea that my pops was
- 40:47Speaker 1: a theater major at Southern University. So I'm you know,
- 40:52Speaker 1: he was like, you living my dream, boy, go get it.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I hadn't hear, you know. He dropped out his school
- 40:56Speaker 1: to help his mom take to help my grandparents take
- 40:59Speaker 1: care of my ten siblings. So it was the oldest.
- 41:03Speaker 1: So yeah, so yeah, my Pomps was crying. He was crying.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I'm not what he told me that. Still, I was
- 41:07Speaker 1: crying all the way to school. Everybody crying. I will
- 41:13Speaker 1: be I will be crying when I dropped sitting they
- 41:15Speaker 1: off next that's next year. I will be in tears. Well,
- 41:19Speaker 1: I went to a trade school with fifty miles from Columbia,
- 41:22Speaker 1: South Carolina, and my mother was crying, But those were
- 41:24Speaker 1: tears of joy. There was were definitely cheers and joy
- 41:27Speaker 1: to that was that I was leaving and I was
- 41:29Speaker 1: out the house, and she was so happy that I
- 41:31Speaker 1: was going away, you know, to become a tailor. And
- 41:35Speaker 1: she was just crying and laughing at the whole the
- 41:37Speaker 1: same damn time. Man, It was just joy for her.
- 41:40Speaker 1: And she was there when I graduated, so it was cool.
- 41:42Speaker 1: It was cool, but but like you when you when
- 41:44Speaker 1: you first put all your stuff up time. I don't
- 41:46Speaker 1: know about you. You put up your stuff up in
- 41:48Speaker 1: the room and you go, damn, I'm here by myself. Man. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 1: it hits you. Man. Nobody telling you, yeah, telling you
- 41:59Speaker 1: what to do. Man, this is you know, I had
- 42:01Speaker 1: a roommate and this is man, this what I'm gonna
- 42:04Speaker 1: do next? You know, but didn't you adjust you that
- 42:08Speaker 1: first day? Is something? Man, it's something junior. You got
- 42:11Speaker 1: dropped off. I got dropped off. I didn't want my
- 42:15Speaker 1: parents to leave. I didn't if you say at prayer, yeah,
- 42:21Speaker 1: because they caused the problem. Because see when you pull
- 42:24Speaker 1: up with two cars full of stuff and then my
- 42:26Speaker 1: mama hop out and say you you you you, and
- 42:29Speaker 1: you go take your stuff to this room. Now I
- 42:31Speaker 1: got a problem. I don't know these dudes to plush strikes.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Then they're gonna say, all right, now y'all take it
- 42:37Speaker 1: to get something eat. Hey, they're gonna want my ass.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Soon as you pull off. You made a move all
- 42:42Speaker 1: my stuff in the door, and then that don't even
- 42:45Speaker 1: know me, and then y'all leave it where y'all going.
- 42:46Speaker 1: It's a fight about to jump off. If I brought
- 42:48Speaker 1: the next twenty minute but thank god day by homeboys.
- 42:51Speaker 1: To this day, we still tight. I mean, we actually
- 42:55Speaker 1: have to all be in the same bay area and
- 42:57Speaker 1: you don't even have across the hall for me. Man,
- 42:59Speaker 1: But my mom made to move all my stuff in
- 43:01Speaker 1: the dorm, and I was nervous because I was like, man,
- 43:03Speaker 1: if I had to pack this heavy chest up here
- 43:05Speaker 1: for somebody else, Man, I'm the leave. I don't want
- 43:10Speaker 1: them to leave. It was fun, It was fun, I
- 43:13Speaker 1: think for me. When I moved in, my mom cried.
- 43:16Speaker 1: But you know, my best friend was my roommate and
- 43:18Speaker 1: our moms were best friends. So when they left Toria
- 43:22Speaker 1: Now we looked at until I walked across the campus
- 43:30Speaker 1: and my advisor looked at me and said, you want
- 43:32Speaker 1: to join us in class or should I call your mama?
- 43:34Speaker 1: Said I'm coming, I'm coming right there, right there. Good times,
- 43:42Speaker 1: good times, good time. So next year, timey Sydney, next

- 44:57Speaker 1: Let's go get Oh you waste rym. It's a lot
- 45:00Speaker 1: of place. Hello, I'm trying to speak to a dels.
- 45:04Speaker 1: This is she? Do you live in an apartment number
- 45:06Speaker 1: seven eighth? That depends on who are asking. My name
- 45:11Speaker 1: is Herman Wales. I live in building three, apartment one
- 45:13Speaker 1: on five. Do you live in an apartment number seventy eight.
- 45:17Speaker 1: What you want with where I live? Look, man, do
- 45:20Speaker 1: you drive a camera or toyo? The camera? Light blue? One? Yes?
- 45:24Speaker 1: All right? Your next dough neighbor then told me that
- 45:28Speaker 1: you ran into my car. I got a being as
- 45:30Speaker 1: a block one of two thousand and five C two forty.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Now I got light blue scratches on my neighbor told
- 45:38Speaker 1: you what your neighbor. Matter of fact, his name is
- 45:42Speaker 1: Brian Kendall to the little across the hall? What the
- 45:48Speaker 1: cross adem that little cross the hall told you what? Man? Listen,
- 45:53Speaker 1: all I know is he say he lived in apartment eighty.
- 45:56Speaker 1: He lived next dough to you. You live in a
- 45:58Speaker 1: supposedly apartment seventy age right here in Cambridge Court apartments.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Now all I'm saying here he told me your car
- 46:05Speaker 1: is which is the light blue car hit my back
- 46:08Speaker 1: into my car? Now, I ain't trying to create no problem,
- 46:10Speaker 1: but somebody got to fix my car and I got
- 46:12Speaker 1: light blue scratches on my bends. Uh. Last I checked
- 46:17Speaker 1: my light blue clamming. Wasn't the only light blue camera

- 55:34Speaker 1: we got it for you here. It is a Strawberry letter. Subject,
- 55:38Speaker 1: is it number one or number two. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 55:41Speaker 1: I am a twenty nine year old single woman and
- 55:43Speaker 1: I've been dating a twenty nine year old man for
- 55:45Speaker 1: four years. We have an on and off relationship and
- 55:50Speaker 1: we broke up over a year ago, and he met
- 55:53Speaker 1: a chick and she fell in love with him quickly.
- 55:55Speaker 1: He said it was just casual sex, but when he
- 55:58Speaker 1: and I decided to get back to together, she wouldn't
- 56:01Speaker 1: stop bothering us. She caused problems in our relationship all
- 56:04Speaker 1: the time, and one night she went to his house drunk,
- 56:07Speaker 1: so he made her some coffee and let her sleep
- 56:11Speaker 1: on his couch. He told me she snuck into his
- 56:14Speaker 1: bed in the middle of the night and they had sex.
- 56:18Speaker 1: From that one encounter, she ended up getting pregnant and
- 56:22Speaker 1: he felt pressured to marry her. A few weeks later,
- 56:25Speaker 1: I found out I was pregnant too, and he hit
- 56:30Speaker 1: me with the news that he was marrying this other chick.
- 56:33Speaker 1: He said it was just for the baby. I asked him,
- 56:36Speaker 1: what about our baby and if that meant that she
- 56:38Speaker 1: is number one and I was number two. He said
- 56:40Speaker 1: it wasn't that simple and asked me to give him
- 56:43Speaker 1: some time. He was all excited when he found out
- 56:46Speaker 1: I was having a boy. He said he wanted our
- 56:48Speaker 1: son to be named after him. That made me hopeful
- 56:52Speaker 1: that we'd be a family one day soon. She had
- 56:55Speaker 1: her baby two weeks before I did, and he called
- 56:58Speaker 1: to tell me it was a boy and that his
- 57:00Speaker 1: son is named after him, so we would have to
- 57:03Speaker 1: find another name from my son. I told him I
- 57:06Speaker 1: did not ever want to speak to him again, and
- 57:09Speaker 1: when my son was born, I texted him to let
- 57:11Speaker 1: him know and he didn't reply. It's been weeks and
- 57:15Speaker 1: I haven't heard from him. I don't understand how he
- 57:18Speaker 1: chose her and her baby over us. I have made
- 57:20Speaker 1: sure his wife has seen my son, since he looks
- 57:23Speaker 1: just like his daddy. How did I go from being
- 57:26Speaker 1: number one to number two to not being in his
- 57:29Speaker 1: life at all? Oh my goodness, this hurts my heart
- 57:34Speaker 1: right here, stuff like this, because I really really really
- 57:38Speaker 1: want my sisters in these disrespectful, crazy relationships to get it.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You gotta take a step back and look at what's
- 57:45Speaker 1: really going on and what's been going on for four
- 57:48Speaker 1: years of your life. You were with someone who did
- 57:51Speaker 1: not claim you. First of all, you should never have
- 57:55Speaker 1: to ask this question, are you number one to number two?
- 57:59Speaker 1: Because if you have to ask, that means you're number one.
- 58:02Speaker 1: You're neither one. Okay, that's right, you are now not now,
- 58:08Speaker 1: nor have you ever been number one? Okay. He doesn't
- 58:11Speaker 1: treat you like number one. He's never treated you like
- 58:13Speaker 1: number one. You said the relationship was off and on
- 58:16Speaker 1: to begin with, and while you're off, he got with
- 58:18Speaker 1: someone else. This was over a year ago, and he
- 58:21Speaker 1: has a real relationship with them. How do we know
- 58:24Speaker 1: all of this because he what married her, all these things,
- 58:28Speaker 1: he named their son after him. All you have is
- 58:33Speaker 1: a sexual relationship with him. I mean you know that's it.
- 58:37Speaker 1: And how do we know this because you got pregnant.
- 58:40Speaker 1: So now is the time for you to realize that
- 58:43Speaker 1: he's been lying to you all along and that his
- 58:46Speaker 1: future does not include you period. It just does not.
- 58:49Speaker 1: It never really has except for you know, when you
- 58:52Speaker 1: guys were on and he came over to have sex
- 58:55Speaker 1: with you. So at this point you need to stop
- 58:58Speaker 1: worrying about being his number one or even his number two,
- 59:02Speaker 1: and you gotta put yourself number one. Okay, you need
- 59:06Speaker 1: to be number one to yourself respect, yourself, get your
- 59:09Speaker 1: self esteem, ups. Don't let any man, or him or
- 59:12Speaker 1: anyone else treat you like this, and take this man
- 59:16Speaker 1: to court and get some child support. You're gonna have
- 59:19Speaker 1: to move on with your life, okay, because he's married
- 59:21Speaker 1: to her. And that's it, all right, Tommy. I don't
- 59:27Speaker 1: think you're number one a number two. I think you
- 59:29Speaker 1: just somebody that just made some crazy, crazy decisions that
- 59:33Speaker 1: didn't go well for you. This brand him. He don't
- 59:35Speaker 1: want you, he didn't make you shouldn't know that by now, right,
- 59:40Speaker 1: he don't want you. I hope he doesn't take it.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I hope he takes care of his child. Well, here's
- 59:44Speaker 1: what I didn't understand. I didn't understand this that this
- 59:47Speaker 1: girl went by his high. He gave us some coffee.
- 59:51Speaker 1: And now I ain't coffee supposed to keep you up?
- 59:53Speaker 1: Ain't there? We're comfort due? Yeah, yeah, don't coffee keep
- 59:56Speaker 1: you up. That's why she was up in the middle
- 59:57Speaker 1: of the night. That's why she went in the bedroom
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: you had from coffee. She looks how to wait? All right,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: This is what this one was really going. Also, now
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: you got two babies. Here's what I don't need to
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: understand about any of y'all. I don't understand this unprotected
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: sex that's going on, and now it's two babies at
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: the same time of this brother. He just going back
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and forth between y'all and you haven't realized it. You
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: know what you gotta do. You gotta do this. You
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: gotta have some respect for yourself. You got the lady up.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: You got to forget about him. You gotta raise your child.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Enough said. All right, we'll have part two of the
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter coming up at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: hour of subject is it number one or number two?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, let's recap today's
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. The subject isn't number one or number two?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: A twenty nine year old woman wrote in she's single.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: She's been dating a twenty nine year old man for
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: four years. They've had an on and off relationship for
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: those four years. They broke up about a year ago.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: While they broke up, he met a chick, she says,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: fell in love. The chick fell in love with him quickly.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: He said. It was just casual sex, but then the
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: two of them decided to get back together. And then
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: this other woman that he met while they were off.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: While they were off, wouldn't leave them alone. She kept
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: bothering them. She got pregnant by him. He decided to
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: marry her, and then the woman who wrote the letter
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: found out she was pregnant as well. The man told
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: her to name the son that she was having after him,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: but come to find out, the wife also had a boy,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: so she named him after her husband. So this woman
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: who wrote the letter is confused. She wants to know
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: is she number one? Is she number two? Why is
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he lying? Why is she out of his life? He
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: didn't text her back when she told her that the
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: baby was born or anything. So she's trying to figure
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: it out. But there's nothing to figure out. He has
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: moved on, and that's what you need to do. Jay,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: What you got. I' gonna give you some numbers real quick. Okay,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you some damn numbers. Number one, that
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: man has moved on with his damn life. Okay. Number
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: two is number two? He not thinking about you or
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: that damn baby. Number three. Once you get a number,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you've been in a place where they give you a number.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Once you get that number, that is your damn number.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: You can't change that number. You are number, you are
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: number you probably number eight, you number eight. You ain't
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: even you ain't even two, three, four, five, six, seven
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: or eight. Number four. That man's got his hands full
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: with the baby that he has. He ain't got time
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: to take on another baby. Number five, I wish you
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: woug over there in clown. Your life is in hell. Nine,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Leave it like it is, move on with your not
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: And I'm sure that baby probably even look like him.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: It probably doesn't even look like him at all. You
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: just saying that won't know what that baby looked like.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: And he was absolutely right. You did sneak into bed,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you did put him on. He wasn't up all that.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: He put your ass on the couch. They say, I
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: know you in the bed. That isn't his fault. That
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: your damn fault. You need to accept some responsibility. But
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: where you are right now in your life, that's number six.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Leave that man alone. That's not his baby. Move on
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: with your life. That's it. Number six. I'm dying. You
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: don't think it's his baby. He don't know that in
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: his damn baby he put on the couch. Next thing
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: he knows she in the bed. That any way he
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: put you, he puts put you on the couch. Why
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: are you that he's marrying on the couch. Yeah, that's
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the one he loved. Did he married who he loved? Yeah?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: He don't. He don't love you. Who's saying that? Sound
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: we don't love him? Who say? Hey down? Yeah? Let
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: me let me just tell us lady this, um, you
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: know I'm with you first of all, everybody great, great answers,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: because we don't know what number you are, but you
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: only gave us to to choose from. So we go
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: off or number one and number two. There's a litmus
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: test for this, and we gonna gain you a litmus two.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: We're gonna find out if you're a number one and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: number two, we're gonna throw the question back at you. Now,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I breathe with surety. If you went first of all,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: if you have to ask, probably number two. And here's why.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Number one don't know nothing about number twos, but U
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: twos know everything about number one. What you think I'm lying?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: You just sat here and wrote us a whole letter
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: with info about number one, a whole letter you know
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: about the marriage. Matter of fact, you made your favorite
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: a number two because you had to take the name
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you want it and give it the number one. You
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: were number two. I don't look notice number one didn't
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: write in. Number two wrote it because number one don't
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: know nothing about you. She may suspect you around, but
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: she don't know, so she gonna get married. And let
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: me tell you another thing. Men, tell No. Umber two
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: is believable lies. I'm doing this for the baby. That's
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: why I'm marrying hoof. You believe this man gostelling for
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the full fledged church. Pat to the rim and say,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I'm only here because we got this baby. Go ahead,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: reb bring the vials on. He loved number one. That's
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: why number one get to go over there, fall asleep,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: sneak in the room. She didn't sneak, She walked in there.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: She didn't never on the couch. She was never on
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the couch. You ain't even now. Why would she be
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: on the couch and you ain't there? He was dash.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: She might be on the couch, but you weren't there.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: You believe another lie. I put on the couch. No
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: she did. She took a coffee cup drinking on the
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: side of the bed with him. Didn't They had sex
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: and he was at home. We tell you believable lies.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Not here. You are trying to fail. If you're a
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: number one, number two, I suspect, like Jason, you might
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: be number eight. We don't know what number you are,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: could be two through ten, don't know. But you n
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: number one though, We definitely know because number one don't
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: know nothing about number two, but number two know everything
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: about number one. I bet you don't call you unless
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you're out of town. They've been in this, we'll say,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: just relationship for lack of a better term, for four years.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: But this is the years that's over. That's oh yeah,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: that's they broke up over a year ago. That some experience.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: It's come on, tell it's some experienced number two. It's
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: a number two, been out there thirty years a number two. Yeah,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: but cold at it. Thought it though, and and let's
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: let's go and say this. You can't have like George
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Farmer had a bunch of Georges. You can have some
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: them kids can have the same name. If it was

- 1:16:43Speaker 1: waiting on help. Well, when this is over, you'll still
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: be waiting. Okay, that's all I gotta say. Go ahead,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: share this. Here we go. Oh this is an interesting name,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: La Crystal, I like that. I like that name. In Montgomery,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: La Crystal says, my stepfather is a hot mess and
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: he's got women all over the city and my mother
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: doesn't know it. Mama is a sweet Christian woman that
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: feeds the hungry and takes care of drug addicts that
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: are trying to get clean. That's how she met my stepdad.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: He's been clean for seven years and she helped him
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: build his self esteem and got his teeth fixed. Now
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: he thinks he's a castanova. I don't want my mama
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: to get hurt. So should I confront this fool? Not
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: at all? And what and what do you expect a
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: man to do with a brand new set of teeth? Really? Yea,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: but go grinning in folks face. I mean, there's nothing
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: for him to do, but show off him teeth. I
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: mean he got to be grinning twenty folk seven. That
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: ain't your business. Let him. That's what you would do
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: if you didn't have no teeth and you finally got teeth.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? You in folks face? The best?
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Everything is funny. What time is it I you gotta do?
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I let's say the time you so all for something?
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Stupid Jay? You got no help there? Sorry? Okay, Joyce
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: in Delaware? As we move on, right. So, I'm in
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: my mid sixties. My husband died last year, but we
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: were separated when he died. His family is giving me
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: a hard time because I am. I was still on
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: his insurance policies and I own half of our house.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I had to handle all of his arrangements last year,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and I sold his sports car. His brother thought he
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: should have gotten the car, and his sister thought she
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: was in his will. To be honest, he didn't have
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: much when he died. Yet they'd look at me like
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I'm sitting on a gold mine. Now, how do I
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: cut these people off my back? I can't let him
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: keep looking. Then let him keep looking. That's all you
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: gotta do. Let him, let him keep looking and just
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: set them. Don't don't cross this dough. Okay, you can
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: look all you want, you can talk all you want,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: but you ain't got a damn thing coming. Your brother
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: didn't have nothing, and you ain't got nothing coming. You
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: gotta be strong. When did people leave you? You gotta
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: be strong to the other side of the family because
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: there the wreck your whole life. They will do it.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I'm testing they will do it, man, they will do it. Yeah.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Coming up, it is our last break of the day. Dude.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: You come in here every day. When we out every day,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: there's no more. Also, at forty nine minutes after be
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: our we'll close out the show right after this. You're
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here we

- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Before we go, I want to ask you guys a
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: quick question. If you were a billionaire, what ridiculous service
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: that you love would you have in your house at
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: all the all times? Like Jeffrey Bezos, for instance, has
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: a new soft serve ice cream machine in one of
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: his houses. M I like that. What would you have, nephew?
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: I hope he ain't get the one from McDonald's. That
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: machine don't never work. What would you have about if
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I got a billion Shirley, I got to have what
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy had in coming to America. I need my
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: own bathers, you know what I mean? Raw bathes every morning,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: about five of them, just just washing time. Yes, and
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: when you when you drive me off, you're gonna wipe
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: me hard. You blow it. You bl block that, you
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: block that d block. Okay, and Junior, what about you?
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Oh that's easy. Monday night football at my house, just
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: me and my family watching the game. Y'all watching on TV.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: But it's gonna be here at the house. To be
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: at the house, I'm going out back. I got a
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: football staying them in the back I got they come
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: here every Yeah, y'all want to watch the games in

- 1:21:51Speaker 1: I got a billion dollars right. First of all, I'm
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: gonna hire billionaire three hundred and sixty five of these
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: people job because the job pays one hundred thousand a year.

- 1:22:37Speaker 1: when I have to come to work. I don't want
