- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, it's nice to have you on the Ben Ferguson
- 0:03Speaker 1: podcast today, and we've got a lot to cover, which
- 0:05Speaker 1: is big story if you've been watching the media, I
- 0:07Speaker 1: mean it's a huge story. You are supposed to want
- 0:10Speaker 1: to hate Ted Cruz now more than ever before. You're
- 0:14Speaker 1: supposed to want to demand that he resigned because he
- 0:16Speaker 1: was spending time with his family while his state was
- 0:20Speaker 1: dealing with a crisis. Let me be clear about something
- 0:23Speaker 1: about this real quick. And I like Ted Cruz, I
- 0:25Speaker 1: know him personally. I endorse Ted Cruz in the primary
- 0:29Speaker 1: in twenty sixteen. This was a bad decision from a
- 0:33Speaker 1: pr standpoint. Only the reality is there is not much
- 0:37Speaker 1: us centator is going to be doing when it comes
- 0:39Speaker 1: to the power grid right now in a crisis. The
- 0:42Speaker 1: reality is it's a state and a local issue. The
- 0:45Speaker 1: reality is for him to go to town not a
- 0:48Speaker 1: big deal. That's the reality. But then there is perception
- 0:53Speaker 1: while you have millions of people that are out of
- 0:55Speaker 1: water and out of power, you don't go icabo. I
- 1:00Speaker 1: don't care what party you're in now. Was it a
- 1:04Speaker 1: malicious decision? No? Is the media going to use it
- 1:07Speaker 1: against you? Yes? Did Ted Cruz know that yes, was
- 1:11Speaker 1: he thinking straight when he made this decision? Probably not.
- 1:15Speaker 1: But in reality, there is nothing that's going to happen
- 1:18Speaker 1: at his hands in Texas right now because he's a centator's,
- 1:23Speaker 1: in a weird way, a low man on the totem pole.
- 1:26Speaker 1: The governor, they're in charge, Mayors, they're in charge, local
- 1:30Speaker 1: elected officials, they're in charge. Now. Is there things that
- 1:34Speaker 1: he can do maybe down the road, sure, and other
- 1:35Speaker 1: things he could have done, maybe to help him get
- 1:37Speaker 1: his hands dirty at the very beginning, stead of going
- 1:39Speaker 1: to Cabo for take his family down there because his
- 1:41Speaker 1: kids are out of school and they wanted to spend
- 1:43Speaker 1: a few days away with their friends. Of course, But
- 1:47Speaker 1: but let me just compare before you start. You know,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the fake outrage over oh my gosh, ted cru spend
- 1:54Speaker 1: some time with his family. And again, if I was
- 1:55Speaker 1: advising him politically, I said, dude, you can't go. They'll
- 1:58Speaker 1: they will destroy you in the media. They will absolutely
- 2:01Speaker 1: destroy you. You cannot do this. But let me put
- 2:04Speaker 1: it in comparing contrast to where we are right now.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Joe Biden hasn't even talked to the governors. You heard me, right,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Joe Biden hadn't even talked to the governors. From what
- 2:14Speaker 1: we've been told from the White House in the states
- 2:17Speaker 1: affected by the storms. You want to know what the
- 2:20Speaker 1: media has been doing. Let me give you some headlines.
- 2:23Speaker 1: CNN Politics. This is their headline during this crisis down
- 2:28Speaker 1: in the South. Quote inside the new Presence Routine, Oval
- 2:34Speaker 1: office fires and early bedtimes by Kevin Laptac. Yeah, they
- 2:41Speaker 1: did that article in the evening February the sixteenth. I'll
- 2:47Speaker 1: read you the headline again, inside the new Presence Routine,
- 2:51Speaker 1: the oh office fires and early bedtimes. That's what they
- 2:54Speaker 1: were reporting on. So when they start telling you that
- 2:56Speaker 1: you should be outraged over what's happening with Ted Cruz
- 2:59Speaker 1: flying down there, By the way it came, he came
- 3:01Speaker 1: back in less than twenty hours from dropping his family
- 3:03Speaker 1: off in Mexico. And again I'm not saying it was
- 3:06Speaker 1: a right decision. It was a bad pr move. But
- 3:10Speaker 1: if you think the media isn't this isn't just about
- 3:13Speaker 1: trying to hurt at conservative and the fake outrage, here's
- 3:16Speaker 1: proof it. Let me also remind you that while this
- 3:19Speaker 1: article from CNN Politics is being written quote inside their
- 3:23Speaker 1: headline inside the new Presence Routine, Oval office fires, and
- 3:26Speaker 1: early bedtimes. Let me remind you of one other thing
- 3:29Speaker 1: about the media. You want to know what else they're
- 3:33Speaker 1: not covering right now. They're not covering the massive fallout
- 3:37Speaker 1: in pure corruption and now an FBI investigation to the
- 3:40Speaker 1: governor of New York. They're not covering Governor Quomo. They're
- 3:44Speaker 1: doing everything they can to act like that didn't happen,
- 3:47Speaker 1: where thousands of seniors died because of a decision from
- 3:52Speaker 1: the governor and his staff, and then they lied about
- 3:55Speaker 1: the number of people that died, and then they lied
- 3:57Speaker 1: about the cover up, and now there's a federal an
- 3:59Speaker 1: FBI investigation into that cover up. You also have the
- 4:03Speaker 1: governor threatening other Democrats who have now come out and said, Hey,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was threatened by the governor that if I didn't
- 4:09Speaker 1: do what he told me to do to help cover
- 4:11Speaker 1: this up, that he would ruin me, he would come
- 4:12Speaker 1: after me. My wife didn't sleep at night when democrat
- 4:15Speaker 1: said because of the threat from the governor. Let me
- 4:18Speaker 1: give you another headline this week from what the media
- 4:22Speaker 1: was covering instead of covering an actual crisis with a
- 4:26Speaker 1: governor of New York and instead, of course, they'll give
- 4:29Speaker 1: you a fake crisis with Ted Cruz. Newsweek's headline, ready
- 4:33Speaker 1: for this, Joe Biden playing as Luigi wins in Mario
- 4:40Speaker 1: kart race against granddaughter at Camp David. This is a
- 4:46Speaker 1: real headline, while you actually have a massive scandal that
- 4:52Speaker 1: has taken place in upstate New York where people died. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: where people died again, Joe Biden playing as Luigi wins
- 5:04Speaker 1: in Mario kart race against granddaughter at Camp David. So
- 5:07Speaker 1: you got Joe Biden, who was hanging out at Camp
- 5:10Speaker 1: David during all this, doesn't even have time to talk
- 5:12Speaker 1: to the governors and states affected by the cold. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: instead of all this, okay, instead of instead of all
- 5:19Speaker 1: of this, right, instead of all of this, they want
- 5:23Speaker 1: to come after Ted Cruz or gett on a plane.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I'll say it one more time. It's not a right
- 5:28Speaker 1: decision for him to go down there. It was a
- 5:31Speaker 1: bad pr move. But these are real stories that they're
- 5:34Speaker 1: not actually talking about. You want, you want to know
- 5:37Speaker 1: about something else, a big story, a massive story that
- 5:40Speaker 1: has not been covered over the last twenty four hours,
- 5:43Speaker 1: while of course they're covering everything about Ted Cruz's flight
- 5:45Speaker 1: manifested he get an upgrade on the flight, his name's
- 5:48Speaker 1: on the board to get an update on the flight.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I mean, this is all there, Okay, this is this
- 5:52Speaker 1: is all there. Joe Biden was in a town hall
- 6:01Speaker 1: on CNN, and Joe Biden came out and said in
- 6:04Speaker 1: a town hall, which by the way, was a total
- 6:06Speaker 1: disaster that no one's reported on the guy. It was
- 6:09Speaker 1: like he didn't know what was going on, and they
- 6:12Speaker 1: were softball questions. They didn't even ask him a single
- 6:14Speaker 1: question about Governor Cuomo New York. Not a single question
- 6:17Speaker 1: from CNN's Anderson Cooper to him about the controversy and
- 6:21Speaker 1: the seniors that died and Governor Cuomo, not a single question.
- 6:28Speaker 1: He kind of came out with something big, something that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: not being reported because they know it's going to be
- 6:33Speaker 1: unpopular with the American people. Right now, while unemployment claims
- 6:36Speaker 1: skyrocketed last week, first time une claims went through the roof,
- 6:41Speaker 1: So as Joe Biden trying to protect your job, no
- 6:43Speaker 1: is he trying to bring your jobs back. No is
- 6:45Speaker 1: he trying to make sure that you're okay. No. In fact,
- 6:48Speaker 1: this is what he said. He said, I want a
- 6:50Speaker 1: pathway to citizenship for eleven million undocumented immigrants in this country.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So while you're competing to find your next job and
- 7:00Speaker 1: many of you are out okay, many of you are
- 7:04Speaker 1: out of work, are under employed. Joe Biden says, I
- 7:09Speaker 1: want you to compete with eleven million new people who
- 7:11Speaker 1: I want to give citizenship to. And the only reason
- 7:13Speaker 1: why it is because he wants them to vote for him.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Take a listen to this massive news at this town hall,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and it is massive. Let me ask about a qurtion
- 7:22Speaker 1: which does often divide many people in this country. Immigration.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Your administration along with quick congressional Democrats. Democrats expected to
- 7:31Speaker 1: unvail an immigration reform bill just this week. You want
- 7:34Speaker 1: a pathway to citizenship for the roughly eleven million undocumented immigrants.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Would you sign any immigration bill if it did not
- 7:41Speaker 1: include that a pathway for the roughly eleven million on. Yeah,
- 7:44Speaker 1: there's a whole range of things that relate to immigration,
- 7:48Speaker 1: including the whole idea how you deal with You know
- 7:53Speaker 1: what confuses people is you talk about refugees, you talk
- 7:59Speaker 1: about undocumented, you talk about people who are seeking asylum,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and you talk about people who are coming from the
- 8:10Speaker 1: that are coming from camps around being held around the world.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And there are four different criteria for being able to
- 8:17Speaker 1: come to the United States. The vast majority of the
- 8:21Speaker 1: people that was eleven million undocumented. They're they're not Hispanics.
- 8:25Speaker 1: There are people who came on the visa, was able
- 8:27Speaker 1: to buy a ticket to get into plane and didn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: go home. They didn't come across the rio grand and swimming.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Excuse me and sorry, see Irish and me. But all
- 8:39Speaker 1: kildn't decide. So so there there there are a lot
- 8:43Speaker 1: of things that relay, but I think that we can
- 8:47Speaker 1: no longer. Look, I think he knows how confused he is.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm not trying to be mean, but this guy can't
- 8:52Speaker 1: even get I want you to listen to this last
- 8:54Speaker 1: sentence here. I want you to hear Listen to the
- 8:57Speaker 1: last part where he says, look here, that's his reset
- 8:59Speaker 1: if I can't remember what I'm talking about. This is
- 9:01Speaker 1: the guy, by the way, who's running our country. There
- 9:03Speaker 1: was another another headline this week that has been not reported,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and that is the fact that we're now being told
- 9:10Speaker 1: that the Vice president, Kamala Harris is actually the one.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You ready for this, Kamala Harris is actually the one.
- 9:19Speaker 1: She is actually the one making phone calls with foreign
- 9:22Speaker 1: leaders on behalf of Joe Biden, on behalf of Joe Biden.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Anybody want to talk about that kind of a big deal,
- 9:30Speaker 1: President Knights, it's America not taking phone calls, not calling
- 9:33Speaker 1: the governors down that dealing with the power outages and
- 9:36Speaker 1: the winter storm and the water outages and people that
- 9:39Speaker 1: have died because of the storm, not even taking their
- 9:41Speaker 1: phone calls. Farming that out to a low level person
- 9:45Speaker 1: below him, that they confirm that by the way, at
- 9:48Speaker 1: the White House, at the White House press briefing, Yes,
- 9:50Speaker 1: he's not spoken to the governor's down there, but but
- 9:52Speaker 1: somebody beneath him did. But I want you again listen
- 9:56Speaker 1: to the words coming out of the mouth of Joe
- 9:58Speaker 1: Biden and listen to how he just cannot get his
- 10:02Speaker 1: head around what he's even talking about. And he's the
- 10:04Speaker 1: one that's selling you on the eleven million Americans are
- 10:07Speaker 1: excusing me, eleven million undocumented immigrants, as he puts it,
- 10:11Speaker 1: he said, americans who deserves citizenship. I reshing me, but
- 10:16Speaker 1: all kildn't decide. So so there there are a lot
- 10:20Speaker 1: of things that relay, but I think that we can
- 10:23Speaker 1: no longer. Look, you've heard I'm even if you're not
- 10:27Speaker 1: involved in politics at all. You've probably heard me say
- 10:29Speaker 1: this a thousand times. A matter of that, everyone is
- 10:36Speaker 1: entitled to be treated with decency, with dignity. Everyone is
- 10:41Speaker 1: entitled for that to that and we don't do that now.
- 10:45Speaker 1: For the first time in American history, if you're seeking asylum,
- 10:49Speaker 1: meaning you're being persecuted, you're seeking asylum, you can't do
- 10:54Speaker 1: it from the United States. Used to come have an
- 10:56Speaker 1: asylum officer determined whether or not you've met the criteria
- 11:00Speaker 1: to send you back if you in fact, but you
- 11:02Speaker 1: can't even do that. You got to seek asylum from abroad.
- 11:06Speaker 1: But just to be clear though, by the way, you
- 11:07Speaker 1: want to know why we did that, and Joe Biden's
- 11:10Speaker 1: smart enough to know why we did that. Okay, The
- 11:12Speaker 1: reason why we did that is because everybody they were told,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and their family and friends that got into this country,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and the coyotes that you pay to bring you to
- 11:24Speaker 1: this country illegally, they would give you a script and
- 11:29Speaker 1: they would tell you everything that you need to say.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They would tell you everything that you must say, right,
- 11:37Speaker 1: that's what they would do. They would tell you all
- 11:40Speaker 1: of it, and they would say, this is what you
- 11:42Speaker 1: need to say to hit the criteria, this is how
- 11:45Speaker 1: you need to say it to hit the criteria. This
- 11:47Speaker 1: is what you've got to say to make sure that
- 11:49Speaker 1: you hit and check all the boxes. That's why, Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: that is a simple reason why we stopped allowing it.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Because the system was broken and we realized it was
- 12:05Speaker 1: nothing but a massive loophole, that's all. It was a
- 12:10Speaker 1: massive loophole for those to come into this country and
- 12:14Speaker 1: to tell us tell a lie, right, to tell a
- 12:17Speaker 1: BS story that was just in fact not true, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: they were exploiting it, and they exploit it for years
- 12:26Speaker 1: under the eight years under the Obama Biden administration. So
- 12:29Speaker 1: when Donald Trump came in, they said, look, we got
- 12:32Speaker 1: we gotta fix this, right, like, this is something that
- 12:33Speaker 1: we have to fix. If we don't fix it, we're
- 12:37Speaker 1: gonna have some real problems, right if we don't fix it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We got some we got some real issues here if
- 12:44Speaker 1: we don't change this, if we don't alter this, if
- 12:48Speaker 1: we don't this is this is clearly broken and we
- 12:51Speaker 1: gotta fix it. There is clearly a problem here and
- 12:56Speaker 1: we need to fix it. And that is exactly what
- 12:59Speaker 1: we did. In now Joe Biden's like, oh no, you gotta,
- 13:02Speaker 1: we gotta give them a pathway to citizenship. Why now,
- 13:05Speaker 1: whose team are you on? We know whose team the
- 13:09Speaker 1: media is on. How they're writing articles with headlines inside
- 13:11Speaker 1: the new presence, routine, ov office fires and early bedtimes.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Another one news with Joe Biden playing Luigi Mario Kart
- 13:18Speaker 1: Mario Luigi right Nintendo. When's a Mario Kart race against
- 13:22Speaker 1: grandaughter at Camp David? This, I mean, the media under
- 13:25Speaker 1: Biden is absolutely pathetic, absolutely pathetic. But this is what
- 13:35Speaker 1: they're doing. This is what they're selling. This is how
- 13:38Speaker 1: they're doing it. This is how they are doing it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Biden trying to finish up selling this plan of eleven
- 13:52Speaker 1: million Americans, as he calls them. I'm not he is.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I want to make that very clear. He says, just
- 14:00Speaker 1: go ahead and give them the paperwork, right, just just
- 14:02Speaker 1: give them, just give them the paperwork. Just do it.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Go ahead, give them the paperwork. They deserve it. Why
- 14:11Speaker 1: do they deserve it? Why? Now? It's because he needs
- 14:14Speaker 1: them to vote for him. That's why he needs them
- 14:20Speaker 1: to vote for them. That's why he needs illegal immigrants.
- 14:27Speaker 1: There is no reason why anyone should be in favor
- 14:31Speaker 1: of this, especially now when the economy is reeling from
- 14:35Speaker 1: COVID nineteen and people losing their jobs. I mean, even
- 14:40Speaker 1: if you said, is this the right time to do this,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm talking about from a liberal perspective. Any liberal that
- 14:45Speaker 1: I would think has a brain would immediately say, no,
- 14:49Speaker 1: this is not okay, this is not the time. We
- 14:54Speaker 1: can't we can't sell this to the American people. Now.
- 14:56Speaker 1: If you want to do this, do it when there's
- 14:58Speaker 1: low unemployment and people say, well, they're not really competing
- 15:01Speaker 1: for jobs, and later on they will be, but right
- 15:02Speaker 1: now they're not. That's what you do. You do it then,
- 15:07Speaker 1: not now. Now is not the time to do it.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You do it later. And I know you're going to
- 15:17Speaker 1: be announcing stuff later this week, or that's why I've
- 15:20Speaker 1: heard you do want a pathway to citizenship for roughly
- 15:24Speaker 1: eleven million undocumented immigrants and that would be essential in
- 15:27Speaker 1: any bill for you. Well, yes, but by the way,
- 15:31Speaker 1: if you came along and said to me, in the meantime,
- 15:34Speaker 1: we can work out a system whereby we're going to
- 15:38Speaker 1: For example, we used to allow refugees one hundred and
- 15:42Speaker 1: twenty five thousand refugees in the United States in a
- 15:46Speaker 1: yearly basis was as high as two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Trump cut it to five thousand. Come with me and
- 15:53Speaker 1: just sare leone. Come with me in departs of Lebanon.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Come with me around the world and see people piled
- 16:00Speaker 1: up in camps, kids dying, no way out, refugees fleeing
- 16:06Speaker 1: from persecution. We the United States, by the way, this
- 16:10Speaker 1: is this is part of the lie. And that's why
- 16:13Speaker 1: I want to play it for you. The eleven million
- 16:16Speaker 1: people that he's wanted to give a pathway to citizenship for,
- 16:21Speaker 1: they're not from the places he just mentioned. Nine of
- 16:25Speaker 1: them are coming across the border from Mexico. The idea
- 16:29Speaker 1: that they're coming from all of these war torn areas
- 16:32Speaker 1: and civil war areas and civil unrest areas in the
- 16:36Speaker 1: world that he just described saying, go to these camps,
- 16:39Speaker 1: look at them, people are They're not coming from there.
- 16:42Speaker 1: The majority of people that you want to give citizenship
- 16:46Speaker 1: are just people that said, screwed. I like America. I
- 16:50Speaker 1: mean go to Mexico, not to the resort. Drive outside
- 16:52Speaker 1: of the resort. If you've ever done that, which I have,
- 16:56Speaker 1: you'll understand why so many people want to come to America.
- 16:58Speaker 1: America is the greatest country in the ward. I don't
- 17:00Speaker 1: blame them. What I do blame is us being stupid enough. Right,
- 17:05Speaker 1: What I blame them is us being dumb enough, us
- 17:10Speaker 1: being incompetent enough to allow it to happen. That's what
- 17:13Speaker 1: I do blame. By the way, I blame, I blame
- 17:17Speaker 1: us for even thinking that this is a good idea.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I blame us for even thinking that this is something
- 17:26Speaker 1: that we should do. That's who I blame. That's what
- 17:31Speaker 1: I blame. And Joe Biden sitting there going, Yep, we're
- 17:36Speaker 1: gonna we gotta let these people in from these war
- 17:39Speaker 1: to torn areas in the Middle East and all these
- 17:42Speaker 1: people that are suffering and go around the world. The
- 17:45Speaker 1: eleven Milli're gonna give it to is gonna be from Mexico.
- 17:49Speaker 1: That's not war torn. They have corruption down there, and
- 17:54Speaker 1: I would argue it's their country and they need to
- 17:56Speaker 1: fix it, and maybe they need to fight and maybe
- 17:58Speaker 1: they need to go to war with a cartel, Maybe
- 18:01Speaker 1: they need to fight back, maybe they take back their country.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Now that we can debate, Okay, that we can argue
- 18:07Speaker 1: about that, we can have a conversation about. I'm cool
- 18:13Speaker 1: with that, folks. I am totally okay with that. What
- 18:20Speaker 1: I am not okay with this bs that all these
- 18:22Speaker 1: people are coming from all these countries where he claims
- 18:24Speaker 1: are suffering, when the majority of people he is about
- 18:26Speaker 1: to give citizenship from are not from there, And you're
- 18:28Speaker 1: using somebody else's pain and agony to justify a terrible
- 18:33Speaker 1: decision that only helps your bottom line with future voters,
- 18:37Speaker 1: not the American people, kids dying, no way out, refugees
- 18:44Speaker 1: fleeing from persecution. We the United States used to do
- 18:48Speaker 1: our part. We were part of that. We're and you
- 18:53Speaker 1: know that's you know, send me your hotal masses come on.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And so I would if you had a refugee. Bill
- 18:59Speaker 1: bides self. I'm not suggesting that, but I would. There's
- 19:02Speaker 1: things that I would deal by itself, but not at
- 19:05Speaker 1: the expense of saying I'm never going to do the other.
- 19:08Speaker 1: There is a reasonable path to citizenship, and it shows
- 19:13Speaker 1: up one of the reasons why we have been able
- 19:15Speaker 1: to compete with the rest of the world so well
- 19:18Speaker 1: is most of our major competitors xenophobic. You remember quite
- 19:22Speaker 1: I remember you questioned me when I came back from China,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and I said, I predict I love this We're going
- 19:30Speaker 1: to throw in the xenophobic part there, because why not, right,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I mean, if we're going to do this, let's go
- 19:35Speaker 1: all in. Let's tell everybody the reason why we're doing this,
- 19:38Speaker 1: because we're trying to save people's lives and that's how
- 19:40Speaker 1: this works. And there's these people that are sitting there
- 19:42Speaker 1: and they're dying. Yeah, that there, it is, That's easy.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Let's just let's just do it. Let's talk about, by
- 19:55Speaker 1: the way, human rights abuses for a second. You know
- 19:57Speaker 1: something else that's changed, which is really interesting. Joe Biden
- 20:01Speaker 1: is not going to have any type of repercussions or recourse.
- 20:06Speaker 1: We've been told for China and they're human rights abuses
- 20:11Speaker 1: not gonna happen. So which one is it? Are you
- 20:13Speaker 1: going to bring in all these people from around the
- 20:14Speaker 1: world but China you're not gonna call him out? Right?
- 20:18Speaker 1: I mean, are you're not gonna call him out? Which
- 20:23Speaker 1: one is it? I'm just I'm curious here, I'm genuinely
- 20:27Speaker 1: curious which one isn't We have real problems in this
- 20:33Speaker 1: country right now, and this guy's trying to bring in
- 20:35Speaker 1: eleven million more. Look look at the California school board
- 20:40Speaker 1: members mocking parents in a new video that they want
- 20:43Speaker 1: their babysitters back. And then now we have Joe Biden
- 20:47Speaker 1: who's even backtrack on his return to the School Plan,
- 20:50Speaker 1: which he said he was going to implement to get
- 20:51Speaker 1: kids back to school. How many kids are dying at home?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Now we know the numbers, they're not good. We know
- 20:57Speaker 1: that kids are committing suicide at rates we haven't seen
- 20:59Speaker 1: in death kids. We know that kids are being abused
- 21:04Speaker 1: at home, and we have no way to find out
- 21:06Speaker 1: how if they're being abused at home because they're not
- 21:09Speaker 1: going to school. We know that kids are not getting
- 21:11Speaker 1: fed the way that they need to be being fed,
- 21:13Speaker 1: many of them because schools are out that that's where
- 21:20Speaker 1: we are. And you look at Kamala Harris, she was,
- 21:26Speaker 1: you know, giving her given the easy questions from the
- 21:29Speaker 1: Today's Show. She starts stammering when asked about biden shifting
- 21:32Speaker 1: standard on school openings. So let's let's let's take care
- 21:36Speaker 1: of all the kids in the world, but let's not
- 21:37Speaker 1: take care of our own kids. Let's take care of
- 21:39Speaker 1: the illegal immigrants, but not our own American kids. Let's
- 21:42Speaker 1: let's get our schools back open. But then when the
- 21:44Speaker 1: unions say no, because this is all about unions. It's
- 21:48Speaker 1: all about the union workers. This is not about what's
- 21:49Speaker 1: good for the kids. You wander why all the private
- 21:51Speaker 1: schools are open, because there's direct accountability from the people
- 21:54Speaker 1: that pay pay the bill. You wonder why the private
- 21:58Speaker 1: universities are open. You wander why the private schools are
- 22:00Speaker 1: open because they cannot afford to miss those paychecks because
- 22:03Speaker 1: then they're out of work. And so they figured out
- 22:05Speaker 1: a way to do it, and they didn't spend hundreds
- 22:07Speaker 1: of millions of dollars preparing their classrooms the way that
- 22:12Speaker 1: now the government's demand that they're talking about like half
- 22:15Speaker 1: half a billion dollars in funding to quote get the
- 22:18Speaker 1: classrooms ready. How the private schools afford it and do
- 22:22Speaker 1: it because the tuition prices did not go up. Private
- 22:27Speaker 1: schools at every age group we're talking about pre k kindergarten,
- 22:31Speaker 1: middle school, high school, colleges are all open because they
- 22:35Speaker 1: knew that if they didn't open, they didn't get paid,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and they figured out a way to do it in
- 22:39Speaker 1: a safe manner, and they didn't spend billions of dollars
- 22:42Speaker 1: getting their classrooms ready. They made normal precautions the way
- 22:45Speaker 1: they should but the unions, they're like, screw this, we
- 22:49Speaker 1: can just teach them home. This is we never have
- 22:52Speaker 1: to go back to work again until everybody gets vaccinated.
- 22:55Speaker 1: And then we say we need hazard pay, and then
- 22:57Speaker 1: we say we're some sort of victim. Everybody else is
- 22:59Speaker 1: going to work, right All these other workers at grocery stores,
- 23:03Speaker 1: fast food restaurants, everything that's open out there that you're
- 23:07Speaker 1: going to, that they'll go to. Those people aren't screaming
- 23:10Speaker 1: I need more money and how dare you try to
- 23:13Speaker 1: kill me? But the unions are. But this is the
- 23:18Speaker 1: Democratic Party right now. Last week, eight hundred and sixty
- 23:21Speaker 1: one thousand Americans filed for unemployment. Let that number sink in.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Eight hundred and sixty one thousand Americans file for unemployment.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And right now Joe Biden and the Democrats are introducing
- 23:31Speaker 1: a bill give me eleven million illegal immigrant citizenship. And
- 23:34Speaker 1: they're backtracking on putting our kids back in school. And
- 23:39Speaker 1: the Vice President Harris stammering, when asked about his shifting standards,
- 23:42Speaker 1: take a list of this crap distance and make sure
- 23:45Speaker 1: you wash your hands and do that frequently. Let's talk
- 23:48Speaker 1: about schools. We got a lot of parents watching, right
- 23:51Speaker 1: now maybe with their kids right next to them because
- 23:53Speaker 1: they're not going to school. The CDC a few days
- 23:56Speaker 1: ago finally put out some long awaited guide on how
- 24:00Speaker 1: schools could safely reopen. But here's the thing. They tied
- 24:04Speaker 1: it directly to the rate of infection in any given community.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And I'm going to put a map up because if
- 24:10Speaker 1: schools were to follow that right now, ninety percent of
- 24:14Speaker 1: the counties, ninety percent of the schools would not be
- 24:17Speaker 1: able to open under the CDC's own metric. Wasn't a
- 24:21Speaker 1: mistake for the CDC to connect school reopening to how
- 24:26Speaker 1: much infection there is in a community. Well, let's first
- 24:30Speaker 1: say this that in the last four weeks, schools are opening.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Every week, more schools are opening, and it is because
- 24:37Speaker 1: we are supplementing what needs to happen around the vaccinations
- 24:40Speaker 1: getting two states, but also because folks are We're seeing
- 24:45Speaker 1: progress when folks are wearing masks, when they're getting vaccinated,
- 24:49Speaker 1: when they're social distancing, we're seeing progress there. But we
- 24:52Speaker 1: all want the schools to reopen, Savannah, all of us
- 24:54Speaker 1: who have children in our lives. They want to go
- 24:57Speaker 1: back to school. We want them to go back to school.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Teachers want to teach. What about that CDC guidance? Then
- 25:02Speaker 1: that's the question, because the CDC is saying, essentially their
- 25:06Speaker 1: best guidance is don't open if you're in a red zone.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Ninety percent of students are in a red zone. And
- 25:13Speaker 1: the science is very clear. The CDC's own science says
- 25:17Speaker 1: schools are not a source of community risk. Well, so
- 25:21Speaker 1: here's the thing. What the CDC, what they have recommended,
- 25:25Speaker 1: are exactly that recommendations about how to reopen safely if
- 25:29Speaker 1: they've been closed, how to stay open if they've been opened,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and so the recommendations include what again needs to happen
- 25:36Speaker 1: around social distancing, handwashing, mask wearing. But the point is
- 25:40Speaker 1: that we all want our kids to get back to
- 25:42Speaker 1: school as quickly as possible and as safely as possible.
- 25:46Speaker 1: There has been a shifting timeline here. Back on December eighth,
- 25:49Speaker 1: the President, then President elect tweeted, we want to reopen
- 25:53Speaker 1: the majority of schools in the first one hundred days.
- 25:55Speaker 1: He later said that day, we want to have most
- 25:57Speaker 1: schools open. Now he said it's as last night, he's
- 26:01Speaker 1: talking about the majority of K through eight schools. Last
- 26:05Speaker 1: week we heard a White House officials saying open means
- 26:08Speaker 1: it could mean just one day a week open. The
- 26:10Speaker 1: President said no, that was a miscommunication. But I mean,
- 26:13Speaker 1: I guess, look again, parents watching, What is the bottom line?
- 26:16Speaker 1: What is it now for schools to be reopened and
- 26:18Speaker 1: how soon can they be reopened? So our goal is
- 26:23Speaker 1: that as many K through eight schools as possible will
- 26:27Speaker 1: reopen as within the first one hundred days. Our goal
- 26:31Speaker 1: is that it will be five days a week, and
- 26:33Speaker 1: so we have to work to achieve that goal. But
- 26:35Speaker 1: our goal is the goal of parents. And I mean,
- 26:37Speaker 1: here's the thing, Savannah, I don't need to tell you
- 26:40Speaker 1: we are. The issue here is not just about statistics.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It's about our kids, it's about their parents. It's about
- 26:48Speaker 1: the fact that every day our kids are missing essential
- 26:52Speaker 1: critical days and they're education. I love how she then
- 26:55Speaker 1: all of a sudden acts like she's going on the
- 26:57Speaker 1: offense for these kids. The only reason why these kids
- 27:00Speaker 1: are not back in the school right now is because
- 27:02Speaker 1: Kamala Harris and the Democrats have said, okay, unions will
- 27:06Speaker 1: let you make the call, and the union said, screw
- 27:08Speaker 1: the kids, and we're gonna get paid and we don't
- 27:10Speaker 1: have to worry about losing our customer base because it's
- 27:12Speaker 1: a public school system, which is exactly why the public
- 27:14Speaker 1: school system is broken. The public school system is broken
- 27:20Speaker 1: because it's not about what's best for the kids. We
- 27:22Speaker 1: socially promote kids, we fail kids, and we move them
- 27:26Speaker 1: forward anyway. Kids come out of school in a seventh
- 27:29Speaker 1: and sixth grade reading level. When they graduate high school.
- 27:33Speaker 1: There is zero accountability because it's run by the liberals
- 27:37Speaker 1: and the schools are run by Democrats, and they're not
- 27:43Speaker 1: run for what's best for the kids. There's no accountability.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Teachers don't get fired in the public school system. Teachers
- 27:51Speaker 1: are protected even when they do the most stupid and
- 27:53Speaker 1: egregious things. They don't get fired. Though. We don't fire
- 27:59Speaker 1: public school teacher year. Private school teachers we fire all
- 28:02Speaker 1: the time. You're not getting done, it's over right, you're
- 28:06Speaker 1: not getting it done. It's then bye bye. Because there's
- 28:11Speaker 1: actual accountability if your kids fall behind. What happens if
- 28:18Speaker 1: kids fall behind, and you can see it, there is
- 28:20Speaker 1: accountability immediately. So this year is a forgotten year. This
- 28:25Speaker 1: year is not a year of educating our kids in
- 28:27Speaker 1: the public schools, private schools. And I want you to
- 28:29Speaker 1: think about the have and have nots. Here, seriously, listen
- 28:32Speaker 1: to me. Think about all the private school kids where
- 28:36Speaker 1: parents made sacrifices to get their kids in private school.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Think about all the private school kids that got a
- 28:41Speaker 1: full year of education that now we're going to beat
- 28:43Speaker 1: the living crap out of the public school kids that
- 28:45Speaker 1: got nothing. Think about the have and have nots here,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and how many kids lives are gonna be changed forever
- 28:51Speaker 1: because their SAT and ACT scores are gonna are gonna
- 28:53Speaker 1: dive bomb because an entire year of school they missed.
- 28:57Speaker 1: But we said it happened, and it really did. These teachers,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm tired of them saying that they care
- 29:06Speaker 1: about the kids. They don't because the unions. If the
- 29:09Speaker 1: teachers care, they'd fight. The unions say no, we're going
- 29:11Speaker 1: back to school school district by school district. That's what
- 29:13Speaker 1: they would do, and they're not doing it. And the
- 29:15Speaker 1: reason why is very clear. The reason why they're not
- 29:19Speaker 1: doing that is because it's too easy to get a
- 29:21Speaker 1: fat paycheck and stay at home. Because there's no accountability
- 29:25Speaker 1: and you don't have to listen to anyone. No one
- 29:30Speaker 1: is going to fire you. You don't worry that you're
- 29:35Speaker 1: going to lose your job because you don't show up,
- 29:40Speaker 1: not worried about it, because not showing up, refusing to
- 29:46Speaker 1: come back to work in the private schools, You're gone.
- 29:50Speaker 1: You are gone, Make no mistake about it. You are gone.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It is over public schools. Let's go. This is a
- 29:59Speaker 1: whole year we've missed, folks. It's a whole year that
- 30:02Speaker 1: these teachers in these unions are getting paid their salaries,
- 30:06Speaker 1: many of them getting raises during the last year, to
- 30:09Speaker 1: not educate our kids, to not educate them. And Kamala
- 30:18Speaker 1: Harris out there, Ramb went on. Then she tries to
- 30:20Speaker 1: go on the offensive. Well, I'm here to fight for
- 30:21Speaker 1: the kids. Well, if you are, then why aren't you
- 30:24Speaker 1: demanding that these kids get back in school. Why aren't
- 30:28Speaker 1: you demanding it? Vocational development? You know, we know we
- 30:33Speaker 1: have worked on this issue for years around the fact
- 30:36Speaker 1: that you know, by the end of third grade, if
- 30:37Speaker 1: a child is not at third grade reading level, they
- 30:40Speaker 1: literally drop off. So each day in the lifehood child
- 30:43Speaker 1: is a very long time. And that's why, right, and
- 30:46Speaker 1: that's why we've we've got it collectively and do everything
- 30:50Speaker 1: in our power to reopen our schools as quickly as
- 30:53Speaker 1: possible and as safely as possible. A lot of public
- 30:55Speaker 1: health officials will say this closing schools is as much
- 30:58Speaker 1: of a public health crisis for all the reasons you mentioned.
- 31:00Speaker 1: A final point on this before we move on. You know,
- 31:02Speaker 1: the CDC has said it is not a prerequisite for
- 31:06Speaker 1: teachers to be vaccinated for them to go back to school.
- 31:09Speaker 1: But many teachers are wary of going back to school,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and we've had some cities have to sue the teachers
- 31:15Speaker 1: union or sue their own school districts to try to
- 31:17Speaker 1: get these schools to reopen. Can you reassure teachers who
- 31:21Speaker 1: are listening right now that it is safe for them
- 31:23Speaker 1: to go back to school even if they are not vaccinated,
- 31:27Speaker 1: if these public health measures like distancing and masks are
- 31:29Speaker 1: being implemented. So, first of all, let me just say this,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and the President has said it, and we're all really clear.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Teachers should be a priority. Teachers should be a priority. Look,
- 31:39Speaker 1: let me just tell you something. I love teachers. My
- 31:41Speaker 1: first grade teacher, Missus Francis Wilson, attended my law school graduation.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Teachers are critical to our children's development. They should be
- 31:48Speaker 1: able to teach it a safe place and expand the
- 31:50Speaker 1: minds and the opportunities of our children. So teachers should
- 31:53Speaker 1: be a priority along with other frontline workers, and we're
- 31:56Speaker 1: going to make them a priority. I believe that twenty
- 31:59Speaker 1: two dates I believe have prioritized is it's safe for them? Well,
- 32:07Speaker 1: I think that we have to decide if we can
- 32:09Speaker 1: put in place safe measures. This is why, and it's
- 32:12Speaker 1: so important we pass the American Rescue Plan, the American
- 32:16Speaker 1: ROS Here it is here, it is Did you hear this?
- 32:19Speaker 1: Now here's my pitch for why I need more money
- 32:23Speaker 1: for the unions. She didn't answer the questions, and even
- 32:30Speaker 1: even NBC Samana Savannah Guthrie is actually asking some decent questions.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You're like, even if you had to sue the schools Union,
- 32:37Speaker 1: the teachers unions, they've had to sue them. Now listen
- 32:42Speaker 1: to this because this is all about the money. What
- 32:49Speaker 1: Kamala Harris is about to do is make the sales
- 32:51Speaker 1: pitch the American people. And the sales pitch is a
- 32:54Speaker 1: simple one. If you give us enough money, we'll go
- 32:57Speaker 1: back to school. But you got to give us a
- 32:59Speaker 1: hell of a lot of money for first. You got
- 33:01Speaker 1: to give us everything we demand because we're going to
- 33:04Speaker 1: get a better deal, for our bottom line, for our
- 33:06Speaker 1: bank account, for our paychecks. This is not about the kids.
- 33:12Speaker 1: If you think it's about a kid, you're stupid. These
- 33:16Speaker 1: public school teachers are idiots. These public school teachers that
- 33:25Speaker 1: are not standing up for the kids. And don't don't
- 33:27Speaker 1: tell me there's a degree of separation. Okay, I'm tired
- 33:31Speaker 1: of that crap, I really really am. I'm sick and
- 33:34Speaker 1: tired of that bs. These teachers should be saying I'm
- 33:39Speaker 1: showing up for school and I'm gonna buck the system
- 33:42Speaker 1: and I'm gonna buck the union, but they're not, so
- 33:44Speaker 1: don't tell me. Well, you're ben, you're painting with two
- 33:46Speaker 1: brivate brush. Okay, well, then show up and work just
- 33:49Speaker 1: like the private schools are. Show up and work like
- 33:53Speaker 1: every other American has been doing during this crisis, because
- 33:56Speaker 1: we know that if you keep calling in saying I
- 33:58Speaker 1: can't come in, I'm too afraid, I can't come in,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I'm do afraid, I can't come in, I'm do afraid,
- 34:02Speaker 1: at some point they're gonna say, don't come in because
- 34:04Speaker 1: you don't have a job. But this is not about
- 34:09Speaker 1: the kids. It's about the money. And now here's a
- 34:11Speaker 1: sales pitch from Kamala Harris. This is basically, we're holding
- 34:15Speaker 1: you hostage and your kids hostage, and their education, their
- 34:18Speaker 1: crappy education. We're giving them hostage until you do what
- 34:20Speaker 1: we tell you to do. The President and I have
- 34:23Speaker 1: proposed is a plan that is about getting our schools
- 34:27Speaker 1: back open. Why does this connect with what we're talking
- 34:29Speaker 1: about right now? It's gonna be safer for our schools
- 34:32Speaker 1: to reopen when we can get our schools the infrastructure needs,
- 34:36Speaker 1: like helping them with their ventilation systems, helping them create
- 34:39Speaker 1: social distancing with barriers, the things that are necessary to
- 34:44Speaker 1: get them back open and a safe I don't want
- 34:46Speaker 1: to want to beat it to death, but I just
- 34:48Speaker 1: I know their teachers listening, and the CDC has said
- 34:50Speaker 1: they don't have to be vaccinated to go back to school.
- 34:54Speaker 1: We think it should be a priority. We think they should.
- 34:56Speaker 1: We think they should be a priority. We think they
- 34:58Speaker 1: should be a priority, and the states are making to
- 35:00Speaker 1: as individually about where they will be on the list
- 35:02Speaker 1: of who gets vaccinated. I believe they should be a priority.
- 35:05Speaker 1: The President police, they should be a priority. Let's talk
- 35:07Speaker 1: that there. It is, so give us money and give
- 35:10Speaker 1: us all this crap that we want and then we'll
- 35:11Speaker 1: go back to school. Meanwhile, today, what was the media
- 35:14Speaker 1: focusing on Ted Cruz because he went and hung out
- 35:17Speaker 1: with his family. Yeah, writing articles about Mario Kart and
- 35:21Speaker 1: Luigi and the sleeping patterns of Joe Biden and how
- 35:26Speaker 1: he goes to bed early and has fires in the
- 35:29Speaker 1: Oval office. Yeah, that's what we're doing now, folks. That's
- 35:33Speaker 1: where we are. By the way, if you missed our
- 35:37Speaker 1: tribute to Russia Limball, the greatest server was in this business,
- 35:42Speaker 1: make sure you go backwards and grab our podcast from yesterday.
- 35:46Speaker 1: We talked about Rusia Limball. I talked about what an
- 35:50Speaker 1: impact he had on my career, some personal stories as well,
- 35:54Speaker 1: So make sure you do that on our podcast. Go backwards,
- 35:58Speaker 1: listen to that with Limball and I'll leave it at that.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Have a great day to be safe out there. I'll
- 36:02Speaker 1: see you back here tomorrow.
