- 2:07Speaker 2: me one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:11Speaker 2: one more time partner, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man.
- 2:17Speaker 2: How amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 2: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 2: just sit up and just just run a survey. Just
- 2:31Speaker 2: look at your life where it's at. That might not
- 2:34Speaker 2: be where you want it to be, but that's probably
- 2:35Speaker 2: some decisions you made. But really, though, in spite of
- 2:39Speaker 2: all the crazy mistakes I don't made, I mean, man,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I I I look back at some of the decisions
- 2:47Speaker 2: I done came up with, and man, it's it's it's
- 2:50Speaker 2: just amazing. He let me live. I mean, it's it's
- 2:53Speaker 2: and and and to exist the way I exist that's
- 2:56Speaker 2: nothing but grace, mercy, favor all that is. That's what
- 3:00Speaker 2: my mama praying for me when I wasn't praying for myself.
- 3:03Speaker 2: That had to be it, because, man, I can truly
- 3:06Speaker 2: tell you I have made enough mistakes man, stuff you
- 3:10Speaker 2: would never even know about, and recovered from them all
- 3:15Speaker 2: you can too, and I don't care what you've done.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Marvin Sap has a song out that says he saw
- 3:22Speaker 2: the best in me when everyone else around me could
- 3:26Speaker 2: only see the worst in me. You know that's an
- 3:30Speaker 2: important song man, especially you know. I want to talk
- 3:34Speaker 2: to men today because man, being a man is so
- 3:41Speaker 2: so difficult. Please know it has been my quest ever
- 3:47Speaker 2: since I was a little boy. My father had one ambition. Son,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I don't care what you do, but when I get
- 3:55Speaker 2: through raising you, you will be a man. That's all
- 3:58Speaker 2: I want you to be. Cad what I did for
- 4:00Speaker 2: a living, it never made a difference to him. You're
- 4:04Speaker 2: going to be a man. Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies,
- 4:07Speaker 2: just listening to this, I'm not saying womanhood ain't. I
- 4:11Speaker 2: don't know what it takes to be a woman, so
- 4:13Speaker 2: you know, but I do know exactly what it takes
- 4:16Speaker 2: to be a man. So you know, sometimes when you
- 4:19Speaker 2: talk to people on the radio, you have to preface
- 4:22Speaker 2: things because people are just going he trying to make
- 4:24Speaker 2: it look like womanhood. Ain't. No, That's not what I'm doing.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm just talking to men today to explain to them
- 4:30Speaker 2: that they ain't by theyself and struggling trying to figure
- 4:33Speaker 2: this thing out, that you are not alone in your
- 4:36Speaker 2: quest for manhood. That is difficult, I gotta tell you,
- 4:41Speaker 2: man manhood is that kind of difficult, and it becomes
- 4:46Speaker 2: even more compounded if a young boy does not have
- 4:50Speaker 2: a male role model. I've said it a thousand times.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I'll say it again. A young boy without a male
- 4:57Speaker 2: role model is like an explorer without a man. Apple. Well,
- 5:01Speaker 2: I have a suggestion for everybody that's struggling with manhood
- 5:04Speaker 2: and all of the men out there that are men.
- 5:07Speaker 2: This messages for all of us, and it's for me too.
- 5:10Speaker 5: You know.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I was listening to George Myers the other day and
- 5:14Speaker 2: she made a statement, she said, sometimes you got to
- 5:18Speaker 2: do the right thing, even when it feels wrong. You know,
- 5:22Speaker 2: one of the difficulties of manhood is peer pressure and
- 5:28Speaker 2: the misguided principles of manhood see what God wants us
- 5:34Speaker 2: to be as men and what we believe manhood is
- 5:39Speaker 2: is sometimes two different things. I'll give you an example.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I wrote this book for women, right and I was
- 5:45Speaker 2: telling them the three ways that a man shows his love,
- 5:49Speaker 2: and I call them three p's. We profess, we protect,
- 5:53Speaker 2: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 5:57Speaker 2: how he exhibits love. When I talking talk, he comforting
- 6:01Speaker 2: with our great nurturists. But when it comes down to it,
- 6:04Speaker 2: what we all want to do, what is in our DNA,
- 6:08Speaker 2: is to profess our love for something you as a woman,
- 6:11Speaker 2: to protect you as a woman, and to provide for
- 6:13Speaker 2: you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now, sometimes
- 6:16Speaker 2: that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:23Speaker 2: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:26Speaker 2: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:29Speaker 2: the protecting, and the providing part, and we misplay it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles.
- 6:39Speaker 2: What's the first thing a gang member do? He professed,
- 6:42Speaker 2: he claim a hood. That's the first thing you do.
- 6:45Speaker 2: This is my neighborhood. I'm deuce Trey, I'm triple hh,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm doop de doop, I'm purple, I'm red, I'm blue.
- 6:52Speaker 2: The first thing they do is claim that's professing. That's
- 6:55Speaker 2: how we show our love. But it's misguided though. Now
- 6:59Speaker 2: we prefer messing something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Your hood, your gang, your click. Now guess what Now
- 7:07Speaker 2: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:11Speaker 2: part of our love, here we go. You come down here,
- 7:15Speaker 2: We're gonna do this to you. You go over there,
- 7:17Speaker 2: they gonna do that to you. You protect your hood,
- 7:20Speaker 2: This your turf, this all you got. Ain't nobody coming
- 7:23Speaker 2: down here with blue on. Can't nobody come over here
- 7:25Speaker 2: with red on. You can't come over here with purple on.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You can't come over here with black and gold on.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And we and we protect that because that's in our DNA.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And then what's the third thing we provide? So guess
- 7:35Speaker 2: what the gang need money? Guess what we do. We
- 7:38Speaker 2: selling drugs, we're selling women, we're selling guns. It go
- 7:45Speaker 2: back to the same thing.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Man.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 7:48Speaker 2: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 7:50Speaker 2: it to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 7:53Speaker 2: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Guess what, Now that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's
- 7:58Speaker 2: off track. Ain't no man told you that. Really you're
- 8:01Speaker 2: supposed to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:07Speaker 2: not your gang set. Now you professing your hood, repping
- 8:12Speaker 2: the color, you protecting your territory, shooting people driving by,
- 8:15Speaker 2: coming over you on your street, and then you provide.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Now you're out here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:19Speaker 2: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:22Speaker 2: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Here's the deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:32Speaker 2: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:35Speaker 2: in him. That's why it's in your DNA to profess, protect,
- 8:39Speaker 2: and provide because guess what, that's what God do for us,
- 8:43Speaker 2: because we His children. I'm just talking to men right now.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I'm just telling you, man, I had to wake up
- 8:49Speaker 2: about five years ago. I wasn't doing what God wanted
- 8:53Speaker 2: me to do, and then he shook me. He said, man,
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna bring about some changes in your life. I'm
- 8:58Speaker 2: gonna cause some things to happen that's gonna put you
- 9:01Speaker 2: in a position. And this time you're gonna listen to me,
- 9:04Speaker 2: because if you don't, you're gonna keep living in this
- 9:07Speaker 2: pain you've been in. But you put yourself in this pain.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I owe no blame to no one else but myself. Please, no,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I know that. And that's how you really get to
- 9:16Speaker 2: manhood when you figure out what you didn done wrong.
- 9:19Speaker 2: You can't blame this on none of your exes because
- 9:21Speaker 2: you a man. You can't go my xd this, No, No,
- 9:24Speaker 2: you a man, partner. You got to take responsibility for
- 9:28Speaker 2: yours and yours alone. If you got kids, you got
- 9:31Speaker 2: to get to them some kind of way. Write them
- 9:34Speaker 2: a letter, send them the money. If she won't let
- 9:37Speaker 2: you see it, for the money, whatever, send the money
- 9:39Speaker 2: to a mama. Do what you're supposed to do as
- 9:41Speaker 2: a man. Do what God wants you to do, man,
- 9:44Speaker 2: because he's not letting us off the hook for what
- 9:47Speaker 2: we're supposed to be just because you ain't doing it.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And if you do it, you turn your life around.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Just holering that to fellas today, that's all sorry about that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Two.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I got that feeling. I got that feeling. Come on,
- 10:13Speaker 2: what is your feeling gratitude?
- 10:19Speaker 7: Ah?
- 10:20Speaker 2: I got that feeling of gratitude. That was Roscoe Wallace's
- 10:26Speaker 2: hit song in his early years, in his early years
- 10:30Speaker 2: before he developed the true soul for sound, that is
- 10:33Speaker 2: Roscoe Wallace. I got that feeling gratitude. That's what I
- 10:37Speaker 2: feel in the morning right now. So grateful. You should
- 10:41Speaker 2: be too. You have a lot to be grateful for, y'all,
- 10:43Speaker 2: you really do. If you take focus off of the
- 10:46Speaker 2: things you want and the things you don't have, you
- 10:49Speaker 2: will realize rather quickly that you have so many things
- 10:53Speaker 2: to be grateful for. Even when it's not going your way,
- 10:57Speaker 2: you got something to be grateful for. Even when you
- 11:00Speaker 2: you haven't accomplished all you had hoped and dreamed of,
- 11:03Speaker 2: there's still so many things to be grateful for. Please
- 11:06Speaker 2: don't forget that. That's the trick of the devil. The
- 11:09Speaker 2: devil tries to make you focus on what you don't
- 11:11Speaker 2: have and you still need, and you lose sight of
- 11:14Speaker 2: what your God has already done for you. Don't let
- 11:16Speaker 2: him trick you. Don't let the devil fool. You don't
- 11:23Speaker 2: let them change your mind.
- 11:27Speaker 7: The grass is greener on the other side, but don't
- 11:34Speaker 7: let you change your mind.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Man, I don't know where I got that from. They
- 11:39Speaker 2: used to sing that in my church. Well, Steve Harvard
- 11:43Speaker 2: Artis show Sheldy Strawberry call us off today. Mississippi Monica
- 11:47Speaker 2: is still sleeping Junior and the legend that is nephew
- 11:50Speaker 2: Tommy Junior. I'm gonna shave I think because I don't
- 11:54Speaker 2: want to discourage you. I've grown in seven days what
- 11:57Speaker 2: you've been trying to do and for the year. So
- 11:59Speaker 2: go ahead. Wow, hey, I won't go ahead. I'll go
- 12:05Speaker 2: cut this off man, because doing the tea seven days.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But you've been doing okay, You got that little chin
- 12:14Speaker 2: under you, got that little hair right up under your lip,
- 12:18Speaker 2: that little patch. Yeah, you ain't got that little tea.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Come on, boy, come through this man.
- 12:26Speaker 8: What's some of the worst advice you ever got up
- 12:28Speaker 8: that you never listened to? You're so glad you didn't
- 12:31Speaker 8: listen to.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Don't put all your eggs in one basket and have
- 12:36Speaker 2: always have a plan B. The two worst things I've
- 12:39Speaker 2: ever heard. Those two things will set you up for failure,
- 12:45Speaker 2: so quickly, don't put all your eggs in one basket.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And what was the other than I just said, always have,
- 12:55Speaker 2: always have a plan B. Man. Both of those prepare
- 12:58Speaker 2: you for failure. You shouldn't put all your eggs in
- 13:02Speaker 2: one basket unless your basket is filled and made with faith, prayer,
- 13:07Speaker 2: hard work, and your dreams. You got to put it
- 13:10Speaker 2: all in one your basket in one basket, because if
- 13:13Speaker 2: you don't give you a all to something, there's a
- 13:15Speaker 2: strong possibility you won't accomplish it. And number two, if
- 13:19Speaker 2: you have a plan B, you have to prepare the
- 13:21Speaker 2: plan B, which now means you're putting effort into B
- 13:24Speaker 2: and not everything into A. And everybody that get a
- 13:27Speaker 2: plan B always use that too. Two worst pieces of
- 13:30Speaker 2: advice I've ever gotten.
- 13:34Speaker 1: All Right, great advice, Steve.

- 15:54Speaker 5: so they, you know, the girl at the office gave me,
- 15:57Speaker 5: you know, because I don't want to move nowhere else.
- 15:59Speaker 5: But I can't be in room three sixteen. I gotta
- 16:02Speaker 5: be you know, just real superstitious, I know, but I
- 16:04Speaker 5: kind of got to have hold on God.
- 16:06Speaker 11: You say your name Vaughn. Yeah, yeah, I'm gone right
- 16:09Speaker 11: Ron And who gave you my number again.
- 16:12Speaker 5: One of the ladies at the least in office when
- 16:13Speaker 5: I was over there.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Who was it?
- 16:16Speaker 5: I can't really remember her name.
- 16:18Speaker 11: Man, Uh little well, listen, cut this and I'm gonna
- 16:23Speaker 11: tell you like this, man, don't comment you for nothing
- 16:25Speaker 11: like that.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Man.
- 16:25Speaker 11: Now, I ain't moving out of my apartment. Man, I've
- 16:27Speaker 11: been staying there for four years. When I moved out
- 16:30Speaker 11: of the apartment, I moved in the house. You understand
- 16:33Speaker 11: all this got going with your which is which? Whatever
- 16:36Speaker 11: it is is three sixteen?
- 16:37Speaker 6: You one three two?
- 16:39Speaker 5: That's on you, man, Ain't I got to stay in
- 16:43Speaker 5: three sixteen? Man, see that, that's what I'm trying to say.
- 16:45Speaker 5: I didn't find the least, so I'm stuck with it.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I got to get that apartment. So I said, I'm
- 16:50Speaker 5: gonna try to tell you would you like to which?
- 16:52Speaker 5: Which other apartment would you like to move to? And
- 16:55Speaker 5: I go on to get them to move your stuff all.
- 16:57Speaker 6: The time over than nothing.
- 16:59Speaker 11: Ain't nothing moving gonna moves The numbers. You can add
- 17:02Speaker 11: them up, divide them, do whatever you want to them.
- 17:05Speaker 6: But I ain't moving.
- 17:07Speaker 11: So you're gonna have to get that to your head. Man,
- 17:09Speaker 11: And really I'm because I don't know gave you my

- 17:18Speaker 11: know me.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Dog. I asked them who was in three sixteen.
- 17:21Speaker 11: They told me, sain't none of your business going three sixteen.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Man, Hey, listen, man, I'm trying to do this as
- 17:26Speaker 5: respectful as possible. You know, like I said, I really
- 17:29Speaker 5: can't function unless I'm living in a Just.
- 17:32Speaker 11: Respect me, then do it disrespect for them, because I'm
- 17:34Speaker 11: gonnahow him do this.
- 17:35Speaker 6: You called me with like this.
- 17:37Speaker 11: I don't give favorite now, don't care if that was
- 17:39Speaker 11: your favorite scripture.

- 17:43Speaker 5: you're gonna make this hard. Okay, so let me let
- 17:46Speaker 5: me tell you this to you. And I already told
- 17:47Speaker 5: the lady I want to be in three sixteen. She
- 17:50Speaker 5: told me I needed to deal with Dell. Now I'm
- 17:52Speaker 5: trying to deal with you in a polite way, okay,
- 17:54Speaker 5: because like I say, I can't function, man, unless I'm
- 17:57Speaker 5: in apartment three sixteen. I can't. I can't get them
- 18:00Speaker 5: go to work. I cannot function. Okay, I have to

- 18:04Speaker 11: Right so it sounds like you got a problem on
- 18:06Speaker 11: your hands. Man, whatever your problem is, that's your problem.
- 18:10Speaker 11: Ain't got to do me colling, you know like that?
- 18:13Speaker 11: Like I say, I've been staying in three sixteen. I'm
- 18:16Speaker 11: gonna stay in three sixteen till I moved to a house.
- 18:19Speaker 11: You need to find something else to do. And really
- 18:21Speaker 11: I'm starting. They gave you my number to call me

- 22:15Speaker 9: In entertainment news, Russell Simmons is being is suing HBO
- 22:19Speaker 9: for defamation and asking for twenty million dollars.
- 22:24Speaker 1: We'll talk about that.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Also.
- 22:25Speaker 9: An unidentified woman was removed from a courtroom during Diddy's
- 22:29Speaker 9: trial earlier this week. She was just yelling and then
- 22:33Speaker 9: bow Wow spoke out about being fat shamed online.
- 22:37Speaker 1: That's all coming up at the top of the hour.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Now yeah, bow wow back in the news.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 9: Anyway, it's time right now to ask Colo our chief love,
- 22:49Speaker 9: our chief love officer, Steve Harvey. This one's from Alonzo
- 22:54Speaker 9: and Syracuse. Colo Alonzo writes, I'm getting to know a
- 22:58Speaker 9: beautiful woman I met online for you four months ago.
- 23:01Speaker 9: Every time I go visit her, she asked me to
- 23:04Speaker 9: do some kind of work around her house. I can't
- 23:07Speaker 9: tell if she likes me or if she needs a handyman.
- 23:11Speaker 9: Is this part of the process or is she using me?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Well? Brouh, I mean look here, uh men have some
- 23:21Speaker 2: like the other day a guy had a gold digger test,
- 23:24Speaker 2: which was stupid. Yeah, you know, she she could, she
- 23:30Speaker 2: could genuinely need help. And maybe she's saying, man, here's
- 23:35Speaker 2: a guy that I like and is also willing to
- 23:38Speaker 2: help me. Is it really that bad? I don't know
- 23:43Speaker 2: why there's such a thought as being given these days
- 23:48Speaker 2: to is a woman using me? I'm buying all these
- 23:51Speaker 2: dinners and I'm doing this here, bro, Don't you understand
- 23:55Speaker 2: there's a cost to this. That's why that's a cost
- 24:00Speaker 2: to dating. You know, it's a cost to being in
- 24:05Speaker 2: a relationship. There's a cost. Stop wanting it to be
- 24:10Speaker 2: easy and free. It's not pruh. You're helping a woman
- 24:14Speaker 2: out worst case scenario. You help the person. You don't
- 24:18Speaker 2: understand that there's a blessing in that next question.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You frustrated your steve.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I mean, you know these young guys. Look, I'm not
- 24:32Speaker 2: mad at you, but and then I do understand. But
- 24:35Speaker 2: I don't mind helping you. But you got to be
- 24:37Speaker 2: open to what I'm saying. You know that there's times
- 24:40Speaker 2: it's different. Y'all need to stop saying that. Y'all need
- 24:43Speaker 2: to stop saying times it's different. I got times it's different.
- 24:47Speaker 2: But love is the same. Discipline is the same, Loyalty
- 24:54Speaker 2: and dedication is the same. That will never go out
- 24:56Speaker 2: of style. Purpose is the same. Go ahead, all right.
- 25:02Speaker 9: This one's from Raquel and Jackson. Raquel writes, my husband
- 25:06Speaker 9: used to gossip with me, but now he says I'm
- 25:08Speaker 9: being messy. He said, I need to listen to the
- 25:11Speaker 9: sermons on Sunday. Since when is it a sin to
- 25:14Speaker 9: gossip with your spouse? It's what we've done for years.
- 25:18Speaker 9: Who am I supposed to talk to now?
- 25:22Speaker 2: Well, get you some friends. Ain't it something in the
- 25:26Speaker 2: Bible to say gods should not be a false witness
- 25:29Speaker 2: against that neighbor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well then gossip isn't
- 25:36Speaker 2: necessarily facts. Did you hear about? Well, suppose what you
- 25:42Speaker 2: heard about ain't true, not true. You know, you know
- 25:46Speaker 2: they say so and so did this, post so and
- 25:49Speaker 2: so didn't do that. But even if so and so
- 25:51Speaker 2: did that, you don't really know that gossip is hearsay.
- 25:57Speaker 2: So that's what your husband is saying. You know, he
- 26:01Speaker 2: trying to get better.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Right, Getting better costs That's it. That's it right there.
- 26:08Speaker 2: It costs you something you enjoyed. I wish I could
- 26:10Speaker 2: pull up this thing I pulled online the other day. Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 2: you need to stop gospel. Call you girlfriends, just into.
- 26:16Speaker 9: It because your husband's not here for it any longer. Okay,
- 26:21Speaker 9: all right, Moving on to Patrick in La. Patrick says,
- 26:24Speaker 9: I'm fifty nine years old and my wife.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Is fifty two.
- 26:28Speaker 9: She gets in the mood at the strangest times, and
- 26:31Speaker 9: I'm supposed to have sex when she wants to. I'm
- 26:34Speaker 9: not always in the mood, but she doesn't care. How
- 26:38Speaker 9: do I put my foot down and tell my wife no?
- 26:41Speaker 9: Sometimes I don't know, I don't know, I don't know,
- 26:46Speaker 9: I don't know Patrick, I don't know.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't know, so he should just go along with it.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Bro, you got the best problem you can have. We're
- 26:59Speaker 2: going to say that mouth.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And get in there and laid out. But he's not
- 27:06Speaker 1: always in the mood.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Shut up?
- 27:08Speaker 6: Do it?
- 27:12Speaker 9: Is it because of the times he says at the
- 27:14Speaker 9: strangest times? What are those strangest times?
- 27:17Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't care. I don't care. Go in there
- 27:23Speaker 2: and perform your husband duties I got and got no
- 27:32Speaker 2: help for you. Stop crying stuff you're whining because bru
- 27:38Speaker 2: it can be the opposite m m.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And then what if it were the opposite?
- 27:44Speaker 2: She don't know? Won't be knowing me every time I ask,
- 27:48Speaker 2: cause she tells me no, she got ahead, She she tired,
- 27:52Speaker 2: she's been working all day, she's been playing with your kids.
- 27:55Speaker 2: She don't feel like.
- 27:57Speaker 1: He'll tell you.
- 28:03Speaker 2: What, Junior?
- 28:04Speaker 1: What'd you say?
- 28:05Speaker 5: Now?
- 28:06Speaker 13: I want my wife to hear Patrick's prime. I need
- 28:11Speaker 13: her to hear it is.
- 28:15Speaker 1: You guys have just the opposite issues, won't me all
- 28:18Speaker 1: the time? Have you ever said no? Have you guys
- 28:24Speaker 1: ever said no to your wife?
- 28:27Speaker 2: I can't you really no.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to help someone.
- 28:34Speaker 2: You're not gonna be talking of under my clothes. Sorry, don't.
- 28:45Speaker 5: I know?
- 28:45Speaker 9: My mom used to say that. All right, all right,
- 28:49Speaker 9: so get with it. Patrick, that's the advice from the
- 28:51Speaker 9: clo all right, moving on. This is the last one, Steve.
- 28:54Speaker 9: This is from Onyx and Hilton Head. Onyx writes, I
- 28:58Speaker 9: bought a small condo near the beach, and my son
- 29:01Speaker 9: and his pregnant wife are coming to visit me. They
- 29:04Speaker 9: usually sleep on the sleeper sofa, but she asked if
- 29:07Speaker 9: they could sleep in my room since she's pregnant. Am
- 29:10Speaker 9: I obligated to give them my bed? That's what she
- 29:14Speaker 9: wants to know.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Oh, you get it.
- 29:16Speaker 2: So it's a one bedroom. So it's a one bedroom.
- 29:20Speaker 9: Yeah, a small condo near the beach. Yeah, just for
- 29:24Speaker 9: her and she has her room and then the sleeper sofa.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Oh so where do they live?
- 29:31Speaker 5: What?
- 29:32Speaker 2: Well, it looks like you don't know how to have
- 29:34Speaker 2: your baby, that's what the old lady ought to say. Well,
- 29:40Speaker 2: it looked like you don't need you don't know how
- 29:41Speaker 2: to have your baby.
- 29:46Speaker 5: What does that mean? You know?
- 29:50Speaker 2: I don't I don't know. I ain't never been pregnant,
- 29:53Speaker 2: so I I know it looks hard it really does
- 29:59Speaker 2: look hard. So I don't really have nothing to say.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So is she obligated to give them her room?
- 30:06Speaker 2: No, she's not obligated. It would be a very kind gesture.
- 30:11Speaker 2: But why don't y'all get ad mattress. We'll get a
- 30:14Speaker 2: room here, all right? Uh, they're going to they want
- 30:18Speaker 2: to be on the beach in the condo. All right?
- 30:22Speaker 1: Thanks?
- 30:26Speaker 13: Coming up?
- 30:27Speaker 1: What coming up to the top of the hour, We'll
- 30:30Speaker 1: have some entertainment news for you right after this. You're
- 30:33Speaker 1: listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:40Speaker 9: On Tuesday, during Ditty's trial in New York, an unidentified
- 30:43Speaker 9: woman was removed from the courtroom for yelling at Ditty
- 30:47Speaker 9: while court was in session. According to reports, she stood
- 30:50Speaker 9: up and yelled it's not an effing game. They're coming
- 30:54Speaker 9: for you and accused observers of mocking Ditty and his
- 30:58Speaker 9: legacy as a black man. The judge had her removed
- 31:02Speaker 9: and she left peacefully. Since the incident, the woman released
- 31:06Speaker 9: a video obtained by various online sources. The woman stated
- 31:09Speaker 9: that everyone thinks this is a joke, and she doesn't
- 31:12Speaker 9: think it's funny. She said nothing is funny about watching
- 31:15Speaker 9: a black man's legacy being destroyed. The Internet has been
- 31:19Speaker 9: in a tizzy over her video with mixed emotions. Comments
- 31:23Speaker 9: range from praise for the woman to disgust over the
- 31:26Speaker 9: woman defending Diddy.
- 31:27Speaker 2: What do you think to do well? I mean, of course,
- 31:31Speaker 2: it's hard to watch a person's legacy being destroyed, But
- 31:36Speaker 2: then it's also hard to watch what you did to
- 31:39Speaker 2: bring about the destruction. I mean, you go two ways.
- 31:43Speaker 1: You can't.
- 31:45Speaker 2: He ain't in there for no reason. See, we're sitting
- 31:48Speaker 2: in this courtroom because of an action that occurred. I mean, yeah,
- 31:53Speaker 2: he has so much regret right now. Look throwing a
- 31:57Speaker 2: freak coffee shell. Biz, that's your business. You can do
- 32:01Speaker 2: what you want to do. But you did you didn't
- 32:04Speaker 2: listen to the warning shot, and so then you know,
- 32:07Speaker 2: and then you had a chance to pay Cassie if
- 32:10Speaker 2: you had promised her, and you didn't. And then when
- 32:13Speaker 2: she filed that thing, your lawyers came out and said,
- 32:16Speaker 2: we vehemently will fight these charges. They are so untrue.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Our client is innocent of these And then her lawyers
- 32:24Speaker 2: sent over a court or or a copy of what
- 32:28Speaker 2: they were going of what the finding said. See a minute,
- 32:31Speaker 2: it was just Cassie versus did it. But then when
- 32:34Speaker 2: they sent over the next morning, they sent over a
- 32:36Speaker 2: copy of what they had.
- 32:38Speaker 9: Right, they wrote that check next day, she said on
- 32:42Speaker 9: the in the courtroom, on the stand, witness stand.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It was twenty million dollars.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Oh we did that. Okay, let me send you this
- 32:49Speaker 2: check right here. I didn't know that what you was
- 32:52Speaker 2: gonna say then, right that, that would have been okay.
- 32:57Speaker 2: He would have let it go. But then that video,
- 33:00Speaker 2: once that video surface, man, that made now the state go,
- 33:06Speaker 2: wait a minute, let me read these findings. Let me
- 33:09Speaker 2: read this paperwork. And then everything in that paperwork coincided
- 33:14Speaker 2: with the timeline and facts, and now let's go see
- 33:17Speaker 2: what's really happening. Did he fly in such working So
- 33:20Speaker 2: they raided their house. Now they got some computers and
- 33:23Speaker 2: some emails. That's where all these emails come from.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Now yeah, yeah, all these.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Emails, all this stuff, and so all these emails and texts,
- 33:31Speaker 2: they got all that, and now we got these charges.
- 33:34Speaker 2: So yeah, it is hard to watch the destruction of
- 33:38Speaker 2: another brother. But it's also hard to watch why you
- 33:41Speaker 2: got here.
- 33:42Speaker 5: You know.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Unfortunately, this is a part of it.
- 33:45Speaker 2: I don't think he's going to get life because they're struggling. No,
- 33:51Speaker 2: they're they're struggling with a couple of points of the case.
- 33:54Speaker 2: But it's the record. Yeah, it's the racketeering that they
- 33:57Speaker 2: hanging their head on.
- 33:58Speaker 9: Yeah, ye, all right. Moving on to another lawsuit. This
- 34:05Speaker 9: time it's former record label executive Russell Simmons. Now Simmons
- 34:09Speaker 9: is suing HBO for twenty million dollars. He's suing them
- 34:13Speaker 9: for defamation, simming from HBO's On the Record documentary that
- 34:17Speaker 9: was released back in twenty twenty. According to the lawsuit,
- 34:20Speaker 9: the documentary explores the sexual assault allegations against Russell Simmons
- 34:26Speaker 9: by several women over the past ten years, but it
- 34:29Speaker 9: disregarded and or suppressed key evidence that supports his innocence.
- 34:35Speaker 9: Simmons seeks the immediate removal of On the Record documentary
- 34:39Speaker 9: from all HBO platforms and a twenty million dollar payout.
- 34:44Speaker 9: If you can recall more than twenty million, excuse me.
- 34:48Speaker 9: More than twenty women accused Russell Simmons of sexual assault,
- 34:51Speaker 9: and some of the women's accusations were included in the documentary.
- 34:55Speaker 9: So yeah, I think we all saw this documentary.
- 34:58Speaker 2: He ought to country.
- 35:00Speaker 13: Yeah, he's all the way from Bali.
- 35:02Speaker 1: He's in Bali, yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hard to guess. Gonna be hard to get
- 35:07Speaker 2: this one over, dog, This one's gonna be hard to
- 35:09Speaker 2: get cross the finish line. You have got to come
- 35:12Speaker 2: down here and do this deposition.
- 35:17Speaker 1: So yeah, that's the question.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Ain't nobody finding mail you twenty million overseas? I'm telling
- 35:23Speaker 2: you that tell you that right now. Homie hard to
- 35:30Speaker 2: get paid out the country.
- 35:32Speaker 9: But do you think he has a case against HBO
- 35:35Speaker 9: four defamation because they released a video see.
- 35:39Speaker 2: What they did to him without any counter That is
- 35:43Speaker 2: defamation of form of it. It sounds like it. But
- 35:47Speaker 2: then you left the country.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Why yeah, then stay here and face it.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you and Bali, Why yeah? You can't mail it
- 35:58Speaker 2: in a complaints. See what makes people pay you is
- 36:01Speaker 2: when you say, hey, man, give me my money, I'll
- 36:04Speaker 2: be down that Friday. If you can't make that threat,
- 36:11Speaker 2: what am I paying you for? You can't come here.
- 36:16Speaker 1: We'll keep a close eye on this story, crazy.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Man, close out the story. All you gotta do is
- 36:23Speaker 2: keep a close out on the airlines. The battle took
- 36:26Speaker 2: it somewhere.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Finally, it's obvious that.
- 36:33Speaker 9: Formally a little bow while it's gained weight and internet
- 36:36Speaker 9: trolls have been fat shaming him.
- 36:39Speaker 10: Uh.
- 36:39Speaker 1: He got fed up.
- 36:39Speaker 9: Earlier this week, he posted a video to address the
- 36:42Speaker 9: jokes about his weight. He said, they call me fat.
- 36:44Speaker 9: You all don't understand how this feels. You've been playing
- 36:47Speaker 9: with me too long. This isn't about falling off. It's
- 36:50Speaker 9: about stepping into a new role.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Okay what role he got?
- 36:57Speaker 1: He did not say.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Boy see Junior, you fash shaming.

- 38:32Speaker 9: Barry co hosted NBC's Jenna and Friends recently and she
- 38:35Speaker 9: opened up about the backlash she got from releasing a
- 38:38Speaker 9: video on Mother's Day with her lying in bed with
- 38:41Speaker 9: her bow Van Hunt and they were talking about sex.
- 38:45Speaker 9: She addressed one comment where a woman told her she
- 38:47Speaker 9: should be with her kids on Mother's Day. Hallie said,
- 38:51Speaker 9: all right, Tommy, listen up now. Hallie said, first of all,
- 38:54Speaker 9: it's not kid's Day, It's called Mother's Day.
- 38:57Speaker 1: She went on to say.
- 38:59Speaker 9: She went on to say that women should be allowed
- 39:02Speaker 9: to talk about intimacy. It's the most natural thing we do,
- 39:06Speaker 9: Hallie said. Whoever didn't like it, so what we should
- 39:09Speaker 9: talk more about loving each other.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And not fighting. So here's your question, Tommy, do you
- 39:14Speaker 1: agree with her?
- 39:15Speaker 10: I would agree with everything Heleny, whatever she said, whatever
- 39:21Speaker 10: she says. If it doesn't sound crazy to everybody else,
- 39:24Speaker 10: it does not sound crazy to me. I love everything
- 39:28Speaker 10: Hallie said, and now I gotta live. I was a
- 39:29Speaker 10: little uneasy about her landing there with that man. That
- 39:32Speaker 10: had me a little uncomfortable, like I felt a certain
- 39:35Speaker 10: way about that. Yeah, but other than that, you know,
- 39:38Speaker 10: whatever she said, it is what it is. I'm behind
- 39:41Speaker 10: Hally three thousand percent.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And yeah it was. It was Mother's day. It was
- 39:46Speaker 2: like children today. It's about her.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Your uncle is trying to say, I told.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Him, but I have told you a minute time. Don't
- 39:52Speaker 2: get in the wait. But you, me and Helene I

- 40:14Speaker 2: I got your upset by the man laying had kind
- 40:16Speaker 2: of made you feel some kind of way, but you

- 56:51Speaker 9: Thank you nephew. Subject she wants to talk about everything.
- 56:56Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and I have two teenagers,
- 56:59Speaker 9: and we have an oops baby that's five, and she
- 57:03Speaker 9: runs our house. I'm so over her that I want
- 57:06Speaker 9: to pack her stuff up and take her to my
- 57:08Speaker 9: mom's house and leave her there. This little girl acts
- 57:11Speaker 9: like an old lady, and she's always in grown folks conversation.
- 57:15Speaker 9: She gets it from staying at my mom's house during
- 57:18Speaker 9: the day. My mom godsips around her and talks to
- 57:21Speaker 9: her like she's a grown woman. This child doesn't miss
- 57:24Speaker 9: a thing, and here lately she has been repeating things
- 57:27Speaker 9: she hears me talking about on the phone with my
- 57:30Speaker 9: best friend. I have never cheated on my husband, but
- 57:33Speaker 9: I am entertaining a man from my past that is tall, muscular,
- 57:37Speaker 9: and wealthy. I wanted to see what's up with him.
- 57:41Speaker 9: So I went by one of his stores to say hi.
- 57:44Speaker 9: I was telling my best friend about sneaking to see him,
- 57:47Speaker 9: and when I got off the phone, my child asks
- 57:50Speaker 9: me if my special friend was a man that gave
- 57:52Speaker 9: her a cookies and ice cream milkshake. I was speechless,
- 57:57Speaker 9: because why is she in my conversation like that? And yes,
- 58:01Speaker 9: she was in the car with me that day, and
- 58:03Speaker 9: I stepped out of the car to talk to the guy.
- 58:06Speaker 9: As soon as my husband got home, she told him
- 58:09Speaker 9: that I got mad at her because she talks about everything.
- 58:13Speaker 9: My husband laughed at her, and she went on to
- 58:16Speaker 9: tell him that I took her to my friend's store
- 58:18Speaker 9: and he sells delicious milkshakes. I joked about her having
- 58:22Speaker 9: an active imagination and told her to go to bed.
- 58:26Speaker 9: But what if she ever gives my husband more details
- 58:28Speaker 9: from that day. We've tried disciplining her, but spankings don't
- 58:32Speaker 9: bother her. She has to start school soon. So how
- 58:35Speaker 9: do we get this five year old to stay in
- 58:37Speaker 9: a child's place?
- 58:39Speaker 7: Mom?
- 58:39Speaker 9: I'm sorry, this is your fault. Okay, this is all
- 58:43Speaker 9: your fault. It just is, you know, I mean, I
- 58:47Speaker 9: have no better way to put this. You're entertaining a
- 58:50Speaker 9: man from your past. You've never cheated on your husband.
- 58:53Speaker 9: You say, who's tall, muscular and wealthy. Your little daughter,
- 58:57Speaker 9: who you know is very precocious, she knows everything right there?
- 59:00Speaker 1: What do you think she's gonna do? You know, what
- 59:03Speaker 1: do you think she's gonna do? Mom? Come on, you
- 59:05Speaker 1: got it. Spankings, don't bother her no, because she's just
- 59:09Speaker 1: telling the truth. She's a kid, she's.
- 59:11Speaker 9: A five year old. Okay, you are the parent, you're
- 59:14Speaker 9: the adult. You know wrong from right?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Come on.
- 59:19Speaker 9: For you to say, mom that you want to pack
- 59:21Speaker 9: her stuff up and take her to your mom's house
- 59:24Speaker 9: and leave her there.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I mean, what kind of parenting is that?
- 59:29Speaker 5: Really?
- 59:29Speaker 3: Lady?
- 59:30Speaker 9: Really, you want to see what's up with this man
- 59:34Speaker 9: that you like, and you take your daughter as a cover.
- 59:36Speaker 9: This letter is so crazy. You know I had to
- 59:39Speaker 9: say this. You're a bad parent. You need to get
- 59:42Speaker 9: it together, you really do. This is not the child's fault.
- 59:45Speaker 9: This is on you, period, parent, Mom, Steve.
- 59:50Speaker 2: The letter shouldn't be about she wants to talk about everything.
- 59:56Speaker 2: This letter should be about all the stupid stuff I've done,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: because that's all it is. This is a letter full
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: of stupid stuff you've done. You had an oops baby
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: that's five, and she runs our house. That statement right
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: there can't even happen. She runs our house. I'm so
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: over her. I want to pack her stuff up and
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: take her over to my mom's house and leave her there. Really,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: let's talk about the stuff you've done in this letter.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: This oops baby was because you or your husband was
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: doing something without precautions, and now you have a baby.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Oops upside your head, Oops upside your head, Junior, you're
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: familiar with this song? Oops upside your head? Is somebody
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: gap band boy? Anyway? And she I want to pack
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: up herself and take it to my mama's house and
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: leave This little girl acts like an old lady, and
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: she moves around the grown folks conversation she gets from
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: staying at my mom's house during the day. My mom
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: gossip around her and talk like she's a grown woman. No,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: your child acts like this because she is allowed to
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: act like this. Ain't nobody stopping her. I remember when
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: you couldn't get in grown folks conversation. I remember when
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: you had to know your place. I remember when you
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: had to leave the room. I remember if I repeated
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: anything the backhand was so swift and severe. I remember
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: that this child don't miss a thing here, lady, and
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: she's been repeating things she hears me talking about on
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: the phone with my best friend. That happens. One time
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: I repeated some stuff. One time I heard my mama
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: saying to her sisters, was my aunt? I repeated that
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I've never repeated a conversation. Then my lips were big
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: as a child, so backhand and me had rich sig repercussion.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Already was dealing with the big lip jokes down at
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: the school. Now the busted big lip jokes, it's even worse.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: I've never cheated on my husband, but I'm entertaining a
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: man from my past that is tall, muscular, and wealthy.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: What did you hear your statement? I've never cheated on
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: my husband, but I'm entertaining a man from my past
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: that is tall, muscular, and wealthy. I wanted to see
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: what's up with him, so I went by his store
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: to say, how we'll be bound tell you what else
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: you did wrong?
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: Yeah, hang on, Steve, we'll have part two of your
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:02:43Speaker 9: Today's Strawberry Letters subject is she wants to talk about everything,
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: and we'll get back into it.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Right after that.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: It's Steve Harvey Moore on the show man. Ain't nobody
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: playing with y'all. A lot of people get hurt by
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: stew pity, and all we have is their last For instance,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: these ain't poison mushrooms. I know poison mushrooms, and I
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: see poison mushrooms. Okay, somebody dropped something in the water
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: and then somebody say, I get it. Steve morn Show
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: coming up right after that.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Do you think astronauts fight over elbow room? Probably because
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: advanced tech doesn't always mean more space Until now, introduce
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: it the Hondai Ionic nine, a three row electric suv

- 1:03:54Speaker 10: Actual rings will vary based on several factors.
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry. The
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: subject is she wants to talk about everything.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Yeah, well this is about a little girl who's running
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: the house at five years old. It was an oops baby.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: They claim they have two teenagers and an oops baby. Well,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: the oops baby is in charge because you allowed her
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: to be in charge. She's running her mouth. She's repeating
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: stuff she's heard on the phone. She got some when
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: you take off her grandmother's house. You're so fed up
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: with the little baby you want to take her to
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: your mama's house. Leaving at now she repeats stuff that
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: she hears her grandmother say with her friends. You don't
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: like that she gets in your business. You don't like
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: that I've never did Here was the line that we
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: left on. I've never cheated on my husband. But I'm
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: entertaining a man from my past that is tall, muscular,
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: and wealthy. That must be the direct opposite of your husband.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Shout fat and pope. So now, yeah, that's what I'm
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: reading in the y'all ain't saying that, But that was her.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: She said, I am entertaining a man that is tall, muscular,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: and wealthy. Right, that means her husband is shocked, fat
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: and pope. I wanted to see what's up with him.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: So I went by one of his stores to say hi.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: I was telling my best friend about sneaking to see him,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: and when I got off the phone, my child asked
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: me if my special friend was a man that gave
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: her cookies and cream milkshake. I was speechless because why
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: was she in my conversation like that? Why was she
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: in the conversation? The bigger question is why was she
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: in the car? Yeah? What are you doing? How you
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: taking your child on the failed mission? I was speaking
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: because why was she in my conversation like that? She
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: was in your car? And yes, she was in the
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: car with me that day I stepped out of the
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: car to talk to the guy she was in view.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: She saw you that ain't her daddy. As soon as
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: my husband got home, she told him. I got mad
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: at her because she talks about everything, and my husband
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: laughed at her. She went to tell him that I
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: took to my friend's store and he sells delicious milkshakes.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I joked about her having an active imagination. Told her
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: to go to bed. But what if she ever gives
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: my husband more details from that day? Because you let
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: her see the details, what other details can she give?
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Because all you did was get out and talk to her,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: and he gave her a milkshake. Now, I'm assuming that's
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: how he got wealthy selling these milkshakes. The story so
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: he got a store that said, all I chrim he
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: doing good. I don't know if that's wealthy, but he's
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: doing well. And congratulation to all the entrepreneurs out there
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: doing their thing. We tried disciplined in her, but spankings
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: don't bother her. Well. I have a comment about that, y'all.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Spink saint, y'all, spink, spankings ain't working because y'all don't
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: know how to spank. I'm telling you right now, all
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: of mine worked.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: How do you spink properly?
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: See?
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Every last one of mine worked. See, first of all,
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: I ain't gonna do it no more. I ain't gonna
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: do it no more. That didn't matter. When I said
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: that he kept going. Hollering at the top of my
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: lungs didn't work because he just told me to shut up.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Crying didn't work cause he said I'm gonna give you
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: something to cry at. Y'all are not spanking this baby properly. Now,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: I know those of you that don't believe in spankings
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: is listening to this show, But they already they said
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: in they letter, we tried discipline and herb and spankings
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: don't bother her. I all know what kind of spinks
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: you issuing, but the ones I got worked. Now. I
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: don't say the dad need to do it, but the
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: mom can do it. Because if you had the child,
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: I think that gives you rights. If you laid there
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: and went into label, carried this baby, nurse this baby,
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: nurtured this baby, birth this baby, I think you had
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: a right to be day. That's what I think. I
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: know my mama assumed her rights. Yeah, yes, I've heard.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many times I brought you
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: in as world I take you. I ain't can't even
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: count the times I heard that. So now, why your
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: spankings ain't work? That's on you. She has to start
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: school soon. She ain't even went to school yet. She
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: gonna be up in school telling your bill. So how
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: do we get this five year old to stay in
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: a child's place? You put her there, You put her
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: in her place, You teach her her place, and you
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: maintain the rules of her place, and when she steps
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: out of line, you check her and put her in line.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: This is a letter about you. Why are you taking
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: this woman to see? Why you taking this baby to
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: see this man? You're stupid, You who say you've never
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: cheated on your husband, But I'm entertaining a man that's tall,
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: muscular and wealthy. You fin to give him some? What
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: do you think tall muscular, wealthy men get. They get some?
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: He ain't even ask you for it. You went over
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: there to see him, and all he got to do
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: is give your baby a milkshake. He finish gets some. Wow,
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: your baby Finn to get cooking next time. You don't
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: baby to get a cookie next time? And you need
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: to bring your cookie.

- 1:11:21Speaker 13: Yeah, because they have fun.
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: Now, some people out there are competing right for qualifications
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: for marathons. Well that ain't fun then, Well, but that's
- 1:11:28Speaker 8: not the one we're doing. When your fun walking is
- 1:11:31Speaker 8: when you got the conversation. You take your time.
- 1:11:33Speaker 13: You know you ain't got the rush. Everybody talks sometime
- 1:11:36Speaker 13: they stoputak.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: But what I'm asking you know, Junior, So you do
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: have some people out there that's preparing for a real run. Oh,
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: yes you do.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: Yes, you do.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: You get more people if you open it up to that.
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: Yes, sir, they come out there, they get the qualifying time.
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: You know, tell me know about how they do that
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: for marathons, get a qualifying time.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: It ain't timmy run.
- 1:11:54Speaker 13: No, no, no, I'm just saying that's what we do.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: You know, we're helping your stretch with these questions.
- 1:12:01Speaker 13: Answer, I have to answer. Yes, it is our seventh
- 1:12:05Speaker 13: year doing this race. But the foundation around ten years,
- 1:12:09Speaker 13: thank you.
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: Around ten years, man, I've been doing this ten years,
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: helping these families with a sickle cell disease, which is
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: something I never thought i'd be doing. I didn't know
- 1:12:19Speaker 8: we were gonna have it this way for ten years.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: Because man, lem me tell you something. The people that
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: I've affected, Man, this foundation has done a great job,
- 1:12:26Speaker 8: and I want to thank my team for helping me.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: We've been We've taken all the proceeds down to Jacksonville, Florida,
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: to DC, to New York, to Chicago, to Memphis to.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: I want to say Birmingham.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: I've been.
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: I've been a lot of places over these ten years
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: with this foundation, man, so I am really proud of that.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: At Christmas time I have free for We have paid
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: for so many families Christmases because at Christmas time a
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: lot of sickle cell patients wake up in the hospital
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: and don't get to have Christmas.
- 1:12:57Speaker 13: So we give them Christmas before we get there. And
- 1:12:59Speaker 13: that's what the sees go too.
- 1:13:01Speaker 8: So that's what we do with without what the folks
- 1:13:04Speaker 8: that we get, I have nothing to do with none
- 1:13:06Speaker 8: of the money I get.
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: You.

- 1:13:10Speaker 2: I did. I have homeschool.
- 1:13:13Speaker 8: And you know what makes it bad is because your

- 1:13:49Speaker 2: even be in a crisis in the morning.
- 1:13:52Speaker 9: Coming up, Thank you Jr. Coming up at the top
- 1:13:55Speaker 9: of the hour. A wife needs some advice, Steve. She
- 1:13:57Speaker 9: wants to know why her husband will don't keep her girls.
- 1:14:01Speaker 9: We'll get into that right after this. You're listening to
- 1:14:04Speaker 9: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So this is
- 1:14:10Speaker 9: from Aurelia in Colorado Springs. Aurelia says, my mother in
- 1:14:16Speaker 9: law asked me to send a list of snacks that
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: my girls love so she can have them when the
- 1:14:21Speaker 9: girls come stay with her. I didn't know the girls
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: would be staying with her. I'm going to stay with
- 1:14:25Speaker 9: my sister for a week at the end of the
- 1:14:28Speaker 9: month to help her with her newborn baby. My husband
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: was supposed to plan activities for him and our girls
- 1:14:34Speaker 9: during that week. Instead, he's handling our kids off to
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: his mom. Why can't he keep his own children? And
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: why didn't he run his plans by me first before
- 1:14:46Speaker 9: he called his mama.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: He ain't got running planned by you. Ain't finna not
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: go see your girl. He going to play golf. He's
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: finna go play golf.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: But these are his children too, and.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Oh okay, I got keen. I tried to put him
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: off all time.
- 1:15:02Speaker 9: Yeah, why didn't he just says talk to her about it?
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: That's what she's mad about too. Why don't he talking about?
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Well, why you mad at him? You trust his mama
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: and his mama know how to raise kids better than
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: you do. And his mama ain't got no problem with him.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: So is mama gonna help him out? So he gonna
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: get some free time too. Everybody needs free time. Now
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: you going over here the babysit, this lady that have
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: his baby. He gonna go play girl. He gonna go
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: play golf.
- 1:15:33Speaker 9: I don't see how that's any even exchange what midwife. Yeah,
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: she's going to be of service to her sister. He's
- 1:15:43Speaker 9: going to have some fun.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Well, it don't say in the letter he going to
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: play golf, but I am telling you he gotta go
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: help his partner. His partner going through some changes with divorce,
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: and while they playing golf, they gonna talk about it. Alright,
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: dog good, hey man, use your seven nine from here.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: That the best way.
- 1:16:02Speaker 9: I don't think she likes the fact that he's acting
- 1:16:05Speaker 9: like they're not his girls. They're acting like they're her girls,
- 1:16:08Speaker 9: her responsibility, not his. So he pawned them off on
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: his mom.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: That's what she's so mad about.
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: Okay, everybody drop them off at their mama house. Everybody live,
- 1:16:21Speaker 10: so she's going.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: To be a midwife.
- 1:16:23Speaker 13: He can't go have fun.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: What you're saying he had. He didn't say he couldn't
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: take care of your own kids. She trying to cut
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: his time down to do what she wanted him to
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: do and not what he wanted to do. He didn't.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: You didn't ask him, could you go take care of
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: your sister? You told him that. So I'm gonna take
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: these girls over my mama house. I'm not fittished.
- 1:16:46Speaker 9: So are you saying she's a fun stealer because she
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: doesn't want him? She's mad because she wants him to
- 1:16:51Speaker 9: keep his own children right the world. He doesn't want
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: to keep his own girls. That sounds crazy, you know
- 1:16:59Speaker 9: what I mean?
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Time I want to keep my keys.
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: How many times have we ourselves been at our grandmothers
- 1:17:07Speaker 9: from our own parents?
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: More if we really think.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: About it, and we really think they pick us up.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I want my mommy crying and I want to go
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: my mom.
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: I'm sitting to doing old people stuff. I'm drinking coffee
- 1:17:20Speaker 8: in the morning.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: What you doing?
- 1:17:22Speaker 13: I'm not with a coffee cup. I thought it was amazing.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Watching the stories.
- 1:17:28Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm watching you know, young and the rest this
- 1:17:30Speaker 13: day of our lives.
- 1:17:33Speaker 9: All right, see, we have time for another one. This
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: is from China in Atlantic City. China says, I'm marrying
- 1:17:39Speaker 9: my high school sweetheart next month. We're in our mid
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: twenties and we both work two jobs. I was offered
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: a full time job as an administrative assistant with health benefits.
- 1:17:51Speaker 9: My fiance told me that my two jobs are bringing
- 1:17:54Speaker 9: more money than the full time job. We need health
- 1:17:57Speaker 9: insurance more than anything. So why would he tell me
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: not to take the job? Is he jealous because I
- 1:18:02Speaker 9: got the job?
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: Well, are you making more money than him?
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: It sounds like she will if she keeps her two jobs.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: It sounds like she is.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: I think that's what it is. I think that's what
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: it is.
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: Yeah, that's on you, doll, that is Yeah, that's where.
- 1:18:19Speaker 9: But why she's asking is he jealous and all that
- 1:18:22Speaker 9: because she got the job?
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Well, you know, if they were, consider it our money
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: instead of her money. Day money, here's money, my money.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: They have a much better time. I don't know why
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: it's difficult for people to do, but that's what marriage is.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: It's becoming one and that'll help you out greatly if
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: you could understand that. But I can't make you see
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: it if you don't want to.
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: Okay, all right, fair enough, coming up, Thank you, Steve.
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: Coming up at twenty minutes after we'll have more of
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:00Speaker 9: This toddler, the little kid, went on a fun ride
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: at Newark's Airport on the baggage conveyor belt.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: It was a two year old little boy.
- 1:19:08Speaker 9: He slipped behind the Jet Blue ticketing counter and got
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: up on the baggage conveyor belt and was swept away
- 1:19:15Speaker 9: by the moving belt. He traveled all the way down
- 1:19:18Speaker 9: to the baggage handling area before he was spotted Poort
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: authority officers quickly jumped into action and the child ended
- 1:19:25Speaker 9: up safely in the baggage room. Medics were called to

- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so so so so the baby got away from
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: the parents and.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, slipped behind the ticket counter. Yeah, got on there.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: But he was fine.
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: The parents, of course, were in a panic and everything.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: So I want to see the brother that was working
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: the luggage that ran into the baby.
- 1:20:02Speaker 9: But so if you ever got you know, have you
- 1:20:04Speaker 9: ever thought about it? It looks fun the conveyor belt
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: taking a spin on it.
- 1:20:10Speaker 13: That baby that got away.
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: I might want to go into a city where if
- 1:20:14Speaker 8: I was going and just get in the because if
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: I see my parents are getting the beaten, I'm back.
- 1:20:21Speaker 13: The beating.

- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Thank you guys. Yeah, everybody.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Hey, my closing remarks today, I want to kind of
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: expound on something that Junior had asked me earlier today.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: The question Junior proposed to me earlier today was unc
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: in all of your lifetime, can you think of the
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: worst advice you've ever gotten? And without hesitation, two of
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: them came to mind right away because I've gotten some
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: bad advice. And the thing you have to understand, you all,
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: is because I've read the Book of Proverbs repeatedly, and
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: because I've asked God for wisdom and understand since I
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: was fifteen years old. Now that doesn't mean I've always
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: applied that wisdom and understanding, Trust me, I haven't. I've
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: done some foolish, simple, stupid things in my life knowing
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: better and did them anyway, and sometimes figuring that that
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: didn't apply to me then, but it always does. The
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: two worst piece of advice I got, and I probably
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: have had a lot more, but the two that comes
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: to mind. Number one, don't put all your eggs in
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: one basket. Well that troubles me. You know, if we're
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: talking about the stock market, okay, but if you're talking
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: about your effort and your life's to accomplish your dreams
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: and goals, I don't understand how you could possibly attain
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: them without putting your total effort to this thing. You've
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: got to put a total effort into whatever it is
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: you're trying to accomplish, especially when it comes to accomplishing
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: your dreams and aspirations with your life. Put all your
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: eggs in one basket. What to me, it matters, and
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: it depends on what that basket is made out of.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: If that basket is made out of faith, if that
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: basket is made out of strength, if that basket is
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: made out of hard work, if that basket is woven
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: together with discipline and prayer. Why would you not put
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: all your eggs in that basket? And then, I don't
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: know how you're going to accomplish your dreams without an
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: all out effort. It requires everything you have. You don't
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: get a lot of days off climbing that letter to
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: the corporate letter, trying to be successful in corporate America,
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: trying to be successful as a business own an entrepreneur,
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: trying to be at the top of your game. You
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: gonna get to the top with days off. I'm sorry.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: I got another piece of advice and I told it
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: to Junior this morning, was don't put all your eggs
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: in one basket. And the second one was plan B.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: Always have a plan B. What do you know something?
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Everybody I know that had a Plan B had to
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: use it because in order to have a Plan B,
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: you must stop your Plan A to make preparations to
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: have a Plan B. So now again, all your effort
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: ain't going into Plan A, cause you back here building
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: a backup plan, which is a Plan B. I'll give
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: you another example of a Plan B. If you have
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: a pre nup in your marriage, that's a Plan B.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: And I got something I'm going to tell you. I
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: know a lot of people with prenups. I don't know
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: a living soul that had a prenupt that didn't use it.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: I don't. You may know some people that's got a
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: prenup who haven't used it yet, but hang on, everybody
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: I know that had a prenup used it.
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: I'm not saying you shouldn't have a prenup. You could
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: do like you want to do, but everybody I know
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: that had one use it. Now, if you're an older
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: guy and you're dating a young girl and you want
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: to make sure that certain things go to certain people
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: that you've known all your life, understand that. Understand that,
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: But y'all start off equal and you have a prenup
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: or you start off with bruh, you're gonna use the
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: prenup because it's preparation ful failure. So having a Plan
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: B and not putting all your eggs in one basket
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: of the two worst pieces of advice I've ever gotten.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: I'll tell you a third thing. Whenever somebody's talking to
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: me and they say statistics say, statistics say, I'm very
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: conscious of that, I'm very careful of that because I
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: don't care nothing about statistics. Statistics allow you an option
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: to look at to take the failure path. When I
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: first got into comedy, that was a saying that says,
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: one in every twenty thousand comedians will ever make it
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: to the Tonight Show, and you can't make it without
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: the Tonight Show one in twenty thousand. So every night
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: when I was young, before I went on stage, I
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: would hum the theme song to Johnny Carson because that
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: was my dream, was to get on the Tonight Show.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: I never made it to the Tonight Show. I never
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: got on there, but I learned something. You don't need
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: the Tonight Show. You need God. God can do exceedingly
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: and abundantly over all you think I asked, you think
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: God can't out do the Tonight Show. I never got
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: on the Tonight Show, never met Johnny Carson, but somehow,
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: by the grace of God, I managed to make it anyway.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: And that was one of the lessons I learned in
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: life to stop depending, depending and relying on people and
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: put your faith in God. God is an architect and
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: author of my life. Make sure that you hold on
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: to that people. Stop worrying about what the haters say.
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: The haters are not decision make up power brokers or
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: shakers and movers. Forget them. Don't even worry about them.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: Put your faith in God. Stop worrying about statistics. Don't
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: worry about that saying. Don't put all your eggs in
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: one basket and make a plan be put all your
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: efforts into one thing. Just make sure it includes God.
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: God will take care of you like he always has.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Those are my closing remarks today. Hope you got something
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: from it. You know what, have a great day today, y'all.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: Talk to God. He'd absolutely love to hear from you,
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: and I mean that sincerely. Talk to him today.
