- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It's so nice to have you with us. And
- 0:03Speaker 1: I got to tell you there has been so much
- 0:06Speaker 1: about Jeffrey Epstein that I decided Senator Cruz and I
- 0:09Speaker 1: we're going to have a conversation about this issue, and
- 0:12Speaker 1: I want to have it for you as we did
- 0:13Speaker 1: a dual pod, because there's just so much that's breaking,
- 0:17Speaker 1: including the new threat coming from the President saying he's
- 0:20Speaker 1: gonna sue the hell out of the Wall Street Journal
- 0:22Speaker 1: for a pretty crazy report that has come out and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the President says it is a lie. So I want
- 0:29Speaker 1: you to hear what Senator Ted Cruz and I had
- 0:31Speaker 1: to say about all of this. Plus NPR has been defunded,
- 0:36Speaker 1: How we got there, how it happened, actually happened. And
- 0:39Speaker 1: then one other thing, Stephen Colbert, the whole show, he's
- 0:43Speaker 1: ruined to the point where they just canceled it and
- 0:46Speaker 1: said the show's gone, not just you, the entire show.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Well, there's an absolute battle playing out in Washington, DC,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and you've got a battle about the Epstein files, President Trump,
- 0:57Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal, Pam Bondish, Pateel, Dan Bongino. It
- 1:02Speaker 2: is chaos. We're going to do our very best to
- 1:04Speaker 2: break down what's going on, what to expect, what's going
- 1:07Speaker 2: to happen next. We're also going to talk about really
- 1:10Speaker 2: important legislation that just passed Congress past the Senate defunding PBS,
- 1:15Speaker 2: defunding NPR. This is a major conservative victory. We've been
- 1:19Speaker 2: trying to do this for decades and we finally got
- 1:22Speaker 2: it done. And finally we're going to talk about something
- 1:25Speaker 2: that I'm going to confess is just beautiful. Stephen Colbert
- 1:30Speaker 2: has been fired, he's been canceled. We're going to break
- 1:33Speaker 2: that down, talk about what's going on. A lot is
- 1:36Speaker 2: happening right now.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, before we get all that, I just want to
- 1:39Speaker 1: talk to you real quick about an incredible company that
- 1:42Speaker 1: I want you to know about. And if you have
- 1:44Speaker 1: a cell phone, and look almost one hundred percent of
- 1:46Speaker 1: us do, then why give your money to companies that
- 1:50Speaker 1: actually fight against your values. For more than twelve years,
- 1:54Speaker 1: there's been a company called Patriot Mobile, and they've been
- 1:57Speaker 1: on the front lines fighting for a god given right
- 2:00Speaker 1: and freedoms by taking part of your cell phone bill
- 2:03Speaker 1: at no extra costs to any of their clients and
- 2:07Speaker 1: giving it back to incredible causes that support our First
- 2:11Speaker 1: and our second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children,
- 2:14Speaker 1: and they stand with our veterans, our wounded warriors, and
- 2:17Speaker 1: so many families that are in need, with loved ones
- 2:19Speaker 1: that served in our military. Now they do that while
- 2:23Speaker 1: you also get exceptional nationwide cell phone service, and you
- 2:27Speaker 1: get access with Patriot Mobile to all three of the
- 2:31Speaker 1: main networks that are running all over the country. Now
- 2:35Speaker 1: you don't have to take my word for it. You
- 2:36Speaker 1: can literally ask the hundreds of thousands of American Patriots
- 2:40Speaker 1: who have made the switch and are now supporting causes
- 2:43Speaker 1: they believe in simply by joining Patriot Mobile. Now, a
- 2:47Speaker 1: lot of people think that switching cell phone providers is
- 2:50Speaker 1: so hard it's not worth the time. That is true
- 2:52Speaker 1: in the past, but not in twenty twenty five. Switching
- 2:55Speaker 1: is easier now than ever. You can activate in minutes
- 2:57Speaker 1: from the comfort of your home or your office, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: you keep your same number, You keep your same phone,
- 3:03Speaker 1: or you can upgrade to a new one. Now I
- 3:05Speaker 1: want to give you a free month of service. All
- 3:07Speaker 1: you have to do is go to Patriotmobile dot com
- 3:11Speaker 1: slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson and
- 3:16Speaker 1: if you use the promo code Ferguson, you're gonna get
- 3:18Speaker 1: a free month of service. On top of that, you
- 3:21Speaker 1: can also call them and make the switch nine to
- 3:23Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot. That's nine seven to two Patriot,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and make the switch today and make a difference literally
- 3:30Speaker 1: with every phone call and text you make. All right, So, Centater,
- 3:33Speaker 1: let's break down some of the just frustrations with the
- 3:38Speaker 1: Epstein hoopla. The media is just going after Donald Trump.
- 3:43Speaker 1: The left is now caring about Epstein they never did before.
- 3:48Speaker 1: They're trying to attack Trump, saying he's trying to hide something.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And I think it's pretty clear you've been an advocate
- 3:55Speaker 1: for this. I have since the beginning. I want transparency.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I want to make sure that the people that were
- 4:02Speaker 1: involved are held accountable. There seems like there's been no
- 4:04Speaker 1: accountability except for one person going to jail. And I
- 4:08Speaker 1: want to make sure that our government wasn't covering something
- 4:11Speaker 1: up because a lot of people lost like confidence in
- 4:14Speaker 1: our institutions, and we know they've lied to us a lot.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything wrong with hardcore conservatives wanting
- 4:21Speaker 1: that level of transparency.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Well, I think millions who could serve it as millions
- 4:26Speaker 2: of Americans have been frustrated in the last week because
- 4:30Speaker 2: the media has been just beside themselves trying to flame
- 4:34Speaker 2: a civil war. They wanted a civil war between Magan
- 4:37Speaker 2: and Trump, and they're hoping that all of the elements
- 4:41Speaker 2: of the conservative movement, all of the elements of President
- 4:45Speaker 2: Trump and his supporters, will consume each other. I don't
- 4:48Speaker 2: think that's gonna happen. So so part of my advice
- 4:50Speaker 2: to everyone is just breathe. Count to ten. We're gonna
- 4:54Speaker 2: make it through this. Now, let me give you some
- 4:56Speaker 2: ways to think through this. I'm gonna give you four principles.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Number One, transparency is good. We should support transparency. We
- 5:04Speaker 2: should demand transparency. We should fight for transparency. That's important.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Number two, protect the victims. A couple months ago, I
- 5:14Speaker 2: had dinner with Pambondi Pam as a good friend. We
- 5:17Speaker 2: were talking about the Epstein files and what had been released.
- 5:20Speaker 2: What she told me then is she said that there
- 5:23Speaker 2: were hundreds, even thousands of hours of tapes. The tapes
- 5:27Speaker 2: were explicit. She said they were explicit of children being abused,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and she said it was taking time to edit those
- 5:36Speaker 2: videos to make sure you protect victims. Look, nobody wants
- 5:39Speaker 2: to see children being sexually assaulted having their privacy violated,
- 5:44Speaker 2: So I think it's important to protect the victims. It's
- 5:47Speaker 2: not their fault. Number three, and this is a principle
- 5:50Speaker 2: I have said four years on this issue. Release it all.
- 5:56Speaker 2: That should be the basic standard. Put it out there,
- 5:59Speaker 2: release it all, make it public. That's what I've encouraged
- 6:02Speaker 2: the President to do, the White House to do, the
- 6:04Speaker 2: Department of Justice to do, the FBI to do. I
- 6:06Speaker 2: think that is a simple and straightforward standard. And then
- 6:10Speaker 2: number four, predators should be prosecuted. Anyone who sexually assaulted
- 6:18Speaker 2: a child should be prosecuted and they should go to jail.
- 6:24Speaker 2: This is a simple and straightforward standard. This is what
- 6:26Speaker 2: we should be demanding. Now we're going to break this
- 6:29Speaker 2: down in this show. We're going to talk about what's
- 6:30Speaker 2: going on. But understand the media you were on CNN
- 6:35Speaker 2: earlier to night. CNN is so excited. They're so excited
- 6:40Speaker 2: because they're seeing strong supporters of the president who are
- 6:42Speaker 2: criticizing the president. Cina doesn't care about the truth. If
- 6:46Speaker 2: they cared about the truth. By the way, Joe Biden
- 6:48Speaker 2: had these files. He had these files for years did
- 6:51Speaker 2: CNN ever mention the words Jeffrey Epstein. They didn't want
- 6:54Speaker 2: Joe Biden to release the files, they didn't want Merrick
- 6:56Speaker 2: Garland to release the files. They're not concerned about the substance.
- 7:00Speaker 2: They're just excited about the civil war among President Trump
- 7:05Speaker 2: and his supporters. That should tell you something. We're gonna
- 7:08Speaker 2: break that down even further. But understand, at the end
- 7:12Speaker 2: of the day, the people cheering on for this to
- 7:15Speaker 2: get ugly, many of them, the Democrats and the corporate media,
- 7:21Speaker 2: have been proven to be utter and complete hypocrites. Because
- 7:24Speaker 2: if they didn't say a word when Joe Biden was president,
- 7:28Speaker 2: then they need to be quiet right now and stop
- 7:30Speaker 2: pretending they care about this.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Let's talk about what transparency looks like. And this was
- 7:37Speaker 1: one of the big debates, as you mentioned, seeing it
- 7:40Speaker 1: obsessed over this, and I said, look, this has to
- 7:43Speaker 1: be done a responsible way. I also think the American
- 7:46Speaker 1: people need to understand Donald Trump cannot just sign and
- 7:50Speaker 1: everything go out to the public. There are judges that
- 7:53Speaker 1: will have to decide what is made public. And a
- 7:55Speaker 1: lot of the information we have on Jeffrey Epstein, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: they're trying to act like Donald Trump's that's not allowing
- 8:01Speaker 1: anything to happen. That's not the case.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and listen, the media and the Democrats
- 8:07Speaker 2: have been eager to fan a dispute between Pambondi, Cash Battel,
- 8:12Speaker 2: and Dan Bongino. Not now. I want to caution everyone,
- 8:15Speaker 2: do not take as true everything reported in the media.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I've read the same things you are. That Dan Bongino's
- 8:22Speaker 2: screaming at Pambondi, that there's a civil war, that he's
- 8:25Speaker 2: threatening to resign, that cash Ptel threatening to resign. I
- 8:28Speaker 2: don't know. I have not been in these meetings. I'll
- 8:32Speaker 2: tell you all three of them are friends of mine.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I like Pambondi, I like cash Battel, I like Dan Bongino.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I've known all of them for a decade. I believe
- 8:41Speaker 2: they are good people. I believe they are principled people.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I believe they're trying to do the right thing. And
- 8:46Speaker 2: my hope is the Trump administration will follow the four
- 8:51Speaker 2: principles I laid out and handle this the right way.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But do not get carried away with the media excitement
- 9:00Speaker 2: of the people who hate President Trump, hate his administration,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and want his administration to be in a civil war.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I very much hope. I do not know, but I
- 9:10Speaker 2: hope that Bondi, Patel and Bongino come together and they
- 9:14Speaker 2: do the right thing together. And do not believe the
- 9:17Speaker 2: exaggerations of a civil war.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Right now, Senator, I want to get in also to
- 9:22Speaker 1: another big story that came out. It dealt with Epstein
- 9:26Speaker 1: and the Wall Street Journal report. The President punching back
- 9:30Speaker 1: extremely hard on this reporting.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Well, the Wall Street Journal reported this week that there
- 9:37Speaker 2: was a book prepared for Jeffrey Epstein's fiftieth birthday and
- 9:41Speaker 2: it had letters from a number of prominent people, and
- 9:44Speaker 2: that one of the letters was from Donald Trump. And
- 9:47Speaker 2: this was a breathless article. And you're right, President Trump
- 9:51Speaker 2: is punching back hard. He says it is fake, he
- 9:54Speaker 2: says it is false. He says he's going to sue
- 9:57Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal. Now, Ben, you' know the truth
- 10:00Speaker 2: on this. I don't know the truth on this. I'll
- 10:03Speaker 2: tell you what the Wall Street Journal reported just on
- 10:05Speaker 2: the text of it. I go to admit, this thing
- 10:08Speaker 2: sounds weird, and if any of us have a BS meter,
- 10:14Speaker 2: it ought to be flashing. So here's what the Wall
- 10:17Speaker 2: Street Journal reported reported. The letter said quote voiceover, there
- 10:23Speaker 2: must be more to life than having everything, And then
- 10:26Speaker 2: it's this weird dialogue. Donald, Yes there is, but I
- 10:31Speaker 2: won't tell you what it is, Jeffrey, nor will I
- 10:36Speaker 2: since I also know what it is. Donald. We have
- 10:41Speaker 2: certain things in common, Jeffrey. Jeffrey, yes, we do, come
- 10:47Speaker 2: to think of it, Donald, enigma's never age. Have you
- 10:52Speaker 2: noticed that, Jeffrey. As a matter of fact, it was
- 10:56Speaker 2: clear to me the last time I saw you, Donald,
- 11:01Speaker 2: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday, and may
- 11:06Speaker 2: every day be another wonderful secret. And then underneath that
- 11:12Speaker 2: is a hand drawn, pretty shoddy drawing of a naked
- 11:15Speaker 2: woman and the now very famous signature of Donald Trump
- 11:19Speaker 2: drawn on top of the hand drawn naked woman. Now look,
- 11:25Speaker 2: I don't know if this is real or not, but
- 11:27Speaker 2: I gotta say that doesn't sound like Donald Trump to me.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I've known President Trump a long time. That exchange just
- 11:34Speaker 2: sounds strange. I've seen online. I've never heard President Trump
- 11:39Speaker 2: use the word enigma as an enigma's never age. That's
- 11:42Speaker 2: not the language President Trump speaks. And this sort of weird, existential,
- 11:49Speaker 2: self reflective dialogue out of Camu that ain't the Donald J.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Trump I know, and I got to say President Trump
- 12:00Speaker 2: response on this. It was not ambiguous, it was not slight,
- 12:04Speaker 2: it was not conflicted. Here's what President Trump said in
- 12:09Speaker 2: response to this. He said on truth quote. The Wall
- 12:14Speaker 2: Street Journal and Rupert Murdock personally were warned directly by
- 12:18Speaker 2: President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they were
- 12:21Speaker 2: printed by President Trump to Epstein was a fake all
- 12:25Speaker 2: caps and if they print it, they will be sued.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Mister Murdoch stated that he would take care of it,
- 12:32Speaker 2: but obviously did not have the power to do so.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was
- 12:38Speaker 2: told directly by Caroline Levitt and by President Trump that
- 12:41Speaker 2: the letter was a fake all caps, but Emina Tucker
- 12:45Speaker 2: didn't want to hear that. Instead, they're going with a false, malicious,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and defamatory story. Anyway, President Trump will be suing the
- 12:52Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal, newscorps, and mister Murdoch shortly. The press
- 12:57Speaker 2: has to learn to be truthful and not to rely
- 12:59Speaker 2: on sources that probably don't even exist. President Trump has
- 13:04Speaker 2: already beaten George Stephanopolis, Slash ABC sixty Minutes, Slash CBS,
- 13:09Speaker 2: and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable
- 13:12Speaker 2: the once great Wall Street Journal. It is truly turned
- 13:16Speaker 2: out to be a quote disgusting and filthy rag and
- 13:19Speaker 2: writing defamatory lies like this shows their desperation to remain relevant.
- 13:24Speaker 2: If there were any truths at all on the Epstein hoax,
- 13:28Speaker 2: as it pertains to President Trump, the information would have
- 13:31Speaker 2: been revealed by Comy Brennan, Crooked Hillary and the other
- 13:35Speaker 2: radical left lunatics years ago. It certainly would not have
- 13:39Speaker 2: sat in the file waiting for Trump to have won
- 13:42Speaker 2: three elections. This is yet another example of fake news. Now,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I got to say President Trump is not being shy
- 13:52Speaker 2: or subtle or restrained on that. He's saying it's an
- 13:55Speaker 2: absolute lie. And look, I think we'll see this play
- 13:59Speaker 2: out in the in the days ahead. But on the
- 14:03Speaker 2: face of it, like the strange drawing of a naked
- 14:07Speaker 2: woman that seems like it's drawn by about a twelve
- 14:10Speaker 2: year old, that doesn't seem like anything I've ever seen
- 14:14Speaker 2: President Trump do, and and and so, and it's kind
- 14:18Speaker 2: of very conveniently signed with the same signature we've seen
- 14:23Speaker 2: on pictures on laws, on executive orders, on pardons. It
- 14:29Speaker 2: has a lot of appearances of being fake we'll see
- 14:31Speaker 2: what happens.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Well, and the queer point the President is making was
- 14:36Speaker 1: he's saying it's not real and I'm gonna sue suing
- 14:39Speaker 1: by the way the coming downs Fox News, that's a
- 14:42Speaker 1: pretty bold statement. I also think that you know, goes
- 14:46Speaker 1: to the heart here where he's saying this is not
- 14:48Speaker 1: a real story. This is. And let's also be clear
- 14:51Speaker 1: when the president digs in. Traditionally we have seen when
- 14:55Speaker 1: he says this is not a real story. Russia collusion
- 14:58Speaker 1: is a great example of that. He's been right and
- 15:02Speaker 1: when he sued, he's been right.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Well.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And let me make three points that are critical in
- 15:07Speaker 2: analyzing this battle between Trump and the Wall Street Journal.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Number One, the most compelling argument he made this in
- 15:14Speaker 2: his truth is if there were evidence of Donald Trump
- 15:18Speaker 2: in the Epstein files, Biden would have released it. Biden
- 15:21Speaker 2: had this, Merrick Garland had this. They were in the
- 15:23Speaker 2: middle of a nasty fight. If they had anything to
- 15:26Speaker 2: implicate Donald Trump, we would have seen this on the
- 15:29Speaker 2: front pages of the paper in October of twenty twenty four,
- 15:33Speaker 2: right before the election. The fact that they didn't, I
- 15:36Speaker 2: think is the single most compelling piece of evidence to
- 15:38Speaker 2: suggest that this is not real. Number two, and I
- 15:42Speaker 2: want to underscore this, don't forget Bill Clinton. Jeffrey Epstein
- 15:48Speaker 2: was a Democrat. He was a friend to Bill. You
- 15:51Speaker 2: know what was hanging in Jeffrey Epstein's living room in
- 15:54Speaker 2: his Manhattan.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Brownstone, Ah, the famous Bill Clinton dress painting.
- 16:01Speaker 2: No, that's exactly right. It was a painting of Bill
- 16:03Speaker 2: Clinton in a blue dress wearing red pumps. It was weird.
- 16:08Speaker 2: And that's what Jeffrey Epstein had hanging on his wall.
- 16:11Speaker 2: He was a huge Democrat. Donery supported Chuck Schumer and Democrats,
- 16:15Speaker 2: and so don't forget Bill Clinton. And there's a lot
- 16:20Speaker 2: of effort to paint this Democrats scumbags as a Trump guy.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And a final point, here's what President Trump truthed this week. Quote,
- 16:30Speaker 2: based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein,
- 16:34Speaker 2: I have asked Attorney General Pambondi to produce any and
- 16:36Speaker 2: all pertinent grand jury testimony, subject to court approval. This
- 16:41Speaker 2: scam perpetuated by the Democrats should end right now. Bravo,
- 16:47Speaker 2: release it all. That was right in the principles we
- 16:50Speaker 2: said right up front.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Aim into that, and let's talk about some winning. That's
- 16:54Speaker 1: been taking place Center. It's been amazing what the President
- 16:58Speaker 1: has been able to do with Benjamin retires winning. I'm
- 17:01Speaker 1: not tired. I'm not tired of winning, that's for sure.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I'm not tired at all.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you look at just the last six months the
- 17:07Speaker 1: Trump administration. We've secured the border, they've launched ice raids,
- 17:11Speaker 1: They've ended child gender surgeries, they designated the cartels as
- 17:16Speaker 1: terrorist organizations. They've kicked out DII out of government, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: then the big one, which should make so many taxpayers happy,
- 17:24Speaker 1: they have defunded MPR with your help and leadership. That
- 17:28Speaker 1: is amazing.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Well, I got to say this, this week was a
- 17:31Speaker 2: very important week. So at two twenty in the morning,
- 17:36Speaker 2: late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning, the Senate voted, and
- 17:40Speaker 2: we voted to defund NPR and defund PBS. Now, as
- 17:43Speaker 2: a conservative, I have been fighting to defund NPR and
- 17:46Speaker 2: PBS as long as I can remember. NPR PBS have
- 17:50Speaker 2: been left wing propaganda outlets forever, and as bad as
- 17:56Speaker 2: they were. Look when we were kids, when it was
- 17:58Speaker 2: Sesame Street and Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. Okay,
- 18:02Speaker 2: that was fine, But in recent years they had been radicalized.
- 18:07Speaker 2: They always lean left, but in recent years they've been
- 18:11Speaker 2: open outlets for left wing propaganda. And I got to say,
- 18:16Speaker 2: the left was certain we could never defund them, and
- 18:19Speaker 2: I will tell you on the Senate floor, as we
- 18:21Speaker 2: were taking up the recisions package, so President Trump sent
- 18:25Speaker 2: a package of some nine billion dollars of recisions federal
- 18:28Speaker 2: spendings to call back. We were battling on the floor
- 18:33Speaker 2: and we had it was beyond two in the morning.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It was very unclear if we were going to prevail,
- 18:38Speaker 2: because I got to say, there were several Republicans who
- 18:41Speaker 2: were wobbly. There were several Republicans who were threatening to
- 18:45Speaker 2: vote with the Democrats, and as late as about two
- 18:48Speaker 2: in the morning, I didn't know if we were going
- 18:50Speaker 2: to win. We did prevail, and I got to say,
- 18:53Speaker 2: what a testament to the president, And what a testament.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Let me give you just a shout out to Senate
- 18:59Speaker 2: Republicans and House Republicans for coming together, for pushing past
- 19:02Speaker 2: their differences. Defunding NPR and PBS is the right thing
- 19:06Speaker 2: to do, and the Senate finally, finally finally voted to
- 19:10Speaker 2: do that this week.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah, this is such a big message I think to
- 19:14Speaker 1: taxpayers that were no longer in the business of just
- 19:18Speaker 1: completely abusing your tax dours and actually using your tax
- 19:23Speaker 1: dollars to go for political purposes. Which is the scariest
- 19:27Speaker 1: part of all of this is how political these dollars
- 19:30Speaker 1: had become advocating for radical, extreme things against family values.
- 19:36Speaker 1: And by the way, I don't want our tax dolls
- 19:37Speaker 1: going for conservative things for sarcasting either. I want to
- 19:42Speaker 1: make that very clear, like that's not what we're advocating.
- 19:44Speaker 2: For at all. The government should not be in the
- 19:46Speaker 2: propaganda business. This is the argument I made on the
- 19:49Speaker 2: Senate floor. So listen to what I stood up and
- 19:52Speaker 2: urged my colleagues late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning. Give
- 19:56Speaker 2: a listen.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Public broadcasting has long been overtaken by partisan activists, plain
- 20:02Speaker 4: and simple.
- 20:03Speaker 2: This isn't just an abstract critique.
- 20:05Speaker 4: NPR and PBS have revealed their left wing bias time
- 20:09Speaker 4: and time again. When blowing the whistle on NPR, Uri Berliner,
- 20:14Speaker 4: a former senior editor himself a left wing Democrat, wrote
- 20:18Speaker 4: that quote, NPR has always had a liberal bent. An
- 20:22Speaker 4: open minded spirit no longer exists within NPR. We don't
- 20:27Speaker 4: have an audience that reflects America. Exhibit a after The New
- 20:32Speaker 4: York Post broke the Hunter Biden laptop story, NPR ran
- 20:36Speaker 4: political cover for the Democrats, refusing to cover the story, quote,
- 20:41Speaker 4: we don't want to waste listeners and readers time on
- 20:44Speaker 4: stories that are just pure distractions. Mind you, the story
- 20:48Speaker 4: was true, That's why they didn't want to cover it.
- 20:51Speaker 4: As for PBS, its coverage of last year's DNC was
- 20:55Speaker 4: only twelve percent negative, the RNC a stat baggering seventy
- 21:01Speaker 4: two percent negative. If you want to watch left wing propaganda,
- 21:05Speaker 4: turn on MSNBC, but the taxpayers should not be forced
- 21:10Speaker 4: to subsidize it.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I urge a no vote on this amendment.
- 21:14Speaker 1: That obviously was very powerful, and the facts that you
- 21:17Speaker 1: laid out there are also incredibly accurate.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Look, the principle is simple, and I'll say it again.
- 21:22Speaker 2: If you want to watch left wing propaganda, turn on
- 21:26Speaker 2: MSNBC or for that matter, CNN, or for that matter,
- 21:29Speaker 2: read the New York Times or any of a host
- 21:31Speaker 2: of corporate media outlets. But you know what we shouldn't
- 21:34Speaker 2: be doing is using your taxpayer money to subsidize it.
- 21:38Speaker 2: And I got to say, I'm going to give a
- 21:40Speaker 2: shout out to my colleague John Kennedy. John is a
- 21:43Speaker 2: good friend, but he also is a fabulous sense of humor.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I want you to listen to John Kennedy talking about
- 21:49Speaker 2: NPR some of the most radical stories they've run.
- 21:52Speaker 5: I want to give you a few examples of stories
- 21:54Speaker 5: that NPR has published using taxpayer money. Read the headlines.
- 22:01Speaker 5: First headline in PR News Service, Michael Abanatti quote a
- 22:09Speaker 5: profile of the media savvy attorney they love Michael l Abanatti.
- 22:16Speaker 5: You know where Michael Abanatti is today. He's in jail.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You know why.
- 22:22Speaker 5: He's a crook. But for a while he was a
- 22:27Speaker 5: media darling on NPR. Here's another headline from NPR, how
- 22:34Speaker 5: racism became a marketing tool for country music. I kid
- 22:40Speaker 5: you not. The American taxpayers are spending half a billion
- 22:44Speaker 5: dollars a year to pay a local station to buy
- 22:49Speaker 5: content that says country music is racist. Here's another headline
- 22:58Speaker 5: from NPR, Donald Trump's long embrace of Vlatimer Pewtin. Remember
- 23:06Speaker 5: the Russia Gate, the Steel dossier. NPR was right in
- 23:15Speaker 5: there promoting it. A couple more headlines that NPR is
- 23:21Speaker 5: putting out there using your tax dollars. This headline, monuments
- 23:27Speaker 5: and teams have changed names. Let me say the game
- 23:31Speaker 5: monuments and teams, presumably sports teams had changed names as America.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Reckons with racism. Birds are next. I don't know any
- 23:45Speaker 5: birds that are racist. Here's another headline, eating less beef
- 23:51Speaker 5: is a climate solution. Eating less beef is a climate solution.
- 24:00Speaker 5: I don't have anything against vegetarians. I'm a semi vegetarian myself.
- 24:06Speaker 5: I eat beef and beef and tows eat eat grass,
- 24:10Speaker 5: So that makes me a semi vegetarian. But that's my choice,
- 24:16Speaker 5: not on NPR. Eating less beef is a climate solution.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Here's why that's hard for some American men. Here's the
- 24:24Speaker 5: final headline. I could go on the rest of the evening.
- 24:27Speaker 5: How the Taliband adds to Afghanistan's woes when it comes
- 24:33Speaker 5: to climate fueled disaster. Boy, I can tell you that's
- 24:36Speaker 5: on the mind of every person in Afghanistan today is
- 24:39Speaker 5: climate change and the Taliband. I can guarantee you I
- 24:45Speaker 5: don't have a problem with these headlines. This is America.
- 24:49Speaker 5: If you want to publish articles like this, which no
- 24:54Speaker 5: person with a brain above a single cell organism would
- 24:58Speaker 5: call fare and balanced. If you're a news outlet and
- 25:02Speaker 5: you want to publish this kind of stuff. That is
- 25:04Speaker 5: your right as an American. We have freedom of the press,
- 25:08Speaker 5: we have the First Amendment. You're not free in our
- 25:10Speaker 5: country if you can't say what you think. You're not
- 25:13Speaker 5: free in our country if you can't express yourself. I'm
- 25:17Speaker 5: all for this, if that's what these outlets want to do,
- 25:22Speaker 5: but I'm not for taking five hundred million dollars every
- 25:27Speaker 5: single year and giving it to these stations to the
- 25:33Speaker 5: exclusion of everybody else, so they can do it.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Aim into that, Senator, I couldn't agree with your colleague
- 25:40Speaker 1: and good friend, Senator Kennedy. More.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I love John Kennedy. I will say he said something
- 25:45Speaker 2: in that. As you know, I'm married to California vegetarian.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Her entire family are all vegetarians. And an argument I
- 25:51Speaker 2: make with my in laws often as I say, listen,
- 25:54Speaker 2: all the animals I eat, they're all vegetarian. And I
- 25:58Speaker 2: will say, you've owned a barbecue restaurant. I am a
- 26:01Speaker 2: proud carnivore. John Kennedy is fantastic. But NPR and PBS
- 26:06Speaker 2: are a joke. And we have reason to celebrate because
- 26:10Speaker 2: despite a massive battle, we.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Won.
- 26:14Speaker 2: The Senate voted to cut off to zero out textpayer funding.
- 26:19Speaker 2: We're no longer paying for left wing propaganda.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Senator, there is just some news that shocked the left.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I don't know how this could be true, but The
- 26:30Speaker 1: Late Show has been destroyed by Stephen Colbert at the
- 26:34Speaker 1: point where they're like, we're not even just firing you,
- 26:36Speaker 1: We're just canceling the entire brand that has been a
- 26:40Speaker 1: staple in American culture, an iconic show for decades. And
- 26:45Speaker 1: now they're just like, yeah, we're done. I mean, it's amazing, right,
- 26:49Speaker 1: you alienate half the country, you hate half the country,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you mock half the country. No one could have seen
- 26:54Speaker 1: this coming.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Well, look, I got to say you and I talked
- 26:58Speaker 2: about just a few minutes ago. I'm not tired of
- 27:01Speaker 2: winning yet. Stephen Colbert is a vicious, dishonest, partisan leftist.
- 27:09Speaker 2: He is utterly consumed with Trump derangement syndrome, and he hates,
- 27:15Speaker 2: he despises more than half of America. He thinks we're idiots,
- 27:20Speaker 2: he thinks we're racist, he thinks were morons. He is
- 27:24Speaker 2: a condescending, arrogant jackass. Now look I say this with
- 27:30Speaker 2: direct experience. I've been on Colbert Show. There used to
- 27:34Speaker 2: be a time listen. I'm someone I love comedy. I
- 27:37Speaker 2: love late night comedy. I grew up watching in SNL.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I grew up watching Johnny Carson and Jay Leno and
- 27:43Speaker 2: like really fun late night comedy. And by the way,
- 27:47Speaker 2: if you've got a sense of humor, you can laugh
- 27:49Speaker 2: at both sides. I'm okay with late night comics making
- 27:52Speaker 2: fun of Republicans making fun of Democrats. Look, both sides
- 27:55Speaker 2: are funny. There's lots of jokes to tell. There used
- 27:58Speaker 2: to be a time. I've been the Senate thirteen years.
- 28:01Speaker 2: When I got there, it was part of the job.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I've done just about every late night show. I've done
- 28:06Speaker 2: Jay Leno, I've done Colbert, I've done Jimmy Kimmel, I've
- 28:11Speaker 2: done Jimmy Fallon. It was a fun part of the job.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's disappeared. None of the late night shows have Republicans
- 28:19Speaker 2: on anymore. They don't invite anyone. And in fact, it
- 28:22Speaker 2: was really fitting Stephen Colbert's show where he announced I've
- 28:26Speaker 2: been canceled, I'm pulled off the air. You know who
- 28:29Speaker 2: His guest was, Adam Shiff, because of course it was
- 28:32Speaker 2: Adam Schiff because and Colbert's the worst of them he's
- 28:36Speaker 2: a vicious, nasty So I remember when I first did
- 28:39Speaker 2: a show, you know, you know, the hosts come by
- 28:42Speaker 2: and they talk to you in the green room and
- 28:44Speaker 2: they chat with you, and you know, I said, look
- 28:48Speaker 2: like all of these late night comics, they think they're
- 28:50Speaker 2: going to be you know that they're going to be
- 28:53Speaker 2: this like meet the press, like we're going to ask
- 28:56Speaker 2: you really tough questions. By the way, Democrat they have
- 29:00Speaker 2: love fests. They laugh, they joke, they kid around, But
- 29:04Speaker 2: with the Republicans, they're going to nail you to the ground.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And I'm like, look, you want to ask tough questions,
- 29:10Speaker 2: that's fine, but you go on a late night comedy
- 29:12Speaker 2: showed to to to humanize, to say a little bit
- 29:15Speaker 2: of who you are, to laugh, and Colbert just got angry.
- 29:18Speaker 2: He's just like, I want to prove you are evil.
- 29:22Speaker 2: You are the devil. And by the way, they don't
- 29:24Speaker 2: even do that anymore. They just don't have Republicans on
- 29:27Speaker 2: and and Colbert, of all of them, was the worst.
- 29:30Speaker 2: By the way, Jimmy Fallon of the Late Night Guys
- 29:32Speaker 2: is the best. Yeah, Fallin, you know, it's interesting. Fallon
- 29:36Speaker 2: inherited Jay Leno's audience Jay Leno inherited Johnny Carson's audience.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Their audience is a lot of Midwestern conservatives. And so
- 29:46Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon like like, I had a great time. I
- 29:48Speaker 2: did Jimmy Fallon back back when I was running for president.
- 29:51Speaker 2: He had a very funny skit where he dressed up
- 29:54Speaker 2: as as Donald Trump and and called me and went
- 29:57Speaker 2: back and forth. But he was he was the one
- 29:59Speaker 2: late night host who was not a jerk. Actually Leno
- 30:03Speaker 2: wasn't either, but that was that was early on. Colbert
- 30:08Speaker 2: is directly responsible, along with his compatriots, with destroying late
- 30:12Speaker 2: night comedy.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And I want to play, by the way, it's because
- 30:15Speaker 1: it wasn't humor.
- 30:17Speaker 2: It's not funny.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's just you.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I hate you. It is not funny.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah. It's also, by the way, the reason why I
- 30:23Speaker 1: think Shank Gillis was at the SP's because historics like humor.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Humor is actually back. And Colbert turned his show into
- 30:31Speaker 1: this like sanctimonious woke lecture every night, attacking half of America.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Well, and let me prove it. I want to play
- 30:38Speaker 2: just just a a selection of you know, he became
- 30:43Speaker 2: this this like scold for you must get the COVID vaccine.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And here are a couple of examples of this bizarre
- 30:51Speaker 2: song he did. You're gonna listen to it. I wish
- 30:53Speaker 2: you could see the videos because the videos have him
- 30:56Speaker 2: dancing like a fruitcake nut uh dressed as a human syringe.
- 31:02Speaker 2: But just listen to it because you can get a
- 31:04Speaker 2: sense of just how sanctimonious he was. Give a listen.
- 31:07Speaker 6: Find out the way the vaccine is changing the scene
- 31:10Speaker 6: in our new recurring segment, the vac scene.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Job longer stole.
- 31:37Speaker 6: Why the can can you ask? I asked that myself.
- 31:40Speaker 6: The answer public domain.
- 31:45Speaker 3: It's the answer of most things, really, the vaccine.
- 32:02Speaker 6: The vaccine we have sne.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Get your shot right now in your arm, your mom,
- 32:15Speaker 2: get your shot, Mom, get your shot.
- 32:26Speaker 1: But by the way, I just wonder, like how many
- 32:29Speaker 1: of those segments had vaccine commercials from pharmaceutical companies in there,
- 32:33Speaker 1: and it's like, hey, I got you. I'll do a
- 32:34Speaker 1: big thing they.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Play in Stephens there sponsored by Pfizer.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Right exactly, they put this thing out. It's ten minutes
- 32:41Speaker 1: and forty nine seconds long. By the way, I say
- 32:44Speaker 1: they literally the video we just played from you was
- 32:46Speaker 1: the quote vaccine. The box set The Late Show with
- 32:49Speaker 1: Stephen Colbert. They put this out themselves and were that
- 32:54Speaker 1: proud of it.
- 32:55Speaker 2: No, they were proud of it. And it's it's vicious,
- 32:59Speaker 2: it's nasty, and it's not funny. I'm fine with a
- 33:05Speaker 2: comedy host that makes fun of everyone. That's you know,
- 33:08Speaker 2: one of my favorite movies. And we didn't include this
- 33:10Speaker 2: one we did on July fourth our movie section. But
- 33:13Speaker 2: one of my favorite movies was Team America World Police.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Did you ever see that?
- 33:17Speaker 1: Ben?
- 33:18Speaker 5: Oh?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah, great movie.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Hysterical movie, and it's done. It is. It's puppets and
- 33:25Speaker 2: it makes fun of both sides. It make fun of Republicans,
- 33:27Speaker 2: but it makes fun of democrats. And now I will
- 33:30Speaker 2: warn you it is profane. I had the incredibly poor
- 33:33Speaker 2: judgment to play this video for my in laws on
- 33:36Speaker 2: a family vacation, and I will tell you about nine
- 33:40Speaker 2: minutes into it, when they had dropped the thirty second
- 33:44Speaker 2: F bomb, I was like, okay, wow, this was a
- 33:46Speaker 2: really bad idea, and my mother in law is frowning
- 33:48Speaker 2: at me, and I'm like, wow, okay, never mind. But
- 33:52Speaker 2: unbelievably funny because it's actually comedy. It's making fun just
- 33:58Speaker 2: watching Stephen Colbert say I hate Donald Trump. Yes, Stephen,
- 34:02Speaker 2: we got you. But you know what, Stephen Colbert is
- 34:06Speaker 2: now unemployed.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Don't forget Share this podcast wherever you can with your
- 34:10Speaker 1: family and your friends, and I'll see you back here
- 34:11Speaker 1: tomorrow
