One of the prophecies that weaves its way through both the Old and the New Testaments is the giving of Israel and the Messiah as the Light to the Nations. Jesus, himself, speaks about light, and how he is the Light of the World. This Light draws all men to God, and is found in many place in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others.
