- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things. And it's to me through good Steve
- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to the other for st Please, I don't join
- 0:50Speaker 1: join me. You gotta turn you are you gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out? Turn? You haven't got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn the water the water got me?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your tha U. I sure will a
- 2:04Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I got a radio show. Okay, this is timely for everybody.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm sure I want to offer you all or some
- 2:25Speaker 1: encouragement because everybody needed. Let me tell you something. You
- 2:34Speaker 1: strike out on your goals, you strike out on your aspirations,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and so you strike out, as it happens to all
- 2:43Speaker 1: of us. Here it comes life. Life just hits one
- 2:50Speaker 1: of them bad notes, as it always does, as it
- 2:55Speaker 1: always does for all of us, for everybody. Now, when
- 3:02Speaker 1: those bad notes happen, when the haters come out of nowhere,
- 3:06Speaker 1: when the setback comes up, when when the out of
- 3:10Speaker 1: nowhere appears, When I didn't see that coming comes. Here's
- 3:17Speaker 1: here's what you have to do. Here is the thing
- 3:20Speaker 1: that I have been teaching myself for years that I
- 3:26Speaker 1: used to not always understand, so I'm trying to give
- 3:29Speaker 1: it to you. You have to be encouraged anyway. Now
- 3:35Speaker 1: that's difficult, Okay, Steve, what you're talking about? You just
- 3:39Speaker 1: told me all this discouraging stuff that can happen, and
- 3:42Speaker 1: you said you got to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you have to because what's happening to you right now,
- 3:53Speaker 1: the thing that you're going through right now, the thing
- 3:56Speaker 1: that everybody's going through right now. Ain't nobody don't smood sailing. Man.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Everybody got something and if they, if they don't smooth sailing,
- 4:05Speaker 1: just notice is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 4:12Speaker 1: happens everybody. So please stop stop getting on the old
- 4:15Speaker 1: woe is Me bandwagon? Old Lord? Why met old Lord?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Something always happened to me, something always happens to everybody.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But here's what you got to do. When you get
- 4:28Speaker 1: in moments like this, you got to be encouraged. You
- 4:31Speaker 1: got to remember in those times, in those times when
- 4:36Speaker 1: it's going wrong. You got to remember all that you've
- 4:40Speaker 1: been through. You got to remember all that you've come through.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You have to remember those other times when you felt
- 4:50Speaker 1: like this, and somehow, unexplainably you don't even really stop
- 4:55Speaker 1: to say nothing about it. It just changed for you.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And the problem that walls is no more, and the
- 5:04Speaker 1: situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it, You
- 5:09Speaker 1: got around it, you got over it. Sometimes you just
- 5:14Speaker 1: got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got to
- 5:19Speaker 1: plow through it. But in those times when it's discouraging
- 5:25Speaker 1: for you, when you feel like giving up, those are
- 5:29Speaker 1: the test. Those are the moments that will determine whether
- 5:36Speaker 1: we make it or not. I'll tell you one thing
- 5:39Speaker 1: for sure. If you give up in these moments, right
- 5:42Speaker 1: here here is a foreshow you'll never make it. That
- 5:47Speaker 1: that's unquestionably the deal. If you give up in these
- 5:52Speaker 1: dark times, if you give up in these what you
- 5:56Speaker 1: think is insurmountable moments, if you turn back now here
- 6:02Speaker 1: is the one thousand percent for shore. You ain't gonna
- 6:05Speaker 1: make it. But there's a bright side to this situation.
- 6:10Speaker 1: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,
- 6:15Speaker 1: if you keep pressing on. Sometimes if you just stand
- 6:19Speaker 1: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees. But if
- 6:22Speaker 1: you stay in that place, if you just stay there
- 6:26Speaker 1: and ride the storm out, my head is bloodied but unbowed.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If you can just stay there, if you consider in
- 6:38Speaker 1: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You
- 6:45Speaker 1: will pass the test, and you will get to move
- 6:48Speaker 1: on to the next level. But there is no next
- 6:52Speaker 1: level without a test. You can't get to grade six
- 6:56Speaker 1: without passing grade five. You can't be a senior without
- 7:01Speaker 1: first being a junior. You can't graduate without fulfilling the
- 7:07Speaker 1: hours and requirements. You see, I don't care what you
- 7:11Speaker 1: do in life. Look at it. It's all set up
- 7:14Speaker 1: on levels where you've got to accomplish the thing before
- 7:18Speaker 1: in order to get to the next level. And when
- 7:21Speaker 1: you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate. Now
- 7:25Speaker 1: you can go on and get the masters in a PhD.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You can go on and become rich. You can go
- 7:29Speaker 1: become wealthy, or you can go or you can go
- 7:32Speaker 1: somewhere and think yourself in another set of circumstances. But
- 7:36Speaker 1: you got to go through something to get to something.
- 7:39Speaker 1: There ain't nothing free. So you can stop that notion
- 7:42Speaker 1: about being successful. That is easy. Come on, man, if
- 7:45Speaker 1: it was easy, what we are, what we're talking about,
- 7:50Speaker 1: It is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.
- 7:55Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than becoming successful.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You want to know what that is, Try not being
- 8:02Speaker 1: successful your whole life. That's hard. You are listening to
- 8:08Speaker 1: a person who has done them both been successful and
- 8:14Speaker 1: really really been not successful. And I got news for you.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Both of them hard. But I would rather deal with
- 8:22Speaker 1: what it is to be something, to make something out
- 8:25Speaker 1: of myself, to force myself to go to work when
- 8:28Speaker 1: I don't feel like it. This morning was a rough
- 8:30Speaker 1: get up for me, but I got up and I
- 8:33Speaker 1: said thank you anyway. Never give up. And I don't
- 8:37Speaker 1: watch this dude too. He even mess around and got
- 8:39Speaker 1: close to me because he just never gave up. You
- 8:42Speaker 1: can never ever give up. Never. It's not an option.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Giving up cannot be an option for you. You cannot
- 8:52Speaker 1: do that. It's out of the question. It's ain't conceivable
- 8:56Speaker 1: in your mind to quit, because to quit, it's to
- 9:00Speaker 1: what what you get when you quit nothing. That is
- 9:04Speaker 1: a reward for those who hang in there, who never
- 9:08Speaker 1: give up, who forged through, who see it through. Who
- 9:11Speaker 1: getting knocked down and get back up? Who gets trampled
- 9:15Speaker 1: but somehow gathers themselves and get back to your knees.
- 9:19Speaker 1: But stay in that place, man, don't ever give up.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Don't let go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through,
- 9:25Speaker 1: Think of all you come through. Think of all He's
- 9:27Speaker 1: done for you. Think of all the times you thought
- 9:30Speaker 1: you wasn't gonna make it, but somehow, without you ever
- 9:33Speaker 1: even saying thank you, he got through. He got you
- 9:35Speaker 1: through it. Anyway. That's that thing called grace. Now we
- 9:38Speaker 1: kind of need that in our life. All I need
- 9:42Speaker 1: is a little more grace. You can't give God no
- 9:46Speaker 1: money for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free. It's available
- 9:49Speaker 1: to everybody. But you can't get none if you quit.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Don't give up. I'll just tell you that flat out.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Don't ever give you're listening, ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know what. It's a new year, everybody. Man. When
- 10:13Speaker 1: you look at God, I can't believe it. I'm so grateful.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He gave me another shot, he gave me another trip
- 10:20Speaker 1: around the sun. He let me see another year. It
- 10:23Speaker 1: is twenty twenty three. Do you understand that if you
- 10:28Speaker 1: are over fifty, bass had to have been a time
- 10:32Speaker 1: where you wouldn't really show about getting to twenty twenty
- 10:35Speaker 1: three or some other year. If you're over fifty, you've
- 10:39Speaker 1: had a scare. It might have been an accident, it
- 10:41Speaker 1: might have been a health crisis, it might have been something.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what I show. Glad I'm here man.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Gratitude baby, Yes, yes, So as we gather, we want
- 10:55Speaker 1: to say happy New Year to everybody. We want to
- 10:57Speaker 1: say time is of the essence. I got my foot
- 11:01Speaker 1: on the gas pedal because I'm grateful that he led me.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I have a foot to put on the pedal, so
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm putting it on that man. Twenty twenty three is
- 11:08Speaker 1: the Jordan year. Jordan's number was twenty three. I'm playing
- 11:12Speaker 1: on putting up numbers like never before. This is your
- 11:15Speaker 1: Jordan year. If you're a basketball fan, and if you're
- 11:18Speaker 1: not a basketball fan, this is just twenty twenty three.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And give God the glory and let's get it on.

- 14:37Speaker 1: to reach out to you. But what I won't take long.
- 14:40Speaker 1: But it really is a hurt. All right, Well that

- 14:45Speaker 1: hold on, let me let me step away from our tubercle. Hello. Hello, yeah, okay,
- 14:52Speaker 1: so what's uh, brother Brinkley speech? Truly okay. We have
- 14:57Speaker 1: a bit of a problem here and we try to
- 15:00Speaker 1: We're trying to clean up a lot of things here
- 15:02Speaker 1: at the church. You know, I hate to be the
- 15:04Speaker 1: one to bring you some bad news. Let me just
- 15:08Speaker 1: start by by saying that God might not be through
- 15:11Speaker 1: with you, but we are here at the church. It
- 15:15Speaker 1: has been brought to our tension, Uh, Sister car that
- 15:19Speaker 1: you guys are halfway coming to church and you you
- 15:21Speaker 1: you might come once once out of a month. You're
- 15:24Speaker 1: not tithing as we expected. You know, the church can't
- 15:28Speaker 1: really depend on you. Um, it's you you got you know,
- 15:31Speaker 1: you bring your kids. I think your brother comes to
- 15:33Speaker 1: the church, but everybody is coming every now and then.
- 15:37Speaker 1: We cannot depend on you all to be the members
- 15:41Speaker 1: and have the expectation of what we're trying to say.
- 15:46Speaker 1: You say your name, yes, and you work, you work
- 15:52Speaker 1: under the Dacian. I'm sorry, I've never heard of you before.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I have been officiated by the pastor as I'm over
- 16:00Speaker 1: actually over the finance and we're going through all of
- 16:02Speaker 1: the books and looking at all of the numbers of
- 16:05Speaker 1: the of the members of the church and directory, and
- 16:08Speaker 1: we're noticing what people are panside, what people aren't fans I,
- 16:11Speaker 1: who's coming to church, who's participating in different and different
- 16:15Speaker 1: UH ministries and whatnot. And since it takar I got,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I had to be honest with you. You are maybe
- 16:21Speaker 1: once every one of the mind. We might see you
- 16:24Speaker 1: might not see you, you know, and like I said,
- 16:27Speaker 1: God may not be through with you, but we are well, okay,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you've been saying that this. Listen, why I don't understand,
- 16:36Speaker 1: like y'all monitoring my my my church going like I can't,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I can't I have to go every single week. I mean,
- 16:45Speaker 1: when why are you absence so much at the church
- 16:48Speaker 1: explaining that, I mean, I have three kids, you know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I mean, I y'ob sometimes I don't. I mean, I
- 16:56Speaker 1: still pray, I don't understand how a church can Are you, y'all?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Stories you got two jobs, But we're not getting tied
- 17:04Speaker 1: like you got two jobs. You're not tiding like you
- 17:06Speaker 1: got two jobs because I can't afford you just you
- 17:10Speaker 1: just said I got two jobs. That's what you just said,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and that those two jobs are in supporting my chid.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I mean, I can't support the church and my kids.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's the same term, kid, you both. I mean, I
- 17:20Speaker 1: I give when I can. Let me ask you something.
- 17:24Speaker 1: What are you making on that other job? Are you serious?
- 17:28Speaker 1: Are you really? You? Really? You? Really? I didn't know
- 17:32Speaker 1: the church? God? Is this deep within you? Really asking
- 17:36Speaker 1: me how much I make? And my fucking y'all that
- 17:39Speaker 1: ipe to support my kids? Cool? Now? Did this gotta
- 17:43Speaker 1: be something? This is I'm gonna say this to you again.
- 17:47Speaker 1: God may not be through with you, but we are you.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You are not gonna pay your tides. If you're not
- 17:55Speaker 1: gonna come to work on a consistent basis, then what
- 17:59Speaker 1: what do you benefit? The church? Is that what the
- 18:02Speaker 1: church is about? This can be I'm gonna say this.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this to you. You let me tell
- 18:07Speaker 1: you what the church is all about. The churches, Hey,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and you say we do with you again one more time.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I'm serious. No, I'm gonna tell you this. You're talking
- 18:17Speaker 1: about this that what the church is about. Let me
- 18:18Speaker 1: tell you what the church is. The church is a
- 18:21Speaker 1: hospital for cripple souls. You understand that. That's what Okay,
- 18:26Speaker 1: that's what the church is. But when when we have
- 18:29Speaker 1: the souls that are coming in to be saved, we
- 18:32Speaker 1: are doing our job. And guess what those people that
- 18:36Speaker 1: are coming and you know what they're doing. They're tithing.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's what they're doing. They're tithing you, sister Takara, and
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm sure your soul's crippled. You're not coming and you're
- 18:46Speaker 1: not tithing. You may give us a little some something
- 18:49Speaker 1: when you show up, if you show up. Am I right?
- 18:52Speaker 1: A wrong? Okay? Hold up, let me get this straight.
- 18:57Speaker 1: This is what you call me for in the middle
- 18:59Speaker 1: of my work day to tell me that you're kicking
- 19:03Speaker 1: me out the church because I don't give enough money
- 19:06Speaker 1: to the church while I'm at my job that I
- 19:10Speaker 1: can barely afford to pay my bills with. Not a fact,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I don't even know who you are. I've never met
- 19:16Speaker 1: you in my life, and I don't you know what
- 19:19Speaker 1: this church? You know, this church. I hate to say it,
- 19:22Speaker 1: but if that's what the church is about, you had
- 19:24Speaker 1: the nerve to call me. I'm plan people on sho Okay,
- 19:31Speaker 1: Na na, na na. Let me say something. Now, you're
- 19:33Speaker 1: being very Unchristian like. Nah, just the car you're gonna
- 19:38Speaker 1: watch you done in your language him, this is not
- 19:41Speaker 1: Christian life. Well do you do you know? Brother Dwayne?
- 19:45Speaker 1: Isn't that your brothers? Okay? And my brother Duwayne is
- 19:50Speaker 1: who told me to call you? Really my brother? So what? So?
- 19:55Speaker 1: What is it about? Hum? Brother whatever? I don't know name.
- 20:00Speaker 1: My name is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Your brother Dwayne got me to prank phone call you. No,
- 20:13Speaker 1: oh my gosh, you know he's about to get me
- 20:19Speaker 1: buy you from this job. I'm in the lobby screaming
- 20:22Speaker 1: up looking at me. Oh my harsh you are right, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: what's up? No? No, normal, Oh my god, oh my god,
- 20:38Speaker 1: my heart is racing. Tell me it's the car. What
- 20:42Speaker 1: is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show
- 20:45Speaker 1: in the land, Steve Harvey, Go ahead, all right, thanks,
- 20:54Speaker 1: coming up, It is asked the CLO Chief Love Office
- 20:57Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey in the building ready for your love questions.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening coming up at the top
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the hour. And entertainment news. Steve Harvey's daughter, Laurie
- 21:10Speaker 1: Harvey with her beautiful self is on the cover of
- 21:13Speaker 1: the January February issue of Essence magazine. Girl. Also, actress
- 21:21Speaker 1: Gabrielle Union admits to being a cheater in her first marriage,
- 21:26Speaker 1: and yeah, she opens up about that. And Angela Bassett's son,
- 21:30Speaker 1: did you guys see this apology? Yeah, after pranking his
- 21:37Speaker 1: parents by participating in a fake celebrity TikTok death trend. Okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: we'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:45Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 21:48Speaker 1: ask the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. All right, Steve,
- 21:54Speaker 1: Caroline and Mana Cello says, I've been married for twenty
- 21:57Speaker 1: five years and my husband is the best husband in
- 22:01Speaker 1: the world. I don't want to lose him, but I
- 22:05Speaker 1: need to tell him that I fooled around with his
- 22:07Speaker 1: uncle when we were home for the holiday. That's a
- 22:14Speaker 1: little close to the family. Now, wait a minute, I
- 22:17Speaker 1: really enjoyed it, but I told his uncle it could
- 22:20Speaker 1: never happen again. How do I confess this celo to
- 22:25Speaker 1: my husband? This is so wrong. I don't think you do.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I don't what is this statement? You made something? I
- 22:34Speaker 1: have to tell my husband. How you think this's gonna
- 22:36Speaker 1: go Lady? Your marriage will be oval and you could
- 22:40Speaker 1: run the risk of your husband going to jail. It's
- 22:44Speaker 1: so many things can go wrong here. And now look
- 22:46Speaker 1: you've made the mistake. You told him it could never
- 22:49Speaker 1: happen again. Yea. Now, if you really mean that, you
- 22:53Speaker 1: ask God for forgiveness, you get back up on the horse,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and you start back to riding again second time. I
- 23:03Speaker 1: probably shouldn't say that. You don't get back up on
- 23:08Speaker 1: noble horses. You don't get up on stay your fast
- 23:16Speaker 1: ass down. She really enjoyed it, which means she's considering
- 23:21Speaker 1: it again if you're going to do it, okay, let
- 23:25Speaker 1: me tell you how this works in case. And I
- 23:27Speaker 1: was ill tell this to my kids. I told everybody.
- 23:29Speaker 1: God gives everybody a break. Your first sin, he files
- 23:35Speaker 1: a warning shot over your head. If you do the
- 23:38Speaker 1: same sin again, the next shot takes a little piece
- 23:42Speaker 1: of ear meat off. Just if you do it a
- 23:48Speaker 1: third time, the next bullet is writing your teeth. It
- 23:54Speaker 1: just get coyle. That's that third one. Now you got
- 23:59Speaker 1: the warning shot. If you go back again, it's gonna
- 24:02Speaker 1: be a piece of ear meat. Second shot, if you
- 24:05Speaker 1: go back a third time, you're gonna get it in
- 24:07Speaker 1: the teeth. Now here's a deal. You don't seem like
- 24:10Speaker 1: you're showing any remorse. You told him it can never
- 24:13Speaker 1: happen to him. But now you tell my mom that
- 24:14Speaker 1: you enjoyed it. So what means you're considering it because
- 24:17Speaker 1: you haven't had any repercussions. But I'll tell you what.
- 24:19Speaker 1: If you go in there to that man and confess this,
- 24:23Speaker 1: it's over. It's all wrapped because you low down, not
- 24:28Speaker 1: the uncle. He did it too. Wow. That boy's daddy's brother,
- 24:35Speaker 1: yeah's brother yeah, or mother's brother. Yeah. We're gonna move on.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Steve to Melina in Pittsburgh. Melina says, I allowed my
- 24:46Speaker 1: husband to have a hall pass with my best friend's sister.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But this is craziness right, happy to everybody. I allowed
- 24:58Speaker 1: my husband to have a hall pass with my best
- 25:00Speaker 1: friend's sister, but I told him I had to be present.
- 25:05Speaker 1: He did it without me knowing, and that wasn't the plan.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I feel like if he snuck and did it once,
- 25:12Speaker 1: he'll do it again. Should I be worried? What? Hey? Stupid, Hey, stupid?
- 25:18Speaker 1: You gave him a hall pass. He decided he needs
- 25:23Speaker 1: you to see the pass because what he doing at
- 25:28Speaker 1: the hall pass is you don't need to see this
- 25:31Speaker 1: hill because he got a special performance that he'd been
- 25:35Speaker 1: waiting for your best friend's sister for a long time.
- 25:39Speaker 1: So he and that clown, so he didn't need you
- 25:43Speaker 1: to see it. So would he do it again? Why
- 25:46Speaker 1: did you give him permission? See, you can't open the
- 25:50Speaker 1: door and shut it too. You ain't the lord. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:54Speaker 1: what kind of plan was that? Anyway, he didn't stick. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 1: you don't need to be here. You said I could
- 26:05Speaker 1: watch it because you're gonna have instructions that much. Stop.
- 26:10Speaker 1: All right, this is over. I don't like it. I
- 26:13Speaker 1: changed my mind. Put your clothes on now it's too late.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Now moving on to Bunny and Richmond. Bunny says, my
- 26:22Speaker 1: husband and I've been together for four years and he
- 26:25Speaker 1: got me two pairs of the wrong size shoes and
- 26:28Speaker 1: a coat that's too big. He got it for Christmas.
- 26:31Speaker 1: He said it was a coincidence, but he may have
- 26:34Speaker 1: gotten them from a booster. Should I ask him if
- 26:38Speaker 1: the stuff is stolen before I try to return it
- 26:41Speaker 1: or would that be offensive? You don't all you got
- 26:46Speaker 1: to do to return it is safe? Maybe because I
- 26:49Speaker 1: return it for the right size, and if so, I
- 26:54Speaker 1: love it, but I just need to get the right size.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Do you have receipts? That's all you got to do?
- 27:00Speaker 1: What is you taking this hot mess back down to
- 27:02Speaker 1: this stove? You're going to jail? Yes, today, codes and
- 27:10Speaker 1: stuff they they check against inventory and all this now
- 27:14Speaker 1: stuff is on computer. They showed them shoe still in inventory,
- 27:19Speaker 1: y'all and you show up back down. They've been looking
- 27:22Speaker 1: for that for that thirty eight. Yeah, so she just
- 27:25Speaker 1: really want anything but Christmas. That's it. Bottom line. You
- 27:30Speaker 1: wear you're doing European sizes and all that thirty Ye
- 27:36Speaker 1: you got nothing that thirty eight on. If you want
- 27:38Speaker 1: to over the front, feel like that he stabbing you
- 27:44Speaker 1: in the middle of your pa. You ain't got the
- 27:47Speaker 1: right side. You got to disperse that weight, baby, don't
- 27:50Speaker 1: ask you man for the receipt A big girl, Thank you?
- 27:55Speaker 1: All right? Last one, Steve, last one, Tatum and Minkmory says,
- 28:00Speaker 1: I've been divorced for two years and my ex wife
- 28:04Speaker 1: is still trying to have sex with me. I have
- 28:06Speaker 1: a new girlfriend now and I no longer want to
- 28:09Speaker 1: have sex with my ex. When I turn her down,
- 28:13Speaker 1: she threatens my new relationship. How can I cut her
- 28:16Speaker 1: off for good? How she threatening your new relationship? You
- 28:21Speaker 1: know what you've been doing because you've been sleeping with
- 28:23Speaker 1: your ex wife. Why are you sleeping with your new girlfriend?
- 28:26Speaker 1: And she gonna tell it for two years? God, that's
- 28:31Speaker 1: how I go, man, That's how I go. Dog, You don't.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. Why you going back?
- 28:37Speaker 1: Who go back to the X? Now you go back?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Telling you? Well, who won't they ex? She wants him,
- 28:50Speaker 1: she wants him, he doesn't want her. You don't need
- 28:53Speaker 1: to insert yourself in this. Un to me and time
- 28:59Speaker 1: to tell you want to talk? Right? All right? Thank you? Hello,
- 29:17Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:20Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:22Speaker 1: You're listening well. In today's entertainment news, Steve, we have
- 29:30Speaker 1: to say congratulations to your baby girl, Laurie. Laurie is
- 29:34Speaker 1: on the cover of the January February cover of Essence magazine. Now.
- 29:39Speaker 1: In the article, which is called the Other Side of
- 29:42Speaker 1: Laurie Harvey, Laurie talks about the power, the power of
- 29:47Speaker 1: falling in love with yourself. She is unattached right now,
- 29:52Speaker 1: She's unbothered, and she's unconcerned with what anyone thinks. I
- 29:57Speaker 1: love that, I love that everything. Jesus right ahead, Laurie
- 30:07Speaker 1: with your pretty self. Yeah, she is going, what are
- 30:10Speaker 1: you talking about in Jesus name? Because you know I'm
- 30:21Speaker 1: a father, right so right of course, yeah, you know.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Laurie was a bought a little bothered by the article
- 30:26Speaker 1: because people were saying, what has she done to deserve
- 30:30Speaker 1: to be on the cover in Essence? And I told Lord,
- 30:32Speaker 1: I said, Lord, you don't have to explain stuff to people.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I will. The reason she's on the cover of Essence
- 30:40Speaker 1: is because there's a thing that God passes out. It's
- 30:43Speaker 1: called grace and favor. Man, you can say grace is undeserved, unmerited.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You can't earn it. He just passes it out randomly
- 30:55Speaker 1: to who he see fit. And she just benefited from
- 30:59Speaker 1: from grace. So I said, baby, quit trying to justify
- 31:03Speaker 1: to people who who who require an explanation that you
- 31:08Speaker 1: don't owe an explanation too. You're on the cover because
- 31:11Speaker 1: God did you a solid right father. You don't care
- 31:19Speaker 1: what anyone thinks. Then live in that. That that's okay,
- 31:23Speaker 1: that's where you have to be with it, because see,
- 31:25Speaker 1: do you know, man, most people, when you have success,
- 31:29Speaker 1: there's always a certain amount of people in your life
- 31:33Speaker 1: who are going to question that success. All of you
- 31:36Speaker 1: have experienced it. The show. Yeah, exactly what's she doing
- 31:42Speaker 1: with a with a fragrance, her candle, a live class?
- 31:45Speaker 1: What are he doing? Why he always how he always
- 31:48Speaker 1: getting there? Why don't he gives somebody else a chance? What?
- 31:52Speaker 1: You know what? Many times I've heard that one? Why
- 31:54Speaker 1: don't he give somebody else a chance? I ain't stopping
- 31:58Speaker 1: nobody from doing nothing. You go be whatever you want
- 32:03Speaker 1: to be at and let that be a lesson to everybody. Yes,
- 32:05Speaker 1: sometimes in life God just shows you grace and favor.
- 32:11Speaker 1: And have you ever heard people say favor ain't fair? Yeah?
- 32:14Speaker 1: But speak to this quickly though, because I think people
- 32:19Speaker 1: need to hear this as well. Not being concerned with
- 32:23Speaker 1: what other people think of you, what they're people are
- 32:26Speaker 1: always gonna do. You know, Look, Lorie, because she's had
- 32:30Speaker 1: to grow up in this light. She has a light
- 32:34Speaker 1: on her and it's a light you ask for. You know,
- 32:38Speaker 1: you posting, you, you, you, social media active, you all
- 32:43Speaker 1: is here, So you gotta be gonna be open to
- 32:45Speaker 1: all of this. Here people are going to have an
- 32:48Speaker 1: opinion of you, regard what you don't even whether you
- 32:55Speaker 1: ask for it, right, They're going to having a and
- 33:00Speaker 1: you know, and so you've got to develop this skin
- 33:03Speaker 1: where you know who you are and you know whose
- 33:06Speaker 1: you are exactly about that. But it's hard though you
- 33:13Speaker 1: only hear me in this world today us and man,
- 33:18Speaker 1: but it's to hear people's opinion whether you know it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: You know this people? What is the frustration? Tommy? What
- 33:24Speaker 1: say it? It's but it's so simple what we're on
- 33:31Speaker 1: the air three? Have you lost your mind? Where we're
- 33:39Speaker 1: gonna have to beep it out because yeah, you know
- 33:41Speaker 1: we have careers. I just wanted to be perfectly clear
- 33:46Speaker 1: where that came from. I was not asked the question,
- 33:52Speaker 1: you know. But at the end of the day, man,
- 33:54Speaker 1: you really have to take that attitude if you're gonna
- 33:56Speaker 1: stay sane, because we live in a culture now where
- 34:00Speaker 1: everybody has an opinion, whether you want it or not.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And the people with these opinions are not decision makers,
- 34:08Speaker 1: shakers and movers or power brokers. They sit online. Do
- 34:13Speaker 1: you know that there are people who wake up to
- 34:15Speaker 1: go online to make a negative comment about all posts
- 34:19Speaker 1: that come across their timeline and and that's what they do. Ye,
- 34:24Speaker 1: they troll laters And you just have to be ready
- 34:28Speaker 1: for that. And so you know, I'm glad she's getting
- 34:31Speaker 1: to that point. Yeah, it's hard to get there, especially
- 34:35Speaker 1: at twenty five this year. That's amazing. At twenty five,
- 34:40Speaker 1: that's amazing. And living your life in that spotlight, man,
- 34:44Speaker 1: So it sometimes, yeah, especially for women, because when you
- 34:53Speaker 1: live your life under the microscope. See, if you're not
- 34:58Speaker 1: under the microscope, you get to make your stakes in
- 35:00Speaker 1: the cloak of darkness. When you're in the spotlight, all
- 35:05Speaker 1: your mistakes in the spotlight. And and that's a tough
- 35:11Speaker 1: position to be in and you have to you have
- 35:13Speaker 1: to develop a tough skin. If that's the last, like
- 35:16Speaker 1: God willing this year, if I have my birthday, my
- 35:19Speaker 1: new model is I can't say it on the air. Well,
- 35:24Speaker 1: your nephew just went cross. I'm not my nephew cousin
- 35:28Speaker 1: a little bit, but one of the key words in
- 35:34Speaker 1: the middle of my phrases less than a God. All right, well, congratulations, Laurie.
- 35:41Speaker 1: We love you, I know it. Everybody pick up a
- 35:49Speaker 1: copy of the January February issue of Essence magazine. All right,
- 35:54Speaker 1: guys again, pick up that copy of the Essence magazine
- 35:57Speaker 1: and check out Laurie loving that Laurie Harvey. All right,
- 36:00Speaker 1: coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, it is
- 36:02Speaker 1: time to resolve to be more positive and be healthier
- 36:06Speaker 1: as well. We'll talk about it right after this you're
- 36:09Speaker 1: listening to. Well, it is the new year, and it
- 36:14Speaker 1: is time to resolve to be more positive and healthy.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And her survey has found that the average person has
- 36:21Speaker 1: up to eleven negative thoughts every day. These include things
- 36:25Speaker 1: like I'm not good enough, I'm overweight, I'm too fat,
- 36:29Speaker 1: and I'm not good looking, or I'm ugly. Those surveys
- 36:33Speaker 1: said these negative thoughts keep them from achieving their goals,
- 36:36Speaker 1: including getting healthy. So, Steve, I gotta turn to you
- 36:39Speaker 1: on this one. I have heard you say out of
- 36:43Speaker 1: your own mind. We all have on this show. Yes, well,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I've never saying I'm ugly, I'm not attractive. Yes, that's
- 36:51Speaker 1: still unhealthy older, I tell you it was even more
- 36:55Speaker 1: unhealthy looking in the mirror at your ugly ass and cut.
- 37:01Speaker 1: It is really unhealth denial. That right has to stop
- 37:07Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three. And all you see is cute.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Come on out that mirror, because now you're trying to
- 37:20Speaker 1: force upon those of us who knows something that we're
- 37:24Speaker 1: not willing to accept. But you don't consider yourself attractive.
- 37:30Speaker 1: And Tommy thinks he's drop dead gorgeous. Fine, and I'm
- 37:33Speaker 1: not gonna quit thinking this way. And I mean, I'm sorry,
- 37:36Speaker 1: I'm not doing it. I'm not gonna pick just said
- 37:40Speaker 1: you're in denial. I don't care what he's ugly. Behind said. See,
- 37:46Speaker 1: we got a problem here, we do. And we are
- 37:49Speaker 1: trying to understand where Tommy coming from. But because he's
- 37:57Speaker 1: dealing with you know, like like you can have a
- 38:01Speaker 1: sprain arm, you can have a fracttion arm, you can
- 38:04Speaker 1: have a broken arm, and you can compound fractor. Tommy's
- 38:09Speaker 1: dealing with a compound fractor. I knew you were gonna say,
- 38:13Speaker 1: I knew you were so short and waiting. Okay, okay,
- 38:23Speaker 1: let me say to cuteness. Let me say this. The
- 38:28Speaker 1: last time has he heard anybody say, hey, with your
- 38:31Speaker 1: little cute ass, I went to the car practice. Yes, yes,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and I have been I have been stretched, I have
- 38:43Speaker 1: been realigned, and I am now by ten and a half,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I am now. I've been elongated. I've been elongated. Nobody
- 38:56Speaker 1: believe that in twenty twenty three. I'm telling you you
- 38:59Speaker 1: ain't got the lacry. What you know when we get off,
- 39:02Speaker 1: when we get off to add this one, I'm gonna
- 39:03Speaker 1: measure my height and take a picture of it. Right,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I'm take a picture. You can stand up on this zoom.
- 39:16Speaker 1: If you stand up on your zoom, you still be
- 39:22Speaker 1: all right. We gotta go listen. Coming up in thirty
- 39:25Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, Gabrielle Union says she cheated
- 39:29Speaker 1: on her first husband. We'll find out what that's all about. Okay, Gabby, Okay,
- 39:34Speaker 1: happy new here. Right after this you're listening show, all right,
- 39:41Speaker 1: So you guys hear about Gabrielle Union. She let it
- 39:43Speaker 1: out that she felt entitled to cheat during her first marriage.
- 39:48Speaker 1: She was once married to X football player Chris Howard uh.
- 39:53Speaker 1: She said she felt that she could cheat because she
- 39:55Speaker 1: was the bread winner at the time. This was during
- 39:58Speaker 1: a recent conversation on a podcast, Gabrielle said, in her
- 40:01Speaker 1: first marriage, neither one of them felt like the marriage
- 40:04Speaker 1: should get in the way of their dating. Uh what
- 40:08Speaker 1: as part of it? She said, they didn't feel like
- 40:11Speaker 1: the marriage should get in the way of their dating.
- 40:13Speaker 1: A part, yeah, she said, A part of it was
- 40:17Speaker 1: like keeping up with his activities, Like, oh, that's what
- 40:20Speaker 1: you're doing. And then Gabrielle went on to say she
- 40:23Speaker 1: was paying all the bills, working her butt off, and
- 40:25Speaker 1: so she felt entitled to cheat. And as we all know,
- 40:28Speaker 1: Gabrielle Union is now in her second marriage to NBA
- 40:31Speaker 1: star Duane Wade. But um, yeah, you know, so the
- 40:37Speaker 1: bread winner, she felt entitled to cheat because she may
- 40:40Speaker 1: not site and Dione Cole said, thank you so much, Gabrielle,
- 40:46Speaker 1: I'm going out tonight. Is that's the reason, the reason,
- 40:59Speaker 1: Gabrie just go go be quiet. Man. What is this
- 41:04Speaker 1: thing that we have now where we got to tell everything? Yeah,
- 41:09Speaker 1: keep it just so we don't hear the crazy stuff
- 41:14Speaker 1: until they get ready to drop an album and drop
- 41:16Speaker 1: a CD and movie promote somewhere crazy stuff until the end,
- 41:21Speaker 1: we don't hear from it. But then when someone coming
- 41:23Speaker 1: out Oh yeah, here, come well, I'm dropping something new,

- 47:26Speaker 1: keeps the lights up a little bit longer than usual.
- 47:30Speaker 1: But we don't give a fuck about that as long
- 47:32Speaker 1: as she's happy. So okay, okay, okay, let me say

- 49:54Speaker 1: you say that when you get over. Yeah, you're talking
- 49:57Speaker 1: about my mama. Man. Okay, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 50:00Speaker 1: calm down, dude, Calm down, Okay, I'm down about what

- 52:39Speaker 1: you want to be on the phone. I don't want

- 52:45Speaker 1: You do not do well in these types of your
- 52:49Speaker 1: bad Something happened to him and then you know it's cool,
- 52:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna sue you. Why would I sue you? Well,
- 52:56Speaker 1: you ain't gonna be here. What you know? Well, you
- 53:00Speaker 1: know on his call log his uncle was the last

- 53:10Speaker 1: I don't see. That's why i'd be scared of man.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Do you know? I actually had somebody close to me
- 53:16Speaker 1: pass and when he passed, they family started looking into
- 53:20Speaker 1: my finances to see if I owed him any money. Wow,
- 53:26Speaker 1: I wanted to go do you know how much money? Out?
- 53:28Speaker 1: And loaned his ass to y'all. Luck it ain't coming
- 53:32Speaker 1: after y'all's hand. She had gone do this and be quiet?

- 54:27Speaker 1: you here. It is Strawberry letter. Thank enough you subject.
- 54:31Speaker 1: He has to step away to take calls. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I'm a thirty six year old married woman and my
- 54:39Speaker 1: husband is thirty three. We've been married for almost eight years,
- 54:43Speaker 1: and he has told me that he regrets getting married
- 54:45Speaker 1: so young. I asked him if he needed a break
- 54:48Speaker 1: from the marriage, and he said no. He told me
- 54:51Speaker 1: we could find ways to make our marriage work. So
- 54:54Speaker 1: we planned a trip back to our hometown and it
- 54:57Speaker 1: didn't work out as planned. We went for Thanksgiving and
- 55:01Speaker 1: there was a big game in town, so we barely
- 55:04Speaker 1: saw each other. I was busy with my parents and
- 55:07Speaker 1: he was out late every night. He came into my parents'
- 55:10Speaker 1: home late, and I noticed on the third night that
- 55:13Speaker 1: his cell phone was off while he slept. I asked
- 55:16Speaker 1: him about it the next morning and he said it
- 55:19Speaker 1: must have died, but it wasn't dead because I turned
- 55:22Speaker 1: it on and back off. That same night. After we
- 55:25Speaker 1: spent the time in our hometown, his attitude changed. He
- 55:29Speaker 1: started posting more pictures on Instagram, and he was constantly
- 55:34Speaker 1: on his phone scrolling through social media posts. He also
- 55:38Speaker 1: started to get phone calls late in the evening, and
- 55:41Speaker 1: he would ignore them. I would check the phone when
- 55:44Speaker 1: he wasn't around, and I could see that he'd always
- 55:46Speaker 1: delete the incoming call log. Then, over the holidays, a
- 55:50Speaker 1: few calls came in and he had to step away
- 55:54Speaker 1: to take them. It happened when we had company or
- 55:57Speaker 1: we were out, so I couldn't question him or cause
- 55:59Speaker 1: us see a New Year's Eve, we decided to stay
- 56:02Speaker 1: in and have champagne at home. He was distant and
- 56:06Speaker 1: he played with his phone all night. At the stroke
- 56:10Speaker 1: of midnight, his phone rang and he stepped outside to
- 56:15Speaker 1: take the call. He told me he was going to
- 56:17Speaker 1: see the firewall. Should I have confronted him at that
- 56:21Speaker 1: moment and ruined the beginning of a new year? What's
- 56:24Speaker 1: my husband up to? All? Right? Sis? This is bad?
- 56:29Speaker 1: This is really bad. He's really doing too much with
- 56:32Speaker 1: all of this. And yes, you should have confronted him
- 56:34Speaker 1: at that moment. Who says it would have ruined the
- 56:37Speaker 1: beginning of a new year. He's getting phone calls all night,
- 56:40Speaker 1: walking away from you to talk. It's like he hasn't
- 56:44Speaker 1: even told whoever it is, that he's got a wife.
- 56:47Speaker 1: You asked Steve and I what is your husband up to? Well,
- 56:50Speaker 1: what do you think he's up to? I mean, what
- 56:52Speaker 1: do you think he's doing. I think he's disrespecting you
- 56:55Speaker 1: right in your face. I mean, you have to say
- 56:57Speaker 1: something right then and there when it's happening. He gets
- 57:01Speaker 1: called out where the stuff happens, you know, that's when
- 57:04Speaker 1: he gets called out where he's doing it. That's it, period.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I get that you don't want to cause a scene,
- 57:10Speaker 1: you don't want to let people in your business and
- 57:12Speaker 1: all that, But when he's already doing that, he is,
- 57:16Speaker 1: he's already doing that when he steps away to take
- 57:19Speaker 1: a call. What do you think they're thinking when he
- 57:21Speaker 1: does that. The only thing he's trying to hide is
- 57:24Speaker 1: who it is. He's definitely not trying to hide the
- 57:26Speaker 1: fact that there's someone else he's talking to. Doesn't he
- 57:30Speaker 1: get that this is wrong? Doesn't he understand that? Is
- 57:34Speaker 1: that what he meant when he said he could find
- 57:37Speaker 1: ways to make the marriage work? Or you guys could
- 57:39Speaker 1: find ways to make the marriage work. It sounds like
- 57:41Speaker 1: he thinks you're stupid because you even asked him before
- 57:44Speaker 1: all of this, did he need a break from the
- 57:47Speaker 1: marriage whatever that means, and he said no. I just
- 57:52Speaker 1: think you know, as you can see these calls and
- 57:54Speaker 1: your man or just out of control. You're letting him
- 57:57Speaker 1: do whatever he wants to do and you're not saying anything.
- 58:01Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's way past time for you
- 58:03Speaker 1: to let him have it. You need to shut it down. Uh,
- 58:06Speaker 1: start with this. You got a car. I'm sure you
- 58:08Speaker 1: have a car. Well, accidentally on purpose, run over his
- 58:12Speaker 1: phone with your car today, okay, And then when he
- 58:14Speaker 1: asked you about it, do what he does. Just get
- 58:17Speaker 1: a phone call. Just get him. You heard me, you
- 58:19Speaker 1: heard me run over his phone with the car. All right,
- 58:22Speaker 1: walk away, Do what he does when he gets a
- 58:25Speaker 1: phone call when he asked you, Just walk away, Steve.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Let me just address this last comment that crazy maid
- 58:30Speaker 1: in the new year, just phone you calling? Are you
- 58:36Speaker 1: calling me crazy? Don't be man? Run over run over
- 58:42Speaker 1: it with your car. Yes, yeah, if you got to
- 58:47Speaker 1: run over your man's phone with a car, the problem
- 58:52Speaker 1: ain't the phone now, let's go to the letter. He
- 58:57Speaker 1: has to step away to take calls. Now it's thirty
- 58:59Speaker 1: six year old woman is married to a thirty three
- 59:01Speaker 1: year old man and they've been married about eight years.
- 59:05Speaker 1: He made the announcement that he regrets getting married so young.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Did the math he's be got married at twenty five,
- 59:12Speaker 1: that he is young. He has regretted it. He didn't
- 59:16Speaker 1: get the fool oats, so in season end, he didn't
- 59:19Speaker 1: get a lot of stuff out of his system. He
- 59:23Speaker 1: didn't get rid of the things he needed to get
- 59:26Speaker 1: rid of before he got married. So when he got married,
- 59:29Speaker 1: he did like a minister taught me. He found out
- 59:32Speaker 1: that the only thing changes the day after you get
- 59:35Speaker 1: married is the appearance of your left hand third finger.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I asked him if he needed a break from the marriage.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He said no, that's because most men don't want to
- 59:48Speaker 1: say let's take a break from the marriage, or don't
- 59:51Speaker 1: want to get a divorce or admit to defeat. We
- 59:54Speaker 1: just find ways around it, he said. He told me
- 59:57Speaker 1: he could find ways to make our marriage work. That
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: is the key to this whole letter. Because you should
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: have asked what all did he mean? You should have
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: had a thorough discussion about you gonna find ways to
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: make our marriage work. What you thought he said was
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: he was gonna work on the marriage. You interpret it
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: as he said he's gonna work on the marriage. You
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: didn't explore fine ways to make our marriage work, even
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: though I regret doing it so long. When I come back,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I'll explain the rest of hold that thought Steve. Coming up,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response too. He has
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: to step away to take phone calls. That is a
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: subject of today's Strawberry Letter. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour right after this.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, come on, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject is he has to step up
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: away to take calls. Yeah, yeah, he do. The reason
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: he has to step away is because is no way
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: you need to heal these phone calls. Let's just get
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: with the obvious. Now, you can't get a man at
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: least some credit. At least he's stepping away because let
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: me tell you something, if he don't step away, huh,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: he just told you in the letter he was gonna
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: find ways to make the marriage work. Well, the way
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: he found you don't need to hear this now. He
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: got it married at twenty five. My answer, we'll see,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: but see, you don't like mine because my answer the truth.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Your answer was filled with speculation. And he runs over
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: phones and stuff. Yeah, phone out and try to run
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: over with the car. Yeah as them an ass ass
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: late response. Yeah, but you guys know how you are
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: about your phone. But let's get to the care of
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: what's wrong. The problem ain't the phone. He getting new phones.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: See him called all his stuff in the clouds. He
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: getting new phone by this eating see now, because you're
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: acting funking running over cars. He gonna fix your ass
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: because he's gonna now he gonna get track phone. See,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: he gonna buy a phone at Walmart and put some
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: minutes on it. And you run over all these you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: want to that's for starters. See that's so let's just
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: understand that y'all ain't doing nothing with this phone, and
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you're gonna mess around. Ain't gonna see what track phone do.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Ain't no clouds for that, no tracking now. So thirty
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: six year old woman married this board that he was
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: twenty five. He told her one day he regrets getting
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: married so young. I asked him if he needed to
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: break from the marriage. He said no, he told me
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: find ways to make our marriage work. What you should
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: have did, like I told you, was talk to him
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: about what all he meant by that, Because what he
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: meant by that, you thought he meant he was gonna
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: work on the marriage. Now he gonna find some ways
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to make the marriage work for him. So we planned
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: the trip back to our hometown. Oh, you thought that
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: was it. You thought if y'all went back to the hometown,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: that was gonna fix it. And then she said right
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: away it didn't work out his plan because that wasn't
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: his play. See, that was y'all's plan. You said, let's
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: go back to where it all started. Well, where it
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: all started. He was twenty four where it all started.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: He was so in Oaks. So you went to Thanksgiving
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and that was a big game. In time, we barely
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: saw each other. I was busy with my parents. He
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: was laid out every night. He came into my parents'
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: home late, and I noticed the third night that his
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: cell phone was off while he slept. I asked him
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: about it the next morning. He said it must have died,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: or he could have used another excuse, and says, I
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: turned my phone off to give it some rest. Because
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: you turned this phone off at night so it could
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: recharge itself at a break every nine. Then you have
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: you know, you have to cut your phone off and
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: cut it back on again off and just let it
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: needed a break because I needed to reset it so anyway,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: but it wasn't dead because I turned it back on
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: and off the same night. That's why you used the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: other life fellas go with it. I turned it off
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to reset it. After we spent time in our hometown.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: His attitude change. He started posting most pictures on Instagram.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: He was constantly on his phone scrolling through social media
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: post Then he started to get phone calls late in
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the evening. He would ignore them, but I would check
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the phone when he wasn't around, and I could see
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: that he'd always delete the incoming call. Law my dog,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: your dog, Well he do it, and all the right
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: things to work on his marriage, to save his marriage. No,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: listen to me. I want you all to hear me
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: so you learn how to question your man. When he
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: said he was gonna find ways to make our marriage work,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you should have asked him exactly what he meant by that.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Because it damned show wasn't a trip back to the hometown.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: That was part of it. But who was at the
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: hometown at the game. It's what you didn't know. So
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: now he racing call logs. You can't track no calls.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: He ain't got no names listing. Then over the holidays,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a few calls came in and he had to step
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: away to take them. And it happened we had a
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: company or when we were out, so I couldn't question
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: him a calls and seen. Well, that's where being a
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: little a bit polite, because most women I know would
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: have opened up with where you're going? Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: get well, I will all be outside taking calls. She'll
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: walk out there with you and listen. So I don't know.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: On New Year's Eve, we decided to stay in have
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: shamp champagne. He was distant. He played with his phone
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: all night. That stroke of midnight, his phone ring and
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: he stepped outside to take the call. He you don't
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: need to hear him wishing her a happy new I
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: love you, I miss you, Happy New Year, wish you
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: was here. All that he working on staying with you,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and this is the only way he can do it.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Don't you understand you should have asked him what I
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: meant when he said I'm gonna work on making this
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: work because he's doing something. Should I have confronted him
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: at that moment of the new year, Yes, you should have.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: What's my husband up to? You're for asking the question?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: FM on Instagram and on Facebook, and check out the
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now coming up at forty
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: six minutes after the hour. Sports Talk right after this talk,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: right you're listening to show. Well, guys, we know Junior
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: is out today, but Steve and Tommy, you know we're
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: all still playing for a twenty four year old Buffalo
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Bill's player, Damar Hamlin. Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest and
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: collapsed on the field during Monday night's game against the
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Cincinnati Bengal. According to NBC Sports, Damar Hamlin's heart stopped
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: following the seemingly just a routine play. DeMar tackles Cincinnati
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Bengals wide receiver T Higgins, then briefly got up before
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: he just collapsed. I mean just collapsed. NFL Commissioner Roger
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Goodell canceled the game and said the folk because should
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: be about DeMar's health. Sports media outlets yesterday reported DeMar's
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: recovery seems to be trending upwards in a positive way,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and players, coaches, and fans from all over are praying
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: for DeMar as we are. What they thought the problem
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: was it was something to do with his heart. You know,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: he took the he's the defensive player, but the actual
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: runner in dead into his chest and it's with his heart.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: It's what his heart. But it wasn't a head to
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: head like normally, you know, which is where you normally
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: have a concussion. But this was this was straight to
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: his heart, man, And he just this little brother just
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: he stood up, let us if he was still with
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: the play, Yeah, just ing and just yeah, yeah, yeah stopping.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Yeah that was a good thing. Yeah. Because the teams,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: both of the teams, you know, look, man, even though
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: they play on opposite teams and they all friends, they
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: understand they know what this sport is. Man. That's Aaron
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Rodgers saying, yeah, some brothers, some ships out there. Man,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: cats know what each other do. They know what their
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: bodies go through to play professional football, respect level training,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: hard game hitting, and it's physical and at this part
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: of the season, nobody's without an injury. Oh everybody got
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: something hurt. Ye. But the question comes up, like you
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: got you know, I have a son, you got too,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I got two something. I got a son that's elevens
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: in the sports, real strong. You got grandson is probably
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: gonna be in sports. Do you want your your your
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: kid to play that game? I want them to play
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: sports if that's what they want to do. But I
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: show hope it's golf. You play golf a long ass time,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: and you know, I mean you know, but football is
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: a great game. But it's surprise, hard hitting, it's surprise.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: It's physical game, violent, physical game. The life expectancy of
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: a football player on the feel I'm talking about playing.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: But your career life you're playing life is not long.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: It's like it's not even five years on that is it? Wow?
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: So when somebody in play twelve years, they really are
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: running back. Running back has the shortest career span. Oh wow,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: because again in time they touched the ball, it's eleven
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: people looking for his ass. Wow. Target Again, our prayers
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: going out for day Mark Hamlin. Now coming up, we're
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: gonna switch gears here. At the top of the hour,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: a guy on social media, Steve, has a question for you.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: He needs some advice about how to deal with his neighbors.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening, all right, So Steve Carlos
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Son Facebook writes, over the holiday, I learned that the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: man who lived in my house before me was one
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: generous soul. Supposedly, whenever it snowed, he'd whip out his
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: snowblower and plow and clear off the entire street for everyone.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: What I didn't know was that the responsibility somehow landed
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: on my shoulders when I bought the place. During this
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: last storm, everyone was coming to my door asking why
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: the street wasn't cleared off and blaming me for them
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: being late to work. I thought the previous owner, Uh huh.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I thought the previous owner was just being nice leaving
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: that snowblower in the garage. But now I see the
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: real reason. So, Steve, what's the best way Carlos wants
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to know to respond to these neighbors, and he's trying
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: not to go off on any of them as well. Well,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: you ain't got to do that. But there's a couple
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: of things that you need to make clear. Number one
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: to avoid any other confusion, take the snowblower and roll
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: it out into Middlity Street and going back in your house. Started.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Second thing you can do is didn't next time is storm?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Take that snowblower, wad down the street, cut it on,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: blow about two feet of snow, just a little block,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: two foot block of snow. Cut the snow and lead
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: a snowblower running and walk all the way back down
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: to your house and going in. Then start watching TV.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: What this ain't your job? Yeah? Your job? I love anybody, anybody, anybody.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: The last thing you can do, put your snowblower on
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Craig's list and got nothing else to do with this here,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: money with your neighbors. No, or go down to home
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: deep on and buy twenty two shovels, sent them on,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: put bowls on all of them. Merry Christmas. All right,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: all right, Carlos. We hope that helped you. Here's another one, Steve.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: This is from Shell from Steve HARVEYFM dot com. She says,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I made a resolution to be healthier this year. I
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: plan on trying to exercise a few times a week
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: and I'm going to eat healthier. I talked to my
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: boyfriend about it before the new year, but now that
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to put it into practice, I'm getting no
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: support from him. Actually, he's making it more difficult. He
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: just went to the grocery store and bought a bunch
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: of junk food. And when I went to the gym yesterday,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: he said he was going to watch TV and chill.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I know I have to do this on my own.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I know this, but I expected him to at least
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: support me. Am I wrong for wanting him to not
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: actively work against my healthy resolution? Was that wrong? He
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: didn't come along with the resolution. He made a commitment
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three to be more of me. That's
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: obviously where he is. You trying to be less of
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: you and he trying to be more of me. And
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: it's hard when you don't have a support in the
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: house to stay on track, to die and everything. But
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you can't blame him. He ain't that dude. So just
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: stay on your mission, stay focused. Maybe when he sees
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: your improvements he might join along. But that's all. It's
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: hard to make the decision and hard to stay committed.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: But if that's what you want to do, that's what
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: you have to do. So just go on and make
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: it work. But Steve, do you really think he's got
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: a bunch of junk food? She said, Now not a
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: candy bar or backwhere with him? Huh. She's gonna be
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: back on the couch in February. Both of y'all just
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: sitting over there. Just swear it. But stay with it,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: those sisters, stay with it. Hey, order the new Elevate

- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to morning show. Well,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: there was no winner on Tuesday and the Mega Millions lottery,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: so now the jackpot is over. Guess what one billion dollars? Again?
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: You are? Who I play? Yeah? I got close, Shaw,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I got close. I got the powerball right, and then
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I got two other ones right. I was like, this
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: is it. I was about to difference. Wait a minute,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: timey powerball is different from Mega millions. So did your
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: bottom gets to the right A lot of me? It was?
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I had it. It was eight. Well, anyway, you remember
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: back in July of last year there was a Mega
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: millions billion dollars winner from Illinois, and now here we
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: are again. This is just January with another billion dollars Jackson.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: If you won and you went in to convert your ticket,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: would you let people see who you were? No? No,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I'd be like that Asian man who was in that suit,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: that Pikachu suit the sky. Yeah. Yes, I'm letting everybody
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: know see me I am a billionaire. No, all of that,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: all the way. Yeah, I'm going in as a white man.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I'm bleach scanning everything now. No, No, I'm going in
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: as me and I'm not cooking an old costume jockey
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: strap and out of ship. Nothing else coming up. In
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll play a round.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: It would you rather right after this you're listening to show?
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Here we go first one for the new year, twenty
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: twenty three. It is time now for would you rather?
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Would you rather when we just talked about the lottery
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: last break, would you rather win the current lottery jackpot
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: or would you rather live in good health and live
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to be one hundred and twenty years old? But we
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: broke though at one hundred and old. But to me,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: fifteen good years of this big so you only get
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: fifteen years? No no, no, Sam, no no the lottery
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: and yeah no no, no, no no. Would you rather live?
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Would you rather win the current lottery jack potter? Or
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: would you rather live in good health to be one
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: hundred and twenty years old? One hundred and twenty has
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: nothing to do with the money. Oh give me this
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: money and has from me? He exact, Yeah, give me
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: this money and whatever my ride is. I had worked
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: out with the lie. I was looking for one old
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: fo anyway, you are a health proponent now you like
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: big proponent health wealth. Health is more important than wealth.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Yeah in your statement, yeah you would you could be health, right, Carlo,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you could be healthy and live till one hundred and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: twenty years old. I'm healthy. Now give me this billion
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: and watch this health. I'm healthy. Now. It's not saying
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you've got to be unhealthy with the billion. It's just
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: you're guaranteed one hundred and twenty years of good health.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Or you can get this billion right now healthy because
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I'm I want to do but anyway, I got a
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: couple of issues, but just billion though, straight? All right,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: all right, movie, I'm gonna take that billion. I'm gonna
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: make myself sick by saying nohing he were stupid? All right? Straight? Now,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: come on? Would you rather think about this when you
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: were single? Okay, I gotta put that in there. Would
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you rather get a text from from a one night
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: stand that says I'm pregnant or I have an STD?
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Which one? This is when you were single? Well? Which
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: damn STV? Is it? I mean? We gotta do? Yeah,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: we might be you know the baby? You just got
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: some insects on me? We worked through that. What kind
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: of prescription we talk Yeah, sexually transmitted disease? We're talking about?
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: What are we talking about? Which we talk about for penicilling?
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Somebody showed off his penicilla antibody. Yeah, we just penicilla.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I go and take shotya? All right? All right, you guys,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: that's today's round of would you rather coming up at
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour, our last break of
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the day and some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: all right, guys, here we are one showdown for the
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: new year. I mean, uh huh, it was a good show.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: We have fun. Glad to be back, yeah, surely, just
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty four. Yeah till christ. You know, though,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: you say glad to be back, Glad to be back, great,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: feeling healthy and blessed, feel with gratitude. I could have
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: stayed off though, Yeah right, I'm not mad at the vacation.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I could have stayed off, don't give me wrong. Yeah.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: I love my people out there. I love a waking
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: people up in the morning. I love being inspirational. I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: love being you know, informative. I love being entertaining. Like
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: me some me though, Yeah, I like me and I'm
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: doing what I want to do. You know, look, you
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: could love your career. You could love your job, you
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: could love your profession. And I don't love that mod
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: in free time. Fun. It's fun, isn't it. You know.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: It's just the ability to just sit still and do
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: you and the older, I've gotten the cooler I am
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: with the sitting around just doing me. I love them. Yeah,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: and we got to really go nowhere. Yeah. What I've
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: discovered is I don't need an activity to have a
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: really really good time. A lot of people that they
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: have to always. Yeah, but but that comes with age,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Like you say, Steve, being comfortable within your own skin,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you know, loving yourself, enjoying your life, all of that
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: stuff comes with that. I was younger and we'd go
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: on vacation, we'd have an itinerary. Yeah, and when I
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: got off the vacation, I needed a vacation. Yeah, we're
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: gonna go on the picnic. We're gonna take the tool,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: we're gonna go see this. Then we're gonna go on
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: a boat ride. Then we're gonna go in the helicopter.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Then we're gonna get in doing the mount it's too much.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: And wait, Steve, be downstairs at twelve o'clock. We got
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: to go at twelve. We're on vacation group dinner. We
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: got hey, man, you know what me and my girl do.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: We wake up and do nothing until we want to,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: and then a lot of times what we want to do,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: we change our mind about that. That's it. As we go,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: people want to get the most out of their vacation
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and their money. So a lot of times when people go,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: they want to go on these excursions, do all this
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: because they feel like, Oh, I could chill at home.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: You know how you swimming with the sharks call why Well,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: if you're the sharks, you probably ain't gonna come back.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Maybe because you're like living on the edge. You like
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: that thrill, you know that. That's how I don't. Yeah,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: see this something I learned a long time ago. Fun
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: and fear, not in the service people talking to me,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: May we're gonna get on this roller coaster. No, man,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I don't like that moment where I'm scared. Yeah No,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: it wasn't. That was Game Drops roller coaster and I
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: released immediately. Now when I'm scared, I don't, I just
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: let it. We're not gonna talk about that. No, No,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: a roller coaster fifty five. I'm being only black paints
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: because if I got on page passers, you're gonna fully
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: be aware of whatever is our next vacation. I need
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: black and some leggings, legs. Crazy. We got something absorbing it.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: We're trying to keep it in you know what y'all.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: In closing, just let me say this briefly. This is
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: a new year. I suggest that you take on this
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: that I've decided twenty twenty three. I am living my
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: life in expectation. I am expecting God's goodness, grace, and
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: mercy to follow me throughout the year. Even in the
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: midst of trouble. I will keep my eyes focused on
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: the goodness, the grace, and the mercy of God, because
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I know from all my years experience that no matter
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: what happens, this too shall pass. It always does it
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: all ways, does this too shall pass. So I'm inviting
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: everybody man in twenty twenty three, live your life in
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: the expectation. Write your visions and goals down on a
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: piece of paper, put them on your phone. Make them
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: your screen saver. Stop taking pictures of your dog and
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: putting your dog on your screen saving all like that,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: that's your dog. It's gonna be your dog. Put something
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: on your screen saver, man. That matters that you can
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: look at your dreams, your visions, your goals, your aspirations.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: So every time you pick that phone up, you look
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: at the things you are expecting. Twenty twenty three to
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: breed and it will put you on track more often
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: than you think if it's your screen saver. My vision
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: board has been my screen saver for years. Every time
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: I pick it up, I am reminded of what I'm
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: expecting to happen. I end up changing is this screen
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: saver every year and a half because so many things
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: happen from living my life in the expectation that I
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: get to create a new vision board. Y'all think in
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: positive terms. Let's pray more in twenty twenty three. Let's
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: meditate more in twenty three. Prayer is talking to God.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Meditate is listening to God. Do more of that and
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: your life will be great. Let's have a great twenty
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: twenty three started off with gratitude, thanking God for what
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: He's gotten you through and what He's gonna do for you.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Those are my clothes remarks. God willing will see y'all
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: again tomorrow. Y'all stay in peace, man for all. Steve
