- 2:02Speaker 9: will good runing everybody you are listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 9: Come on, dig me now, want it only?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Steve harvey Man got a radio show. Real glad about
- 2:12Speaker 2: it too.
- 2:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I hope that God always keeps me in the frame
- 2:20Speaker 2: of mind to try to be sharing and try to
- 2:25Speaker 2: be motivational and ubly even when it's not felt or
- 2:30Speaker 2: wanted by some people. I have people around me who
- 2:35Speaker 2: seem to not benefit at all or anything, and I
- 2:38Speaker 2: can sit with them and talk to them or take
- 2:41Speaker 2: meetings with them to try to encourage them, and for
- 2:43Speaker 2: whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep going
- 2:45Speaker 2: the way they're going. When you run into people like that,
- 2:49Speaker 2: you have to pray for them. You have to just
- 2:50Speaker 2: hope that one day that they release the chains on
- 2:54Speaker 2: their mind and open up your mind to a new
- 2:56Speaker 2: way of thinking. A couple of things I wanted to
- 2:59Speaker 2: go over with that I want you to all today
- 3:01Speaker 2: in terms of motivation, I want you to be aware
- 3:06Speaker 2: of statements or old sayings that have been created that
- 3:11Speaker 2: you hear over the course of time, and you may
- 3:15Speaker 2: be applying them to your life. And I want you
- 3:18Speaker 2: to be careful of some of them because some of
- 3:20Speaker 2: these old sayings, man, are not designed for people who
- 3:26Speaker 2: are dreamers, are not designed for people who have any
- 3:31Speaker 2: aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not designs or sayings
- 3:37Speaker 2: that people who want to be extremely successful at anything
- 3:42Speaker 2: or have high aspirations to put these sayings into your life.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Let me give you an example. Statistics say that's it.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That's the one I want you to be careful about.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Statistics say, be very careful of stats. When a person says,
- 4:05Speaker 2: you know, statistics, say one out of every what see,
- 4:10Speaker 2: listen to me.
- 4:11Speaker 3: These are things that sound.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're setting you
- 4:17Speaker 2: up for failure. And you can't adhere yourself to a
- 4:22Speaker 2: lot of these sayings that's been passed down from generations,
- 4:26Speaker 2: and it's not scripture. It ain't in a scripture. Nowhere
- 4:30Speaker 2: that statistics say. It's just some people, and a lot
- 4:34Speaker 2: of people who have lost have come up with these
- 4:38Speaker 2: sayings to justify why they keep losing or why they lost.
- 4:44Speaker 2: When I was earth got started in the business, there
- 4:48Speaker 2: were more stand ups around now than it is today
- 4:51Speaker 2: because the comedy boom in eighty four eighty five was
- 4:57Speaker 2: it was gaining a lot of momentums, comedy club, comedy
- 5:00Speaker 2: nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy told me I
- 5:05Speaker 2: told him I wanted to be on the Johnny Carson Show,
- 5:11Speaker 2: the Tonight Show. The guy said, one out of every
- 5:16Speaker 2: two thousand comedians ever make it to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now,
- 5:25Speaker 2: when he told us that, some of the comedians in
- 5:28Speaker 2: the room went, well, wow, man, that's rough. Because a
- 5:34Speaker 2: guy had also said that there was approximately six thousand
- 5:38Speaker 2: comedians in the country at that time. I don't know
- 5:41Speaker 2: if it was true. I'm just telling you a guy
- 5:43Speaker 2: was out there spewing numbers. I have no idea how
- 5:45Speaker 2: many it was, but he said one in every two
- 5:49Speaker 2: thousand will make it to the Tonight Show. And he
- 5:51Speaker 2: let the air out of everybody in the room but me.
- 5:56Speaker 2: So every night before I went on stage, I used
- 5:58Speaker 2: to do this right here, bae.
- 6:04Speaker 10: Bad.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That was the tonight theme song. I was young opening
- 6:11Speaker 2: act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't I was in Cleveland telling
- 6:15Speaker 2: jokes at one night. But that was my thing because
- 6:19Speaker 2: I was bent and determined that if it's one in
- 6:22Speaker 2: two thousand, okay, why don't I just be the one?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Be careful when.
- 6:27Speaker 2: People say statistics say because they are set up to fulfailure.
- 6:31Speaker 2: If you're gonna adhere to him. See that won in
- 6:34Speaker 2: so many it wanted. So many people win the lottery.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:38Speaker 2: be the one to hit. Not when the dude hit
- 6:39Speaker 2: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:43Speaker 2: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be. Let's go
- 6:48Speaker 2: one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 6:57Speaker 2: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:02Speaker 2: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:05Speaker 2: because you didn't stay to the task, because you quit
- 7:09Speaker 2: turned around and with the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:12Speaker 2: not it wasn't the Lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:16Speaker 2: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,
- 7:21Speaker 2: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old
- 7:26Speaker 2: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen
- 7:29Speaker 2: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Who came up with this?
- 7:39Speaker 3: Who came up with it?
- 7:40Speaker 2: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:44Speaker 2: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:48Speaker 2: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:53Speaker 2: not played basketball sun up to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't
- 7:57Speaker 2: go to Michigan to get an education. Larry Berry ain't
- 8:02Speaker 2: go to Indiana to get an education. These cats was balling.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Michael Jordan didn't go to North Carolina get an education.
- 8:10Speaker 2: They went to play ball. They went to do one thing.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Tiger Woods didn't go to Stanford to get an education.
- 8:18Speaker 2: He went to play golf. Soon as he got good enough,
- 8:21Speaker 2: he gone, These are guys that put all they eggs
- 8:25Speaker 2: in one basket. See what's cool with putting all your
- 8:29Speaker 2: eggs in one basket is you now can maximize your
- 8:32Speaker 2: effort and laser beam what you're doing. Your problem is
- 8:37Speaker 2: all you gotta do is make sure what is your
- 8:40Speaker 2: basket made out of If your basket is made out
- 8:44Speaker 2: of faith, hope, hard work, and belief, then guess what,
- 8:49Speaker 2: that's a good basket. I'm dumping all mine in it.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Because ever since I was a young dude, I've been
- 8:55Speaker 2: telling jokes, one thing, one thing only.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Even when it got.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Ugly and I was living in I never quit telling
- 9:01Speaker 2: them jokes.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Man.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 9:05Speaker 2: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I ain't take no time off. Go work at the Walmart,
- 9:11Speaker 2: get me a job, go back to Ford and big
- 9:13Speaker 2: for my job back. Hey, man, put all your eggs
- 9:17Speaker 2: in a basket. Just make sure that your basket is
- 9:19Speaker 2: made up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket
- 9:25Speaker 2: woven by God.
- 9:26Speaker 3: What you tripping for?
- 9:28Speaker 2: You're defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?
- 9:33Speaker 2: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you
- 9:36Speaker 2: got to bleed that God could do what he said
- 9:38Speaker 2: gonna do because he'dn't done it for others, He'll most
- 9:41Speaker 2: certainly do it for you. Be careful of these sayings
- 9:44Speaker 2: that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people to
- 9:48Speaker 2: justify why they are not succeeding. Don't apply this stuff
- 9:51Speaker 2: to your life, and it ain't got nothing to do
- 9:53Speaker 2: with you. You're gonna mess yourself up. All right, Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 2: you're listening hard morning, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have
- 10:04Speaker 2: your undivided attention. You know what, I've tried to find
- 10:09Speaker 2: different ways to say it every day, and you know
- 10:12Speaker 2: I started sounding redundant, but I just don't know how
- 10:16Speaker 2: else to say it to you, that how good and
- 10:18Speaker 2: amazing God really is. I just keep I keep marveling
- 10:23Speaker 2: at the fact that He manages to raise that sun
- 10:27Speaker 2: up every day, said it every day, controls, it, operates,
- 10:31Speaker 2: all of this in the universe, in the world, answers,
- 10:34Speaker 2: prayers for most anybody that I ask him, has a
- 10:38Speaker 2: relationship with everybody that wants want, is willing to forgive
- 10:43Speaker 2: you no matter what you've done, and will give you
- 10:46Speaker 2: a fresh start over and over and over and over again,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and then wakes you up whether you say thank you
- 10:53Speaker 2: or not, and keeps doing it in hopes that you
- 10:56Speaker 2: will turn around and have a relationship with him. Now, Zach,
- 11:01Speaker 2: who does that? Because I just didn't describe no person
- 11:04Speaker 2: I know, so must be him again. Thank you Lord.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi
- 11:12Speaker 2: Monica Junior and the legend that's growing in Nephew Tommy
- 11:18Speaker 2: Now Junior, Yes, huh. Today, as always, the curiosity has risen.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Now what is it today?
- 11:25Speaker 4: Oh?
- 11:25Speaker 1: You ain't gonna believe it today? Oh yeah, this grandfather
- 11:28Speaker 1: thing got to stop.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I don't.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I can't do this here. I'm not a good grandfather
- 11:34Speaker 1: at all. I'll never be you.
- 11:36Speaker 11: I'm nothing to do because I talked to the baby yesterday. Ya,
- 11:39Speaker 11: I can't be a Pappaul shir I talked to the
- 11:42Speaker 11: baby yesterday.
- 11:43Speaker 4: You know.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I told him. I said, Hey, what happened to Man's
- 11:45Speaker 1: going out?
- 11:46Speaker 4: He said?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Josh his classmate. He thinks my voice is his free
- 11:52Speaker 1: I can't.
- 11:52Speaker 12: Do this here.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Kids is telling me like I'm going to school, like
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'm going to pre k with him. All I said, Hey,
- 11:59Speaker 1: man was going on?
- 12:00Speaker 4: Man?
- 12:01Speaker 1: He said, Josh, Josh, you.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Know what that means, Junior.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I can't do this here.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I'm not your way.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Do you know what that means?
- 12:11Speaker 1: I don't know what it means.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Well, let me help you.
- 12:14Speaker 1: You have the voice.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You have the voice of a folio.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Okay, ah had a corte, but you know what my
- 12:25Speaker 1: feelings all cartoon.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Wait, we gotta let that mayor now all cartoon.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know, man, that could lead to some
- 12:33Speaker 2: advantages to being a grandfather junior. You're gonna have to
- 12:37Speaker 2: embrace this man, because it's not going anywhere. You became
- 12:41Speaker 2: all this in one day, and one day you were
- 12:44Speaker 2: a husband, kay, a father okay, and a grandfather. Don't like.
- 12:52Speaker 3: All in one day. You didn't ramp it up. No,
- 12:56Speaker 3: you didn't get to be married, then have children, then learn.
- 13:00Speaker 2: How to raise kids. Didn't watch they kids have kids.
- 13:03Speaker 2: You didn't do none of that.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Anytime you talk to your grandchild, don't they know it's
- 13:09Speaker 1: your voice on? Don't they deal?
- 13:11Speaker 2: Well?
- 13:11Speaker 3: I sound like I sound like a grandfather, don't you?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Okay, Well imagine this, hey man, what's going on?
- 13:17Speaker 4: Man?
- 13:17Speaker 3: How you doing?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Josh?
- 13:20Speaker 2: Well, you're lucky he didn't call you SquarePants sponge.
- 13:27Speaker 7: Yeah, that's your grandfather voice.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Was a compliment.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour, we
- 13:41Speaker 7: will hear from the nephew as he runs that prank back.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Right after this.
- 13:45Speaker 7: You're listening Hardy Morning Show. It is time now for
- 13:50Speaker 7: the nephew to run that prank back. Nephew, what you got?
- 13:54Speaker 8: Uh? You know, let's go ahead and be as stupid
- 13:56Speaker 8: as I was yesterday. I mean it's the same thing.
- 13:58Speaker 8: We gonna run it back. So we're just gonna be
- 14:01Speaker 8: just double ignorant, that's all all right? Yeah, yeah, we
- 14:06Speaker 8: know this right here is check settlement, got dog if
- 14:10Speaker 8: you would, Let's see if we can be extra stupid
- 14:14Speaker 8: this morning.
- 14:15Speaker 2: All right, all right, let's go.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Hello. Right, I'm trying to reach out this place. How
- 14:24Speaker 2: you doing?
- 14:25Speaker 8: It's attorney over to associates. All right, I want to
- 14:29Speaker 8: give you a call. I just got your file that
- 14:30Speaker 8: hit my desk, and we got a check going out
- 14:33Speaker 8: to you on monday. You came in yesterday, correct, Yes, okay, listen,
- 14:37Speaker 8: we got a few low glitches here. We want to
- 14:40Speaker 8: go over with I want to go over with you
- 14:41Speaker 8: and make sure we get this all ironed out before
- 14:44Speaker 8: you come in on Monday. And I'll have a check
- 14:47Speaker 8: definitely waiting on you when you get here. All right,
- 14:49Speaker 8: You're supposed to be getting six four hundred and ten dollars, unfortunately,
- 14:55Speaker 8: is being reduced to twelve hundred due to injuries. Not
- 14:59Speaker 8: being as as bad as they say it was a
- 15:01Speaker 8: lot of calculations got really mixed up on our paperwork here.
- 15:04Speaker 8: And please keep in mind that on the twelve hundred,
- 15:06Speaker 8: we still haven't taken out our fee, which is like
- 15:08Speaker 8: about thirty three and the third we'll have a check
- 15:11Speaker 8: for you on Monday in the ballpark of four to
- 15:13Speaker 8: five hundred dollars.
- 15:14Speaker 13: Oh, hold on, hold on, hold up, Okay, I'm still
- 15:17Speaker 13: getting it. So what was the total mount that y'all
- 15:20Speaker 13: got from the laws from the.
- 15:22Speaker 8: Should Evidently the person that did these calculations completely did
- 15:26Speaker 8: them wrong. I do apologize for this being a mishap
- 15:30Speaker 8: on our part and it's totally screwed up, and I
- 15:33Speaker 8: do apologize on the behalf of the of the association
- 15:36Speaker 8: here that we've dropped the ball on that. But your
- 15:39Speaker 8: actual check has been reduced to twelve hundred dollars, okay,
- 15:43Speaker 8: and that's without us taking the law fees out of it.
- 15:46Speaker 13: So I just just right, because how was six thousand
- 15:51Speaker 13: dollars cover the doctor bill.
- 15:53Speaker 12: And the con practice?
- 15:54Speaker 8: Well, from my understanding, man, what they're also stating is
- 15:57Speaker 8: that your injuries are not that bad, and I don't
- 16:00Speaker 8: don't want to be the bear of bad news.
- 16:02Speaker 2: They're actually wondering if you were actually hurt at all.
- 16:05Speaker 12: So I even had to get injections, okay from the
- 16:09Speaker 12: con practice Okay, and do you have any you I
- 16:11Speaker 12: have some medical documents here, and I understand that you've
- 16:14Speaker 12: been going and you probably looks like you went over
- 16:16Speaker 12: at least at least two months going to the doctor
- 16:19Speaker 12: and getting and getting therapy.
- 16:21Speaker 4: And and I was his call.
- 16:23Speaker 12: That was a conpractice call.
- 16:25Speaker 13: That wasn't my decision. Okay, Well at this called from
- 16:28Speaker 13: from my injury.
- 16:30Speaker 8: Exactly, and a lot of a lot of these doctor fees,
- 16:32Speaker 8: and that you've gone to eating up eating up a
- 16:34Speaker 8: lot of these funds. And I tell you, these doctor
- 16:37Speaker 8: bills they get pretty high out there. I do want
- 16:39Speaker 8: to apologize. What we're gonna do here since we've dropped
- 16:42Speaker 8: the ball on this. We're gonna give you the check
- 16:44Speaker 8: for twelve hundred and not even take the law fees
- 16:47Speaker 8: out of it. And I'll have that check waiting on
- 16:48Speaker 8: you on Monday morning.
- 16:51Speaker 12: That's just okay.
- 16:53Speaker 13: I understand what you're saying. But I'm trying to figure
- 16:55Speaker 13: out is from the I need to see some work
- 17:00Speaker 13: of stating what was the total Mount check that was
- 17:04Speaker 13: written from the insurance company, plus what was the portion
- 17:08Speaker 13: that was supposed to be taken out for the chiropractic
- 17:10Speaker 13: plus the portion that was supposed to be taken out
- 17:12Speaker 13: from a doctor himself. That you're telling me six thousand
- 17:15Speaker 13: that's not gonna wouldn't have covered that and leave me
- 17:18Speaker 13: with only twelve hundred.
- 17:20Speaker 8: Okay, I'm not at liberty to let you look at
- 17:22Speaker 8: this paperwork anymore. I'm calling you basically to let you
- 17:26Speaker 8: know I have a twelve hundred dollars check for you.
- 17:27Speaker 8: If you don't want that, then you can go ahead
- 17:30Speaker 8: and take some.
- 17:31Speaker 13: Other legal I mean that is a sign of right, Robert.
- 17:35Speaker 13: I mean from the entire month, because I got the
- 17:37Speaker 13: paperwork from the chiropractor stating what Mount was paid.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I understand that, ma'am. What I'm trying to let you
- 17:43Speaker 2: know the issues there there.
- 17:44Speaker 8: What's going on right now is the response coming back
- 17:47Speaker 8: is that you're not actually hurt at all.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That's what they're saying. They're saying you're not hate at all.
- 17:52Speaker 8: Actually, I don't want to use the words, but they're
- 17:54Speaker 8: saying that you've been faking this the whole time.
- 17:57Speaker 13: I need to see some paperwork with far to check.
- 18:00Speaker 13: This doesn't sound right and that doesn't make any sense.
- 18:02Speaker 8: Well, all right, now, you know I'm the last person
- 18:05Speaker 8: that that this file is gonna come across. It's coming
- 18:07Speaker 8: across my desk. This is pretty much a take it
- 18:09Speaker 8: or leave it option, you know.
- 18:11Speaker 13: And if you don't leave no, no, no, no, I
- 18:14Speaker 13: mean you don't have to get an a to me
- 18:15Speaker 13: because you are my lawyer and i'm your client.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Well, you're not gonna raise your voice. You're not gonna
- 18:20Speaker 2: raise your voice. Set me.
- 18:22Speaker 8: That's not gonna happen either. So let's let's pipe it
- 18:25Speaker 8: down a bit. Okay, Now here's what we're gonna do.
- 18:29Speaker 8: Do you want the twelve hundred dollars check or do
- 18:31Speaker 8: you not want it?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Now?
- 18:32Speaker 8: I've already wavered the fees of the of the attorneys here.
- 18:36Speaker 8: Do you want the twelve hundred or do you want
- 18:38Speaker 8: me to reduce it to four hundred?
- 18:39Speaker 13: No, I don't want twelve undred because i'mnna take you
- 18:41Speaker 13: to court, So that doesn't time.
- 18:42Speaker 6: If he's supposed to be my.
- 18:44Speaker 8: Lawyer, I'm being the best attorney that you probably could afford,
- 18:48Speaker 8: young lady.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Okay, and I'm trying to do the best I can
- 18:51Speaker 2: to help you.
- 18:51Speaker 13: Now, you, from what I understand is I'm trying to say,
- 18:55Speaker 13: that's not gonna be acceptable. I just have to get
- 18:58Speaker 13: a lawyer to you.
- 18:59Speaker 6: That's not you know, you know, you people continue to
- 19:02Speaker 6: want to offer.
- 19:03Speaker 13: Yesterday when we came.
- 19:05Speaker 2: In, I didn't.
- 19:08Speaker 8: I wasn't there doing the meeting yesterday. Like I said,
- 19:10Speaker 8: these papers just landed on my desk today. What I'm
- 19:13Speaker 8: not going to tolerate is you people consistently wanting to
- 19:17Speaker 8: file a lawsuit on somebody.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Now you want to file a lawsuit on me. You know,
- 19:21Speaker 2: if you're going way too.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Far with this.
- 19:24Speaker 6: This isn't I want to talk to.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Well, now you've heard of me.
- 19:32Speaker 8: I'm and I work here as well, and I'm not
- 19:35Speaker 8: going to stand you uh uh dismantling me the.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Way that you're doing.
- 19:40Speaker 13: I just have to get a lawyer.
- 19:41Speaker 12: That's not accessible.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I got one more thing. This is nephew Tommy from
- 19:45Speaker 2: the Steve Harvey Marty Show.
- 19:46Speaker 8: You just got pranked. You got precked by your husband. Oh,
- 19:56Speaker 8: your husband told me she's been waiting on that check.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 12: I was about to go a little office, all.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Right, baby, let me ask you something.
- 20:09Speaker 8: Tell Tommy, what is the baddest radio show in the landing?
- 20:14Speaker 2: All right, baby, look here, get your check.
- 20:20Speaker 8: In that great getting up stupid fairly well, the money, yes,
- 20:29Speaker 8: and then Greg.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Getting up stupid fair be well.
- 20:33Speaker 8: I don't know anybody they can do it quite like
- 20:36Speaker 8: this right here, right here, yeah, fair be well. All right,
- 20:41Speaker 8: I'm gonna yeah, I'm gonna be this stupid this weekend
- 20:45Speaker 8: in West Palm Beach, Florida.
- 20:47Speaker 2: All right, all right, all.
- 20:51Speaker 7: Right now, thank you. Coming up next, it is asked
- 20:54Speaker 7: the Celo with our chief Love officers. You're listening Harvey
- 20:58Speaker 7: Morning Show telling up at the top of the hour
- 21:01Speaker 7: and entertainment news. We'll talk about the hits and this
- 21:04Speaker 7: is on the red carpet from last night's met Gala.
- 21:07Speaker 7: More distracts from this crazy Kendrick Lamar and Drake Beef
- 21:14Speaker 7: stop it already. We'll tell you why Brian McKnight's upcoming
- 21:17Speaker 7: Detroit concert is canceled, and what happened with the Lovers
- 21:21Speaker 7: and Friends festival cancelation. We'll talk about all of these
- 21:24Speaker 7: stories at the top of the hour, but right now
- 21:26Speaker 7: it is time to ask the Clo. This is from
- 21:30Speaker 7: Nicky and Greensboro. Colo Nicki writes, my boyfriend is emotionally
- 21:35Speaker 7: unavailable for me, and I have a stressful job. So
- 21:38Speaker 7: I went home. So I went to vent to him,
- 21:40Speaker 7: and I wanted a big hug and I wanted to
- 21:42Speaker 7: hear him say that everything will be fine. He said,
- 21:45Speaker 7: I need to look for a new job. Does this
- 21:47Speaker 7: mean he doesn't love me?
- 21:49Speaker 2: No, that means he was trying to provide a fix. Ladies,
- 21:54Speaker 2: when you go to your man, the first thing he
- 21:56Speaker 2: gonna do is try to provide a fix. Yeah, that's
- 22:00Speaker 2: what we automatically go to the fix. We all know
- 22:04Speaker 2: you need a hug and console and all that. We
- 22:08Speaker 2: try to how can we fix this? So we don't
- 22:11Speaker 2: got to deal with this tomorrow. So he said you
- 22:15Speaker 2: need to find a new job. Now, that's all that means.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That means your husband is doing the two things that
- 22:22Speaker 2: he has to do innately. We are protectors and providers.
- 22:27Speaker 2: That is the must for us. So to protect you,
- 22:31Speaker 2: he tells you you need to do a new job
- 22:33Speaker 2: to provide for you. He tells you you need a
- 22:36Speaker 2: new job. That's all it is.
- 22:38Speaker 3: He was just doing his job.
- 22:39Speaker 2: He see you wanted a hug and all his heir,
- 22:44Speaker 2: you know it's gonna be all right, you know if you.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Get a new job or to be fine.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Problem done?
- 22:54Speaker 7: Next, All right, here we go, Sierra and Norcross says
- 23:00Speaker 7: husband bought our ten year old son a lot of
- 23:02Speaker 7: fireworks for the Fourth of July weekend. My son broke
- 23:05Speaker 7: the rules and took the fireworks to school and popped some.
- 23:09Speaker 7: He has been suspended for two days. Why does my
- 23:12Speaker 7: husband think this is funny? No, come on, whoop, I
- 23:20Speaker 7: don't whoop nobody no more.
- 23:22Speaker 8: Humph, capital punishment, corporate, call it corporal.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Are you're saying the parents need to whoops behind or
- 23:30Speaker 3: the school? His daddy? Oh, at the house? Okay, at school?
- 23:37Speaker 2: I think it's a little early to buy Fourth of
- 23:40Speaker 2: July five works.
- 23:43Speaker 3: That's a kept him at that's what they're saying.
- 23:46Speaker 2: He kept him, Yeah, and now he done took him
- 23:49Speaker 2: to school. That wasn't a smart decision. That should be
- 23:53Speaker 2: some consequences for it. He suspended you should too. Now
- 23:57Speaker 2: why he thought it was funny, I don't know. I
- 23:59Speaker 2: can't even tell you why he think.
- 24:01Speaker 14: It's fun Yeah, because school safety is not a lad
- 24:05Speaker 14: and with stuff just happened to the.
- 24:07Speaker 2: School that could have been misunderschool to fire, that fireworks
- 24:11Speaker 2: could have been misunderstood for gunfire, and then we had
- 24:14Speaker 2: a whole nother situation. Right, So, no, I don't see
- 24:17Speaker 2: the funny in it. I don't know why he thought
- 24:19Speaker 2: it was funny. I don't know.
- 24:20Speaker 3: So you know you married the man. You tell us.
- 24:24Speaker 7: He's immature, all right? Moving on to Donia in Saint Louis,
- 24:30Speaker 7: and Donia says, I'm dating a guy that basically bragged
- 24:32Speaker 7: on having sex with a lot of women before he
- 24:35Speaker 7: met me. So I admitted to sleeping with eleven guys total?
- 24:40Speaker 3: What uh oh?
- 24:41Speaker 7: He yelled, He yelled. Now, her boyfriend yelled, but you're
- 24:45Speaker 7: only forty one. Why do men judge women more harshly
- 24:50Speaker 7: than we judge them?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Because that's society. Society has set that up. It ain't
- 24:55Speaker 2: nothing new. It's been around a long time. In the
- 24:59Speaker 2: words of at Carvey, you, as he told my sisters
- 25:03Speaker 2: and I watched him when I was a little boy,
- 25:05Speaker 2: you can't do what I do and still be a lady.
- 25:08Speaker 8: We got to go through all the eleven though. We
- 25:10Speaker 8: gotta talk about the eleven. You can't do what I
- 25:13Speaker 8: do and still be a lady. That's the society we
- 25:18Speaker 8: live in, you are judged differently.
- 25:21Speaker 3: And I have told y'all.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Over and over and over.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Your number is three.
- 25:28Speaker 2: No matter what, that's your number.
- 25:31Speaker 3: That your is the magic number. Remember that schoolhouse right.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I don't know where you got eleven from.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I don't know why you thought eleven was gonna be
- 25:40Speaker 2: easy to swallow, he said, But you only forty one.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 2: See what eleven means is listen to this. This is
- 25:50Speaker 2: what the number eleven says to a man. From the
- 25:53Speaker 2: time you was thirty, you had one every year till
- 25:56Speaker 2: forty one. From the time you was twenty, you had
- 26:00Speaker 2: one every year. To you as thirty one, that's what
- 26:04Speaker 2: it said. You just ripping through.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Them over and over and over and over and over
- 26:09Speaker 1: and over.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And now you nasty. See that's what a man says.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Now, Is that right?
- 26:17Speaker 4: Yes?
- 26:19Speaker 1: No, it is correct. It correct.
- 26:27Speaker 2: See, ladies, ain't nothing. Y'all can look at me, sideway.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I ain't make these rules. It is correct. That's why
- 26:34Speaker 2: I told you color what is their number?
- 26:39Speaker 3: Three is the magic?
- 26:41Speaker 4: Now?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Just what's what's now?
- 26:44Speaker 2: Those of you that's on this zoom shaking your head, listen,
- 26:49Speaker 2: don't run out here with your real number. Let me up.
- 26:58Speaker 2: You know, when somebody asked you what your body count is,
- 27:01Speaker 2: don't hold your hands up and.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Leave one hand.
- 27:04Speaker 7: Here's a question about body count, Steve. Okay, do you
- 27:07Speaker 7: guys know that women are lying? If they say three,
- 27:12Speaker 7: you know there's been more. But but you're okay with that?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Why am I here?
- 27:18Speaker 3: She tells you?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Why am I here?
- 27:21Speaker 7: So you're fine with that line?
- 27:23Speaker 4: We were right?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Your body count?
- 27:25Speaker 3: Sure, but but the decency hold it to three.
- 27:31Speaker 2: So you know, my my count, my count.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Look what's your count?
- 27:36Speaker 5: It is.
- 27:39Speaker 15: The fingers and toes, way past them another limb. I
- 27:46Speaker 15: gotta use my teeth. I'm gonna have to use eyelashes.
- 27:53Speaker 3: You need to calculate it. You're gonna say square, I'm.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Gonna do fingers, told toe nails, franger nails.
- 28:02Speaker 7: Yes, all right, last one, last one? So no matter
- 28:07Speaker 7: what the guys say, three and that is it?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Three?
- 28:11Speaker 16: All right?
- 28:12Speaker 2: All right?
- 28:13Speaker 3: It's the magic.
- 28:14Speaker 7: Daniella and Pine Bluff says, I had a wild night
- 28:17Speaker 7: with a guy that I've been friends with for years.
- 28:19Speaker 7: The next morning I read his text while he was sleep.
- 28:23Speaker 7: His brother texted, I hope you weren't so drunk that
- 28:25Speaker 7: you slept with Daniella. Should I confront his brother or not?
- 28:29Speaker 1: God?
- 28:31Speaker 3: What what is you gonna confront his brother?
- 28:34Speaker 7: Fulk what's wrong with sleeping with Daniella?
- 28:37Speaker 3: You had a wild night? Mhmm, you know with her.
- 28:43Speaker 3: It's so wrong with it's so wrong with Danielle over Dnner.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Now, Danielle, I'm gonna tell you something. If you call
- 28:48Speaker 2: a brother, you might learn something you don't need to know. Hey,
- 28:55Speaker 2: you stopped lying on my brother. No good hair?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Where he's we cheat?
- 29:05Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 29:05Speaker 7: Celo coming up at the top of the hour. We'll
- 29:08Speaker 7: have some entertainment news for you right after this. You're
- 29:11Speaker 7: listening Morning show. The stars were on the red carpet
- 29:17Speaker 7: last night at the twenty twenty four met Gala. This year,
- 29:21Speaker 7: the annual event was hosted by Anna win Tour and
- 29:23Speaker 7: co chairs Bad Bunnies and Dana, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth.
- 29:28Speaker 7: This year's theme Sleeping Beauty's Reawakening Fashion, in which the
- 29:32Speaker 7: theme is the Garden of Time. So let's talk about
- 29:35Speaker 7: some of the iconic costumes we saw last night. For instance,
- 29:40Speaker 7: we can start with Steve Stylis, your stylist, Ellie Caramo,
- 29:44Speaker 7: did La La Anthony's dress, Steve, it was beautiful. It
- 29:47Speaker 7: was black and red.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I love you.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Yes, yeah it was. I'll tell you a story about
- 29:53Speaker 2: it off air, Kid, do it on the air.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Oh holy we got a waitres.
- 30:01Speaker 7: The teas, But anyway, we're beutiful, yes, yes, okay, let's
- 30:10Speaker 7: hear your comments on these celebrities costumes. Usher. Did anybody
- 30:14Speaker 7: see Usher? Who always bring rip to Roger B. P Henson?
- 30:22Speaker 2: Was there?
- 30:23Speaker 7: Naomi Campbell, Jojah Cat with the wet white dress that
- 30:28Speaker 7: was sexy. Different. You know, she's always going to be
- 30:31Speaker 7: kind of out there and different.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, okay, okay, yeah, okay, okay, all right.
- 30:42Speaker 7: Kylie Jenner, Gabrielle Union Wade and her husband Dwayne Wade
- 30:47Speaker 7: looking good as always, Queen Latifa, Kim Kardashian and her
- 30:53Speaker 7: like ice blue dress.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Okay, So did y'all see Kim Kardashian?
- 30:58Speaker 1: Did you all see her?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Everybody's talking about how thin her waist.
- 31:04Speaker 7: How slim she Yeah, her waist was like a size
- 31:08Speaker 7: to just her waist.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It was almost not real, like.
- 31:13Speaker 7: Crazy, it was really crazy.
- 31:17Speaker 1: All y'all.
- 31:24Speaker 7: Page get that she looked good though.
- 31:30Speaker 10: Uh.
- 31:30Speaker 7: Janelle Monet Kendall Jenner, uh w n b A star
- 31:34Speaker 7: Angel Reese was there.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yes, beautiful, I saw.
- 31:40Speaker 7: Beautiful, Kiky Palmer, Serena Williams, Chris Jenner and her white
- 31:44Speaker 7: people were saying Chris looked like a bride. Yes, uh
- 31:49Speaker 7: huh with all her white and her white coat, with
- 31:51Speaker 7: the long, long, long, long trail train. Corey Gamble, of course,
- 31:56Speaker 7: was with her Carrie Washington, who always brings it again.
- 32:01Speaker 1: She was rocking the purple.
- 32:04Speaker 3: You know what I'm gonna do.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I'm a boycott and met because I've never been invited.
- 32:08Speaker 2: That's what I'm gonna do always.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I want you so quiet about all. No, I didn't
- 32:13Speaker 3: see nothing. I don't.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Oh, you just say that everywhere.
- 32:15Speaker 3: It's all our social media. I ain't see nothing.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I can't where I am. I can't open Safari or
- 32:21Speaker 2: Google on my phone. Completely lost.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I know something to my damn phone.
- 32:30Speaker 2: They don't open nothing right now. I can't figure it out,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and I ain't gonna be able to figure out till
- 32:35Speaker 2: one of my kids get hold in my phone. But
- 32:38Speaker 2: I need somebody tell me something.
- 32:41Speaker 7: Coleman Domingo with his black and with his white cape dramatics.
- 32:47Speaker 7: He always looks good too. I like the way he dresses.
- 32:49Speaker 7: Scale King was there. I mean, it was just a
- 32:51Speaker 7: great event all around. Great night, beautiful night is always
- 32:55Speaker 7: people wait years and playing years for the met.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Kala, you know, Oh did you see Lizon's stress? And
- 33:02Speaker 3: did you see Erica bad? Did you see.
- 33:07Speaker 7: Was doing last night by doism?
- 33:11Speaker 3: She had a flower and all that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it was beautiful, it was it was cool.
- 33:16Speaker 3: I like the MET. I like seeing different things like that.
- 33:19Speaker 3: It's I love it, I love it, love it.
- 33:21Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 33:22Speaker 7: So there's also other entertainment news. Carla, what is up
- 33:26Speaker 7: with the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef? It's still going strong.
- 33:29Speaker 7: What's happening?
- 33:31Speaker 4: You know what.
- 33:33Speaker 2: The beef is?
- 33:34Speaker 1: I guess for rap, rap is a sport.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Let me say this.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Rap is a sport.
- 33:38Speaker 1: It's competitive.
- 33:39Speaker 14: It's kind of like my I'm a better rapper than
- 33:43Speaker 14: you are, like boxing now, like like a quarterback football team,
- 33:48Speaker 14: My quarterback is better than your quarterback.
- 33:50Speaker 3: So if you're a rapper, you think I'm better than
- 33:52Speaker 3: you as a rapper.
- 33:54Speaker 14: So I guess this beef is good because it's lyrical content,
- 33:59Speaker 14: because it puts these guys back in the studio and
- 34:02Speaker 14: they're right, and they're dropping records every five minutes. So
- 34:05Speaker 14: I guess for the rap game itself, for hip hop,
- 34:09Speaker 14: it's lyrical content. However, however, they may be going too
- 34:14Speaker 14: far with some of them and some of the things
- 34:17Speaker 14: and some of the accusations that they're saying.
- 34:19Speaker 3: But they dropping like four or five records in a week.
- 34:23Speaker 3: I'm like, right, right Jr.
- 34:25Speaker 1: At a time.
- 34:26Speaker 3: So, you know, rapping it's about the bar, it's about
- 34:29Speaker 3: what you're saying, what you're doing. That's why I said
- 34:31Speaker 3: it's a sport.
- 34:32Speaker 14: So, I mean, I don't know who knows the real
- 34:34Speaker 14: reason behind the beef all these accusations as to why
- 34:37Speaker 14: they're doing it, But I don't know.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Keep an ear out and watch.
- 34:41Speaker 2: It, and like I said, it just I don't get it.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I don't know what it's for. I don't know the purpose.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I've never heard that rap was a sport.
- 34:50Speaker 14: I think that's my opinion. That's nobody else has said that.
- 34:53Speaker 14: That's just me, Okay, I mean.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I don't.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I don't know why that's make your money, go cut
- 35:02Speaker 2: your albums, you know. I mean I heard the rap
- 35:07Speaker 2: battles before, Yeah, I.
- 35:10Speaker 7: Think, Yeah, keep us interested, you know, the culture forward talking.
- 35:17Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 35:20Speaker 2: I don't. I ain't got no comment on it because
- 35:21Speaker 2: I have comment, you know what I mean? Like, I
- 35:24Speaker 2: haven't heard the first one, then the response, then that response,
- 35:28Speaker 2: and then the next response. I just hear clips every
- 35:31Speaker 2: now and then come on and h Drake. The last
- 35:34Speaker 2: one I heard on Drake was pretty good because I
- 35:37Speaker 2: ain't know none of what the hell he was talking about.
- 35:43Speaker 2: That's all right.
- 35:44Speaker 7: I was just doing like this your head, Yeah, not bad,
- 35:48Speaker 7: you got It's quite alright. Coming up in twenty minutes
- 35:52Speaker 7: after the hour, Mother's Day is this Sunday, we'll talk
- 35:55Speaker 7: about Mother's Day gifts. Right after this you're listening.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Morning show.
- 36:01Speaker 7: Well, Mother's Day is this Sunday, guys. And new research
- 36:04Speaker 7: from Yelp says it's looking into what moms really want
- 36:08Speaker 7: this year. According to the survey of twenty five hundred adults,
- 36:11Speaker 7: mom really cherish family time. That's her big thing, family
- 36:15Speaker 7: time for Mother's Day, as sixty percent of mothers want
- 36:18Speaker 7: to be surrounded by their family more than anything else.
- 36:22Speaker 7: The poll also finds dining out on Mother's Day as
- 36:25Speaker 7: a top choice for Mom's especially for brunch. A Mother's
- 36:30Speaker 7: day without having to do chores or responsibilities would make
- 36:34Speaker 7: mothers really, really happy. Nearly half of them say a
- 36:38Speaker 7: personal chef would be a top choice for that chore
- 36:40Speaker 7: free day. Some moms would like to be pampered with
- 36:44Speaker 7: a spa day or beauty treatment for Mother's Day. And
- 36:47Speaker 7: here's the question the moms in you guys is like,
- 36:49Speaker 7: what are you doing for them? What are you giving them?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Mom My mom?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Easy, I love my mom.
- 36:55Speaker 8: I'm gonna give my mo mo. I'm got some fish
- 36:57Speaker 8: and stuff coming. She goes, she's official woman.
- 37:00Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 37:00Speaker 3: She likes.
- 37:02Speaker 2: But my wife is yes, what whatever her.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Kids get her?
- 37:07Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 37:08Speaker 7: Time to do this every Mother's Day.
- 37:10Speaker 3: We're gonna do it every Mother's Day while I'm living.

- 40:14Speaker 16: you know what I mean, You know he's there for
- 40:16Speaker 16: a reason. Shout out to you, Julian, shout out to everybody.

- 41:02Speaker 3: That's what about.
- 41:05Speaker 7: That was a great call though, thank you now he said,
- 41:08Speaker 7: stop coddling junior.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Yeah, he said that.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you ain't never did enough, because you know you
- 41:15Speaker 1: mentored me, so I already know I'm not.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Either. I don't even know coddle is so yeah, I know.
- 41:23Speaker 11: But that's that's one thing we can say. Me and
- 41:25Speaker 11: Timy are better people because we know you ain't. You
- 41:27Speaker 11: ain't emotional. You ain't gonna do that. What, man, let
- 41:31Speaker 11: me tell you something. And if you wonder why I'm
- 41:33Speaker 11: here and I be Poe is a real good motivational thing,
- 41:37Speaker 11: I use.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I'm here.
- 41:40Speaker 2: I won't be pope.
- 41:43Speaker 3: All right?
- 41:43Speaker 7: You Uh, this caller see left the message about voting.
- 41:48Speaker 10: We as black people, are not obligated to vote. I'm
- 41:52Speaker 10: telling people be obligated to vote. The ships never built.
- 41:55Speaker 10: Clud got to find our own way without help from
- 41:58Speaker 10: the people that we voted. Well, you don't need those, leader,
- 42:01Speaker 10: You your own leader. Stop telling our people to vote
- 42:04Speaker 10: for these hypocrists. Man, you part of this system.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Well, first of all, we are obligated to vote because
- 42:11Speaker 2: of our forefathers paid the price for us to vote,
- 42:14Speaker 2: for us to vote. But see it's ignorant as people
- 42:18Speaker 2: like you who sit up and think you're gonna create
- 42:20Speaker 2: your own system. Stop telling these people to vote for
- 42:24Speaker 2: these hypocritical people. What you don't understand is when you
- 42:27Speaker 2: don't vote, you allow the hypocrisy of America to continue
- 42:32Speaker 2: without you having a say so in it.
- 42:34Speaker 3: See it's an amazing thing.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Man, If you want to instead of having a seat
- 42:41Speaker 2: at the table. I would like to have a say
- 42:43Speaker 2: so on what's on the menu on the table. That's
- 42:46Speaker 2: what voting is for. Voting ain't gonna fix your life
- 42:50Speaker 2: and change your hopes for tomorrow. No, but it will
- 42:54Speaker 2: help you decide what type of policies this country puts
- 42:58Speaker 2: in place. So no, man, and I am going to
- 43:01Speaker 2: tell people that they are obligated to vote. I am
- 43:05Speaker 2: going to continue to push voting. Your forefathers, whether you
- 43:09Speaker 2: realize it or not, because you don't study history, died, whipped,
- 43:14Speaker 2: got flogged, drug maimed, water holes, German shepherds, just to vote,
- 43:23Speaker 2: that simple right to vote, to participate in the process.
- 43:29Speaker 2: That's why we vote. When you don't participate in the process,
- 43:33Speaker 2: you become a bystander. So then you have no business
- 43:38Speaker 2: talking about how it's going. So you can call here
- 43:41Speaker 2: all you want, man, and you can try to sound
- 43:43Speaker 2: all the angry as you want to, But your ignorant
- 43:46Speaker 2: ass should vote. And now if you don't like what
- 43:50Speaker 2: I just said about that, then send another damn email.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Mister Steve Harvey Morning Show. We are telling you you
- 43:57Speaker 2: have to vote. It is our obligation and duty ask
- 44:01Speaker 2: people to honor our forefathers who paid the price for
- 44:05Speaker 2: us to vote. I'll call here no more with that
- 44:07Speaker 2: ignorant ass mess man.
- 44:08Speaker 7: That's why he didn't leave his name, all right. Coming
- 44:10Speaker 7: up next, it is the nephew with today's prank phone call.
- 44:13Speaker 7: Right after as people you're listening morning show. Coming up
- 44:22Speaker 7: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after,

- 44:28Speaker 7: loves my love, handles and dimples. We'll get into that,
- 44:31Speaker 7: find out what that's all about. And just a few

- 54:31Speaker 7: church regularly, and I was celibate for three months. Then
- 54:34Speaker 7: I met a really great guy named Jarvis. Jarvis is
- 54:39Speaker 7: my preacher's nephew, so I figured he's a stand up guy.
- 54:43Speaker 7: He said he was attracted to me because I'm always
- 54:46Speaker 7: smelling good. He said he loves my love handles and
- 54:49Speaker 7: the dimples in my butt. He asked me to be
- 54:53Speaker 7: his girlfriend, and I got butterflies. I had to investigate
- 54:58Speaker 7: him first though. I found him on face Facebook and
- 55:00Speaker 7: I saw pictures of his skinny girlfriend all over his page.
- 55:04Speaker 3: There was a video where he.
- 55:05Speaker 7: Played a prank on her, like he was about to
- 55:08Speaker 7: ask her to marry him on April Fool's Day. She
- 55:11Speaker 7: and I have nothing in common. She's short and skinny,
- 55:15Speaker 7: and she doesn't.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Have any booty.
- 55:18Speaker 7: I was honest with Jarvis and told him that I
- 55:20Speaker 7: found his girlfriend's picture. I asked him if he prefer
- 55:24Speaker 7: if he prefers skin and bones or meat on the bones.
- 55:27Speaker 7: He said he wants me and he's done with her
- 55:30Speaker 7: because she doesn't want to get married. But he's stuck
- 55:33Speaker 7: with her because they live together and she doesn't have
- 55:36Speaker 7: any friends or family to go live with. I told
- 55:40Speaker 7: him he can live with me, so he moved some
- 55:43Speaker 7: of his stuff into my place. He spends most of
- 55:45Speaker 7: his time with me, but he doesn't want to be
- 55:48Speaker 7: meet because he doesn't want to be mean to his ex,
- 55:51Speaker 7: so he goes by to check on her once a week.
- 55:54Speaker 7: I feel really bad for her because she doesn't know
- 55:57Speaker 7: he plans to move out. Do you think it would
- 55:59Speaker 7: be easier for her if I told her? Okay, messy,
- 56:04Speaker 7: messy boots. Should you call and tell his girlfriend that
- 56:07Speaker 7: he plans to move out? No, of course you shouldn't
- 56:10Speaker 7: do that. I mean, what is that going to do?
- 56:11Speaker 7: But get your butt whooped again. I know it won't
- 56:14Speaker 7: be the first time you've had an encounter with the
- 56:16Speaker 7: wives and girlfriends of your men. You said you started
- 56:20Speaker 7: calling wives and girlfriends when the men told you their stories.
- 56:24Speaker 7: So I'm sure it didn't end well when you did that.
- 56:27Speaker 7: This is not your responsibility to contact these women. Ask yourself,
- 56:31Speaker 7: why aren't the men telling them? Because telling them, of course,
- 56:35Speaker 7: ruins the risk, or runs the risk, I should say,
- 56:38Speaker 7: of them losing everything and everybody. I mean, this is
- 56:41Speaker 7: too much of a gamble for them. But they still
- 56:43Speaker 7: don't need you to call them and tell these men
- 56:47Speaker 7: that you're with keep you on the side like Coleslaw,
- 56:51Speaker 7: and go home whenever they want to. That's the real
- 56:53Speaker 7: issue here, So you need to move on. You can
- 56:56Speaker 7: stay in this mockery of a relationship if you want to,
- 57:00Speaker 7: although I don't know why you would because you have nothing.
- 57:04Speaker 7: You've been the Coleslaw most of your adult life. You
- 57:06Speaker 7: said that, and you're thirty nine years old. Don't you
- 57:09Speaker 7: think it's time for a change, Steve.
- 57:12Speaker 3: All right, here we go.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Let's just going to get into the letter anyway. Cole
- 57:15Speaker 2: slough Side, all this red beans and rice, you know
- 57:19Speaker 2: talking about she got it from some TV still, bron
- 57:21Speaker 2: I ain't never seen any damn TV show, did Steven Shirley.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I'm thirty nine years old and I'm sad to say.
- 57:29Speaker 2: Here's the key to this whole letter, y'all, I've been
- 57:31Speaker 2: a side shiit for most of my adult life. I
- 57:34Speaker 2: got used to me and saying they was in terrible
- 57:36Speaker 2: marriagers or wasn't married at all. So I started calling
- 57:39Speaker 2: wives and girlfriends of men that I was sleeping with.
- 57:44Speaker 3: Oh, so you turned it into what is this a
- 57:47Speaker 3: business on side hustle?
- 57:51Speaker 4: What is you?
- 57:53Speaker 3: You know, home wrecking?
- 57:55Speaker 2: Are you in salvage marriage? Salvage business?
- 57:58Speaker 3: I don't know what you in.
- 58:00Speaker 2: I don't know what the cause was about. But anyway,
- 58:04Speaker 2: then earlier this year, you started going to church regularly
- 58:07Speaker 2: and I was celibate for three months. Damn, you been
- 58:10Speaker 2: out there strong for a woman to say, I've been
- 58:13Speaker 2: celibate for three months, that's that's like they women can
- 58:17Speaker 2: do that easy. I've been celibate for three months.
- 58:22Speaker 7: Huh, it's not easy, but they can do it.
- 58:24Speaker 3: It's not easy.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Well, I'm just you know, I'm just learning quite a
- 58:30Speaker 2: bit today. I was just in a complimentary ways, easier
- 58:34Speaker 2: more women can do it, and easier for a woman
- 58:36Speaker 2: to do it for three months. You know, I don't
- 58:40Speaker 2: see anyway. Okay, Well, so anyway, she started going to
- 58:44Speaker 2: church and was celibate for three months. Then I met
- 58:47Speaker 2: this really great guy named Jarvis. Now Javis is the
- 58:51Speaker 2: preacher's nephew, so I figured he was a stand up guy.
- 58:54Speaker 2: He said he's attracted to me because I always smelled good.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Said he loves my love hand and the dimples in
- 59:01Speaker 2: my butt. Now, wait a minute, Wait a minute. You've
- 59:05Speaker 2: been celibate for three months. How this Jarvis get to
- 59:11Speaker 2: the love handles and the dimples in the butt? I'm
- 59:14Speaker 2: just curious. So this is after unless you're saying after
- 59:18Speaker 2: three months, then you got involved with Jarvis and he
- 59:23Speaker 2: discovered your love handles and dimples. Okay, then that's whatever, lady.
- 59:29Speaker 2: I just don't know where you're going with this letter,
- 59:31Speaker 2: but I do have an idea. He asked me to
- 59:34Speaker 2: be his girlfriend, and I got butterflies. So he asked
- 59:37Speaker 2: you to be the girlfriend after he saw your love
- 59:39Speaker 2: handles and dimples in your butt.
- 59:41Speaker 3: All right.
- 59:42Speaker 2: I had to investigate him first though, Oh, this is
- 59:44Speaker 2: you've never done this before, So now you investigate a reporter.
- 59:47Speaker 2: You saw pictures and that was a video of him
- 59:49Speaker 2: playing a prank on his girlfriend. She was skinny. He
- 59:53Speaker 2: was about to ask her to marry him. On Able
- 59:55Speaker 2: Fool's Day, she and I ain't got nothing to come,
- 59:58Speaker 2: she showed and skinny, I'm big and white.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Now this is not in the letter, but I'm assuming
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: what Well, you know, Coleslaw.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Wasn't in the letter, but you read that too anyway,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: So anyway, it'll just being creative. Anyway, when I come back,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you what's really happening in this letter,
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: and it won't be nice.
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: It will have her too. Of Steve's response coming up
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: subject he loves my love handles and dimples. We'll get
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: back into it right after this. You're listening morning show,
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: all right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: The subject is he loves my love handles and dimples.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Well, this woman who has spent the majority of her
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: adult life as a side chick, in the words of
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: my co host Coldslaw, what those words she says she
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: got from off of a TV show which I've never seen. Well,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: that ain't where I got it from. I think we
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: all know where you've got this for. You're not goin
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: to talk about no damn TV show anyway, Tommy, thank you.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I got used to me and saying they was in
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: terrible marriages and everything. And then so I was calling
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: wives and girlfriends.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Of the men that I was sleeping with.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I don't know if she's into a marriage salvage business
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: or home wrecking company. I don't know what she in,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: but she's made a habit of this her adult life.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Then she started going to church regularly regularly, and I
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: was celibate for three months. Okay, I got it. She
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: was celebrate for three months. Then I met a really gay,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: great guy named Jarvis. So after the three months, she
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: met Jovis. I got it.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: So she's a preacher's nephew, so she figured he was
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: a good dude. He said he was attracted to me
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: because I'm always smelling good and he loves my love
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: handles and the dimples in my butt. Okay, he asked
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: me to be his girlfriend. I got butterflies. I had
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: to investigate him first, though, Well, I guess that's like
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: you've done everybody else. I found him on Facebook and
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: a book, and I saw pictures of his skinny girlfriend
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: all over his page. That was a video, He played
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: a prank on her, like he was about to ask
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: her the marijuana ain't for Food's day. She and I
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: have nothing in common. She's short and skinny. I'm thick
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: and wide, tall and wide, and she don't have any booty.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: And I got a whole lot of junk in the trunk.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Now this ain't in the letter, but that's what That's
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: what she said, she said. She said, though I have
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: nothing in common with her, she's short and skinny, so
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I'm figuring she's tall and not skinny. Why then, she said,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: and she has no booty. You can't have no booty
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: and dimples too, now because the dimples got to set
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: on something. I asked him if he preferred skin and bone,
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: meat on the bones. He says he wants me, and
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: he's done with her because she don't want to get married.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: But he's stuck with her because they live together and
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: she don't have any friends or family to go with.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: And of all the men, married men and boyfriends you've dated,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: you ain't heard this line before. Because this line sounds
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: very familiar. It's standard is stock. This is a stock
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: line that married me and us when they talking to women.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I told him he can come.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Live with me, So he moved. Listen to this.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Now he moves some of his stuff into my place. Okay,
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: he got toothbrush over there. Now, got some t shirts,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: socks compared draws. He spends most of his time with me,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: but he doesn't want to be mean to his ex,
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: so he goes by to check on her once a week.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: See now, I'm not.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Really sure that that's how this working, lady, because if
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: he lives with her but he don't want to be mean,
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: but he spending most of his time with you, but
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: he go by to check on her once a week,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: what is he telling her that where is he at
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: the rest of this time? Because I promise you, he
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: ain't telling her that he over there with you. I
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: feel really bad to her because she doesn't know he
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: plans to move out. Do you think it would be
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: easier for her if I told her?
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: So here we go.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Oh so now you want to go back and you
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: wanna do your emo. First of all, you're dating another
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: man that's already in a relationship, because that's what you do,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: You have practiced at it, and that's what you attract.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: You always attract me and that's not available, and you
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: always accept them because you allowed him to say the
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: same old thing. I'm in a horrible relationship. She don't
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: want to get married I do. I'm unhappy with her.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: You've heard this some hundred times or how many other times.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: You'dn't been in these relationships, and so the reason you
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: call the wives and the girlfriends is because you're miserable
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: and you want everybody else.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: To be miserable.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: You also call them because you have nobody, and now
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: you want them to have nobody. But you could stop
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: this vicious cycle by once you find out that the
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: man is committed relationship, don't go over there. But you
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: don't have room for a healthy relationship because you keep
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: partaking in these half relationships that never get you anywhere.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: What is wrong with you?
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Don't you see that you're doing this to yourself? And
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: when you call all these girlfriends and these wives, what
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: do you hope to accomplish? Ain't none of those men's
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: wives or girlfriends that you call and left none of
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: them men with you today? So now you're gonna do
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: the same thing to this man, and you gonna call her,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: and then you try to put the little why don't
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: know what you go to church for, but you're gonna
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: try to put the little church spin on it. Do
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: you think it would be easier for her if I
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: told her? What? How you think that's gonna be easier
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: A woman get a call from another woman talking about
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: your man is with me?
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: You think that it'll be easy?
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: No, You try to be the same funky person you being,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: and you're gonna get the same funky results you've been
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: getting because you're gonna lose Javis, just like you'd have
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: lost everybody else because Javis ain't yours again. Congratulations, Until
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: you stop it, it will never stop.

- 1:09:02Speaker 3: You said, somebody's in denial about my hair.
- 1:09:07Speaker 11: He said, I'm in I'm in denial. By uh, I'm
- 1:09:13Speaker 11: not in denial about it. You've already told it. We

- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I'm not sensitive.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: Holding your chest. Then, yeah, you just put the all
- 1:09:40Speaker 8: of your fingers on your chest. Braids by braids, I'm
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: not sensitive. Well take your hand off your chest, then
- 1:09:50Speaker 8: all five and they spread. You see that, you see

- 1:10:37Speaker 7: I have to hear about so and so's broken hip.

- 1:10:54Speaker 7: my mom about it because I don't want her spilling
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: the tea and gossiping about the wife's sickness. Is there
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: any way to stop my mother?
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Or is this just the way she is?
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: No, that's how she is. Though, ain't nothing you can
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: to do. She ain't got nothing else to talk about.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: She's a medical report down at the church. She's a
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: medical report down at you know anybody that said, listen,
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: you need people like that because when paramedics come or
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: people get rushed. She got all the medical records in
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: her head. She know about when they reported to sickness
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: and the illness. You need people like that, you know,
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: she's she's a medical chart, that's what she is. And
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: she's made that herd thing.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: It's certain people. Certain people have certain things, you know
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: that they keep up with. You know, you got sports
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: people keep up with baseball stats, know the batting averages
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: of all the players and stuff like that, kind of
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: like sports trivia. Well, your mama is medical trivia. She
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: just wants to do medical trivia for everybody. So ain't
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: nothing you can do about that, though, I ain't never
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: heard of that. So yeah, that her man, So God
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: bless her, keep us safe, you know, just let her
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: go ahead. That's what she do though. You know, sister,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: you know, sister, Harold Dean's hip is.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: She's getting it replaced on the third.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Harold know the date of the surgery.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: She's using the same doctrine that of Bert Peterson.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Used for his hip.
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: So he shouldn't tell her about his wife.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: Well, I made him at the church picnic. He didn't.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: He didn't want to play softball because his hands were
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: so precious to the medical field.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: You know he met the doctor not at all.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: Good doctor.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: All right, we have time for another one, Steve. This
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: is from uh Jaden on Steve Barb FM. Jaden says,
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: every time I try to ask a woman out on
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: a date, which isn't very often, I can't seem to
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: get over my shyness and end up mumbling and my
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: sentences trail off. I can imagine being confident and just
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: coming out and asking someone out, but when it comes
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: time to do it, I just fall back on being
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: my usual. I really need to get over being so timid,
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: but I don't know how What can I do to
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: become more confident? How can I overcome my shyness so
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: I can ask someone out?
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Well, Jaden, often I could really throw you into something,
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: but I'm not, so let's try to handle this a
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: little bit more diplomatically. Look, man, if you don't you're
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: gonna be by yourself. Okay. Now, if you want to
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: be with somebody, talk to somebody you're gonna have you
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: got to just try it. But nothing, nothing gets this
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: accomplished like practice. You got to practice. Look in the mirror,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: practice at jade, and then when you meet the.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Girl, do like you do. Be say look and just
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: admit to it. Hey, listen, I'm really shy.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: I'm not good at this, but I've been watching you
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: and I just think, man, I would love to get
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: to know you and you know, take the pressure off
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: and just say, I was wondering if, you know, if
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: we could go have coffee at Starbucks or something sometimes,
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: or dinner my treat, you know, just allow me to
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: just get to know you, you know, and just you know,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: put it out there and you know, hope you got
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: a good job or something, because you're gonna need something
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: to go ahead, to need a carrot or something, you know,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: because all this I don't talk and I don't know
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: what to say.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Stuff.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: You're gonna need at least a good job, you know,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: do that. Yeah, but that's what you're gonna have to do.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Job is, yeah, go ahead.
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: It's unattractive like us he of course you know that,
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: of course, Yeah, but.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: He's unattractive. That's that's usually what throw you into a shell.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: And you're looking at me and you can't believe anybody
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: would talk to you. So that's what he I was
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: trying to stay away from that, but you you know
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: how they feel.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, it took a long time.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: It took forty six years I had allowed to get over.
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Burny Show coming
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: up in twenty minutes after right after this, you're listening
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: Harvey Morning Show. South Dakota Governor Christine Noam is being
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: viewed as one of Donald Trump's possible VP running mates. However,
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: Noam is still facing widespread backlash after admitting in a
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: new memoir that she once shot and killed her misbehaving
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: fourteen month old puppy named Cricket instead of coming up
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: with a non lethal solution to the dog's lack of training.
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: In addition, Governor Noam also said that she met North
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: Korea's dictator Kim John Uhn during her tenure on the
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: House Armed Services Committee, and now she's walking that claim back,
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: saying she didn't meet Kim Jong un at all. So
- 1:15:50Speaker 7: she's just out here lying.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: Well does she think she you know what, That's what
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: she is and she wants to be vice president. But
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: let me tell you what Donald Trump has done. He
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: has taught all Republican candidates that it is okay to
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: not admit the truth and to make false statements and
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: all of them are being more and more Trump like,
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: even Tim Scott. They asked Tim Scott would he accept
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: the results of the twenty twenty four election if it
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: came out, and he said, I can't. You know, it
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: just all it's like and it's just a it strike
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: against democracy because if you can't count on the election,
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: then what are we doing here?
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: You know? Right?
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: And all of them are setting it up. So if
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: Donald Trump loses again, oh my goodness, watch this.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Watch this, y'all at a both.
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: Want to be a dictator. You have the need for democracy,
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: all right? Coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:53Speaker 7: we'll play another round of would you rather?
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: Right after this.
- 1:16:57Speaker 7: You're listening Hard Morning Show, and it's time now for
- 1:17:01Speaker 7: a round it would you rather? Would you rather have
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: the best house in the worst neighborhood or the worst
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: house in the best neighborhood? Junior? Hey, you rather have
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: the best house in the worst neighborhood?
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to talk trash, That's what I want
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: to No, I.
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: Want the worst and the best because that's still good. Yeah,
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: the worst and the best still a fly house?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I got the best one in the hood.
- 1:17:26Speaker 11: I'm good. We don't cut your grass, dot, But you
- 1:17:31Speaker 11: got all the burglar balls on.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: You got a lot going on, Steve.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: No, I'm not gonna take the worst and nothing, No, damn.
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: The best.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: Oh No, I'm not feel to be there.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Well we at least you're here.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: Well, at least you're here.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: You get that door, ficed got the lowest property on
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: the block.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: But it's nice.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: It's a nice little place, you know.
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: Sure, teasing him like you're teasing your name.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: I hope you're happy.
- 1:18:10Speaker 7: Would you rather live out the rest of your life
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: in the wilderness, in the wilderness or in jail? Make it?
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: I'm not doing jail. That's I will be on that wilderness. Dog,
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: I'm free.
- 1:18:26Speaker 7: Can you survive out there?
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: What?
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: What?
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: You ain't gonna you ain't gonna make it in jail. No,
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I ain't gonna make it in jail.
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: Would you rather have the power to never feel physical
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: pain or would you rather have the power to never
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: feel emotional pain?
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: A and B.
- 1:18:50Speaker 8: One of the other come ond that emotional pain is
- 1:18:56Speaker 8: something that's a whole other beast.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Uh So would you let me get rid of that?
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: I read physical pain?
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Any and this I guess emotionally. I'm intact.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: I can deal with emotional pain. I've been dealing with
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: that my whole damn like physical pain. You can have
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: that if I get that back. Yeah, cool, because if
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: you an emotional pain, at least you can't punch me.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: So you know, oh you over the fighting. Physical pain, well,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: emotional pain, it's a part of it. That's what it is,
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: the physical pain, Junior and Junior, I don't know what
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: the hell you talking about? This emotional pain? And shut
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: your ass up, would you?
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: Yeah? You do?
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: You have to do that? Yeah?
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: Would you rather have a personal driver or a personal bessager?
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: The suit driver?
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Driver drive?
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: You can drive me to a masus. I ain't worry
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: I want no damn massuits.
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: That's today's rounding, would you rather? Guys coming up at
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: forty nine minutes after our last break of the day,
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: and we'll close out the show with the one and
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: Morning Show. All right, Steve, here we are our last
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: break of the day, and to lead into your closing remarks,
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: we had a caller earlier who wanted to talk about voting.
- 1:20:35Speaker 7: You left a message here.
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: It is we as black people, are not obligated to vote.
- 1:20:40Speaker 10: I'm telling people be obligated to vote. The system's never
- 1:20:44Speaker 10: built for us. You got to find our own way
- 1:20:46Speaker 10: without help from people that we're voting for. You don't
- 1:20:49Speaker 10: need no leader. You your own leader stuff telling our
- 1:20:52Speaker 10: people to vote for these hipocrits. Man, you part of
- 1:20:55Speaker 10: the system.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: Well, you know, I don't know who you are because
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: you wasn't big enough to leave your name, of course,
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: but you can call my show and address me directly,
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: and everybody know who you're talking to. So number one,
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: if you're going to call this show and make a
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: statement contrary to something I say or promote, then be
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: man enough or woman enough to leave your name. That's
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: just a simple request so we can talk to each other,
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: so I can refer to you by name. But now
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: that I can't refer to you by name, let me
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: talk to people for a second. The reason I say
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: black people are obligated to vote because I truly, truly
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: feel that we are obligated to vote. See, it's people
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: like this who call in right here, who have nothing
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: to back up. Voting doesn't mean that you need to
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: be led. Voting doesn't mean that you give people power
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: over you. The reason we as black people are obligated
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: to vote because whether you know your history or not,
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: our forefathers died for the right to vote, to participate
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: in the system. See, it's one thing to have a
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: seat at the table is one is another thing to
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: decide what's on the menu. I've been at the table.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: I want to make decisions on what's on the menu.
- 1:22:20Speaker 16: Now.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: I don't need anybody to lead me, but I do
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: want to have a say, soul and who is at
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: the top, at the forefront of everything, so that we
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: can make a determination as of what we have a
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: say so in whatever it is they say, of the
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: direction they choose to go. But when you don't vote,
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: you can no longer open up your mind. We need
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: a system of our own. Okay, great, that's cool. But
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: how you gonna put that system in place? Because eventually,
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: one time you're gonna be able to put a person
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: in place that can agree with your system. But if
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: you've taken yourself out of the quay, then you can
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: stop complaining about the problem because you've removed yourself from
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: the equation. So whatever they lay on the table. Whatever
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: they put on the table, we now got to lap
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: it up and like it. This is one of the
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: most ignorant calls I've gotten. See it's people like you,
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: whoever your name is, who you wasn't man enough to
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: say it's people like you that make statements. We need
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: our own and you part of the system. I'm part
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: of the system. Are you crazy? Are you crazy?
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: Do you listen to this show every day? I'm part
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: of the system.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: How you know what the system is?
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: You ain't in it.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: You don't participate, and I'm assuming by now you don't vote.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: So what is your ignorant behind talking about Hey man,
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: you got a lot of nerve man calling this show
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: telling me to tell people to stop telling black people
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: that they obligated to vote. You are obligated to vote.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: It's our responsible to one another.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: It's our responsibility to our children, it's our responsibility to
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: our grandchildren. It's our responsibility to the less fortunate. See,
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: whether you know it or not, there are some people
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: who get in office and do policy. I don't know
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: if you heard me this week talk about what the
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Biden administration and Brydon Harris administration has been doing behind
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: the scenes. But then you probably don't watch the news
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: anyway because you probably think they ain't talking about you anyway.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: But there are a lot of programs in terms of
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: debt relief that's been passed out for people with student loans.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: There's been a lot of medical relief. There's been a
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: lot of programs put forward for black men in business,
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: who are in tech, who are in trade, who are
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: in all types of things. It ain't just barbershops. There's
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: been a lot of stuff put forward for black men.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: And you sound it like you happen to be a
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: black male, but you probably wouldn't want to partake in
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: any one of those programs because you off somewhere trying
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: to create a system for yourself. I'm all about a
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: person doing for themselves. Yeah, And I don't think we're
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: going to be dependent on government. But just because you
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: vote doesn't make you dependent on government. Ain't nobody in
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: here telling you to place your hopes and dreams in
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: some people. If you really listen to this show, I
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: tell people more to put their hopes in dreams and
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: faith in God than I do anything. But since we
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: are here, and I don't know if you notice in
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: the last election that happened, brother, whatever your name is,
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: that you wouldn't leave. I don't know if you noticed it,
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: but Michigan, Detroit, Philadelphia, Philly, Atlanta, Georgia was the deciding
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: factor in the presidential that Donald Trump would have been
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: president again had the black vote not stood up the
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: way it did.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: And it'll be the same thing again.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: So look, man, why don't you get some facts together
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: before you start spewing your ignorance and then you call
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: in on a national show and say something like that,
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: I don't know nobody telling black people not to vote
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: except you and a couple of ignorant ass people. And
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: for those of you blacks that are blacks for Trump.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: And then they got a new T shirt word that
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: has the N word on the N words for Trump. Oh,
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: y'all make me sick. Y'all make me sick. Grow up
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: and understand what we are about as a people. We
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: have a say soul, We have a seat at the table,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: and we should determine what's on the menu. Those are
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: my closing remarks to vote. Those are my closees remarks.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: And black people are obligated to vot. Yes we are,
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: and I will feel my obligation and I'm asking everybody
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: else to do the same. Those are my closing remarks today.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: Have a great one, y'all, Peace.
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: For all.
