Electricity rates in the United Kingdom are higher than anywhere else, largely due to the nation's push toward green energy. Although renewable sources like solar panels and wind turbines serve well as supplementary options, they cannot power an entire country on their own. Furthermore, the UK imports a majority of its solar panels from China—a country that shows little regard for clean energy domestically. This raises a fundamental question: is green energy genuinely beneficial?
