- 0:00Speaker 1: My guess is one of the premier motivational speakers in
- 0:02Speaker 1: the country. He created the Next Level Speakers Academy well
- 0:06Speaker 1: he trains thousands of individuals to show them how they
- 0:10Speaker 1: can take their marketing and a message to the world.
- 0:13Speaker 1: He's also co found at Next Level Living, where one
- 0:16Speaker 1: of their initiative is to provide monthly mails to thousands
- 0:19Speaker 1: of young children and five Cape Town South African communities.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Please welcome to Money Making Conversations for the first time,
- 0:26Speaker 1: Jeremy Anderson.
- 0:27Speaker 2: How you doing so man, blessed man, good to see
- 0:29Speaker 2: how you doing? Really good man? Recent honored Man of
- 0:32Speaker 2: the Year.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yes, Maxine King good friend of mine and I was
- 0:37Speaker 1: honored the host the metric Beautiful Wife.
- 0:39Speaker 2: There's a family affair. It was.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It was getting an honor like Man of the Year
- 0:43Speaker 1: before we get into an interview.
- 0:44Speaker 2: What does that mean to you?
- 0:46Speaker 3: You know, similar to what I should have in my
- 0:48Speaker 3: acceptance speech, right, like they were honoring me as Man
- 0:51Speaker 3: of the Year. But I felt like I was just
- 0:53Speaker 3: a man that was supported, a man that was covered
- 0:56Speaker 3: in prayer, a.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Man that was coached up. You know what I'm saying.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I feel like, you know, was a man that was
- 1:01Speaker 3: able to pay homage in respect to those who came
- 1:04Speaker 3: before me, who paved the way for me, right, So
- 1:06Speaker 3: I didn't want to say it before them, to say, yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 3: I'm the man of the year.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's like, now I'm a man of the year because of.
- 1:10Speaker 3: My pop, because of my mom, because of my wife,
- 1:12Speaker 3: because of others who have poured into me to help
- 1:15Speaker 3: shape and mold the man you see today.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You know a word that two words is used a
- 1:19Speaker 1: lot with athletics, the word wasted potential. And I wanted
- 1:23Speaker 1: to bring that into our conversation because a lot of
- 1:26Speaker 1: people realize wasted potential applies to you. When I say you,
- 1:30Speaker 1: not you, I'm talking about you who are listening to
- 1:32Speaker 1: the show. And how do you derive with wasted potential?
- 1:36Speaker 1: And how can someone not fall in that pit? If
- 1:39Speaker 1: they fall in the pit, how can they climb out
- 1:41Speaker 1: of that wasted potential pit.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest, man, My life's work is to
- 1:45Speaker 3: help people not experience waste the potential because that was
- 1:48Speaker 3: once me. Like, I've always been this guy to my core,
- 1:50Speaker 3: but I wasn't living a life for purpose, right. So
- 1:53Speaker 3: years ago, when I was growing up drugging alcohol, abuse,
- 1:55Speaker 3: a diagnosed with ADHD, living without my biological father, like
- 2:00Speaker 3: fail in the ninth grade. Three different times I failed,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and I was blaming everybody else. But I got to
- 2:05Speaker 3: a point where I was like, I'm not playing the
- 2:07Speaker 3: blame game. I'm about to focus on me and go
- 2:09Speaker 3: all lean. And so I was able to rehabilitate my life,
- 2:12Speaker 3: my soul become this new person. And now over the
- 2:15Speaker 3: last sixteen years, I've been living this life of purpose.
- 2:18Speaker 3: And so I tell other individuals like a lot of
- 2:20Speaker 3: people have wasted potential. That means they got something great
- 2:23Speaker 3: inside them, but they don't see it. They got something
- 2:25Speaker 3: great inside them, they don't know how to tap into it.
- 2:27Speaker 3: They got something great inside them, but they think like
- 2:29Speaker 3: their time has passed. They got some great inside them,
- 2:32Speaker 3: but they can't get over the victim mindset. They got
- 2:34Speaker 3: some great inside them, but they don't know how to
- 2:36Speaker 3: pursue the thing that God.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Has already put inside of them.
- 2:38Speaker 3: So that wasted potential is a real thing that people
- 2:41Speaker 3: struggle with every single day, and so I try to
- 2:43Speaker 3: show them like, no, no, no, it's a whole little world
- 2:46Speaker 3: out here. There's so much more you can accomplish and
- 2:48Speaker 3: achieve if you believe and then you pursue it.
- 2:50Speaker 2: But most people don't be peid.
- 2:52Speaker 3: They don't believe it and they don't pursue it, and
- 2:55Speaker 3: so that's what we call wasted potential.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So I'm just building our conversation at Jeremy because I
- 2:59Speaker 1: think they're as a journey. When you are constantly motivating
- 3:02Speaker 1: people your academy, that's what it does, right, and one
- 3:05Speaker 1: wants to come to your academy. A lot of people
- 3:08Speaker 1: have a perception of what motivation is or what public
- 3:11Speaker 1: speaking is. When one comes to your academy, what are
- 3:14Speaker 1: you trying to achieve and what perception are you trying
- 3:17Speaker 1: to tell people not.
- 3:18Speaker 2: To come with?
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yeah, so the first thing is people coming all the time.
- 3:22Speaker 3: They're like, I'm trying to get the bag. They like,
- 3:24Speaker 3: You've been a sevend figure speaking for years. Out of
- 3:26Speaker 3: watching you, I see your house, I see how you live.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I want to be a speaker for the bag, And
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm like, don't come to me for profits, come to
- 3:32Speaker 3: me for purpose, don't come for me for income, come
- 3:35Speaker 3: to me for impact. Because if your heart is in
- 3:37Speaker 3: the right place and you really do care about people
- 3:39Speaker 3: and you really do want to add value to the
- 3:41Speaker 3: people's lives. Now I'm i going to say you how
- 3:43Speaker 3: to live impact and make the income. Like I'm gonna
- 3:45Speaker 3: say you how to live a life a purpose and
- 3:47Speaker 3: make profits. So the first thing I look for is
- 3:49Speaker 3: din you even care about people? Because what I'm giving.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You it's too popent, it's too powerful, it's too annointed
- 3:54Speaker 2: for me to just give it to you.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And you go out here and just chase the bag,
- 3:56Speaker 3: but you're not really chasing the hearts of people.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And so that's the first thing I look for.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And then I'll take them to a process where I say, Okay,
- 4:03Speaker 3: now let me show you what it looks like, because
- 4:05Speaker 3: a lot of folks is like, I never thought I
- 4:07Speaker 3: made this type of money. I get so excited when
- 4:09Speaker 3: folks call me or face tied me and they in
- 4:11Speaker 3: tears and they like, man, I got one check for
- 4:13Speaker 3: an hour one stage, and this is more than I
- 4:15Speaker 3: would have made two three months breaking my regular job.
- 4:18Speaker 2: So we're showing them how to honest.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Their story, how to go deeper within, how to minister
- 4:23Speaker 3: and be a blessing and encourage people and inspire people by.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Sharing their story that was already within them. So we
- 4:29Speaker 2: talk about waste of potential.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I'm like, you're already went through all this pain, all
- 4:32Speaker 3: this hell, all this suffering, all this heartbreak, but you
- 4:35Speaker 3: overcame it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: But you keep it to yourself. It's only a testimony
- 4:38Speaker 2: if you testify.
- 4:38Speaker 1: A lot of people don't understand this, Jeremy when we talk,
- 4:42Speaker 1: but we're talking about value.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Now, people pay you for your value. Absolutely talk to them. Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So I tell folks all the time, like, you want
- 4:50Speaker 3: to be valuable, you got to add value. So you
- 4:53Speaker 3: got to be willing to say, Okay, what can I
- 4:55Speaker 3: do to add value? What can I do to be
- 4:56Speaker 3: a blessing? How can I solve a problem? Speakers want
- 4:59Speaker 3: to jump on stage to speak. I'm like, let me
- 5:01Speaker 3: tell you something. They gonna pay you about twenty five
- 5:03Speaker 3: hundred dollars max for you to jump on stage to speak.
- 5:05Speaker 3: But when you started getting the ten thousand, fifteen, twenty thousand,
- 5:09Speaker 3: fifty thousand, I'm like, they're not paying me top dollar
- 5:12Speaker 3: just because I'm motivational. I am solving a problem. I
- 5:15Speaker 3: am adding a value. So now when we're building out
- 5:17Speaker 3: their brand, we're building out the language of that website.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You know what I tell them, I say, hey, I
- 5:21Speaker 3: want to make sure that it flows and it doesn't feel.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Like I want to book the speaker.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I want the consumer to feel like I need to speaker, Yes,
- 5:28Speaker 3: I need this speaker.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Like you're not doing me a favor by bringing me in.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I'm actually doing you a favor, and I'm about to
- 5:34Speaker 3: tax you or charge you.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying because I know the value
- 5:37Speaker 2: that I bring.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So I tell folks all the time, like lead with
- 5:40Speaker 3: value and show up and over deliver and the opportunity
- 5:45Speaker 3: is gonna continue to flow.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The reason I really wanted you and I'm glad you
- 5:49Speaker 1: took the time to come up my show, Money Making
- 5:51Speaker 1: Conversation Masterclass, Jeremy, is that people don't understand that the
- 5:55Speaker 1: lessons you teach it your academy can be applied if
- 5:57Speaker 1: your small business owners can be applied for your fornio
- 6:00Speaker 1: or executive, a non executive and administration construction. So that's
- 6:07Speaker 1: the world of trying to really create here how to
- 6:12Speaker 1: take what you're training and let people know you can
- 6:14Speaker 1: apply it in your everyday life, eating in your relationship.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So the relationship part, that's all of them. The conversations
- 6:21Speaker 2: need to get to right but I'll.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Say this here, the same principles, the same business principles
- 6:26Speaker 3: that we teach people on the speaker side. It's the
- 6:28Speaker 3: same whether somebody got a construction company, whether they got
- 6:31Speaker 3: a daycare where they trying to open up a restaurant,
- 6:33Speaker 3: whether they do tax services or anything, or branding online.
- 6:36Speaker 3: You need to add value and then build yourself as
- 6:38Speaker 3: a credible source. You got to build yourself, but as
- 6:40Speaker 3: the expert, right, and so what have you gone through?
- 6:43Speaker 3: So there are some people you know this, right, Folks
- 6:45Speaker 3: mess around and go to college and you done went
- 6:47Speaker 3: to business class and then you getting taught about the
- 6:49Speaker 3: structure that ain't never filled out an EI in and
- 6:52Speaker 3: they ain't never got there.
- 6:53Speaker 2: They ain't never ran no business where they're teaching it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: When you go through the school of hard knocks and
- 6:57Speaker 3: you go through real life and you go through challenges
- 6:59Speaker 3: like life.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Has grown you.
- 7:01Speaker 3: So there's that instant credibility where there are people that's
- 7:03Speaker 3: watching your show right now and they got five, ten, fifteen,
- 7:06Speaker 3: twenty years of experience in their company, like there is
- 7:09Speaker 3: value that they can add. But how do they brand themselves?
- 7:12Speaker 3: How do they put themselves in the marketplace? How do
- 7:14Speaker 3: they carry themselves. Are they maximize every opportunity? So we
- 7:17Speaker 3: talking about money making moves we have in this conversation.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It's like when I'm gonna come in and speak work,
- 7:21Speaker 3: this is what speakers go wrong? Can I wax real quick?
- 7:24Speaker 3: They come in and speak and then when they get
- 7:25Speaker 3: done speaking, they just leave.
- 7:26Speaker 2: With a check.
- 7:27Speaker 3: It's like, nah, you stay behind. You get pictures, you
- 7:30Speaker 3: get footage, you get testimonials, you give referrals. Well, what
- 7:33Speaker 3: happens if somebody come in lake concrete on the property
- 7:35Speaker 3: I just bought.
- 7:36Speaker 2: They about to take pictures, They gonna put it on Google.
- 7:38Speaker 2: They about to.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Get some testimonials, they gonna ask for referrals. Like it's
- 7:41Speaker 3: the same type of system and flow, and so people
- 7:44Speaker 3: have to learn when it comes to business.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It's like juicing. I want to get every drop.
- 7:49Speaker 3: If I got a juicer and I'm putting carrots and
- 7:52Speaker 3: apples and all the shrewd in near I'm trying to
- 7:54Speaker 3: get every single drop out of this engagement, every single
- 7:57Speaker 3: drop out of this encounter, every single drop out of
- 7:59Speaker 3: the opportunity. And most people just kind of get whatever
- 8:02Speaker 3: they can get, but they're not maximizing that opportunity.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You don't want to miss an episode of Money Making
- 8:07Speaker 1: Conversations Masterclass, So right now, follow a subscribe to Money

- 8:22Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Welcome back to Money Making Conversations master Class with me
- 8:31Speaker 1: with Shan McDonald. If you're listening to the show or
- 8:35Speaker 1: watching the show speaking to Jeremy and Lison. He created
- 8:38Speaker 1: the Next Level Speakers Academy where he trains thousands of
- 8:42Speaker 1: individuals show them how they can take their marketing and
- 8:45Speaker 1: the message to the world. We're going to get to
- 8:47Speaker 1: another part later on in our interview where he co
- 8:50Speaker 1: found the Next Level Living where one of their initiatives
- 8:54Speaker 1: to provide monthly meals to thousands of young children and
- 8:57Speaker 1: five Cape Town, South African communities. Let's talk about how
- 9:01Speaker 1: does one get in touch with you, Jeremy.
- 9:03Speaker 3: So you know through my most people see myself on
- 9:06Speaker 3: YouTube when they're looking to book me. They'll see videos
- 9:10Speaker 3: under engages under what name Jeremy Anderson dot org like
- 9:13Speaker 3: they'll go to my website, but they'll typically they'll see
- 9:16Speaker 3: a motivation the video on YouTube, and at the end
- 9:18Speaker 3: they'll see my website. The music slowly fades out, black screen.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Jeremy Anderson dot orgs. That's my call asking, like I'm saying,
- 9:25Speaker 3: everybody come to my website. But when they go to
- 9:27Speaker 3: Jeremy Anderson dot org, they see all the different things
- 9:30Speaker 3: that I do in the speaking space. And so, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 3: like with other business owners, you gotta leverage social media.
- 9:36Speaker 3: You got levers content TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. You gotta
- 9:40Speaker 3: continue to add value, continue to get people the game
- 9:43Speaker 3: and be a blessing to them. And then when they're
- 9:46Speaker 3: ready and they're ready to spend, they're gonna remember the
- 9:48Speaker 3: people who remember them.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Here's interesting you feel nank three with three times oh man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: three different schools for the ninth grade. I always say
- 9:54Speaker 1: the two ladies in my life, Linda Trader and Georgia Nelson,
- 9:58Speaker 1: who kept me right. I was called him bumps when
- 10:01Speaker 1: I wanted to take the easy roller out in high school. No, no,
- 10:04Speaker 1: call my mom up there and my dad there. This
- 10:06Speaker 1: boy is special.
- 10:07Speaker 2: He's unique.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Kids, challenge, do not let him take the easy road.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Out and in order to fail three times, you were
- 10:14Speaker 1: taking the easy road out.
- 10:16Speaker 2: What got you on track?
- 10:17Speaker 3: So the first school I went to was a school
- 10:19Speaker 3: called oak Wood, and I said hunter Stood, Alabama.
- 10:24Speaker 2: And I was at oak Ward and I was off
- 10:26Speaker 2: the same.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I ain't gonna lie bro I was fighting every day,
- 10:29Speaker 3: starting rumbles at the school, doing pranks. And the last
- 10:32Speaker 3: thing I did is our school got all bent out
- 10:34Speaker 3: of safe because I.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Cut the electricity off in the school. You know what
- 10:36Speaker 2: I'm saying. That school went black and they was like, Okay,
- 10:39Speaker 2: he gotta go. So that whole year wasted.
- 10:41Speaker 3: The next year I went to school called Johnson High,
- 10:43Speaker 3: also in Hunster, Alabama. But on the first day I
- 10:45Speaker 3: had one teachers like, I ain't putting up with your mess.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I heard all about you. I ain't the one. I
- 10:49Speaker 3: got kids older than you. You ain't got to be here.
- 10:51Speaker 3: If you want to be here, just that, just the
- 10:54Speaker 3: energy like you just met me. But she was already
- 10:56Speaker 3: stereotype in me. And she called herself drawing a line
- 10:59Speaker 3: in the sand, and I that I was like, I
- 11:01Speaker 3: ain't trying.
- 11:01Speaker 2: To be here anyway. I had some other choice words
- 11:03Speaker 2: for her.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Never really went to class, never really focused, never really
- 11:06Speaker 3: showed up, failed and wasted that whole school year.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Now the third year came around.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'm at the school called Huntsville High also went Huntsville, Alabama.
- 11:14Speaker 3: And on the first day of school, the teachers was like,
- 11:16Speaker 3: we're so glad you're here. And I was like what.
- 11:19Speaker 3: They was just like, we heard so many interesting things
- 11:22Speaker 3: about you.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I was like wow.
- 11:24Speaker 3: They was just like, no, no, no, we believe there's
- 11:26Speaker 3: a scholar inside you. We believe that you can bounce back.
- 11:28Speaker 3: We believe there's a leader aside you. And so I
- 11:31Speaker 3: was like, wow, that's interesting. And so their energy was different,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and I saw that they kept showing up for me.
- 11:37Speaker 3: And when I saw their challenges and their pain, when
- 11:39Speaker 3: I realized teachers didn't have to be teachers, when I
- 11:42Speaker 3: realized they could have went into accounting and they could
- 11:43Speaker 3: have took up some other profession. When I saw teachers
- 11:46Speaker 3: that was diagnosed with cancer, one was grieving her husband,
- 11:49Speaker 3: you know, and said one used to be an engineer,
- 11:51Speaker 3: but he quit that job to be a teacher and
- 11:52Speaker 3: make a third of blessed money. Like when I saw that,
- 11:54Speaker 3: I felt they heart and they connected with my heart,
- 11:58Speaker 3: and I went all in it was like your you
- 12:00Speaker 3: believe in me, I believe in me, and so I
- 12:01Speaker 3: put my head down, handle my business, summer school, nice school,
- 12:05Speaker 3: caught up with my right grade, graduate from high school
- 12:08Speaker 3: on time, went to college, got my Baskelor's, got my
- 12:10Speaker 3: master's degree because they believed in me. So now I
- 12:13Speaker 3: trained is speak and motivate teachers, and I teach them
- 12:16Speaker 3: to teach by faith.
- 12:17Speaker 2: And not by sight.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Because I had other teachers that looked at me as
- 12:20Speaker 3: stereotype me right, But that third school, I came across
- 12:22Speaker 3: the group of teachers that chose to see the best.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And that's what you call environment. Absolutely, and so let's
- 12:28Speaker 1: talk about environment and mindset. And I like to be
- 12:31Speaker 1: able to keep this in the mindset of small business
- 12:34Speaker 1: owners who are surround generally surrounded by people who doubt
- 12:38Speaker 1: their success. Which could be your wife, it could be
- 12:40Speaker 1: your preacher, could be your co workers. Because everybody has
- 12:43Speaker 1: a stereotype of who or what you are capable of
- 12:47Speaker 1: achieving in life based on what they are right, And
- 12:49Speaker 1: that's the environment. How do you live in that same
- 12:53Speaker 1: environment but adjust the mindsets in that environment to achieve
- 12:56Speaker 1: your success well?
- 12:57Speaker 3: And sometimes sometimes you got to leave certain environments that
- 13:01Speaker 3: don't serve you well, you know what I'm saying. And
- 13:03Speaker 3: then sometimes there's also the environment of the mind because
- 13:06Speaker 3: add people say, go where you celebrated, now we tolerated.
- 13:08Speaker 2: That's deep. I get it. I hurt that twenty years ago.
- 13:11Speaker 3: But it's not always as easy to say I'm packing
- 13:13Speaker 3: up and I'm leaving this company, right, I'm packing up
- 13:15Speaker 3: and I'm leaving this marriage.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Like no, no, no, no, no, you are the common denominator.
- 13:18Speaker 3: You When they interview Nelson Mandela and they was like,
- 13:21Speaker 3: how does it feel to be free? My man was like, actually,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I was already free when I was behind bars, you
- 13:25Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. So sometimes the bars and shackles
- 13:27Speaker 3: we have in our lives, it's what's happening right here
- 13:29Speaker 3: instead of our brain. And so when we change the
- 13:31Speaker 3: environment of our minds, that can shift everything. And now
- 13:35Speaker 3: when we see ourselves better and we value ourselves more,
- 13:38Speaker 3: and we see the greatness that's societies and now that energy,
- 13:41Speaker 3: other people are attracted to that work that we see within,
- 13:44Speaker 3: and then they changed our outside environment as well, And
- 13:47Speaker 3: that's how folks can go through a whole other level.
- 13:49Speaker 3: But it starts right here and right here. There are
- 13:52Speaker 3: two ways of being a professional.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Like you go to the outlook that can tell you
- 13:55Speaker 1: you can schedule your emails, and then you have to
- 13:58Speaker 1: sometimes tell people who you are.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And so I'll send out of emails.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I wake up before a third They give emails five
- 14:04Speaker 1: going out and they come back later going you really
- 14:06Speaker 1: were up at five. That's establishing your brand. What is
- 14:10Speaker 1: the Jeremy Anderson's brand.
- 14:13Speaker 3: That's a good question, man. I would probably say perseverance
- 14:16Speaker 3: in family.
- 14:16Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Half the time when I'm speaking, I'm talking about family
- 14:19Speaker 3: and the things I've gone through. You know what I'm saying,
- 14:22Speaker 3: because there has been no one that has grown me
- 14:26Speaker 3: and broken my heart more than my wife. Ain't no
- 14:29Speaker 3: other personal planet Earth has hurt me and helped me
- 14:32Speaker 3: as much as she didn't hurt me intentively. We was
- 14:34Speaker 3: just two young, broken people trying to figure it out.
- 14:37Speaker 3: So I made it to sixteen years in marriage because
- 14:39Speaker 3: I embraced a lot of that pain. And so a
- 14:41Speaker 3: lot of times on stage I talk about that because
- 14:43Speaker 3: folks see you making millions and they see successful those
- 14:45Speaker 3: stage It's like, but you ain't see me crying and
- 14:47Speaker 3: you didn't realize when I was depressed, and you didn't
- 14:49Speaker 3: see me in my own personal counseling sessions, and you
- 14:51Speaker 3: ain't seen me in my marriage coaching sessions, and you
- 14:54Speaker 3: ain't see me trying to figure out how my clear
- 14:55Speaker 3: payroll for one of my other companies, like you didn't
- 14:57Speaker 3: see to struggle. So a lot of times I'm on
- 14:59Speaker 3: that my brand is perseverance, and I would say my
- 15:03Speaker 3: brand is family and everything I'm doing, I'm helping individuals
- 15:06Speaker 3: go to the next level and I'm helping them experience
- 15:09Speaker 3: next level living. But in order to do that, there
- 15:11Speaker 3: is a certain number amount of pain that you got
- 15:14Speaker 3: to experience. But I really believe I'm accounted all joy
- 15:16Speaker 3: I really believe that these.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Things is happening. Don't happen to me, They're happening for me.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I really do believe the challenges and hardships are gonna
- 15:24Speaker 3: work out for my good I don't just recite that.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I really do believe that.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Internally, and that is something that I'm constantly pursuing. So
- 15:31Speaker 3: I'm letting folks know it's not gonna be easy. Guess
- 15:33Speaker 3: what a public service announcement the world not gonna give
- 15:35Speaker 3: you what you deserve. The world gonna give you what
- 15:37Speaker 3: you work for. You gotta show up every single day
- 15:40Speaker 3: and work for. You know what I'm saying. An nobody
- 15:41Speaker 3: give me nothing but an opportunity, you know what I'm saying,
- 15:43Speaker 3: And so you got to show up and work for.
- 15:45Speaker 3: So my brand is work, it's gret it's perseverance. But
- 15:48Speaker 3: it's also family, you know what I'm saying. Because it's
- 15:50Speaker 3: one thing for me to win the Win of the
- 15:52Speaker 3: Year award, but for my wife to sit back and
- 15:54Speaker 3: be like, yeah, but he's the man of my life.
- 15:56Speaker 2: That's what hits. Because they could have gave me the
- 15:58Speaker 2: Man of the Year ward and my wife be.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Like this, I think, stay hear me. Rights all crazy
- 16:02Speaker 3: to me at home. But the fact that what the
- 16:03Speaker 3: world sees is what people see behind doors, that's the
- 16:07Speaker 3: real victory for me. And so I will say that
- 16:09Speaker 3: that that's what my brand looks like.

- 16:28Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more money Making Conversations master Class.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Welcome back to Money Making Conversations master Class with me
- 16:37Speaker 1: with Sean McDonald. Yeah, really interesting, Thank you for coming
- 16:41Speaker 1: on my show. I'm talking to Jerry Anderson found in
- 16:44Speaker 1: the Next Level Speakers Academy and and that's a nonprofit
- 16:47Speaker 1: Next Level Living.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Talk to my listeners about.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Excuses because we can tell people how we feel, whether
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's good or bad, but they really want to hear,
- 16:58Speaker 1: especially when they deem you being successful, right, talk about excuses.
- 17:02Speaker 2: So excuses is something I feel like every human struggles.
- 17:05Speaker 3: With because there's a difference between making an excuse versus
- 17:09Speaker 3: explaining where you are and what you got going on.
- 17:12Speaker 3: And so everybody's going to have a certain level of
- 17:15Speaker 3: challenges and situations. But what are you going to do
- 17:18Speaker 3: about it? And so for me, I try not to
- 17:20Speaker 3: make excuses. I try to take extreme ownership. So in
- 17:22Speaker 3: every single situation, I'm like, you know what, that was
- 17:24Speaker 3: my fault? What could I have done differently? Yes, this
- 17:27Speaker 3: went wrong and she dropped the ball here, but really, ultimately,
- 17:30Speaker 3: if I'm involved, it's probably something different I could have did.
- 17:33Speaker 3: So I try to get rid of excuses. And I
- 17:35Speaker 3: actually my team knows running joke across all of our companies.
- 17:39Speaker 3: They know that one thing that really takes me off
- 17:41Speaker 3: is excuses. I'm like, just take ownership. But when I
- 17:44Speaker 3: start breaking out in the hives and I start hearing excuses,
- 17:46Speaker 3: and folks is like, well if this would have happened
- 17:48Speaker 3: and that happened, well when it's I'm like, I don't
- 17:50Speaker 3: want to hear no excuses.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Just admit you dropped the ball. Just admit you make mistakes,
- 17:54Speaker 2: Just admit that you're human. I have so much respect
- 17:56Speaker 2: for that.
- 17:57Speaker 3: So I'm by yo, miss me with the excuses, because
- 17:59Speaker 3: I ain't never met nobody that become great from excuses.
- 18:01Speaker 2: And you can reach way more.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Accomplishments and way more success with criticism than you will
- 18:06Speaker 3: with praise and adoration. And so I tell folks like, now,
- 18:09Speaker 3: embrace it. You made a mistake, you dropped the ball,
- 18:11Speaker 3: you screw it up, but it's okay. But don't give
- 18:13Speaker 3: me a whole bunch of excuses. Tell me what you learn,
- 18:16Speaker 3: what you'll do differently next time, And that's how you're
- 18:19Speaker 3: going to start embrace.
- 18:19Speaker 2: The next level living. Next level living. Let's talk about that.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, because before I want to make sure go to
- 18:28Speaker 1: your website.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Yep, Jeremy Anderson dot org now is next Level Academy.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Around the next level speaking academy is separate.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So let's talk about because you speaking, I want to
- 18:40Speaker 1: also drive them to that website.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Talk about that, right, Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 3: So we have the myself and doctor Eric Thomas d
- 18:47Speaker 3: T to Hip Hop preacher number one motivation speaking of
- 18:49Speaker 3: what I mean this brother charging one hundred and fifty
- 18:51Speaker 3: thousand dollars every time.
- 18:52Speaker 2: They take the stage. Right.
- 18:53Speaker 3: So, doctor Eric Thomas and myself came together years ago
- 18:57Speaker 3: and we created the number one professional speaking program in
- 18:59Speaker 3: the world. Like we've got an online course community, three
- 19:03Speaker 3: different courses, weekly coaching calls, speech practice calls, like everything
- 19:07Speaker 3: you need from A to Z on how to become
- 19:09Speaker 3: a successful communicator. Some people want to be motivational speakers,
- 19:14Speaker 3: some want to be educational consultants. Some want to do
- 19:16Speaker 3: professional development workshops, some want to do ted talks. Like
- 19:20Speaker 3: we literally cover every aspect corporate, faith based, men and
- 19:23Speaker 3: women empowerment.
- 19:24Speaker 2: We cover every aspect of our speakers community.
- 19:27Speaker 3: And we've got thousands of members across the country, a
- 19:31Speaker 3: dozen different thriving chapters in major cities, and we're literally
- 19:34Speaker 3: helping people quit their jobs for those who want to quit.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Some people love their career, they just want to speak
- 19:40Speaker 3: part time supplement and supplement their income. But I think
- 19:42Speaker 3: it's so crazy when I meet somebody that's like, I
- 19:45Speaker 3: love my job as a dentist or a teacher, or
- 19:48Speaker 3: I actually love what I do in construction, but I
- 19:50Speaker 3: made an extra eighty six thousand dollars speaking part time.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I get so excited when people are like, man, I
- 19:55Speaker 3: got my first ten thousand dollars check, and it blows
- 19:57Speaker 3: my mind their minds. I love it when people sa say, man,
- 20:00Speaker 3: I'm a six and I'm a seven figures. We got
- 20:02Speaker 3: several seven figure speakers now, and these are all people.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Were pure heart.
- 20:07Speaker 3: They would have took the stage to speak for free.
- 20:09Speaker 3: They've been doing it for free. But we show them
- 20:11Speaker 3: how to monetize their message, how to brand themselves and
- 20:14Speaker 3: really take themselves to market.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So I am so proud of it because.
- 20:17Speaker 3: When I'm seeing what it's doing for our community and
- 20:19Speaker 3: people across the globe, it's truly something special. So I
- 20:22Speaker 3: tell people go to Next Level Speakers Academy dot com
- 20:25Speaker 3: to learn everything that we've been doing in this space,
- 20:29Speaker 3: and man, we're helping people literally change the world.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Because it's one.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Thing for me and Et and Inkey Johnson to be
- 20:35Speaker 3: successful speakers, but now if I can help thousands of
- 20:38Speaker 3: other people become successful speakers, how much more good are
- 20:42Speaker 3: we doing out here in the world. It's like that
- 20:44Speaker 3: multiply effect. And so it's somewhere really proud of, you.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Know, the beauty of because I went to one of
- 20:49Speaker 1: y'all speaking engagements back in twenty seventeen. Okay, well that's
- 20:53Speaker 1: why I first saw you on State Okay, and actually
- 20:56Speaker 1: we didn't meet.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I just saw you on States.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Backstage talking to Thomas. But the audience makeup was very,
- 21:05Speaker 1: very white, Hispanic black. One would automatically think, Okay, he's
- 21:10Speaker 1: a black guy, it's gonna be a black audience.
- 21:13Speaker 2: That's not true. Yeah, yeah, so ET's brand.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I would say that our community, our speakers academy community
- 21:21Speaker 3: now is about seventy five percent African American.
- 21:23Speaker 2: But that's probably the State.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Ready conference that we did in twenty seventeen, and so
- 21:28Speaker 3: that was a nice mixture of people that came in
- 21:31Speaker 3: from all over the country and even abroad that want
- 21:35Speaker 3: to be motivational speakers or they want to just be motivated.
- 21:38Speaker 3: They wanted to go to that next level. They wanted
- 21:40Speaker 3: to be able to stay ready, so they ain't got
- 21:42Speaker 3: to get ready. So on what we found outside of race,
- 21:45Speaker 3: outside of political parties, man, outside of the different things
- 21:49Speaker 3: that divide us, there's way more than unites us. And
- 21:52Speaker 3: what we have found is that people are looking for
- 21:54Speaker 3: something real. People will look for something raw. People want
- 21:57Speaker 3: to live a life a purpose. People don't want to
- 21:59Speaker 3: have their livelihood only connected to the government and what
- 22:04Speaker 3: can happen.
- 22:04Speaker 2: They're like, they want to be free, you know what
- 22:06Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 22:06Speaker 3: They don't want to be in that position where they're
- 22:08Speaker 3: not living to their full potential. And so people tend
- 22:11Speaker 3: to tap in with us when they're really truty to.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Go to that next level.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Like okay, the brother captures everywhere, every one of the disciples. Yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 1: of that platform, and now you're changing world, but not
- 22:22Speaker 1: only do your speaking, but through your next level living.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yeah. South Africa? Yeah? Why South Africa? So I went there.
- 22:29Speaker 3: My first time in South Africa was twenty sixteen, and
- 22:33Speaker 3: I met some individuals there man, and it was a
- 22:35Speaker 3: great experience. I was in Johannahsburg, okay bird, and then
- 22:39Speaker 3: a few months some people there was like you were
- 22:41Speaker 3: too powerful. We need you to come to Cape Town.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I was like, where's Cape Town? There's like is this
- 22:45Speaker 3: stuff right here? Because now we gotta talk about stereotypes.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Okay, okay, because you talk.
- 22:50Speaker 1: About you've been sold a brand in America or what
- 22:53Speaker 1: Africa is?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Right? So going over there, there's a lot of uncertainty.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I pulled up at the Maslow hot Tell.
- 23:00Speaker 3: It's said, I've seen a Bentley, I seen a Masariety,
- 23:04Speaker 3: I've seen a Porsch truck, and then I saw Ferrari
- 23:07Speaker 3: and I'm thinking, like where the naked fulk playing drums?
- 23:11Speaker 3: And I walk in the mass Low Hotel and I'm like,
- 23:13Speaker 3: this is one of the nicest hotel.
- 23:15Speaker 2: They took me to my suite. I was like, what
- 23:17Speaker 2: in the world. I couldnot wait to get back to
- 23:19Speaker 2: the States.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:20Speaker 2: They say, this ain't what you thought it was. It's sad.
- 23:22Speaker 2: It's sad.
- 23:23Speaker 1: We have to deliver that message because when you laying
- 23:27Speaker 1: nothing but beautiful black woman billboards of every artist that
- 23:31Speaker 1: you will see, you know, John Legend or Kevin the
- 23:35Speaker 1: Hard or whoever is this major start you see on
- 23:38Speaker 1: their billboards. You know, it's a major shift, and it's
- 23:43Speaker 1: a major insult to what the story they tell you
- 23:46Speaker 1: about Africa that is really working and succeeding in Africa.
- 23:51Speaker 1: That's the major thing that I was so disappointed, yeah, myself.
- 23:56Speaker 3: And so now so now I found myself an African.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I'm letting folks like, Africa is beautiful. My wife, let
- 24:02Speaker 3: me tell you something. She loves so much. She want
- 24:04Speaker 3: to spend six months now in South Africa. And E
- 24:06Speaker 3: t talking about you need to make it happen. I'm like,
- 24:09Speaker 3: you don't just do that overnight.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That plane ride because I fell in love with Durban Africa.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Okay, and man, I'm.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Looking at houses that plane ride though, brother, but you
- 24:21Speaker 1: change your mind.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but then you get used to that del to
- 24:24Speaker 3: one and then you go sleep and you wake number
- 24:26Speaker 3: you're there.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But it is a beautiful place. And after Joe Burgh, about.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Three months later, they brought me into Cape Town, which
- 24:33Speaker 3: is on the coast, which is, as you know, beautiful.
- 24:36Speaker 2: On that water.
- 24:37Speaker 3: And then about four months later they brought me back
- 24:39Speaker 3: to Cape Town. Well, by my third time in South Africa,
- 24:42Speaker 3: my handlers and people who brought me in. You know,
- 24:45Speaker 3: I'm staying at nice hotels. I was like, man, show
- 24:47Speaker 3: me the city. And they showed me where they grew up.
- 24:50Speaker 3: And I saw the hood. Now you know here in
- 24:52Speaker 3: the States we have the half and half nots. It's
- 24:55Speaker 3: different there. They're half notz is, third floors, no electricity,
- 25:00Speaker 3: ten walls. They might not you know, they eat every
- 25:03Speaker 3: other day, one meal. So when I saw the babies
- 25:06Speaker 3: and I saw the kids, it's like it pricked my heart.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And so we began to.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Like tie to an organization there and some folks there,
- 25:15Speaker 3: and it was like, man, we want to send a
- 25:16Speaker 3: couple thousand dollars, you know, send a month to just
- 25:19Speaker 3: feed some of these kids. Because I was showing them
- 25:21Speaker 3: how to do community outreach and I was showing them
- 25:23Speaker 3: how to be a blessing. And so we started to
- 25:25Speaker 3: feed my Sheep program. And so they was out there
- 25:28Speaker 3: feeding the kids. And when I saw how consistent they
- 25:30Speaker 3: were for about a year and a half, in twenty eighteen,
- 25:33Speaker 3: we set up our official nonprofit organization and since twenty eighteen,
- 25:37Speaker 3: we've been feeding one thousand starving children every single week.
- 25:41Speaker 3: They're in Cape Town, South Africa, across a number of communities.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And in twenty twenty we started our college sponsorship program
- 25:49Speaker 3: and since twenty twenty we put sixty kids through college.
- 25:51Speaker 2: There beautiful. Now that's a Shepherd website.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah now that is yeah, yeah, now that is Next
- 25:57Speaker 3: Level Livinginc.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Dot org.
- 26:00Speaker 3: And I'm just gonna say this, out of all the websites,
- 26:03Speaker 3: if somebody is like, man, I want to book Jeremy
- 26:05Speaker 3: to come in and speak for my company in my school,
- 26:07Speaker 3: like Jeremy and it is in the Oragle, and man,
- 26:09Speaker 3: I want to have Jeremy, you know, coach me and
- 26:11Speaker 3: join the speakers Academy Next Level Speaks Academy dot com.
- 26:14Speaker 3: But don't nothing get me more excited then when people say, man,
- 26:18Speaker 3: I want to be a part of this piedentthropic work
- 26:20Speaker 3: because as a Now you know, doctor Maxine came right
- 26:23Speaker 3: who blessed both of us with the Man of the
- 26:25Speaker 3: Year war.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Let me tell you why I love her, dearly bruh.
- 26:28Speaker 3: When she saw that me and Tracy was carrying our
- 26:31Speaker 3: foundation ourselves financially, when she saw that ninety percent of
- 26:35Speaker 3: it was coming from us, when she saw we ain't
- 26:37Speaker 3: have no corporate sponsors like she was troubled. She was like,
- 26:40Speaker 3: you should not have to do this by yourself. And
- 26:42Speaker 3: I'm like, yo, this is what God told me to do.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Like I'm just gonna do.
- 26:45Speaker 2: What he told me to do.
- 26:46Speaker 3: And she was just like, I've got to help you
- 26:47Speaker 3: get some sponsors. Like she's like, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:50Speaker 3: So though I'm proud of the work we've done with
- 26:52Speaker 3: the sixty kids in college, the thousand kids every week
- 26:55Speaker 3: we feed, there is so much more work to do.
- 26:58Speaker 3: And so if anybody that you know of that might
- 27:00Speaker 3: be interested in working, it's with us and supporting one
- 27:03Speaker 3: time monthly donation next level Living Inc.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Dot org.
- 27:07Speaker 3: You know we're gonna make keeping greater impact together, So
- 27:09Speaker 3: thank you for asking about that.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It's three levels with just brother, you know from a
- 27:13Speaker 1: staying he wants to motivates you to win.
- 27:16Speaker 2: He's a businessman, and he gives back to the community.
- 27:19Speaker 2: That's it.
- 27:19Speaker 1: The one and only, Jared, Thank you to making Conversation
- 27:23Speaker 1: Masterclass absolute
