- 0:00Speaker 1: You may remember a guy by the name of John Brennan.
- 0:03Speaker 1: He's a guy that came up with some amazing theories
- 0:07Speaker 1: about Donald Trump and conspiracy theories about Trump Russia, Russia collusion.
- 0:13Speaker 1: All things he knew were lies trying to well undermine
- 0:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump and influenced the last election. We also know
- 0:21Speaker 1: that he said some pretty outlandish things, for example, about
- 0:24Speaker 1: Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. You may remember when they
- 0:27Speaker 1: met in Alaska. John Brennan speculated on this.
- 0:31Speaker 2: So I think you could see on Putin's face he
- 0:33Speaker 2: felt very, very comfortable, and the fact that he was
- 0:36Speaker 2: given a ride then in the presidential limousine the Beast.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I certainly hope the Secret Service has swept that vehicle
- 0:42Speaker 2: very well in terms of any type of small microchip
- 0:46Speaker 2: that might have been put in the in the vehicle.
- 0:48Speaker 2: But then in the press conference, Putin looked chipper, he
- 0:52Speaker 2: looked upbeat.
- 0:54Speaker 1: There's the conspiracy theory himself, the man that loves to
- 0:58Speaker 1: spread these things, John Brennan, speculating his expertise right as
- 1:03Speaker 1: a former leader in the Deep State, that Vladimir Plutin
- 1:07Speaker 1: planted a microchip in Trump's presidential limo during their short
- 1:11Speaker 1: ride together on the tarmac. John Brennan also made it
- 1:16Speaker 1: very clear that if you think that his now criminal
- 1:20Speaker 1: referral is somehow based in fact, oh no it is not.
- 1:25Speaker 1: This is all because of Donald Trump. And Donald Trump
- 1:30Speaker 1: is a guy that is coming after me, trying to
- 1:34Speaker 1: intimidate me. And I'm not going to be intimidated by
- 1:38Speaker 1: the Trump or his administration.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I know you're not gonna like this question because you
- 1:43Speaker 3: and tel people to like talk about yourselves and all
- 1:46Speaker 3: of that. But I'm curious how you're doing and how
- 1:48Speaker 3: your family is doing, because these moments are you know,
- 1:51Speaker 3: We've talked to Miles Taylor, We've talked to Michael Feinberg,
- 1:55Speaker 3: people who are in the crosshairs of these kinds of
- 2:01Speaker 3: possible investigations and how it changes your entire life and
- 2:05Speaker 3: how you and your family can operate.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So how are you well.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm glad that Jim Comy put out that video statement
- 2:10Speaker 2: the other night where he said that they're not going
- 2:12Speaker 2: to live on their knees his family and others shouldn't
- 2:15Speaker 2: as well. I'm not going to be intimidated by the
- 2:17Speaker 2: likes of Donald Trump. I have always tried to speak
- 2:21Speaker 2: my mind and do what I thought was right, and
- 2:23Speaker 2: clearly there is a corruption and a perversion of the
- 2:28Speaker 2: justice system right now within the executive branch. And so
- 2:31Speaker 2: I don't know what may be coming my way, but
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm not going to do things that are inconsistent with
- 2:37Speaker 2: my ethics and my values and what it is that
- 2:39Speaker 2: I believe is important. I think more people have to
- 2:41Speaker 2: speak out when they see injustice, when they see a
- 2:46Speaker 2: government that is abusing its authority and its power.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I think more and more.
- 2:50Speaker 2: People have to speak out.
- 2:51Speaker 5: And I'm waiting for those Republicans in Congress to come
- 2:53Speaker 5: to their senses because the damage that's being done to
- 2:56Speaker 5: this country and the dangerous times that we're in, I
- 2:59Speaker 5: think too many Americans do not appreciate the extent of that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: And certainly I think we're in for even choppier waters it.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Talking about chompier waters ahead.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Now you notice the media there trying to turn him
- 3:13Speaker 1: into some sort of victim there.
- 3:15Speaker 4: In that interview.
- 3:17Speaker 1: John Brennan on classified documents, for example, he had this to.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Say, is here a director Brennan, let me start with you.
- 3:25Speaker 6: Bryan Goodman of Just Security tweeted this quote. I expect
- 3:29Speaker 6: this will result in espionage Act Charges dissemination is key.
- 3:34Speaker 6: That was his response to this new Washington Post reporting
- 3:38Speaker 6: Do you think he has a point? Do you see
- 3:40Speaker 6: it that way?
- 3:41Speaker 1: By the way, this is in reference to workers that
- 3:44Speaker 1: move quote mar Lago boxes the day before the Justice
- 3:46Speaker 1: Department came for those documents.
- 3:50Speaker 4: So again, it's the guy.
- 3:51Speaker 1: That wants you to believe that he's never done anything wrong,
- 3:54Speaker 1: that he was never going after his political enemies, he
- 3:57Speaker 1: never lied to Congress, He's got everything perfect. And this
- 4:00Speaker 1: is a response to the President's home being rated. But
- 4:03Speaker 1: first I got to ask you a question. Every so often,
- 4:06Speaker 1: something happens that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are.
- 4:10Speaker 1: We can't afford to take our rights for granted. We
- 4:13Speaker 1: must draw a line in the sand, and our friends
- 4:16Speaker 1: at Patriot Mobile have been doing just that for more
- 4:19Speaker 1: than twelve years. The truth is there is only one
- 4:23Speaker 1: provider that boldly stands in the gap for Americans who
- 4:26Speaker 1: believe freedom is worth fighting for, and that company is
- 4:29Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading the red economy,
- 4:33Speaker 1: they're also outpacing the competition and technology. Patriot Mobile is
- 4:38Speaker 1: one of the only carriers offering premium access to all
- 4:43Speaker 1: three major US networks, giving you nationwide coverage and service
- 4:47Speaker 1: that you can count on day after day. They also
- 4:50Speaker 1: offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet backup,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and so much more. And switching has never been easier.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You can activate in minutes on your phone from your
- 5:03Speaker 1: home or your office and you keep your same number.
- 5:05Speaker 1: You've got now keep your same phone, or upgrade to
- 5:08Speaker 1: a new one. And this is where the magic happens.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Every month, about five percent of your bill is given
- 5:14Speaker 1: back to conservative causes at no extra cost to you
- 5:18Speaker 1: that stand up for our First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the rights of unborn children, and are wounded warriors and
- 5:24Speaker 1: those that have fought for a country and wear a badge.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So take a stand today and make a difference with
- 5:30Speaker 1: every call you make.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Patriot Mobile dot.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Com slash ferguson or nine to seven to two Patriot.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Use the promo code ferguson for a free month of
- 5:41Speaker 1: service as well. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or
- 5:47Speaker 1: nine seven to two Patriot and make the switch and
- 5:50Speaker 1: make a difference with every call you make.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Again, this is the guy that wants you to.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Believe that he's never done anything wrong, that he was
- 5:57Speaker 1: never going after his political enemies, he never lied to
- 5:59Speaker 1: congres He's done everything perfect. And this is a response
- 6:03Speaker 1: to the present home being rated well.
- 6:05Speaker 2: This certainly seems like more damning evidence. And if these
- 6:08Speaker 2: reports are true, it's unsurprising given Donald Trump's lifelong disregard
- 6:14Speaker 2: of the rules, disrespective law, and arrogant sense of entitlement
- 6:18Speaker 2: in terms of he can do anything he wants. But
- 6:21Speaker 2: now he is dealing with a very very serious issue,
- 6:24Speaker 2: which is classified documents and obstruction of justice. And at
- 6:27Speaker 2: least according to this report, there were efforts made right
- 6:31Speaker 2: on the eve of this investigation on the part of
- 6:34Speaker 2: FBI to obscure and to conceal evidence. And so it
- 6:39Speaker 2: doesn't look very good for Donald Trump. Again, if all
- 6:41Speaker 2: this evidence is mounting, and Jack Smith is a special
- 6:46Speaker 2: counsel of the highest integrity with a dogged determination to
- 6:49Speaker 2: find a truth in this matter, so it's clear that
- 6:52Speaker 2: they have been quite active in this investigation.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So there it is. That is just some of the
- 6:57Speaker 1: history of John Brennan. I wanted to lay that down
- 7:01Speaker 1: for you as a foundation so that we can now
- 7:04Speaker 1: get to what has happened, and that is the new
- 7:07Speaker 1: breaking news, the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has
- 7:12Speaker 1: officially sent a referral letter to the US Department of
- 7:16Speaker 1: Justice asking for a criminal prosecution of Brennan. The letter
- 7:21Speaker 1: alleges that Brennan quote knowingly and willfully made false statements
- 7:27Speaker 1: a material fact during his transcribed interview conducted by the
- 7:33Speaker 1: Committee on May the eleventh of twenty twenty three. This
- 7:37Speaker 1: is coming directly from the House Judiciary Committee. The alleged
- 7:41Speaker 1: false statements relate to his testimony about the role of
- 7:44Speaker 1: the Steele Dossier in the twenty seventeen Intelligence Assessment, the
- 7:49Speaker 1: Intelligence Community Assessment, or the ICA on the Russian election interference. Again,
- 7:54Speaker 1: this is all coming directly from the House Judiciary Committee.
- 7:58Speaker 1: The referral points to the Federal Statute eighteen USC. One
- 8:03Speaker 1: thousand and one False Statements to Congress as a proposed
- 8:07Speaker 1: basis for the criminal liability. Now, let me just explain
- 8:11Speaker 1: to you in layman's terms, what this really is all about.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's that John Brennan knew that the Still dossier and
- 8:19Speaker 1: all of this connection between Donald Trump and Russia was
- 8:23Speaker 1: a fabricated, made up live The FBI had used the
- 8:27Speaker 1: Still dossier to try to go somewhere with it, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: what did they do. They even had it marked as
- 8:33Speaker 1: user generated, meaning it was a lie. They even offered
- 8:36Speaker 1: a million dollars to steal if he could corroborate anything
- 8:39Speaker 1: in the Stee dosier. They never paid them the money
- 8:41Speaker 1: because they knew he couldn't do it, and they knew
- 8:44Speaker 1: that the Stile dossier was paid for by the Hillary
- 8:47Speaker 1: Clinton campaign for president and the Democratic National Committee in
- 8:52Speaker 1: twenty sixteen.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yet they weaponized it.
- 8:55Speaker 1: They decided to use it to move forward, which brings
- 8:59Speaker 1: us to Brennan. Now, he wants you to feel sorry
- 9:02Speaker 1: for him, like he's being persecuted. So let's just go
- 9:06Speaker 1: back through the overall timeline of the major events.
- 9:09Speaker 4: This is what matters.
- 9:11Speaker 1: January sixth of twenty seventeen, the intelligence community.
- 9:16Speaker 4: The CIA, the FBI, the.
- 9:18Speaker 1: NSA issued a declassified version of the ICA titled Assessing
- 9:24Speaker 1: Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections. Again, this
- 9:30Speaker 1: is coming from the House Judiciary Committee. May the twenty
- 9:33Speaker 1: third of twenty seventeen, Brennan testified before the House Permanent
- 9:39Speaker 1: Select Committee on Intelligence at an open hearing on Russian
- 9:44Speaker 1: active measures during the twenty sixteen election. Campaign and made
- 9:49Speaker 1: statements about the Stile dossier. The referral letter points to
- 9:52Speaker 1: his false statements in that earlier hearing as part of
- 9:56Speaker 1: a broader pattern. You fast forward to May eleventh, twenty three,
- 10:01Speaker 1: Brennan sat for a transcribed interview with the House Judiciary Committee.
- 10:06Speaker 1: In that testimony, according to the referral letter, Brennan claimed
- 10:10Speaker 1: the CIA was not I'm gonna say that again, the
- 10:14Speaker 1: CIA was not involved at all with the Steele dossier.
- 10:19Speaker 1: That is a direct quote from John Brennan in his
- 10:23Speaker 1: testimony the House Judiciary Committee. Fast forward then to October
- 10:27Speaker 1: the twenty first, twenty twenty five. Jim Jordan has now
- 10:32Speaker 1: sent the referral letter the DOJ seeking criminal prosecution of
- 10:35Speaker 1: Brennan based on the alleged false testimony that I just
- 10:41Speaker 1: read for you. Now, let's go to exactly what is
- 10:46Speaker 1: being alleged, and I'm going to go in order there
- 10:49Speaker 1: so you understand that as well. False denial of the
- 10:53Speaker 1: CIA involvement with the Steele dossier is clearly point number
- 10:58Speaker 1: one in this referral laid out by the Chairman Jordan.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Brennan testified that the CIA again was not quote unquote
- 11:04Speaker 1: involved at all with the Steele dossier. They're now claiming
- 11:08Speaker 1: that that is, obviously, based on his testimony.
- 11:11Speaker 4: A lie.
- 11:12Speaker 1: The referral letter claims this is contradicted by the declassified
- 11:17Speaker 1: documents that actually show that the CIA officer drafted the
- 11:23Speaker 1: ICA annex summarizing the dossier, so that would mean the
- 11:27Speaker 1: CIA was involved and we have a summary of it
- 11:31Speaker 1: from the CIA. Brennan also, along with the then FBI
- 11:36Speaker 1: Director James Comey, made the decision to include information from
- 11:41Speaker 1: the dossier in that ICA report.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Brennan also overruled. We're being told senior.
- 11:47Speaker 1: CIA officers who objected to the inclusion of the dossier
- 11:52Speaker 1: material why because they knew it was user generated.
- 11:54Speaker 4: They knew it was a lie.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They knew it was paid for by the Hillary Clinton
- 11:57Speaker 1: campaign and the Democratic National Committee. They knew that Michael
- 12:00Speaker 1: Steele could not cooperate any of it for the million
- 12:03Speaker 1: dollars they offered him, because if it was real, he
- 12:05Speaker 1: would have taken the money. Brennan not only overalled the
- 12:09Speaker 1: senior CIA officers, but that's where the politics was clearly
- 12:13Speaker 1: coming in. The second part of this is the false
- 12:17Speaker 1: testimony about the CIA opposition to the Steele dossier's inclusion.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Brennan testified, right, I'm going to his words that the
- 12:29Speaker 1: CIA quote was very much opposed to having any reference
- 12:34Speaker 1: or inclusion of the dossier in the ICA. So again,
- 12:40Speaker 1: this is another example of false testimony about the CIA
- 12:43Speaker 1: opposition to the dossier's inclusion.
- 12:45Speaker 4: According to the referral.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Declassified CIA memos show the opposite of that claim. Brennan stated, quote,
- 12:55Speaker 1: My bottom line is that I believe that the information
- 12:58Speaker 1: warrants inclusion in the report and refuse to remove the
- 13:02Speaker 1: dossier despite major concerns from high level CIA individuals. Then
- 13:09Speaker 1: you also have what is referred to now as basically
- 13:12Speaker 1: zero point three the pattern of miss statements. The referral
- 13:18Speaker 1: argues that these false statements in twenty twenty three build
- 13:22Speaker 1: on longer standing misstatements, including the twenty seventeen hearing, and
- 13:28Speaker 1: thus support a referral for the criminal investigation. Now there's
- 13:32Speaker 1: also important caveats that you need to understand here. The
- 13:36Speaker 1: congression referral does not automatically mean an indictment.
- 13:40Speaker 4: It is now up.
- 13:41Speaker 1: To the Department of Justice if they are going to
- 13:43Speaker 1: consider prosecution. Many referrals, by the way, do not lead
- 13:48Speaker 1: to charges. So I want to put that out there
- 13:50Speaker 1: because I think we should just be fair. Now, there's
- 13:53Speaker 1: also legal experts that also say that it would be
- 13:56Speaker 1: a hard prosecution because in essence, well it's ease and
- 14:00Speaker 1: she said he's in charge.
- 14:01Speaker 4: It is what it is.
- 14:02Speaker 1: So you know, everybody should kind of calm down here
- 14:07Speaker 1: and just relax a little bit.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Now.
- 14:09Speaker 1: John Brennan, by the way, is also a guy that
- 14:13Speaker 1: has had a tendency, I think to mislead at best
- 14:17Speaker 1: lie to the American people. A great example of that
- 14:22Speaker 1: was the former CIA director John Brennan testifying about the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Hunter Biden laptop. You may have forgotten that story, but
- 14:30Speaker 1: that is also something here that needs to be talked about.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Now.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Before we get to that, let me also just say
- 14:35Speaker 1: one other thing. In the letter to the Attorney General
- 14:38Speaker 1: Pam Bondi on Tuesday went from Jim Jordan, the House
- 14:41Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee chairman, referring the former CIA director Brennan to
- 14:45Speaker 1: the Justice Department for allegedly making false statements to Congress.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Not only is Jordan directly accusing Brendan of laing in
- 14:51Speaker 1: his twenty twenty three Judiciary Committee testimony by denying that
- 14:55Speaker 1: the CIA used the dossier in prepping the twenty seventeen
- 14:59Speaker 1: Intelligence committ the assessment on the Russian election interference that
- 15:02Speaker 1: he knew was a lie, but also falsely claiming that
- 15:05Speaker 1: the CIA opposed including the dossier.
- 15:08Speaker 4: The two points I just went over there.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Now, the Steele dossier was a series of reports that
- 15:14Speaker 1: were quote, detailing President Trump's alleged ties to Russia. It
- 15:18Speaker 1: was compiled and delivered the FBI in sixteen by that
- 15:22Speaker 1: former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. In the letter, Jordan writes,
- 15:28Speaker 1: he said, I led subsequent investigations confirmed quote that the
- 15:31Speaker 1: Clinton campaign and the d NC paid Steele via the
- 15:35Speaker 1: law firm of Perkins Coy and opposition research firm Fusing
- 15:40Speaker 1: GPS to provide derogatory information about Trump's purported ties to Russia,
- 15:44Speaker 1: which resulted into the discredited dossier. So they're laying out
- 15:49Speaker 1: exactly what I'm now saying to you.
- 15:51Speaker 4: In July.
- 15:52Speaker 1: By the way of this summer, the Trump administration was
- 15:55Speaker 1: very smart because they declassified the documents, which appeared to
- 16:00Speaker 1: show that Brennan approved the decisions directly, which contradicts his
- 16:06Speaker 1: own words that to use is steal dossier. Despite the
- 16:10Speaker 1: objections of senior high ranking CIA officials. So again that's
- 16:14Speaker 1: where the lie comes out. You declassify this, everybody sees it.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Bam.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Now I put all this together, and let me just
- 16:23Speaker 1: go back to what I said a moment ago. This
- 16:26Speaker 1: is a guy that has had no problem lying. And
- 16:30Speaker 1: I also would say that there's others that have been
- 16:33Speaker 1: a part of this and have lied as well. And
- 16:37Speaker 1: you're starting to see the dots kind of connected here.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You have a Komy by the way, James Comy, former
- 16:43Speaker 1: REPI director, indicted for allegedly, you know, false statements, obstruction
- 16:46Speaker 1: of congressional proceedings.
- 16:48Speaker 4: So you have that.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You have Christopher Ray refer to the DOJ overclaims he
- 16:54Speaker 1: misled lawmakers on the Catholic memo and the China probes,
- 16:59Speaker 1: and and now you have.
- 17:00Speaker 4: The former CIA director.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Now all of these people, plus James Clapper and John
- 17:05Speaker 1: Brennan hitting at Trump's and attacking him, clearly hating.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Him and wanting to bring him down.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So there's a motive here, and then there's the evidence
- 17:15Speaker 1: behind their motive. They never thought they were going to
- 17:17Speaker 1: be held accountable for their actions. They never thought Donald
- 17:19Speaker 1: Trump was ever going to get elected again. In fact,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I think they actually thought their actions would put him
- 17:23Speaker 1: in jail and bankrupt him. You go back to Christopher
- 17:28Speaker 1: Ray for a second, and let's just remind you on
- 17:30Speaker 1: that one. A Washington based government transparency watchdog group has
- 17:35Speaker 1: referred the former FBI director Christopher Ray to the Department
- 17:39Speaker 1: of Justice and the FBI, urging a criminal investigation to
- 17:42Speaker 1: allegations and he made false statements of Congress and obstructed
- 17:45Speaker 1: proceedings in two high profile cases. The Oversight Project president
- 17:50Speaker 1: said that the group is specifically asking officials to examine
- 17:53Speaker 1: Ray's congressional testimony on the so called Richmond Memo from
- 17:58Speaker 1: the FBI office in virgin that exposed the anti Catholic
- 18:03Speaker 1: bias there, and his testimony about a Chinese plot to
- 18:08Speaker 1: disseminate illicit driver's license before the twenty twenty election. So,
- 18:13Speaker 1: in July twenty twenty three, Ray testified before the House
- 18:17Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee on the FBI Richmond Memo that had labeled
- 18:22Speaker 1: Catholics as potential domestic threats, in other words, domestic terrorists. Well,
- 18:28Speaker 1: what I can tell you is you're referring to the
- 18:30Speaker 1: Richmond product, which is a single product by a single
- 18:34Speaker 1: filled office, which as soon as I found out about it,
- 18:37Speaker 1: I was AGAs and ordered it with draw and remove
- 18:39Speaker 1: from FBI systems. That is what Ray said. Now, the
- 18:43Speaker 1: oversight project alleged to the statement was ultimately ultimately misleading
- 18:48Speaker 1: or false. Representative Tiffany, Republican from Wisconsin press Ray on
- 18:53Speaker 1: the Richmond memo and so called Trump questionnaire which was
- 18:57Speaker 1: circulated the FBI and asked about allegiances to the present
- 19:00Speaker 1: and whether agents had attended any protests or rallies associated
- 19:05Speaker 1: with the January sixth capital breach quote. We keep hearing
- 19:09Speaker 1: about these isolated examples, whether it's Richmond, Catholics, this questionnaire.
- 19:13Speaker 4: It's a pattern.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Congressman Tiffany asked, So, you've got a lot happening now.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Democrats are going to try to spend this.
- 19:23Speaker 1: And I want to be clear, as this is Donald
- 19:26Speaker 1: Trump going after his political enemies. I want to be
- 19:30Speaker 1: clear my thoughts on this. This isn't about going after
- 19:34Speaker 1: his political enemies. This is about holding those accountable who
- 19:39Speaker 1: were in the highest positions of power who weaponize the
- 19:42Speaker 1: United States government to try to take out their political enemy,
- 19:47Speaker 1: and that person was Donald Trump. And they also went
- 19:50Speaker 1: after their other political enemies like men and women whose
- 19:53Speaker 1: mothers and fathers who were described as domestic terrorists if
- 19:57Speaker 1: you went to a school board meeting. This is the
- 19:59Speaker 1: same government that tried to turn Catholics against their own
- 20:03Speaker 1: people into spy in their own churches, not mosque Catholics.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So again this goes back to the basic question when
- 20:13Speaker 1: you look at all of this now, is this actual
- 20:16Speaker 1: political persecution or is this about accountability? I think there's
- 20:21Speaker 1: no other way to look at it than it's straight
- 20:23Speaker 1: up accountability. It is very clear now that it was intentional,
- 20:29Speaker 1: It was targeted political spying that likely went to the
- 20:33Speaker 1: very highest levels in the Biden administration, and there should
- 20:38Speaker 1: be the broadest possible investigation and accountability for what Jack
- 20:43Speaker 1: Smith and the Democrats were doing. We have learned a
- 20:46Speaker 1: lot more now and there are more centers' names to
- 20:49Speaker 1: add to the list of those who were spied on
- 20:52Speaker 1: by Jack Smith. Ted Kruz's phone records, we've now learned
- 20:56Speaker 1: were subpoena as part of an investigation the Jack Smith
- 21:00Speaker 1: conducted or oversaw into the January sixth events and the
- 21:04Speaker 1: broader quote election interference matter. The subpoena in his case
- 21:09Speaker 1: specifically covered the period of January fourth through the seventh
- 21:14Speaker 1: of twenty twenty one, just before and around the time
- 21:18Speaker 1: of the January sixth disturbances. The Axios piece says that
- 21:23Speaker 1: Cruz is the ninth Republican US Senator whose phone records
- 21:27Speaker 1: were targeted or subpoenaed by the Justice Department under Smith's
- 21:32Speaker 1: leadership and direction. The subpoena apparently requested a broad set
- 21:37Speaker 1: of metadata inbound and outbound calls, text messages, direct connect
- 21:44Speaker 1: voicemail messages, plus names and even addresses. Some Republican centers,
- 21:51Speaker 1: for example Marshall Blackburn of Tennessee, have now sent letters
- 21:55Speaker 1: to the Attorney General and to the telecom carriers alleging
- 21:59Speaker 1: that this ounts to politicize surveillance of Congress by the
- 22:03Speaker 1: Department of Justice and the FBI, calling it spying on
- 22:07Speaker 1: duly elected members of Congress. One report from October to
- 22:11Speaker 1: eighth places the number of GOP lawmakers, senators plus at
- 22:16Speaker 1: least one representative whose metadata was actually obtained, and nine
- 22:22Speaker 1: eight centers and one House member in that initial batch,
- 22:26Speaker 1: which now is expanding. The reporting is based on subpoenas
- 22:30Speaker 1: and metadata requests. It is not clear, at least in
- 22:34Speaker 1: the public what the contents are what they did with
- 22:37Speaker 1: the communications, What was accessed or what was done by
- 22:41Speaker 1: the DOJ and the FBI with the metadata for Ted
- 22:45Speaker 1: Cruz specifically, this is what we do know. The reason
- 22:48Speaker 1: why he wasn't in the first batch is because he
- 22:52Speaker 1: was not with Verizon. Instead, his carrier was AT and T,
- 22:56Speaker 1: Which brings me to a special part of the show.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Senator Ted Cruz and I set down to talk about
- 23:02Speaker 1: this spying, exactly what happened and why we're now seeing
- 23:07Speaker 1: this expand to other members of Congress and there could
- 23:11Speaker 1: be more to come that were spied on by the
- 23:13Speaker 1: Democrats and Jack Smith. So take a listen to what
- 23:17Speaker 1: he had to say about finding out that he was
- 23:20Speaker 1: a target. All right, Senator, so let's start with the
- 23:23Speaker 1: big news. Where were you when you found out that
- 23:27Speaker 1: you were spied on as part of Jack Smith's investigation
- 23:30Speaker 1: into Donald Trump? This clearly is a fishing expedition. And
- 23:35Speaker 1: what were you told? Have you been briefed on this
- 23:37Speaker 1: or are you just getting to say Mentel we are
- 23:39Speaker 1: from reading it in the news.
- 23:41Speaker 7: So I found out about this last week, last Thursday.
- 23:44Speaker 7: I got the information. And let's back up a couple
- 23:46Speaker 7: of weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago, the news
- 23:49Speaker 7: broke that Jack Smith, the prosecutor of the Biden DOJ
- 23:53Speaker 7: that was going after January sixth, that was going after
- 23:56Speaker 7: President Trump, had subpoenaed eight and one Republican House member
- 24:01Speaker 7: and had gotten their cell phone records. And the eight
- 24:05Speaker 7: Senators who had been subpoena were Marsha Blackburn, Ron Johnson,
- 24:09Speaker 7: Bill Haggerty, Josh Holly, Cynthia Lummus, Lindsey Graham, Dan Sullivan,
- 24:14Speaker 7: and Tommy Tuberville. And then Mike Kelly, a Republican House
- 24:18Speaker 7: member from Pennsylvania, was also subpoenaed. All nine of them
- 24:22Speaker 7: had their cell phone records handed over to the Biden
- 24:24Speaker 7: Department of Justice. Now, I got to admit just over
- 24:28Speaker 7: a week ago, Sean Hannity was in town and I
- 24:31Speaker 7: had dinner with Sean and with several of the senators
- 24:36Speaker 7: on that list as well, and I was laughing with Sean.
- 24:40Speaker 7: I was saying, I'm actually kind of offended, Like how
- 24:43Speaker 7: did I get lift out of this list? Like what
- 24:45Speaker 7: did I have to do? I was literally standing on
- 24:50Speaker 7: the Senate floor on January sixth, objecting and leading the fight,
- 24:55Speaker 7: and I had brought together eleven senators to stand together
- 24:59Speaker 7: in fighting for an election commission to assess the evidence
- 25:03Speaker 7: of voter fraud, and including many of the senators who
- 25:07Speaker 7: were subpoena were in the group that I'd brought together.
- 25:10Speaker 7: So I was I was joking with Sean, but I
- 25:11Speaker 7: wasn't entirely joking. Well, it turns out the reason I
- 25:15Speaker 7: was not on the list is apparently all eight of
- 25:17Speaker 7: those senators their cell phones are with Verizon, and the
- 25:21Speaker 7: evidence had come out that Verizon had handed over their
- 25:23Speaker 7: their their cell phone information. Well, my cell phone is
- 25:27Speaker 7: with AT and T and I didn't know it at
- 25:30Speaker 7: the time, but I found out late last week that
- 25:33Speaker 7: Jack Smith sent a subpoena to AT and TU demanding
- 25:36Speaker 7: my cell phone records, and AT and T told him
- 25:39Speaker 7: to go jump in a lake. AT and T did
- 25:42Speaker 7: not give my cell phone records. I really look. AT
- 25:46Speaker 7: and T is based in Texas. I'm proud of them.
- 25:48Speaker 7: They did the right thing. I appreciate that, and and
- 25:53Speaker 7: they assessed it. They had a subpoena from Jack Smith.
- 25:56Speaker 7: By the way, the subpoena called for quote detailed records
- 26:02Speaker 7: for inbound and outbound calls, text messages, direct connect and
- 26:09Speaker 7: voicemail messages, among other things. So they were seeking that.
- 26:12Speaker 7: There was an also an order from Judge Boseburg, who
- 26:16Speaker 7: was you know this, this left wing judge has been
- 26:19Speaker 7: presiding against over much of the litigation against against Trump,
- 26:24Speaker 7: had an order from Judge Boseberg ordering AT and T
- 26:27Speaker 7: you cannot disclose to Cruise that we're seeking his cell
- 26:32Speaker 7: phone information for a year.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Isn't that amazing? By the way, and you're sitting unin
- 26:35Speaker 1: State Center, don't tell him. We don't want him to know.
- 26:38Speaker 7: Yes, and so AT and T examined it, and they
- 26:42Speaker 7: actually they came to the conclusion. Now, the way it works,
- 26:45Speaker 7: so the subpoena just comes and they get a cell
- 26:48Speaker 7: phone number. So so the Biden DOJ didn't identify who
- 26:53Speaker 7: they were seeking. And by the way, look the telecom
- 26:56Speaker 7: companies typically if they get a subpoena for phone records
- 27:00Speaker 7: on a number, they typically handed over because it's usually
- 27:04Speaker 7: a drug dealer or a criminal. You have a subpoena
- 27:05Speaker 7: that's issued from a grand jury, so so it it
- 27:09Speaker 7: they will routinely in a criminal proceeding hand over. Well,
- 27:14Speaker 7: it's so happened that that AT and T, even though
- 27:16Speaker 7: they just asked for the number, they looked and realized
- 27:18Speaker 7: whose number it was, and and and that they talked
- 27:22Speaker 7: with their legal team, and and and they said, listen,
- 27:25Speaker 7: what what Cruz is saying is it and any member
- 27:28Speaker 7: of Congress, what they're saying is protected by the Speech
- 27:31Speaker 7: and Debate Clause of the Constitution. The Constitution protects the
- 27:36Speaker 7: ability of of of Senators and House members to engage
- 27:39Speaker 7: in debate, to to do our jobs. Article one of
- 27:43Speaker 7: the Constitution vests all legislative power in the Congress. And
- 27:48Speaker 7: and in fact, we you know, on January sixth, it
- 27:51Speaker 7: was very literally speech and debate. As I said, I
- 27:53Speaker 7: was standing on the Senate floor giving a speech and
- 27:57Speaker 7: raising an objection. So it's literally the heart of what
- 28:00Speaker 7: one does as an elected member of Congress. And so
- 28:04Speaker 7: At and T concluded, listen there, we're not going to comply.
- 28:09Speaker 7: As I said, I'm grateful for At and T doing that,
- 28:12Speaker 7: But that now makes it nine senators that we know
- 28:15Speaker 7: of and one House.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So I'm guessing there might be other senators that were
- 28:18Speaker 1: also at At and T and they probably said no, we're
- 28:20Speaker 1: not going to do that either, right it would be
- 28:22Speaker 1: Verizon just caved instantly and said, sure, here's everybody you're
- 28:25Speaker 1: asking for. There could be easily I would say another four, five,
- 28:28Speaker 1: six others. Who knows how many outside the Senate right
- 28:32Speaker 1: that they could have asked for that they could have
- 28:33Speaker 1: said no to as well.
- 28:34Speaker 4: And I would assume there was a lot of people
- 28:36Speaker 4: on at and t well.
- 28:37Speaker 7: And look the Biden DOJ also after the Republican Attorney
- 28:43Speaker 7: General's Association. It went after Turning Point USA. This was
- 28:47Speaker 7: a massive fishing expedition and this was a political persecution. Understand.
- 28:54Speaker 7: Jack Smith was appointed Special Counsel to investigate and prosecute
- 28:57Speaker 7: January sixth, three days after Donald Trump announced his campaign
- 29:04Speaker 7: for reelection in twenty twenty four, literally three days later,
- 29:07Speaker 7: so it was twenty twenty two, so it was two
- 29:09Speaker 7: years after January sixth. They had not appointed anyone, and
- 29:12Speaker 7: yet suddenly when Trump announces his campaign, they rushed to
- 29:15Speaker 7: appoint Jack Smith to say, go after Donald Trump because
- 29:19Speaker 7: we want to stop the voters from voting for him. Sure,
- 29:23Speaker 7: but nine senators, that is twenty percent of the Republicans
- 29:27Speaker 7: in the United States Senate. And I got to say
- 29:29Speaker 7: for the executive branch to engage in wholesale spying on
- 29:37Speaker 7: their political opponents and spying with let's be clear none
- 29:41Speaker 7: of us engaged in criminal conduct. None of us can
- 29:44Speaker 7: engage in anything remotely criminal, arguably criminal. This was political persecution.
- 29:50Speaker 7: This was snooping. This is hoping. Someone said something.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you, what were they hoping to find? Right,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you go fishing and what what is this smoking gun?
- 30:01Speaker 1: In that scenario, they were just hey, we'll just go
- 30:03Speaker 1: after all these conservatives and maybe we get lucky.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Look.
- 30:08Speaker 7: I don't know what they were hoping to find, but
- 30:10Speaker 7: but but they were asking for the cell phone records
- 30:14Speaker 7: from from January fourth to January seventh, so all surrounding
- 30:17Speaker 7: January sixth. I assumed they were looking for some some
- 30:21Speaker 7: modicum of coordination, uh with with with those who engage
- 30:26Speaker 7: in active violence on that day. Part of their theory
- 30:30Speaker 7: was was the alternate electors that were being sent from
- 30:33Speaker 7: various states. So I assumed they were looking for some
- 30:36Speaker 7: modicum of coordination there. But this was a political prosecution
- 30:42Speaker 7: because they did not have evidence, and so they said, well,
- 30:45Speaker 7: let's let's go through their cell phone records and see
- 30:48Speaker 7: if we can find something. And by the way, who
- 30:50Speaker 7: knows if if somebody had sent something stupid text, had
- 30:54Speaker 7: a voicemail, had you know, I mean people when you
- 30:58Speaker 7: go through someone emails, when you go through someone's cell phones,
- 31:03Speaker 7: when prosecutors go looking for a crime, the nature of
- 31:09Speaker 7: a fishing expedition is, let's go look around. You know.
- 31:12Speaker 7: There's a book that was written decades ago. Uh that
- 31:15Speaker 7: that that that's called three Felonies a Day, And and
- 31:18Speaker 7: it talks about how the average American commits three felonies
- 31:21Speaker 7: a day, that that in our regulatory state, things are
- 31:24Speaker 7: so complicated, things are so mired in complexity that that
- 31:28Speaker 7: that you can violate you know, you you step on
- 31:31Speaker 7: a wetland in your backyard, and and and you know
- 31:35Speaker 7: there's an old line that a prosecutor can indict a
- 31:38Speaker 7: ham sandwich. Yeah, that that a prosecutor goes in front
- 31:41Speaker 7: of a grand jury. When a prosecutor goes in front
- 31:43Speaker 7: of a grand jury, you know, there's no defense attorney there.
- 31:46Speaker 7: It's just the prosecutor and members of the grand jury.
- 31:49Speaker 7: And so, I don't know what they were looking for.
- 31:51Speaker 7: I think they were looking for anything that could stick
- 31:54Speaker 7: because this was a political prosecution.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Let me ask you this, if and and so, Ben,
- 32:00Speaker 4: I just.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Want to say I'm really grateful they did not find
- 32:04Speaker 7: the pictures you sent to me of you in a
- 32:07Speaker 7: pink too too, because I just think that it's not
- 32:10Speaker 7: criminal all.
- 32:11Speaker 1: The league jokes that I send you about the Ivy
- 32:13Speaker 1: League snobs. I mean, Jack Smith probably ended up going
- 32:16Speaker 1: to one of those places. That could have been very
- 32:18Speaker 1: bad for me.
- 32:19Speaker 7: I I it, you know it, it would have been uh.
- 32:23Speaker 7: And and I got to say, just the typos and
- 32:26Speaker 7: misspellings that that that you have in your text, that
- 32:29Speaker 7: that alone would have.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Been been a little bit embarrassing too.
- 32:32Speaker 7: So I'm glad none of that.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Good news is they're very hard to decipher when you're
- 32:36Speaker 1: if there, if it's in front of you know, Congress,
- 32:38Speaker 1: like it's what was been really trying to say.
- 32:40Speaker 4: And I'm like, you're welcome.
- 32:41Speaker 7: I will tell you about I talked to AT and
- 32:44Speaker 7: T today and I said, look, you guys got to
- 32:46Speaker 7: start a marketing campaign and shift to a T and T.
- 32:49Speaker 7: We'll we'll protect your stuff, like yeas to them. Look,
- 32:54Speaker 7: I I don't have a good answer to that. But
- 32:57Speaker 7: but but but I did.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Uh.
- 32:59Speaker 7: And I didn't know about this until just a few
- 33:01Speaker 7: days ago. So this was when the first news broke.
- 33:04Speaker 7: Like I was joking that I felt excluded, but it
- 33:07Speaker 7: wasn't entirely a joke. And then I was like, oh, okay,
- 33:09Speaker 7: that makes sense, and.
- 33:12Speaker 1: And here we are all right here, I don't question
- 33:14Speaker 1: on this. What is gonna be the response from Congress?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Will there be any to this or is this just
- 33:22Speaker 1: old administration abuse of power?
- 33:24Speaker 4: It is what it is.
- 33:25Speaker 1: We're going to move on, or is there going to
- 33:27Speaker 1: be a way to make sure like we have standards
- 33:29Speaker 1: of this is not allowed to happen and that people
- 33:31Speaker 1: are held accountable for this.
- 33:33Speaker 7: Look, I think we're going to see hearings. I think
- 33:35Speaker 7: we've we've got hearings coming in the House. I think
- 33:38Speaker 7: we'll see hearings in the Senate. I will tell you
- 33:41Speaker 7: the nine of us who were targeted, we're talking to
- 33:43Speaker 7: each other because we want to prevent this. We want
- 33:46Speaker 7: to prevent a subsequent DOJ from doing this, from spying
- 33:50Speaker 7: on their political opponents, particularly in Congress. The executive doesn't
- 33:55Speaker 7: have the ability to go engage in spying on members
- 33:59Speaker 7: of the posing party in Congress. That is an abuse
- 34:02Speaker 7: of power. It is it is politicization.
- 34:07Speaker 6: Uh.
- 34:07Speaker 7: And and this that this entire effort, so so, this
- 34:13Speaker 7: prosecution was called Arctic Frost, and I think this is
- 34:16Speaker 7: going to be the Watergate of the Biden d o J.
- 34:19Speaker 7: I think it is a demonstration that Jack Smith was
- 34:24Speaker 7: a partisan prosecutor who was drunk on power and and
- 34:27Speaker 7: and and I don't believe Jack Smith made this decision
- 34:31Speaker 7: on his own. I think the decision making goes all
- 34:33Speaker 7: the way up. I think it goes up to the
- 34:35Speaker 7: Attorney General, and I think it goes up to the
- 34:36Speaker 7: White House. And and so I expect number one, some
- 34:40Speaker 7: some real investigation and hopefully transparency in terms of who
- 34:43Speaker 7: approved let's go spy on members of Congress and and
- 34:47Speaker 7: and and and that that I think we're gonna work
- 34:50Speaker 7: to have some real transparency on and that. I think
- 34:52Speaker 7: we're gonna look at real and concrete steps we can
- 34:55Speaker 7: take to make sure this never happens again, because this
- 34:58Speaker 7: kind of is.
- 34:58Speaker 1: They're part of you that just thinks like maybe this
- 35:01Speaker 1: has just been going on and never really stopped. After
- 35:04Speaker 1: you know, the the famous FBI director that had you know,
- 35:08Speaker 1: files on everybody, and people said well, we won't have
- 35:12Speaker 1: that again after Jagger, and now it's like they're just
- 35:16Speaker 1: like they wild West. You can do what the hell
- 35:18Speaker 1: you want to if you're a Democrat, and you're in charge.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Like we can spawn in the present, we can spy
- 35:22Speaker 1: in the campaigns. We can go after people in this
- 35:24Speaker 1: situation room and the trap them. We can try to
- 35:27Speaker 1: go after their business associates and their kids and get
- 35:29Speaker 1: them to turn against them, like Eric Trump was talking
- 35:31Speaker 1: about that on our show the day. If you missed
- 35:33Speaker 1: that show, people should go back and listen to He's
- 35:35Speaker 1: like they were literally trying to turn Donald Trump's own
- 35:38Speaker 1: children against him, threatening that your life's gonna be over
- 35:41Speaker 1: and you're gonna be in jail, so you better get
- 35:42Speaker 1: a get out of jail free card. And now it's
- 35:44Speaker 1: like yeah, and we were also spaying on senators. I'm
- 35:47Speaker 1: assuming some congressmen will come out like who knows who's there?
- 35:50Speaker 1: We I mean, Charlie Kirk said recently before assassination. It
- 35:56Speaker 1: came out that he said during the campaign, we either
- 35:58Speaker 1: win the campaign or I may go to jail.
- 36:00Speaker 4: I actually believe.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Now witnessing what we've sayen that that's not far off
- 36:05Speaker 1: from reality at all.
- 36:07Speaker 7: Look, the left was willing to weaponize the Department of
- 36:11Speaker 7: Justice in the FBI.
- 36:12Speaker 6: As you know.
- 36:13Speaker 7: I wrote an entire book entitled Justice Corrupted. How the
- 36:16Speaker 7: left is weaponized our legal system, and it talked about
- 36:19Speaker 7: it actually started with Richard Nixon. Richard Nixon tried to
- 36:22Speaker 7: do that. And and you look at some of the
- 36:24Speaker 7: some of the hair brain schemes that the Nixon Justice
- 36:27Speaker 7: Department came up with, including creating underground stings to to
- 36:33Speaker 7: get people, uh, to get people on film taking drugs
- 36:37Speaker 7: and with prostitutes to use to essentially blackmail them and
- 36:41Speaker 7: to go after their political opponents. I mean, it was
- 36:43Speaker 7: grotesque abuse of power. And and and when when that
- 36:47Speaker 7: came to light, we actually saw an improvement. And there
- 36:49Speaker 7: were a couple of decades where I think this this
- 36:52Speaker 7: receded and occurred far less. And then what Richard Nixon
- 36:58Speaker 7: tried to do to the justices, to Barack Obama succeeded
- 37:01Speaker 7: in doing. He came in as this this almost messiah figure,
- 37:06Speaker 7: and and and and do o j. Eric Holders Attorney General.
- 37:10Speaker 7: You had Lois Learner at the I R S. They
- 37:13Speaker 7: began targeting their political opponents, targeting targeting anyone that they
- 37:17Speaker 7: disagreed with, and also protecting their friends. During the Trump
- 37:21Speaker 7: administration the first term, they went underground, but they waged
- 37:25Speaker 7: war on the president. These are the people that created
- 37:27Speaker 7: fraudulent documents submitted to the FISA Court in order to
- 37:31Speaker 7: in order to try to go after President Trump. They
- 37:34Speaker 7: wanted to reverse the results of the twenty sixteen election
- 37:38Speaker 7: because they were furious that the American people elected Trump.
- 37:41Speaker 7: And then during Biden, they were open, they were flagrant,
- 37:44Speaker 7: they were out in the open, and they were they
- 37:45Speaker 7: were abusing their power. And I think they felt that
- 37:48Speaker 7: the ends justified the means, and and and anything was
- 37:54Speaker 7: acceptable and and and so I think we need to
- 37:56Speaker 7: take real steps. Do I think this has been going
- 37:58Speaker 7: on forever and ever? I own I certainly hope not.
- 38:01Speaker 7: I'm not aware that it has. Uh, there is there,
- 38:05Speaker 7: there's ancient history, but it took really, I think, under
- 38:08Speaker 7: Biden to to make it just as as viciously partisan
- 38:13Speaker 7: as as became.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, don't forget Share this podcast please with your
- 38:18Speaker 1: family and your friends wherever they are, and I will
- 38:22Speaker 1: see you back here tomorrow
