- 0:15Speaker 1: like the Milian buck bus things and its cubles. Me
- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it, Steve hay to the move to other steam. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join by join me in doing me. Honey.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turn hur you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you got to turn them out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come, come on your back. Uh huh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody. You' all listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show. Man got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a radio show and a whole lot mold too, man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God is good to me. I have no other explanation,
- 2:18Speaker 1: if I have no other explanation of my existence and
- 2:23Speaker 1: where I stand in this thing called life, except if
- 2:26Speaker 1: it was not for the goodness of God Almighty. If
- 2:29Speaker 1: it was not for His grace and his mercy, There's
- 2:33Speaker 1: no way I could exist the way that I do.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I would not be who I am or where I am.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I am who I am and where I am simply
- 2:43Speaker 1: because God is who he is. If it was not
- 2:48Speaker 1: for God, I would have no testimony for you, because
- 2:52Speaker 1: I would have failed every single test plain, pure and simple.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I con sit here to day until you flat out
- 3:03Speaker 1: that it is purely because of God's grace and mercy
- 3:08Speaker 1: that I exist today because of His favor. See now
- 3:11Speaker 1: He shows us favor in life because of a combination
- 3:16Speaker 1: of things I've discovered. And this is not the whole
- 3:20Speaker 1: answer to life. I can assure you as not. But
- 3:23Speaker 1: this is a combination that I've grown to understand better
- 3:27Speaker 1: and better, and I wish I had gotten it earlier
- 3:30Speaker 1: in my life. But here it is. If you take
- 3:35Speaker 1: faith and you combine it with an incredible work ethic,
- 3:45Speaker 1: then God has the greatest opportunities to show you favor.
- 3:54Speaker 1: That's the best way I can explain success to you
- 3:57Speaker 1: from my standpoint. It is to come nation of faith
- 4:01Speaker 1: and work that produces the most opportunities for God to
- 4:07Speaker 1: show you favor. See a lot of times we want
- 4:10Speaker 1: God to bless us, but we ain't doing nothing for
- 4:12Speaker 1: him to bless. So now we sideways in the equation
- 4:16Speaker 1: a little bit. But see if you had the faith
- 4:20Speaker 1: in God that God can do anything but fail, that
- 4:24Speaker 1: God will get you through, that God will see you through,
- 4:28Speaker 1: that that God is the God you serve as the
- 4:30Speaker 1: greatest gift of all good things. If you kept that
- 4:33Speaker 1: faith intact through it all, and you produced an incredible
- 4:39Speaker 1: work ethic that allows the most opportunities for God to
- 4:44Speaker 1: show you favor. See without that what you want God
- 4:49Speaker 1: to do? See, you can have faith and be sitting
- 4:53Speaker 1: at the house watching TV. There's nothing being produced, no
- 4:58Speaker 1: opportunities for God to show your favor. And you got
- 5:02Speaker 1: to do some things man, that you are uncomfortable doing
- 5:06Speaker 1: or don't feel like doing, or something that don't have
- 5:10Speaker 1: the right payoff right in front of your face, with
- 5:13Speaker 1: the faith that it will payoff later on. See, too
- 5:16Speaker 1: many people are working for the right now reward, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: the right now reward is not how it works. Sometimes
- 5:23Speaker 1: the reward is coming later on up the road. But
- 5:26Speaker 1: the only way you can know that is if you
- 5:29Speaker 1: got to You got to apply the faith and see
- 5:32Speaker 1: the reason you don't know that that's coming like that,
- 5:36Speaker 1: or you have to have faith to believe that it
- 5:38Speaker 1: is coming. Because faith is the belief in things that
- 5:43Speaker 1: you cannot see. That's what faith is. You know you're
- 5:47Speaker 1: standing at let me give you them. You're standing at
- 5:49Speaker 1: the cross walk with a walk sign on it, and
- 5:52Speaker 1: the sign flashing on the corner. Don't walk then that
- 5:57Speaker 1: the signs say walk. What do you think your chances
- 6:02Speaker 1: are making it across that street? Is well pretty good
- 6:05Speaker 1: because guess what the signs say walk. You can see
- 6:09Speaker 1: the other side. There's other people in the cross walk walking,
- 6:12Speaker 1: So guess what. You strike out blindly. It don't take
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot of faith to get across that street. That's
- 6:19Speaker 1: that's That's not why I'm talking to you about. I'm
- 6:22Speaker 1: talking about the faith, the belief in things that you
- 6:25Speaker 1: cannot see, the faith that what I'm doing today, I
- 6:31Speaker 1: believe in my heart of heart that God wouldn't bring
- 6:35Speaker 1: me this far to leave me. That God is a
- 6:37Speaker 1: true and living God, that he keeps his promises, that
- 6:40Speaker 1: later on, there's things that I'm working towards right now
- 6:43Speaker 1: gonna pay off later on. See, too many people want
- 6:45Speaker 1: the reward right now. See, that's not the exhibition of faith.
- 6:51Speaker 1: If it's the right thing to do, if it's if
- 6:54Speaker 1: it's a good thing to do, if it's a just
- 6:57Speaker 1: thing to do. See if it's seeing in it, it
- 7:00Speaker 1: ain't God. You can just clear it on up right there.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You can stop all the wandering. If that's his voice
- 7:06Speaker 1: talking to you, if it's the right thing to do,
- 7:09Speaker 1: if it's sin in it, it's not God talking to you,
- 7:14Speaker 1: kill it you you can shut it down. You ain't
- 7:17Speaker 1: got to wonder about it. Go down there in secret venge.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That ain't God. Go tell him off when you see him.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That ain't God. Anything that's God's sin in it, is
- 7:25Speaker 1: not God's voice telling you to do it, So you
- 7:28Speaker 1: can you can kill that conversation to date. That's how
- 7:31Speaker 1: you know. But if you align yourself up man and
- 7:34Speaker 1: you and what you're doing is just and right and
- 7:36Speaker 1: correct and pleasing in the sight of God, it'll pay
- 7:41Speaker 1: off for you later on. And see here's here's here's
- 7:45Speaker 1: the best way I can tell to it. Here's another one.
- 7:49Speaker 1: When you're going somewhere, when you're when you're on the
- 7:53Speaker 1: road to going somewhere, and you know the somewhere that
- 7:56Speaker 1: you're trying to get to. Let's say you've set a
- 7:59Speaker 1: goal of vision for yourself, you know where you want
- 8:01Speaker 1: to get to, You got a good idea, and you
- 8:04Speaker 1: own your way to going there. Listen to me when
- 8:08Speaker 1: it gets hard, and it is going to get hard,
- 8:11Speaker 1: When it gets difficult and it is going to get
- 8:14Speaker 1: difficult when it becomes challenging, and it is going to
- 8:18Speaker 1: become challenging when it becomes all three of those things.
- 8:22Speaker 1: When it don't look like it's gonna happen, don't stop
- 8:26Speaker 1: and complain so much. But see, I know he didn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: bless me. But in the middle of it, man, I
- 8:32Speaker 1: felt a little heavy. And you got to be careful
- 8:35Speaker 1: when it gets hard for you, because you'll find yourself complaining.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And when you're complaining. See, what you can't do is
- 8:42Speaker 1: you can't complain so much that you forget that the
- 8:46Speaker 1: place that you're trying to go to you actually own
- 8:50Speaker 1: your way there still. See, don't get caught up into
- 8:53Speaker 1: complaining and then lose sight of your blessing that's actually happening.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It to you, what really, man? And of all the
- 9:01Speaker 1: times to register a complaint to God, to sit up
- 9:04Speaker 1: and go, hey, man, I didn't want to wanted to
- 9:07Speaker 1: ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man, you in.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's it's a tornado world around you. You You ain't got
- 9:13Speaker 1: time to ease back in. You got it going and
- 9:15Speaker 1: jump back in it. It is what it is to
- 9:18Speaker 1: whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate the blessings.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Don't get so caught up into complaints that you lose
- 9:25Speaker 1: sight of the blessings. Man, God got a lot for
- 9:27Speaker 1: you in your life, man, but you gotta have them
- 9:29Speaker 1: two things, y'all. You gotta take that faith and you
- 9:33Speaker 1: got to apply a crazy work ethic to it. And
- 9:37Speaker 1: that creates the most opportunities for God to show your favor.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And when God starts showing your favor, Man, all of
- 9:44Speaker 1: them seeds you planted, all of that, all of that
- 9:47Speaker 1: wheat you've been sewing, all of that hard work you've
- 9:50Speaker 1: been put in God to pay it off, and He'll
- 9:53Speaker 1: pay it off in ways that you don't even see coming. Okay, cool,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. May I have y'all divided attention? Please?
- 10:05Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show left my home
- 10:09Speaker 1: home in Georgia. Come on, boy headed father, Frisco Bay. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: are you supposed to finish that? Come on now? You
- 10:19Speaker 1: can't just stop scream like nothing gonna come. Well. Sitting
- 10:28Speaker 1: on the dock of the bay watching the time rollueway.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Oh Lord, sitting on the dock of the bay, wasting time.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Love it? Okay, that's all I want to shore. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: knew the whistle was coming. I knew he couldn't avoid
- 10:54Speaker 1: that part. I mean, he paused, Brad, it's some kids
- 11:06Speaker 1: right now. I don't know what that is right there?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Do you know that he is junior Andy Griffy show. Okay,
- 11:12Speaker 1: oh come boy. If you didn't know that, I was

- 11:46Speaker 1: good morning, good morning, good morning? Yes, yeah, yeah, are
- 11:51Speaker 1: you feel tick? One of a kind love of fam red.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It's a kind of blood that you read about in
- 12:00Speaker 1: Fairy Taking. That was a jam man that was in
- 12:07Speaker 1: my platelo you know what Freedom Friday? Boy? That used
- 12:13Speaker 1: to let me tell you something, Freedom Friday, In case
- 12:16Speaker 1: you all don't know, it was on Fridays. I used
- 12:21Speaker 1: to just sit in the booth sometimes we call Freedom Friday.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Loosen the booth, Steve, and that by yourself, I would
- 12:29Speaker 1: give the crew off and on Fridays, I would just
- 12:34Speaker 1: sit in the booth and play whatever I wanted to
- 12:38Speaker 1: play and say whatever I wanted to say. And it
- 12:41Speaker 1: was called freedom Fridays, or battles we had battle or
- 12:46Speaker 1: the crew would battle. We would play a song and
- 12:48Speaker 1: then the other would try to top it. Sometimes would
- 12:51Speaker 1: be the ladies against the guys. And I don't now,
- 12:57Speaker 1: she said, really, and you Tommy over. Yeah, Tommy and
- 13:05Speaker 1: Shirley would go toe to toe, and then when it
- 13:07Speaker 1: got to y'all, it being but we just started losing
- 13:12Speaker 1: because Shirley knows some good songs. Now, yes she does.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Oh so Shirley was throwing out from him, but I was.
- 13:17Speaker 1: It was hard me to get Shirley a lot of time,
- 13:20Speaker 1: but every time one damn song colliwa all right, but Tommy,
- 13:30Speaker 1: all right, look, Steve, your favorite segment is here today.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Of course it's asked Steve. When we come back, get
- 13:37Speaker 1: your questions ready, crew, thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:40Speaker 1: it's asked Steve. And it's right after this. You're listening,
- 13:46Speaker 1: all right, before we get to ask Steve or asked
- 13:49Speaker 1: Steve segment, guys got to get cut into my time listen,
- 13:53Speaker 1: Steve is such it was. This is such a major story,
- 13:56Speaker 1: not much of a surprise because we all knew what
- 13:59Speaker 1: was going to happen. But in trending political news, surprise,
- 14:02Speaker 1: yesterday President Trump was acquitted abusive power and yes he
- 14:07Speaker 1: is still an awesome I don't even want to talk
- 14:09Speaker 1: about how does he acquitted though? And there was no
- 14:11Speaker 1: trial witnesses. You know what politics in this country is
- 14:17Speaker 1: so jank It's so jank, man, it is so janky man.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I watched some people just do what they wanted to
- 14:25Speaker 1: do and they said they weren't gonna have no witnesses.
- 14:29Speaker 1: They said they don't want to review no paperwork. They
- 14:31Speaker 1: heard all they needed to do. And it got to
- 14:34Speaker 1: the Senate, they didn't have no trial, and they said
- 14:36Speaker 1: they was gonna acquit him, and they did it. Man,
- 14:39Speaker 1: let's go. But yeah, but mid Romney, no mine, Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 1: became the first one to vote to remove a president
- 14:50Speaker 1: of his own party. He voted for removal on the
- 14:53Speaker 1: abusive power charge. Wow, okay, yeah, well we're gonna move on.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We'll talk about it more in the show. But time
- 15:04Speaker 1: now for asked Steve ready, and see we're going to
- 15:08Speaker 1: ask you of course, as we do every day to
- 15:10Speaker 1: keep just go ahead. When when was the last time,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I mean the very last time you had like a huge,
- 15:22Speaker 1: big old barely laugh I mean crying laughing. Well, that
- 15:28Speaker 1: means you have to have more of those. Yeah, I'm
- 15:32Speaker 1: just trying to think of what I could say. Oh,
- 15:36Speaker 1: what's arible? Yeah, because what I was laughing at really
- 15:42Speaker 1: really wasn't both to be funny, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:46Speaker 1: But I was in that letting it go. All right,
- 15:50Speaker 1: we'll come back to that one. Yeah, let's come back
- 15:52Speaker 1: to that one, because all right, come on, Junior, you
- 15:55Speaker 1: got one. All right, uncle, if you was running for president, okay,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I wish and you run him? Gives Donald Trump? What
- 16:02Speaker 1: platform would you you running against him? Running against Donald Trump?
- 16:07Speaker 1: I just solely rely on my debate skills, Okay, yeah, solely.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I think he debating Donald Trump would be one of
- 16:18Speaker 1: the most entertaining if we could damn to put that
- 16:21Speaker 1: on Netflix. Yeah, it ain't the platform. I just counter
- 16:26Speaker 1: everything he said because I know when he lying, yeah, yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 1: yeah every time, and I'm just saying stuff like you
- 16:36Speaker 1: just a damn lie every time. I be damn lilt.
- 16:48Speaker 1: What did you live for about that. All right, I
- 16:54Speaker 1: got a question for you, seeing Yeah, have you ever
- 16:58Speaker 1: had to scream I'm sorry? Help? Have you ever had
- 17:04Speaker 1: to scream help? And if so? Why? Oh? Hell? Yeah?
- 17:08Speaker 1: I had screamed help? What happened? I was in college
- 17:13Speaker 1: and I was dating this woman that was thirty and
- 17:17Speaker 1: I was eighteen? And how was holly for help? Quite
- 17:21Speaker 1: often that that's that good hollo talk about hell hell?
- 17:30Speaker 1: I love? Yeah, I have I ever had come on?
- 17:50Speaker 1: But her response was shut your little punk ass up? Mama,
- 17:55Speaker 1: put it on you, Yes, ma'am, Mama. She was thirty,
- 18:00Speaker 1: but the whole was he eighteen. That's mama, all right.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I got one for you. What is looking back in hindsight?
- 18:11Speaker 1: What is the most ignorant outfit that you ever put on?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Looking back at it now? Damn? Every concert I went
- 18:22Speaker 1: to I was themed dressing back in the day at
- 18:28Speaker 1: concert feather in your hey when when the fire came
- 18:33Speaker 1: out with them TPS boy and something and and and
- 18:39Speaker 1: my dude had told me what they had Warren Dayton.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So when they're when the fire came to Cleveland, are
- 18:46Speaker 1: waiting on them? I had a buckskin vest. Yes, I
- 18:52Speaker 1: had a feather with a string around my head, tied
- 18:56Speaker 1: in my afro out dog. You couldn't talk me. I
- 19:01Speaker 1: was there winning fire, no shirt, just a vest skin
- 19:05Speaker 1: is head. I was five. Yeah. Didn't you use that
- 19:12Speaker 1: to get down front? Oh? Yeah I did. I did
- 19:15Speaker 1: that at the at the LTD concert. Remember when that
- 19:18Speaker 1: when they had an album or a love ballad, the
- 19:20Speaker 1: Wings of Love. I had a cap made. My sister
- 19:24Speaker 1: made me a cake and I want a cap And
- 19:27Speaker 1: I was sitting where up in the raptors because I
- 19:29Speaker 1: didn't have the money to take no girl. And I
- 19:31Speaker 1: just wait until the show got started, and I'll be
- 19:34Speaker 1: looking down front, and if I see a gap, I
- 19:37Speaker 1: just come down the aisle doing the steps and I
- 19:40Speaker 1: get right next to the aisle with the seats in it,
- 19:42Speaker 1: and it just started easing on it. And come on
- 19:44Speaker 1: their little brother, because you know everybody's real peaceful back then,
- 19:46Speaker 1: come on a little brother. I see you look at
- 19:48Speaker 1: your man. Well we got the lt D up in here.
- 19:51Speaker 1: He y'all. Did you ever go to a Funkadelic concert?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Because the only thing I didn't know, I didn't because
- 20:03Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna wear to dip. They were much Yeah, yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna do that. People were diapers to the concert, No,
- 20:11Speaker 1: not many. One dude did have some bro gains on
- 20:14Speaker 1: the dip in the cowboy head, big glasses with stars on.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Ye stop too, yea to change his diaper. No dog dog.
- 20:26Speaker 1: They was real tired of him. Yeah, all right, Steve,
- 20:34Speaker 1: what's the best way a lot boy? All right? Coming
- 20:42Speaker 1: up next, it is the nephew would run that prank back.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Shut you down right now? Wow, sure we did. We'll
- 20:50Speaker 1: be back right after this. You're listening show, all right?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Coming up, miss Anne with our national news and entertainment news.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Gail King is receiving backlash for her interview with Lisa Leslie.
- 21:03Speaker 1: The nephew right now is here to run that frank back.
- 21:07Speaker 1: What you got for his nef? Your baby going back
- 21:09Speaker 1: to pre kke? What ye know what I said? Your
- 21:12Speaker 1: baby going back to pre kke. Your baby cuting all
- 21:14Speaker 1: that side of the lines and stuff. Your baby going
- 21:16Speaker 1: back prekke. I've talked to this lady. Your baby going
- 21:20Speaker 1: back to pre kate. We can't. We ain't no way
- 21:23Speaker 1: we can get this baby to kindergarten, the first grade.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Your baby I go back frek Come on, okay, let's go. However, Yes,
- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm time to reach missus Thomas. Please. My name is
- 21:35Speaker 1: mister Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over at elementary school.
- 21:40Speaker 1: You're I'm looking at my records indicating that your son,
- 21:42Speaker 1: Thomas is going to be starting his first grade? Is ready, right? Listen,
- 21:48Speaker 1: miss Thomas, Um, I've been going through actually all of
- 21:51Speaker 1: the children's records that will be starting school, and I'm
- 21:55Speaker 1: looking at your son's grades from his kindergarten and he
- 22:00Speaker 1: did good. Well, No, not exactly. I mean there's been
- 22:04Speaker 1: a few uh. I actually spoke with the teacher who
- 22:07Speaker 1: he was under in kindergarten, and it seems like he
- 22:10Speaker 1: just really wasn't up to par as the rest of
- 22:13Speaker 1: the children. Now his conduct, now, he talked, but he
- 22:17Speaker 1: gets his work. So what else is she saying on
- 22:20Speaker 1: that that ain't right? Well, what's what it seems to be, ma'am,
- 22:23Speaker 1: is that his grades weren't up to par as the
- 22:26Speaker 1: rest of the other children. She did tell me he
- 22:27Speaker 1: was a disobedient child. No, he disobedient and talking two
- 22:31Speaker 1: different things. Come on, okay, well, man, listen, what we've
- 22:34Speaker 1: decided here is we're gonna let a little actually do
- 22:39Speaker 1: another year of kindergarten. O. No, y'all ain't gonna let
- 22:41Speaker 1: him do another year of kindergarten. No, sir man, that's
- 22:44Speaker 1: that's the only choice I have. No. We got our
- 22:48Speaker 1: letter in the mail with our report card the week
- 22:52Speaker 1: after school started, and it said on the back promoted.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And if I got to get about this couch and
- 22:58Speaker 1: go get it, I'm gonna be because I'm telling you
- 23:01Speaker 1: right now we will be in the first grade. Kindergarten.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Won that hard. I'm not sure what they told you
- 23:07Speaker 1: about him, but it must be the wrong. Well, I
- 23:10Speaker 1: understanding he's he doesn't color as well as arrested kids.
- 23:13Speaker 1: He's all out of he's out of the lines when color.
- 23:16Speaker 1: He doesn't know his numbers completely. And that's kind of
- 23:19Speaker 1: what we need when you first come into into the
- 23:22Speaker 1: first grade. When I can show you on this paper
- 23:24Speaker 1: he did satisfactory all the way through. Now you about
- 23:27Speaker 1: to me off and I'm already sick calling me with
- 23:30Speaker 1: some about my son blank and kender garden. He ain't
- 23:34Speaker 1: that kind of people, does not color? Well, man, Listen,
- 23:37Speaker 1: color ain't gonna do with that, dad, guard kindergarten. He
- 23:40Speaker 1: is going to the first grade and I'll be down
- 23:42Speaker 1: there on August twenty four. No, I will not be
- 23:45Speaker 1: able to allow you to get in the school on
- 23:47Speaker 1: August when you, mister, I'm sorry, and let me get
- 23:50Speaker 1: Let's tell you what. Let me go in and and get
- 23:52Speaker 1: my pencil pen because I don't live that far from
- 23:54Speaker 1: this school. And if y'all aren't read it down there
- 23:56Speaker 1: causing some comfort, I need to get up and go
- 23:58Speaker 1: down there, because I'm not telling my baby when he
- 23:59Speaker 1: come on the day that he ain't going to the
- 24:01Speaker 1: day come first. Man. I hate to say it, but
- 24:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to refuse education from him on a
- 24:07Speaker 1: You know what, I just went back and put him
- 24:08Speaker 1: in public school. I know that was a stake in
- 24:11Speaker 1: the first place. Food which I'm talking about some coloring.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Give me your name again, sir Stapleton man, And what's
- 24:16Speaker 1: that number down there? The number here is actually area
- 24:19Speaker 1: code women. I got the number them mind. I pulled
- 24:23Speaker 1: up this report card. I got the number in your
- 24:24Speaker 1: name on the back of this paper. I'll tell you
- 24:26Speaker 1: what I was. Two hundred fourth will be coming in
- 24:28Speaker 1: there going to school, and I might make a trip
- 24:31Speaker 1: around that this evening when I come from the document.
- 24:33Speaker 1: The bottom line, ma'am is, I'm not going to hear that.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Colin ain't got nothing to do with nothing else. But
- 24:39Speaker 1: it's not only color, he's a rhythm of tickets back. No,
- 24:43Speaker 1: are you working with him at home? Are you doing
- 24:45Speaker 1: anything at home day? What you're trying to say, I'm
- 24:48Speaker 1: an incompetent parent. I'm just asking, as a parent, are
- 24:50Speaker 1: you working with your child? Working with my child every day?
- 24:53Speaker 1: He can read better than you. Probably, No, he can't read.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I can't read better than you because honestly, you read
- 24:59Speaker 1: that wrong on that page. But that he's supposed to
- 25:00Speaker 1: be going back to kindergarten when I know the paper
- 25:03Speaker 1: saying from it going to the first grade. And I'm
- 25:06Speaker 1: not listening to no more this about him going backwards. Now,
- 25:09Speaker 1: if you got a problem with your paper word, maybe
- 25:12Speaker 1: you need to go talk to your secretary of somebody
- 25:15Speaker 1: in there that wrote my baby name down, your son's name,
- 25:19Speaker 1: Thomas Man, No, it ain't him, baby, I know it
- 25:21Speaker 1: ain't him. You're not gonna sit up and tell me
- 25:23Speaker 1: my son is flocking kindergarden. He is not going back
- 25:26Speaker 1: to that kindergarten. Don't bring your son downhill, August, I
- 25:30Speaker 1: tell you once be ready to up me and my husband,
- 25:33Speaker 1: but we will be down there auser for backpack, shoes,
- 25:36Speaker 1: uniform everything you hear me, I will not be able
- 25:39Speaker 1: to him and education and that right now. I will
- 25:42Speaker 1: come down there right now and make that correction on
- 25:44Speaker 1: that paper for you can bring this baby is not
- 25:46Speaker 1: going back to no kindergarten for no coloring. Can you
- 25:50Speaker 1: bring him down him and let him color for me?
- 25:51Speaker 1: I can't you tell my color in the rithmon taking
- 25:53Speaker 1: out yourselves? No? Um, no, I'm sorry, um. We will
- 25:57Speaker 1: be down there August to twenty four. I would have
- 26:00Speaker 1: poor card in my head that says you have been
- 26:03Speaker 1: promoted to the first broy that he gonna have a
- 26:05Speaker 1: mile on his face, and so are you. I got
- 26:07Speaker 1: one more thing I need to tell you. Are you
- 26:09Speaker 1: listening to me? I'm listening. You ain't saying nothing. Yeah,
- 26:12Speaker 1: you better say something that sounds like the first grade,
- 26:14Speaker 1: because I'm not playing. I would go down to this dad.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I'm administrative office, and I had fine because my son
- 26:20Speaker 1: would be in that first grade. Are you raising your voice?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Who are you raising your voice? You talk a crasid
- 26:25Speaker 1: to me. I'm crested him. What I'm a grown woman.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I don't need to be explained to you why I'm
- 26:30Speaker 1: trying to Did you graduate? Honey? I am a college
- 26:35Speaker 1: degree person. I have a great job. My husband and
- 26:38Speaker 1: I do well for ourselves and for our children. And
- 26:40Speaker 1: that's why we're not. You're not You're not even at
- 26:42Speaker 1: work right now, man, that I'm sat phone. I told
- 26:45Speaker 1: you that when you call him writing on the doctor
- 26:47Speaker 1: to call me now a partner missing my phone? Call?
- 26:49Speaker 1: Can you color? Because your son can't color? Question? Does that? Can't?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Ask me? Can I color? Why are you white and black?
- 26:57Speaker 1: You ask me so I dressed me? I'm my color. No,
- 26:59Speaker 1: I ask you can you color like some racist lines?
- 27:03Speaker 1: And that? Can you color? Nom my coloring? And me?
- 27:07Speaker 1: My color ain't got nothing to do with none of this.
- 27:09Speaker 1: It's just a rat thing. No, I'm trying to make
- 27:12Speaker 1: sure you send him back. No, I'm not trying to
- 27:14Speaker 1: send him back. I want to send him back to
- 27:16Speaker 1: color to get his coloring together. You what that ain't
- 27:19Speaker 1: got nothing to do with nothing? And if you're the
- 27:20Speaker 1: head person down there now, you aren't competent and you
- 27:23Speaker 1: aren't in a literate call me and tell me that
- 27:27Speaker 1: my son has to go back to the first grad
- 27:29Speaker 1: I got one more. You don't want mixed up. I'll
- 27:31Speaker 1: tell you what I'm through with this guy. Comes through
- 27:32Speaker 1: with this guy. I'm gonna say one more thing and
- 27:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna be out here. Are you listening, I'm listening.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That's his nephew, Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 27:39Speaker 1: You just got prank by your girlfriend Felicia. I'm gonna
- 27:44Speaker 1: be Felicia's. I am gonna beat her. You're about to
- 27:50Speaker 1: get told out the plan. I mean, I'm write nomas
- 27:54Speaker 1: in everything thing and I'm gonna everything. I'm gonna beat
- 27:57Speaker 1: her because you know I don't play when it comes
- 27:59Speaker 1: to back. All right, but one more question? Now, what
- 28:03Speaker 1: is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show
- 28:06Speaker 1: in the land. You gotta be in the color, y'all.
- 28:13Speaker 1: You understand I'm saying inside the line? Okay, what kind
- 28:16Speaker 1: of school you running where a person can't advanced because
- 28:19Speaker 1: they can't color? You start off by coloring, that's what
- 28:23Speaker 1: he don't want to be a color raw, But then
- 28:25Speaker 1: he gonna have to stay in pre kate. I'll tell
- 28:28Speaker 1: you what if my baby don't go to kindergarten, come on.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You ain't going to tomorrow? How about that, mister, Keep
- 28:40Speaker 1: stupid coming, baby, I'm coming to you my support team Montgomery, Alabama,
- 28:44Speaker 1: the mont Government Performing Art Civic Center. Tickets on sale
- 28:47Speaker 1: right now, So get your tickets all ticket Master outlets
- 28:51Speaker 1: or at the box office and come see the nephew
- 28:53Speaker 1: down in the gump. Make sure I go to the
- 28:56Speaker 1: museum down there while I'm there too. I ain't been
- 28:58Speaker 1: there to that one yet, the one where they have
- 29:00Speaker 1: the lynchings and things. Yeah, I got all right. Coming
- 29:04Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, thanking Few Entertainment
- 29:07Speaker 1: and National News right after this. You're listening to show Boy.
- 29:14Speaker 1: This trending story is all over social media. Gail King.
- 29:20Speaker 1: If you haven't heard Gail King, of course from CBS
- 29:22Speaker 1: this morning, who was so famous for her R Kelly
- 29:27Speaker 1: interview with R Kelly a few months back. Anyway, she
- 29:32Speaker 1: just interviewed Lisa Leslie, w NBA legend Lisa Leslie about
- 29:39Speaker 1: her very good friend, her very close friend, Kobe Bryant,
- 29:42Speaker 1: and she was asking about his legacy and things like that,
- 29:47Speaker 1: and about you know, old charges against him. Anyway, take
- 29:51Speaker 1: a listen. It's been said that his legacy is complicated
- 29:55Speaker 1: because of a sexual assault charge, which was dismissed in
- 29:58Speaker 1: two thousand and three two thousand and four. Is it
- 30:00Speaker 1: complicated for you as a woman, as a w NBA player.
- 30:05Speaker 1: It's not complicated for me at all, even if there's
- 30:08Speaker 1: a few times that we've been at that club. At
- 30:10Speaker 1: the same time, Kobe's not the kind of guy, never
- 30:12Speaker 1: been like you know at Leasa, go get that girl
- 30:15Speaker 1: or tell her or send her this. I have other
- 30:17Speaker 1: NBA friends that are like that. He was never like that.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I just never see, have ever seen him being the
- 30:24Speaker 1: kind of person that would be do something to violate
- 30:28Speaker 1: a woman or be aggressive in that way. That's just
- 30:30Speaker 1: not the person that I know. But at Lisa you
- 30:32Speaker 1: wouldn't see it. Though as this friend, you wouldn't see it,
- 30:36Speaker 1: and that's possible. I just it's just I just don't
- 30:40Speaker 1: I just don't believe that. And I'm not saying things
- 30:42Speaker 1: didn't happen. I just don't believe that things didn't happen
- 30:47Speaker 1: with force. Is it even a fair question to talk
- 30:50Speaker 1: about it, considering he's no longer with this and that
- 30:53Speaker 1: it was resolved, or is it really part of his history?
- 30:57Speaker 1: I think that the media should be more are respectful
- 31:01Speaker 1: at this time. It's like, if you had questions about it,
- 31:05Speaker 1: you've had many years to ask him that. I don't
- 31:08Speaker 1: think it's something that we should keep hanging over his legacy.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I mean, he went to it went to trial. Yeah,
- 31:13Speaker 1: it was the case. It was dismissed because the victim
- 31:16Speaker 1: in the case refused to testify. So it was dismissed.
- 31:19Speaker 1: And I think that that's how we should leave it. Wow,
- 31:24Speaker 1: I can't believe that was brought up. Yeah, you know,
- 31:26Speaker 1: I think that's a case of poor timing. But yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and poor judgment, and these charges against this man were
- 31:39Speaker 1: dropped and it has nothing to do with his legacy.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I just think that's just not the way to go
- 31:48Speaker 1: about it. It was not necessary. Yeah, why not to
- 31:52Speaker 1: Lisa Leslie too for handling it, you know, at such
- 31:55Speaker 1: a time as this. She even said the media should
- 31:58Speaker 1: be more respectful at this time. A lot of clapback
- 32:01Speaker 1: for Gail. People did not like. Yeah, backlash, that's what
- 32:05Speaker 1: I mean. And then she said during then I understand
- 32:08Speaker 1: why people are upset seeing that clip out of context.
- 32:12Speaker 1: This is Gail King talking now. She said, I hope
- 32:14Speaker 1: they will now watch the entire wide ranging interview. We
- 32:18Speaker 1: asked a longtime friend of Kobe Bryant's to talk to
- 32:21Speaker 1: us about his legacy and their friendship, and Lisa Leslie
- 32:25Speaker 1: did exactly that. It's still no matter where you placed
- 32:29Speaker 1: at question, it's poor timing. I think it's poor taste.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I think it's I think it has nothing to do
- 32:38Speaker 1: with who he was as a person or his legacy. Said.
- 32:44Speaker 1: If you had questions about it, you've had many years
- 32:46Speaker 1: to ask him that. There you go, when a person
- 32:51Speaker 1: has passed and then you hear people come out years
- 32:55Speaker 1: later slamming this person. I'm all ways a little curious
- 33:01Speaker 1: of the motive. You know, when the person was alive,
- 33:06Speaker 1: you had plenty of time to say the things, and
- 33:09Speaker 1: you don't have to prove anything, and there is no
- 33:12Speaker 1: evidence or witnesses that can come forward. I get real
- 33:15Speaker 1: curious when people do that. I just do all right, Steve,
- 33:19Speaker 1: We're gonna move on now. Time for today's headlines, please,
- 33:23Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Trip, Thanks Steve. Morning, everybody.
- 33:27Speaker 1: This is answered. Put the news Okay, looks like it's
- 33:30Speaker 1: VFA victory for President Trump after a three week impeachment trial,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it was all over yesterday, Chief Justice Roberts made the pronouncement.
- 33:38Speaker 1: It is therefore ordered and a judge that the said
- 33:41Speaker 1: Donald John Trump be and he is hereby acquitted of
- 33:45Speaker 1: the charges and said articles. Of course, Democrat chall Schumer
- 33:49Speaker 1: sees the case one way, and Republican Mitchconnell says another thing.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Let future generations know that only a fraction of the
- 33:56Speaker 1: Senate swallow these fantasies. The rest of us condemn them
- 34:01Speaker 1: to the ash heap of histories. We will reject this
- 34:04Speaker 1: incoherent case that comes nowhere near, nowhere near justifying the
- 34:12Speaker 1: first presidential removal in history. Well, everything went as predicted.
- 34:16Speaker 1: The Republican dominated US Senate did refuse to convict the
- 34:20Speaker 1: Republican president, and everybody fell in line, all except Utah
- 34:24Speaker 1: Senator Mitch Romney, who said he had no choice but
- 34:26Speaker 1: to vote to convict. I am profoundly religious. My faith
- 34:32Speaker 1: is at the heart of who I am. I'm sure
- 34:34Speaker 1: to hear abuse from the President and his supporters. Does
- 34:37Speaker 1: anyone seriously believe that I would consent to these consequences
- 34:42Speaker 1: other than from an inescapable conviction that my oath before
- 34:46Speaker 1: God demanded it of me. In so doing, Romney made history,
- 34:50Speaker 1: by the way, becoming the first Senator ever to vote
- 34:53Speaker 1: to convict a president of his own party. And like
- 34:56Speaker 1: he said, he is expected to take a lot of
- 34:58Speaker 1: hits and everything from fellow publicans, and he is. Some
- 35:01Speaker 1: of them saying, oh, he should be thrown out of
- 35:02Speaker 1: the party. Others say, no, that's his opinion, leave him alone. Meanwhile,
- 35:06Speaker 1: the president's approval rating is soaring to the highest it's
- 35:10Speaker 1: ever been for him, forty nine percent. That's about twenty
- 35:13Speaker 1: points lower than President Clinton's approval rating was after he
- 35:17Speaker 1: was acquitted. But for Trump, forty nine percent is pretty good.
- 35:20Speaker 1: It's the best he's ever done. And Trump says he
- 35:22Speaker 1: will speak to the American people about all of this
- 35:25Speaker 1: at about noon today. He says he'll comment on what
- 35:28Speaker 1: he calls the impeachment hoax. Health officials say that the
- 35:32Speaker 1: state of Kentucky has the highest rate of cancer diagnosis
- 35:35Speaker 1: and cancer death in this country. That's according to the
- 35:37Speaker 1: Centers for Disease Control. Kentucky has cancer diagnosis and rates
- 35:41Speaker 1: of death significantly higher than the nation's overall cancer rate.
- 35:44Speaker 1: And finally, sad news, Hollywood superstar Kirk Douglas has died
- 35:48Speaker 1: at age one hundred three Douglas played a lot of
- 35:51Speaker 1: tough guys. With my favorite Kirk Douglas picture, it might
- 35:53Speaker 1: also be yours Spartacus, Spartacus, Spartacus, I'm Spartacus. I love Spartacus.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Missed me some Kirk Douglas. Now back to the Steve
- 36:10Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show well. As predicted,
- 36:16Speaker 1: President Trump was acquitted of abuse of power. All Democratic
- 36:20Speaker 1: senators voted, and one Republican senter by the name of
- 36:24Speaker 1: Mitt Romney, voted against the president. The Senate's votes on
- 36:29Speaker 1: the two charges, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress,
- 36:32Speaker 1: were split down party lines. However, Republican Mitt Romney of
- 36:37Speaker 1: Utah became the first Senator to vote to remove a
- 36:39Speaker 1: president of his own party. He voted for removal on
- 36:43Speaker 1: abuse of power on that charge. The acquittal acquittal was
- 36:47Speaker 1: largely a formality, as a two thirds vote is needed
- 36:50Speaker 1: for removal. The Republicans hold of fifty three forty seven
- 36:54Speaker 1: advantage and the Senate. Trump was impeached for allegedly withholding
- 36:58Speaker 1: military aid to Ukraine in an effort to spur an
- 37:01Speaker 1: investigation into Joe Biden's son Hunter, the President will make
- 37:06Speaker 1: make a speech today at twelve noon, right after the
- 37:10Speaker 1: acquittal came out, he tweeted, uh, President Trump forever. Yeah yeah,
- 37:15Speaker 1: he's gonna be in office forever forever. Yeah, No, you're
- 37:18Speaker 1: not well at the rate he's going. I mean, if
- 37:21Speaker 1: if he would live to be as old as Kirk Douglas,
- 37:25Speaker 1: if the laws were changed, he could because uh, they
- 37:29Speaker 1: stick together, the Republicans, they stick together. Even if you're wrong,
- 37:34Speaker 1: they stick They stick by you. That's what they've proven.
- 37:38Speaker 1: He will be president forever. No, not well, Mitt Romney,
- 37:43Speaker 1: he he shut that down with that whole partisan thing.
- 37:47Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying that this was just for
- 37:50Speaker 1: the Republicans at least he was the one Republican that said, now, yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: y'all know that that he was wrong, and y'all know
- 37:57Speaker 1: what he did was wrong. So anything to add to that.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I know you're thinking something. American politics is a real travesty.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I think what this man has done, Donald Trump, the
- 38:10Speaker 1: way he has ran run this administration, the threats, the
- 38:15Speaker 1: disobeying court orders, subpoenas, telling people in his cabinet executive
- 38:22Speaker 1: privilege you can't testify. I think he's changed the way
- 38:27Speaker 1: politics will be done in this country from now, because
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't you dare think for a minute that there's not
- 38:34Speaker 1: another person with some money watching what he has done
- 38:37Speaker 1: and going, wow, I'm gonna do the same thing. You
- 38:41Speaker 1: can be president and damn near be king. And he
- 38:45Speaker 1: has turned the presidency into a king and it's crazy.
- 38:50Speaker 1: And then they have this old archaic system called the
- 38:53Speaker 1: electoral College vote which protects them and gives them all
- 38:56Speaker 1: a chance. I'm just it's embarrassing what this government has become.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And I don't think it'll ever go back to the
- 39:04Speaker 1: way it was because he's changed. He's made these people
- 39:09Speaker 1: think that they can get away with anything. All right, Steve,
- 39:12Speaker 1: hold that thought. We have time to do some more
- 39:16Speaker 1: on this whole thing, coming up at thirty four after
- 39:18Speaker 1: the hour, right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Well,
- 39:25Speaker 1: yesterday the president was acquitted of abusive power. He was
- 39:28Speaker 1: impeached by the House but not the Senate, and he
- 39:31Speaker 1: is still in office. Uh, he'll make a speech today
- 39:36Speaker 1: as a matter of fact, today at noon, right, because
- 39:40Speaker 1: he feels he feels like yeah, sure, right, you know
- 39:46Speaker 1: this will kick off for sure now officially his campaign
- 39:51Speaker 1: you know, for twenty twenty to win the election, again, Listen,
- 39:54Speaker 1: that's kind of what a State of a Union address
- 39:56Speaker 1: was a campaign speech. Well, I mean, I'm telling you, man,
- 39:59Speaker 1: and the Democrats are in such disarray. First of all,
- 40:05Speaker 1: the big Iowa Caucus faux Paul that was horrible. That
- 40:10Speaker 1: didn't look good. Biden took fourth place, which was a
- 40:15Speaker 1: horrible as he called it, punching the gut budaicep Who
- 40:22Speaker 1: is he? Well, he used to bend Ain't nobody fin what? Yeah?
- 40:30Speaker 1: But Donald Trump Hall swallowed this? Dude, are you kidding me?
- 40:35Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders is so far left he's a little scary.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren's plan, I don't understand it, and I'm just
- 40:44Speaker 1: being very very honest, And I just think that the
- 40:48Speaker 1: Democratic Party has allowed this man and the unity of
- 40:54Speaker 1: the Republican Party to get themselves in a position to
- 40:57Speaker 1: reelect this guy and the Democrats we have no one
- 41:02Speaker 1: to blame but ourselves because we all of this in fighting.
- 41:06Speaker 1: We won't support a real viable candidate. Look, man, who
- 41:13Speaker 1: is that? I think it's Bloomberg? Y'all. My best shot
- 41:19Speaker 1: is Bloomberg, and he's not in it until we get
- 41:22Speaker 1: to super twos. Right, you're right, now, you're right. About
- 41:25Speaker 1: that and he's not in it Trump and I don't
- 41:29Speaker 1: who do we Who do we have that can beat Trump?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Right now? Because the Democratic Party is being so liberal. See,
- 41:40Speaker 1: listen to me. The Republicans got their man, even if
- 41:45Speaker 1: he's the wrong one, and stick and because that gives
- 41:53Speaker 1: them four more years of being in power. And that's
- 41:57Speaker 1: all they care about. They don't care about the American people.
- 42:00Speaker 1: They don't care about nothing else. Well, yeah, President Trump's
- 42:03Speaker 1: approval ratings have gone up Tuesday. Who from who? Well,
- 42:10Speaker 1: that's what a gallop pole has. Who is And when
- 42:12Speaker 1: they say approve of rating? How many people do they
- 42:14Speaker 1: talk to? Y'all? They ask me, who is they talking to?
- 42:18Speaker 1: Eight people? Now? Who is these people? They ain't went
- 42:22Speaker 1: to the hood and ask no question. And you know,
- 42:27Speaker 1: it's just sad right now watching these Democrats sit there
- 42:32Speaker 1: and shake their head. But I'm gonna tell you something.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi told them not to go for impeachment, but
- 42:39Speaker 1: they kept pressing for impeachment. Impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment. Nancy
- 42:45Speaker 1: Pelosi told them no, she knew they didn't have the goods.
- 42:50Speaker 1: She knew that they needed something so profound before they
- 42:56Speaker 1: took it forward, but the Caucus pressured her and her
- 43:00Speaker 1: to finally they narrowed it down to the two things
- 43:03Speaker 1: that Michael, obstruction of justice and abusive power, and those
- 43:10Speaker 1: are the two best things. And the Republicans shot down
- 43:13Speaker 1: both of them though they even said what he did
- 43:21Speaker 1: was wrong, but it wasn't impeachable. Man, what they're gonna
- 43:27Speaker 1: go together? And you know, man, I just I really, man,
- 43:33Speaker 1: the way they did this is sickening, man, watching those
- 43:37Speaker 1: people function the way they functioned and set up there
- 43:41Speaker 1: and lie repeatedly, then band together in the lie and
- 43:47Speaker 1: then sell that to the public. And he got nerd
- 43:50Speaker 1: had people's but they okay with the lie, which is
- 43:53Speaker 1: the sickness of our country because and especially if he
- 43:56Speaker 1: gets reelected, then that impeachment of really watching the man
- 44:00Speaker 1: we got as a hoax. Yeah, we got five years. Well,
- 44:04Speaker 1: his speech today will be interesting, that's for sure. I'm
- 44:07Speaker 1: not watch well. Coming up next to the nephew in
- 44:10Speaker 1: the building with Frank phone call. Oh, right after this,
- 44:15Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 44:19Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after it's
- 44:22Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today, subject anywhere except the bedroom.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Right now, nephew Tommy is here with today's praying phone call.

- 45:04Speaker 1: I work on the fourth floor. Are you in the
- 45:06Speaker 1: cubicle next to Randy? Yeah, a matter of fact, I am.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But but who am I? Who am I speaking with? Well,
- 45:11Speaker 1: I'm not at liberty to give my name right now,
- 45:13Speaker 1: but I'm bringing some news from the job that I
- 45:16Speaker 1: think you might want to uh, you know, this is
- 45:19Speaker 1: some news I think that you would probably want to know.
- 45:21Speaker 1: And I'm just let's just say, I'm I'm an employee
- 45:24Speaker 1: from another floor and I got I got wind of
- 45:26Speaker 1: what was going on on the fourth floor, and I
- 45:29Speaker 1: wanted to, you know, I wanted to I wanted to
- 45:32Speaker 1: bring it to your attention because I think on your
- 45:34Speaker 1: floor nobody's bringing this to your attention, you know. Okay,
- 45:37Speaker 1: So let me get this straight. You can't tell me
- 45:41Speaker 1: your name, but you work on the floor below me.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Do you know me? I've seen you before, I've seen
- 45:48Speaker 1: you before. Okay, no, no, no, no no, do you
- 45:52Speaker 1: know me? I mean I don't know you know? So no,
- 45:55Speaker 1: let me let me Okay, So how did you How
- 45:58Speaker 1: did you get to so called being the spokesperson for
- 46:03Speaker 1: people who work with me? Hey? Man, like I say,
- 46:07Speaker 1: I just wanted to give you the news because the
- 46:09Speaker 1: whole fourth floor is gossip been about you, and nobody's
- 46:12Speaker 1: telling you what's going on. Okay, So obviously the gossip
- 46:16Speaker 1: reading about me has gotten to you on the third floor,
- 46:20Speaker 1: and now you are coming to be my deliverer, so
- 46:24Speaker 1: to speak. I'm just a guy. I'm just a guy
- 46:27Speaker 1: bringing you some news. Man, I'm just heading. Let me
- 46:29Speaker 1: let me ask you this, bro. Are you Are you
- 46:31Speaker 1: flossing at night? And what business is that of yours?
- 46:37Speaker 1: But I'm just I'm just asking are you flossing that name?
- 46:40Speaker 1: Do you floss on a regular basis? Yeah? I floss
- 46:43Speaker 1: on a regular basis. What's that got to do with
- 46:45Speaker 1: the price of t and challenge. Okay, when's the last
- 46:48Speaker 1: time you've been to the dentist? Man, who the hell
- 46:51Speaker 1: are you? Let me tell you to be honest, what
- 46:53Speaker 1: you make My problem is not really what you I'm
- 46:55Speaker 1: really upset with the people on the floor that's not
- 46:58Speaker 1: telling you. But you know why ain't you talking to them?
- 47:01Speaker 1: But the problem is, man, is that is that they're
- 47:04Speaker 1: talking about you and they're not telling you what your
- 47:07Speaker 1: issue is. So let's get to the issue at hand.
- 47:09Speaker 1: So you are Flowsten. You are Flawsten, that's what you're saying.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Damn straight out floss. Okay, are you brushing your tongue?
- 47:17Speaker 1: Come on now, you don't have to You don't have
- 47:20Speaker 1: to question me about my hygienic makeup. You don't know me,
- 47:26Speaker 1: you have never talked to me. But you're gonna side
- 47:29Speaker 1: with a bunch of folks. Did think I'm not I'm
- 47:32Speaker 1: not siding with him, brother, I'm not siding with him,
- 47:34Speaker 1: but he behalf. You're siding with them. Okay, ke Man, Kevin, Kevin,
- 47:41Speaker 1: listen to this. This is really you don't even know

- 48:04Speaker 1: hell are you talking about? Well, okay, something is wrong, okay,
- 48:09Speaker 1: And everybody's saying that it's you. It's your breath, that's
- 48:12Speaker 1: that's just you know, they're saying they live in the
- 48:14Speaker 1: fourth floor to go down to the lobby just to
- 48:16Speaker 1: get some fresh air. Because well, this is what I
- 48:20Speaker 1: want you to do, since you speaking on their behalf,
- 48:23Speaker 1: tell every one of them, sorry soul and souls, that
- 48:26Speaker 1: if they got a problem with me, they need to
- 48:28Speaker 1: come approach me, and then if it's that bad, I'll
- 48:33Speaker 1: blow my stink as breath in their face, bringing off
- 48:36Speaker 1: because this conversation with you is really way off face
- 48:40Speaker 1: because you have no business calling me telling me because
- 48:44Speaker 1: they say, can I give you some some some items
- 48:49Speaker 1: to mix together for you to gargle with later tonight?
- 48:53Speaker 1: So you work, you work in the building, but now
- 48:55Speaker 1: you're dentist man, you know what this is bull And
- 48:59Speaker 1: we gonna settle this tomorrow. First thing in the morning,

- 49:18Speaker 1: of them lying back because when they get in there,
- 49:20Speaker 1: as far as I'm concerned, when tomorrow get here, it's
- 49:23Speaker 1: gonna be a whooping and if you walk some of
- 49:25Speaker 1: it show up. Sent you the representative, but you can

- 49:36Speaker 1: This is what it's gonna be. And whoever else you
- 49:39Speaker 1: want to try to take it out, they gonna get
- 49:41Speaker 1: it in there. So guess what it's on tomorrow. I
- 49:45Speaker 1: know I ain't got ginger. Are you only brushing in

- 53:47Speaker 1: It is strawberry letter. Thank you, neph you subject anywhere
- 53:51Speaker 1: except the bedroom. Dear Stephen Shirley, I truly need your
- 53:55Speaker 1: advice on this one. I'm twenty eight years old, and
- 53:59Speaker 1: so is my girl friend. We have been together six
- 54:02Speaker 1: months and I really like her, But lately I think
- 54:05Speaker 1: she's lost her darned mind. She has a crazy new
- 54:08Speaker 1: habit that's very embarrassing and illegal. I don't want to
- 54:12Speaker 1: lose her, so I've been going along with it. She
- 54:16Speaker 1: likes to have sex a lot, and that's fine with me,
- 54:19Speaker 1: but she has become obsessed with having sex in public places. Yes,
- 54:24Speaker 1: but it started a month ago. See the difference there.
- 54:28Speaker 1: It started a month ago when we went to see
- 54:30Speaker 1: a movie. We sat in the back so we could
- 54:33Speaker 1: talk without disturbing anyone. She started kissing me on my
- 54:36Speaker 1: neck and ear, and she knew I was getting excited.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Before I knew it, she had jumped on my lap
- 54:43Speaker 1: and we had sex in the movie theater. I tried
- 54:46Speaker 1: to enjoy it, but I was so scared of getting
- 54:48Speaker 1: caught I couldn't get into it like I wanted to. Now,
- 54:52Speaker 1: whenever we're out, she wants to do it somewhere random.
- 54:56Speaker 1: We've done it in the car and the Grosery store
- 54:58Speaker 1: parking lot. We did it in the bathroom at my
- 55:00Speaker 1: friend's house party, we did it in the driveway at
- 55:03Speaker 1: her parents' house, and we did it on the rooftop
- 55:07Speaker 1: of my apartment building. I know there are cameras everywhere,
- 55:10Speaker 1: and I don't want to go to jail for a
- 55:12Speaker 1: lewd act in public. The quality of our sex is
- 55:16Speaker 1: not the same when we're at home, and she is
- 55:19Speaker 1: not as aggressive. She said that regular sex at home
- 55:22Speaker 1: is boring, and she refuses to do it in the bedroom.
- 55:25Speaker 1: I have tried to have sex with her in the
- 55:27Speaker 1: living room or in the kitchen, and she will suggest
- 55:30Speaker 1: that we go on the patio or out to the
- 55:32Speaker 1: car instead. I can't keep my best performance in public
- 55:36Speaker 1: because the stress of getting caught takes over. I need
- 55:40Speaker 1: her to get used to having regular, safe sex again.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Am I being a weirdo for not enjoying this? Please help? Well?
- 55:47Speaker 1: I mean no, I don't think you're being a weirdo
- 55:51Speaker 1: or anything for not enjoying it. I mean, you've stated,
- 55:54Speaker 1: you know, your concerns and everything. I do think your
- 55:56Speaker 1: girlfriend is a bit much. Some guys would absolutely love it.
- 56:02Speaker 1: And maybe that's the problem here. She's what you call
- 56:06Speaker 1: really really freaky. How is it that at just twenty eight,
- 56:10Speaker 1: regular sex in the bedroom or in the house somewhere
- 56:14Speaker 1: it is a problem for her or it's boring to her.
- 56:18Speaker 1: You have every right to be concerned about your reputation,
- 56:21Speaker 1: about your future, and what could happen if things go wrong,
- 56:24Speaker 1: if you guys get caught. Some people, you know, that's
- 56:28Speaker 1: the excitement, the getting caught part. What if we get caught?
- 56:31Speaker 1: You know, we all know in life, one bad decision
- 56:36Speaker 1: can follow you for the rest of your life. Whether
- 56:39Speaker 1: it's hidden cameras or cell phone cameras, this type of
- 56:42Speaker 1: behavior can cause a lifetime of embarrassment. It really can. So,
- 56:47Speaker 1: I mean, I got to ask you. I know you
- 56:49Speaker 1: said that you know she refuses to do it in
- 56:51Speaker 1: the bedroom. Have you really set her down and talked
- 56:53Speaker 1: to her about this, about how it stresses you out
- 56:57Speaker 1: and how you can't perform because of it. I mean
- 56:59Speaker 1: a lot of guys would love to be in your shoes. Uh,
- 57:03Speaker 1: you just gotta decide is she worth these risks, and
- 57:06Speaker 1: it doesn't sound like she is. You said you don't
- 57:09Speaker 1: want to go to jail and for doing a lewd
- 57:11Speaker 1: act in public, So I mean, hey, you you got
- 57:16Speaker 1: to talk to her about this. Really, you guys have
- 57:19Speaker 1: to stop this. This is crazy. Steve. Yeah, what's with
- 57:29Speaker 1: the side where Shelly ain't got no idea how much
- 57:33Speaker 1: it is you're gonna let me do so you're a caller,
- 57:37Speaker 1: go want to get ready to tell me you're going
- 57:39Speaker 1: to I think I'll just say it now. Yeah, what
- 57:45Speaker 1: we're doing right here? Twenty eight? Girl is twenty eight
- 57:51Speaker 1: and together for six months. You like them, but you
- 57:55Speaker 1: think she lost some mind? Of course you got to
- 57:59Speaker 1: do have it at that she want to have sex
- 58:05Speaker 1: in public place started about a month ago, sitting watching
- 58:12Speaker 1: this movie from back Road so we could talk. Nook
- 58:15Speaker 1: here where she wants sitting on the back rover and talk.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Start kissing on your neck. You got excited. Before I
- 58:23Speaker 1: knew it, she had jumped on my lap. We had
- 58:26Speaker 1: sex in the movie. Then I tried to enjoy it.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I don't know how you did it, but I tried
- 58:33Speaker 1: to enjoy it. But I was so scared of getting caught.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I understand. I couldn't get into it like I wanted too.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I understand, but you're young boy. You got to get
- 58:51Speaker 1: it in while you can and wherever you came qualify.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Our sex is not the same when we at home.
- 59:00Speaker 1: She's not as aggressive. She says that reckless sex at
- 59:04Speaker 1: home is born. She don't want to do it in
- 59:07Speaker 1: the bedroom. You don't try having sex with the liberal.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I guess you thought that was exciting. Well you don't
- 59:14Speaker 1: want to do it in barrel it's going liberal? Well
- 59:18Speaker 1: how about it did? How about only lives? Now? She
- 59:25Speaker 1: want to go out to the Patty on the car.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I can't give my best performance in public. Well, me,
- 59:33Speaker 1: Tommy and Junior here to let you know that most
- 59:37Speaker 1: of our best performances have been in public. Yoursel, So
- 59:41Speaker 1: you have said this to the wrong people. So when
- 59:45Speaker 1: I come back, I'm gonna tell you the way to
- 59:49Speaker 1: cure this problem. But you're gonna have to listen to
- 59:52Speaker 1: me because it's gonna it's gonna take some real doing.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Stay with me, young man. You about to learn yourself.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: All right? All that thought, Steve, We'll have part two
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters, subject anywhere except the bedroom.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters, subject anywhere except
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: the bedroom. Well, it's twenty eight year old couple. This
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: dude and said that this woman came up with this
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: crazy new habit. She got half sex in public, adn't
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: done it at the movie theater. She can't do it
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: at home no more because she said it's in bassing,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: that it's not exciting to her at home, and so
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: she won't go out all out on Patti or go
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: get in the car. Well, young man, young man don't
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: know what to do because he liked her, but he
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: can't perform his best in public. That's hard. I've had
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: some a lot better performances in public, and that's everywhere.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: So here's my suggestion to you. You are dating an exhibitionists. Yeah,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: a woman who is a thrill seeker, and the extra
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: thought of being in public and getting caught is erotic
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: to her and turns her own. So the only way
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to break a person from embarrassing you in public, you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: gotta embarrass her in public. What you got to do
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: is overdo it. You got to do huh. Come on,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: we're gonna do it when we're in line at the break.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Now all listen here, all the lights
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: out there down here to damn movie. We're all on
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: the paddy hiding the car at the bank. They're not
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: doing it. We're making a deposit. Tell you what, shut up?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: We at your aunt's wake Friday? Perfect does everybody leaves
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: right over that behind that casket. Come on me and
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you girl, let's go for your grandmama's house and do
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: it in your grandmama's bedroom with all that prescription medicine
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: sitting on the m and her teeth and jaw talking
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: to us. How that look for you? That's perfect? Right there? Yeah,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I got another one for you. Back into the house.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: She don't like the bedroom no more. Let's go into kitchen. Yeah,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: open up the oven dough and do it on the
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: doughnut the oven O two twenty five for a little
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: extra heat. That's pre heat. That would be pretty highly
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: yoga pat, I tell you what. On that damnfridgerator. I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: want you to sit up on top of the crispi
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: being huh and watch this hill. Watch them, he don't
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: break them? Here? Can I jump in here? Go ahead? Time,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: let's going on. Let's going on to the amusement park.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Get on that roller coaster. And when we get ready
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: to come down on that big one, God, all our
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: clothes come down to that's what we're going right down
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: on the way down, baby, on the way down. Yeah,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the stomach falls off. Yeah, that's when it's good. Yeah,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I'm just I got another one. Oh,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: let's go down to the haunted house. They jump out
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: of halla. Boo we go boo you Yeah, so all
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: this is to break her? Oh? Yeah? Can I just
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: get one in on? You got to go ahead here?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Why don't they do this? Pass the anniversary. Let's go
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: get down here, down here at the church. Not what
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: you want to do. You want to thrill, don't you.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: That's three o'clock service right there. Yeah, three o'clock service
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: right down here, and pass his office. Let's go. Okay,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: let's go, don't take it over, let's take it up
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: about thirty thousand feet. Let's do that. We're gonna go parachute. Okay,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: we're gonna but when we jump out, when we pull
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: it yeah. Yeah, we're pulling it. When we pull it,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: we're pulling it, all right, stay with me, we do it, yeah,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: all the way down, the way down. I'll tell you what.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I got one better than that. Let's go get a
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: horse and tie the rope on the horse and tie
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: one piece of rope around your ankle and another rope
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: around my ankle, and then and let him drag out.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Ask why are we doing? Yeah, yeah, I like good.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Ain't nothing like good dragging level. Okay, yeah, that's a
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: good one. Let's go to the circus, put me in
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: that cannon, and when shoot me out of there, be
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: ready for him, because I'm landing right on you as
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: soon as that come. Hi, y'all. Yeah, that's good. I
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: got one for you right here. I'm abouas two first
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: class tickets on the airplane. Come on, I want you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: to get up. Open the curtain the first class. But
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: just put your head back into the coach. Just put
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: your head why just stick your head back in the
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: coach so you looking at the curtain. Then don't see
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: nothing but your head. They don't know why you move.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna be back there, first class. Just do it.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Your hand is in coach. People in coach looking up?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: What is shit? Do it? Yeah? Make sure you hit
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: them tapeless while you and not hit them now, that's
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: what I think. Or break all this. Yeah, freaky. Thanks guys,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I think. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Please don't forget
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: coming up at forty six minutes after the hour. And
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: entertainment news Gail King is receiving backlash for her interview
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: with Lisa Leslie right after this. You're listening to Harvey
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Morning Show. Gail King, of course from CBS this morning.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: She just interviewed WNBA legend Lisa Leslie about her very
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: good friend, her very close friend, Kobe Bryant, and she
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: was asking about his legacy and about you know, old
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: charges against him. Anyway, take a listen. It's been said
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: that his legacy is complicated because of a sexual assault
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: charge which was dismissed in two thousand and three, two
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: thousand and four. Is it complicated for you as a
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: woman as a w NBA player. It's not complicated for
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: me at all, even if there's a few times that
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: we've been at a club at the same time, Kobe's
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: not the kind of guy, never been like you know,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: at least go get that girl or tell her or
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: send her this. I have other NBA friends that are
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: like that. He was never like that. I just never see,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: have ever seen him being the kind of person that
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: would be do something to violate a woman or be
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: aggressive in that way. That's just not the person that
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I know. But Lisa, you wouldn't see it though. As
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: this friend, you wouldn't see it, and that's possible. I
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: just it's just I just don't I just don't believe that.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: And I'm not saying things didn't happen. I just don't
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: believe that things didn't happen with force. Is it even
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: a fair question to talk about it, considering he's no
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: longer with us and that it was resolved, or is
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: it really part of his history? I think that the
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: media should be more respectful at this time. A lot
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: of clop back for Gail. People did not like bash. Yeah, backlash,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: that's what I mean. And then she said, reading the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: comm about the interview I took with Lisa Leslie about
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant, and I know that if I had only
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: seen the clip that you saw, I'd be extremely angry
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: with me too. I reached out to Lisa because I
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: know that she's a longtime friend of Kobe's to talk
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: about his legacy and their friendship. We had a really
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: wide ranging interview. Talked about many things, his career, his passion,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: his sense of humor, the way he was mentoring other people,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: how he was starting his next chapter. It was wide ranging.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: And yes, we talked about that court case because that
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: court case has also come up, and I wanted to
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: get Lisa's take on it as a friend who knew
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: him well. And I thought it was very powerful when
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: she looked me in the eye as a member of
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the media to say it's time for the media to
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: leave it alone and to back off. During the course
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: of the interview, I asked follow up questions because I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: wanted to make sure that her position and perspective were
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: very clear. And at the end when she said it's
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: time for to leave it alone, I thought that was powerful.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: It's still no matter where you placed that question, it's
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: poor timing. I think it's poor taste. I think it
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: has nothing to do with who he was as a
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: person or his legacy, and Leslie said, if you had
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: questions about it, you've had many years to ask him that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Here you go, coming up our girl from the Talk
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Republican Cheryl Underwood. Right after this, you're listening show Aco
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Get Away from Miss Sheryl Underwood. Yeah. Now I'm talking
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: about Steve Harvey, Steve Harvey family. I'm talking to you, Colin,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: talking to you. Oh, I got gee something ass Hey Junior,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. That's right, It's gonna happen somewhere in
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: twenty twenty. Hey, Junior, Hey, I gotta shout out to Eve.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: She's hosting the thirteenth annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Will be in the house that is happening. Then, all

- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Off Broadway Club with Mike Washington. We got two shows
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Friday night, two shows Saturdnight. But wait, there's more. I'll
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: be at the Walmart on forty fifty one Nicholas Bill
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Rode in Lexington, Lexington, Kentucky, Saturday February at tenth from
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: ten am to twelve pm. I let your girl. Then
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna bounce all over to the club Comedy off
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Broadway and lesson because I get your tickets. I will
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: be cussing and acting crazy because Junior needs a Valentine
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: give that shows the appreciation for my love. But first,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: before I get back to Junior, did y'all see what
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: happened at the hour man? Listen, hold on, I'm gonna
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: break it down for you. Everybody like, oh, Joe Biden,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: he came in fourth. First of all, that ain't the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: story because Joe Biden knew he wasn't gonna do good
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: in Iowa. He'd already do that, so he was braced forward.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: The story is Bernard Sander came in second. The Guccia Gang.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: The Guccia Gang boy is the winner. And see everybody
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: didn't believe Gucci Gang. Then Bernard Sander came in second.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren, I'm a substitute teacher and I sound like that.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: That's why I can't be president, Elizabeth Ward. Joe Biden,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: the Eagle on the Muppet Show, came in for close.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Y'all gotta got a problem about the brother that's on
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: death row. Then what's your boy? Andrew Yang? I think
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: he was like him down there and stayer. So what
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: they need to do is get together and go Listen,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna give all my votes over here, but it
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: ain't over. What does this mean. It means it's not
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: a lot of us in Oura, not a lot of
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: us in New Hampshire. But we got to go out
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: and get involved in this primary system so you can
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: pick somebody to beat Trump. Oh snap, oh my bad, Junior.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Did you watch? Did you watch? What did you think about?
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Did you did you think it was unusual that Trump
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: seemed to know where all these black people was yet union? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: it find it quite quite odd that every time one
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: stood up, he was looking down Rick lad listen. But
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: the Tuskegee Airmen, I will say this, he was. He's
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: a monumental figure. He's one of the one of the
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: few living Tuskegee Airman. He's one hundred plus years old.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: So we gotta respect this brother. And I think he
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: was only there because of the office of the President
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: of the United States. I don't really think he rolling
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: with Trump like that. You know, none of them are.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: They just were invited. The dude that was suffering the
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: voll War veteran of suffering from postals. He looked uncomb
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: even when he pointed out the senator from North Carolina,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: the black Yeah, who gets on my nerves a little
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: bit because he was talking to yesterday on seeing then
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: about why he acquitted the president. Well, I ain't give
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: it up to Mint Romney though, Mill Romney, Mitt Romney
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: say Domino, I'm voting. No. I was like him, Mitt Romney.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm with Mitt Romney right now. But wait, man, But
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I did tear up when the soldier came home. The
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: wife didn't know that the soldier was on and he
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: walked down. I teared up on that one. I teared up,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: and then I felt I felt played because I felt
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: like it was a setup, like it ain't last happened.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Trump needs stopped playing with the military too. But if
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: you want him out, and Pence gotta go with him,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: and no Knack, McConnell gotta go with. But I like
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: when Nancy Pelosi tore up the script and she looked
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: like Dezel and Glory. I never saw, I never saw.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: I kept I kept waiting, you know, to kept showing
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: the where he where he showned her to handshake. Yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: all right, listen, thank you Cheryl. As always, we'll be

- 1:15:57Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Show. Gail King, of course from
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: CBS this morning. She just interviewed WNBA legend Lisa Leslie
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: about her very good friend, her very close friend, Kobe Bryant,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: and she was asking about his legacy and about you know,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: old charges against him. Anyway, take a listen. It's been
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: said that his legacy is complicated because of a sexual
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: assault charge which was dismissed in two thousand and three,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: two thousand and four. Is it complicated for you as
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: a woman, as a w NBA player. It's not complicated
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: for me at all, even if there's a few times
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: that we even been at that club. At the same time,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Kobe's not the kind of guy, never been like you know,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: at leasa go get that girl or to her her
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: sender this, I have other NBA friends that are like that.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: He was never like that. I just never have ever
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: seen him being the kind of person that would do

- 1:16:57Speaker 1: That's just not the person that I know. But Lisa,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: you wouldn't see it though. As this friend, you wouldn't
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: see it, and that's possible. I just it's just I
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: just don't I just don't believe that. And I'm not
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: saying things didn't happen. I just don't believe that things
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: didn't happen with Forrest. Is it even a fair question
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: to talk about it, considering he's no longer with us
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: and that it was resolved, or is it really part
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: of his history? I think that the media should be
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: more respectful at this time. A lot of clapback for Gail.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: People did not lie. Backlash, Yeah, backlash, That's what I mean.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: And then she said, I've been up reading the comments
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: about the interview I did with Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: and I know that if I had only seen the
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: clip that you saw, I'd be extremely angry with me too.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I reached out to Lisa because I know that she's
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: a longtime friend of Kobe's to talk about his legacy
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: and their friendship. We had a really wide ranging interview,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: talked about many things, his career, his passion, his sense
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: of humor, the way he was mentoring other people, how
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: he was starting his next chapter. It was wide ranging.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: And yes, we talked about that court case because that
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: court case has also come up and I wanted to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: get Lisa's take on it as a friend who knew

- 1:18:24Speaker 1: leave it alone and to back off. During the course
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: of the interview, I asked followup questions because I wanted
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: to make sure that her position and perspective were very clear.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: And at the end when she said it's time to
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: leave it alone, I thought that was powerful. It's still
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: no matter where you placed at question, it's poor timing.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I think it's poor taste. I think it has nothing
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to do with who he was as a person or
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: his legacy, and said, if you had questions about it,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you've had many years to ask him. There you go
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: when a person has past and then you hear people
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: come out years later slamming this person. I'm always a
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: little curious of the motive. I get real curious when
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: people do that. All right, coming up our last break
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of the day, and then we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: from the one and I would lee Steve Harvey at
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: This is our last break of the day. People, It's
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: been a good the last break of the day. There
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you go. See, Strawberry Lead was my favorite day. A
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: young man that was struggling with this woman who wanted
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: to be an exhibition in sexually public places and he
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: couldn't handle it. Hey, uh, I got I got something
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I want to share with you all today. Um you
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: know today, when I woke up this morning, I had
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: all Because it was Super Bowl weekend and we were
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: in Miami, I didn't do my usual meditation every morning,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: and I missed about three days in the row of
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: my early morning meditation. I always get up is something
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I've been doing for a little while now. I started
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it last summer, and I very rarely missed a day.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I've been very very happy about that. The benefit of
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: it is it gives me a moment alone before the
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: hectic part of the day begins. And before the phone
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: starts ringing and before I you know, I used to
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: wake up and look at my emails and my text
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and get started. And I stopped doing that. And it's
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: been a big refresher for me in my life because
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: I just felt like I was starting my day wrong.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I needed to have some spirituality bought into my life
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: first thing in the morning. And I found that. Ever
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: since this summer, that has been a very very important aspect.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: It's been very calming for me, it has been very
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: very invigorating. It has helped me change the way a
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: lot of my days start. But that alone time that
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: I spend having my spiritual moment with my creator is
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: the way I've chosen to do it. I want to
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: tell you all something, if you haven't tried that, give
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: it a try. It's something about the early morning hours
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: before you start hearing trafficking, before you turn the TV
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: on or answer emails or texts. It's something about the
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: quiet of early morning, before the house starts moving around
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and plates clanging and stuff like that, and doors shutting.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: It's an amazing time to get in touch with your spirituality.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: And I suggest just give it a try. You know,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: it may not be for you. It may not. I
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: don't I don't know you, but it happens a lot.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I was reading a scripture once doing this thing it
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: and was saying that I'm paraphrasing it because it show
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: ain't what it said exactly, but I will come with
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: you in the early mornings and hear your cry. And
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: so it has been very beneficial to me. And this morning,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: in particular, after spending about three days not doing it, today,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I sat down and all I did in my journal,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: because I have a Bible, I have a daily devotion
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: when I have a journal, All I did in my
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: journal this morning was I began to write out everything
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I could think of that I wanted to thank him for.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I just put a list of things I was grateful for.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: And the next thing I know, I had feeled up
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: two page, I mean two complete pages in my journal,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you know. And now it's not a piece of notebook paper,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: you know they're going to three ring binder, but it's
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: it's a substantial piece of paper. And I filled it
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: up because I was just I couldn't stop writing, and
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I was writing everything I'm thinking. For safe passage in
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the airways, I thanked him for my children's health. I
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: thanked him for guidance. I started thinking him for everything
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: that he's done for me that I pray about, and
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the things that he's done for me that I don't
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: pray about. I thank him for my breath. I thanked
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: him for my measure of health. I thanked him for
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: being able to have a lifestyle beyond my dreams. I
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: was thanking him for the ability to dress myself. I
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: was thanking him for going to the Super Bowl, for
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: having us a successful NFL honors, for meeting people, for
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: taking on the mantra of two twenty twenty twenty of
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: no complaints. I just decided in twenty twenty I didn't
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: want to complain. So I've cut back on that. I
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: haven't stopped completely. You know, I'm catching myself every now
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: and then, but I've been so far. I've cut down
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: on complaining drastically, and I thank him for that, because
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: instead of complaining, whenever I feel like I want to
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: complain about something, I find a way to be grateful.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: I find something to be grateful for. So I've I've
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: replaced complaining with gratitude. Wow. Wow, what a game changer,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: What an amazing mental state that puts you in. If
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: you could exchange complaining for gratitude. Gratitude is a very
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: very underrated principle of success. Not many people talk about it.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: But the more grateful you are, the more things grateful
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: God will give you to be grateful for. The more
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: grateful you are, the more thing God God will give
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: to you to be grateful for. That's a fact. That's
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: a fact. And so I'm suggesting to everybody get up
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: a little bit earlier and spend twenty minutes, fifteen minutes,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: let's start there. The more you can do, the better.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: But if you could start with ten quiet minutes with
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: just you and you and God, and I don't care
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: what faith you're in, just you and God. Just spend
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: some time talking with him, thanking him, telling him what
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: you want, tell him what you need, asking for the
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: help that you want. But tell him you love him,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and tell him you and tell him you're trying to
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: get it right and you need some helping, and tell
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: him what you want and thank him. It's an amazing
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: way to start your day. Just give it a thought.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Job That's all. Those are my close remarks. Um, y'all
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: have a great WEEKI all right, yeah great. Thank you.
