Peace Run Passes Through Siouxland | Sioux City News
A group of eleven runners just passed through Siouxland on a 10,000-mile Peace Run, carrying torches symbolizing global harmony since its 1987 start by Sri Chinmoy. Running relay-style in two-mile stretches, they stopped at South Sioux City Hall to present the mayor with a certificate and collected local soil for a future peace tree in Queens—symbolizing unity from all 50 states.
