Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and is the week in Review in Mayo, Maida. We
- 0:07Speaker 1: have some big stories that we talked about this week,
- 0:10Speaker 1: just three days now away from election day. First up,
- 0:14Speaker 1: the campaign Donald Trump is running now in twenty twenty
- 0:17Speaker 1: four very different than in twenty sixteen. So could this
- 0:22Speaker 1: be the difference for him to be able to win
- 0:24Speaker 1: this time compared to twenty twenty We break that down. Also,
- 0:29Speaker 1: the Hispanic community seems to be turning away from the
- 0:32Speaker 1: Democratic Party and moving towards Donald Trump over the border issue.
- 0:37Speaker 1: How big of an issue will that be on election day?
- 0:40Speaker 1: We'll dive into that. And finally, many Americans are concerned
- 0:44Speaker 1: about illegal votes. Well, guess what, they have real reason
- 0:48Speaker 1: to be concerned about it, as a Chinese immigrant voted
- 0:52Speaker 1: in Michigan and they caught him voting illegally. The problem
- 0:56Speaker 1: is they're still saying his ballot will count. It's the
- 1:01Speaker 1: weekend review and it starts right now.
- 1:04Speaker 2: You know. It's also I.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Think very interesting to see how Donald Trump is putting
- 1:07Speaker 1: together this campaign. It's a little bit different than he
- 1:10Speaker 1: did in sixteen certainly, and that is he understands how
- 1:14Speaker 1: important it is to have a team around him, whether
- 1:18Speaker 1: it's border patrol agents. But he also had some things
- 1:21Speaker 1: to say about you. You were obviously there with him,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and I want people to let them hear what he
- 1:27Speaker 1: said about you and how he understands. Now, this is
- 1:30Speaker 1: so important that we have a team together that can
- 1:34Speaker 1: actually implement some of these ideas in Washington, because if
- 1:37Speaker 1: you don't have team members, if you don't win the Senate,
- 1:39Speaker 1: if you don't win the House, you're not going to
- 1:42Speaker 1: get as much done as you want to.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And I think he understands this time.
- 1:46Speaker 1: He needs a very tight team that can take these
- 1:49Speaker 1: things that he's talking about on the road and put
- 1:51Speaker 1: them into action in Congress. Take a listen Donald Trump
- 1:56Speaker 1: talking about you.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Senator.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I want to thank some of the special guests we have,
- 2:01Speaker 3: Senator Ted Cruz for being here.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Senator talk.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And it's hard to believe he's in a race because honestly,
- 2:12Speaker 3: I don't know who would want to run against him,
- 2:13Speaker 3: because he's really a great senator.
- 2:17Speaker 4: He's a great senator.
- 2:18Speaker 3: He loves a country, he's tough as hell, he fights,
- 2:21Speaker 3: he's always fighting, and you know, and he's fighting for
- 2:24Speaker 3: the state. But he's fighting more for the country than
- 2:27Speaker 3: just about anybody. And John Barassa would acknowledge that. John
- 2:30Speaker 3: is one of our leaders in the Senate and he's
- 2:33Speaker 3: a fantasticant. So Ted, I know your thing is going good.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I heard you helped you very greatly. You got a
- 2:40Speaker 3: big pop, right, and I know you're doing great. But
- 2:43Speaker 3: I just want to say he's got my complete and
- 2:45Speaker 3: total endorsement.
- 2:46Speaker 4: He has always, always will have.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And You're going to have a great day, and hopefully
- 2:52Speaker 3: I'm going to have a great day, and we're going
- 2:54Speaker 3: to be celebrating together, and we're going to make our
- 2:57Speaker 3: country as we say or we'll make America great. We're
- 3:00Speaker 3: going to make it great. And it's going to go
- 3:01Speaker 3: faster than you think. But it can't sustain this for
- 3:04Speaker 3: another four years.
- 3:05Speaker 4: That I do believe, you know.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's his mindset is just so different this time. It's
- 3:11Speaker 1: like I got to get a group of warriors that
- 3:14Speaker 1: are going to come together and fight for this country.
- 3:16Speaker 1: And I love the way he talks about people just
- 3:19Speaker 1: like you, where he's like, look, we got to get
- 3:21Speaker 1: this done together as a team.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Yeah, Look, we got a lot of work to do.
- 3:24Speaker 5: And when Trump was president the first time, I was
- 3:27Speaker 5: by far his strongest ally in the Senate, and when
- 3:30Speaker 5: he's reelected, I'll again be by far his strongest ally
- 3:33Speaker 5: in the Senate. And the job we have to do.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I look back over these last four years, I've never
- 3:39Speaker 5: seen so much damage done to our country in such
- 3:41Speaker 5: a short period of time. And so we've got a
- 3:44Speaker 5: massive amount of work to do to secure the border,
- 3:46Speaker 5: which we're going to do, and we're going to do
- 3:47Speaker 5: it early next year. It's not going to take a year.
- 3:49Speaker 5: It's not even going to take six months. We're going
- 3:51Speaker 5: to secure the border in January and February of next year.
- 3:55Speaker 6: And it is going to be.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Simply reversing the policy, ending catch and release, Ian stating
- 4:01Speaker 5: remain in Mexico, and once people discover that if you come,
- 4:06Speaker 5: you don't get to stay, you get set home, the
- 4:08Speaker 5: numbers will plummet immediately. We're also going to extend the
- 4:12Speaker 5: tax cuts. We're gonna We're gonna, you know, the Wall
- 4:14Speaker 5: Street Journal calls this election the six trillion dollar election,
- 4:17Speaker 5: because that's how much your taxes go up if Kamala
- 4:20Speaker 5: Harrison the Democrats win, or how much they go down
- 4:23Speaker 5: and stay down if the Republicans win. We're going to
- 4:26Speaker 5: end the regulatory assault on small businesses. We're gonna end
- 4:30Speaker 5: the regulatory assault on oil and gas and jobs in Texas.
- 4:34Speaker 5: And we're gonna end the wars. We're gonna see both
- 4:36Speaker 5: of the wars abroad come to an end. In Israel's
- 4:38Speaker 5: going to defeat Hamas. There's a lot of upside and
- 4:40Speaker 5: and and so that was very kind of Trump what
- 4:43Speaker 5: he said at the rally. And he's focused on the
- 4:46Speaker 5: job at hand, what we got to do. And and
- 4:48Speaker 5: by the way, the contrast, the contrast is really striking.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Listen to Kama, Listen to Trump talking about what Kamala
- 4:55Speaker 5: was doing the very same day here in Texas.
- 4:58Speaker 3: But today Kamala is here in Texas to rubbed shoulders
- 5:02Speaker 3: with woke celebrities.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Isn't that exciting?
- 5:06Speaker 3: But she's not going to meet with any of the
- 5:08Speaker 3: victims of migrant crime while she's here.
- 5:11Speaker 4: We have many of them right here, the families with
- 5:14Speaker 4: many of them, and they're incredible people.
- 5:16Speaker 3: What they've gone through, the hell that they've gone through
- 5:20Speaker 3: and will continue to go through. Unfortunately, she'll not speak
- 5:24Speaker 3: to the grieving mothers from whom she has stolen the
- 5:28Speaker 3: brightest light in their lives. She was in charge of
- 5:30Speaker 3: this border and she doesn't like being called borders already,
- 5:33Speaker 3: where she didn't mind it almost four years.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Ago, but now she doesn't like it. But you don't
- 5:39Speaker 4: need that term. She was in charge of the border.
- 5:41Speaker 3: She never came here, and she never made one call
- 5:44Speaker 3: to these people behind me or anybody in the group.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Not one call. She's in charge, she deals with border patrol.
- 5:51Speaker 3: She hasn't made Paul, not even not one call in
- 5:54Speaker 3: four years.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Not one call in four years. Wow.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Yeah, look, it's a striking contrast. And then we saw
- 6:04Speaker 5: shortly after Trump's rally, we saw Kamala come to Houston
- 6:08Speaker 5: and it was it was a rally. It was in
- 6:11Speaker 5: the Shell Energy Stadium, and you know it was designed
- 6:15Speaker 5: to get lots of headlines, which the corporate media, like
- 6:18Speaker 5: Bleeding Sheep, completely gave of huge crowd comes out to
- 6:22Speaker 5: see Kamala Harris. Now, of course they told everyone it
- 6:25Speaker 5: was a Beyonce concert. And Beyonce is by any measure,
- 6:31Speaker 5: one of the five biggest musical stars on the face
- 6:34Speaker 5: of the planet. And so you know, it was interesting
- 6:39Speaker 5: to see all of the media gushing, oh thirty thousand
- 6:42Speaker 5: people came out to see Kamala Harris. What they really
- 6:44Speaker 5: should have written is smallest concert in a decade for Beyonce,
- 6:48Speaker 5: because I don't think Beyonce's performed to anything as small
- 6:52Speaker 5: as thirty thousand, and particularly when it was free. They
- 6:55Speaker 5: weren't charging you. Free Beyonce concert brings only thirty thousand people.
- 6:59Speaker 5: I mean, that would be a headline. But I got
- 7:02Speaker 5: to say, it really was striking that they had to
- 7:04Speaker 5: tell people they were coming to a free concert and
- 7:06Speaker 5: then they got there and they didn't even have her
- 7:08Speaker 5: sing God Bless America. I mean they they like, she
- 7:11Speaker 5: didn't even hum good morning, like like it was.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It was striking, the ultimate bait and switch as we
- 7:18Speaker 1: call it.
- 7:19Speaker 6: It really was.
- 7:20Speaker 5: And and listen, I think it's because they were afraid
- 7:23Speaker 5: if they just said a Kamala concert that that people
- 7:27Speaker 5: wouldn't show up, and so they had to have a
- 7:29Speaker 5: reason to get people to come there, and it was
- 7:32Speaker 5: not to see Kamala Harris. And I got to say, listen,
- 7:35Speaker 5: I didn't watch the Kamala rally. I have a limit
- 7:40Speaker 5: to to masochism and how much how much just prattling
- 7:45Speaker 5: on I can endure. So I don't really know what
- 7:47Speaker 5: they said, because I like, I think I went out
- 7:50Speaker 5: and had to water my lawn instead. I just I
- 7:52Speaker 5: know there was something else I had to do. But
- 7:55Speaker 5: I did see because it's where I see an awful
- 7:59Speaker 5: lot of things in life. I did see on x
- 8:02Speaker 5: a truly horrific snippet outside of this woman who's a
- 8:07Speaker 5: Kamala Harris supporter, this young woman in her twenties who
- 8:12Speaker 5: comes up to this toddler maybe two three years old,
- 8:15Speaker 5: this little girl in a stroller and begins screaming at
- 8:19Speaker 5: the top of her lungs and cursing at this little baby.
- 8:23Speaker 5: And it was I've never seen anything like this. I mean, Ben,
- 8:26Speaker 5: have you ever seen and this is not her child?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and this was it went It went viral for
- 8:31Speaker 1: a reason because it was just so disgusting. It was
- 8:34Speaker 1: a shocking, shocking moment, like what are you doing and
- 8:37Speaker 1: the fact that she knew people were recording it and
- 8:39Speaker 1: didn't care.
- 8:41Speaker 5: And by the way, there was another Kamala Harris supporter
- 8:44Speaker 5: next to her who actually intervened, had got in her
- 8:46Speaker 5: face and like you can't quite tell what she's saying,
- 8:49Speaker 5: but she's basically like, what the hell are you doing
- 8:51Speaker 5: You don't do this, lady, like, kudos to the woman
- 8:55Speaker 5: who intervened and stopped her. And the dad reaches over
- 8:58Speaker 5: and grabs his little girl and her up. But I
- 9:01Speaker 5: gotta say, and I don't know, I don't know this
- 9:04Speaker 5: woman's story. She's she's in her twenties. And and you know,
- 9:10Speaker 5: I just never said that.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Listen.
- 9:12Speaker 5: I was forced to retweet it and just say, this
- 9:15Speaker 5: is deranged because I have never in my life seen
- 9:19Speaker 5: anyone do this to a little child, A two three
- 9:22Speaker 5: year old little girl doesn't know what's going on. Just
- 9:25Speaker 5: this this crazy stranger. And we're not talking just to
- 9:30Speaker 5: one little comment. We're talking screaming at the top of
- 9:33Speaker 5: her lungs at a child in a stroller. And and
- 9:37Speaker 5: and listen, I think a lot of people online observed
- 9:41Speaker 5: what was my reaction, which which is there's a level
- 9:46Speaker 5: of hate, a level of radicalism that Biden and Harris
- 9:51Speaker 5: and and and the modern Democrats have inculcated in their
- 9:54Speaker 5: followers that that they've convinced them, number one, that Donald
- 9:58Speaker 5: Trump is hitler. That literally as their closing message, that
- 10:01Speaker 5: he's hitler. And they've also convinced them that anyone who
- 10:07Speaker 5: supports Trump is evil, is a Nazi as a clansman,
- 10:11Speaker 5: and apparently that extends to a two year old and
- 10:14Speaker 5: a stroller, And and look, I was horrified watching it,
- 10:20Speaker 5: But I was also just sad watching it. Sad for
- 10:23Speaker 5: a country that that that. How have we convinced? Look this,
- 10:28Speaker 5: I'm sure this young woman who screamed at this child,
- 10:31Speaker 5: I'm sure the whole world is pounded down upon her
- 10:34Speaker 5: in the days since then, and it has gone so viral.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Look when you scream at a child, bad things happened
- 10:40Speaker 5: to you.
- 10:41Speaker 6: But but.
- 10:43Speaker 5: I just viewed it as a really sad sign of
- 10:46Speaker 5: just how much hatred has infused. And look, there are
- 10:53Speaker 5: people on the right that feel that hatred as well,
- 10:55Speaker 5: but I got to tell you the intensity of it.
- 10:59Speaker 5: I haven't heard to anyone on the right say kamalas Hitler.
- 11:03Speaker 5: It's only one side that is invoking the Hitler analogies
- 11:06Speaker 5: that and you know that kind of a closing.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Argument, This is it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: This is their last thing they want you to say is, hey,
- 11:14Speaker 1: if you vote for him, you are a Nazi and
- 11:18Speaker 1: he is Hitler. And that is the closing argument for
- 11:20Speaker 1: the American people. I just don't see how that plays
- 11:23Speaker 1: well on election day.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yeah, and it just if you're screaming at babies, you've
- 11:30Speaker 5: really kind of lost lost your footing and lost your
- 11:34Speaker 5: grounding and lost you know, what it is to be
- 11:37Speaker 5: a reasonable, compassionate, loving human being.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 11:44Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 11:46Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. Let
- 11:51Speaker 1: me also ask you about the Hispanic community as well,
- 11:54Speaker 1: because the Hispanic community really seems to be talking a
- 11:58Speaker 1: lot about the issue of the border, and the border
- 12:02Speaker 1: issue is one where many in the Hispanic community have
- 12:05Speaker 1: been affected by the border. They've been affected by the fetanol,
- 12:08Speaker 1: They've been affected by the gang violence, they've been affected
- 12:10Speaker 1: by the sex trafficking, they've been affected by the violent
- 12:13Speaker 1: criminals have come across that were let go by this administration,
- 12:17Speaker 1: including those who were convicted murderers and convicted rapists. And
- 12:22Speaker 1: you're seeing now these stories that are also really connecting
- 12:29Speaker 1: with the Hispanic community, watching and witnessing what has happened
- 12:34Speaker 1: within this Hispanic community, which is a very tight knit
- 12:37Speaker 1: community historically in this country. And they are also breaking
- 12:41Speaker 1: away from the Democratic Party as well.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Yeah, and in very large numbers.
- 12:45Speaker 5: I'll tell you, in Texas and across the country, we're
- 12:47Speaker 5: seeing Hispanic voters moving right in very significant numbers, and
- 12:53Speaker 5: there are lots of reasons for it.
- 12:54Speaker 6: One of the reasons for it is economically.
- 12:56Speaker 5: The Hispanic community has been savaged by inflation and the
- 13:00Speaker 5: economic challenges that is hitting Americans across the board.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Listen, I can tell you in Texas.
- 13:07Speaker 5: If you're an Hispanic guy in South Texas and you
- 13:10Speaker 5: work in the oil fields and you drive a pickup
- 13:13Speaker 5: truck and you go bird hunting on the weekends, you're
- 13:16Speaker 5: voting for Donald Trump because Kamala Harris is doing everything
- 13:19Speaker 5: she can to destroy your livelihood. And then you put
- 13:22Speaker 5: on top of that the chaos at our southern border
- 13:25Speaker 5: and the influx of crime and releasing violent murderers and
- 13:29Speaker 5: Venezuelan gang members. I'll tell you many of the victims
- 13:33Speaker 5: of this, these crimes are themselves Hispanic. Many of the
- 13:36Speaker 5: illegal immigrants are going to heavily Hispanic neighborhoods where where
- 13:40Speaker 5: the victims are Hispanic themselves, and the Democrats have no answers.
- 13:45Speaker 5: And so I think we're seeing the Hispanic community moving right.
- 13:49Speaker 6: And I will say the contrast.
- 13:51Speaker 5: So in the closing week, Joe Biden has decided his
- 13:54Speaker 5: argument is, if you're voting for Donald Trump, your garbage.
- 13:58Speaker 5: In the closing week, Donald Trump actually just today put
- 14:03Speaker 5: out an incredibly powerful new ad, and we talked about
- 14:07Speaker 5: how on Friday I was with President Trump in Texas
- 14:10Speaker 5: and we were there with families of those who lost
- 14:13Speaker 5: loved ones to violent, criminal, illegal aliens, including Alexis Nungary,
- 14:18Speaker 5: the mom of Joscelyn Hungary. And as I mentioned, I've
- 14:20Speaker 5: gotten to know Alexis very well. She's an incredible young woman.
- 14:24Speaker 5: She's just twenty seven years old, and she's dealing with
- 14:28Speaker 5: the worst grief imaginable, and she's taken that pain which
- 14:33Speaker 5: easily could just crush you. You could just just curl up
- 14:35Speaker 5: at a ball and be unable to do anything. And
- 14:39Speaker 5: instead she's taken all of that pain and she's channeled
- 14:42Speaker 5: it into being a voice for Joscelyn, speaking out for Joscelyn.
- 14:47Speaker 5: And look, Alexis has told me listen, she knows she
- 14:49Speaker 5: can't bring Joscelyn back, but if she can speak out
- 14:52Speaker 5: and change the policies, maybe she can save another little girl.
- 14:56Speaker 5: Maybe she can save another mom from enduring the grief
- 15:00Speaker 5: and sorrow and misery of losing your child. And so
- 15:05Speaker 5: I want you, I want you to listen to this
- 15:08Speaker 5: ad And it's just an extended interview with Alexis the
- 15:12Speaker 5: Trump campaign just put out because it really does sum
- 15:16Speaker 5: up the human cost of Kamala Harris's open borders and
- 15:21Speaker 5: the suffering.
- 15:22Speaker 6: That is happening.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Sunday night, I asked her to not stay up super
- 15:27Speaker 7: late because of her coming to work with me in
- 15:30Speaker 7: the morning first to do her summer school. She said okay,
- 15:35Speaker 7: and I told her good night and I love you.
- 15:38Speaker 7: I went to bed, not realizing that that was going
- 15:41Speaker 7: to be the last time I saw her.
- 15:43Speaker 6: We're best friend, were thinking again.
- 15:51Speaker 7: I woke up to notice she wasn't in her bread.
- 15:55Speaker 7: I'm in my heart trying not to lose my mind
- 15:58Speaker 7: because I don't know where she is. I finally remembered
- 16:02Speaker 7: her phone had a location on and her phone was
- 16:06Speaker 7: pinging just two minutes down the road, right behind the skatepark.
- 16:11Speaker 7: I start driving to the direction of the phone was
- 16:14Speaker 7: being pinged at, and I see a couple of cop
- 16:18Speaker 7: cars with lights on. I see yellow tape and immediately
- 16:23Speaker 7: my heart drops and sinks to the bottom of my stomach.
- 16:29Speaker 7: My daughter's hands and ankles were both bound. She was
- 16:33Speaker 7: strangled to death with left with no pants, and I
- 16:38Speaker 7: know in my heart she fought incredibly hard. She was
- 16:44Speaker 7: not going down without a fight.
- 16:50Speaker 5: We begin with two men. We're learning our charge with
- 16:53Speaker 5: capital murder Tonight accused of killing a twelve.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Year old girl, strangled her before dumping her into that
- 17:00Speaker 2: Both men were in the country illegally.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Apprehended than released by border patrol less.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Than three weeks before Jocelyn's dad.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Man accused of killing Joscelyn Nungray are affiliated with the
- 17:10Speaker 1: gang known for brutal violence.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Kamala Harris was in charge of immigration in our borders.
- 17:18Speaker 7: If we had better border policies and not open borders
- 17:22Speaker 7: and not these catch and release policies. I truly believe
- 17:27Speaker 7: this all could have been prevented under her being Vice
- 17:31Speaker 7: president of this country. My daughter's life was ripped away
- 17:37Speaker 7: from her. She had her entire life ahead of her.
- 17:46Speaker 7: My daughter is six feet in the ground based off
- 17:49Speaker 7: of policies that she allowed to keep. Kamala Harris did
- 17:54Speaker 7: have one job and she not only failed, not me,
- 18:01Speaker 7: she failed my daughter. She filled Joscelyn. You know she
- 18:05Speaker 7: was only twelve. President Trump reached out gave me his
- 18:10Speaker 7: sincereous condolences as not a former president, but just as
- 18:14Speaker 7: a father, someone who cares. I believe Donald Trump needs
- 18:19Speaker 7: to be back in office. I can at least know
- 18:23Speaker 7: that my next child will be safe in this country.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Senator, I've not seen a more powerful ad in my lifetime,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and especially and we'll put it up on social media
- 18:36Speaker 1: because you need to watch it. Because you see this
- 18:40Speaker 1: mother telling your story and you see the pictures of
- 18:43Speaker 1: her daughter. And if this is the closing argument for
- 18:48Speaker 1: Donald Trump's campaign, it is the most powerful one I
- 18:51Speaker 1: think he could have used.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Look, I have sat in her living room. I've sat
- 18:59Speaker 5: with a le Exus, Jocelyn's mom. I've sat with with Kelvin,
- 19:02Speaker 5: Jocelyn's grandfather, as they've told me that they shared those
- 19:07Speaker 5: same stories, just just one on one with me, and
- 19:10Speaker 5: and and the agony. I every time I see her
- 19:16Speaker 5: talk about Joscelyn, it just it. This is the very
- 19:21Speaker 5: real cost. And I got to say, it's a very
- 19:25Speaker 5: different message than than than Kamalin Joe Biden's closing argument.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Uh.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Finally, Senator Donald Trump Is is not just running a
- 19:35Speaker 1: campaign and and doing the speeches. He is continuing to
- 19:39Speaker 1: announce new policies for his administration. If you wins, and
- 19:44Speaker 1: one of them I hit a nerve with a lot
- 19:46Speaker 1: of Americans in a positive way today when he said
- 19:50Speaker 1: this about the victims of the cartels.
- 19:54Speaker 3: So today I'm announcing that, for the first time under
- 19:58Speaker 3: my administration, we will she's using the assets of the
- 20:01Speaker 3: criminal gangs and drug cartels, and we will use those
- 20:08Speaker 3: assets to create a compensation fund.
- 20:11Speaker 4: To provide restitution for the victims of migrant crime.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And the government will help in the restoration. The government
- 20:20Speaker 3: will help in the restitution.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I mean, that's what Americans want. They want action.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Yes, yes, that Look, that's exactly the right thing to do.
- 20:31Speaker 5: And it's the reason why Jocelyn. Look, it's only been
- 20:34Speaker 5: or why Alexis, it's only been a couple of months
- 20:36Speaker 5: since since Jocelyn was killed. Can you imagine a mom
- 20:41Speaker 5: standing up and speaking out like she is. It's the
- 20:43Speaker 5: reason she's pouring herself into this is because there's a
- 20:46Speaker 5: chance to change this. There's a chance to prevent the
- 20:50Speaker 5: next victim, the next little girl, the next little boy,
- 20:53Speaker 5: from being killed and Number one, President Trump is promising
- 20:57Speaker 5: as he did before. Look when he was president last time,
- 21:00Speaker 5: I worked hand in hand with him, and we had
- 21:02Speaker 5: incredible success securing the border. We achieved the lowest rate
- 21:08Speaker 5: of illegal immigration in forty five years. It's a very
- 21:11Speaker 5: simple message. We did it before, We'll do it again.
- 21:15Speaker 5: And I think expanding it as he's suggesting to say,
- 21:19Speaker 5: we're going to seize the assets of these criminal gangs,
- 21:22Speaker 5: of these drug cartails, and we're going to use the
- 21:24Speaker 5: assets to compensate the victims and the victims' families. I
- 21:29Speaker 5: think that is fair, that is right, that is just,
- 21:33Speaker 5: and it is the difference between a leader who's actually
- 21:35Speaker 5: trying to keep people safe and what Kamala Harris is doing,
- 21:39Speaker 5: which is putting her own partisan political interest above the
- 21:42Speaker 5: safety and well being of American families.
- 21:46Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 21:47Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 21:50Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 21:53Speaker 1: entire thing.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I want to get back.
- 21:56Speaker 1: To the big story number three of the week you
- 21:58Speaker 1: may have missed. Let me ask you another question, and
- 22:02Speaker 1: this is about people that are really concerned about the
- 22:05Speaker 1: election coming up and we have now got a headline.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And there's two parts of this headline that will drive
- 22:12Speaker 1: you insane. Number one, a Chinese foreign exchange student has
- 22:17Speaker 1: been charged with multiple crimes. That's good news for illegally
- 22:21Speaker 1: voting in Michigan on Sunday. Now again the headline there,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you would think to yourself, well, this is great news.
- 22:29Speaker 1: We had a guy that was illegally voting, we caught him.
- 22:32Speaker 1: It's not going to count. The problem is Michigan can't
- 22:37Speaker 1: and won't disqualify an a legal vote cast by this
- 22:41Speaker 1: Chinese national because quote it's already been put through a tabulator.
- 22:46Speaker 2: So Michigan says, hey, it counts. So there is.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Someone that's going to show up and vote in Michigan
- 22:52Speaker 1: and their voter is going to be canceled out by
- 22:55Speaker 1: a Chinese foreign exchange student that has been charged with
- 22:58Speaker 1: multiple crimes for illegally vote voting. But it still gets
- 23:01Speaker 1: canceled out. And yet Democrats are still sitting there saying
- 23:04Speaker 1: it's racist. If you say you have to show an
- 23:07Speaker 1: ID before you vote.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Well, it's infuriating. And understand why this happened. This happened
- 23:15Speaker 5: because the Democrats in Michigan.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Passed a law.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Their voter ID law allows people to show a current
- 23:21Speaker 5: student photo ID card from an educational institution in order
- 23:26Speaker 5: to vote. Now, the only problem is you don't have
- 23:30Speaker 5: to be an American citizen to get a student ID.
- 23:32Speaker 5: In this case, you had a Chinese national who was
- 23:34Speaker 5: from China. He had a student ID. It could be
- 23:37Speaker 5: a student that's allowed, but Chinese nationals are not allowed
- 23:42Speaker 5: to vote in American elections. And yet this individual did so.
- 23:47Speaker 5: He voted while it was illegal. Two charges against a
- 23:51Speaker 5: nineteen year old student. He was not identified, but he
- 23:54Speaker 5: is not a US citizen and he's being charged. And
- 23:57Speaker 5: the reason that this is happening is because Democrats don't
- 24:03Speaker 5: want you actually to have to prove you're a citizen.
- 24:06Speaker 5: You know, there was legislation called the Save Act, the
- 24:10Speaker 5: Save Act. They voted on it in the House of Representatives,
- 24:13Speaker 5: and the Democrats on essentially a straight party line vote,
- 24:17Speaker 5: Democrat after Democrat after Democrat voted no. The Save Act
- 24:21Speaker 5: was very simple. It said you have to demonstrate, you
- 24:23Speaker 5: have to prove you're a citizen in order to register
- 24:24Speaker 5: to vote. It's common sense, and yet part of the
- 24:28Speaker 5: one of the reasons the Democrats voted no Is. They claimed, Oh,
- 24:31Speaker 5: this is not a problem, no non citizens vote. Well,
- 24:34Speaker 5: tell that to the Chinese national who just voted in Michigan.
- 24:37Speaker 5: And infuriatingly enough, the Michigan officials say, oh, and by
- 24:41Speaker 5: the way, his vote's going to cast it's easy illegal.
- 24:44Speaker 5: He can't vote legally, and yet we've already tabulated his vote.
- 24:48Speaker 5: That's what the Michigan officials are saying. And I'll tell you,
- 24:51Speaker 5: I'll bet you a large sum of money, ben that
- 24:54Speaker 5: the candidate he voted for rhymes with Hamila Icarus. And
- 24:59Speaker 5: yet magically that's going to be included in the vote
- 25:02Speaker 5: to Ellis for Michigan, one of the key swing states.
- 25:06Speaker 5: And that's sadly an outcome I think the Democrats want.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Well, let's go back to the Save Act for a moment.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And this I've heard and had more people come up
- 25:18Speaker 1: to me, and I'm assuming you have as well. But
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm interested to see where people say, Man, I feel
- 25:23Speaker 1: like we're gonna win this one.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I feel like we're on good footing.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I feel like moments this way, unless they cheat, unless
- 25:30Speaker 1: they unless something happens where they cheat, you get a
- 25:33Speaker 1: story like this, and you see that the person was
- 25:36Speaker 1: caught voting illegally. Everybody knows the legal next. Sorry, it
- 25:40Speaker 1: already went through the tabulator. We can't take it out now,
- 25:42Speaker 1: so it's gonna count. This is why so many Americans,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I think now have no confidence in our election system.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And again, this goes back to what you guys try
- 25:53Speaker 1: to do in Congress with a Save Act. Remind people
- 25:57Speaker 1: of how simple that would have been for us to
- 26:00Speaker 1: be able to protect the votes of American citizens.
- 26:05Speaker 5: It was a simple requirement that you have to demonstrate
- 26:07Speaker 5: American citizenship to register to vote. And that's basic common sense,
- 26:11Speaker 5: which is why the Democrats as a party are against it.
- 26:15Speaker 5: If they don't want non citizens to vote, why are
- 26:19Speaker 5: they opposed to demonstrating you're a citizen before you register
- 26:23Speaker 5: to vote. The answer is obvious. But look, here's the
- 26:26Speaker 5: good news. The good news is historically voter fraud is
- 26:30Speaker 5: only mattered at the margins. It's only mattered when it
- 26:33Speaker 5: was close, which means in states across this country, particularly
- 26:37Speaker 5: swing states in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, we got to win
- 26:40Speaker 5: by a big enough margin. They can't steal it. Will
- 26:43Speaker 5: You see unscrupulous Democrats trying to steal votes absolutely. It
- 26:47Speaker 5: has happened every election for as long as we've had elections.
- 26:51Speaker 5: But the best way a we should do what we
- 26:54Speaker 5: can to fight it and prevent it be we should
- 26:56Speaker 5: pass laws to make it more difficult.
- 26:58Speaker 6: But we're four days out.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Real answer now is that we need to turn voters
- 27:02Speaker 5: out in every state in the country and win by
- 27:04Speaker 5: such a big margin that nobody can steal the result.
- 27:08Speaker 5: As Trump puts it, make it too big to rig.
- 27:11Speaker 5: That's got to be at this point. That has got
- 27:13Speaker 5: to be the number one approach.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Senator, final question for you, and this is an election question.
- 27:20Speaker 1: There is massive early voting numbers that are coming in
- 27:25Speaker 1: around the country. There are two thoughts on this, and
- 27:30Speaker 1: we see that women in swing states are outpacing men
- 27:34Speaker 1: by about ten percent when it comes to the votes
- 27:37Speaker 1: that are coming in early voting. Democrats say this is great.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It means that women are showing up and they're voting
- 27:44Speaker 1: on the issue of abortion, which means they're going to
- 27:45Speaker 1: vote for Kamwa Harris and other Democrats. And then there's others.
- 27:49Speaker 1: That's a hold on a second, not so fast. Conservatives
- 27:52Speaker 1: are voting earlier now and a lot of single mothers
- 27:55Speaker 1: may be voting early, and a lot of mothers are
- 27:58Speaker 1: struggling with the economy. What is your gut on this,
- 28:01Speaker 1: because I don't think it's a bunch of people showing
- 28:03Speaker 1: up on the abortion issue.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Well, look, I think it probably varies state by state,
- 28:08Speaker 5: and so I don't know the data. In the swing states.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I will say right now, there is a real and
- 28:16Speaker 5: meaningful gender gap in terms of the votes that if
- 28:20Speaker 5: you look at it, Republicans right now are winning married men,
- 28:24Speaker 5: Republicans are winning single men, and Republicans are winning married women. However,
- 28:29Speaker 5: Republicans are badly losing single women, that is in terms
- 28:33Speaker 5: of national polling. So one of the questions that I
- 28:38Speaker 5: would have, and this is where it's hard to generalize
- 28:41Speaker 5: from data without knowing specifics, but I would be very
- 28:44Speaker 5: interested in the states where you're seeing a significantly larger
- 28:47Speaker 5: number of women than men showing up early. I would
- 28:50Speaker 5: be very interested in the breakdown between married women, married women,
- 28:54Speaker 5: and single women, because there's a significant difference in their
- 28:57Speaker 5: voting pattern. I can tell you also, at least in
- 28:59Speaker 5: the state of Texas where early voting is happening, we're
- 29:02Speaker 5: not seeing a significant differential between women and men. We're
- 29:06Speaker 5: seeing about equal numbers of both voting in the state
- 29:08Speaker 5: of Texas. I don't know about the other states. I
- 29:11Speaker 5: haven't studied the numbers there, but it is difficult to generalize. Look,
- 29:16Speaker 5: it's possible if you get a bunch of single women
- 29:19Speaker 5: who are voting Democrats showing up in large numbers, that
- 29:22Speaker 5: is a good data point for Kamala Harris. I don't
- 29:25Speaker 5: know if that's the case or not. It may be
- 29:27Speaker 5: that you have a bunch of conservative women, you have
- 29:29Speaker 5: a bunch of married women who are coming out to
- 29:31Speaker 5: vote for Donald Trump. You were right that Republicans are
- 29:34Speaker 5: voting early and significantly greater frequency than they did previously,
- 29:39Speaker 5: and I think one of the big reasons for that
- 29:41Speaker 5: is that Trump asked them to and the Republican Party
- 29:44Speaker 5: is making a very concerted effort to encourage people to
- 29:47Speaker 5: vote early. So that one data point on its own,
- 29:50Speaker 5: it's hard to generalize about. You really need to drill
- 29:53Speaker 5: down more deeply into the data.
- 29:55Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Center,
