- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show to date. Um. I
- 2:15Speaker 1: wanted to give you something that I've been learning more
- 2:18Speaker 1: and more um lately. Um. You know I'm a I'm
- 2:23Speaker 1: a huge fan of the book The Secret. But I
- 2:27Speaker 1: did myself a favor because I know I learned better
- 2:30Speaker 1: this way. I learned better about hearing, and so I
- 2:35Speaker 1: downloaded The Secret onto my iPhone. So I got the
- 2:40Speaker 1: audio book and man on man on man, What a
- 2:43Speaker 1: smart move that really was for me because I know
- 2:46Speaker 1: how I learned. You know, I do very well with
- 2:49Speaker 1: visual when I can see what it is that I'm
- 2:54Speaker 1: after how to do something, I do it better, And
- 2:56Speaker 1: when I'm listening, I just I learned better. Like that.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I wish I had known that about myself in college
- 3:04Speaker 1: and stuff like that, where I didn't do so well.
- 3:06Speaker 1: If I could have learned that that's the way I learned,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I would have used more tools to help me. But um,
- 3:13Speaker 1: let's let's just say I figured it out. And so
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm grateful for that, and and and and I was
- 3:20Speaker 1: listening to the audio portion of this book, and I've
- 3:22Speaker 1: been learning so much more. I've rephrased a lot of
- 3:25Speaker 1: it to fit how I think and more of how
- 3:27Speaker 1: I talk. And I just wanted to share that with
- 3:30Speaker 1: you this morning. Man. It might help you out a
- 3:32Speaker 1: great deal. And one of the things that my mother
- 3:35Speaker 1: had always taught me. And because it's a it's a
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's a spiritual thing with my mother's it's a biblical
- 3:41Speaker 1: reference to my mother. Uh And and the book The
- 3:44Speaker 1: Secret grabbed that principle and uses it very well. And
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's gratitude. I want to run this by you every
- 3:52Speaker 1: every day. You know what I started doing. I started
- 3:56Speaker 1: spending my every waking moment being thankful showing gratitude. Now,
- 4:04Speaker 1: the book it says to put that out there in
- 4:06Speaker 1: the universe. But if you're waking up and you're saying
- 4:09Speaker 1: thank you, I mean who you're saying thank you too?
- 4:12Speaker 1: I mean, let's let's let's be real here that that
- 4:15Speaker 1: universe was created by God. That is my belief. That's
- 4:18Speaker 1: the majority of people's belief that I know. I'm not
- 4:20Speaker 1: knocking you. If you don't believe that, do you let
- 4:22Speaker 1: me know how they work out for you, though. But
- 4:25Speaker 1: so my thank you is to my heavenly Father, as
- 4:29Speaker 1: is a lot of yours. But here's the here's here's
- 4:32Speaker 1: the thing. I started saying thank you from the time
- 4:36Speaker 1: I wake up un till I go in the bathroom,
- 4:40Speaker 1: till I shower, till I dress, until I get in
- 4:46Speaker 1: my van, till I get to work while I'm on
- 4:51Speaker 1: the elevator, until I sit down and crack the mic. Now, somebody,
- 4:56Speaker 1: somebody might say, man, that's a lot of time. Not
- 4:59Speaker 1: not hold up, Man, hold hold up is really not,
- 5:03Speaker 1: because what it does for you, it does more for
- 5:06Speaker 1: you than for anyone else. This is about you showing
- 5:10Speaker 1: gratitude and being grateful. It's for you, And let me
- 5:14Speaker 1: tell you what it does. When I started doing this, man,
- 5:18Speaker 1: it started changing my day. It started changing my attitude
- 5:24Speaker 1: towards the day. So when the difficulties of the day began,
- 5:28Speaker 1: they were nothing to me because I was so filled
- 5:31Speaker 1: with gratitude. I'm talking about continuous thanks for all things.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You cannot run out of things to be grateful for,
- 5:40Speaker 1: not if you fine tune your gratitude, Not if you
- 5:43Speaker 1: do it in a way where you're being very specific
- 5:47Speaker 1: about what you're grateful for. When you wake up and
- 5:50Speaker 1: you're grateful for waking up, when you're grateful for the
- 5:53Speaker 1: ability to move to day, when you are grateful for
- 5:56Speaker 1: the fact that you have solid thoughts right now, that
- 6:00Speaker 1: you are in your right mind. When you start thanking
- 6:04Speaker 1: him for the flexibility that you feel in the morning
- 6:07Speaker 1: and the stiffness and as it wears off as you
- 6:10Speaker 1: start moving around, that's another reason to be grateful that
- 6:13Speaker 1: you have a shower to take that there are many
- 6:16Speaker 1: people who don't have a place to shower, that the
- 6:20Speaker 1: fact that you're brushing your teeth, the fact that you
- 6:23Speaker 1: have somewhere to go, the fact that your job may
- 6:26Speaker 1: not be ideally the job you want, but you have
- 6:29Speaker 1: a job to go to, that you have a measure
- 6:32Speaker 1: of health, that you have a place to go and
- 6:34Speaker 1: get over cool drink of water to start your day,
- 6:38Speaker 1: or you can make a cup of coffee, or the
- 6:39Speaker 1: fact that you can grab yourself a yogat on the
- 6:42Speaker 1: way out the door. And the fact that you have
- 6:44Speaker 1: a way to get to work, whether it's on the subway,
- 6:46Speaker 1: the bus, the cab, or you have the h the
- 6:50Speaker 1: wherewithal to walk to work or you driving to work,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and whatever kind of card is that you have a
- 6:55Speaker 1: place to be to provide when you start really fine
- 7:01Speaker 1: tuning your gratitude, it is amazing, man. And what it
- 7:06Speaker 1: does is it puts you in a in a state
- 7:09Speaker 1: of mind that is so uplifting to you that it
- 7:13Speaker 1: is the perfect way to start your day. I'll think
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm clowning what you here. I am not. Try it.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Try it. You are what you think. So you start
- 7:25Speaker 1: the day off as this grateful creature, this grateful person,
- 7:30Speaker 1: this grateful soul. You start your day off as grateful
- 7:35Speaker 1: man on man on man. How good is that? And
- 7:38Speaker 1: it just spirals throughout your day and it puts you
- 7:41Speaker 1: in a great mood. My mood has totally changed I'm
- 7:45Speaker 1: not a bad mood person anyway, but you know, when
- 7:49Speaker 1: my day started getting heavy, man, sometimes it gets on
- 7:53Speaker 1: me man, because I mean, I'm from the time I
- 7:55Speaker 1: wake up till I go home at night. Can you
- 7:59Speaker 1: amad and having somebody move you around all day? What
- 8:04Speaker 1: it would feel like to have somebody making you accountable
- 8:08Speaker 1: for every single moment of your day, the moment you
- 8:11Speaker 1: stopped to take a breath. Somebody finds that as an
- 8:14Speaker 1: opportunity to spend a moment with you because to them,
- 8:18Speaker 1: it's just a minute, but they don't know all the
- 8:21Speaker 1: minutes that's occupied in your day. Imagine that. So it
- 8:27Speaker 1: used to get on me real heavy sometimes, man. So
- 8:30Speaker 1: I try to steal some minutes here, steal some minutes there,
- 8:34Speaker 1: steal But now, man it it don't jump on me
- 8:38Speaker 1: that way, you know what I'm saying. I look, I
- 8:41Speaker 1: gotta take some time to myself throughout the day. So
- 8:43Speaker 1: as soon as I get off the air, I take
- 8:44Speaker 1: a twenty minute break before I go to my brief
- 8:47Speaker 1: and to start my talk show. Uh you say, twenty
- 8:50Speaker 1: minutes ain't nothing. It ain't, but it's all I got
- 8:53Speaker 1: and I use it to shut myself down. Meditate, have
- 8:56Speaker 1: a quiet moment, become even more thankful then and after
- 9:00Speaker 1: the show is over, I got another briefing that I do.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I even I even have my lunch during the briefing.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I don't have a lunch where I sit down and
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm in my room talking cheerful stuff. I'm doing the
- 9:14Speaker 1: briefing for the second show that I taped that day.
- 9:17Speaker 1: During my life. But I'm grateful for that. I'm grateful
- 9:20Speaker 1: for everything because, man, I have a show too that
- 9:25Speaker 1: keeps me busy. I have a radio show that keeps
- 9:27Speaker 1: me busy. I got another TV. I'm just grateful for
- 9:31Speaker 1: all of it. Man. And what happens is, let me
- 9:33Speaker 1: let me share this with you. It changes your focus
- 9:38Speaker 1: because now your focus is not on what you don't have.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Your focus is on what you do have. Do you
- 9:46Speaker 1: understand that amazing turnaround in your life if you can
- 9:48Speaker 1: make that when folks, if your focus became on the
- 9:52Speaker 1: things that you do have and your focus leaves the
- 9:55Speaker 1: things that you don't have. Do you know the feeling
- 9:59Speaker 1: of accomplishment, the feeling of satisfied us satisfication, the feeling
- 10:05Speaker 1: of being feel and half empty and half full is
- 10:12Speaker 1: two different thoughts. It's amazing when you start thinking your
- 10:15Speaker 1: life is almost full, so full, instead of looking at
- 10:18Speaker 1: it as being so empty. When you change that focus
- 10:22Speaker 1: through gratitude, you then open up the pathways for more
- 10:26Speaker 1: stuff to come to you. A lot of us are
- 10:29Speaker 1: blocking our blessings today because we ain't grateful for the
- 10:32Speaker 1: ones we have. See, we're so busy, we're so busy
- 10:35Speaker 1: telling God and putting out in the universe what we
- 10:38Speaker 1: don't have, what we ain't God, that we no longer
- 10:42Speaker 1: are receptive to things that we could have. You have
- 10:47Speaker 1: now blocked all your blessings from coming because your focus
- 10:51Speaker 1: is not on the come, it's to what you ain't got.
- 10:56Speaker 1: So how can more blessings come your way? How can
- 10:59Speaker 1: more good things come your way? How can positive things
- 11:01Speaker 1: start happening to you? If your focus is on the
- 11:04Speaker 1: negative things, if your focus is on the things that
- 11:07Speaker 1: you don't have, if your focus is on what you're
- 11:10Speaker 1: lacking instead of what the abundance that you have and
- 11:15Speaker 1: what you expect more of. If you change your gratitude,
- 11:21Speaker 1: you change your attitude and it changes your altitude. Man, Man,
- 11:33Speaker 1: use your gratitude to change your attitude, which then affects
- 11:39Speaker 1: your altitude. Do you feel me? Now? Come on, man,
- 11:46Speaker 1: ain't that a good thing? I've had to rework it
- 11:49Speaker 1: through the way I say it, but man, that's been
- 11:51Speaker 1: so helpful for me every day. Start your data way.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Just try try it starting now, or you want to
- 11:57Speaker 1: get a fresh start during tomorrow morning. But watch what
- 12:00Speaker 1: happens to you. Okay, it's going to amazingly revolutionize the
- 12:04Speaker 1: way you face your day. Okay, you're listening Steve Harvey.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Here we go, Steve Harvey Morning Show Live always in
- 12:18Speaker 1: living color. That's it color. What happened? You got distracted?
- 12:28Speaker 1: Now you know what I'm gonna do? Watch this right here.
- 12:31Speaker 1: You know, I just wanted to say, you know, hey, guys,
- 12:33Speaker 1: let's just learn how to take jokes. Okay, okay, let's
- 12:37Speaker 1: just just just learn how to take a joke. Day.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You're not talking to us because we know no. Let
- 12:44Speaker 1: you just all take a joke today. I take one,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'll take It's all funny games. You're just in here,
- 12:51Speaker 1: kid and loving each other, having a good time. So
- 12:54Speaker 1: everybody's name I said on the radio yesterday was all
- 12:57Speaker 1: just a joke. We're just joking, having a good time.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Just relax, guys, nothing wrong, lots of love to everybody.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Just kidding yesterday yesterday about today. Yeah, man, gonna be
- 13:18Speaker 1: ignorant today. They don't do it. Let's do it right here, man,
- 13:22Speaker 1: because yesterday you were taxes. You know, I copy, it's gone,
- 13:32Speaker 1: You're good, shake it off. One of the mistake. I
- 13:40Speaker 1: just go yeah, I just go through this with saying,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you know, we don't. We don't have a little hate relationship.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It's just a hate relation hate and that's not a
- 13:53Speaker 1: little relationship. What would you do with all this extra
- 13:56Speaker 1: money you didn't have to pay tax? Yeah? We have
- 13:59Speaker 1: second question yesterday that was a question that for real,
- 14:02Speaker 1: that was a question. Let's hear it. Boy, we did
- 14:10Speaker 1: that too. Who oh man, let me see God, I
- 14:21Speaker 1: have so much aye bye aye, by at least two
- 14:25Speaker 1: more cribs. Yeah, real estate, you can't go wrong. And
- 14:31Speaker 1: what city, Steve, what you probably get something in Florida
- 14:36Speaker 1: state taxes and all. It's all still about taxes. Ye, Nevada.
- 14:45Speaker 1: But it's hard living Nevada because it's so damn hot.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It's got great golf out there. I wouldn't mind living
- 14:51Speaker 1: in the Battle though. Oh that's the only reason it's
- 14:54Speaker 1: hard to live there the way you like to gamble.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Come on, well, yeah, I'm not really gambler like that
- 15:00Speaker 1: an more. I'm not gonna be out there losing my
- 15:03Speaker 1: damn savings. Now, I don't know. I don't go out
- 15:08Speaker 1: there and become that guy. But you know, I probably
- 15:12Speaker 1: get a place in Florida. That's in Florida. I'll probably
- 15:17Speaker 1: get Marjorie something in Paris, play over past, and then
- 15:23Speaker 1: I probably get all that's so nice. I get her
- 15:28Speaker 1: that in past because she loved it over that creb
- 15:31Speaker 1: over that night, so much life, nice apartment. But actually security,
- 15:37Speaker 1: give me a couple of things. So this watch I'm
- 15:41Speaker 1: gonna get. Man. Oh, okay, you have like about fifty
- 15:47Speaker 1: don't you that? He don't know? But how much did
- 15:57Speaker 1: he mail off? My how state bought all those house
- 16:08Speaker 1: You could have bought us a house? You talk about
- 16:10Speaker 1: you get a house? Do you get a house? What
- 16:15Speaker 1: like that? Steve y'all colt all good houses. Yeah, that's
- 16:20Speaker 1: what I sent off yesterday. That ain't f good. That's
- 16:24Speaker 1: why you had to lie down. I'm not feeling. But
- 16:28Speaker 1: I just kept looking at that tax return. I didn't
- 16:32Speaker 1: want to go in there and get that check. Man.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I turned at least you had it, Yeah, because you
- 16:40Speaker 1: have to sign it and then it's like the tax
- 16:42Speaker 1: preparer to sign. You're looking at them anyway. Yeah, but
- 16:49Speaker 1: that's why I do that with the extra money. Man.
- 16:53Speaker 1: A lot of people are spending money on plastic surgery, Steve.
- 16:57Speaker 1: A lot of people not going, no, I got I
- 17:00Speaker 1: ain't got nothing I need. You know, my lips. It's
- 17:02Speaker 1: what they isn't what they are? I said, you said they.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I just said they are what they are. That's who
- 17:12Speaker 1: I have tools blue are. I don't even know. It's
- 17:27Speaker 1: a lot of rules. I just know that that's a
- 17:31Speaker 1: rude blue two lips. He is. Okay, so you're good.
- 17:40Speaker 1: You're good, But a lot of people are. Yeah. See
- 17:42Speaker 1: think about it, j Yeah, that's who man. It's just
- 17:48Speaker 1: make the rule apply to what you're talking. What you're saying.
- 17:51Speaker 1: That here, what you're saying, this is who we follow
- 17:54Speaker 1: right here. They want to follow you. They told me
- 17:59Speaker 1: nowhere call it. Do you want to Tom Junior diving
- 18:08Speaker 1: out the next winter? I see, Charlotte. The only want
- 18:12Speaker 1: to follow you, Shelly your fallow Tommy, Why do you
- 18:16Speaker 1: always do this to me? Because you're you're the biggest
- 18:20Speaker 1: lie on the show. No, I'm not. I got another answer,
- 18:25Speaker 1: ask me, I'm not Okay, okay, okay, you are Okay,
- 18:30Speaker 1: I know I'm the biggest lie. Yeah. Second, but I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe true? That may be true. Would you
- 18:37Speaker 1: follow Tommy as a lead on this show? What we do?
- 18:41Speaker 1: We do when you're not tomic? What I'm here? We
- 18:46Speaker 1: deal when you're not here? What falls that quick coming?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Would you follow Thomas? Huh heard me tell me it's
- 18:54Speaker 1: my friend call it? Would you follow Tommy? I will
- 19:00Speaker 1: get in my car and drive and ride off right there,
- 19:12Speaker 1: just supposed to. That's cold. Let me ask you this,
- 19:21Speaker 1: what Tommy? Yes? Would you follow you? Yes? Yourself? You'll
- 19:32Speaker 1: still you'll still follow you? Yes to follow me? Hey,
- 19:40Speaker 1: coming up, I think I want to reconsider my answer.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Coming out Pastor Motown Deacon deaf Jam coming up next.

- 39:00Speaker 1: show anyway, this is enter but the news. I mean,
- 39:03Speaker 1: this is so weird. Okay, yes, it's official. Fox News
- 39:05Speaker 1: TV host Bill O'Reilly, I know you've heard. He's out
- 39:08Speaker 1: following reports of allegations that he sexually harassed several women
- 39:11Speaker 1: at the right wing cable operation. The channel's parent company,
- 39:14Speaker 1: twenty one Century Fox, has issued a statement saying in
- 39:16Speaker 1: part that after a thorough and careful review of the allegations,
- 39:19Speaker 1: the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly
- 39:22Speaker 1: would not be returning to the Fox News channel. O'ronnie
- 39:25Speaker 1: was Fox's highest rated host. Congressman Maxine Waters tell CNN
- 39:29Speaker 1: she's thrilled. I hope he's seeks some help, uh, And
- 39:32Speaker 1: I hope that the women who have come forward feel
- 39:35Speaker 1: good about the justice that they're receiving. This is an
- 39:39Speaker 1: era of women who are fed up with being taken
- 39:42Speaker 1: advantage of, particularly in the workplace. Only a few months ago,
- 39:46Speaker 1: Fox News Channel founder and chairman Roger Ales was false
- 39:48Speaker 1: staff for staff due to similar allegations of sexual harassment.
- 39:53Speaker 1: The U. S. S Department issuing a strong warning to
- 39:55Speaker 1: the nation's so called sanctuary cities, or municipalities where illegal
- 39:58Speaker 1: aliens are not routie only turned into immigration officials. The
- 40:02Speaker 1: new Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, is threatening to withhold federal
- 40:04Speaker 1: grant money from the police departments in those cities. Twenty
- 40:08Speaker 1: two years ago. This week, a domestic terrorist named Timothy
- 40:11Speaker 1: McVeigh drove a truck and filled with explosives into a
- 40:13Speaker 1: federal building in Oklahoma City, killing one hundred and sixty
- 40:17Speaker 1: eight people, many of them children who were attending the
- 40:19Speaker 1: daycare center on the second flour of that building. The
- 40:22Speaker 1: names of the dead were read aloud yesterday at the
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oklahoma City bombing memorial site. The memorial park features rows
- 40:27Speaker 1: of empty chairs, one for each person murdered that morning. Yesterday,
- 40:31Speaker 1: each chair was occupied by a single rose. The family
- 40:35Speaker 1: of former New England Patriots tied end Aaron Hernandez, calling
- 40:38Speaker 1: for an independent investigation to his death. Hernandez found hanging
- 40:41Speaker 1: in his prison cell early yesterday morning in Massachusetts, where
- 40:45Speaker 1: he'd been serving a sentence of life without parole. His
- 40:48Speaker 1: lawyer hasn't ruled out the possibility of Hernandez was murdered
- 40:50Speaker 1: by one of his fellow inmates, or maybe someone who
- 40:53Speaker 1: works at the prison. Massachusetts police are investigating. By the way,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Hernandez's death came on the same day that his former
- 40:59Speaker 1: te was welcomed at the White House. It was the
- 41:01Speaker 1: fifth time the Patriots had been invited to the White
- 41:03Speaker 1: House for winning the Super Bowl, but this was the
- 41:05Speaker 1: first time for President Trump to host them, and Patriots
- 41:08Speaker 1: owner Robert Krafft was ecstatic. It's a distinct honor for
- 41:12Speaker 1: us to celebrate what was unequivocally our Swedish championship with
- 41:17Speaker 1: a very good friend and somebody whose mental toughness and strength.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Every players who not Trump admirers, they skipped the trip.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Tom Brady skipped it, but he's a Trump supporter. He
- 41:29Speaker 1: said he missed it for personal family reasons. And finally,
- 41:33Speaker 1: Serena Williams already already lovely, but now it's confirmed she
- 41:37Speaker 1: is preggers. That's right, she's got that special glow going.
- 41:40Speaker 1: She took a picture of herself standing sideways with a
- 41:42Speaker 1: caption twenty weeks yesterday, a possible reference to pregnancy, and
- 41:45Speaker 1: her people have now confirmed and she's engaged to the
- 41:48Speaker 1: co founder of Reddit, Alexis o'hanion. Now back to Steve
- 41:52Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Okay, good, let's move on. Thank you,
- 41:56Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you. Than all right, here
- 41:59Speaker 1: we go with our question of the week. Who is
- 42:01Speaker 1: the untouchable coworker? They don't ever get in trouble. They
- 42:05Speaker 1: do stupid stuff, but they never get fired. Do you
- 42:08Speaker 1: have a coworker that says things like I dared them
- 42:11Speaker 1: to come fire me, call us and tell us about
- 42:14Speaker 1: the situation? Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, you're listening
- 42:19Speaker 1: to coming up next, the Butterfly, Eugene all old meal
- 42:27Speaker 1: m because I don't know what it is, but it's
- 42:29Speaker 1: all could be a combination of the team with good morning,
- 42:42Speaker 1: Good morning, Stephen, Timey Shirley College Jr. Good morning to
- 42:46Speaker 1: ah good morning. Everyone. Everyone is spoken except for you, Stephen.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Good morning. Oh what's up? Doubt? Come on, you know
- 43:00Speaker 1: I don't don't the dog thing. You know how don't
- 43:03Speaker 1: do that good morning all you want because that's enough
- 43:07Speaker 1: reference I make to other brothers. Now I'm I'm you know,
- 43:13Speaker 1: one of the other brothers, but I'm not no doubt.
- 43:15Speaker 1: This don't come me no doubt because Butterfly say what's up? Butterfly?
- 43:19Speaker 1: Yeah you can do that. That should work. But anyway,
- 43:24Speaker 1: here's the blog today. It's all about watering. Alright, So Stephen,
- 43:29Speaker 1: listen to this and right, um, I water you, you
- 43:35Speaker 1: water me, and we grow together. How does that sound
- 43:41Speaker 1: that sounds, Stephen? Yeah it sounds corny. I water you,
- 43:48Speaker 1: you water me, and we grow together. It's water similar
- 43:54Speaker 1: to what what do you mean, wax? It's just watering, Stephen.
- 44:04Speaker 1: You know, I pour feelings and thoughts and emotions into you.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You parted them into me. We grow together. Yeah, that's another.
- 44:14Speaker 1: But we should do more watering each other. It'll be
- 44:17Speaker 1: something for our friendship for like like build each other up. Yes,
- 44:25Speaker 1: it's about building each other up. But why you Why
- 44:27Speaker 1: do I want to throw dirt? It's too much dirt
- 44:29Speaker 1: throwing as it is. We should we should be trying
- 44:31Speaker 1: to lift each other up. So that's what I mean.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I want to I want to water you. I want
- 44:35Speaker 1: you to water me and we grow together. I don't
- 44:38Speaker 1: want them there you go, what would you would those ward?
- 44:46Speaker 1: It's not about throwing no whatnow? What do you whoa
- 44:52Speaker 1: to me? First of all? What I want the ward?
- 44:53Speaker 1: I go in there, give me the ward by about
- 44:57Speaker 1: but watering over here? Watering? O? What get you some water?
- 45:01Speaker 1: Bug you and grow your silk. You're missing on her point?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I waters again? You ate. It's the water mate, right there,
- 45:13Speaker 1: Water your silk, row your self. That's it. Probably would
- 45:17Speaker 1: you look at somebody else to grow you and grow
- 45:19Speaker 1: your sil with water your silk and get you get
- 45:22Speaker 1: your get your own, sell what you need to grow?
- 45:27Speaker 1: Fairly corny? Do you guys get where I'm coming from? Yeah? Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 1: Like the guys never seemed to be on my side.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'm always trying to be a team player and be
- 45:39Speaker 1: one of the boys. But they never want to jump in.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Junior Tommy Stephen. They never want to jump in and
- 45:44Speaker 1: be a part of what I'm saying. But as soon
- 45:47Speaker 1: as he says something, it's choco chocolate and they like
- 45:49Speaker 1: everything he's bringing out. I ain't got the water of Steve.
- 45:54Speaker 1: He already anything me and say, y'all just praise it.
- 45:57Speaker 1: It's it's our glorified then. But thing that I say something,
- 46:01Speaker 1: it's round. What's wrong with giving each other some good
- 46:04Speaker 1: spirit of watering to each other? What's wrong with that?
- 46:07Speaker 1: Because it don't feel right? Eugene. Yeah, that's why we
- 46:11Speaker 1: don't do. We don't want. But don't you guys, don't
- 46:14Speaker 1: you guys encourage one another? Stay strong? Brother yea. Now
- 46:20Speaker 1: see that's but that's watering. And did you talk about you? Now?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Not dial again? Now that's not okay. We'll just water us,
- 46:35Speaker 1: water you, butterfly, the ladies and we can grow together.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But I see I feel myself growing apart from them. Yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 1: on the real you never would over here in order
- 46:49Speaker 1: to be growing up. We all had been a girl
- 46:52Speaker 1: at one point and I didn't. That's what you got
- 46:53Speaker 1: it wrong? You see and see that see how he
- 46:58Speaker 1: praised him? Yeah, apt Anyway, coming up thirty four after
- 47:04Speaker 1: the hour, I guess up either take cars of back
- 47:07Speaker 1: their back jams or whatever. But I'm thinking this job.
- 47:12Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. But in
- 47:16Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, question in a week, who
- 47:20Speaker 1: is your untouchable cowork describe them. They don't ever get
- 47:26Speaker 1: in trouble. They do stupid stuff, they don't get fired.
- 47:29Speaker 1: They're short, they're short. They say things like I dare
- 47:33Speaker 1: them to fire me. I'm gonna tell my uncle. I
- 47:38Speaker 1: can't say their ws. Yeah, we have one for sure,
- 47:43Speaker 1: and everybody thinks to say, I'm teable. Well he's still here.
- 47:52Speaker 1: He should have been fired. Yeah, alright, A question of
- 48:03Speaker 1: the week. Who's the untouchable co worker at your job?
- 48:06Speaker 1: They don't ever get in trouble, you know, the one.
- 48:08Speaker 1: They do stupid stuff, but they never get fired. Do
- 48:11Speaker 1: you have a coworker who says they was like I
- 48:14Speaker 1: dare them to fire me. Call us and tell us
- 48:16Speaker 1: about your situation. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, let's
- 48:20Speaker 1: go to the phones at line one. Elizabeth out of Georgia. Hey, Elizabeth,
- 48:26Speaker 1: who was this co worker? I can't say his name
- 48:29Speaker 1: because I'm still work with it. We're understand that, but
- 48:32Speaker 1: tell us about it. Well, he's been with the company
- 48:35Speaker 1: for well on, an office company for four years. Um.
- 48:39Speaker 1: The first time he left on his own and came back.
- 48:42Speaker 1: The second time he was fighting, you know, he went
- 48:44Speaker 1: on vacation, was post go on vacation for a week
- 48:47Speaker 1: to decide he wanted to take an extra week. Nobody
- 48:50Speaker 1: heard from her or anything. Walks back into the business,
- 48:54Speaker 1: you know, like everything is okay. Um, I just I
- 48:57Speaker 1: just knew for sure he was gonna be fired right
- 48:59Speaker 1: then on the spot and everything. Oh no, next day
- 49:02Speaker 1: he was back to work. And he still does the
- 49:04Speaker 1: exact same thing today. Late whenever he comes from me,
- 49:07Speaker 1: he gets ready, he gets there, you know, everybody's pups
- 49:10Speaker 1: to jump and dance his own music. I'm like, no, no,
- 49:14Speaker 1: wait a minute, let's let's not make hasty decision. Do
- 49:17Speaker 1: you think he's probably going through some things and just
- 49:19Speaker 1: needed some extra time? Are you serious? Work? We have
- 49:28Speaker 1: jobs in the Are you serious? I mean, have you
- 49:32Speaker 1: have you considered that he might be going through some
- 49:35Speaker 1: issues or something. I'm pretty sure he has issues, but
- 49:38Speaker 1: that has nothing to do with while you're late every
- 49:40Speaker 1: day and when you get there and pose a move
- 49:42Speaker 1: quickly and six up your room for you so you
- 49:44Speaker 1: can't hurry you even get in with your client. Yeah, yeah, expeditiously.
- 49:49Speaker 1: But what I'm saying is you don't have you taken
- 49:52Speaker 1: time to consider or have you taken time to at
- 49:54Speaker 1: least investigate to see what idiots he's possibly going through
- 49:58Speaker 1: that might make him late in. You know, we don't care.
- 50:03Speaker 1: At one time, at one time after his assistant manager.
- 50:06Speaker 1: At one time I did, but when it got to
- 50:10Speaker 1: be you're doing it too much. And I mean if
- 50:13Speaker 1: I if it was up to me, I wouldn't know.
- 50:16Speaker 1: If I could fire him and never hire him again,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I would, But of course I work under management. So
- 50:23Speaker 1: do you do you do you like him as a person?
- 50:27Speaker 1: He's fine, Miss Elizabeth. You say he does one again.
- 50:33Speaker 1: He just comes in what he wants to. He comes
- 50:36Speaker 1: when he wants to. I've gotten to the point that
- 50:39Speaker 1: when I'm scheduled or when I'm working, I don't look
- 50:42Speaker 1: him any clients unless I see his face. That is
- 50:45Speaker 1: just ridiculous. I only one has a Tommy on their job. Elizabeth,
- 50:52Speaker 1: everything sure that I thought she worked hit though. On
- 50:57Speaker 1: the seventh flow, I thought you said, can you come
- 51:01Speaker 1: down so I can meet you? Because I know what
- 51:02Speaker 1: you're talking about? Time did that? Oh God, how are
- 51:07Speaker 1: you unless unless Time me is a massige therapist on
- 51:11Speaker 1: the side. No, I'm not talking about prim No, that's
- 51:18Speaker 1: why he like, Oh lord, oh my gosh, you're just
- 51:23Speaker 1: giving him all kind of leeway. No, no excuses, no acceptance. No,
- 51:29Speaker 1: because he's a masseuse on the side, Is that what
- 51:32Speaker 1: you're telling me. No, he is a massige therapist. He's
- 51:35Speaker 1: a massage job. Listen, Lizabeth, lets just look at this.
- 51:39Speaker 1: He probably massage and some people and then got out
- 51:42Speaker 1: of hand one thing that led to another. It's gonna
- 51:45Speaker 1: be some days he come in there late. That's some
- 51:47Speaker 1: things you ought to understand. You don't see that. No, No,
- 51:51Speaker 1: I have clients that he needs to attend to at
- 51:54Speaker 1: our place of business. What you do, go, I'm sorry,
- 52:00Speaker 1: Well he does outside of where we work together. I
- 52:04Speaker 1: have nothing to do with that. You need to be
- 52:06Speaker 1: in the building on time every day. But have you
- 52:10Speaker 1: considered that maybe he taking his work home with him.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Maybe he massage to people at the high that's his business.
- 52:17Speaker 1: When he does outside of the business, has nothing to
- 52:20Speaker 1: do with You've been on time to work. Not only there.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I just thought about something else. And when he does
- 52:25Speaker 1: come in, if we like, if he gets a late client,
- 52:29Speaker 1: now we're stilled to close at seven. If he gets
- 52:31Speaker 1: a late client, like six o'clock, the client is paying
- 52:34Speaker 1: for an hour's service. He feels as I give him
- 52:36Speaker 1: an extra thirty minutes or so, they'll took me more. Um,
- 52:40Speaker 1: you know, basically he's inconsiderate of the front desk time
- 52:44Speaker 1: or whoever is closing that night, Like, Okay, they're just
- 52:46Speaker 1: gonna have to wait until I'm doing it. It's ridicumous,
- 52:50Speaker 1: like right if I own the business, you know. Yeah,
- 52:56Speaker 1: you're just a professional, Elizabeth, that's all that's Yeah. It's like,
- 53:00Speaker 1: I mean, what are you trying to go in the evening?
- 53:02Speaker 1: Why you can't wait a little while long? Where is it?
- 53:06Speaker 1: What is it that you got to do? I mean,
- 53:09Speaker 1: what iss are between senning seven or between sending eight?
- 53:16Speaker 1: After that? I don't know. You can't give us another
- 53:21Speaker 1: thirty minutes till he gets through so he can finish
- 53:24Speaker 1: with stupid ours. You know what I realized. You know what,
- 53:32Speaker 1: I realized You're hard to work with. You're listening to
- 53:37Speaker 1: Steve Hardy morning shouting coming up at the top of
- 53:46Speaker 1: that we got strawberry letter, but come on food, what
- 53:49Speaker 1: you got? Ye lost diamond? The schif lost diamond and

- 54:51Speaker 1: that he his diamond of his wedding ring actually came
- 54:55Speaker 1: out in the food, and he's saying he's almost certain

- 55:26Speaker 1: I'm the only person that order mashed potatoes. I mean,
- 55:28Speaker 1: what's gonna come on, man, he's pretty certain that it's
- 55:32Speaker 1: in the serving that you actually had on your plate.

- 55:38Speaker 1: But you're telling me bous. You're calling me bout some mash.

- 55:44Speaker 1: plate only. I mean, y'all make massed potatoes, per on
- 55:48Speaker 1: us something. I mean, come on, man, you make a
- 55:50Speaker 1: large order of mashed potatoes, sir, Godic massed potatoes. What
- 55:53Speaker 1: we're saying is that he's almost certain that I guess
- 55:57Speaker 1: preparing your plate, that he thinks that came out there
- 56:00Speaker 1: and got lost in the mashed potatoes he should have
- 56:02Speaker 1: had on girls anyway. I mean, I'm I ain't ain't

- 56:27Speaker 1: a big diamond. It was less than less than uh
- 56:30Speaker 1: fourth of a carrot. But it is dear to its hard.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Maybe you can actually help us out with this whole situation.

- 56:53Speaker 1: I not to diamond. You can't diamond? Do we want to?
- 57:00Speaker 1: What we want to do is we just want to
- 57:01Speaker 1: be certain and here's what we would like to do,
- 57:02Speaker 1: and hopefully you can help us out with it. Is
- 57:04Speaker 1: it possible you can put your weight in the bag
- 57:08Speaker 1: and bring it up to the restaurant and we'll we'll
- 57:10Speaker 1: sort through it and try to see if the diamond

- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Here's the only last thing I need to tell you is,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: this is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Is
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: your baby? Your girlfriend Shannon got me to prank phone
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: call you? Man? Got my how big? And I'm looking
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: for you? Oh man? You got you gotta go tell
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the whole world. Baby, what's the baddest radio show in
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the lane? That would be the Steve Harby Morning Show. Man,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: y'all so crazy you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Welcome up? You give subject. He wanted it before, but
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: he doesn't want it now. I surely and Steve, I
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: am not one to have let a man walk over me. However,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: a few months back I met someone who made me
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: let go of the guard I had held up in
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: protection of my heart. In November, I met a guy
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: eleven years my senior, and he seemed ideal. Despite my
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: self professed problem with being hyper sexual. He saw me
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: as the intellectual female that I am, and he treated
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: me spectacularly. My safety mattered to him and he didn't
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: mind letting me know. Fast forward six months and I
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: lay here crying because he claims he doesn't want a relationship.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: He knows that I'm in love with him, and he
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: uses this because he knows that is my weakness. He'll
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: call upon me for sexual encounters and then makes me
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: tell him I love him during sex. I fell in
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: love with the man who was my protector many months back,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: who told me things that I had never heard before.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Where did that person go? I keep trying to break
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: away and the cycle continues because I am weak for
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: this man. What am I to do? Wow? Okay, First
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: of all, go back to the beginning of your letter
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: where you say I am not the one to have
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: let a man walk over me. Well, where is she?
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Where is that woman? What happened to her? You know,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I'm just gonna need you to bring her back, first
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: of all, And I need you to wake up. Stop
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: professing that you are hyper sexual. I mean, what does
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: that mean anyway? Stuff that you know he'll use against you,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: He'll use to manipulate you to do what he wants
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you to do. And he has you right now just
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: where he wants you. I mean, you know, did he
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: hypnotize you or something? You know he can call you
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: on the phone, come to me, and you'll just calm
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: because he says it because you're weak for him. I mean,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: he can't do anything to you that you don't allow
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: him to do. As we have said a hundred and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: one million times on this show. You know, I just
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: need you to wake up and and be that other woman,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: the one who doesn't let people walk over them, because
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: clearly this man is just doing what having his way
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: with you. But he can't do that again unless you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: say it's okay, and you've apparently given him the okay.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You know this is just crazy. He's just eleven years
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: older than you, he has more game than you, and
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: you know in this instance he's winning. So you gotta
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: wake up and just stop letting him do this to you. Steve,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: say no, sometimes you don't have to go every time
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: he calls Steve, yeah, are you there? First of all, Shell,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I agree with everything you said. Great response, ladies. Um,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: here's here's the way I'll see it. Um, you know
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Shirley's right. What happened to the woman who opened up
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the door gate when I'm not want to let him
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: man walk all over me? You met a guy eleven
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: years you've seen and he seemed ideal. Now here's the
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: problem with your letter. Though despite myself professed problem with
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: being hyper sexual, see that this is yourself professed problem.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: While you shared that with him, I do not know.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Maybe it was to let him know you're gonna really
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: want it all the time, or whatever whatever that means.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I guess that's it. And eleven years so you're seeing
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: you Maybe you feil was. I got to tell him
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: this how I really am not and it's a problem
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: of mine. Okay, But then he saw you as the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: intellectual female that I am, and he treated me spectacking
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: my safety matter to him, and he didn't mind letting
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: me know. Fast forward your crying because he doesn't want
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: a relationship. I did not hear anywhere in your letter
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: where he said he wanted a relationship. I didn't hear
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: any of that. All of this is you. You got
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: this figured out, You made see you let you met
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: someone who made me let go of my god, who
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: let my guard down. You let your god down without
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: putting your problem down. Now in this letter, I have
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: to ask you this question, is your problem him or
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: is your problem your hyper sexual problem? Because you know
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: if it's him, then we can fix that. If hyper
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: sexual is your problem, then this is gonna occur again
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: and again and again because you're hyper sexual. But it
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: didn't say you were promiscuous. So if you love having
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: sex with these guys you meet, and that becomes the
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: preeminent thing in the relationship. He saw your intellectual side.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You told him this the real Meato, this is my
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: professed problem up front. So you told a guy that's
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: what you had to have, not guess what, not a
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: hand on to it. All he got to do is
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: play on that. And that's what you're creating. When I
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: come back, I have a solution for you. I'm actually
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: gonna show you a way out of this. I love it.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: After the break at eighteen after the hour, part two
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: of Steve's response to Today's Strawberry Letter. You're listening to
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Steve coming up. We got the rest of this letter, y'all.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: We'll be right back, y'all. This letter he wanted it before,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: but he doesn't want it now. How she and Steve.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I'm not wanting to let him man walk over me.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: How have a few months back, I met someone who
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: made me let go of the god I had held
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: up in protection of my heart. And November one, I
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: met a guy eleven years my senior, and he seemed
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: ideal despite my self professed problem with being hyper sexual.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: He saw me as an intellectual female that I am,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: and he treated me spectacling. My safety matter to him,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: and he didn't mind letting me know that. Fast forward
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: six months later, I lay here crying because claims he
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: doesn't want a relationship. He knows I'm in love with him,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: and because of this, he uh. He knows that I'm
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: in love with him and uses this because he knows
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: that it's my weakness. He'll call upon me for sexual
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: encounters and then makes me tell him I love him
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: doing sex. I fell in love with the man who
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: was my protector many months back. He told me things
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I've never heard before. Where did that person go? I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: keep trying to break away, and the psychle continues because
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I am weak for this man. What am I to do?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: It's not that you're really weak for this man, It's
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: just that you have a problem. And see, once you
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: let your guard down without putting your problem down, as
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I stated earlier, they aalize your real problem. The problem
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: is your your hyper sexual. Now I looked up hyper
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: sexual because this woman obviously has diagnosed herself with the
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: real problem of being hyper sexual. Okay, here's the definition
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: of hyper sexual. It is the inability to control thoughts, feelings,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: or sexual behavior. Your thoughts of sex, your feelings about sex,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: and your behavior about saying your inability to control that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: That's the definition according to the dictionary for hyper sexual. Okay,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Once you told the man this, guess what he had
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: a new toy. Oh, I'm gonna play with the hyper
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: sexual girl. Now you didn't fell in love with a
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: problem him and you hyper sexual. Now you're the told
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: us to the guy without establishing up front what you wanted.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: See once again, ladies, I didn't hear and hear what
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: a man said. He wanted relationship. He was just providing
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: protection for you. He said some things you had never
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: heard before. So damn what, I got a bunch of
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: first timelines for you if that's all they take. He
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: eleven years older than you. He didn't done some things
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you ain't done eleven years. Come on, man, it's got
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: being around the block. Here's here's your here's your deal.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: See you're saying here. He knows that I'm in love
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: with He knows that I'm in love with him, and
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: he uses this because he knows this is my weakness.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Love is not your weakness. Love is a strength. Let
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: me help you understand something your weakness. Love is not
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: a weakness. Love is a strength. Ain't nothing wrong with love.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Love overcomes, love winds. Love causes you to do right
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: when you want to do wrong. Love make you go
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: home and night. Love make you show up when you
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: feel like laying down. Love is a strength. Your weakness
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: is your problem. You need to go get some help
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: with being sexually hyper. You need to solve that problem
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: because this is just gonna happen again and again and again.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: But let me tell you something about me. And in
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: case you ain't got money for a therapist, come on.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: If you take away the non see you say, he
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: uses this against me because he knows I love them.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you somethingbody, man. Here's a simple therapeutic
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: moment you can add with any man. If you take
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: away the known to a man and create ain't the
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: unknown for man, You're either gonna do one or two things.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: You're gonna reignite his interests. He's gonna have to work
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: harder to keep it, or you're gonna give him the
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: out that he's looking for. So quit creating the known
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: for him, create the unknown. Quit answering your phone, quit
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: being with he wanted to, he want to hear I
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: love You. Didn't do something to show you love me
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: just because he's sex and you you got to tell
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: him you love it. Come on, lady, I'm just giving
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: your cheap way out. Now you got money for therapy.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: You really need to go get yourself looked into and
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: get yourselves some help. But a man responds to what
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: he don't know. Please know that, all right. Today's Strawberry
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Letter is posted on Steve Harvey dot com, or you

- 1:16:12Speaker 1: we haven't heard from him in a while. Remember Cisco
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: from drew Hill Blonde here all of that. Well, he
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: believes Lebron James is the only person worthy of the
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: m v P title, and he wrote a song about it.

- 1:16:45Speaker 1: here we go as promised. Cisco from drew Hill believes

- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I paid to three hundred million in taxhas you how
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: much you to about two or three hundred million? You
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: go on to the riding road every damn thing. Yeah,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: I'm making so much money, but I can't spend it
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: off that You know why? Were the same thing? Because
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: if I changed clothes and to put too much pressure
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: on me because I got so much money. You know
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying, I'll be in there calls all day
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out what I will with roscar. Let
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: me get this straight. You made two hundred to three
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: hundred million dollars in one year for six in income?
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? No? That that what I
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: paid in TAXI Ye, you're wait a minute, what I
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: paid to three hundred million lass this year at taxing?
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: U two or three hundred million? Girl, you made a
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: billion dollars and you don't change clothes. You wear the
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: same clothes because be too much pressure. I got some
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: more money with hell, hell, I buy everything so that way,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: you know, I buy very little that way. When you're
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: trying to go get dressed, I just go on in.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I gotta say that. You know, I know I couldn't
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: You know you got customer stress out of your life. Yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I find that hard to believe kind of money. I
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: know you, I know you make it hard to believe.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: You can't prove it though. Well, speaking of a whole
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: lot of money, She's got her share. Oprah Winfrey is
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: coming up. She's going to be our special guest. What's
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: your love over? You know one about wonder? She won't
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: hold me? You think hoping? I know, I know she
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: probably don't know. She and live and every day she
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: got good man sta everything you know Stammon at Rock
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: hold old. I tell you that. I mean, I just
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: look at what's wrong with him? You know he ain't
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: got no curl never. I ain't never seen stamping here now,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: nugget rain on. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, y'all,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: we got special guests on the phone. Oh, living as
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: a legend got to be hard, but she does it will.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: She's a media mogul, actress, producer, huge philanthropist. Her newest
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: project is The Immortal Life of Henrietta lax and Uh.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: She's executive producer and the style of the movie and
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks as this Saturday at
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: eight pm, seven Central on HBO. Let's find out more
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: about this new movie. Ladies, Jenner, put your hands together.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: The one and only Oprah Winfrey. Yes, good morning. What's
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: up hey, Dr Harvey? How are you doing? Dr? That
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Oprah is my big homie. I get in trouble, I
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: call her right away. Hey, So thanks for having me
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: on to talk about this. You know, I move in
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Baltimore for eight years, and I was a member of
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: the community and went to beccal Amy Church every Sunday
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: eight clock service. I was in the community active, and
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: all those years I never heard of this woman who
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: also had lived and thrived and um contributed so much
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to medical science and lived in Baltimore and herself. Anybody
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: who's taking any kind of medicine today is taking that
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: medicine because of what Henrietta lacks, an African American woman
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: who died in nineteen fifty one of cervical cancer, hersels,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: who created so many medical breakthroughs, changed countless lives and
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: the face of medicine forever. So I heard that store,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I read that book and thought, wow, I lived in
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Baltimore all that time, never heard her dame, never heard
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: about the heel itself. And you know, I'm always interested
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: whether I find a good uh nothing pannini or a car,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I want to share it. I want to everybody relax.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Y'all you know about her, that's the name we should
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: know because this African American woman who just came from
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: an ordinary family in Baltimore, Oliver descended you living. I
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: saw about sixty of them last night. Um really changed
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: the face of medicine. So that's what the story is about.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: You know that that's amazing because you know you have
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: a knack for telling these types of stories, for exposing
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: people to things like this. You know that this story
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: is told through the eyes of the woman herself, Henrietta
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Lacks Daughter. Yeah. Now, you played the role of Deborah,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: and critics have raved about this performance you put on
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: open tell us about your cast and how you feel
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: about the movie, the role itself. I feel that, you know,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: at first, I was really kind of intimidated by it because,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: as the truth is, I haven't done a lot of
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: acting because I had that day job, you know, all
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: those years and uh it. You know, so from the
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: very first film I ever did, Call a Purple, I
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: was nervous and scared the whole time. I was doing
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: an I thought Steven Spielberg was gonna fire me every day.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: And every time I step on a set, I recognize,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: you know, because I'm not one of those people with
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: you know, big head. I recognize everybody on this set
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: and knows more than I do. They've done it longer
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: than I've done it. They're more experienced than I am.
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: And this was a really challenging role because the woman
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: is bipolar. Deborah was diagnosed as being bipolar, which means
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: she has a range of emotions. I mean one day,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: one moment, she's you know, friendly and warm and generous
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: and gracious, and then somebody does something to upset her,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: and then she's outraged and upset and distrusting and furious. So,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: you know, I don't. I'm not a person who carries,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: or as were carried a lot of anger or rage.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: So I had to really big deep, pulls something up
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: out of my tone nails um to do a lot
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: of those scenes because it's it's it's just not it's
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: just not in my nature. So challenging, yes, but I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: had George Wolfe, the esteemed uh director, helping me, and
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Audrey McDonald, who's one, you know, six tons had told
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: me that if you ever get a chance to work
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: with George Wolfe, you should you should take that opportunity.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: So I sort of leaned in and surrendered and said
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Jesus helped me, and and it worked out, It worked out.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: I'm really pleased with how it's all turned out. Well,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: you also involved in the casting. Well, George, you know
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: what I do when when when uh you know, as
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: executive producer, I get to veto a decision or I
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: get to certainly contribute to the decisions that are being made.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: But what I try to do, as I know you
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: do Steve too, is you surround yourself with people who
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: know what they're doing, and then you let them do.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: Yes he does, Yes, he does. We're right now, you
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: around himself with other people. So George Wild you know,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: he knew what he was doing as a director. I
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: trusted him. So he was responsible for most of the casting,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: and he would say, what do you think of this person?
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: What do you think? Is where I go? Fine with me,
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: because you know he's been doing it far longer than
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I have. So I I was involved in, uh you know,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: much of the production and the decisions that were being made.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: But I try to when I step on a set
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: as an actor, Uh, let myself, let the rest of
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: all of you know, my abilities to make decision or
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: have influence over other people, I let that go and
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: surrender to the director. That's what I tried to do. Hey, oh, now,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: when when we watch this movie, what what do you
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: want to take away to I want people to know
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: that every story is important, and you know, particularly in
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: our culture, the African American culture, knowing who you are
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: and where you've come from, the you know what drove
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: this character Deborah uh was wanting to know, you know,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: because a lot of us come up, come and come
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: from families where something happens in the family, nobody wants
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: to talk about it. So she for years was asking
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: people about her mother, Tell me about my mother, because
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: her mother died when she was two years old, and
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: nobody would talk about it because I think partially because
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: she died of cervocal cancer. You know, so who's gonna
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Nobody talked about those kind of female problems or female issues.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: And also they didn't understand themselves what had happened. They
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: didn't know until nineteen she died in nineteen fifty one.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: They didn't know into the seventies, that their mother's cells
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: had been taken and had been sold, and that the
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: drug companies were making millions and now of dollars off
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: of those selves and day to this day have not
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: received a dime for it. So um, that's that. That's
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: really the essence of the story. I want people to
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: come away with a sense of knowing your own family
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: roots and knowing what your own legacy is. And I
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: think everybody will relate to them because it's just an
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: ordinary family whose mother has made extraordinary contributions. It could us. Yeah,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: I just think this is another great undertaking, folks. It's
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: the immortal life of Henrietta Lacks. Now that's gonna add
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: this sad to everybody. April two on HBO at eight pm,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: seven pm Central. Uh, it's it's a great movie, man,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: we gotta go see it. Uh. Oprah has been getting
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: some great reviews by her acting, so she didn't kill
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: the thing. So all we gotta do show up. Thank
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: you all so much. Thank you when you come to California.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: Ste I was just out there this weekend, but I

- 1:35:45Speaker 1: Anthony Brown joins the Steve Harvey Morning Show this Monday morning.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: Oh lord, all we come back. We're gonna wrap up
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: the show. We got time for just one more thing, y'all.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Hang on, baby, you're listening Morning Show all right for
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: they admitts left it out. We back, y'allus just one
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: more right at all? Right, here we go. According to
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: a brand new study, this is a brand new study
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: that's out all the bad news being reported everywhere, uh everywhere,
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: it's making us more aggressive, they're saying. Researchers from Iowa
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: State University found that violent stories we hear so many
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: of them now in the media, violent stories caused similar
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: problems with aggression as those caused by other known risk factors,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: such as bad parenting. This, of course, is a problem
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: because it seems the news these days is more violent
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: than ever. I mean, you know, you can't turn on
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: the TV without some horrific news story, um, you know,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: being reported. So what what's your emote reaction when you
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: see bad news? You guys get riled up, to you
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: get angry. I mean, I think all those emotions you feel, anger, sadness,
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: you know, yeah, yeah, anxiety, everything. I mean, you know,
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: it's it's tough to hear bad news, you know, like
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: for example, that the man coming from his kid's house
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: after having uh Easter dinner. Yeah, and then this ass
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: walk up and kirelessly. I mean, you know, you go
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: wild man, this old man just living his life on
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Easter four years old, and you're so full of the devil,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: and the devil got such a grip on you. You
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: kill him. And then to make sure you have no
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: redemption in your life, the devil convinces you to kill yourself. Wow. Wow,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Now all we left to do is shake our head
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: and we go for what man necessary? Dog that I was,
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: I was so mad when I heard that story to
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: see if I was so Yeah, I was angry. Yeah,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: you gonna kill yourself? Dogs, just kill you. Man, you
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: told your mama you was having suicide of thoughts, Go
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: do that, jovir mess with this man fault. His family
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: got to suffer and what what a what a family man?
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: They don't TV talking about how they father raised or not.
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: The hate and they forgive him and they want to
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: embrace him. And you know, but that sister said, no, yeah,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: that wants us. No. I wished he had died in
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: a hell of bullets. One hundred bullets would have done
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: it for me. That shooting yourself ain't work for her.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: They didn't. They didn't ask the brother nothing neither, because
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: when they went over they asked him, he walked off
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: now called the brother said, you don't need to hear
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: this hill. Yeah, you don't need to hear this ain't
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: even to match up with Christians in the family. I'm
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: gonna tell you that right now. Very sad there turn
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: the chef. But you know it's so sad man, I mean,
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: it's a horrific star nobody. He didn't even do nothing.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: You so you randomly and it's sad to about that
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: old football player killed himself. That's sad, you know, I mean,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: but he's sitting there in that prison thinking of what
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: he'd done and what he had. He had a life,
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: but he had everything everything. What a forty million dollar contract. Look,
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: if you could make it out the hood, you know,
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: you get blessed enough to come up, pull yourself together
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: and make it out or whatever your past was. But
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: you insist on revisiting it now he on camera in
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: some people's house. Just forget the fact that I'm a
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: football player in the National Football League. I'm gonna stay
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: all stupid like I've been that that that's that's yeah,
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: he thought loved the law. Did he think that mentality?
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, because most people at
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: that point, once you understand the value of what you have.
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: You somehow you wash it out in your mind. I
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: can't risk this. And don't they have like a moral's
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: clause in the contract that they signed anyway, clause. Yeah.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: So he was off the team soon as he was
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: arrested as a suspect. They take you right off the team.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: So sad, but he just his and he threw the
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: other man's life away and then the other two people.
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: Yeah that last Friday, those charges, but he still was
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: serving a life sentence. Stead hole, keep it real, mentality,
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: Go ahead and keep it real. Yeah, you know, man,
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: just no, you gotta keep it moving. That's the part
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: that people get stuck on. Let your path, you know.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: I like, I ain't mad at a cat like a
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: Charlemagne who I held on my show. I asked Charlemagne
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: to God on my show radio. Oh, I'm just like
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: a huge fan of I really do love this cat
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: man because it's a honesty. Yeah. And uh, that's what
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: he was on the show promoting was this book. And
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: he was on the show and he was just talking.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: It was just really real, matter of fact. He said, yeah,
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: you know, because I used to sell crack and I
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: could see the audience faces just go what what? What?
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: What did he say? See? Yeah, I used to sell crack.
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: I can appreciate a person who understands that if they
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: came from and found another way and walked away from it,
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: left it behind. I can appreciate a jay Z story,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: you know, of doing what he used to do. I
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: can appreciate a biggie story of what they used to
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: do and what they become. I can appreciate a story
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: like that. And those are the stories we know a
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: lot of them have done that and worse, we just

- 1:42:31Speaker 1: gang life out when these young cats is out in
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: the street, immulating them for real that I don't like.
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: You know, stop telling people you're a gangster. You're really
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: not a gangster at all. You really really not. You're
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: really not And because you're sold dope don't make you
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: a gangster. I have some more news for you too.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: You just she was just selling narcotics. No, that don't
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: make gangster. No, No, I can introduce you to some
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: people that's really do that for a living gangster for real.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: I ain't sold no dope. Hey, so I ounce a
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: dope and one of the biggest gangsters you ever won't meet.
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: That's interesting, man, So interesting about the news. Yeah, like
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: I said earlier today, just joking yesterday with the names, folks,
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: don't take it serious. Just having fun on the radio,
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: you know. So everybody's gotten the call that Steve was
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: hating on you. I ain't hating on nobody. I got
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: love for everybody. I forgive everybody moved on. So we're
