- 1:43Speaker 2: I probably got to turn the mouth.
- 1:46Speaker 1: The word of the morning jumpo me.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come on your.
- 2:01Speaker 8: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 8: to the voice, come on dig me now, one and
- 2:09Speaker 8: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, nothing changes
- 2:13Speaker 8: about that. Nothing changes about that.
- 2:17Speaker 9: Man.
- 2:18Speaker 8: I was just getting ready to come on the air
- 2:21Speaker 8: this morning. I was just thinking, man, I was just
- 2:26Speaker 8: having a reflective moment of just how really good God
- 2:30Speaker 8: has been to me. I just it's it's it's.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Man.
- 2:36Speaker 8: Let me just say that again, how really good God
- 2:40Speaker 8: has been to me. And here's a cold part. In
- 2:44Speaker 8: spite of myself, you understand that in spite of all
- 2:48Speaker 8: my shortcomings, in spite of all of my flaws and
- 2:54Speaker 8: and and and in spite of all of what anybody
- 2:57Speaker 8: has said about me, God, through his grace and mercy,
- 3:02Speaker 8: just keeps me. Anyway, So many of us are exceptional people,
- 3:09Speaker 8: but we refuse to just go ahead and be exceptional.
- 3:16Speaker 8: We settle for the ordinary, We follow the pack, We
- 3:22Speaker 8: try to fit in. Man, oh man, oh man, You know,
- 3:26Speaker 8: I've heard my wife say this to my children all
- 3:29Speaker 8: the time. When she's scolding him or talking to him,
- 3:31Speaker 8: She'll be talking to him about leadership. You know, why
- 3:34Speaker 8: are you following everybody when God clearly made you to lead?
- 3:38Speaker 8: So many of us are born, and so many of
- 3:41Speaker 8: you are born to be exceptional people, but we always
- 3:46Speaker 8: trying to follow the pack. Why would you try to
- 3:49Speaker 8: fit in? Why would you try to be like everybody
- 3:55Speaker 8: else be ordinary? Why would you follow the pack when
- 3:59Speaker 8: God has created you to be exceptional? The key word
- 4:04Speaker 8: in exceptional is except you. Ever you ever dine this
- 4:08Speaker 8: right here? You know, everybody did that accept me. Everybody
- 4:13Speaker 8: felt that way except me. Everybody said that except me.
- 4:19Speaker 8: Everybody won't wanted that accept me. Everybody went over there
- 4:24Speaker 8: except me. Everybody jumped in except me except me. See
- 4:32Speaker 8: why have you said that in your life? If you
- 4:35Speaker 8: were not to be exceptional? See you got to say
- 4:39Speaker 8: everybody except me at one point in yo to I
- 4:41Speaker 8: don't know who ain't done it? You know, everybody wanted.
- 4:44Speaker 8: Everybody voted no except me. See, so you're not You're
- 4:50Speaker 8: not created to follow the pack. You ain't created to
- 4:53Speaker 8: fit in. You ain't created to, uh, you know, to
- 4:57Speaker 8: be ordinary. You were created to be exceptional, as exceptional
- 5:01Speaker 8: as your fingerprint on your finger is. You were created
- 5:05Speaker 8: to be exceptional. Why not make this the year that
- 5:10Speaker 8: you go head on and be exceptional? Why won't this
- 5:14Speaker 8: be the year that you decide in your mind? But
- 5:17Speaker 8: just has to be a decision that we make. Now
- 5:19Speaker 8: we not following the pack no more. We not trying
- 5:23Speaker 8: to fit in no more. We ain't settling for ordinary
- 5:26Speaker 8: no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know you
- 5:30Speaker 8: got to go ahead and follow that. You got to
- 5:32Speaker 8: get on the exceptional path because that's what you were
- 5:35Speaker 8: created for. Why be ordinary? You know? But all of
- 5:38Speaker 8: this this comes It has to start with a thought.
- 5:43Speaker 8: You got to first think something. Thoughts become things. A
- 5:47Speaker 8: man is as he thinketh that's all you will ever be.
- 5:53Speaker 8: So what are your thoughts today? Why not have exceptional
- 5:56Speaker 8: thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why not have exceptional thoughts
- 6:00Speaker 8: instead of fitting me in thoughts?
- 6:02Speaker 2: So why you want to be like everybody? Else.
- 6:04Speaker 8: Why you want to be ordinary when you could possibly
- 6:07Speaker 8: be extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change
- 6:11Speaker 8: of your venue, And you don't have to be any
- 6:14Speaker 8: other kind of way just because my mama was this, well,
- 6:17Speaker 8: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 6:20Speaker 8: went to?
- 6:21Speaker 9: This?
- 6:21Speaker 8: What race I belong to? This is my sexual preference,
- 6:24Speaker 8: this is my this, this is my dad? How many?
- 6:27Speaker 2: How many?
- 6:27Speaker 8: How many excuses? You need? I mean, how many excuse?
- 6:30Speaker 9: What?
- 6:30Speaker 2: What? What?
- 6:31Speaker 8: What's it gonna be this year that we let another
- 6:35Speaker 8: three hundred and sixty five days slip by without improving
- 6:39Speaker 8: our condition, our place, our spot, our life, the quality
- 6:44Speaker 8: of life we have. We cannot afford to keep letting
- 6:49Speaker 8: all these years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person.
- 6:56Speaker 8: How many times have you set up and said, everybody
- 6:58Speaker 8: did that accept me? You know I was only everybody
- 7:03Speaker 8: jumped in except me. I told him, I knew it.
- 7:07Speaker 8: Everybody voted for that except me. And now look at it, man,
- 7:12Speaker 8: it seemed like everybody went that way except me. Okay,
- 7:17Speaker 8: do you get it? Do you understand what's being said
- 7:21Speaker 8: to you that all accept me is because couldn't it be?
- 7:26Speaker 8: Because you're an exceptional person and It's time for you
- 7:29Speaker 8: to take control of that. It's time for you to
- 7:32Speaker 8: start thinking different. It's time for you to start acting
- 7:35Speaker 8: on what you think. It's time for you to start
- 7:37Speaker 8: doing something about it. It's time for you to stop
- 7:40Speaker 8: taking each and every day that God gives us for
- 7:42Speaker 8: granted and letting them go by the wayside. Like you
- 7:45Speaker 8: got plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more, but
- 7:48Speaker 8: guess what what you wasting the ones you got for?
- 7:53Speaker 8: I got you young, and you feel like you're gonna
- 7:55Speaker 8: live forever. Eh, okay, cool, But let me ask you something.
- 7:59Speaker 8: See here, here go the part about it. I supose
- 8:01Speaker 8: you do live. See see everybody worrying about dying. But
- 8:05Speaker 8: I got news for you. Suppose you keep on living.
- 8:08Speaker 8: You want to keep living in the condition you in now.
- 8:11Speaker 8: You want to keep living with the money you got now.
- 8:13Speaker 8: You want to keep living with the relationship you got now.
- 8:16Speaker 8: You want to keep living by yourself like you are now.
- 8:19Speaker 8: You want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right
- 8:22Speaker 8: man to the right woman, but you keep getting the
- 8:24Speaker 8: wrong one. You want to keep doing that for the
- 8:26Speaker 8: rest of your life. Problem ain't dying. There's problem is
- 8:29Speaker 8: if you keep on living who wants to keep on
- 8:31Speaker 8: living just the way they are right now. And if
- 8:35Speaker 8: you could say I'm cool, what I am just the
- 8:37Speaker 8: way I am right now? In cool, this conversation ain't
- 8:39Speaker 8: for you. Ain't got no problem with that, you know,
- 8:42Speaker 8: you know, say, greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional, ain't
- 8:47Speaker 8: for everybody. Becoming extraordinary ain't for everybody. Heck, becoming successful
- 8:52Speaker 8: ain't for everybody. I got it. And you can come
- 8:56Speaker 8: up with a way to justify your non existence and
- 8:59Speaker 8: your ordinary life if all you want, And that's fine
- 9:01Speaker 8: and dandy. I ain't got no problem with it. Because
- 9:04Speaker 8: some people just gonna be regular, some people just gonna
- 9:08Speaker 8: follow the pack, follow the crowd. Some people just wants
- 9:11Speaker 8: to fit in. But if you're not that person, if
- 9:14Speaker 8: you want to be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional,
- 9:18Speaker 8: if you want to be if you want a dad
- 9:20Speaker 8: to be great at something, and you got to change
- 9:22Speaker 8: your mindset. You got to get what your creator and
- 9:25Speaker 8: find out what he created you for. You got to
- 9:28Speaker 8: quit thinking of things just in your own thought process,
- 9:31Speaker 8: you know, lean not to your own understanding. I don't
- 9:34Speaker 8: know where that is, but it's in there somewhere. Seeing
- 9:36Speaker 8: once you lean. If you lean to your own understanding,
- 9:40Speaker 8: you know what it's gonna do. It's gonna limit you. Man,
- 9:42Speaker 8: it's gonna limit you. Why not see what God got
- 9:46Speaker 8: for you. I would rather know what God got for
- 9:48Speaker 8: me than to think of all the things I could
- 9:50Speaker 8: because I can't out think him out and tried it before.
- 9:53Speaker 2: All right, it's just the beginning. We're gonna have a
- 9:55Speaker 2: good one.
- 9:56Speaker 9: Man.
- 9:56Speaker 8: Let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention. He'd
- 10:07Speaker 8: have done it again and we are here for it.
- 10:11Speaker 8: If you don't think that's a blessing, it's something wrong
- 10:13Speaker 8: with you. That's all I'm gonna say this morning. Let's
- 10:16Speaker 8: just get it started. Shelley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi
- 10:19Speaker 8: Monica Junior. Government name is kill Spate and the legend
- 10:24Speaker 8: of Nephew TOMMYTT Junior. Is so much going on in
- 10:28Speaker 8: your life, so many wonderful twisting turns. It's just fascinating
- 10:34Speaker 8: watching a young man go through the changes of marriage
- 10:39Speaker 8: and hope and dreams and homeowner ship and newly wins.
- 10:44Speaker 8: It's just you got so much, your brand new father,
- 10:48Speaker 8: you just you just got it all happened this year.
- 10:52Speaker 10: It's a lot, but you know, you gotta find other
- 10:54Speaker 10: things that could take your mind off of some of
- 10:56Speaker 10: this stuff.
- 10:57Speaker 8: You do give ready to do this?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Can you have y'all.
- 10:59Speaker 10: Looked round and noticed that you see, uh, white people
- 11:04Speaker 10: on the flies for Juneteenth?
- 11:06Speaker 6: Have y'all seen this?
- 11:08Speaker 2: No, we're somewhere.
- 11:10Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 10: I looked up there and I said, I don't really
- 11:13Speaker 10: quite remember y'all being there.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Who was y'all?
- 11:18Speaker 10: I'm just saying, I don't really know, you know, who
- 11:20Speaker 10: is celebrating.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'm from Texas.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I mean, can we just at least had the junior teenth?
- 11:24Speaker 7: Fly?
- 11:24Speaker 10: Can we had that? I don't ever remember us being
- 11:31Speaker 10: They have a celebration, they have a celebration, and they
- 11:33Speaker 10: just on the flies in these cities they celebrated the
- 11:36Speaker 10: junie teenth. But I would think you would put you know,
- 11:39Speaker 10: somebody like you know, doctor King on the fly or
- 11:41Speaker 10: something like that. You know, somebody that looks like what
- 11:45Speaker 10: Juneteenth represents, what we're doing, you know, just some black
- 11:48Speaker 10: families or something like that.
- 11:49Speaker 1: But they're not doing that.
- 11:50Speaker 2: They just on the fly.
- 11:51Speaker 10: I just don't remember us being on the fourth of
- 11:54Speaker 10: July fly. I ain't never seen us on the front
- 11:56Speaker 10: of that one. I ain't never looked up and said, uh,

- 12:01Speaker 2: I ain't never seen. Can you imagine if the.

- 12:26Speaker 10: on the fly. They look like they're really about to

- 12:31Speaker 10: what June team means.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I don't think that the fly now, yeah.

- 15:36Speaker 7: you know. And you know, with God's help, man, I'll
- 15:38Speaker 7: be able to get back on my feet. You know
- 15:39Speaker 7: what I'm saying. That's all right, hey, man, I just

- 16:03Speaker 7: my bad man.
- 16:04Speaker 9: I'm sorry.
- 16:05Speaker 7: Noh me and you we haven't. We haven't met at all.
- 16:08Speaker 7: Like I say, you know, my wife knows Kendra and
- 16:11Speaker 7: they hang out, and I guess she's she's dabbled a
- 16:14Speaker 7: couple of times and been around. You know, your wife
- 16:16Speaker 7: is your wife is Maryland? Right? Yeah, that's okay. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 7: I guess she's been been in the presence of Maryland, man.
- 16:24Speaker 7: So you know, you know, I kind of got your
- 16:27Speaker 7: number from from my wife, man, and she got it
- 16:30Speaker 7: from Kindred, So I kind of wanted to holler.
- 16:32Speaker 9: At you, you know, which went out in your dad.
- 16:35Speaker 7: Actually, man, Like I said, Man, I've been I've been
- 16:38Speaker 7: down for a minute, you know, and I uh actually
- 16:44Speaker 7: you know, came from doctor yesterday and and my my bones, man,
- 16:50Speaker 7: they my bones are deteriorating.
- 16:53Speaker 9: You know.
- 16:54Speaker 7: Uh, that's that's kind of what I've what I've been
- 16:56Speaker 7: going through, man. And if I don't get the proper
- 17:02Speaker 7: medication that I need, man, then we you know it
- 17:06Speaker 7: within the next three months here, dog, it could get
- 17:10Speaker 7: pretty bad. You know what I'm saying. Well, man, I'm
- 17:14Speaker 7: sorry to hear that.
- 17:15Speaker 9: Bro.
- 17:17Speaker 7: You know, all I can do is you straight well
- 17:19Speaker 7: you man, And you know well man, the doctor told
- 17:25Speaker 7: me that it's bro, don't cry. Man. The doctor told
- 17:30Speaker 7: me man, you know, if I get the right medication, man,
- 17:35Speaker 7: that you know, I could get back up to seventy
- 17:38Speaker 7: five eighty percent healthy again, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:41Speaker 7: So you know, it's just a rare type of thing
- 17:45Speaker 7: that I need to try and get and I think
- 17:49Speaker 7: that you might be I think you can help me.
- 17:51Speaker 7: We would be strong man.
- 17:53Speaker 14: Be strong, just man, sit down, Man, be strong. Bro,
- 17:57Speaker 14: it's gonna be all right.
- 17:58Speaker 13: But I think it's gonna be all right.
- 18:00Speaker 14: God is with you. I pray for you.
- 18:02Speaker 15: I do all I can.
- 18:04Speaker 7: I don't know well actually actually, uh the doctor told me,
- 18:09Speaker 7: man that if for six months, if I drunk breast milk,
- 18:14Speaker 7: it will it will It will put enough calcium and
- 18:18Speaker 7: stuff back into my bones that would get me back
- 18:20Speaker 7: up to seventy to eighty five percent healthy. Yeah, I
- 18:25Speaker 7: ain't got no breath, but you know it's not. It's
- 18:29Speaker 7: not you Ron you you don't you know, but you
- 18:33Speaker 7: know your your wife does.
- 18:35Speaker 9: Though.
- 18:36Speaker 14: WHOA, you're talking about my wife's brass.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Man.

- 39:15Speaker 13: All right, guys, coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 39:17Speaker 13: the hour, we'll check Steve's voicemail right after this.
- 39:21Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, it is
- 39:25Speaker 1: time to check Steve's voicemail.
- 39:27Speaker 13: If you would like to leave a message for Steve,
- 39:29Speaker 13: call him eight seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven
- 39:32Speaker 13: seven twenty nine. Steve, you might just hear your call
- 39:35Speaker 13: on the air like this one from Lonnie Steve. Lonnie's
- 39:38Speaker 13: from Michigan. He's married three times, but he needs your advice.
- 39:41Speaker 8: Come on.
- 39:42Speaker 11: Hey see my name is Lonnie. I just wanted to
- 39:45Speaker 11: call in about it. You know, I've been married two times.
- 39:49Speaker 11: See I'll see and my wife just did you know
- 39:53Speaker 11: get passed away? Not not till my joy.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Just the Elman's checked their head.
- 39:59Speaker 11: And I'm in what they call that commission to where
- 40:04Speaker 11: I can't deal with any more women.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Because I'm afraid. Tell me what you think about that?
- 40:11Speaker 9: Pick out my bottle and I.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Love your show.
- 40:15Speaker 8: Well, Lonnie, don't. I don't never been in commission before.
- 40:19Speaker 8: Did you mean remission? I don't know what you're in?
- 40:23Speaker 8: Did you mean submission? I don't really know, Lonnie, but
- 40:27Speaker 8: I think what you need to do, Lonnie is just
- 40:29Speaker 8: go sit down some damn well, because you know, man,
- 40:32Speaker 8: when you ain't sure, Lonnie, just stop. See your problem
- 40:37Speaker 8: is you want to keep going in forward motions. Sometimes
- 40:39Speaker 8: you got to be steel, You got to trust, You
- 40:43Speaker 8: got to say a prayer, you gotta wait on the answer.
- 40:45Speaker 15: Now.
- 40:46Speaker 8: I don't know what I heard you say, but it
- 40:48Speaker 8: felt like you said one of them.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Died or three all three?
- 40:54Speaker 8: Explain something, Lonnie. Don't nobody want you at this point.
- 40:58Speaker 8: I'm just gonna be real with you because it seemed
- 41:01Speaker 8: like hooking up with you as leads to early premature death. Yeah, well,
- 41:07Speaker 8: I know what he said. You don't think it look
- 41:10Speaker 8: like yeah, but everybody is dying. Now it's time for
- 41:14Speaker 8: you to sit your hands down. Stop killing people. That's
- 41:17Speaker 8: what you need to do. Well, why is they dead?
- 41:22Speaker 9: Though?
- 41:23Speaker 2: All of them?
- 41:23Speaker 8: Everybody? Man, LINI died?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Now how that one and one is two?
- 41:29Speaker 8: And then who Lonnie is? Alway? You? You is the
- 41:35Speaker 8: one of the ones in the equation of one plus
- 41:38Speaker 8: one equals two. Two people get together, one of them die,
- 41:44Speaker 8: who left the other one in Luni? Now line it.
- 41:50Speaker 8: That ain't a good ass track record. If you tell
- 41:52Speaker 8: a woman that you day now I've been married three
- 41:55Speaker 8: times and all of them have died, you will never
- 41:58Speaker 8: be on the date long Right after that, say you
- 42:01Speaker 8: know how many people get him go to the powder
- 42:02Speaker 8: room and go get in their car.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Somebody in commission right now? Commission in commission. He's in
- 42:12Speaker 2: rum mission.
- 42:14Speaker 8: He's grieving.
- 42:16Speaker 2: All right, we have a new mission. That's what he needs.
- 42:20Speaker 1: For Lannie. All right, we have another word, Steve. Uh.
- 42:24Speaker 13: Last week uh for Lannie. Last week we played a
- 42:29Speaker 13: voicemail from a male caller from Philly Steve that said
- 42:32Speaker 13: his wife doesn't want him yelling or disciplining their son.
- 42:35Speaker 13: Now we have a caller. Remember that we have a
- 42:38Speaker 13: caller who left a comment. Take a listen, good morning.
- 42:41Speaker 12: Uh.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I just have one question.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Steve Harvey was saying.
- 42:44Speaker 3: The one thing that a man knows how to do
- 42:46Speaker 3: is be a man. I was just wondering if Steve
- 42:49Speaker 3: Harvey could give us the people examples of what that is,
- 42:55Speaker 3: and that is being a man for you and your
- 42:58Speaker 3: mind frame, Steve, knowing what a man is and what
- 43:02Speaker 3: you know, you were just talking about disciplining child and
- 43:06Speaker 3: let that man discipline the child is one thing.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Man and not good at a lot of things.
- 43:10Speaker 3: For one thing, they are good at being a man.
- 43:13Speaker 3: So I just want to know what are the things
- 43:16Speaker 3: that you know that you are.
- 43:17Speaker 8: A good man. Manhood is simple. We only have a
- 43:21Speaker 8: few basic groups. We protect, we profess, and we provide.
- 43:27Speaker 8: That is the basic aura of manhood. Professing his love
- 43:32Speaker 8: for you, protecting you, and providing for you. The number
- 43:36Speaker 8: one rule of manhood is just do what you say
- 43:39Speaker 8: you're gonna do. If a man does everything he says
- 43:42Speaker 8: he's gonna do, he garners the respect of his children,
- 43:46Speaker 8: he gets to respect of his coworkers, he gets to
- 43:49Speaker 8: respect of all his friends, he gets to respect of
- 43:52Speaker 8: the woman he's dating. He gets everybody's respect. Those are
- 43:56Speaker 8: the three things. Protection, provision and provide, professing, protecting and providing,
- 44:03Speaker 8: and do what you say you're going to do.
- 44:05Speaker 2: That's Mayorhood all day.
- 44:10Speaker 13: Yeah, all right, Steve, thank you. Coming up next, today's
- 44:14Speaker 13: prank phone call from the nephew. Right after this, you're
- 44:18Speaker 13: listening Hard Morning show. Coming up at the top of
- 44:23Speaker 13: the hour. Right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:26Speaker 13: letter for today and the subject is body oils, gels,
- 44:30Speaker 13: lotions and potions. We'll get into that find out what
- 44:35Speaker 13: that's all about, because I have no clue right now.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Uh, that's coming up a little later.
- 44:40Speaker 13: Right now, it is time for the nephew in today's
- 44:42Speaker 13: prank phone call.

- 44:47Speaker 6: or work husband, you understand, Yeah, you know normally work

- 54:57Speaker 13: Thank you nephew, subject body oils, gels, lotions and potions.
- 55:04Speaker 13: All right, Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm forty eight years old
- 55:07Speaker 13: and divorced. I'm seeing an old friend from work that
- 55:10Speaker 13: is also divorced. He has been dating a lot longer
- 55:13Speaker 13: than I have, so it started off as him hanging
- 55:16Speaker 13: out with me so I was not lonely. I needed
- 55:19Speaker 13: to start out by saying that this man used to
- 55:22Speaker 13: light up the office with cologne when he walked in.
- 55:25Speaker 13: It's like he bathed in it every morning, and it completed.
- 55:29Speaker 13: It competed with the extra fabric softener smell in his clothes.
- 55:33Speaker 13: I have sensitive sinus issues, so he'd make me sneeze
- 55:37Speaker 13: whenever I got close to him. Nothing's changed, really, except
- 55:40Speaker 13: he now uses a lot of body oils, and he
- 55:43Speaker 13: continues he combines the oils for different purposes. The other
- 55:48Speaker 13: night we went up to an outdoor concert and he
- 55:51Speaker 13: made up a natural bug repellent that made people and
- 55:55Speaker 13: bugs want to run from him. When it comes to
- 55:58Speaker 13: making love, he can't get started without giving me a
- 56:01Speaker 13: sensual massage with oils he concocted. I have asked him
- 56:05Speaker 13: to stick with lavender, but he sneaks other oils in
- 56:09Speaker 13: on me. Getting ready to go out with him takes
- 56:12Speaker 13: forever because his body oils. Because of his body oils,
- 56:15Speaker 13: his gels, his lotions and potions. He also loves to
- 56:19Speaker 13: rubs crystals and burned sage when something doesn't go his way.
- 56:24Speaker 13: I know this is all new age stuff, but I
- 56:26Speaker 13: believe in deodorant and not oils. When the oils wear
- 56:30Speaker 13: off and he starts sweating or exerting too much energy,
- 56:34Speaker 13: he needs a real deodorant, not the gel stuff he
- 56:37Speaker 13: puts under his arm. Having said all of that, I
- 56:40Speaker 13: do care for this man, and we have history. My
- 56:43Speaker 13: husband was a big country bumpkin who worked hard and
- 56:47Speaker 13: took care of me. He showered with manly soap and
- 56:50Speaker 13: did yard work. But my boyfriend is more into self
- 56:53Speaker 13: care than me. Should I kick him to the curve
- 56:56Speaker 13: because he's greasy and smelly or do I ask him
- 56:59Speaker 13: to tone it down? A good man is so hard
- 57:02Speaker 13: to find, well, you know, to you, I just say
- 57:07Speaker 13: this cleanliness and smelling good those are deal breakers.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Those really are deal breakers. I mean, what else is there?
- 57:14Speaker 13: You got to be able to stand this person, to
- 57:17Speaker 13: be in the same room with this person, to be
- 57:19Speaker 13: around this person, and of course be intimate with this person.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I mean, if he stinks, there's no chance of that.
- 57:26Speaker 17: Right.
- 57:26Speaker 13: A good man is hard to find, But that's no
- 57:29Speaker 13: excuse to settle for some funky smelling man. It's just
- 57:32Speaker 13: not You got to talk to him. You got to
- 57:34Speaker 13: tell him about his odor. You got to tell him
- 57:37Speaker 13: how it makes you sneeze. All of that stuff. I mean,
- 57:40Speaker 13: ask him to lighten up, to tone it down. You've
- 57:43Speaker 13: asked him that he didn't do it. He's always sneaking
- 57:45Speaker 13: some kind of oil in it in on you. I mean,
- 57:48Speaker 13: maybe he can use one oil at a time and
- 57:51Speaker 13: tell him the oils he uses you don't like the
- 57:54Speaker 13: way they smell. You got to tell him this is
- 57:57Speaker 13: the only way he can be with you. I mean,
- 57:59Speaker 13: maybe he'll be in bad harist if you tell him
- 58:01Speaker 13: this stuff. Maybe he'll be mad at you. But at
- 58:03Speaker 13: least if he really cares, maybe he'll stop using so
- 58:07Speaker 13: many of these stinky oils. Then you can give him
- 58:10Speaker 13: a care package, you know, with some nice smelling soaps
- 58:12Speaker 13: in it, you know, and of course some deodorant and
- 58:15Speaker 13: some cologne. If he refuses, I just think he'll be
- 58:19Speaker 13: over there stinking by himself. I mean this is important.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Cleanliness, smelling good, all of that.
- 58:24Speaker 8: Steve, Well, let's get started. This is a letter about
- 58:27Speaker 8: a crazy person.
- 58:29Speaker 2: That's what this is. Right here.
- 58:31Speaker 8: You are dating a damn lunatic. I don't know how
- 58:35Speaker 8: else you see this. I know how you see it
- 58:39Speaker 8: differently because you're forty eight years old and divorced and
- 58:44Speaker 8: you just start seeing this old friend from work that's
- 58:46Speaker 8: also divorced. Oh wonder why he got divorced. He's been
- 58:51Speaker 8: dating a lot longer than I have. So it started
- 58:53Speaker 8: out as him just hanging out with me. So I
- 58:55Speaker 8: wasn't lowing okay, so he would go with this old
- 58:58Speaker 8: friend and stuff again out of it. Hold y'all about this.
- 59:02Speaker 8: He an old friend of yours for work. Now now
- 59:04Speaker 8: y'all sleeping together. Now you got to put all this
- 59:07Speaker 8: criscal home and everything. He likes to smell of fresh bacon.
- 59:10Speaker 8: Now he just rubbing your ass down in bacon's breas
- 59:13Speaker 8: off stove. He got off that Maxwell coffee cab. Now
- 59:16Speaker 8: your nut ass that got involved with this man. Now
- 59:19Speaker 8: you said you want to start off by saying that
- 59:22Speaker 8: he used to light up the office with cologne when
- 59:24Speaker 8: he walked in. It's like he bathed in it every morning,
- 59:27Speaker 8: and it competed with the extra fabric softness smell in
- 59:30Speaker 8: his clothing.
- 59:31Speaker 7: What what?
- 59:33Speaker 8: Then you said, I have sensitive sign his issues, so
- 59:36Speaker 8: he'd make me sneeze whatever I got close to him.
- 59:39Speaker 8: What are you seeing him for? He is offensive? Then
- 59:43Speaker 8: you say, nothing's changed, really, He's still walking in the office.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Light it up.
- 59:49Speaker 8: You still sneezing, He's still bathing in all these alls.
- 59:54Speaker 8: And nothing's changed really except now he uses a lot
- 59:57Speaker 8: of body oars that he can combines the oils for
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: different purposes. The other night we went to outdoor concert,
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: he made up a natural bug repellent that made people
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: in bug What did he put on? What did he
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: put on him?
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: That's got everybody running at the park.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, hang on.
- 1:00:19Speaker 13: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:22Speaker 13: twenty three minutes after the hour today.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: Hold up a great raid on your sair.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Body, oiled gels, lotions and potions. We'll get back into
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:38Speaker 13: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:41Speaker 13: The subject body, oils, gels, lotions and potions.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: This fortier.
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: You're old woman who was divorced, started seeing whole free
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: and from work. I have told you all about these friends.
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: They cannot stay there long. If not, if you they
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: attracted teeth, you couldnt be friends with the person you're
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: attracted to. It doesn't work for me. And if you're
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: an attractive woman and you look good to this man
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: for whatever the reason, whoever you are, all women are
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: attractive to somebody, then that man wants to sleep with you.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: You why y'all can't understand this? Damn quitnin looking in
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: the zoom monica like you can't believe me. Yes, if
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: the man is in your face and he's attracted to you,
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: he wants to be your friend so he can try
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: to sleep with you.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: What y'all missing about this?
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: Just go back in your life and think of all
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: the men that was friendly to you, and the moment
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: they thought they had a chance. Ain't they asked you
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: for some every last one, all your friends that joked
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: about it.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I come by there in hollering, sorry, I bet I know,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: I bet I bet I know. I wish I was
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: over there.
- 1:01:55Speaker 9: Girl.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: You're crazy? You don't go see the movie.
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: So now this man.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: You started seeing this man, But he.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Used to come into office with clone when he walked in,
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: and like he bathed in it, and he combined it
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: with his fabric softening, and you got a sensitive sign
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: this issue. So he made you sneeze whenever you got clothes.
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Why are you dating this man? Nothing changed really except
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: now he used a lot of body oiarls and he
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: combines the oars for different purpose.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: The other night.
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: Y'all went through out there concert and he made up
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: a natural bug repell it that made people in bugs
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: want to run from him. What did he put on?
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: He'd have sprayed raid on his ass and then came
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: back and.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Topped it off with some hoss.
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Yeah hawst thought he was good and put a little
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: bit of polo on it. You know, because the polo
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: with the emblem on the polo bottle of green bottle
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: with the gold cap got a horse on it, and
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: that all to keep the bugs off a horse. So
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: he put that on too. When it comes to making love,
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: he can't get started without giving me a sensual massage
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: with olls he concocted.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Now he rubbed it.
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: He liked bacon. So now he didne went down there
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: in the kitchen and got it scooped up on me.
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: Hand of that bacon all off that coffee can on
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: the stove. Now you have. They're rubbing your hands down
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: with bacon grease. But you like lavender, so he throw
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: a little bit and lavender on with it. Now you're
- 1:03:31Speaker 8: feeling hot and tingley. You smell like hot sweet meat.
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: I've asked him to stick with lavender, but he sneaks
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: other oars in on me. What's wrong with this food?
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: You dated.
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: Getting ready to go out here and take whatever because
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: of the body of all jails, potions and loss. He
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: also loves to rub crystals and burn sage when something
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: don't go his way. So you got a man in
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: here burn and saved and hold in crystal when some
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: don't go his daggaman's fund set y'all house fire, I
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: see that right now, y'agle lose all your homeowners and
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: surance right here. You're up here with this little strong
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: as he smelled like that a whole He smell like
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: that whole strength that be on the streets in New York,
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: and brothers up there be selling them all. Oh yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: you get caught up at that stand sometimes because some
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: don't smell good to you. But if you're by moting three,
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: you fitish stak. I'm just gonna tell you that right now.
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: If you're five moting three of them little vials of oil,
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: you fitness stink.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Don't let nobody tell you that's ood. Would that ain't
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: what that is?
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: Now?
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: Look, I know this is all new age stuff, but
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: I believe in deoda and not oil. See you putting
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: all under his nice oil is not a bunk to Trent.
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: It is like putting a mask on an ugly person.
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: Get in the Halloween party and an ugly person put
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: a mask on, and for some reason he got to
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: take his mask off so he could sip a drink,
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: and he looked the same with the mask on all off.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: I mean, it's just Halloween for his ass all the time.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: That's what you're dealing with here.
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: Having said all that, I do care for this man,
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: and we have history. What history, y'all just been friends
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: that he's been a friend of yours. He's wanting to
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: sleep with you the whole time. That ain't history, But
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: y'all history ain't been that good though. He make love
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: to you, spreading all this stuff on you. You, and
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: there you got deep woods bug repelling on y'all find
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: to make love. And then he coming there with that
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: vacon grease. Now you got a little samwich spread on
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: you here, and that got mayonnaise. He working with your
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: ass with mayonnaise on and all here and you're just
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: in here. She's just a damn samd.
- 1:06:04Speaker 15: Now.
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: Now, my husband was a big country bumpkin who worked hard,
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: took care of me. He shoed with manly soap, did
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: yard work. Yeah, oh no, But my boyfriend is more
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: than a self care than me. Should I kick him
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: to the curve because he's greasy and smelly? Or do
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: I ask him for tona? A good man is so
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: hard to find. What is good about this man? You
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: have not said one good thing about this man. I'm
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: trying to figure out. You just want somebody, so I
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: don't stay with his big sting that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 13: What you're coming And Steve Harvey, fmm.

- 1:07:50Speaker 8: I mean, ain't no runs, ain't nobody trying. You know,
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: Denver just had them out. They were just they were undersized.
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: They will understand my Ammy need left and some mo
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: athleticism because all they got is some damn three point shooter.
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: Is the only athlete on that team is Jimmy fucker
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: and that's the cat is standing out there.
- 1:08:12Speaker 10: You think Jimmy Field this morning, do you think he
- 1:08:14Speaker 10: want to get rid of everybody he playing with a
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: tied man.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: He tied three final appearances in four years.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: This man ain't one one.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: You don't think he tied well, I mean, you know, yeah, but.
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: You can't do it at all. He can't do it
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: by himself, sport. You know, it was like bron went
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: to the whale a few times before he got it,
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: you know, Man, Jordan went to the whale a bunch
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: of times.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: So he boughted that you got the gold man. You know,
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I don't feel sorry for him. I just he got
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: all his money. Jimmy, I think he got all that money.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: But I had this hat on all not. I can't
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: believe you.
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: Don't abody to give a damn about you and your hat.
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: This is about the damn den for nuggets. The Heat lost.
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: What game was you watching? The one where they lost?
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: And I had it on because I was believing, Hey,
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: don'g that hat. I ain't got nothing to do with
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: the outcome. You know how many people had on Miammy
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: jerseys last night.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: They had on the Heat. They brought all us Me
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: and DJ. Kelly is upset this moment.
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: I can't believe it.
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: Kelly, sit down too, dog.
- 1:09:29Speaker 13: That ain't y'alls team major key alert, DJ Kelly, I came.

- 1:09:42Speaker 8: Y'all didn't believe in Denville. God did.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Just use all of his stuff?
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't leave you even know that.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: I'm surprised that Pop calls information I had dread. God.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Thank you, j your congratulations to the Denver Nuggets.
- 1:10:07Speaker 13: We'll be back with some questions to our fathers on

- 1:17:24Speaker 2: I don't I don't care. That's that's gonna drive me crazy.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: A billionaire.
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: I'm gonna take you.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Well, now you're talking a little something different.
- 1:17:33Speaker 13: Now a very rich person are in your perspective? Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:17:50Speaker 13: So you guys have married the poor person who you
- 1:17:52Speaker 13: don't love? I mean the poor person who you love
- 1:17:54Speaker 13: a life.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: I'm more the poor person that we go build us
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: a life or nothing.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: That's very noble, that is rich. Is I like that answer?
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:18:05Speaker 13: Would you rather fly first class or would you rather
- 1:18:08Speaker 13: stay at a luxury hotel?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: You can only do one.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: You can only what if I'm gonna do when I
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: get off?
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I'm flying first class, So you stand at the luxury hotel.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: At the luxury hotel? Yeah, the luxury hotel.
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: Yeah, because that flight on a few hours. You got
- 1:18:24Speaker 8: to spend the night in this red assroom. Last thing
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: I need to do is walk out on my balcony
- 1:18:31Speaker 8: and there go my car. That's the last thing I
- 1:18:35Speaker 8: need to do in my life right now.
- 1:18:37Speaker 13: What was that hotel where you could open up the
- 1:18:39Speaker 13: refrigerator while lying in bed with your big toe or something?
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, the night's in now?
- 1:18:46Speaker 8: Remember that room with Sean put us in in Birmingham.
- 1:18:50Speaker 8: Uh And it didn't have a closet, it had it
- 1:18:54Speaker 8: had a hanging bar. I ain't never seen nothing like that.
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: I could just stay in the bed, flush the toilet,
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: turn on the TV, and change clothes and wash up
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: all that the same.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: I ain't had to get out the bed?
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather sleep with your cousin?
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: Let me explain something to you.
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: If you can lay in your bed and peel in
- 1:19:14Speaker 8: that toilet, it's too damn clay.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: In little all right?
- 1:19:22Speaker 13: Would you rather sleep with your cousin or would you
- 1:19:25Speaker 13: rather sleep with an unquestionably ugly date.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: I'm forgings.
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: I'm going to sleep with this iquestionably ugly date because
- 1:19:37Speaker 8: I don't have no finance cousins, my.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: Private mom, you ain't seen my cousin.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You just assumed he was cute. That's today's round him.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Would you rather.
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: My cousins to pass?
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: Day? Prime?
- 1:19:54Speaker 13: Coming up in forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:19:57Speaker 13: have the last break of the day, and of course
- 1:19:59Speaker 13: some clothes and remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show.
- 1:20:06Speaker 13: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day
- 1:20:09Speaker 13: on this Tuesday. It's been a good day.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Oh, very good day, good time today. Yeah, thanks to everyone.
- 1:20:18Speaker 8: Hey, guys, you know what I want to talk about
- 1:20:21Speaker 8: this in my clothes remarks today because the camp starts tomorrow,
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: my boys starts tomorrow. And in my closing remarks I
- 1:20:32Speaker 8: was gonna say that. At my golf tournament this past week,
- 1:20:38Speaker 8: as we were raising money and we reached our goal
- 1:20:40Speaker 8: of raising money for the Minty Camp. At the end
- 1:20:45Speaker 8: of it, I thanked everybody who had donated and spent
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: the money to come and all the money.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: Goes towards a good cause. But at the end of it,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: I said, brothers, you know what I need more than money.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: I need mentors.
- 1:20:59Speaker 8: I need men.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: I can't even tell you how important mentoring is.
- 1:21:05Speaker 8: You have no idea how many of our young black
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: boys don't have relationship with their fathers for a number
- 1:21:14Speaker 8: of reasons. It could be they've walked out their life,
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: they don't have a great relationship with the mother, the
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: mother's holding their child hostage, that they're involved in the
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: penal system. Some fathers that don't even know they are
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: the father of these young men. It's just so many variations.
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: And then some of the boys fathers have deceased. But
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: every boy down here is lacking a male role model,
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: and most of them live in houses that are predominantly women.
- 1:21:51Speaker 8: They live with their grandmother. They aren't they mother. I
- 1:21:55Speaker 8: can't tell you, man, the damage that I see in
- 1:21:59Speaker 8: these young men simply because they don't have a man
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: to ask those types of questions to that only a
- 1:22:08Speaker 8: man can answer. And listen, that's not a slight on
- 1:22:12Speaker 8: these single mothers out here, because Lord knows, they've done
- 1:22:15Speaker 8: a wonderful job raising these young men, trying to keep
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: them safe, trying to keep them on the right track.
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: But they bring them to the camp because they know
- 1:22:24Speaker 8: they can't answer these questions. And I applaud single mothers
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: who turn their boys over to us for this program,
- 1:22:31Speaker 8: to say, hey, look, I need some help, because you do.
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: Because there's just so many things that a young boy
- 1:22:37Speaker 8: needs answers to that women don't have. It's just like
- 1:22:42Speaker 8: my daughters can ask me questions.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: I have no clue what to answer is but their
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: mother would know the answer to that. I don't.
- 1:22:51Speaker 8: I just don't. I have no experience of being a woman.
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: I can't make that call.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: So I asked for more men, and I got some
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: men to volunteer.
- 1:23:04Speaker 8: But whether you come to my minnering camp and volunteer
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: or not, Brother, if you see a young man on
- 1:23:11Speaker 8: your block, a young man at your church, a young
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: man that you that you hear.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: Some stories about, and and he's headed in the wrong direction.
- 1:23:24Speaker 8: You have no idea the influence you could have, because
- 1:23:27Speaker 8: the problem with most of these young dudes is they
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: ain't hearing from nobody that's of right sound quality mind
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: thinking they're not hearing from anybody. So they're out there
- 1:23:37Speaker 8: in them streets here and all the wrong information, thinking
- 1:23:41Speaker 8: it's the right information when you know good and well
- 1:23:44Speaker 8: is wrong. Grab a young brother when you see him.
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: A cat that you meet in the airport. I met
- 1:23:50Speaker 8: a cat that I started minting. I was getting off
- 1:23:52Speaker 8: the plane from Africa one time, me and my wife
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: and we were in baggage claim, and this young dude
- 1:23:57Speaker 8: came up to me and said, oh, mister Harvey Man.
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: I know that I ain't supposed to ask for no picture, man,
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: but I can't have your picture.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: I'm a big fan.
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: I said, hold on, man, who's you talking to He said,
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: I'm talking to you, sir. I said, he met Jumi Faker. Man,
- 1:24:08Speaker 8: you trying to talk. I said, put your pants up
- 1:24:10Speaker 8: so I can hear what you're saying, because he was sagging,
- 1:24:13Speaker 8: and all of a sudden he just started pulling his pants.
- 1:24:15Speaker 8: I said, man, tighten your belt up so I can
- 1:24:17Speaker 8: talk to you. And the dude was so caught up
- 1:24:19Speaker 8: with the fact that I was talking to him, he
- 1:24:20Speaker 8: just pulled his pants on and touched his shirt and
- 1:24:22Speaker 8: tighten his belt up. I said, now talk to me.
- 1:24:24Speaker 8: He said, okay, I said, did you?
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: He said, listen? Why you having me do that?
- 1:24:28Speaker 8: I said, because I don't really like talking to people
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: with their underwear show. I said, Man, that's not cool.
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: I said, it's really not cool. I said, if you're
- 1:24:38Speaker 8: trying to be someone and make something about yourself, think
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: of everybody you know that's something that made something out
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: theyself that ain't a rapper that way they pants down
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: like that. He said, I don't know nobody, sir. I said,
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: so why would you do it? He said, wow, you're
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: the first person told me that. So I ended up
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: mentoring this kid. He was a high school at the time.
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: He had a little job out of Hearts feed Well.
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: That young man that graduated from college. I helped him
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: get a couple of things done. He'dne graduated.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: He's married now, he's got a little boy, and he
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: owns a food truck.
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: And all because one day I just stopped and said, hey, man,
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: pull your pants up. I talked him into getting a haircut.
- 1:25:27Speaker 8: The next time I came through the airport. I talked
- 1:25:30Speaker 8: to him a couple of times since, mister Hardy, see
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: that girl over there. Man, I really want to say
- 1:25:35Speaker 8: something to him. Man, I just don't know what to say.
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: I said, well, why don't you tell her that? Tell
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: her you want to say something to him, but you
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: don't know what to say. He said, you think she'll
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: believe that. I say, it's the truth, ain't it. You
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: just told it to me. I said, gonna tell it
- 1:25:48Speaker 8: to her now. But he had his shirt in his pants,
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: he had his felt tied up, and he had a
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: haircut to the girl talking.
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: Remember I told you graduated, he got married, he got
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: a little boy. That's the girl.
- 1:26:09Speaker 8: That's the girl. It just take a conversation, man, It
- 1:26:15Speaker 8: just take for you as a man to grab a
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: young man because you know something he don't know. You
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: know the way to manhood. Brothers, you all are experts
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: at that pass on that knowledge. Man, mental young man,
- 1:26:28Speaker 8: that conversation can change his whole life because he got
- 1:26:31Speaker 8: nobody to talk to. Those are my clothesing remarks for
- 1:26:34Speaker 8: the day. Hey listen, y'all. Entering camp starts tomorrow. I
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: hope we get a lot done this year. Thank you
