- 1:46Speaker 6: turn the water the mony up.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think that.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You all listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 4: one and only Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Man got a radio show and a whole lot mold too, man.
- 2:16Speaker 4: God is good to me. I have no other explanation,
- 2:19Speaker 4: if I have no other explanation of my existence and
- 2:23Speaker 4: where I stand in this thing called life, except if
- 2:26Speaker 4: it was not for the goodness of God Almighty, If
- 2:30Speaker 4: it was not for His grace and his mercy, There's
- 2:34Speaker 4: no way I could exist the way that I do.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I will not be who I am or where I am.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I am who I am and where I am simply
- 2:44Speaker 4: because God is who he is. If it was not
- 2:49Speaker 4: for God, I would have no testimony for you, because
- 2:53Speaker 4: I would have failed.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Every single test plain, pure and simple.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Sit here today and tell you flat out that it
- 3:04Speaker 4: is purely because of God's grace and mercy that I
- 3:09Speaker 4: exist today because of His favor. See now He shows
- 3:13Speaker 4: us favor in life because of a combination of things
- 3:17Speaker 4: I've discovered. And this is not the whole answer to life.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I can assure you as not. But this is a
- 3:24Speaker 4: combination that I've grown to understand better and better, and
- 3:28Speaker 4: I wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But here it is.
- 3:34Speaker 4: If you take faith and you combine it with an
- 3:41Speaker 4: incredible work ethic, then God has the greatest opportunities to
- 3:52Speaker 4: show you favor. That's the best way I can explain
- 3:56Speaker 4: success to you from my standpoint. It is the combination
- 4:01Speaker 4: of faith and work that produces the most opportunities for
- 4:07Speaker 4: God to show you favor. See a lot of times
- 4:10Speaker 4: we want God to bless us, but we ain't doing
- 4:12Speaker 4: nothing for him to bless So now we sideways in
- 4:16Speaker 4: the equation a little bit. But see, if you had
- 4:20Speaker 4: the faith in God that God can do anything but fail,
- 4:25Speaker 4: that God will get you through, that God will see
- 4:28Speaker 4: you through. That the God is the God you serve,
- 4:30Speaker 4: is the greatest giver of all good things, if you
- 4:33Speaker 4: kept that faith intact through it all, and you produced
- 4:39Speaker 4: an incredible work ethic that allows the most opportunities for
- 4:44Speaker 4: God to show you favor. See without that what you
- 4:49Speaker 4: want God to do? See, you can have faith and
- 4:53Speaker 4: be sitting at the house watching TV. There's nothing being produced,
- 4:58Speaker 4: no opportunities for God to show you favor. And you
- 5:02Speaker 4: got to do some things man, that you are uncomfortable
- 5:06Speaker 4: doing or don't feel like doing, or something that don't
- 5:10Speaker 4: have the right payoff right in front of your face,
- 5:13Speaker 4: with the faith that it'll pay off later on. See,
- 5:17Speaker 4: too many people are working for the right now reward,
- 5:20Speaker 4: and the right now reward is not how it works.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Sometimes the reward is coming later on up the road.
- 5:27Speaker 4: But the only way you can know that is if
- 5:29Speaker 4: you got to You got to apply the faith and
- 5:32Speaker 4: see the reason you don't know that that it's coming
- 5:36Speaker 4: like that, or you have to have faith to believe
- 5:38Speaker 4: that it's coming. Because faith is the belief in things
- 5:43Speaker 4: that you cannot see.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That's what faith is. You know you're standing at let
- 5:49Speaker 2: me give you exam.
- 5:49Speaker 4: You're standing at the crosswalk with a walk sign on
- 5:53Speaker 4: it and the sign flashing on the corner. Don't walk
- 5:56Speaker 4: then that the signs say walk. What do you think
- 6:01Speaker 4: your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Is what? Pretty good?
- 6:06Speaker 4: Because guess what the signs say walk. You can see
- 6:09Speaker 4: the other side. There's other people in the cross walk walking,
- 6:13Speaker 4: So guess what. You strike out blindly? It don't take
- 6:16Speaker 4: a lot of faith to get across that streets.
- 6:20Speaker 2: That's not what I'm talking to you about.
- 6:23Speaker 4: I'm talking about the faith, the belief in things that
- 6:26Speaker 4: you cannot see, the faith that what I'm doing today,
- 6:31Speaker 4: I believe in my heart of heart that.
- 6:34Speaker 2: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me.
- 6:37Speaker 4: That God is a true and living God, that he
- 6:39Speaker 4: keeps his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm
- 6:42Speaker 4: working towards right now gonna pay off later on. See,
- 6:45Speaker 4: too many people want the reward right now. See that's
- 6:49Speaker 4: not the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing
- 6:53Speaker 4: to do, if it's if it's a good thing to do,
- 6:57Speaker 4: if it's a just thing to do. See if it's
- 7:00Speaker 4: in it it ain't God. You can just clear it
- 7:03Speaker 4: on up right there. You can stop all the wondering.
- 7:06Speaker 4: If that's his voice talking to you, if it's the
- 7:08Speaker 4: right thing to do. If it's sin in it, it's
- 7:12Speaker 4: not God talking to you.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Kill it.
- 7:16Speaker 4: You can shut it down. You ain't got the wonder
- 7:18Speaker 4: about it. Go down there secret venge that ain't God.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Go tell them off when you see him. That ain't God.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Anything that's God seeing in it is not God's voice
- 7:27Speaker 4: telling you to do it, So you can.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You can kill that conversation today. That's how you know.
- 7:32Speaker 4: But if you aligning yourself up man and you and
- 7:35Speaker 4: what you're doing is just and right and correct and
- 7:38Speaker 4: pleasing in the sight of God, it'll pay off for
- 7:42Speaker 4: you later on. And see, here's the best way I
- 7:47Speaker 4: can tell to you. His Another one when you're going somewhere.
- 7:52Speaker 4: When when you're on the road to going somewhere and
- 7:56Speaker 4: you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Let's say you've set a god or a vision for yourself.
- 8:01Speaker 4: You know where you want to get to. You got
- 8:03Speaker 4: a good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 4: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:14Speaker 4: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:18Speaker 4: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 4: three of those things, when it don't look like it's
- 8:24Speaker 4: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 4: I know he don't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:32Speaker 4: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 4: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:37Speaker 4: because you'll find yourself complaining.
- 8:39Speaker 2: And when you complain and see.
- 8:41Speaker 4: What you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 4: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:49Speaker 4: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 4: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 4: of your blessing that's actually happening to you. What really, man,
- 9:01Speaker 4: of all the times to register a complaint to God,
- 9:05Speaker 4: to sit up and go, hey, man, I didn't I
- 9:07Speaker 4: wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man,
- 9:11Speaker 4: you in. It's a tornado whirling around you. You ain't got
- 9:14Speaker 4: time to ease back in. You gots it. Go on
- 9:16Speaker 4: and jump back in it. It is what it is
- 9:19Speaker 4: to whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate
- 9:22Speaker 4: the blessings. Don't get so caught up in the complaints
- 9:25Speaker 4: that you lose sight of the blessings.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Man.
- 9:27Speaker 4: God got a lot for you in your life, man,
- 9:29Speaker 4: but you got to have them two things, y'all. You
- 9:31Speaker 4: got to take that faith and you got to ply
- 9:35Speaker 4: a crazy work ethic to it. And that creates the
- 9:38Speaker 4: most opportunities for God to show your favor. And when
- 9:42Speaker 4: God starts showing your favor, man, all them seeds you
- 9:45Speaker 4: plant it that, all of that wheat you've been sowing,
- 9:49Speaker 4: all of that hard work you've been put in God
- 9:52Speaker 4: to pay it off, and He'll pay it off.
- 9:54Speaker 2: In ways that you don't even see coming.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Okay, cool, you're listenings to the Steve Harvey Morreton Show.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your attention please. It's
- 10:07Speaker 4: a new day. God has done it again. Just amazing
- 10:11Speaker 4: what he does. Start thinking about that when you wake up, man,
- 10:14Speaker 4: how grateful you should be for waking up in the morning.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's such a blessing man, such a gift. That's why
- 10:19Speaker 2: they call.
- 10:20Speaker 4: It the President. You are living in the present. That's
- 10:23Speaker 4: a gift, man, That's a great gift to get every day.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And stop saying you're not a morning person when waking
- 10:33Speaker 4: up is.
- 10:33Speaker 2: The whole goal.
- 10:35Speaker 4: So why would God wake you up, give you this
- 10:38Speaker 4: gift in president and you say, dat ain't what I like.
- 10:41Speaker 4: You're not gonna have no job, okay, And pretty soon
- 10:44Speaker 4: you're gonna have a way to wake up here because
- 10:46Speaker 4: ain't nobody paying you half day? And then you can
- 10:48Speaker 4: forward to stay where you stay. Now you're not driving
- 10:50Speaker 4: to work no more. You're gonna have to get a
- 10:51Speaker 4: bus packed, all right, yeah, and all that stopping the starbirds.
- 10:57Speaker 4: You're not finna do all that either. You just make
- 11:00Speaker 4: off at home and a brangle blogna sandwich in Okay, huh,
- 11:07Speaker 4: that's where you had it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: That's where you head. Ladies, gentlemen, Welcome to the ride.

- 12:02Speaker 2: pure joy.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Oh it's had its struggles and setbacks in it and
- 12:06Speaker 4: all like that, but at the end of the day,
- 12:08Speaker 4: I wouldn't want to be nothing else.
- 12:09Speaker 9: Man.

- 12:24Speaker 2: Whatever come on with it. I know what it is.
- 12:25Speaker 2: You're jealous. I got racism.
- 12:28Speaker 4: You're jealous, especially American racism. You can't understand how we
- 12:36Speaker 4: still standing after all the racist elements in this country
- 12:41Speaker 4: has done. I'm just talking about the racist element. I'm
- 12:44Speaker 4: not talking about whites. I'm talking about the racist element
- 12:48Speaker 4: that's been done. Your policies, your leadership, the different administrations
- 12:53Speaker 4: you done put on us. All of the white supremacy
- 12:56Speaker 4: groups that you allow to exist. You know, all the
- 12:59Speaker 4: freedoms you give them, all that we still here. Your
- 13:03Speaker 4: four hundred year institutional slavery, We still here. And then
- 13:09Speaker 4: you got the nerve to still want to enact some
- 13:11Speaker 4: of them policies, and we still here. I know why
- 13:14Speaker 4: you hate us. Come on, I know exactly why the
- 13:18Speaker 4: portion of this country hates us. I know why they
- 13:21Speaker 4: hate us because you can't believe we still here, and
- 13:25Speaker 4: you mad because you without none of those setbacks, still

- 16:38Speaker 5: thought I was gonna get her. I want to take

- 17:20Speaker 5: And how you carry yourself? You know?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:21Speaker 13: But hey, hey, but my mom ain't no cougar like that.
- 17:25Speaker 13: And I know she ain't coming after you right now.

- 18:08Speaker 13: I'm the man of this house, all right. You calling
- 18:11Speaker 13: to ask my mama on a date? Yeah, you might
- 18:14Speaker 13: as well just stick the church dog, because you know,
- 18:16Speaker 13: as I said, be blessed. But it ain't gonna be
- 18:18Speaker 13: no blessing from me to you. I tell you that
- 18:22Speaker 13: right now.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Okay, I'm not looking for a blessing from you. At all. Bro.
- 18:26Speaker 5: You might now I'm less, but I respect the fact
- 18:30Speaker 5: that you've been overseas and you've been fighting for this country. Okay,
- 18:33Speaker 5: But if I decide I want to speak to miss
- 18:36Speaker 5: Birds about going out, I say Miss Burns has every
- 18:38Speaker 5: right to decide if she would like to go out
- 18:40Speaker 5: with Gordon or not, and Gordon wants to take her out.
- 18:43Speaker 5: I took her up.
- 18:45Speaker 13: Hold up, look, brother, I.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Don't care how old you say you are. All right,
- 18:49Speaker 5: Number one, you're too young, as I already mentioned.
- 18:51Speaker 13: All right, this ain't going down with.
- 18:54Speaker 5: You and my mom. I'm straight up. Hey man, that's
- 18:57Speaker 5: for your mama to decide. No, no, no, you can
- 19:00Speaker 5: you bring up my mama. You letting the word your
- 19:02Speaker 5: mama come out your mouth again, that's gonna get you up,
- 19:05Speaker 5: all right. I don't know where you're from. I don't
- 19:07Speaker 5: give how old you are. I'm pretty thick.
- 19:10Speaker 13: I know what church my mama go to, and it
- 19:12Speaker 13: ain't gonna be her and you you ain't gonna be asking.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Her out, all right.
- 19:16Speaker 13: I don't give what it take. I would show up
- 19:19Speaker 13: on Sunday, catch up in the pulpit or wherever you're
- 19:23Speaker 13: gonna be sitting in the back in the choir. It
- 19:25Speaker 13: don't matter. Something is going down. You wire not gonna
- 19:28Speaker 13: get with my mama like that. You got that.
- 19:30Speaker 5: That's something for your mama to decide. If your mama
- 19:32Speaker 5: want to go out with me to have dinner. I
- 19:34Speaker 5: ain't nothing wrong with that.
- 19:35Speaker 13: Man, I'm deciding it right now.
- 19:38Speaker 5: It ain't gonna happen. I told you before, deve blessed
- 19:41Speaker 5: or get your whoop. You got two choices, all right.
- 19:44Speaker 13: I didn't fight. Let's see this three years to come
- 19:47Speaker 13: back and also deal with my daddy died, and then
- 19:51Speaker 13: come back. If I'm suffering from PSD, dog, I don't
- 19:53Speaker 13: know what I'm gonna do unless you want to get
- 19:56Speaker 13: it like that something from once a PSD post traumatic
- 20:00Speaker 13: stress syndrome, and I will release.
- 20:02Speaker 5: All that on you got that one. I don't play. Hey, man, listen,
- 20:07Speaker 5: I don't want no trouble. It don't matter to me.
- 20:09Speaker 5: You can quot you. Okay, Look man, listen, I ain't
- 20:12Speaker 5: trying to have no trouble out you.
- 20:13Speaker 13: Man.
- 20:13Speaker 5: All I'm finna say is this right here. I'ma I
- 20:16Speaker 5: talk to you mama on Sunday. Okay. You ain't gonna
- 20:19Speaker 5: talk them, are you, not hear me.
- 20:21Speaker 9: Man.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Okay, I'm crazy right now? Okay? Can I say this?
- 20:24Speaker 5: Can I say one more thing to you? Man? Before
- 20:26Speaker 5: you explode? You ain't got nothing else to say. I
- 20:28Speaker 5: got one more thing before you explode.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Man.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Is you listening? Yeah? Man, James? What hey? Man? I
- 20:35Speaker 5: want to tell you this.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Man.
- 20:36Speaker 5: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Hobby Morning Show.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Your mama, I got me the brank phone call. You
- 20:44Speaker 5: get out of here. This is who Hey man, This
- 20:48Speaker 5: is nephew Tommy from the Steve Hobby Morning Show.

- 20:51Speaker 5: Your mama told me. She said, my son been overseas,
- 20:54Speaker 5: He've been fighting. I'm glad to have him home. She said.
- 20:57Speaker 5: We got that back in the spirit of a man, Mama,
- 21:02Speaker 5: are you are you kidding?
- 21:03Speaker 13: Be made?
- 21:04Speaker 5: We got you good. We listen to this show overseas. Man.
- 21:09Speaker 5: First of all, I gotta say thank you for fighting
- 21:11Speaker 5: for this country. I want to ask you one more thing.

- 21:23Speaker 1: Man, Thank you nephew.
- 21:27Speaker 10: Coming up next, it is as the CLO, our Chief
- 21:30Speaker 10: Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building right after this.

- 22:15Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 22:16Speaker 10: In Entertainment News, we'll have some trending stories and find
- 22:20Speaker 10: out what the guys are doing for the Big Game
- 22:23Speaker 10: on Sunday. Can't wait to hear that. And that's all
- 22:25Speaker 10: coming up at the top of the hour. But right
- 22:27Speaker 10: now it is time to ask the CLO our Chief
- 22:31Speaker 10: Love Officer Steve Harvey. All right, CLO, you ready, Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 10: this is from Katrina in Fairfield. Katrina writes, I had
- 22:40Speaker 10: dental surgery and I was on a painkiller and I
- 22:43Speaker 10: was feeling loopy. Okay, my husband knew that, but he
- 22:47Speaker 10: still asked if I think of other men while we're
- 22:51Speaker 10: having sex. I told him that I think of Chris
- 22:54Speaker 10: Brown sometimes.
- 22:56Speaker 2: God, can he.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Be mad at me about that? You know, Chrispy dancing
- 23:01Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 23:02Speaker 4: You know, I ain't never been that loopy before, even
- 23:10Speaker 4: in my look. And I've come out of some anesthesia.
- 23:12Speaker 4: But I'll uh huh, I squint when I come out
- 23:16Speaker 4: of anesthesia. Make sure it's her, and then I can
- 23:21Speaker 4: monitor that. I don't know what you need to quit.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I don't know what's wrong with you and why your
- 23:26Speaker 4: husband asked you something like that.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the issue.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Well, you know, if you wanted to answer, now, you
- 23:34Speaker 2: got yes, Chris Brown.
- 23:35Speaker 9: Yes, it's not what you're finna donna make me some soup.
- 23:40Speaker 2: You're gonna do a flip or something like what?
- 23:46Speaker 1: But he's mad at her about that?
- 23:48Speaker 10: Yeah, all right, let's go to Tim in Memphis. Tim
- 23:52Speaker 10: in Memphis, Right, So I went too far in an
- 23:55Speaker 10: argument with my wife after she called me a mama's boy.
- 23:59Speaker 10: I said something very bad about her dad that wasn't
- 24:02Speaker 10: present in her life. I told her we need to
- 24:05Speaker 10: stop going so low when we argue. Why can't she
- 24:08Speaker 10: admit she was wrong too?
- 24:12Speaker 3: Well?
- 24:14Speaker 4: See she called you a mama's boy, yeah, which was
- 24:19Speaker 4: more at you and you all are going too low
- 24:22Speaker 4: because words hurt. And there are some words in a marriage, man,
- 24:26Speaker 4: that you can say to a man You ain't gonna
- 24:28Speaker 4: be able to get that back. And it's the words
- 24:30Speaker 4: you can say to a woman. You ain't gonna be
- 24:32Speaker 4: able to get that back, you know, man, And and
- 24:35Speaker 4: it causes permanent damage. And so if you all know that,
- 24:41Speaker 4: why do you do it? You a mama's boy where
- 24:47Speaker 4: your daddy at m I would call you a daddy's girl,
- 24:52Speaker 4: But you ain't got one, see right there, dog, see
- 25:00Speaker 4: mama's boy, you and daddy's girl. So now y'all man,
- 25:04Speaker 4: y'all stop, y'all stop, because I'm telling you, man, the
- 25:07Speaker 4: words can cause some damage that's not repairable.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't take it back, Yeah, I.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Had, big dog.
- 25:14Speaker 9: The last place you want to be arguing with somebody
- 25:17Speaker 9: is in Memphis. You can self hurt at Memphis. You
- 25:20Speaker 9: don't want to you don't want to be You're on
- 25:23Speaker 9: first forty eight and I ain't never.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Run out of episodes in Memphis.
- 25:30Speaker 1: All right? Moving on to Amina in Miami, I meana right.
- 25:35Speaker 10: So I used to take my coworker home when her
- 25:37Speaker 10: car was in the shop. She ended up getting a
- 25:40Speaker 10: new car, and she barely speaks to me. Now she's
- 25:43Speaker 10: acting brand new and hanging out with a lady that
- 25:45Speaker 10: drives a bens like hers. Should I tell her how
- 25:49Speaker 10: I feel?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Is this a it's a woman or a guy that
- 25:52Speaker 2: wrote this letter?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Amina? The woman?
- 25:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 25:55Speaker 2: Amina?
- 25:56Speaker 4: Oh, she was just using it, yeah for the ride?
- 26:00Speaker 4: Got no bands? Now you can't hang out with them.
- 26:02Speaker 4: You don't see that, yo, But they got you. Look
- 26:06Speaker 4: you got cute little camera and all this hell.
- 26:08Speaker 2: But she don't have no opinions.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Okay, now you can't hang out with her, Ama, You
- 26:13Speaker 4: know what I mean. She don't hardly talk to you
- 26:15Speaker 4: no more. But she needed you. That's how people are.
- 26:18Speaker 4: When people show you who they are, believe them and
- 26:24Speaker 4: going about your business. Why would you want her back
- 26:27Speaker 4: in your life if that's how she is.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's facts right.
- 26:34Speaker 2: But cars get stolen all the time just because.
- 26:38Speaker 1: It needs I gonna steal her car just because she's.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Ride. You might need another ride.
- 26:48Speaker 1: All right, We're moving on. Is that it? That's your
- 26:52Speaker 1: final party shot.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Nothing else to say about.
- 26:56Speaker 5: It, all right?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Last one, Steve, Last one. This is for Ron in Philly.
- 27:03Speaker 10: Ron writes, my wife and I make good money, but
- 27:06Speaker 10: she wastes all of her money on designer purses and
- 27:10Speaker 10: then wants to use all of my money for necessities
- 27:13Speaker 10: like food and clothes for our son. How do I
- 27:15Speaker 10: put her on a budget and how can I keep
- 27:17Speaker 10: her from shopping?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Well? This is good luck with that. See her money,
- 27:22Speaker 2: your money, That her money, my money. Marriage.
- 27:25Speaker 4: That's the biggest problem you all are going to have
- 27:27Speaker 4: is finances very quickly. This is the one hundred and
- 27:30Speaker 4: twelfth time I've done this on this show. I learned
- 27:33Speaker 4: it from the late great Roger Salter in Chicago, who
- 27:38Speaker 4: was my financial planner for years, and he did teach
- 27:41Speaker 4: me the most about money than anybody. Roger Salter told
- 27:45Speaker 4: me that every married couple should have four bank accounts.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Each one of your check goes into the main bank account.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Both checks go into the main bank account. In that
- 27:56Speaker 4: bank account is where you take care of all necessities, household, cars, insurance, groceries, heat, electric,
- 28:06Speaker 4: all of that, and then you have an account for savings.
- 28:13Speaker 4: After you put that money in there, you should save
- 28:15Speaker 4: a certain percentage every week. I don't care if it's
- 28:18Speaker 4: two percent, five ten percent, whatever you can afford, put
- 28:22Speaker 4: it in the savings account, and that requires two signatures
- 28:26Speaker 4: to move. The joint account requires two signatures to move.
- 28:33Speaker 4: And then the other two accounts you need to have
- 28:35Speaker 4: is your wife has a personal account and you have
- 28:38Speaker 4: a personal account. You all decide what each other's allowance
- 28:42Speaker 4: should be. Now, fellas, you're not going to like this,
- 28:51Speaker 4: but the woman's allowance should be a little bit bigger
- 28:53Speaker 4: than yours.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Of course, well.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Just listen to me.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Being their maintenance is more expensive, hair makeup, toenails, all
- 29:08Speaker 4: of that beauty, skin care treatment. You ain't got nothing
- 29:11Speaker 4: but some cocoa butter lotion, some shape buddy in your thing,
- 29:15Speaker 4: and some deodoring.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Right God put it on, Okay, you little stink yourself.
- 29:19Speaker 1: To work, brun.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Now she should have a little bit more. Now, whatever
- 29:25Speaker 4: she does with her money, you have absolutely no say so.
- 29:29Speaker 4: And whatever you do with your money, she has no
- 29:32Speaker 4: say so. She doesn't have access to your account, and
- 29:35Speaker 4: you don't have access to her account. It keeps a
- 29:38Speaker 4: form of individuality in the relationship while you work and
- 29:42Speaker 4: strive and build together. Best advice I ever got for couples.
- 29:46Speaker 4: It will cut that dinner. You want to take all
- 29:48Speaker 4: her money and buy person? Let her go ahead. Yeah,
- 29:52Speaker 4: money for the sun, come out to join account.
- 29:55Speaker 1: All right, great advice. CLO coming up at the top
- 29:59Speaker 1: of the hour, will you don't get some small persons.
- 30:03Speaker 1: We will have some entertainment news for you coming up
- 30:06Speaker 1: right after this.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Gos people. This is Kurk Franklin.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Hey, this is seca con what's going on? This is
- 30:11Speaker 1: your boy Kevin Hart?
- 30:12Speaker 3: What up?
- 30:12Speaker 2: This is your boy Chris Brighten, your boy.
- 30:14Speaker 5: It's a big Snoop dogg.
- 30:18Speaker 13: Hi.
- 30:18Speaker 2: This is your boy Sandy Entertainer.
- 30:21Speaker 1: This is Yolanda Adams less self.
- 30:23Speaker 4: As DJ Cavin And you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning's Show.
- 30:27Speaker 4: There's morning shows and there's the Greatest Steve Harvey Morning's Show.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Another one.
- 30:32Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:39Speaker 10: In a recent interview with The Cut, halle Berry reflected
- 30:43Speaker 10: on her two thousand and two Oscar win for Best
- 30:45Speaker 10: Actress for her starring role in Monsters Ball. Hollie stated
- 30:49Speaker 10: that despite the historic achievement, she was quote still black
- 30:53Speaker 10: that next morning, and she quickly learned that she still
- 30:56Speaker 10: faced the same racial and gender biases in Hollywood. Hallie
- 31:00Speaker 10: noted that the award did not transform her career as
- 31:03Speaker 10: she had hoped, nor did it immediately open doors for
- 31:07Speaker 10: other black actresses. Hallie said, quote, directors were still saying,
- 31:11Speaker 10: if we put a black woman in this role, what
- 31:14Speaker 10: does that mean for.
- 31:15Speaker 1: The whole story? Do I have to cast a black man?
- 31:18Speaker 3: Now?
- 31:19Speaker 10: Then it's a black movie, and black movies don't do
- 31:21Speaker 10: well overseas, they don't sell overseas. So now that halle
- 31:25Speaker 10: Berry is almost sixty years old, she expressed gratitude for
- 31:28Speaker 10: still working and finding roles that resonate with her.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Is this a surprise, though?
- 31:34Speaker 10: Are you not surprised at race and genders still play
- 31:38Speaker 10: Petisher girl?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Halle Berry?
- 31:39Speaker 10: We love her, but you know the fact that race
- 31:42Speaker 10: and genders still play a big role in Hollywood.
- 31:45Speaker 4: It's always been that way in Hollywood. Hollywood has lines
- 31:48Speaker 4: in it. They draw lines. That's why Hollywood is so
- 31:52Speaker 4: restricted because they have these lines. Because the people who
- 31:56Speaker 4: are in decision making processes, who greenlight movies. They have
- 32:00Speaker 4: these lines that play out in their head. See, Hollywood
- 32:04Speaker 4: is not a typical, typical of America. Hollywood movies that
- 32:10Speaker 4: come out of America, they come out of Hollywood don't
- 32:12Speaker 4: look like America. See they way over there on the
- 32:15Speaker 4: West Coast. They all liberal, they all green lighting projects,
- 32:19Speaker 4: but it don't look like America. Hollywood don't know how
- 32:23Speaker 4: race really is in America.
- 32:25Speaker 2: They don't know it.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Green like liberal.
- 32:28Speaker 10: Though if they're liberal, it seems like there would be
- 32:31Speaker 10: more movies for black acos were liberal.
- 32:36Speaker 9: Let me let me ask you that when you see
- 32:39Speaker 9: white actors and actresses that we see them all the time.
- 32:41Speaker 9: They got hundreds of new movies going on and they're
- 32:43Speaker 9: doing it. When you see black actors, black actors like oh,
- 32:47Speaker 9: it's his time, Oh it's his time. Why it can't
- 32:49Speaker 9: be aired by the time, It's like you gotta wait,
- 32:53Speaker 9: Oh it's his time now. Oh he's the one now,
- 32:55Speaker 9: or she's the one now.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Taylor y and you didn't only have one? What is
- 33:03Speaker 1: that about us?
- 33:04Speaker 4: They got because because Hollywood has lines and they're afraid
- 33:11Speaker 4: if they make one. Okay, when you put Tianna Taylor
- 33:13Speaker 4: in that movie with Leonardo, whoever his name is. Okay,
- 33:20Speaker 4: did you did you have to mention she was black
- 33:22Speaker 4: in there? Did you have to put a black man
- 33:24Speaker 4: in there?
- 33:25Speaker 3: No?
- 33:25Speaker 4: Man, If you quit mentioning the lines, it looks like America.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Nobody said why is it a black chick in there?
- 33:33Speaker 4: With Leonardo? They just put it in that Jurassic Park
- 33:37Speaker 4: when Steven Spielberg put the black girl as his daughter
- 33:40Speaker 4: and never mentioned it. Bridgerton, Shonda Rhymes has broken all
- 33:45Speaker 4: of that down with Bridgerton put the people in here
- 33:48Speaker 4: and quitting mentioning it, and it was a huge success.
- 33:51Speaker 4: But now here they come now Hollywood, you know who
- 33:54Speaker 4: run Hollywood. They put a gay scene in everything. Everything
- 33:59Speaker 4: now has a gay scene and they don't have to
- 34:01Speaker 4: mention it. They just put it in there, have nothing
- 34:03Speaker 4: to do with the storyline or nothing. They just put
- 34:05Speaker 4: it in. So why can't we but see and then
- 34:10Speaker 4: let me tell you the statement they said, if we
- 34:13Speaker 4: make it a black movie, black movies don't sell overseas.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Do they ever mention to you how many white movies
- 34:19Speaker 4: don't sell here all Overseas?
- 34:20Speaker 3: They ever tell you that now ain't selling?
- 34:23Speaker 2: What do they ever ain't right now.
- 34:28Speaker 3: That ain't set overseas or here?
- 34:32Speaker 4: Where is that number of how many white movies flop
- 34:36Speaker 4: at the box office and don't and don't make it overseas?
- 34:39Speaker 4: But as soon as a black person make a movie
- 34:41Speaker 4: and they do well over here but it don't do
- 34:43Speaker 4: well overseas, well, that's better than the ones y'all.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Put out that don't do well here all overseas.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Who are these decision makers in Hollywood?
- 34:52Speaker 14: Though?
- 34:52Speaker 1: Who are they?
- 34:54Speaker 2: They? They are?
- 34:55Speaker 4: It's a lot of uh, what do you call it?
- 34:57Speaker 4: Nepotism in that business. A lot of people get child
- 35:00Speaker 4: because they know somebody, they family members, and now.
- 35:03Speaker 2: They're green light and stuff. That's ridiculous, are you hey?
- 35:06Speaker 8: Man?
- 35:07Speaker 4: Just go on Netflix and go through the movies that
- 35:09Speaker 4: you don't watch, and you know why you.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Don't click on that movie because it sounds ridiculous.
- 35:16Speaker 4: They green like the more ridiculous mess than you've ever seen.
- 35:21Speaker 4: But all they need is the right white people to agree,
- 35:25Speaker 4: and all of a sudden that movie get greenlit and
- 35:27Speaker 4: don't do nothing. But let a black movie don't do nothing. Now,
- 35:31Speaker 4: see it didn't, it didn't, It didn't. What about when
- 35:33Speaker 4: white movies don't do well? But then we have right,
- 35:37Speaker 4: we don't like, which are black beauty, what they call.
- 35:42Speaker 1: That beauty and black Tyler Perry's.
- 35:45Speaker 2: You see how good that is?
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yeah, the Oval Office, he did. You see how good
- 35:50Speaker 4: that was? But see, they don't mention that. But they
- 35:55Speaker 4: tell you that the black movies don't do well over
- 35:57Speaker 4: the overseas. But black people do. Help me understand that
- 36:01Speaker 4: the black culture is alive and well overseas.
- 36:06Speaker 10: Okay, all right, I mean, but that is one of
- 36:08Speaker 10: the biggest complaints from black actors and actresses right that
- 36:11Speaker 10: they're the lack of roles, the lack of diversity, the screenwriters,
- 36:17Speaker 10: you know, all of that.
- 36:18Speaker 4: Because they keep it white. Jerry Seinfeld didn't have no
- 36:23Speaker 4: black writers. Trends didn't have no black writers. And the
- 36:27Speaker 4: only way to get black writers is to get black
- 36:30Speaker 4: shows and put black writers on it. Jamie Fox, Steve Harvey,
- 36:36Speaker 4: the Parker's Uh Parenthood. Back in the day, we had
- 36:42Speaker 4: black shows and we put black people to work because
- 36:46Speaker 4: if we didn't hide them, they weren't going to be
- 36:48Speaker 4: in the room.
- 36:50Speaker 2: The black writers at Home Improvement, rose Ane.
- 36:56Speaker 9: Black shows, you gotta have black writers if you wanted
- 36:58Speaker 9: to sign right white people.
- 37:01Speaker 3: You ain't lying Tommy.
- 37:06Speaker 2: TV.
- 37:07Speaker 4: If you get a black TV show on Network TV,
- 37:10Speaker 4: a black sitcom, it's gonna have to have white person
- 37:12Speaker 4: in it.
- 37:13Speaker 10: Yep, all right, this is always an ongoing conversation. We'll
- 37:18Speaker 10: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 37:20Speaker 10: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 39:42Speaker 4: Now I may order it from somewhere.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Uh, that's a lot of food. How many people?
- 39:47Speaker 2: There's just one pizza. It's just it's just one pizza.

- 45:48Speaker 4: You know.
- 45:48Speaker 2: These people ain't never you know, they ain't never been

- 47:04Speaker 2: That's which way is up?
- 47:05Speaker 9: That your pride that it's a classic classic Rich replied movie.
- 47:09Speaker 2: You don't want to miss.
- 47:10Speaker 9: That's first time I saw somebody play three different people.
- 47:12Speaker 2: That first time I saw outstanding.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that.
- 47:19Speaker 9: I got all these people in my head just because
- 47:21Speaker 9: of that.
- 47:24Speaker 2: All right, get ready this right here.
- 47:26Speaker 9: You know, we we kids are in school and we're
- 47:29Speaker 9: having a bit of a problem because some of the
- 47:31Speaker 9: kids are a little overweight. The title of this is
- 47:35Speaker 9: baby Wait, Baby wait.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:38Speaker 9: What we're doing, Shirley caller, Julie. What we're doing right
- 47:41Speaker 9: here is you know, I'm the bus driver and we
- 47:45Speaker 9: can't have these kids getting on this bus when they
- 47:47Speaker 9: wait too much, you understand. So what we're doing, We're
- 47:51Speaker 9: putting a scale out there and you're gonna weigh yourself
- 47:54Speaker 9: for you get them. Listen, the axle, the axle on
- 47:56Speaker 9: the bus. It just can't take all that, It can't
- 47:59Speaker 9: take all that. If your baby over wight, then your
- 48:02Speaker 9: baby gotta walk the school.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 48:05Speaker 9: If your baby yes, If your baby over wait, your
- 48:09Speaker 9: baby gotta walk school.
- 48:10Speaker 2: That's how it is.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Can you say overweight again, it's overweight. You cannot.
- 48:15Speaker 2: If the baby over wait, then the baby got a
- 48:18Speaker 2: hawk school.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Okay? What what.
- 48:24Speaker 2: All right?
- 48:25Speaker 9: And when I come back and take where I'm gonna
- 48:27Speaker 9: be next weekend, we're gonna we're gonna have a little fun.
- 48:29Speaker 9: But right now, your baby over wate. We weigh in
- 48:32Speaker 9: your baby. We gotta scale. We put it on the
- 48:33Speaker 9: ground out there in front of the bus. Your baby
- 48:36Speaker 9: gets got the wait. If your baby is tipping the scale.
- 48:38Speaker 9: Your baby gotta walk school. That's how it is to
- 48:40Speaker 9: it all right, this goes after all of the bus
- 48:42Speaker 9: drivers out there across the country. We love y'all. You
- 48:45Speaker 9: take care of them kids. And now over wait, put
- 48:47Speaker 9: them off the bus. Let's go baby, over wait, baby
- 48:51Speaker 9: gotta walk. Let's go cat up.
- 48:54Speaker 5: Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach trading police.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Yeah, this is training.
- 49:00Speaker 5: Uh Chana. My name is Ernest, Ernest Murphy down here
- 49:03Speaker 5: at the bus born with from the school district. Your
- 49:06Speaker 5: son is Devin, am I right? H yeah, okay, Now
- 49:11Speaker 5: he's in the sixth grade. I think yeah, yeah, everything
- 49:15Speaker 5: is fired. I think he's on he rides bus ninety,
- 49:19Speaker 5: Bus ninety three. Does he ride bus ninety three? Are
- 49:21Speaker 5: you meaning ye us number?
- 49:23Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 49:24Speaker 1: Yeah he does.
- 49:25Speaker 5: Okay. So now the school board that's implemented a new
- 49:29Speaker 5: rule and we're having to call a lot of parents
- 49:34Speaker 5: and let him know about the new rule for us
- 49:37Speaker 5: as far as the buses are concerned. Now, from my understanding,
- 49:41Speaker 5: each child that gets on the bus has to weigh
- 49:44Speaker 5: less than one hundred and twenty five pounds. That's what
- 49:48Speaker 5: the new rule that is implemented by the board. What
- 49:51Speaker 5: did you again, each child that gets on the bus
- 49:59Speaker 5: has to weigh less than one hundred and twenty five pounds.
- 50:03Speaker 15: I don't understand.
- 50:05Speaker 5: I don't understand. So's okay, So what does what does
- 50:09Speaker 5: that mean? So starting on Monday, Starting on Monday, what
- 50:13Speaker 5: they're gonna do is they gonna the bus driver will
- 50:16Speaker 5: have a scale and he will wait the kids so
- 50:19Speaker 5: they get on the bus. I understand. Man in the doctor,
- 50:23Speaker 5: like I say, I'm calling, I'm calling every patent that
- 50:26Speaker 5: they wait.
- 50:27Speaker 15: He said, you're gonna you're gonna wait my child before
- 50:31Speaker 15: he gets on the bus.
- 50:32Speaker 5: That's that's what the new rulee, that's what the new rule.
- 50:34Speaker 5: Then if he's over one twenty five, then he still
- 50:37Speaker 5: either have to wait, so you'll have to take him
- 50:39Speaker 5: to school.
- 50:41Speaker 15: I have a job, Okay, I have a job. I
- 50:43Speaker 15: was not gonna take my kids in school. But doesn't
- 50:45Speaker 15: I don't. That's what the bus explores. That's what my
- 50:47Speaker 15: tax dollars pay for.
- 50:50Speaker 8: Right.
- 50:51Speaker 15: But the reasoning, the rationale.
- 50:53Speaker 5: Behind this, Okay, let me tell you what's going on.
- 50:55Speaker 5: From what they're saying, the weight of these children is
- 51:00Speaker 5: wearing down these transmissions on this bus, on these buses,
- 51:03Speaker 5: transmission transmission that cannot take all of that. So they
- 51:08Speaker 5: are limiting the weight of each child. So now how
- 51:11Speaker 5: much does this discrimination?
- 51:14Speaker 15: I think that's discrimination?
- 51:16Speaker 5: But that is your son over Is he over one
- 51:19Speaker 5: hundred and twenty five pounds?
- 51:21Speaker 1: Okay?
- 51:22Speaker 5: He is? Okay, then you're gonna you're probably gonna have
- 51:26Speaker 5: to take your son to school or he gonna have
- 51:28Speaker 5: to walk. He probably need to walk to school if
- 51:31Speaker 5: he already hunting twenty five pounds?
- 51:36Speaker 15: What's the a are you talking about?
- 51:40Speaker 5: All I'm saying. All I'm saying is if your son
- 51:45Speaker 5: is overweight one hundred and twenty five, you know, maybe
- 51:49Speaker 5: the exercise is doing good. When like I said that,
- 51:51Speaker 5: the school is not gonna allow him on the bus.
- 51:55Speaker 1: So I will this.
- 51:58Speaker 15: Who do I need to call it?
- 52:00Speaker 1: Is there a manager?
- 52:01Speaker 15: Is there a city council member? I mean, this is
- 52:03Speaker 15: seriously the most discriminatory practice I've ever heard of. It
- 52:08Speaker 15: doesn't even make sense.
- 52:10Speaker 5: You're talking about child, I understand, but we're talking about
- 52:13Speaker 5: a child, way more than a grown person.
- 52:16Speaker 15: To get What is your name, sir? Tell me your
- 52:18Speaker 15: name again.
- 52:19Speaker 5: I'm my name is Ernest. I'm down here at the
- 52:22Speaker 5: bus ball I would like to.
- 52:23Speaker 15: Speak with a supervisor like, now, you do not get
- 52:28Speaker 15: to speak to about my child that way. You can
- 52:31Speaker 15: just think to any kid that way. You should not
- 52:33Speaker 15: be working at a school if that is your attitude.
- 52:36Speaker 5: I now, I don't work at the school. I work

- 53:16Speaker 5: of them approaching obesity, you know, right? Yeah, the school, whoever,

- 53:50Speaker 5: don't have you know, maybe maybe it's starts at home

- 56:45Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:46Speaker 10: Subject He's fired and I'm under new management.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:51Speaker 10: I'm a forty one year old white lady and I
- 56:53Speaker 10: work in corporate America with a very good job. I
- 56:57Speaker 10: go to work dressed like a million bucks every day
- 57:00Speaker 10: because I had helped buying my designer pieces. I always
- 57:04Speaker 10: started the top one I date, and I've never dated
- 57:06Speaker 10: a man that is beneath me. A man isn't even
- 57:09Speaker 10: beneath me. When we are having sex. I'm always on
- 57:12Speaker 10: top and everything I do. I have a son and
- 57:16Speaker 10: he likes the best of everything. I work hard to
- 57:20Speaker 10: keep him in a lifestyle that I didn't have growing up.
- 57:24Speaker 10: At work, I'm an executive and I report to the
- 57:26Speaker 10: president of the company.
- 57:28Speaker 1: I had a private affair with the last.
- 57:30Speaker 10: President of my company and he slipped up and his
- 57:32Speaker 10: wife found out about me. She didn't let him know anything.
- 57:37Speaker 10: She went straight to the board members of our company
- 57:39Speaker 10: and he was let go.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I felt terrible about.
- 57:42Speaker 10: It, and he wanted to continue the affair, but it
- 57:46Speaker 10: would have put my job in jeopardy, so I moved
- 57:49Speaker 10: on and prayed that the gossip woulden leak. Nine months later,
- 57:52Speaker 10: we have a new interim president and he's black. I
- 57:56Speaker 10: love a man in power, and he's not all that handsome,
- 57:59Speaker 10: but he can and he carries himself as though he
- 58:02Speaker 10: runs the world. I guess that he hasn't heard the
- 58:05Speaker 10: gossip because he has already asked me to go to
- 58:07Speaker 10: lunch with him to give him an overview of the
- 58:11Speaker 10: day to day operations. Could it be that I'm at
- 58:14Speaker 10: the executive level and he wants to hear from a manager,
- 58:18Speaker 10: or is it because he's interested in me. The best
- 58:21Speaker 10: part is that he is single and he is the
- 58:23Speaker 10: interim president, so legally we can do anything we want.
- 58:27Speaker 10: He said, he's picked the perfect place for us to
- 58:30Speaker 10: go where we can talk without distractions and he can
- 58:33Speaker 10: get to know me. Does this sound like he's coming
- 58:36Speaker 10: on to me? Or is this a professional lunch?
- 58:41Speaker 1: Okay?
- 58:42Speaker 10: Really, you already know, you already know what the deal is.
- 58:46Speaker 10: He asked you to go out, and he's picked the
- 58:50Speaker 10: place where you won't be distracted and he can get
- 58:53Speaker 10: to know you.
- 58:55Speaker 1: That is not lunch. That's a date. Okay, that is
- 58:58Speaker 1: a date. And surely you know that.
- 59:00Speaker 10: You see that you are you're not new at this
- 59:03Speaker 10: dating thing. You're not certainly not new at dating your bosses.
- 59:07Speaker 10: I mean, isn't that how it starts? You know, when
- 59:09Speaker 10: they ask you to go out like that, That's how
- 59:11Speaker 10: it starts.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 59:12Speaker 10: So my question to you is, what is your goal?
- 59:16Speaker 10: Do you want to get married eventually? Do you want
- 59:18Speaker 10: to be in a relationship? Do you just want to
- 59:20Speaker 10: do all the presidents in the company? I mean, what
- 59:23Speaker 10: is your goal?
- 59:24Speaker 1: You're doing all that you're doing for a reason.
- 59:26Speaker 10: You wear designer clothes every day, you have a stylist
- 59:30Speaker 10: to pick out your designer pieces. You've never dated beneath you.
- 59:34Speaker 10: You're always on top, you say. Even in the bedroom.
- 59:37Speaker 10: You sound very confident, very self assured, which is a
- 59:40Speaker 10: good thing. Of course, no self esteem problems here. But
- 59:44Speaker 10: my question still remains, what is your goal? What do
- 59:47Speaker 10: you want? Have you just written Steve and I to
- 59:50Speaker 10: brag or is there a means to the end? I
- 59:53Speaker 10: really don't think you would just be putting this much
- 59:56Speaker 10: effort into anything if you weren't purpose driven. You just
- 59:59Speaker 10: want you just will not come right out and say
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: that that's what you want. You want us to think
- 1:00:05Speaker 10: that you got it all together or you're on top,
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: as you say, but with.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: No endgame in mind. That isn't that doesn't make sense.
- 1:00:12Speaker 10: You want to snag one of these company presidents so
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: you can continue your lifestyle and level up. That's why,
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: for sure, you are definitely going to go out to
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: lunch with this new guy in hopes that he could
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: be the one that you finally get.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Otherwise, why would you even mention.
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: That he's single and it's legal, You guys could do
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: whatever you want. Listen, I say, enjoy your date with him.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: But when you write us, please be honest about your intentions.
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: You are trying to get a president.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: That's what it is. Say what it is, Steve.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Okay, because I ain't even moved today.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't play it alone, right, you know? No, listen,
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: let me stop. This has nothing to do with race,
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: so let me clear that up. So while I'm giving
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: my answer, this answer would apply to anybody. You made
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: it racial because you wanted to let us know you
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: were a forty one year old white lady, and you
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: wanted to let us know the color of the new
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: interim president.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: We wouldn't have known no different.
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: You could have just said this is how I am,
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: this is what I do, But you made it racial.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I'm just the guy for it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Right, let's go.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Sixty five years old, I'd have seen this movie before,
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: so let's go.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: You want to make it racial, and you want to
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: make it what it is. Now Here he is.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: This letter is about a white gold digger, So now
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: here we go.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I'm a forty one year old white lady.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: I don't know why you thought I'm ness say to
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: tell us that, But fine, I work in corporate America
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: with a very good job. I go to work dressed
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: like a million bucks every day because I had help buying.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: My designer pieces.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: I always start at the top when I date. I've
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: never dated a man that is beneath me. A man
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: isn't even beneath me when we having sex. I'm always
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: on top in everything I do. Okay, white lady, you better,
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: you better explain this.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: White lady.
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: I can't call you by your name that you didn't
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: give us, that you described yourself as a white lady.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Hang on, black man, hang on.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: More about the white lady when we come back.
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: That's right part Tim Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: three minutes after the our subject. He got fired and
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: I'm under new management. We'll get back into it right
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: after this. You're listening, shoot Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: This Sunday, Redfin is kicking off an even bigger game.
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: During the Big Game, they are giving away a million
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: dollar home in an epic never been done before. Scaperton
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: hunt all on the Redfin app Watch closely. The home
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: is hidden in Rocket and Redfin's commercials during the Big Game.
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: The winner will be the first assaulve six clues and
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: find the million dollar home.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: On the Redfin app.
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: Download or update the app to play Redfin's Great American
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: Home Search presented by Rocket.
- 1:03:40Speaker 12: No, we're just necessary fifty USDC must be agent majority.
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: Visit the Great American Home Search dot com for official rules.
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: and finish up with your response.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: Okay, Because I'm not in the mood today, I've told
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: Janie Finn to play with this.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Uh huh, so I'm gonna call it like it either.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: This is a letter is about, oh white gold digger,
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: and the reason I'm starting off the letter with this
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: is a white gold digger because this is how the
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: woman started her letter. Dear Steve, and shall she talking
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: both of them? I am a forty one year old
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: white lady. This ain't even necessary, but that's what you
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: want to make it about. I'm the guy for you,
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: white lady, saying I work in corporate America with a
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: very good job. I go to work dressed like a
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: million bucks every day because I had help buying my
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: designer pieces.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: But we already know what that is.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: I also start at the top when I date, and
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: I've never dated a man beneath me. A man isn't
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: beneath me, even when we have in sex. I'm always
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: on top in everything I do. Okay, white lady, I
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: have a son and he likes the best of everything too,
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: ya do. I work hard to keep him in a
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: lifestyle that I didn't have growing up.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: And she ain't talking about just working hard at her job.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: She working hard to date from the top and stay
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: on top at work. I'm an executive and I report
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: to the president of the company. I had a private
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: affair with the last president of my company. He slipped
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: up and his wife found out about me. She didn't
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: let him know anything. She went straight to the board
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: members of our company and he was let go. Now, this,
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: I can assure you, was enough. This a white lady moved.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: The president you were sleeping with was white because the
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: black lady ain't keeping nothing to her and go out.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: To the board.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Oh no, this is feeling to be a corporate whooping
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: on display. Black women take it to the house, the
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: parking lot, the church, face book, Facebook, Livester Graham, her brother,
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: her cousins, everybody involved.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: So I know they were white.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: I felt terrible about it, and he wanted to continue,
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: but continue.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Why would I continue?
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: You ain't on top no one, right, he don't date
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: beneath her. But it would have put my job in jeopardy.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: How I would have put your job in jeopardy? He gone, Now,
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: you didn't get put in jeopardy when he got fired,
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: So that's a lot. It wouldn't have put your job
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: in jeopardy. And I'm a proven to. Nine months later,
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: we had a new interim president and he's black.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, tell us that I love a man in power.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Yes, you do, because you are gold dude, And he's
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: not all that handsome, but he can dressing him cars
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: himself as though he runs the work a lot ofly.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Paying all that good. Look at my I get it,
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: But you're what you said.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: But he can dress and he carries himself and run
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: the world. Yes, I do. So, now you got this
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: black dude. I guess that he hasn't heard the gossip
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: because he has already asked me to go to lunch
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: with him to give him an overruler of the.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Day to day operation. Could it be here what she
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: tried to play? Yeah? Could it be that.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: I'm at the executive level and he wants to hear
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: from a manager or is it because.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: He's interested in this.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: She tried to trick us.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: No, lady, it's you. The one's interesting. See you, the
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: one is interesting. And now let me show you something.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: The best part is he's single and he's the interim president,
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: so legally we can do what we want.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Wait, mine where that comes from.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: Because just a minute ago, the reason you would not
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: date the white man after he got fired with because
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: you said it would put your it would have put
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: my job in jeopardy.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: He ain't an't work there no more. He ain't even
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: work that no more.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: But now you the figured out that the black dude,
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: since he's single and he that enteran president, is fine.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: So legally we can do what we want.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: That is nowhere in a corporate America that you could
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: do what you want.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: That ain't nowhere you can do what you want.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: You want to get some rules, Go get a job
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: in corporate America. He said, he's picked the perfect place
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: for us to go where we can talk without distractions
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: and he can get.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: To know me.
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: That this sound like he's coming on to me or
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: just a professional lunch.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Help.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: If you don't shut up with this bull craft, you
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: a professional gold.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Didn't you know how to dig for gold?
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: You done already decided the fact that he ain't hands

- 1:13:19Speaker 10: some advice. We'll talk about that right after this. You're
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from
- 1:13:29Speaker 10: Julisa and Indianapolis. Jalisa says, I was in jail for
- 1:13:34Speaker 10: fighting my husband and he wouldn't bail me out. I
- 1:13:38Speaker 10: threw a book at him after he came in at
- 1:13:40Speaker 10: four a m. And it cut him above his eye.
- 1:13:43Speaker 10: I still can't believe he called the police on me.
- 1:13:47Speaker 10: I feel justified in hitting him, but he got me
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: arrested and left me there for a whole day. My
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: dad is involved, and he's disappointed in me out. Can
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: my dad side with my husband and who's obviously cheating
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: on me.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: And your daddy? Your daddy scared of your Huh?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: He's afraid of her husband's dad. Well, he said that.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: Look, man, if you get my daughter put in jail
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: and you don't get out, bro, I can't. I can't
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: even tell you how me and you think I can't
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: even tell you. I don't care what she did. I
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: got that she threw the book, but you let her
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: put him in jail and you didn't get.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Her out.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: For a whole day. She stayed in jail.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: No, man, you gotta get your look. It was an argument.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: But see that's that old he coming in at four
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: in the morning. Now he trying to use that so
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: that don't be the issue no more.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Oh okay, Now he keep playing up the cut over
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: the eye.
- 1:14:47Speaker 10: Yeah, and he's clearly cheating.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: How you let a book hit you an eye? Dog?
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: All the pages gotta open up, gonna slow down, the
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: book gonna flip over four five times.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: You must have been late and drunk. Know what book
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: it was done? Could have been a heavy book.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know, man like this dude, when you
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: don't get your girl out of jail, bruh something Yeah,
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: oh no, man, still low down.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: He called the police on her and got her arrested.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: That was a big book that. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: One time, one time, my sister in law uh huh
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: called my brother Heavy was drunk.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: We all know that brother Heavy was drunk. He was
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: at the barbecue.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: She called the police or my brother because he was
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: getting out of hand. He didn't hit her, but he's
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: getting out of hand. He was loud and he's getting
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: out it's just being heavy. She called the police. She
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: had the police come to our house.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Man, don't know, police come and slick Harvey house.
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: Okay, that went so bad at the front of that driveway.
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: And all.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: It almost led to a full blown, like small scale
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: riot because now my brother, my other brother, got to
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: get involved because you're talking to my daddy crazy. My
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: mama trying to shut all of it down, y'all, just
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: letting them police do what they gonna do, and we
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: get on in here.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: My daddy. Police don't do what they want to do
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: in my house.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: So now I turned into a whole nother allcasion, Black
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: people know not to call the police on each other already,
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: that rule number one in black family. Yeah, yeah, don't
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: call the police up in here.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: It ain't gonna work out for nobody in his yard now.
- 1:16:30Speaker 10: And her husband calls it, aunt calls them on his
- 1:16:33Speaker 10: wife and puts her and has her thrown in jail.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Man, we're so weak for that.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, pretty big book, y'all.

- 1:17:01Speaker 10: we do have time for another one. This is from
- 1:17:04Speaker 10: Sunday and Charlotte. Sunday says, why can't women do what
- 1:17:08Speaker 10: women want to do with their bodies, like have as
- 1:17:12Speaker 10: much sex as men do? Who made men supreme over women?
- 1:17:16Speaker 10: Men are not judged as harshly as women are. When
- 1:17:20Speaker 10: a woman dates a lot of guys, it's assumed that
- 1:17:23Speaker 10: she's having sex. Times have changed, So why can't the
- 1:17:26Speaker 10: double standard change?
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: A by a young woman?
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: First question is Sunday talking old Friday.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: That's what I'm I said, Well, Sunday, I think you're
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: gonna have to take this up with God, and you're
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: gonna have to run this all the way back to scription,
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: and you're gonna have to take this up with cultures
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: who allow men to have multiple wives and the reason
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: why multiple wives were started you it's a whole lot
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: behind that. And somebody named Friday.
- 1:17:57Speaker 9: We'll let them talk twenty minutes.
- 1:18:01Speaker 10: After the hour, we will have more of this clearly
- 1:18:04Speaker 10: ignorant show.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Right after this.
