- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million buck things in it. Not me good to the mother.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join me. You gotta use that turning. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn the water the water go. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby now. Uh huh. I show will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey oh
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. Man got a radio show
- 2:13Speaker 1: and a whole lot mold too, man. God is good
- 2:16Speaker 1: to me. I have no other explanation if I have
- 2:20Speaker 1: no other explanation of my existence and where I stand
- 2:24Speaker 1: in this thing called life, except if it was not
- 2:27Speaker 1: for the goodness of God Almighty. If it was not
- 2:30Speaker 1: for His grace and his mercy, There's no way I
- 2:34Speaker 1: could exist the way that I do. I would not
- 2:37Speaker 1: be who I am or where I am. I am
- 2:40Speaker 1: who I am and where I am simply because God
- 2:45Speaker 1: is who he is. If it was not for God,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I would have no testimony for you, because I would
- 2:53Speaker 1: have failed every single test plain, pure and simple. I
- 2:59Speaker 1: can sit here today until you flat out that it
- 3:03Speaker 1: is purely because of God's grace and mercy that I
- 3:08Speaker 1: exist today because of His favor. See now He shows
- 3:13Speaker 1: us favor in life because of a combination of things
- 3:17Speaker 1: I've discovered. And this is not the whole answer to life,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I can assure you as not. But this is a
- 3:24Speaker 1: combination that I've grown to understand better and better, and
- 3:28Speaker 1: I wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But here it is. If you take faith and you
- 3:38Speaker 1: combine it with an incredible work ethic, then God has
- 3:48Speaker 1: the greatest opportunities to show you favor. That's the best
- 3:55Speaker 1: way I can explain success to you from my standpoint.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It is the combination of faith and work that produces
- 4:04Speaker 1: the most opportunities for God to show you favor. See
- 4:09Speaker 1: a lot of times we want God to bless us,
- 4:11Speaker 1: but we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So
- 4:14Speaker 1: now we sideways in the equation a little bit. But see,
- 4:18Speaker 1: if you had the faith in God that God can
- 4:22Speaker 1: do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:29Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest gift of all
- 4:31Speaker 1: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 4:42Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See without
- 4:48Speaker 1: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 4:51Speaker 1: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:00Speaker 1: your favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing,
- 5:09Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:11Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:14Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:22Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:25Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:30Speaker 1: apply the faith and see the reason you don't know
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's coming like that, or you have to have
- 5:37Speaker 1: faith to believe that it is coming. Because faith is
- 5:41Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 5:46Speaker 1: faith is. You know you're standing at let me give
- 5:49Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the cross walk with a
- 5:51Speaker 1: walk sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Don't walk, Then that the signs say walk. What do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Is well pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the cross walk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:15Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:18Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:22Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 6:25Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 6:34Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 6:37Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 6:39Speaker 1: his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm working
- 6:42Speaker 1: towards right now gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 6:45Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. See, that's not
- 6:48Speaker 1: the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 6:54Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do, see if it's seeing
- 7:00Speaker 1: in it it ain't God. You can just clear on
- 7:03Speaker 1: up right there. You can stop all the wandering. If
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's his voice talking to you. If it's the right
- 7:08Speaker 1: thing to do, if it's sin in it. It's not
- 7:12Speaker 1: God talking to you. Kill it. You you you can
- 7:16Speaker 1: shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Go down there secret venge that ain't God. Go tell
- 7:21Speaker 1: him off when you see him. That ain't God. Anything.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's God's sin in it, is not God's voice telling
- 7:27Speaker 1: you to do it. So you can. You can kill
- 7:29Speaker 1: that conversation to date. That's how you know. But if
- 7:32Speaker 1: you align yourself up, man and you and what you're
- 7:35Speaker 1: doing is just and right and correct and pleasing in
- 7:38Speaker 1: the sight of God, it'll pay off for you later on.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And see here's here's here's the best way I can
- 7:47Speaker 1: tell to it. Here's another one. When you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're when you're on the road to going somewhere,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's say you've set a goal of vision for yourself,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you know where you want to get to, You got
- 8:03Speaker 1: a good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:14Speaker 1: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it is going to become challenging. When it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 1: three of those things, when it don't look like it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I know he didn't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 1: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you're complaining. See,
- 8:41Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 1: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 1: of your blessing that's actually happening. It to you? What really, man,
- 9:01Speaker 1: of all the times to register a complaint to God,
- 9:04Speaker 1: to sit up and go, hey, man, I didn't want
- 9:07Speaker 1: wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you in It's it's a tornado world around you. You You
- 9:13Speaker 1: ain't got time to ease back in. You got it
- 9:15Speaker 1: going and jump back in it. It is what it is.
- 9:18Speaker 1: To whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate
- 9:22Speaker 1: the blessings. Don't get so caught up into complaints that
- 9:24Speaker 1: you lose sight of the blessings. Man, God got a
- 9:27Speaker 1: lot for you in your life, man, but you gotta
- 9:29Speaker 1: have them two things, y'all. You gotta take that faith
- 9:33Speaker 1: and you got to apply a crazy work ethic to it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And that creates the most opportunities for God to show
- 9:41Speaker 1: your favor. And when God starts showing your favor, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: all of them seeds you planted, all of that, all
- 9:47Speaker 1: of that wheat you've been sewing, all of that hard
- 9:50Speaker 1: work you've been put in God to pay it off,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and He'll pay it off in ways that you don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: even see coming. Okay, cool, you're listening to morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Good morning everybody, Steve Harvey Morning Show is alive and well,
- 10:06Speaker 1: the show this morning is dedicated to I decided to
- 10:09Speaker 1: do this, man, because I used to shout out all
- 10:12Speaker 1: the brothers and sisters is locked away, man, and I
- 10:15Speaker 1: decided to to to to go back to that because
- 10:19Speaker 1: it's a lot of good people, man that just made

- 13:34Speaker 1: we're gonna switch gears here, guys, we're gonna talk about
- 13:38Speaker 1: our favorite Bill Withers songs. We're gonna do that right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show the legend that he was.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Bill Withers died last Monday in Los Angeles. He had
- 13:52Speaker 1: heart complications. He was eighty one. Years old. We're devastated
- 13:57Speaker 1: by the loss of our beloved, devoted husband and father,
- 14:00Speaker 1: his family said in a statement. A solitary man with
- 14:04Speaker 1: a heart driven to connect the world at large with
- 14:08Speaker 1: his poetry and his music. He spoke honestly to people
- 14:11Speaker 1: and connected them to each other. As private a life
- 14:16Speaker 1: as he lived close to to intimate family and friends,
- 14:19Speaker 1: his music forever belongs to the world. Bill Bill Withers,
- 14:23Speaker 1: of course, is best known for such classics as Lovely Day,
- 14:28Speaker 1: lean on me, ain't no sun thank you, Yes, yes,
- 14:37Speaker 1: and I'll be your friend. I'll help you. Carey, whoa,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it won't be long. I'm somebody. Wow, Just give me
- 15:02Speaker 1: another hit. Ain't no sunshine, it's not warm when she's away.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Oh okay, ain't no sunshine when she's gone. And this
- 15:26Speaker 1: hoss just saying no anytime she goes away. But Steve,
- 15:33Speaker 1: your favorite, one of your favorites. Who is he and
- 15:36Speaker 1: what is he to you? Remember that? Oh man just passed?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Come on, come on to stand me. You don mm hmm.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And when I looked at you, you look brown. Come on, boy,

- 16:35Speaker 1: me for tell me? Not someone just passion by whoo
- 16:43Speaker 1: oh get it? Come on? And when you cleared your foot,
- 16:49Speaker 1: was that your damn clue? Not damn it? Who is he?
- 16:59Speaker 1: Is he? You? What is you hollering for them? That's man?
- 17:04Speaker 1: It needs something? Are you winning? Deep? Yeah? Lovely day

- 18:00Speaker 1: you run so fast? Might fall on a piece of glass,
- 18:05Speaker 1: might be snakes that in the grass, grandmos hands. Can

- 18:33Speaker 1: did Seelos hands, Seelos hands. I did see. I remember that,
- 18:38Speaker 1: I remember that. I remember anyway, um as I was saying,
- 18:46Speaker 1: but yeah, he was. He was a great artist. He
- 18:50Speaker 1: won three Grammys, released eight albums. Stevie Wonder inducted him
- 18:54Speaker 1: into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in
- 18:56Speaker 1: twenty fifteen, and of course our thoughts and our prayers
- 19:00Speaker 1: to go. You know. I posted him on my Instagram
- 19:03Speaker 1: and I told people, if you didn't know him, you
- 19:05Speaker 1: missed one of the great ones. You just you just
- 19:08Speaker 1: missed because his music wasn't out when modern when new
- 19:12Speaker 1: radio hit and a lot of young people, man don't
- 19:16Speaker 1: don't know who he is. But I'm sorry you didn't
- 19:19Speaker 1: know who he was. You you missed one of the
- 19:22Speaker 1: great ones I saw. I always try to keep my
- 19:25Speaker 1: kids hip to what music music was, because it's so
- 19:29Speaker 1: important because mostly all of these artists sample something from them.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But man, you can't let that die. I refused to you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: It was funny. Winton came over the other day and
- 19:40Speaker 1: we was working out together. I had my earbuds in,
- 19:43Speaker 1: so Winton I gave him another set of earbuds. That's
- 19:47Speaker 1: I got two paradisms, you know, sync up to my
- 19:50Speaker 1: phone so two e EarPods can listen. Boy went said, Dad,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you work out to this? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, from from
- 20:01Speaker 1: a playlist that I created, and it's just hits now.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Some of them is slow, but I work out sometime
- 20:06Speaker 1: to slow. You can still get it in. Yeah, man,
- 20:10Speaker 1: you know I listened to Luther when I'm lifting stuff
- 20:12Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, but that was the first time I
- 20:16Speaker 1: ever heard dak gummin was from Bill Wood. Yeah, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: never My mama used to play that song. But if
- 20:22Speaker 1: you ever saw him live, he didn't say that gumming
- 20:25Speaker 1: at all. He didn't. He gave it to you. He
- 20:28Speaker 1: gave it. Why is that a big guy? Was he
- 20:33Speaker 1: a big guy? Yeah? All right, Yeah, he'll he'll definitely
- 20:39Speaker 1: be missed, but his music will live on forever. Coming
- 20:44Speaker 1: up next, we're gonna switch gears because it is Monday,
- 20:48Speaker 1: Church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam. Right
- 20:52Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Morning show. Coming up at the

- 23:41Speaker 1: been at your house handling service because we want to
- 23:43Speaker 1: practice being saved during this time. What do you have
- 23:47Speaker 1: to say to the pastors that want people to come
- 23:50Speaker 1: to their church on Sunday and congregate U uh uh uh.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And it's about collecting money. Let's cut this out now,
- 24:05Speaker 1: you got to cut this out. All the churches need money.
- 24:10Speaker 1: But if you ain't got no parish members left to
- 24:14Speaker 1: drop money in the bucket. What we're gonna do after that,
- 24:18Speaker 1: You're gonna bring them down and kill him all. Now,
- 24:23Speaker 1: you got to stop this. We got to start practicing
- 24:26Speaker 1: save sanctions for disserbation of personations, for people preparations. The
- 24:34Speaker 1: only way we got it. We gotta watching wheels meet
- 24:37Speaker 1: we go. We're gonna flatten the curve, flattening, flattening cab
- 24:41Speaker 1: Will Sniff on the on the red table, talking like here,
- 24:45Speaker 1: Damn doctor Will Sniff used to be by himself all

- 27:15Speaker 1: go in refrigerator, where is you going? Yeah, you ain't
- 27:20Speaker 1: got the bedroom, little room, bathroom? And then you don't
- 27:25Speaker 1: go in refrigerator, then what else you Where is you
- 27:27Speaker 1: gonna go? And I understand it, Pat, but then they
- 27:30Speaker 1: keep going in there and coming out of there, going
- 27:32Speaker 1: in there and coming out of there, and that is
- 27:33Speaker 1: bothering their mama out the refrigerator. If what is happening?
- 27:38Speaker 1: We all in here going through this thing right here now,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I'm tired of the complaints. This is quarantine. Let to
- 27:46Speaker 1: live and love together. We're gonna be there for a while.
- 27:51Speaker 1: And I understand you wholehearted. They past that, But I'm
- 27:54Speaker 1: just saying, the kids was the one that foiled a
- 27:55Speaker 1: complaint and had the post and called the police, don't
- 27:59Speaker 1: they Mama. I'm I'm just saying, I'm just telling you
- 28:01Speaker 1: what happened. Ain't no police coming over there. The police

- 28:12Speaker 1: even put a hair cost on it. They got and
- 28:16Speaker 1: have you put them over the shirt and call who
- 28:22Speaker 1: All right, let me put this out there. Brother Lamar
- 28:25Speaker 1: Titwell has a new idea and he wants to see
- 28:31Speaker 1: if you will be an agreeance with this. He wants
- 28:33Speaker 1: to make Pirel condoms and the proceeds would go to
- 28:39Speaker 1: the church, but it would be social distancing when people
- 28:43Speaker 1: I have making love it it's Pirel which is made
- 28:47Speaker 1: you know with the Sanita Pirel condoms. We're not going
- 28:54Speaker 1: to be evolved in this foolishness. It's just not gonna okay.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:11Speaker 1: some entertainment and some national news where you right after
- 29:14Speaker 1: this you're listening to show. Coming up at twenty minutes
- 29:21Speaker 1: after the hour, our special guests will be the one
- 29:24Speaker 1: and only Tony Braxton. She's going to tell us about
- 29:26Speaker 1: her latest project. We'll find out how Tony and her
- 29:29Speaker 1: family are doing. But first in today's entertainment news. We
- 29:33Speaker 1: did touch on this earlier. We talked about it. Uh
- 29:36Speaker 1: soul legend Bill Withers passed away from heart complications. Yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 1: oh absolutely. He was eighty one years old. Eighty one
- 29:46Speaker 1: years old. Our condolences go out to him. And also
- 29:51Speaker 1: uh some more sad news. I mean, he was a musician,
- 29:55Speaker 1: he was a producer. He released the nineteen eighty roller
- 29:58Speaker 1: skating anthems I know you know it, Bounce Roll Skate
- 30:03Speaker 1: Bounce Rock Skate Roll. Remember Von Mason. Vaughn Mason passed
- 30:07Speaker 1: away Thursday, Yeah, of natural causes. He was only sixty
- 30:12Speaker 1: nine years old. Sixty nine yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, uh yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 1: There's not two of us on this show listening our prayers,
- 30:24Speaker 1: and you guys us going, that's very young. Yeah. He
- 30:34Speaker 1: was the baby y'all saying, what the hell? That's what
- 30:37Speaker 1: y'all saying right now. You know something, man, when you
- 30:40Speaker 1: start losing people, you know, I mean you think of
- 30:43Speaker 1: them in my music catalog, and I think of my
- 30:47Speaker 1: love of music and how many of the people I love,
- 30:53Speaker 1: I mean party went to concerts with it gone, Michael Prince, Whitney,
- 30:59Speaker 1: Luther Riese. White. I mean, you go down the list man, Rick, James,
- 31:07Speaker 1: Chris and ain't going James. I mean, man, you go
- 31:11Speaker 1: down the list man of I'm talking about legendary figures.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Legendary figures. We can't even name them all, and we're
- 31:20Speaker 1: still leaving off major, major people that's incredible, man. And
- 31:25Speaker 1: when you start looking at that, you start going, man,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I've been around for a minute, man. And then you
- 31:31Speaker 1: hear something like a varn Mason that go natural causes
- 31:35Speaker 1: at sixty nine, you start going, wait a minute, man, Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: that's that's that's a that's a that's a that's a
- 31:42Speaker 1: deep thing, man. So much going on this year has
- 31:47Speaker 1: been something. Yeah, it really has. Yeah, and then it
- 31:50Speaker 1: jump it jumped off crazy from the beginning. Yes, when
- 31:53Speaker 1: we when we lost Kobe, we was like, what's going on?
- 31:56Speaker 1: And it just kept going yeah, yeah, uh and and
- 32:01Speaker 1: then you know this news this is about a tiger,
- 32:05Speaker 1: but it's still news having to do with this COVID nineteen. Yeah.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Some this a tiger house at New York City's Bronx Zoo.
- 32:15Speaker 1: He has or she, I should say, it's tested positive
- 32:18Speaker 1: for COVID nineteen. That makes it the first known animal
- 32:21Speaker 1: in the US to have contracted the virus. She's a
- 32:23Speaker 1: female tiger four years old. The tiger has some pre
- 32:27Speaker 1: existing conditions. Well, no, but the tiger gonna get top
- 32:31Speaker 1: of the line treatment. No. I want you to understand something.
- 32:37Speaker 1: That tiger it's fitting to get top of the line treatment,
- 32:40Speaker 1: the best way, the best. Yeah. Look, if you need
- 32:44Speaker 1: a respirator, that tiger gonna get a respirator. Now I don't.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I don't have nothing to give tigers, and I hope
- 32:49Speaker 1: they can save the animal. But we we got to
- 32:53Speaker 1: really focus on what's going on in our country today.
- 32:56Speaker 1: With these ventilators, respirators, mass surgical stuff for the frontline
- 33:00Speaker 1: people and stuff like that. We got stuff we got
- 33:03Speaker 1: to get done, man. And for us to be in
- 33:05Speaker 1: this position as the richest and most powerful nation in
- 33:08Speaker 1: the world is utterly ridiculous. And if you don't think
- 33:11Speaker 1: that this, we're behind the eight ball because we should
- 33:14Speaker 1: have got on this without calling it a hoax. This
- 33:16Speaker 1: is this is ridiculous, man. And don't y'all forget this
- 33:20Speaker 1: when it's time to go. And Donny, you don't let
- 33:27Speaker 1: the money you might get food oh that little check?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yea yeah man? Please? Yeah, all right, Steve, time to
- 33:35Speaker 1: get caught up on today's headlines, please, ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:39Speaker 1: Miss Ann Tripp, thank you very much, And here they come.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Just would be probably the toughest week between this week
- 33:45Speaker 1: and next week, and there'll be a lot of death. Unfortunately,
- 33:49Speaker 1: President Trump is warning of many more coronavirus casualties over
- 33:52Speaker 1: the next several days. Federal health officials foresee an uptick
- 33:56Speaker 1: of COVID nineteen cases, especially in New York, Detroit, and Louisiana. However,
- 34:01Speaker 1: eight states still have not imposed any stay at home
- 34:05Speaker 1: or social distancing orders. Trump says he will not impose
- 34:08Speaker 1: a nationwide mandate to that effect, leaving such decisions up
- 34:12Speaker 1: to the governors, he says, whom he says has been
- 34:14Speaker 1: have been doing a quote great job. So now the
- 34:17Speaker 1: presence being accused of sending out mixed messages about the
- 34:20Speaker 1: severity the whole coronavirus situation. The CDC is advising the
- 34:24Speaker 1: use of non medical cloth face covering as an additional
- 34:29Speaker 1: voluntary public health measure. So it's voluntary. You don't have
- 34:32Speaker 1: to do it, they suggested for a period of time.
- 34:35Speaker 1: But this is voluntary. I don't think I'm going to
- 34:39Speaker 1: be doing it, yeah, which is why some lawmakers, as
- 34:42Speaker 1: well as the expected presidential nominee of the Democratic Party,
- 34:45Speaker 1: Joe Biden, are accusing Trump of having gone from not
- 34:48Speaker 1: acting fast enough to not acting boldly enough. The US
- 34:52Speaker 1: Surgeon General Jerome Adams also issuing a strong advisor for
- 34:55Speaker 1: this week. Surgeon General Adams was on Fox News Sunday.
- 34:59Speaker 1: He's urging Americans to obey stay at home orders if
- 35:02Speaker 1: at all possible, and that is because he says they
- 35:04Speaker 1: appear to be working in California and Washington State, where
- 35:08Speaker 1: the rate of new infections appears he says to be slowing,
- 35:11Speaker 1: and in New York, where the rate of new COVID
- 35:14Speaker 1: nineteen hospitalizations and deaths have also declined slightly for the
- 35:18Speaker 1: first time. By the way, according to Royd's News Service,
- 35:21Speaker 1: several months before COVID nineteen pandemic began, the Trump administration
- 35:25Speaker 1: got rid of a key American public health position in
- 35:27Speaker 1: Beijing that was intended to help detect disease outbreaks in China.
- 35:31Speaker 1: That's a job of started by President Obama. Former Vice
- 35:35Speaker 1: President Joe Biden says that the already postponed Democratic presidential
- 35:39Speaker 1: nominating convention might have to be a virtual affair because
- 35:41Speaker 1: of COVID nineteen. Wisconsin is holding its presidential primary tomorrow.
- 35:46Speaker 1: And finally, the marriage Marge Yeah another weddings being derailed
- 35:55Speaker 1: by the coronavirus. Now. Actress Taraji p Henson has told
- 35:58Speaker 1: the TV show Extra that her nuptials planned for June
- 36:01Speaker 1: are being postponed to Roger. She's engaged to former NFL
- 36:04Speaker 1: player Kelvin Haydon. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening show, Hey, everybody, look as promise our special
- 36:13Speaker 1: guests is in the building. She's a multi platinum Grammy
- 36:17Speaker 1: Award winning singer. She's uh, she's been away for a
- 36:20Speaker 1: minute doing what she does best, singing and working on
- 36:23Speaker 1: her new music. Well, today we got it. The first
- 36:27Speaker 1: single from the upcoming album is gonna be released worldwide.

- 37:36Speaker 1: that Parend that calls you every two days. See you
- 37:38Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. And they got a problem
- 37:40Speaker 1: what they do and they call it here. You're like,
- 37:42Speaker 1: you just want to smack him, snap out of it.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I know I can't say it on the air point
- 37:48Speaker 1: I was there. You know, you want to move light
- 37:51Speaker 1: on a little bit or her and you, but you're
- 37:53Speaker 1: being a friend and you're listening. You're listening. So I
- 37:57Speaker 1: wrote a song and I sent it to my friend.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I wanted wanted them to know, girl, just do it,
- 38:02Speaker 1: do what you gotta do. They don't need to say that.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I'm feeling some kind of way. You know it's not
- 38:06Speaker 1: worth even God, don't understand why you keep forgiving this person.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Is it time to move on and just do it?
- 38:12Speaker 1: That's about another tea, all right, empowering, So mask you
- 38:18Speaker 1: this This is the first single I noticed I know
- 38:20Speaker 1: it's coming out in August. Is the album done, nearly done?
- 38:25Speaker 1: Or how much? How much more you think you got?
- 38:27Speaker 1: The album is done, it's okay. Grammy Award winners singles
- 38:35Speaker 1: It Girl, classic Tony Braxton. Can we expect or something
- 38:39Speaker 1: something different? Tony? You know it? It's classic Tony but
- 38:43Speaker 1: currents and Yeah, I'm very comfortable where I am in
- 38:46Speaker 1: my life and my age and my success, raven even
- 38:48Speaker 1: my failure, race stuff that in my life, and I
- 38:52Speaker 1: I think I did a really good job of making
- 38:55Speaker 1: it today for being myself, being current, organic to the
- 38:59Speaker 1: artist that I I love that. Hey, so this is

- 47:03Speaker 1: is is flying down the street and she drops the
- 47:06Speaker 1: kids off, and when she leaves, she's flying back out
- 47:09Speaker 1: of the neighborhood. And a couple of times some of
- 47:11Speaker 1: the neighbors have told her to slow down, and you know,
- 47:14Speaker 1: I don't know if she's flicked them off or set
- 47:17Speaker 1: something out the window, you know, but you know, this
- 47:20Speaker 1: is stuff that we just cannot tolerate. Huh, Well, it
- 47:25Speaker 1: really doesn't sound like my mom. But you know, okay,
- 47:28Speaker 1: we need to you know what, Natalie, what what we're
- 47:30Speaker 1: not gonna do is what you're not gonna do is
- 47:32Speaker 1: act like it's not your mamma. It's your mother that's
- 47:34Speaker 1: doing this. So what we need you to do is
- 47:36Speaker 1: tell your mama to slow out down so we don't
- 47:40Speaker 1: ask problem, all right, because I tried to be nice
- 47:42Speaker 1: with you at first, But if you're gonna be a
- 47:44Speaker 1: denial figured it's not your mamma, then we got issue.
- 47:48Speaker 1: First of all, daring from h o A. I need
- 47:52Speaker 1: you to watch your tols and who you're talking to,
- 47:55Speaker 1: all right. I need you to climb that all the
- 47:57Speaker 1: way down, all right, that you need to slow your
- 48:02Speaker 1: damn mama down. That's what you need to do. Slow
- 48:04Speaker 1: your mama way she driving. What she can do is
- 48:07Speaker 1: stand in the middle of the street and she flying
- 48:09Speaker 1: down and so hopefully she can knock you out the way. Okay,
- 48:12Speaker 1: don't talk to me like that. You're being ruined. Its respectful.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I donna ask her as its time, because I don't
- 48:18Speaker 1: think it's hard. But you're not gonna talk to me
- 48:20Speaker 1: like that. Okay, So your mama can just drive down
- 48:23Speaker 1: the streets and say she want to do what I'm
- 48:26Speaker 1: gonna do. Whatever she want to do, she had grown,
- 48:29Speaker 1: had done. She can't do it in the neighborhood that
- 48:31Speaker 1: I'm a member of the h O and she can't
- 48:34Speaker 1: do it there. Okay. So I don't mind whatever your
- 48:36Speaker 1: mama arrested with your kids in the car. If I
- 48:39Speaker 1: got to, I wish you would. I wish you would
- 48:43Speaker 1: have my mama arrested with my kids in the car.
- 48:45Speaker 1: You're gonna have more problems than you ever had. Okay,
- 48:48Speaker 1: you bet not have my mama arrested. You don't get arrested,
- 48:53Speaker 1: and you're gonna be sent to the hospital. How about that. Okay,
- 48:56Speaker 1: let me tell yourself. Tell your mama, so slow her down.
- 49:00Speaker 1: In the streets. This the last one, and I'm giving
- 49:02Speaker 1: y'all this the last one. Well you know what I'm saying.
- 49:06Speaker 1: You ain't got to get no one and then say, Okay,
- 49:08Speaker 1: we can have a real conversation about it. We can
- 49:10Speaker 1: meet and talk about it, because ain't gonna talk to
- 49:12Speaker 1: me like that, say you and I ain't telling my
- 49:14Speaker 1: mama nothing. I ain't comeing out of small own thing nothing.
- 49:17Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? What's your mom to day? That
- 49:20Speaker 1: must meet about it? And I'm not bringing my husband too,
- 49:23Speaker 1: says you got so much to say, you don't say.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I don't want you to kiss that same energy. Okay
- 49:28Speaker 1: with my husband. I want you to talk to him
- 49:30Speaker 1: like you talking to me. I literally tell you something.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I ain't worry about your husband and none of that.
- 49:36Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say this right here.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this right here. Tommy is the one
- 49:41Speaker 1: that told us that your mamma was speaking out of
- 49:43Speaker 1: the street. Commedy one said it, Tommy put it out
- 49:47Speaker 1: with Timmy. Tommy said your mamma was the one running
- 49:51Speaker 1: up and down the street fast, going part of fifty
- 49:54Speaker 1: mile and out. Commedy one said that I don't know
- 49:57Speaker 1: who Timmy is, but Tommy can kiss my. You can
- 50:00Speaker 1: kiss my, And he got the neighbors who got something
- 50:03Speaker 1: to say about my mama can kiss my about that.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Gonna shoot it? Let me shoot it. Do you know
- 50:10Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from a Steve Harvey morning show? Do you
- 50:13Speaker 1: know real start of a bosh me? How are you

- 50:39Speaker 1: Let's you Tommy? You'll to the Darius got me to
- 50:44Speaker 1: play fall call you baby? Always going down? It is

- 54:00Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letta. All right, I'm gonna have
- 54:03Speaker 1: to ask my girl Carla to come in and do
- 54:04Speaker 1: the subject because nobody says it like Carla. Come on, Carla,
- 54:08Speaker 1: what is the subject of today's Strawberry Letta? Keep your
- 54:12Speaker 1: eyes off my booty. Nobody says booty like Carla. All right,
- 54:19Speaker 1: here we go, Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a twenty
- 54:23Speaker 1: four year old woman who's dating a twenty eight year
- 54:26Speaker 1: old man. Our relationship is great, but I'm holding a
- 54:29Speaker 1: secret that could start a war within our social group.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Here's my problem. My boyfriend's best friend is a pervert.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Two years ago, he told me that I didn't need
- 54:40Speaker 1: to wear the jeans I had on anymore anymore because
- 54:43Speaker 1: he couldn't keep his eyes off my booty. I told
- 54:47Speaker 1: him that he was being inappropriate. When I told my
- 54:50Speaker 1: boyfriend what he said, he handled it immediately and they
- 54:53Speaker 1: almost got into a big fight. There was a lot
- 54:57Speaker 1: of tension in our social group for a while, but
- 55:00Speaker 1: we did not have any more problems until three weeks ago,
- 55:03Speaker 1: when he and I were left alone at an outdoor concert.
- 55:06Speaker 1: My boyfriend's friend told me he needed to come clean
- 55:09Speaker 1: about something that's been bothering him. He said he had
- 55:12Speaker 1: mistakenly walked in the bathroom on me at a few
- 55:19Speaker 1: weeks ago while I was in the shower at my
- 55:21Speaker 1: boyfriend's house. He said, the vision of my naked body
- 55:24Speaker 1: through the glass shower door has been stuck in his
- 55:27Speaker 1: mind since then, and my boyfriend is a very lucky man.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I told him he is a sick bastard. Wow, it
- 55:35Speaker 1: was hard for me to enjoy the show or act
- 55:38Speaker 1: normal after that. Now I'm not sure I need to
- 55:41Speaker 1: mention this to my man because I'm sure my boyfriend
- 55:45Speaker 1: will hurt this dude this time. The last time this happened,
- 55:48Speaker 1: our friends were split on who was at fault, and
- 55:51Speaker 1: some of them even blamed me for having a nice
- 55:54Speaker 1: body on display all the time. Having my nice body
- 55:57Speaker 1: on display all the time, I couldn't help it. I
- 56:00Speaker 1: can't help it if I'm blessed with curves. So who's
- 56:03Speaker 1: at fault here? How can I tell my man that
- 56:05Speaker 1: his friend has started making unwanted advances at me? Do
- 56:09Speaker 1: you think I'm being set up or tested in some
- 56:11Speaker 1: way by my man? Wow, there's a lot going on
- 56:14Speaker 1: in this letter. First, let me say, if you think
- 56:17Speaker 1: your man has set you up, I think you should
- 56:20Speaker 1: run because that means he doesn't trust you, and he
- 56:23Speaker 1: does think this is your fault. He doesn't believe what
- 56:26Speaker 1: you've told him about his best friend. As far as
- 56:28Speaker 1: your friends are concerned. Saying that you know this is
- 56:32Speaker 1: your fault or you may have caused this because you
- 56:37Speaker 1: you know, because of your body, that's ridiculous that that's
- 56:40Speaker 1: just ridiculous. I think you were right. I think his
- 56:46Speaker 1: best friend has said very inappropriate things to you, and
- 56:51Speaker 1: the second time he did it again. I mean, that's
- 56:54Speaker 1: where your man's focus should be. The fact that you
- 56:57Speaker 1: have curves in a nice body. I mean, what does
- 56:59Speaker 1: that have to do with anything? That doesn't mean that,
- 57:01Speaker 1: you know, this dude as you call him, should be disrespectful.
- 57:05Speaker 1: A nice body means just that, a nice body. All right,
- 57:10Speaker 1: You don't have to protect this guy from your man.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I mean, I know you probably don't want a big
- 57:15Speaker 1: fight to break out because if you tell him again,
- 57:17Speaker 1: that's probably what's gonna happen. But um, you know you
- 57:21Speaker 1: gotta let the chips fall now, you got to. I mean,
- 57:23Speaker 1: he should be able to take it from your man
- 57:26Speaker 1: if it happens, since he didn't have a problem dishing
- 57:29Speaker 1: it to you, saying inappropriate things walking in the bathroom,
- 57:33Speaker 1: and I'm sure he stood there for a minute to
- 57:36Speaker 1: watch you take a shower and then to have you
- 57:38Speaker 1: alone and to tell you things like this. I mean,
- 57:41Speaker 1: he's very inappropriate. He's not a friend, he's not any
- 57:44Speaker 1: of that. And yes, you need to tell your man
- 57:46Speaker 1: so he can check him Steve, I feel a little
- 57:49Speaker 1: bit different about this. First of all, this group, This
- 57:53Speaker 1: twenty four year old woman in this dating this twenty
- 57:56Speaker 1: eight year old man. Great relationship, but you're holding a
- 58:00Speaker 1: secret that could start a war within our social group.
- 58:04Speaker 1: That's this is what's throwing them off this social group.
- 58:07Speaker 1: See two years ago, her man's friend told him, best friend,
- 58:13Speaker 1: you didn't need to wear the jeans I had on
- 58:15Speaker 1: anymore because he couldn't keep his eyes off my booty. Okay,
- 58:19Speaker 1: now he said that. Now he already over the line,
- 58:24Speaker 1: Man Cold, He's already over the line. I told him
- 58:27Speaker 1: he was being inappropriate, and then I told my boyfriend
- 58:30Speaker 1: what he said. He handled the immediately and they almost
- 58:32Speaker 1: got into a big fight because he broke Man Cold.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Now there is a lot of tension in our social
- 58:39Speaker 1: group for a while, because we did not and because
- 58:43Speaker 1: there was a lot of tension in the social group
- 58:45Speaker 1: for a while, but we didn't have any more problems.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Wait him at tension in the social group because your
- 58:51Speaker 1: man checks his best friend about walking up to his
- 58:54Speaker 1: woman and making an inappropriate statement, and then there's tension
- 58:57Speaker 1: in the social group. Now I'm gonna get back to
- 59:01Speaker 1: this social group in a minute. But that's that's a
- 59:03Speaker 1: little a little, a little different here. But I guess
- 59:07Speaker 1: when you're young in that age group, as I know
- 59:09Speaker 1: some of my kids are, that social group is real.
- 59:13Speaker 1: And to three weeks ago we were left alone that
- 59:16Speaker 1: outdoor concert. He told her he had walked in on
- 59:18Speaker 1: you in the bathroom a few weeks ago while I
- 59:20Speaker 1: was in the show my boyfriend, and the vision of
- 59:22Speaker 1: his naked body through the glass door has been stuck
- 59:25Speaker 1: in his mind since then. And my boyfriend was very lucky. Man,
- 59:29Speaker 1: see pardoning you see right now, see right right now, dude,
- 59:34Speaker 1: you you you all over the line, you over the line,
- 59:38Speaker 1: you in the mix, you all of that. You don't.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, you trip it. You're tripping, man,
- 59:45Speaker 1: he tripping. But if you tell your boyfriend, this could
- 59:50Speaker 1: lead to some jail time. So I'm gonna have a
- 59:53Speaker 1: suggestion for you when we come back. But this is this,
- 59:58Speaker 1: dude right here, man, of all this ain't your, This
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: ain't your your your dude's best friend. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: hang on, we'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: up a twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: letter subject is Carla, keep your eyes off my booty.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I got serious because Steve was serious. I know we'll
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, Let's recap
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. Subject hitting Carla, keep your eyes off
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: my booty. Booty twenty four year old woman. They get
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: twenty eight year old man. Great relationship, but she got
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a secret that could start a wall with a social group.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Boyfriend's best friend is a pervert, she says. Two years ago,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: told her that she needed to stop wearing these jeans
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: she was wearing she had on because he couldn't keep
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: his eyes off her booty. She told him that was inappropriate.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Told a boyfriend what he said. He handled at him meagerly.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: They almost got into a big fight, but then that
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: created a lot of tension in their little social group
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: day in for a while. But after that they ain't
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: had no problems until three weeks ago. He said that
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: he and her well left alone at an outdoor concert.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Your boyfriend friend told me he needed to come clean
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: about something that's been other than him. He said he's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: mistakenly walked in the bathroom me a few weeks ago,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: walked in on her a few weeks ago while she
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: was in the shower at a boyfriend's house, and said
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: the vision of her naked body through the glass shower
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: though being stuck in his head every six and his
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: boyfriend is a lucky man. I told him he was
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: a sick bastard. It was hard for me to enjoy
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: the show and act normal after that. Now I'm not
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: sure if I need to mention it to my man,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: because I'm sure my boyfriend will hurt. Just do what's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: is going to happen now? See the type Jeane comment
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: was one thing, But I accidentally what you mean? You
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: accidentally walked in on my girl in the shower? Hold up, dog,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: how to hell? You don't hear the shower running? You
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: don't hear that you you just walking, you in somebody
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: else's house and you you opened the bathroom door. You
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: don't hear the shower running. Come on, man, this is
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: gonna result in an ass whipping right here, and it
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: could be pretty severe this time, and your man could
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: go to jail. Now here's the part I don't like.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: The Last time this happened, our friends were split on
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: who was at fault, and some of them blamed her
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: for having nice body on display all the time. What
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: was she supposed to do the girl twenty four? If
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you ain't gonna wear any little outfits at twenty four,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: when you're gonna wham, that's not the whole problem is
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: just due. He won't what his best friend got. This
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: is the problem, and every chance he get he tried
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to let her know it. But he fishing though, too
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: see because his best friend is probably a little older too,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: So he fishing to see where you at because if
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: he can get at you, he will. This is the
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: real problem is the your your boyfriend's friend who is
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: not his friend. You are not at fault here, and
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you gotta you gotta stink ass little really judgmental group
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: going on him where they passing judgment like this. This
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: is one side. The only thing to think your body
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: on display. The problem is the other women who ain't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: got the body, or the dudes that know their woman
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: listening too. Yeah, you always got it in our face.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing in nobody facing. They got their
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: eyes on your body. And here's the problem. You are
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: not in fault. How can I tell my man that
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: his friend has started making unwanted advances at me again,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: do you think I'm being set up tested in some
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: way by my man? I don't think that could be
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the case. I think that's crazy. That don't seem like
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: that would be smart, tested for what you've done. Nothing.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: But if you tell your man it could be a
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: real problem. But the other way to handle it is
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: to go to this dude and say, listen, it's the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: second time you've made an inappropriate remark to me. I'm
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: just telling you right now before I go over here
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: and tell my man what you just did. Matter of fact,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: the best way to do it it's put them both
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: in the same room if you're gonna do it, because
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: at one point in time, you got to bring it
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to his attention. But then if you do, it could
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: be a huge problem. But maybe your friend need to know.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Maybe your boyfriend need to understand it. This ain't his friend, see,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: so he can stop that foolishness. My friend's best friend.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: If that's your best friend, why you keep playing with
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: your dudes girl like this? So I think the best
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: way to do it, this is what you should do.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: You should have a mediator in the room, not yourself,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: like your dad or a big brother or uncle and
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: just say I want to bring this problem. Take it
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to him and see what he says. But bring this
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: problem to your boyfriend and his best friend with you
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: in the room and the mediator, and not a hole
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: down the ass whipping, if not the ass whooping going down,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: anybody else got an opinion that if he keeps looking
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: at her ass, the boyfriend's gonna beat his ass. So
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: that's that's all. You gotta say that, right then, just
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: say that keep looking you don't get your beating. Well,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: nobody takes the eyes off of an ass jack. I
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: mean if you do. Once your eyes as it's on
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: an ass, well better keep at you beat you don't want. Yeah,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: but once you're locked in on the ass, you just
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you got to take the ass whipping you you're into
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: the ass. It's it's part of it. She blaming it
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: having a whole lot of ass, yea from her? Did
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I ask for? Did you opened it up? You did?
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: You did? Okay, we handled. There's nothing wrong with an astronomical,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: beautiful ass getting a lot of attention. All right, we
