- 0:14Speaker 1: them like theming buck things, and it's not doing through
- 0:21Speaker 1: good Steve together, forty don't join Jo. You gotta turn,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out, turn, got to
- 1:45Speaker 1: turn them out. Then the water the water. Come come on,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice I said, come on now dig me the
- 2:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, Now,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna be really honest with you this morning. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: really don't know what to say. I really don't um.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I was sitting here and I was thinking, what do
- 2:29Speaker 1: I say today? I do know that I want to
- 2:34Speaker 1: be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in some way to affect
- 2:40Speaker 1: somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that I have in the mornings,
- 2:47Speaker 1: they're designed with me because I am. I needed myself, y'all,
- 2:52Speaker 1: to be honest with you. I mean, you know who
- 2:57Speaker 1: who makes the comedian laugh? I used to say all
- 3:00Speaker 1: the time, And even though what we talk about in
- 3:04Speaker 1: the morning is not a laughing matter, it kind of
- 3:07Speaker 1: like it's who I am today. You know, I need
- 3:11Speaker 1: motivation in my life sometimes myself. I think when I
- 3:15Speaker 1: get in moments like this, I often resort back to
- 3:21Speaker 1: the same thing over and over and over. And when
- 3:26Speaker 1: I find myself in certain predicaments, I can always fall
- 3:32Speaker 1: back on the same thing over and over. So while
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to say
- 3:38Speaker 1: to you, the one thing that I did do this
- 3:42Speaker 1: morning that I find to be very consistent in me
- 3:46Speaker 1: is that I find myself grateful. I'm ever grateful for
- 3:52Speaker 1: the things that God has done for me. I may
- 3:55Speaker 1: not always know what to say, but I know how
- 3:59Speaker 1: to say thank you. I do. I know how to
- 4:03Speaker 1: remember and reflect back on where I come from. I
- 4:07Speaker 1: know how to realize where all my blessings come from.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm very very conscious of my journey that I've been on,
- 4:19Speaker 1: the the one that was from then until now, that
- 4:24Speaker 1: journey right there is it's been. It's been. It's been.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's been difficult, man, it really really has. I ain't
- 4:32Speaker 1: gonna lie to you, um me, becoming successful was very difficult.
- 4:41Speaker 1: But as hard as this is to say, I really
- 4:45Speaker 1: really mean this. I wouldn't change nothing about the trip
- 4:52Speaker 1: I've been on number one because I can't change anything
- 4:58Speaker 1: about it. So I never lived my life in regret.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But the main thing is was I discovered along the
- 5:07Speaker 1: way now, not doing the process when you're going through
- 5:11Speaker 1: rough moments that you can't hardly see the good in
- 5:14Speaker 1: it at the time. It's just rough for you and
- 5:17Speaker 1: it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes I thought it was unfair.
- 5:22Speaker 1: But as I am now, I needed every single thing
- 5:26Speaker 1: that happened to me, that happened to me to happen
- 5:31Speaker 1: to me. I hope that makes sense to you. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: needed everything to happen in the exact order and the
- 5:41Speaker 1: exact way that it happened in order for me to
- 5:46Speaker 1: be the person that I've become. And that right there, man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: is just very comforting to me. Missus Jakes told me
- 5:57Speaker 1: one time, he said, the closer you get to God,
- 6:00Speaker 1: the more friendly you all become, the more He will
- 6:04Speaker 1: reveal to you or the how it comes and the
- 6:09Speaker 1: what fays of a lot of things has happened to you,
- 6:12Speaker 1: because a lot of times what troubles us is we
- 6:15Speaker 1: just can't understand why we lost that love one back then.
- 6:19Speaker 1: We just can't understand why we didn't get what we wanted.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Back then, we just don't understand how come our plan
- 6:28Speaker 1: didn't work out and we had to fail so miserably.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Back then, we don't understand the answers to these things. Well,
- 6:35Speaker 1: the closer I've gotten to God, the more those explanations
- 6:39Speaker 1: have become crystal clear to me. And See, the one
- 6:43Speaker 1: thing that I came to the realization everybody is that
- 6:46Speaker 1: the things that was happening to me, they wasn't really
- 6:49Speaker 1: all bad. They really wasn't that they didn't taste good
- 6:53Speaker 1: when it was happening, I didn't enjoy what I was
- 6:56Speaker 1: going through. But as I look back on him and
- 6:59Speaker 1: reflect now, it wasn't all bad. Some of those things
- 7:02Speaker 1: was so necessary for me to get their information because say,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I'm kind of hard
- 7:07Speaker 1: headed and stubborn. I said, I don't know about you,
- 7:11Speaker 1: but I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn. I kind
- 7:15Speaker 1: of like to think that I know something about some
- 7:18Speaker 1: things every now and then, and the things I am
- 7:22Speaker 1: convinced about. I don't really really care for people trying
- 7:26Speaker 1: to talk me off mine. So I can be stubborn
- 7:29Speaker 1: and hard headed sometimes God knows that about me. So
- 7:34Speaker 1: I think to get some of the messages crystal clear
- 7:36Speaker 1: through to me that I needed to learn. That was
- 7:39Speaker 1: this process I had to go through. That process was
- 7:42Speaker 1: my journey, It was my trip. It was my woe,
- 7:46Speaker 1: my pain. Say, everybody got them different, It don't matter
- 7:49Speaker 1: what it is. Everybody got a woe, everybody got a pain,
- 7:52Speaker 1: everybody got a trial, everybody got some tribulations, everybody got
- 7:57Speaker 1: some challenge. I don't care who you are. Dudes, quit
- 7:59Speaker 1: looking at me thinking that I got it going on
- 8:01Speaker 1: so tough man. But if Steve, yeah, it's easy for
- 8:04Speaker 1: you to say that, but you ain't here. You don't know. Wow, Ben,
- 8:09Speaker 1: if you would stop hanging yourself up on your pass
- 8:12Speaker 1: worrying about your woes and your troubles and the situation
- 8:16Speaker 1: you're in, and start praying and start asking God to
- 8:20Speaker 1: get you through it. See a lot of times you
- 8:23Speaker 1: messed it. You messed a message up yourself, because when
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're going through some stuff, you ask God to remove
- 8:29Speaker 1: it and take it away. That ain't the lesson. You
- 8:31Speaker 1: got to learn. Your lesson sometimes it's it's gotta be
- 8:35Speaker 1: how to be strong, how to see it through, how
- 8:40Speaker 1: to bear under it, how to carry that weight, long
- 8:43Speaker 1: distances for long periods of time. That's how you get strong.
- 8:48Speaker 1: The lesson is to make you stronger. But to make
- 8:51Speaker 1: you stronger, you got to carry the weight. You can't
- 8:53Speaker 1: get stronger, you're gonna go to the gym or you're
- 8:55Speaker 1: gonna do something at your house to lift your own
- 8:57Speaker 1: body weight. See, a lot of people can't even do
- 9:02Speaker 1: pushups down. They can't get down. And then the course
- 9:06Speaker 1: of a day, give you a hundred push ups because
- 9:09Speaker 1: they ain't. They ain't, they ain't never try to daybody.
- 9:12Speaker 1: They get to twenty and that shake it so bad
- 9:14Speaker 1: they stop. Who that's too much for me. Well, let
- 9:16Speaker 1: me tell you something. So I learned to quit praying
- 9:19Speaker 1: to take stuff away. My prayer became to give me
- 9:21Speaker 1: the strength to handle it. People oftentimes ask me, how
- 9:24Speaker 1: do you do all that you do in the course
- 9:27Speaker 1: of the day. I don't really know. I just know
- 9:31Speaker 1: I can because I know God don't put more on
- 9:34Speaker 1: you than you can back. So when you ask me
- 9:37Speaker 1: how you do all of what you do in the
- 9:39Speaker 1: course of the day, I got God. God is good.
- 9:44Speaker 1: He'll get you through whatever it is you're going through.
- 9:46Speaker 1: So when you're tripping in you don't know what to say.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Reflect and be grateful for all you reflect on. Think
- 9:54Speaker 1: about God's goodness and watch what he do for you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: That's the cold part. Okay, you're listening, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It is upon us the day after Father's Day. Ladies
- 10:15Speaker 1: and gentlemen, we are here. It's greatness. First of all,
- 10:18Speaker 1: happy to be lated Father's Day, all the fathers out there,

- 10:30Speaker 1: Thank y'all so much. Man. It's daunting tasks, ignorance, highest level.
- 10:36Speaker 1: What did they call it? No, I'm not that person yet.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I don't revenue, dec renu motown users, words that are
- 10:44Speaker 1: above the scale. I don't. Ladies and gentlemen, we're about

- 11:25Speaker 1: in the building top top to everybody, Happy Father's Day
- 11:29Speaker 1: to the fox. But yeah, but a little salty, a
- 11:36Speaker 1: little salty little then I even have it. They took
- 11:45Speaker 1: me I had ye. Yeah. One of my partners called
- 11:51Speaker 1: me and said, man, I couldn't believe it. They took
- 11:53Speaker 1: me out to dinner. Man, and they paid. He said,
- 11:56Speaker 1: I could not believe it. He said, I paid every year,
- 12:02Speaker 1: Jane father, everything back. I took my husband out head.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But it's just money. He's gonna borrow back. So what's
- 12:11Speaker 1: the big deal. I don't paid you. You'll be asking
- 12:15Speaker 1: for that back. What the hell? Right? So over? Just
- 12:23Speaker 1: let me faith, but no complaints. Steven was good. Huh, yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I couldn't complain. Man. My son gave me a card
- 12:34Speaker 1: that was pretty good, my oldest son. Uh and what
- 12:38Speaker 1: he wrote in it, man really touched me. That was good.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So damn make sure you read this car nice. He
- 12:46Speaker 1: laid me out. Every everybody, everybody gave me something. DJ
- 12:50Speaker 1: came over, my grandson, he came over. All he wanted
- 12:55Speaker 1: to do is see you take it from it? Then
- 12:57Speaker 1: he walks away. Gave me a card and some cologne.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Lorie gave me cologne that she had made with a
- 13:10Speaker 1: special name on it, something she always hear me call stuff.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So she gave it two minutes. Name cologne is a
- 13:19Speaker 1: pimp Sugar Honey iced tea. Wow underwear days for you
- 13:28Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, it's printed on the bottle to pimp
- 13:31Speaker 1: sugar Honey iced Tea. All right, coming up at thirty
- 13:36Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, we're gonna talk a little more,
- 13:39Speaker 1: maybe about Father's Day, and we're gonna do ask the
- 13:42Speaker 1: CLLO as well. Right after this you're listening Morning show.
- 13:48Speaker 1: So Steve, you were saying when we went to break
- 13:51Speaker 1: that Lorie gave you some cologne that said what now,
- 13:55Speaker 1: pimp what it's called pimp sugar iced Tea? Yeah on
- 14:02Speaker 1: the bottle. Really, I knew she had it done. It's
- 14:05Speaker 1: going with her new line is coming out, made exclusively
- 14:08Speaker 1: from me. So that was nice. All the kids do
- 14:11Speaker 1: you really good? My son's called me a lot to
- 14:13Speaker 1: me and uh, you know, everybody all laid me out.
- 14:18Speaker 1: My adopted kids, Ellie and Courtney gave me Earth winning
- 14:22Speaker 1: five ballots album and record player. Very thoughtful Gid and
- 14:30Speaker 1: you know Margree what she can talk about this so time. Okay,
- 14:40Speaker 1: we'll go on though. All right, here we go. This
- 14:44Speaker 1: one is from Dina in Roanoke, Virginia. She says, my
- 14:48Speaker 1: husband and I all in a corner store, and I
- 14:50Speaker 1: let my husband do the day to day operations. He
- 14:53Speaker 1: recently hired a girl that is pregnant and she's disrespectful
- 14:56Speaker 1: to me and the store manager. I told my husband
- 14:59Speaker 1: she's ad for business, but he told me to stay
- 15:01Speaker 1: out of it because she's a little rough around the
- 15:04Speaker 1: edges and he's trying to give her a chance. The
- 15:06Speaker 1: store manager suggested I watch her and my husband and
- 15:10Speaker 1: I don't have time to monitor his daily movement. So
- 15:13Speaker 1: should I demand he fired this girl? Please advise, Come on, fellow,
- 15:18Speaker 1: she's love off. Well, I don't I don't know the particulars.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Maybe he's trying to give somebody a chance. I don't
- 15:26Speaker 1: know who The store woman is just says maybe you
- 15:28Speaker 1: should watch her and your husband. I don't know why
- 15:32Speaker 1: he would say that. I don't really know what's going on,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but as long as your businesses are suffering, I think
- 15:42Speaker 1: you have to look at how the numbers at the
- 15:44Speaker 1: store were before she started, versus the numbers how the
- 15:47Speaker 1: store are after she started if it's not hurting business,
- 15:51Speaker 1: but if she's rude to you, yeah, I'm not that Kane.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm not paying you and you rude to me and
- 15:59Speaker 1: you and you're the white Yeah, I find you think
- 16:02Speaker 1: she is. It's a lady that's working. Uh she really
- 16:06Speaker 1: you really find if well, uh, the store the lady
- 16:12Speaker 1: would have said that she's really attractive. The lady would
- 16:16Speaker 1: have said that, it's almost like implying and watch her
- 16:21Speaker 1: and your husband, you know. Yeah right, See, I don't
- 16:26Speaker 1: want to get into that. I don't know why the
- 16:29Speaker 1: store manager would say that to watch her and him. Yo, man,
- 16:33Speaker 1: because you store manager, you try not to have your
- 16:36Speaker 1: job to me, because you start that fired in my house.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I promise you you go, You're gone. Yeah, the moment
- 16:43Speaker 1: I find out that's what you said. Well, the other
- 16:48Speaker 1: girl seems like she's the one that needs to be fired. Yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I got you pregnant. You got to care this mess
- 16:55Speaker 1: somewhere else. You're not going to disrespect the wife. It's
- 16:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying at all, all right? Moving on, Janelle
- 17:02Speaker 1: and Evanston, Illinois says, last year I met a man
- 17:05Speaker 1: and we had a one night stand after drinking a
- 17:08Speaker 1: lot of tequila. I ran into the guy recently had
- 17:10Speaker 1: a gathering and he told everyone in my friend's group
- 17:14Speaker 1: about that night we spend together, and it got back
- 17:16Speaker 1: to the guy was dating at the time. I admitted
- 17:19Speaker 1: it and he called me loose and easy. I was
- 17:22Speaker 1: so hurt and I stopped dating him. He apologized a
- 17:26Speaker 1: million times and once a second chance? Does he deserve
- 17:29Speaker 1: a second chance? And do you think he'll ever use
- 17:32Speaker 1: this against me again? Well? I don't know, but it
- 17:38Speaker 1: could crop up. But you remember the night that she
- 17:42Speaker 1: was loose and easy? Remember that after all? And then
- 17:47Speaker 1: the stink dude that you was wit told everybody at
- 17:50Speaker 1: a gathering. Yeah, I don't know what your anger is.
- 17:54Speaker 1: What to dude that went wow? So you loosing easy
- 17:56Speaker 1: because he'd have told everybody and it was a one
- 17:59Speaker 1: night standing. That's the thing about when we make mistakes,
- 18:02Speaker 1: we have to suffer the consequences. And now you have
- 18:05Speaker 1: a reputation at the party. And I got news for you.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's not just the guy you was dating that thank you,
- 18:12Speaker 1: loose and easy. He told everybody at to gather him.
- 18:16Speaker 1: The other guy, Yeah, so, but he's file and you
- 18:21Speaker 1: know you ran up in to him. So, you know,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I think he's the file guy in this. I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 1: the guy just had a natural reaction and then he
- 18:28Speaker 1: wanted to stop seeing you. But now he wants to
- 18:30Speaker 1: come back because of two reasons. He either misses you
- 18:35Speaker 1: or he liked to loose and easy. Well, well she
- 18:44Speaker 1: stopped dating him because he bought it up. But he's apologized,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and you know, so does he deserve a second chance?
- 18:54Speaker 1: You think? I mean, I don't you know if he
- 18:57Speaker 1: was a good guy. You know, look he what did
- 18:59Speaker 1: he do wrong? He just bought it up. It was
- 19:02Speaker 1: a fact though he was loosing easy. It was one night.
- 19:05Speaker 1: That's what happened. You know. He didn't say you was
- 19:08Speaker 1: a scallywag and a winch and all this heady. He
- 19:12Speaker 1: just said you was loosing easy. Wow you are and
- 19:16Speaker 1: you are so. I don't think you should punish this
- 19:20Speaker 1: guy for it, you know, but you got it. It
- 19:24Speaker 1: was hard, he said, you loosing easy. That ain't harsh.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Great night though, hell of a night. Good God had
- 19:32Speaker 1: to be a good night if he told everybody it
- 19:34Speaker 1: had the harsh. I think, ladies, that the harsh was
- 19:40Speaker 1: that stink dude, that low life that you had to
- 19:44Speaker 1: wander because what he tell it fault. Yeah, I mean,
- 19:48Speaker 1: damn dog, you ain't got to do that. That's foul
- 19:52Speaker 1: on his part. That's why I think the foul happened
- 19:55Speaker 1: was him, because he didn't have to be tried. Just
- 19:58Speaker 1: want to share. See sometimes no, let's see. Oh, how
- 20:03Speaker 1: did she say she was? Huh? How did she say?
- 20:07Speaker 1: She didn't say, she didn't say. But she's old enough
- 20:11Speaker 1: to drink tequila. Thank you, Celo. Coming up next, Church
- 20:17Speaker 1: complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam. Right after this,
- 20:21Speaker 1: you're listening to the Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 20:25Speaker 1: top of the hour, we'll have some tell me something
- 20:27Speaker 1: good news about the Harvey Foundation, the Virtual Mentoring Camp,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and then we'll tell you about some black Girl magic
- 20:34Speaker 1: news from the Track and Field World. Also, we'll talk
- 20:37Speaker 1: about these stories at the top of the hour, So
- 20:40Speaker 1: stay tuned. But right now it is Monday time for
- 20:44Speaker 1: Church Complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam. Read
- 20:53Speaker 1: girl aspendaciously on this ba glory, pontificcy of aptitude of
- 21:09Speaker 1: people we glorified, magnified on an unimptified Right there, all
- 21:18Speaker 1: that is within our grace, as we new way nuanced
- 21:28Speaker 1: way through the epertoire of our meal existence. He began
- 21:37Speaker 1: this day with one or preclusion after another as we
- 21:46Speaker 1: venture into the minds of the dot Ballacho. Come on, now,
- 21:54Speaker 1: people's at this here church, I come on, deacon. If
- 22:00Speaker 1: they are atrocitis like that, that that that that that's
- 22:05Speaker 1: real right there with the autrocities of the congregation. Yes,
- 22:10Speaker 1: sa I Pastor. The members are trying to raise money
- 22:14Speaker 1: to get the church back in good financial standing. So
- 22:17Speaker 1: we are having a sidewalks sell on Saturday. Now. They
- 22:23Speaker 1: have several things that they want to sell, but of
- 22:25Speaker 1: course we need your approval. Now. Sister k Baby wants
- 22:31Speaker 1: to sell her creation heavenly see through health tips, but
- 22:35Speaker 1: there's nothing heavenly about that past heavenly see through health
- 22:39Speaker 1: to tips. Y'r Carl, if you want to give a
- 22:41Speaker 1: k Baby the rate to sell the health to tip.
- 22:44Speaker 1: We've all been walking with sister k Baby ever since
- 22:48Speaker 1: we got off out of a depend holy and we
- 22:52Speaker 1: are going to allow her to sell these heavily. I've
- 22:56Speaker 1: seen him, I haven't seen him. The Old Glory is
- 23:03Speaker 1: what this should be called. They had a fitting. They
- 23:09Speaker 1: came to them or pastor study and had a really
- 23:13Speaker 1: many fashions show to show me how heavily they were,
- 23:16Speaker 1: and I had to agree with us, such a K baby, baby,
- 23:24Speaker 1: So wait a minute, that's bad. Who who are that?
- 23:28Speaker 1: The fitting faster that you sound? This K baby? Whoever
- 23:34Speaker 1: fox you better come on? All yours is all of mine.
- 23:47Speaker 1: That's all right. So I guess to give a K
- 23:49Speaker 1: baby the right to say the heavenly see through health
- 23:53Speaker 1: the times. All right, that's only moving out. We have
- 23:58Speaker 1: probably heard them thinking of you. I'm thinking you clued you.
- 24:13Speaker 1: That was the theme, so that they did to show
- 24:15Speaker 1: with it, K baby doing top level horsemen. All right,
- 24:25Speaker 1: moving along past it. Just give you the people. Give
- 24:30Speaker 1: people all what they wound, what they want. The UFC granted,
- 24:36Speaker 1: fight will be one of the main attractions at the sidewalks.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Their sister Moselle Davids and Sister Glenda Rogers will be fighting.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Those tickets afforded ours. But the church will make fifteen
- 24:48Speaker 1: of that. That's your call. I'll each ticket party, we're
- 24:51Speaker 1: gonna make fifth. I put two hundred on sister Moselle
- 24:54Speaker 1: Marsell all Mosell I figured as much I had for
- 25:03Speaker 1: that too. I can see clearly enough the pain. Who Lord,
- 25:14Speaker 1: all right, now, this is your call again, I passed it.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Would you be against Brother Xavier selling fried chicken with
- 25:22Speaker 1: weed in it? Now this could work because they're gonna
- 25:25Speaker 1: have to buy more chicken because they're gonna be more hungry.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Now you get money already. That's more more hillified the
- 25:37Speaker 1: idea I've heard cried weed, cried weed, chicken, weed and
- 25:41Speaker 1: chicken making people want more chicken, selling more chicken, raising
- 25:46Speaker 1: more money the church, ready, man, man, man, all right now,
- 25:54Speaker 1: also out there on the sidewalk, say your ex running.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But sweet Daddy Douglas to sell golden nugget rings outside
- 26:03Speaker 1: the sanctuary. He would donate to percent of the charity
- 26:06Speaker 1: of your choosing. But it's uh, if that's all right
- 26:10Speaker 1: with you, Paths, it's up to you. He wants me
- 26:18Speaker 1: and me and sweet Dad going fifty fifty going to
- 26:21Speaker 1: the jackpot, Just to the jack pot, Deacon, not to
- 26:24Speaker 1: the jackpot joint of Jerusal. Well after the church. The
- 26:29Speaker 1: money is for the church to get back into good
- 26:31Speaker 1: financial standards. What are you talking about? Well, I thought
- 26:35Speaker 1: the nugget rings was exempt from this, hill Man. The
- 26:39Speaker 1: nugget rings the main thing he's asking you is can
- 26:42Speaker 1: you make sure the police ain't that now. I don't
- 26:44Speaker 1: know what that's is about that he don't tweet. Daddy
- 26:47Speaker 1: don't want the police ran and we have to have sometimes.
- 26:49Speaker 1: We ain't had police said our church in years. M m.
- 26:56Speaker 1: But he just he just wants to make sure he
- 26:58Speaker 1: does he have a record. I don't know much about
- 27:00Speaker 1: sweet Daddy, Douglas. Sweet Daddy has everything. Sweet Daddy, but
- 27:11Speaker 1: we don't have to worry about the police cause or
- 27:13Speaker 1: Ka Baby got a sideline us for them. Took baby
- 27:21Speaker 1: talking all the time. I'm telling you that dog old
- 27:27Speaker 1: ka baby, you think g I got a grand hustle
- 27:31Speaker 1: k baby here out hustling everybody. Last, but not least,
- 27:37Speaker 1: I want to tell you directly, Pastor that I'm I
- 27:40Speaker 1: thinking about leaving the deacon area and moving on into ministering.
- 27:46Speaker 1: So I think it's time for us. I think it's
- 27:50Speaker 1: time for a new pastor at this check. So, oh, well,
- 27:55Speaker 1: you had the first head right. You can lead a
- 28:00Speaker 1: deacon ship. If you won't like that, you can go
- 28:05Speaker 1: get into pastor if you won't. There ain't no openings
- 28:10Speaker 1: over here. That depends on the church. Now at the
- 28:14Speaker 1: church votes and won't meet as they passed. What voting
- 28:20Speaker 1: is you're referring to, You're gonna be my deacon is
- 28:23Speaker 1: what I'm really saying. Oh so you must not know
- 28:28Speaker 1: how to go. We got to go. They ain't got
- 28:31Speaker 1: no new We don't vote at this church. This is
- 28:34Speaker 1: what they call a dictator ship. Coming up in the
- 28:37Speaker 1: top of the hour, entertainment and national news. Right after this,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show time now for tell
- 28:47Speaker 1: me something good. Here's some good news. Yesterday was Father's Day,
- 28:50Speaker 1: of course, and Steve, Steve, Steve, how busy was your weekend?
- 28:55Speaker 1: You hosted young men ages thirteen to eighteen at the
- 28:59Speaker 1: Harvey Foundation in virtual mentoring cap There was special guest
- 29:03Speaker 1: Jeezy Uh. You had a panel discussion called Past the
- 29:06Speaker 1: Pain with Tracy Martin, father of Trayvon Martin, Aubrey Wright,
- 29:10Speaker 1: father of Dante Wright, and Michael Brown senior, father of
- 29:14Speaker 1: Michael Brown. How was it, Steve? First of all, let
- 29:18Speaker 1: me thank the three fathers were coming on to sharing
- 29:21Speaker 1: sharing their experience of how to get past the pain.
- 29:25Speaker 1: It was very open and honest conversation. We had thirty
- 29:30Speaker 1: seven thousand young men joining the literal in this weekend
- 29:35Speaker 1: thirty seven thousand congratulation, and so we touched a lot
- 29:43Speaker 1: of boys lives virtually now. The getting past the pain
- 29:48Speaker 1: was one of probably the most effective. I've done a
- 29:52Speaker 1: lot of great speeches with panelists boys, but I really
- 29:55Speaker 1: appreciate it the fathers of the slain brothers sla young men,
- 30:00Speaker 1: because a lot of our young men have a lot
- 30:02Speaker 1: of anger with the police, and they had a lot
- 30:05Speaker 1: of questions of why they kill us and and and
- 30:10Speaker 1: they had a lot of questions about moving past pain
- 30:13Speaker 1: because a lot of these boys are dealing with the
- 30:15Speaker 1: absence of their father, which is like a death to them.
- 30:18Speaker 1: A lot of them are having issues because they they've
- 30:21Speaker 1: lost loved ones themselves, and they needed real answers. And
- 30:26Speaker 1: Tracy Martin and Michael Brown Senior and brother Dwight Aubrey
- 30:32Speaker 1: were very, very insightful. I think the most important piece
- 30:37Speaker 1: of it was Davante's Aubrey's father. He admitted that he
- 30:46Speaker 1: wasn't with none of us that because they can't even
- 30:49Speaker 1: get an indictment brought down on the police that killed
- 30:54Speaker 1: his son. But then Trey var and Martin's father had
- 30:57Speaker 1: to admit to him that he said look, we didn't
- 30:59Speaker 1: get no justice that George Zimmerman walked and Michael Brown
- 31:02Speaker 1: h they with no indictment was bought against this man
- 31:06Speaker 1: that killed his son. So I had some really really
- 31:09Speaker 1: honest conversations with the three brothers. Man. We opened up
- 31:13Speaker 1: until we talked about a lot about this country, about
- 31:17Speaker 1: the racism in it. We talked about what the young
- 31:20Speaker 1: men could do to protect themselves, and Tracy Martin mostly
- 31:24Speaker 1: the most elegant thing I've ever seen about complying with
- 31:27Speaker 1: the police, but then also admitting at the same time
- 31:30Speaker 1: that even in complying with with the police, sometimes even
- 31:34Speaker 1: that doesn't work. So the open conversation that we had
- 31:39Speaker 1: was really really, really really tough. Man, it was tough.
- 31:44Speaker 1: It was some It was some tears on their cameras.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Man with the boys, and so I want to I
- 31:49Speaker 1: want to thank everybody that joined us for that man,
- 31:52Speaker 1: very very telling. I want to thank Microsoft. Microsoft came
- 31:57Speaker 1: along and provided all these boys with computers. Microsoft have
- 32:01Speaker 1: come in with over a hundred thousand items for the boys.
- 32:06Speaker 1: They also got with a shade from Microsoft and donated
- 32:10Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars to each one of the foundations for
- 32:13Speaker 1: the slain boys. Michael Brown Senior and Tracy Martin. So
- 32:18Speaker 1: it was just really a compelling day. And I want
- 32:22Speaker 1: to thank all of the fathers, are Jeezy and all
- 32:25Speaker 1: the other men who sacrifice their Father's Day weekend to
- 32:30Speaker 1: become father figures to the over thirty seven thousand boys
- 32:33Speaker 1: this week, greaty things. Do you know that our mentoring
- 32:38Speaker 1: program doing COVID reached over six million boys doing COVID?
- 32:47Speaker 1: All right, well, as we move on and switch, here
- 32:51Speaker 1: is Steve. It's time now for today's headline. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 32:54Speaker 1: miss a trip. Thank you, Thank you everybody. Good morning
- 32:57Speaker 1: and good Monday morning. Well, the weather is a big
- 32:59Speaker 1: story today, Tropical depression Claudette being blamed for at least
- 33:02Speaker 1: twelve deaths across eastern southern states, with ten people killed
- 33:06Speaker 1: in a pile up on a badly flooded road in Alabama, Alabama,
- 33:10Speaker 1: right outside Mobile and before it begins to look like
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's going to move out to sea, Claudette is still
- 33:15Speaker 1: sparking tremendous floods this morning and the Carolinas north and south. Meanwhile,
- 33:19Speaker 1: in Southwest, intense heat is contributing to a wildfire about
- 33:22Speaker 1: one hundred miles north of Phoenix. Accord has appointed an
- 33:26Speaker 1: attorney to represent George Floyd's convicted murderer, day Rik Chauvin,
- 33:29Speaker 1: because Chauvin says he's financially unable to defend himself in
- 33:32Speaker 1: his upcoming federal civil rights case related to mister Floyd's murder.
- 33:36Speaker 1: According to the law, legal reset representation must be furnished
- 33:40Speaker 1: for any person without the money necessary to obtain adequate
- 33:43Speaker 1: counseling and the investigative and other experts needed to mount
- 33:47Speaker 1: an adequate defense. Now, the judge didn't name a legal
- 33:49Speaker 1: aid attorney. He named a private attorney for Chauvin. Up
- 33:52Speaker 1: till now, Derek Chauvin's legal fees were paid by a
- 33:55Speaker 1: police union affiliated fund. Chicago's Public Health Commission says racism
- 34:00Speaker 1: should be considered an official health hazard and that the
- 34:03Speaker 1: ways that it affects, especially black people, should be officially charted.
- 34:07Speaker 1: People will be able to talk about neighborhood level indicators
- 34:09Speaker 1: like rates of chronic disease or food insecurity in the
- 34:13Speaker 1: same way that we've come to talk about COVID case rates,
- 34:16Speaker 1: because they all matter. Doctor Alison Arwadi says the evidence
- 34:19Speaker 1: clearly shows that racism and housing and education and healthcare
- 34:23Speaker 1: are directly responsible for the shorter lifespans of African Americans.
- 34:28Speaker 1: While many in this country celebrated June tenth this past weekend,
- 34:32Speaker 1: something not reported was the fact that there was also
- 34:35Speaker 1: a Southern underground railroad going the other way, which allowed
- 34:39Speaker 1: enslaved blacks the opportunity to escape to Mexico. In fact,
- 34:42Speaker 1: to go into a report and National Geographic, a village
- 34:45Speaker 1: in northern Mexico celebrates Juneteenth every year. They call it
- 34:49Speaker 1: the Dia de los Negros Day of the Blacks. For
- 34:52Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty years they've been doing it. Nacimiento
- 34:54Speaker 1: is the town. It's located at the base of the
- 34:56Speaker 1: Sierra Madre and descendants of black Seminoles migrat there to
- 35:00Speaker 1: escape the racist brutality they suffered under the whites, especially
- 35:04Speaker 1: in Texas, where the government had actually sent them to
- 35:06Speaker 1: protect the whites. And Juneteenth is celebrated by folks eating
- 35:09Speaker 1: black seminole foods every year and dancing to Nortonia music.
- 35:14Speaker 1: And they're called maskogos. That group of people mascogos. Finally
- 35:18Speaker 1: at summertimes, summertimes, some summertimes, it is some some some
- 35:22Speaker 1: Today is the first day of summer. Enjoy, it's gonna
- 35:25Speaker 1: be hot. Okay, back to the Steve Harvey Warding Show.
- 35:28Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right, Steve, come on, introduce us.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Let's go. You hired them here, lady and gentlemen. Without
- 35:39Speaker 1: further dude, the demention twisted mind of Jay Anthony Brown.
- 35:46Speaker 1: First of all, let me thank everybody who came out
- 35:48Speaker 1: to the Hogpen last night, Biker's Club and Raleigh Love Carolina.
- 35:52Speaker 1: We had a great time. It made me an honorary
- 35:55Speaker 1: hogpen that had to do ten push ups. I did three,
- 35:58Speaker 1: but I mean anyway, and I did it up with
- 36:02Speaker 1: my best. A lot of home pendels can't do. I
- 36:05Speaker 1: zipped man up. But anyway, this song is dedicated to
- 36:14Speaker 1: dads who don't get a lot of love. I ain't
- 36:18Speaker 1: the one hit it. I ain't one to be at
- 36:32Speaker 1: home with the kids. Stuck cutness can be. But I
- 36:36Speaker 1: know what's up on these sneaky dames that's played by
- 36:39Speaker 1: my children. You ain't gonna party. Why I'm watching your gremlins? Daddy, God,
- 36:44Speaker 1: come on, don't even trying me. But I'm so happy
- 36:47Speaker 1: when that we've been buying me. Can you watch for me?
- 36:50Speaker 1: It's like the question, come and get your kids. I
- 36:53Speaker 1: gotta freak on the way. Do you need to be reminded?
- 36:57Speaker 1: I spoke superside choice be eyes high, so I can't
- 37:01Speaker 1: keep him to day nothing doing. I'll be dissing, drunk
- 37:05Speaker 1: through and it's true, though, don't make me at a
- 37:08Speaker 1: damn fool. You gotta raise your children. It's on you now.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I love my granddaughters and sons. If they should go,
- 37:17Speaker 1: I help them out with the college funny. Oh. I
- 37:19Speaker 1: love to show them all, but the baby sitting. I
- 37:23Speaker 1: got a bad call or a headache because baby sit.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I can't take not doing summer or even spring break.
- 37:31Speaker 1: So please don't buy from me. Ask hers I'm looking
- 37:34Speaker 1: at your funny yo, and start laughing living with me
- 37:37Speaker 1: so you have fun. My grandkids on my world, but
- 37:42Speaker 1: I ain't the one. I love them, I love them all.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I love the care my Hoogany, I love Morgan, I
- 37:48Speaker 1: love Core's Ral ain't carry, I love Peyton, I love Danja, Tyrrell,
- 37:54Speaker 1: Brandon and the Times. Love them all. Ohbody, leave nobody
- 37:59Speaker 1: out if I didn't brand branddaddy, love you okay, but
- 38:04Speaker 1: can be babysitting. I ain't the one. I'm not the one.
- 38:15Speaker 1: At least you didn't say, Now, I'm not really good
- 38:20Speaker 1: at that. Jain't. They put a cartoon on my i
- 38:25Speaker 1: G page where they left little Noah Whitney one time
- 38:28Speaker 1: I'll buy the pool and they came back he was
- 38:31Speaker 1: in the pool the worst. Yeah, they don't even ask me. Yeah,
- 38:45Speaker 1: all right, coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 38:48Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about Juneteenth right after this you're listening
- 38:54Speaker 1: morning show. But we all know jum teenth was this
- 38:57Speaker 1: past Saturday, and it is now an official federal holiday.
- 39:01Speaker 1: There were celebrations all over the country, especially in Galaston, Texas. However,
- 39:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Nation, this is for you. It is time
- 39:09Speaker 1: to stay woke today. We have work to do. You
- 39:13Speaker 1: know that Democratic leader Stacy Abrams has declared this summer
- 39:17Speaker 1: hot call summer okay, all summer right, Why call your
- 39:24Speaker 1: senators today. They need to hear from you. Call them
- 39:27Speaker 1: every day in the month of June and let them
- 39:30Speaker 1: know they should support for the People Act. Okay. The
- 39:35Speaker 1: four The People Act would institute automatic voter registration, modernized
- 39:39Speaker 1: voter registration systems, expand early voting requirements, also universal access
- 39:46Speaker 1: to vote by mail, restore the right for people with
- 39:49Speaker 1: felony convictions. So please call your senators today. They need
- 39:54Speaker 1: to hear from you. Call them every single day in
- 39:57Speaker 1: the month of June and let them know the should
- 40:00Speaker 1: support the Four The People Act. Okay? One eight eight
- 40:04Speaker 1: eight four five three thirty two eleven, I said, one
- 40:08Speaker 1: eight eight eight four five three thirty two eleven. That
- 40:12Speaker 1: is a number. Voting rights are being threatened across the country.
- 40:17Speaker 1: And we know this, but we got June teent. But
- 40:20Speaker 1: voting rights are being threatened across the country. And what's
- 40:24Speaker 1: the game of the bill that we're trying to pass again,
- 40:26Speaker 1: Show for the People, Act for the People as it's
- 40:29Speaker 1: the Four the People Act. See y'all listen. I'm okay
- 40:34Speaker 1: with them giving June tenth thousand holiday national holiday, that's fine,
- 40:39Speaker 1: we got, but don't give us something. Why are you
- 40:43Speaker 1: blatantly in our face denys what we asked you for.
- 40:47Speaker 1: We asked you to be treated equal, We asked you
- 40:53Speaker 1: to be given the same rights as we've supposed to
- 40:58Speaker 1: already have. Yeah, we've asked you and and the fact
- 41:02Speaker 1: that we have to ask you for this is is
- 41:06Speaker 1: out of balance anyway. But for these Senators to be
- 41:10Speaker 1: set up and be actively trying to veto and not
- 41:14Speaker 1: pass for the People Act is a slap in the
- 41:18Speaker 1: face at not just democracy but decency. So now I'm
- 41:23Speaker 1: not I don't I appreciate the June tenth thing. I
- 41:26Speaker 1: don't believe now that that that don't matter to me.
- 41:30Speaker 1: You know, you can put that up there with Columbus Day.
- 41:32Speaker 1: What what what? What is that? But what you what
- 41:37Speaker 1: you cannot do is act like this racist attack on
- 41:43Speaker 1: our liberties and our freedoms and our inialable rights and
- 41:48Speaker 1: the denial of us of any participation in this constitution
- 41:52Speaker 1: is Ain't nobody sleep on that now. Stacy Abrons is
- 41:56Speaker 1: a front runner for us. Now if you remember, she
- 42:01Speaker 1: barely got by Governor Kemp last time in my correct
- 42:06Speaker 1: yeah yeah, but the next time. But but the next time, Kemp,
- 42:12Speaker 1: she's gonna win and you will not be. But whoever
- 42:20Speaker 1: we put up against you, we are going to register
- 42:22Speaker 1: record numbers. Ever, it don't matter, It don't matter, because
- 42:28Speaker 1: we've seen the power of the vote actually work. And
- 42:31Speaker 1: now that you've awakened to sleep in John, you're not
- 42:33Speaker 1: gonna put us back to sleep. And I want to
- 42:36Speaker 1: thank all of the athletes that evolved, all of the
- 42:40Speaker 1: young social media influencers involved. I think to strip us
- 42:46Speaker 1: for releasing Nate video to help voters we active. I
- 42:53Speaker 1: want to thank that young rapper Yellowtail all everybody that
- 42:58Speaker 1: got involved. Man, he's young. People are serious about this
- 43:02Speaker 1: and they're smart to this too, and this is the
- 43:04Speaker 1: smartest young generation that's come along in a while, and
- 43:08Speaker 1: so we are paying attention. The number is eight eight
- 43:11Speaker 1: eight eight five three thirty two eleven eight eighty four
- 43:17Speaker 1: five three eighty thirty two eleven eight eight eight four
- 43:21Speaker 1: five three three to eleven. And we're gonna be pushing
- 43:23Speaker 1: this number all through the month of June, and we
- 43:26Speaker 1: are going to make a difference. And if you don't
- 43:28Speaker 1: vote for it, the next time you up for the
- 43:30Speaker 1: Senate race, we're gonna make sure you're gone out. They're there.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Are you gonna win in the Red States? But the
- 43:38Speaker 1: rest of y'all out Coming up next, fresh off vacation,
- 43:42Speaker 1: it is the nephew with the prank phone call for today.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning
- 43:48Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour. Right
- 43:53Speaker 1: about four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today.
- 43:56Speaker 1: The subject my best friend's wife is two much? Okay,
- 44:02Speaker 1: too much. We'll get into it. What do you hear
- 44:04Speaker 1: this letter? We'll get into it a little later, but
- 44:07Speaker 1: right now the nephew is back. He was on vacation
- 44:10Speaker 1: last week. Junior was in for him. But the nephew
- 44:12Speaker 1: is here today with the prank phone call? What you
- 44:15Speaker 1: got for us nash Workers comp Workers com? Yeah, yeah,
- 44:22Speaker 1: sounds hard. Let's check it out. Let's go get Yeah. Hello, hello,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your vincent. Please. Who's calling? My
- 44:32Speaker 1: name is ed Ed from the human Resources. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely,
- 44:37Speaker 1: what's up? What's up? Well? BENC wanted first of all
- 44:41Speaker 1: check on you. We know you're got injured here at
- 44:43Speaker 1: the job. How are you doing so far? Yeah, man,
- 44:47Speaker 1: I'm I'm making that man. You know, everything's cool and uh,
- 44:51Speaker 1: you know, I don't know how long. The therapy is
- 44:54Speaker 1: going pretty good though, but I'm all right, I'm okay.
- 44:57Speaker 1: The therapy is going pretty well. Yeah, it's they've said.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I'm doing all right. The pain level is about maybe
- 45:03Speaker 1: a fixed still, but it's getting done it though. Okay. Listen,
- 45:08Speaker 1: have you been getting your check on time? Yeah, I've
- 45:11Speaker 1: been getting the man, and I appreciate it. But it
- 45:13Speaker 1: really helps, man, because you know, I ain't able to
- 45:16Speaker 1: work right now. They said it's gonna be a little while,
- 45:18Speaker 1: so I appreciate that. Y'all the one defending the check,
- 45:23Speaker 1: yes sir, yes, sir. We all want to getting the
- 45:24Speaker 1: checks out and want to make sure that that's definitely
- 45:26Speaker 1: getting there, so you're yeah, yeah, it's good. It's all good, man.

- 53:35Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 53:37Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, I you. Subject
- 53:41Speaker 1: my best friend's wife is too much. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:46Speaker 1: I am a twenty seven year old man and I
- 53:48Speaker 1: have a best friend and we've been super tight for years.
- 53:52Speaker 1: We've been through all the good and bad girlfriends together,
- 53:56Speaker 1: and now that he's married, I want to tell him
- 53:58Speaker 1: so bad that his wife is too much. She's too
- 54:03Speaker 1: much of everything. She's tall, thick, wears big hair, big lashes,
- 54:10Speaker 1: and her nails and toe nails are very long. She's
- 54:15Speaker 1: what we used to call soulful and would only fool
- 54:19Speaker 1: around with them, but would never make them our number
- 54:23Speaker 1: one girl. Okay, this woman put put that thing on
- 54:27Speaker 1: him and he's gone. He talks about her NonStop and
- 54:30Speaker 1: doesn't like to be away from her for long. He
- 54:33Speaker 1: invited me over last Sunday for steaks on a grill,
- 54:36Speaker 1: and when I got there, he was still at the store,
- 54:39Speaker 1: so I sat and talked to his wife. We had
- 54:41Speaker 1: a friendly conversation at first, and then she started tearing
- 54:46Speaker 1: up and went into a story about how my best
- 54:49Speaker 1: friend isn't pleasing her and she needs a real man
- 54:52Speaker 1: to take care of her needs. I was thrown for
- 54:55Speaker 1: a loop but tried to comfort her. She got closer
- 54:59Speaker 1: to me, and with that she heard I'm blessed. Then
- 55:03Speaker 1: she looked at my mid section and winked. I pushed
- 55:06Speaker 1: her away, and she sprung right back on me and
- 55:09Speaker 1: grabbed my mid section and got a nice handful guy.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Because I had on jogging pants, she asked if she
- 55:19Speaker 1: could see it, and when I said no, she tried
- 55:22Speaker 1: to take it out of my pants herself. I struggled
- 55:26Speaker 1: with her for a minute, and then we heard my
- 55:28Speaker 1: best friend pull up. I ran into the bathroom because
- 55:31Speaker 1: during the struggle I became aroused. The rest of the
- 55:35Speaker 1: day at his house was stressful. I know if I
- 55:39Speaker 1: tell my best friend any of this, it could end
- 55:41Speaker 1: our friendship. Should I tell her how foul she is?
- 55:45Speaker 1: Or avoid them both? WHOA? I was not expecting any
- 55:50Speaker 1: of this. This letter took a turn, didn't it. You're right,
- 55:54Speaker 1: she's too much. She's way too much, and this is
- 55:57Speaker 1: a dangerous position you're in because any wrong move on
- 56:00Speaker 1: your part could totally end your friendship, and that's what
- 56:02Speaker 1: you don't want. So I say this to you, Say
- 56:06Speaker 1: nothing to him about his ridiculous wife, and just stay
- 56:09Speaker 1: away from them. If they invite you over again, and
- 56:12Speaker 1: I'm sure they will make excuses, don't go, ever, don't
- 56:17Speaker 1: ever go back over there. His wife is too crazy,
- 56:20Speaker 1: she's out of control. She sounds like the kind of
- 56:23Speaker 1: person who will lie on you, and you know say
- 56:27Speaker 1: that you came on to her when it was her
- 56:29Speaker 1: trifling ratchet behind all the time. So again, stay away
- 56:33Speaker 1: from them as a couple for sure, and never ever
- 56:37Speaker 1: be alone with her again. She has no morals to
- 56:40Speaker 1: do that to you like it was nothing, and she's
- 56:43Speaker 1: willing to risk it all for some well, you get
- 56:47Speaker 1: the picture. If she's that loose with you, she's bound
- 56:50Speaker 1: to try it with someone else, who she heard you know,
- 56:54Speaker 1: is blessed, and hopefully she'll get caught, you know, and
- 56:57Speaker 1: then she'll lose her husband, which is a good man
- 57:01Speaker 1: according to you. So again, just stay away, stay quiet.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Your friend won't believe you anyway. If you tell him,
- 57:07Speaker 1: he's so strong, she'll got what's coming to her eventually,
- 57:11Speaker 1: and it probably, I'm sure it won't be a moment,
- 57:14Speaker 1: a moment too soon, Steve, Well, we got a problem here, homie.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Sorry you're going through this, but and this ain't good man.
- 57:29Speaker 1: This is gonna end up badly for everybody in this letter,
- 57:33Speaker 1: including you. So here's let me just walk you through
- 57:38Speaker 1: what happened to you though. So you understand, you said,
- 57:41Speaker 1: y'all real tight. You and your boy y'all been through
- 57:44Speaker 1: a lot. You had some good and bad girlfriends together.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Now he's married, and now you want to tell him
- 57:51Speaker 1: about his wife. You can't. She tall, thick, where big hair,
- 57:55Speaker 1: got big lashes, long nails, and toe nails are very long.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I don't know where when this started being a fad out.
- 58:04Speaker 1: I've been out the game for a long time, so
- 58:05Speaker 1: I don't know when they started doing the long toenails. Um,
- 58:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Or maybe she just into open toe
- 58:13Speaker 1: shoes or you know, I'm not really in the claw
- 58:17Speaker 1: type feet long toenails. I do like on paint it,
- 58:25Speaker 1: but not long. Um. She's what we used to call soulful.
- 58:30Speaker 1: And you fool around with him, but y'all gonna make
- 58:32Speaker 1: him your number one. Well, now here's the problem. This
- 58:35Speaker 1: woman put that thing on him and he gone, well
- 58:39Speaker 1: that's it. We can stop writing this letter. See your
- 58:42Speaker 1: partner whip. Ain't nothing we can do about that. We
- 58:44Speaker 1: can't help you. And because your description of her, it
- 58:49Speaker 1: didn't got it. He talks about her NonStop and don't
- 58:53Speaker 1: like to be away from her for long. So he
- 58:55Speaker 1: asked you to come over for stakes on the grill.
- 58:57Speaker 1: You got there. He wasn't home well so much before.
- 59:00Speaker 1: He don't like to be alone. See a lot of
- 59:04Speaker 1: men say stuff about their marriage that ain't really true.
- 59:08Speaker 1: If he don't like being alone, whines his ass at
- 59:10Speaker 1: the stove. You know they could have went to the
- 59:13Speaker 1: stow together. Yeah, but he needed a break. All this
- 59:18Speaker 1: long hair, big hair, nails, and all this hill. He
- 59:22Speaker 1: lying he went to the store. He probably sitting in
- 59:24Speaker 1: the parking lot at the stove right now, just breathing heavy,
- 59:28Speaker 1: just trying to catch your breath, because he's been at
- 59:31Speaker 1: the hospital, this hell for all this time. He wants
- 59:34Speaker 1: you to think he got something real because he'd have
- 59:36Speaker 1: made him mistake. So y'all sitting there and he wasn't
- 59:40Speaker 1: at home, y'all having a friendly conversation. Now big girls
- 59:44Speaker 1: started tearing up. Start talking about how your best friend
- 59:47Speaker 1: ain't pleasing and she needs a real man and take
- 59:50Speaker 1: care of her needs. All right, hold that thought, that
- 59:53Speaker 1: thought well. Steve's response at twenty three minutes after the
- 59:59Speaker 1: hours Strawberry Letters, subject for today my best friend's wife
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: is too much. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter, the subject my best friend's wife
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: is too much? All right, we're talking about this young
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: couple and twenty seven. They've been homeless for a long time.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Went through we used to run girls together and everything,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: and then he used to have this type of girl soulful,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: big tall, thick, big hall, big lashes, long nails, but
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: this one got long toe nails. This is probably the
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: whole difference maker right here. And so now he didn't
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: marry this girl. He talked about it constantly and don't
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: like being away from him. Well, he do like being
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: away from him. Course when you got over there sunday,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: he was at the stove. Because he was down at
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the stove, just sitting in the parking lot, just getting
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: a brink. Uh, y'all started having a friendly conversation. She
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: started tearing up and told you how friend ain't pleasing her.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: She need a real man. Now here what a letter turned.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I was thrown for a loop, but I tried to
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: comfort her. You can't pack them types of people on
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the back. You can't do that. Once you touched her back,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: that signals to her and them toes trying to make
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a move, throwing this whole thing. And you tried to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: comfort her, so you patted her on the back. She
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: got closer and then whispered that she heard I'm blessed.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Now why she hid this at she heard that from
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: your best friend, That's probably why. Then she looked at
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: your mid section and winked. You pushed her away. Now
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you know why you had to push her away, because
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: she was comforted her, patting her on the back. That's
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: what happened. And then she grabbed your mid section and
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: she got a handful because you had on your dogging pants.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: She asked me if she could see it. I said no.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: She tried to take it out my pants herself. Y'all,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: y'all too close to them, y'all, way too close, yogi
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: friend's house, way too close. See, when you're free and
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: at home, you're supposed to stay outside by the grill,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: supposed to be on the porch somewhere. You're supposed to
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: be turning the meat or moving the ice around in
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: the cooler. You all in the pattering home the back,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: comfort in her. You can't comfort a woman that's got
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: long ass toenail. I'm telling them this, it's the whole thing.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: See a woman with real long toenails and hang out
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: over the shoot, pull along on the sidewalk when she walking. Yeah,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you gotta be good. So I struggled with her for
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: a minute. Now she big, tall, thick, big hair, big.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: It's hard. You're struggling. Then you hurt your friend pull up.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: You ran to the bathroom because doing the struggle, you
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: got a little arius that's caused you twenty seven. It
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: don't take much. She touched me. Even if you don't
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: want them, if they touch you, your answer is lit. Yeah,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: the rest of the dead, did you twenty seven? It
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: don't take much thoughts touching this one thoughts get you there.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: She touched. The rest of the day at his house
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: was stressful. I know if I tell my best friend
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: any of this, it could be in our friendship. Should
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I tell how foule she is? Avoid them? Vote? All right,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: here's a deal. You have to avoid them. You have to.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: You cannot tell it. He is going to find out,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: and she gonna go somewhere else. You turned her down,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: but she gonna make a move somewhere else. So that's
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: really it. You in a precarious position. Don't go over
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: there at the more animal grilling at his house. Yeah,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you are all them days old right there. And you know,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: some friendships is for a season, and you and a friend.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: You know, I got some friends that I was friends
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: within the twenties, but we don't make the cut. You
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: can't say nothing about his wife. He ain't gonna take
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: it right because he sprung, and just let it go
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: and just be there. Don't ever tell him about the incident,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: even when their relationship is over. Just let it go.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: That's all I got for you. Man. You're a young dude.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I know this is new for you. Every man in
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: here has been in this situation where one of their
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: friends girls got a little crazy. I've been very fortunate
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: in my life and that none of my partners have
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: have been involved with people like this, But it happens
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: often often, and y'all young, stay away from her. Run
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: and now let this be a lesson from you. Stop
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: fooling with them soul for girls. Because one of y'all
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: gonna get too close and they latch you on. You're
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: gonna get whipped just like he is. Next thing, you know,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you beating married one. So what is the moral of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: this story? Yeah? What do we learn today? Stay away
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: from long ass tolin learn something new every day. Every day.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: You have got to stay away from long ass to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: his best friend is cutting all right? Well, thank you? Yeah,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: that's all I got for y'all. Really can't go no
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: deeper than that. It's where you know, run run now.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Been with someone. The first time I ever saw that
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: was in La What long long tonails, kick a tree
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and chop? Listen post person that need to put on
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: all that extra stuff is lacking in a lot of
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: department who need long tone. Post your comments on Today

- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time now for
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Junior and Sports Talk. What you got junior? Well, Shirley,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: some people went home? Oh done fishing? No no, no, no,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: no no. You gotta say bye bye to the Philadelphia
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: seventy six of Atlanta going to the Eastern Conference Final
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: where they will face Milwaukee. We gotta say goodbye to
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Utah they going home as well. And then on top
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: of that, the Brooklyn Nets then went home as went
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: in the world. I'm will tell you right now that
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: is what did you see? The game? Said tonight, Uncle,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: that was a good game. I give Kevin and man,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Kevin Durant, everything everything, I
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: don't don't care what nobody saying. Kevin Durant currently in
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: this league right here is the greatest thing I've seen.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: He's the best basketball player in the in the world
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: right now, even in a loss. This dude right here,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the minutes he played and what he did and at
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: the times he did it when everybody knew he was
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: gonna do it, and he did it any damn way. Yeah, yo, yeah,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: you have to give him credit. Man. I just think, man,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: after he hit a shot with six seconds on the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: clock to tie the game, but he if his shoe
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: sides were like two shorter, they probably would have won
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: because it was the tip of his shoe on the line.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: If he wore twelve, if wal, if he wore a teneen,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: they would be the one. They'd be going to the final.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: They be going. Yeah. We also gotta say this many
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: congratulates to the Atlanta Hawks. Man. This is good for man.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Congratulations for the city Atlanta. Ben Simmons will not be
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: in Philadelphia next year. We know this for show. If
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: you don't know nothing, now, if I don't know nothing
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: else about it, you can't miss dead minute free throws. Well,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: they have to move. They have to give him out
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: of Philly because it's in his head space. He can't perform.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: And there are people who would take a Ben Simmons,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: but they got to move him because he's not doing
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: well there. He had all the talent, man, but he's
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: in his head he can't can't make a free throw.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: It's no way you should be a professional basketball player
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: at six eight and be thirty percent from the free
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: throw line. You might as well put me out there. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: just there. You made it. You made three points, remember, yeah,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I mean I'm I'm shot free throw line? Yeah at
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: sixty four. All right, junior, thank you guys. Coming up
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. What do you regret
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: not doing on your wedding day? We'll talk about it
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to morning show. All right, guys.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: So June we all know is a great, big, really
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: big wedding month and a lot of people are celebrating
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: their anniversaries. Steve, your anniversaries this mom, Tommy, you just
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: return from your anniversary trip. So the question for today
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: is what do you regret not doing on your wedding day?
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Who wants to go first? Jay I go first? Damn me?
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: You want to go. I go first. I regret not
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: doing it. We didn't do it to the next day.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: It didn't It didn't happen. It wasn't like in the
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: movies when you pick them up, carry them through the door,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: and it all happened. That they didn't go nothing like that.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: T got and then both fell asleep. Yeah. Too much,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you party too much. You just party too much. What
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I think the reception of where it was just overwhelming? Man, Wow,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: did you hear me say that? Did you hear my
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: w did you hit it? I don't know? Say it again?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: And that has an ache in it? Come on, I said,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: go ahead, come on? Who's what about you? I mean,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: what do I regret on my wedding? Answer to what?
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: What is it? I regret? Shoe in the hell up?
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Let me say that what you Let me just say this.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I have much respect for all the ladies out of marriage.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: It was me, Steve, will tell you how it was me.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: My daughter said at the wedding, she said, Daddy and
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I should have took the advice. She said, you ain't
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: got to do this. We can leave right now and
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: have a party. I should have just left right there
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: and just go with my daughter and just hang out.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: But I regret you when you're standing right there and
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: you're looking at the guy and you're saying to yourself,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: this ain't gonna this is not gonna. Know when i'm
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I can hear the voice in my head like I
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: know I shouldn't be here. I don't know why, brother,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna miss us up, and I did.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I just completely missed it up. So I regret showing
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: up in this marriage. I have absolutely none. We had
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: a great day, beautiful. It was in nowI one of
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: the best days turned out to be of my life,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: my second marriage. My deepest regret was staying quiet when
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: he said, is that anyone hear? You just called? Why
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: these two should not be joined? That? Me being quiet?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I was thinking about it. I just felt like I shouldn't.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I shouldn't be the one to say this. I was
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: waiting on somebody. I thought somebody, somebody, somebody would standing up.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Nobody did. And I regret staying quiet doing that. Particularly
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: more normally, if you asked me something, I got a
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: response for you right away. But he wasn't talking to
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: me exactly. He said, is that anyone? And I was
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: just looking around. Did you turn away? Yeah, I'm looking
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: over my shoulder. People thought I was joking. I was
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: really looking so crazy. He looked, making sure nobody say that. No,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I was looking at the hope. So just somebody in
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: your family, stand up, somebody. I'm just regretted not tasting
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: the food. I didn't get a chance. Yeah, dance a
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: little more party, you know. Surely I walked you down.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Yes you did, sir, you did. Thank you. I was
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: a grateful to you for that. But I say, how
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: much people don't believe in me getting married. A friend
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: of mine said, I invited her to my third wedding.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: She said, that's okay, I'll catch the next one. Your
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: friends know you will you do it again? Hey, till
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: the now, Jay, you say it's you? What is it
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: about you? Oh man, look at me. It's me. It's me.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: It's me, all right, nobody else. We'll have more of
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: some sad news out of the White House. President Biden's
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: oldest dog, Champ, remember Champ, Well, he's passed away. Now
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: the German shepherd was thirteen years old. Now yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Champ did yeah fighting, Champ's gone. Yeah, Champ were trying
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: to tell him so, and he attacked them to people.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Champn't feel good. Yeah, they released the state. Yeah, they
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: said they'll miss them always. They love their sweet good boy.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: As we all know, the Biden family has another dog, Major.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Remember Major, also a German Shepherd. He's just three years old,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: and he's the one Steve that had trouble adapting to
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the White House and bit two people in two separate incidents.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: That's the one Major took. Jump out. Major probably took him. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: look at Majors. Major did it? Major? You guys dog people.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: I knew you are. Carla jokes, uh huh, so we
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: sound like dog people. Carla is right now you had
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: dog see a dog person, Marjorie person. Oh, Marjorie's a
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: do I won't hurt it dog, But I'm not a
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: dog person. I won't do anything to a dough Oh no,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: oh no, I never heard of dog and I love
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: our dog. H But if we didn't have him, not
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: just followed me? All right? Today, all right, we'll have
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Time now for
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: tell me something good. Here's some good news. Yesterday was
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Father's Day, of course, and Steve, Steve, Steve, how busy
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: was your weekend? You hosted young men ages thirteen to
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: eighteen at the Harvey Foundation Virtual Mentoring Camp. It was
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: special guest Jeezy. You had a panel discussion called Past
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: the Pain with Tracy Martin, father of Treyvon Martin, Aubrey Wright,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: father of Dante Wright, and Michael Brown Senior, father of
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Michael Brown. How was it? Steve? First of all, let
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: me thank the three fathers for coming on to sharing
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: sharing their experience of how to get past the pain.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: It was very open and honest conversation. We had thirty
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: seven thou Olsen young men joining the Metal in this weekend,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: thirty seven thousand panel and sol We touched a lot
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: of boys lives virtually now, the getting past the Pain
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: was wanted, probably the most effective. I've done a lot
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: of great speeches with panelists boys, but I really appreciate it.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: The fathers of the Slaying Brothers, slaying young men, because
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: a lot of our young men have a lot of
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: anger with the police, and they had a lot of
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: questions of why they kill us, and and and they
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: had a lot of questions about moving past pain because
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: a lot of these boys are dealing with the absence
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: of their father, which is like a death to them.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: A lot of them are having issues because they've they've
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: lost loved ones themselves, and they needed real answers. And uh,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Tracy Martin and Michael Brown Senior and brother Dwight Aubrey
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: were very very insightful. I think the most important piece
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: of it was DeVante's Aubrey's father. He admitted that he
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: wasn't with none of us that because they can't even
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get an indictment bought down on the police that killed
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: his son. But then Trayvonn Martin's father had that meant
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: to him that he said, look, we didn't get no justice,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: even George Ziller, ne Walk and Michael Brown, there was
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: no indictment was bought against this man that killed his son.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: So I had some really really honest conversations with the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: three brothers. Man. We opened up until we talked about
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: a lot about this country, about the racism In it,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: we talked about what young men could do to protect themselves,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: and Tracy Martin most of the most elegant thing I've
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: ever seen about complying with the police, but then also
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: admitting at the same time that even in complying with
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the police, sometimes even that don't work. So the open
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: conversation that we had was really, really, really really tough. Man.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: It was tough. It was some. It was some tears
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: on the name cameras man with the boys, and so
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: I want I want to thank everybody that joined us
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: for that match. Coming up, it is our last break
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: of the day. It is the last break of the day.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I'll talk about Father's Day texts, play a show at
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour. We'll also have some
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only, our fearless leader,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Morning Show. Here we are, guys, our last break of
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the day on this Monday after Father's Day. It's been
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: a good day, Jay, what you got man? I have
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: something to say about these people, women especially who sent
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: out these lazy as group Father's Day texts. You can't
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: get in Damn lazier. Then to send fifty five day
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: is a text together, that's just straight laziness. I got
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: one text it was one hundred and seventy two damn dads,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Happy Father's Day. That is just damn lazy. Now if
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I sent out a box of cannon to fifty five
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: moms and say everybody to get a piece out to
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: day father, you'd be mad. Stop it. It needs to stop.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: You don't have time to send one individual happy Father's
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Day text? Seven thousand guys Happy Father's Day. That's lazy.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: But you're not better though, are you? Yeah? No, I'm mad.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I'm past better. I'm mad. You know, I got a
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: lot of I appreciate everybody wish you be a happy
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Father's Day. Have you ever gotten a text from somebody
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: who wish you Happy Father's Day? But you know they
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: ain't really mean it? Yeah, we got him yesterday. Yeah
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you know you know, man, I mean, look, if you
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: if you don't care about me, not really not no
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: time duty. You ain't heard from you? Now you it's
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: a holiday now you wanted them people that liked to
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: send out holiday wishes, don't send me the thing while
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: open up and balloons and all this come down, and
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: now I got to search to find out who the
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: heir you is. I didn't even put you as a
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: contact in my phone. I got to go back and
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: read your thread, man, and realize that I haven't responded
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: to this person in folk years and all for happy
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Father's Days. That's all. Ain't a married Christmas. They don't
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: even know my damn birthday. Wow, hand side, you ain't
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: sent one on the right hand side? Yeah, everything on
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: the left. So I did, though, I did what I did.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: If somebody sent me a real nice Father's Day text
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: or emoji, I sent it to other people because you
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: keep it good. Yeah, yeah, everybody, And I reected if
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: it was really nice, lad when that one? Yeah, I
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: sent out a good message man to fathers. This is
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the message that I sent. A brother sent it to me.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: To be honest with you, A brother sent it to me,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: and it was so good that I sent this out
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: to people on Father's Day, and it said we may
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: not get the material things that we bless our wives
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: and our mothers with on their special days, but we
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: received the pride that we have built a world where
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: our mothers and children have the ability to thrive because
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: we made all the sacrifices to ensure that they are
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: blessed beyond measure. This is our biggest gift on this
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to you, sir, salute. A
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: friend of mine sent that to me, and I sent
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: that to several fathers, and I thought there was a
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: real slick way, man, I was. I've talked to so
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: many fathers on Father's Day. Man, it's just so. It's great, man,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: how many men that I know and I around this
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: world that I see who actually take pride in being
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: a father. And even though, like the tech said, we
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: don't get all the gifts and the special attention that
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: mothers get. And I understand why we don't, because mothers
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: are really, really, really that special. I get it. I
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: get it, man. My mother was more special to me
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: than my father because I had to care for her
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: and protect her and honor her. And my father taught
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that to me. I was on the tech feed with
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: a couple of my boys I grew up with. We'd
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: have won twelve street boys. We've been friends for over
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: sixty years, and my boy says something to me, Man,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: he's never said before my partners said, and he's sixty
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: four years old. He said, I missed my dad, man,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: And that kind of touched me because, you know, of
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: all the texts we send out, you know, I've never
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: heard my dude say I missed my dad. And I said, wow, man,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I missed mine too. And we used to call each
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: other by our dad's name. My boys called me slick
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: because that was my dad's name. I called him rick
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Bill because that was his dad's name. I called mother
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: boy pal because that was his father's name. And we
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: were talking today, man, we we're old men, and all
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: of us was talking about how much we missed our father.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: And I said, wow, man, that the impact that these
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: men had on us still rings today. Man, And and
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and that was a cool feeling today, and and and
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: all we get sometime is men is just you know,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: the pride in the sense that we have because we
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: build a world for people. And that's probably the biggest
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: pride that I take, that I'm there for my children.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: And my son gave me a card today. I wish
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I had bought it over here to the studio so
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: I could read it. But it really touched me. Man.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: He meant a lot to me. My oldest son, he said, Man,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: just thanks for being that every time I call you.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: You ain't never not been there for me, He said,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the things I've watched you do and learned from you.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: And then at the end of the letter he said,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: thanks for me and my dad. He said, Steve Harvey,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the MFin one and only Steve Harvey, And that meant
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: a lot to me, Man, and my oldest son. You
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: know first of all that we can talk to each
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: other like this now, you know. But he understood because
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: I've said that to him. I said, Man, I'm the
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: one and only. And he told me, he said, Dad,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: they broke the mold with you. That ain't no more.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: He gave me a classic card card, he said, because
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you're a classic. They broke the old with you. And
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I appreciate that those words. So if you out there,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: man and you have a father, tell him something, tell
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: him something important like that, because that da will go
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: along way with him. And congratulation to all the fathers
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: out there, especially ones on this show, Jay and Tommy
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: that's been doing it for so long the right way. Man.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Tommy is a great father too, Man, he really is,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: and so is Jamie. So I appreciate being a part
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: of the clearing. Y'all have a great day, man, We'll
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: see y'all tomorrow. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase necessary,
