- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now all of us, first and foremost, it's been a long week, it's been a very, very long week
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't get to the office.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't get in here.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't get it started the way I wanted to.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I could not find the resources to get in here because I had to work.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: I had to get that money.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes a delay is not a denial.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: When God is leading your steps in order in your steps, you guys got to realize that certain time is for you to do certain things and those steps are presented to you in that fashion and you know when you suppose to go do something.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: So me being in the studio right now, even though I may have wanted to be here earlier,
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'll let you know, and he did, and now I'm here.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: So take off your shoes, relax your feet, put your feet up, get you something cold and refreshing.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're here for a little bit, and we got some things to talk about.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to know that some things to place,
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: three to four years ago that has just now hit the surface of the American people's eye.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it's because the hearing of the young African American boy out of South Carolina, Cyrus, Carmack was shot in the back.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: something that happens on the daily with American people or if you want to say black people of color of color people or African American people, we've been taking each other out.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: as well as of the nationalities has been erasing us or eradicating us off the face of the earth.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, we need to understand that this is not the first time, no the last time one of our children has been removed from this earth to soon.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: My condolences and my heart goes out to his mother and father and family because,
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: I can only imagine what it is to lose a loved one, especially a child that has not lived their life yet.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Could he have been doing other things, perhaps, could his parents could have been tighter
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll hold another place at another time, for sure.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: But this happened for a reason.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it might not be clear to us other than it's an example to show our children what not to do.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna focus on some points that I witnessed and seen in the video, also I'm gonna place them
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: video footage of the situation.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: As my guy will he rebuild on you to say it's not a pretty situation.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: But if we can relive this moment for a short bit, there's some errors that that child didn't take
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't aware.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't locked in and maybe he didn't understand.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not the blame.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's a child.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: But we have to realize as parents where we at in 2026, you can no longer sin your child to the store in 2026 by himself without him being properly structured prior.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to get into this.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to go with some things that I saw.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like that took place.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was racial profile and cleaning clear.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: It was racism, cleaning clear.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of different things that took place that was ignored by the young boy, because he didn't know no better.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: But anybody of age would have walked right back off their store because this is not right.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Even though we might have been the guidelines to getting into store or perhaps buying and purchasing at the store, he was already marked before he even started.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So this happened back in 2022.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to give you guys a little fellow.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is a young, like skin African American boy.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: Had on a red hoodie at the time with a bookbag and he walked into the shell station in South Carolina and Mr. Chow, Korean, Philippine, whatever you want to call them, I can care less.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: They all judge us the same way whether they want to admit it or not.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: They look at us only as a dollar and that's it because we are the ones that support them more than any other nationality.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is not my illusion.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is not my assumption.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is not something I'm guessing.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is a fact.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: We support them more than any other nationality.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: The kid went inside of the store and immediately the mother of the store missed a child's wife told him to take off his book back and place it in the designated area.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: The way she did it and how she homed in on him, if I was with my child, I would have left.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: That means he already thought he was a thief before he even came in the room.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not because of what she said, it's how she said it.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's how her eyes glued in on them that you got to see the video to see this.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: The body language displayed by the mother.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Allow me to understand that he was marked for death before he took a step inside of that store.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: And this is something that they don't teach you in school.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: This is something you learn being on the outskirts of life and everyday trials and tribulations or everyday experience and racial profile and in racism period, a father, a mother got to show him that.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: a brother uncle or aunt got to show him that he has to look at movies that demonstrate this so he can be aware of it or look at reading get itself aware of what's going on in this everyday life that he missed.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're around this culture so long and someone some type of normalcy of people doing that.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: After that he went to the freezer refrigerator area to get his
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: and not for long, the mother walked over there to him.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Step number two, that's foul.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: If I need help, I ask for help.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need you to come by me.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Those of us know what she's doing.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: But if you never experienced this, this is new to you.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: But surprisingly, some of the other critiques and issues were missed,
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it was missed based upon the prosecution and some other key pointers.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to demonstrate by just talking to you guys and understanding why I said, no justice, no peace.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: He was approached by the mother before leaving the store.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, I have no water on me, but he didn't take his hands out of his pocket.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: surprisingly he didn't do that because he could have killed some of that anger or momentum by just rubbing his hand against the hoodie in the front pockets letting them know that there's no water there but he said it clearly and perhaps they should have took his word for it because his bookbag was still at the door at the designated area.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: As the mother kept talking to him, this child's wife, he walked out calmly, but Mr. Child and his son ran after him aggressively.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want to say to you guys, I want you to understand something.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I know some of you are listening to me right now.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you're saying, how did you get ego and pride was hurt?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because the ego and pride was hurt, because the kid did everything you asked him to do.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't run out the store, didn't curse at you, didn't disrespect you, whatsoever.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: Calmly picked up his bag and walked out the store.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: as he walked around the corner of the store, he started running.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if we stop the cameras to take everything, if you know you ain't still nothing, if you ain't do nothing wrong, why are we running?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: It starts right there.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: You could have told them, you could search me again if you want to, but I ain't did nothing wrong.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: But when you run for no reason, you presume or present yourself a being guilty, because if you ain't doing nothing wrong, and you don't have nothing on you, you can stand there all day, and look, you can search me, I ain't got nothing, I didn't get nothing.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what I didn't see,
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: after the man started running is they said he was 130 yards away from the football away from the shell station, which is damn their football field away and the man shot him in the back.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Chow shot him in the back.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you look at that, that's not murder.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: You can't get a more murder because that's not murder.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I know the family could have been devastated for losing a child and they wanted him to punish with the highest prosecution charge available which is murder, but murder is what you can prove.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta, you gotta prove it.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: They did not, and wasn't successful, proven it was murder.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, they had a bigger thing they might have could approve was manslaughter.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: There was no reason for you to shoot that kid in the back.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: What he is, a honey y'all is away from you, running from you over a dollar water.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: and they probably could have got a great conviction if they would have used manslaughter.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: But they could not prove murder.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: What's so ever?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: But what happens is, and before it went to trial, I noticed happening, and then I'm gonna tell people this is the defense attorney and the accused sat down.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: They offered Mr. Chao a deal.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: And the only deal they offered Chao was manslaughter.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, not manslaughter, murder.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: And Chao said, I go to court, I go to trial.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doing no murder.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: But if they were to offer Chao manslaughter, he might have would have thought real long before.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: He went to trial on that, could it cut a goto more man's slaughter?
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: The videos is clear, great prosecution, everything was where it needed to be defense attorney, they tried, and they did an excellent job, but man's slaughtered they would have got him.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what happened, it's what you can prove.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what we've seen to fail to realize.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: And our hearts, we believe it's what it is, but it's what you can prove when you go in the court of law, and it wasn't murder.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now they said, this kid had a gun.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: They had a gun in court.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess he did have a gun.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: But the gun wasn't presented in the shell store.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't take the gun out to force any water.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: And they said he pointed gun at the father from a hundred feet away.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: So questionable, like I said, it's what you can prove.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is a sad occurrence coming from a father that came from a situation where my child was hit.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: He lived and he's okay, my son is doing great, but it took effect mentally on him physically on him.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: This is nothing easy.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I want you to understand that my condolences again go out to the family because this is not cool, man.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now civil lawsuits are still pending and they can
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying, for civil lawsuits, but I hear a lot of feedback from that nationality that the Koreans are Philippines, whatever, and they talk and reckless out their mouth.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's time, you know, it's so sad what happens and I don't think y'all understand how deep this is.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: We support them, we support them.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Koreans are in, we do it.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: Mutations, all the hair, nails, the weave, cleaning products, y'all buy it from them.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: They double price African American people on it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: So we can't have our own store with it.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: They make it cheaper for them.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: So they could be our middle man.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: And they treat us like crap.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: And we keep going right back there.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: Our people will be right back in there tomorrow to buy nails, weave, hair, nail polish, whatever it is, supply store, beauty supply store, to give that man money again.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Even though he didn't have that type of store, but you get what I'm saying.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: We got to stop supporting people that don't support us.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: One of the last time you went to a Chinese restaurant and seen a black man working there.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: How about in the DMV?
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Mr. Child Wings and all that, the mumbo sauce, all that fly shit.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: When the last time you seen a black man working inside of the establishment, I wait.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: When the last time a beauty supply had a black man working inside the establishment, a black woman.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: They don't support us.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: or when the last time you've seen them going to a black establishment and purchase something.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: I wait.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't happened.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to happen, but we continue to go and support nationalities who don't support us at all, but they're in our communities and we always are putting food on their table.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: why they take our kids, lives.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: All this is over, a bottle of water that caused Mr. Lee, Mr. Chow, probably 35 cents for the bottle, because he bought a case.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: So this kid life was lost.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: They said for a dollar, but I got you beat, probably 35 cents that water caused them.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: My new, he's a hundred, some are feet away.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all's away.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we even chasing them for a 35 cent water?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because it was the pride and ego that this kid actually got away from Mr. Child, his wife and his son, and they believed he took a water.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: After they did all the precautions to stop it from happening, they believed they were played.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: So they said, they're gonna make an example with this kid.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what they did.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: So sad thing.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted you guys to hear it from me.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't do it in a while.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't talk about it.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know, I'd be trying to just let y'all breathe on it a little bit, but it's real.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's real.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: They don't care.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Let's listen up.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: I got some for you, listen to.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: and good evening now we begin tonight with the latest in the Rick child murder trial last today marks three years since 14-year-old Cyrus Carmac Belton was shot and killed outside of Columbia gas station and today jurors heard hours of emotional testimony from witnesses while also seeing newly released body camera and stores surveillance video from the day of that shooting.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_09]: We want to show you one of those moments right now.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I want you to know that this happened on 528 23.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: I said it happened in 22.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: The video was 528 23 and I paused it and stopped it because I want you to understand that the mother missed the child's wife is looking at the kid's Cyrus up and down trying to figure out where did he put this bottle water, but as you could see in this video his
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Chuckie jerseys on, you know, and Chuckie hoodie and his hands are in both his pockets and his hoodie.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: But if the water is there, if he has no water, he can easily take his hands out his pocket.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's just simply patting self down and telling the look, it's nothing here.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Can I go?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Is it all right?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want no issues.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Especially over no damn water.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: That didn't happen, obviously, guys.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to the war, my body's up, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so I'm going to the war, so
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to pause it again because at this time, the kid is outside.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's running.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: He did go inside his back though.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like he went inside his back because I want to tell you something that's real key to understand.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Footage is clean.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: He could have just put his book back on his back and started hauling ass.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't do that.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't side his back first.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I believe he pulled out something.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: I could be wrong allegedly.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what he's running, his back is to them.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's not running toward them.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's running away from them over a dollar water.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: They grab the hat in this video, you see Cyrus wearing a red jacket telling Rick Chow's wife.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: He does not have any water in his pockets before picking up his backpack and walking out of the store.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: And shortly after, Cyrus would say, let me say this, if it wasn't water that he was holding in his hoodie, he could have went in backpack to put the water in a backpack.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Could have did that.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_09]: was chased by Rick Chow and his son, Andy, before the teenager was shot.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_05]: Erica J.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_05]: All day, testimony moved away from what happened in the street that night Cyrus Carmack Belt and was shot and moved back into the shell gas station that Rick Chow owns.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_05]: Now today, the after most of the afternoon was spent showing the jurors, the prosecution showing the jurors surveillance video from that shell gas station.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_05]: They also brought to the stand a new witness investigator, Team Adjordan.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_05]: Now, the state played surveillance footage showing Cyrus inside the store and questioned former investigator, Tamar, Tamar Jordan about the gas stations camera system.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_05]: Jordan testified Rick Chow's familiar with the surveillance equipment and prosecutors repeatedly asked whether those cameras could have been used to help identify Cyrus later rather than chasing him.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_07]: Do you feel confident, law enforcement?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_05]: also presented testimony from a firearms expert who said the bullet recovered in the case matched a glock 45.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_05]: Late in the day, the defense shifted its focus to Cyrus's possession of a firearm.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_05]: Showing jurors a social media photo taken the night before the shooting that showed him holding the same gun found at the scene.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_05]: The final witness of the day was a forensic pathologist who testified about the path of the bullet through Cyrus's body.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_05]: As attorneys continued to
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: See, they're going, they're focusing on, you know, positioning, the gun was the same gun he had at home.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: And all that's fine in Dandy.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: but they're not focusing on the manslaughter because they're trying to go for murder.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: The manslaughter comes in recklessness by Mr. Chow, running after him for a dollar, water.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't take your register.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: He took a 35 cent water.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_05]: And court has now wrapped for the day, the state is expected to rest tomorrow, and then it will be the defense's turn to bring witnesses to the stand.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_05]: At 11, I'll be bringing you a recap of all of today's testimony, stay tuned for that, and I'll be in the courtroom for the rest of this trial, bringing you the latest.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_05]: Live in Richland County, Kikigashu, News 19, WLTX.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_05]: All right, Kiki, thank you so much.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: News 19's Christy Calcagnos sat down when the attorney today to get a better understanding of what happened today.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Take a listen.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: talking about with this video in the convenience store.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: There were parts that we were able to hear everything, which was also really interesting.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: And then also kind of those close-up shots, also specifically showing the water bottles.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: A moment on that, kind of break that down for me.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we were able to see some kind of close-up shots.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: And like we said, all of this happening in the span of two minutes.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_06]: I think the video clearly shows he didn't still anything.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_06]: You see him go to the cooler and, you know, I counted, he took one, two, three, four, and then he kind of pauses and puts one, two, three, four back.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_06]: So then when he leaves, it kind of left me wondering, well, what was his purpose for going there to begin with?
- 28:12[SPEAKER_06]: Because he gets the water bottles, he knows he's being watched, right?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_06]: Because they tell him to put his backpack up.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_06]: And he complies with that, you know, he follows that rule, okay, fine.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_06]: So he puts the backpack where he's told to put his backpack.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_06]: But then he takes the four water bottles and puts them back, and then leaves the sword without taking anything.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think if I were a juror here, I would know, well, he did chocolate anything.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_06]: didn't take anything.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_06]: They're clearly from this video accusing him and they think he did.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_06]: They probably, in our minds that we're looking very intently counting, you know, those water bottles because we know this case and what the issues are.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, I would leave with several, you know, one, like clearly he didn't steal anything.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_06]: He didn't take anything.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_06]: They clearly thought he did.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_06]: But, too, so what was his purpose for being there?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the thing you don't get is that he might have all bad intentions going inside the store.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: He could have had all bad intentions going inside the store.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: However, the attention that gave them that wasn't good.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: He realized he couldn't get away with it.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he might have thought about it and worth his life to pull out a gun and try something too.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: So he decided to put it all back and walk away.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_06]: Why did he go there?
- 29:33[SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, in social media, I've seen some of the comments talk about it and people say, you know, waste and time I'll go into a store and just peruse around in window shop.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_06]: And I've done that too.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_06]: So maybe he was just walking around the neighborhood and, I mean, it's me, it's hot.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he had a hoodie on.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe just go in and get some air and wondering around.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_06]: But it is very hot.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_06]: It is either he took four water bottles out and then just put them right back.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you are interested in keeping up with this trial, we do have extensive coverage for you, including live streaming from inside the courtroom.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I want you to know guys that the trial is already over.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: And Mr. Chow was cleared of murder.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: He was cleared by the juries and nine of the juries of black.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: So they went by the evidence.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: I told you what you can prove.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: date they got him down as being innocent.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what happens when you go by this it's not what happens is what you can prove that happened.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he went in there with bad intentions because he brought a gun inside of a store for no reason.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: And it worked out
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: I said, the kid, and that's what's so sad, I want to move forward to what happened in Toledo, Ohio, this past weekend, in Toledo, Ohio, this past weekend, they had a community festival where 12 people were shot.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: two in critical condition and it's sad that again you can't go nowhere without things happening to you.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost you got to bring your gun everywhere in case things jump off and they try to get you for no reason.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: a nice community, a fair and 12 people are shot to critical, no one dead as of yet, but that was probably Saturday.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: So who knows what have happened since then?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: And between the ages of 14 and 61,
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: What can you do man?
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: You can't even go to a little outside function.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even July or August and ages, shoot them up bang bang every chance they get.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: We have to do better.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: We have to do better.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you know, but you crane launched.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: some drones.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about that now.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to check in on that and let you see what took place.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm Peter's bird.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the thing that happens when you don't sit down and talk, people get into these type of situations where this is continued
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I can't get it together.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody suffering from this.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_04]: Russian officials confirmed that Ukraine has launched a large scale attack on St. Petersburg, which is Russia's second largest city.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_04]: The AP says residents of St. Petersburg were told not to leave their homes because of the attack.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_04]: Russia's defense ministry said its air defense is shot down 376 Ukrainian drones.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_04]: reported three minor injuries.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_04]: This attack comes a day after Vladimir Putin refused an offer to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the New York Post with this saying that drone attack targeted St. Petersburg again after Putin rejected.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_04]: the offer for the direct talks.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's bring in Al Camp for once again.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for standing by Hal St. Petersburg.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: That's where Vladimir, that's where Putin is from.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_04]: Why is Ukraine targeting the second largest city in Russia?
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: Well, first off is right because of what you said that this is was where Putin comes from, you know, he was the mayor of St. Petersburg at one time, obviously it's crucial, it's tradition.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you go back historically, this is their big European city, this was the city that is on the coast.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: close to other European countries, you know, it's on the Baltic.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: So that is, that is obviously a very important city.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_03]: And it's considered more of a European type of city.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a very high profile whenever it's permanent.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_03]: So that's one of the reasons why they've been hitting Moscow as well.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_03]: The Ukrainian successfully hit it earlier in the week hitting an oil facility at the port and also hitting a ship, causing huge plumes of smoke and then of course this thing kind of punctuating the end of that event, which was this massive hit which caused everybody to be ordered to stay inside and this brings the war home.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_03]: to Russians.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_03]: The two big cities in Russia, this is the, you know, the Russian elite, the two big cities where they live are Moscow and St. Petersburg.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_03]: And Russia and Putin have been trying very hard to basically hide the war from everyday Russians, particularly in these two major
- 35:18[SPEAKER_03]: And that has become impossible because Ukrainian drones and missiles but particularly the drones are getting through and their causing significant damage in the cities and they're bringing the war home to everyday Russians and ways they have before and this falls on the hill.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: So they're saying now that they cannot afford the war, Putin's people are saying, you know, you're gonna have your last who are.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: Because this is it.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's they've got huge economic problems, and the Russian elites are reportedly kind of pulling back support from Putin, nobody's predicting a coup anytime soon, but all the stages are set for Putin really losing his his position is legitimacy, if you will, as a leader of Russia.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_03]: This is very significant.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_03]: The timing is very auspicious.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I, and I am truly skeptical of any Russian claim I shouldn't down drones.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, based on that, they, I think they shot down more drones and Ukraine said they've sent.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously those drones got through.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't hit the things they hit.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_03]: If there, if a lot of those drones are getting through.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: So makes a big statement and says a lot about that.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_03]: Knowing full well that Putin would probably not meet and then Putin City would not meet and frankly Putin looks very weak on the roll stage because of that So I wanted to give you out of that.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to shed it with you.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's not much, but I want to draw to understand That we might have some type of closure because they're saying financially Putin can't afford to have this war anymore
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: The exhaust and all resources out there in Russia for this war.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: In closure, in my conclusion, they say what happened to Cyrus and um.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we can only teach our kids from these type of things and build up our kids to have awareness and that's why I did, I started this podcast because it gives out awareness, racial profiling, racism, it's all demonstrated inside this, that happened with Cyrus and we as people have to understand, we had to teach our kids.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, you can blame the parents.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can blame the store owners.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: But hopefully, in time, we can learn from this.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: With Russia, maybe this is what the world needs.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: Some type of closure over there.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it can start some type of movement of power of motion to get things back to some type of normalcy.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm your host, your main equipment, this is a man of the own plug.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: We thank you guys for focusing in on us, 38 minutes.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is a long one, but it's good.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: Love you guys, I see you on a few.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: Peace.
