- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It is right now one oh seven am Eastern Center time.
- 0:08Speaker 2: That means it is eight o six am right now
- 0:11Speaker 2: in Tel Aviv in Israel, and the hostages that are
- 0:15Speaker 2: being held in Gaza are set to be released. We
- 0:17Speaker 2: are hoping that's going to happen at any moment, and
- 0:21Speaker 2: very well could happen as we are taping this in
- 0:23Speaker 2: the wee hours of the morning. Senator, I want to
- 0:26Speaker 2: get your reaction just to this and what all we're
- 0:29Speaker 2: going to be talking about today.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Well, it is an historic day. Although I will have
- 0:33Speaker 3: to note, man, I am impressed that somehow Jerusalem has
- 0:36Speaker 3: managed to go back in time that it is one
- 0:38Speaker 3: oh seven am in the East coast of America, but
- 0:41Speaker 3: it is only eight oh six am in Jerusalem, so
- 0:44Speaker 3: they're somehow a minute ahead of us. That that uh, look,
- 0:47Speaker 3: look is talking. I think that's appropriate. So so I appreciate,
- 0:55Speaker 3: like a fine Swiss watch, you have a cute appreciation time.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm just looking at the screens here.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I got you. Look. Peace in the Middle East is
- 1:07Speaker 3: a big damn deal now as we're sitting here right now,
- 1:11Speaker 3: we're holding our breaths because the peace deal has been announced.
- 1:16Speaker 3: If this follows through, if Hamas releases the hostages, it
- 1:21Speaker 3: will be historic. At the moment, we don't know if
- 1:25Speaker 3: they're going to follow through. They said they're going to
- 1:27Speaker 3: follow through, but Hamas is not exactly the most trustworthy
- 1:32Speaker 3: of deal makers. They've broken deals over and over and
- 1:36Speaker 3: over again. Terrorists have a bad habit of doing that.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So we are waiting, we are hoping, we are praying.
- 1:42Speaker 3: What's interesting about this podcast is by the time you're
- 1:45Speaker 3: listening to it, you're going to know. And so we
- 1:49Speaker 3: very much hope the hostages are released. The agreement that
- 1:52Speaker 3: President Trump negotiated was an agreement to release all the hostages,
- 1:57Speaker 3: both the living hostages and the remains of those who
- 2:01Speaker 3: have been killed. And there are a number who've been killed.
- 2:03Speaker 3: They're holding onto the remains. Obviously the families would like
- 2:06Speaker 3: to bury the dead.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And in exchange, Israel has agreed to a complete and
- 2:12Speaker 3: immediate ceasefire. That is historic. It is such a big
- 2:18Speaker 3: deal that President Trump is flying to the Middle East
- 2:21Speaker 3: to be there to welcome the hostages to their release.
- 2:26Speaker 3: And I will say this is a day of great
- 2:30Speaker 3: celebration if if Hamas follows through on the terms of
- 2:34Speaker 3: the deal.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, by the way, right now, the hostage release process
- 2:39Speaker 2: is beginning. We are witnessing in Gaza City the Red
- 2:42Speaker 2: Cross vehicles are leaving the compound there and so we
- 2:46Speaker 2: are doing this, like I said, at am here one
- 2:50Speaker 2: am Eastern, one ten am. And this is what we're
- 2:52Speaker 2: watching as we're seeing this happening. But the first process,
- 2:56Speaker 2: they're saying coming from the AP right now, has a
- 2:58Speaker 2: release process is beginning and going as plan. That certainly
- 3:02Speaker 2: is a great sign as we're recording this right now.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Amen, those hostages have have been in living hell for
- 3:10Speaker 3: two years now, uh, and it is time for them
- 3:13Speaker 3: to be released and and and hopefully within minutes, uh,
- 3:17Speaker 3: they will be They will be back with their families.
- 3:19Speaker 3: I will tell you, in the last two years, I
- 3:21Speaker 3: have met with many of the families of the hostages
- 3:24Speaker 3: that that when they've come to Washington, they've come by
- 3:26Speaker 3: my office. They've shown me pictures of their loved ones,
- 3:29Speaker 3: of their sons, of their daughters, of their sisters, of
- 3:31Speaker 3: their moms and their dads, and it's heartbreaking. I've I've
- 3:35Speaker 3: met with with family members of those who were killed
- 3:38Speaker 3: killed on October seventh, and and seen just just the
- 3:42Speaker 3: horrific atrocities that Hamas carried out on that day, and
- 3:46Speaker 3: and and this is a time I think really to
- 3:49Speaker 3: commend President Trump. And and and by the way, it's
- 3:53Speaker 3: not just me saying that, you want to see how
- 3:56Speaker 3: extraordinary it is. Hillary Clinton has praised Donald Trump for
- 4:02Speaker 3: this peace agreement. I want you to give a listen
- 4:03Speaker 3: to what Hillary Clinton had to say about Donald J.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Trump.
- 4:08Speaker 6: It's a really significant first step. And I really commend
- 4:15Speaker 6: President Trump and his administration as well as Arab leaders
- 4:20Speaker 6: in the region for making the commitment to the twenty
- 4:25Speaker 6: point plan and seeing a path forward for what's often
- 4:31Speaker 6: called the day After. Most importantly, the conflict hopefully will
- 4:38Speaker 6: end with the ceasefire, the hostages will be returned, and
- 4:42Speaker 6: then the very hard work of rebuilding Gaza, of finding
- 4:48Speaker 6: the kind of security that Israel and the Palestinians after
- 4:52Speaker 6: Hamas deserved to have. Moving forward with the other points
- 4:57Speaker 6: in the plan, to try to create and an opportunity
- 5:01Speaker 6: for Palestinians to have a better life and for Israel
- 5:04Speaker 6: to have greater peace and security. I am very hopeful
- 5:10Speaker 6: that we'll be able to see progress. Today's a good start,
- 5:14Speaker 6: but we have to keep going from here.
- 5:17Speaker 2: You listen to Hillary Clinton, they're saying that center and
- 5:20Speaker 2: this goes back to I think what the world is
- 5:23Speaker 2: admitting right now. This was something that never had a
- 5:26Speaker 2: chance of happening under the Biden regime, their administration.
- 5:31Speaker 1: They weren't even close to this.
- 5:32Speaker 2: What President Trump has been able to do, bringing people together,
- 5:36Speaker 2: bringing the Arab world together, being able to iron out
- 5:39Speaker 2: the points.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Of this deal. I truly believe this.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I think he's probably the only guy in the world
- 5:44Speaker 2: that could have pulled this off the way he did
- 5:45Speaker 2: as quickly as he did.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I look undoubtedly, and I'll say a sentence I've never
- 5:50Speaker 3: before said in my life, Bravo Hillary Clinton.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Like, I will give her credit for commending Donald Trump.
- 5:58Speaker 3: She must have saying those words. It was the right
- 6:03Speaker 3: thing to do. And I want to draw a contrast
- 6:06Speaker 3: because Hillary Clinton acknowledged the obvious that this is historic,
- 6:11Speaker 3: this is a massive step forward. And I want to
- 6:15Speaker 3: contrast it to Barack Obama because Barack Obama put out
- 6:20Speaker 3: a statement after two years of unimaginable loss and suffering
- 6:24Speaker 3: for Israeli families and the people of Gaza. We should
- 6:27Speaker 3: all be encouraged and relieved that an end of the
- 6:29Speaker 3: conflict is within sight, that those hostages still being held
- 6:33Speaker 3: will be reunited with their families, and that vital aid
- 6:36Speaker 3: can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered.
- 6:41Speaker 3: More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians,
- 6:45Speaker 3: with the support of the US and the entire world community,
- 6:48Speaker 3: to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza and to
- 6:51Speaker 3: commit to a process that, by recognizing the common humanity
- 6:55Speaker 3: and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve lasting peace. Ben,
- 7:01Speaker 3: do you know what word is is nowhere in Barack
- 7:03Speaker 3: Obama's statement?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, the President of United States of America, Donald Trump.
- 7:08Speaker 3: The guy who negotiated the deal, the guy without whom
- 7:11Speaker 3: there would be no such deal. And by the way,
- 7:12Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton was Barack Obama's secretary of State. So Hillary
- 7:16Speaker 3: Clinton is demonstrating some class and Obama this is one
- 7:21Speaker 3: of the most classless statements I have ever seen, because
- 7:27Speaker 3: Obama cannot acknowledge that Trump accomplished something, and accomplished something
- 7:33Speaker 3: really powerful and meaningful and is a major step towards peace.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And those are words I think Barack Obama is utterly
- 7:41Speaker 3: unwilling to say.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You also got to listen, and I want to play this.
- 7:45Speaker 2: This is net Yahoo talking as well about this deal
- 7:48Speaker 2: getting done with wit Coffin and Jered Chrishna, the son
- 7:51Speaker 2: in law of the President Donald Trump, and getting this
- 7:55Speaker 2: deal done. They put together a statement and I want
- 7:57Speaker 2: to play that for everybody. Is again it's now being
- 8:00Speaker 2: reported by virtually all the major news networks that the
- 8:03Speaker 2: hostage release process has begun and is moving its way
- 8:07Speaker 2: the way it's supposed to be choreographed.
- 8:09Speaker 1: That is good news.
- 8:11Speaker 2: We are seeing in Gaza now that there are multiple
- 8:13Speaker 2: Red Cross vehicles that have moved into the area where
- 8:16Speaker 2: they're going to do the handoff of these hostages. We're
- 8:18Speaker 2: going to keep you update on that obviously as it's
- 8:20Speaker 2: happening as we're recording this, but I want you to
- 8:22Speaker 2: hear what Netanyahu had to say as well, and those
- 8:25Speaker 2: in Whiskoff as well, and Jared Kushner take a listen.
- 8:28Speaker 4: We're at a amendous development in the last two years.
- 8:34Speaker 4: We've fought doing these two years to that achieve of
- 8:37Speaker 4: warreams in the Central One of these warreams is to
- 8:40Speaker 4: return the osages all of the osages the living and
- 8:44Speaker 4: the day, and we're about to achieve that group. We
- 8:48Speaker 4: couldn't live achieve without the extraordinary help President Crump's team,
- 8:55Speaker 4: Steve Whitkof and Jared Kushner. They worked tirelessly with Ron
- 9:00Speaker 4: and this team, our team UH and UH. That and
- 9:05Speaker 4: the courage of our soldiers who UH entered Gaza, and
- 9:09Speaker 4: the combined military and diplomatic pressure that isolated the coloss
- 9:15Speaker 4: I think as parties to this point, I wanna personally
- 9:18Speaker 4: thank both of you, Steve Jareded UH spend long hours
- 9:32Speaker 4: you have around the clock, but not only worked. I
- 9:34Speaker 4: I think you you put in your UH, your brains
- 9:40Speaker 4: and your hearts, and we know that it's UH for
- 9:45Speaker 4: the benefit of Israel and the United States, or the
- 9:47Speaker 4: benefit of UH decent people living there, and for the
- 9:50Speaker 4: benefit of these families who will finally get to be
- 9:52Speaker 4: with our mothers. And I wanna thank you on their
- 9:55Speaker 4: behalf as well, but un behalfy for people who's at
- 9:58Speaker 4: you without a mon.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Obviously, bringing the hostages his home is a It's been
- 10:06Speaker 5: a priority for President Trump for a very very long time,
- 10:09Speaker 5: and we've all worked very tirelessly to do that. But
- 10:13Speaker 5: I really want to say that this all would not
- 10:15Speaker 5: have been possible without the bravery of the IDF and
- 10:19Speaker 5: the soldiers. What they've accomplished not just in Gaza, but
- 10:22Speaker 5: also what they've done in the theater over the last
- 10:25Speaker 5: couple of years to eliminate as belond the North and
- 10:29Speaker 5: really degrade them. What you were able to do in
- 10:31Speaker 5: Iran and really helps.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Set a big tone.
- 10:33Speaker 5: But particularly seeing the way that your citizen army, I
- 10:36Speaker 5: know a lot of you, probably all of you have
- 10:38Speaker 5: family friends who are in this effort. Really, you know,
- 10:41Speaker 5: put your sacrifices on the line to fight for your
- 10:44Speaker 5: country and to try and try to make a difference.
- 10:47Speaker 5: I think that made a very very big difference in there.
- 10:50Speaker 6: And I want.
- 10:50Speaker 5: To just give a very very special thanks to Prime
- 10:54Speaker 5: Minister Natanyahu who really did an incredible job with this
- 10:58Speaker 5: and did a great job to negotiations. You held your
- 11:02Speaker 5: lines firm, and I think that between you and President
- 11:04Speaker 5: Trump you had a lot of alignment on what the
- 11:07Speaker 5: end state should be.
- 11:08Speaker 7: The hard job was the Prime minister's. He had the
- 11:11Speaker 7: job of protecting this country. He had the job of
- 11:14Speaker 7: making tough choices with regard to how tough to be
- 11:18Speaker 7: with hamas, when to be flexible, when not to be flexible.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I think to myself all the time, I lost sleepover it.
- 11:27Speaker 7: What would I have done in some of those circumstances.
- 11:30Speaker 7: There were times that I thought we should be more flexible,
- 11:34Speaker 7: your country should be more flexible. But the truth is,
- 11:37Speaker 7: as I look back, I don't think we get to
- 11:39Speaker 7: this place without Prime Minister Netnyaghu playing it.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I'm not just.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Saying that they're not just words. The President believes that.
- 11:52Speaker 7: My president believes that. He believes that Prime Minister Netanyahu.
- 11:57Speaker 8: Made some very very difficult calls, and lesser people would
- 12:02Speaker 8: not have made those calls. And here we are today
- 12:04Speaker 8: because Amas had to, They had to do this deal.
- 12:09Speaker 7: The pressure was on them. They were backed up, and
- 12:13Speaker 7: you've got the bigger army you were making in rows,
- 12:16Speaker 7: and that's what led to this deal.
- 12:19Speaker 2: You can hear Whiskov. They were saying, that's what led
- 12:21Speaker 2: to this deal. And look, this was all about the
- 12:23Speaker 2: presidential leadership and the President Unit States America leading in
- 12:26Speaker 2: a way that no one else could.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Well. And the contrast is really night and day to
- 12:32Speaker 3: the previous administration. You know, you mentioned a minute ago
- 12:35Speaker 3: you said that President Trump achieved something that Joe Biden
- 12:39Speaker 3: could not have done. Well, I'll tell you someone who
- 12:41Speaker 3: disagrees with that is Tony Blincoln. And Tony Blinkn, of course,
- 12:44Speaker 3: was Biden's Secretary of State, and he put out a
- 12:47Speaker 3: long Twitter statement on this, and here's where he said critically.
- 12:52Speaker 3: He says, it starts with a clear and comprehensive post
- 12:55Speaker 3: conflict plan for Gaza. It's good that President Trump adopts
- 13:00Speaker 3: did and built on the plan the Biden administration developed
- 13:04Speaker 3: after months of discussion with Arab partners, Israel and the
- 13:07Speaker 3: Palestinian authority. Like what nonsense? It literally is Tony Blinken saying, well,
- 13:13Speaker 3: this this Trump peace deal, it's really the Biden peace deal.
- 13:18Speaker 3: And that's utter nonsense because Biden spent four years demonstrating
- 13:24Speaker 3: weakness and appeasement to our enemies. That weakness and appeasement,
- 13:29Speaker 3: I believe, is why October seventh happened. The one hundred
- 13:32Speaker 3: billion dollars that Joe Biden, with Tony Blinkn being a
- 13:35Speaker 3: very active part of that, flowed one hundred billion dollars
- 13:39Speaker 3: to the Ayatola Kameenee in Iran. He provides ninety percent
- 13:44Speaker 3: of the funding ninety percent of the funding to Hamas, Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 3: and ninety percent of the funding for Hesbalus. In a
- 13:50Speaker 3: very real sense, Joe Biden and Tony Blincoln and Kamala
- 13:55Speaker 3: Harris and the entire Biden administration funded the October seven
- 14:00Speaker 3: desk squads. Because the one hundred billion dollars they sent
- 14:03Speaker 3: to Iran and they allowed to flow to Iran, much
- 14:07Speaker 3: of that ended up directly in the hands of Hamas
- 14:09Speaker 3: and Hezbola carrying out those mass murders. And so that
- 14:13Speaker 3: the idiocy to say, well, gosh, all Trump did was
- 14:17Speaker 3: implement the Biden plan. It is gibberish. And look the
- 14:20Speaker 3: person who refuted that most directly was Hillary Clinton, where
- 14:24Speaker 3: she gave credit. And look, we don't have this peace
- 14:26Speaker 3: agreement without Trump's strength. Let me tell you, this peace
- 14:31Speaker 3: agreement doesn't happen, I believe without President Trump ordering the
- 14:36Speaker 3: bombing attack on Iran and taking out Iran's nuclear facilities,
- 14:40Speaker 3: nuclear facilities where they were working to develop nuclear weapons
- 14:44Speaker 3: to target the United States and to target our allies.
- 14:46Speaker 3: And that act of strength, combined with Israel's Twelve Day
- 14:51Speaker 3: War where they decimated the Iranian military air defenses, the
- 14:56Speaker 3: senior leadership the IRGC leadership. All of that look Hamas,
- 15:01Speaker 3: Iran is Hamas's patron, and Iran is in a much
- 15:06Speaker 3: much weakened position because of President Trump's strength. That is
- 15:12Speaker 3: a major major reason this deal was reached today, and
- 15:15Speaker 3: this deal we are both hoping, we are praying that
- 15:20Speaker 3: Hamas follows through and that within hours all of the
- 15:23Speaker 3: hostages are released. If that happens, this will be an
- 15:26Speaker 3: historic day, a day to celebrate, and a day to
- 15:29Speaker 3: say thank God for President Donald J. Trump.
- 15:32Speaker 2: So, over the last several weeks, you've heard me talk
- 15:34Speaker 2: with Josh Cherrard from Burnham. He's been telling stories of
- 15:38Speaker 2: how people just like you have used their burna launcher
- 15:41Speaker 2: to protect themselves and their families. Now, burn is a
- 15:45Speaker 2: handheld pistol that fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants
- 15:50Speaker 2: to separate you from an attacker, and it can be
- 15:53Speaker 2: life saving. Josh is back with you today to tell
- 15:56Speaker 2: another story about how a former professional race car saved
- 16:00Speaker 2: his family from an attack outside the garage of their
- 16:04Speaker 2: own home. Josh, tell me about this.
- 16:06Speaker 9: Yeah, it just happened actually not too long ago in
- 16:09Speaker 9: Santa Monica, just two blocks from the beach. So former
- 16:12Speaker 9: pro race car driver Court Wagner was pulling into his
- 16:15Speaker 9: garage with his family in the car when he was
- 16:17Speaker 9: confronted by a man hiding in the alley. After trying
- 16:21Speaker 9: to talk to him into leaving, it was obviously not
- 16:23Speaker 9: going to work. The man lunged at Court with a
- 16:25Speaker 9: sharp object, trying to attack him, with his wife and
- 16:28Speaker 9: child only steps away. He grabbed his burnal launcher that
- 16:31Speaker 9: he kept in the glove box of his car and
- 16:33Speaker 9: fired five round, striking the attackers several times. The suspect
- 16:37Speaker 9: fled immediately. It worked, and Court called the police and
- 16:40Speaker 9: gave him the description of the assailant. And now police
- 16:42Speaker 9: were able to look at someone that somewhat matched a
- 16:44Speaker 9: description in the area, not quite exactly. And it wasn't
- 16:47Speaker 9: until officers lifted the suspect shirt and saw the multiple
- 16:51Speaker 9: welts from the burner launder that they knew they had
- 16:54Speaker 9: the right guy and subsequently arrested him.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It really is incredible.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And I get this question now often when I'm out,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and that is okay. Tell me about how a launcher works,
- 17:04Speaker 2: and they worry about or they wonder about the stopping
- 17:06Speaker 2: power of less lethal weapons.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I've used it. It's amazing.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I have it in all of my cars right now
- 17:13Speaker 2: because I want to have this option.
- 17:15Speaker 9: Yeah. Absolutely, you know, the stopping power is great, no
- 17:18Speaker 9: matter if you're using our kinetic rounds or even the
- 17:20Speaker 9: chemical agent rounds that obviously have the gas in them,
- 17:23Speaker 9: the tear gas, the pepper spray that's going to incapacitate them.
- 17:26Speaker 9: This is a great case of how some resistance, enough
- 17:29Speaker 9: resistance obviously to cause these wealth immediately stop the situation
- 17:33Speaker 9: and was able to provide that safety for Court and
- 17:36Speaker 9: his family.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It really is incredible.
- 17:38Speaker 2: If you want more information on what I carry and
- 17:41Speaker 2: how you and your family members can protect themselves. Or
- 17:44Speaker 2: they burn a launcher, whether it is for a daughter
- 17:47Speaker 2: or for a family member or a grandparent, go to
- 17:49Speaker 2: burna B. Why are in a dot com? That's burnap B?
- 17:54Speaker 2: Why r in a dot com?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Again? Burna dot com? Right now?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Let's go back to something, and I do think one
- 18:02Speaker 2: of the very interesting historic moments as we go back
- 18:05Speaker 2: and look at this weeks and years and months from now,
- 18:09Speaker 2: is going to be Donald Trump not flinching on going
- 18:13Speaker 2: after the Iran nuclear sites. When you look at that
- 18:16Speaker 2: moment and you see how quickly we now got to
- 18:19Speaker 2: where we are when it comes to this deal being done.
- 18:23Speaker 2: How much of the psyche you think of Hamas and
- 18:27Speaker 2: realizing what they were dealing with with President Trump changed
- 18:31Speaker 2: after he actually went after those nuclear sites.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I think it was fundamental. And this is where the
- 18:38Speaker 3: appeasement crowd gets it wrong. They think that being weak
- 18:42Speaker 3: to our enemies avoids war. That they'll say all the
- 18:46Speaker 3: time quite piously, oh we hate war. And this is
- 18:50Speaker 3: true of left wing Democrats. But I'll tell you within
- 18:53Speaker 3: the Trump administration, there was a major debate about whether
- 18:56Speaker 3: to launch that bombing run on Iran, and there were
- 19:00Speaker 3: major voices that were vocal saying, do not launch that
- 19:03Speaker 3: bombing raid. I was urging the president take out those
- 19:07Speaker 3: nuclear facilities. It makes America safer. And I think that
- 19:10Speaker 3: decision it's the single most important national security decision President
- 19:15Speaker 3: Trump has made this second term. And that decision demonstrated
- 19:19Speaker 3: number one, it weakened Iran, which is Hamas's patron and funder.
- 19:23Speaker 3: But number two, it demonstrates to to Hamas, Okay, this
- 19:27Speaker 3: President's not going to flinch. He's not going to give in.
- 19:29Speaker 3: He's not weak, he's not going to roll over. Uh
- 19:33Speaker 3: When when when we when we try to roar, and
- 19:37Speaker 3: I think without that, you don't have a peace deal
- 19:40Speaker 3: as long as they believe. Look, Joe Biden, what was
- 19:42Speaker 3: he doing. He was freezing weapons to Israel, blocking the
- 19:47Speaker 3: idf F and getting weapons. And and I'll tell you
- 19:49Speaker 3: what that did. That encouraged Tamas, that said, Okay, great,
- 19:52Speaker 3: we've got a friend. We've got a friend in the
- 19:56Speaker 3: White House. And and and by the way, you and I.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Talked about harder on Israel. We talked about this.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Joe Biden was harder on Israel many days than he
- 20:02Speaker 2: was on hamasteris.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Well, you'll recall the podcast we did several months ago,
- 20:07Speaker 3: and it was right after I sat down and spent
- 20:09Speaker 3: about two hours with Prime Minister Nen Yahoo when he
- 20:11Speaker 3: was in Washington, d C. And one of the things
- 20:16Speaker 3: he told me in that meeting is that when they
- 20:19Speaker 3: launched the pager attack on Hesbela, you remember that it's
- 20:22Speaker 3: one of the most incredible military and intelligence actions.
- 20:26Speaker 2: By the way, I still can't wait for the movie
- 20:27Speaker 2: to come out. Can we all agree on that.
- 20:29Speaker 1: It's going to be unbelievable.
- 20:30Speaker 3: It would make an incredible movie. And actually, if you
- 20:33Speaker 3: had written that that is a movie script it would
- 20:36Speaker 3: be rejected as a movie script. People would say this
- 20:38Speaker 3: is too fantastical, There's no way this would happen. This
- 20:41Speaker 3: is a bad Jason Bourne movie. It's just not realistic.
- 20:45Speaker 3: And you look at what Israel did years earlier, creating
- 20:49Speaker 3: a shell company in Hong Kong making the pagers, selling
- 20:52Speaker 3: them to Hesbela. Hesbela sends them to the terrorists. But
- 20:55Speaker 3: one of the things, one of the things you and
- 20:57Speaker 3: I talked about on this podcast is the government of
- 21:01Speaker 3: Israel when they decided, okay, we're going to detonate those
- 21:03Speaker 3: pages and take out the Hesbela terrorists, they did not
- 21:07Speaker 3: tell the Biden White House.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 21:09Speaker 3: And the reason they didn't tell the Biden White House
- 21:12Speaker 3: is they were afraid if they told the Biden White House,
- 21:14Speaker 3: they'd pick up the phone and warn Hesbela. Yeah that says,
- 21:19Speaker 3: you know what, you don't get peace when the American president,
- 21:24Speaker 3: when the American White House is going to warn the terrorists, Hey,
- 21:28Speaker 3: your your pagers are going to be about to blow up.
- 21:31Speaker 3: So they notified the Biden White House as they were
- 21:34Speaker 3: detonating the pagers. Hey, by the way, we just blew
- 21:36Speaker 3: up about your Hesbela terrorists. And that President Trump saying
- 21:41Speaker 3: we stand with Israel period the end is a major,
- 21:45Speaker 3: major reason we get to this moment to celebrate the
- 21:48Speaker 3: peace deal, to celebrate the ceasefire, but to do so
- 21:51Speaker 3: from a position of strength.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Let's talk about there's been a lot of criticism of
- 21:56Speaker 2: the exchange for these these terrorists, prisoners, murderers that Israel
- 22:01Speaker 2: is going to release, and saying that was a capitulation
- 22:05Speaker 2: and a bad decision by Israel. I understand that Israel
- 22:10Speaker 2: did not want to do this, but they also understood
- 22:12Speaker 2: that to get this deal done, there had to be
- 22:14Speaker 2: some movement here. I want to get your take and
- 22:16Speaker 2: your thoughts and that for people they're just wanting to
- 22:18Speaker 2: criticize this deal and try to find something wrong with it.
- 22:20Speaker 2: There's a perfect case scenario and then there's reality. This
- 22:24Speaker 2: was part of the reality to get this done. To
- 22:26Speaker 2: say the twenty that we believe are still alive at
- 22:28Speaker 2: this moment.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Look, negotiations for the release of hostages are always difficult.
- 22:34Speaker 3: They raise incredibly challenging issues and questions. I've spent a
- 22:39Speaker 3: long time in the Senate. I've made it a real
- 22:42Speaker 3: passion of mine to fight for Americans who are detained
- 22:44Speaker 3: abroad and to fight for people like Mark Swedan. Mark
- 22:47Speaker 3: Sweden was a Texan.
- 22:49Speaker 1: By the way, I want to interrupt you.
- 22:51Speaker 2: We're just getting word now Hamas has officially just handed
- 22:54Speaker 2: over the hostages to the Red Cross. That is coming
- 22:59Speaker 2: from Moulti News agencies that Hamas hands over the hostage
- 23:03Speaker 2: to the Red Cross. Apparently it has officially just happened,
- 23:06Speaker 2: as we're recording this at one twenty eight am Eastern
- 23:10Speaker 2: Standard time in the morning.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Well, that that is phenomenal, that is great news. We
- 23:17Speaker 3: should all say a prayer and thank God that this
- 23:23Speaker 3: is an important and historic day. And and you know
- 23:26Speaker 3: what I was saying a minute ago that you were
- 23:27Speaker 3: asking about in any hostage negotiation, that there are often
- 23:32Speaker 3: difficult trade offs and they're agonizing trade offs. And I've tried.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Mark Swadana, as I mentioned, was wrongfully imprisoned in communist
- 23:40Speaker 3: China for more than a decade, and I repeatedly pressed
- 23:43Speaker 3: the Chinese communist government, pressed the Biden administration, and we
- 23:47Speaker 3: finally got him released and he's back with his mom
- 23:49Speaker 3: in Texas. And that that's a phenomenal thing. But those
- 23:55Speaker 3: trade offs are difficult, and so I'm not gonna second
- 23:58Speaker 3: guess that decisions President Trump made and Prime Minister net
- 24:03Speaker 3: and Yahoo made in terms of the specific negotiations to
- 24:07Speaker 3: get the hostages released. Hamas remains incredibly dangerous. They are terrorists.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Their objective is to murder as many Israelis as they can.
- 24:20Speaker 3: But today's a victory. It's a victory for peace, it's
- 24:23Speaker 3: a victory for Israel, it's a victory for President Trump,
- 24:26Speaker 3: and on all of that is really good.
- 24:30Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on President Trump traveling to Israel
- 24:33Speaker 2: and also going to address the people he's going to
- 24:35Speaker 2: meet with the hostages. There are some that have said
- 24:38Speaker 2: in the media that this seems to be grand standing.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I think that's pretty absurd. I think when you're doing
- 24:43Speaker 2: a deal, you showing up also probably puts more pressure
- 24:46Speaker 2: on Hamas to do what they said they're going to
- 24:48Speaker 2: do when you're there. I actually think this is part
- 24:51Speaker 2: of the strategy, Like, Hey, if we get on Air
- 24:53Speaker 2: Force one and we're over there and we're landing, this
- 24:57Speaker 2: is going to make it harder for them to pull out.
- 24:59Speaker 2: We seeing the breaking news of the hostage and the
- 25:01Speaker 2: Red Cross care as released as are underway. That's one
- 25:05Speaker 2: of the other headlines I'm witnessing as we were talking
- 25:07Speaker 2: about this. Having Donald Trump fly there had to put
- 25:10Speaker 2: more pressure on them to do what they said they
- 25:12Speaker 2: were going to do and help almost guarantee or secure
- 25:15Speaker 2: or have a better chance to those hostages being released.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't think it's grandstanding.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I think it was a smart move of diplomacy when
- 25:21Speaker 2: you're dealing with a terrorist organization.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Unquestionably, number one, I think President Trump deeply wanted to
- 25:27Speaker 3: be there to celebrate, to celebrate break their release, to
- 25:30Speaker 3: celebrate this, this crown breaking victory. But number two, in
- 25:34Speaker 3: terms of negotiating President Trump and his entire team, they
- 25:37Speaker 3: know there is a very real chance that Hamas reneges
- 25:41Speaker 3: on the deal that they Hamas has broken deal after
- 25:44Speaker 3: deal after deal. Anyone who is paying the tiniest bit
- 25:48Speaker 3: of attention knows that Hamas is not trustworthy. The fact
- 25:52Speaker 3: that the President of the United States gets on Air
- 25:54Speaker 3: Force one and flies to Israel to be there to say, Okay,
- 25:57Speaker 3: you've said you're going to release the hostages, I'm going
- 25:59Speaker 3: to be there to to to welcome them. That ratchet
- 26:04Speaker 3: ratcheted up the pressure enormously. When he got an Air
- 26:06Speaker 3: Force one. He didn't know he knew there was a
- 26:08Speaker 3: chance that when he landed, Hamas would have said, nevermind,
- 26:11Speaker 3: we're not going to release him, because they've done that
- 26:13Speaker 3: over and over and over again. But I'll tell you this,
- 26:16Speaker 3: Hamas knew that that that President Trump would be unbelievably pissed. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 3: if that were the case, And and and that's it
- 26:24Speaker 3: goes back to to to the doctrine of peace through strength.
- 26:27Speaker 3: That his being there makes clear. Look, guys, I'm not
- 26:30Speaker 3: messing around. We've cut a deal. I expect you to
- 26:32Speaker 3: stick to the deal. And and I think ratcheting up
- 26:35Speaker 3: that pressure, even dealing with people who are not rational
- 26:40Speaker 3: actors like Hamas terrorists, uh they saw, I think real downsides.
- 26:46Speaker 3: If we break this deal, the consequences would be even
- 26:52Speaker 3: more devastating. And and I think there there being his
- 26:56Speaker 3: being there increased the likelihood of the hostages actually being
- 27:01Speaker 3: released dramatically.
- 27:03Speaker 2: By the way, we're getting word now from Israeli sources,
- 27:06Speaker 2: you and I really get to do actual breaking news
- 27:08Speaker 2: and recording. Israeli sources are now saying the first seven
- 27:13Speaker 2: hostages have been released to the Red Cross, so that
- 27:16Speaker 2: means they are in in the hands of people that
- 27:20Speaker 2: are caring for them, loving on them. But again, Israeli
- 27:23Speaker 2: sources are saying the first seven hostages have been released
- 27:25Speaker 2: the Red Cross. There's twenty total, so the first seven
- 27:29Speaker 2: in part that says they're gonna wait for the prisoners.
- 27:31Speaker 2: And I'm assuming now, based on what I've been told
- 27:33Speaker 2: on this, to be released a certain set of the
- 27:36Speaker 2: prisoners that are being released by Israel, then the next
- 27:39Speaker 2: hostages and will come in ways. But this is a
- 27:41Speaker 2: certainly an incredible moment for not just Israel, but for
- 27:45Speaker 2: all of the family members that are hoping to get
- 27:46Speaker 2: their loved ones back. But the first seven hostages have
- 27:48Speaker 2: been released to the Red Cross. This is incredible.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It is incredible, and I'll give credit to President Trump
- 27:54Speaker 3: and to his entire team, and you know, it's striking.
- 27:57Speaker 3: We also saw this week that the Nobel Peace Prize
- 28:01Speaker 3: was awarded, and in any sane world, it would have
- 28:04Speaker 3: been given to Donald Trump. I mean that that that
- 28:06Speaker 3: actually is not a difficult decision. If you're actually asking
- 28:10Speaker 3: in the past year, who has done the most to
- 28:13Speaker 3: advance peace, it's not it's not a close call. Uh.
- 28:17Speaker 3: But but the Nobel Prize or are a bunch of Norwegians,
- 28:21Speaker 3: and and they're European liberals and they hate, hate, hate
- 28:25Speaker 3: Donald Trump.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Uh. So instead they gave it to Maria Coriina Machado,
- 28:30Speaker 3: who is the leading opposition figure in Venezuela, standing up
- 28:35Speaker 3: uh to Nicholas Maduro. And and I will say Machado
- 28:38Speaker 3: is is an extraordinary person. I have I have met
- 28:41Speaker 3: with her in person, I visited with her. She has
- 28:43Speaker 3: demonstrated remarkable courage uh fighting the tyranny of Maduro. Uh.
- 28:52Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, it wasn't even
- 28:56Speaker 3: close that that this should have gone to Trump. And
- 28:58Speaker 3: by the way, again, if if you don't believe me,
- 29:02Speaker 3: then maybe you should believe Machado, because Machado called President Trump.
- 29:09Speaker 3: And here's what President Trump said. He said, quote the
- 29:12Speaker 3: person who actually got the Nobel Prize called today, called
- 29:15Speaker 3: me and said, I'm accepting this in honor of you,
- 29:19Speaker 3: because you really deserved it. And by the way, she
- 29:23Speaker 3: went and then said that publicly as well, So she
- 29:25Speaker 3: not only said that to President Trump, but she said
- 29:28Speaker 3: that publicly. Now, that was very smart Machado, that was
- 29:32Speaker 3: a very smart thing to do. But it also at
- 29:36Speaker 3: this point, it just it's the Nobel Committee being petty liberals.
- 29:42Speaker 3: And by the way, these are the same knuckleheads that
- 29:44Speaker 3: gave the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama when he
- 29:48Speaker 3: was first elected, when he'd literally done nothing, he'd walked
- 29:52Speaker 3: in been sworn into office, and they handed him the
- 29:55Speaker 3: Nobel Peace Prize for simply not being George W. Bush.
- 29:57Speaker 3: He won the Nobel Peace Prize for for existing and
- 30:01Speaker 3: being the Democrat who succeeded Bush. Trump. Look, he could
- 30:06Speaker 3: cure cancer, and the Nobel Prize is not going to
- 30:09Speaker 3: recognize anything because they hate him. But this is an
- 30:14Speaker 3: historic achievement and it is something that everyone should celebrate.
- 30:18Speaker 2: So many of people they are listening to verdict they're
- 30:19Speaker 2: going to get to not only I think here from
- 30:21Speaker 2: probably leadership in Israel in the next several hours. It's
- 30:24Speaker 2: certainly going to happen in the morning or midday. You're
- 30:27Speaker 2: also going to be able to hear from the President
- 30:28Speaker 2: of United States of America.
- 30:30Speaker 1: What do you expect his message to be?
- 30:33Speaker 2: And this is, by the way, all happening right now
- 30:35Speaker 2: while the federal government is still shut down in the US,
- 30:40Speaker 2: and I want to get your take on that in
- 30:41Speaker 2: a moment.
- 30:41Speaker 1: But what do you expect to hear from the president today.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Look, I think the President is going to say, this
- 30:47Speaker 3: is an historic day. This peace agreement is a moment
- 30:52Speaker 3: of history that ended a war that has extended for
- 30:55Speaker 3: two years, that freed people who have been in captivity
- 30:59Speaker 3: for two years subject to horrific treatment. And I think
- 31:04Speaker 3: he's going to say, I expect the parties to stick
- 31:06Speaker 3: to the terms of the agreement. I think he is
- 31:08Speaker 3: going to continue with peace through strength. He's going to
- 31:13Speaker 3: continue with the opposite of weakness and appeasement because we
- 31:16Speaker 3: don't get to this peace agreement without President Trump's strength.
- 31:22Speaker 3: And then this is one thing to remember that there
- 31:25Speaker 3: are some observers who want to say that Donald Trump
- 31:29Speaker 3: is an isolationist. He has never been an isolationist. He
- 31:33Speaker 3: is Look. Look the first term that Trump was in office.
- 31:37Speaker 3: When he came into office, he inherited an Isis caliphate
- 31:41Speaker 3: that had grown under Barack Obama that was the size
- 31:44Speaker 3: of the state of Indiana. They had an entire nation
- 31:47Speaker 3: state to wage terror against America, and Donald Trump utterly
- 31:51Speaker 3: decimated and destroyed it. Within months, the caliphate was gone.
- 31:55Speaker 3: He completely defeated them. He also took out General Solomoni
- 31:59Speaker 3: who took out Albert Daddy. Those are not the actions
- 32:02Speaker 3: of an isolationist. You look at the second term where
- 32:06Speaker 3: he's been bombing the living daylights out of the Huthis
- 32:08Speaker 3: who are attacking ships going through the Suez Canal. He
- 32:12Speaker 3: is bombing the heck out of narco terrorist off the
- 32:14Speaker 3: coast of Venezuela. And by the way, Machada was smart
- 32:17Speaker 3: to say he deserved it, because look, her efforts fighting
- 32:21Speaker 3: Maduro are very important, they're and they're they're courageous. But
- 32:26Speaker 3: President Trump's strength is the single factor that makes it
- 32:29Speaker 3: most likely that the Maduro regime will be toppled. And
- 32:33Speaker 3: so President Trump taking out those narco terrorist is another
- 32:37Speaker 3: example of peace through strength. And finally, the the the
- 32:40Speaker 3: Iran bombing ron taking out their nuclear facilities. None of
- 32:44Speaker 3: those are the acts of an isolationists. Now, to be clear,
- 32:48Speaker 3: President Trump is also not an interventionist. He's not invading
- 32:53Speaker 3: foreign countries. I don't expect to see the Marines engaged
- 32:58Speaker 3: in invading other countries other than to protect the vital
- 33:02Speaker 3: security interest of America, to keep America safe. The only
- 33:05Speaker 3: instance in which we would see a ground war is
- 33:08Speaker 3: is where there was a direct danger to the lives
- 33:14Speaker 3: of Americans, and in those instances, President Trump is willing
- 33:17Speaker 3: to use military force, but he's not engaged in this
- 33:22Speaker 3: broader endeavor to send in our military to try to
- 33:26Speaker 3: turn every country in the world into some utopian democracy.
- 33:31Speaker 3: That's not the job of the military. Donald Trump doesn't
- 33:34Speaker 3: think it's the job of the military. And the result
- 33:39Speaker 3: strength is the best way to avoid war. Our enemies
- 33:45Speaker 3: are afraid of Donald Trump. That is a very good thing.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Hamas is afraid of Donald Trump. Hesbla is afraid of
- 33:52Speaker 3: Donald Trump. Iran is afraid of Donald Trump. Maduro is
- 33:57Speaker 3: afraid of Donald Trump. China and Russia are afraid of
- 34:00Speaker 3: Donald Trump. All of that is good because America is
- 34:04Speaker 3: safer and we are much likely more likely to avoid
- 34:07Speaker 3: military conflict when our enemies are afraid of the commander
- 34:11Speaker 3: in chief than when our enemies You look at Joe Biden,
- 34:14Speaker 3: when they look and say, the commander in chief is
- 34:17Speaker 3: weak and completely incapacitated. And that is why we went
- 34:25Speaker 3: from no wars across the globe to two wars. Ukraine
- 34:30Speaker 3: and Gaza both raging under Joe Biden. That's what happens
- 34:34Speaker 3: when you have a week and appeasing President.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt about it. Again, this is breaking as
- 34:39Speaker 2: we continue. Israeli sources are now saying the first seven
- 34:43Speaker 2: living hostages have been released to the Red Cross in
- 34:47Speaker 2: Tel Aviv right now. We are witnessing celebration in the streets.
- 34:51Speaker 2: We are seeing this in Jerusalem as well. The videos
- 34:54Speaker 2: are trying to come in as is basically eight forty
- 34:56Speaker 2: am in Israel right now. We're seeing people lying reach
- 35:00Speaker 2: of the highway right now and Rim Israel as well.
- 35:03Speaker 1: And this is just some of that excitement after two.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Plus years of these people that were taken on that
- 35:10Speaker 2: October seventh attack day. We're going to keep monitoring this
- 35:14Speaker 2: obviously until we wrap up. But I do want to
- 35:16Speaker 2: get you an update for everyone on the government shutdown
- 35:19Speaker 2: here in the US. We are into two weeks now
- 35:22Speaker 2: of this government shutdown. We are starting to see it
- 35:24Speaker 2: affect people's lives or seeing healthcare issues with those For example,
- 35:29Speaker 2: in San Antonio, I was there today talking about there's
- 35:32Speaker 2: a lot of people there that are saying that the
- 35:34Speaker 2: providers are not able to get the money and the
- 35:36Speaker 2: funding they need.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Doctors are frustrated.
- 35:39Speaker 2: The Schumer shutdown is really starting to hurt people in
- 35:41Speaker 2: our military, their kids, those with special needs as well.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Your reaction. How much long are this is going to continue?
- 35:47Speaker 2: And do you see any movement this week?
- 35:49Speaker 3: Well, we're right now in day twelve of the Schumer shutdown,
- 35:53Speaker 3: and the government is shut down because over and over
- 35:56Speaker 3: and over again, the Democrats are voting shut the government down.
- 36:01Speaker 3: And I will say, you know, it's actually interesting today
- 36:04Speaker 3: on Twitter, fifty three Republicans was trending, and the reason
- 36:09Speaker 3: it was trending was an exchange back and forth that
- 36:12Speaker 3: I had with Gavin Newsom on the shutdown. So Gavin
- 36:15Speaker 3: Newsom tweeted out, Wow, that is wild. I wonder who
- 36:19Speaker 3: has control of the White House, Senate and the House.
- 36:21Speaker 3: And this is one of the Democrat talking points as well.
- 36:24Speaker 3: This is the Republican's fault because the President and the
- 36:28Speaker 3: Senate and the House are all in Republican control. Here's
- 36:32Speaker 3: what I responded on X. I said, Gavin is deliberately
- 36:35Speaker 3: lying to fund the government. Takes sixty votes in the Senate.
- 36:41Speaker 3: There are only fifty three Republicans. We need at least
- 36:46Speaker 3: seven Democrats. We keep voting to open the government, Dems
- 36:51Speaker 3: keep voting to shut it down. Gavin Newsom knows this
- 36:57Speaker 3: and he's lying to you. And as of right now,
- 37:00Speaker 3: it's had one point seven million views. It was trending
- 37:02Speaker 3: on Twitter. And it's the simple fact we cannot pass
- 37:06Speaker 3: funding for the government without sixty votes in the Senate.
- 37:09Speaker 3: That means there is nothing Republicans can do to fund
- 37:12Speaker 3: this on our own. The Democrats all know this. We
- 37:16Speaker 3: have voted, I think eight times now the Republicans have
- 37:19Speaker 3: voted to open the government to fund the government, and
- 37:23Speaker 3: every Democrat but I think three, have voted no. And
- 37:29Speaker 3: that's why we have a shutdown. Now. We're all expected
- 37:33Speaker 3: to go back to DC on Tuesday of this week
- 37:35Speaker 3: and we'll vote again to fund the government. I voted
- 37:37Speaker 3: to fund the government now, over and over and over again.
- 37:40Speaker 3: I'll vote again on Tuesday to fund the government. And
- 37:43Speaker 3: I think it is very likely right now the Democrats
- 37:46Speaker 3: will continue the Schumer shutdown.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Wow.
- 37:49Speaker 3: And I'll tell you what I think is one of
- 37:51Speaker 3: the major reasons is coming up on October seventeenth, there
- 37:55Speaker 3: is this big rally in DC, No King's Rally, bunch
- 38:00Speaker 3: of the left wing radicals are coming to DC. And
- 38:04Speaker 3: and you know what, most of my colleagues believe is
- 38:08Speaker 3: the Democrat senators are terrified of opening the government before
- 38:12Speaker 3: that rally because they don't want their crazy base, the
- 38:16Speaker 3: same base that that almost cost Schumer the job his
- 38:19Speaker 3: job last time. They don't want their crazy base to
- 38:22Speaker 3: get angry, and so I think most of us.
- 38:25Speaker 2: So you're telling me the American people right now that
- 38:29Speaker 2: there's a very good chance that the government shutdown will
- 38:31Speaker 2: continue because of a rally date.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Yep. And that date again is what October seventeenth?
- 38:37Speaker 2: Okay, so the thirteenth, fourteenthie, okay, So we got another
- 38:41Speaker 2: five six days of this just to get to the
- 38:44Speaker 2: rally and then maybe we'll actually do their job and
- 38:46Speaker 2: like fund the government.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Look, at some point they're going to do their job
- 38:50Speaker 3: and fund the government. But you know, a bunch of
- 38:53Speaker 3: federal federal employees are about to miss their first paycheck.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I'll tell you. Ordinarily, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines would
- 39:00Speaker 3: lose their first paycheck as well. The Trump Department of
- 39:04Speaker 3: Wars said they're going to move some funds around and
- 39:07Speaker 3: pay our servicemen and women, and Democrats are furious. How
- 39:11Speaker 3: dare you find a way? Look, I don't know if
- 39:13Speaker 3: they can do it because it is not easy with
- 39:15Speaker 3: the funding paused. But the Democrats don't care. And I'll
- 39:18Speaker 3: tell you one of the great acts of hypocrisy is
- 39:23Speaker 3: the Democrat congressmen are all paying themselves, or most of them,
- 39:27Speaker 3: maybe I don't know about all. But so, under the
- 39:31Speaker 3: twenty eighth Amendment to the Constitution, the compensation of a
- 39:35Speaker 3: member of Congress cannot be reduced during your term of office,
- 39:38Speaker 3: which means during a shutdown, House members and senators get
- 39:42Speaker 3: paid no matter what, even though everyone else their paycheck stop.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Elected members of Congress get their paycheck. Now you can
- 39:49Speaker 3: say no. So I sent a letter to the Secretary
- 39:52Speaker 3: of the Senate saying, please hold my paycheck, do not
- 39:55Speaker 3: pay me. I do not want that money deposited in
- 39:58Speaker 3: my account till the government shutdown ends, until our service
- 40:03Speaker 3: members are being paid. I'm not going to pay myself.
- 40:05Speaker 3: But you look at these Democrats who are happily shutting
- 40:08Speaker 3: the government down. They're also taking their own paycheck and saying, gosh,
- 40:11Speaker 3: I like being paid. And you know they are not
- 40:16Speaker 3: troubled at all. If if some young corporal serving overseas
- 40:21Speaker 3: suddenly doesn't get his paycheck and can't pay his bills
- 40:24Speaker 3: this week.
- 40:25Speaker 1: It's incredible.
- 40:26Speaker 2: As we wrap this up at one forty seven am
- 40:30Speaker 2: Eastern Center time, the latest news we have, and this
- 40:33Speaker 2: is good news. Israeli sorts are saying the first seven
- 40:35Speaker 2: living hostages have been released the Red Cross. We're obviously
- 40:39Speaker 2: waiting on the other thirteen and that hopefully by the
- 40:42Speaker 2: time you get to hear this in the morning on
- 40:45Speaker 2: your commuter in the afternoon, they've all been released.
- 40:48Speaker 1: But this is certainly a good day.
- 40:50Speaker 2: And we'll have a lot more on this, I can
- 40:52Speaker 2: promise on Wednesday morning as well.
- 40:54Speaker 3: And Ben, let me say this. Let me say this finally, Yeah,
- 40:57Speaker 3: number one, congratulations to President Trump and team. Congratulations to
- 41:01Speaker 3: Prime Minister Netanyahu and his team. Congratulations to the people
- 41:05Speaker 3: of Israel who are celebrating right now and rightly celebrating.
- 41:08Speaker 3: And I just want to say, praise God. God is
- 41:11Speaker 3: good all of the time.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Amen.
